you've been with him for a while now. and the both of you became close in your relationship, finding comfort in each other's presence– and yet still a question lingered in the back of your mind.

it was only a matter of time before you asked him. after all, the very existence of your relationship and it's longevity relied on this single question alone.

hesitating for a moment, you clear your throat to grab his attention. you part your lips, mustering up the courage to ask him the all-important question:

"would you still love me if i was a worm?"

▸ "what...?" DILUC blinks at you about several times, as he tries to figure out whether he had just imagined those words, or if they had actually came out of your mouth.

"would you still love me if i was a worm?" you repeat, more slowly this time, ensuring he hears you loud and clear.

the look on his face is hard to discern. whether he's disappointed in you for asking the question, himself for not having an answer, or even genuinely debating in what he would do if you were turned into a worm is beyond you. it takes him a few second to figure out a response.

he looks up at you, furrowing his brow. "why would you be turned into a worm in the first place?"

"that's not important!"

"i'd say it is, actually. possibly one of the main questions to ask if you were turned into a worm."

you glance at him– and you catch a tiny grin forming on his face. a small laugh escapes your lips, nudging him with your elbow as you press on.

"i don't care what questions you'd wanna ask worm me. i wouldn't be able to respond– so, would you still love me?"

diluc sighs, a small chuckle escaping his lips. "i love you now. and i would ensure, that if you were somehow turned into a worm– no harm would come upon you."

▸ "that's a good question..." ITTO mumbles, rubbing his chin. he's in deep thought for a solid minute– before quickly zoning back into reality, with a snap of his fingers.

"I GOT IT!" he proclaims, stumbling upon a revelation that he is clearly excited to share with you.

he clears his throat, preparing for this mind blowing solution to your hypothetical worm situation.

"we'd just be insect buddies! i could be like– a cool, strong onikabuto! you wouldn't have to worry your cute little worm head about being loved at all! we'd go everywhere together, hang out all the time, do whatever insects do–"

"i'd like to point out that worms aren't insects." you say, cutting him off mid ramble.

"bug buddies then?" he suggests, raising an eyebrow.

"that's a synonym for insect." still, it's hard to hide your smile growing as you think of his response. "...you'd turn yourself into a bug for worm me?"

he pats you on the head, grinning brightly. "i'd do anything for you– and you don't gotta be a worm for that."

▸ KAEYA laughs, before looking you in the eye.

"probably not."

you practically feel your heart collapse over itself, under the weight of his words. pressing a hand to your chest, you feign insult as long as you can before caving in and asking,

"...really?" your eyes search his face for an answer, wondering if he's being serious or not.

he notices the softness in your voice. the way your lips pout slightly, as you await a response.

kaeya treads carefully now– too scared to actually hurt you over what he might say. "well, would you love me if you were a worm?"

your brows furrow as you think. "after your response, i'm not so sure. i can't live a worm life of unrequited worm love."

he chuckles. there's a genuine warmth to it this time, not mocking or teasing you at all.

"then you won't have to. i'll just have to love you no matter what shape you take," he gently places his hand over yours, "i couldn't break your little worm heart."

you can't help but laugh at the last part, snickering softly. he barely conceals his own grin.

"how cruel of you to laugh at me– i really am trying to be earnest." he smiles. the glimmer in his eyes betrays him.

It is February 14, 1990-something and Richie and Eddie are spending their first Valentine’s Day as an official couple together. They have spent the whole day doing little romantic couple things around the town, well as romantic as a gay couple in the 90s who live in a small town can get.

They went to the movies together, went to a cafe with each other and even surprised one another with little chocolates and sweets.

As the time started to get later they decided it was best if they started to head back home. As they were walking back Richie could tell Eddie was a bit bummed out about something, worried about his boyfriend, he decided to figure out what was the matter.

“What’s up Ed’s? You look a little bummed out there. So sad to already see me go? Or are you worried that I might sneak out to hang out with Mrs K tonight, which I can assure you won’t happen since you’re the only man for me. Even if Mrs K is good in bed” Richie said with a smug grin, rapping his arm around Eddie’s shoulders.

“First off, fuck you and secondly, Beep Beep Richie.” Eddie said with his classic annoyed face but Richie knew he secretly loved it. but as the seconds flew by his facial expression turned into a much more softer one.

“I just-… I don’t know, I just wished we could do all those romantic things every other couple gets to do or just even be able at all to act like we’re a couple.” Eddie looked down as he talked, looking more upset as he talked “like deep down I was kinda hoping that we would do something like… I don’t know … a date?”

He said the last bit much more quietly and if Richie wasn’t listening so carefully to everything that Eddie was saying, he probably wouldn’t have heard him. Richie softly smiled to himself, he had planned for this exact moment.

“Why don’t you come back to my place? Spend some special time with me, if you know what I mean” Richie said winking and nudging Eddie with his elbow.

“BEEP. FUCKING. BEEP RICHIE” Eddie yelled, halting in his tracks.

“No but seriously Eds, why don’t you come to my place? My parents are out on a date right now so why don’t you come over and we can maybe have some romantic time, just the two of us.” Richie asked. Eddie thought about the offer for a minute but then simply replied 

“Why not”

As they finally arrived at the Tozier residence, Richie suddenly stopped in the driveway. Eddie, surprised by The sudden stop, turned around to see what was the matter.

“What? Did something happen?” Eddie questioned, worried about Richie.

“Oh no, nothings wrong! Just stay here for a second I need to check on something” Richie said quickly, running to the his house but stopping at the front door to turn around, “don’t worry, I won’t be doing anything too bad” he winked 

Eddie sighed as Richie entered his house wondering ‘what the hell was Richie doing in there?’ But not too long later Richie appears back at the door beckoning him to come in. As Eddie approached the front door he was hit with a wave of what smelt like some sort of pasta dish, he entered the house with Richie guiding him to the kitchen. When he peered into the kitchen he saw Richie’s kitchen table had two plates of spaghetti sitting on either side of the table with a vast of flowers and lighted candles set in the middle. It looked like one of those romantic dinners straight out of a movie. 

Eddie was shocked, he was amazed. When Richie invited him over he expected them to just hang out, watch a movie not have an amazing romantic dinner. Richie, obviously thinking he had done something wrong by Eddie’s reaction, started to panic.

“If you don’t like it, just say so. I mean we don’t even have to have dinner if you don’t want to. I-” before Richie could even finish, Eddie cut him off

“No, no, no Richie, This- oh my god, this is amazing! I love it” Richie smiled, looking relieved that Eddie actually did, in fact, like it.

“Well good, I worked my ass off preparing this meal and I know that you wouldn't want this ass to work so hard for nothing Eds.” Richie said, giving Eddie a smug grin “Now let’s eat, shall we? Don’t want stop you from committing cannibalism any longer, Eddie spaghetti”

“That’s not my name.” Eddie replied with a small smile as they sat down. The food was much better than what he had expected, probably since the last time Richie tried to cook anything he almost burned down the house. It felt like they were on an actual date, complete with soft romantic music playing in the background and the candles emitting some of the only light in the room. As they finished their meal Richie started to gain a small smile on his lips which was so infectious that Eddie couldn't stop himself from smiling more than he already was, which he didn’t even know was possible. 

“How do you feel about some dancing, Eds?” Richie asked as he got up and started to clear the dishes off the table “I know you can’t keep your hands off of me” 

“You wish” Eddie replied, though the idea of dancing was quite intriguing for Eddie. “Do you have a mixtape already or are we just gonna have to find some radio station for some music?” 

“I have something already don't you worry” Richie said, his smile getting bigger as he started moving around the kitchen appearing to be looking for something then all of a sudden he stopped “shit! I think I forgot it in my room. Give me a second!” then he ran up the stairs, running to his room.

Eddie let out a small sigh, not because he was upset, actually on the contrary. He was amused. Richie was always forgetting things, his homework, his key to his house, he even once forgot his glasses, which Eddie still had no clue how that could have ever happened. It could be very annoying when Richie forgot something, especially if that something was important, but Eddie always found it a tiny bit funny. 

Eddie started to wander off, but was quickly whipped out of his thoughts as he heard the loud thud of Richie jumping over the last few steps of his stairs and landing on the floor. He turned around to see Richie holding up his arm, revealing that he had, in fact, found the mixtape and was holding it. Richie moved over to where the cassette player was located on the kitchen counter and popped the mixtape in. 

“This ones for you, Eddie my love” Richie said before he hit play on the player, moving away from the counter and towards Eddie as the lyrics of the song started to drift out of the player. Soon Eddie realized the reason why Richie’s big smile was for as he heard the first lyrics of the song.

‘Eddie my love, I love you so’

Eddie softly smiled to himself. Of course Richie had chosen that song, it was such a Richie thing to do. But Eddie found it romantic nonetheless. His smile only widened more as he heard Richie singing along to all the lyrics, putting his hands around Eddie's waist and starting to slow dance. They stayed like that for hours, slow dancing to whatever music Richie decided was romantic enough to put on his mixtape and it was as they slow dancing Eddie realised that even though they aren’t at some super fancy restaurant, displaying to the whole world their love for each other. This, this was the perfect valentine's day. Just him and Rich slow dancing together and eating the meal Richie had prepared for the two of them. Just them hanging out and having fun together. This was the valentine's day Eddie had always dreamed of and he wouldn't trade it for the world.

Mikoto is generally a touchy person, liking to poke, nudge, and lean into friends to gain more familiarity. However, when he's in love, he makes sure his physical contact is a bit more solid. Rather than cute little pokes, he'll rest his hand firmly on their arm. Rather than a fun slinging-his-arm-over-their-shoulders, he'll go for a more stable arm around them. So when he wants to cuddle, he's the most sturdy presence there is. Big spoon, little spoon, or unconventional angle, he’s very secure. It’s calming to the other while also being grounding for him, too. (Sometimes he’s overstimulated and can’t handle too much touch, but many times) he’ll seek out cuddles as a way to calm himself down. 

He has the miraculous ability to multitask while cuddling. No matter what position he's in, he can manage to carry on with his usual activities. This can earn him scolding from his partner if he's too distracted, but usually it's a good thing – he can be in the middle of something important and still find time to show his partner that he cares about them. Sometimes it’s something normal like checking his phone or scribbling writing down in a notebook, but other times it’s a bit more ridiculous (I can see him eating a full bowl of messy noodles at the worst angle ever, but still not spilling a drop…) 

He’s chatty when he cuddles. His mind is always running, so his mouth is as well. Most of the time he’s continuing his conversation with his partner, excited for a moment together. Sometimes he’s muttering to himself about work or his daily tasks. Other times he’s absently singing/humming in their ear. As he gets further into the relationship, his partner can convince him to slow down and relax more. Though he never completely loses his chatty habit, he does enjoy peaceful silence more often – sometimes soothing him all the way to sleep.

V   :   VALENTINE.   how does your muse feel about valentine’s day?

sooo i have this thought in my brain that somewhere locked up inside of percy is a hopeless romantic. it's like a very private part of him & he is less willing to show it to people he's not romantically involved with. even then, it's one of the few things he's hesitant about. i think part of this is because of how intensely he feels his love, though. he's almost afraid that if he puts it out there it will be rejected of it & romance is one of the few parts of him that still feels new. ( i think it always does, too )

but with that context in mind, i think percy loves valentine's day. he loves showering his partner in gifts, i think he loves the excuse to open a fancy bottle of wine & just spend time with his partner(s depending on the verse )

this being said, i think he panics a ton about it as well. like there is this impending expectation he sets for himself for everything to be perfect, because that is what his partner(s) deserve. he prioritizes & reflects what he thinks they will end up needing out of him because he wants to be that for them. it can get stressful & a little overwhelming but it doesn't outweigh the satisfaction of seeing his plans fall into place.

also, if anyone were to ever find out how much valentine's day means to him he would probably simply implode. mostly in that ' don't perceive me don't percieve me don't percieve me ' way but also in the ' this is a part of my that is Too Honest for me to feel comfortable sharing w just anyone ' way if that makes sense?

— it flipped his world upside down, completely blindsiding him because this could only mean one thing: elijah was going have to step out of his comfort zone and to be forced to spend more time with you, primarily outside of school. yikes!

• he hated to pat himself on the back, but elijah has deemed himself as the first official friend that you’ve made ever since you came to willowbrook

— but this didn’t mean that he didn’t get jealous.

• you always had ideas on how you two could spend more time together such as giving each other playlists for song recommendations, going to the movies, things like that…but elijah didn’t like whenever you suggested doing something that concerned more than just each other’s company. crowds.

— he fucking hated crowds, mainly the school’s football games because it meant that your undivided attention wouldn’t constantly be on him.

— and it doesn’t help that you are oblivious to his blossoming crush on you and start to swoon over the cute band geeks or football players. elijah felt like a sore thumb, someone not worthy of your time…even though he knows deep down in his heart that you and him are meant to be together.

• if there is a point where he catches you talking with another guy, elijah will give him the nastiest look in all of existence.

— there are a few times where elijah has just flat-out lies to a few of your classmates and told them that you and him were dating just so they would back off. there have been lots of close calls.

• he’s one clingy bastard. he’ll admit that outright.

• after dropping you off at home, elijah will return to his house feeling pent up, and if that happens, he’ll l do one of two things:

use a sharp kitchen knife to carve your name into the thick of his pasty thigh. he will even make sure to cut a giant heart around it for extra gusto. and, yes…he does take photos of his beautiful work. he wants to send them all to you, desperately, but knows that they’ll only scare you off.

wank one off to some photos of you that you either posted or took himself, or into one of your undergarments that he was able to steal. still…his hand and your underwear pales in comparison to what pleasure you could give him. elijah wants to feel your warmth. cuddle you closely and whisper sweet nothings into your ear as he presses his naked body against yours.

• that’s when he had an epiphany. there is a school dance coming up. as much as elijah didn’t want to blow through his money, he knew that you were worth it. all those lovely conversations you shared with him couldn’t be for nothing, right? you MUST like him back.

• and that’s how he spent the next few nights, thinking of ideas for the board and when he finally had an idea of what he could do, he wasted no time in making it for you.

• when elijah got to school, he made sure to ask you in the morning since he didn’t want to be holding the board the entire day.

• you immediately shook your head when he popped the magic question.

• he instinctively laughed at this, but not in a condescending way. he just didn’t understand why you were doing this to him. all eyes were on him, not you. you like him back, don’t you, so why are you toying with him?

(a very late valentine's day special) how twst characters would fall in love with you!

okay, so when i created this blog last year, i didn't have much time to write something for valentine's day, but i thought that i should try and write something for it this year!

at first i wanted to write something like "how twst characters would confess their love for you", i wanted it to be a reference to the "how twst characters would react to your love confession" series i made back when i just created this blog and i still only have the heartslabyul, savanaclaw and octavinelle hcs. i am sorry. but to be honest, i didn't have a lot of ideas and it was hard to find inspiration, so i decided to go with something different. but who knows, maybe i'll actually write it one day! also i know that this idea is very basic and i'm sorry.

this post has all nrc students (except ortho) + rsa and nbc characters, so GET READY BECAUSE THIS IS GONNA BE A VERY LONG POST.

also i'm having some really bad internet problems rn and even though i can use mobile data, EDITING ON MY PHONE IS A PAIN. I CAN'T DO ANYTHING. and idk when wifi will start working again and i'll be able to use my computer again, so sorry if this post looks weird, has typos and stuff like that, I JUST WANT TO POST IT ALREADY. ♡ he doesn't understand you at all. you should be afraid of him, you should actually hate him for what he did and how he acted earlier. he was the first to overblot in front of you, he's sure it was quite a traumatic memory from you. and it's not like he treated you better than he treated other nrc students, he was just as willing to punish you for any "misbehavior". so why.. why do you still want you and riddle to become closer? you simply don't think that riddle actually had bad intentions, he just genuinely thought that everything will be okay if he just follows the rules and makes others follow them. so.. you don't think he's a bad person or anything like that. just someone who has a lot of issues and doesn't know how to deal with them properly. and after you say that.. riddle starts feeling very strange.

♡ falling in love with you feels so sudden, riddle doesn't remember being this interested in you when he first met you. he has to admit that he even kind of.. looked down on you back then and didn't think you were that special. though the case of you being the only magicless student here really was special. he also was angry at you because of you being so close with ace and deuce.. but now, he feels different. as he learns more about you and starts getting used to your company, he realizes that he actually likes you a lot. he even admires you, because it must be hard to deal with so much stuff as someone who's magicless he's sorry for being the first to overblot btw. he's always here if you need any help.

♡ why did he fall in love with you? well, you're certainly a very smart, strong and kind person, but the main reason was.. he was just happy to be understood by someone. he didn't expect you out of all people to forgive him, but it sure was a nice surprise. you're always here to calm him down when he's close to using his unique magic or yelling at someone for breaking the rules again, however, you don't blame him for acting like that and you say that his feelings are valid, he just has to find a better way to express them and process them. so.. it probably just feels nice to be seen as someone other than a rose-red tyrant.

♡ after that, rollo's love for you becomes even stronger. he can't stop thinking about you and it's hard to tell if he's in love with you or he's obsessed with you. when you have to go back to nrc, it gets even worse and everything around rollo reminds him of you. he really wishes you could spend more time together and he wasn't so focused on his plan. he's gonna be honest, he doesn't really regret doing.. well, all that, but the fact that he could use that time to talk to you more makes him think that maybe.. maybe trying to steal everyone's magic wasn't a good idea. yes, he thinks so only because he could spend more time with you instead of taking everyone's powers. listen, he needs some time, he will change. probably. maybe.

♡ Mary

With a delicate and highly sophisticated palate, Mary is always searching for something new to satisfy her. For Valentine's Day, she books a private tour at a high-end champagne house.

Her driver is scheduled to pick you up in the early afternoon. She arranged your date so “late” to give herself ample time to settle on an outfit. Her room is littered with hat boxes and empty hangers and piles of ‘maybes’. Everything must be perfect for you. But, every second without you feeds into her restlessness, and she ends up calling you to fill the time. Hours go by on the phone & she still refuses to hang up until she pulls outside your residence.

When she first greets you from the backseat of her car, her hands are on you immediately. She smoothes out the collar of your jacket and peppers a couple of warm kisses all across your face, somehow never quite landing on your lips. She quickly dabs away all the lipstick stamps she left with her handkerchief and apologizes for being so forward,,, only to end up doing it again.

Mary takes high pride in her outfits and never compromises on looking classy. But somewhere in the back of your head, you think: All white? To a wine tasting? What if she gets red stains on her dress? From anyone else, this comment would insult her ― she doesn't take kindly to the insinuation that she's a klutz. Coming from you, she laughs it off saying she's always looked better in red anyway.

She waits until arriving for your tour to present her gifts. Mary gives VERY generously. There's an entire table prepared for you. Mountains of roses, desserts, tickets to that trip you've always wanted to take, luxury spa packages -- she has everything.

♡ Norton

This Valentine's Day is the first Norton will be spending with someone. He'll act like he's not that invested in it, that he's just indulging you.

He keeps up a haughty smirk when you first meet for your date. You had a love letter delivered to him that morning, and he's 100% taking the opportunity to tease you about it. You wrote some pretty embarrassing things about him. How's the real deal living up to your expectations? Dying to bring some of those thoughts to life already? Unfortunately, you insisted on having a traditional date for Valentine's, so you'll have to keep yourself in check until tonight. ← He knows he makes you crazy & he loves having that effect on you.

He gives you chocolates as a gift. They're clearly homemade, shaped like rocks of various sizes with a little gold-dusted heart hidden among them. But just in case you wouldn't be able to recognize them as rocks, he also provided a little toothpick "pickaxe."

Presenting something homemade is a little embarrassing, even if he hides it with that big grin of his. He gives your present a little too fast before switching back to teasing you again.

♡ Philippe

As a perfectionist, Philippe starts planning for Valentine's Day very early. He experiments with all sorts of gift ideas. You're not sure what's going through his head, but he has a highly specific vision and won't rest until he achieves it. He seems to find it important that he gives you something handmade.

Matching photo lockets? A decoden case (if you're into fun phone cases)? Not meaningful enough. A flower vase modeled after his own hand, to sit on your desk? Too tacky. A wax figure? Maybe, but that's too predictable on its own. Maybe he should learn guitar to serenade you.

His final choice is ambitious, but Philippe always is. He builds a little table out of resin, and preserved inside it are your favorite flowers, with detailed wax figurines of you and him dancing among them. It sits in a corner of his favorite room, where he often does dance with you ♡

On the day itself, Philippe would prefer to stay home. It's one of the rare times he gets to have you to himself free of work constraints.

He's the type that always needs to be doing something with his hands. He'd enjoy making chocolate sculptures together -- it's a cute idea, he thinks, to watch you make something so passionately. Whatever your skill level, he loves anything you make.

In the evening, he'll take over all the cooking. A quiet night with steak and good wine (or your preferred drink) is a little cliche, but you both deserve it. Plus, he loves nothing more than casually chatting with you while he works in the kitchen.

♡ Naib

Naib isn't really into the idea of Valentine's Day. He might not even realize it's coming up unless you tell him about it. You'd have to be explicit that you're looking forward to spending the day with him, and even then, he's totally unprepared.

Gifts have never been his forte. Neither have grand romantic gestures. But he's good at working his pragmatic side into the little things: so rather than push himself to be this lovey-dovey, chocolates-and-roses type of lover for the day, he focuses on being 'present' for you.

He brings you breakfast in bed. He's a mean cook, and knows all your favorites. Everything he makes tastes like home, warm and full of love.

Most couples give each other flowers, he knows that, so he goes shopping for one. You're surprised when he presents you with a bouquet of lemons. In his mind, they're cool and refreshing like you, everyone could find a use for some lemons, and personally he finds the colors to be appealing. It doesn't occur to him that lemon bouquets might be an unusual thing to give.

He relies on you to direct the date. Whatever you say, he'll agree. In public, he never leans in for kisses but wouldn't oppose yours. You can try to stand closer to him & he'll slink an arm around your waist briefly, as if to reassure you that he'll always have a secure hold on you, but he'll pull away again before long.

♡ Percy

In spite of all of his eccentricities, Percy is surprisingly traditional when it comes to romance. He invites you to a nice dinner date & arrives much earlier than you, waiting with a bouquet and chocolates. When he first sees you, he wraps a secure arm around your shoulders to tenderly kiss your forehead.

Getting to see this side of him is the payoff of building such a deep relationship with him. Percy is a difficult person to get through. He's obsessive to a fault and cloisters himself away in his studio for days at a time ― no one else would have been able to breach his heart like you have. He will take proper measures to express your importance to him.

His first real kiss leaves tiny particles of something on your lips, but they're sweet in taste. He laughs at the startled look on your face and reassures you it was just a sugar cube. At first he says he was just fishing for a reaction, but later confesses: he was afraid the lips of an undead man might have an odd taste, so he crunched a sugar cube to sweeten it.

♡ Eli

Eli spends the morning delivering roses to other couples on his bicycle. People tend to get especially flattered when their flowers arrive via owl, so his services are very popular this time of year.

He enjoys the little bouts of happiness he can bring to others, but of course you are the one he wants to spend this day with most. With every bouquet he delivers, his mind wanders to you, imagining your reaction when he finally gets to deliver his gift.

He asks you to meet him at an ice cream parlor when his shift is done, around noon. Before you even see him, Brooke Rose flies over to tuck a thornless rose behind your ear, and you turn to find Eli already waiting at a table.

He gives you a small homemade cake and a letter he won't let you read until he's gone. He's a pretty sappy guy even in person, so you aren't sure how his letter will be much different. But having something to be excited about, even after you have to say goodbye, makes it worth it.

His bike rides have left very familiar with all the best spots around town. After splitting ice cream, he takes you for a ride to all the little places he thinks you'll love. A flower meadow, a bridge with a superstition attached: if you whisper the name of your love while crossing it, you'll be bound for life. Part of you suspects he made that up, but the way he says your name over and over makes your heart skip a beat.

Once the sun goes down, he brings you to a forest. Somehow he manages to time it just right. He gestures for you to stay very quiet, gently takes your hands, and suddenly you're encircled by hundreds of fireflies.

♡ Michiko

Since losing her ex-husband, Valentine's Day has become a bitter thing for Michiko, especially since it's so close to their anniversary. She has treated it as a day of mourning for some years. Of course, she keeps up a smile for you ― it's not in her character to impose her struggles on others.

The morning goes by slowly and comfortably. You wake up to a gentle massage and the smell of fresh baked pastries. She writes you a sweet letter in her neat script, and she adorns her letter with pressed flowers & a mini bouquet of your favorite candy.

She makes sure to get you a proper gift, too. She follows a rule of getting 1 indulgent and 1 practical thing: a box of luxury chocolates alongside a fine new coat.

Her ideal date would be something intimate and relaxing. Maybe the theatre, in a box reserved for two, or a shaded flower garden where you can enjoy a cup of tea.

after getting asked about my domestic rosekiller hc, i couldn’t stop thinking about it, so i’ve compiled a list. i could add so many more, so if anyone is actually interested in this maybe i’ll make another heheheh

- evan actually really enjoys cooking meals for the two of them, even if barty is an absolute nuisance in the kitchen. always stealing kisses and slapping his ass. stirring whatever is in the pot and pretending like he knows exactly what he’s doing (secretly he does know what he’s doing, but he loves when evan cooks for him, and evan is more than happy to indulge him <3)

-barty is a stress cleaner! he’s not always tidy, actually rather frequently he outright refuses to make the bed or will forget to wash his dishes, but then he goes and has one minor inconvenience and evan will come home to the couch on the other side of the room and the pantry reorganized by the color of each item.

-save water, shower together. there’s not a single chance you’ll find either of them showering on their own. they say it’s for the environment, but truthfully they are just severely connected at the hip, and barty wants any excuse to see evan naked

-evan will (and does) steal the same hoodie of barty’s anytime he is cold. might as well be part of his closet at this point. and before they actually started dating, barty would go out of his way to make sure it was clean every time evan came over even if it meant forking over four extra dollars worth of quarters and dealing with the bitchy lady at the laundromat (i did, in fact, include this hc in like smoke behind glass)

-i have it on good authority that for valentine’s day barty tried to bake evan a heart shaped cake (vanilla with raspberry jam and vanilla bean frosting), but he fucked it up real bad and forgot the LITERAL SUGAR but evan still plastered on the fakest damn smile and told him he was proud of barty

-evan is the early riser out of the two of them. that’s not to say he doesn’t enjoy sleeping in. but he likes to get up early, even on his slow days, so he can make breakfast just for barty (this goes hand in hand with the cooking one). breakfast is his favorite part of the day, and he likes to make sure barty does eat in the mornings instead of claiming that an energy drink is sustainable enough to start the entire day.

-barty is the night owl!!! again, not to say that evan won’t stay up late, but there’s more of a chance for barty to stay up literally all night long because he gets distracted by everything around him. in that case, more often than not, he can be found scrolling aimlessly on his phone in bed with one hand while the other strokes lazily at evan’s hair

-on more than one occasion barty has gotten so fucking high that he gets on his knees and begs evan to take him through the mcdonald’s drive thru because he will die if he doesn’t consume a ten piece nugget and a large sprite. evan just laughs at him and always, always, always takes barty through the drive thru. somehow they always end up with more than what they came for, and barty always shares his fries with evan even when he’s cranky.

-evan is a stickler for following plans. time management is his thing even if it means literally pulling barty by the ear to get the fuck up or hurry because he doesn’t have time to wait around or play with barty’s antics. barty teases him relentlessly, but it’s all in the name of love because he secretly loves seeing evan all riled up like that man WILL get hard over the smallest of fucking things he’s that far gone for evan.

-even though barty tries, he can never steal anything from evan’s closet because his stupid waist is TINY and no pants fit over his hips and all the shirts in his closet look like fucking crop tops on barty which he thinks is hilarious and LOVES to point out to evan anytime he tries to weasel his way into one of evan’s shirts

-evan is weirdly into teeth like he WILL go through a whole process with barty every morning and every evening to make sure they brush and floss. on more than once occasion, evan has even convinced barty to let him floss his teeth for him because he just wants to get his hands on barty’s precious teeth.

-both of them are actually super sentimental even though neither of them will admit it out loud. barty still has the ticket stub from the first film they went to see together. keeps it inside his wallet for memories and what have you. and the one time barty showed up with a bouquet of godforsaken roses trying to impress evan, evan kept one of the flowers, pressing it between his big ass books until it was preserved and dried. he still keeps it safe between the pages of the book, opening it on occasion to just smile at the silly little gesture.

Portia: she realized last minute that the picnic lunch she's making you would be even better with an extra ingredient and dipped out to buy it. you're not going to be alone much longer, that's for sure!

Lucio: he got so excited planning his big Valentine's day bash that he forgot to invite you. hunts you down with a pout when the party isn't as fun as it's supposed to be, drags you out to make it better
