mistki's the land is inhospitable and so are we (2023)!! as edits featuring mine and some of my friends ocs 😁 had a lot of fun with this project... rough explainer of how/why each song corresponds to each character/s under the cut because i love symbolism and talking! sorry it is long
bug like an angel - sapphire
Tumblr media
without spoiling too much of her story and arc... sapphire's life is not easy. she's hurt by people she cares for and who care for her, although inadvertently, and in turn hurts people who she cares for and who cared for her, also not by her own volition. it's kind of a terrible truth that you will harm and be harmed by the people you love, even when you and they truly don't want to. it's up to you how much you're willing to take and deal. you can't keep every promise you make and you can't right every wrong. but you have to keep trying anyway. that's sapphire's strength, and the core of her goodness and why i personally consider her one of my favourite ocs. i chose to depict bug like an angel in mitski's more positive interpretation here and in that light i think it works best for saph
buffalo replaced - heiya
Tumblr media
well first and foremost the vibes of the song fits heiya perfectly fhgjk but also lyricism and tone... yep. quick breakdown of heiya's background since i doubt i'll ever be able to do it properly she's an interesting character for me because she like a lot of my other characters has lost. everything. she had a wife and a child and they were both killed and she had to leave her home again and again and unlike how some of my others would have taken this she has never flagged in her unwavering dedication to preserving hope. for herself for her people for the future etc etc. which is a very fucking difficult thing to do! the world changes faster than you can keep up with it sometimes but for heiya she will not let herself tire and be swept away in it all. people rely on her. she's a guiding star as much as she is a woman. she's a lover and a fighter and thats what buffalo replaced means to me! so
heaven - vinny and caleb
Tumblr media
i feel like of all my oc couples so far they have like. the sweetest most kind of simply mutually trusting dare i say straight forward love. they just love each other so much and thats all. the world could end around them when theyre together and it'd be okay truly. also yeah vinny is ostensibly in heaven now bye angel i feel like this one was pretty self explanatory. me and who WHEN
i don't like my mind - sunny
Tumblr media
he just like me fr (said in denji voice) anyways wow ha. unstoppable unending guilt due to past actions that haunt your every waking moment? throwing yourself into any and all distraction just to take your mind off it, filling your time with other shit so that past sin doesnt for once echo in your awful and hollow brain? this song is perfect for sunny honestly just that sentiment also the "please don't take this job from me".... sometimes the coping is worse. you can be proud of something because you can do it better than anyone else even if that thing is terrible
the deal - wolfgang munch by @gunthermunch
Tumblr media
Wolfgang Amadeus Munch. umm this will make more sense later on but it still kind of makes sense now i think. he doesn't want to be himself he keeps . leaving and moving and running away from his own memories his own self in reaction to others. if he could pawn it all off he would. if he could be better in an instant without having to feel every agonising second of change he would! but thats not how the world works. or is it. read munch by gunthermunch thats an order
when memories snow - lilian
Tumblr media
i feel the older you get the more your past kind of swells up and trails behind you... at least for lilian that is shes very linked to the different versions of the girl/young woman she used to be. for her its a double edged blade, a lot of her own strength is drawn from who she was and what happened to her throughout her life. they haunt her but she's haunting it back in her own way
my love mine all mine - saige, bellona, ari
Tumblr media
stares you down okay so usage of this song very much almost verges into spoiler territory but uhm. uhm. starts twitching basically the whole dynamic here is . sometimes when you love you will sacrifice. and while that is usually a good thing sometimes it is not but sometimes it still is. sometimes you pay your dues for love and sometimes someone else has to pay for your love as well. and whether that is worth it to them remains to be seen. but it's all about love still. whether that's a worthy cause is up to you i suppose
the frost - yoshiki and hikaru from hikaru ga shida natsu
Tumblr media
fun fact (or not so fun fact since i had it listed as such) this slot was originally meant to be taken up by a gojo/geto edit and while it still works for them frighteningly well i swerved to do another black and white haired doomed gay pairing gfhjkl; i really recommend yall to read hikaru ga shinda natsu/the summer that hikaru died because honestly it speaks for itself! it's SO good i love it so bad
star - ari and luca by @anjitrait
Tumblr media
wow these two did not deserve the horrors the narrative (me) slammed down onto their heads. they're kind of the most married of all time to me but like of course under pressure even the strongest most loving of bonds will warp. they've been together for roughly a decade and a half now. they know and love each other as totally as you could possibly imagine. despite it all i am yours, no matter. are we picking up what i'm putting down chat
i'm your man - nayef and sióar by @lucidicer
Tumblr media
after the album dropped like at least 3 people swung into my dms with a ?this you?? about this song which. i mean the fucking dogs that start barking halfway through the song. are you kidding me. but anyways sioyef and devotion. sioyef and putting yourself in your lover's hands and looking to them like they are a god. this is super self explanatory. you know
i love me after you - redacted and ophelia
Tumblr media
HM.... all i'll say here is that sometimes the homoerotic tension filled high school friendship where both parties have something very wrong with them but in totally different directions can be. scarring. bad. sometimes love just isn't enough when you don't know what you're meant to do with it and when you've lived in survival mode all your life. but that once the dust clears you can scrape yourself off the ground get up keep going and that isn't gonna be the end for you there. or for love, even. sometimes shit just ain't meant to be and thats ok

❝LET'S GO ICE SKATING❞
❦summary; ice skating can be such a fun time, though that may depend on whether you're new to the rink or have a bit of experience under your belt. ♪the characters in this story; ignihyde, idia shroud, ortho shroud, gn!reader ✎word count; ~494 words ❀what do the ghosts say?; ambiguous idia, school trip to an ice skating rink, falling chatacters, first times on ice, mentions of climates in respective twst characters homeland, fun times ☛the author's notes; continuing my failboy loser idia agenda. also not me totally forgetting about ortho's athletic gear until i was half done ☪look at the catalogue?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
❛IDIA SHROUD❜
❀ Fail boy loser
❀ Look at him getting sunlight as he falls on his ass
❀ I will never not make fun of him
❀ We all know that Idia definitely didn’t want to be out in the cold, no less an ice rink
❀ He’s going to be complaining the whole time and refusing to get onto the ice because he knows he’s going to fall
❀ And he does
❀ Oh does Idia fall
❀ And it isn’t a swift death for him, oh no
❀ When Idia gets onto the ice (through Ortho’s urging), his legs are shaking and he’s desperately clinging onto the sides of the rink and whoever allows him to
❀ Well would you look at that!
❀ Idia got onto the ice!
❀ Maybe there’s hope for Idia to actually be able to ice skate—
❀ He slipped and fell on his back
❀ Oh dear.
❀ Okay, so Idia tried to get momentum and he fell and now he is refusing to get back onto the ice
❀ This boy has no balance, he is a shrimp. And now that he’s fallen and embarrassed himself, Idia is going to retreat back to the safety of his room
❀ Please comfort him or he’ll never leave his room again
❀ Idia will be rambling and raving about how otakus like him aren’t meant to be outside
❀ He’s going to probably sitting inside for the rest of the holiday season
❀ You should probably bring Idia some hot chocolate, that might make him feel better :)
Tumblr media
❛ORTHO SHROUD❜
❀ Don’t let him on the ice
❀ He’s a safety hazard
❀ Also I’m pretty sure that you just shouldn’t let him out into the snow
❀ And Ortho’s not happy about that. Until he remembers that he has his athletic gear
❀ And when he remembers, ohohoho
❀ Ortho is absolutely excited. And, even though he doesn’t want to go out, Idia is definitely making Ortho a custom pair of skating (because in no way is Ortho getting borrowed ice skates that don’t fit the rest of the aesthetic)
❀ When the day comes, Ortho is practically as excited as a golden retriever puppy, talking about how he was excited to go ice skating
❀ I’d like to think that Ortho tried refraining from scanning any material related to ice skating so that he could get the full experience of being on ice for the first time
❀ And when Ortho gets on the ice, he stumbles a bit, but pleasantly surprised as well.
❀ He’ll definitely have to cling onto someone for a bit (not Idia), mostly like you until Ortho can really get a hold of it
❀ Ortho looks like a gleeful child, if the bright flickering flames of his mouthpiece say anything
❀ Honestly, the whole time, Ortho is just a little bundle of joy
❀ Like, he’s doing that little thing where Ortho is like “look at me!” and then he does a small little thing
❀ I just wanna think that this is the time where Ortho gets to act like a genuine kid

Who are your fav authors on here, why and what are your fav fics from them?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anon, I don't think you're aware of the beast you've just unleashed!
So strap in cause this is going to be long.
Right off the bat, we have, @thefudge. I'm trying so hard not to sound like a deranged fangirl right now. But trust me when I say that I am OBSESSED with every single thing they write! I have read their fics SO SO many times and It's impossible to pick a single favorite one. So here are my top 5
Waiting for the barbarians

@fragileheartbeats is another amazing author I love her frigid aesthetic and how it adds a layer of etherealness to all her stories. Her scenarios are magical and written in such a way they evoke such sweet feelings. @irresistible-revolution
I'm new to their work. BUT "A Coffin Made of Glass" is so beautifully written. It's dead dove yet so utterly bewitching. It takes place in the space between famous Star Wars scenes and gives a more in-depth view of the character's actions and sentiments.
@spacexseven, omg where do I even begin? Okay, so they just have such a natural way with words. Their stories flow SO smoothly it's honestly astonishing! They've written two Childe fics, "Broken Vows" and "Mandatory Obligations" that I'm wholly obsessed with. The dialogue they write also feels so natural and forthcoming, it's absolutely enticing!!
@rrairey another author whose work I've recently gotten into!! If you're a Sukuna fan then her blog is the place to go.
Love
Sukuna vs Plushie (a literal BANGER!!)
Gojo vs Plushie
Trust
Bracelet
Seriously, go check out her work!! The way she writes dialogue between the characters and the reader is so utterly perfect. It makes you feel as if you are right there saying those exact words. The scenarios (although) fictional feel so real thanks to her wonderful writing style.
@dear-yandere needs no introduction, she's a staple in the yandere community. Her stories always blend love and creepiness to a perfect extent. Can I take a moment to just appreciate how poetic and GORGEOUS all her stories are?? Like seriously!! "Almost god" is my favorite fanfic of ALL TIME!! And don't even get me started on "Cry for Me"!!
This turned out long I don't think anyone was expecting an essay. To be honest I consume more fanfics than published books nowadays so I guess it's a given to have such a long list.

Twenty Questions (Part 4)
Summary: For Y/N’s 20th birthday Haymitch gifts her 20 questions, that he has to answer honestly, no matter what. Mentions of sex/forced pregnancy. Moves & Countermoves companion piece.
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3
Tumblr media
“How many…do you think?”
“Hmm?” Haymitch hums, eyeing his wife.
“Kids.” Y/N clears her throat, “how many kids do you think Snow will make us have?”
“I’d say one of each. A boy and a girl will keep the people entertained. If the next one is a boy, I think we’ll have to try again for a girl. Assuming we stay in his good graces, we’ll probably be done after that.” Haymitch shrugs a shoulder.
“I don’t know what else we can do.” Y/N rubs her hands together anxiously.
“There’s nothing else, Angel.” Haymitch sighs, “we just have to ride this out.”
Y/N nods, rubbing the swell of her belly. She’s five months along, over half way.
“Did you want,” Haymitch stumbles over the words. “How many do you want?”
Y/N lifts a shoulder. “I think being an only child might be lonely for him.” Him. Their baby. Because it isn’t about them anymore, it never will be again. “Two would be good.”
“Two would be good,” Haymitch agrees.
————————————————————————
Haymitch drinks more than he ever has.
Y/N’s belly grows. She’s tired all the time. She snaps at Haymitch and then chases after him with tears in her eyes, begging for forgiveness. “I’m sorry, I’m… I know I’m awful. I’m trying to do better.”
“You’re not awful,” Haymitch grumbles. “I’m trying too.”
“But you are! You are doing better and I’m…I feel like everyday I get worse. That’s the difference and I’m frustrated with myself. I’m frustrated at the situation and I don’t know what to do. You’re the only person here with me all the time, so you get the brunt of everything. And I know it’s not fair to you. I know you hate me for it.” How could you not?
“I need you to know that I do not hate you. I could never hate you. I see how hard this pregnancy and marriage has been for you. I’m sorry, from the bottom of my heart, if I could change it for you, I would. But I can’t.” Haymitch admits, “I can’t and it kills me.”
“It’s not hard being married to you,” she breaks off. “I’d never given a lot of thought to marriage. I didn’t necessarily want to be married. But doing it with you is easy, being with you is easy and I feel safe when I’m with you.”
“Tell me what’s wrong then, Angel. Tell me what I can do to help you. Anything you need. You just gotta give me some fucking direction here, because I am drowning in this.”
“I don’t know what I need. I feel restless all the time. I can’t sleep. I’m-”
“You’re afraid.” Haymitch gets it.
“Just…just tell me that everything’s gonna be ok.”
“It is gonna be ok. I promise.”
She closes the distance between them, relaxing into the feel of his arms around her. Holding her close, making everything ok.
————————————————————————
Things are better after that.
“Everything’s gonna be ok.”
He tells her every morning and again at night.
They decorate the nursery, they give him a name. Everest. Everest Abernathy.
By the time they mentor the games that year, Y/N is eight months along. They’ve agreed to stay in the Capitol, until the baby is born.
“You’ll have access to the best medicine known to man in our hospitals, Y/N. The same cannot be said for District Twelve.” President Snow makes her an offer that sounds more like a threat. In any event, she can’t refuse.
Their chances for a victor this year are slim to none. The female tribute is fifteen, but Y/N can spot every bone in her body. The boy isn’t much better, and only twelve.
Y/N weeps for them until she vomits. Only when she is alone, jotting notes in her tablet. She remains strong in their presence, focused. Knowing Haymitch won’t offer much help. He stopped trying and she doesn’t blame him.
She might give up too, if it didn’t mean leaving the poor tributes to fend for themselves.
It makes no difference though, both go down in the initial bloodbath. She mourns them alone, while Haymitch drowns his sorrows down at the bar.
And time passes, the same way it always has. Too fast or too slow.

Princess Lenora and The Starboy
A Sabine Wren & Ezra Bridger Fairytale
Tumblr media
Story Summary: A younger Sabine listens to an old fairytale told by her father, Alrich Wren.
~ the Princess ~
"Sabine, please do be careful up here. The steps are treacherous," called Alrich Wren to his daughter. The mountain path was relatively easy for the average Mandalorian, having been scouted and paved generations prior, but Alrich was not from the warrior class - and he was feeling that fact more and more with every step up the mountain.
It feels like someone poured sand into my joints, he thought grimly as he clambered over another low rock. By the Force was he thankful that Ursa was not here to witness this. She'd never let him live it down.
Sabine, all of eight years old, turned around and rolled her eyes at him. Her hair was cut short, similar to how her mother styled it, barely brushing past the nape of her neck and dyed a striking magenta color (much to her mother's disapproval). She wore a gray combat suit tailored to her scrawny frame, sans the armor plating that was custom to Mandalorian warriors. Sabine was not yet of age to receive her birthright, as was customary to all Mandalorian younglings, but it was coming soon.
"I think you should be worried more about yourself, Father," replied Sabine. "I'm doing just fine by myself."
Alrich wiped the sweat from his brow. The weather on Krownest was at its warmest for this season which, honestly, didn't mean much to anyone who lived here. It just meant that the cold was less biting than usual. "Remind me why you're here again," he said, throwing a stern look at his daughter.
Sabine shrugged. "For moral support, of course," she said with a cheerful smile.
"Uh-huh," he said dryly. "And not because you want to skip out on your studies again."
She crossed her arms - a gesture that reminded him violently of his wife. Sabine was more like her mother than either were willing to admit, which probably explained why they butted heads often. Alrich couldn't help but smile at her.
"Studies are boring," Sabine complained. "I'm going to ace it all, anyway."
Alrich sighed. It was true, of course. Sabine was a child prodigy, blessed with intelligence and aptitude towards any subject she put her mind to. The problem wasn't with her mind, her parents noted. It was with her attitude and rebellious demeanor.
In these dark times, it meant trouble.
"That's not the point of your studies, Sabine," he said. "It's a matter of discipline."
"Discipline is also boring," she countered.
This was not an argument he was going to win. Alrich shook his head and kept hiking forward until he finally caught up with his daughter. With an exasperated sigh, he fondly ruffled Sabine's hair.
"Father," she whined. "Don't mess up my hair, please."
Alrich grinned and began to put more vigor into his ruffling when he spotted something from the corner of his eye: a patch of white flowers, bursting up from the frost.
"A-ha," he said. "We've found it."
Sabine frowned and turned to follow his gaze. "Flowers? That's what we came all this way for?"
Alrich stepped forward, his footfalls crunching heavily in the snow. "Not just any flower, Sabine," he said. "Come, get a closer look."
She did and her eyes widened in recognition. "Lenora flowers," she said. "From the fairytale? These are real?"
"Of course they're real," said Alrich. "And unique to Krownest. These flowers don't grow anywhere else in the entire galaxy."
Sabine sat down to study them more closely. Her brown eyes sparkled with interest. "What makes them so special?"
Alrich sat next to her, grateful for the momentary rest. "Lenora flowers can grow in the adverse conditions of Krownest. Even during the harshest of winters, they continue to thrive. To our people, they are symbolic of unwavering loyalty and perseverance."
Sabine glanced at him. "And love?"
He nodded. "Yes. That is why they're your mother's favorite. I gift these to her every anniversary."
The look his daughter gave him turned sly. "And whenever you upset her, I gather. Because today is not your anniversary."
Alrich coughed to hide his embarrassment. "That's nonsense," he replied. "I was just feeling in the mood."
She grinned at him. "Your secret is safe with me, Father."
He patted her on the knee. "Good girl."
Alrich turned his attention back to the patch of flowers. "Do you remember the fairytale, Sabine? Princess Lenora and the Starboy?"
Sabine scrunched her face, thinking. "Vaguely. Were there star whales involved?"
Alrich smiled, pleased. It had been some time since she had last heard the fairytale. "Yes, there was. Would you like to hear the whole story again? We have time to spare before we need to head back."
His daughter gave him a knowing look. "And you want to rest your knees some more, too."
He laughed. "Ah, Sabine. Sharp as always."
She smiled at him. "Go on, then. Tell me the story."
~ a long time ago ~
As you know, Sabine, Lenora flowers are named after our distant ancestor, Princess Lenora. Legends say that she was the first leader of Clan Wren, and our family are descended directly from her line.
A long time ago, however, Princess Lenora and her people were not living on Krownest - they were fleeing a heavy conflict from another world, seeking a new home. That conflict had devastated their home world to the point that it could no longer sustain life and, fearing for the future of her clan, the Princess gathered the remaining survivors and they fled to the stars.
A few ten thousand souls were all that remained and their lives were in the young Princess' hands. She was strong, brave, and fierce - a running theme in all Clan Wren women, I've noted - but the galaxy tested her and her people to their limits.
No world would accept them. They could find no refuge anywhere. What little valuables they had taken with them were bargained away for food and water and fuel. And, with enough time passed, those began to run out.
Her people starving, homeless, and beginning to lose hope, caused the Princess to grow dispirited. One late night, after hearing the crying of her people, she called out to the stars - begging, pleading for anyone or anything to help.
And the Starboy answered.
Those born from the stars, Sabine, are special; their hearts are made from pure kyber. But they could be fickle folk, too, prone to pranks, thievery, and other mischievous acts. Dealing with them meant that one had to be careful. They were tricksters, capable of performing great feats of magick.
The Princess knew this. Making a deal with the Starboy was an act of pure desperation and could lead to disaster down the line - but her people were in need of salvation.
"I will help you, dear Princess," offered the Starboy. "I can find your people a new home. But you must offer me something in return to match the value of my talent."
"We have no valuables left to bargain with," the Princess replied. "What would you have of us?"
The Starboy thought about this for a while. He had no interest in physical possessions - but he was very lonely. There were very few of his people left; he could not recall the last time he had seen another starborne.
He realized what he desired from the Princess: companionship. Someone to stay by his side, always.
So, the Starboy made his offer. "I would ask for your friendship, in exchange for my help."
Surprised, the Princess nevertheless reached out her hand. "I accept," she said.
And henceforth, the duo journeyed together with her people amongst the stars to find a new home.
The Starboy knew that the deal struck between him and the Princess would end the moment they found a suitable planet for her people, so he sought to delay the ending as much as possible. Using his magick to keep feeding her people and fueling their ships, the Princess didn't mind - and even grew to love the Starboy, despite his antics.
The adventures they had all over the galaxy were the stuff of legend, Sabine: they saw planets made of smoke and song; met various aliens of indescribable beauty and absurdity; sailed through fields of endless ice and light. The Starboy delighted in showing the Princess and her people the endless wonders of the galaxy.
One day, they came across a pod of star whales, stuck in a vast maze of shifting star dust. With the Starboy's magick and the Princess' ingenuity, they led the lost star whales out to safety.
Grateful, they pledged to return the favor one day, should they ever ask. But, to the Starboy, they left a warning: a great Witch had arrived from the deep space beyond their galaxy and sought the Starboy for his power. Someday, they warned, the Witch would find him and destroy all he held dear in order to obtain his power.
After the star whales departed the Starboy grieved, for he knew that his time with the Princess and her people was soon nearing its end. With a heavy heart, he delayed no longer and led them to a new world - one that, in time, would be known as Krownest.
The Princess and her people were overjoyed at the sight of their new home. They thanked the Starboy for his help with celebrations of song and food. But the Starboy could not accept their gratitude, as he was too burdened with sadness at his imminent departure.
Their deal was concluded - and danger was coming. The Starboy had fallen in love with the Princess and her people. To keep them safe, he decided to leave quietly in the dead of night.
But Princess Lenora stopped him. "Do not go," she said. "Stay with us. This is your home, too."
"Our deal is finished," replied the Starboy. "I have done as requested. You have no need of me anymore. And the Witch is coming."
The Princess reached out and grasped his hand. "Then make a new deal with me. Stay with us. We will defeat this Witch together. And when we do so, you must give something to me."
"I have no personal possessions," said the Starboy, smiling. "No valuables on my person. What would you have of me?"
"Give me your heart, Starboy," replied the Princess. "And stay by my side, forevermore."
She reached out her hand. Instead, however, the Starboy gave her a hug, glad to have a companion at last.
But it was not meant to be, Sabine. For the Witch arrived the very next day and brought war with her.
Princess Lenora and her people were the finest Mandalorians the galaxy had ever seen. They fought with everything they had for three days and three nights. The surface of Krownest became battle-scarred and burned; the Witch's magick brought about an endless frost that still plagues our home to this day.
Despite the bravery of Princess Lenora and her clan, they could not win the battle. The Starboy, his heart breaking at their courage despite the overwhelming odds, concocted a final plan to trick the Witch.
On the fourth day, the Starboy offered himself up to the Witch. Eager to devour his heart and obtain the source of his power, she ripped open his chest -
Only to find it empty.
"Where is it?" she hissed at him, furious to be deprived of her prize. "Where is your heart, Starboy?"
"I have given it to another, Witch!" yelled the Starboy in response. "It will never be yours!"
The Witch howled in fury and began to reach for her magick to punish Princess Lenora and her people -
With a final effort of magick, the Starboy called to the star whales -
And they came to his side in a flash of starlight. "We have come to repay the favor," they said.
"Take this Witch back to whence she came!" said the Starboy.
"It shall be done," the star whales answered. And they surrounded the Witch, their arms reaching around her, tightening and tightening. From the ground below, the people cheered - except for Princess Lenora. She leapt into a ship and flew out to meet the Starboy, still clutched in the Witch's grasp.
"Come home with me!" she cried out. "You promised to stay with me, Starboy!"
But the Starboy looked at his beloved Princess and shook his head. "I must go and see this through, Princess. I have to make sure the Witch never comes back to hurt your people."
The star whales began to glow with a fearsome light, signaling their departure into the deep reaches beyond our galaxy. The Witch howled and struggled but could not escape their grip.
The Princess cried out one last time: "You must promise to come back. I will wait for you; do you hear me?"
The Starboy smiled at her, possibly for the last time. "I accept this deal, Princess. A part of me will always be with you, until I return."
With a final burst of dazzling light, the star whales vanished into space, leaving behind a trail of stardust. And with them, the Starboy and the Witch.
In the years to come, the Princess waited patiently for her beloved Starboy to return. His heart, given to her as per their deal, was buried on a distant mountain top to keep safe. Every night, she travelled to the spot where his heart lay and sat down, looking up at the night sky.
She watched the stars wheel endlessly above. Every now and then, one of them twinkled at her; the Princess wondered sadly if that was the Starboy, letting her know that he was still out there.
When many years had passed, and she began to lose hope, the Princess wandered up to where the Starboy's heart was buried and found a patch of beautiful flowers growing there. Upon seeing them, she made a vow: that as long as the flowers bloomed on Krownest, the love she shared with the Starboy would never die - and that one day, they would be reunited, forevermore.
~ the Princess, revisited ~
Alrich watched his daughter carefully, gauging her reaction to the story's end.
Sabine stared at the flowers, seemingly lost in thought. He chanced a glance at his chrono - the hour was growing late. They needed to head back soon.
Finally, after a few long moments, Sabine spoke. "Lenora was stupid," she remarked.
He blinked at her, shocked at her response. "What?" he asked.
Sabine stood up and wiped angrily at her legs, clearing off loose snow and dirt. "You heard me. She was stupid."
Alrich quirked an eyebrow at her. "How so?"
"She waited. Like an idiot. I wouldn't have waited."
"Ah," said Alrich, understanding dawning on him. "I see. You would have gone to find the Starboy."
Sabine reached down to the patch and plucked one of the Lenora flowers. She handed it over to Alrich, who accepted it with a nod of thanks. "Obviously. She loved him! Why wait?"
He stroked at his beard and gently placed the flower into a pouch on his belt; later, he would press it into a bookmark for Ursa. "Hmmm. You raise a fair point, Sabine."
His daughter shook her head. "I can't believe that's how the story ends."
Alrich smiled at his daughter. "That's the wonderful thing about stories, you know? When you tell it, you can decide how the story ends."
Sabine looked at him, blinking in astonishment. "Really?"
"Certainly. That's how the story was told to me. But you can change the ending, if you want." He stood up, swiping at his legs to clean them. Once finished, he beckoned to her and started walking down the mountain path leading back to home.
Sabine was quiet for the next few minutes, thinking it over. "I think I know how I want the story to end," she said as they walked.
Alrich glanced at her, curious. "Tell me, then. Tell me how your story ends."
Smiling slightly, Sabine began to speak. "One day, a wise and powerful wizard brings a map to the Princess . . ."
Epilogue (many years later)
~ the Starboy, found ~
The Noti convoy moved slowly under the bleak Peridea sky. It was a scene that Ezra Bridger had become accustomed to over the past few years but there was a significant difference to this time.
Sabine Wren, his longtime friend, had come to find him at last. After double-checking the instrument panel on the Noti hover-dome to ensure everything was working properly, he snuck another glance at Sabine just to ensure that she was actually there.
Ezra had lost count the number of times he had dreamed this exact scenario: Sabine Wren, coming to save him, like some avenging Mandalorian angel.
But it wasn't a dream this time. She was real. Her head was leaned back, eyes closed, arms crossed, boots propped up on the dome's surface - it was almost like back in the old days, lounging on the Ghost during the Rebellion.
He felt a soft smile grow on his face at the sight of her. How much he had missed her company.
Sensing his stare, Sabine popped open an eye and smiled back at him. "Thinking happy thoughts?" she asked.
"Hard not to," he replied. "They're all about you."
Her smile widened. "Ah, flattery. You're a flirt now, Ezra Bridger?"
Ezra's cheeks flushed. "Oh, well - no. Not very many people to flirt - well, talk, really with here on Peridea."
Sabine chuckled. "The Noti seem nice."
"They are," agreed Ezra. "But not exactly the most interesting species to hold a conversation with."
"Well," remarked Sabine, "it's nice to know that I'm good for something. Other than rescuing helpless Jedi."
Ezra snorted. "Oh, I've missed you."
Sabine grinned at him. "Back at you, goober."
Rolling his eyes, Ezra reached down and rummaged through his pack. After a brief moment of searching, he found what he was looking for: an old storybook.
With a grin, he plopped it on Sabine's lap. "Found this, by the way."
She let out a breath of surprise. "'Princess Lenora and the Starboy?'" she asked. "Where in the stars did you find this?"
"Thrawn had it. Long story, but I stole it from his office. Part of his weird museum of collectibles."
Sabine snorted and flipped through the pages. "It's still your favorite, right?" asked Ezra.
"Yeah," she replied softly. "Never dreamed that I'd actually meet real life star whales. Or travel to another galaxy, even."
"We've had pretty crazy lives, now that I think about it," Ezra observed.
"Yeah, no kidding," said Sabine. A pang of melancholy went through her as she read through the story; her father reading this to her, late at night, flashed vividly in her memories.
"Didn’t like the ending," said Ezra. "We never did find out if the Princess and the Starboy ever reunited."
Sabine closed the book. "They did reunite," she said. "That's how I told the story."
Ezra looked at her. "Is that so?"
She nodded. "My father told me that if you don't like the story's ending, then just change it. So that's what I did."
Ezra shook his head and smiled at her. "That's so very . . . you, Sabine."
Sabine shrugged. "Who else am I supposed to be?"
He laughed. "True. I wouldn't have it any other way."
She grinned and leaned back in her seat. "You're not getting it any other way, Ezra. I'm afraid you're stuck with me."
"Oh, good," he replied dryly. After a brief pause, he added quietly, "Thanks for finding me, Princess."
For a moment, he thought Sabine hadn't heard him. Then, just as quietly, Ezra heard her answer.
"Anything for you, Starboy."

ice skating headcanons
includes: kaeya, childe, diluc, cyno, ayato, xiao.
warnings: gender neutral reader, fluff.
notes: happy holidays! i always love going ice skating around the holidays and wintertime.
kaeya.
he’s surprisingly terrible.
yeah no, kaeya can’t skate very well. you were surprised when he immediately slipped and fell the second he got on the ice. you weren’t the best at ice skating either, but you could at least make your way to where he sat, in the middle of the ice rink, unable to get back up.
“don’t judge me! i’ve never been ice skating before.”
“you literally have a cryo vision?”
his face, already rosey from the cold, reddens even more. “yeah, well… that doesn’t mean i can figure skate.”
you can only manage a nod, not really sure if you should be concerned, amused, or all of the above. you reach out a hand to help him up. kaeya grabs it and pulls.
“really?” you ask, now also spawled out on the ice. kaeya laughs like it’s the funniest thing in the world, and it kind of is, until you remind him: you don’t know how to get up without someone else, either.
and then you both sit there—debating whether you should crawl to the walls, ask a stranger for help, or just wait until the zamboni comes around to push you off.
childe.
when you suggested you and childe go ice skating together, you fully expected to be the better of you both. you weren’t the best, but certainly better than average.
but no, about an hour later, childe was still skating circles—or rather, figure eights—around you. you could stay on your feet and stop when you needed to; childe could jump several feet in the air and spin for minutes on end.
honestly, you guess you should have expected it. childe he did grow up in a land covered in snow and ice. he was a natural.
“can you please wait for me?” you call after childe.
he turns, now skating backwards, and flashes you an arrogant smile. you feel he likes showing off, even as he slows down and waits for you to catch up.
“i’m sorry,” he says, gently taking your hand.
“no you’re not.”
“no,” he confirms. “i’m not.”
he flashes you a brillant smile, and then he’s off—with you being dragged pulled behind him. is that better or worse than before? you can’t tell.
diluc.
“diluc…”
“no.”
“but…”
“anything but that, [name].”
you pout and cross your arms over your chest. “but diluc, it’ll be a fun date…”
diluc thinks you look adorable right now, but even as you give him those puppy-dog eyes, his answer remains firm: he will not be going on an ice skating date with you.
“we can go on other nice dates,” he insists, turning away from you.
“but why?” you ask. “can you at least answer that?”
“i just… don’t want to go?”
“diluc.”
he sighs, and relents. “because the last time i tried figure skating, i melted the rink and got kicked out.”
diluc looks up at you when you don’t respond, a faint blush already on his cheeks. it only deepens when he sees you’re trying not to laugh—you feel bad, but you can’t help it, either.”
now he’s the one pouting. you collect yourself, and tell him, “okay… now we have to go.”
yeah, diluc definitely shouldn’t have given you that particular gem of information.
cyno.
cyno has been putting off your ice skating date for weeks. he’s been telling you “next week” for the past three weeks now, and you put your foot down.
that’s how you finally ended up at the ice arena. there’s you, impatient and excited to get on the ice again, and cyno, looking… not completely uncomfortable in ice skates?
“you look ready,” you observe, opening the door once the zamboni exits the ice.
“hope so,” cyno mutters under his breath.
and… he is. he is? you can’t quite comprehend how good cyno is at figure skating—he’s not the best, but that he’s able to stand on his own two feet and hasn’t fallen yet… you’re impressed.
cyno knows it too, but instead of being smug, he seems almost bashful when he comes up to you.
“how… how are you…?”
cyno will later insist his blush was because of the cold, and not because of his confession: “i’ve been practicing.”
“for how long?”
“a few weeks.”
cyno watches you do the math. “so when you’ve been putting this off—“
“yes,” cyno says. “i know you wanted to go and… i didn’t want to be falling over myself.”
now it’s your turn to blush. he didn’t have to do all that, but you’re secretly happy he did.
ayato.
the date was ayato’s idea, and although you’ve never been ice skating before, you go with him.
but not only thirty seconds after getting on the ice, you already want to get off. you’re awful, absolutely awful, at this.
“how are you doing that?” you ask as ayato skates towards you. you’re clinging to the wall while ayato’s able to gracefully stop infront of you, no support needed.
“i learned when i was young,” ayato tells you. he pauses and observes you, wobbly and about to slip with every movement you make. ayato cautiously asks, “maybe should we get off?”
“no!” you almost shout. ayato blinks, and you repeat more softly, “sorry. i mean, no, i want to stay on.”
“are you sure?” ayato asks.
no. “yes.”
yeah, you’d regret that response thirty minutes later, having fallen and slipped and tripped several times over. ayato, for his credit, doesn’t laugh (although he looks like he really wants to at times). he only smiles and reaches out his hand.
and yet the next time he asks if you want to get off, your answer is immediate: yes.
xiao.
“i do not want to go figure skating.”
“xiao!” you exclaim. you’ve been pestering him to go for the past week or so, and his answer so far hasn’t budged.
“why do you even want to go?” xiao asks.
“because! it’s fun and romantic.” you protest. you continue, “i can show you how, it’s really easy once you get used to it—“
“i—“
“—and i promise i won’t laugh if you fall. okay, maybe i might, but i promise i’ll try not to, so please can we go?”
xiao makes the mistake of looking into your wide, hopeful eyes. he wants to be stubborn and suggest another date idea… but he really can’t, not when you’re looking at him like that.
but you really don’t know why he didn’t want to go. xiao isn’t a terrible figure skater—he might even be better than you, though you’re only decent at best.
“so, why didn’t you want to come?” you ask once you take a break off the ice.
xiao shrugs. “i just didn’t really like it.”
“oh.” you kind of feel bad now, insisting on going, before xiao turns to you and says quietly, “but i do like that you like it and… i’d go with you again.”
“really?” you ask.
“really.”

December 7. Snowball fight (11th Doctor x reader)
25 Days of Ficmas - Day 7
Snowball Fight (11th Doctor x reader)
Word count -   1609
Warnings - None just tons of fluff
Pairing(s) - 11th doctor x Gn! Reader
Summary - A trip home leads to a impromptu snowball fight
Tumblr media
It was time to go home, not permanently. Like you would never give up traveling around in the TARDIS with the Doctor. There was no way, not even if River Song asked for your hand in marriage (which would probably be the hardest thing ever to turn down). But you needed just a quick trip home to see your family and stock up on a few human things. You know, the usual.
However, you really wanted to make sure you visited during this time of year because of the snow (also because of your family). When the holiday season rolled around back home it always brought the most beautiful white Christmas’ you’ve ever seen in your entire life. Sometimes you wondered if your time-traveling friend pulled a few strings in your childhood and made it snow for you every Christmas. He’d probably also tell you he was Santa while he was at it.
But, once you told the Doctor that you wanted to go home, you could have sworn you accidentally told him you were dying and there was no cure. He hung his head in defeat as you watched him sulk around the TARDIS console pulling nobs and switching dials. It was almost like he was putting on a grand dramatic show for you about how sad he was that you were going to leave, which by the way wasn’t true.
You made a mental note to give him a nice smack up the back of his head later.
“I guess there’s nothing I can really say, huh?” he sighed making you roll your eyes avoiding his sad puppy dog eyes. Gods, was he really milking this? “Well Y/N we had the very best of times I just wish it was longer. It feels like just yesterday you saved me from that cybermen attack-”
“Doctor I-” you felt like you had to interject. There was no way you were going to let him ramble on like this for ages, not when you had the winter snow to look forward to.
“Not now Y/N I’m making a speech.” he placed a finger to your lips as his eyes frantically looked anywhere but at you. It was like he was trying to find the right words, which was so very unlike your Doctor. Usually, you weren’t able to shut him up.
“Doctor I’m just going home for a quick visit.” you finally interrupted him grabbing his face in both of your hands so he was forced to look at you.
As the realization slowly hit him his mouth dropped open a little bit as his finger dropped from your lips. “And you’re coming back afterward right?” he asked raising both eyebrows anticipating a response…hopefully a good one.
“Yes! It was like I was trying to tell you before-” you started before he cut you off again a giant smile growing on his face.
“Right, perfect, yes!” he adjusted his bow tie “Of course, I knew that I’m kind of offended you thought I didn’t, but don’t worry I’ll let it slide just this once.” he poked you right on the nose causing your face to scrunch up. Then he was off fiddling with the TARDIS like a child on Christmas morning.
All the while, you continued to stare at him in utter amazement. So, this was the man your heart decided to chase after. As odd as the whole situation felt, it also felt so incredibly right. You never felt like you really belonged down on earth, even if that did sound a bit silly it was absolutely true. People down there would always overlook you no matter how hard you tried, it was honestly getting very discouraging.
Then the cybermen came, and you were terrified that this was how your life was going to end. You wondered if your first real exciting moment would also be your last. However, out of the corner of your eye, you saw a strange man in a bow tie trying his best to fight off the men in metal. For a half second, you were mystified and maybe even a little impressed.
You don’t know what really took over you because before you could even realize what was going on you were right by his side helping him the best you could. “I’m the Doctor by the way, lovely to meet you.” he gave you a quick smile before turning back to the task at hand.
To this day you still thought the Doctor was a weird name, but you got used to it very quickly. He was your cosmic mystery, one you’d happily keep trying to solve till the very end.
“And we’re here!” he said cheerfully clapping his hands like the people who clap once an airplane lands. Lord this man will be the death of you for sure. “Home sweet home!” he beamed wrapping an arm around you and hugging you tightly.
You couldn’t help yourself, you grabbed your coat and ran out of the TARDIS while still tugging it on. A soft blissful laugh left your lips as you observed your surroundings. It was a beautiful winter wonderland for as long as the eye could see. At that moment you let yourself be truly grounded. Closing your eyes you took in the smell of the beautiful pine trees and felt to refreshing cold air as the wind blew passed you.
The Doctor trailed behind you, watching you in absolute adoration. Propping himself against the door of the TARDIS a soft smile tugged at the corner of his lips. He watched you spin and twirl and even try to catch a few snowflakes on your tongue. He was in deep trouble, he felt it in his hearts. For he was madly in love with you, his free-spirited companion.
However, the Doctor being who he is couldn’t sit still for long, so naturally, he got an idea. Sneakily, he bent down and packed a small snowball into his hands. He tried his best to ignore how cold the snow was. When it was the perfect snowball he threw it right at your shoulder causing you to yelp in surprise.
The force of the snowball snapped you out of your own little world making you jump. Your eyes grew wide as you turned on your heel. Shooting an icy cold glare right in the Doctor’s direction. “Oi was that you?” you called out waving a finger at him.
“Who me? Why I’d never!” he dramatically gasped chucking one right at your chest “oopsie daisies” he giggled, yes that’s right literally giggled, as he ran around the TARDIS.
“Oh, it’s so on!” You yelled collecting as much ammo as you could. You weren’t typically a competitive person, except when it came to silly little things like snowball fights. Then all cards were on the table, and you’d be damned if you didn’t defeat the Doctor in this snowy battle.
All hell broke loose as you two threw countless snowballs at each other. Grins plastered all over your faces as the battle grew mighty intense. Quickly, you put together a big one planning on sneaking up behind the Doctor. You spotted him, refreshing his stockpile in front of the TARDIS, and realized it was the perfect time to attack.
Slowly, you crept up behind him trying your very best not to laugh. Which, would give away your entire plan. Then, you struck viciously crashing the entire massive snowball all over his head causing him to yell out. “OI, YOU'RE IN TROUBLE NOW!”
Your eyes widened as you realized what you’d done, and you booked it. A symphony of giggles and cheers could be heard between the two of you as you chased each other round and round. This was exactly why you fell in love with the Doctor because even if he was a big scary time lord he was still himself.
Suddenly, you felt a pair of arms wrap around your waist and you crashed to the ground falling on top of the Doctor. Your eyes blinked into his hazel ones as you both tried to catch your breath. You forgot just how utterly beautiful he was up close. All the little details that came together to make the Doctor, your Doctor. It was enough to make your heart swell with that wonderful kind of feeling.
“Y/N did we just fall for each other?” he asked softly taking his chances, even though he was only ever good at being awkward. A relieved smile rose to his lips as he heard your giggle once more.
“You know what Doctor I think we did, funny how things work like that,” you said brushing a few wet pieces of hair away from his eyes. If you could save this moment in time forever you could, but even the Doctor knew you couldn’t do that. Time was precious and you were so lucky you had this time together now.
There was a moment when the both of you leaned in and you thought for a couple of seconds that he may even kiss you. But, something rang off in the Doctor’s head and he decided against it for now. So, instead, he helped you off the ground and started dusting all the snow off of you he could. Another gentle moment passed when he reached up and dusted off your hair.
“Right, off to see your family, come along Y/N.” he said giving that good old bow tie one last fix. Confidently he grabbed your hand and pulled you away taking your heart right along with him.

❄Aw this was so fun and sweet to make!❄ ❄Thx for the ask, Anon^^❄ ♡~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~♡ ❄Warnings: Unprotected sex, Cock warming, Dom!//but sweet^^//Pro Hero! Deku, squirting, cream pie (s), idek LMAO
♡~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~♡ ❄Winter Love~ ♡~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~♡ Izuku opens the front door entering his shared apartment with you. He had brought in a few bags of groceries and some snacks you requested. He wore two jackets because he hated being cold and it was a pure blizzard in Japan tonight . "I'm home!" He yelled in his usual cheerful tone but it was clear he was freezing cold. You jumped up from the bed and ran to him like a child "Izuku!" you hugged him tightly not caring about the snow on him "How did you get home?! The storm is so bad, are you ok?!" You worried for him when he came back as always. It could be summer and you'd ask him if he got a heat rash or something. You knew being with the number one would make you this way and you hopped he didn't mind it. He took off his jacket layers so he could wrap his strong arms around your body properly. "Oh I uhh.. I took the bus.. but I stopped at the store to get a few things and walked the rest of the way.." he held the back of your head placing a tender kiss on your cheek with a whisper "I missed you!" You smile and after his soft lips met your cheek you melt.. There isn't anything in the world better than his kisses and hugs and cuddles and- HIM "I missed you too..." the wind hits the windows again making that sound you hate and you hide your face on his chest "w-when will the storm stop..?" he just walked in and you barely even let him leave his things at the door. You're spoiled and he loves all of it. He kisses your forehead and after putting away the groceries he picks you up walking to your shared room. He's a very cuddly person. He loves the feeling of your embrace. He sets you down onto the bed "I haven't seen you all day and I wanna cuddle.." he pouts climbing into the bed with you. You opened your arms making grabby hands after pausing the TV and turning it off "Gimmie my number one big baby" He smiled softly as he cuddled into your soft chest warming up to your embrace "mmmn.." he hummed softly. You smile and wrap your arm around his neck and put a hand on the back of his head "my 'zuku..." you coo out softly. As you were about to wrap your lefts around him you notice something... You're wet... your eyes widen a bit as you close your legs trying to think of why you're so turned on my cuddling and it makes you feel like a pervert... But then you look down at Izuku's body... All close to you... His welcoming sent and soft skin touching yours.. You're in heaven... You just pull the comforter over you both so he wouldn't notice what was going on. He looked up at you clueless as to what was on your mind. Little did you know he was thinking the same. His hand made it's way down your waist "I'm cold too.." he whispered as he kissed you softly before pulling back to speak "Mind Warming me up..?~" he raised a brow referring to intimacy. You two obviously know each other like the back of your hands.. especially what you're both into in bed. Izuku is surprisingly a freak in the sheets but.. he wanted to take it easy for tonight. You don't know nor understand how this man can read your mind but he always does some how. You blush softly and move your hand that was resting on his soft grass like hair "Of course not..~" you remove your panties and go to pull his boxers down just enough so that his beautiful cock is let free "It'll cost you though..~" you teasingly say and are honestly messing with him. He looked over at you with a pout "I bought you snacks thoughh!" He playfully whined resting a hand on your thigh. You sigh and roll your eyes. You can never resist his pout face "ugggh... Why do you have to be so cute?- yeah you did.. Alright you win.." you smile at the little play time you two just had but get back to work. Shifting so you're ready to go. After kissing his soft freckled cheek you grab his length aiming it to your wet entrance and slowly start to go down on him with huffs and soft moans "h-hnnah..~ mmmm...~"
He lifted his chest with a soft moan as he pulls you down, his body shivers "s-so warm..~~" he huffed "s-stay just like this.. don't move yet.." he seemed to really enjoy just feeling your walls engulfing him. You get surprised off this but after your hips meet you stay there panting softly from how big he is. Your walls fluttering round him and you always wonder how your little cunt takes him on fully. Of course he had to train and molt your pussy to be his but even still it surprises you "m-mmmmh...~ aaaaaahhh...~ mm...~ 'L-Love you..~" you kiss his lips softly. He presses his lips against yours making his way down to your neck "Mmmn.. Love you s-so much..~~" "love y-ou more...~" You enjoy this moment of embrace because who knows what tomorrow holds.. What if he has to go on another month to 5 month mission? He came back to you today but what if...- Just what if.... with out knowing as you go into deep thought of the negative you hold onto him a bit tighter as your eyes start to fill with tears you lowly sniff and start to hiccup because of it... You try to keep these sounds down but it was already heard by him. He softly rubs your back "(Y/n)..? Baby..?" He took notice to your sudden distress and held you closer wrapping his strong thighs around you keeping you in place as he ran his fingers through your hair "Shhh.. you're okay.. You're alright.." he comforted you with his soft words, You wipe your tears and melt into him again. "'m...s..sOrry.." you look at him and hold his cheek "you're s-so... you just..." you exhale "such an angel... I.... don't ever w-want'lose you.."
His eyes widen before he looks at you sympathetically "Love.. that won't ever happen.. I'll never, ever leave your side.." he cups your cheek "I will stay.. and I will fight with you until we retire.. and even then I'll still be here.. always.. even far apart we are still together.. in here.." the hand on your cheek moved to where your heart is. That touched your heart so much that you have to bite your lip in effort to not sob on him "oh, Izuku..." you start to smile softly "sometimes I... feel like I'm just dreaming..." You put your hands on his chest "there's no way you're real... you're too good for this world and for me...." you let out a slight laugh still trying to stop your previous emotions you both nuzzle noses lightly for a second. He let's out a soft chuckle "likewise.. sometimes I think you're too good for me.. but.." he grinds slightly up against you with a soft moan "I'm the luckiest man on earth to have you.. I'm so lucky that you're mine..~" his voice became slightly higher and more erotic. "hah..~" You get reactivated lust being your only feeling as all your worries start going away remembering your man is inside you. You start to whine wanting him to move more "hmmnn...~ Izzy...~" you say in a pleading tone. He leans into your ear with a soft and desperate whine. He spoke "Ride me, Baby..~" he held your hips with his scarred but gentle hands. You feel a shiver go down your spine as you let out a tiny moan from his demand. You move an inch and it made him brush on your gspot "n-nAh..~" you put your dainty hands on is chest and sit up. You slowly move up off him and watch as his huge member leaves you letting out lewd sounds as it turns you on having a bit of self pride that you could take him on despite your body size difference "mmmhh...~ ' f-feel so..~ big I-Izu...~ so..~ hahnnmm..~ big f-for me...~" you manage to mumble out softly. He smiled looking up at you with a lovesick gaze "J-Just for you..!!~ Only you..~ Nnnhh..!!~~" he moans bucking his hips upward. You hated to do this because he might whine from it and you can't stand that cute face of his... But you wanna see him go crazy. You keep the same.. s l o w... l o n g... pace as you let out moans and get embarrassed from the sulking wet sounds that filled the room "h-mmm...~ aaaaaah....~" you start giving him high praises to push even further "m-m--ah..!~ my Izuku..~ m-my strong...nnnh..~ number one hero...~ my Deku..~" you say to him in the most cutest yet lewd voice you could pull from your voice box. He looks up at you biting his lip intensely. He moans out "Y-You know what that does to me.. that voice of yours..!~~ I-Im warning you..!~" he whined. You act dumb and look at him innocently "Wh-What do you mean..?~" you close your eyes moaning in the same tone. His breathing becomes more uneven as his cock twitches "That tone you're using..!~" he bites his lip harder. You were on thin ice and you knew it so you keep going because its not like he can grab you like a feather and do his way with you, right? "mhg-mmm..!~ ' j-just my normal vo-ice...~ a-AHa..!~" you whine "c-can't get enough o-of...!~ y-you..!~ s-o powerful..!~ A-H..!~" you're acting, yes but you'd be saying the some things in your normal voice too. "Babyy..!!~" he warned again, a lustful gaze clearly in his eyes for you. He licked his lips hungrily. All you do is made a loud enough moan to over due his voice "hn-!~ AaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAaaahaaaaah...!!!!~ y-you fit me s-o p-perfectly..!~" "That's... it.." he growls flipping positions pinning you beneath him with a feral look in his eyes "you know exactly what you're doing.." he huffed in a low, lustful tone "you asked for this..~" he immediately starts pounding you deep and rough letting out his most Erotic lewd sounds ever. He's completely lost himself in you.
Your eyes widen and before you could open your mouth to speak you scream "I d-AAAH..!!~ O-OH G- IZ-AAAAGH..!!!!~" you grab one of his arms and use your other hand to cover your mouth shut knowing the neighbors will hear you "MMMMH..!!!~ MMNGH...!!!~" even still your muffled moans are bouncing off the walls as tears start to fill the corner of your eyes and drool sneaks past your hand. He huffs "l-let me hear you..!~" he whines and lifts your hips up a bit and starts to drill you hitting your gspot perfectly but carefully. You calmed down for the few seconds it took him to reposition you removing your hand slowly "h-hm--nAHAH..!!!~" then you get shot back up to heaven as you grip the sheets in effort to not give him a scratched up back "Z-HnGHA..!!~" forming words becomes a thing of the past.
He keeps an arm holding you up as he uses his hand to rub your clitoris " 's o-hn..!~ o-okay, sweetheart..!~ d-don't worry about th-e neighbors..~ f-focus on me..!~ sing f'me (Y/N)..!~" he pants and the coldness of the storm outside melted away from the both of you the heat from the activeness from you both in the air. You mewl and whine, your head rolling back as you do focus on him. You can't help but focus on him. HARD thrush of his hips RIGHT on to your gspot and keeps his eyes on you. You gasp and the next thing you know before you can even make a sound you're gushing. Squirting and cumming on him like a broken dam. Then when it hits you you whine and scream louder than you have all night "IZUKU-AAAAAAAAGH...!!!!!!~ NAAAAAAAGH...!!!!~ A-NGEEL..!!!!!~" you looked at him in the beginning of it but mid way you throw your head back closing your eyes as tears fall you forget to b r e a t h. He goes over the edge with all your wetness "NN-AAAH..!!~" he wraps him self around you and tenses up. after he comes down from his high he starts giving you soft kisses on your lips "mmmn..' love you... so much..." he whispers between kisses and soft pants his wet from sweat green curls touching your forehead. You shiver but not from the cold as you come down from heaven to meet your Angel as a panting blushy mess "z-zu..." you whine "y'm-ade me squirt.." after shifting so you're on top of him again he softly chuckles and caresses your cheek "it's okay, baby... I love your little messes..." You get flustered and pout "Stoooop..." you hide your face on his chest as you begin to get tired. He gives a soft smile and goes starts to get shy about something "u-uhm...mm... (Y/N)..? Wh--at if we- talked about having...- kids?..-" he stutters out a bit. Your eyes widen with a tiny gasp as he asks you the thing you've been wanting to ask him for so long. You knew more nights like this one were to come on his off days~

GI'S DISNEY PRINCESS CHALLENGE
A twelve generation legacy challenge based on the current thirteen Disney Princesses. Each generation will have a different set of goals and requirements before the new heir takes over.  Disclosure: I know there are other Disney Princess Challenges out there, but I wanted to create my own which I feel fit the films more and flowed nicely between each princess and generation. I've tried my best to add as many game features as I can to match their stories, but a lot of it may be down to your own storytelling. Some details have been left out because I don't want the challenge to be too strict, or all our games would be the exact same! Feel free to adjust any rules as you see fit for your stories, it's supposed to be fun. Tell your own stories and add your own elements, but my rules should hopefully help guide you.
As you may know with a lot of the older princess films, the mothers often die when the princess is quite young. I know a lot of people hate the idea of their sims dying, so if you would like to forgo this rule, that is fine! I would instead recommend moving the mother out of the household and having no contact with them again.
Every generation has a prologue and then a set of rules. The prologues are there to establish the generations, and typically require more storytelling and gameplay with family members. You can use the prologues in any way you would like to set up your princesses' stories. The requirements are for when the main part of their stories would begin.
Rules:
Aging must be turned on, but you can have it at any length you wish.
Each goal must be met before the new heir takes over, unless specified in the rules.
Despite being 'princesses', the heirs don't have to be female. You can have any gender follow the requirements. Same goes for sexuality and romantic partners. You don't have to strictly follow the films in this sense unless you want to.
The Princesses can look as much or as little like their film-selves as you would like. Same for their names.
Mods and custom content can be used to help the story and gameplay.
The generations will offer three traits, you do not need the heir to have all three traits, but they MUST have at least TWO of them.
If you do not have all of the packs required to complete the requirements for each generation, either find a similar alternative or skip that rule.
If you do this challenge, please credit me (@ginovasims).
(OPTIONAL) Use the hashtag #GiPrincessChallenge on tweets, posts, and videos.
Thank yous:
Once again there are some lovely simmers I would like to thank for helping me with this challenge!
@SimBexBlue - you inspired me to start writing my own version of the challenge after I started watching your LP on YouTube! You have been there in DMs from the start and giving me feedback and ideas, and you’ve always been so enthusiastic and keen.
@Jackiester626 - your notes and feedback for each generation were so detailed and helpful and honestly really inspiring! You put in a lot of effort to help me out and it’s very appreciated.
@nicolesulsul - you sent me some excellent additions for the challenge which helped pad out the generations and make them more like the films. Your interest in the challenge has always been so encouraging! WATCH HERE: https://youtu.be/-jSmoQYqHZk I posted a video talking about this new challenge and created all thirteen princesses based on their original animation film-selves! Memories - Kento Nanami
notes - I said I wanted to write a nanami fic, and here I am!!! I hope my nanami simps enjoy because if I'm being honest, this is one of my favorite pieces ever. I wrote this listening to Minecraft music lol <3 word count - 880 summary - you're tired. it's cold. but you can't seem to sleep. you decide to go out for a late night walk with a little too much on your mind.
~~BUY ME A KO-FI (COMMISIONS ARE OPEN)~~
Tumblr media
Night time in Tokyo was pretty, but you needed to get away for a while. Away from the city. Not too far, but not too close either.
Despite the snow outside, you slipped on a jacket and went outside. You definitely weren't wearing the right shoes, but what did it matter. You honestly didn't mind the cold and it wasn't snowing too heavily to your surprise, just light dusting over the sidewalk.
You looked up and hummed lightly at the snow falling towards you that looked somehow brighter even though it was the dead of night. It helped that there were dim orange streetlamps everywhere.
You sighed and began a short walk to free your mind a bit.
So much had happened to you in such a short amount of time and you rarely got time to think it over.
But nights like these weren't always nice. They usually came from a lack of sleep and deep thoughts.
Your room was too cold, your fan was too loud, and your brain wouldn't calm down.
You watched every step you made carefully - making sure not to find any patches of ice that could cause you to slip and fall - and you played soft music in your headphones to accompany you.
You had lost more friends than you would've liked. It all happened so fast. You knew it came with the job, but in high school, when you were poor and hungry, what else could you do? Especially with that curse that accompanied you for your entire life. It wasn't anything bad, and it always was on its best behavior, it was just annoying that you had to grow up feeling so distant.
You had no choice but to become a sorcerer and that was okay. But it was also hard. And tiring. And it hurt.
You found a bench just outside of the city. You didn't mind that it was dusted with snow, you just took a seat, watching the lights glimmer from all of the buildings.
Where did you go wrong?
You balled your hair into your fingers and took a breath. Not often did you get to just breathe.
When was the last time you saw Gojo? Or Geto? Or anyone else for that matter?
You were so taken from the world that you weren't sure if a world existed anymore.
You felt yourself tearing up, but tried blinking it back and just watched the snow from above you.
Across from the bench you were on was a park. It was definitely old, but still used daily, you could tell.
You laughed at yourself when you had a thought: go sit on the swingset.
The laughter didn't stop you, so you did.
You used to go there when you were really young. Like really young. You don't even remember being that small. Or being a child.
You swung back and forth, just listening to the creaking of the metal on metal, but quickly stopped when you heard footsteps.
On the sidewalk you were just walking a moment ago, there was a familiar figure with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. He almost smiled when he saw you, blowing smoke out from his nose.
"Nanami?" you whispered.
He walked to the swingset and leaned on the metal bar of it just feet away from you.
"Aren't you cold?" he asked.
"Not really." You looked away from him and back up at the night sky, watching every piece of snow fall from the clouds above.
"Been a while."
You just nodded and began swinging again.
"You look tired." he said.
"So do you."
He just hummed in response and put his cigarette out on the metal of the bar before walking to a nearby trashcan to toss it.
He then walked to the swing next to you. "This seat taken?" he asked.
"Go for it." you said.
He sat down on the swing after wiping the snow off with his sleeve.
For a while, it was just silence; the sound of you swinging and the slight breeze that would occasionally blow.
"Did you know I would be here?" you finally asked, slowing down a bit.
"No, honestly. I was just going on a walk."
"In deep thought?"
He chuckled. "Something like that."
You smiled and looked down at your feet. "I miss you."
"Me too."
"Then why did you leave?"
"You left too." He turned to look at you with sweetness in your eyes.
"I know. And I'm sorry."
"I'm sorry too." Nanami reached out his hand to you and you took it, standing up.
He brought your knuckles to his lips and he pulled you closer.
"Might be a while before something like this." He stood up from his swing and wrapped his arms around you. He smelled good. Really good. Like cologne and fresh laundry.
You smiled and wrapped your arms around him. He was also warm, making you - an ice cube at this point - nearly melt.
He pulled away from the hug and leaned down to you. "I know it's been a while," he whispered. "But I would like a kiss."
You pressed your lips to his and he hugged around your waist tightly.
The walk home was lonely, but the memories were nice to dwell on.

15 Lines of Dialogue
Rules: Share 15 or fewer lines of dialogue from an OC, ideally lines that capture the character/personality/vibe of the OC. Bonus points for just using the dialogue without other details about the scene, but you're free to include those as well!
Tagged by @shivunin, thank you so much Mo! It's been so fun. Also a nightmare because I chose Aisling and my goodness someone make her shut up please. Referenced from Monster Fic (which is still getting views?? :"D Welp.), This one Radha fic , this prompt . Five minutes of silence for the one poop line that didn't make it to the final cut of this meme. Always remembered.
🦄✨ Aisling Lavellan ✨🦄
"We look like a swan and the ugly chick of a cuckoo.”
“I do. He’s just been mistreated. The Idiot started training him as a war horse, but it didn’t go well. He’s been beaten and whipped and given little food for too long, and relegated to do the work horse when he’s not. He just needs to learn that people can be trusted again, but he’ll be stronger and swifter than all the others, I’m sure.”
“Hey, I’m trying to stay in the role. I was told I’m a religious figure and I should behave! You’re ruining the mood, people need to think I’m the Herald of Andraste for real and that you can’t laugh! Stop, or I’ll have to sing a very lewd drinking song, you’ll laugh loudly, and they’ll all know!”
“I am aware I must sound like a child. But I believe people are good, deep down. And that everyone deserves a second chance.”
“In the case I’ll tragically fall to my death on horseback, I’ll leave a note to allow you to talk to my funeral and tell everyone that you told me so, is it all right?”
“The bad and the good, Cole. The good is better if there’s bad, like when it stops raining and the sun shines again, or when springs melts the snow and the flowers grow. But, humans can’t choose one, you know it. There must be snow and rain and thunder to make the flowers grow. I’m fine, don’t look at me. What do you want to do?”
“Honestly, I think all the time that you would have made a way better job as Inquisitor, if I hadn’t convinced the Keeper to send me and not you. You would have done a better job as First than I ever did, if… And I’m… I’m trying to prove that it’s not so, that I can be good too. Been doing it all my life, honestly.”
“Mh. I’m not really sure. Care to try again? For science?”
“You wished for a Cinderella, your Grace, but I am a bad one. You would know if you ever had paid more attention to anyone that’s not yourself.”
“But then, even if I feel nauseous and I hate everything and I would beg you to just take the title from me, I can’t take it, it’s too much and I’m just me… Then I remember that if I had run, I’d never met any of you, and you’ve all become family, and… And I do believe that we’re doing something good to the world. And that’s… That’s enough when the walls seems to loom upon me and I think that I can’t shoulder another impossible decision that shouldn’t be mine to take.”
“What if you explain and nothing changes? I know about loneliness, and of thinking you don’t deserve the love you get. You don’t have to face it alone.”
“I know. But I can still do some good, and the important people will remember me. I don’t care for the rest.”
“I’ve been alone ever since people started calling me the Herald of fucking Andraste, but I guess you wouldn’t understand being imposed by others a part that means nothing to you and you hate, right, Blackwall?”
“But if thinking he deserves another chance makes me a traitor, than be it. He’s more powerful than any of you realize. If you really think that hate and open hostility will ultimately save us all, I am glad to call myself a traitor and die as one.”
“No. You will let me finish. I know my shit, I am good at it, I am happy that you worry and care for me, really! I am and thank you for it, but this is getting ridiculous and I’m only doing worse because I’m stressed about you not trusting that I am competent and constantly watching me like… Like… Like a fucking vulture!”
Special mentions:
"Bad horsey!"
“Hey! I also have good days!”

I love to imagine how shocked and surprised the ranchers and Pearl would be when they both realize that the ranchers don’t fear Pearl and that Pearl isn’t ridiculing the ranchers for even a second
Like they’d be flabbergasted
“Wait your not scared of me??”
“Wait your not gonna make fun of us???”
Just imagine them standing together like that one Spider-Man point meme
Sorry this answer is about to go on a bit of a general ranchers/pearl thought spree but YEAH this, lmao. They have more in common than they'd think!! Alas fate was cruel and it feels like two ships that were so close to meeting but just barely missed each other in the night, sailing right past
Jimmy at least has Tango to not be alone in his ridicule but even with their heads put together they wouldn't have enough brain capacity to care about what others are saying about Pearl. And well, there WAS session 3 when Jimmy shooed Pearl away because of. powdered snow?????? And because she was holding a sculk sensor?? Honestly I don't think Jimmy even at that point cared much about her being labelled as crazy, or didn't perceive it as anything significant, because it never came up unless I'm mistaken? Not once did the ranchers mention that? Jimmy did still break my heart in that moment but I don't think he realized the gravity of what he was doing. I think he was leaning into that more jokingly than anything but also... maybe Scott's presence at that very moment influenced him (cough because flower husbands past cough)
Tango most certainly wouldn't care about what Scott was spreading about Pearl. Scott could come and tell it to his face and he'd be like "uhuh yup!" and then forget immediately because he's Tango (not because he's stupid, he just doesn't think about things he doesn't consider important in relation to him). And Jimmy I think might care more if he weren't in like a happy ranch marriage with Tango and stuff. They'd be aware but not know how deep others' perception of Pearl went, nor would they care unless Pearl wronged them in any significant way
Jimmy wasn't surprised by Pearl's kindness to them in getting the goat horns, probably mostly because he was racking his brain too hard over Minecraft mechanics and being too overjoyed when they did get said horns, but probably also because he expected it to be a one-off thing? But I'd like to think that when Pearl returned to apologize after making a fool of him by stealing Oreo (the horse) with Martyn, and Jimmy kept asking "Are you serious?" when Pearl offered to give the horse back for nothing in exchange this time, that that was when he was really taken aback. Pearl once again showed some form of kindness, even as she was being shunned by everyone (moreso now than in session 2) and as she started to lean into the label of "crazy" that she was given because what else was she to do, all alone? Even then she ran back to Jimmy to apologize and give the horse back. And Jimmy, sweet child, offers friendship at last. But then he got ahead of himself when Pearl asked for confirmation and he went "You know you'd be an even better friend if you gave my horn back too!" and Pearl had to admit she'd already given it to Martyn, after which they kind of just separated without saying much. Clearly Jimmy was disappointed but mm he didn't even proclaim that Pearl wasn't welcome anymore or anything... It was certainly implied through his silence but knowing Jimmy, he would have gotten defensive and made his stance clear, but he didn't, which was either because he didn't want to, because maybe he still wanted to entertain the idea of Pearl making it up to him, OR he was just that fucking sad. He just said "right" and left as Pearl laughed (also I refuse to believe there was malice there in her laugh. What else was she gonna do in response) Either way oh my god I hate it I'm so sad
Anyway so. Their interactions past session 2 were mostly unfortunate but to me it's just... SUCH CRUEL FATE because YOU'RE RIGHT ANON. I really think they could have made it work but because Pearl was in the position that she was in, she didn't consider the idea of ever allying with anyone seriously enough and when she would have, with the ranchers, she'd already felt like she missed her chance. I'd like to imagine her laugh then, when Jimmy left her at the gate of the ranch was that of realization that maybe this friendship really could have happened, but she messed it up. And I'd like to think the ranchers would have still ultimately welcomed her into an alliance, had Pearl not given up trying, because she probably thought that if the ranchers hadn't thought badly of her yet, they must have now. Because no one wanted her, why would the ranchers be an exception? I'm gonna stop my unrefined elongated rant before I completely lose myself um hi hello I'm sorry that I got emotional in response to an anon ask describing the spiderman meme LMAO I'm a bit ill

Part 1
The days were a blur for Bucky. Fever from the infection mixed with days in the freezing wild had made him delirious. He vaguely remembered someone pulling him off the frozen ground and onto a cot in the medical tent.
After a few more disorienting days spent with the doctors crafting a new arm, and healing him from the infection, he was finally able to rejoin the Howling Commandos.
During dinner one night, Steve pulled him aside.
“Hey Buck,” He said. “How are you?”
“Still a little out of it.” Bucky shrugged.
“I’ve been meaning to ask, how did you even make it back here? It’s nearly eighty miles through rough terrain from the train tracks.”
“I…” He began, “I’m not entirely sure myself.” Bucky half-remembered an impossibly huge pair of wings and maybe a sled, but he was sure he had just hallucinated them. Well, mostly sure.
Seeing how truly confused Bucky was, Steve decided to drop the topic for now. After all, his friend had just gone through a very traumatizing time. It was normal for him to seem a bit off.
Bucky knows he’s being watched. He can feel someone’s eyes on him, but when he turns to look, all he sees is empty forest. He tries to shake off the feeling and returns to his first night back on watch duty. He can see his breath in the freezing air, and a chill runs down his spine. Readjusting his rifle, Bucky continued along the perimeter of the camp. With the snow falling on it, his metal arm seems to sparkle.
When he’s halfway around the camp – as close to the forest as he’d get – he sees something move in the shadows.
“Who’s there?” He asks while taking aim. His voice stays quiet, and he hears footsteps. Following them, he walks deeper into the woods. Suddenly, the sound disappears and he’s in a small clearing. Again, he feels someone watching him.
“Who’s there?” He asks, more forcefully this time.
“What is your name?” A voice from the trees asked. It sounded small and scared. Like a lost child.
“It’s Bucky.” He said, slightly lowering his rifle. “I won’t hurt you. Do I know you?”
Wordlessly you slipped from the shadowy trees above him. He turned, and after a moment, recognition seemed to dawn on him.
“Y/n?” He asked.
“The one and only.”
“I… I thought I made that up.” He said, “I thought I was just delirious and seeing things, but no. You’re real.”
“Of course I am,” You laughed, “Are you okay? I see you’ve got yourself a shiny new arm.”
“Mhm. It took them hours to attach this thing, but it works surprisingly well and they got the whole infection under control within a few days.”
“That’s good to hear,” You smiled, “Anyway, that’s only part of why I’m here. The Snake Worshipers have been preparing for something. Countless HYDRA trains go roaring over my valley every day. It’s gotten so bad I can barely sleep.”
“That can’t be good. If you give me a second I can write this down.” He fidgeted with one of his pockets, and pulled out a piece of paper and a pen. Your eyes widened at the paper, and Bucky remembered how much you treasured the single scrap you had made into a map.
“You know,” He started, “If you keep telling me what the ‘Snake Worshipers’ are up to, then I could supply you with plenty of paper." You perked up, considered it for a second, then agreed.
You were about to leave for the night, since Bucky had written down all the intel you had to give, when you asked him one last thing.
“You haven’t told anyone about me, right? Not even Steve?”
“Yeah,” Bucky nodded, “None of them know you exist.”
“Good. Let’s keep it that way.”
“Why?” Bucky was taken aback.
“Although I trust you…” You trailed off, trying to find the right words, “There’s just so many people in that camp and I don’t know if they’re all good.”
“I know these guys,” He reassured you, “Nobody's gonna chase you away for having wings. It’s not like your village–”
“Hey!” You cut in, “There are good people in my village. Just a few nutjobs that would follow the Cleric to the end spoiled it all.”
“Okay,” He said, “Sorry, sorry, just please keep your voice down. They’ll hear us.”
“I’m sorry too.” You said, then looked to the sky. “Well, I want to get out of here before midnight, and that’s fast approaching.”
“And my shift ends then.”
“See you in three days?”
“Sounds like a deal.”
You started on the journey back home, flying so low you occasionally brushed the treetops. At noon you stopped to refill your waterskin in a freezing stream, but aside from that, the whole day was spent flying. It was a wondrous feeling, even though it was quite tiring. In a way, it was a lot like swimming. You were fully in control, every motion affected how you moved. The air rushed by you, icy.
You continued to meet with Bucky every few days. One day, when spring was still weeks away, you were flying home. As the first hints of evening came around, your valley came into view. Diving into it, you soared along the bottom. You saw something strange, slowed down, and grabbed on to a tree.
There was a large swath of fallen trees, right below the train tracks. You got closer, and saw it was caused by a few railcars. They seemed to have fallen not too long ago, as no snow had settled on them yet.
You launched off the tree, and glided to a tipped over railcar. It was made of a smooth dark metal only interrupted by the large door. With a considerable amount of effort, you managed to unlatch the bolt holding it closed and push it open. You slipped inside. The car was filled with crates. One had smashed open during the fall, and you examined its contents of strangely shaped guns.
You knew this was the type of thing Bucky needed to know about, so you carefully removed a piece of paper from your pocket, and started to sketch out one of the weapons. It had cylindrical barrels, a blue light on top, and a wire connecting the two. After that was finished, you looked at the outside of the crate. On the side there were symbols, but you couldn’t read what they said. Despite that, you copied them down onto your paper.
You looked around some more, and found a dead body. He was dressed in a HYDRA uniform, complete with the octopus-headed arm patch. It looked as though he’d been tossed around and killed by the fall, but that wasn’t the scariest part. If he was on the train, there must be others.
Rushing to put everything back in place, you quickly fled to the trees. From there, you simply watched the train. A few hours later, a team of no more than six trekked towards the fallen train.
They wore HYDRA uniforms, and carried huge canisters on their backs.
One went ahead to each train car, dousing it with a shimmering liquid. When he gave the all clear to the group, they opened the valves on their equipment and shot fire at the train.
Within moments it was up in flames burning ten feet tall. The fire didn’t stay put, embers were already jumping to the nearby trees. With the smoke clouding the sky behind you, you flew home, hoping against hope that the HYDRA men didn’t see you.
Watching the trees you hunted in for years go up in flames hurt. It was like a part of you was burning.
When you finally touched down at home, you looked back at the looming column of smoke. It was miles away, and still filled half the sky. Was it going to spread this far? You hoped not, but still wanted to be prepared for the worst.
You packed up your most important things (the papers from Bucky, the map, and some basic survival supplies) and kept them in a bag right by the door. Just in case the fire spread.
Days later, you arrived back at the clearing where you waited in the trees. Just before midnight, Bucky arrived.
“Hello!” You jumped down from the tree, landing right behind him.
“Jeez kid, do you always have to scare me like that?” He laughed.
“No, but I like to.” You still spoke to each other in the mixed up language made from English, a little German, and your native language. Both of you were much smoother with it now.
“I found something interesting,” You said, taking out the papers in your bag.
“Right to business, okay.” Bucky nodded.
“What does this say?” You tapped the letters you copied from the crate.
“Arnimhilation 99L Assault Weapon,” He said, “Where did you see this?”
“I found a train that fell from the tracks. There were tons of crates full of these.” You took the drawing you made out of your bag, and showed it to him. After a moment of staring at the paper, Bucky finally said something.
“How… How many of these were there?”
“I only checked one train car, but they were stacked floor to ceiling.” You tallied them up in your head, “There were about 200 crates.”
“With that number of 99L’s…” He trailed off.
“HYDRA… they came back,” You closed your eyes, trying not to remember the flames lapping up the forest that you called home, and took a steadying breath. “And they burned the entire train. There was nothing left of the weapons, just the empty metal shells of the train cars. I checked the day the flames died down.”
“If they can afford to send an entire trainload of them up in flames, then they must have countless…” The implications of that silently hung in the air.
“This wreck has brought more HYDRA agents into my valley. I don’t… I don’t know if I can go home. I don’t know if I’m going to come home to a burned hole in the ground! I don’t know if they’ll find me in the middle of the night and whisk me away. I- I’m scared.”
A tear slipped down your cheek, and Bucky pulled you in for a hug.
“It’s gonna be alright.” He said, “I won’t let that happen. You’re like family to me, and I protect my family, they’re the whole reason I’m out here.”
“Thank you.” It had been a long time since anyone hugged you, but this felt safe. He would do what your mother couldn’t, and protect you.
“... then we’ll cut them off when they come through the pass here.” Bucky pointed to a small break in the mountains on the map. His fellow Howling Commandos were crowded around a table, along with Agent Carter, Howard Stark, and a half-dozen assorted personnel.
“Any questions?” Bucky asked. A brief pause, then people started to filter out of the tent and towards the mess hall. As he was about to leave, Steve pulled him aside.
“Hey Buck,” He said, “Can we talk?”
“Of course.”
“Privately.” Steve eyed the few people still in the room. Bucky nodded, slipped out of the tent, and went to a secret spot behind the latrines. The smell kept most others away, but not these two. Steve and Bucky would meet there when they didn’t want to be overheard. Today was definitely one of those days.
A few moments later, Steve quietly joined Bucky.
“Is everything okay?” Bucky asked.
“That’s what I was gonna ask you,” He paused, “Among other things. You’ve been a little off since you got back, and you haven’t told anyone about it. Not even me. Did something happen out there?”
Bucky hesitated for a moment, maybe if he told Steve about you he’d understand and want to meet you. Then he remembered how fearful you had looked when he even suggested the idea of meeting someone new.
“No.” He said decisively, “Nothing happened. I mean, it was hellish, don’t get me wrong, but I’ve been trained well, and I got through it.”
“Okay,” nodded Steve, “You sure nobody helped you? You didn’t find an abandoned cabin, or a crate of supplies?”
“No.” He felt terrible lying to his closest friend, but it had to be done. He’d sworn to protect you, and he intended to keep his promise.
“Bucky,” Steve looked into his eyes, “I know you’re lying. I’ve known for a while. You were dropped off outside our medical tent wrapped in a hammock, too sick to even sit on your own. I was willing to let that slide. But now, in there,” He pointed back toward the tent where the briefing had taken place, “You magically know which pass HYDRA is planning on taking.”
“I-” But Bucky had no excuses. He wasn’t supposed to know that. How could he know that? You had intercepted a messenger bird, (which HYDRA used for medium range communication instead of radios, so as to avoid Allies overhearing them), made a copy, and took it to Bucky.
“Buck.” Steve said, “You’re a terrible liar. If you don’t tell me the truth before we leave for the mission, I’ll have to report you. I can’t risk lives to preserve our friendship.”
“I know.”
He’s different today. Agitated. On edge. There’s something gnawing at him from the inside. You were going to ask, then thought better of it. If he needed to tell you, he would. So instead of delving into it, you exchanged food and information.
“I’m afraid I haven’t got much to say.” You said, “Their formations all line up with the info we got from the bird. Do the Allies have a plan to utilize the information?”
“Yeah,” nodded Bucky, “We’re intercepting them after they come through the pass. Hopefully they won’t throw us any curveballs.”
“When do you leave?”
“Tomorrow afternoon.” A silence settled over the clearing, which was strange since you and Bucky usually had lively banter. You had just opened your mouth to speak, when you heard something. Someone breathing nearby. It wasn’t you or Bucky, and it wasn’t an animal.
There was a person hidden somewhere in the leaves, watching the two of you.
You slunk backwards into the forest, and bobbed your head towards the noise to warn Bucky. He turned to look. Almost immediately, the man watching you stepped out from the woods, his hand on the holster on his hip.
“Steve?” Bucky said.
“Bucky,” The other man, presumably Steve, said. They argued for many minutes. You could only make out a few words here and there, but from that and their tone you pieced together that Bucky was trying to convince Steve to put the gun down, while Steve demanded to know who Bucky had been talking to.
Things got more heated, and Steve took out his gun. Immediately, Bucky’s hands went into the air and he took a step back.
“Steve, you don’t need to do this.”
“How do I know you’re not selling Allied secrets?” Steve looked deeply betrayed, “Or setting us up for an ambush?”
“I promise I’m not.”
“I can’t just take your wor–” He abruptly stopped talking, and his jaw dropped.
Behind Bucky, you had stepped out of the shadows. Your wings glistened in the moonlight. Bucky dared a glance behind him, and saw you.
“Don’t hurt them.” He turned back to Steve, “Don’t hurt them, they’re just a kid.”
Wordlessly, Steve nodded and lowered his weapon. Then Bucky switched languages and spoke to you.
“Y/n, why didn’t you escape?”
“This man is threatening you. I could not leave you to face him alone.”
“He’s my friend.” Bucky replied. You raised an eyebrow at this.
“Friends do not threaten one another.”
“Yeah, well, these are strange times.”
“Hey!” Steve shouted, “Can we switch to English, please? Bucky, what the Hell is going on?”
Bucky nodded, and explained what had happened after his fall, you saving him, bringing him back to the Allies, and now spying on HYDRA for them.
“They’ve been giving me information on HYDRA movements in the area,” said Bucky, “And I’ve been giving them food and supplies in exchange.”
“Okay.” Steve said. By this time, his gun was holstered, and he was sitting on a stump across from you and Bucky. The log you were sitting on was freshly fallen, and you were running your fingers up and down the bark while the three of you talked. Bucky served as interpreter between you and Steve.
“How long have they been out here for?” Steve asked.
“Five years.” Bucky replied.
“All on their own?”
“They’re one tough cookie.”
Steve agreed to keep your existence secret, but he also made it clear that if you wanted to join them, you were more than welcome. He even said that after the war you could come to America with them. You declined the offer, and explained that in a few years you intended to go back to your home village.
“By then the Cleric should be dead.” You said, “He was old when I left, anyway.”
Steve nodded, “If you ever change your mind, my offer still stands.”
You tagged along from the shadows when the Howling Commandos went on missions, always watching them. When he learned of this, Bucky insisted you learn to shoot and that you carried a gun with you.
“I can’t have you in a battlefield without a weapon!”
“I always stay by the outskirts. So really, I’m not in the battle.”
On one mission, you were in a tree overlooking the battle, and Bucky was directly underneath it. Today he was tasked with being a sniper, so his entire focus was on the battle. Who had a clear shot on Steve? Was someone in that window?
He didn’t see the HYDRA agent sneaking up behind him, but you did. It felt like slow motion, the man noticed Bucky, drew his gun, and just as he was taking aim, you swooped in. The shot rang out, but the bullet simply glanced off your wings, ricocheting off into some poor tree.
Surprised at your sudden appearance, the HYDRA agent didn’t even see as Bucky appeared from behind you and shot him.
“Are you okay?” Was the first thing Bucky said.
“I think so,” You replied while your fingers traced over your wing, “Could you take a look?”
“There’s barely a mark,” He said, “Does this hurt?” He gently touched the spot the bullet had hit.
“No.” You shook your head.
“That’s incredible!” Bucky mused, more to himself than you. “If Stark could take a look at your wings, perhaps we could design some better armor…”
Ever since that day you’d been a bit bolder in battles, more willing to be in the midst of it, and more thankful that you’d learned to shoot.
The Commandos were familiar with you, since you followed them around, but none of them really knew you. Bucky introduced you to them one on one and you were able to tie together names and faces, but you didn't interact much. Instead, you focused on improving your English and your physical strength.
While you enjoyed following the Howling Commandos and being closer to Bucky, it meant you didn’t  go home to sleep. Instead you strung up a hammock in the trees past the borders of the camp.
As you were packing up one morning, Bucky approached.
“There’s a burned patch up ahead,” He began, “And the trees are all dead.”
“Yes. It’s not uncommon for HYDRA to start wildfires for fun.” You said. “What’s the problem?”
“Their roots were the only thing holding the dirt in place. It’s too unstable to drive our trucks over. We can probably walk it without too much of an issue, but it’s huge. Since it’s so dangerous, do you wanna walk by me?”
“I’d be happy to.”
When you first saw the burned area, the contrast between the small buds just starting to appear on the trees behind you, and the crunchy charcoal swath of land in front of you was shocking. The last few living trees were singed on one side, and alive on the other.
As you trekked through the burned landscape with Bucky and his group, it felt oddly reminiscent of going hunting with your father. Even though you’d only known Bucky for a month or two, you couldn’t help but think of him in a fatherly manner.
At nightfall, the Howling Commandos stopped at a burned out village for the night. Since there were no trees standing to hang your hammock from, you reluctantly set it down at the edge of the campfire’s light near the others’. During the night you awoke, and couldn’t go back to sleep, so you stargazed.
Staring up at the stars, you did some mental calculations and came to a gut-wrenching realization. This was your village. You stood, and looked around. To your right was the slope leading to the stream, which meant that your house was just a few moments away.
Filled with fear you half-stumbled-half-flew to your family’s home. All you saw was a pile of rubble. You fell to your knees, but did not let yourself cry. Maybe they had escaped. Yes, your family had been warned and escaped, that must be it!
Digging through the ash, you found bodies. You uncovered two. Both wrapped around each other protectively. They were badly burnt and a little old, but you could tell who they were.
Your parents.
That’s where Bucky found you early the next morning. Kneeling in the ash of your family home, weeping over your parents. Wordlessly, he sat next to you. You leaned over and hugged him, wiping your tears on his shoulder.
“Do you want to bury them?” He asked.
You nodded. Bucky grabbed a shovel and started breaking through the icy ground near the house. He called over Steve to help him. When the two of them were done, you went to have one final look at your parents.
Your eyes drifted to a dark chain around your father’s neck. It was the necklace you had gifted him years ago.
“It’s been years since you’ve seen me.” You said, stifling a laugh, “Why do you still have this?”
You gently unhooked it from around his neck, and slipped it into your pocket. Steve and Bucky lifted your parents into their grave, and started filling it back in.
A few days later, when the mission was finally over, the Commandos returned to camp with you trailing along behind. As they all entered the base, you slipped away to the tallest tree you could find. Your legs ached from the long days of travel, so you flew to the highest branches. You found a nice one, where you could lean sideways on the tree trunk and overlook the camp on one side, and the forest on the other.
The sun started to set over the trees, and in its final rays you were able to pick out the metallic glint of Bucky’s arm approaching the camp’s exit. You watched as it came closer and closer to your tree, and eventually Bucky started climbing it. He pulled himself up not quite as high as you and unslung a pack from his shoulder. Opening it, he pulled out a tin. He removed the top off and offered it to you.
You reached down and took it. It was ham and lima beans. Raising an eyebrow, you looked at Bucky.
“Sorry,” He said, “It’s all they had today.”
You nodded and began eating.
“How’re you holding up?”
You shrugged in response.
“Don’t wanna talk about it?”
“Mmhm.”
“Alright.” Bucky nodded. “The view sure is great up here. You can see the trees are just starting to turn green, and the sky is beautiful.”
“Yeah.” You agreed, your voice wavering only a little. “This is the first real day of spring. On the walk back today, I saw a leaf.”
You smiled, remembering the days of your childhood.
“When someone found that first leaf, they’d go sprinting back to the village, tell all their friends, all their neighbors, and everyone would go out to see the leaf. The Cleric would declare a feast day, which was always stressful since we sometimes got less than an afternoon of notice, but it was always so much fun.
“It was traditional to give gifts to your father on this day. Little leaf themed things, rags, treats,” Your hand trailed to your pocket, “Jewelry.” Carefully, you took out the necklace that had graced your father’s neck. It was made of thin chain with a small teardrop-shaped bit of metal hanging off of it. It was stamped with the image of a leaf, impossibly tiny and intricate. You sat there for a moment longer, debating with yourself.
“Bucky,” You began, “There is another, much older, tradition that when a child’s parents die, their neighbors and friends all pitch in to raise them. I didn’t get that. My entire village–my whole people–has been wiped out.
“Will you take this necklace,” You held it up. “And be my father?”
He considered it for a moment, then smiled.
“Of course,” He said, but was cut off when you crashed into him, nearly suffocating him with a bone-crushing hug.
“Thank you.”
Later that night, Bucky brought you into camp, and went about getting you your own tent. You had tried to push back on this a little bit, but having your own personal space with protection from the elements did sound nice, so you went along with it.
When it was finally set up, you and Bucky sat inside your tent drinking some tea. It was furnished with a small cot, a table, two chairs, and a chest. You’d already stashed your few belongings inside it, and found some uniforms. You held one up. The shirt’s sleeves were way too long, and the pants were barely calf-length.
“They just grabbed whatever they had extra of,” laughed Bucky, “You don’t have to wear them if you don’t want to.”
“I might wear the pants,” You said, “In a different size, of course, but the shirts aren’t made right. See?” You pointed to the back, “There’s no space for my wings!”
The two of you laughed for a while, but when silence eventually fell, the tears silently welled up inside your eyes.
“Hey, hey, hey,” Bucky said when the first tear slipped down your cheek. Trying his best to calm you down, he crouched down next to your chair and said, “It’s okay, it’s okay. It’s okay to miss them.”
“It’s just so stupid!” You said, wiping at your tears, “I hadn’t even seen them in years, why is it making me so sad?”
“I don’t know.”
“And this necklace, too. Why does it hurt so much that he kept it?”
“It means they never forgot you.” Said Bucky. “Not when the Cleric chased you away, not during the harsh winter days, when they didn’t even know if you were alive.
“It hurts because they loved you. It hurts because you love them.”
That calmed you somewhat, and after a hug and some more tea you were able to get to sleep. In the morning, you wandered out to the mess hall, trying not to panic at all the people everywhere.
The man dishing out the morning’s stew–bean augmented with freshly caught rabbit–gave you a little bit of trouble for not being on the list. This almost escalated, since the men in line behind you were being held up, but Bucky stepped in and smoothed things over.
“Being a Howling Commando has its perks.” He said as you followed him to a table. The rest of the Commandos were there, all eating breakfast.
“Everyone?” Bucky cleared his throat, “You’ve all met Y/n before, right?” Heads nodded, and Bucky continued.
“They’ve decided to join the Howling Commandos. Please welcome our newest member.” He nudged Steve, “Steve. The pin?”
Reaching into his pocket, Steve pulled out a small pin and passed it to Bucky. It was of a small yellow wing.
“Just in case you had any doubts about belonging here,” Bucky said, “Our symbol is the wing of the SSR Eagle. You’ll fit right in.”

Dream A little Dream Of Me
Tumblr media
Pairing: Stephen Strange x Reader
Summery: you're sick but thankfully you have your very own personal doctor
Warnings : sickness, fluff, just pure fluff
I'm sick, again. It's the second time this MONTH (I don't know how I find the time) so I'm kinda pissed because I have to study too, other than that I'd say it's some really good timing I have
‘’For the last time and in the name of god go back to bed’’ for one more time Stephen rose from his armchair abandoning for the third time that day his book and rushed to the kitchen where you were.
"Jesus Stephen, why aren't you reading that damned book!" You whined, stomping your foot on the floor like a misbehaving child and according to Stephen today you actually were.
"You know this lack of concentration is not good if you want to be the Sorcerer supreme. I mean to who do we trust our reality? A guy who can't read one page in an hour?"
"I would have if I wasn't patroling around the house like the police because you can't just go to sleep"
Without speaking he glared at you before grabbing the bag of crisp you tried to hide behind your back.
"Oh come on don't give me that look. I was hungry. I wanted a snack" you pouted puffing out your rosy cheeks and if you hadn't been so annoying and sick he would have certainly kissed you.
Instead he rolled his eyes and huffed tired with your mischievousness you somehow had even when you were burning with fever.
"I'm not going to repeat myself Y/N get back to bed" he put on a stern expression knowing you waiting for a chance not go to your bed and stay downstairs with him.
"Fine, fine but don't say like it's such a chore to you" before you could even finish your sentence you coughed loudly, your sore throat burning in the process.
"Did you say something?" Taking you by your hand he dragged you upstairs and dramatically you followed him, a sulky expression written all over your bruning face.
"For someone who's sick you certainly make sure to keep up with your exercise, taking strolls around the house. I'm not even going to mention how much you talk. Tell where do you find the energy?"
"I've been in bed since yesterday morning, I'm bored and you're not very entertaining" you said in a low tone not wanting to tire your voice.
You walked into your shared bedroom and knowing very well the way you headed to the unmade bed with the blankets and pillows laying down on the carpet.
"It's so so unfair! It's almost Christmas, outside, it's snowing , people are having fun and I'm here sick, laying in bed all day while having you nagging at me! Just so unfair!" You whined, crawling up on the bed before jumping on it a big sly smile lightening up your voice, as the bed left a loud crack with your fall.
Shaking his head disapprovingly Stephen chose to stay silent, pulling up the blankets from the floor.
"Please tell me. Aren't you tired?" He asked in pure curiosity.
"Well I might be a teeny tiny bit sick, but I won't let it take over.’’ you explained as he tucked you in carefully. "So there is no reason to get in the whole doctor mode. I'm fine" you sat up as he propped up your pillows and he raised an eyebrow at you "I swear" you said with an innocent smile.
"Your cheeks are red, where is your syrup?"
"Where is it Y/N?" With his hands both standing on his waist he looked at you with a raised eyebrow waiting for an answer. You widened your eyes with the unjust accusation.
"That disgusting thing? Pff no idea" you shrugged as he looked around the room
"I honestly don't know. I don't even want to be near it. Why would I know where you left it? But it's alright. I'm feeling totally better. Totally"
"Oh here it is. Fuck it's nearly empty" he sighted before putting it on the nightstand. "Let me see how better you are'' he mumbled to himself sitting near you on the bed before bringing his hand on your forehead to feel your temperature.
"You're burning." he stated with a spectacle expression that under different circumstances would have you laughing with how serious he could be.
"So sad that there is no syrop left to make me well"
"Don't worry there's just enough for now. But I have to run to the pharmasy later to buy you a new one" he smirked opening up the bottle "Open up"
"Yeaks. Do I really have to?" You grimaced, looking at the other way to avoid the threatening spoon. " Do you even know how to take care of a sick person? Because I'm not really sure " You whined
"Wells it had been only 14 years of intensive studying, a major and a PhD so I'd say yes I know how to treat a simple fever"
"Ha. Dear Stevie, here is what you get wrong. It's not just a fever. Every patience differs from the other even if they have the same illness and if you can't comprehend that individuality perhaps we should call someone more equipped for my situation"
"First of all please stop making up things and second of all we are not going to call anyone. I can guarantee to you no one in this state or in any other would tolerate you. Now open up" he said strictly and you stubbornly continued looking the other way.
"Can you behave for me please?" He said "I know it might not be perfect but it can't taste that bad"
"That's because you haven't taken it!" You exclaimed crossing your hands over your chest "but I felt terrible so I let it slide. Just this one though" you said pointing your index finger at him.
Opening your mouth you stuck out your tongue and swallowed the disgusting liquid, trying not to vomit.
"That's my good girl" he said, biting down the inside of his lip so he wouldn't burst into laughter.
"Am I gonna die?", you coughed with the terrible taste "because if I am you might as well tell me. I have so many things to do"
"Yeah like what. Nag me all day long? Because for a soon to die person you're pretty ahead of schedule" he said and closed the bottle of medicine.
"So I am going to die?"
"No darling you're not" he laughed with the desperation on your expression.
"Then are you going to stay here and keep me company?" With dove loving eyes and honeyed voice you looked at him, putting up all of your charm to make him stay.
"Well I don't want to get your sick gems"
"Come on!" You whined "If you don't I swear I will not stay a minute in bed and won't let you rest for a minute"
"Well I'm not the one who is sick here. You'll eventually get tired and stop. So why would I care?"
"What you say is very very awful because I'm sick. But since you don't care I will go outside where it is freezing, cold and snowy so I’ll sneeze and get a runny nose and I'll get even more sick. Then I will hunt you around the house to give you kisses and hugs so you'll get sick too" you finished crossing your hands over your chest with a proud look.
"God you're such a child and if you hadn't been that sneaky and sick I might even kiss you" he laughed, raising up to go to the closet.
"Thank you" you said with a hoarse voice that made your throat hurt.
"And what I'm gonna get out of this?"
"So here's the plan. You're going to put up your evil plan for another time and rest here while I run to the pharmacy and then perhaps I might bring you something for your throat. Then I'm gonna make you soup- and before you say it" he quickly said raising his index finger on your lips to stop you from talking
"Yes I know how to make soup so you don't have to worry about me burning down the kitchen" he finished and went to put on his coat "Not like I did last Sunday" he mumbled to himself.
"You're gonna get well, I'm gonna cook for you and we'll watch your favorite movie Barbie a christmas carol"
"I thought that was your favorite movie" you sneered and content you laid down. "Kissie before you go?"
"Why? So I can get sick too?" He asked fixing his collar.
"If you get sick you'll be with me then. Wouldn't that be great?"
"Fine" he kneeled over your tired body pressing tenderly a kiss on the crown of your head and then on your forehead. "Happy?"
"Very much kind sir" you smiled with your eyes closed from when he kissed you.
"Good because that's all you'll get for a while" he said
"Wait! I've really tried but I've been having trouble sleeping. Could you perhaps lay with me till I fall asleep like I so much want to?" You innocently batting your lashes. "Pretty, pretty please with a cherry on top?"
He groaned softly, acting annoyed as you immediately rested your head on his chest nuzzling your body to his. A happy hum escaped your lips as he started running his hands along your hair, twirling them around his fingers and pushing them off your face.
"Alright alright but just for a while and that's because I know you won't shut up"
Too tired to put up a fight with you he walked to the other side of the bed and pushed the blankets aside before slipping under them beside you. Quickly you wrapped hands and legs around him, trapping him close to you so he had no escape.
He could feel your body instantly relaxing on top of his. His fingers ran easily along your hair and your sweet scent he so much had missed after a day of not sleeping with you, filled the room. Relaxing now himself he rested his cheek on your burning cheek and even though he knew you wouldn't stay too long in that position eventually getting too hot or cold his mind really tried to hold onto those moments of blissful peace .
He knew that you did. If you had the power you would stay like this for an interanty.
"Stevie", you whispered sweetly, your voice cracking however.
"Yes dear?"
"Could you hold my hand while I'm sleeping like my doctor advised me? Please?" You said and he smiled to himself happily.
"Of course dear" his hand found yours that rested on his chest, your fingers locking as you let out a sheepish yawn. "happy? Now sleep"
"I know you love me deep down," you said and smiled proudly. Stephen raised up your hands bringing them close to his mouth and kissed your knuckles.
Bonus: after cuddling and watching every barbie movie stephen gets sick too so they have to spend two days in bed together, playing boarding games, cuddling, making bets while taking each others temperature about who will have the highest and watching every single christmas movie that exist, while Wong cooks for them soups (spoiler he is very responsible and kinda scared of getting sick too so he is very strict about the staying in bed rule)
"I'm allowed to have flaws, aren't I?"

Been working on a new fic on the side, and I'm hoping to have it out sometime soon. I'm planning on it being relatively short (for me at least, lol!) with maybe two chapters or it just being a long oneshot.
I had this idea hit me hard when I went to visit Tanganikya Wildlife Park earlier this month and saw these cute babies being bottle fed:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
YES, THOSE ARE BABY SNOW LEOPARDS!! They were adorable and watching them gave me some seriously wonderful mdtb ideas.
What you need to know for this AU:
Madara is a single dad in this, raising a recently orphaned Kagami. His cousin Shisui can see Madara is edging on burnout, and suggests that he take Kagami to the wildlife park Shisui works at in an attempt to get them both to relax and have a little fun.
In the process Madara meets the capable (and very distracting) animal handler Tobirama who manages the care of the big cats for the park, including the nursery.
Shisui can see the sparks flying between them and, like any good wingman would, decides to help his very useless cousin win a date.
Here's a sneak peak below :3 Enjoy! :
“Uncle, look, look! There’s cousin Shisui!”
Madara barely bit back a sigh as he was all but pulled towards the waving figure of his own uncle’s eldest son who stood just beyond the turnstiles of Konoha’s Wildlife Park with a warm smile on his face.
“I see him, Kagami-kun,” Madara reassured Kagami as he allowed the boy to lead them towards Shisui through the modest bustle of people heading to and from the giftshop which sat adjacent to the entrance they had just exited.
He knew he should correct Kagami’s manhandling, but it was the most excited he’d seen his nephew in weeks since Shisui had first suggested bringing Kagami to the park. His cousin had been nice enough to offer to give them a behind the scenes tour even though he knew Shisui was just as busy as Madara was. As one of the park’s program managers that oversaw the various animal handlers that worked within the park, Shisui had somehow been able to pull strings to make their visit possible, and Madara was beyond grateful for it even though he strongly suspected Shisui was likely to ask for a favor in return.
Madara couldn't say he minded the way Shisui had continued to try and force himself into Madara's sphere the last few months, when before they'd seen each other maybe once a year, if that. He probably owed Shisui more than a few favors in totality, honestly, if he thought back on all that Shisui had done for him lately.
They all were still reeling from the unexpected loss of Kou and his wife to a horrific car accident nearly a year ago, but his nephew most of all. Kagami’s entire life had been upended in a short amount of time, and it was understandably taking some time for the boy to heal and work through his loss.
Madara and Izuna had quickly moved to do what they could to pick up the pieces, Madara by taking in his older brother’s son and Izuna by chipping in to help with smoothing out the legal aspects Madara hadn’t been prepared to face down on his own. As a well known corporate lawyer, Izuna had been invaluable in guiding them through the probate process as well as the legal guardianship considerations they’d had to undertake in order for Madara to legally adopt Kagami. Dealing with the loss of Kou had been hard enough to stomach, but all of the paperwork they’d had to complete in addition to divesting of Kou’s estate had been a special kind of hell that Madara never wanted to experience again.
Only now were things starting to begin to feel a little more normal more days than not, even though Madara still hadn’t quite wrapped his head around the fact he’d essentially become a father in all but name. He didn’t know how Kou and his wife had done it, frankly. Kagami was a good child, but he was a handful to say the least. At seven the boy had more energy than Madara ever remembered having even at Kagami's age, and Madara continually found himself exhausted beyond reason no matter what he did.
Maybe it would be easier with another person in the picture to help lighten the load so to speak, but Madara hadn’t been the most social of people even before adopting Kagami, both out of choice and because his job as a very in demand ophthalmic surgeon made it difficult at the best of times to find any time to get out to meet people.
It hadn’t gotten any calmer, truthfully. Especially now that he’d had to structure things a bit more tightly to make certain his schedule was more predictable so he could be home with Kagami during normal hours.
It was good Izuna was always willing to fill in for him if his own schedule permitted, but it was another layer of stress Madara hadn’t had to deal with before, and he was only just beginning to grow used to having to fit his life around another human being’s.
To be frank, Madara very much needed a vacation. Kagami did, too. Unfortunately such a thing wasn't possible at the moment for a variety of reasons, which was where Shisui's brilliant idea came into play.
“There’s my favorite little man!” Shisui beamed down at Kagami, making a show of looking him up and down. “You’re looking a little bigger, Kagami-kun.”
“That’s cause he is,” Madara cut in, not even bothering to fight back the sigh he let out. The amount of clothing Kagami was going through was simply ridiculous at the moment. “He’s grown another three inches since you saw him in February.”
Shisui’s eyebrows shot up at that, his surprise not faked in the slightest as he stared down at Kagami with a blatantly impressed expression.
“No kidding? You’re going to be eating Madara-san out of house and home, soon at the rate you’re going.”
“No I’m not!” Kagami giggled at that, looking quite pleased with himself and Madara lightly scuffed the boy’s hair, unable to help the fond look he directed down at his young nephew.
“Yeah, you actually are,” Madara dryly insisted, before his hand came to rest atop Kagami’s messy head of hair.
“Kou was a tall bas–” Shisui started to say only to quickly correct his choice of wording when Madara shot him a look hot enough to melt steel, “tall dude. Your mama, too. My money’s on you being just as tall when you grow up, Kagami-kun. So, ready to see some animals?”
Madara had to give it to Shisui, it was a near perfect diversion away from his near slip up, but unlike Kagami who had perked up at the promise of seeing the park's inhabitants and had already forgotten their previous conversation, Madara made sure to level a flat look at his cousin that served as a wordless warning he knew Shisui would understand implicitly.
“Right! Well, let’s get going then!” Shisui quickly clapped his hands together in a near hysterical manner, and Madara had to stifle the snort that very nearly escaped him in response.

Could i request sansa x reader? It'd be cute when reader bakes a lemon cake for sansa haha, thank you
When Life Gives You Lemons
Pairing: Sansa x Reader (could be seen as platonic or romantic)
Genre: Fluff
Word Count: 800+
A/N: I loved this request! It's so cute. I wrote this pretty late at night, so I hope it makes sense. haha.
Tumblr media
You usually avoided the kitchen. Not intentionally, but because you had no reason to be there. But today was different. Melancholic was the only word you could use to describe Sansa Stark's demeanor lately. She smiled, but you could see the sadness behind her eyes. The Red Wolf missed her siblings, and you could only imagine she felt more alone than usual. She received a letter from Arya, but she knew it had been written months before, making her realize just how far apart they really were. She spent many years away from her siblings, and now that she had them again, they all went their separate ways.
Not wanting her to feel alone, you spent hours trying to figure out a way to cheer her up. You considered setting out to find any sliver of plant life in the sea of snow to bring her. But honestly, you knew that would only end in disappointment. You even thought about having one of the bards write a song for her, but knowing Sansa she wouldn't enjoy something so ostentatious. Finally, after passing a servant wheeling a cart of lemons, you ended up in the kitchen of all places.
The servants giggled as you fought with the cake batter. At least they took pity on you and helped you with the lemons, but they showed little mercy as you whipped the gooey lemon batter inside the wooden bowl. Droplets flew out and splattered over your face. But even so, you managed to dissolve most of the clumps into a smooth, creamy substance. The smell of flour and lemon was potent, and even you couldn't wait to bite into it.
"She's coming!" A young servant girl shouted in a small, squeaky voice.
You felt your heart beat quicker in your chest. Sansa was supposed to be in an important meeting and said it was an arrangement that could "last for hours." But judging by the footsteps echoing down the corridor, you knew that meeting must have finished a lot faster than she anticipated. Why was she so early? You feared your entire surprise would be ruined. You could only imagine rebuilding Winterfell and restoring it to its former glory took much of Sansa's time. But not enough time to bake a cake apparently.
You shook away your thoughts and tried to focus on the task at hand. "I'm not finished!" You said as you quickly poured the batter into a pan. "Stall her!" You insisted as you shoved the pan into the oven. It's not as if the cake would be ready in the time it took for Sansa to make her complete trajectory into the kitchen, even with the servants attempting to distract her from your endeavors. You dusted your hands together, sending residue of flour into the air. You turned in a flurry, staring wide-eyed at the tall redhead. "Sansa. Hi." You said dumbly.
Sansa quirked a brow as the corner of her lips tugged into a smile, "What are you doing down here?" She asked calmly. Her hands were clasped together in front of her. Her tall regal stature was intimidating and made you feel almost like a timid child in her presence.
You swallowed, feeling embarrassed as giggles from the servants filled the room. "Nothing." you lied, and terribly so.
Sansa chuckled lightly, knowing it wasn't 'nothing,' and moved closer to you. Her eyes roved over your face, and you saw amusement glimmer in her pale gaze. "Looks like batter." She swiped her finger over your face and brought it to her lips. "It tastes like it too." Her eyes gentled as the taste and smell began to fill her senses. "Lemon. My favorite." She murmured.
"Yes, well. It was supposed to be a surprise." You admitted, trying to hide the disappointment in your voice.
Her eyes sparkled, "It still is." She said, "I can't believe you're baking a cake for me." She laughed. It was a light, airy laugh that warmed your heart and wrapped around you like a hug. Seeing Sansa happy was all you wanted.
"Well, I thought it would make you happy."
She nodded, "It does." she reached out to take your hands. "Thank you." She whispered. You could tell by the softness of her voice that Sansa knew precisely why you did it, "For cheering me up." She glanced at the servants, and as if they understood her silent command, they hurried out, leaving you alone with the Queen of the North. She pulled you close, hugging you against her furs.
"You're a good friend. I'm so lucky to have you." She murmured against your hair. You sighed as warmth and relief washed over you.
"I'm always going to be here for you." You said, and she squeezed you tighter. She may not have had her siblings in Winterfell, but at least she had you and lemon cake.
