i get the appeal of studying and having a coffee now.
before today i was like 'hmm ok u go studytok/studyblr, slay queens, but i dont get it'
after today, now i get it. just the vibe, the atmosphere of having a coffee while you work in a cafe... so aesthetic and vibey i love it. (as for the caffeine aspect; if i really want caffeine ill have a monster. obv others can do what they want and consume what they want)
(16-09-2022) It’s finally Friday 😁 I hope everyone enjoys their weekend. Do something fun for me I have to work 🥱 Been super busy the past few days with work, but finally got some time to get caught up in my planner. Time to make the theme for next week!

I tend to watch study tiktok compilations for motivation. Do they help? Some of them do. Do a lot frustrate me to no end? Yes. Some of them are absolutely awful, encouraging you to not eat, sleep, and ignore your mental health, and instead focus all your time on studying. It's probably obvious, but it has been proven that you work better when rested and when you're taking care of yourself (i.e., eating). And mental health days are important. Taking breaks is important. Stop listening to the people saying that if you take a rest that you're falling behind. Getting burnt out will get you way further behind than taking breaks for your own mental health.
Just, if you are like me and watch those study compilations, please keep this in mind.
it's only been two days but i feel good about myself :)
morning work outs
breakfasts - which i dont usually do
early sleep time - 12mn as of current, last week for several days my sleep time was 4am... heh, progress, right? and today i woke up at 4am to study before class starts
light lunch or no lunch - thinking of this as an intermittent diet that's why i try to eat a healthy and heavy breakfast
break time nap time - usually our classes have a minimum of 10 minutes, so there's time for a nap !!
been making studying entertaining - this started when mama first gave me a bowl of popcorn while i do some readings and until now it makes things even better (or i just really like popcorn)
tea time - brought this back !! while i digest my dinner i've been drinking peppermint tea while studying before i go to bed
samsung alarm - i feel like everyone knows the difference of intensity a samsung alarm and an apple alarm has. calmer alarm = less panic in the morning
next week's already my finals and i feel it's important i feel good and a bit calm this week so as to not bring the stress and anxiety along with the standard set of negative energy that's already there during exams, haha
also, correct me if i'm wrong with the usage of the term, i find it funny how, as a coping mechanism to stress, i have been regressing - listening to disney songs and as of today, started to rewatch children shows like backyardigans and little einsteins. deadlines have been the major cause of my stress this week because we have a minor subject that gave 20+ activities and I just want things to get done real quick because I want to focus on studying for my majors

so i’ve been looking for ways i can expand the type of content i can share. i don’t have the energy for a full YouTube channel (*yet?*), but i thought id start with a cheeky tiktok.

i will never understand people that are like "oh i didn't study haha" and then... they did, and they just dont want to admit they studied because they want the people THEY surround themselves with to get comfortable in the mental state of not trying hard academically and to embrace falling behind WHILE they are tring to get ahead of them in almost any way possible .
girl it is NOT a competition most of the times, you DON'T need to lie. just because your classmate aces a test doesn't mean their grade will impact your grading . seeing normal schoolwork or tests as competition between classmates is honestly stupid and unnecessary, also, you're making an habit of lying to your mates for no other reason that because in your head you have the malicious hope for them to fail. weird behaviour fr.
honestly my pursuit for education has been a joke but i still knew i could count on my classmates. we had shared drives and shared notes and we had a system and the teachers often helped setting it up because we were all just there for a baccalaureate diploma. secondary school is not the fucking hunger games lmao stop tiktok shifting and what not you're getting false notions about reality.
