Oooo my forever perfect imo a:tla au would be where Ahsoka is the avatar and obi-wan is her water bending teacher (but a case could be made for air nomad monk obi-wan — just depends on how much adjacent priest kink there’d be) and Anakin is her fire bending teacher (no cases can be made for any other element I will not hear them. Court dismissed)

and they absolutely hate each other. Just so much hate. Cold and aloof obi-wan like the ices of the North Pole vs Anakin who would burn every conversation to the ground if it meant getting an honest reaction from Master Kenobi

Ahsoka is just trying to learn the four elements here. Master Jinn taught her earth bending and Master Depa taught her air bending already. Theyre just waiting around for her water and fire bending teachers to actually do their job and stop fighting with each other

Coast clear, a quick reach between his legs confirms his suspicions when his fingertips come back red.

“Fuckity fucking fuck,” Jaskier hisses under his breath, slamming his head back into the ground. Perfect. Absolutely fucking perfect. Just what he fucking needs when he’s trying to convince Geralt to stop trying to get rid of him. He winces at a sharp stab in his pelvis and lifts the cover of his bedroll to glare at his own body. “Fuck you.”

Bethany’s thoughts

So I’ve been thinking a lot about really cool lightsaber fights. And how cool it would be to have an epic lightsaber fight in the Mandalorian.

But that got me thinking about two fights in particular:

Maul vs Obiwan

and

Maul vs Ahsoka

....because Maul, Ahsoka, and Obiwan.

Anyways...I got to thinking, “ya know, Maul probably could’ve won those fights if he had better control over what makes him a Sith...his anger and impulsive behavior.”

Obiwan probably still would’ve been a challenge for him, since Qui-gon Jinn trained and him all. But Obiwan was still a padawan then himself. But I think Padawan Obiwan was more impulsive than Master Obiwan, so perhaps that’s why he was a good match for Maul. Maul’s impulsive behavior evened out the rest of his skill level so that Kenobi had a chance. In the end, it was Maul’s overconfidence that did him in.

Now, I think by rights Ahsoka should’ve lost the battle with Maul. Not to say that she’d be killed, since I get the impression Maul would’ve tried again to turn her to his side after what he saw in his vision came to pass. He knew she’d be emotionally vulnerable after that betrayal.

But once again, I think it was Maul’s anger that got the better of him. He was angry at Ahsoka for not joining him, he was angry at her direct disagreement regarding his vision (she’s yet another person who is failing to see the truth), and he is angry at the betrayal by Sidious. Now, don’t get me wrong. That fight was still cool AF, but I think if Maul had had better control of his anger, he’d have bested Ahsoka. She is very well trained, and trained by the best, but let’s not forget she left the Temple before she had completed training AND who knows how much lightsaber experience she’s had since leaving. She’d want to stay under the radar, so she probably didn’t use them much. So she went into the fight probably a little rusty.

But the very thing that makes Maul a Sith and to his ultimate downfall, was the very thing that helped her get the upper hand. Maul’s anger.

For a Sith to wield it, I think it’s more than just “being angry”. It’s controlling that anger, that powerful emotion, and using it to fuel the fire inside them. If it’s controlled and used properly, it could make someone unstoppable.

A parallel that I realized came from Avatar: The Last Airbender. When Zuko let go of his anger, he couldn’t firebend as well if at all sometimes. That’s because he was using said anger to fuel his skill. He had to find something else to use as fuel, another emotion that was equally as powerful.

The Sith and Jedi are very much alike in that both require control to be successful. A Sith can be powerful in the Force, but sloppy because he or she lacks control of those emotions. Wildly swung lightsabers and impulsive choices will ultimately lead to a Sith’s downfall. Now a Sith who is in control of his or her emotions and knows how to use them properly is a huge threat to a Jedi.

Anyways, that’s just what I was thinking about that....

You know, I remember Jinn from Avatar but never gave her that much thought until I rewatched the series and oh my gosh, Jinn was such an underutilized character and I wish the show did more with her and her relationship with Zuko. Jinko is the best Zuko ship in mt opinion.

I also wish we could have seen a bit more of Jin. It’s such a shame her last appearance is looking scared when the Fire Nation invades at the start of season 3. I’d have loved at least a glimpse of her in the finale, looking happy and smiling at the end of the war.

I think it made sense for The Tale of Zuko to end Jin and Zuko’s relationship in the show. Zuko and Jin were the right couple, just at the wrong time. But now, given the post war events in the comics, the writers could bring Zuko and Jin back together again because, yes, Jinko is the best ship. (If it doesn’t happen, never mind, but it would be a dream come true.)

Star Wars Characters in an Avatar: The Last Airbender AU

So I’ve been thinking of this for a while. The way I’m doing it, only Force-Sensitives will be benders cuz that feels right

PREQUELS

Anakin Skywalker: Earthbender. Well, actually he’d be the Avatar and his best skill would be firebending, but Anakin grows up in the Earth Kingdom in this AU in that desert where he races sandships and wins by sandbending. He also figures out metalbending cuz he’s a nerd and still good with metals and mechanics.

Obi Wan Kenobi: Firebender. NO WAIT LISTEN. Firebender!Obi is a hill I will die on because ik he might SEEM more like water or air or even earth, the guy in ATLA who Obi Wan mirrors the closest is Uncle Iroh. They both are distinguished war generals former war generals who ended up outcasts because the government they served was no longer what they stood for and their loved ones got hurt/killed. Both are the Wise Old Mentor who guide the troubled young men whose fathers brutally maimed them. Both are fucking deadly when they want to be and only grow stronger with age. The only difference is that Obi Wan gets along with Mark Hamill while Iroh.... Does Not. Obes is a firebender because he knows how to control it. Also, if Anakin goes evil in this AU, y’all KNOW the Mustafar fight in this would have to be an Agni Kai. Speaking of, another firebender story Obi Wan matches is Roku (yes he’s the avatar but again, was born Fire) whose friendship fallout with Firelord Sozin is VERY similar to Obi Wan and Anakin’s mess, right down to someone’s wife dying because of their BS.

Padmé Amidala: Earth Kingdom. She also leads the Kyoshi Warriors cuz c’mon Pads and her royal handmaidens are basically MADE for that right down to the facepaint. She serves the Earth King, and is a diplomat between nations

Ahsoka Tano: Waterbender. Ooooooh I debated this for a while whether she should be water, air, or fire, but ultimately chose water cuz Ahsoka gives off big Korra vibes. She’s from the Southern Water Tribe, probably figured out bloodbending but flat out refuses, more of a fighter than a healer, WILL freeze your ass Elsa-style.

Qui Gon Jinn: Airbender. Yeah so no one wiped out the airbenders in this AU, he’s the go-with-the-flow type and has the same tendency to pick up weird animals. It was between air earth and water for him but I figured he was too stubborn for water and too idealistic for earth. Definitely uses his height to wield a big airending staff around and can knock like twenty ppl over at once. Figures out energybending but only to really make his plants grow xD

Satine Kryze: Water Tribe. Ooooooh y’all Satine was the one I had the most difficulty with because ugh basically ALL freaking Mandalorians are fiery hotheads and Satine the most fiery of them all so putting her as the nonbending pacifist leader of a bunch of firebenders is VERY tempting because that would make an interesting story. However, I ultimately chose Water Tribe, the Northern Water Tribe in particular because Satine feels a lot like Princess Yue. Very put-upon leader who’s facing enemies from the outside as well as arguments within her own advisors, just wants the best for her people, ultimately willing to die for her beliefs and her people when some asshole outsider comes in and attacks, traumatizes her boyfriend when she does die and the fandom tends to poke gentle fun at her boyfriend for it afterwards. Also, Bo Katan and her Nite Owls feel a lot like the water tribe wolf warriors to me.

Palpatine: Firebender/Earth King. Yes this makes sense because although Sidious HAS to be a firebender because lightningbending, he also has to be able to screw over Padmé and Anakin. So, he’s a firebender who manages to manipulate his way into the Earth Kingdom and take control of the throne and Ba Sing Se. May or may not still hold power in Fire Nation and talk them into invading everyone anyway or not, but he’s def evil.

Yoda: SWAMPBENDER. Bahaha ok so I know that the swampbenders all kinda fell under waterbender status, right? But yea waterbender would work really well for Yoda, but you KNOW he lives in the swamp as a cretin alllll the time in this AU and trolls everyone else and likes splashing them in the face. Yoda could also def be an airbender

Count Dooku: Earthbender. Dooku is solid, tall, works with the earth, and I think Form 2 kinda looks the most “grounded”, shall I say, of all the forms. Just the way he moves and his stubbornness definitely say earthbender to me, though he could also def be fire

Mace Windu: Firebender. The way in canon he’s all about self-control and knowing how to work with the darker side of you and the rage that’s there, yea, Mace would be a smokin’ (haha) firebender

Maul: Firebender (dammit there’s too many Fire Nation in this AU see this is another reason why I put Satine in water). Maul’s all about the fiery anger, again would really work well for a faceoff against fire!Obi Wan in this AU, Maul to me really looks like a tragic, worst-case scenario never-redeemed!Zuko. So basically Azula lol which ALSO works very well for the S7 Maul vs. water!Ahsoka fight echoing the final Azula and Katara fight

Ventress: Airbender. No, not just because she’s bald and has tats xD. Ventress would make very good use of the air glider AND the airbender ability to create a bubble around someone and suffocate them. (Airbenders can’t be pacifists in this AU otherwise the only people who could go there would be Satine and the Organas lol). She fights in almost a dancer, flying around sort a way that’s similar to what Aang does, and I could also see her whapping someone with an airstaff.

Jango Fett/Boba Fett/The clones: Earth/Fire. Ok so idk how clones would exist in this universe so I’m just gonna say Jango gets around and has a LOT of kids. Jango seems a lot like a down to earth get ‘er done kind of guy, he’s got the heavy hitting kind of play the Earth Kingdom likes. Boba would be much more of a Fire Nation emigrant. The clones I’d say are mostly Earth Kingdom in personality if I had to pick with a smidge of water and some fire of their own.

Bail Organa: Fire Nation. Bail is the one who lives in the Fire Nation and refuses to really play any way besides fairly. Also good for if he and Breha raise Leia because Reasons

Bonus! Hondo Ohnaka: Air Nomad. Hondo has no bending abilities, but he flies around on a flying bison named Melch and Causes Problems. He harasses Fire Nation blimps and Earth Kingdom trading routes and dive bombs the Water Tribe and is just the Horrible Goose of the ATLA!SW world.

I am a tall, curvy straight female with blonde hair and blue-green eyes.

I am introverted, intellectual, I have a bunch of interests and hobbies, which I tend to hyper fixate on. I am also a bit of a jack of all trades as I like to learn/teach myself how to do a wide variety of things.

I have a very idiosyncratic point of view, I'm bookish and very interested in history. I have a knack for accurately predicting the likelihood of the future. I tend to test people to see if I can trust them a lot but then I become a friend for life. Literally, a ride or die. I have hidden dimensions and intensity and they're hidden because I'm pretty withdrawn. Wanting to watch people from afar to see if I can even poke my head out of my shell around them.

I tend to act arrogant, cryptic, or cynical when afraid. I can be diplomatic and say things without saying them. I am defiant/rebellious towards authority and habitually find counterexamples to whatever others assert. Despite this attitude, I'm incredibly loyal, hardworking, ambitious, and very idealistic.

I struggle with ADHD, social anxiety, and paranoia. I can brood over injustices or entertain conspiracy theories. I am a bigger fan of sneaky vengeance over outright confrontation. I can be passive-aggressive and self-attacking. I love all animals though I never want to personally own a dog, due to how needy and loud they are. I'm more of a cat or reptile person.

I like to record my thoughts out loud and later organize them.

I'm also currently fighting the urge to delete this because I think I sound very full of myself in this lol

He would also come to you for advice though he wouldn’t always adhere it. Though what Klaus would love most of all is your loyalty. Especially after he made it through all your tests and found himself on the receiving end of your loyalty. And he would feel guilty when your loyalty and friendship with him would cause a rift in your relationship with his brother.

NOTP - Damon Salvatore. Damon is impulsive and has his own way of testing the loyalty of those around him. Though his form of testing is more of him doing things that makes them less loyal and trusting of him. He’d probably end up trying to test and strain your loyalty towards Elijah and Klaus. Before Zuko’s banishment, Tazu played the role of Fire Nation Royal Family disappointment. The firstborn of Prince Ozai should have been a powerful firebender, a boy worthy enough for the throne in his due time, not a weak little girl who, to add insult to injury, showed no proclivity for bending. Tazu spent her entire life in her siblings’ shadows, secluded from the rest of the world and reminded each day of her failings. When her brother is exiled and sent on an impossible mission to restore his honor, Tazu is sent away with him, forced to join Zuko’s fruitless search for an Avatar who had not been seen in a hundred years — until the royal siblings cross paths with the boy in the iceberg.
