Since your Lone Star answers were so great and IF you feel like it….what would you want to see for the original recipe characters?

OH BOY my initial reaction was that i might have less to say about 911 prime bc they actually get real character arcs (🙃)… but that was not the case lol

eddie is also easy i want him to have his arc about being a deeply closeted man figuring it out. comphet to having some more problems and issues to gay realization. eddie and marjan are holding hands in my minds eye. you were written gay you just don’t know it yet

hen i want to have more captain’s seat turmoil! i liked what they set up in 702 but it was resolved so quickly we didn’t really get a chance to explore it. maybe bobby is a little hurt after the cruise so we get a bit more captain hen? it’s an interesting dynamic for her, she wears it well but clearly doesn’t feel Completely at ease with it (“don’t call me cap”) so I’d love to see some breathing room around it to let it play out

ravi i swear to god if they don’t give me a ravi begins im going to do something drastic

chim I’d love to see have some conflict on the job! not with the crew but with a call or something. we see him having relationship insecurities etc bc of calls he goes on, but i feel like we haven’t seen him challenged by an emergency During that emergency in a while… idk what that means specifically but he’s an EXTREMELY competent paramedic and firefighter, i want to see what it would take to make him waver! also more girldad chim :)

maddie I want to see get to be silly!! i want to see all of that joy and happiness she EARNED by clawing her way through her own mind, and the rest of her life. I’d love to see her get to tell off her parents (a la “love me anyway”), I’d really like to see them unforgiven. i want her and Eddie to hang out also

buck breakdown era WHEN! i know the end of last season got a little ??? which i expect is because they didn’t know if they were getting picked back up again and wanted it to feel like A Conclusion just in case, but i want buck to have a full breakdown. death and spare parts and donor not dad and in case of emergency break glass guardian. i want him to finally lose it for real. he had his shut down era now i want him to boil over :) also more uncle buck and uncle albert!!

athena i want you to have to question your morals and beliefs and I want you to get to be less of a cop gjfhdhf her begins episode makes me so mad I think she should get another one where her oaths are confronted and she gets to let herself choose humanity over law

bobby… oh boy what could we wish for. i think I want them to bring back around the blood thing, where he got a reason to keep living (and maybe parallel it with buck or smth? give him a place to land?). even if it’s not a whole storyline i want to hear where he’s at about that now!! it’s been a long time since we’ve seen him like that, i want to see him revisit what that means after everything he’s built for himself here. I would also love to see buck and bobby acknowledge the father/son dynamic to each other! buck’s said it to TK and bobby said it to may and they’ve mentioned it in a dismissive way during a half reprimand but i want them to acknowledge it for real <3 maybe get a bobby defending buck and/or maddie to the buckley parents

misc: i STILL DESPERATELY want an all-kids episode where may has everyone’s kids at her apartment while the parents are at some kind of first responders and their spouses event and they have to scooby doo a mystery by themselves, please for the love of god i need them to talk about the will again before i explode, i want eddie and karen to hang out and be best friends, more josh and maddie, hen and buck should get drunk again, i would actually also love to see more of lucy!

Phased. Pt. 1

Vigilante Y/n + the Avengers

Author notes: this will be multi parts

Warnings: some cursing

Word count: 1610

(Art not mine, found on google, idk the artist)

You have the power of intangibility, also known as ghosting or other names. Simply put, you can phase through matter at will.

You've been a vigilante for the past few months and have caught the attention of the Avengers. Every night when you go out to stop some petty crime, you keep a watch out for anyone that might be part of their little search group for you.

They couldn't figure out what exactly your powers were. But that didn't matter, what mattered was figuring out who you were.

You see, your hero suit was pretty much just average clothing and a full face mask and gloves. (Imagine smth like this). The mask has a mouth and eye holes covered by dark mesh.

So it wasn't very easy to spot you among the crowd unless they were looking closely at everyone's faces, which still would be difficult considering it was the dead of night.

You spotted two people fighting and ran over to them.

"Hey! What's going on here?" You ask, your voice distorted by a voice changer in your mask.

The two look at you then smirk. One speaks into an ear piece, "Tony, we got 'em."

Shit. It was a trap. You were about to make a run for an alley nearby, but another person came out from there. Then you had FUCKING IRON MAN casually flying down in his suit.

On closer inspection, the two 'fighting' were Hawkeye and Captain America. The one who emerged from the alley was Black Widow.

"Take off the mask." Natasha said,

Pointing a gun at you.

You simply laugh at her, "Try me."

She shoots. It phases through you.

"Huh. Looks like you missed, what a shame."

They look at each other, confused. You take this chance to run off into the alley that Natasha came out of.

You hear footsteps behind you. You climb up a fire escape ladder and kick it out after you. You escape to the roof and take a moment to catch your breath.

Then, you hear someone land on the roof behind you. It was Iron Man.

You turn around.

"Take off the mask."

"Why?"

"To see who you are."

"Why?"

"Because you're breaking the law. You've hurt people."

"I only hurt people who hurt others. I'm like you guys, but for petty crime."

"Join our team then."

"Never."

"Now I'll ask you, why?"

"Like you said, what I do is illegal."

"What power do you have?"

"You're stalling. Im not that dumb. Au revoir, dear." With that, you jump down the side of the building. You jump from balcony to balcony until you make your way back to the ground.

You run off until you reach your home, or your base rather, leaving the Avengers unsuccessful again.

You return back to your base and are greeted by your two friends, Sylvie and Asher. (Both are ocs)

Sylvie goes by the vigilante name of Red. She has enhanced durability and pyrokinesis. Her hair is long, dyed red and she has brown eyes.

Asher goes by the vigilante name of Spark. He has energy manipulation. He has short, dark brown hair and green eyes.

"I really need to start bringing you two on patrol with me.." You sigh, taking off your mask and gloves.

"Why?" Asher asks, his voice monotone as usual.

"I swear was it those Avenger people again?" Sylvie adds, her voice just above the normal pitch of a girl her age.

"Yeah. They set a trap and I fell for it. Two of them were fake fighting so I went over to them, then frickin' iron man came and so did one of the assassins. Eventually they tried to shoot me which obviously didn't work, then i ran."

"Ugh! They're so annoying!" Sylvie says, rolling her eyes.

....

Now what were the Avengers doing? Well they were having a meeting. The topic; You.

"I dont get it," Tony started, "They were clearly shot.. But it's like it went right through them."

"Wait.." Natasha says, realizing something.

"Hm?"

"They were untouchable.. Intangibility."

"In-tag-na what now?" Peter asks, having been zoned out for the first half of the meeting that he was forced to go to.

"Intangibility. They can phase through matter."

"So none of us can hit them then?" Steve asks.

"Pretty much." Natasha sighs.

"No! Mr Stark can! The blasts from his suit are energy, not matter!"

Everyone in the meeting looks at him.

"You're onto something here, kid."

...

The next night you decide to bring Sylvie and Asher with you on patrol.

(Their suits! They also have matching masks)

"Sylv', Ash', just remember, if anyone looks like they might be an Avenger, duck your heads and act like we're talking or laughing about something."

"Righto!"

"M'kay."

Asher was less than excited about going on patrol and Sylvie was the complete opposite.

As you three walked the streets of New York you stopped some small things, a mugging, a kidnapping, things like that.

Suddenly, while in the middle of stopping a fight, some Avengers pull up.

Tony, Steve, and Peter.

"Well, well, well. Who do we have here. The one we've been looking for, plus some." Tony says, aiming his hand towards you to blast you.

"Dont make this harder than it has to be, Stark. Let me and my friends go. At least let my friends go, they have no place in this."

"No." Steve speaks up.

"Fine. You chose the hard way."

Tony shoots a blast at you.

"SPARK! NOW!"

And with that, Asher re-aims the blast back at Tony.

"Red, you aim for the spider boy, Spark, watch iron guy for blasts. I got 'em."

And with that, Sylvie throws some fireballs at Peter, burning him severely.

"Mr Stark-!" The kid calls out, in too much pain to keep fighting.

"Red. Stop, dont hurt him too bad."

Sylvie then starts aiming blasts at Steve.

While Steve is pre-occupied with those, you punch and kick him in the fave until he falls over.

"Aim for his chest, Spark!" You shout as Tony shoots another blast.

"Red, watch the kid, dont hurt him he's already weak enough."

And with that, Sylvie throws a fireball at Steve again, but Peter gets in the way and gets hit instead.

"SHIT-!" You run over to him, grabbing bandages you have in your pocket.

"Kid, I know we're on different sides of the battle, but you're way too hurt right now." You grab his arm and start bandaging it.

"GET AWAY FROM HIM!" Tony shouts, about to blast you.

"M-mr Stark... Its fine.. They're helping me..."

You finish bandaging his arm and sit him down against a building, "You stay right there alright? You dont need to get hurt anymore. We aren't going to target you."

You then rush back to the battle.

"Phase, what the hell was that!?" Asher shouts, "That thing isn't on our team!"

"It doesn't matter, he was hurt!"

After a lot more fighting, Asher successfully hits Tony in the chest and knocks him over.

"Guys! Lets go!" You shout as you start running back to your base.

Once back, you all take off your masks and head to bed.

3:39 a.m.

You are abruptly woken up by Sylvie screaming.

"Sylv'?! What's going on?!" You shout, seeing her in a state of panic.

"They took Asher! They took him! They just broke in and grabbed him! What do we do?!"

"Who? Who is 'they'?"

"Those people we fought like three months ago! The ones with the robots! They took Ash!"

"No no no! DAMNIT!" A few months ago, your group fought a group of robots. You couldn't defeat them, you mearly had to escape.

"What do we do, Y/n?!"

"I have an idea. You might not like it."

After a lot of convincing, Sylvie agreed to your plan of trying to get help from the Avengers. You'd have to wait for the next night to get their attention, so you hope Asher could hold out till then.

The day dragged on. Everything felt slower. You knew your friend was in danger, and you couldn't do anything about it. You didn't even know where he was!

Night finally rolled around and you went out to 'patrol', aka, get the attention of the Avengers and "accidentally" lead them back to your base.

And that's what happened. It wasn't hard to figure out when they were following you. Shadowy figures on top of roofs, dark shadows moving from alley to alley.

You and Sylvie walk back to your base and wait for the inevitable moment that only took about 5 minutes to happen; a knock on the door.

Unsurprisingly, you see Captain America, Spider man, Iron Man, Thor, and Black Widow.

Now to their shock, you just said, "We were expecting you." And let them inside. You take a breath, "Look, i know we haven't gotten along, but-"

"Where's the third one?" Steve speaks up.

"He isn't here." You sigh, "Part of this is about him."

You receive confused looks.

"As I was saying, i know we haven't gotten along, but our friend, who you know as Spark, was taken. Taken by a gang of robots that we unsuccessfully fought a few months back."

"Get to the point." Tony sighs.

"I was hoping you could help us find him."

Tony and Steve snicker to each other. "Why should we? You haven't helped us at all."

You take a breath, then decide to make either the smartest or dumbest decision ever. You take off your mask and reach out a hand,

"I'm Y/n L/n. Nice to meet you."

do you ever think c!dream was justified in anything he did, and do you think c!dream ever deserved sympathy? I hope this makes sense.

this is hard for me to answer im ngl... In relation to c!Tommy, absolutely not. No sympathy for him in that department. c!Dream is not c!Tommys responsibility. He had no idea that c!Dream was paranoid and lonely and ect, c!Tommy just did dumb chaotic things just like the rest of the server did, how was he supposed to know that c!Dream took that to heart. One of the worst things he did early on the server that no one else did was not give back peoples items after he killed people, but everything else he did was the same as others just with more loudness and swearing.

But in relation to other people like c!Dreams treatment in the prison was horrible, yes he did put himself in that place but he expected to get out after a month or smth. (Also i cant remember exactly but didnt he decide the conditions of the prison?...so he did that to himself? idk) Either way, I feel bad about that. Also, someone said to me once that 'exile broke both ctommy and cdream' cuz its kind of true, exile fueled c!Dreams further derailment and his further need for control, he saw his enemy weak and dependent on him and he felt that power and that seriously messed with him, it was already bad before that but it got worse then. Comparing it to pre-dream getting the revival book, if we take that whole 'tyrant' book he gave to c!Tommy as genuine feelings then its kind of sad that he broke like that and craved control and power out of his need to not be lonely anymore. He wasn't able to break out of that pattern of thinking. Ofc this isn't anyone elses fault, so him blaming c!Tommy is weird objectively but from his pov and feelings, it just kinda shows how broken he was to think that c!Tommy did ruin his life.

Imo the only three things that can be justified was when c!Sapnap and c!Tommy randomly killed him, the first war (dsmp vs l'manberg) and the time he dethroned c!George. I honestly can't think of anything else. Did he deserve sympathy? - I don't know. He didn't deserve all his friends to ditch him. And have sympathy for him during certain moments, but to say he deserved sympathy after doing horrible things would be eh. early dsmp - pogtopia!dream deserved sympathy as well as someone telling him "hey dude you're beefing with a teen thats obvi not as much of a threat as u think he is". exile!Dream and onwards not really but i wouldnt be against him having therapy and leaving ctommy tf alone

Firstly No pressure to read any of the below it’s just a lil rant after I ended up on the wrong side of tumblr!! ( + I have ADHD and i forgot my meds lol so its a bit disoriented and all over the place) and no response necessary unless you want to!

Oh god I accidentally ended up on the wrong side of tumblr....never ever ever ever again, I went back so fastttt lol im laughing at myself rn for how quickly i clicked away from disgust

i ended up on a blog that stalks u and some other larries and says absolutely atrocious things abt louis (I can send u their @ if u'd like so u can block them) and fully bought the stunt bs happening rn and it was horrible obvs but like i just do not understand like it was so creepy gina and im just so disgusted bc why? yk?

like u were not joking abt anti's actually being obsessed with larries - like half this person's blog was talking abt you and amy and i was just so shocked cause why??? like mate come on what the actual f? get a life please?? (im quite new so im like just now realising how insanely weird and obsessed these anti's are)

Also it was just an overall eye opener for multiple things:

Starting with that 1. the way 1DHQ and 1D Management managed to alienate larries actually worked and i like knew but truly doing a proper deep dive and seeing multiple blogs hate on larries and like obsessively stalk us was insane?? Like they truly believe everything they’re being fed???

Side Note: Lowkey feeling very lucky to have had the education i have because even before i even joined this fandom i believed partially none of the relationships in the news bc like i knew abt this industry and how it worked yk? i mean its logic? i have so many mates that arent even in the fandom that know i am in the fandom and texted me when the articles started rolling out calling it out for what it was: A PR stunt

Hell someone i know whom i had never even talked abt fandom stuff/stunt stuff fully texted me making a joke out of it!!! like people who aren’t even in our fandom can see it and its just insanely surprising that if they can why cant the antis?? im just a bit shocked rn

both from 1. finding someone who actually believes in this stunt and 2. multiple blogs that fully commit their time to stalking u and other larries and once again i knew but fully seeing it

YK AT FIRST I WAS LIKE IS THIS A JOKE I DIDNT BELIEVE IT GINA I THOUGHT SOMEONE WAS PULLING MY LEG OR THIS PERSON WAS IDK BEING SARCASTIC AND HAD A MESSED UP SENSE OF HUMOUR but ye anyway

It made me realise that 1DHQ knew what the fuck they were doing when they were trying to alienate larries from the rest of the fandom, once again i am feeling extraordinarily grateful to have grown up with an education where i was literally taught to never trust anything and to always think things thru using logic - “does it makes sense to you? if not find out why, there usually a reason behind everything” my yr 9 english teacher used to say smth like that all the time and it just never left me bc she was always teaching us to judge everything and to take every piece of news we read entertainment or otherwise with a grain of salt and to always if we’re gonna give someone else our opinion or spread this information do our research (its what i am when i say i feel lucky to have had the education i have had)

Eye Opener 2: Anti’s are fully standing y’all u were 100% correct this is some next level stan behaviour if i’ve ever seen some, you’re famous gina!!

It is while surprisingly to realise that anti’s fully believe these things, more surprising to see how they treat larries bc why on earth would u treat any other human being this way??? like dont get me wrong they’re horrible ppl and i fully felt like sending them a message telling them exactly that but i would never bc i just dont want to make another person feel bad abt themselves even if they are that shitty of a person and it was very tempting

I just would like to understand why they feel the need to do this? like why hate on a whole other person? for what believing smth diff to u? having a difference of opinion? how tf are they gonna make it when they get a job??? like??? do u know how often i run into a person with a different opinion then me? it shouldn’t be that big of a deal! we should still be able to be friends with antis! but we’re not - not for lack of trying btw!! they’re just so mean and rude??? when i was in other fandoms when someone believed different things there was never this much hatred at someone for it!! hell there was barely any bc it was understood that it was normal to have diff opinions abt things and i just am truly fascinated by these ppl i swear they remind how stupid the human race can sometimes be not for what they believe (altho ngl a lil of that too) but for how they treat other ACTUAL human beings with different opinions to them

Eye Opener 2.5: Some people need lives, man like they proper do need lives and something to do maybe a hobby or smth? just like a life they need to get one of those and actual live it

I have no excuses, i was too sad about haikyuu e wording but i have read threads on how to write characters on twitter and i am thriving... so n e ways i was looking for a reason to write more of these because i just... love the idea of this so tsym for requesting!! if i write more parts, i might do hoshiumi, hinata, atsumu, and... maybe oikawa? i’m a huge bokuto stan so his might be longer than kageyamas im sorry <3 and and ik that kageyama goes to italy but for the sake of i want to write other characters, i will be using the adlers oops. i will also be only doing probably two characters per post for these because i write so much for it. Honestly you were only against him taking her because you were still mad at him for leaving her in the high chair for a while and you came home to her crying and him just knocked out

He had brought Kaori into post game interviews before but you were always there so this would really be the first time he’d take care of her by himself for a period of time longer than an hour

“Ughh where is it,” Terushima grumbled to himself as he pulled open drawer after drawer. He had searched all the cabinets, all the tables, and just about every inch of his apartment but has yet to find his phone charger.

As he closed the second to last drawer on this shelf, which held no phone charger, he pulled out his phone and saw it had 1% battery remaining. Quickly, he unlocked it and went to his contacts. Before he could make a call though, the screen turned black and he was left staring at a faint reflection of himself.

“Damn it,” he cursed under his breath. “She’s gonna get upset again.”

He clutched the now dead phone in one hand and ran the other through his hair, sighing in exhaustion. Today had been tiring enough with work and now he had this to deal with.

There was still one more drawer he hadn’t checked though. So, he lifted his hand out of his hair and pulled it wide open.

In it sat a small box.

He knew of its contents the moment he laid eyes on it. He also knew opening it now would only make him feel worse, not to mention, it would definitely delay his plans.

But for some reason, a longing for nostalgia or maybe the person that brought such nostalgia, his arms unconsciously moved to take the box into his hands.

Your words echoed in the back of his mind as he traced his fingers along the edges of the box.

“It’ll be like our little time capsule. For us to open when we’re all old and wrinkly…”

A deep sigh escaped his lips.

Every rational thought that came into his head begged him not to open it, to put it back, to forget he even found it.

Instead, his fingers moved to lift the cover and lay it down on the floor beside him.

And there you were... a polaroid of you at least.

Your lips were curved in a sweet smile inviting him in and breaking his heart all over again. Up until now, he could barely recall what your face looked like when you were happy, truly happy. He could only remember the tears and regret you had on your face towards the end…

But seeing you like this again, the wideness of your smile, the crinkle of your eyes… you radiated a joy and happiness he had begun to forget in you.

He stared at the picture for a good minute before turning it around to see the familiar strokes of your handwriting.

‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!’ and under it ‘(first pic taken with the polaroid my baby Yuuji got for me<3)’

“My baby Yuuji,” he whispered.

“Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you,” he sang softly into your ear as he held you from behind, swaying gently in tune.

“Happy birthday dear Y/n.. Happy birthday to you~”

You turned to kiss the blond and he pulled you even closer to him.

“I love you babe, happy birthday...”

The tiredness he had felt just moments ago seemed to have fluttered away when he found you again in the polaroids, and a longing burst from the depths as he put the picture down and picked up another one, his hands once again moving on their own will.

This one had the two of you standing together, backs facing the camera. It was taken at a beach when the sun was still high in the sky and the water glistened blue. But it wasn’t the scenery that appealed to him, nor was it the way the sun wrapped around you two in perfect golden light.

It was how close you were to him. The physical distance between you two was barely existent. Your arms were wrapped around his waist and his were draped over your shoulders.

‘Sea breeze, cute outfit, sand between my toes, and 1 Terushima Yuuji… Damn was today great.’

How he would give to be that close to you again.

“Ok 3, 2, 1…”

You clung on to him as tight as you could and he smiled, pulling you closer.

At the sound of the camera click and the hum of the photo being printed, you let go and quickly turned around to thank the woman for taking the picture.

When you did that he felt off; as if a part of his body was just yanked away. It wasn’t an extreme feeling, nor was it painful in any way. It was more just a lingering emptiness that was put to rest a few seconds later when you were back by his side again.

He put his arm back on your shoulder and peered down at the polaroid in your hand. You were staring at the photo patiently waiting for the colors to fade in. And when it finally did, you smiled satisfactorily at it before tucking it away and flashing another smile to the man right next to you.

Terushima closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and tried to clear his mind. It’s been years, he shouldn’t be dwelling on the past like this.

And yet, there was comfort in the pain the memories brought.

When he opened his eyes, they landed on yet another photo of you. And as he has been for a good part of his life, he was drawn to you. Reaching out a hand, he picked it up and let the memories wash over him once more.

After a while, he set it down and picked up another. And another. And another. Each capturing a moment with you he would never get back.

It’s been years since he’s had to learn to live without you. Truthfully though, he never did learn how. The sun became a little dimmer, the rain a little harder, the breeze a little less refreshing. The world lost its vibrancy when he lost you. He adapted, got used to the dullness, but he couldn’t learn to live the same anymore...

He picked up another polaroid.

This one didn’t have either of your faces on it. It just showed the two of you holding hands against a dark background.

The bottom held no words but instead an arrow pointing to the right. Terushima turned the polaroid and saw a small envelope attached to the back. Curious, he opened it up and pulled out the piece of paper snuggled inside.

‘This one’s a bit longer than any other note I’ve written for a polaroid but… I kinda just realized smth really important. He drove me out at 3AM in the morning to get food because I said I was hungry. Then we sat in his car listening to some old mixtapes he had. They were pretty crappy but it didn’t matter. I love Terushima Yuuji. I’ve said it a million times before but last night it really hit me, hard. I love him in a way I’d never be able to love anyone else.

I want to go on more dates with him. more stupid dates, more romantic ones, more 3AM dates, more cuddle dates. And even though it might be selfish of me, I want to spend my every breathing minute with him.

If I can’t have anything else in this then I just want these golden days of ours to last forever..’

And before he realized it, tears were rolling down his cheeks. Fuck it all. He missed you. He missed the days you had together, the nights spent in each others’ arms. He missed you so much it tore a hole in his heart and all he could see when he looked at the sunlight drifting through the window was just darkness.

It pained him to know that everything you wanted was all he ever needed. It pained him that he hadn’t realized this until it was too late. And it pained him most that you were never coming back.

Why’d you have to leave?

He tried so hard to stop asking this question, and for a while, he was successful. But the polaroids, your handwriting, the memories, you.. there was just so much pain in the happiness of the past.

But you were gone. He had accepted that long ago.

“Terushima, you in here?” a familiar voice called from outside.

Right, he forgot about Misaki. Wiping any tears left on his face, he put all the polaroids back in the box, covered the lid, and left the room.

“DADDY!!” a little girl yelled, running at him full speed. He bent down and lifted her into his arms effortlessly.

“Oh you’ve gotten heavier. How much has Misaki been feeding you huh?” he teased.

The little girl pouted as she pointed to the floor signaling she wanted to be put down. Terushima chuckled and did so.

Walking over to a slightly annoyed-looking Misaki, he muttered an apology for not going to pick her up and a thanks for taking care of his daughter.

“Hey wait, you look like you’ve been crying… Are you ok Teru?” she asked, eyes showing her concern.

He let out a deep sigh.

“I uh- I found a box with some old pictures of Y/n and I just-”

She put a hand on his shoulder and squeezed it reassuringly.

“Look, I know you miss her and I know you know this, but don’t get too stuck in the past. Focus on what you have now,” she said looking in the direction of the young girl who had made her way over to the small pile of stuffed animals on the couch.

He rubbed his face and nodded, “Yeah. Yeah, thank you Misaki.”

“Ok,” she replied with a sympathetic smile. “I’ll be going then.”

Terushima nodded again and after she said bye to his daughter, he walked her to the door.

Turning back he leaned on the wall and looked affectionately at the girl playing on his couch. She was still so young, but it’s been almost 5 years now that he’s taken care of her.

Time seemed to fly by with her and yet it felt like so long ago he welcomed her to the world.

He understood now the past and its memories were something to be treasured. It was not something to cling on tightly though. The golden days of the past are gone, but the glittering rays that coated the floor and walls of his living room tell him it’s a new age.

It was an age he had to cherish well.

Deciding to do something he’s been putting off, he walked back into his room and brought out the box with all its polaroids and memories.

“Yui, come here. I want to show you something.”

She stared at him before taking one frayed teddy bear into her hands and walking over to her father. Taking his outreached hand, she looked at the box he held in his other.

Sitting at the top of the pile was a photo of a beautiful woman. The sun was shining bright in the background and the light swirled around her as if she was wrapped in a golden halo.

“Is she an angel?” Yui asked innocently, pointing to the picture.

“You got that right,” he replied with a sad smile. “She’s the most beautiful angel out there..”

He watched as the young girl picked up the photo, seemingly mesmerized.

“That angel is your mom.”

“My mom?” she echoed. “Mommy is an angel?”

He smiled and ruffled her hair, “She sure is, and you know what? She’s looking out for us from heaven, so you better be a good girl for her, okay?”

well i just talked a little bit more regarding Splitting Images here so lets go with… ya know what lets go with "My Brother's Keeper"! (though not sure if adore is gonna be the right word to use for this episode oops)

alright so if i go with the idea of making Spectra a more korean inspired ghost shed have traces of gumiho with her (not entirely but some things would allude towards that)

so not only is she after their… what was it their positivity she was sucking out of them or smth like that, but once theyve given all they can shes just gonna fuckin eat their livers, everything else can go to bertrand

bertrand turns into a wolf a lot of the time but here he would turn into a tiger (courtesy of my mom who told me that a legend she was told as a kid was if she didn't stop crying then a tiger would come and eat her. fun!) danny would have also been told this so hes legitmately afraid of both betrand and spectra

we would get to see more of MBK behind the scenes like at dannys home life and how hes dealing with everything spectra has been telling him (jazz thinking hes a loser, his general attitude just being much more depressed)

jazz tries to reach out to him and he snaps at her the lights flicker and the temperature drops, his eyes turn green for a second and he quickly excuses himself and jazz is left wondering what the hell just happened

cue jazz… hovering over him more than usual and this leads to more stress that dannys under ("damn can i not get a moment to myself?! you wanna follow me into the bathroom too jazz?!") he can't even slip away to go ghost when betrand attacks more times… until he goes after jazz

and I've said it a few times already but hes got a new form in this au! >:3c and it very briefly manifests here. betrand goes after jazz in tiger form and danny tackles him off of her and beats on the guy until hes a pile of goop that can barely phase through the floor to get away from him

danny comes back to himself and is. understandably terrified about what just happened. jazz goes to approach him and he just flies away. he talks to tucker and sam and they both calm him down spend the day chilling at sam's watching terrible horror movies

next day is the day jazz is supposed to give her speech and when he finds out spectras plot after tucker and sam go to her session, he has to work… very hard to keep his anger in check.

the fight between betrand and happens danny sucks him into the thermos (still very unimpressed "seriously i was scared of you? im korean not japanese.")

danny saves jazz from the "sparklers" and spectra taunts him, calls him "creepy little boy with creepy little powers, you're a freak that ghosts and humans alike will never accept!"

jazz comes in, not with the fenton peeler (she knows phantom is danny at this point and shes not sure how the peeler would work on danny, doesnt really wanna take any chances) but smth along the lines thats supposed to work as a samjokgu, it just gets spectra off of danny and immobilizes her for a little bit

jazz goes to comfort danny ( :c intrusive thoughts are… not fun.) but spectra retaliates and does in fact manage to injure jazz (nothing extreme but she'll have bandages on her arm for a while) and… well danny goes full on apeshit

jazz is terrified for .5 seconds before going "this is my brother and he needs help." and gets spectra sucked into the thermos but danny is still VERY much on edge, though with the immediate threat gone hes not as volatile as he was

its very tense and jazz slowly goes over to him, talks very softly to him in korean and soon danny calms down and just. breaks down in her arms ("I'm sorry I'm sorry i don't know what happened, i don't know whats going on, that wasnt me i swear please don't be scared of me")

tucker and sam stop lancer from bringing jazz back to the stage ("mr lancer please… danny really needs jazz right now")

unfortunately this version of MBK wouldnt end on such a happy note as the show… danny has… a lot to process. but sam tuck and jazz are there to help and support in any way they can

there would be an "episode" or two between this and whatever the next one is, which would have danny just learning better habits in how to manage the amount of stress hes under, try to think of safe ways to let off steam and he needs to get comfortable being in ghost form again

holy shit this got so long. some of it may change (the fenton peeler wouldnt be used with spectra being gumiho inspired so itd need another episode for that). i lost my train of thought a couple of times while i was writing this, ill have to think about what spectra and bertrand would look like but ill think about that later

hi chloe im trying to take a break from weed after like 5 years bc i cant afford it anymore and its not good for me and everything feels so hopeless i miss her!!!! idk what to do

ahhhh im proud of you for doing this!! i know it's not easy at ALL especially in the beginning cuz ur brain needs time to adjust and rebalance. it's a bit like getting reacquainted with reality so it makes a lot of sense that things feel hopeless rn. but its pretty much guaranteed that with time, the intensity of that feeling will lessen as you get used to being sober. its ok to miss it while still logically recognising that you don't need it. when i was a teenager and i used to smoke all the time, whenever i couldn't get it for a while my mood would be all over the place for a few days. and i'd have to find a place to redirect that energy to, sometimes that just looked like crying in bed LOL other times i would blast music, take really hot showers, exercise, practice smth i enjoy like art or music etc. now i do the same when i cant drink - anything to keep my mind busy. anything to get you through this initial emotional turbulence. your health nd bank account r going to thank you for it, i swear lol. maybe you could write a list ab the reasons you want to commit to this to ground yourself with. i also wanna encourage you to talk to your friends/family or whoever you trust about it if you really start to struggle, because having that support - even just one person - can make a big difference. im rooting for you! hugs x

- i actually liked drew. im so sorry to everyone who hates her but full offence, why. think about it this way ok, first of all drew became hc because silena died. silena was the traitor, the one who betrayed chb, yet after she died campers celebrated her as a hero? and then drew suddenly has to replace her and live up to idk that legacy she left behind,, when all of a sudden this girl named piper swoops in and takes her place. idk abt u but i wld be salty abt that too. not only that, but as an asian, the chances of drew having faced racism/bullying as a child is pretty high (she studies at brooklyn academy). which means that when she finds out shes a demigod, and arrives at chb where most of the campers are white (this is an assumption btw), she’d obviously be scared of being bullied for her skin color right?? so the first thing she wld do before the campers get to bully her is to bully them before they can do so. (sentence structure here is wack i apologize) ofc this might not even have happened, drew could have had a perfect childhood && was a b1tch for no reason, BUT EVEN THEN HER ROLE AS A BULLY WAS PRETTY VITAL BECAUSE THAT FURTHER SHOWED THE CONTRAST BETWEEN HER AND PIPER,, HIGHLIGHTING PIPER AS A HERO//GOOD CHARACTER,, AND THEREFORE MAKING READERS LIKE PIPER MORE. anyway stop hating on drew please. AND THEN GREEK DEMIGODS COME TO CJ AND ONE OF THEM BOMB IT UP?? octavian has been told all his life that greeks are scum and this dude called leo valdez attacks cj. sure it was an accident, but did octavian know that? no. so it was honestly justified that he was such a salty prick im just saying. also some of yall be hating on octavian for cutting a teddy bear open and thats the funniest shit ive ever heard i swear

- luke didnt go to elysium

- travis and connor stoll r way too underrated. the two have been head counselors of the hermes cabin since luke was revealed as a traitor, can u imagine the stress? luke, the person they probably looked up to as a brother, betrayed them. and they didnt even have time to process this when they were thrown the roles of being hcs. that would have been so stressful and i would probably have broken down if i were them. the stoll brothers taking turns to wake up at ungodly hours because a new camper is crying and homesick and terrified, the stoll brothers having to comfort and take care of new campers, having to deal with the amount of people in that cramped space because not enough campers are being claimed fast enough. having to resolve issues between campers in the hermes cabin all the time. the stolls arent just comedic relief, and we need to stop treating them as such

- tratie shldve been canon idc idc

- demigods of the demeter cabin arent talked about enough and i love the fact that meg was demeters kid. like she isnt the child of one of the big three yet shes so powerful.

- we need to hype clarisse up more her character arc was phucking amazing

- rachel is overhated. sis found out greek gods exist and regularly come down to earth to fuck around and went “ok cool”. queen shit behavior methinks

- the floor 19 crew of mcga is srsly underrated. like do u even remember halfborn gunderson, mallory keen, tj, etc??? bc i feel like we only remember samirah, magnus, alex, and sometimes blitz and hearthstone

- sadie (tkc) was kinda annoying at first. i like her more now tho but i rmb not liking her for a phat while

- tkc and mcga need more love

- carter kane and jason grace arent boring. theyre just really sweet boys who are too good for this world and yes yes yes

- hazel and frank (especially frank) need to be hyped up more. i hardly ever see anything about them. also yall seem to forget that frank was literally made praetor and that even hecate admired hazel and was willing to fight beside her because of how powerful she was

- frazels age gap is kinda sketch but i still think theyre really cute

- nico definitely had trauma from going to tartarus on his own

- GROVER IS PERCYS BEST FRIEND

- annabeth isnt smarter than leo but neither is leo smarter than annabeth. ive seen a lot of discussions about who is smarter and heres my hot take on it: neither. theyre equally smart, just in different ways. leos a genius mathematically speaking. he has no issues solving math problems meant for people much, much older than him. annabeth on the otherhand, is great at strategies etc. she can make an army of 1000 more powerful than the enemy, even if theyre outnumbered. so in my opinion, both are equally as smart//u cant compare their intelligence, because their talents lie in two different areas.

- while i do agree rick riordan isnt a god and that hes bound to make mistakes,, AND that hes given us a lot of representation,, if the representation offends the people its sposed to represent, then theres a problem. im talking about piper as a poc and wearing feathers in her hair. im not a poc, so i cant speak for them on whether or not its wrong, because i dont know either. HOWEVER, i have seen multiple posts BY pocs talking about how they didnt really like rick’s representation of piper, and thats an issue. pocs have been and are still oppressed and discriminated against by many. as a white cis man, we cant really blame him for not knowing (tho he could have done a research,, asked some pocs,, idk), but by representing pocs in that manner, hes influencing impressionable kids/teens into thinking “oh pocs wear feathers in their hair all the time” etc, which isnt true. the pjo/hoo series is extremely successful, and kids who read the books will probably start forming inaccurate opinions on pocs. the amount of fan art that depicts piper with feathers in her hair dont help either. “but rick said so in the books, so its canon” yeah well rick isnt a god and he can get some things wrong at times. im not saying we should cancel him, im saying we should start educating ourselves and not spread false info like pocs wearing feathers in their hair all the time. also that snake song shit where she sang Summertime was just- yeah. bc heres the thing you can be racist, and still include minorities, but portray them in a racist way. And even then, ignorance isn't a thing to admire. Getting those facts wrong still has a major impact. It continues to perpetuate racist stereotypes.

- the fact that most of the strong female characters in the series refuse to be “girly”, and ngl i dont really like that. just because ure girly doesnt mean u cant be strong.

- piper would have been a great way for him to start making the strong characters act girlier, but instead he went with the “I’m not like other girls” trope which is quite obnoxious to hear constantly, and I don’t think it’s necessarily great for younger girls to read that idea growing up. the closest we've ever had to a strong female character who was also into "girly" things was Silena. when I was younger I admired Piper's "I'm not like other girls" thing, but then I got older and realized that the whole mentality of "not like other girls" is super obnoxious, and a little bit toxic

It was 8.30 in the morning and you woke up because of a text. You groaned but as you noticed it was from JJ, you smiled. But when you realize you’re smiling you immediately stopped. No pogue on pogue macking Y/N he doesn’t even like you You thought to yourself.

JJ: wake up sleepy princess we’re coming to get you in 30

Y/N: okay dumbass thanks for the reminder

You quickly took a shower, packed some food into your bag, just like Kie does, since you guys were the ones who were getting food supplies to the gang. You looked at the time, it was 9.1, still no notification from anyone. You knew you were the last person to get into the boat, but you still got worried.

As you patiently waited outside, petting your dog, you heard a similar voice shouting your name.

“Y/N, the best Pogue on the Earth, mademoiselle” JJ bowed his head and offered his hand. HMS Pogue and the gang were getting closer to you.

“Hi JJ!” You accept his offer, took him by the hand, hugged him and get into the boat. As soon as you greeted everyone, you sat down by JJ. He smiled at your actions.

“So, what took you guys so long?” You asked everyone while John B calmly, driving the boat.

“Pope’s dad asked us to deliver some stuff and we couldn’t say no. We have plenty of time and if we split the stuff, we thought it would end fast.” JJ explained to you.

“Yeah it’s not gonna take long, besides it’ll be some kind of exercise” Kie smiled at you, then stealing glances at Pope. Ah these lovers.

“That’s cool, I’d love to help” you said genuinely. JJ smiled at how genuine you were, sitting closer to you. You and JJ started to talk about normal stuff. He asked you how was your job at the Surf Shop, you asked him how he was feeling. You knew about his dad and you were so worried about JJ. Despite all of your worries, JJ reassured you that he’s completely fine and if something happens he’ll directly come to you. You just grinned and mumbled an “whatever you say JJ”

When you were enjoying JJ’s company by your side, you saw Pope and Kie cuddling and enjoying each other presence. JJ whispered,

“Isn’t it obvious they like each other?” He giggled.

“Yeah and it melts my heart” You giggled back looking at him. You both wished you guys could be like that. After all the peaceful moments, John B made an announcement.

“You four lovebirds, stop making me feel like a fifth wheel, I’ll have Sarah soon so you can cry, but anyways so here’s Figure 8, it’s our stop for today. Let’s go.” John B gave everyone supplies and a place to go. Before you leave, JJ came beside you.

“You sure you wanna go alone? We can go together?” He asked worried because he hated Kooks, especially Rafe and Topper. They hate each other and if they do something to you JJ would almost kill them.

“Yeah don’t worry, and besides I’m going to Mrs. Brown, her place is the closest from here.” You cupped and kissed his cheek, smiled. Then you left before he could say something. JJ just stayed there, trying to process what’s going on.

“Just date already, duh” John B said behind JJ.

“What are you talking about?” JJ said quickly turning his back to John B.

“Isn’t it obvious that you guys like each other? Like seriously if i was someone outside, I would literally think you guys were a couple.” John B said minding his own business and encouraging his best friend.

“You should confess her, there’s no way she would say ‘Oh JJ I don’t feel the same’ ” John B said with the impression of your voice.

JJ just stared at him for a second, got the things he need to deliver and left before they could talk.

“Listen to my advice JJ!” John B shouted behind his back.

“Whatever you say Johnny Boy” JJ muttered himself. On the way, he thought if you liked him back. JJ she kissed you But that doesn’t mean she likes me arghh JJ thought to himself.

Thankfully, any Kooks were there in JJ’s sight. He peacefully delivered the stuff Mr. Heyward gave and a bonus, he got 40 dollar tip. He thought about buying you a flower with this money because he wanted you to be happy.

You on the other hand while walking to Mrs. Brown’s house, you were peacefully walking and admiring the nature. You were thinking about JJ mostly. He’s so cute, Y/N STOP, he doesn’t like you back, what if your friendship would ruin because you kissed him? You panicked but your thoughts were interrupted when you heard a few guys and girls screaming your name.

“Wait isn’t that Y/N, JJ’s girl?” Rafe smirked.

“It looks like it” Topper with his devilish grin.

They slowly walked closer to you.

“Topper, Rafe stop, please just let me go.” You pleaded horror filling in your eyes.

“Don’t worry princess, we don’t live in a fairytale, so your prince JJ is not gonna save you.” Rafe mocked JJ, with the word “princess”.

And without a minute, they started to punch you from everywhere, some girls also joined. They continued to punch you, hurt you, but you didn’t understand why they would do such thing when you literally did nothing to them.

On the HMS Pogue, everyone was there, waiting for you. The gang was getting worried because Mrs. Brown’s house was the closest of them all. JJ was getting worried the most.

“I need to go find her.” JJ said worried, while couldn’t help but thinking the worst case scenario.

“I’ll come with you.” Kie said ensure of herself. You were like a sister to her.

“Of course we’re coming too.” John B said, speaking for both Pope and himself.

JJ smiled at their friends - family not leaving his back.

When they were walking they heard people shouting “HIT HER HIT HER!” constantly. They wondered whats going on so they went there.

When the gang saw a familiar person getting beating up, they ran faster. And then they realized you were the person who was getting beaten up.

JJ realized this first and literally the second he realized he punched Rafe fastest as possible. He started to punch her. Slowly then the gang joined you. Kie got the girls, John B got Topper, Pope went to Kelce and JJ went to Rafe. You were already fainted but they kept fighting. When Rafe got beaten up really bad, and JJ was choking him, the gang stopped him because he was almost killed him.

After Rafe got hurt really bad, the kooks left the place. They shouted “FUCK YOU ASSHOLES DON’T MESS WITH THE POGUES AGAIN!” and ran to you.

You were laying down the ground not moving at all. JJ picked you up bridal style and ran to HMS Pogue to take care of you with medical supplies.

You were so hurt, your face covered with blood. However, JJ was the same. He was so furious. He could have protected you in the first place. In the boat, you were still not opening your eyes, laying in the arms of JJ. The gang was pretty sad about you. JJ was almost crying and the gang could do nothing but hug him.

After a few minutes of emotional moments, you started to open your eyes and see four people bruised, puffy eyed hugging on you.

“Guys?” you mumbled. JJ looked at you in shock, hugged you so fast and started sobbing.

“Y/N, you scared the shit out of me. You’re alive. You’re really alive.” He said like thousand times. You just smiled at how worried he was. He looked extremely cute.

Kie noticed a special moment between you two. She nudged John B and Pope so they could understand.

“We’ll deliver this package to Mrs. Brown” Pope said. But you and JJ were too busy admiring each other to care. There was a short period of awkward silence but JJ decided to break the silence and let his feelings go. He remembered what John B told him before.

“Y/N?” He asked while you were still leaning on his lap bridal style.

“Yeah?” You looked up to him.

“I have something to tell you, and I hope you won’t get mad at me.” JJ said gulping.

You stood up to show him that you’re listening carefully.

“Argh okay, so umm” He couldn’t speak “I like you Y/N, so much and you were getting beaten up by Rafe, just made me almost kill him. I don’t know what you’re doing to me but you do.” You just stared at him, at a loss for words. JJ noticed your shock, and started to panic.

“I know you didn’t feel the s-” He was interrupted by your blooded lips, kissing his passionately.

The kiss was long, it was full of admiration and it was a way to show JJ you liked him back.

When you pulled away, you couldn’t help but laugh. “Does this explain a lot Mr. Protector?” you asked. JJ smiled at your goofiness and kissed you again. This kiss wasn’t long as the last one but it was good as it was because they’re JJ’s lips come on!!

“So are you my boyfriend now?” You asked looking at him smiling.

“Yeah, you’re my girl. No one can hurt you, I’m here now” JJ said holding you close.

“YES FINALLY!” Pope shouted from the harbour.

“GO GO GO!” Kie shouted.

“You were talking about me giving the d, JJ right? Now it’s your turn bro”

Aight first off tw swearing n smoking bc im really mad about this but I've literally no one else to go to about this who knows about ADHD who I also won't bother so uhhhhh....... I'm so mad at psychiatrists who deny every symptom of adhd that I have just because I've sat still for 15 minutes EVEN IF I WAS FIDGETING IN FRONT OF HER THE WHOLE TIME (yeah so I have ADHD-C and I refuse to believe otherwise, also, afab so.. ) and say I just have depression like..... Bitch I have hope, my body just refuses to do the things I want to do just bc they have to be done sitting still and writing for hours. And then tell me the diagnosis would change a thing and ugh yes it does???? I get access to stimulants I really fucking need??????? I hate smoking and drinking 5 cups of coffee every day just to get that small dose of simulation to focus on classes, I don't want to mess up my body... But I'm out of things to do since none of the coping mechanisms or whatever don't work anymore, not even listening to music or taking breaks... My brain has figured it out and idk what to do anymore, the doctors here are just idiots. I barely got access to therapy two years ago bc laws saying I can't get help if the birth giver (also high trauma giver) denies it and now I get hit with "oh you just have a little bit of depression" FROM PROFESSIONALS... Idk im lost... Guess gotta start buying stimulants from kids illegally like every other afab adult in this country sigh... And smoke until my asthmatic lungs give out. The pandemic came, why didn't it give us possibilities to get diagnosed over video chats or smth. Oh yeah also I did call therapy while we were stuck at home and I got a small test done then that confirmed the possibility for diagnosis and got told I can get diagnosed professionally/fully when we can go in again but when I did, I got denied the possibility to even do the testing. I just... Idk where to go anymore I hate failing schools since I really love learning... And for final, I've had countless therapists but none of them last over 8-10 months, either leave or otherwise stop working with me so that's fantastic, can't even get trauma therapy..... Sorry this is long haha... Thank you for this opportunity though.

Wow, I’m so sorry that’s happened! That sounds absolutely infuriating - I hate it when doctors refuse to listen to their patients. I really hope that things get better for you!

Hi I like music and I kind of go wayyy too deep into the TPN soundtrack and I think it's about time I start throwing my thoughts out there before they spiral too much

Disclaimer!!! This is not a complete analysis at all, just a few thoughts on each of the songs. I'll probably revisit some of them in future parts if I ever do those aha anyways enjoy

(Part 1/?): 63194, Emma's Sorrow, Emma's Determination, 22194, Norman's Lament, The Promise Between Humans and Demons, Jailbreak and Isabella's Lullaby.

63194 (Season 1)

Wouldn't have started with this one cuz I'm still figuring it out but it was the first one that came up when I pressed shuffle

Let's just go straight to the point so we can move on. The first time we hear 63194 is in episode 2, when Norman is talking to Ray about their plan in the forest (or, as I like to call it, "boat scene"). It reaches its climax when Norman starts talking about how he'll use himself to ensure the escape plan will work.

And then it's only used again in episode 8, if I'm not mistaken, after Isabella tells them about Norman's shipment, thus foreshadowing him refusing to escape and using his "death" as a tool to help the others escape.

But alsooo the song is Emma's theme, so there's definitely some sort of meaning other than foreshadowing Norman's shipment. That's for later though cuz I'll have to think more. The beginning does sound a lot like Strauss' Metamorphosen, a piece symbolising how German culture was destroyed during WW2. Not sure what to do with that info for now.

If you'd like a little extra stuff, I also tried connecting the pieces to the Doctrine of Affections, a... thing some Baroque composers wrote that connected music keys to feelings. (I found many sources but I used this one).

63194 is in C Minor, which is described as "innocently sad" (although another source said "sweet but sad") and "lovesick." I think innocence really describes Emma, Ray, and Norman in general, as kids who never did anything wrong but were thrown into the wrong world. Innocently sad would be their conversations in boat scene. They're talking about life or death, it's not something kids should have to deal with.

But again, it's hopeful. Norman wants to create a boat made out of mud---he wants to save everyone---and he really believes it'll work. So although sad, it's also sweet. It's a light at the end of the tunnel, and also just an act of kindness. As for "lovesick," that would just describe Ray and Emma's inevitable longing for Norman after he was gone. Which brings us to...

Emma's Sorrow (エマの悲しみ) (Season 1)

The two times I remember Emma's Sorrow played was 1) When they first talked to Don and Gilda about the house and 2) During the infirmary flashback scene.

The Doctrine of Affections describes E Minor as "grief and longing." In the infirmary flashback scene that obviously not only shows how Norman longs for that time when they didn't know anything and everything was light and happy but also, once again, foreshadows Emma eventually having to grieve him.

Especially because they don't play the staccato part (short quick notes) that's in the original version. Instead, the strings are always present. In staccato, the music gets pretty,,, lowkey? because the instruments can't exactly "show off," whereas the legato (long/connected notes) really shows the true importance and impact each individual instrument has on the song. Considering how the strings (specifically the violins) in the soundtrack could symbolise Norman, it's showing how Norman is not just another guy who's in their group and planning the escape, but an actual friend they'll lose and who'll leave a significant emptiness behind. Not only brain power wise, but just.. you know he's a human being and it's gonna hurt either way.

Not only that, but the harmonies itself in Emma's Sorrow once the strings really do come in are really incomplete. Like, the piano part seems to be all over the place, but it comes together because of the strings. Norman was the one who brought Emma and Ray together, in a way, and isn't Emma and Ray clashing exactly what Shirai wanted when he sent Norman away? Yea...

And Emma's Sorrow is, of course, parallel to:

Emma's Determination (エマの決定) (Season 1)

Yea no I'm still gathering thoughts on that one. The ascending bass contrasting the descending bass in Emma's Sorrow is pretty cool, though. It plays when Don is going off about how he wants to be strong after punching Ray and Norman and it's in F# Minor, so "passionate resentment." Connect both and Don really is ready to change the world. He got slapped with this very very bad reality and naturally he's angry and he's sad and he wants to do anything in his power to save people.

But back to Norman.

(hi future me here. oh my god why am i only talking about norman this was not the route this was originally going to take im so sorry i swear there's more to this post than just norman brain rot 22194 is the last norman one)

22194 (Season 1) and Norman's Lament (ノーマンの嘆き) (Season 2)

22194 is in B Minor, so "patience" and "walking towards fate." That's pretty self explanatory considering how he, and I quote, "chose death." Yea. G Minor would be "uneasiness of the future," and once again, pretty self explanatory (The whole Lambda seizures thing and I'm The Only One Who Can Save The Humans Syndrome. Normy worries too much :/)

Comparing both is pretty fun, too. It's the same melody but in different keys and instruments and thus just give off different feelings. While 22194 is full of instruments and harmonies and is clearly structured, Norman's Lament is just. Empty. It's like it's trying to stay true to 22194, so the Norman from before, but at the end of every musical sentence it just drifts off. You can see parts of 22194 in there, but it's not the same. At all.

There's also no harmony. He wants to do everything himself, and discards all his bonds and friends for that. So sad. Stop him.

All that while 22194 is rich and beautiful and oh my god i love that song so much and it's just showing how Norman was a lot more lively and layered and human when he allowed people to come into his life (the harmonies) and listened to those people instead of just locking himself up and doing everything himself.

So in conclusion cuz I ramble a lot, 22194 is about GF Norman, who hadn't gone through all those things that turned him "evil," who trusted his friends and believed everything had a good, ethic solution. Norman's Lament is about Lambda/post-Lambda Norman, who had gone through a whole lot, and was now in a downwards spiral and had left everything behind to become God or whatever, but was also in denial that he had changed in the first place.

does this make sense no idea i'm typing this while sleep deprived and high on bread and i failed english this quarter

but that aside

The Promise Between Humans and Demons (人間と鬼の約束)(Season 2)

I love this song!!!!!! So much!!!!!!!!! I love the percussion, it's used so well. And I love the way the song builds up and adds more and more instruments until it eventually reaches a climax, like the growing tension between the humans and the demons during the war that snowballed and snowballed and eventually caused both sides to resort to the Promise.

And when the song comes down you can hear a very short "first draft" ish version of Isabella's Lullaby.

It's as if yes, all this mess went down and the demons and humans made this huge promise that completely changed the world and affected an entire society but then far far away from the Seven Walls and the Promise and oblivious of the Ratri Clan and the demons were these two tiny tiny children just singing a song and living happily. And those children---and that song---were the foundation for the entire revolution that ended with the Promise. Wow.

And it's in D Major, D Major is "Triumphant." The song itself sounds triumphant, and yes the Promise was gross but it was a nice little hello kitty band aid over the mess that was the world before it.

What was truly triumphant, though, was the kids' escape, which happened to the same melodic theme, albeit in a different key. Which leads me to...

Prison Break (脱獄) (Season 1)

Oh my God. I love this song.

It symbolises the kids breaking ties with Isabella and how many obstacles were in the way (not only was she their mom; their only mom who had cared for them for their entire lives, but she was also their enemy and did everything she could to prevent them from escaping). The second the brass comes in with the theme (around 0:53) it sounds like it's struggling to play it fully. In this case, Isabella, once the singing parts, would have lost her voice after being outwitted by the children (keep in mind the song starts playing after they've already reached the wall). After all, the song starts with a voice that seems to get more and more desperate before it's overrun by instruments, thus losing its power.

So she's trying to control them and get them back, but they won't let her. They're going to break free. So you have the melodic theme playing with significant breaks, until eventually it all goes silent. Why? Because they escaped. Isabella completely lost contact with them, they're free. And then you get the same melodic theme in The Promise Between Humans and Demons.

But the theme isn't played full. It's not played to the extent that they play it in TPBDAH, instead there's a lot of just "blank space" with no melody above it: that's where the children will write their melody---their story; a story independent from the Promise that shaped their lives thus far.

AGH.

Isabella's Lullaby (イサベラの唄)

OK OK Continuing on Isabella I love how Sarah Alainn sings like she's crying. I really recommend this if you want to go deep on Isabella's Lullaby, they pretty much said everything I had to say. I don't go on youtube like ever and that might as well be one of my favourite videos LOL anyways

I also really recommend listening to the no vocal/piano solo version, the harmonies are so beautiful. And the more you listen to it the more you hear, there's always something new. The violins especially oh I love the way Takahiro Obata uses violins. Honourable mention to Nat King Ballade (ナットキングバラード) and Each Thought (それぞれの想い) (idk if thats the english name for it,,,, i've seen it as "Their Own Thoughts" too)

session 95 end

i like that we ended 612 with karkat pretty sweet if you ask me (well an hour past it at least)

ill try and sum this up as much as i can, considering it was a LONG one (but i felt long was good for the occasion since it was a homestuck holiday)

alright

lets clear the elephant in the room (not plot related)........ i really like karkat vantas. he may be a jerk sometimes with the slurs but apparently he gets better?? so i DO wanna see some development but god hes such a great character and i know i hated him before but hes grown so much on me that i think hes even in the top 5 favorites. which are kanaya, terezi, aradia and nepeta THEN karkat. so yeah.... god tell me that back in act 3 and i would have LAUGHED

alright, now for the fuckups

equius and vriska

vriska lost her arm bc terezi sold her out to doc scratch, who then blew up the orb she stole which is the reason she now needs a robotic arm. terezi was quite sad about it actually, she wanted to talk with vriska one last time before she told doc, to see whether or not she changed. because vriska DID kill her friend......... but vriska meant smth to terezi, so if she wanted to be the better person and apologize or try, terezi wouldnt have done anything, but since vriska didnt seem to care that much, terezi had to show her that enough was enough. which obviously she didnt really enjoy doing. but damn... im curious to see how their friendship plays out in the future

okay now a quick recap of plot point:

vriska lusus died, but not completely so she had to kill her herself with a guillotine, by using her dice which foretold how she would do it, equius then hopped into the session and literally JUMPED to the next fucking gate to greet aradia, who he had prepared her a robot, aradia entered the robot and equius fucking PROGRAMMED IT TO LOVE HIM

which GOD OKAY

so she found out, hated the fact it was programmed and she didnt ACTUALLY have any romantic feelings for equius, so while pissed, she then smashed the living HEART INSIDE OF HER ON THE TABLE MULTIPLE TIMES, BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF EQUIUS THEN FUCKING KISSED HIM WHAT THE FUCK

THATS SO FUCKED UP???? the whole forcing this onto her thing when she clearly didnt like him

however, it seemed while in the sprite, she didnt care much about equius’ peasantry remarks anymore, while she didnt reciprocate, she just went along with the commands he gave which made equius very very sweaty

honestly the most shocking thing of this session was the heart pounding, beating and kissing.

and omg there was.. a LOT of blood. we had vriskas arm being exploded, lusus being guillotined, aradia smashing out her heart and karkat being stabbed

and on that note, nepeta saw the whole ordeal happen and updated her shipping wall with it??? which has all the trolls in relationships and shes judging whether or not theyre fit for one another which good for her ig and can probably keep me updated on who has a crush on who even tho its not all accurate

THEN we have karkat who explained romance. how theres both hate and love in troll culture, which both can be seen as a relationship. one is called uhh kiss something, the other is called moiral something, and then theres one he didnt explain which is matesprite???? kiss is hate, moiral is love and the other is unknown. from what i get. tho most of the time i was being soft over how he had said nobody listens to him and hes just so invested he forgot vriska was even there or what his original point was. anyways, so basically you can have a crush on someone depending on what you feel for them, whether it be love or hate. and hate i see it as kinda like dating your enemy i guess???? yeah.. interesting. i kinda wanna see what dynamics in homestuck lead to that

OR what the kids think about it

oh god dont tell me aradia kissed equius because of the hate love thing.... and then they’ll actually have a romance because of the kiss-smth black romance whatever its called....... bc i swear to god..... im not going to enjoy that in the slightest.. i dont want to see that.. nuh uh...... smth about them that irks me

i genuinely also thought sollux and aradia were still together but i guess since the incident theyre not??? bc then id be REALLY fucking concerned for the aradia x equius thing bc thats blatant cheating..... but nothing has been really confirmed so... for my sanity, ill say theyre taking a break, EVEN if id rather much have them together because they were cute :(( but equius FUCKED IT UP

ANYWAYS, last point but not least, while karkat explained this whole romance schtick, he got stabbed.. yes, STABBED, by their session’s jack noir agskagdjhd WHICH APPARENTLY DIDNT BOTHER KARKAT BECAUSE HE HAD HIS PRIORITIES LMAOOO HE JUST TYPED AWAY WITH BLOOD GUSHING ON HIS SIDE LIKE NOTHING, n e ways, he told jack not to tell anybody his blood color, and was being a dramatic bitch about it, because apparently karkat has red blood (not aradias, a mutant like color) which is oppressed by troll culture, so he hides it to not get shat on... jack cut himself to show karkat he wasnt alone. which i then remembered karkats session got fucked up when he was explaining his own game to john, and apparently jack fucked theirs up so i cant wait to see what happens there
