it’s never that serious ppl make black reader fics all the time if they don’t have those small details the fic will js be boring☠️

It is that serious bc I think it’s that serious 🤷🏽‍♀️ and no they don’t??? What planet are you living on the only time I ever see black reader fics is if by chance a POC writer had one of their fics get attention and that rarely happens either. Those “small details” can be altered, and not even majorly, to include at least the rest of the population in race. I’m not saying it has to be every single fic that needs to be inclusive towards everyone (though that would be nice) but asking for at least half of the fics that flood the tags to have, at the very least, neutral descriptions doesn’t sound like a big ask.

PS - if you’re depending on the reader being able to flush red like a tomato or throw her hair up in a cute messy bun for a story to be engaging and entertaining you can hop on over to Wattpad and read the x reader fics there; it’s their specialty.

They gave you Abby Anderson. Nina Zenik. Annabeth Chase. Shauna Sadecki.

It's been a gruelling fight to get crumbs of what we want, but frankly you don't deserve them. You don't deserve them if you're going to call for complexity, then whine about how they're too 'complicated'. How those women are 'too much' and 'not enough' at the same time. How they could have been better, how they should have been changed.

You hate Abby for being too strong, you hate Nina for being too forward, you hate Annabeth for being a leader, you hate Shauna for being a child.

You're given women that are complex, that are morally grey, that can't be stamped with a 'good' or 'bad', and how do you treat them? No, even better, how do you treat the people that advocate for them?

It's fine for the men to be morally gray, but God forbid a woman step into that role like you asked.

I'm sick, and I'm so tired, and this is exactly why I love writing morally grey women. Strong women, women that are unapologetic and powerful.

Hey hi hello here are some of my headcanons of the poets :3

Todd:

The three A's - Anxious, Autistic and Asexual

It just makes sense in my head that he's asexual idk what to tell you

He knows French. As far as I'm aware this is a widely accepted headcanon.

He knew he was gay from a young age. Or at least that he was different. One time at church they were talking about being queer and how it's a sin and little 10 year old Todd felt so guilty and horrible.

Todd has very bad religious trauma. Like really bad.

He loves cats. So much.

He annotates his books

Neil:

He LOVES flowers

He knows floriography

Literally a nerd

He can dance! Specifically ballroom dancing. He never enjoyed it until he had practiced with Todd. He realised he never had a good enough dance partner.

He keeps literally everything he is given. He keeps it all in a little box.

Broke his arm climbing a tree when he was 7.

His knees are always bruised because he is constantly walking into stuff.

Nuwanda:

He would hide little notes around Welton saying some of the most absurd things ever.

He met Neil in the hospital when Neil fell out of the tree. They instantly became best friends.

For some reason he just has a singular blue crayon on him at all times. He doesn't know why he has it but it's just there on his desk.

One time called Todd "Toddler" to get his attention and Todd actually responded so now he randomly calls Todd "Toddler" and they both find it very funny

He sleep talks and the poets think it's the funniest thing ever

One time he ate a dog biscuit as a dare. It was all he could taste for the rest of the day. He hated it.

Meeks:

He has a stuffed bear called peanut butter

Which is ironic because he is allergic to peanuts

Aro ace :3

He has a little sister. It just feels right.

The tiniest spec of dust on his glasses drives him mad so he's constantly cleaning his glasses

He found one of Charlie's notes and keeps it on his desk

Knox:

Pitts:

He tried writing a book. It was really good. And then he lost it.

He gave up after that

He gets really queasy when he sees blood

Constantly procrastinating.

He loves spiders. Why? I don't know he just thinks they're fun.

He loves baking!!! He made cookies one time during Christmas break and brought them back to Welton and gave them out to everybody :)

Met Meeks' little sister one time and she instantly claimed him as her best friend.

Cameron:

He's weirdly good at drawing.

He doesn't do it often as he wants to focus on his education, but one time he got bored and drew a picture and Charlie was dumbfounded like "you can draw?????"

He's gay. Idk. In my brain Richard Cameron = queer.

His favourite food is pasta

Autistic.

He really enjoys geography.

poets as greek gods and godness

Neil - Dionysus. Like cmon he’s the god of the theatre, one of favourite gods back then. It is believed that Dionysus had the power to inspire people to greatness and convince them to fulfill their greatest desires

Todd - Apollo. At first I was thinking about Atena, because like Apollo she’s the godness of poetry, but after all Apollo suits more. He’s not only the god of poetry but also literature, beauty, art and music.

Charlie - this one was hard but I think Hermes. He’s known to be a chotic god, he wanted adventures this is why he’s the herald of the gods, so he can travel and discover new places.

Knox - if we consider fanon knox i would say Eros, the god of love and passion, but i think Mania would suit here better. Mania’s the godness of crazy love, a love where one side is so obsessed with their loved one that it seems unhealthy

Meeks - and here’s why I didn’t put Athena with Todd. I think it suits Meeks more. He’s a genius. And Athena is not only godness of poetry, but mainly of wisdom and strategy

Cameron - had to think about it for a while. I come up with Momus, he’s the god of mistakes and in the myths, he had to repent on his sins and learn from their mistakes (I am not a Cameron ati, but even tho I love him, I must admit he did some mistakes and he have to learn from them)

Pitts - I don’t have a specific reason here, just Pan and Pitts give the same vibe to me. Maybe it’s because of that headcanon that Pitts loves nature and birds.
