stepbro!sammy who manipulates you into sleeping with him to “help your cramps”!!! except he’s way too rough and it doesn’t help
thirza blessing us with a filthy ask today…
18+ MDNI
just a reminder that you are responsible for the media you consume! if you don’t like it, DON’T FUCKING READ IT! anyways bear🐻 presents..
cw: PERIOD SEX! STEPCEST! fem!reader, dom!sam, coercion kinda so slight dub-con, creampie, oral (fem receiving), cum-eating.
“cmon, lemme help! i read it in an article once.”
you roll your eyes as your step-brother continues to pester you about trying to help with your period cramps. sam sits next to you on your bed while you lie on your back, clearly struggling with your ailments.
“sam i’m not going to fuck you just because you think it’ll help with my cramps.”
you huff out in frustration at his naïve horniness, knowing he’s just trying to get inside you. despite this, he persists.
“i know it’ll help! you’ll enjoy it too..”
“will not! it’ll be all wet and messy- not to mention gross! we’d have to lay a towel down.”
sam groans out and throws his head back, obviously annoyed with your refusal to his lust-filled proposal.
“oh please, it’s not like the sex we usually have isn’t messy already.”
your jaw drops at his disgusting (but true) statement, trying to deny that the two of you have had sex before. he’s your step-brother after all!
“n-no! i don’t know what you’re talking about.”
sam chuckles at your half-witted attempt of a lie while you try and avert your gaze from the growing bulge in his jeans.
“i think you do, sweetie. i know you haven’t forgotten about the other night..”
his dirty whispers fill your head up with images of your mouth around sam’s cock, his hands in your hair as he face fucks you rough. the night ended with your mascara smeared and your swollen lips covered in your step-brother’s milky seed.
while you were lost in thought, sam slipped next to you, his warm breath hitting your ear and leaving you flushed.
“now you remember, don’t you? cmon baby, let your big brother make you feel better.”
only a few minutes later were you bent over on all fours, sam’s thick cock ramming into you from behind. the blood spilling from your entrance served as lube for him, making each thrust let out a wet squelching noise.
he pounded into you hard and rough, leaving no room for the ‘relief’ he promised. the tip of sam’s cock kissed your cervix and forced its way into you, causing you to let out squeals of pain and pleasure.
sam’s hand was placed where your ass met your lower back, pushing you back and forth on his cock to help him thrust inside you. his other hand was tangled in your hair, using it as a handle for him.
“sweet jesus. look at you taking your brother’s cock so well. my cock looks so good covered in your blood, baby.”
you let out whimpers of protest in response, seemingly begging him to slow down or be a little more gentle, but you’re only met with maniacal chuckles in response.
sam’s hand weaves out of your hair to hold the back of your head, pushing it down into the mattress and effectively silencing you so his groans and smacking skin are the sounds left in the bedroom.
with every thrust into you, your step-brother’s heavy balls smack your sensitive clit, sending shivers through your fucked-out body. looking down at the bloody mess only turned sam on more, leaving him staring down at his cock slamming in and out of your tight cunt. the sight makes his balls tighten and his cock throb, bringing him closer and closer to his peak.
“holy fuck i’m gonna cum in this tight pussy.”
sam moans out loud and slaps your ass, marking his territory. he gives you three or four hard thrusts and spills his load into you in thick ropes of cum, leaving you spent beneath him without an orgasm yet.
before your disappointment can fulling fester, sam is pulling out of your cunt and bending down to face your pussy. he places both hands on your ass cheeks and dives face first into your cunt, slurping and sucking out his own cum.
you’re left speechless, only able to let out wanton moans and squeals of absolute bliss as your step-brother eats you out like a man starved. with each flick and touch of his blood-covered tongue you’re pulled closer to the edge of your orgasm.
“sammy i’m gonna cum! oh my god-”
sam’s hands grip your ass harder and your toes curl as your orgasm comes over you in a large wave, leaving you shaking and spasming against his tongue. sam continues to slurp and lick his way through your climax till you’re completely slumped against the mattress below you.
while you’re trying to catch your breath, huffing and puffing on all fours, sam stands up and wipes his blood and cum covered mouth with the back of his hand.
“so are those cramps gone yet?”
ty for the ask <3

“Oh, come on Chuck! This’ll be my second time! You can’t keep forcing me to work another 40 years, just to make it to retirement and do it all again! It’s not yours or my fault that there aren’t enough young folk to take over our jobs! Hell, maybe if we paid a bit more, the few of them out there would apply!”
“It’s Lieutenant Roth, Billy. Now go change out of that equipment and take a shower. Whatever this remote does to strip away all those years, it sure does leave a young man ripe!”
“Don’t call me Billy! I haven’t been Billy in 30 years! Its Bill Damn it! And how am I supposed to explain this, again! to David?! You know he’s not into, well… this!”
“Put your shirt down Billy and quit your complaining. We’re doing something different this time, changing things up, trying something new. See, we couldn’t afford to pay higher wages all these years, because we’ve been stashing extra money away, for a new program. This remote can do a lot more than just wipe away years, Billy. The company has a whole app-store full of features, but they cost a hell of a lot. We only had enough for 2 new features, and we think it’ll really help solve this town’s aging population issue.”
“Wha… what the hell are you saying? What do you mean, something new?! Chuck, dude… you’re seriously starting to crack! What the fuck does any of this have to do with David?! And who is, “We”?!”
“I’m only going to tell you this once, son. It’s Lieutenant Roth. Now, I guess there’s no beating around the bush with you young-bloods. So I’ll get right to it. “We” is me, the Governor, and the Town Board. We investigated every possible fix, and it comes down to this. All the youth are moving out in droves, going to college, or fleeing to the city for excitement, leaving us aging folk to do the hard work around town. With the remote able to take years off a person, we’ve decided that all our current retirees, in every department, will be regressed, and the new feature we purchased will ensure you all follow your new, youthful instincts, providing us with a full generational bump in population.
You will be the hot-blooded virile stud you were way back in the day; you remember? Except this time, just as David isn’t attracted to this prime of your life look, YOU won’t be attracted to David, or any man for that matter. You see, we need all the help we can get, so with this little app, you’ll be chasing pretty women, and will certainly end up settling down, once one of them catches. Ah, by the look on your face, you know exactly what I mean.
Good, because you and the rest of the retirees are going to have your hands full, working these jobs getting paid just enough for a double-wide and a truck, leaving a trail of gals before you settle in with one, and have a whole mess of kids. "
“Ch… Lieutenant, sir… Wha… you’re insane dude! Fuckin’ totally cracked! You hear yourself! You can’t do this! I can’t be… I can’t chase… I don’t… don’t like…. Fuck… fuck dude… what the fuck are you doing?! Quit pointin’ that shit at me bro! My.. my head!”
“Don’t worry son, I’ll let you off the hook for all that mouthing off. It’s got to be rough having your brain completely flipped inside out, dumped out and filled with everything you need to be a, productive, member of society. Isn’t that right Billy?”
“Wha.. Oh, hey Lieutenant! So uh, is it ok if I head off to the showers and hit the road? Kind of a slow night huh sir? If it’d be alright, I want to go down to the Strip and hit the bar. The dudes and I figured we’d start the weekend early, ya know? Gotta get get some tail on lock before the storms hit. Thinkin’ I might run into Becka too, you know, from Thornton Stables? God she’d look real pretty, all knocked up good n’ proper!”
“Oh alright son. Go ahead, take the night off. But you’re on call. Got it! One or two beers, maybe a shot, take some cash and buy the lass one of those fruity drinks, and you treat her like a lady, young man. Got it?”
“Got it Dude! I mean Lieutenant! I’ll make a lady outa her yet! Thanks for the money too! Ya know how rough it is on the town’s wages! Although you and the Board seem to be doin’ alright. I hope I can get to where you are, Sir!”
“Don’t worry Billy, you’ve got a good 40 years or so to work your way up! Go have fun tonight!”

see in my head it’s like: you need him, i could be him. the way your makeup stains my pillow case like i’ll never be the same. sometimes i just want to know what it’s like to be you. don’t mind me i’m just watching you two from the closet wishing to be the friction in your jeans. isn’t it messed up how i’m just dying to be him? nothing comes as easy as you. wear me like a locket around your throat. just like kisses on the necks of best friends. i’m hopelessly hopeful, you’re just hopeless enough. i’m not going home alone cause i don’t do too well on my own. i’m just the covers on top of your bed. i’ll keep you warm and won’t ask where you’ve been. you’re the only place that feels like home. tell me you’d like boys like me better in the dark lying on top of you. and this is you and me. and me and you. until we’ve got nothing left. collect the bad habits that you couldn’t bear to keep. a teenage vow in a parking lot, til tonight do us part. i love you in the same way there’s a chapel in the hospital. kiss away young thrills and kills on the mouths of all my friends. cut it loose, watch you work the room. i wrote a goodbye note in lipstick on your arm when you passed out. best friends, ex-friends till the end, better off as lovers and not the other way around. when i’m home alone i just can’t stop myself. pushed up the window to kiss you off. do you remember the way i held your hand? under the lamp post and ran home this way so many times i could close my eyes. the truth hurts worse than anything i could bring myself to do to you. i love everything about you that hurts. some nights it gets so bad that i almost pick up the phone. i sleep with your old shirts. i’ve traced your shadows on the wall now i kiss them whenever i’m down. but i will never end up like him, behind my back i already am. oh, darling, i know what you’re going through. knowing how heartwarming it is inside your skin. why can you read me like no one else? always you make my stomach turn. don’t you remember how we used to split a drink? it never mattered what it was, i think that our hands were just that close. i just need enough of you to dull the pain, just to get me through the night til we’re twins again. write our names in the wet concrete. were we ever friends? there’s nothing more cruel than to be loved by everybody but you. we said we’d never grow up. would you read my eulogy? i will never ask you for anything except to dream sweet of me. scar-crossed lovers. forever. i ripped myself apart, i’ll be whatever you need me to be. i cut myself down to be whatever you need me to be. so let’s twist the knife again like we did last summer. what is there between us, if not a little annihilation?

When Wynne asked if she had anything to give to Regan, Jade considered passing. After all, they parted ways forever, right? No hard feelings. Regan was adamant there would be no other way to reach her, refusing to disclose the address where banshees got their correspondence. This was breaking the rules, so to speak. And Jade loved breaking dumb rules, but she always respected Regan’s decision over everything.
But there was still conflict in Jade’s heart, so she consulted with her cats over the following days. Concluding, thanks to Lullaby’s wise input, that she couldn’t pass up on the opportunity to reach out. Except, she had nothing to give Regan, nothing she hadn’t already taken with her. More consulting was needed for Jade to have her lightbulb moment. See, there wasn’t a thing Regan needed from her currently, not with Wynne and Elias going after her. But in the future, maybe, possibly, if something came up and minds suddenly changed (as unlikely as that was to ever happen), she wanted Regan to know where she stood.
Jade figured a change of mind wouldn’t be enough for Regan’s stubborn ass to leave Ireland and what she believed to be her duty behind. No, Jade knew she’d try to make it work, somehow. No matter how miserable she felt. So Jade wanted to give Regan a hand, all the way from Wicked’s Rest, on the chance that Regan felt like her own desires didn’t matter enough to tip the scales. Regan had always been a little weak for Jade’s big-brained logic, hadn’t she? So she ended up handing Wynne a small envelope before they left for Ireland. The outside read: “Break in case of emergency”, and then below, “DO NOT break. OPEN” for Regan and Wynne’s more literal brains.
If Regan were to ever open the envelope, she’d find… a letter. It starts with a dramatic opening, “Regan. Hey…if you are reading this it means [del: I‘m]… things are not looking good”.
“Things might be super mega bad, right now, actually. And I know you wanna stick to your guns, I know you think there’s a way to turn this around and make it work. A last-second 3-pointer that’s gonna fix it all and make your granny cheer (I watched Space Jam, I think that’s how basketball works). I almost wanna believe in you, cause that’s all I do. But please… hear me out. Ireland isn’t the end of it. You can do what you must do here. I should’ve said it. You should’ve stayed. I wanted you to. But that’s not why I’m writing to you. I want you to stop thinking about everyone else but yourself. You are a person too. [del:You’re my] But if you can’t think about you, think about me, okay? You enjoy doing that a lot too.”
The message is followed by a list titled: “69 reasons why we should be together (number 69 will make your jaw drop)”. Jade started the list months before Ireland was even on the horizon, back when Regan was still pretending there was nothing going on between them. She never planned on finishing it, cause she got the girl, but desperate times called for desperate measures.
The list… is a bit of a mess. Parts heartfelt, part inside jokes, the numbers are not in order, cause, why would they, it’s Jade? Number 12 talks about both of them being nosy, which totally means they would have all the tea about the town, followed by Number 36, a simple “We can share clothes”. Number 20 is “You need someone to watch whales decompose with, I happen to have my Google alerts on”. Number 69 is just a winky face, but number 66 says, “bog sex might happen”. Number 17 mentions how opposites attract, while Number 18 points out that they’re more similar than either wants to admit. Number 52 is “We’d never run out of things to talk about”. Number 47 is “Porcupines deserve to be held too, in fact, they might need it more than others”. Number 10 reads, “Chemistry that should be studied in a lab, actually”, and Number 2, “I’d give up on hearing music for the rest of my life if that meant hearing your voice whisper my name again”.
At the bottom of the list, there’s Number 1, and it says: “I love you, and you love me. That’s not changing in this lifetime. So not doing something about it? Super irresponsible”
The letter ends with,
“Prove me right”.
Wynne has taken the envelope to Ireland and has not opened or broken it, even if there were some emergencies. The letter is left in Regan’s clinic, as mentioned in Dead End.

Super Earth Part 7: Spacewalk
Pairing: Roman Reigns X Reader
Warning: none
Tumblr media
We were two and a half months into our trip. Passengers and crew had settled into routines. At any point in the day, we knew who we would pass in the hall, who would be at mess, who was going to play chess that night. Except for special occasions like movie night; it was positively boring. We got up, went to work, worked out, played chess or monopoly or watched a tv show, slept and repeated.
Roman and I had fallen for each other hard. As close as we’d felt that fateful night before liftoff, we continued to grow closer and closer. We spent hours each night in my quarters laughing, joking, making love. In the day, we pretended that we were just starting our courtship. We played chess in public twice a week, ate together three times a week and worked out together once a week; always surrounded by others. We tried to ensure each time we spent just a couple minutes more than the last time.
By now, rumors had started that we were interested in each other, but as of yet, nobody knew we were together except for Carmello, who had kept his promise and kept our secret.
_________________________________________________________________
“What’s going on?” I was groggy and my memory was hazy. I’d been fixing an EPS conduit. After that, I don’t remember.
Orange was standing at the food of the bed, hands in his pockets, cool and calm in his usual way. “You accidentally hit the power line for the Thermal Control backups. The shock threw you back into the wall behind you and knocked you out.”
Dr. Thorpe continued, “You’re gonna be ok, but you dislocated your shoulder and you’ve got a mild concussion.”
Of course, the second he said dislocated shoulder, I tried to move to figure out which one. That was a bad idea, as pain shot through my left shoulder and all the way down my arm. “Fuck!” At the same time, I realized Roman was holding my hand. I tried to jerk it away before anyone could see.
“Yeah…. Cat’s out of the bag, Captain.” Jamie chuckled. I looked around. Everyone was fine with him holding my hand.
“Does base know?” I groaned.
“Base? What? Why? They don’t need to know.” Jamie calmed me. “They’re out of coms range anyway.”
“You could have sent a long-range message.” I said, and she just laughed and shook her head no.
“And the crew and passengers?” I continued.
“They don’t care.” Jamie said.
“As sweet as all this is,” Orange interrupted. “We’ve got a problem, Captain. I can’t repair the Thermal Control Backups from inside the ship.”
I breathed in deep, “So we’re going to need to spacewalk.”
The room erupted in a chorus of protests. “Cap, sorry, but I’ve gotta put my foot down. You can’t spacewalk.” Dr. Thorpe’s order calmed the room. “Not with a concussion.”
“Besides,” Orange said, “How you gonna wear that brace in a spacesuit? And before you even say it, no. You need one hand to hold the tools and one hand to control your movement. Sorry Cap, but you’re one shoulder shy of that. Lieutenant Coffey is trained on spacewalk, and he’s chomping at the bit to get one under his belt. I’ll take him.”
“But?” I started and the whole room said “No”
“But?” Dr. Thorpe said “No”
“But?” Roman leaned over me now, and very firmly said “No, and that’s the end of that.”
I resigned myself to the fact that I was going to miss a spacewalk. I had been on every spacewalk on every mission I was on. I loved spacewalking. The peace and calm of space, the way everything moved in slow motion all while an undertow of danger kept me on my toes. It was more than that though. If someone was going to be in danger, I couldn’t assign anyone else to do it. I did it myself. “Bring Coffey to see me.” Orange nodded and left to get the Lieutenant.
“Captain?” I wasn’t asleep yet, but I was well on the way when Orange and Lt Coffey were standing at the foot of my bed.
“Lt. Coffey,” I looked him over. Short, broad build, muscles everywhere. He could have looked daunting if he wasn’t smiling ear to ear. His blue eyes twinkling with excitement. Despite that, he was standing at attention.
“Captain.” He had a Scottish accent so strong, it took me a moment to work out what he’d said.
“Are you sure you’re ready? A spacewalk is very dangerous.” I warned him.
“Maam, Sir….” He fumbled in his excitement. “Yes. I’m ready. I’ve logged over 100 hours in the space walk simulator. I promise I’m ready. More than ready.”
I sat up now to show my seriousness. “This isn’t an amusement park ride. This isn’t a game. This is real danger. You have to be at the top of your game the whole time. You need to keep yourself alive as well as Orange. Do you understand?”
His smiled went away as he realized how serious this was. “Yes Sir. I won’t let you down.”
“You have to listen to everything I say and everything Orange says?” I raised an eyebrow as I stared him down.
“Yes Sir.”
“One more thing.” I added.
“Yes sir?” he asked.
I smiled at him now. “Don’t forget to stop and soak in the whole amazing experience! There’s nothing like it.”
Coffey relaxed now and his smile lit up the room. “Aye Captain. I will and Thank you Captain. Thank you so much!!” He was by my side in a minute, shaking my hand so hard it shook my whole body, which hurt my dislocated shoulder.
“Ok. Ok.” I laughed and pulled my hand out of his. “Orange?”
He knew what I was going to say, “I’ll bring him back in one piece.” Orange held up a fist and I bumped it.
We routed coms into sick bay. Despite my arguments, Dr. Thorpe insisted I stay in medical for a few hours to monitor my concussion.
The computer chirped, “We are suited up and ready, Captain” Orange’s voice piped through the computer.
“Lt. Coffey?” I asked.
“More than ready, Captain.” His thick Scottish accent making it hard to understand.
“Remember, you can’t lose focus. Enjoy yourself but stay alert.”
His bright blue eyes and crazy hair popped onto the screen. “Captain, I promise.”
“I hate sending you guys out there without me.” I lamented.
“We’ve got this, Captain.” Orange said.
“Then…. Whenever you’re ready.” I prompted.
I heard Lt. Gargano’s voice over the computer. “Walkers entering air lock now.” Then a pause. “Decompressing the air lock now.” We waited a minute.
“I hate this.” I said to Doc Thorpe, who was in the room with me. “I should be out there.”
Thorpe got up from his computer, coming to my side, “I know, but I can’t let you out there. Cassidy and Coffey will be fine.”
The computer chirped again, now with Gargano’s voice, “Walkers, are you ready?”
“Ready.” Orange said
“Doubly ready,” Coffey said.
I couldn’t help one last warning. “Stay focused.”
The next few hours were tense for me. Orange and Coffey seemed calm and relaxed as they finished repairs, but I was a wreck from the moment they left the ship until they were safely inside.
“How did that feel?” I asked Coffey when he and Orange came to debrief me on the repairs.
He lit up with a broad smile, “Dat was excellent!” He said. “Can’t wait to go again!”
I chuckled. “I appreciate your enthusiasm.”
“Wanna join us for a drink?” Orange asked me.
I didn’t have the opportunity to answer because Dr. Thorpe answered first.
“Absolutely NOT! No alcohol! Captain here is going to her quarters to rest soon.” Soon was when Roman got finished in his lab. It was only with Roman’s presence that I was allowed to go back to my room, and even then, the doctor came to see me every few hours until he was sure I was ok.

Swamp Search - Joreus/Teldryn
I saved a bunch of writing prompts to warm up and these two lines were what I got "it could be worse" and "i hate you" which is such a perfect combo for a specific trope/prompt lol yall know the one
Pairing: Neralion Joreus/Teldryn Sero
Lets goo -------------
It had been hours. Running in circles, treading through muck in the swamps of Morthal looking for some damned stone Joreus lost on the way through the first time. Blasted chaurus came out of nowhere, in the mess knocking the damn thing out of Joreus’ bag is all Teldryn could assume had happened.
His feet were soaked and numb from the cold evening air mixed with the slosh they marched through, water seeping inside their boots. Teldryn was beyond annoyed, grumbling at any small inconvenience they encountered, from slaughterfish to branches sticking to his clothing. He took every opportunity to express his sour mood to Joreus, who dismissed it for the most part with a few ‘yeah yeah’s and an ‘okay princess’.
“It was an accident, will you get over it already?” Joreus huffed, pulling his boot out of the mud, grimacing as it let out a sloshy suction noise when his foot came loose. Greenish mud climbed his calves, chilling his skin. Yuck.
“If you held onto your belongings with more care, maybe you wouldn’t have lost the damn thing in the first place.” the Dunmer spat back under his breath. “Considering how important it was.”
Not bothering to bicker back at the sour Dunmer, Joreus dug his hands into the swampy moss and dug around at the slightest glimpse of shine. Some old jewelries were definitely lost in the foggy marsh, corpses long lost to time. Except that one time Joreus pulled out a skeleton hand with a bracelet on it. Made a good joke of it too, scaring Teldryn. He wasn’t amused.
“Can we just get another or something? I can’t feel my feet and it’s getting dark.”
“I’m sorry, mr. I’m too stubborn to help out anymore, but if you shoved a hand of two in the mud for just a few more minutes, maybe we’d actually find it sooner.” the Altmer rolled his eyes, digging down to his elbow in the ground where the fight occurred. “It’s just  abit of mud.”
“Mm... My favorite.” Teldryn scowled as something wiggled in the mud by his feet, murky water dark and uninviting to a pair of hands. Grumbling and spewing curses, Teldryn grit his teeth and dig his gloved hands into the muck. This would take some serious elbow grease to wash off.
he felt rocks, he was assuming. Slimy mud, some moss. A stick he hoped.
Something slithered by his hand, making him yank it out of the water. “This is stupid, just come back to it in the morning or something.” he groaned.
"I can't just leave it in the damn water! A mudcrab or a fish will take it off somewhere or eat it or something. It isn't the end of the world, could be worse. Just-"
Like on cue, thunder roared and shook both mer to their core. Clouds had begun to fill the sky, but with their noses to the ground, neither had taken notice. ‘Oh great’ was all Joreus heard before it begun trickling. Then raining.
Finally, it was pouring rain, making it near impossible to see few feet ahead of oneself. Clothes quickly soaking through, sticking against their skin, the cold air became all the more bitter as it nipped at their bodies.
“I hate you.” Teldryn grumbled over the noise of the rain, voice muffled by the rapid pouring water. “Now where?!”
Joreus held a hand over his eyes, squinting into the rain as the two stood against a barren tree, getting basically zero coverage out of it, but it was the hope that it did that kept them there.
“Over there!” the Altmer suddenly shouted, making Teldryn jump.
Grabbing the other's wrist, Joreus marched through the swamp, taking caution to not lose his footing in the waters when it got deeper. Teldryn followed his lead, pushing through the water, chilled to the bone as his armor and clothes beneath were soaked through. Joreus would not hear the end of it for all this nonsense. A slaughterfish lurked in the shallow waters, watching the two pairs of legs tread by, stirring the mud beneath the surface. Swiftly, it latched onto the nearest leg, earning a roar of pain from above the surface.
"Argh!" Teldryn shook his leg, swinging a fist against the silver scaled fish. It swam off a few feet, still lurking about with the taste of blood in the muddy water.
"What happened?"
Joreus had stopped walking, looking back to Teldryn who was looking down at the water. With a shove forward, the Altmer was forced to keep moving. Scales hiding in the murky waters followed eagerly to have another go at acquiring itself a nice supper. Fins slithered against their legs and teeth nipped at Teldryn's armor, making him curse at the gilled vermin.
With a speedy push through the marsh, the two reached an old run down shack. The door was locked, but nothing a bit of brute force from two tired, cold mer could fix. The door came flying open, both shuffling inside to close it. It was dark inside the shack and it smelt of wet rotting wood and the nose stinging sour of rotting meat. Teldryn grimaced and groaned, but made his way to a nearby old bed to check his leg.
"Damn thing latched onto me." he grumbled, pulling his boot off.
Joreus worked on finding the fireplace or pit to shed some light into the room and warmth to their soaked bodies. A faint thunk and a curse emitted from the darkness, making Teldryn chuckle half-heartedly out of habit. Sparks lit in Joreus' palms and soon they had a fire going. Not the most magnificent of flames, but it's what they could do with the wet furniture they had at their disposal. The old wood crackled and whined from the sudden heat, popping sparks into the air.
"How's your leg?" Joreus sat beside Teldryn, watching him inspect his leg. Even from the angle in the dim light Joreus could tell Teldryn's brows were knit together in frustration. He earned a gruff hum in response.
Sitting quietly for a beat, Joreus sighed through his nose. "Sorry I lost the stone. I-"
"You didn't do it on purpose, I know." Teldryn interrupted, knowing Joreus would go off on a tangent about being sorry and all that other self-wallowing talk. He knew it was an accident. It just couldn't have happened in a worse location. Well, at least they weren't shoveling snow in search of the damn thing. For that, Teldryn was silently thankful.
"Still." Joreus continued. "You're hurt, we're both soaked to the bone.", he looked down at his old satchel, "I need a better bag, huh..."
"You don't say"
"Do you still hate me?"
"A little bit. I'll hate you even less if you mix up something warm to eat, I'm freezing.
Joreus smiled softly, nudging his shoulder against Teldryn, who acted as if he didn't feel him. Getting back on his feet, he dug through their bags to fix up something to eat while they wait for the raging storm outside to pass. It might be a long night. He really needed to find the source of that nasty smell though, lest he lose his appetite more than he already had.

i was in a computer room like in a school like think those testing rooms they put us in in school w computers against every wall n some tables in the big wide center tht also hav computers n i think i arrived 2 class Late but i sat down next 2 2 girls n i remember tht the assignment or smth going on in/w the class was Weird n i kept getting distracted n so by the end of the class i only got like 2 paragraphs done
anyway at some point i was trying 2 eat spaghetti tht had vaccine on it tht we were apparently supposed 2 eat but then i remembered tht i had a p adverse reaction 2 the last vaccine so i stopped mid slurp of a few noodles n froze bc there was nowhere 2 spit out the noodles n so they kinda partially flopped on2 my white tank top, staining it (fun fact i was wearing a white tank top irl! my brain remembered my outfit i guess) n i went up 2 my nana n she told me a spell 2 get rid of the stain n told me yea, dont eat the vaccine noodles bc last time i had a p bad reaction.
so i went back 2 my desk n picked up my wand (which had smth coming off of it like tht 1 shrine thing yae has n a ball at the end. nothing like a tru wand) n i think i tried 2 do the spell but the girl next 2 me gave a Look so i tried 2 go off somewhere quieter n tried 1 of the dark siderooms (no door, think like tht side hallway in the middle school gym tht lead 2 the corridor 4 the p.e. rooms tht the drama class used when doing rehearsals/their play, except now its Shorter n has computers against the walls) bc there were less ppl in there but the teacher told ppl 2 stop going in the siderooms bc we might mess w the computers n i was wondering, “but arent these extra computers 4 our class? i see students workin on projects in here too??” but eventually the teacher decided 2 let some of the students go outside n so, like, 3/4 of the class left lmao all the computers got rly vacant. idk if this was recess or what. idk. class was still in session or w/e, bc me n the girls next 2 n ppl behind me (at 1 of those tables) all Stayed n i kinda went Lol n questioned why so many of them left
but bc some ppl left, i noticed clear (yes, from dm/md) at the table behind me n i was like !!! n after a minute, i turned around n moved enough so i was hugging him (mostly his midsection. like, my face was in his chest) n i kept saying tht i missed him n i sounded so loving n emotional as if he was my bf n we’d been separated until now 4 a while or smth n he said “i kno” but he didnt sound all tht loving but he was stroking my hair or w/e n i think it was bc he couldnt make more of a Scene but i think ppl were looking at us anyway but then he said tht i left him w tht ring around his middle finger n he couldnt take it off n started moving it up n down his finger (which i found odd bc it looked like he Could take it off, but mayb he meant bc it was an order he couldnt bring himself 2 bc robot &/or loyalty rules. btw the ring had words engraved on it but idk what words bc u cant read in dreams) n i think i lightly apologized but i was jus so happy 2 see him again. but i think i worried tht, bc ppl could see his ring while i was hugging him this hard, theyd think we were married or smth.
but then he took out a box n wanted 2 relay things thtd happened since we’d been apart n inside was smth mundane n he started singing his words instead of speaking them?? n i was like nono shhh shh clear ily but ur causing a Scene we can do this later ok n he stopped 4 a sec but then moved smth in the box n there was a sandwich n he started singing abt the lunch or breakfast he’d ate n i was embarrassed bc now More ppl were looking at us n eventually the teacher yelled 4 silence i think, then i woke up shortly after.
but hugging clear still feels so vivid... he was rly cute n it felt so genuine, like i loved him... dream!me prob did. but it felt rly nice.. clear was soft.

Born This Way (Because Of Negligence Towards Basic Scientific Safety)
(IDK how far apart the Fenton kids are in age, so Jazz is an Undetermined Age Where She's A Toddler But Also Very Verbal. Maybe it's the Genius Genes letting her learn faster. Let's go with that.)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maddie coughs, spitting out another glob of ectoplasm. "Well, at least know it's not an issues with the cooling system."
Jack sneezes out the ectoplasm stuck in his nose, and then grins and stands triumphantly. "Still a step towards success!"
Jazz frowns from where she's playing with her doll, safe within a Fenton Anti-Ghost Toddler Chamber. "Mommy, you should cover your mouth." She points at her own mouth. "Mr. Wummy on TV says dat getting weird stuff in your mouth is bad."
"Mr. Wummy is a cartoon, dear. We're seasoned scientists, we know what we're doing." She wipes herself off, and sits down. "If there were any side-effects to accidental ecoplasmic consumption, we'd know."
"But what if Danny doesn't like it?" Jazz point at her mother's belly.
Maddie pats her belly. "The baby is still just a fetus, sweetie. It can't tell what it does and doesn't like yet. And why are you so sure it'll be a boy?"
"Because I'm your baby girl. So now you need a baby boy!"
Maddie tilts her head and smiles lovingly at her daughter. "Oh, you're adorable." Nothing cuter than Child Logic.
Maddie stands back up, and puts her hands on the workbench. "Now, let's see about that firing mechanism..."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maddie brushes her teeth, sighing when her toothbrush comes away glowing green. "We really messed up a lot of experiments today. I think I swallowed a whole ghost's worth."
Jack spits a similarly colored mouthful of toothpaste foam out. "At least it doesn't taste as bad as it smells."
Maddie puts her hands on her belly, the bump now quite obvious. "II hope we're right about it not having side effects."
Jack's expression softens. He gently pulls his wife into a comforting hug. "The doctors all say he's as healthy as can be, Mads. You don't need to worry."
"I still worry anyway, though."
"Of course you do. You're his mom! But we'll worry together, and if you ever need me to, I'll do the worrying for us both! While you relax and give him more tips on how to avoid ghosts once he learns to walk."
Maddie giggles, and sighs. It'll all be fine... nothing to worry about.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jazz has her arms crossed, a teddy bear hanging from one hand. "Five times!"
"Yes, and did we mention we're so proud that you can count so we-"
"Five times!" She shouts again, waving her little sticky toddler hand at them. "I saw you eat the bad green stuff five times!"
"We didn't eat it," Maddie says patiently, "It got into our mouths by accident."
"You swallowed it!"
"Only a tiny bit, only on accident, dear."
Jazz puts her hand on her mom's belly. "Danny is gonna be here soon and he's gonna be mad!"
"He won't even know it happened, sweetheart."
"Yes he will! He'll be the smartest ever, just like me and like you and like daddy! And he'll be so upset and never stop crying!"
"Babies do that anyway, sweetie." Maddie rubs her belly. It's true, Danny is due any day now. And yes... there's been some extra Ectoplasm Incidents lately. Maddie just can't stay awake sometimes, and... well. That's not exactly good when working on ghost hunting machines.
"Your baby brother will be perfectly fine," Maddie assures. "He's a healthy baby boy, and he'll be just as healthy when you meet him."
Jazz lights up at the mention of meeting him. She can't wait!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jazz bounces excitedly in her dad's arms. She gets to meet her baby brother! Finally! She's going to read him bedtime stories, and protect him from closet monsters, and show him how to throw a tea party!
Jack chuckles. "Calm down, sweetie, you don't get to play with him quite yet! He's still very fragile."
"But he's okay?"
"Yes, he and Mommy are both okay. Better than okay."
Jack knocks on the hospital room door, and they enter.
Maddie is holding Danny, and it looks like she fell asleep. Jazz gasps, even though all she can see so far is the blanket bundle.
"He's tiny!"
"Very." Again. Ah well. Jack had always hoped one of his kids would groww up to be taller than him, but maybe it'll have to be a grandkid.
He walks over, and smiles at his sleeping wife. "Okay, let's be quiet," he whispers. "We don't want to wake mommy."
Jazz nods seriously.
Jack sets her on the bed, and Jazz carefully crawls closer to Danny. She moves the blanket to get a good look at his face, grinning widly-!
She frowns. "Where is he?"
"What?!" Jack hurriedly picks up the bundle, making Maddie startle awake. "Holy-"
"Jack? Honey? What is it?!" Maddie's tone becomes increasingly panicked.
Jack, looking a bit pale, hands the bundle back to her. She gasps.
It's empty, and freezing!
"Where- where is-"
And then suddenly. He's there.
Fast asleep, wrapped up snug and tight. His little face still red from being brand-new to the world, his tiny tongue sticking out of his mouth slightly as he snoozes.
He disappears again.
Maddie thinks she's about to pass out.
Finally, Jazz breaks the horrified silence. "I told you to cover your mouths!"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Danny sleeps all the way home, and all the way up to his room. Jazz is waiting by the bassinet, and peeks in as soon as he's placed down. She frowns. "Mommy, his hair is white. He's not old."
Maddie sighs. "No, he's not. Apparently it just... does that, sometimes."
Danny yawns, and opens his little eyes. Jazz's own eyes widen as well. "He's glowing!"
"Yes... that happens too."
Danny screws up his face, and starts crying. Maddie picks him up and rocks him. "Poor baby... he's so cold."
"Why?" Jazz tilts her head.
Maddie sighs. "Well... your father and I... we think he's half-ghost."
"How?"
"... Probably... the ectoplasm," Shame burns in Maddie's veins.
Jazz, wide-eyed, reaches to to try and touch Danny. "Is he dead?" She doesn't sound sad, because it looks to her like even if he is dead, he's still alive.
"No!" Maddie shuts the idea right down. "He is a very healthy, living boy! But he's... different."
"Are you gonna trap him?"
"Wh- Jasmine, why would you ask that!"
"He's a ghost."
"No! No, we never treat him like any other ghost. And he's only partly ghost, so it barely counts. Now, Mommy has to feed him so he can go back to sleep. How about you go pick a movie for tonight?"
Jazz nods. She takes that job very seriously. There's a science to picking movies.
She heads off, and Maddie looks at Danny's sniffling little face. His eyes are back too baby blue, but his hair isn't quite black yet.
At least he's still visible.
At least the side effects seem mild.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's about 6 am when Jack bolts up too use the bathroom. On his way back, he decides to check on the kids.
Jazz is asleep, cuddling a stuffed animal. Jack smiles.
Danny is also asleep, wrapped up in a cute little onesie and floating above the bassinet FLOATING ABOVE THE BASSINET?!?!
Jack runs over and grabs Danny from the air, pulling out a Fenton Ghost-Whapping Baton!
And then he looks at Danny, who's whining, and sees sleepy glowing green eyes looking at him.
"Oh. Um, sorry, son." He puts away the baton. "I thought a ghost was stealing you."
Danny yawns. Jack sees a cold breath puff out of his son's mouth, despite the room being temperature-controlled to keep him toasty during the nights.
Jack puts Danny back into the bassinet. He leaves, and comes back a little bit later with some equipment.
He sets up a rudimentary ghost-shield to keep Danny from floating away during the night, but won't trap him. He can still float a little, if need be.
"The scariest ghost we've faced yet," Jack mumbles. He kisses Danny's forehead, and sits there until Danny falls asleep. By then, Danny is human again.
Jack leaves, and in the morning he and Maddie begin working on some upgrades for Danny's room.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Danny babbles happily as Jazz plays peek-a-boo with him.
"Boo!"
Laughter.
"Boo!"
More laughter!
"A-boo! A-boo!" Jazz can't stop grinning. She's a great older sister! Look at her go!
She takes Danny's hands, and moves them over his face. "Now, where's Danny? ... Here he is! Oh."
Danny isn't there. But his clothes are, and something's inside of them. And Jazz is still holding two chubby baby arms, even if they're cold and invisible.
Jazz stares for a second, and then speaks. "... Peek-a-boo?"
Danny reappears, and squeals with laughter!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maddie sits down to give Danny his bottle. She's brought him out shopping with her so she can grab some replacement parts that fried in their latest invention, the Fenton Ecto-Extractor!
Jazz had thrown a fit when she'd heard the name, and it startled Jack so bad he'd turned it on too early and it completely collapsed on itself! It took half an hour to convince Jazz that they weren't trying to use it to make Danny normal, just using it for themselves now that they know it can cause... strange things, to happen.
Danny drinks the bottle with no issue, and burps as soon as she starts his back. Really, he's a pretty easy baby. Except for the ghost part.
Maddie is getting him back in the stroller when Danny's face screws up. She watches a cold, visible breath leave his mouth, and then he starts to scream. Sobbing, wailing baby screams, attracting the concerned and/or annoyed attention of most people around them.
"He's just tired," she assures loudly. His breath is still puff out in cold clouds, even though it's perfectly warm in the mall.
Maddie quickly picks him back up and hugs him, bouching and singing to try and calm him down.
Danny starts to quiet down. She puts him back in the stroller, but as soon as she does (as soon as he looks behind her with those bright, bright green eyes) he starts crying again.
She sighs and picks him up, hurrying back to the car. She'll just come back for the parts later. Clearly, something is upsetting him.
Something that she just can't see.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jazz leans away from Danny, grinning. "There!"
Danny is propped up on her bed. Maddie and Jack needed to quickly decontaminate themselves, and so Jazz had to watch Danny for just a minute.
And in that minute, she's does some redesigning.
Danny's fluffy white hair has a little bow in it, and she's put some of her kiddie makeup on him.
Danny disappears for a second, and the bow falls. When he reappears, it's not on his head anymore. He looks at Jazz blankly.
Jazz crosses her arms. "No fair! I was making you pretty!"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maddie stumbles into Danny's room. She flicks on the light, and turns off the Fenton Ghost-Shielding Hanging Mobile. She reaches in and pulls the crying Danny out of the bassinet, shushing and rocking him.
Danny's eyes are bright green again, and Maddie can see his breath. "Oh, you always get so worked up when this happens," she says softly. "Is the cold upsetting you?"
Danny doesn't answer, just cries more.
Maddie takes him to her and Jack's room, and lays down with him on her chest. Jack rolls over in his sleep and puts his arms around her, cradling both of them.
Danny falls back asleep soon, and Maddie sighs. She can still see his breath, but at least he's calm now.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jazz holds up her drawing, and shakes her head. She goes back to scribbling, and moves closer to Danny. "This is black," she says to him, pointing at the crayon she's using. She picks up another color. "And this one is red."
Danny stares as Jazz keeps scribbling. Jazz assumes that means he's learning.
"I'm going to let Mom and Dad know I saw this in my closet," she says seriously. "I think people know you're special and want to steal you!"
Danny blows a spit bubble by accident, and laughs when it pops.
Jazz's eyes hold more determination than ever. She scribbles with the fury of a million warriors. "You're very valuable." She learned that word yesterday. "So you need lots of protecting."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Do you think this will make her feel better?" Maddie asks as she closes the panel.
Jack lifts his soldering mask and nods. "If one thing can make a person feel safe, it's fifty anti-ghost devices hidden in their walls!"
"I just worry about that doodle. What if something really got in?"
"Mads, you personally handcrafted every single sensor put up in the kids's rooms! If a ghost had gotten in, we'd know! To get past then they'd need deep knowledge of exactly how our deigns work and how they detect ghost energy, and no ghost has that!"
"You're right, you're right. Still, I hate to think she might be having nightmares about something like that. It looked like it had devil horns."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Peek-a-boo!" Jazz grins at Danny. "Peek-a-boo!"
It never gets old for him! No matter how many times they play, Danny loves it!
"Peek... a-boo!" Jazz does little jazz-hands.
Danny disappears, and Jazz grins. "Where's Danny? Where'd he go?"
Danny reappears, and-
"B-b-boo!"
Jack and Maddie dart into the room! Maddie swoops Danny up, eyes wide!
Danny giggles, and says it again. "Boo!"
Maddie and Jackie both tear up. In unison they shout, "HIS FIRST WORD!"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Danny gnaws on the toy with his little baby gums.
"I can't believe it. Already teething," Maddie sighs, holding him. "Seems like only yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital."
Jack wipes his eyes. "He's growing into a young man already."
"Oh, Jack, stop it, he's not nearly a young man."
"But he will be before we know it!"
Maddie pats her husband on the back comfortingly as he begins to blubber.
Maddie closes her eyes, thinking about those early months with Danny, figuring out how to prepare for his floating and invisibility, learning to not panic when his eyes and hair changed color, learning that sometimes when they do his clothes change color as well...
She's startled out of her thought by something warm and wet on her lap.
She looks down to see the teething toy on her thigh... and a whole lot of nothing where Danny's head should be.
Then it' back when she blinks, and he's beginning to whine for his toy.
She quickly picks him up off her laps and retrieves it, giving it back to him.
So... the ghost abilities are still developing, then. She'll have to let Jack know about this later.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Daniel Fenton," Jack says, the most serious Jazz has ever seen him, "You're in big trouble this time, mister. I don't know how you did this-"
Jack shakes the empty tube of baby snacks, safe for teething babies.
"But I will get to the bottom of it!"
"Look like he already did," Maddie jokes, setting Jazz's breakfast down for her.
Jazz laughs, because it sounds like a Smart Adult Joke and she thinks those are funny, even when she doesn't understand them.
Danny babbles, smacking his chair's food tray.
"Oh no you don't, mister! You're getting regular baby food this morning and that's all!" Jack grabs the jar of food, and holds up the spoon. "Now, here comes the Fenton Ghost-Tracking Copter!"
He puts the spoon up to Danny's mouth-
-and right through his head.
He gasps and pulls back, and Danny's head reappears. He babbles, smacking the tray again.
Maddie drops her fork. "I can't believe I forgot! That's what I was going to tell you about!"
Jazz looks at her parents. "You didn't know he does this?"
They both gawk at her. "You did?!"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Danny reaches up and grabs Jazz's nose. Jazz wrinkles it, and he laughs.
Jazz sticks out her tongue and crosses her eyes, and Danny laughs even harder!
Jazz looks at her parents as they finish setting up the picnic blanket. "I'm the funniest big sister ever!"
"You sure are, sweetie!" Maddie scoops Jazz up and gives her a kiss on the cheek. "You get it from me."
Jack laughs. "It's true! Your mother could get the whole Ghost Hunting Club laughing out HAZMAT suits off all day long back in the day! ... 'Course it was just the three of us, but still, three's a crowd!"
"May as well have been doing stand-up," Maddie says, setting Jazz down on the blanket.
They enjoy the little outing, the sun shining but not beating down, the cool breeze just enough to crispen the air but not freeze.
And then Jazz looks at Danny. She sees glowing eyes, and a puff of breath come out of his mouth. "Uh-oh. Mommy! He's gonna cry!"
Maddie picks Danny up right as he starts to wail. She hugs him, and is shocked. He doesn't feel cold this time!
Is he just cold inside?
Or is there some other problem?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jack rubs his ears. "That child wails like a Banshee!"
"He could very well be doing exactly that," Maddie points out. "We still don't know what other abilities he'll develop as he ages!"
"Or how well he'll be able to control them. ... Mads... should we homeschool him?"
"It's a little early to worry about that, Jack."
"I know that tone, you're worrying about it too."
"... We can't just keep him isolated from the rest of the world, Jack. It'll be unhealthy for him. And what if it makes him lean into his ghost side too much?"
"So you think we should let him go to school."
"Yes. ... But not pre-school. We'll teach him to not use his abilities around other kids, and then send him to Kindergarten."
"... Alright, Mads. If you think that's what's best, then that's what's best!"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Come on, that's it! Yes, yes, WHOO!" Maddie picks Danny up as soon as he walks over. "Who's a strong little Fenton? Who's the best little boy at walking in the whole wide world?"
"Danny!" Jazz cheers from the couch.
"Danny!" Maddie and Jack both cheer at once.
Danny laughs and squeals, kicking his legs and flapping his arms. His first proper Walk! Not just a step or two and then crawling, that was real walking!
Jack takes Danny, holding him aloft. "You're a real butt-kicker in the making, son! You'll be as strong as your old man someda-"
Jack feels something bump him, hard.
He shouts as he goes down! Danny going with him!
But as Jack meets the floor, he feels Danny's weight disappear from his hands!
He lands with an "oof", and looks up to see Danny floating above him, surrounded by a faint white aura. Danny looks down and babbles, sucking his thumb. Then... he moves.
He's only ever floated in place before. But as he looks down at his dad, he kicks his little legs and moves! Moving right across the room!
And then he looks behind his dad, and his breath comes out in puffs. He starts crying and wailing hysterically.
Jazz peers at where Danny is looking. "Mommy, hit the air with the stick!"
Maddie gently grabs Danny. "Why, sweetie?"
"Danny is scared! So we have to protect him!"
Maddie grabs her Fenton Baton, and gives the area Danny was looking at a good thwack. She expects it to go right through the empty air.
Instead there's a loud zap! There's a cry of pain! And then a semi-transparent form zooming out of their house!
Maddie's jaw drops. Jack scrambles to his feet and grabs every ghost weapon in radius, forming a protective circle around the family with them!
Maddie looks at Danny, who's now calm.
And his breath isn't visible.
Hmm...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"We're just seeing if my hypothesis is right," Maddie assures.
Jazz sobs, clinging onto her leg. "NOOOO! HE'LL GET HURT! OR STOLED!"
"Stolen, sweetie. And Mommy and Daddy would never let that happen."
Jazz scream-sobs again.
"What if we can promise you the ghost will be in a big, big box?"
Jazz looks at her mom with watery eyes. "Like around Danny's crib?"
"Yes, like that."
"But-but he's so little."
"It'll just be a second, sweetheart."
Jazz sniffles again. "... Can I hold the stick?"
Maddie smiles softly. "Yes, sweetie, you can hold the stick."
A couple hours later, Jack and Maddie return home with a ghost in a box. It's yelling something, but the box is soundproof.
Jack sets the box down, and goes to grab Danny. He comes back, and holds Danny firmly while walking towards the ghost. Danny's eyes are covered by a too-big hood on his little shirt. He can't see, or hear, that there's a ghost nearby.
Danny's breath comes out a visible puff about two feet away from the ghost, and he starts crying. Jack steps back a ways, and Danny's breaths become normal again. He settles down.
Jack walks closer. Puff of breath, and crying.
Jack steps back. Normal breath, calm Danny.
"He can sense ghost's," Maddie says, looking in awe at her baby boy. Her face breaks into a grin. "He's his own portable ghost detector! He'll never be caught unawares, he'll be able to always defend himself!"
She runs up to Jack and hugs them both, kissing Danny's little forehead. Danny babbles.
"He'll never be caught unawares," Maddie says again in relief. "Oh, this makes me feel so much better."
"Mommy? ... Does that mean we're haunted all the time?"
Maddie's relief hardens and breaks in her chest.
All those times Danny's Ghost Sense has gone off inside! All those times!
She pulls away. "Jack, we're upping our security!"
Jack nods. "Time for FentonWorks 2.0!"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Danny giggles as his dad chases him around the house. He phases through doors and turns invisible in hiding places, always giving himself away with laughter.
Jack grabs Danny just before he phases through the next door. “Gotcha!”
Danny laughs, happy little kid squeals that you can hear through the whole house. Jack puts Danny on his shoulders and heads into the kitchen. “He’s getting pretty good at running! Say, whatcha making, Mads?”
“Meatloaf. Would you mind helping?”
Jack sets Danny down at the table and helps Maddie make dinner, while Danny eyes something on the counter.
“Cookie.”
Maddie looks over. Danny is staring at the cookie jar. “No sweetie, no cookies yet.”
“Cookie!”
“Not yet.”
Danny starts to cry. “Cookie!”
Maddie walks over, and gives Danny his binkie. Danny refuses it af first, but once he has it he calms down fast.
He looks at the cookie jar still, though.
And, slowly, he lifts out of his chair. He kicks his little legs, pushing himself forward. He plops down on the counter, and reaches into the jar with an intangible hand.
He pulls out not one, but two cookies!
He gets so excited that he starts waving his arms, making happy noises.
Jack looks over. “What? Maddie, he’s gotten into the cookie jar!”
“I’ve got it!” Maddie walks over and scoops Danny up in his old Anti-Ghost-Phasing Blanket. Soft, warm, and totally ghost-proof.
Danny whines. “Cookie!”
“I said not yet, honey.” Maddie grabs the cookies and puts them on the counter. She safety pins the blanket around Danny like a little cape, except it takes away his powers.
Danny sits in his chair, throwing a fit! But to no avail. Eventually he just sits there, tear-faced and angry.
And then Jazz walks in. She looks over at the cookies, and then at Danny.
She walks over and snatches them off the counter as quick as she can! She casually walks over to the table, and hands them to Danny.
Danny brightens up. He shoves one cookie in his mouth, and gives the other back to Jazz. His original intention.
Jazz smiles, and scarfs the cookie down just before Maddie turns around.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Why?” Danny looks at his mom with wide, innocent eyes.
Maddie’s heart aches. “People might get scared.”
Danny frowns. “Scawy?”
“No, no, you aren’t scary. But the... idea of ghosts, for a lot of people, can be scary.”
Danny thinks, and then walks over to the fridge. “Scawy.”
Maddie looks at the drawing Danny is pointing at. It’s Jazz’s drawing of The Ghost.
The one that’s been haunting them for months.
Black horns, it looks like. Red eyes. Deathly blue skin. It makes Maddie shiver, knowing it had direct access to her children for so long.
Danny starts to cry. “I scawy!”
Maddie scoops him up. “No, no sweetie! You are nothing like that monster, nothing like it at all! And you never will be, I promise!” Maddie hugs him tightly. “Oh, my poor baby... how about we take a break? Do you want to help Jazz paint something?”
Danny sniffles, and nods. They head upstairs, leaving the talk for another day.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Kindergarten, Jack,” Maddie says, packing the little lunch box. “He’s already in Kindergarten!”
Jack is already openly sobbing as he makes Jazz a sandwich.
“Do you think he understands what he needs to do?” Maddie asks no-one in particular, just worrying.
“He understands perfectly!”
Maddie jumps a little, and turns around to see Jazz smiling proudly. Danny stands right next to her, a shyer smile on his face. Maddie tears up at the sight of him with his little backpack and school outfit on.
Jazz looks at Danny. “Go ahead! Show them what we practiced!”
Danny puffs out his chest to look strong. “I won’t go through anything, turn invi-invisi- um, turn not-seeing-me, I won’t fly, and, um... and if I feel another ghost, I’ll use this!” He pulls his little Fenton Emergency Pager out of his pocket.
Maddie wipes her eyes. “Perfect, honey,” she says, letting the pride seep into her voice. “Oh, my baby boy! Growing up so fast!” She picks him up and kisses his face. Danny wraps his arms around her neck.
“Do I have to go, mommy? They’ll think I’m scary.”
“Oh, honey. You aren’t scary, I promise.”
“... What if I need to be scary?”
“Mommy will come be scary for you.”
“She very good at it,” Jack chimes in, shivering a little as he remembers the time a ghost attacked while Maddie was buying Danny’s first pair of little shoes. By the time it was over, Jack almost pitied the thing.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maddie gives Danny one last hug. “Remember, calls u anytime you need us, okay?”
He nods. “I love you, Mommy. I love you, Daddy. I love you, Jazz.”
“You’re just going to school, not saying bye forever.” Even as Jazz says it, her lip wobbles and her voice cracks.
Danny floats up to the car window give her a hug, before being quickly held up by Maddie to cover the power use.
“That’s the only time today you’ll do that,” she reminds him.
Danny nods.
Eventually... the goodbyes are done being dragged out. Danny’s family drives away as the teacher leads him inside.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Danny sits on a swing by himself, not sure what to do.
Usually at home he plays using his powers. He doesn’t know how to be good at tag without making it so people can’t touch him, or how to play hide-and-seek without turning invisible.
He kicks the sand. This is stupid. He misses Jazz. He can play with her.
“Hi.”
Danny looks up. Another young boy is standing in front of him, holding some kind of electronic. The boy holds out his hand. “I’m Tucker.”
Danny shakes his hand, focusing very hard on keeping it a real hand. “I’m Danny.”
Tucker shows him the electronic. “Want to play my game?"
Danny looks at it. It’s a coloring game. He nods.
They pass it back and forth between each other for a while, both coloring in different parts of the same picture.
Eventually it’s time to back in. Danny and Tucker ask if they can sit closer together.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“So, how was it?” Maddie asks, gripping the steering wheel tightly as she picks Danny up. “Have fun?”
“I made a friend!” Danny yells! “His name is Tucker and he’s really nice!”
Maddie relaxes. “Oh? How did you meet?”
“He let me play his coloring game!”
“That’s wonderful!”
“We made a tower out of blocks and it was the strongest ever! And I never used my powers!”
“I’m so proud of you, sweetie!”
Maybe Maddie can stop worrying now. ... Probably not.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“What if we gave it big scary horns?” Danny says as he doodled something in crayon. “Like the thing that watches my window.”
Tucker looks at him with wide eyes. “A monster watches you?”
“My parents don’t let it touch me. They hunt ghosts.”
“Oh. Do you hunt ghosts?”
Danny shakes his head. “I’m too little.”
“Oh. Me too.”
“You should give it bat wings.”
They both look up. The quiet girl who usually sits in the back is standing in front of them, her hair pulled back in a tight black braid and her clothes perfectly pressed.
Danny looks at the drawing, and nods. He adds the wings. “We’re drawing the monster from that story we heard today.”
The girl sits down. “I bet it had claws. And could breathe black fire!”
Danny adds them on. “You’re really smart!”
The girl nods. “I am.”
“I’m Danny.”
“I’m Tucker!”
The girl grins. “I’m Samatha.”
“Wow... that’s a long name,” Danny says, eyes wide. “My sister has a long name too. Do all girls have long names?”
Samantha thinks. “I dunno. I haven’t met all girls.”
“Oh. We don’t know all boys, either.”
They spend the rest of free time coloring. Once it’s over, Samantha moves to sit with them.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“So, how was today, sweetie?”
“I made another friend! She’s really good, and her parents make her have long hair but she wants it short, and we made this with her!” He shows Maddie the drawing.
Maddie grimaces a little, but turns it into a smile. “It’s lovely, dear. Looks... a little like Jazz’s picture.”
Danny nods.”The monster in the story lived in the window. So does this ghost.”
“... What?”
“He lives by my window. But he can’t come inside, so I make faces at him and make him mad.”
Maddie speeds up a little. “Danny, we’re going to be altering your windows when we get home. Okay?”
“Okay.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Danny leads Sam and Tucker to his room with his tiny arms full of snacks. He brings them inside, and proudly stands in the middle. “This is my room!”
"Cool!” Tucker exclaims. “Whoa, you have a computer?”
Danny shakes his head. “That’s to keep ghosts out. Ghosts hate us.”
“You’ve seen some?” Samantha asks, eyes wide.
Danny grins. “So many!”
“Can we see some?”
“Sure, I can even-”
They hear a gasp in the doorway. Turning to look, they see Jazz. “Danny, you didn’t let me meet your friends!”
Danny looks horrified. “Oh no!” He runs over and pulls Jazz into the room. “This is my big sister Jazz! She’s the coolest big sister!”
“I’m Tucker!”
“I’m Sam!”
Jazz grins. “Guess what I learned yesterday?” She points out of the room. “How to use the remote!”
The trio of toddler’s eyes sparkle. They cheer for Jazz as all of them descend, ready to Take Control Of The TV!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“-and this is The Box Ghost,” Danny says, showing his friends the doodle him and Jazz made at home. “He’s silly. He wants to be scary, but he isn’t.”
Tucker and Samantha nods like it the most important thing they’ll ever learn.
Danny pulls out the next drawing. “This is Scary, the ghost from my window.” It’s a new drawing, a little more detailed thanks to Jazz being better at drawing now. And Danny having seen the face so, so many times. “I don’t see him anymore. Mom and Dad kicked him out of the window.”
“He’s ugly,” Samantha says, wrinkling her nose.
“He looks stinky,” Tucker agrees.
Danny looks over at the window. “Shhhh! He’s here!”
Tucker and Samantha look at the window. They see nothing.
They look back at Danny. They see little puffs coming out of his mouth, and his eyes are the wrong color.
Danny pulls his pager out. “It’s okay. Mommy will come scare him away.”
“We can’t see him,” Samantha says.
Danny nods. “He’s hard to see.”
“Do you have to have glowy eyes like yours?” Tucker asks. “I have to have glasses. Are your eyes like Ghost Glasses?”
Danny thinks, and then nods. “I guess so. ... OH NO!” He covers his eyes. “You aren’t supposed to see that!”
“Why not?”
“Mommy said it’s a secret! You’ll think I’m scary!”
“But it’s not scary.”
Danny tilts his head, still covering his eyes. “It’s not?”
“No, it’s cool!”
He slowly uncovers his eyes. “... Do... you think this is scary?” He holds out his arm, and makes it invisible.
Tucker and Samantha gasp! Danny pulls his arm back, about to cry. They think he’s scary, they won’t be his friends anymore-
“That’s so cool,” Samantha says.
“I wanna do that!” Tucker exclaims.
Danny can’t believe it for a second. And then he grins. “I can do more stuff too! I’ll show you at my house!”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maddie paces the floor while Danny sits on the couch, his little face burning with shame.
Jazz sits next to him, arms crossed. Jack stands in front of him, Maddie pacing beside her husband.
“You told your friends?” Maddie asks again.
Danny nods, keeping his head low. “I didn’t mean to. I saw Scary, and my eyes turned green, and I can’t fix that.”
Maddie sighs. “I know, sweetie, but you showed them more after! We caught you flying them around your room! How can you even carry both of them at once?!”
“It’s easy when I’m a ghost,” he says, still keeping his head low. “Everything’s easy when I’m a ghost.”
Maddie stops pacing. “Oh, sweetie... I know it must be strange for you to suddenly have to hide it.”
Danny nods. He sniffles a little.
“It’s for your own safety, son,” Jack says. “You understand that, right? We just want you to be safe.”
“Other kids can be mean, Danny,” Jazz says. “I’m smart, and some kids are mean to me for that.”
“But Samantha and Tucker aren’t mean!”
“No, they aren’t,” Maddie concedes. “... I guess what’s done is done. Danny?” She kneels down in front of him and gently lifts his head up, wiping his tears away. “We aren’t mad. We’re worried. They’re your friends, but they also don’t understand this the way we do.”
“... Can you make them understand?”
Maddie nods. “We’ll absolutely have a talk with them. You can go get them from your room right now, even. But Danny? No-one else. Okay? These two kids are the only kids you will ever tell. Promise?”
Danny nods, still sniffling. “Promise.”
Maddie puts on her HAZMAT glove and holds out her pinkie. “Fenton promise?”
Danny links her pinkie with his, letting it go ghostly. “Fenton promise, Mommy.”
“Okay. You can send your friends down now.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Danny waits for his mom to come pick him up, Samantha and Tucker sitting next to him.
Samantha looks up suddenly. “I don’t like my name.”
Danny and Tucker look at her.
She stands up. “From now on, my name is... is Sam!”
Danny and Tucker clap, because they learned that’s the polite thing to do when someone has a dramatic moment like this. They learned it from watching the older kids do a play.
Sam sits back down. “I’m Sam,” she says happily. “Sam.”
“Sam is a good name,” Danny says.
“Easier to write,” Tucker says.
“Yeah.” Sam is very proud of her new name.
They wait a bit longer, and a long black car pulls up. Sam stands up, but her parents don’t step out.
A tall, white-haired man does, one none of them have ever met before. He smiles down at them. “Hello, Danny. Hello, Danny’s friends.”
“Who are you?”
“I’m a friend of Danny’s parents,” he says, giving a slight bow (or maybe just bending over to hear them better since they’re so much shorter than him).
“I don’t know you,” Danny says, accusatory. “Mrs. Emma told us about people like you!”
The Man shakes his head. “I’m not a stranger, I promise. Your parents and I are very close.”
“I don’t know you,” Danny says again. He steps between The Man and his friends. “I’m gonna tell Mrs. Emma on you.”
“Danny, really, your mother called and asked me to pick you up.”
“You liar! She always picks me up!”
“She’s fighting a ghost right now.”
“She leaves fights to come get me!”
The Man sighs. He grabs Danny’s arm. “Stubborn like your parents. Come on, I promise you’ll be fine.”
“NO!” Danny yanks his arm, trying to get away. “LET GO OF ME!”
“Stop making a scene!”
“LET GO! YOU-”
Danny gaps, a puff of breath coming out and his eyes turning green.
“S-Scary,” he whimpers. “SCARY! MOMMY! MOMMMYYYY! SCARY HAS ME!!! HELP!!!”
Danny yanks again, Tucker and Sam finally running inside to get Mrs. Emma!
The Man scowls. “I’m trying to help you, little badger!”
“YOU’RE THE SCARY IN THE WINDOW!” Danny looks at him with bright eyes, tearful and afraid. “GET AWAY!!!”
Danny’s little hand glows green, and suddenly The Man is clutching his stomach instead of Danny’s arm. Danny runs inside, right into Mrs. Emma’s arms. He sobs to her as she frantically calls the police, trying to read the plate of the car speeding off into the distance.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maddie hands Jazz a Baton. “This is in case this ‘Scary’ come after you,” Maddie says, still shaking a bit. “Okay?”
Jazz nods.
“Danny, this is for you.” Maddie hands him a black-and-white suit. “This is to keep other ghosts from sensing you, okay? So wear it under your clothes.”
Danny nods, still crying.
Maddie looks at Sam and Tucker. Their parents were late picking them up, but with the attempted kidnapping it was decided that they’ll stay with The Fentons for a few hours until their parents could get them.
“You two get these.” She hands them Fenton Pagers, and Fenton Fun-Sized Ghost Stunners. “They can hurt people too, so only use them on ghosts. Or if someone tries to do... what you saw today, ever again.”
Sam and Tucker nod.
“And Danny? From now on, wait with Mrs. Emma until we come inside to get you.”
“Yes, Mommy.”
“And when I get my hands on this ‘Scary’, I promise you’ll never have to worry about him again.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Danny looks around to see if anyone is watching. He, Tucker, and Sam are crouched under a desk in the classroom while everyone else is out at recess.
He holds out his hand to the stack of paper, and closes his eyes. For a second, nothing happens.
And then it glows green, and a small beam shoots from his hand! Tucker and Sam gasp!
“You’re like a superhero!” Tucker exclaims, standing up.
“A ghost superhero!” Sam says, standing up too. “You need a superhero name!”
Danny shoots up, smiling widely. “What should it be?”
They all think for a long, long time.
Sam perks up. “I know!”
She grabs a book from the corner. The book is a Halloween one, mostly for pictures with just a few words. She flips to a page, and points to it. “This word! It means Ghost!”
Danny and Tucker peer at it. “How do you say it?” Tucker asks.
Sam grins. “Phantom!”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Phantom?” Maddie says, looking at the doodle.
Jack nods. “Apparently Sam came up with it! Our boy wants to be a ghost hunter after all!”
“Superhero, this says.”
“Same thing!”
“Jack, what’re you making there?”
Jack holds up the suit, one of the prototype Anti-Ghost-Detection suits for Danny. “I got out my old needlepointing stuff and am making him a superhero costume! See, it’s a P!”
Maddie squints, trying to get a better look at the outline. “It looks like a D.”
Jack looks at it. “Hmm. I guess from some angles. But it’s a P! Or, DP! Danny Phantom!”
Maddie’s expression goes soft. “Awww! Okay, you keep making that, and I’ll hang this doodle on the fridge! But no actual ghost fighting until he’s at least fourteen, right?”
“Absolutely!”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Danny steps into the school “Halloween Party” with his hands on his hips and a bright grin, looking like a mini-version of his dad behind him.
“Aww, and what are you dressed as, Danny?” Mrs. Emma asks.
“A superhero ghosthunter!” Danny says proudly. “My parents made this for me!”
“It’s great,” Mrs. Emma says genuinely. “Alright, go mingle! We’re going to make paper jack-o-lanterns later so now is the time to trade candies!”
Danny walks over to his friends, still striking the pose. Tucker, dressed as a robot made out of cardboard boxes, pouts in slight jealousy as Danny comes over. Sam, dressed as a vampire, grins. “P for Phantom!” she yells.
Danny runs over faster. “Yeah! My dad put the logo on!” He shows it off proudly. “I’m gonna be the best ghosthunter ever!”
“You can work from the inside!” Tucker says, getting over his jealousy thankfully quick. “Make them think you wanna haunt stuff too!”
“Yeah!” Danny strikes another pose. “But I’m actually going to catch them all, because I’m Danny Phantom!”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Danny and Jazz are playing with dolls in the living room. “Pow! Take that!” Danny shouts, making his doll punch Jazz’s.
“Nooo!” Jazz cries out in a husky voice. “But how? I’m The Scary! Nothing can not fear me!”
“I don’t fear you!” Danny waves the hand of his doll, making laser noises. Jazz shakes her doll around, making dying noises. “I’m Danny Phantom, the strongest ghost boy ever!”
“Nooooo!”
Maddie chuckles, watching them. “That Scary better watch out for more than just us.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Where are we going?” Danny asks again.
“It’s a surprise!” Jack says again, still as excited as when the road trip started.
Danny huffs, looking out the window again. “Why couldn’t Sam and Tucker come?”
“Because they’re spending Summer visiting their families,” Maddie says. “And so are we, sort of.”
“I though Auntie lived in Spittoon,” Jazz says.
“She does! This is different.”
After hours (years in the minds of the kids), they pull up to a mansion. All fo the boredom washes away instantly, Jazz and Danny cramming into the window to see it!
“Are we rich?” Jazz demands to know.
“We’re well-off, but not quite. Welcome to your honorary Uncle Vlad’s house!” Maddie cheers.
“Vlad was out best friend in college!” Jack says, grinning. “He got back in contact with us a few years ago and we’ve been thick as thieves since! He asked us too come over this weekend, and we thought we’d surprise him and let him meet your two at the same time!”
Danny and Jazz cheer! THEY GET TO STAY IN A MANSION!
The family piles out of the car, and stand in front of the door! Maddie and Jack make sure Jazz and Danny look extra nice, and ring the doorbell!
It takes a long minute, so they ring it again!
Finally, a man opens it up! “Oh, Maddie, Jack, I’m so sorry I didn’t hear-”
Danny shrieks. His eyes are glowing bright as they can, his breaths giant puffs! He holds up his hand and send a little beam right into Vlad’s side!
Vlad falls back with an “Oof!”
“Danny!” Maddie scoops him up. “What on earth has gotten into you? Oh, Danny!”
Danny is sobbing pointing at Vlad. “It-it’s him! The-The Scary! He-he tried to take me!”
Maddie and Jack freeze. Slowly, they both look at Vlad. Jazz pulls out her Baton.
“Vlad?” Maddie says coldly.
“Didn’t I only invite you two?” Vlad wheezes.
Jack points a ghost detector at Vlad. It goes off.
“Now, now, I can explai- AGCK!”
Jazz starts happening him with the Baton before he can finish his sentence. Maddie hands Danny to Jack. “Sweetie, close the door and take Danny back to the truck. I need to have a word with Vlad.”
Jack does as told, holding Danny in his lap and soothing him.
“He-he tried to take me,” Danny sobs again.
“Don’t worry, son.” Jack hugs him tightly. “No-one’s ever going to be able to do that. We’ll always keep you safe. We promise.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“And what do we always wear while testing new devices?” Maddie asks, handing Danny a Fenton Ghost-Zapper that would use Danny’s own ghost energy to work.
Danny grins, and puts it on. “Face mask!”
“Because?”
“Because lab safety is very important!”
Maddie grins. “That’s right! And who do we thank for reminding us of that every time we’re in the lab?”
Danny points. “Jazz! Thank you, Jazz!”
Jazz grins proudly.

Many special happy birthdays today! Happy birthday Cas! And happy birthday to @you-cant-spell-subtext-without and @reblogging4thewin!
"There's been a lot of firsts this year," Dean said, pushing a pumpkin across their outdoor table towards Cas with a soft smile.
Cas traced his hand along the ridges of the pumpkin; the one he'd picked with Dean at the pumpkin patch that morning. Even though Dean had said it was far too early in the season for pumpkins, he'd still smiled warmly as Cas wandered around the maze of fruits choosing the ones he wanted.
Shifting his eyes to the orange and yellow pansies and dahlias they'd both just spent the last hour planting, Cas let out a content hum. Every day felt like a new first, and Cas wanted a million more firsts with Dean.
"And today is one of those firsts?" Cas asked, even though he knew it was. He'd known from the moment he'd opened his eyes that morning; a single rose perched on his nightstand with a little note from Dean that said, 'Meet me in the kitchen, handsome.'
Pancakes with syrup and French Toast covered their newly painted sky-blue kitchen table, and when Dean had pulled him into a soft kiss, Cas had almost melted at the tender way Dean's fingers stroked along his jaw. "Happy birthday, Cas," Dean had murmured against his lips, and God, Cas swore he fell even more in love with Dean at that moment.
"Yes, today is one of those firsts," Dean said, shaking Cas from his reminiscing of their morning together. He watched for a moment as Dean picked up a knife and cut along the top of the pumpkin until he could reach inside.
"And why is that?" Cas asked, copying Dean's motions until he'd taken the top of the pumpkin off and started to spoon out the pulp into the bowl Dean had brought outside for them. Something about wanting to use the pulp to make Cas a pumpkin cake for his birthday. When Dean had proposed the idea that morning of baking a pumpkin cake for him, the thought had been so endearing that Cas had leaned across the kitchen table to kiss Dean once… okay maybe twice. Alright, maybe a dozen times. Maybe he just liked kissing Dean.
Now, Dean reached out across their patio table, locking their fingers together until their rings clinked against each other. "It's the first time we're really celebrating your birthday. 13 years ago you came into my life and became part of this family. And now it's special because this is the first time we're celebrating your birthday as husbands."
As if to emphasize the words, Dean tugged on Cas' hand until he could brush his lips over the ring on Cas' finger. Their hands were messy from the pumpkins but Cas didn't care. Not when Dean's lips pressed so tenderly against his ring finger before light kisses were dotted across his knuckles.
"The first time we're celebrating Halloween together, here, in our first home," Dean continued, gesturing to the pumpkins they were carving into Jack-o-lanterns. Decorating together even though Halloween was still weeks away, because they could do that now. Here, in their little house they were slowly renovating. Here, where they were starting their future together. They could celebrate anything they wanted.
A cool breeze wrapped around them, causing red and orange leaves to dance along the grass and up towards the table. The perfect autumn weather.
Cas was happy. Really happy. And he'd known that for a while, but the slow-drawn realization was enough to steal the air from Cas' lungs. When he looked up at Dean, it was like seeing him again for the first time; a bright radiating soul bursting with love and potential. When Cas had first laid eyes on him, he'd had no idea what that potential was going to blossom into. That it would create love and happiness and family.
"When is Jack coming back home?" Cas asked, suddenly filled with an urge to have his family close, not because they were in danger, but just because he loved them.
"Sam and Eileen said they'd bring him back from their last minute birthday shopping trip in less than an hour. So we'd better hurry up and carve these pumpkins so we can get some space for them to make their own Jack-o-lanterns when they get back," Dean said.
And there was that smile again on Dean's face. The same soft smile had been on his lips all day, as if Dean was seeing him for the first time in a whole new light. Awe and adoration. Love and sheer bliss.
Thirty minutes later, they were still carving pumpkins (they might've gotten a little distracted when Dean tugged Cas around the table and pulled him down until he could kiss Cas slow and deep) Jack came bounding into the garden with a large bag in his hands. "Happy birthday, Dad," Jack said, placing the bag in front of Cas. Wiping his hands on a towel, Cas reached into the bag and pulled out a collection of gardening tools designed with bees. Handles on tools shaped like bees, overalls with little bees dancing across the material, and a small ceramic bee to keep in the flowerbed. "Your two favorite things, bees and gardening."
Cas felt his heart swell in his chest, and he placed a gentle kiss on Jack's forehead. "Thank you, Jack."
"Alright, Kid, grab a pumpkin and let's get craving. Unless you don't want to help me bake Cas' birthday cake?" Dean teased.
Jack quickly scrambled to grab a pumpkin, sitting down next to Cas and copying him as he began to carve his pumpkin.
Sam and Eileen quickly joined the carving festivities, until 5 large pumpkins had been carved and a massive bowl had been filled with pulp and seeds. The pumpkins were decorated with ghosts and faces, sigils and even their names. Dean nudged his carved pumpkin over to Cas, and Cas felt that overwhelming love burning in his chest again. Dean and Cas Winchester was carved into the pumpkin; a little candle flickering inside and lighting their names up in a warm glow. Just another reminder they really were married. Cas kissed Dean like he had on their wedding night; achingly slow and full of every last drop of his love.
Baking the cake turned into a family affair, with Cas watching from the kitchen table and laughing as everyone made a mess. Dean kept sneaking over to Cas and kissing him every few minutes, until Cas snagged Dean and pulled him down into the chair; watching Jack and Eileen decorating the cake, which included Jack shoving as many candles as he could into the top with a playful laugh.
Wishes were made, cake was eaten, and Cas felt more loved than he'd ever imagined he could feel.
Once the festivities had wound down, with Jack off to bed and Sam and Eileen back at their own home, Cas sat in the kitchen watching as Dean cleaned the dishes. He ran his fingers over the handle of the Angel blade Dean had gifted him this morning; tracing his fingertips over the engraving.
Cas Winchester. Husband. Father. Brother. Angel, you are our family.
The gifting of the blade wasn't lost on Cas; a callback to Dean stabbing him in the heart 13 years ago. Except now, all these years later, Dean has gone and stolen his heart. And Cas wouldn't have it any other way.
When Dean joined him at the table a few minutes later, tilting Cas' head to nudge him into a breathtaking kiss, Cas sighed blissfully. "I love you,” he whispered.
Dean shook his head, kissing Cas again and again until Cas felt dizzy. “I love you. Happy birthday, Cas.”

A Pain You'll Soon Regret - Pt. 3
Poly!MC Summary: MC and the demon lords get in a fight resulting in MC leaving. They planned on going to Purgatory Hall until things cool off, but they never quite make it there. TW: Heavy Angst, Violence, I don’t know what to tag this, but there is a pretty nasty verbal fight, Gore/Injury
***I legitimately teared up while writing this. This...This is heavy folks. Please remember to take care of yourselves before, during, and after reading this fic. Be safe lovelies ❤ -B ***
Part 1: HERE, Part 2: HERE, Part 4: HERE
The day had passed by agonizingly slow. The brothers really had no choice but to follow Solomon's orders, so they waited. With every second they could feel the invisible hands grasping their hearts squeeze tighter and tighter.
None of them had left the living room where they had gathered. They were all too frightened that an update on your condition would come in and they wouldn't be there to receive it. At least that's what was silently agreed upon. In reality, they were each taking comfort in being with the only people that could possibly understand what the other was going through.
No one knew what to do or say. There really was nothing to do or say. They had promised to always protect you, and because of a foolish argument, they had failed that in the worst way possible. Finally, after nearly twelve hours of radio silence, Asmodeus's D.D.D. dinged.
Asmodeus had never taken his phone out so quickly before. "Simeon and I are awake. MC is still unconscious. We will let you in and try to get you to see MC. Luke is still adamant about not letting you all in, so be ready for him," Asmo read out loud. Satan huffed as he started towards the door. "I don't care who Luke thinks he is, he's not stopping us from seeing our partner. Let's go."
*** As they arrived at the Hall, all of them were shocked to see a trail of now dried blood leading to the doorway. No matter how long it had been there, the scent still made it glaringly obvious that it was yours. Asmodeus gagged and turned his head away from the sight. "If it's already this bad out here, what are we going to be walking into?" He managed to choke out.
Lucifer swallowed down the lump in his throat and marched ahead. "It doesn't matter. Right now, MC needs us. We failed to be there for them earlier, I refuse to do so again." The eldest lead the charge to the front door of Purgatory Hall. He raised his fist to knock when several voices started shouting from the other side. "You never should've called them here!" "Luke, that's not for you to decide. They're-" "I don't care who they are!!!"
The door suddenly was thrown open just enough to reveal Luke.
You would think that the small angel was the Avatar of Wrath and not Satan. He glared at them with all the fury of the Celestial army. His face was red and his teeth were bared in a snarl. Despite all this anger, however, his eyes were still tinged red with tears.
"Leave now! You're not welcome here!" he barked before going to slam the door; Beel quickly caught it with his hand. "We're not leaving until we see MC." A growl that they had never thought they would hear from sweet little Luke, vibrated from deep within his chest before he began throwing himself at the door, clearly doing everything he could to try and close it.
"NO!!! You don't deserve to see them! You monsters are the reason they're like this! GET OUT! LEAVE!!" Simeon suddenly appeared from within the Hall and pulled Luke against his chest. "Luke, stop it! You're going to hurt yourself!" The young angel screamed and struggled as Simeon softly shushed him. It wasn't long before the screams turned into sobs and Luke broke down in Simeon's arms. The brothers didn't know how to react. Was the state you were in truly so bad to merit such an emotional response from Luke? Dread began to grow more and more within them as guilt kept them frozen in place.
The older angel sighed and gently began to rub Luke's back, before looking at the brothers with an emotionless expression. "As you can see, Luke is greatly concerned with MC's well-being, as we all are," he tightened his hold on Luke before he continued. "You may see them-" "WHA- Simeon, no!!!" Simeon gently shushed him and ran a hand through Luke's hair. "I know. I know you don't want them to, Luke, but they love MC just like you do. At the very least, we should let them see the results of their negligence, don't you think?" The lords winced at the jab and the harsh edges on Simeon's words. It was clear that no one in that house truly wanted them there. Luke pouted. "Fine. But I want to be in the room when they do." Simeon nodded and released the young angel. "Of course. I'm sure MC will be grateful for how attentive you've been to them when they wake up." He ruffled Luke's hair before glancing at the brothers once again. "Follow me." Their footsteps echoed through the quiet halls like a death knell. Each one rang louder and louder in the ears of the worried demons. They hadn't even seen you yet, and even so, each and every one of them were already beginning to wonder how they could ever let this happen to you. Images of you might look like flashed inside their heads. Perhaps you would resemble a mummy from the number of bandages required to heal you. Perhaps you would resemble a corpse, half-dead as you struggled to keep your heartbeat steady. No matter what they imagined, however, nothing prepared them for the real thing. Simeon swung open the doors to the lounge without any word or warning. The brothers' stumbled to a stop and collectively choked at the sight. You were laid out on the table in the middle of the room. Gauze covered a large section of the left side of your cheek and a strip around the circumference of your head. What little skin was visible was sunken in, making you appear dead. If it hadn't been for the shallow rising and falling of your chest, the brothers most certainly would have believed you were. Solomon had been in the process of checking the bandages on your shoulder when they entered, giving each of them a good eye full of the deep bite marks that covered your shoulder, collarbone and neck. There was so much red, that they could barely make out what was an injury and what wasn't. With a nauseous thought, they realized that small chunks of skin had even been torn from the flesh. They must have had to remove your clothes at some point during your healing process, for the only thing that covered you was a thin blanket that was trapped over your torso. All, except Satan, recognized it as one of the blankets from the Celestial realm. Though Satan had put two and two together when he spotted the small tag hanging from a corner with Luke's name written on it in golden cursive. The fact that you were barely covered meant that they could clearly see your bandaged thighs and the small, bandaged, stump of where your leg had been cut off from the knee down. The silence was cut off by a strangled sob from Asmodeus.
Solomon's head snapped as he only now noticed everyone. Rather than moving comfort the demon whom he's had a pact with for centuries, Solomon only narrowed his eyes into a glare and silently went back to work.
Asmodeus moved towards you, shakily reaching out a hand to touch. But he was stopped as Luke quickly slapped the hand away. The angel starred icily at him. "They're still recovering, you idiot. Touch them with your filthy infernal hands and you could infect and kill them."
Asmodeus snarled through his tears, and opened his mouth to shout at Luke, but was stopped when a hand sat on his shoulder. He glanced over to see Satan shaking his head as tears ran down his cheeks.
"He's right," Satan whispered, not bothering to hide the pain in his tone. "They're in an extremely fragile state. We should all, at the very least, wash our hands first." the others looked at him surprised. There wasn't a trace of anger in his voice. Only grief and regret. Satan looked over at Solomon, "Then I'm sure we'd all like to sit with them?"
The others held their breath as they waited for the reply, but Solomon simply remained silent and refused to acknowledge them. "Please," Beelzebub begged through a sob. Belphie held on tightly to his twin's hand. It may have looked as though he had down it to comfort Beel, but in reality, that hand was the only thing keeping him on his feet. Beel took in a stuttered breath before continuing, "W-We messed up last night, and we can't t-take that back, but I-I need to be with them right now. Please. I-I can't leave them again." Again there was only silence, with the exception of Luke grumbling under his breath from where he sat beside you. Mammon huffed and moved towards the basin of water that had been set up on a side table. "Well I'm done waiting for permission," he thoroughly washed his hands and moved towards MC when Simeon moved in front of him. Mammon growled and had to keep himself from bursting into his demon form. "What's the big deal?! You said we could see 'em!" "I said see. Not touch," the angel provided pointedly. Leviathan frowned and came to Mammon's side. "Luke is literally holding their hand right now! He cleaned his hands! There's no reason why Luke should be able to touch them, when we, their significant others can't!" Luke's nostrils flared as he went to lunge at the demon, but was stopped by Solomon putting a hand on his shoulder. The young angel huffed and settled for snarling at them. "I was the one that saved them! I was the one that washed the blood off of their skin after Simeon and Solomon both nearly collapsed from exhaustion after working for four hours straight on keeping them alive. I was there for them! And you weren't!" "We messed up!" Leviathan screamed back, his demon form bursting into existence as he cried. "We messed up and we want to make things better! We want to be there for them now! You can't just keep us from them!" "Leviathan," Lucifer placed a hand on his younger brother's shoulder. "Breathe. Please, I know you're upset. We all are. But we shouldn't forget what caused all of this in the first place." Leviathan ripped himself away from Lucifer's grasp and turned away from everyone. The occasional sob could be heard from him as his shoulders trembled. Lucifer sighed and looked pleadingly at Simeon. "Simeon, please. I know you owe us nothing and that MC may not even want to see them when they awake. But look at them. They're-" he cut himself off as his voice cracked and took a deep breath, "We're a mess. Please, just let us have a moment with them. That's all I ask." For the first time, Simeon's expression softened. He gathered up Luke and nodded at Solomon. The wizard pursed his lips in annoyance and glanced at the brothers once more before leaving the room. Simeon gave Lucifer a hard look as he held on tightly to Luke. "You will notify us immediately should even the slightest thing change from their current condition." Luke gaped at his fellow angel. "Simeon! No! We can't just leave them with those demons! Are you insane?" Simeon gave Luke a small smile. "They won't hurt them. I truly believe they wish to reconcile things and apologize for their words and actions. No matter how upset you may feel, this isn't our relationship Luke. It is not our place to meddle. MC will be safe with them." Luke grumbled under his breath and glowered at the brothers. "If so much as a hair is out of place when I get back, not even Micheal will be able to stop me from the vengeance I will inflict upon you." Mammon opened his mouth make a comeback, but was cut off by Lucifer. "Understood. Thank you for looking after our beloved in our absence." Luke scoffed and shook his head, before leaving with Simeon following behind him. The brothers stood in the room alone. They were with you, and yet they had never felt so far from you. ***To be continued in part 4! Still don't quite know how this will end, but it's bound to hurt. Sorry not sorry. In between uploading parts of this series, I will be doing other fics as well, just since this seems to be quite longer than I
had originally thought 😅 Thank you all for supporting this series! I hope you enjoyed it. Remember to drink water and take care of yourselves! I love you all!***

house hunting
Tumblr media
A/n: hello!! I’ve been having a mad case of writers block, so @goldenbluesuit‘s list of prompts was posted just in time! Thank you and i hope you all enjoy!! thank u @harryysstyless and @nationalharryleague for looking this over also :) Love u guyssss!
summary: newly engaged y/n and harry realize they have very different tastes in homes when they begin house hunting!!!
warnings: smut
word count: ~3.3k
my ko-fi! thank you :)
. ⋅ ˚̣- : ✧ : – ⭒ ⊹ ⭒ – : ✧ : -˚̣⋅ .
With all the joys that came with being engaged, there was a good deal of logistics that you hadn’t even thought of when you excitedly told Harry, “Duh, of course, I’ll marry you!” just four short months ago. Should you wed in the fall or wait until the spring? Outdoors or indoors? These were things that you and Harry went back and forth about most nights, cuddled in bed next to each other before drifting off to sleep.
Something you were most excited about, though, was finally owning a home with Harry. You practically lived together as it was, seeing that you were at his place most nights. Still, his home wasn’t yours—you were reminded every time you had to grab something forgotten from your apartment. Or when he was away for work and you couldn’t bear to be in his large, empty house by yourself.
So while you already knew each other’s grossest habits, (Harry loved asking you to pop his back pimples) you didn’t yet own a home together. Sadly, house hunting was turning out to be a less-than-joyous task when you and Harry were looking for completely different things.
“I jus’ think we’re cottage-style people… that’s all,'' your fiancé’s hand rests on your thigh while you wait in his car for the real estate agent to arrive. “This one’s nice, yeah, but is it who we are?”
You refrain from rolling your eyes at him. “You’re only saying that because they remind you of home.”
“So? They’re lovely,” he sounds a little defensive, but not mad. Your response  to Harry is interrupted as the real estate agent pulls into the driveway.
“Be nice,” you remind him as you open your door to let yourself out. “I understand the Craftsman isn’t your first choice, but she worked hard to find this place for us. At least go into it with an open mind.”
Your fiancé mutters something under his breath, but you know he’ll behave himself––he didn’t have a mean bone in his body. Harry’s demeanor immediately changes once the real estate agent is within earshot, turning on his signature English charm. “Thank you for meeting my fiancée and me today. We’re both very excited to check out this lovely home.”
Since you’re privy to the reality of the situation, you can tell he’s laying it on a bit thick, but your agent is loving it. “You’ll both fall in love, I know it,” she begins her ascent up the long driveway and you and Harry follow behind hand-in-hand. “Six bedrooms, eleven bathrooms, and nearly twenty thousand square feet. You can’t beat it.”
Harry seems unphased by the enormous size of the house, but your breath hitches in your throat. Did the two of you actually need this much room? The house appeared to be even bigger than the one Harry owned now––you knew you would hate staying here when he was away for work except this time, you wouldn’t have a quaint apartment and a roommate to go back to when you were feeling lonely.
“H, ‘s kinda big…” you’re trying to speak quietly enough so the real estate agent doesn’t hear you. “I don’t know if I like it.”
“What’s tha’? We haven’t even gotten inside, love,” Harry stops walking to give you his full attention. “You don’t like it?”
“Just the driveway by itself is enormous,” you feel your cheeks growing warm. “I would be too scared to stay here by myself.”
Harry hums in agreement. “Can we have just a moment, please?” He sweetly turns to face the real estate agent who insists you take your time, walking farther up the driveway to give the two of you privacy.
“We’ve not seen the inside, doll. Gotta at least do that,” Harry’s hands run along your bare arms. “‘Member what you jus’ told me? Let’s go into it with an open mind. Don’t have to place an offer on it or anything.”
“Okay…” you’re reluctant and Harry can tell, but neither one of you want to be rude to the real estate agent. “You’re right. I guess it doesn’t hurt to just check it out.”
Harry gives you a dimpled grin. “Y’never know. Might fall in love with it, puppy,” Harry leans in so close that you can feel his breath on your nose. “Besides, think of all the rooms we’d get to have a shag in if we moved in here.”
. ⋅ ˚̣- : ✧ : – ⭒ ⊹ ⭒ – : ✧ : -˚̣⋅ .
“I hate it.”
“What’s there to hate? Look at how cozy it is.”
“Don’t like the color.”
“It’s nothing to slap a fresh coat of paint on the outside.”
You open your mouth and then close it in defeat. He wasn’t wrong. You let Harry lead you around the perimeter of the house while you wait for your real estate agent to arrive to let you in—Harry’s animatedly talking about all the renovations that can be done to upgrade the house (even stating he could do some of them himself) and deep down you know this is the house you will end up living in.
“So sorry I’m late,” the agent’s voice pulls you from your thoughts. “There was an accident on the 405–made traffic a nightmare.”
“No worries at all,” Harry says cheerily. “We’re just excited to get inside and take a look at this place. It’s gorgeous.”
The lady doesn’t even try to hide her surprise. “Really? I agree that it’s a beautiful home, but I thought it would be your last choice given it’s on the smaller side.”
“How many bedrooms?” You change the subject,  gazing at the house in front of you. You thought it was rather large, but to each their own.
“Five bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms.”
You glance over at your fiancé, who appeared to be deep in thought—he was most likely calculating if five bedrooms would be enough to host friends and family who came to visit.
“That’s perfect,” he says after a moment, squeezing your hand in excitement. “We’d love to get inside.”
The real estate agent mutters a quiet, “please, follow me” to which you and Harry oblige. She leads you up a gorgeous cobblestone pathway that ends at weathered brick stairs. Harry lightly placed his hands on your waist as you ascended the three steps, knowing you tended to be on the clumsy side.
“Porch is nice, innit?” Harry says to you, lowering his gaze so he’s looking square in your eyes. “I can see us ‘avin a cup of coffee in the mornin’ while lookin’ out at the street.”
Your husband-to-be was trying to sell you on the home more than your real estate agent was––you weren’t mad at it. You simply hum in agreement, not wanting to fully give into Harry just yet.
The real estate agent unlocks the door and ushers the both of you ahead of her, wiping her feet on the mat before entering the home. It was beautiful. The floor plan was open, the living room flowing easily into the kitchen which led into the dining room. Large windows let in plenty of natural sunlight, which you know Harry appreciated.
You listen attentively as the real estate agent gives her typical spiel, informing you about the history of the house (and how all the wood fixtures were original). Harry is long gone, tucked away in some other part of the house, most likely examining the crown molding or something of the sort.
“...because the floor plan is so open, it’s the perfect space for entertaining.”
“So true,” you respond politely, looking around the space. “I was just thinking that. I’m sure Harry would agree... wherever he ran off to.”
“He’s a fan of this one, I take it?” She’s walking again, leading you to the back of the house.
“Oh, definitely. Hes been telling me we’re “cottage people” to warm me up to the idea of moving in here.”
“Is it working?”
You let out a quiet giggle. “Surprisingly, yes.”
“Babe, come look at this bedroom. S’gonna be ours!” Harry calls out to you from deeper in the house and you furrow your brows as you try to determine what room he ducked into.
“Where are you, love?”
“‘M in here!”
You roll your eyes at how Harry did nothing to clarify his exact location for you, but you quickly figure it out, anyway. While the house was large, it was nowhere as big as some places you’ve already looked at which you appreciated.
Once reunited with Harry, he immediately reaches for your hand and pulls you into him. The bedroom you’re now standing in has floor-to-ceiling windows, an adjoining bathroom, and even a fireplace. It was stunning.
“This room is nice,” you say quietly, leaning into his touch. Harry nods.
“S’our room. Can’t you just picture us sleepin’ in here? Relaxin’?” He leans in close to your ear. “Fuckin’?”
A shiver immediately runs through your body at your fiancé’s vulgarity, but you try your best to play off your reaction as you turn to face the real estate agent. “Let’s see the rest of the place, yeah?”
. ⋅ ˚̣- : ✧ : – ⭒ ⊹ ⭒ – : ✧ : -˚̣⋅ .
No one warned you about how much work went into actually closing on a home.
It was a long process. You were glad you had Harry, who had financial advisors, to help you close on the deal. You and Harry ended up going with the cottage home, of course, which ultimately was the best choice for what the two of you needed at the moment.
Waiting to move in seemed like it took a lifetime, even though it was only a couple weeks. Your apartment was a mess of boxes and packing tape, and you were glad you had your roommate to help you gather the things you still had left there (since you had basically already moved in with Harry as it was).
When the day finally came to move all your boxes into your new home, you were more than ready to get it over with. You weren’t sure how Harry could remain in such high spirits engaging in such an arduous task (you were honestly feeling quite crabby), so you let Harry deal with the movers lest you accidentally lose your cool and snap at someone. He kept offering to help them move things, feeling guilty for just standing around while they heaved your extensive amount of belongings around, but they kept insisting they were fine. Your fiancé opted to contribute by going to the kitchen and making them lemonade and little sandwiches, instead.
“We have a lot of stuff, don’t we?” Harry glances up at you as you walk into the kitchen, a mischievous look on his face.
“What’s this we? Pretty sure they’re struggling to carry your things around, not mine,” you snake your arms around Harry’s waist. “Maybe we can have a garage sale? Get to know some neighbors too, hmm?”
“Weird to sell Gucci at a garage sale, innit?” Harry cuts a sandwich into four perfect triangles and sets them beside him on a platter he must’ve dug out of some box. You shrug.
“I’m sure you’re not the only person in this neighborhood who can afford Gucci.”
Harry hums in response, continuing to slather spread onto the sandwiches he was making. “Can you go offer these to the movers? Ask ‘em if they want lemonade or water, too.” He tilts his head toward the tray on the other side of the counter and you reach around him to grab it.
“Look at you makin’ everyone snacks and whatnot. So domestic,” you tease, grabbing Harry’s cheek and pinching firmly. “It’s getting me all hot.”
“Yeah?” He questions, going along with your playful pestering. “Y’like it?”
“Fuckin’ love it,” you coo, giving him bedroom eyes. Harry throws his head back, letting out a loud guffaw. You exit the kitchen and go from person to person, kindly offering them sandwiches which they are more than happy to accept.
The movers finish a couple of hours later, your beautiful home still just as beautiful, but now a myriad of boxes and trash bags. The two of you had absolutely no furniture yet, seeing as Harry wanted to buy everything new instead of bringing the furniture from his old home for reasons you were still unsure of.
Harry settled on making the two of you sandwiches for supper, seeing as that was the only food you had in the entire house, and neither one of you felt like running to the store to buy anything else. He pours two tall glasses of lemonade before carefully walking to where you sat cross-legged on the floor of the living room.
“Our new home...,” Harry trails off, looking around the cluttered space. “The first thing that’s ours.”
“I could cry,” you reply, voice slightly shaky. “Like, it’s just so surreal. We can really decorate however we want and celebrate holidays–”
“Gonna fight wif’ each other ‘n love on each other,” he adds. “Grow old with each other... so happy you’re all mine and ‘m all yours.”
Your heart swells at Harry’s words. He can always tell when you’re growing emotional––he knows you better than anyone else, after all––and he quickly moves closer to you, pulling you into his side. Neither one of you says anything, there’s nothing that needs to be said. You opt to bask in each other’s company and the comfortable silence that fills the dim living room. Out of the corner of your eye you notice Harry scoot the food and drinks out of the way before he pulls you fully into his lap.
“I can’t wait for all of it,” you wrap your arms around his neck, sucking lightly on the area where the skin of his jaw trails into his neck. “Can’t wait to have it all with you.”
“Know what ‘m lookin’ forward to the most?” You hum. “Lookin’ forward to the baby makin’.”
Your breath hitches in your throat at Harry’s admission. Sure, you’ve discussed children before––you were getting married! Still, he catches you off-guard.
“Yeah?”
“Mmm,” his hand slowly makes its way underneath your shirt, loving how he already had you squirming under him.
“I’ve got it,” you mumble quietly, moving away from him. You expertly unclasp your bra and fling it out of the way, letting it join the rest of the mess that litters the floor of your home.
“This is really the first place we’re gonna shag in, then?” Harry asks breathlessly, sucking roughly against your collarbone.
You shrug your shoulders before moving to tangle your hands in Harry’s hair. “The entire house is a mess, this is as good a spot as any.”
“Can’t argue with that,” he mutters, trailing his hands down your body until he gets to your bottom. He easily shimmies your tight leggings down your legs, having done this many, many times before. “Gonna help me christen every room in this house, angel?”
“Yeah,” you’re quick to respond. You wish there was more kissing and less talking going on, but your arrogant fiancé loved two things: teasing you, and the sound of his own voice. “Can I have a kiss?”
“Where do ya want that kiss?”
“Get your mind outta the gutter,” you plead, tilting your head to the side so Harry can access your neck easier. “My lips.”
You know what Harry’s going to say before he says it. “Which ones?”
“H, come on,” you whine, tugging at the hair on the nape of his neck. “Gimmie one.”
Harry finally gives into your requests and presses his lips delicately against yours, humming in pleasure as he feels you sink deeper into the kiss. “I’m messin’ with ya, Y/N. I could never pass on givin’ ya a kiss.”
“I’m glad,” you answer triumphantly, shamelessly stealing another kiss from him.
“Gonna go all the way with me on our living room floor? Dirty girl, you are,” Harry says quietly, gently removing you from his lap. He helps you lay back on the floor, but not before bunching up your leggings for you to use as a pillow.
“All good?”
“Mmm,” you reach up for him, wanting to feel his lips against yours once again. He doesn’t give in so easily—not this time. Harry allows you to take his plump upper lip into your mouth before pulling away just out of your reach. You let out a pitiful whimper which causes Harry to puff out his chest, his ego getting the best of him.
“Gonna make ya feel so good,” he says quietly, rubbing his palm against your core. Your underwear was still on and you knew he was approximately four seconds away from ripping them off.
“I know,” you answer quickly. “I know, H.”
“You sound impatient.”
“I just wanna get on with it.”
Harry sits back on his heels. “What’s tha’ rush? Jus’ us, yeah? Jus’ me?”
“I need it,” you say under your breath. You were usually quite vocal in bed with Harry, but something about the way his gaze fixed on you had butterflies fluttering all-around your stomach.
“What do you need?” Harry taps your bum while he’s saying this, signaling for you to lift yourself slightly off the ground so he can get them around your ankles.
“I need you in me,” you whisper. You knew he knew exactly where you needed him, but you’d stroke his ego a bit if it meant he’d fuck you just how you wanted him to. “Hard. F-fast.”
“I can manage that,” he cheekily replies, giving his hard cock three tugs before pressing himself to your entrance. “Don’t want me to eat ya out or summat?”
“No,” you answer entirely too quickly. “Please just fuck me, H-”
He understands just how needy and desperate you are now and wastes no more time, swiftly entering your tight cunt like he was made just for you. Your body always molded together so perfectly––no one knew you better than he did. When you were really pressed for time, he could get you off in less than five minutes. Although his pace is relentless tonight though, there is no rush.
You felt full in such a way that only Harry could make happen. You let out a loud moan as he moves your leg ever so slightly to angle you in such a way that he knew would hit your spongy walls deep inside of you.
“Y’like it? Like me fuckin’ into ya like this?”
“Love it,” you moan breathlessly, reaching to cradle your tits. Harry raises his eyebrows, pace faltering slightly.
“What are you bein’ so quiet for? S’no one here except us,” he reaches in between your sweaty bodies to flick your clit. “Can feel you clenchin’ ‘round me–are you gonna come, puppy? Come around my cock?”
His teasing is all it takes for you to cum around him, clenching down so tightly that it takes a surprising deal of strength for him to keep moving. Harry follows shortly behind you, letting out an animalistic groan that sounds downright filthy. In that moment, you were glad that there was no one else in the house because if there was, they definitely would’ve heard you and Harry coming down from your respective highs together. He speaks after a moment, chest still heaving.
“One room down, the rest of the house to go.”

When They See You With Another Guy ~ with The Boyz
Requested by anon
A/N- Hi, thanks for requesting! This has taken ages for me to write but I hope you enjoy! ☺️
Sangyeon
Sangyeon had been minding his own business, walking along the street, when his eyes landed on you stood talking with a guy he’d never seen before
It wasn’t that he was jealous, but he doesn’t like the fact that the wide smile on your face is because of someone other than him
He’s confused… should he go over to you or just keep walking and talk to you about it later???
But he decides it’s best to wait until he has a chance to talk to you properly. Though that doesn’t mean he’s not replaying the scene over in his head all day
You burst into laughter upon hearing Sangyeon’s question. It really does make you feel amused that he’d been so obviously concerned about it all day
“That was my friends boyfriend. We’d just so happened to bump into each other in the street and had a little catch up, that’s all.” You clear things up instantly
Sangyeon’s instantly chuckles, his hand awkwardly scratching his neck until you reach out and hold it, intwining your fingers together
Jacob
Being an incredibly rational person, it’s probably expected that seeing you with another guy wouldn’t bother Jacob much
Except, it really really does…
There’s this underlying protectiveness within him that he only has for his members and his s/o
So when he sees that you are close to another guy, its almost shocking how mad it makes him
Of course, Jacob is mature enough to manage his emotions when in public situations. But the instant you’re alone, it’s a completely different story
“Who was that guy you were talking to earlier?” Jacob controls the conversation, staring you directly in the eyes as a seriousness encompasses you both
“He’s just a friend from work, more of an acquaintance really.” You reassure, placing a gentle hand onto his arm in an attempt to calm his tense posture
“How come you didn’t introduce me then. You always introduce me…” Jacob remains firm, a jealous tinge emerging through his tone
You can tell it’s taking a lot for him to hold his emotions in this moment. Although, his anger isn’t aimed towards you, but your handsome colleague
“Truthfully.” You emit a deep breath. “He’s a huge fan of yours and when I offered to introduce you he said he was too nervous.”
Upon hearing this confession, a huge grin explodes onto Jacob’s face
He’s relieved, the soft laugh you love so much making an appearance as he pulls you into his arms and presses a loving kiss atop your head
Younghoon
Younghoon had been acting off all night, everyone had noticed it, but no one was really sure why he looked so pissed
It wasn’t until you’d managed to get him alone that you were able to fully understand, and honestly, you weren’t too impressed by his reason
“So I’m not allowed to talk to any guys.” You defensively sass, arms folded across your chest to close yourself off from your childish boyfriend
“No, I’m not saying that. I just don’t like it when guys get to friendly with you.” Younghoon grumbles moodily
“So you don’t trust me, that’s what you’re saying?” You sarcastically laugh, it’s really hard to believe he’s acting this way over such an insignificant thing
The ‘thing’ in question isn’t insignificant to Younghoon, however. Especially when you seemed so much happier hanging out with your guy friend than him
“Of course I trust you, it’s just him I don’t trust!” Younghoon completely looses his cool, throwing his arms up in frustration
Hearing his blatant jealousy leaves you at a loss for words, so you simply shake your head in disappointment, walking away from Younghoon before one of you says something you’ll regret
Hyunjae
He couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw you laughing at the guys words… was he really that funny?
Jaehyun isn’t sure, after all, he’s not a part of the conversation
His bottom lip instantly juts out into a pout as he continues to watch your interaction. I mean, what did he do for you to treat him like this?
“What’s the sulky face for?” You chuckle as soon as you approach him, unaware of how upset you’ve made him
“Your friend seems like a funny guy.” He avoids your question, taking a sip of his drink to take away the sour taste left in his mouth
You raise your brows at your boyfriends words. It’s not your fault he’s jealous, but either way, you aren’t about to stir up an argument
“I mean, I’ve met funnier…” you trail off, failing to hide the teasing smirk that twinges at the corner of your lips
“Like who?” Hyunjae’s eyes go wide at your statement, he’d clearly missed what you were insinuating
“You’re so cute.” Is all you respond with, chuckling in amusement at how he’s being so endearingly obvious with his emotions
And it seems as though it does the trick, Hyunjae finally smiling once again as you enjoy each others company
Juyeon
Juyeon doesn’t want to make something out of nothing, but when you spend the morning rushing around getting ready instead of paying attention to him, it hurts him a little
Instead of verbalising his emotions, he decides to catch your attention in another way
Purposefully strolling out of your room and into the living space of your apartment in only his pants, Juyeon stretches his arms out and rolls his head back, sighing loudly to catch your attention
“Ju, have you seen my phone?” You whiz past him without a second glance
“It’s right here, on the table.” He calls out, lounging back onto the sofa as casually as he can (except it’s in no way casual)
“Thank y-” your words cut off as soon as you take him in, mouth agape as your mind goes empty of all thoughts, well except one…
“Have a nice time today and I’ll see you for dinner.” Juyeon beams at you.
However desperately he wants to make you decide to stay with him instead of meeting your guy friend, he would never admit it out loud
“Can I have a kiss goodbye?” You timidly ask, almost as if you haven’t asked him that before
Juyeon snickers as he stands up and pulls you into him, one hand falling delicately onto your waist and the other caressing your cheek
You complain when he only leaves a simple peck on your lips, eager for more
Juyeon’s just happy to know you are no longer in a rush to leave, and that’s enough to make him feel content for the rest of the day until you come back home to him
Kevin
Kevin wouldn’t really mind seeing you hanging out with guy friends, just as long as you are open with him about it
He’s not the type to get jealous often, and even then it’s only to tease you
“You know, we haven’t spend much time together lately.” He pouts after hearing that you’re heading out to see a male friend of yours
It’s the first day in a long time that Kevin has some time off and he was really hoping you would be around to share it with him
“Don’t make me feel worse about it, I’ve had this arranged for ages…” you sigh, accepting his hand as you take a moment to come up with a compromise
“You know you could just make it clear that you’re gonna hang out with your boyfriend.” Kevin softly suggests, his tone insinuating the slight bitterness he’s been trying to cover up
“Kevin…” you whine.
His laughter only makes you roll your eyes as you realise he’s been messing with you. So you playfully shove him away when he attempts to pull you into a hug
Chanhee
Is Chanhee bothered to see you spending so much time with another guy at the company party? On the outside it’s a firm no, but inside he’s not pleased
It’s not your fault that you’d made friends with the staff, and that the closest friend was a male staff
Honestly, every part of Chanhee wants to sassily stroll over to you and your friend and make it very clear that you have a boyfriend
But he’s hesitant, it’s really taken a blow to his confidence…
“I’ve been looking everywhere for you.” You perch on the chair beside your solemn looking boyfriend. “What’s wrong?”
“I’m… just feeling a little under the weather.” Chanhee fibs. He doesn’t like lying to you, but deep down he knows he’d feel much worst making you feel bad for spending time with friends
“Do you want to go home?” You offer, a soft smile on your face to reciprocate your boyfriends when he nods, accepting your hand and intertwining your fingers together as you make your way out of the party
Changmin
You feel an arm wrap around your waist, tugging you closer into the person beside you, a light gasp escaping your lips from the unexpected presence of your boyfriend
Changmin’s eyes are fiercely trained on the guy stood opposite you, baring his gritted teeth as he boldly interrupts your conversation
“…this is my boyfriend Changmin…” you hesitate, introducing him in a feeble attempt to break the tense silence
“And who are you?” Changmin spits, impatience radiating off of him as the stranger takes a second to comprehend the simple question
“Minnie-” Changmin’s head snaps to you, your sentence falling short just from his enraged stare
“I asked him. Who. Are. You.” His tone is sharp, making it evermore clear that he needs an answer instantly.
“I’m (Y/N)’s cousin.”
“Oh.” Changmin’s shoulders slump… he feels stupid
And that’s when you take the opportunity to apologise to your cousin on Changmin’s behalf, before excusing you both
“I’m so sorry-” Changmin’s doe eyes plead at you. “I just get too ahead of myself sometimes.”
“It’s ok, you didn’t mean any harm.” You comfort, accepting the fact that Changmin is just very territorial over you
And later on, Changmin makes the effort to make amends with your cousin himself
Haknyeon
One thing that Haknyeon absolutely adores is the way you look at him as though he’s the only person you see, your eyes glimmering with complete admiration at anything and everything he does
So when he thinks that you are giving another guy a very similar look, it makes him feel a way he’s never felt before
“Yeah, I know what I saw. Don’t be stupid.” Haknyeon continues to walk away from you, his tone cold as he refuses to even spare you a glance
“But I really don’t know what I’ve done?” You chase after him, finally catching up when he has to stop to unlock the front door
“Oh come on! You were practically undressing him with your eyes!” He finally turns to you, waiting for you to come back at him with a defensive comment
Except you don’t, you just gawk at him in disbelief
“If you really believe that I’d even flirt with the idea of having eyes for anyone other than you, then why are we together?” You break the silence, your voice barely audible but leaving an echo in Haknyeon’s mind as he speechlessly watches you walk away
Sunwoo
He acts on his emotions first, rationality coming in second
So when he sees you with a guy he’d never encountered before, he feels hurt and betrayed
“I don’t get it Sunwoo, why are you so mad at me?” You frustratedly brush your hand through your hair, repeating the question for the thousandth time that evening
Sunwoo simply continues to ignore you, choosing to focus all his attention onto the tv as he grabs the remote and it flicks onto some random channel
His frown deepens when you move to block his view of the tv, pleading at him as best as you can
“Instead of annoying me why don’t you go back to that guy you were falling all over earlier.” Sunwoo finally speaks, his harsh tone and bitter words making your mouth go dry, chest tight as you feel your heart sink to your stomach. Is this really what he thinks?
“Sorry what?” You question back, finding it hard to believe you’ve heard him correctly
Seeing the pure horror on your face from his accusation makes Sunwoo feel instant regret
“That was my best friends brother, you know the one I’ve known since I was a baby?” You defensively explain
You watch as Sunwoo’s eyes widen in realisation, his face morphing through multiple emotions before it finally fixes into one of shame
“I’m so sorry (Y/N). How could I have been so stupid.” He stands from the sofa, closing the distance that had been created between you during your disagreement
He watches cautiously as his hand reaches out to take yours, letting out a breath of relief when you don’t resist as he intertwines your fingers together
“It’s ok, it’s and easy misunderstanding.” You meekly smile at him. “Just ask me next time, instead of getting all jealous about it.”
“I promise.” You chuckle as Sunwoo rolls his eyes, before pulling you into his embrace
Eric
“(Y/N), there you are! I’ve been looking everywhere for you.” Eric playfully scolds you through a wide smile, his heart filling with pride when you giggle at him
He’d wanted to seem casual in his approach to you, fully intending on making it known to your colleague that you are happily taken
“Nice to see you again Eric.” Your colleague nods, holding his hand out for Eric to shake, which Eric begrudgingly accepts
You don’t notice the forced smiles between the two, staying civil for the sake of appearances even though they both share the same distaste for one another
“You too.” Eric mumbles, turning his attention onto you, the sole reason for his endurance of being accommodating towards such an unpleasant guy (in his opinion anyway)
“We really should get going now, it’s already past when we agreed we should leave.” Eric affectionately reminds you, leaning down to press a light kiss to your forehead in the process
“You could stay with me if you don’t want to leave yet. I’ll take care of you.” Your colleague speaks up the second you let out a light “oh” in realisation of the time
This proposition, however, makes Eric tense instantly, which doesn’t go unnoticed by you.
“Actually I’m ready to go, just need to say goodbye to my boss.” You delicately place your hand on Eric’s arm as a way of comfort, before slipping away to say your goodbyes
Eric simply sends a taunting smirk towards your colleague, his look speaking a thousand words, before sauntering away

how to calm down an angry billionaire
Step 1. Deflect.
Peter was good at deflection. Always had been. It was a skill he'd picked up after people constantly tried to ask him about his feelings after his parents died, then again when Ben died. Any questions he didn't want to answer quickly turned into an animated conversation about whatever his mind thought of first (there had been that awkward time he'd asked a fellow orphan how their parents were), an apology and fast excuse to get the hell out of there (mostly worked except when he was panicking and the best he could come up with was a cheese making competition, that had caused a lot of questions Peter would rather never deal with again), or just flat out running away (sometimes he ran into poles or walls which was always a bit embarrassing given he was literally Spider-man). Sometimes Peter had to use all three options. So Peter knew when Tony finally decided to have the dreaded conversation about the whole not-my-first-time-holding-up-a-building thing, he would be able to deflect it. Or so he thought. Turns out, Peter had drastically underestimated the sheer stubbornness of Tony Stark.
It was a lab day, around three weeks after the incident where Peter and Tony had been stuck under a building and Peter stupidly let slip that he’d held up a building before. Peter had thought Tony had forgotten about his words. He was comfortable, tentatively confident and optimistic that it wouldn't be brought up again. He had no idea how wrong he was.
"Hey kid?" Tony said, cutting the comfortable silence between them as they worked, tone slightly hesitant. Peter should've picked up on it. He should've realised. But he'd grown complacent. So Peter ignored the dread pooling in his stomach and lifted his head from the mess of wires in front of him to look at Tony.
"Mr Stark?" he replied with a smile that Tony didn't return. Nor did he try to tell Peter to call him Tony. And that was how Peter knew something was wrong. Nerves skittered down his spine, clod fingers of dread snaking around his neck as nervous energy filled him and he began to tap on the desk. Anything to distract himself from the sorrow and worry shining in his mentor's brown eyes.
"Look kid, uh, I," Tony fumbled for words. Shit. This was bad. If Tony Stark was struggling to say something, you knew it was serious. Peter just stared at him in silence,unsure of what to say, anxiety coursing through his veins at the grimace that clouded Tony's features. What could possibly have gotten him into this mood? Had Peter done something wrong? Was he gonna, oh god, was he gonna take the suit? "Pete, I need to know what you meant when we were under the building," Tony finally managed to say, Peter relaxing. Oh. That was all?
"I just meant that I'd lifted a lot of heavy things," Peter half-lied, looking Tony straight in the eyes and lying to his face, mindful to make sure his tells were carefully under control. Training with Daredevil - despite Tony's misgivings about Double D - had been one of the best decisions Peter had ever made. He felt a twinge of guilt as he lied to Tony but it's not like he could tell the truth. And he wasn't really lying. Just withholding the entire truth. He shrugged nonchalantly, "Anyways, you reckon you can help me with this? I'm stuck. My mind kinda decided to go and die on me." Peter chuckled quietly. Tony wasn't laughing.
"I want to believe you, kid," Tony told him, "I really do. But I can't. You had a panic attack under there. What aren't you telling me Peter? Whatever it is, I'm here for you. You can tell me anything. And I don't want to pressure you into telling me anything until you're ready but I-I just-I need to know what happened. I need to know what you meant." Peter's resolve almost broke as Tony's voice broke. No. He couldn't tell Tony. Not only would Tony think he was weak, but Peter knew that Mr Stark would blame himself because he took the suit. Peter couldn't let him do that. Option one had failed him, so it was onto option 2. Make a quick exit without raising any suspicions. Yeah, he didn't think that was gonna work. Worth a shot though.
"Hey, Mr Stark," Peter said after checking his watch and pretending to look shocked at the time, "I'm really sorry but I have to go. I promised Ned we'd work on our Bio project tonight and I'm already seven minutes late." Mr Stark raised an eyebrow and pulled up a picture of Ned on his holiday in California.
"Nice try kid," Tony replied drily. Peter sighed, shoulders slumping. Time for option three then.
"I-I don't really know how to tell you, uh," Peter deliberately stuttered, guilt eating him up inside as he put on an act for Tony. For option three to work, Peter had to catch Tony off guard otherwise he'd react too quickly and lock the tower down. His act work, Tony's features softening and body relaxing.
"It's okay, bambino, take your time." And if that didn't make him feel like a horrible person, nothing would. Peter stood and padded over to some machinery near the exit, pretending to be trying to busy himself as he worked himself up to answering Tony when he was actually getting closer to the door.
"I, uh," Peter stumbled. Tony was now far away enough that Peter could easily run without being grabbed and stopped. The door was right there. Peter took his opportunity. He ran. Out the door, down the hallway, flying to the elevator. Pressing the button frantically, Peter groaned when nothing happened. Great. Tony had stopped the elevators. Sighing, Peter pulled the mask from his pocket and pulled it over his head, sprinting at the window. Peter burst through the window in a shower of glass, activating his web shooters as he fell, quickly shooting a web and catching himself. And he was swinging, swinging, swinging. Allowing himself to smile at his escape, Peter was unprepared when he was grabbed from behind by two cold metal hands. Thanks for nothing spidey sense. Tony flew a sulking Peter back through the broken window and into one of the meeting rooms, setting him down firmly in a seat. Peter crossed his arms, pouting as he pulled off his mask, Tony's Iron Man suit unfolding around him and the man stepping out, an unimpressed look painted across his features.
"You done deflecting yet?" Tony asked, a single eyebrow raised. Damn. Peter wished he could do that. Alas, no amount of practising in front of a mirror had ever given him the talent to lift one eyebrow and not look like a demented monkey. Time for a different strategy. Deflection had failed him. But Peter would not go down easy.
~~~
Step 2. Deny.
The unfortunate thing about this step was that Peter would always over-deny. He would deny everything or nothing. There was no in between. For example, he was once denying eating the last bit of chocolate and ended up accidentally telling May his name wasn't Peter and that he was an alien from outer space with a severe lettuce allergy. Don't ask. Peter really didn't want to relive that trauma. So although Peter always tried his best with denial, it never really worked out in his favour. Honestly, it was through sheer dumb luck that he managed to keep Spider-Man a secret from his friends and family for so long. It was probably some good karma that had been waiting for the perfect moment to help him out. It was a little late but hey, better late than never right?
"No," Peter blurted in a panic. Shock splashed across Tony's face as he folded his arms.
"Kid, you know you can tell me anything, right?" Tony told him gently.
"No," Peter exclaimed again, hurt painting the billionaire's face. "I mean, yes." Shitshitshitshitshit. Peter was an idiot. He had to deny everything - but not everything, Peter, remember the lettuce incident - so Mr Stark wouldn't find out. But Peter had always been shit at denial.
"Look, I know this is probably hard for you to talk about," Tony continued on, oblivious to Peter's internal panic, "but I won't judge you. I love you, bambino. You know that right? And I'll support you no matter what but I can't help you if you don't let me."
"No," Peter said. It was the only word he knew. Any more and he would have another lettuce incident or he'd end up rambling the truth. He couldn't do that. So his current vocabulary was limited to 'no', 'no', 'no' with a side of 'no'. Which wasn't suspicious at all. Totally.
"What the hell, kid?" Tony asked, mostly confused, slight irritation colouring his tone. Peter was hyper-aware of the thundering beat his heart was drumming to, the way Tony's slightly picked up when he said 'no', the sweat covering his body like a second skin. Tony's sigh sounded like a bomb to his sensitive ears, the sharp intake of breath before he spoke like a blaring alarm. "What did you mean when you said it wasn't your first time?"
"I didn't," Peter responded, brain not quite computing, "nothing happened." Tony's gaze narrowed. Shit. Was Tony going to take the suit if he didn't tell him? But Peter just couldn't tell him. He couldn't.
"Fucking hell Peter, just tell me dammit!" Tony exclaimed, running a hand through his messy brown hair in frustration. Peter knew - with the certainty that he knew his own name or the colour of his eyes - that denial had failed him. Time for Peter's next strategy.
~~~
Step 3. Stretch the truth.
When Peter's other strategies failed him, he turned to stretching the truth. It was simple really, just take the truth and dial it down from boiling hot to freezing cold and give it to the person on a silver platter with a charmingly innocent - and only slightly nervous - smile. Half-truths were easy to fool people with. Someone had said that the best lies were the ones based on truth. Peter couldn't remember who exactly had said that. He had never been very good with that sort of stuff, unlike MJ. So although stretching the truth was Peter's third option, he'd always been surprisingly good at it. People seemed to believe he was too innocent to be able to lie. Which was absurd because he'd spent ten years living with his Aunt and her terrible cooking and she still didn't know he hated her walnut date loaf.
"Okay," Peter conceded quietly and the rage slowly left Tony as he deflated like a balloon, looking smaller without all the fury. Peter sat down in front of Tony. "It was back in the fight with The Vulture and he threw a wall at me. I caught it and threw it back at him but he dodged it with his super awesome flying skills." Tony looked him straight in the eyes for a few seconds, Peter holding his gaze before Tony leaned forward.
"Cut the bullshit," Tony whispered, dangerously quiet, tightly compressed anger stemming from worry swimming in his brown eyes. "A wall wouldn't stay together if it was thrown, caught and thrown back. Even then, you wouldn't say it wasn't your first time while holding a building up unless you'd held up a fucking building already. And you wouldn't have a panic attack from holding up a building about something thrown at you. So stop lying to me, Peter Benjamin Parker." Damn. The full name. Peter released a heavy exhale, knowing he was beaten. He had to tell Mr Stark the truth.
"It actually was in the fight with the Vulture," Peter began, "so I wasn't lying about that. And I did have to catch a few walls." Tony raised his eyebrows at Peter's weak attempts at defending himself. "I went to his warehouse and he sent his flying suit at me. It wasn't particularly good at attacking 'cause it hadn't even touched me. I said that and Toomes told me it wasn't trying to." Tony inhaled sharply, clasping his hands together to stop them from shaking, Peter trying not to listen to how Tony's hands still hit each other gently. Enhanced hearing sucked sometimes. "He had directed the suit to take out all the supports in the building." Tony gasped, expression contorted into one of such extreme guilt and sorrow that Peter wanted to shelter Tony from the world for the rest of his days because goddammit he's seen too much and been through enough and couldn't the world just give him a fucking break for once? No one deserved one more than Mr Stark did.
"I took the suit," Tony whispered, voice thick with emotion, "I took the suit. It was your only protection, damn it, and I took the fucking suit!" Tony was yelling now, self-hatred and rage dancing in his wild brown eyes.
"It wasn't your fault, Mr Stark," Peter tried to tell him.
"How?" Tony scoffed, laughing bitterly, "How was this not my fault. I took the suit and you got hurt because of my mistake."
"It's okay, Mr Stark, you didn't know," Peter said.
"But I should've," Tony replied, "I should've known." Peter's features hardened, spine turning to steel. He wouldn't let Mr Stark blame himself for this. The blame was on Toomes and only on Toomes.
"Did you pilot the Vulture suit?" Peter asked firmly.
"What?"
"Did. You. Pilot. The. Vulture. Suit." Peter repeated, staring defiantly at Tony.
"No, of course not," Tony replied, slight confusion clinging to his features.
"And did you cause the building to fall?" he continued.
"No."
"Then it's not your fault," Peter told him simply.
"Kid, I shouldn't have taken the suit," Tony began, dropping his head into his hands. He opened his mouth to continue but Peter cut him off before he could say anything equally self-deprecating.
"Maybe," Peter allowed, "but then I wouldn't found out I was strong enough to get back up again. 'If you're nothing without the suit then you shouldn't have it'. You told me that. I thought the suit made Spider-man and I lost sight of what Spider-man really meant. God, I started out in a fricking onesie. That's what Spider-man represents. Not a hero with a multi-million dollar suit, but someone with nothing but their will to save others. Without you taking the suit, I never would've remembered everything Spider-man stood for.; With great power comes great responsibility. You gave me that tough love moment and I needed it. Now it's my turn to dish out some tough love for you." Peter took a deep breath. "You, Tony Stark, are being a fucking idiot. The blame of what happened in the past lies with Adrian Toomes, and Adrian Toomes alone. So stop this self-deprecating bullshit and use your fucking brain for once in your life. It. Was. Not. Your. Fault." Tony looked up at him, the self-hatred drained from his features, a slight smile adorning his lips which Peter returned.
"You're right, kid," Tony said, "when did you get this wise?"
"I've always been this wise, Mr Stark, I just wanted you to feel better about your lack of common sense," Peter joked, Tony chuckling.
"It wasn't my fault," Tony repeated. Peter tilted his head, confused at the strange undertone in Tony's voice only to see a fire lit in his caramel eyes. "I'm going to kill that son of a bitch."
And it was then that he knew he fucked up.
~~~
Step 4. Try some breathing exercises.
Peter had always been shit at breathing exercise. He just didn't have the patience for them. While he was breathing, someone could be getting raped in an alley, a shop could be getting robbed, or a kid could be getting beat up. So - despite the constant reminders to just try the damn breathing exercises for the love of god - Peter had never done anything of the sort. How could he? With his enhanced senses, it was impossible to relax. Would you be able to sit there and breathe while screams rang in your ears and sobbing pounded in your mind? Naturally, this meant that Peter wasn't the most experienced when it came to said breathing exercises. Maybe he should've practised. Life always had a funny way of throwing Peter in the deep end headfirst and tied to a ten ton weight and expecting him to swim. However, he had once read in a self-help book that breathing exercises were good for calming people down, so he decided to hit fuck it for the sixth time in the last 48 hours and try it out. I mean, it was that or release an angry billionaire in a metal suit decked out with the most advanced weapons in the world (except for maybe what HYDRA had because honestly Peter knew better than to underestimate them and he mildly respected their cockroach-like survival skills) who was hell-bent on revenge and gave zero fucks into the world. The second option was beginning to sound quite tempting, Peter would be honest.
"Mr Stark, you need to calm down," Peter told the man gently, placing a hand on Tony's shoulder. Tony tilted his head up to look at Peter - rage splashed across his face, tension lining his body - before he shrugged off Peter's hand and jerked into a standing position. And the room was suffocating, suffocating, suffocating, because damn had Tony always been that scary. A cloud of darkness surrounded Tony, filling the lab up and winding itself slowly around Peter's neck, stealing the breath from his lungs. Tony stormed through the lab, footsteps like thunder, anger crackling like lightning. Desperately, Peter followed the billionaire. "Mr Stark, Mr Stark, please calm down," Peter pleaded with him.
"No," Tony spoke, voice cold and flat, tone totally devoid of emotion, so totally opposite to the fury painting his entire body like a second skin. "No I will not calm down, Peter. He dropped a fucking building on you. He deserves to die."
"But you don't deserve to live with the guilt of killing him," Peter begged, tugging at Tony's sleeve in a desperate attempt to stop the man from his warpath. Peter knew he could easily overpower Tony. But he was hoping it wouldn't come to that. "Trust me, I know how it feels to want revenge, I really do, but you have to let it go. Please, Mr Stark."
"Dammit Peter, he hurt you!" Tony shouted, whirling around to face Peter, features twisted and manically furious. "He hurt you a-and I wasn't there and you had to deal with being crushed by a fucking building and then you got up and kept fighting because of that sick son of a bitch so I swear to fucking god I will murder him." Tony's eyes held a frenzied wildness in them, chest heaving up and down, Peter could hear his heart racing.
"Mr Stark, try some breathing," Peter said out of desperation, completely and utterly out of ideas. "Just breath. In and out, in and out." Tony's momentary surprise shocked him out of his anger, confusion flickering across his face momentarily before the anger was back, stronger than ever. Tony pivoted on his heel and walked away from Peter, heading towards where he kept his suits and leaving a heavy sense of dread pooling in Peter's stomach and twisting his insides in knots. So breathing hadn't worked. Thanks for nothing self-help books.
~~~
Step 5. Hack the most advanced AI in the world.
When in doubt, do something potentially illegal. A mugger had once told Peter that after Peter caught her trying to rob a young man. That lady had been fucking badass. It was honestly a shame she's gone to prison but a criminal is a criminal. Turns out the lady had been responsible for a string of high-end bank and jewellery robberies. Peter wondered how she was doing. Probably not well, considering how shit the American jail system is. Peter always tried to find alternative ways to stop criminals, only really sending in the pedophiles, rapists, murderers and the more professional robbers. Sometimes people had no choice in the shitty hand life had dealt them and goddamn if Peter didn't get that. People were just pushed and pushed until they were left with nothing but desperation. Maybe if the government or any of the fucking American systems were better or did their jobs properly then people wouldn't have to steal just to keep themselves and their families from starvation. Maybe Toomes wouldn't have started his alien tech business and then none of this would have even happened. Peter wouldn't be in this situation right now. And Peter was now out of options. He had an angry billionaire on his hands and absolutely no idea what to do. So, he took the lady's advice and decided to do something potentially illegal. He hacked the most advance AI in the world. (What, like it's hard?)
"Hey FRI?" Peter called with a wince.
"Yes, Peter," the AI replied.
"I'm really sorry," Peter told her before bringing up FRIDAY's code. (A/N - I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT COMPUTERS SO THIS IS GONNA BE SOME VAGUE, QUESTIONABLE AF HACKING) Fingers flying across the keys of the laptop, Peter bit his lip in concentration, brows furrowed. He had to hurry and shut down Mr Stark's suits before he reached them and left to murder Toomes. Adrenaline coursed through his body, brain whirring to life like the computer before him as he deleted lines of code, rewriting and altering the code that created FRIDAY as he tore down the firewalls Mr Stark had built. Peter vaguely registered that this was probably illegal and that Mr Stark would most definitely be mad about this later but he quickly waved the thoughts away. He didn't have time for them, he didn't have time, he didn't have time. Barely registering what he was doing, Peter submerged himself into the world of numbers, immersing himself completely in the ocean of lines of code, fingers instinctively knowing what t do as though he'd been born to hack. Again, probably not a great thing that this was so easy. But computers had always made sense to Peter. After what felt like hours but was really only a few minutes, Peter was into FRIDAY's system. And with a few taps, Peter shut down the suits. Quickly exiting the browser, Peter dropped his head into his hands. He'd done it. With a long exhale, Peter relaxed, leaning back into his chair and running his shaking hands through his hair. An enraged roar broke the peaceful quiet surrounding Peter and he squeezed his eyes shut. Maybe if he ignored it, Mr Stark's anger would go away. He couldn't deal with this shit. Peter was too young to die.
"Peter Benjamin Parker I swear to fucking god-"
"You probably shouldn't fuck god, Mr Stark," Peter couldn't resist remarking with a shit-eating grin. "People might get a bit mad. And who knows, you may even end up pregnant which I can't imagine will be very fun."
"What the fuck?" Tony whispered into the silence that followed Peter's statement. "I don't even want to know what goes on in your brain." Peter hummed in agreement. To be honest, he had no idea what was going on up there half the time. He was just along for the ride. And hey, if it distracted Mr Stark from his anger then it was a win win situation right? (How Peter won in this scenario he didn't know but he didn't question it).
"It's the trauma," Peter replied flippantly, as casual as one would be if they were discussing the weather.
"The-" Tony broke off into angry, confused gibberish that Peter didn't even try to decipher. Crisis averted. Now to deal with the aftermath.
~~~
Step 6. Watch a movie.
Peter Parker wasn't good with emotions. Being a socially awkward sixteen-year-old genius had that effect on a person. Not to mention the fact that he had a crime-fighting, sarcastic alter ego. Yeah, he wasn't great with feelings. Especially not his own. And now he was attempting to help Mr Stark clam down after the whole Toomes-dropping-a-building-on-him-reveal thing. And the only way an emotionally stunted teenage genius superhero knew how to help an emotionally stunted adult genius superhero was something most people would not class as a healthy coping mechanism. Distraction. Preferably with a movie.
"Hey Mr Stark, wanna watch Empire Strikes Back?" Peter asked. Tony fell into a confused silence which Peter took as an agreement. "Yes? Perfect, let's go." Grabbing Tony's arm, Peter tugged him out of the lab and into the elevator, confusion splashed across Tony's features as they entered the movie room. Peter dropped onto the expensive yet incredibly comfortable couch in the centre of the room, pulling Tony down beside him. "Hey FRI? Can you please play The Empire Strikes Back."
"Certainly, Peter," FRIDAY replied, a hint of warmth in her robotic voice. The Star Wars theme filled the room, Peter lips kicking up into a smile at the familiar sound. And as the movie played, Peter reciting every single line with the characters, he felt the rage and tension slowly drain out of his mentor as he relaxed.
"Hey, kid," Tony whispered, interrupting Luke and Darth Vader's showdown. "I sorry for getting angry. I just... I just didn't know what to do. Instead of asking if you were okay I blamed myself and wanted to frigging murder a guy who's already suffering in prison."
"It's okay, Mr Stark," Peter responded with a smile, sincerity gracing his tone. "I get it. After Ben died, I found his murderer. I almost killed the guy," Peter chuckled without humour, Tony watching him with sad eyes, the movie forgotten. "Point is, I know how it feels to want revenge. Don't apologise for being human."
"You really are the best of us all, kid," Tony remarked, a smile adoring his face, features relaxed as he looked at Peter.
"I learned from the best," Peter replied with a shrug.
"Thanks, kid," Tony said, throat tight with emotion.
"I meant May," Peter joked lightly, the heavy emotion clouding the room vanishing as Tony laughed.
"Are you okay, kid?" Tony asked, seriousness settling over them again.
"Honestly?" Peter responded, "no. But that's alright. Because I will be." Peter held Tony's gaze, warmth blossoming in his chest at his mentor's caring eyes, as Darth Vader's voice filled the room.
"No, I am your father," Darth Vader spoke. Peter turned back to the movie, watching as Luke jumped and fell.
"You're gonna be okay, kid," Tony whispered, "we're both gonna be okay."
Because Peter would be okay. So Tony was okay too.
And if Pepper walked in three hours later to find them curled up against each other, fast asleep she never said anything. (She got FRIDAY to take a photo and saved it to Irondad and Spiderson - an unsurprisingly large file. She should probably get Peter to do a DNA test. They did look rather similar)
Yoga Mat - Gojo x Reader
Tumblr media
Word Count: 1,744
Warnings: +18 content, smut, oral fem receiving, slight praise, slight angst at the end
Summary: You finally get some answers from your Sensei as well as extra steamy affection.
A/N: This is the third and final part of this series. You can find the other parts on my masterlist!
Requests Open!
It didn't take long after your first official session for your secret gym meetings to become more consistent. At first, Gojo would slip into the dojo silently before pressing himself against you, the pressure of his bulge on your ass making you grin. Then it became almost every night.
There was no doubt almost everyone at the school had heard the moans coming from the gym, and there were plenty of rumors going around as well - the most popular one being that it was two teachers. Gojo's name was thrown around often as well, but no one seemed to suspect you (if they did you were sure Gojo would've shut them up anyways)
So you continued the escapade, the only exception to your nightly endeavors was when he had to work which typically resulted in Gojo returning more pent up than ever.
Thankfully your studies had picked up as well and you were back to your normal state. Top of the class and on top of your teacher. Only one thing was keeping you down, something you'd planned to discuss with Gojo tonight when he arrived.
Despite all the time you'd spent working out alone before you'd really only used the punching bag and occasionally the weights. But due to how sore your body had been you decided maybe tonight you were ready for a change. You eyed the yoga mats tucked in the corner for a moment before grabbing one and bringing it to the center of the room.
Yoga wasn't exactly your specialty but you weren't exactly new to it either. Some of the more basic poses popped into your mind before starting out. Slowly you took a deep breath, lifting your right leg up you let the bottom of your foot rest against the inside of your thigh. Once you felt like you were confident in your balance you pressed your hands together stiffly in a prayer motion, taking a deep inhale you centered yourself then slowly exhaled feeling your muscles relax.
Next you got on your hands and knees, extending your legs back and sticking your ass up in the air as you leaned forward and bowed your head. It made you feel slightly disoriented as the blood seemed to rush to your head.
"What a sight!" You heard a familiar voice exclaim. You had no doubts there was a smirk on Gojo's face as he wasted no time before approaching you and kneading at your ass. "Did ya miss me?" He questioned as he tugged lightly on your hair.
You nodded in response, "How was work today, Gojo?" You asked, looking back at him momentarily over your shoulder seeing his bright blue eyes for a second before his large hand reached forward to make your head face forward.
"Good. Not as good as you in these yoga pants though."
You jokingly wiggled your ass in his hands, palms still squeezing at you. All of a sudden you heard cloth ripping as your ass felt a breeze, cold air chilling your skin. "Did you just-" You began before he cut you off with the feeling of his finger running down your clothed center. Your breath hitching in your throat.
"Gojo," You stuttered "My leggings!"
"Don't worry about it, baby." He purred, his finger trailing up to your covered clit sending shocks of electricity through your body. "I'll buy you as many pairs as you want after this."
You began to get lost in his actions your mind slowly going numb with pleasure. Your hips started to subconsciously move back in time with his hand. Gojo's fingertips could feel how wet you were getting as your slick began to seep through the thin material of your underwear. His cock straining against his sweatpants, desperate to feel you on him.
You were snapped out of your thoughts as Gojo roughly grabbing your hips and flipping you onto your back. You let out a squeak as you collided with the yoga mat, your legs over your sensei's shoulders. Eyes wide you looked at Gojo as he smirked up at you, sending a wink your way as his thumb slowly pushed your panties to the side. He didn't hesitate to dive between your thighs, his tongue licking a bold stripe from your folds to your clit, lips latching on and sucking.
Your legs started shaking, already close from earlier. You felt one of his fingers tease at your hole before slipping inside you, pumping you slowly as he lapped at your sensitive bundle of nerves.
Your back arched off the mat as a second finger entered, a high-pitched moan leaving your lips, "S-Satoru..." He curled his fingers, reaching a spot that left you cumming around his digits. Your hands flew to his hair, pulling him against your center as you rode out your high. You looked down and saw his piercing blue eyes staring back at you, clouded with lust.
Legs still shaking you watched as he sat up, smirking as he brought the two fingers that were coated in your slick up to his lips, slipping his fingers into his mouth - his eyes rolling to back of his head as he tasted you.
The blush coating your face only got redder, feeling the throb between your legs return again. You looked so innocent to him, hair a mess, still coming down from the blissful high of your orgasm. You practically glowed in the low lighting, a faint halo of cursed energy above your head. He crawled on top of you, letting out a growl as he grabbed your face and pulled you in for a bruising kiss. With one hand on the back of your neck, you felt his other trail down to your thighs, continuing to tear the leggings off you completely - underwear soon following. Blindly you grabbed at the edge of his sweatpants, struggling to take them off him.
Frustrated you let out a soft groan into his mouth. He pulled away from your kiss for a moment, a trail of spit following your lips as you broke apart. He swiftly tugged down his pants low enough for his length to spring up, slapping against his stomach. Slowly he started to grind against your center, your slick coating his cock. Wordlessly he sat up, bringing you with him. He lined you up perfectly with his cock, letting you slide down on him slowly. You balanced yourself shakily, hands resting on his thighs.
You felt so stretched every time, so full. He rubbed against your walls as you sat, facing him. Pulling you closer his hands went back to your ass, groping and kneading as he guided you up and down his length - lifting and dropping you in a steady rhythm.
Gojo dipped his head down to the crook of your neck, lips sucking lightly at the sensitive skin. After your first orgasm, your nerves felt like they were on fire, every touch from your Sensei sent electricity through your body continuously bringing you closer and closer to your end again.
"Feel good?" He murmured in between leaving marks up and down your neck, biting carefully. "Feel good being stretched on my cock, baby?"
You nodded lightly, leaning into his chest as you rode him. You felt your mind numb as all you could think about was the pleasure spreading.
You snapped out of the sex filled haze when you felt his fingers thumb at your clit, a jolt making you shake and moan loudly "S-sensei."
The moans spurred him on, no longer guiding you but now snapping his hips up into you at a rough pace. You were nearing your second release and Gojo was desperate to feel you come around him.
You were so tired, sweat and slick dripping off your bodies and onto the yoga mat. Your head rested on his shoulder as he fucked you, soft moans spilling from your lips. "That's it baby, look so pretty wrapped around me, squeezing me with your cunt so perfectly."
Gojo brushed the hair sticking to your face away, petting you softly despite the brutal tempo his hips kept. Lifting your head towards him he kissed you again. You responded with the remaining strength you had left in you, moving your body in time with him again. He let out a deep moan, the sound going straight to your core. "M' gonna come." You said, almost breathless at this point, so fucked out and tired from the long day.
Once again his thumb brushed your clit, giving you just enough to tip over the edge, your mind blanking as you spasmed around his cock and in his arms. Your walls milked him as you came. His hips soon stuttering as he joined you in the bliss riding the high out together as you came undone in his arms.
You slumped on his chest, his arms holding you in place. You felt so so safe, "I don't wanna move." You mumbled.
"Then we won't, I'm not going anywhere." You knew he was lying, Gojo was going to leave eventually and it scared you. He was going to leave one day and probably not come back.
"Why don't you take me on missions ever." The thought had been bouncing around in your head for months. Sure it'd been an afterthought as of late but it still crept into your brain at night sometimes. You felt him tense beneath you for a moment.
You half expected Gojo to make a joke to try to get out of answering when he responded, "I'm afraid that if I take you with me you'll get hurt."
"But-" You began ready to defend yourself. You were the best in the class and trained regularly. Gojo of all people knew that.
"Itadori died, (y/n)." Your words quickly died on your tongue, "He's fine now but we both know you wouldn't be as lucky. Think about how we'd all feel if we lost you." He stressed, Gojo's usual playful tone vanishing as he got serious. "I-I can't go through that with you. I can't watch you die, (y/n)."
Your eyebrows furrowed as you heard his voice begin to crack, you craned your head up to look at him. Tears had begun to form in the edges of his eyes. "I love you, and I can't lose you."
Without thinking you reached your hand up and brought your lips together in a soft kiss. "I love you too, Satoru. I'm not going anywhere either."
That was a lie, just like his was. But in the moment it didn't matter. You had something more than most other sorcerers did.
Love.
Expect the Unexpected: dadstiel father's day ficlet
based off this anon's genius ask
They were late. Not that they actually had a strict schedule to stick to, but when it came to hunts, Claire didn't like to mess around. She did take this very seriously after all.
But the drive took longer than expected and they didn't get to the motel until around three am, and it took them longer to get out of bed this morning, which was admittedly Claire's fault. And they forgot to steam out their suits with the bathroom shower, so now they're late, in slightly wrinkled suits, speed walking through the parking lot at almost ten thirty am. And yeah maybe Claire's freaking out a bit, but what if the messy suits give them away, or what if another hunter got here already? Maybe they should run? The parking lot is empty so it's not lik-
"Hey, slow down, I don't think they bodies are going anywhere" Kaia laughed, gently grabbing Claire's hand to pull her back.
"I know, but we said we'd get there by nine thirty an-"
"Claire. The case isn't gonna disappear if we're forty five minutes later than we wanted to be. Okay?" Kaia assured, as she forced Claire to stop walking for a moment.
God why did she always have to be right?
"I know I know it's jus-okay fine" Claire sighed in defeat, but Kaia rewarded her with a quick peck on the lips, and pulled her inside.
They both flashed their badges with practiced confidence, and were easily lead to the correct room. The secretary didn't even bat an eye at their slightly wrinkled suits.
Yeah so maybe Claire was freaking out for noth-
"Agent Joel, and this is my partner Agent Cyrus"
Fuck. There's no way
(read rest under the cut)
"Clai-"
"Agents. I didn't know you were also assigned this case"
Because standing over the dead body on the examining table, was Castiel and Jack, in that ratty trench coat and a too big suit respectively.
Well, apparently another hunter did beat them to the case.
"Uh could you give us a moment to confer?" Cas asked attempting to hide his surprise, and the coroner nodded and left without a word.
"Claire! Kaia! I didn't know you guys were working the case too!" Jack started surprised, running over to give each of them a quick hug. They had met a ton of times over the past year, sometimes he even came and hung out at Jody's. And after the initial shock of Cas having a three year old who looked like he was twenty, Claire honestly liked the kid.
"Hey Jack, Cas. We didn't know you guys would be here either? I guess wires got crossed or something?" Kaia shrugged as she gave a little wave to Cas. But before Claire could say anything, Jack was tugging Kaia off to the side, talking a mile a minute about god knows what. And Cas was making his way, over to Claire.
"Hello Claire. I'm sorry I had no idea you two would be working this case. Jacks just been begging to go on another hunt, and this was the closest one to the Bunker. But we can try to find a diff-"
"Nono it's not a big deal. We can just find a different case. It wouldn't be fair, since the kid seems pretty excited about it" Claire said trying to shrug it off.
It's not like she was emotionally attached to this particular case, but it's been a while since her and Kaia had been on a hunt alone. So yeah maybe she was looking forward to it, bu-
"Well, maybe we could all work the case together? That is, if you'd want to?" Cas offered with a slightly nervous smile.
Okay so, it's not that Claire doesn't like Cas, she's seen him a lot over the years, they text and talk all the time, and he's been there for her a lot lately. Claire actually really likes the guy, but it's not like she's gonna tell him that, but it's just-Cas always treats her like she's the same naive teenager she was when they met again six years ago. And she's grown and learned a lot, she's a professional hunter now. At least Dean, and hell even Jody, gets that, they see the changes, but Cas.....
Claire glances over his shoulder to see Jack and Kaia laughing as to themselves, and she feels something pull in her chest as she quickly looks back to Cas.
Damnit.
"Uh sure, could be fun I guess? Besides we haven't seen you or the kid in the a while, but you have to explain why there's four FBI agents working this single murder case" Claire asserts, but Cas smiles brightly anyway.
"Deal" Cas agrees with a little tip of his head. God what a fucking dork, Claire thinks with a fond eyeroll.
“Also, Joel and Cyrus, really?” Claire teased as she walked over to join Kaia and Jack.
“I let Jack pick them out, and he insisted on picking our favorite singers” Cas sighed fondly, causing Claire to tip her head back in laughter.
And just like that the Coroner came back in, and they each took turns asking the routine questions, Jack with maybe too bright of a smile on his face. The guy was twenty-five, and his friends dared him to spend a night alone in this local old house that was apparently, haunted for real. And when his friends went to pick him up in the morning, they found him bleeding out in the foyer, with giant gashes all over.
So they decided to check out the house first, where Kaia and Jack both got tossed across the room by some creepy looking guy with a giant meat cleaver. Which basically confirmed Claire's theory of it being vengeful spirit, and they went back to Cas and Jack's room to research who the guy might be. So simple salt and burn.
And overall, things were actually going really great, Claire got to spend time with Kaia, plus she got to see Jack and Cas and share some laughs doing what she loves. She also got to help Cas show Jack some of the ropes, give him some hunting tips, which was awesome, since she's never gotten to be the teacher in this situation.
"Alright so tonight, why don't Kaia and I check out the house to make sure it's really gone, while Jack and Cas go find the guys grave?" Claire suggested as she stole a french fry off of Kaia's plate, who hummed in agreement
"Oh we get to burn the bones? I've only gotten to do that once before!" Jack began loudly, but quickly changed to a whisper after a warning look from Cas, they were in a crowded diner after all.
But the only one who hadn't spoken was Cas, who's face was scrunched up in thought.
"Claire I'm not sure splitting up is the best idea" Cas supplied carefully, which made Claire roll her eyes in annoyance.
God there he goes again, acting like Claire's some dumb kid. As if she hasn't handled herself just fine for years.
"C'mon Cas, me and Kaia hunt alone all the time, hell I've even done a ton of solo hunts. It'll be more effective this way, you burn the bones, and if it doesn't work we'll know immediately and figure out another way to waste the guy" Claire continued and watched as Cas looked from Jack to Kaia and back to Claire, sighing in defeat.
"Okay, but we'll all stay on the phone in case burning the bones doesn't work" Cas bargained, which Claire assumed was fair, and they all went back to eating happily.
So they split up, Claire and Kaia set up a salt line in the foyer, rock salt guns loaded and ready to go, with Cas and Jack on speaker at the cemetery. But of course, torching the bones didn't work. So now they had a pissed off, homicidal spirit chasing them with a giant meat cleaver, as Claire and Kaia raced around the house looking for the object it might be attached too while Jack and Cas yelled through the phone.
So yeah things were going pretty great actually.
Until they weren't.
"Cas I had it handled, I didn't need-"
"Claire I know, but it already sliced your arm and it was lunging right at yo-"
"But I was fine. I can take care of mys-"
"Claire, I know that-and please stop throwing your arm around you're going to reopen the wound-Claire, I was only trying to pro-"
"Well I didn't ask you to, I didn't ask you for any of this. I'm not some dumb little kid. I've been doing this for years, and I'm good at what I do, I can handle some stupid spirit. And I certainly don't need you to protect me from anything, since you did a pretty shit job of that already" Claire shouted, turning to look at him.
And when she caught sight of his wide, ashamed eyes, she felt something drop deep in her stomach, all of the fight draining out of her.
"Cas no I didn-I just-" Claire groaned running her hands through her hair, daring a glance over at Jack and Kaia who were frozen on the bed, looking at her with a hint of sympathy in their eyes. Her eyes darted back to Cas who's looked the same, except they were mostly filled with guilt.
Great. Just fucking great.
"Ya know what, I'm gonna run to the drug store-get some more bandaids. I'll be back" Claire huffed slamming the door behind her, and trudging across the motel parking lot to her car.
As she walked into the drug store, her mind was racing, rage still burning away in her stomach, and she mindlessly examined each box of bandaids.
This was stupid. The hunt was over, the guy was dead, turns out his murder weapon was the obejct they had to destroy. So it doesn't even matter anymore, but Claire's just so-
She tossed a box of bandaids back on the shelf. Maybe she should have just let Cas heal-no. Just another thing Claire thinks he needs to do for her.
And where does Cas get off trying to assume what's best for her? She can handle herself just fine, she's almost twenty four for gods sake. She's been hunting on her own for years now, and she's damn good at it, even Jody says so. She's grown and learned a lot so why can't Cas fucking just back off? And who the hell does Cas think he is, anyway? She doesn't need him to protect her, she doesn't need someone to save her, definitely not Cas of all peop-
With a huff Claire shoves another box back on the shelf, maybe a bit too aggressive and digs her palms into her eyes to ground herself.
What is she doing?
She forgave- or as close to forgiveness as you can get with this kinda thing- Cas a long time ago. She didn't wanna live with that rage and pain anymore, it was weighing her down and it fucking sucked. So she's made "peace" with it. And if she's really being honest, she really does like Cas a lot, he's like some doofy, powerful guy, who says some of the weirdest and funniest things she's ever heard. Plus, he sure as hell cares a lot, and he's tried to make it as "right", as possible and respected what Claire wanted.
But just because Claire's made peace with it and thinks he's a good guy, doesn't mean she's not allowed to be pissed.
Claire quickly swipes a brand of bandaids and gauzes she's used before, and weaves her way through the aisles. But she catches something out of the corner of her eye that has her stopping in her tracks.
A Father's Day display.
Something drops deep in the pit of her stomach, as her heart leaps into her throat.
And she's instantly transported back to age five, with memories of homemade cards, barbeques in the backyard, and her dad with a bright smile as he carefully opened her gift. A new tie.
She feels her phone buzz in her pocket, effectively breaking her out of the trance. She quickly swipes at her eyes before reading it.
It’s an apology from Cas.
Claire feels herself rubbing at her eyes again, the grief and pain of loss mixing with guilt and affection and confusion and anger all at once, struggling to gain dominance.
But before she can even process it all, another text come through, asking if she can grab some of Jack's favorite snacks, with way too many emojis.
And before she realizes it, a wet laugh escapes, as she squeezes the phone in her hand. She quickly glances back up at the display, a small, somber smile pulling at her lips.
And she makes a choice.
The next morning they’re all lingering in the parking lot before saying their goodbyes. Claire offered to check them all out, dragging Jack along before leaving Kaia and Cas alone.
"Here, you should be the one to give it to him" Claire says quickly stuffing a bag in Jack's hands.
"But it's from all of us?" Jack questioned, familiarly tilting his head, and Claire couldn't help but smile.
Last night Claire went back to the drugstore, now with Kaia and Jack in tow under the guise of picking up dinner. They each signed the card, even convincing Kaia to write something too. Jack even insisted on getting him one of those cheesy #1 Dad mugs, because apparently even though Cas didn't need it, he liked to drink coffee.
"Yeah I know, but you picked out the mug. So you can give it to him later" Claire assured, and quickly stalked across the parking lot with Jack in tow.
Jack can just hide it in his backpack and give it to Cas when they get home, so he can read their messages in a place where Claire is preferably, not present.
But to Claire's horror, annoyance at her own self because she should have seen this coming, Jack immediately handed Cas the gift.
"Happy Father's Day! It's from all of us, I know it's early but I thought you should open it while we're all together!" Jack declared with a bright smile, while Kaia gently found and squeezed Claire's hand. Cas just looked over at Claire and Kaia, confusion swimming in his eyes
"We all picked it up from the drugstore when we went to grab dinner last night. Thought it might be nice" Kaia answered evenly, but Claire could tell she was nervous. She knew she was worried about how Kaia fit into this fam...well whatever it was.
Cas simply nodded as he worked to recover from his initial shock, he slowly pulled out the mug first, smiling as he read it.
"I picked out the mug! But Claire put the quotes around the Dad, she said you'd think it was funny" Jack informed him, which only caused Cas to chuckle warmly as he pulled out the card.
Claire thought her heart might hammer out of her chest as she leaned into Kaia's touch. Damnit, why couldn't the kid have just waited until he was home.
"Thank you. All of you, thi-this means so much" Cas choked out, voice thick as he finished reading with a disbelieving smile. He hugged Jack first, pressing a kiss to his head.
"See, he loved it? You should talk to him" Kaia suggested in a no nonsense tone, pressing a kiss to Claire's lips before walking towards their car. Cas stopped her of course, wrapping her in a tight hug, and Kaia whispered something Claire couldn't make out, before she pulled Jack over to the other side of the lot. Claire looked at Cas, noticing his eyes were shining, and quickly looked at a rock on the ground as if it was the most interesting thing in the world.
"That was very kind of you. You didn't have to do all that for me" Cas said softly as he cautiously approached Claire, leaving some space between them.
"Yeah well, I don't know. I saw the cards at the store and I thought it might be nice..." Claire trailed off, braving another glance at Cas who's eyes were a little misty. Her eyes flitted to the side to see Kaia giving her an encouraging and a nod towards Cas, before turning back to Jack.
Well, it's now or never.
"Look Cas. I'm sorry I blew up yesterday, and I appreciate your-your apology. But I don't need you to protect me, you gotta know I'm not some dumb-"
"Claire, I know. You've become an incredible hunter, I'm not worried about your hunting skills or think that you need protecting. I just worry and want to protect you because I care about you" Cas stated sincerely.
Oh.
And yeah she knows Cas cared and she knows he was only trying to help, and maybe logically she knows that Cas was't acting like that because he thought she was a some inexperienced crap hunter. But hearing it is just-
Something warm swims in her stomach, as her heart thumps against her chest, as she swallows thickly.
"Listen, about the card, I- I know you aren't him, and you'll never be him okay? So you aren't my dad and I’m not looking to replace but-but you're kinda-you've kinda been like a Da-a figure lately and I know you said you care and I appreciate-and I car-I feel lik-"Claire attempted to choke out, but the next thing she knew, she's stopping and flinging her arms around his neck, hoping it'll convey everything she wants to say.
And it must, because Cas' arms wrap tightly around her, and she finds herself grabbing the back of that ratty trench coat, smiling to herself for a moment.
When they pulled away Cas gives her a soft smile, as she quickly wipes at her eyes.
"You and Kaia should come for dinner next Friday at the bunker. Deans texted me about it six times, and I'm sure Jack would love to show you his room....if you wanted that is-of course you don't hav-"
"Yeah Cas, that actually sounds kinda nice. Haven't had a chance to bother Dean in a while, anyway" Claire shrugged with a smile, which he easily returned.
And later as Claire drove back to Jody's, one hand on the wheel, the other loosely grasping Kaia's, she found herself really looking forward to next Friday.
Din Djarin x Fem!Reader; warnings: S2 Finale Spoilers!
The Mandalorian Masterlist
»»————- ♡ ————-««
"Din?" his name was soft - reverent - as you stirred from slumber. Stretching, you reached across the plush bed to reach for your riduur, but instead of his warm, soft body, you found nothing. Emptiness. Sighing lightly, you realized the sheets were long cold. Again.
Pulling the soft, plush blankets back, you slipped out of the bed. You pulled on your discarded robe before striding over to the balcony where you could see his exhausted frame. He was leaning over the stone railing, head hung low as he clasped his hands together, almost as if he was praying to something - anything.
Maybe he was. Maybe he was praying to Maker to keep him safe. You safe. To figure out everything that had happened in the last several weeks. Everything he had ever known and come to know was crumbling apart right in front of him. Except you; his rock, his partner, his everything.
Din Djarin had never been a religious man, not unless, of course, it was something to do with his creed. But even that was out the window now.
He had so many questions, and yet so few answers. All he had now was you. And it was enough, more than enough.
You grounded him, enveloped him in a sense of peace and warmth in the chaos that seemed to rule his life. He was sure you were the only thing between sanity and him giving up and becoming an unholy mess at the moment.
"Din," you whispered his name to keep from startling him. He remained silent, unmoving as you came up behind him, wrapping your arms his waist before resting your head on his shoulder, "my light and stars. You weren't in bed."
"Couldn't sleep," he murmured as he put a hand onto top of yours, the cool metal of his wedding band almost burning your skin as he offered a gentle squeeze to your hand. You mumbled something inaudible before pressing a few kisses to the bare golden skin of his shoulder.
"I know, Din," you said softly, "but you need to try and rest. You haven't slept much in weeks."
"Yes," you felt his shoulders slump as he exhaled slowly, "its just...its..."
"I know," you admitted quietly, "I know its hard right now. So hard. But it will be okay, he will be okay. This is not...this is not the end. We will see him again, Din. He is our son."
Your Mandalorian remained silent for a few moments, but you could hear his breathing grow ragged, and his inhales and exhales become more sporadic. It was quiet, only the soft sounds of the waves of the lake slapping into sand and the singing of songbirds could be heard. Eventually, you heard a few sniffles before feeling a few tears spill onto your hand.
"Shhh," you soothed him, stroking your thumb over the back of his hand. You hummed softly under your breath as you held him, wishing you could take his pain and hurt away. You were grieving too, the sorrow and pain ran deep, but you knew it wasn't forever. And right now you needed to he strong for him, for him and yourself, for Grogu.
"I'm..." he stopped himself as you kissed the back of his neck, squeezing him as tightly as possibly to let him know just how loved he was.
"Its okay, my love," you promised softly, "let it go, let it all out. Its not good to hold it all in."
And so he did. He let himself weep, to cry with reckless abandon as he turned around in your arms and engulfed you in his own, swallowing you up as he clung onto as though his life depended on it. Burrowing his face in the juncture of your neck and shoulder, you reached up and carded a hand through his dark curls. Rocking him back and forth softly, you rubbed his back in calming motions, and offered him tender words of reassurance, much as you would have done for your little one.
In that moment you radiated nothing but love onto him, trying to convey how much he meant to you, how he was the brightest star in your galaxy, how everything would be okay.
Eventually, his heart wrenching sobs turned to quiet sniffles, and after a time you were once again met with nothing but the tranquil stillness of nature.
Din pulled back from you, his large hands finding your face as he studied your features. Your hands went to his wrists as you held onto them gently. He leaned forward and pressed a small kiss to your forehead, "thank you mesh'la. I love you more than you will ever know."
"I love you too, Brown Eyes," you offered him a small smile as he eyes crinkled softly with the ghost of a smile, "you know I love you with all of my heart. You are everything to me, Din."
"I don't know what I'd do without you," he admitted softly as you pressed a kiss to his lips. He brought his hands down to your waist as you gently wiped away the remnants of his tears, "I can't lose you. Not after..."
"You didn't lose him, Din," you insisted, "this was what we knew might happen all along. The bond the two of you share is immeasurable. You will always find your back to each other. I swear it - and I will be by your side always. We’re a family, and that means no matter how great the distance or time, in the end we will always be together.”
"It hurts," he admitted with a shaky breath as you offered a nod in understanding, "when will it stop hurting? I don't want to feel like this forever. I thought it would get better.”
“I wish I had an answer for you,” you wrapped him back up in your touch, “it’s going to hurt, and that’s okay, it’s normal. But it won’t always be like this; it will get better and easier, but the most important thing is that you remember that what you did, the choice he made, was the right thing. You didn’t do anything bad or wrong, even though it might feel like that now.”
“I know,” he agreed with the smallest of smiles as he kissed the side of your, “this was my mission from the start....and he chose to reach out to the Jedi.”
“He did,” you concluded, “but that he doesn’t mean he didn’t want to be with you, or that he didn’t love you, or stop thinking of you as his father. He needs to do this for himself too.”
“You must think me foolish for getting so attached.”
“Never,” you promised sharply, turning his face so he was looking at you, “experiencing emotion is not a shameful thing. You loved - love - him, Din, and he feels the same. There is nothing wrong with opening your heart and loving. Look at us; did you ever think we’d end up here?”
“No,” he sniffled quietly as you laughed at the memory of your first encounter with Din Djarin, “you tried to blast me to pieces and then knocked me out.”
“I thought you were an intruder and I was trying to protect myself,” you insisted with a kiss to his cheek, “my point is that its okay to love and sometimes it is scary and daunting, but its okay. Love is...its everything. And with it, we’ll get through anything. You taught him so much and he did the same to you.”
“He did...before him, before you, I didn’t think I would ever...” he stopped and caught your gaze, his soft,dark eyes looking at with such intensity, but still so much vulnerability, “we’ll get him back. One day. And no matter how long it is, it doesn’t anything. We’ll always be aliit.”
“Exactly,” you agreed, scratching gently at his scalp as he keened into your touch, “family is everything, you know this. Besides, your story... his story is far from over. There is still much left to do in this life.”
“I think I’d like a long break first,” for the first time in weeks, since he’d made his tearful goodbye to Grogu, you hear him laugh. A genuine, warm, full bodied laugh. The sound was enough to make your heart warm and settle down in your chest. It was a beautiful sound that you had desperately missed, and hearing it was again set everything right in the galaxy. You hummed in agreement as you let him hold you and rested your head against his chest, “I’d like to spend some time alone with my riduur. To rest. To relax - to breathe.”
“We have all the time in the galaxy, Din,” you promised, “we can stay here as long as we want.”
“I like that,” he agreed, kissing the crown of your head, “besides, who knows what hellish adventure awaits whenever we decide to rejoin the world?”
“It’s never a dull day for Din Djarin, or should I say my Mand’alor?” you teased as you started to reached for his hands to pull him back inside so he could actually rest.
“Oh no,” he groaned jokingly, “please, not you too.”
“I jest,” you insisted as he let you pulled him inside, “if you’re the ruler of anything, you’re my King, Din. I am yours, always and forever.”
“I like the sound of that,” he sighed contentedly, “Ni kar'tayl gar darasuum.”
“Ni kar'tayl gar darasuum, Din.
