CHARACTERS: Lucifer, Mammon, Leviathan, Satan, Asmodeus, Beelzebub, and Belphegor

Disclaimer⚠️ Characters mentioned are from the otome game Obey me! and none of this is cannon from the actual game. Enjoy!

You just so happened to stumble upon the idea, nothing more. Obviously, you needed to confront all seven demon brothers about this if you wanted it that badly. Now you visited all of them one by one to talk about getting a dog.

Lucifer

First questions you why you want one

Asks if his brothers were involved with the thought

Requests a detailed and informative list of reasons why you want one

Will probably be slightly offended for Cerberus (face it, unless we ask Solomon for some magic or charm for us to even touch the three headed beast, I think I prefer a different kind of canine friend) (no offense to Cerberus ✌️)

Will find other reasons to protest because accidents could happen with the new dog around (he was also thinking about that forbidden book Satan keeps, though I know he personally wants to see Mammon switch bodies with the dog, poor guy😭)

Maybe after some begging, he says he'll try to bring it up to Diavolo for approval

Mammon

Questions why you want one

Also questions if his presence was not good enough for you (or if it was because he wasn't always around enough)

The thought of a stinking dog walking around his room kind of scared him and said that it'll probably find a way to his precious baby (his credit card, Goldie 🙄) and slobber all over it/ her

You begged, and now he feels bad for saying no, so he said he'll tell you some specific ones that are allowed and more preferred by him himself

Leviathan

Probably thought about some other dog, most likely a virtual one from one of the games from Akuzon (or something like that)

Also concerned if the dog would find it's way into his room and mess up his anime figures

The same as Mammon, Levi gave you a specified breed that only he would allow to roam in the House of Lamentation

As long as it's disciplined and well trained, he's alright with having a dog around

Satan

Since he's a cat person, he refused to even speak the word 'dog'

But you wanted one so bad you started being a nuisance to him by endlessly begging

That was a big mistake, now you've pissed off the Avatar of Wrath 😐 (you better run and hide)

You thought it was an obvious no from him, but later in the day he said he'll think about it more thoroughly

Asmodeus

He was surprisingly on board with the thought of having a cute puppy and rambled nonstop on how he could do all sorts of makeovers with it.

But afterwards, he's considered the cons in having one (shedding, smell, etc.)

Like the others, he's preferred and specified a few breeds allowed around him

He also requested you to apply lotion on his back...

Beelzebub

The only thought that came to his mind when you mentioned it: "is it edible?"

You explain to him that getting a dog was like Cerberus's case; for companionship and comfort, and NOT to be eaten

He got disappointed when he heard he couldn't eat it, but he was actually curious and wanted to get one right away

"Can I eat it if it misbehaves?"

Belphegor

At first, he couldn't care less about having one

But after giving it more thought, he told you that he didn't want to be woken up by a dog's tongue whenever he's asleep

When you told him that you'll make sure that it doesn't piss him off, he's still not sure.

Like Satan, he'll give it some thought and ask Lucifer about it too.

In all honesty, he just wanted to get back to sleep

Now you wait on what Diavolo and Lucifer think. Would they consider a Papillon or a Samoyed?

Every year, you looked forward to one thing the most, and that was your annual vacation. Your whole family and your best friend San's, altogether far from the stressful days. It's been a tradition ever since you were a little kid, and it's still an ongoing thing, even now when you are all grown up. You never go to the same place twice, you are trying to travel through the whole country, that was the entire concept your guy's dads came up with.

You always go with two cars, one with San's family, his dad, mom, and his older sister, and one with your's dad, mom, you, and of course San. When you were little, San always wanted to go with you, because you were inseparable. You were an only child, you never had someone to play with at home, to be said you always were a little jealous of San and Haneul. They were there for each other always, Haneul was the best big sister to San, you just wished you were their sibling too. But they took you in as their own.

In truth, they always thought of you as their own sibling, you all grew up together, and you and San being the same age made everything much easier. And there was Haneul, who always acted like a big sister to you, you looked up and learned a lot of things from her, she even helped you get ready for your first date.

"Is it on? Let me see it already!" Haneul shouted from behind the closed door. You put on one of her dresses, which she gave you so that you can wear it tonight. This was your very first date, and the guy from your class that you liked asked you out to watch a movie with him. Sure you were nervous, but to be honest you were more excited.

After school ended, you literally ran straight to Haneul's house, you asked her to help you get ready. You have never really done your make-up or hair like this before, so you couldn't be more thankful to have someone like her in your life, who can teach you things like this.

You opened the door and stepped out with that little flowery summer dress on you from her bathroom. You weren't much of a "dress" girl, you liked comfy pants much better, but you have to go all out on your first date, right?

"So, what do you think?" You asked of the girl in front of you.

"I think it's perfect Y/n. If Daejung doesn't fall in love with you tonight, then he is dumb. Or blind." You both laughed at the last statement. But that soon stopped, when the door to Haneul's room suddenly opened, after two little knocks. You didn't even have time to answer it before San poked his head in.

"Hey, I just heard you two talking. Y/n, why didn't you wait for me? We could have come home together." He looked a little disappointed. You two always came home together from school every single day. You only live two streets away from each other, still, San always walks you home first, even though he lives closer to the school. "Wow, I've never seen you in a dress like this before." He suddenly snapped out of his thoughts and got distracted.

"I know, but how do you like it?" You spun around, so he could see the whole dress. You waited for his answer with curiosity. You were interested in San's opinion, he was your best friend after all and he is a guy, he should know what other guys like.

"You look beautiful Y/n, as always, it doesn't matter what you wear. But why are you in one of Haneul's dresses?" Oh yes, in the big excitement, you forgot to tell San about the news.

"She's going on a date with Lee Daejung!!" Haneul's told him excitedly, you couldn't even say anything. You wanted to say something, but nothing came to your mind. You don't know if San's disappointment is because you didn't tell him about it or that you left him there in school or something completely else.

"What?? So this is why you didn't wait for me after school, hm?" You've never expected this reaction from San, he seems kinda upset about this date. He must have found something more interesting on the floor because he didn't look back up at you, he just turned around and walked out the door, but before he completely closed it behind him he said one last thing. "You deserve so much better than him!"

Thinking back San never liked any of the guys, you dated. But now you know he just wanted to protect you, because at the moment you didn't see how shitty those guys were, and you wish you would've just listened to him, then you would have saved yourself from a couple of heartbreaks.

You've been in the car for the past 2 hours, and while you are all nostalgic, the boy next to you is deep in his sleep. You can't blame him for it, he had a schedule yesterday, from where he went home very late at night, but still proceeded to come early in the morning today. The moment the traffic jam cleared out and you left the city, he was fast asleep.

And here you were bored as hell, without your best friend giving you any attention.

You couldn't be happier, when the car stopped, and your dad announced that you have finally arrived at your destination. San was still asleep, and you wondered how can someone sleep so much, not even speaking, from any place he slept in the car. The road to this campsite through the forest was very bumpy and he didn't even wake up once.

"San-a, wake up sleepy head. We're finally here." You shake his whole body to wake him up, and your mission seemed successful when you saw two drowsy eyes open up at your loud voice, (he probably didn't even notice that you shook him).

"What? We're already here?" He stretched his whole body and you could only wonder how much it hurts right now, that he slept in a very uncomfortable position for hours. You two get out of the car, leaving a big slam behind you when you close the door. "Did I snore loudly? I'm sorry for that, I didn't know I was that tired."

"No, it's okay. Everyone knows that you work too hard, so don't worry. This little trip is for you to finally rest." You bumped his shoulder for him to remember your words later. You don't want him to work here even more, he seriously needs some rest, and you are worried about him all the time anyways. But you know San is the type of person who is unable to rest for more than an hour, he just has too much stamina. He looked at you with such a loving way, that even his dimples showed up, it made your stomach flip and you couldn't help but smile back at him.

You two walk up to the place where your parents have already packed everything out of the cars, the only thing left is to set the tents up. You girls decided to give that work to the boys, and you will explore the area until then and bring back some wood for the fire. It was only the second time you come camping on vacation, usually, you rent out a house or go to a hotel, but since this one's purpose was to relax a little, where can you relax more than in the forest?

You were around 7 when you last came camping, but that whole experience was a disaster.

"What was that sound? You heard it too, right?" You asked San as you sat up in your shared tent. Your parents decided it would be convenient if all three of you kids would sleep together in one tent because your still small bodies would just fit in there all and in that case, they don't have to buy another one.

"Yes, I heard it too." San sat up next to you too with so much concern. You moved closer to each other finding comfort in the other's presence. You both were just two scared little kids.

"Wait, where is Haneul?" You asked looking at the boy next to you, worried about the oldest one. As San was about to say something the whole tent started to shake as something was growling from outside. Only screams could be heard from the two of you as you hugged San closer to yourself, you don't want to die at such a young age.

"Don't worry Y/n, no matter what happens I will protect you!" San tried to calm you down a little, but he was just as scared as you if not more. But you knew you can count on him, he really did prove to you multiple times that he will be there for you always, and will protect you no matter what, even at this young age. His hug became tighter around you, and at that moment you indeed felt safer in his arms.

In the next moment, laughter came from the outside and the tent's entrance zipped out. Haneul came into the tent with tears in her eyes from laughing so hard. "Omg, you should've heard yourselves, it was so funny!" While she couldn't stop laughing, you were so confused, but San didn't let go of you, you were still hugging each other.

Even now, San never stopped caring about you, even when his schedule was tight he always found time in between breaks to text you or send you a picture, and when he forgot about it you knew at the end of the day he will call you no matter what.

"Mom, I swear to god, you can go back with them. I can pee on my own!" You told your mother, she made you so annoyed sometimes. But she was just worried about you, wandering off alone in the woods, even tho you didn't plan to go that far away, you just wanted to pee in peace. You held it in all day in the car, you can't wait any longer.

"Okay, just be careful, honey!" She hesitantly turned around and went back to the camp with Haneul and her mom. Your mother tends to get a bit too protective from time to time, but you don't really get it, what could possibly happen in a few minutes?

You've found a perfect spot and quickly done what you had to. It literally took you like two minutes, nothing more. When you got out, back to the main trail that lead back to the campsite, you saw San just standing there on his own. "What are you doing?" You asked him.

"I saw you go in there, so I waited for you here." He tried to explain, a bit flustered. "The others came back and you weren't there, I got a little worried." He pointed behind him, where he came from.

"But how did you get here so fast?" And that's when you noticed the drops of sweat on his forehead. You couldn't help, you had to hold back your laughter. "I ran." He confessed, looking down not able to look you in the eyes. You busted out laughing at this, but honestly deep down his actions gave you little butterflies in your stomach.

"Don't laugh at me! You never know who walks around in the woods, even an animal could have attacked you." He said all pouty, turning around pretending as if he got mad at you, but you both knew he was unable to do that. You followed him all the way back, trying to catch up to him. He was just teasing you, he looked back every now and then to make sure you were following him, he would never leave you behind.

Arriving back, Haneul told you that you are going to sleep with her in one tent. San got all sulky from the info because he has to sleep alone, but he claimed it was not because he is scared or something, simply just because he doesn't like to sleep alone. You wondered how can someone be so adorable with such a big body, but that's just Choi San. He had to understand you are not that small anymore, you can't all three of you fit in one tent now.

It was getting kinda late now, so after the bonfire was put out you all went to your own tents to settle down for the night. It was around one in the morning and you still couldn't fall asleep, you hate these sleepless nights, especially since it had to happen now when you were supposed to be relaxing. The girl next to you was far fast asleep for hours now and you just kept tossing around, it felt like the tent was a sauna, and every time you closed your eyes it automatically opened again.

You had no other choice, you decided you needed some fresh air, so you opened up the zipper and climbed out of that hellhole, but careful not to wake Haneul up. You stretched out all your limbs, but what are you gonna do now, you can't just stand here like this until you will get tired, it's too dark and scary out here.

You looked at the tent, where your best friend is probably sleeping tight right now, but there must be some space for you left there still, right? He is sleeping there all alone, he even said he doesn't like sleeping alone, he wouldn't mind it, right? You hesitated a lot, but after a couple of minutes, you made up your mind and went up there. You slowly opened it up and to your own surprise, San was awake. "Y/n what are you doing here?" He sat up looking at you curiously. "Is everything okay?" He woke up when he heard someone walking around outside.

"Yes, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up." You froze at your place, outside of his tent. What were you supposed to do now? "I just can't sleep, and thought- "

"It's okay, come here!" He lifted his blanket up and pointed to the empty space beside him. He didn't even let you finish your sentence, he knew exactly what you were thinking about, because he was thinking the same thing. You didn't expect anything else from the person who knows you the best.

You carefully climbed in next to the boy. He put his arms around your shoulders and laid you down with him, right at his chest, pulling you closer to his body. You could hear how fast his heart was beating like he ran a marathon.

"You can sleep peacefully now Y/n. I got you." As if you came home to his arms, you felt so comfortable, you couldn't keep your eyes open anymore, the slumber just hit you. And here you were, falling asleep in your best friend's arm once again, he was your own comfort blanket and you can't even imagine what would you do without him.

Rez Dogs Analysis

I want to do a scene analysis of this episode because it was absolutely beautiful!!

BIG TW FOR SPOILERS

In this scene we see Fixico worried about Chebon, trying to apologize (in his own way) by telling him that their family is there to support him. wich is what he really needs and even admits to Mable earlier by saying that Fixico doesn't acknowledge that he doesn't have parents, and how much different their lives are because of it...

but Notice the LIGHTING!!

it's so very colorful and almost Halo like, Chebon even mentions it "Don't you look at me with your holier than thou aura" while getting mad and telling him to fuck off

Then we have the star people secen, on the car ride back home from the river Irene and Bucky are going on about how the relationship between Elders and Kids is severed by the school system.

Immediately the lighting in this scene is very different, devoid of color and almost soulless.

Mind you this is just my theory and observations as a veiwer!!

I believe the alien claiming to be Chebon's "ancestor" dosent appear because of the drugs but in fact a direct consequence of having a broken relationship with family. Throughout the episode we see him denying support whether directly (like with Fixico) or indirectly (with the school coach). It's obvious he doesn't want help but the people around him can tell he desperately needs it and want to be there for him as a community

I don't believe it is entirely his fault although he does deny help, to me he has a reason to! he feels ostracized by his community, being picked on by his friends, and (assumingly) growing up in boarding schools he didn't get those same family relationships as his friends, besides Fixico who he's currently mad at.

The star person that shows up to me is a metaphor for losing your way. Based on the first couple of episodes of the season this visit has effected him into late adulthood, believing in the star people and seeking them out. Chebon/Max is simply a lost soul, failed by the system, and it makes sense he found Bear when he did; Bear was also lost not just physically but spiritually, wanting to leave the reservation and shooing off his spirit guide. He returns to the reservation after the Deer Lady finds him, but not before she kills the Boarding school director/principal.

are we seeing the common theme this season? schooling and taking Indigenous peoples out of their community, and how traumatic this can be on Indigenous peoples. all I can hope is that Bear and the rest of the rez dogs can break this generational trauma.

Ghost. - part 14: Courage

SUMMARY: Loki meets sombody at the TVA he once knew. Unfortunately she doesn't seem to remember him.

"Love gives us courage".

TVA, 2021 – Frame Collapse

"You need to put your head in here so we can scan your temporal aura" O.B. said to Timely.

Loki, who had lived that secene way too many times, sighed and strode across the room, reaching Lydia who was standing beside Mobius.

"I need to talk to you" he told her and wasted no time grabbing her by the arm and dragging her to a corner of the room.

"Hey, what's wrong? What's happening?"

"I want to tell you that I tried" Loki swallowed as Lydia looked at him confused. "I swore to you, I promised you, and I tried. So many times."

"Loki, I don't understand" she looked at him worriedly.

"I went back in time, learned to control temporal jumps, and tried to prevent the collapse of the frame 8 trillion times," he explained with tired eyes.

Lydia looked shocked. Loki had spent centuries looping back and forth in time, for her. For them. For the TVA. Lydia stepped closer to him, stroking his face, observing his weary eyes and his attempt to smile at her.

"Loki" Lydia wanted to tell him that it was enough. That he couldn't go on like this. That if that was to be their end, knowing that he had tried, she would accept it. She couldn't pronunce a word, but Loki understood everything.

"I know what I have to do, one last attempt" he mimicked her and rested his hand on her cheek.

"Don't torture yourself, Loki, please," Lydia shook her head.

"One last attempt" he repeated as his eyes welled up. "I just need to know one thing." Loki took a deep breath, recalling the words the elderly Lydia had said to him. "Do you love me?"

Both of their breaths stopped.

Lydia looked into his blue eyes for what felt like an eternity, and in them, she saw the courage she had lacked until that moment.

"Every time you hold my hands to comfort me, every time you're there when there's no one else I'd want, every time you smile at me, every time you're patient with me, and every time you lose patience. Everytime we argue and everytime we mock each other. Every day, every moment, even when I hate you, I love you, Loki."

Loki began to breathe again when he hadn't even realized he had stopped. He blinked once before bringing her face closer to his and kissing her. With desperation, with sadness, with fear, with courage, and with love. All the love he had and all that she had given him.

He kissed her and held her tightly with all the strength he had in his body.

When he ran out of breath, he pulled away and, holding her close, whispered one thing to her, murmured like a secret against her ear.

"I've kissed you 8 trillion times."

TVA, some days later

Lydia watched Yggdrasil, the Tree of Worlds that concealed Loki.

After kissing her, Loki had rushed downstairs, opened the doors, and before disappearing, he had said he would do it for them. For all of them.

He left and saved the world. Like a real hero. But what burden had he left behind?

Lydia had screamed. She didn't remember what or how long for. She screamed and cried until her throat hurt, then she continued as she lost her voice.

She didn't know how much time had passed since then.

There were days when she felt like she couldn't do it, when she thought that maybe, if he had simply died, it would have been better, rather than seeing him condemned for eternity to the thing he feared most: loneliness. Those were the days when she couldn't stop crying.

There were days when she felt strong, full of hope because at least he was there and she could find a way to reach him, to free him. Those were the days when she studied tucked away among the shelves of the TVA, wandered through spacetime, searching for solutions, and made life hell for Timely and O.B., pressing them to come up with some idea.

And there were days when she felt absolutely nothing. She stood motionless staring at Yggdrasil. She didn't speak, she didn't eat, and anyone who saw her wondered if she was still breathing. Days when she seemed a ghost.

"Here, I thought you might need this,"

Lydia turned to see Mobius. He wasn't doing very well either, and that brought them together.

He handed her a cup, and Lydia took it, letting the smell of coffee fill her nostrils.

"Thank you," she murmured.

"You'll have to accept things, sooner or later," Mobius said, putting his free hand in his pocket while holding a folder in the other.

They had already had that conversation.

"Loki spent centuries, if not thousands of years, trying to save us, Mobius," she took a sip from the cup. "I don't intend to do any less for him."

"You don't have his abilities, Lydia, it's a futile comparison."

"The last time I looked at him, I promised myself that I would save him, just as he saved us," she turned to the analyst. "I've never given up before, and I don't intend to start now."

Mobius clenched the folder in his hand but didn't respond.

"Yet, it's beautiful, isn'it?" He looked through the window.

"Yes. Yes he is".

Getting tangled in a web. A Madame Web, you could say - An Anya Corazón centric Madame Web review (SPOILERS AHEAD)

So, I originally did not planned to pay to watch MW (I did considered watching it later on for free if just to do a funny review), but my best friend wanted to watch it to roast it, so as meanwhile it was her I was like "I'm in".

(Completely unrelated, but adding to the MW watching experience, the top of the projection was off-screen as you can see, and it was like that for 20 minutes, so that was a great sign)

This is going to be focused entirely on Anya, so to give some quick thoughts about the movie itself that you've probably heard from other reviews: yeah, it's bad. We were making fun of it at the beginning but by the last hour we were bored and wanted it to end. The damn stolen taxi got laughs from us, so there's that.

Now, Anya.

Isabela Merced does a fine job with the material she's given. To the credit of the movie, she and Julia are the most likeable of the main protagonists, with Anya being the most sympathetic of the bunch. In what was the cringest secene in the film, were the girls dance to Toxic by Britney Spears on a restaurant's table (my friend was dying, since we're filmmaking students and she was lamenting that this was directed by a woman and she just keep saying that absolutely no girl would act like that and do that) she at least was the only who resisted the most from joining.

This version, as you could guess by her costume, is mostly based on the Marvel's Spider-Man 2017™ cartoon Anya.

She's an academic genius who spits out sciency words and sentences. Even her bolas here seem to have some tech-integrated in them, makingh them more like drones than her traditional ones, at least that's what they look like for like the three seconds they appear on-screen. They still failed to give her a pony tail.

Our first look of her is alongside the other Spider-Women in a future vision were they violently attack and murder in cold blood Ezekiel. They attack him at his apartment and throw him out of the building as they stare at him as he falls.

This is in contrast to her general depiction of her being in a constant struggle to give up to her vengeful tendencies.

TO THE FILM'S CREDIT, it also heavily implies that they were never going to kill him, but that "vision" represented how the Spider-Women trio would lead to his downfall. So if he never chased them he would still be alive in the future.

Now, among other changes...

In a previous post, I reacted strongly about the movie changing her nationality to Peruvian. I got responses saying that the reviewer was wrong and she wasn't peruvian in the film. Having seen the film, yes, i can confirm that she's not peruvian.... they still changed her nationality, though.

In the comics Anya is mexican from her mother's side and puertorrican from her father's. In the movie it's stated that her mom died when she was a child, while his dad was deported. This means that they did changed her nationality, since puertorricans are considered US citizens and therefore can't be deported. It's never stated where exactly she comes from. she's just generic latina.

Althought a illegal immigrant approach could potentially work, the movie does nothing with that beyond having it being a excuse for Anya to be adopted by Cassandra by the end of the movie. Let alone, the fact that the story of the latina character being an ilegal immigrant feels cliche by this point. Even more egregious, to contrast with the comic, her dad is a puertorrican highly respected reporter who was even hired by the Fantastic Four, turning him into a illegal immigrant pretty much added nothing to the story beyond having a orphan Anya.

Overall, in their attempt to make their own version of Anya, as well as shoehorn her into a movie that was not about her, we ended up losing one the most interesting and charming characters and origin stories that can hold a movie by her own.

At the end of it, this movie didn't improve Anya's perception to the general public, but it didn't hurt it either.

It tells you a lot that her cameo in Across the Spider-Verse got more people talking about her than this movie did.

The Deal (2003)

Plot: This politics drama tells the story of the events leading up to the Blair-Brown-Deal.

Do I need Spoilers for a movie based on real events?

Well this subject matter couldn’t be further from Underworld in any way.

This movie opens with a disclaimer stating that some secenes dialogues are invented but it is based on a true story. Followed up by this statement:

"Much of what follows is true."

And...although I think that's very funny, what was the intend behind that? I don't know if that is supposed to make the movie more or less convincig to me...

Anyway...

I’m having a hard time coming up with something to write about for this one. Like it wasn’t boring, far from it actually, I was with it all the way. But still…trying to piece together the details of a political agreement of two polititians in a country I’ve never even been in is kind of difficult. Probably beneficial to have been alive back then aswell. Like I think you need at least some background info to understand this properly. Okay so let me get that info on how the british government works and some of it’s history and I’ll try again.

*Action montage of me researching the british government set to the Rocky Theme*

Allright that’s done, I think I somewhat understand what’s going on now, if you really wanna get into the terminology please google what you don’t understand, I’m already struggling to put this together as is.

So we have Gordon Brown (David Morrissey), who just got elected as the Member of Parliament (MP for short) for Dunfermline East in Scotland. He soon learns that he will have to share his office in London with the MP for Sedgefield, Tony Blair (Michael Sheen). At first Brown isn’t very happy about this, but eventually they become friends. At some point they discuss their goals in political positions and agree that Brown would be better suited as the leader of the party. Stuff happens. One day Browns mentor and head of the party John Smith (Frank Kelly) suffers a fatal heart attack. Quickly Blair decides to run for leadership. Brown is pissed, drama, drama, drama, till Blair reaches out to him, asking him to meet up and settle this matter. They do and aggree that Blair will run for leadership and in turn Brown is assured “unprecedented power as his Chancellor should they win the next election” and “sweeping control of social policy” (quoted from the wikipedia article of the film, Idk how to reword that). Also Brown would be granted Blair’s successor should they be reelected. I left out many characters and some smaller plotpoint, that contributed to this. This films plot spans over several years. Those of you who are really interested in this story should just go and watch the movie, most of the details are not very relevant to my comments. I’ll be a surface skimmer for this one.

To be honest I probably never would’ve touched this film if it wasn’t for this blog. Buuut I’m glad I saw it, I learned stuff. I’m more smart now.

Now the cast in this is great. This film is in essence about the relationships between the people who make politics, like a peek behind the curtain. The characters at the center of it being Brown and Blair obviously and then John Smith and Peter Mandelson (played by Paul Rhys, who you might remember from Gallowglass, I did not know he was in this film going in, so I was pleasantly suprised). And all four work very well together.

Voice of little Cosmo, who is really bad at school presentations: “This movie was good and I liked it because it had a story and characters in it.” (I’m sorry, I’m trash xD I told you I’m struggling to write this)

The four characters have very natural chemistry. Until the big conflict in the third act of course, as it’s supposed to be. And when the situation hits the tipping point, oh boy does it crash hard.

Yay! Goin two for two! (I'll get back to this one later, subtle but genius acting in this one)

Not too long after this they reach their agreement and the film is over. But that’s good, I like that this movie doesn’t drag. It’s exactly as long as it needs to be. That can be a bit of a problem for me with other similar movies. They’re too long and add too many unnecessary details. This one doesn’t, it’s straight forward, I think that’s one of the main reasons I did enjoy it, even if the genre isn’t something I would typically seek out. That plus, well the acting is not just good it's actually entertaining. You know what I mean?

Let me explain, I have something really cool for ya. I did some “research” for you on this one. (I watched interviews) And I learned some interesting things about Michael’s process for getting into a character.

Firstly, because I know he would not like it if I didn’t point this out. He does not do impressions! There is a difference between an impession and performing a real person in a story. An impression is copying a persons look, mannerisms and speech patterns as perfectly as possible. Ususally for satirical purposes. Usually only for a sketch or something short like that. That is not what Michael does when he plays a real person.

So instead on focusing on the outside impression, what he does is, as he puts it himself, he “bathes” in the person so to speak. Meaning he does months of research, watching and reading everything he can about that person, fully immersing himself, so he can build a deeper understanding of what makes them tick, what motivates them and ...you know the internal workings and all that. Their actual personality.

This might seem obvious to some, but to be honest I never thought about how an actor might tackle a task like this before. The absolute best thing though, is listening to Michael talk about his work. He’s so passionate about the characters he plays and the storeis they're in. No matter if it’s about a famous politician, a morally questionable soft angel or a creepy vampire. You can really see that he manages to build a connection with each and every one of them. That’s one of the reasons he’s such a good actor I think. And it's a joy to watch him immers himself.

He said a thing about improv, that I think applies to his acting in general aswell: “(Improv) forces you to make choices in the moment that aren’t intellectual choices. You just have to make a choice, because, it has to be real, cause your living it.”

This stuff requires a deep dedication and knowledge to and of the character and I think this is how we get these brilliant microexpressions he always does. Because in the moment he is that character going through these emotions. There is a deep basis behind what he does. Maybe this is standard practice, maybe not, again, I know nothing of acting, but you can really see the enormous effort he puts into his work and I think that is absolutely amazing.

Just one example is this short second here:

Previously Blair had no problem looking directly at Brown while arguing. But when he actually says out loud, that he thinks he is better (suited) than his opponent, he suddenly can't keep it up anymore. *gasp* Could that be guilt? He knows exactly that he's not only breaking the trust his friend had in him, but also hurting him on a personal level. And all of this is in a few miliseconds! This is exactly what I'm talking about!

This scene in general is just excellent. It's an incredible example of two actors just bouncing off of each other incredibly well! If there's one thing I like even more than Michael Sheen's acting, it's seeing him act with another great actor. That's what I'm here for! That's when the magic happens *u*

Okay enough of me geeking out. All of this said, in this case I unfortunately can't even judge if Michael really succeds at what he set out to do with this role, because I don't know what kind of person Tony Blair actually is. As I said I wasn't there back then. And tbh I'm not yet invested enough to go that deep into this rabbithole. I did watch a few documentaries to familiarize myself with the subject, but my patience for this stuff only goes so far. However for me in this movie he was very convincing as a politician, who won't hesitate to make decisions that will bring him closer to his goals but will have a negative effect on others aswell (Foreshadowing). Anyway judging by the sequels to this and other biographical films he would be cast in in the future, I'd say he did just fine ;)

So, apparently I did have something to say about this one after all.

Summarizing: Give this one a watch, it’s good. And you might learn something.

Ok so I was watching Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets then it got to the secen where Ron and Harry find the diary. And I remembered how in the movie it doesn’t have Ron say never trust something that doesn’t have a head to think for it’s self (or something along those lines). I realized that it does technically have a mind of its own, though it’s a 16 year old kids from the 40s. When I got to thinking, Hogwarts takes all the kids from Europe area (apart from the French) and if I am correct Poland and Germany are both in Europe. During WWII how were there not fights constantly or people killing each other. Because you got a German kid how believes what ever your parents say, then they go to school learn their dorm mate is Jewish. Does anyone have any idea on what they would have done??

Reminds me how Jon Snow 'dies' in Game of Thrones 😏

"Unlike Jim Hopper (David Harbour) whose fate was left uncertain in season 3 having apparently ‘died’ off-screen, we were all witness to Eddie’s final breaths."

Exactly like we were witness to Max's final breaths. There has been a lot of emphasis on the fact that Max's heart had stopped beating for a minute, and the fact that she truly died because else, the fourth and final gate would never have opened. Max's final breaths are, in fact, paralleled to Eddie's; we are made to believe they died the exact same moment.

While the song playing in the background - When It's Cold I'd Like To Die, not Heroes - is the song that played when Hopper and Joyce found Will in the UD in season 1. Will, who has been dead for a few minutes until Hopper brought him back with CPR.

There have been a few characters which died on screen in ST: Bob, Alexei, Billy, Will, Max and Eddie. The difference between all of them is the extent of their injuries and how it was presented to us, because - and I can't stress this enough - the Duffers love their long, gruesome shots of mutilated bodies. Bob, Billy and Alexei each got one. The ones who didn't were Will and Max, while Eddie is somewhere in-between here because he didn't have that one fatal wound, he wasn't still being eaten by the monsters.

We don't know what happened with his body, but we do know that El and thus Vecna are able to resurrect a dead person within the first few minutes after their death.

And we have a time skip of two whole goddamn days.

Plus a whole assortment of symbolism linking Eddie to the D&D lore of Kas while we all know Vecna is the Mind Flayer so he's able to flay/possess people like an evil puppeteer - and we know two people, Will and Billy - who already managed to break free from his control and Will survived it.

When that video was posted yesterday, I broke down crying because it was so wrong, it felt like a very sick joke on the cost of us who are mourning Eddie's death. But exactly why should they turn it into a sarcastic joke, on top of the fact that this character wasn't even properly mourned or even acknowledge from everyone else but Dustin? The PR could have turned all the footage of that secene and the ones with Dustin in Episode 8 into the most heart-breaking tribute in the history of this show. Nobody ever joked about Barb or Billy or Bob or Alexei.

Either the PR department collectively cannot read a room, or they're teasing us.

The Duffers are telling us that yes, Eddie died.

Well, Max did, too. The glaring rip running through Hawkins is the ultimate proof.

I agree with you.

I don't only have hope, but I actually think this hope is far more realistic than delusional.

What I'd really like to know, though, is why they deleted the video

Do you remember the secene where Harry seals Tao en Elles drawing and then they get into a fight? That scene kinda scared me because it could ended way worse.

Earlier in de series, Elle talks with Tao about Harry and how he was also transphobic. Well, here comes the scary part: What if Harry knew that Elle was the trans girl that left Truman? What if he started dead naming her instead of just making jokes that Elle was Tao's girlfriend? I'm think it's better to not go into detail what my part time pessimistic brain also can think of what for nasty things Harry could have said.

Thank whoever-you-believe-in that Harry most likely didn't remember who Elle was and did less damage then he could.

(I think it also has to do with the fact that is still has to be appropriate for younger audiences.)

Bocchi reference to undertale trailer??

So undertale. All of you must've know about this rpg pixel game that have been released since 2015 with a fandom that might be very radioactive, full of skeleton that's dating another skeleton, and skeleton or any other monster that do what they call "breeding".

This game is entirely different than any other typical rpg game I've ever played, and perhaps yours too. The thing that might be one of the element that could make this game so famous is because of its gameplay system, where you can actually solve a problem in peace and did not have to kill them.

This game also get it's popularity from big youtuber like jacksepticeye, Markiplier, and other big youtuber aswell (even tho at some point toby fox a.k.a the developer of undertale request the youtubers not to make any video about the game and even a bunch of spoiler in it because he want the player to play the game without any knowledge at all).

What make this game is even more impressive that it got more popularity than it should be, and there's only two person that actually make this game, and it's ofcourse, toby fox himself (the coder, planner, composer, etc.) aswell with temmie chang (the artist). They've been making this game for around 2 years or more (I don't know the exact date) and gotta be honest, they really do deserve the popularity they got today (but of course everyone know about that information by now).

Now the sad thing about it is the fandom itself that actually the one who's ruining the game by a bunch of nsfw arts, toxic behavior, and alot of other stuff that change the game perspective for some people because of alternate universe where it's all about fighting the player who does genocide. When in reality it's just one goofy-ahh game with humor, and jokes inspired by earthbound (toby favorite game that inspired him alot).

Now perhaps I've been talking way tooo much about undertale stuff by now (since i might be one of the fan of this game ehem ehem) and I do am sorry for that (not really), but now you all must be asking what kind of reference is exactly that came from undertale? And well it's not really coming from the game itself, but the trailer of the game.

Even though the actual official trailer have been deleted by toby, the deletion were late for bocchi to make an actual reference straight from it... kind of. It's just kind of surprising when I found out that it's actually a straight reference from undertale. And without further ado the reference aree *insert drumroll*

YES! a one second moment from a random shitpost secene! Might be not some "big surprising reference or reveal" but hey, it's still a reference from a indie game.. so that's rare. Especially from a big company making some popular anime for the season, or for full year (maybe), or perhaps a full month atleast. I don't know.

And if it's not a reference from the trailer then I don't know where it came from. Perhaps a original idea that coincidentally the same? Who knows.

Well I don't think I have anything to say except for thank you for reading until this point and conglatz for acknowledging a new random facts about bocchi I guess ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯
