I’ll never understand how Marvel looked at WandaVision’s 9 episode run and said to themselves “aw yes this was well received lets give our other shows only 6 episodes so the plot feels rushed in the second half of the season” ???? MAKE THE SHOWS LONGER. Loki and Moon Knight did well with 6 episodes sure but TFATWS needed more episodes and so did Hawkeye.

I’m sorry but the Gotham Knights gameplay footage we got for Nightwing and Red Hood looks like garbage. Also Jasons character model looks terrible and he’s a magician???? WB Montreal pls give me Jason Todd and not ugly brute John Constantine. Also again the gameplay did not look good. Not nearly as fluid or natural looking as the Arkham games or other superhero games and oh lord majority of the skins look so ugly and not aesthetically pleasing at all.

So I’m replaying Batman Arkham Origins (it’s good and gets far too much hate) and I was just thinking that it got a lot of hate back when it first released because it repurposed a lot of assets from Arkham City (the map plus 1 or 2 story beats) and I’m curious as to why Spider-Man Miles Morales did not receive this hate?? The map is literally exactly the same just with snow and Christmas decorations which is the same thing Arkham Origins did but one difference is that although Origins did reuse the map of Arkham City it also added new sections which Miles Morales didn’t even do. What people don’t realize is that Arkham Origins much like Miles Morales was a filler game to keep the fans busy while they worked on the actual sequel (i.e Arkham Knight and Spider-Man 2) And for the limited resources and time they had to complete Arkham Origins they did a pretty good job.

I’m sorry but the TASM movies were objectively less than good. If you liked them that’s ok but pretending like they were gods gift is stupid. The Andrew Garfield Spider-Man we got in NWH was NOT written by the same writers as TASM which is why he was better and more fans are more receptive too him now. You can’t call them fake fans when the original writing was pretty bad. Now I’m not saying Andrew Garfield was a bad actor because he never was it was purely the writing. Even though the writing was bad I do wish they completed the TASM trilogy and I fully support reviving it.

So here are my thoughts on Hawkeye season 1. SPOILER WARNING.

I’m not going to type some long, wordy review I’m just going to give some bullet points and I’m going to expand a little bit on a couple of them.

Pros:

• good action

• good characters (i.e kingpin, echo, yelena, kate, etc.)

• hawkeye’s new suit

• a fairly decent adaptation of the 2012 series

• fun christmas time show

Cons:

• weakest story of the disney plus series’s so far

It didn’t feel very full and definitely could have benefited from a couple more episodes. They never explain why the tracksuits were after the rolex at all. Also the reveal of the watch being laura barton’s fell flat for me because aside from a couple of cameo’s we know almost nothing about this character or her significance in context to the mcu.

• kingpin was under utilized

for the main villain of the series he didn’t feel like much of a threat when it came to the final episode. Vincent D’onofrio had done some great things in this role and Marvel seriously did not play to these strengths. He needed more screen time and hopefully we’ll get that in echo.

• the score

It was fun christmas music which makes sense because of the setting but I felt that sometimes it didn’t match the tone of the scene and it wasn’t especially fantastic. It felt like something I’d hear while grocery shopping.

• end credit scene

I don’t have a problem with the mid credit scene being the musical number from rogers the musical but I am very disappointed that that’s all we got. I thought maybe we’d get to see Val again since she was the one who actually gave Yelena the job to kill Clint.

The show as a whole is fun to watch and is definitely rewatchable but it feels very inconsequential compared to most mcu projects.

6/10 will probably watch it again next year cause ✨christmas✨

ok so as mentioned above I’m talking about a spoiler. Specifically the ending and I’m going to keep it brief and not talk about the whole movie.

So after Strange casts the spell to make everyone forget about Peter we see Peter and Happy at May’s grave and Happy mentions he knew her through Spider-Man?? If no one remembers Peter why would May be connected to Spider-Man? Also does this mean Spider-Man and Happy still have a relationship together just that Happy doesn’t know his Identity? Cause Peter could totally swing up to Happy as Spider-Man and unmask himself and be like “hey we’ve known each other for a while so I thought I’d let you know who I am.” and boom Peter has fixed one of his past relationships.

Ik this is supposed to be sort of a soft reboot for Spider-man and that he’s trying to protect the people close to him so this won’t happen and I’m not even saying I want it to but it was just I thought I had in the back of my head.
