In case it seems like every third comic has Batman in it... you're not wrong. He's been in 38.6% of DC issues since 2020, with a stark increase of 8% each decade since the 90s and surpassing Superman in popularity. Despite this, there's been a massive drop off of comics where he is teamed up with Superman or a Robin (although the amount of group team ups between Batman Family members has increased, as well as Nightwing solos).
"Speedsters are boring, they're useless they just run fast."
Wrong!
Jay Garrick can make sonic bombs by just hitting his helmet at the right frequency. Barry Allen can disassemble and reassemble himself molecule by molecule at will. Wally West can freeze a person in time by removing their potential kinetic energy. Bart Allen can trap entities between molecules. Eobard Thawne can age someone to dust with a touch. Literally any of them can throw a grain of sand with enough force to go through any armor you care to imagine. Speedster abilities are not only endlessly creative, they're horrifyingly OP.
I'm doing a series of "Best Character Named X" polls where all the characters have the same first name but are from completely different media, feel free to send in name/charcacter suggestions, I'm posting one poll a day, check my pinned post for active polls
When Danny decided to move to Central City, he wasn't sure what he was expecting. He just knew he wanted to move somewhere he could be useful.
He had been a vigilante for so long, he wanted to help people a different way. Working at the morgue was a way he could help souls find rest.
Plus, the forensic scientist (chemist?) he got to interact with sometimes was a nice benefit. Now, if he can just figure a way to ask him out and eventually tell him he's technically dead, he'd be set.
beyond thrilled to have gotten to draw these for @littlewingtakeflight ! it was a joy to make and I’m so excited to have been entrusted with such a fun concept!
Funny how every DC team could fight anyone for the sake of their Speedsters but they very easily forget that Speedsters can DESTROY THE UNIVERSE with a jog
Do you think speedsters could keep themselves in real time by listening to music? Because if they’re speeding the music will sound slower? I just had that thought listening to a bart playlist and I think it’s a cool concept. Especially like if Bart used the technique at school and it just added to his issues with teachers. I could totally see his teachers getting super pissed at him for listening to music in class but it keeps him from slipping into speedtime so he’s more present and aware. (I’m not projecting haha I swear! Music totally doesn’t ground me and I’ve totally never been yelled at for listening to it in class haha)
redrawing some of my favs to battle my sadness caused by yj:t seems to be counterproductive, but fuck it i just want more emotions for wally's funeral TToTT
dick's apperance literally broke my heart, cause it only just fucking hit him full force. his best friend is gone. and all those pent up emotions come flooding out
artemis' made me so sad, because she looks so lost and afraid, and I bet she spent most of her time from Antartica up to funeral in a daze
barry literally can't look at the grave, he seeks comfort in iris and im QnQ
bart doesnt cry, because he is no stranger to loosing people he cares about, but he is sad and so tired of it
perdita's words about kid flash/wally being something of a security blanket grabbed me by a throat and won't let go, because with him gone how scared and vulnerable and sad must she feel???

Hal and Barry have such great besties dynamics in this comic (and basically everywhere else)
have a very adorable comfy camping Barry everyone.
My hc on this is that the earth GLs and the flashfam are like two families that are family friends with each other. All these GL-flash pairs have great character dynamics I love every one of them sm asdjhlsfkhajskfhasdsss
next time maybe I can make an edit of faster friends to show some kyle wally dynamics
Bart doesn't seem to have his own lantern yet but maybe he's just the family's baby
Flash: We’re playing Scrabble. It’s a nightmare.
Wonderwoman: Scrabble? Scrabble’s great.
Flash: Not when you’re playing with Batman, it’s not. He put words like “ephemeral” and I put “dog.”
