#a crossover I didn’t expect but I’m here for it~

You ever seen a crossover fanfic between two games you've never played, but you know enough about the source material(s) for the fic's premise to fascinate you?
I was browsing the Dead Space tag one day and stumbled across a fic that @constant-mason24 posted, where Connor from Detroit Become Human joins Isaac Clarke and the Kellion crew, for their repair mission aboard the USG Ishimura. It only has one chapter so far, but the brainworm infestation is strong.
What can I say? I like imagining Connor in a steampunk spacesuit. And him being newly deviated on the Ishimura, figuring out what it means to be alive as monsters try to tear him and his crewmates to shreds.
Also thank you to the lovely @prismatic-cannon for taking my commissions, and creating these pieces for me! I adored their DBH fanart back when I was lurking in that fandom, and I enjoyed working with them for this~

Eyes
Dp x Dc Crossover Writing Idea
“Red Robin!”
When he backtracked to find the owner of the voice he was a bit surprised to find a young boy, maybe eight years old if he had to guess, dressed in a red sweatshirt that dwarfed him and a pair of gym shorts that had seen better days.
Not many Gothamites called out to the vigilantes, a silent agreement to stay out of their way and not to look too closely. This kid however stared up at him with bright blue eyes unafraid of getting the Red Robin’s attention.
A fan?
Before he even opens his mouth, the kid gives him a small, hopeful smile, eyes shining with something that reminds him of himself when he was that age and following Batman and Robin with his camera around his tiny neck.
“I brought you a gift,” the boy say with nervous excitement. He enthusiastically swings off the backpack he had on to dig through the contents, taking his eyes off the vigilante and showing his unwavering trust that nothing bad would happen to him while Red Robin was here.
The boy pulls out what appears to be a jar wrapped in newspaper, the worn page ripping in some spots to show the clear glass underneath. Small hands present it like it’s Red Robin’s birthday (which it wasn’t).
He takes it cautiously, the kid hasn’t been hostile but this was still weird, and pulls it closer with enough space so if it’s a bomb it doesn’t blow up in his face.
It’s got weight to it and the slight sloshing tells him it’s filled with liquid. He carefully unwraps the ‘gift’, keeping his eye on the boy who stands waiting anxiously.
Tim almost drops the jar as soon as he sees what’s inside. Only his reflexes from over the years held on and his expression turned neutral.
A pair of eyes sit at the bottom of the jar. The orbs were crudely extracted, tissue floating around them like a mane of hair around a head.
He turns the jar to see the irises and… he knew these eyes. The slimy green is filmed with death, but he recognized these eyes from the number of times the owner locked them onto him, the cruel possessiveness they possessed when they gazed at him. Never again apparently.
Tim doesn’t speak for a while, not knowing what to say, but also thoughts racing too fast to form any proper sentences.
“Do you like it?” The small, nervous voice interrupts those thoughts.
What an innocent question on an equally innocent looking face.
“How did you get Ra’s Al Ghul’s eyes?”
The teasing chatter over the comms immediately hushes into shocked silence.
“I took them from his body, so you knew he was dead. I burned the rest so you don’t have to worry about him coming back again. The Pit there is gone anyway,” the child explains easily, not fazed in the slightest from the words he speaks.
“Grandfather is dead?” He hears Damian whisper over the comm.
So many other questions were flying through Tim’s head. He looks the kid over again.
Black hair and blue eyes. In any other situation the kid might have been a possible Wayne adoptee. He’s not a clone from what he can see though. Despite the coloring he doesn’t really look like any of them. Pale skin like Tim, but has freckles. The same kind of nose as Damian, but wide, round eyes. Jaw kind of like Jason, but his body shape is too narrow. Bright, almost icy blue eyes like Dick, but eyebrow shape is flatter. Lip shape like Bruce, but from the kid’s anxious lip biting he could see the faintest trace of dimples.
“Who are you?” He asks instead of the other million and one questions.
The boy blinks almost like he wasn’t expecting the question. He’s cheeks color pink with blush as he grins widely.
“I’m Danny!” He introduces cheerfully like he didn’t just hand a vigilante a jar of eyes.
“Hi, Danny,” Tim greets almost dumbly. “Want to tell me why you gave me this?”
Danny scoffs his shoe against the pavement in what appears to be embarrassment.
“Well, I know when you ask someone for something, it’s nice to give a gift or something. Like I did something nice for you so maybe you’ll do something nice for me?”
He takes a moment to absorb that child-like reasoning.
“So you want me to do something for you and you thought I would like Ra’s Al Ghul’s eyes in exchange?”
Danny studies him and fidgets with the large sweatshirt sleeve.
“I just thought you would like proof. Like the whole ‘bring me the heart of my enemy’ kind of thing. Do you not like it? I couldn’t just take a picture ‘cuz I didn’t have a camera with me, I know you like photography. I can do something else for you if it’s not enough,” he offers worriedly.
Tim freezes.
“How do you know I like photography?” He demands.
Danny tilts his head curiously.
“Because Tim Drake likes photography,” he says like it’s obvious, “and you’re Tim Drake.”
Well. This is less than ideal.
“Red Robin, take him back to the Cave,” Batman instructs over the comms.
Yeah, he was getting there.
“Do you know the other’s’ identities?”
Danny nods and hums affirmatively. Tim waits.
“Oh! Yea. Batman is Bruce Wayne. Robin is Damian Wayne. Red Hood is Jason Todd. Nightwing is Richard Grey-“
“Okay. That’s enough.”
Tim glances around the empty alley they were standing in, checking to make sure no stray people heard. Luckily they were truly alone.
“Danny, do you want to come back with me?” He asks, but it’s not really a question. The kid was coming back regardless, it would just be better if he went willingly.
Unsurprisingly, the kid lights up like a little sun at the offer.
“Really?” He nearly shouts in excitement.
“Yeah, kid. I parked my bike a few blocks from here. You ever rode a motorcycle before?”
Danny shakes his head, nearly bounding on his toes.
“Not in this lifetime.” And wasn’t that odd wording? “Are we gonna grapple there?”
“Think you can hold on?”
“Yeah!”
He kneels down so the boy can climb onto his back and lock his arms around his neck and hook his feet together around his torso. Danny is worryingly light as he stands.
The kid is the picture of an excited and overeager child as they carefully fly over rooftops and then drive back to the Cave. Even when they park inside the safety of the Batcave, Danny’s eyes are filled with child-like awe and wonder, so curious and chattering with questions and wild imagination. It would be cute, endearing even, if the jar of eyes wasn’t sitting heavily in his pocket.
Alfred came down not too long after their arrival with a tray of healthy snacks and some waters. Danny happily munches on the apple slices as he wanders around where Tim can see him.
The rumble of the Batmobile can be heard almost an hour later after Tim has to tell Danny not to touch the weapons for the fourth time. The kid’s attention is drawn to the sleek black vehicle as it parks by Tim’s bike. He trots over with wide eyes as the doors open and Robin exits, then Batman.
Unfortunately, Dick is in Bludhaven and Jason is visiting Roy and Lian this week. Cass and Steph were gone as well and Duke was sleeping. It was just the three of them and this kid with Alfred as the only buffer.
Danny stares openly, curious, as the duo makes their way over to the computer where Tim has claimed his sit.
Tim turns the jar that he set on the table so the eyes are facing them and slowly leans back again, suddenly very tired. Damian flexes his hands into fists tightly while Batman is very still.
“Hi,” Danny chirps like nothing is wrong, oblivious to the tension in the air.
Batman takes a measured breath. Robin glares down at the child, but remains silent for now.
“Who killed Ra’s Al Ghul?”
Danny blinks blankly.
“Nobody.”
“You’re saying he just dropped dead?” Damian sneered in sarcasm.
“Death took him,” the child says simply as if that explained everything.
“How?” The word is demanded and emphasized.
“Like Death takes everyone. His expiration was overdue.”
Bruce frowns and Damian almost snarls.
“I demand you start making sense!”
Danny glares back in offense.
“I’m being very clear! Maybe you should ask better questions!”
The twelve year old growls at the smaller child and Batman has to place a firm hand on his shoulder to keep him from attacking.
“Danny?” Batman questions after a tense moment.
The boy’s arms are crossed in irritation, but he blinks out of his glare to stare up at the man.
“Yea?”
“How do you know our identities?”
“Oh, memories.”
Danny looked like everything he said made sense and it was driving Tim up a wall.
“Memories,” Bruce repeats.
“Uh-huh,” Danny nods confidently. “From the Lazarus Pit.”
A jolt goes through Tim as he recalls what the boy said earlier about the Pit.
“Didn’t you say the Pit was gone?” He asks before Bruce could continue his line of questioning.
Danny turns with a bright smile as if he was proud Tim remembered.
“Yea! Well, gone from this world anyway.” Tim was concerned. “I took the memories from it before sending it back where it belongs.”
“Okay. How did you know how to ‘take the memories’ and send it back? Back where?”
“I was born from it. Duh. It went back to the Realms or I guess you’d call it the Afterlife,” Danny actually rolls his eyes as if they should already know this.
“Born from it?” Damian asks with a wavering voice, hidden well from the child but not from them. “Nothing has ever been born from the Pits.”
“That you know of.”
And wasn’t that the kicker.
“So, to clarify, you come from the Pits. You know who we are because you took the memories from said Pits. Death took Ra’s because his time was up. And you took the eyes from his corpse to give to me because you thought I would like it as a gift so I would do something for you.”
Danny positively beams.
“This is why you’re my favorite!”
Damian grinds his teeth harshly.
“What is it you want Red Robin to do for you?” Batman asks in strangled hesitation.
“Oh!” Danny perks up like he remembered and hops over to Tim with pleading hands. “Can you please make me an identity? You’re really good at all that stuff and I was hoping you could find me a family. Someone to adopt me. A nice family, with a bed and family dinners and a dog. I always wanted a dog.”
Tim has the sudden urge to scream.

TENDER LIKE A BRUISE ─── ethan landry 𖦹
ೃ⁀➷ “A lover? Maybe. Something tender, anyway. But tender like a bruise.” — ‘The Winner’s Kiss’, Marie Rutkoski
Tumblr media
pairing. spiderman!ethan landry x reader
warnings. swearing, mention of blood + death, mildly suggestive
summary. its late at night when you get a knock at your window. first, its a familiar mask, then a really, really familiar face. (1) (2) (3) (4)
a/n.  i honestly just wanted an excuse to write about patching up this lovable dork. this is also the weirdest crossover ive ever made but hey! if the shoe fits, the shoe fits (ethan landry is 110% spiderman nerd coded). an early warning: this is sooo all over the place. i fr do not know where this is going or if i should make a part 2
Tumblr media
i.
You’re staring at your monitor, half-asleep and half-wishing your econ class got a bomb threat so you didn’t have to get assigned homework, when you hear a knock at your window.
It was four-am on a Thursday in the middle of March, so you were expecting a knock. It was probably Quinn, or maybe even Tara, knocking on your window to get into the flat because they lost their keys somewhere at the frat party and didn’t want to alarm Sam.
Having the room with the fire-escape window was a blessing and a curse. For one, the view was beautiful, and you could sneak out without any of your roommates knowing. On the other hand, however, any stranded friends of yours snuck back in through your window.
Well, whatever. You slammed your laptop shut on your desk, and walked to your window. In the journey, however, you paused.
The crime rate in New York had gone up terribly recently, and you had remembered that case just a few weeks ago about a man who broke in through a fire escape window…
You weighed your options: open the window, oh it’s just Annika, shoo her out of your room, continue Econ homework. Open the window, oh it’s a murderer! Die, don’t finish Econ homework.
You opened the window.
Then: “Spiderman?!” You all but screamed, taking a hesitant step back.
It was Spiderman, the guy in the spiderman suit, New York’s “friendly neighborhood Spiderman”, the hero who fought crime in Brooklynn and swung around Times Square, that Spiderman.
And he was here. On your fire escape, awkwardly shuffling (which reminded you of a certain dork who was at that Halloween frat party right about now), hands behind his back.
“Spiderman? What the— fuck, are you—?” You repeated, and you could practically hear his stumbling thoughts as he gestured incoherently to himself, arms flailing about.
“Hi?” He settled on, then groaned, lifting himself into your bedroom. You took another step back, tentatively eyeing the little league baseball bat you had in the corner of your bedroom, a keepsake from home.
Once more, the thoughts of those recent window-entry break-ins flashed in your head, and even though it was Spiderman, what if it wasn’t? What if it was just some weirdo freak in the costume, about to use your trust of the hero to their advantage?
Spiderman, solemnly, seemed to notice this hesitation in you. “I’m not— I’m not going to hurt you, I just…” Spiderman sighed, and then all at once and far too fast, he pulled his mask clean off.
Suddenly, a familiar head of curls were splayed out on an equally as familiar brown-eyed face.
“Landry?” You said in the same tone as before, except this time it was Ethan Landry, Quinn’s awkward, younger-by-3-minutes brother, who ended up rooming with Chad, your own friend from highschool, after Quinn moved in with you.
Your only conversation had been nods in Econ, handing him a drink at a party, asking if he’d seen Quinn, him asking if you’d seen Chad, and now… whatever this was.
“This” was Ethan Landry in the Spiderman suit — because he was Spiderman(!!!!), the biggest mind-fuck you’d had since you found out Sam’s bio-dad was a weirdo murdering loser rotting in jail with his oddly homoerotic, equally as murderous, bestfriend — politely closing your window and dusting himself off so as to not get your room dirty.
This was not the shock you were hoping for right before midterms.
Then, you saw how pale-faced and sweaty Landry was, a red-and-blue gloved hand pressed against his abdomen, slowly hunching further.
“Sorry— I,” He sucked in a deep breath, letting it out between his teeth, “I got cut, and I— your apartment was closer than Chad and I’s place, and I also couldn’t go there, because I lost my keys while I was swinging—“
“Hold on— Landry! Back up a moment!” You protested, interrupting his anxious rambling. “Let’s get you patched up first, okay? I won’t accept any of your answers until then.”
Quickly, you wrapped an arm around him, helping him limp over to your small, crowded apartment bathroom.
You situated the 6'0 giant you’d only referred to as “Landry” for the better half of the past six months onto the toilet, then rummaged through your bathroom closet, searching for the first-aid kit Quinn had used on her latest hook-up just last week after he bonked his head on her bed frame.
(That was hilarious and disgusting, having to sew stitches onto one of her hookups while she wore a police costume and him a bright prison suit. You were not going to pry, but crudely speaking, it was a shock to find out Quinn was… kinky.)
When you finally got it, you turned, having expected Landry to have pulled the top half of his suit off. Instead, he sat, head leaning against the tiled bathroom walls, cloaked hand still pressed firm against his wound.
“That thing’s got a zipper on it, doesn’t it?” You said, taking a peek at the backside of Landry’s suit.
He nodded.
“So?” You said, expectantly placing your hands on your hips. But Landry stayed still, as if something was holding him back.
“By gods, Landry, are you embarrassed?” You said, aghast. By the looks of his increasingly red face, you were right.
Extremely affronted at his ill-timed shyness, you swiftly found the zipper to his Spiderman suit and helped the boy peel off the top half.
“Jesus, Ethan, you’re practically bleeding to death. Stop being so shy, I can handle you of all people.” You whispered to him as you did so, and he let out a shaky breath.
(Not because of the wound, but rather how close you were, his real name on your whispering lips as you almost graced the side of his face, your hands undressing him. He felt like he was on fire.
Fuck, Ethan thought, then, immediately after, shook himself mentally of such thoughts.)
Then, with several beads of sweat dripping from Ethan’s forehead, a low groan coming from him, you saw just how bad his wound was.
It was a messy, leaking gash on the left of his lower stomach, blood staining his thin skin. Landry seemed entirely focussed on the pain, eyes squinted and body wincing with every labored breath.
So, you moved swiftly, opening up your bottle of rubbing alcohol and throwing the cap behind you, informing Ethan it was going to “hurt like the time Sam punched you square in the nose because she thought you were hooking up with Tara” (to be fair, that did hurt a lot — Ethan cried a little, after it, and you had to silently hand him tissues) before dousing his wound in the solution.
Ethan’s back immediately arched in pain, head thrown back, and you could hear him bite back a soft whimper. His now-bare hands grabbed at the closest thing he could — your sweater sleeve, which was apparently at the perfect height for his incredibly lanky, though shockingly well-built, arms to hold — squeezing down in pain.
“I’m sorry, truly,” you whispered, on your knees in front of him, as he was far too tall to perform this stitching up without doing so.
(You continued by knotting your needle and thread, ignoring the odd predicament you had found yourself in, on your knees in a cramped bathroom, so close you could feel Ethan’s warm breath on your neck. You swallowed, head fuzzy, then blinked rapidly, trying to get your thoughts back on track.)
If that had bothered him, you were more than worried at how he’d react to your poor stitching ability. You’d only ever fixed up a hole in your shirt, so any sewing knowledge you knew, you were going to apply to Ethan’s skin now.
“I’m gonna stitch it up now, okay?” You said, in a soft, dulcet tone, considering the pain he was going through.
Ethan nodded vehemently, probably more so interested in getting it all over with.
You made quick work of the operation, sewing his skin together, back and forth, back and forth. Your concentration drowned out any and all of your thoughts, except for a stuttered keen or bitten curse word from Ethan every now and then, that effectively shattered the mental wall you’d been building.
Finally, you unraveled the white roll of bandages sitting on the counter, and wrapped a thick dressing around his abdomen, crossing over his left shoulder to give it some stability.
(Your elbows had been propped up on either side of Ethan’s thighs, and you were so carefully focussed on wrapping his gash correctly that you hadn’t realized how close you were to his… well, him.
Ethan had, however, and gulped at how suggestive his view was, looking down and just seeing the crown of your head over his lap. So Ethan looked away, squeezing his eyes shut and desperately focussed on keeping something down.)
Finally, you finished, rubbed your sweaty palms on your thighs, and looked up at Ethan, who was leaning back, head on the wall. Your cheeks dusted pink, seeing how he stared at you through his long, brown lashes, slowly blinking, lips parted.
You coughed, looking away from the boy, and got up. “You okay to stand?”
Ethan blinked, then nodded, heaving himself up from the toilet seat. He limped across the hall to your bedroom, then sat on the chair sitting by your desk.
“You should sleep here tonight. I don’t think your sister will ever forgive me if I let you go to bed alone with a knife-wound.” You flashed him a smile. “But first: what the hell was that?”
Ethan bit his lip. “Surprise?”
You gave Ethan a look, settling on your bed across from him. “I thought you were at that halloween party, with Chad and Quinn?”
“Okay, fine. I was at that party, but I… kinda sort of stole a police’s walkie talkie, like, two years ago and I’ve been using it since to hear about any crime going on. There was a 10-31 — an active burglary,” he said, noting your confused face, “at a local bodega, so I told everyone I was going home, and left. They’d run into an alley by the time I got there, so I followed them, and things got a little… messy.”
You nodded, following the story carefully. “And when did… all of this start?” You gestured to him in the half done up Spiderman suit.
“Well,” Ethan averted your gaze, “When I was seventeen, I went with my dad to a crime scene during a stupid Bring-Your-Kid-to-work-day activity. The place was a real hole-in-the-wall illegal animal testing lab, and I was being dumb, touching things I shouldn’t have, geeking out over whatever latest smuggled in Oscorp tech they had blown up, when a spider bit me in the neck. After peeking through the case files, I found out it was a radioactive spider. The next few days after that I got sick, then got better, and one day after that I woke up and I could do crazy shit like climb my bedroom walls.”
You blinked, digesting the large threshold of information. Just as you were about to ask another question, Ethan let out a large, teary eyed yawn.
All at once he seemed so much more tired than you thought he’d been, all the pain he’d experienced showing clearly on his delicate features.
Your brows knit together. “…Okay, I think it's time you change out of those clothes, I order food, then you go to bed.”
Ethan agreed numbly, hunching over on the chair he was sitting on. Quickly, you began digging through your closet for clothes that might fit his muscular frame — a feature that surprised you as much as finding out he was Spiderman, considering you thought him to be a skinny and lanky tree.
After a moment, you pulled out two pieces. “It’s all I had that would fit you,” you said quietly, handing him a pair of pink Hello-Kitty pajama pants you bought in the wrong size, and a “I Survived My Trip To NYC” shirt Mindy gave you back in highschool. “Sorry.”
“No, I—“ Ethan fumbled awkwardly, taking the clothes from you, ears tinged red, “thanks. For everything.” He settled on, looking from his hands to your face.
You peered up at him, analyzing the boy-hero. His deep brown eyes, the freckles that danced across his cheeks, how his lips pursed, watching you look at him.
The air between the both of you had suddenly turned static, and you were so much more aware of how flush you were against one another.
Ethan’s gaze flitted from your eyes to your lips, trailing across your face almost unbearably slow.
But then you blinked, sobered, and stepped away from him. “I’m— gonna,” you caught your breath, “I’ll let you change.”
You quickly exited, leaving Ethan in the room alone.
(Ethan’s face burned, terribly red while he felt feverish just by the slight touch of your fingers on his own. How you had stared at him, your eyes coursing over his entire being—
There had been something there, but Ethan could not find it in himself to pry.)

Takeaways from the Volume 9 Epilogue:
--
One thing I really like about Oscar’s ‘If there was anything I wish I could borrow from you…’ monologue is that it laid out/confirmed something I’ve always felt was a major aspect of Oscar’s dynamic with Ruby that I nonetheless feel a lot of the fandom has missed: That Oscar very much sees Ruby as a mentor and an example to follow, and how their dynamic is specifically a foil to what we saw between Ruby and Ozpin. That Ruby acts as a mentor and example to Oscar in the same way Ozpin was to Ruby, and that Ruby is a far BETTER mentor and example to Oscar than Ozpin ever was to her. Which, as an aside, is a dynamic I can’t help but feel a lot of people have been misinterpreting as ‘ship-teasing’ and is one of the main reasons I’ve simply never been able to see Oscar as any kind of viable love-interest to Ruby. Frankly the dynamic of ‘Ruby is the mentor and example to Oscar that Ozpin couldn’t be for her’ is simply so much more INTERESTING than any kind of romance could ever hope to be.
--
Even in animatic form, Winter basically going overdrive on the maiden powers was a sight to behold. And her own monologue had all the self-deprecation we were expecting. Our girl is clearly holding on by a thread and it’s going to be REAL interesting seeing how she reacts and adjusts to her sister not actually being dead. As in, I can imagine a situation where Winter tries to throw herself into a heroic sacrifice with the belief that Weiss would make a better Maiden than her.
Also, Winter’s monologue giving major focus to how Penny is super-super-dead-dead-and-definitely-not-coming-back-for-really-realsies, as she is talking to the sister who she ALSO believes is DEFINITELY also dead? Specifically with the words that Penny is gone, when Penny’s last words to her were that she’d be ‘part of you’?
Yeah, there is no way in hell we’ve seen the last of Penny XD
--
The CROWN. Like it was only a few shots, but as someone who read the CFVY Books (which you totally should if you haven’t, they’re great), holy shit I was NOT expecting them to pop up here.
I mean, in hindsight it makes perfect sense that they’d be involved in Volume 10. They’re basically Vacuo’s equivalent to Vale’s criminal element and the White Fang splinter faction as Salem’s co-opted insurgency group, with Jax and Gillian joining Roman, Adam and Jacques as the latest of Salem’s unwitting patsies. It’s definitely going to be real interesting seeing the crew deal with them. Like it’s really fun to imagine Team RWBY in particular being kind of exasperated at seeing Jax’s probably doing a whole ‘With Salem’s help I shall be King!’ shtick after everything they’ve seen with Roman, Adam and Jacques.
Oh and if you don’t know, Jax has a mind-control semblance, so him trying to use that on Yang could actually lead to a sneaky callback to the Justice League crossover, ie; Yang doing a ‘Yeah, I’m not doing THAT shit again.’ XD
--
Qrow’s whole vibe through this is fascinating. Like his section may have been the one we already saw, but after seeing the abject depression and growing despair of all the other characters, Qrow actually being OPTIMISTIC hit so much harder.
--
Raven showing up at the end is… interesting.
I’ll admit that ever since we saw that specific clip a few months back, I’ve been rather conflicts about Raven showing up to deliver RWBY+J to Vacuo, particularly after Ruby’s tree vision. Like for one it felt a bit random and unnecessary. The tree already deposited the Ever After team outside of Vacuo so they didn’t exactly need help getting there. Not to mention that it kind of clotheslines the story-thread set up by Ruby’s vision; that she now has a reason to track Raven down to get the ANSWERS to what happened to Summer. Finally, it’s just kind of… random? Like where did Raven even come from to get the team?
But now having seen the clip with its intended context, I’m definitely more on board with it. Particularly hearing from Kerry and Eddy that the original ending for the penultimate episode had RWBY+J going through the portal to arrive at their memorial stone, and met by a ‘Mysterious Figure’, ie; Raven. Here it feels like were getting more set up to get answers later as to what Raven was doing at the memorial.
And really, now that I’ve thought about it more, this method kind of puts the thread of Ruby going to Raven for answers even MORE into focus. Like the story reintroduces Raven in the present right after Ruby got a vision basically saying ‘hey, Raven is important’. And now going into Volume 10, we’re pretty much perfectly positioned for Ruby to pull Raven aside for those all-important ‘Why were you fucking my mom? What happened to my mom?’ questions.
--
Finally… yeah that ending hit me a LOT harder than I was expecting. Like that ending was HOPE in its purest form and it was honestly beautiful to see. Particularly right now with the future of the show seeming so uncertain. I’ve personally been optimistic about RWBY’s future (in a manner not unlike Qrow’s vibes I suppose lol), but damn the hopefulness of that ending hit especially hard, and was something I’ll admit I needed. And I imagine the rest of us could use as well.
We'll be getting Volume 10. And 11, and 12, and however many more it takes to finish this story. At this point, I have no doubt of that.

I didn’t realize how much people liked the Clark Kent Smallville X Wednesday Crossover. So I have to do a Part 2! Where you can read here!
Tumblr media
The God Among Men, Part 2
(Y/n) and Wednesday continue to stare at each other. (Y/n)’s concentration breaks and he plummets from the sky to a loud bang on the ground, Wednesday quickly puts her string down and rushes to the balcony’s edge to see his fate. She peers over the railing and was surprised to see (Y/n) sitting up, rubbing his back.
“Ow..” he said, a fall that height should cause serious damage to the body but it looks like it did nothing to him. (Y/n) realizes just how bad this looks, his attention turns upward to Wednesday.
“Umm, Sorry!” He yells, before standing up to run away out of embarrassment. He hoped that this would be a singular mishap and leave it at that, unfortunately this is Wednesday Addams, and nothing is singular with her. (Y/n) unfortunately shared a chemistry class together so avoiding her was useless. The next morning was more than awkward, he kept his eyes locked on Miss Thornhill to avoid Wednesdays side eye. When class ends almost like a blur he’s already trying to get to the quad to lose Wednesday, getting round a corner he breathed a sigh of relief. Until Wednesday comes almost out of nowhere and pins him to the wall. Granted he towers over her at 5’11, her 5’1 absolutely intimidating stature wasn’t something the Kansas boy was used to.
“So, we have a peeping Tom in our midsts.” She keeps that cold, deathstare.
“No! I’m sorry I didn’t mean to, I was just listening to your music and I, got too close..” he sheepishly keeps his eyes from locking on hers.
“They’d expel you for what you’ve done, but.. I’ll consider looking the other way..” she said, his eyes slowly locked with hers. “For your undying service..”
“Undying Service? That, seems a bit extreme doesn’t it? Why not something more, mild?” He asks awkwardly.
“I don’t do mild. Either take my offer or be shipped away to a juvenile prison.”
“.. okay, fine.” He relents, Wednesday wasn’t your typical mean girl, she wasn’t mean she was, cold, Unnerving, probably dead too. But she knew how to use people to her advantage, no matter how pure hearted they are. “What do you want me to do?” (Y/n) asks, Wednesday steps back, letting him have his own personal space finally.
“Nothing. Yet. But I will call upon you, one day… it’s in your best interest to not forget our arrangement.” She gives one last threat before leaving like a shadow, (Y/n) let’s put a sigh, hoping that this will be quickly put to an end. Little did he know it was very, far from over.
“Why am I doing this?” (Y/n) walks though the cemetery with Wednesday, who’s ignoring his crying and whining.
“Because you swore an oath of Fealty.”
“No, no I didn’t.” He replies, “I’m being blackmailed.
“Same thing.” She retorts. They stop at a large tomb, “this, open it.” She said. (Y/n) looks at her.
“That’s it?”
“I can come up with more for you to do..” Wednesday ponders
“No no this is fine, I just expected, more.”
“More? It’s an ancient Crackstone tomb sealed for hundreds of years. I had to recruit someone who decipher the password to open it.” She says, (Y/n) simply turns his head to the door and concentrates, she watches red gleam from his eyes. She was stunned by the beam of intense heat that cut though the stone wall, he creates a shape hole and it begins to collapse. She steps back to avoid being crushed, (Y/n) so calmly lifted his hand, it hits his palm and didn’t move an inch, Wednesday watches in shock as he casually tosses the door to the side.
“So, we keep going?” He asks Her, Wednesday didn’t know what to say.
“Y-yes, let’s.” She said and walked into the Tomb, the cold decrepit place smelled of death. A lingering smirk crept along her face. (Y/n) felt the stench of death and he follows the girl around. Staring at the spot on the back of her head.
“So, what are you here for?” He asks her; who begins to look around the tomb.
“Do you remember Rowan?”
“The guy you said was murdered and who randomly appeared fine the next day?” He replies sarcastically. Wednesday morning chores his quip and searches the interior for any inscribing.
“Point is, It’s my belief that Rowan was killed, and the one you saw was a fake, someone meant to keep up appearances. It would be tragic to hear that a student was murdered here. Bad press and all that.” Wednesday explains, (Y/n) rubs his chin.
“Well when I used my X-ray vision, everything seemed fine with him.”
“X-ray Vision?” Wednesday Asks.
“Yeah, let’s me see though walls, rocks, inside the human body, no lead though.” He adds in.
“So it allows you to see though clothes as well.”
“Uh, Yeah?” He replies, and quickly makes the assessment of what Wednesday was thinking. “I didn’t use it on you. I promise.” He said, Wednesday stares daggers into his eyes and sees he’s genuine about it, and drops the conversation.
“Point is, I had a, vision.. Crackstone putting innocent lives to the stake. Nevermore lives, like you and I.” Wednesday looks over to multiple inscriptions over the tomb.
“So my theory lead to the serial killer and the knee covering up the murders. They aren’t working together, but they’re covering up third killings to avoid more scrutiny from the public.” She explains, reading a tombstone.
“So, they’re letting this killer get away because they don’t want the public to freak out?”
“So to speak, from what the Principal tried to infer to me, it’s all ridiculous And self serving for Jericho.”
“… You’re right.” He said, Wednesday wasn’t used to hearing someone actually agree with her.
“It’s wrong, covering up the truth to make life easier, just makes the people who know it hate it even more.” (Y/n) walks over to Wednesday, their height difference was profound as she had to almost look up to him.
“If you’re searching for the truth. I want to help, I’m not as smart as you I’ll admit but I’ll do my best.” He says, Wednesday, even if she didn’t act like it, appreciated the gesture. The two exit the tomb and Wednesday dusts herself off.
“As much as I enjoy the decrepit and cold ambiance, I hate getting my clothes with cobwebs.
“I could blow it off for you.”
“If your breath could freeze me to death like you said, I’d rather not.” She says, (Y/n) checks his watch.
“It’s nearing 3, we’ll be late for class.” (Y/n)
“And Weems would have my head for being late.” Wednesday said, grumbling. (Y/n) offers his hand, Wednesday looks at it and then back up to him.
“Absolutely not.”
“Why not?”
“I despise human contact, especially yours.”
“Wednesday, if we want to find this Killer we have to stay in Weems Good graces, so put your big girl Stockings on and take my hand!” He said with much more serious flare. Wednesday reluctantly sighs.
“Fine, just do what’s necessary—“ Before she could properly warn him, he swept her off her feet like the Prince Charming he is, and leaped, flying into the air. The sudden shift in air and temperature caught Wednesday off guard, she looked down, seeing the cemetery and the entire Nevermore grounds before her.
Height was always something she never truly appreciated until now, being able to see, everything, changed that. (Y/n) held her close as he searched for the Mathematics and Murder class. Finding the door he slowly descends down. Wednesday’s eyes went to his face as he kept them on the ground, he descended from the sky as if he was a god among men, landing calmly on the Quad he lets her go, still having his arm around her waist to keep her balance.
“Feeling okay?” He asks.
“Get your hand from around me before you lose it.” She demands, (Y/n) quickly moved, “Sorry.” He said, Wednesday said nothing and simply walked to class, she didn’t look back at him, either out of anger or embarrassment. (Y/n) shook his head and went to his. It seems this agreement could be much more than Wednesday herself could have asked for.

Dustin knows that as soon as you cut one monster’s head off, another is bound to grow in its place.
So when the late Jason Carver’s family and friends move out of Hawkins, he’s secretly glad about it, sure, but he’s not exactly relieved.
Rumours are a hard thing to kill.
He’s careful; he tries his hardest to be careful. On the occasional days that Eddie happens to pick him up from school, he makes sure Eddie parks down the sidewalk, so he’s out of direct view from the parking lot. In all honesty, he doesn’t think anyone would actually try to start anything; the cover story for Eddie’s innocence hadn’t been watertight, nothing ever is, but it had been enough to stop full blown accusations.
Still. Dustin starts to think that maybe monsters now come in the form of silent looks, of parents whispering as they pick up their children from school, whisking them away as if Eddie might turn them to stone with one glance.
“I’ve had whispers all my life, man,” Eddie had told him, blasé, “I’ll get over it.”
But Dustin figured he could at least spare him from hearing some of it; a little walk before catching a ride isn’t exactly a hardship.
But in all of his imagined worst-case scenarios—picturing himself having to defend Eddie from the town’s rubberneckers—Dustin doesn’t expect to be confronted in the middle of the school day.
And certainly not while he’s alone.
A junior stops him on the way to the cafeteria. Dustin racks his brain, comes up with the name Aaron, blanks on the surname; yet he’s sure that there’s no crossover with Jason and his crew.
“Henderson, right?” Aaron says with a seemingly pleasant smile.
Dustin’s hackles are up from just the way he says his name—it’s not like the way Eddie and Steve say it, rounded and soft with fondness. It’s cold, oil slick.
“Yeah,” he says shortly. He makes to step to the side; Aaron doesn’t stop him really, but his weight shifts subtly, as if to silently declare that there’s no room for argument.
“Come on, let’s take a walk.”
-
At first Dustin tries very hard to convince himself that it’s just a coincidence when Aaron leads him into the woods.
But then he sees the picnic table.
Eddie had described every interaction he’d had with Chrissy in a kind of vivid detail that bordered on desperate—almost as if by recounting it, he might find a scrap of impossible hope: that it hadn’t happened like he thought, that she might have somehow survived after all.
It’s like Dustin can see the memory of her now, can hear Eddie’s words. I noticed she was… jumpy, you know, but, Jesus, I just thought I must’ve spooked her.
“This is where he did it, right?” Aaron says. “Where it all started.”
Dustin stays very still. “I don’t know what you mean.”
“Don’t play dumb. I saw them that day, wandering off.” There’s a horrible gleam in Aaron’s eyes, and Dustin knows it’s been fuelled by the darkest of whispers. “They timed it so it looked like they went there separately, but I fucking saw them.”
“I’m not—”
“He cursed Chrissy here, didn’t he? Then he finished off what he started at his piece of shit trailer. Fucking creep.”
In his mind’s eye, there’s a flash of Eddie in Steve’s arms, something he saw unintentionally, waking in the early hours of the morning. He remembers quickly shutting his eyes again, but that hadn’t been enough to block out Eddie’s gasping, tearful breaths. I thought I could help her, Steve, I-I thought—oh, God—
“You don’t know what you’re talking about,” Dustin says flatly.
He can hear Eddie’s voice in his head. Don’t rise to it, don’t give them an inch. But that had been about teachers itching for an excuse to give someone a detention, not…
“That’s right, Henderson, walk away. You a freak like him?”
The leaves rustle as Aaron stalks forward; Dustin doesn’t look back.
There’s some kinds of people you just can’t reason with, Henderson.
“Yeah, I think you are. Did he teach you everything? Bet you loved it. Bet you begged for it. Begged him to show you how to be a fucking faggot—”
Dustin doesn’t remember actually deciding to throw a punch. It’s like the next few seconds of his life turn to static, to nothing, and suddenly he’s breathing heavily, and Aaron’s looking up at him from the ground in faint surprise.
It must not have been a good punch; there’s not a mark on Aaron’s face, and when Dustin glances down at his knuckles, he can’t see any blood on them. He probably just caught Aaron in the chest—winded him, if anything.
But he stands his ground. Tries to channel how Steve had squared up to Billy Hargrove.
“Say that again, and you’re dead.”
His heart pounds in his ears, a drumbeat of fury. He wonders if maybe a part of him has never stopped being twelve years old, has never stopped being angry when people spat poison about Will.
“No,” Aaron says, getting to his feet, “you are.”
And Dustin is shoved backwards. His ankle is still weak from that damn fall through the gate, so he goes down hard.
And as he lies there, trying to catch his breath through the flare of pain, he suddenly realises that no-one knows where he is. That he could get really, really hurt.
Aaron looms over him, saying nothing. He spits in Dustin’s face.
And then he leaves.
-
“Where were you?” Mike asks the period after lunch, passing over a cup of chocolate pudding he’d saved.
Dustin spins a tale about having lunch in the music department, waiting for a slot to become free for guitar lessons. It’s not technically a lie; he’d simply planned on doing it next week instead: just a taster session so he could tell Eddie about it, and then Eddie would bitch about promising youth getting ruined by learning “fucking godawful technique”, and then he’d teach Dustin properly.
Mike buys it, but his forehead wrinkles in concern when Dustin doesn’t touch the pudding.
Dustin bites down the stupid impulse to ask him about how it felt to jump off Sattler Quarry—because right now he thinks he’s been left dangling over the edge of a cliff.
Just waiting to fall.
-
He thinks he’s doing an okay job at hiding the persistent throb in his ankle, takes care to walk to Eddie’s van with his head up.
But then Eddie opens the door, and his first words are, “Hey, are you limping?”
Dustin just stops himself from sighing. Plan B, then.
“Had to run track at gym,” he lies easily.
“Why the hell would you do that?”
“I thought it would be fine!”
“C’mon, man, you’ve got a doctor’s note for a reason.”
Dustin does sigh this time—a harsh, frustrated sound as his ankle gives another warning twinge. He doesn’t stop himself in time, and he snaps, “God, you sound like Steve. It doesn’t suit you.”
The surprised glance Eddie gives him is awful. He’s silent for a moment, starting up the engine.
“Didn’t realise only Steve could care,” he says lightly, but Dustin can see the flicker of hurt in his eyes.
But while a part of him instantly regrets what he says, another part is relieved: he knows that, for now, Eddie won’t pry anymore, will just give him a pointed silent treatment for the rest of the ride.
Dustin tells himself that he doesn’t mind. He’d rather Eddie be hurt by his words than anyone else’s.
He can do this. He can handle this on his own.
He has to.

Liam stared at Trystan, and he swore his heart momentarily stopped beating as he took in his tense demeanor and the look of dismay in his expression.
“Liam,” Trystan nodded.
“Hi …” Liam stepped aside to allow him in, and Blaine and Alia stood from the sofa when they saw him, both their bodies tensing. When Liam shut the door, he turned to face him as the other two approached. He was afraid to ask, not knowing what he was going to say, but he forced the words out. “Did you hear anything?”
Trystan nodded. “I, uh …” He rubbed a hand over his mouth. “I think we should sit,” he said as he gestured to the sofa.
Liam stared at him warily for a moment before the four of them walked to the sofa and sat down. He continued to eye Trystan, watching as he leaned forward, resting his elbows on his thighs and clasping his hands together. He remained silent for a few moments; despite taking the entire flight from New York to mull over how to approach this conversation, his words seemed to fail him at that moment.
“Trystan …” Liam broke the silence as he continued to stare at him. “What is it?”
“It’s … it’s not good news,” Trystan cautiously replied.
Liam felt his chest tighten. “What do you mean? Is Croía alright?”
“From what I know, she is … as ok as can be expected.”
“What the fuck does that mean?” Liam snapped.
“Liam,” Blaine admonished as he looked at him.
“I’m sorry, I just—” Liam let out a breath, looking back at Trystan with pleading eyes. “Who did you talk to?”
“I got in touch with Jonas first,” Trystan said. “And I found out that he was fired.”
“What?” Blaine’s brows furrowed. “Why?”
“Because when Croía landed in Drakovia on the Cordonian royal family’s private jet, it became obvious where she’d been,” Trystan replied. “Jonas never informed them of where she was … per my instruction. They fired him less than an hour after they arrived and he was escorted from the grounds. He didn’t call to tell me himself because he thought Croía would have told me.”
“What did he say about Croía?” Liam asked, feeling his palms begin to sweat.
“Nothing,” Trystan answered. “He hadn’t seen her since he was let go. So I reached out to Everett, another guard that I was close with and who I kept in touch with now and then …” Trystan inhaled a deep breath and slowly let it out as he met Liam’s gaze. “Wednesday morning, my mother instructed Lydea to assemble a few of her guards — Everett was one of them — and they were sent here to collect Croía’s belongings.”
“Wednesday … that was the last day Alia and I heard from her,” Liam said. “She hadn’t seen your parents since she’d arrived, but sent a message to tell me that she was having dinner with them that night and that she’d call me later to tell me how it went, but … I didn’t hear from her after that.”
Trystan nodded. “While they were having dinner, my mother sent guards to her room to have it searched … knowing she wouldn’t dare bring them with her to dinner, she had both of Croía’s phones confiscated, which is why no one’s been able to get a hold of her.”
“Both?” Alia questioned. “How did she find out about the other … the one for you? And does she know that’s what it’s for?”
“I don’t know,” Trystan answered. “She might know … or it was just found alongside the other so they took both.”
“But why take the phones?” Blaine asked.
“Because they don’t want her to have contact with anyone on the outside,” Trystan replied, looking at Liam again; he knew he was probably at the top of that list. “Croía … when she agreed to have dinner with them that night, knowing her, she was probably thinking — hoping — that they were just finally making time to see her, but she unknowingly walked right into a trap. And my mother … she has no intention of letting her come back here.”
“Why?” Blaine questioned as he glanced at Liam, watching his jaw tick.
Trystan chewed the inside of his cheek; there was no easy way to say what he needed to. “She’s planning to force Croía into an arranged marriage.”
“What?” Liam’s brows rose in surprise. “To who?”
“I don’t know,” Trystan shook his head. “According to Everett, this has been in the works. There’s been a ball planned for weeks now. I’m assuming she was planning to somehow get Croía home at some point, but then she chose to visit …”
“Why the hell wouldn’t this Everett guy tell you any of this before now?” Liam asked. “You said you kept in contact with him. He didn’t think to reach out and fucking tell you about what they were planning?”
“Because number one, Everett didn’t even know Croía and I still talked. No one there does, and it’s always been that way for her protection,” Trystan explained. “Jonas didn’t even know until I told him after I learned he was going to be her charge while she attended Vancross. Number two, there’s probably only a select few who knew the true reason for this ball and I can guarantee Everett wasn’t one of them. He found out its purpose after they returned from getting Croía’s stuff because they had a guards meeting that evening to go over the preliminary security measures for the night of the ball, and it was mentioned then by Lydea because she had to explain the sheer importance of why no one could afford to fuck up.”
“I don’t understand,” Alia said, shaking her head as her eyes flickered between Liam and Trystan. “Why? Why are they arranging a marriage?”
Trystan met Liam’s gaze again, knowing he’d understand the weight of what he was about to say better than anyone. “Because they have officially named Croía my father’s successor. She’s now Crown Princess … and the future Queen of Drakovia. I’m guessing, like most kingdoms steeped in tradition, they want her engaged or married before she takes the throne.”
Liam furrowed his brows as he let out a sharp breath, trying and failing to wrap his mind around what was just said. Croía was being married off … because she was going to be Queen.
“That makes no fucking sense,” Alia spat. “Your parents, especially your mother, have done nothing but treat Croía like garbage and make her feel incapable and less than her entire damn life, so why the hell would they want her to take the throne?”
Blaine looked at her; it was very rare to see Alia snap or even raise her voice, but this news about Croía — who had become one of her closest friends — had struck a deep nerve.
“That’s what I’m trying to figure out,” Trystan said. “I’m waiting for a call back from Everett. He’s trying to gather whatever intel for me he can, but he needs to be extremely careful. I’m hoping to hear from him soon. I know that none of this is much to go on, but I knew you were waiting for some kind of explanation and I didn’t want to tell you any of this over the phone … which is why I came.”
“What …” Liam trailed off, throwing his arms up in frustration and worry. “What the fuck are we supposed to do? We can’t just leave her there and let them do this to her!”
“I have no intention of letting them do anything,” Trystan stated as he looked at Liam, determination filling his eyes. “I’m going to get her out.”
“How?” Blaine asked.
“I don’t know yet,” Trystan answered honestly. “I need to wait and see what Everett can tell me … and I’ll go from there. What I do know is that I made a promise to Croía years ago that I would never let them force her into an arrangement like this, and I have no intention of breaking that promise.”
“I’ll help,” Liam said matter-of-factly.
“No,” Trystan shook his head adamantly. “I am not asking you—”
“You’re not asking me anything,” Liam interrupted.
Trystan sighed. “Liam, you can’t—”
“You can’t expect me to sit here on my ass and do nothing while she’s fucking trapped there,” Liam spat, his tone sharp and cold. “And I wasn’t asking because I sure as fuck don’t need your permission. I’ll do something to try and get her out with or without you.”
Blaine and Alia shared a glance before looking back at Trystan. “We want to help, too.”
Trystan stared at them. He didn’t want to get Liam any more mixed up with his family than he already was, and getting Croía out of Drakovia was going to be no easy feat. He also knew, however, how Liam felt about his sister, how protective he’d come to be of her, and that he would do anything to get her out of this situation and back with him; that went for Blaine and Alia as well, who Croía had become close with. He didn’t doubt that if he refused to allow them to be a part of this in some way, they would go rogue and try to do something on their own, and with their worry and emotional investment, it would be something foolish and impulsive … something that could end up doing them and Croía more harm than good.
There were things neither Liam nor Croía knew, things discovered during the investigation he was doing with the Cordonian monarchs. Had he known Croía was planning on going home, he would have tried to warn her without jeopardizing their plans, but he didn’t know, not until she called him from the Drakovian airport … and he didn’t answer the phone because he was busy. She left him a message to let him know. By the time he’d gotten the message, it was too late. He never got the chance to warn her, and the guilt he was feeling at that moment as he looked into Liam’s pleading gaze was insurmountable; he couldn’t help but feel responsible.
In trying to shield them both from the truth until they had all the answers, they had unwittingly let Croía walk blindly into the snake’s nest. Trystan couldn’t tell Liam the truth behind his parents’ backs, just as they didn’t tell Croía behind his, but he couldn’t — wouldn’t — let him or her other friends walk into a trap of their own, either.
“Fine,” Trystan reluctantly agreed. “But however we do this, we do it my way. And that’s not up for debate. And Mags and Cameron can’t know anything about this …” He sighed. “They’ll try to stop me, or worse, offer to help and put themselves at risk.”
“I won’t be telling my parents, either,” Liam said.
“Did you tell them about not being able to get in contact with her?” Trystan asked.
“No,” Liam shook his head. “I didn’t say a word before I left. As far as they’re aware, we’ve all arrived back here.”
Trystan didn’t want to keep anything from Constantine and Eleanor, having gained their trust, but Liam was determined to help him, and keeping it to himself was the only way to ensure the prince didn’t go rogue behind everyone’s backs. “Very well,” he nodded. Just then, his phone rang; he quickly pulled it from his pocket and looked at the screen, glancing up at the others a heartbeat later. “It’s Everett.”
Liam watched anxiously when Trystan answered the call.
“Hey,” Trystan greeted him. “Where are you?” He paused, listening for a moment as he glanced up, seeing a knowing, worried look in Liam’s eyes as he stared at him. “Have you seen Croía at all?”
Liam held his gaze, watching him as he listened. When Trystan nodded and mouthed that she was ok, he let out a breath he didn’t realize he’d been holding.
“No, don’t relay any messages to her. I don’t want to risk anything and I don’t want to give her false hope either. Just … keep as close of an eye on her as you can without drawing suspicion to yourself,” Trystan said. “What were you able to find out?” Several moments of silence passed before his head snapped up as his body straightened. “What did you hear?” Liam watched Trystan’s brow furrow as he listened to Everett; his eyes shifted in different directions as if he were taking in the information being given to him on the other end of the phone and piecing a puzzle together. “Are you sure that’s what was said?” He closed his eyes with a sigh when he was answered. “Ok. If you find anything else out, give me a call, but I’ll be in touch.”
When Trystan ended the call, the other three sat forward. “Well?” Alia asked.
“He hasn’t found anything … not yet, anyway, but he’s going to keep looking and listening for anything that may help,” Trystan explained. “But he did overhear something that makes me believe there was never any intention of Croía choosing a suitor at this ball. I think my mother plans to choose for her …”
Alia’s brow furrowed. “What makes you think that?”
“A lot of the reason why she treats Croía the way she does is because she sees her as too naive and not cunning enough, not willing to do what it takes for the sake of not our country’s crown but our family’s crown,” Trystan explained. “She’s seen as too meek. Too empathetic. Too compassionate.”
“So why choose Croía as their heir at all?” Liam asked.
“Well,” Trystan sighed. “I’m exiled. Lydea gave up her position in the line of succession to run the Royal Guard. Kaspar and Emika enjoy theft and torture too much to even be considered fit to rule. And it would complicate Astrid’s dating and sex life too much for her liking.”
“You still have three other siblings,” Blaine scoffed.
“And they’re—”
“Illegitimate,” Alia interjected.
Trystan nodded. “Vasili, Sebastyan, and Marguerite are my father’s children with his mistress; they have no legal claim to the throne. Which only leaves Croía.”
“Go back to your mother choosing for her,” Liam said. “What do you mean?”
“I think my mother is going to try to put someone on the throne who’s going to do her bidding once my father steps down next year … once she no longer holds her position of power.”
“How would they do her bidding?” Blaine asked. “I’m no royal, but wouldn’t whoever Croía potentially marries merely be a consort or whatever and therefore not have any real power?”
“Normally, yes,” Alia answered. “When a female in a royal bloodline marries, her husband is not allowed to take the male form of her title because they would essentially outrank her.”
“But they can get around it if granted the Crown Matrimonial,” Trystan said.
“What the hell is that?” Liam questioned.
“Everett said he overheard Lydea speaking to my mother in passing and that he heard something about a Crown Matrimonial mentioned. I asked if he was certain that’s what he heard, and he was absolutely sure. When he said it, it clicked … it all makes sense …”
“What is it?” Liam repeated. “And what makes sense?”
“If offered as part of a marriage agreement, the Crown Matrimonial would grant the betrothed the power to co-reign equally as King, not consort.” Trystan shook his head. “If that’s what they’re planning … whoever is chosen will be a legal co-sovereign of Drakovia alongside Croía … which would give them the same power in making decisions as her and, as King, they’d technically outrank her, so there wouldn’t be much she could do to argue their decisions even though it would be her throne by right. And it makes sense because they know Croía wouldn’t rule as they have … but they’ll have someone there that will …”
“Why the hell would they give someone that much power over their throne … over their heir?” Liam asked.
“The only way it would be offered is if there was a guarantee of it being of use to them,” Trystan replied. “They’re not just going to agree to hand over their throne to an outsider — people they typically despise — without getting something in return. Something big.”
And because of what they uncovered from the investigation, Trystan had an idea of what that something pertained to.
“Why step down at all then?” Alia questioned. “What’s the point?”
“All Drakovian monarchs have to step down at the age of 65, which he’ll be next year,” Trystan explained. “Some old King claimed that stepping down at that age would prevent Drakovia ever being weakened by a monarch past their prime. For some reason, no one’s ever thought to challenge that tradition.”
“If they’re so willing to give an ‘outsider’ that much power, why not just put one of the other three on the throne?” Blaine asked. “I understand they’re considered illegitimate, but your father’s bloodline would still remain, right?”
“Yes, but my mother would never agree to that because she wants one of her children on the throne so her bloodline is there as well,” Trystan answered before looking at Liam. “Croía would ensure that for her.”
Liam’s jaw tensed as he swallowed down the bile that rose in his throat over the implication of Croía being used or, worse, forced to carry on that bloodline. Over his dead body would he allow that to happen. He cleared his throat and let out a breath. “So what are we going to do? What’s the plan?”
Trystan thought for a moment, searching his muddled mind for the best path forward based on the little information he had. “I think our best bet is the ball,” he finally said. “It’ll be crowded with other guests and is our best option for getting her out less noticeably.”
“When is the ball?” Liam asked.
“A month.”
“A month?” Liam repeated incredulously. “We can’t leave her there that fucking long!”
“We don’t have a damn choice,” Trystan retorted. “I don’t want her staying there any more than you do, but we have to play this carefully and meticulously for it to work. And this will give us time to plan because we have to have a plan going in.”
Liam sighed, rubbing his eyes with his thumb and forefinger as his other hand balled into a fist. It’s not as if he had much of a choice but to go along with it, but to have to wait a month wasn’t going to be easy. He was already hanging off the edge.
“Li, he’s right,” Blaine said. “We have to go into this with a full-fledged plan, not only for our sake but Croía’s.”
“I know,” Liam grumbled.
“I’ll let Everett know so he can get us whatever information we’ll need and can use leading up to the ball,” Trystan said. “For now … I have a few days before I’m expected back in New York, so we can work with what we know and start to try and formulate something …”
****
A few hours later, the four of them sat in the living room with boxes of pizza stacked on the coffee table in front of them; Blaine and Alia had offered to go grab something for them to eat while Trystan talked to Liam.
Trystan tried to lessen Liam’s qualms about Croía’s situation; Liam listened and simply nodded at all of his attempts to do so, but he knew nothing he said was going to be of any help. He could tell the young prince was trying to mask his worry and stress as best as he could, and while he saw right through it, he didn’t push him to voice any of it.
Once Blaine and Alia returned, Trystan reached out to Everett to let him know of their intended plan; the guard offered to help in any way that he could and promised to find out as much as he could about anything pertaining to the ball. Trystan also reached out to Jonas; he knew he’d be more than willing to help.
“So, I take it that this isn’t a ball we’re going to be able to waltz right into?” Blaine said before taking a bite of pizza.
“No,” Trystan laughed wryly. “Security is tight on a regular day. It’ll be extra tight that night.”
A knock on the door paused their conversation; Liam stood from the sofa to answer it while Blaine and Alia shared a glance and subtle, conspiratorial smiles.
When Liam opened the door, his brow furrowed when he saw Olivia, Rashad, Simon, Kennedy, Tatum, Dionne, Peter, Zaira, Evelyn, Alexei, and Henri all on the other side. “Hey,” he greeted them as he stepped aside to let them all in; they filed in one by one. He shut the door and turned to see them all facing the living area; he stepped into their line of vision, looking at them questioningly. “What are you all doing here?”
“Blaine and Alia called a little group meeting on their way to get your pizza, so we all met at mine and Kennedy’s suite,” Dionne answered. “They told us what was going on with Croía.”
“They said you’re planning to get her out of there,” Peter added.
“And we want to help,” Kennedy said. “In any way that we can.” Tatum tipped his head to Liam in agreement as he placed a hand on her shoulder.
Trystan stood from the sofa and came to stand beside Liam, who let out a quiet breath as he looked at each of his friends. “I appreciate that, really, but … no. It’s not a good idea. You don’t need to get mixed up in whatever this is.”
“Well, thankfully, you don’t get a say,” Olivia scoffed, and he shot her a look. “You can give me that look all you want, but it’s not going to change my mind or anyone else’s. We’re helping.”
Rashad crossed his arms over his chest. “Whether you like it or not.”
Liam shook his head. “You guys—”
“Croía is our friend too,” Zaira interrupted, and Evelyn nodded her agreement beside her.
“What she said,” Alexei subtly smiled as Henri nodded behind him.
“So, tell us what we need to do to get our girl back,” Simon said.
Liam stared at all of them for a moment; their expressions didn’t falter, silently telling him in no uncertain terms that they were not backing down. He then glanced over his shoulder at Blaine and Alia, and they both shrugged innocently; the amount of pizza they returned with, which was far more than enough for just the four of them, now made sense. Finally, he looked at Trystan beside him; Liam had agreed to do this his way, so this decision rested with him.
Trystan looked over the group in front of him and after a few long moments, he subtly nodded, giving his approval.
Liam looked back at his friends. “We don’t have anything planned yet, we’re just … going over some details.”
“Fill us in,” Simon said as he clapped Liam’s shoulder before heading toward the living area, followed by the others.
Liam and Trystan both turned, watching them all get situated on the large sectional, reaching for slices of pizza. When Liam looked over at Trystan again, his brow knit at seeing the corner of his eye glisten. “You ok?”
“This is all she ever wanted,” Trystan quietly replied, gesturing toward the group as he looked at Liam. “When Croía came here to Vancross … the one thing she wanted more than anything was to just make some friends.” He glanced back to the group, watching them all for a moment. “She found a lot more than that …”
*******
Stepping outside from where his last class of the day was held, Liam started toward his building; he weaved his way through the crowd of other students before his steps quickened once through the thick of it.
It had been two weeks since they returned to campus, two weeks since Trystan had shown up outside his door to tell him what was happening with Croía and why nobody had heard from her … two weeks since they decided to work together to get her back.
Liam stepped inside his building and opted for the stairs, bounding up them two at a time as he held his heavy backpack in place over his shoulders. Once at the top floor, he turned down the hall toward his suite; he opened the door and stepped inside, met by the chatter from the others who were there.
Their suite had become the makeshift headquarters of their covert operation.
“Have fun today?” Trystan asked.
“As much fun as classes can be,” Liam replied.
“And do you have any homework?” another voice sounded playfully, earning a snort from Trystan.
Liam glanced over, giving his brother a look at his question, which was nothing more than a joking attempt to “parent” him.
A few days after arriving at Vancross to tell Liam what he knew, Trystan headed back to New York; he returned just a few days later with Leo in tow. They’d been there ever since.
Trystan had reached out to Leo himself to ask if he’d be willing to help with the undertaking of getting Croía out of Drakovia; he trusted him, but more than that, he knew Liam was on edge and figured having his brother around might help to keep him grounded. Leo agreed without an ounce of hesitation, and the two used one another as their excuse for being away.
The Cordonian monarchs along with Cameron and Marguerite were under the impression that the two old friends were catching up at a motocross event in the South of France. The timing worked out in Trystan’s favor since the side investigation he was helping them with was at somewhat of a standstill while they continued looking for that smoking gun they needed.
Over the last two weeks, Everett had kept Trystan as up-to-date as he could on Croía, but couldn’t tell him much other than she was unharmed, and he only knew that from seeing her in passing. The guard couldn’t speak to her as his position gave him no reason to, and he couldn’t ask those who may know more because it could draw suspicion.
The ball being held in Drakovia, which they learned — much to their luck — was a masquerade, was now two weeks away, and while they had a fairly solid plan in place, there were some obstacles they were working through and details they were still hashing out.
“How’s that going?” Liam asked Leo and Trystan, tipping his head toward the kitchen counter.
“About the same,” Trystan answered.
“I’m not in yet,” a voice called out from where they sat at the counter, having overheard the conversation. Crown Princess Amalas looked over her shoulder and smiled at Liam. “But I will be soon.”
Set up in front of Amalas were three laptops, all running a hacking program. Liam glanced between the three screens. He had no idea what he was looking for; hell, he had no idea what he was looking at. To him, it was just a bunch of random letters, symbols, and numbers that auto-scrolled and kept changing every time he blinked.
They’d been working on breaking into the Drakovian palace’s servers to access the guest list for the ball. It was one of the obstacles in their way; they needed to access the guest list in order to add to it.
Before he left for New York, Trystan mentioned how he wished he could ask Cameron’s friend Luke for help getting their hands on the guest list, knowing he’d be able to find a way to access it. Alia chimed in and suggested asking her sister. The Crown Princess of Monterisso had a reputation for her technological skills and Alia was certain she’d be more than willing to help knowing how close she and Croía had become. Amalas may seem hardhearted to others, but she had a soft spot for her baby sister.
Just as Alia thought, Amalas agreed. She arrived at Vancross two days later; she was staying in Alia’s suite but had set up her equipment in Blaine and Liam’s as that’s where everyone had been meeting.
Alia walked past Liam and looped her arms around her sister’s shoulders from behind. “Still working on it?” she asked, having just arrived with Blaine after their last class.
“Yes,” Amalas answered. “Their firewalls are …”
“Complex?” Blaine interjected.
“Yeah,” Amalas nodded.
“I’d expect nothing less,” Trystan replied as he moved toward the kitchen island. He glanced down at what was lying on it as Liam and Leo came beside him. “Everett sent us the details for the outside security perimeter earlier,” he explained as they looked over the Drakovian palace blueprint that Jonas had managed to get ahold of and send him; the perimeter had already been marked on the diagram. “They’re going to have two guards positioned in each of these locations,” he said as he pointed to a few spots marked with an ‘X’. “The entrance I will use is here,” he tapped a finger to a spot at the back of the palace; the exiled prince couldn’t be seen and needed to sneak in. “It’s accessible from a secret tunnel that runs beneath a back road behind the palace.”
“What about your siblings?” Leo asked. “Should we be particularly worried about any of them being there and being a problem?”
Trystan shook his head. “Vasili and Sebastyan may be present in the beginning, but they’ll be scarce and then leave; Bas will be wallowing in his anger and Vasili will be trying to calm him down. Astrid, if she bothers to show up at all, will be too focused on the suitors so she can move in on those who aren’t chosen. And my mother isn’t going to allow Kaspar near the palace, which means Emika will be charged with keeping him away.”
“Why wouldn’t she allow Kaspar there?” Liam asked.
Amalas snorted. “Because he’s a goddamn klepto, that’s why.” She looked over at Liam. “Did you know he’s barred from entering several countries, including Monterisso and Cordonia?”
“What?” Liam and Alia both said in unison.
“Years ago, he stole the Crown Jewels of Monterisso,” Amalas answered, earning a gasp from her sister. “Obviously, we got them back, but mother and father didn’t take too kindly to it and barred him from stepping foot in our country again. And as for Cordonia, he tried stealing the Cordonian Golden Apple.”
“You guys and your fucking apples,” Blaine snorted.
“Like I said,” Trystan began, “my mother isn’t going to risk having Kaspar anywhere near the palace that night. The only one we’ll need to worry about is Lydea.”
“Pfftt,” Leo scoffed. “I could take her.”
“No, you can’t,” Trystan said matter-of-factly. “Lydea can be lethal when she wants and needs to be. I think it’s best if I handle her. She’ll be able to fight, but I have an advantage.”
“What’s that?” Liam asked.
“I’m better,” Trystan said confidently.
****
Later, while Amalas still worked on getting into the guest list, Liam, Blaine, Trystan, and Leo sat up on the roof after everyone else save for Alia, who was inside the suite with her sister, had left.
Holding his breath with the hit he’d just taken, Leo passed a blunt to Liam; Trystan watched from his seat across from him as he put it to his mouth. It wasn’t hard to see that Liam had been on edge the last couple of weeks — understandably so. He wasn’t doing much to hide it. Hell, he’d been on edge himself, but he was better at controlling it than Liam.
It’s why Trystan had made a decision earlier that he knew Liam wasn’t going to be happy about.
When Liam passed the blunt to Blaine, Trystan cleared his throat. “Once Amalas gets the list, the decision has been made that Leo, Blaine, and Simon will be the ones added under the aliases, which she’s still working on coming up with.”
Liam snapped his gaze to him as he exhaled. “What about me?”
Blaine and Leo shared sidelong glances as Trystan held his stare. “Liam, you’re too emotionally invested to be on the inside.”
“Everyone involved is emotionally fucking invested in one way or another,” Liam retorted.
“Yes, but not in the way you are,” Trystan replied. “I know how you feel about Croía and how protective you are of her, and while I both respect and admire it, under these circumstances, those feelings are a liability. You’re already a ticking bomb. I’m not going to let this plan’s success hinge on whether or not you’ll be able to control yourself.”
Liam shook his head. “That’s bullshit!”
“Li—”
“No, Leo!” Liam shot his brother a look. “He’s asking me to leave getting her out of there in everyone else’s hands!”
“I’m not asking. I’m telling you,” Trystan said sternly. He knew he was upset, but he wasn’t going to change his mind. “This is how it’s going to be done.”
Leo glanced at his old friend. Yes, he was right that Liam was a ticking bomb, but so was Trystan, and this little rift between them was bringing down his usually stoic facade. “Look, maybe Liam can—”
“He agreed that we would do things my way,” Trystan interrupted. “This is my way.” He looked back at Liam. “So either get on board or get the fuck off the ship.”
Liam stood from his chair, grumbling obscenities under his breath as he made his way off the roof without a backward glance. A moment later, Blaine stood. “I’ll go talk to him …”
Leo sighed when he disappeared from view and looked over at Trystan. “Look. Tensions are high. And I get it. But don’t be a dick.”
“I’m not trying to be a dick,” Trystan said, “but he needs to realize this is the best way. I understand he wants to be there and help, but you know I’m right, Leo. He’ll be fueled by emotions going in and that’s not going to do us any favors.”
“I know,” Leo nodded. “And I’m sure deep down, he knows that too. I’m just saying … he’s worried. He’s already on edge. You both are …”
Trystan looked at him and let out a breath. “Sorry. I just … we only have one shot at this. We can’t afford to fuck anything up.”
“I know.”
“I’ll go talk to him,” Trystan said as he went to stand.
“No,” Leo held up his hand to stop him. “Give him time to cool off. Because he can be a dick, too, when he’s pissed off and I really don’t want to have to get in between the two of you if things take a turn.”
“You don’t think I could take him?” Trystan quipped.
Leo snorted. “You probably could, but I can tell you from experience that he’d put up one hell of a fight. You’d both come out looking a little worse for wear.”
Down in the suite, after sharing concerned glances with Alia and Amalas, both of whom saw Liam storm inside and slam his bedroom door behind him, Blaine knocked on his door; when he didn’t answer, he opened it anyway. Liam was pacing the length of his room with his hands clasped behind his head. Blaine took a step inside and shut the door behind him, leaning against it as he folded his arms across his chest.
“What?” Liam snapped.
“Don’t get snippy with me,” Blaine said. “I didn’t do anything.”
Liam stopped his pacing. “Did you know you were going in with Leo and Simon?”
“Not until about 20 minutes before everyone left tonight,” Blaine explained. “He told me and Simon together while you were talking to Leo and said that he was going to talk to you about it.”
“It’s fucking bullshit.”
“Yeah, it is,” Blaine agreed. “But you know he’s right.” Liam looked at him. “He is. And I get it. I get why you want to be there. If the shoe was on the other foot and it was Alia, I’d be absolutely fucking feral, and the second I saw her, all bets would be off. Which is exactly how you’ll be if he lets you go in. You’re one thing going wrong away from losing it as it is.”
Liam threw his hands up in both frustration and defeat. “What the fuck am I supposed to do?”
“You’re doing everything you can,” Blaine answered.
It had been three weeks since Liam had last heard from Croía, and each day that passed took its toll on him. He wasn’t sleeping well, and between classes, assignments, and late nights working with everyone to put a plan in place, he was more stressed than he ever remembered being before.
This just added to everything else.
Liam let out a breath and ran his fingers through his hair. “I feel like I’m losing my fucking mind.”
“I know you’re worried,” Blaine said, “but at the end of the day, we have to trust that Trystan knows what he’s doing.”
*******
A week later, the entire group was gathered in Liam and Blaine’s suite with Trystan and Amalas standing before them; she’d finally hacked the guest list and had spent the last several days putting together aliases for the three that would be going in with Trystan.
With everyone there, Trystan explained that he’d reached out to an old friend who owned a cabin in the mountains just outside of the Drakovian border in Rivala; they would be arriving there the night before the ball. Amalas also planned to get into the security feed now that she hacked the server; she was going with them to monitor that and pass along whatever information she could to Trystan once he was inside. Olivia, who wouldn’t take no for an answer, was tagging along to help her with that task.
In the week since their rift on the roof, Trystan and Liam hadn’t spoken about what was said between them. Trystan figured Liam was still upset and was waiting for what felt like the right time to approach him. Liam hadn’t sought Trystan out to speak to him privately because everything he said about being too emotionally invested was true; he was still struggling with getting his emotions under control and didn’t feel like proving Trystan’s point.
Trystan did, however, agree to let both Liam and Alia come with them after talking to Leo and Amalas. Next to him, they were closest to Croía, and they thought it might help to keep Liam calm if he came along.
Everyone else was staying behind at Vancross. They didn’t want to draw suspicion with their entire group suddenly being MIA. Their job while the others were gone was to stave off anyone who might come asking questions about where their friends had disappeared to.
Once Trystan finished explaining the details about his friend’s cabin, Amalas stepped forward. “I’ve given each of you an alias as a noble from Rivala,” Amalas said, handing Blaine, Leo, and Simon each a piece of paper. “You have a week to commit them to memory. They’re basic and boring because you don’t want to make spectacles of yourselves. Putting you on the list was risky in itself because we don’t know how exclusive the list was to begin with, so we don’t want to draw any unwanted attention.”
The men stared down at the information they were to memorize about their assumed identities. “What is this?” Blaine scoffed. “Lord Elias Lambros? What happened to the list of names I gave you?”
Amalas cut a pointed glare in Blaine’s direction as she settled a hand on her hip. “I’m sorry, I don’t think Phil McGroin, Mike Rochburns, and Ben O’Verbich would have worked out very well.”
Blaine snorted at hearing her say them. “I thought they were pretty great.”
“Ben … Ben O’Verbich?” Leo chuckled as he looked at Blaine.
After three weeks of stress, exhaustion, and worry, that dose of levity seemed to be the thing everyone needed at that moment. Suddenly, the entire room broke out into hysterics. Simon and Rashad bent over, placing their hands on their knees as Leo and Trystan stumbled into each other, holding their stomachs. The others all joined in and laughed as Amalas smirked and shook her head.
“What?” Blaine chuckled as he glanced around the room at everyone. “They were good names!” he exclaimed, throwing his hands up. He glanced over his shoulder to gauge Liam’s reaction … just in time to see the sliding glass door leading to the balcony shut. The sound caused the room to fall silent as everyone turned their attention to the door Liam had just disappeared out of.
It was the thing everyone needed … except him.
“Shit,” Blaine mumbled as he turned toward the door.
Trystan stepped in front of him. “I’ll go,” he said. “You have an alias to study up on.” Blaine sighed with a nod as he turned away.
When Trystan stepped outside, the balcony was empty, and he glanced up at the ladder that led to the roof; he walked over to it and began making his way to the top. Just as his head poked over the last rung of the ladder to give him a view of the roof, he saw Liam pick up one of the old chairs they had set up in their makeshift lounge; he swung it up over his head before slamming it to the ground with an anguished growl, and Trystan winced.
Letting out a breath, Trystan pulled himself the rest of the way up to the roof; once he stood, he slipped his hands into his pockets. Liam turned to look at him, having heard the scuffling of his feet; his jaw tensed as he turned away, lacing his fingers together at the back of his neck as he tipped his head back and looked at the night sky.
Trystan slowly made his way over, stopping right beside him, and the two stood in quietness for several long moments.
“I can’t laugh …” Liam finally broke the silence. Hearing his voice crack, Trystan glanced over to see the moon illuminating a wet trail on his cheek. “I can’t laugh with her being stuck there and imagining what she’s going through, which is the worst, by the way. All I can think of are the worst possible outcomes. Of how she’s being treated. Of what she’s thinking and feeling.” He dropped his hands to his sides. “I can’t laugh,” he whispered.
“She’d want you to laugh,” Trystan said, earning a scoff from Liam, but he ignored it. “And if she knew her absence was causing so much turmoil … I don’t know if she’d be surprised or feel guilty.”
“Both,” Liam said. “She’d be both.”
“Probably,” Trystan nodded. “And if she knew you and I had a row over how to get her out, she’d be angry with us both … and also feel guilty about it.”
Liam looked at him, clearing his throat. “I’m sorry … for how I acted the other night. I just …” He sighed. “I want to help.”
“I know you do,” Trystan nodded. “And you are, even if it doesn’t feel that way. And I’m sorry, too. You’re not the only one who’s been on edge.”
Liam shook his head. “I’m the only one letting it get the better of me, it would seem.”
“When I said you were too emotionally invested, I didn’t mean it as a bad thing,” Trystan said as he looked at him. “Croía … I don’t think she’s ever had someone wear their heart on their sleeve for her the way you do … not even me. And I know you’re worried. But I promise you, Liam … we will get her out. You have my word.”

Here's that little quick piece I promised in my last post. Here is the chronological start of my planned multiverse. Though it all really started when My KP fic and how a part of that started event in cigarettes and valentine's.(my life is strange and Dr who crossover) now it's all got away from me and I digress. big thanks to the danny phantom and DC fandoms for giving me a great anchor point. Anyway like I said when I get out of the hospital I'll work on getting everything else updated. Here's the fic:
The long road of how starting a fight with superman over clone parenting eventually lead to Danny Phantom become God:
Danielle “Dani with an I” Phantom, the clone of Amity Park’s local ghost vigilante Danny Phantom, decided to start a clone support group. Dani had experienced firsthand the struggles and challenges that came with being a clone, and she wanted to create a safe space where clones from various backgrounds could come together and share their experiences.
Word spread quickly, and soon, they gathered at one of Danny’s safe houses he loaned to Danielle. She also had help so each member only had to go to a specific room at a nearby community center. Her father’s ghost abilities and Mama Sam’s Magic would take care of the rest to turn the doors into temporary portals that would bring each member to the safe house. Among the members who arrived were Linda Danvers, a clone of Supergirl, Conner Kent, a clone of Superman, and Jarro, a Starro clone.
Danielle welcomed everyone with a warm smile. "Thank you all for being here today. I created this little group so we can share our stories, support each other and just be there for each other. Being a clone can be difficult. I know that as well as anyone. Let's start by introducing ourselves, I'll go first.”
“I’m Danielle Phantom but you can call me Dani, that’s Dani with an I, and I am a clone of Danny Phantom. I was created because some fruit loop wanted Danny as a son and when he couldn’t get that he made me and then tried to get me to kill my original and his parents. Obviously that didn’t work out and now Danny and I are on really good terms!”
Jarro floated gently in the air before psychically speaking "I'm Jarro, a clone of Starro. Being a clone means constantly battling stereotypes and misconceptions. People assume I'm evil because of my origin, but I strive to prove them wrong every day."
Linda Danvers raised her hand and spoke next. "I'm Linda, a clone of Supergirl. Being her clone makes me feel as if I’m constantly living in the shadow of my original. People expect me to live up to her legacy, but I'm still figuring out who I am as an individual." Linda received many nods as they could truly empathize with her on living in the shadow of their original.
Linda Danvers took a deep breath, her eyes softened to reflect her vulnerability. "Being a clone of Supergirl has been a constant struggle for me,"
She paused for a moment, gathering her thoughts. "The truth is…I'm still trying to figure out who I am. I have my own dreams, desires, and flaws. It's hard to escape the comparisons and the feeling that I'm somehow a mere shadow of my original"
Linda glanced around the room, meeting the compassionate gazes of her fellow clones. "I often find myself wondering if I'm destined to live in her shadow forever. But being here with all of you, hearing your stories and struggles, gives me hope."
She continued, "I don't want to be defined solely by being a clone. I want to be Linda Danvers.."
Conner Kent could definitely understand how Linda felt. Conner’s stomach turned as Linda’s words hammered in the truth of his own relationship with the man of steel.
Danielle reached out, placing a reassuring hand on Linda's shoulder. "Linda, you're not alone. It can be a lot to remind ourselves and the world that our worth isn't determined by the circumstances of our creation. But that’s why we’re here, so we can support each other.”
“Thanks,” Linda smiled at Danielle’s reassurances.
Conner took a deep breath, his voice tinged with a mixture of sadness and anger. "I... I'm Conner Kent, a clone of Superman," he began, his gaze fixed on the ground. "But my relationship with Superman has been anything but what I expected. Instead of acceptance and guidance, I've faced rejection."
He looked up, meeting the eyes of his fellow clones. "Superman has never treated me as an equal. He sees me as a flawed imitation, a violation against his bodily autonomy. He constantly compares me to himself, highlighting how I will never be him. I’m not him, I’m me. My own person. I just wish he could understand that, it’s not like I asked to be created.” Conner’s voice rose with rage until he slumped back down, his voice damping in his own personal defeat.
A surge of anger coursed through the room. Danielle Phantom's expression hardened. "No one deserves to be treated that way," she said firmly.
"Conner, you are more than just a replica. You have your own strengths, your own worth. You don't need Superman's validation to prove that."
Linda Danvers spoke up "Conner, your value isn't determined by Superman's actions or opinions. Honestly it sounds like he is being a dick about the whole thing,"
Jarro joined in. "No one has the right to treat you as less than who you are. Conner, you should be treated with respect and dignity as any person would expect"
Conner’s eyes glistened with gratitude. "Thank you all. Your words and support mean more to me than you can imagine," he said, Danielle looked at Conner, "if you want me to do something about it, I can try to talk to my dad," she offered.
Conner looked at Danielle, confusion in his eyes. "You can do something? Like what?" he asked,
Danielle smiled mischievously, knowing exactly what she meant but choosing her words carefully. "Let's just say my dad has his ways of dealing with situations," she replied,
Linda, sensing the unspoken desire, arched an eyebrow and leaned closer. "Danielle, what are you thinking?" she whispered.
Danielle chuckled softly before responding, her voice barely above a whisper. "Let me talk to my dad, he might have a unique perspective on this situation."
Jarro floated closer, his curiosity piqued. "What are you saying…," he started, only to be interrupted by Danielle's raised hand “I have a feeling that my dad might be able to provide some guidance or at least offer a... different perspective."
“After all my dad, Danny Phantom has experience being the one cloned and he doesn’t like it when clones are treated badly, no not at all.” Dani shook her head silently laughing at what her father’s ‘talk’ with Superman would most likely entail.
As Danielle revealed her secret, a collective gasp filled the room, followed by a mix of surprise and awe on the faces of Linda, Conner, and Jarro. Linda was the first to find her voice. "Wait, you mean to say that Danny Phantom actually adopted you as his daughter?" Danielle nodded, a warm smile spreading across her face. "Yes, he did. After finding out about me, he took me in and treated me as his own. Danny has been an amazing dad to me. He provides love, and support, just like any other parent.”
Conner's eyes widened with astonishment. "That's incredible."
Danielle's smile turned somewhat sheepish. "It honestly is incredible. Sometimes, though, he can be a little overprotective.”
Jarro floated closer, intrigued by this newfound information. "A protective father, huh? I guess I know how that feels. My adoptive father is like that as well."
Conner gave a soft smile. "Your bond with your dad is inspiring. It gives me hope that not all clones have to face rejection and mistreatment.” The “like me” at the end of Conner's sentence, went unspoken.
“Exactly, and I’m sure my dad can talk some sense into Superman.” Dani grinned.

Constanstine starts acting sober on important missions/meetings for the JLD; he has a sanity-potion dealer
Zatanna reports this odd behavior to Batman, they interrogate him when his veins are swamped with alcohol.
C: … I-I know what yer doin’ [hiccups]
Z: We care for your well-being. You have bouts of sobriety that you seem to have control over.
B: Are you on something new?
C: M’yeah… is called a pwoz—piss—poise! Poise potion, yeah das it!
B: And who makes this “Poise” potion?
C: My dealah, my busniz. G’way! [stumbles out the door]
Z: … That went as well as expected.
Sober Constantine is actually more reasonable. Batman catches him after a meeting.
B: [observes his brushed hair and very high-quality, new trench coat] You’re sober… Congratulations?
C: Uhuh. Did you need something? I have some business elsewhere.
B: With your dealer?
C: [affronted] Wha—Who in their right bloody mind would dare call Celest that?
B: You did.
C: ….
B: Who’s Celest?
C: Oh, fuck me!
Constantine gives him an address - it’s in Milan, Lombardy (Region of Italy). He specifically instructs him to come as a civ along with Red Hood and Robin with the threat that he will erase their memories if they so much as go into detective mode.
Bruce Wayne and his two wayward children enters the teahouse and is led by the hostess to a private room. They are served with tea and light snacks that they know even Alfred would more than approve of.
A door opens - they didn’t even know it was one with the way the molding blends into each other seamlessly. And out came one of the most enchanting woman Bruce has ever seen. He’s seen his fair share of attractive females but he has never been star-struck like he should be - as if he were back to his pre-pubescent days.
M: Constantine said you’d be here.
B: [realizes that this person was Constantine’s dealer and was 100% magic] You’re his dealer?
*Jason and Damian who saw the look on their dad’s face snicker at his opening line*
M: [raises and elegant eyebrow at Bruce] And you must be his work associates?
J: Something like that, lady. I’m Jason, kid’s Damian, and the one who can’t stop staring at you is our Dad, Bruce.
*Bruce grumbles and Marinette smirks*
M: I’m Marinette. It’s a pleasure to meet you.
D: [gestures at Bruce] Pleasure is all his, Marinette.
B: [red at the ears] Their Grandfather thought them better, I swear.
M: Mhmm. I guess he didn’t teach them how to not die then?
The guys: ….
Jason gets a more potent version of the potion Constantine consumes - it’s a prescription that he has to come for every month. Damian gets a charm; ear cuffs because he does whatever her wants, a spontaneous orbital piercing is nothing. And Bruce gets Mari’s number.
(Tim also gets forwarded in his fave fashion label’s waitlist from the near thousands to the fourteenth - his first consultation coincides with Jason’s next appointment.)
AN: Some posts/fics call Mari Celestial Guardian. Idk where and when that happened - I have abandoned canon a long time ago. These are all pulled from my days in the maribat blackhole (still kinda stuck there). I basically pulled this out of my archives so they at least get the chance to see the daylight.
Addressing Brucinette: I have a whole re-written MLB plot in my archives where everything is more brutal and the miraculous aren’t actual pieces of accessories. Like there’s an initiation to the order and stuff like that. I normally don’t enjoy aging up characters in crossovers but Brucinette just works. I have a secretary AU somewhere (it’s tragic and I’m considering scrapping it if I find it). And I also have deep-rooted issues that wants me to write Good!Dad Bruce who has Mari breathing down his neck when he so much as raises his voice at his children (Muminette/Mominette is another breed scary). And those tropes where Mari sees right through Brucie? Has a second sense for the when the batkids are in/causes trouble? Love those. I WILL FIGHT FOR THIS SHIP. (Jk people are free to dislike this. I get it.)

I would like to request A gender neutral reader being a half titan (Greek myth titans) half mortal whose father is Oceanus (Because it only makes sense) and the ror universe greek gods being surprised about the fact that the reader is human looking and human sized despite their their father being a titan. Greek Gods Only please. (I.e. Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Hermes And Ares and/or Heracles)
It would be fun to see their reactions.
And Crossover is Heavily Implied But No Crossover here, Please.
How They knew and met is entirely up to your choosing.
-When it was revealed that there was a child of a Titan still out there in the world, the gods, naturally, panicked!!!
-Zeus was immediately giving out orders for this Titan child to be found, worrying about another uprising, wanting this to be dealt with immediately!
-They were not expecting their target to be brought in by Aphrodite, walking alongside her, about the same height, and looked basically like a normal human, except you had blue hair that was dark in some spots and lighter in others, like the ocean.
-You weren’t really sure why you were being called by the gods, as you’ve spent most of your life lounging on a beautiful tropical island you had converted into a massive luxury resort.
-Zeus looked up at you, his eyes wide, “This is the child of Oceanus?!” you grinned warmly down at him, “Hi there! That’s right, he’s my dad! I’m Y/N!”
-You were totally not what they were expecting, even Aphrodite, who had found you on accident, was stunned that you looked so… unlike your Titan father.
-Hades then spoke to you, his tone even but not unkind, “If you’re Oceanus’ child, why are you normal sized like the rest of us?”
-You shrugged your shoulders, “Not completely sure myself- oh wait- I know why! It’s because I’m only a demi-god, mom was a human!”
-That wouldn’t completely explain things, but they weren’t going to bother with it at the moment.
-Poseidon was rather leery of you, worried you were going to try to take over the oceans to avenge your father.
-You were immediately laughing, holding your sides as he scowled, looking rather annoyed before you gave him a grin, “Why would I want to do that when I have my resort to keep me busy?”
-This…did make sense, and Zeus was the first to apologize to you but you weren’t bothered, actually extending an offer to them to visit your resort!
-Zeus- He was instantly like your best friend, he was so funny and enjoyed as many activities he could at the resort, from partaking at the different restaurants and bars, learning to dance, you taught him how to surf yourself, at least the simple stuff. You were definitely nothing like the other titans he faced in the past, you were so much fun! He quickly joined your rewards program and was at the resort at least once a month.
-Poseidon- Watched you the closest while at your resort, which was very beautiful and you took cleanliness very seriously, not allowing any pollution from your resort to taint the beaches or oceans, and you were a constant diver in the ocean around your island, making sure there was nothing bad to disturb the reef or the wildlife. He relaxed after a few days, enjoying hard liquor as he floated in the lazy river pool that wrapped around your whole island.
-Hades- Was annoyed that he spent most of his time at the resort asleep, sleeping in his bed, sleeping in a poolside cabana, sleeping on the warm sandy beaches. He felt like he didn’t get a chance to experience all your resort had to offer, but he did feel extremely relaxed. Hades booked his next vacation as they were getting ready to leave. You were no threat; he was quick to realize this.
-Hermes- The resort was so beautiful! Hermes spent days exploring, from the resort to the beaches, scuba diving with you to see the reefs, and even the jungle that had a footpath the whole way through. He had no idea this place was even here! It was so relaxing and peaceful, he could easily tell that you were nothing like other titans, you were way too chill. He did however, enjoying watching you teach Ares how to scuba dive while he sat on the beach with a massive fruity-boozy beverage.
-Ares- Was hesitant and rather distrustful of you, thinking you were an evil titan like all the others. You were very quick to prove him wrong, given them all free reign of the resort, they could eat, drink, and have as much fun as they wanted! Ares, after a bit of goading from Hermes and Zeus, managed to convince him to go scuba diving, but only if you taught him. Ares found the experience different but eye-opening, although he didn’t like his father and half-brother teasing him afterwards.
-Hercules- You two were like you had been separated at birth, almost constantly together, getting along so easily with each other. He loved your resort, especially the options of food available from the six restaurants and nine bars, all with vastly different menus. He also enjoyed exploring through your jungle, seeing the signs you had put out, showing different landmarks. It felt so good to just be able to lay down, bury his feet in the warm sand, and relax the days away.
-Aphrodite- Was in heaven at your resort, taking full advantage of the spas, pools, and drinks offered; she spent her whole time there being pampered and treated like the goddess she was. You were definitely not a threat, despite your lineage, and she will not hesitate to defend her new favorite resort owner from others.

Love That Bites
I’ve been playing Symphony of the Night randomized for months, and rewatching some stuff from the anime, this series has had me in a choke hold. I’ve had a thing for Dracula for Y E A R S and the first season of the anime did not help (Even if I have my gripes with that adaption). Unfortunately, there is very little Dracula x reader content out there, and I can only reread it all so many times. o(TヘTo) I also started writing this a bit before the Dead Cells x Castlevania crossover was announced, so that only fueled my motivation to write this. This series is also going to ignore some stuff in canon like some stuff in Aria and Dawn of Sorrow. Canon is just a sandbox and I’m making a castle. I hope you all enjoy the start of this new series! This is part 1, and is mostly setting up the scene for the story. Hopefully there will be more to come! Apologies if this chapter is a little messy. (❁´◡`❁) Summary: When you decide to take a vacation to get away from a toxic home life, you just expect a few days of relaxation to revitalize yourself. However, you didn’t exactly plan on finding the castle belonging to your family’s arch nemesis. Especially when he should be dead for the next century... CW: Reader is a Belmont, Anxiety and anxiety attacks, brief mentions of past trauma, mentions of toxic home life, increasing stress, death mention, paranoia and confusion, you’re safe though don’t worry. Word Count: 6016 words! First: Here! Next: Link
-----
All you had wanted was a break.
You wanted, no, needed to get away for a week. Simply put, your home-life had become unbearable once again.
Normally, you at least tried to plan ahead when you wanted to take a break away from home, but things had been piling up. You knew if you didn’t get out, you were going to crash and burn again, and that was the last thing you needed as of late.
So early in the morning, before anyone else in your home had awoken, you packed a few small bags, and loaded up your vehicle.
You left a note on your kitchen counter for your relatives, and quickly left. If you thought too much about it, you’d start feeling guilty again, and stay behind.
Thankfully, the quiet car drive had been a welcome one, every mile further away from your home only seemed to lift the stress off of you little by little.
It took a while to get to your destination, but a few hours were nothing to you, considering your profession.
When you have to go on hunts across the country, and occasionally around the world, you learn to get used to the long travel time.
The trip to your current destination had always been worth it, though.
It was a small cabin out in the countryside. Your family had purchased some of the land a few generations ago, and it was a sort of vacation spot, at least until recent years.
Not many family members knew about the property anymore. Your late mother had been one of the few that knew about it, and had still used it. When she was alive, she took you often as a kid to get a break from your training.
You had nothing but fond memories of the place.
The little cabin and surrounding wildlife had become more than just a place with fond memories as of late. It had also become a safe haven.
When things got rough at home, it became a habit to take off to said little safe haven.
So here you were.
The cabin was the same as you had left it, not that it ever changed.
You walked through the overgrowth on the porch, and pushed through the front door. The inside was just as old and dusty as you remembered leaving it a few months ago.
Despite the layer of dust, it still looked well kept and comfortable. Just like you liked it.
Lugging your bags through the entry, you let out a sigh as you made your way through the small cottage. When you entered the living area, you unenthusiastically dropped your bags to the floor, and fell onto the couch with a loud sigh.
You didn’t do anything for a while, simply staring at the ceiling as you sat, your thoughts fast, but your head feeling empty. Overwhelmed, but dissociative.
It was like this every time you came here, but you could finally breathe.
No yelling, no arguing, no working your days away with chores at a house. If you were lucky, there wouldn’t even be hunting involved. Just pure, unbothered peace.
A scoff left your mouth at the thought.
“Some Belmont I am…” You muttered to yourself. What Belmont doesn’t like going hunting? Your aunts and uncles probably still jump at the chance to do so, and your step family would already be out the door with weapons in hand.
You didn’t hate hunting. But nowadays, you were beginning to dread doing it.
Either you were hunting all the time, especially on trips that were long and hard on you, or you were at home, forced to play housekeeper half the time. Anytime there was a hint of a possibility of a monster near your city, your step family took the job. They essentially barred you from doing anything nearby, only having you do the tedious jobs.
As much as you liked traveling, you didn’t like doing it for a hunt that might be a bust half the time. When you arrived at your destination, either the monster was long gone, never existed, or was already killed by a local hunter instead.
It’s become a drain on your personal finances, and a drain on your energy. Especially since you were always ‘expected’ to come right back home. Didn't matter if you were an adult, they needed their precious servant back.
“What a joke…” You huffed, before closing your eyes.
Attempting to relax, you took in the scent of the area, listening to the slight breeze and wildlife from outside.
There was so much going on in your head, but the cabin was already helping, you could tell. Despite your thoughts, your body was already beginning to lose tension.
This was just what you needed.
You waited a few more minutes, taking everything in, before you got to work. Getting up, you grabbed your few bags, and hauled them off into a bedroom. You dropped them on the bed, and moved to the closet, looking for something specific you had left behind years ago.
Opening the closet, you pulled out an old backpack, and brought it to your bed. With memorized ease, you opened your bags, and tossed a few things in.
It’s not like you’d need a lot for a hike. Just a few snacks, some water, and a few weapons just to be safe.
You weren’t exactly afraid of monsters showing up, but being who you were, you couldn't afford to be too careful.
Chances were you’d be fine. Monsters were incredibly rare on this stretch of land, and the wildlife tended to keep to itself.
You paused though when you gripped The Vampire Killer. The whip that had been in your family for centuries.
Would you really need this for a hike to clear your head…?
You stared at it for a moment, battling with yourself in your head. You took it just about everywhere. Not so much for hunting, but so it wouldn’t end up in anyone else's hands.
Eventually, you came to a decision, and placed the whip to the side. The whip was safe here at the cabin, and you had several weapons. It would be fine. You would be fine.
With your mind made, you finished packing your backpack, and slung it over your shoulder, before heading for the front door of the cabin.
The door locked shut behind you, and you set out in a random direction. It was still early in the day, just around noon, you figured you could go out by the mountains. You raised a hand up to the sky, wincing at the light.
“The shade should be perfect to come back this way by 5….” you mumbled, and got to walking.
You wouldn’t be out longer than a few hours. By the time you got back, you could make something light to eat, and catch up on some reading, if you were lucky.
Wandering around, you followed a few paths, before turning around the base of a smaller mountain. You knew the area well, but still enjoyed venturing out and exploring.
Especially as of late, the beauty and nature of the area was an amazing way to clear your head and de-stress.
The walk was nice, and you swore you remember a lake being in the area. If you could find it once again, it would be the perfect place for a picnic.
It had only been an hour of walking when you turned the corner of the base of the mountain, where you normally would have been able to see the lake.
Something felt a little bit off, though. Despite the weather forecast being clear for the day, the sky seemed to be clouding up the further you walked. Then the further you walked, the more on edge you felt. It was as if you were somewhere you weren’t supposed to be.
However, instead of a beautiful lake surrounded by a forest and mountain range, you were met with a sight that made your stomach drop.
Out across the edge of the lake, just past the tree line, was a humongous castle. One you distinctly remember not being there in the first place.
Lightning occasionally flashed around it, and you could hear the thunder in the distance. Despite how dreadful the dark clouds looked above it, the weather almost seemed deadly calm. It faintly reminded you of the eye of a storm.
You felt sweat beginning to form all over you, and you swallowed thickly as you stared at the ominous structure. Your hands shook, and you were finding it hard to stand.
Dracula’s Castle.
There was no doubt about it. You had learned about this castle your whole childhood, and understood what its presence meant.
Sitting down on the grass beneath you, you took a shaky breath. If you stood any longer, you were worried you would faint.
How was this possible? Dracula hadn’t been vanquished for that long…. Right before you had been born, if you remember correctly.
Has someone resurrected him? Or was someone trying to take his power? You had heard of both scenarios happening, and you weren’t sure which one you wanted to be true.
Hell, you knew it was possible for Dracula to be revived just a few years after being defeated, if someone powerful enough wanted to.
But if you were being honest… You hadn’t expected Dracula to be back in your lifetime, or at least in your youth. You had somewhat hoped it wouldn’t be your problem.
You didn’t exactly want the fate of the world resting on your shoulders.
It had been something you had feared since you learned the truth of your lineage. That Dracula may very well come back, and you, or your future kids may need to step up and defeat him. That you might have to be the one to save the world from destruction.
Licking your lips, you tightly gripped a strap from your backpack till your knuckles went white, and looked up at the sky.
“Hey God? Why me?” you asked, genuinely serious.
As expected, you received no answer, just another flash of lightning and clap of thunder in the distance.
Your eyes then landed back on the castle, and you let out a nervous sigh.
You knew you needed to check it out, despite the feeling of dread in your gut.
As you got up though, a sudden thought struck the back of your mind.
The Vampire Killer was back at your cabin, almost an hour away.
Groaning loudly, you couldn’t help but smack your face in frustration.
“Of course! The one time, the one time-! Of all times to have decided not to take the whip with me!” You cursed, frustration building in your chest alongside the anxiety.
Yeah, you could go back to the cabin and go grab it, but that would be wasting possible precious time.
“Okay… So, it’s not the end of the world… Yet… People have defeated Dracula before without the Vampire Killer. Not a big deal.”
It was a big deal, to you at least. This was huge. Dracula could be planning to attack humanity at any moment, and the best weapon against him was sitting snugly on your pillow back at your cabin.
You sighed.
Still, as you watched the castle in the distance, you couldn’t help but notice something odd.
You didn’t see any monsters. Hell, you didn’t see any bodies outside the front of the gate. Didn’t Dracula have monsters all over his castle, inside and out? Not to mention all the stories you had heard, involving impaled corpses that tended to sit outside the castle every other resurrection.
It was quiet.
No monsters. No bodies. No Dracula.
It made you feel sick, like you were waiting for something to attack you from just around the corner.
But the attack had yet to come.
You weighed in your options. Could you really just leave and go back to the cabin? How were you so sure nothing was watching you right now? What if something followed you back, and found your cabin?
Another thought suddenly hit you like a freight train.
Just how long had Dracula’s castle been here?
It has been over a year since you last checked out this lake. The castle was in the perfect place to remain hidden from view at the cabin, being behind a mountain. The castle could have been here this whole time, just an hour away from you, and you were never the wiser.
The very thought sent chills throughout your body. Just how close to death had you been this whole time?
You felt like you were going to hurl.
As much as you want to leave, and puke from the overwhelming emotions, you force yourself to stand your ground.
You had to investigate.
It wasn’t up for debate. As much as you would like to throw excuse after excuse until it was nighttime, you did not have that luxury.
You came to a decision.
The most important thing you could do right now is head into the castle and check things out. You had some weapons on you, so it wasn’t like you were going in defenseless.
If push comes to shove, you could always make a hasty retreat, and head back over to the cabin. There you could grab The Vampire Killer, and return after regaining your strength.
Was it the best plan? No. But right now, any plan was better than nothing.
A thought passed through your mind as you took a step forward.
Should you call for backup?
You had your father and step brothers, and even your uncle and aunt. Quick, you pulled your phone out, only to sigh in frustration.
“No service. Figures.”
You should have guessed. There was just barely usable service at the cabin, why would there be any out here in the wilderness?
Looks like it was all you. No help was coming for you.
If you died… You doubted help would come for you as well. Your family would probably only come looking for your equipment, if anything. The chances of them looking for you, especially here at this lake, were slim. There wasn’t a question in your mind that they would miss the castle.
Just like you had for who knows how long.
Gripping your phone for a moment, you sighed, before shoving it back in your pocket.
Calling was no use. It really was just you against the forces of evil.
“So much for an uneventful, relaxing trip…” You mumbled, and reached into your bag. Pulling out a dagger, you gripped in your hand for a few moments, before finally heading towards the castle.
The walk towards the looming castle wasn’t as long as you had hoped it to be. All the while, it also felt like it lasted an eternity.
Must have been the impending doom and anxiety, which only increased with each step you took.
Why hadn’t you come across any enemies? So far, just like you had seen from afar, there were no monsters.
Even as you quickly approached the gate, you saw no adversaries. No undead armies. No wolf men ready to tear you to shreds.
Just an old, rusted looking gate.
You couldn’t help but wonder, what was Dracula’s game? In nearly every journal you’ve read with family members in the past hunting him down, his castle is filled with enemies of all sorts. Even at the gate, monsters are usually ready to attack.
Yet, it was quiet.
For a few moments, you could only stare. It was now or never, and you couldn’t exactly ignore the fate of the world.
Gently pushing at the massive iron looking gate, you were surprised at how easy the door gave way. It slowly opened with a loud squeak of the hinges, stopping just a few feet forward, waiting for more force to push it forward.
You were a bit dumbstruck.
Was it really that easy? You weren’t going to lie, when you approached the gate, you assumed you may have to find another way in, or some obtuse way of opening it.
Peeking your head in, your eyes widened at just how… empty the courtyard was.
There were a surprising number of plants and trees, sure, but other than that? The only sign of movement there was, was the plants moving from the wind.
It was ominous. The lack of any life, or undead rather, made your hair stand on end.
A low rumble of thunder went off above you, and you looked up at the dark sky. Despite being early in the afternoon, it felt so late with the clouds surrounding the area like this.
It was fitting, you supposed.
Steeling your nerves, you pushed the door open further, and stepped into the courtyard. Each step had you on edge, with you anticipating an attack that never seemed to come.
That didn’t stop you from keeping an eye out though.
Approaching the door to the castle was more or less the same as the gate. Though it wasn’t any less daunting. The doors towered over you all the same, and did nothing to quell your nerves.
“...Should I knock?” You mumbled to yourself, before shaking your head.
“Stupid… It’s a Vampire Lord’s castle, who of which I’m supposed to vanquish. ‘Should I knock…’ what a dumb question.” you grumbled to yourself. Though at this point, it felt like you were stalling.
Taking a deep breath, you pushed the door open, fully expecting an attack.
But once again, you were completely surprised to see an empty entry hall.
“...Now this is definitely weird.” You mumbled, carefully eyeing the long, dimly lit hall.
You pushed past the door, and let out a small squeak as it shut behind you. The grip you had on your dagger tightened, and you shuddered at how the temperature seemed to drop.
It was cold. Unnaturally cold.
The air was stagnant, and hardly cold itself, but something about the area was nearly sapping your warmth. Was it your nerves? Or just some aspect of the castle being supernatural?
Perhaps it was the strange nerve wracking loneliness that seemed to echo with each step down the hall?
Either way, something was not right about the castle, and it wasn’t just the fact it was a being of Chaos.
It was the fact that the further you walked in, you were encountering nothing.
The courtyard and entry all weren’t the only empty areas. The large open room you entered after that had also been empty, along with the hallway and stairway after that.
Not a monster in sight.
There wasn’t even any sign of life in this place. Sure, you hadn’t encountered anything yet, but every room you entered, every hall you cleared…
It was as if nothing was here in the castle.
You weren’t going to lie. You were starting to have doubts about this being Dracula’s castle.
But at the same time, there wasn’t any explanation for this place otherwise.
Not to mention, the air in this place wasn’t normal. There was an underlying power in the air. The same kind that made your hair stand on end. The same kind that made the air feel colder than what it was.
What castle could feel this way, besides Castlevania?
“Still… none of this makes any sense…” you mumbled to yourself as you cleared another empty room. At this point, you were both extremely nervous, and incredibly frustrated.
You had combed through several parts of the castle at this point. It was getting late, and you were getting nowhere. Already you had been through what looked like an art gallery, passed by a library, and pressed on through a giant dining hall.
As you neared another set of stairs, you could only run a hand through your hair in irritation and stress.
Despite how much ground you have covered, you found no sign of this place being lived in. You only had so much daylight left, and you were beginning to feel like you were investigating a weird, lost cause.
Still, you persevered. If there was a throne room, you at least wanted to check it out. If you didn’t find anything, you would come back another day more thoroughly prepared.
And if you found something? Well…
You could hope for the best. Maybe if Dracula is there, he would be weak? It would make sense, given the lack of life and monsters in the castle. If he was weak, you wouldn’t have to worry about not having your whip, you hoped.
If not… Well, you could run away. Despite the lack of weapons on you, you still had a few tricks up your sleeve. You didn’t live this long as a monster hunter without learning a few ways to give yourself a back door for a fast escape.
Thankfully, it wasn’t too hard to figure out where the throne room was. It tended to be high up in the castle in nearly every iteration your ancestors talked about in journals.
Still, as you came across a final staircase leading up to a separate tower of the castle, you couldn’t help but be more on edge than ever before. The clouds circled above you, occasionally cracking off lightning and thunder uncomfortably close by.
“It really feels like I’m about to be in some final showdown from a movie…” You mumbled as you approached the door, your dread pooling in your gut.
However, much like the growing trend of this castle, you noticed something odd.
The door to the throne room was open, and creaked on its hinges. It was as if it was half hazardly pushed away by someone running out the room.
You briefly wondered if that was a bad sign or not.
Going against the little voice in your head telling you to turn back, you pushed past the door and walked in.
The first thing you took note of, despite the poor lighting from outside, you could see just how huge the room was. You could easily imagine it being big enough for a battle, or a council meeting.
Then there were the giant windows that occasionally lit up the room whenever lightning strikes. Some were even open, clacking open and closed from the wind outside, said wind occasionally pushing the curtains back every so often.
It certainly added to the creepy atmosphere.
Finally, there were the two most glaringly obvious parts of the throne room. The giant throne on top of a set of stairs, and what looked to be a statue kneeling in front of it.
You could only stare in silence. The tension you felt in the air was so thick, you felt it could snap at any moment like a stretched out rubber band.
Your curiosity pushed over your fear, and you found yourself walking forward. Each footstep echoing through the chamber, the sounds of your steps bouncing off the walls.
Coming to a stop a few feet away from the throne and the statue, you couldn’t help but feel… odd at the sight. A mixture of fear, dread, curiosity and intrigue turned in your gut as you stared down the statue.
It was Dracula.
Or at least… You thought it was Dracula.
The statue was big, despite the figure kneeling on one knee in what looked like pain or exhaustion. A hand gripping his gut, while another reached forward, clawed fingers pointing towards you. A cloak seemed to wrap around his body, but it hardly hid his large form.
The head was… a lot of things.
His face was hauntingly beautiful, much like you had come to expect from vampires. What was his hair seemed to beautifully frame his face, with his mustache and beard only adding to the charm.
However, under the beauty, you could see traces of what he really was. A monster.
Despite his handsome features, his face was contorted in what looked like a pained snarl. His fangs were bursting forth, large and ready to pierce.
And his eyes… His eyes were wide open, the whites a darker shade than the iris, which only added to his supernatural and inhuman look.
The room was silent, and you felt your blood run cold, despite the sweat on your skin.
It was Dracula, no doubt about it, but…
Why was he a statue?
Tentatively, you took a few steps forward, but still kept your distance.
You studied the statue a bit more, rounding it cautiously. After a few moments, you carefully stepped forward, and poked the shoulder, before jumping backwards.
Pure stone.
Your hands fell to your sides. It really was just a statue.
“Unbelievable.” You mumbled, confusion and disbelief clear in your voice.
Just what was going on? The castle was here, so in theory, so should Dracula. Not a statue of the guy.
“Unless…” You murmured, putting a hand along your chin in thought.
Dracula being turned to stone somehow… Perhaps that was the reason the castle was like this?
It made sense, the more you thought about it.
“It’s as if the whole castle is asleep…”
If Dracula was technically alive, but out of commission, then it would make sense. Though if you were being honest with yourself, you were still surprised you weren’t seeing some of his more powerful supporters. Surely you would have at least seen Death by now?
The deity was loyal to its master, appearing even when Dracula had not always been in control. So where was Death, or any other powerful monsters that no doubt would support the Lord?
Perhaps being petrified like this, also cut ties with his presence to those powerful monsters? He simply seemed asleep to them, or not fully revived. If he wasn’t fully around, or at least enough for any of his powerful generals to sense him, they simply did not know he was here.
Other than that, it was the only explanation you had.
It still made you nervous and uncomfortable though.
You continued to eye the statue. Was Dracula dead, or was he aware? What had happened to lead to this?
Thinking hard, you tried to remember everything your mother had told you about the last time Dracula had appeared. It was a long time ago, and your mother had only heard about what had happened from another family member.
Didn’t she mention that the Belmont who defeated Dracula last say something about a curse?
You cursed your poor memory, which had been worsening with your own health as of late. Shaking your head with a sigh, your frown deepened.
Still, even if you didn’t know all the details, this could easily have something to do with said curse you were briefly told about all those years ago.
Biting your lip, you placed your hands on your hips, unsure what to do, or where to go from here.
Obviously no one was in danger at the moment, even if you still felt on edge. Dracula was very much contained here in the castle.
But that left you with a bunch of different thoughts rushing through your mind.
You couldn’t really ask for a better spot for the castle to be, if you were being honest. It was hidden, right along private property. Chances of civilians finding it were slim. The less innocent lives you had to worry about, even if it was idiots trespassing, the better.
Then there was how to deal with the problem at hand. What do you do with the statue and the castle? You couldn’t just leave Dracula here could you?
“If I had only brought the Vampire Killer…” You mumbled under your breath, nails digging into your palms.
The whip was ancient, but incredibly powerful. It was strong enough to break down stone. You could finish the job tonight, if you wanted to make the trek…
But would that be wise?
…Did you even have much of a choice?
It’s not like you can actually do anything right now, anyway. Your dagger and other weapons can’t cut through stone. Not like your whip could. You would be here for hours.
You let out a sigh and rubbed your temples, exhaustion creeping up on you. Sure, you hadn’t fought anything, but this whole ordeal was adding onto your already existing stress.
Running a hand through your hair, and looking out a nearby window, another thought ran through your mind.
What if you revived him by destroying the stone? Even if he was cursed, you weren’t aware of the specifics, and you didn’t want to be the one to accidentally doom the world by trying to ‘save’ it.
Feeling your hair stand on end again, you quickly glanced back at the statue. Even if he was on his knees, he was still level height with you.
And it felt like he was looking right at you.
The thought made you very anxious. Was he alive? Or even aware you were standing right in front of him? A Belmont, debating on how to end his life?
Suddenly, the very thought made your stomach sour.
“I… Need to go. I need to leave.” You said, finally making a decision. You needed to get away from here.
You were not equipped to handle this.
A fight to save the world? Sure, you could improvise.
But whatever was happening here? No. No way.
Despite your conscious telling you to stay and deal with the problem, you tentatively took a step backwards. Then another. And another.
Your eyes stayed on the statue until you reached the door, and you quickly turned and left, shutting the large door behind you.
It didn’t take you long to hightail it outta of the castle. The main layout you had passed was burned in your mind, and made it easier to run through.
Though it wasn’t until you were out of the castle, did you feel like a weight had been lifted off your chest. The moment you passed through those large, ominous doors and into the courtyard, it was as if you could breathe again.
You didn’t wait to catch your breath.
Running through the courtyard, you sprinted out past the rusted gate, not stopping until you were long past the lake that sat in front of the castle.
Finally, when you reached the spot where you had first noticed the castle, you came to an abrupt halt. Panting, you turned around, and eyed the ominous structure.
It was late now, the sun had been setting for a while. However, that didn’t hide the castle from your sight. The dark clouds still hovered above, with lightning and thunder striking every so often.
You still couldn’t believe it. Dracula’s castle was here, for who knows how long.
And you were going to have to destroy it somehow.
“Lucky me…” You mumbled.
Taking one last look, you anxiously made your way back to your cabin.
The walk back, which normally would have been peaceful and relaxing, was nothing but a stressful venture for you. Sure, the castle seemed empty, and you could no longer sense it the further you walked. However, that didn’t mean you were safe.
For all you knew, you were being followed by an army of hell, just waiting to ambush you.
That… didn’t really put you at ease, even as you approached your cabin.
Cautiously, you opened the door. With your weapon ready, you made a quick search of your small home.
Thankfully, no one but you seemed to be here. You weren’t sure if that relieved you, or made your anxiety worse.
You decided to take it as a blessing.
Still, you didn’t rest. It was too late to drive back, nor did you want to just leave, knowing the castle was right there, just an hour away by foot.
Biting your lip, you eyed the Vampire Killer, which was still sitting innocently on your bed. You could practically hear it in your mind to pick it up and head back to the castle. ‘Use me! Use me! Finish the job!’
As much as you wanted to, you felt a sick feeling in your stomach. Something wasn’t right, and you knew it. You just needed to figure out what it was, before you made any hasty decisions.
One wrong move, and you could not only revive your family’s immortal enemy, but also potentially doom the world if you fail at killing him. This was something where you had to tread lightly, lest you make a horrible, world ending decision.
No pressure.
You stood next to the bed for a few minutes. It felt as if your mind was racing, but you felt unable to think at all.
With a sigh, you made up your mind. Grabbing your whip and a bag, you headed to the backdoor. You wouldn’t be hunting Dracula tonight, no, but you still had to ensure your safety.
Starting with some protective measures.
Thankfully, throughout the generations, your family came up with many different ways to ward off monsters and vampires from properties. If you wanted any sleep tonight, you would have to put some of these in place, at least for your peace of mind. It wasn’t something that would take too long, but better safe than sorry.
Even if you hadn’t seen a single monster, you weren’t going to risk your life by making assumptions. It was small mistakes that got hunters killed, and you weren’t going to join their numbers.
Setting up a few traps and enchantments took longer than you would have liked, but you weren’t going to take any chances. Your cabin already had some traps in place, but renewing everything wasn’t going to hurt anyone, let alone you.
When you finally sat down on your bed, you rolled onto your back, and blankly stared at your ceiling. The Vampire Killer in your hand tightly.
“What now?” you asked yourself.
The answer seemed simple. Sleep, wake up, and take care of the problem.
It wasn’t that simple though. You already had fought yourself about this for hours. Did you really need to now, right before bed?
You turned your head to the side, seeing your phone charging on your nightstand.
“I could call for assistance…” you said, toying with the idea in your head. But did you really want to invite that mess here? With how reckless your family at home was, you didn’t think it was a good idea.
Then there was the fact they would find this place. Your little sanctuary away from them. They would never give you peace if they found this place. In fact, you were sure your father would tear it down, or claim it was his, since he was the beneficiary after your mother passed.
They would never let you have anything like this. You knew they already had tried multiple times to find where you go when you disappear, you weren’t going to give them that luxury.
Most of all, you weren’t going to give them the last thing left untouched that had been your mother’s.
You could call your other family, such as your uncle, but you shot idea that down. You hadn’t really talked to your aunt or uncle in years since your father took over everything. For all you knew, their numbers had been changed again. As much as they’d probably like to know what was going on, you felt a bitterness in your gut.
As much as you loved your aunt and uncle, they hadn’t so much bothered calling or texting you these past few years. Why would they help you now? Maybe for some glory? ‘To keep humanity safe?’ When they haven’t even helped out family?
You snorted. No thanks.
Besides, it would no doubt take them hours to get here, and they’d probably tell your father about this place against your wishes. Something about wanting all ‘Belmonts’ on deck. Bah.
Turning onto your side, you reached over and turned the lamp on your side table off.
You could think more on this tomorrow.

Óen (Part 1)
Tumblr media
Okay, I've been egged on repeatedly by the wonderful @idontknowreallywhy to have a go at this, but I'm a little nervous cos I've never written any HTTYD fanfic ever and am a bit short on the canon in my head, so be kind as I make up a pile of stuff as I go along.
This is a Thunderbirds Are Go and How to Train Your Dragon crossover and I'm chewing fingernails..
Many thanks to both @onereyofstarlight and @idontknowreallywhy for their support in this insanity.
This little bit is just set up so don't expect much, but I hope you enjoy it. My apologies to Toothless.
-o-o-o-
Hiccup Haddock III was an idiot.
Toothless, the midnight black night fury he was currently clinging to, no doubt agreed.
“I’m sorry, bud, you were right. We should have gone back earlier.” The words were whipped from his mouth by the raging winds, but as always, Toothless heard him regardless.
A deep rumble in the dragon’s throat, vibrating against Hiccup’s thighs, indicated agreement on all fronts.
Hiccup should have known better. He’d seen the signs of changing weather but had ignored them, convincing himself they had a few moments longer. Unfortunately, said weather had disagreed and whipped up one of those sudden storms that had Berk locked down and huddled away.
Except Hiccup and Toothless were in the middle of the ocean with no protection.
He grit his teeth against the wind, desperately attempting to help Toothless manage their flight. At first, he had tried for home, his dragon friend whacking him with an ear flap in annoyance…always listen to your dragon…but the conditions had changed so abruptly for the worse, that now it was a case of desperately trying to keep aloft and not slammed into the ocean.
They had tried for height, Toothless as always knowing exactly how high they were, in an attempt to get above the storm. But the thunderheads went on forever and they reached as high as Hiccup could go - Toothless could always go higher, but he didn’t seem inclined to do it carrying a frozen friend on his back.
Toothless snarled and then attempted speed, trying to get out of the squall. But Thor had other ideas and along with several lightning strikes that had Hiccup’s hair standing on end, despite the wind and now the sleet, it soon became a struggle to stay in the sky at all, much less attain any directional speed.
And now they were in trouble.
Astrid was going to kill him if he managed to ever see her again.
Dad…
Dad, as always was the reason he was out here in the first place. Just another day where father and son just couldn’t see eye to eye. Another day that found Hiccup fleeing on Toothless and no doubt Stoick the Vast ranting in the smithy with Gobber.
Ice bit into his skin.
Beneath him, Toothless growled in alarm as they were suddenly swept sideways and down.
“Toothless!”
His friend’s wings struggled against the gale, but were snapped back, his growl turning into a wail of pain.
The wind took them and Hiccup could do little but cling to Toothless as they were swept into a dark and violent maelstrom.
-o-o-o-
It was all sensation after that. Toothless fighting beneath him. Pain. Freezing everything.
Screaming darkness.
This was it. His own stupidity, not listening to his dragon, and forever being fearful of his father and the future. It all had finally done him in.
Hiccup the Idiot.
Saved Berk, but was too stupid to save himself.
A sudden yank upwards against the wind startled him. But before he could react something grabbed him.
What?!
He was lifted from Toothless. A tug as his safety line pulled then fell slack as if snapped. No!
NO!
He struggled but it was too dark and whatever had him, had a solid grip. “Toothless!”
The wind raged but he wasn’t falling. He attempted to fight himself free, but his arms were pinned to his sides and he couldn’t…
“Toothless!”
The wind whipped the name from his mouth.
Toothless was gone. He had to be. His dragon couldn’t fly without him. His thoughts swirled like the wind battering his senses and he clenched his eyes shut in grief. Toothless!
“You’re going to be okay.”
The words were heavily accented and heard mostly through whatever he was held against, and he only heard them because the winds were dying.
The winds were dying.
Hiccup flung his eyes open. He was flying. But not on Toothless. His heart lurched.
He was on another dragon, black and silver danced beneath a dark grey sky. In the distance the sun managed to peek through over a bunch of islands fading into the grey sea.
“Toothless!”
“Óen has your dragon. Don’t be worried.” There was such surety in that voice, Hiccup had to believe.
“Who?”
“Scott o’ Clan O’Treasaigh and Óen. We’re here to rescue you.”

Do you also do Pokémon? Pokémon crossover? Because I got a request that involves the obey me boys react to mc who’s a trainer from the Pokémonverse who got summoned to Devildom with their Pokémon in tow. Mc could be a 10 year old kid if you want, because I kinda want to see the brothers react when this 10 year old human child tells them the story of how they ending up toe to toe with a terrorist group from their region with their Pokémon and saved the world in the process.
Everyone, join me in our national anthem. POKEMON! GOTTA CATCH THEM ALL!!!
This is platonic, obviously
Also, check out @reiketsunomizunomegami and their art. Beautiful, truly.
Tumblr media
Lucifer
He knew Diavolo wanted exchange students from both realms, but he didn’t expect an angel and a human who looked like they were just learning their ABC’s. This is where he draws the line. How can a 10 year old human academically keep up with demons who have been around for many millennia?
The short answer is: you can’t. It’s quite literally impossible, okay? So they set up different courses that are more simple so that you can get a better grasp on the lessons. After all, if you’re going to be staying here, you need to understand magic.
Lucifer most definitely takes you in as a younger sibling. It’s not his first rodeo, after all. Plus, he’s intrigued as to why the system chose you out of every other human besides Solomon. Because you’re 10 and don’t know much about what should probably be kept a secret, you tell him all about your home in Pallet Town.
When y’all first met, he noticed the red and white spheres you kept on your person. He also noticed that there was one particular familiar that followed you around. He asked you about it and told him that it was your Pokémon and the spheres held other Pokémon that you use in battle.
He’s intrigued because this seems like it’s straight out of a show for kids. He has to explain that there are no Pokémon in the Devildom, but you don’t care. Lucifer’s glad that you can defend yourself to some degree. You then tell him about the run-ins you’ve had with Team Rocket and he is immediately concerned. Grown ass adults are stealing the Pokémon of literal children?? May God forgive them, because he won’t.
Tumblr media
Mammon
I’ve seen the headcanons where this guy is a sucker for kids, so I’m putting this into play. Older brother Mammon, I choose you! He sees you overwhelmed and gets down to your level to try and calm you down.
He will be the one to give you a tour around RAD and introduce you to his brothers. Most of the time, he has you on his shoulders so that it’s a bit of a better experience for you. He knows that the little things matter in situations like this.
Mammon takes his role as your protector very seriously. He will gladly throw hands with his own brothers if they mess with you. It’s amusing to you because he will always act so tough when in reality he’s a huge softie.
On one of your shopping trips (he most definitely spoils you), he notices your satchel and asks you about it. You pull out one of the Pokeballs and throw it, shouting Shedinja, I choose you! He let out an audible yelp when he saw a cicada looking animal come out of the ball. It was your weakest Pokémon, so you chose that one.
You explain more about your home region and how Pokémon are the norm just like demons are here. Pokémon are used in battle so that the Trainer can move up through the ranks. You also told him about Team Rocket and how they try to steal rare and powerful Pokémon, like your dear friend’s Pikachu.
Tumblr media
Leviathan
At first, he wants nothing to do with you. Children are loud and irritating, so he tries to steer clear. That is until Lucifer forces him to interact with you. Then he realizes that your situation is a lot like the anime in his favorite genre: isekai.
He feels bad that you are a literal 10 year old child in Hell. Not just that, but there really isn’t an elementary course at RAD. Did Diavolo do any calculations right when he was selecting the exchange students?
Eventually, Leviathan warms up to you. Whenever you come to his room to hangout or for him to babysit you, he has snacks and juice for you. You both have a blast just playing some kid-friendly games while listening to some anime intros.
During one of these babysitting adventures, he asks you about the spheres you keep checking up on. He’s seen something similar in a children’s anime, but he just wanted to make sure. You happily explained what Pokémon are and how they are utilized in battle. He was surprised about the battle part because these fights could potentially be life-threatening with the abilities of the Pokémon.
You go on and give an example of such a battle, more specifically the ones where you were going against Team Rocket. He definitely felt anger bubble up when you told him about how they tried to steal you and your friend Ash’s Pokémon on many different occasions. He was very mad, now. How could grown adults have the audacity to steal Pokémon?!
Tumblr media
Satan
Found you quite intriguing, and amusing because it’s not everyday that you see a 10 year old human in the Devildom. He already has so many plans to prank Lucifer, and you are gonna be the bait in the situation… with your consent obviously.
He does feel genuinely sorry because you are a 10 year old human in hell. You had a pure soul as well, so that made things way worse. On his worst days he feels the temptation, so he can’t imagine how scared you must be.
He will always invite you into his room to read. If you need it, he’ll even read you a bedtime story to help you sleep. It’s adorable and flattering that you trust him at your most vulnerable state. It makes him realize that he is so much more than just Wrath.
He does notice the spheres you keep in your room. He’s asked you about them a few times, but the one time you give him an actual answer you tell him that they are your Pokémon. He just stands there until you go more in depth. You tell him about the battles you constantly go through just to become the Champion of all the regions and he is astonished.
You also go further and tell him about Team Rocket and how they constantly go after you and your friend Ash whenever you’re on your way to another Gym Trainer. Satan was unbelievably angry that you had to go through something like that at such a young age. How dare they try and hurt you?! They will be personally answering to Lord Diavolo as well as the Avatars of Sin.
Tumblr media
Asmodeus
Oh, you’re so adorable to him~ He will absolutely try to steal you away from the idiotic brother that Mammon is because you don’t need to be influenced by him. Instead, come hang out with big brother Asmo!
He would gladly listen to any issues you need to rant to him about because he knows all about bottling up emotions and how it takes a toll. It’s better not to start that habit. He will have tissues on hand as he wipes away your tears.
He would absolutely love dressing you up! The first part of feeling good is looking good, or at least that’s how he lives his life. He would give you trendy outfits (that you are comfortable with) and he would definitely take you out shopping.
At one point, a demon child was taunting you for being human and being weak, so you brought out your Pokémon. You had a full on battle with this kid and one. Asmo knows he shouldn’t be condoning this behavior, but damn did he feel proud. But wait, you never told him about your Pokémon.
You tell him how you managed to befriend each and everyone one that was in the pokeballs you had and how you teamed up with Ash Ketchum to help each other get stronger. While going off on a tangent, you let out your stories with Team Rocket and Asmo is very close to dialing up God and telling Him that His creation malfunctioned again.
Tumblr media
Beelzebub
He most definitely loves you like a younger sibling. I feel like he would be great with kids, and we can see that with how he treats Luke. You both share an unbreakable bond and it’s only been 5 minutes since you appeared.
He’s always happy to see you in the stands whenever he has a game. Sure, there are a bunch of other people and maybe a few cheerleaders, but it doesn’t stop him from always looking for you and the bright smile you always have when cheering him on.
He’s the type to always bring you to the kitchen to get some snacks and jokingly ask you to keep it a secret between just the two of you. He would also wipe some whipped cream on your nose to get you to laugh.
It was during one of these midnight kitchen raids where you told him about your life back in the Human Realm. You showed him one of the Pokeballs that you keep with you in case you were attacked and told him the story of befriending it and having it join your team.
He asks you if you’ve ever had to use your Pokémon in battle and you nod your head, telling him about Team Rocket. You’ve never seen such an angry face, but as you go on about all the crap they put you through, his face gets angrier and angrier. He wants so bad to go to the Human Realm and beat those guys to a pulp, but he knows that it would cause you a lot of stress if he did. You are his first priority.

Belphegor
Even though he is portrayed as mean and murderous, he still has a heart. You are a child, and so were they at one point. He’d act indifferent towards you. He doesn’t hate you, but that doesn’t mean you’re his favorite person in the whole world.
He has never seen a child so down to nap, though. Half the time when you’re not at school, you’re asleep. Now you’re speaking his language, Y/N! He will make sure that you don’t get cold by covering you with a blanket.
He does warm up to you and will eventually ask if you want to use his pillow sometimes. This is a very high honor, Y/N. Don’t mess this up, because he’s letting you use his most prized and valued possession.
During one of these napping sessions, he can feel you moving around a lot. He uses his power to see your dream and he sees you with a bunch of animal-looking things going against a lady with pink hair, a guy with purple hair, and a talking cat.
He wakes you up and asks about it. You explain that it was a nightmare of one of your many battles against Team Rocket because they stumbled across you and your friend. They saw how powerful your friend’s Pikachu was and decided to attack the both of you. As you went on, Belphie pulled you close and slowly lulled you back to sleep using his powers. He told Lucifer about it (which means he’s very serious), and went right back to the spot next to you to watch over you in case you had another nightmare.

Statement of Timothy Rand
I’m definitely not done with it (and still gotta go through and edit what I do have) but if people want to see the start of it here’s the beginning part of the tma/bitb crossover I was thinking about. The premise is Rand is giving a statement about the events that happened in Galloway, but he did lose his sanity so things are a little Funky for him. It’s written in transcript style so there’s lines for him and then stage directions for background noise and some movement, anywho ramble over lol if y’all want to read it’s below the cut!
Statement of Timothy Rand regarding his experience with The Hive in Galloway, Louisiana.
[Click of a tape recorder, can hear the whirring of the tape throughout the following. Otherwise it is a quiet room. There is a sigh from the person in the room.]
Rand: So just, talk into this thing? Ok, guess that’ll work…Fuck, man, how do I even start? Uh, I guess it started with my sister, Rachel. She was always the best of us. Shining star. You know she could’ve been something. Done something good? Man, I don’t know. She was kind though. A pain in my ass, but she had a kind heart. God knows if I was the one that went missing instead of her then maybe this all wouldn’t have happened. I mean, would anyone even notice a burnt out loser like me going missing? Probably not. If they did, they would’ve said “it was only a matter of time” or some bullshit like that. But no, Rachel went missing and I was the one that never left. At least that's what John kept saying. Maybe if Rachel was around she could’ve done something more to fix everything before it led to…well all that. But, can’t change what happened. Even though it was my fault that she never made it home, I should’ve been there for her, I should’ve—fuck.
[Sound of rustling, pulling out a cigarette, and a lighter flicks open to light it. Lighter and pack can be heard being stuffed back into his pocket and there’s the sound of a cigarette burning followed by some coughing before it eases. He takes a couple drags from the cigarette which can be heard throughout the following. The tape whirs on.]
Rand: My sister went missing and then things were never the same. John was at work all hours, Ma tried her best, she really did, but I certainly didn’t make it easy for her. Then Kian and Rolan left town. After graduation, they couldn’t stay or whatever. Fuck if I know. Kian had a plan to become a big time rockstar, travel the world, perform in big ole Hollywood. He was always larger than life like that. Talking about his big plans and dreams. Never really expected him to ever come back.
[Rand pauses, takes another drag from the cigarette. There is some static noise in the background that slowly grows, nothing distracting, but it’s definitely there. The tapes whirs on. The following is said quieter.]
Rand: Rolan fucked off to Chicago and became a hotshot lawyer…he didn’t come home for ten years. I never saw him until they both came back to town. Surprised they even agreed to it.
[Rand scoffs, clears his throat, and continues. The static is more present. The tape whirs on.]
