Hi, sorry to bother you but that sphinx art is so lovely, would you let me get a tattoo of it? It wouldn't happen for a minute and I'd also be able to pay you for it if you have a price in mind. If you'd rather not that's okay too, it's just such a lovely piece
Yeah, sure go for it. All I ask is that you let me know how the tattoo turns out and that you point people my way if they ask. :>

WORDLESS #5 ★ masterlist.
pairing: levi x reader
genre: sugar daddy & contract killer au | warnings: implied violence, establishing feelings, mentions/references to john wick & the continental | wc: 6.8k
note: who expected me to actually finish this? (answer: no one) i'm so glad that i got to finish "wordless" and put these two losers in a place they deserve to be in! this chapter is the finale and also almost entirely from levi's pov, and this one flows in a chronological order :)
★ ch1. ch2. ch3. ch4. ch5
⏤ Sometimes, saying “I love you” is inappropriate, and given your circumstances, you think it might send Levi over the edge if he hears them again. But maybe he's ready now.
Tumblr media
(41) Giving them space when they express wanting to have some time alone.
It’s been a hot second since Levi saw you — and it’s killing him more than he’d care to admit.
Since the blow up in the shower over girls he wasn’t fucking in the first place, Levi hasn’t heard from you, and he hasn’t made much of an effort to reach out either.
Why did he even lie? There was no benefit from telling you he was seeing other girls; the only reason he said that so often was to manage the healthy boundaries between you, to remind you not to get too close, to remind himself that being with you is a risk.
Not that pushing you away has made his life any easier. On the contrary, he thinks it’s made everything worse.
It is almost dehumanising to admit it to himself, but he misses you. Since your rather unconventional first meet — which was a far cry from any ‘meet cute’ that normal situationships had — Levi has been telling himself that the circumstances surrounding you being in his life were unique at best, and that you weren’t permanent.
But now, he lives his life around a ghost of your body, making room for you in his home, making time out of his schedule, making arrangements to keep you happy.
Okay. Maybe it’s a little bit too late to acknowledge the feelings he has for you. Levi knows they’re there — he’s not an idiot. But making those feelings real is something he just can’t afford to do. Not yet. Not while there’s too much going on in his life.
Still, he stares longingly at the door every night when he staggers back home, as if hoping you might take him by surprise and crawl back into his arms. Not that you do, at least not for a while; not until Levi grows fed up of waiting and finds you first.
But for now, he’ll grant you he space that you need, the space you deserve. And in the meantime, he’ll try and make peace with the waging war in his head.
Tumblr media
(42) Holding their hand while walking, even if there isn’t a crowd.
“This is nice.”
The neighbourhood Levi now lives in is much smaller than the last one. It pales in comparison to the condo it took forever to finally move out of, but having consistent security breaches just for a tiring view of the river didn’t feel worth it for Levi anymore. It made no difference to him if the apartment he all but owns for you is much farther away — you’re barely ever there, anyway.
Since putting his angst to rest, and since making it known to you that you’re quite literally the only woman he likes enough to keep buying houses for and invite over, things have been calm between you.
There’s still a strange unspoken thing, the remains of an agreement made out of convenience so long ago, to feed both the lust and pride Levi wanted and the safety you craved; but in general, Levi acknowledges that what he has with you right now feels like the closest thing he’s had to a partner in a long, long time.
Levi looks over at you, feeling your hand tighten in his as you cross a cute little park covered in flowery bushes and beds of tulips.
“I’m glad my neighbourhood has your stamp of approval,” he replies, tightening his fingers around yours before pulling up slightly to stuff your joined hands into his pocket. Though it’s spring now, there’s still a bite in the air, a chill that Levi is determined to shelter you from.
“Technically,” you start, and Levi can predict, like a robot, what you’ll say next, and mouths the words as they fall from your lips, “it’s mine, too.” Your eyes turn piercing as you scowl at him, “Hey! Don’t…predictive text me.”
“Then stop being so predictable.”
“I think we spend too much time together,” you mutter, looking back at the flowerbed you’re currently passing by.
Levi scoffs to himself and playfully scratches a nail against the hand lodged in his pocket.
“Then go away,” he says. No chance, is what runs through his head, and the coy smile you flash him is as equally predictable as the word he knows you’ll say next, starting with n and ending in o.
Tumblr media
(43) Holding shopping bags that are too heavy for them.
Ever since Levi figured out how to share locations, he’s become obsessed with watching you move around on the map on his phone. Numerous times, he’s slipped up on spending hours watching your little circle move, sometimes not even moving at all.
If you had any complaints, he hasn’t heard them, though he very much doubts that you’ll complain in the future now that his stalking has worked out in your favour.
You might have initially thought that bumping into Levi outside the supermarket was a rather delightful coincidence — that was until he moved across the city, and has no real business in your area unless it concerns you.
“Perfect timing,” you say once you see him crossing the small car park in your direction. He has half a mind to pretend he hasn’t seen you and keep walking, but watching you struggle with your shopping is painful enough.
He grunts, reaching for the bag that is squeezing the blood from your fingers. “Don’t get proud about it.”
Sniggering, you happily let Levi grab the overweight bags and fall into an even step beside him.
“Why do you have so much stuff?” Levi huffs. To be fair, the bags aren’t that heavy, but he can’t see any reason for you to have bought so much considering you live at his house more often than you do your own. “You gonna share this shit?”
“If you want,” you reply. “You paid for it.”
His tongue clicks. Levi hasn’t paid you a penny since he last felt guilty about the fact he rarely paid you, despite that being the very foundation of your relationship in the first place, but even with what he paid you and hasn’t since that point, he knows your bank account is more than comfortable. Paying for all of this has barely made a dent, but that’s what the money’s there for.
He makes his way to his car pulled up outside the car park turning in a layby and struggles in his pocket for his keys.
“I live five minutes away,” you remind him, steps slowing.
“No, you just said you’d share it, so we're going to mine.”
With a sigh, you’re left with no other choice but to follow him to his car. “You know, the romance of you carrying my bags is lost now you’ve only walked it to the car.”
Before he pops open the boot of the car, he turns to you and sneers, “You want me to walk back and let you do it yourself?”
There’s no argument to be had. You get into the car.
Tumblr media
(44) Standing between them and a busy road.
Habits. Levi hates to keep track of how many he’s developed since you entered his life almost two years ago. Time has gone by so quickly since the day he first met you, in the worst way possible, but since then, he’s transformed into a whole new person, a whole new paranoid man who overthinks everything because there’s no other option.
His habits as of late include worrying about you whenever you’re not around — whenever he’s at work, he’ll think of you. Whenever he’s in a different city or country, Levi will obsessively worry over what you might be doing, who might be on your trail, scenting your every move while you’re vulnerable. Another habit includes feeling like an overbearing parent even when he’s in the same five mile radius, but at least he’s self aware of it.
If you’ve noticed Levi becoming more clingy, less like who he swore he’d never change from, you haven’t mentioned it yet. Perhaps a small mercy to save him the mortifying task of admitting that he has feelings stored away for you.
Today, Levi has fallen victim to his habits of worry and has walked himself all the way to your university just to walk you all the way back home. His home, not yours. In a sense, your home, too. In an unspoken way.
Levi stands waiting for you in the overhang, gaze trained on the thick grey sky until he hears your class file out of the building in a chatter. Sasha is who he sees first, followed by another one of your friends he’s never met but has seen on Instagram once or twice, and then he sees you, looking thankfully in good spirits, and all too beautiful for your own good.
When you see him standing with his hands in his pockets, he allows himself the pleasure of pride when you break away from your friends just to join him, the smile on your face so genuine and radiant that he has to scoff in amusement.
“Hey, you,” you call, falling into his arms.
“Hey, yourself.”
“I didn’t know you were coming today,” you confess, pulling away to stare curiously at his withdrawn expression. Levi is already twisting an arm around your waist to walk you down the step and across the lawn. “I told Sasha I’d go to her café and wait for her shift to end. Didn’t you have that thing today?”
“What thing?” he mutters.
“The thing with Erwin. And some deadbeat called George, or something.”
“How many Korean men do you know named George?” Levi deadpans, though his arm does tighten around you in caution. “You shouldn’t even know about that. How do you even know?”
The busy road widens into view as you leave the closed campus. Levi’s pretty much counting the days before you graduate and never have to come here again, and the time is passing strangely slow in that department. It feels like it’s been ages since you enrolled, and he wants nothing more than for you to leave and become the greatest journalist in the world — or whatever it is you even want to do when you’re done.
As you walk, you lean into Levi’s side, furthering the distance between yourself and the road bustling with cars and buses. He frowns.
One of your habits since the accident on the bridge with your family had been to avoid busy roads, as if convinced something might happen again. You’ve told him numerous times that it’s irrational, but Levi doesn’t think so. It’s a very normal thing to feel afraid of everything, even when those things are a little on the unrealistic side.
Naturally, it results in Levi sliding his arm from around your waist and replacing it with his other one, positioning himself between you and the chaotic lines of commuting cars going home.
His heart flips when you smile at him for it, linking your arm around his while moving your waist out of his grip. Levi tries not to let it get to his head how much you trust him, how much he cares for you. But by the minute, he’s losing the will to keep it hidden.
Tumblr media
(45) Rubbing the back of their hand with a thumb.
Back to habits, there are some that Levi has that he’s not particularly as proud of. But, as expected, you’re as good as it gets, and any habit he thinks he might have gotten away with hiding, somehow you pick up on it.
Levi flicks through a blueprint laying flat over his kitchen table, his hands nervously drumming the edge of the tabletop as he tries to memorise the elaborate labyrinth of a building he’ll be breaking into later to find his next hit. Usually, Levi has you at his home before and just after taking a job, just to eliminate the threat of you being hurt as a punishment.
He wishes that the company gave you unrestricted entry and protection without him being there to clear it, but in order for that privilege, Levi needed to address you as his partner, which just felt like an even larger target on your head. So, he settles for his home, though the worry does not cease.
This building is riddled with passageways and vaults, basement levels with so many access points that studying them feels intense. One wrong recollection could come at the cost of his life, and at the minute, his life has increased in value. Things are finally going right for him, it would be a shame to have it all taken away from him again.
A text from Erwin sounds next to him, and Levi all but glances at the screen to see what’s happening. All assistance available should he need it — he almost sighs with relief at the words.
In the past, Levi had thought he could never work in cohorts with other hitmen, but becoming partners with Erwin and his henchmen has been working in his favour.
Still, it doesn’t hurt to learn the layout off by heart. So, Levi pours himself over the blueprints and maps, memorising every detail, becoming so engrossed in it that he barely even hears you letting yourself inside of his apartment.
Your shoes hit the wall with a noise that makes him suddenly aware of your arrival, and he glances up to see you peeking into the kitchen, eyes scanning the room for any unfortunate signs of Elio before you approach him.
He notices the street market bag and inhales the smell of spice before looking back at the maps. “Hope you’re gonna share that.”
“Of course,” you reply, offended he even thought you might not. You place the container of tteokbokki on the table before sliding around to his side, eyes glued to the rolls of paper. “Where’s this?”
“Less you know, the better,” he mutters, leaning his head into your mouth as you kiss his jaw.
For a while, you say nothing, letting Levi memorise what he needs to while you assess the prints for yourself. Eventually, you shift your hand over his and squeeze, making him glance at you sideways.
You’re looking at him already, though you can’t see his eyes from the way he’s hunched over. Spotting Levi’s signs of anxiety must be incredibly easy, because somehow you’ve caught on, and begin to rub the back of his hand with your thumb, nose pressed into his bicep.
“Come eat,” you suggest quietly, after a while of basking in the silence with him.
He grunts, a typical Levi sound, and nudges you away. Though, you only shuffle to the drawer to fetch two forks — forks! He scoffs, rolling his shoulders as he rounds the table to take one from your fingers.
“Easier to stab with a fork,” you offer as an explanation.
“If my mother was here to see me eating tteokbokki with a fork, she’d lose her goddamn mind.”
“Well…” You start, trailing off after a moment. You’ve got nothing to say; he’s won the argument just by bringing Kuchel up, and both of you know it.
Scowling, you stab another wedge of tteok and chew it furiously, meanwhile Levi smirks to himself, victorious.
Tumblr media
(46) Giving them a back massage when they flop on the couch or bed.
“I need to retire. I’m getting too old for this shit.”
“No way. How old are you now, like, twenty eight?”
“…I’m thirty.”
“Best looking thirty year old I’ve ever seen. Roll over, I’ll massage your back, if you want?”
If he ever refuses a massage from you, he’s an idiot.
Levi rolls over ungraciously, hitting the mattress on his stomach with a low groan. He rolls his shoulders, the bones cracking comically loud, and as you shuffle up to straddle his back, he groans again.
“Oh fuck off, I’m not heavy.”
Levi sniggers into the pillow, though as soon as your hands start to work their magic, he moans, the pleasure instantaneous.
“Make a house back there, if you want. Just don’t stop.”
Tumblr media
(47) Staying up half the night to finish a game with them.
“I can’t do it if you’re not here, Levi. You need to get over here.”
“Do you not see that I’m trying?”
“You’re terrible at this game.”
Levi scoffs. He wouldn’t be so terrible if he actually knew how to play properly. His character begins to run in circles without him even asking him to, and Levi growls angrily.
“Fucks sake, this bitch is pissing me off.” Then, he wrangles the controller from your hands as you protest and says, “You be him instead.”
“But I don’t want to be Cody.”
“Me neither.”
As soon as you start moving little Cody around, Levi peers in scrutiny at the controller in your hand and how it so suddenly has stopped drifting on its own. There’s a circular dent in your inner cheek where your tongue is, and Levi scowls in your direction.
“You were sabotaging me,” he accuses, eyes focused back on May as she stumbles around uncoordinatedly.
“I think you’re just really bad,” you reply. Cody is moving fine, and finally, the mechanism moves and the story can progress. Hm.
Levi’s eyes bore into yours as you shift to face him, elbows snug in the blanket bundled around you both. Levi has been laying low for around two weeks now — he’s surprised with just how much he likes not having to work. Though, there have been a few times whilst playing this infuriating game where Levi has wished to be anywhere else.
“You’re good at a lot of things,” you tell him sincerely, “but just not games. And that’s okay. You tried.”
“I’m good at games,” he replies, offended.
You raise your eyebrows, “Like what?”
“Your animal living game.”
“Animal Crossing?”
“Sure, that too.”
All Levi has ever done on Animal Crossing is make a character and proceed to hit everybody with his fishing net, not to mention dig holes around your front door so you can’t get out. Still, you say nothing — the look of disbelief speaks volumes to Levi and he rolls his eyes, turning back to May as she wanders off to the side of the screen and falls off.
Okay. He’s bad at games. That he’ll admit. But you like it, and by the time he’s gotten the hang of the controls, it’s already four in the morning.
Tumblr media
(48) Getting them a coffee just the way they like it.
Remember those habits?
“You remembered!”
If not just to see your smile, Levi likes to bring you one of the expensive bags of coffee from Erwin’s studio. You could quite easily buy the bags yourself, but there’s no thrill in ordering something and having it arrive in due time, not like there is in making Levi steal three at a time as he leaves a meeting or training session.
Levi sets the bags with a loud thud by the coffee machine and hums.
“And you got me a drink!”
Yes. He has also become a barista and familiarised himself with the exact way you like to drink your coffee. The takeout cup he also borrowed from Erwin is placed down by your laptop as you relentlessly type away at an assignment at Levi’s kitchen table, and he presses a kiss to your temple and mutters under his breath.
“Thanks, babe,” you say, already sipping at the steamy contents.
“It’s hot,” he points out. “You’ll only cry when you singe all your taste-buds off.”
“I will not—” You slurp, then hiss, “Ow!”
“I warned you.”
Tumblr media
(49) Buying them a special treat when you go out shopping.
You know what? No. Levi has given up on pretending like he doesn’t enjoy you being in his grill all day, every day, which is the reasoning for why he ends up in an expensive jewellery store with Erwin one day after a long haul of inspecting an upcoming raid location.
In all honesty, Levi wants to put his work to rest once the raid is all over. It will be their riskiest ploy to date, and quite frankly, Levi’s tired. He’s been killing people for years, cutting at the humanity he has left, and back in the day he would have been very comfortable with being a monster, killing until he was killed.
But now he had you. Now, Levi had someone to care about, so deeply and so passionately that it often left him feeling sick.
“That’s called love, Levi,” is what Erwin had said when Levi chose the rare option of opening up when he tried to explain why he wanted to retire early.
“Love,” he scoffed. But then Erwin had said something profoundly wholesome, leaving Levi with a bitter taste in his mouth.
“You’re not unloveable just because you loved nothing for so long. I know it took you awhile to get back to where you are now, but just because love went wrong once before doesn’t mean it has to again. Besides, almost two years of your bullshit and that woman is still there — I don’t think you need to be worried about her pulling away from you once you tell her how you feel.”
Which roughly translated to: Buy her something nice and quash until you can’t any longer.
Once Levi gets home, he hears you giggling at something and finds you with a book over your face, your legs kicking as you squeal like a goblin. His face twists and he asks, “That book got jokes in it, or something?”
You peer around the spine and look at him. “They kissed. They. Kissed!”
“Who kissed?” Levi makes his way to the couch and takes a seat where you were just lying down. The cushions are warm — you’ve been here a while, and the thought makes him smile.
“Evangeline and Jacks. It’s all so perfect. I didn't like most of the book, but what matters is that they kissed,” you tell him, a little too excited. You plant your feet in Levi’s lap. “I love love, Levi. It is the greatest. I love books. Men written by women!”
“Why are you giggling over other men in my own house?”
“I giggle over you when you’re not around, too.”
He hums once from the back of his throat, watching as you mark the page with your bookmark and close the book before crawling into his lap and curling into his arms. He welcomes you instinctively, the blocky shape of the ring he bought in his pocket.
After smooching your lips for a long fifteen minutes, Levi pulls away and reaches for the box. “Got something for you.”
“Ooh, show me!”
He produces the little box and hands it to you, but when your eyes round and you hesitate in taking it, he worries.
“I’m not proposing,” he says quickly.
“Thank god. I was about to be very upset,” you sigh dramatically, finally taking the ring box. “Most unromantic proposal ever.”
“The fact you think I’d be that lousy with a proposal is actually really offensive.”
The genuine grumble in his voice puts a flutter in your stomach, though soon after, it simmers into a cool pit of shock when you flip open the box and see the most delicate, gorgeous ring that you’ve ever seen in your life, not counting ones you ogle in shopfronts.
Cautiously, you lift your head to peer at Levi’s expression. It’s not a proposal — he’s just told you so, and considering you’re not even his girlfriend in official terms yet, it seems unlikely that anything like that will be happening soon. But it has to be more than just an offhanded purchase, and you’re determined to figure out.
Levi’s eyes tremble as he looks between you and the ring. “Is it ugly?”
You immediately shake your head, “Of course not!”
“Put it on, then,” he urges. The steady beat of his heart stutters out of tempo. Suddenly, he feels quite nervous as he watches you take out the ring and study its appearance up close. “Need help?”
“Yeah, it’s so hard, I can’t figure out how to put it on. Needs instructions.”
Levi tuts and gently takes the ring from between your fingers, grabbing your ring finger whilst trying to look as casual as possible. Somehow, he manages to slide the ring on without making a fool of himself, but when he looks back at your face and sees gemstones of your own lining your waterline, he frowns.
“I’m not gonna sit here and give a speech,” he starts. By now, you know him better than that. He’s never opened up about his feelings to you, at least not without feeling regretful of it the morning after, and you nod simply, eyes catching the glint of the diamond. “But you know why I’ve bought it. I don’t need to tell you what you already know.”
And he doesn’t. Somehow, despite Levi being tremendously unromantic, having no manners, and in general being a terrible companion, you at least know that he cares. And with his upcoming job creeping up on you both, it doesn’t require an above-average intelligence to work out why this ring came when it did, what it means if things go south, what it means regardless.
“I know,” you tell him. “Thank you. It’s beautiful.”
Instead of saying anything, Levi curls you tighter in his arms and presses a kiss to your forehead, closing his eyes when you snuggle your face into his collar and relax.
His mind has been made, his plans set. As soon as the job is over, he doesn’t want to look back. Only forward, with the woman who has made him feel alive again.
Tumblr media
(50) Giving them a tight hug that makes them lose their breath.
Something is wrong. Something is horribly wrong, and there’s nothing you can do about it.
It has been days since Levi told you he’d touched down in New York, working out some stuff in the very famous Continental until he was set to join Erwin on whatever mission they had planned and prepared for. Levi hadn’t told you the details this time because the risks were too high, and now, it feels like a major setback.
New York is on fire, and Levi barely kept his life getting out of the Silver Sword compound. An entire mob wiped out by two guys with no backup — it was practically unprecedented, unseen or unheard of since John Wick was knocking around.
The Continental had done everything right in the aftermath, including keeping Levi in their small infirmary for days whilst tending to his excessive wounds. Fuck, he had been so reckless, so vengeful, so stupid. It had almost cost him his life ensuring that no leads followed him and Erwin back to Seoul, and although he had succeeded in destroying every last bit of incriminating evidence, the risks had been too great.
When Levi finally gets discharged from the infirmary, it is almost eleven in the evening, and New York has finally calmed down and settled in for the night. Erwin greets Levi in the lobby, a frown on his face, holding a destroyed black bundle of phone parts that bear a striking resemblance to Levi’s missing device. He swears.
Levi hasn’t heard from you since he got here. Since the last risky job he took in Gwangju last year, you’ve never been lax while he’s been away; he can almost imagine your fear, your paranoia, and before he can even hear Erwin’s well wishes, Levi’s crossing the lobby for the customer payphone and dialing in your number.
The line rings twice before someone picks up.
“Baby?” Levi asks, after three attempts of saying your name and no coherent response. He cranes his head around the curly wire and glares at the clerk, though she looks less than pleased being interrupted by Levi, “Is this a global line?”
“Obviously, sir. It’s a telephone.”
“I fucking know it’s a telephone, but if it’s global, then why the hell isn’t it working?”
The girl gives him grief about his manners and Levi is forced to give up on calling you, slamming down the phone angrily and feeling his body growing hotter and hotter with worry.
He knows you're fine, in his house with the big cat you hate to love, but he knows you. He knows how you operate, how you worry, how you love him too much.
“Look, we’ll catch the first flight we can,” Erwin assures him as soon as Levi has caught his breath and taken a seat on one of the black leather sofas. His hands are shaking violently. “She’s fine. I promise.”
“I know she’s fine,” Levi grumbles.
“Then get a hold of yourself,” sighs Erwin, his frown low and face tired. “There’s nothing you can do but wait. I’ve got people waiting on me, as well, you know.”
“It’s not the same thing.”
“Dogs miss their owners just as much as girlfriends miss their boyfriends,” Erwin protests, because that’s all he has back home these days.
There had been a time where you had offered to set him up with your friend, Sasha, who deserved to be with a man who could handle her energy but also make her feel safe after her last terrible relationship, but Erwin is basically married to his work, and had got a dog despite Sasha being deathly allergic.
Still, Levi’s not heartless enough to know that Erwin isn’t missed by his dog, and probably other people in his life. And he’s right, there’s nothing he can do about the connection problems. All he can do is reign in his worries and wait.
The earliest flight they can find is the next morning, and Levi spends every second up to that point and up until he pulls up outside of his house in a complete state of panic. Would you be there? Did you leave, thinking he’d never come back?
Levi abandons his bag and leaves it in the backseat as he sprints from the car up the stairs, past his front door, and into his house. He kicks off his shoes once he’s in, the door hitting the wall with a booming slam.
He hears what he thinks might be scuffles, potentially even Elio’s claws, and right as Levi calls out your name, he sees you round the corner with a blotchy red face and feels his arms stretching out for you.
“What the fuck is wrong with you!” You slam into his chest, almost taking him to the floor, and encircle your arms around his neck so hard that the breath knocks out of his lungs. Still, he isn’t even annoyed; he squeezes you so tightly, tighter than he’s ever hugged anyone before, and shoves his face into your neck, inhaling the smell, feeling the way your body felt in memories while he was away.
“I’m sorry,” he says in a whisper, his features tugged in displeasure as you whimper into him, no doubt crying over his shirt. “I’m sorry, baby.”
“I thought you were dead!” you blurt, “I even cried on Elio’s back because I thought you had died! What’s the point in having a phone if you never pick it up or charge it?” You snatch yourself from his arms and gently beat against his chest with your fist. “I’m so pissed off at you!”
“I’m sorry that my phone got crushed,” he says, affronted that you would even think he’d ignore your calls on purpose. “I was in a hospital bed for three days! And then the bitchy receptionist got smart with me about their shitty phone, and I called but the line cut out. Sounded like a goddamn robot, I couldn’t hear a word you were saying.”
Your jaw drops, “That was you? I thought you’d died and some enemy gang guy was trying to call me to kill me!” Levi has to laugh at the look of worry on your face. He hasn’t been cared for in this way in a long time. Never been loved to this volume. “I unplugged the landline, I was so scared! Jesus Christ, Levi!” Then, like you never left, you rush back into his arms and let out a shaky cry.
“You did the right thing,” he tells you. Unplugging the landline was the silliest thing he could have ever thought of, but then he realises that you’re still here, and that you made peace with Elio just because you thought he had died.
Levi strokes the back of your head and shushes you, feeling your heartbeat hammering furiously against his chest. His is most likely the same, though he’s not so eager to acknowledge his own feelings.
After a while of standing there, and after Levi’s stroked behind Elio’s ears when he prowls towards them and rubs his head on Levi’s trousers, Levi looks back at you softly and takes everything in.
He has missed you more than anything, grieved the missing piece of his soul that is shaped like you. And, while he’s at it, yes! Fucking hell! He loves you!
“I’m so glad you’re okay,” you tell him, and Levi kisses you, his hands cradling your face. The kiss is firm, desperate, though he has no intention of walking you backwards towards the bedroom like he normally does after a job.
Instead, he pulls you in for a hug again.
“I missed you,” he mutters. “So fucking much.”
“Me too.”
He says with his mouth pressed into your head, “I’m done with this shit. I’m not taking any more jobs.”
You twist out of his arms, eyebrows raised. “Really? Why? You love your job.”
“I hate my job,” Levi confesses. “I have too much to lose. I just wanna live my life. And make it all count for something.”
For a moment, you stand there, looking at his face so intently that he almost feels uncomfortable. But then, as a smile spreads over your face, Levi feels like he can finally breathe again, finally feel like himself.
“Alright. If that’s what you want, babe, then let’s do that.”
And we can do it together.

(51) Getting adjusted.
Levi forgot what it was like to be normal.
He now wakes up at whatever time he wants to, feeling next to him for the lump in the bed where you sleep. Once he knows you’re still there (because despite being retired, he doesn’t think the habit of making sure you’re safe will ever go away), Levi wakes up and starts his day.
Coffee for one becomes coffee for two. Levi never has to eat breakfast on his own, never sits alone on the sofa or sits in silence at the kitchen table. Levi has lost half of his sink counter space to your belongings, lost half of his wardrobe to your own clothes. There are so many shoes by his front door that it looks like a storefront.
Elio has a mother, in a strange, estranged, visitation-hours-only kind of way. Levi has made room for you in his life and you fit perfectly, so perfectly that he barely remembers what it ever felt like to live alone.
The shower is always filled with two people. Levi finds your things all over the house in the most bizarre places. He has candles on every coffee table, pictures in frames, finds your cardigans hanging over every chair. But he loves it. He loves it so much. He can’t imagine ever not having it, having you, having this life.
Tumblr media
(52) Finally saying the words.
“This is my first time using this thing.”
“What?” you gasp as Levi comes to sit next to you on the balcony.
Elio yawns inside, sleeping on the couch. It is partly his fault that Levi’s out here in the first place, though the thought of being tucked beside you on the outdoor couch in a blanket, watching the sun sink behind the skyline, is thankfully rather appealing, and he voices no complaints.
Levi takes a swig of his whiskey and abandons the cup on the table, throwing an arm around your shoulder and pulling you close. It’s not exactly cold tonight, but he knows you too well, and knows that within an hour, you’ll be dithering next to him.
“Imagine having a balcony and never using it.”
“I’m using it now,” Levi huffs, pinching your neck. You squeal, “Fuck off, it didn’t hurt.”
You’ve been officially living in Levi’s home for two months now, although sometimes it feels like you’ve always been here. Still, despite you making yourself very much at home on the inside, neither of you have once come out to sit on the balcony, to bask in the lovely sun as it settles for the night, not until today.
“When’s Erwin coming?”
“Bout an hour or so,” Levi says in a low drawl, his head tilted back and hand massaging the side of your head. It had been your idea to invite a bunch of people over to your house — the house you now shared — and frightfully, Levi hadn’t opposed. It would be nice to share the wealth of simply being alive with people he now had the patience to care about.
You shuffle to look at him, and Levi picks up his head at the sound of you moving. Like always, Levi thinks you look beautiful, but since he’s made you his girlfriend, it has felt like every time he looks at you, he can’t breathe properly.
“I’m excited. This is our first time hosting a party together,” you grin, while Levi thumbs your ear and smiles. “Do you think Elio will eat Erwin’s dog?”
“No. Elio’s moved back onto a pescatarian diet, so I think Erwin’s mutt will be safe.”
“Good. I bought him a bone, do you think he’ll like it?”
“He’s a dog. Yes, I expect, why are you asking me this?” Levi asks, eyebrows scrunched, though he pulls you close to where his mouth is and kisses you straight on the lips. “Stop stressing.”
“I can’t help it. I’m nervous! It’s all so serious! What if nobody likes our house?”
He shrugs. “I don’t give a shit who does or doesn’t like our house. It’s ours.”
“Hnnngh. And I want you to have a good time!” you whine. “You deserve a bit of fun in your life.”
“My life is always fun now that you’re my girlfriend.”
He’s instantly won himself brownie points by saying that.
“Just tell me if it gets too much,” you mutter, lips on his, mouths together. “Okay?”
Levi hums. “Yeah.” Then, after he’s kissed you three more times and felt his heart shake, he nudges his nose against yours and says, “I love you, y’know that, right?”
You pause, eyes rounding wide as you take in the sight of him. Levi has never said those words before, not explicitly. But now is as good a time as any, right?
Levi has spent far too much of his life withdrawing from his emotions, hiding away from what matters most out of a fear of caring too much. In the past, he had cared too much and lost it all. You were never supposed to be something he cared about, but when it had happened, it happened so fast he hadn’t had the time to make sense of it all.
But now, now that he’s been through it all with you, ticked every box imaginable, become comfortable being vulnerable again, Levi thinks he’s finally ready to accept the love he deserves and dole it out to those who mean the most to him.
Your mouth moves against his, though he can’t understand the words coming out. He laughs, confused, and somehow manages to pull away and ask, “What’re you even saying?”
All for you to blubber out in a laugh, “I’ve been waiting for ages for you to say that!”
His heart bursts, chest soars. “You could have said it first.”
“I’ve said it before,” you protest, “in actions.”
He scoffs, “So have I.”
And he has, you really can’t deny it.
“Say it again, won’t you?” you ask sweetly, kissing the corner of his mouth, and Levi sighs, like asking that of him is simply too much.
“I love you. You make me very happy.” Levi groans when you cackle and squish the breath out of him with a hug, but this time, he sniggers too. Why waste the moment on pretending to be indifferent when he’s actually the happiest he’s ever been?
Levi Ackerman can finally say that he feels good. He feels safe, he feels content, he feels comfortable — and most of all, he feels loved. And in love. And totally at peace in the world with the person who makes him the happiest.

The gang finds out about Jay’s Snake Tail
“Fascinating…”
Jay struggled to stand still as Pixal lightly pulled at his ears. His blue skin and yellow eyes had faded fully a few days ago, but there seemed to be no change to some of the more permanent body modifications he’d made to himself while in Prime Empire. It wasn’t even something he’d thought about - he’d spent over two years at this point looking like Superstar Rockin’ Jay, so he hadn’t bothered changing his avatar or anything before leaving Prime Empire for good.
Just another thing to get used to, he supposed.
After a moment, Pixal let go of his ears, half-hazardly grabbed his face, and pulled his jaw open, squinting to get a better analysis of his teeth. He made an alarmed sound, but he HAD given her permission to run any tests she wanted.
“Take it easy on Sparky, Pix,” Morro said from somewhere off to the side. “He’s a person, not a machine.”
Morro and Kai were in the lab as well, watching in fascination. Morro and Jay had become particularly close in the past few weeks, so Jay had asked him to be there for this check-up/experimentation/whatever Pixal considered this. As for Kai, as much as he’d tried to hide it he was still skeptical of the new Master of Lightning, so he’d insisted on being there as well.
Pixal looked sheepish as she took her hands out of Jay’s mouth. “My apologies, Jay. I got a bit too excited.”
Jay stretched his jaw out a little before closing it with a snap. “Nah, ‘s fine. It is kind of interesting to figure out what stayed and what didn’t from my avatar.”
He didn’t mention how awkward he felt, with his pointed ears and fangs and-
Speak of the devil, Pixal looked him up and down, giving him a quick scan. “Any abnormal coloration seems to have faded according to my scans, and you seem perfectly fine and healthy. Your top surgery scars as well as fangs, ears, and tail are all intact and seemed to have remained from your game avatar.
Everyone in the room went silent.
“Sorry, tail?” Kai said. “What tail?”
Pixal looked between Kai and Jay. “Was I not supposed to say that?”
Jay groaned. He knew that the people of Ninjago were still not… entirely big fans of the Serpentine, so he was hoping to keep this one on the down low, but he supposed it’d be fine if the Ninja knew, so…
Jay undid a small button in the back of his shorts and let the small snake tail that he’d been trying to keep hidden pop out the back. It rattled as everyone stared at it.
“Surprise! I… had some snake-based power-ups in the game that decided to… stick around,” Jay said, face bright red.
Everyone was quiet for a moment until Lloyd walked into the room, took one look at Jay, and nearly spit out the soda they’d been drinking.
“OH MY FIRST MASTER WE’RE TWINS.”
Lloyd let their own dragon-esque tail pop out from the back of their gi, and pulled his hair back to reveal his similarly pointed ears.
“TWINS.”
Jay blinked for a moment, before pointing at Lloyd with a grin. “TWINS!!”
The two kept shouting at each other while Kai, Pixal, and Morro watched off to the side.
“Well, glad he feels better about it now,” Morro said with a shrug. “I’m sure it’ll take some getting used to.”
“I don’t get the big deal,” Kai said. “Why be nervous about the tail? He already knew that most of this team isn’t exactly ‘human’ anyways, it’s not like we’d judge him for it.”
“Pretty sure he just wants to have as normal of a time as possible now that he’s coping with everything,” Morro said, his voice lowering. “A few weeks ago, he thought he was a video game character and now he’s learning he’s destined to protect Ninjago and Lloyd. That’s a lot to shove on someone all at once, and thinking about he’s different from most people probably wasn’t helping.”
Kai hummed in agreement. “Guess that makes sense.” Then he blinked. “Man, since when are you the sensible one of the group?”
Morro snickered. “Not like it’s hard with you lot.”
“...Yeah fair.”

The burgundy on my t-shirt when you splashed your wine into me (CS55)
Tumblr media
Carlos Sainz x female reader
warnings!! mature content 18+ sexual themes!!
It was Carlos’s 28th birthday. Another epic weekend for him, since he won his second Grand Prix ever in Zandvoort. This was truly a moment to cherish. Me, Charles, Rupert and Onõro, found this as the perfect opportunity to host him a surprise party in order to celebrate both occasions.
The boys were in charge of keeping him occupied throughout the day, while I was taking care of decorations and preparing Carlos’s house alongside with his family. I was sure they would keep him away from the house, since as a newly Spanish Grand Prix winner, the streets of Madrid would flood with his fans and Ferrari supporters who would congratulate him on another epic win.
- R : How is everything going? Need any help?
- Y/N : Everything is in control. Don’t stress. If I need anything, I’ll let you know.
-R : Great! We are at the golf track now and probably will still be until you call us to head back
- Y/N : I will text you when it’s time to bring him in
-R : Noted. By the way, he’s been asking for you. The moments we got in the car he said “Where’s Y/N? Is she not coming? She loves golf”. Obviously I said you were with a few friends.
- Y/N : Thanks Rupert! I owe you. Also he really believes I like golf?
- R : Not simply like. You love it.
- Y/N : I must be doing something wrong or he’s blind. Anyway, gotta go. Have fun and don’t come back until I say so!
- R : Copy that. See you soon
I hung up the phone and headed to my car. Needed to drop by the market to buy a few ingredients I was lacking of.
My car was smelling as if Carlos was in at the moment. His smell is so intoxicating but also calming simultaneously. My breathing would get heavier every time he hugged me. It was a safe place. By the years this hug made my heart race faster than it used to and bring back memories from our childhood that made me realize I was in love with him since forever.
As I was walking around the market in search of the ingredients, I felt a body knocking me off and it falling down too a few seconds later
“I am so sorry. I wasn’t looking at where I was going. Are you okay?” that voice that echoed through my ears was more than familiar
“Isa?”
“Y/N? Hi! I feel even more bad now. Please forgive me. Are you hurt?” she was as sweet as always. The Isa I first met in middle school. The kindest person. Carlos’s ex girlfriend too. I was the reason they got together. At a mutuals friends party, we were all hanging out and decided to introduce them. Two months later, they announced they were dating. Their relationship was very private. Very few of us knew they were together. Even at races, she would only be pictured alongside me and not Carlos.
“No, I am sorry. My mind was wandering somewhere else. How have you been?”
She then started telling me about leaving Madrid and living permanently in Portugal, working with one of her best friends as a model. Also mentioned she was in a relationship with one of her co-workers and a very famous Portuguese model. Of course, I already knew since I follow her socials. It was her first ever public relationship. Isa did not like to post much about Carlos. With the amount of fans he had as a Formula 1 driver, she had heard from other girlfriends how some comments may get really nasty. So she preferred to stay away from the spotlight. It was better for both of them.
“I am so glad your life is going this great! You deserve it”
“Thank you. But, tell me about you! How is everything? Are the boys good? Give them my regards”
“I am good. Flying out almost every now and then. Trying to combine work with the races and personal life. The boys are good too. We are hosting Carlos a birthday party tonight”
For a split second, my mind thought about simply not inviting her. I wouldn't know if Carlos or her would feel comfortable around each other. But I also didn't want to be rude.
“You are more than welcomed if you would like to come!”
“Sadly, I can't. I’m flying out tonight. Plus, I don't think it would be a great idea for me and Carlos to be in the same room”
“Oh okay. Well, whenever you are back in town, don't hesitate to text me. We could hang out, the two of us”
“I would be more than happy to meet up again. I hope you guys have fun today. And Y/N, go for it. Don't let your chance go away”
“What chance?”
“He truly loves you more than anyone on this planet. We all know that. Don't let it go to waste” she gave me a kind smile with a playful wink.
“Have a safe trip Isa”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- R: Can we come back? If I stay here with him a minute longer, he won't make it alive
- Y/N : Yes you can. I was about to text you. Guests are slowly arriving.
- R : Fucking finally! We are on our way. I will let you know when we are close
- Y/N : See you soon. And bring the birthday boy back alive
No more than twenty minutes later, Rupert texted me that they are 5 minutes away. I told everyone to hide behind the couches, as I would be hiding behind the door! I truly wanted him to like this surprise. That moment brought back to my mind Isa’s words. Should I really go for it? Confess my feelings after 25 years? As I was thinking about all the possible scenarios in my head, I suddenly heard the door unlocking.
“Honestly Carlos I could literally hit you with-” Rupert was about to say when we all interrupted him
“SURPRISE!! Feliz cumpleaños Carlos!!” His eyes were glowing. They were wandering around the room, seeing all his friends and family together. Before he could say anything, his focus turned on me. It was like he was about to rip my heart out. I had never seen such kindness in his look.
“Gracias a todos. Lo aprecio mucho. Estoy agradecido por todos ustedes (thank you everyone. I appreciate it dearly. I am grateful for all of you)
Charles, Rupert and Onõro went to hug him first. Then his parents were in line with his sisters and afterwards Lando, Max, Pierre and Daniel.
When he was finished with everyone, he quickly wrapped his arms around me and held me so tight, as if I was about to run away. All the memories were flooding back, every little “thank you” and “you're the best person” were echoing through my ears. I could feel his grip getting tighter around my waist. My arms were caressing and gripping his back equally tightly. I could have stayed like this forever.
“Te quiero a muerte”(i love you to death) he softly whispered to my ear, as he placed me back and let go of me.
“Enjoy the party Mr. Sainz” I gave him a playful look and was about to go get a drink, when he grabbed my arm and pulled me close to him.
“So that's why you’ve been missing all day, huh?”
“I definitely wasn't with any friends whatsoever”
“Don’t you wanna spend some time with the birthday boy, no?”
“The birthday boy wants you though” his eyes darkened and a sense of lust appeared in them. One I hadn't seen before
“Go play with the other boys Carlos. I will be around” he lets go of my hand and I move towards the table with the drinks and chat with Rupert for a while.
“He hasn’t taken his eyes off of you” Rupert quickly mentions before taking a sip of his drink
“What do you mean?” I take a quick glance at Carlos who was currently laughing at something that Lando said
“Oh come on Y/N! We all know Carlos secretly likes you, even though he doesn't want to admit it”
“And what exactly can I do about that?”
“Talk to him? Explain how you feel? He hasn’t dated in 2,5 years. Nor been with any woman.”
“I don't think its a good idea Rup. We have been best friends since forever. He would hate me and I would hate myself too if I make this relationship awkward”
“Y/N, listen to Rupert. Plus, he thinks you like me. And I don't wanna end up in a dog fight with my teammate” Charles came by, as he was listening to the conversation we were having.
“We will see”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was past 2 am and everyone had left. I told everyone that I would take care of the mess and clean it up. I was the one least drunk. As I was throwing away all the empty bottles, I heard a loud thump coming from outside of the kitchen.
“Carlos? Are you alright?” I raised the tone of my voice so he could hear me
“Yes, cariño! More than alright” I went up to him and held him steady as he was about to fall down. The wine he had in the plastic cup was splashed on my shirt, which made his eyes grow. The cold feeling of the wine made my nipples visible, since I had taken off my bra.
Carlos’s eyes were scanning my whole body from top to bottom. He bit his lower lip and said in one breath:
“Cómo es que nunca me había dado cuenta de lo hermosa que eres?” (How come I had never noticed how beautiful you are?)
The blood quickly rushed to my cheeks, which made me lower my look from his. I didn't know how to feel. To my surprise, I saw the grown bulge on Carlos’s jeans, which made me leave the room. Before I could react, he jumped in front of me and stopped.
“Its bedtime mr. winner. I have more work to do”
“I would much rather you being occupied somehow else”
At that moment, he brought his two fingers under my chin and lifted it up for me to look at him. His beautiful eyes were calming my soul down but his rosy lips were setting it on fire. There was a war going on right now between my heart and brain.
“I would give up the whole world for you. Just to make you happy. I am sorry for all the pain I have caused you. I have never loved someone more than you. And I don't think my heart will ever allow me to” the words that came out of his mouth, were the reason why I felt alive at that moment.
“Puedo besarte?” (can i kiss you?)
All i simply did was grab him by the hem of his shirt and connect our lips. This was all I was wishing for. He didn't waist time to lift me up and carry me upstairs to his bedroom. His lips were following a path that was going between my neck and lips. A soft groan escaped my mouth as he bit my lower lip hungrily. When we reached his bedroom he threw me on the bed and took off his shirt quickly. What a sight for sore eyes!
Then climbed back to my body and begun slowly undressing me, while his lips were constantly connected to mine. Once my shirt was gone, his mouth flew towards my hardened nipples and started making circles with his tongue around them
“Oh my lord-“
“No need for praising baby”
His hands were making their way towards my panties which were soon destroyed as Carlos ripped them apart fiercely.
“I’m so sorry for wasting so much time cariño”
My womanhood was dripping wet and Carlos seemed to be more than pleased with this result. He lowered his head, which I followed with my eyes and started leaving hungry kisses on my pussy.
He suddenly rose up
“How many? Show me”
I held up 2 fingers
“What a good girl. Abre, mi amor (open up, my love)”
I obliged to his command and spread my legs wide. I seriously couldn’t believe this was happening. Suddenly, there was a blissful feeling inside of me. As if I was one step away from heaven. His fingers were pumping in the perfect rhythm, earning a louder groan from me.
“Am I the only man you’ve been this wet for, cariño?”
“Y-yes” I said with no hesitation
“Don’t keep your voice down. I want to hear you. Louder” his movements became faster and my pussy was clenching around his fingers
“Fucking hell Carlos” my moan was even louder now. Just what he wanted
“Hell? I must be doing something wrong then. I wanna send you to heaven”
“I’m go-gonna-co-come” I let out a soft whimper as I was too focused on how his fingers were making me feel so good
“Then do so,Hermosa. On my fingers” in a few thrusts, I felt the warm liquid leaving my body and I finally opened my eyes. A sight of Carlos with his messy hair being underneath me was presented. I thought I was dreaming. But then I realized I wasn’t, once he put his fingers in his mouth to taste me.
“Cielo(heaven)” Carlos gave me a lusty smirk, brining his face closer to mine and sharing a hungry kiss. His hands were firmly cupping my cheeks, while mine were roaming all over his muscly and tense body. When I reached the lace of his underwear, Carlos looked at me with pleading look.
“I’m yours to use. However you want. Make me feel alive again” this phrase, was the beginning of everything. A wild story was about to unfold.
My fingers lurked inside his pants and firmly pushed them downwards, which lead to his cock being fully exposed to my eyesight. I was slightly taken aback, at which Carlos commented,
“Te gusta lo que ves?(do you like what you see?)”
“Full of surprises Sainz”
“Only for you”
I lowered myself on my knees. Once I was beneath him, my lips softly touched the tip of his cock, which made Carlos flinch a little. I smiled at his reaction. My tongue did a few first swirls around it, before opening up fully and taking his entirety inside me. I started off slowly until I could find the best pace for the both of us. My free hands were simultaneously squeezing his balls to give him more of a feeling of who was now in control.
“My fantasies just became my reality” he softly spoke out. Those words made my heart race faster. Was I really his fantasy? This whole time?”
I started sending the pre-cum, coming from his tip in the back of my throat. To which I didn’t complain. Means I was doing something right.
He hasn’t stopped looking at me. As if he is taking a picture of me with his eyes.
“Darling I’m close” he let out in coordination with a loud moan
In less than a few second my mouth was filled with his juices.
“Swallow. Every. Last. Drop” his lips were brushing mine and I did so before he could kiss me again.
“Thank you for the gift Princesa”
“Happy birthday Carlos”
“I know I’m very late, but I want you to know that I love you. Every bit of you. Unconditionally. And I always will” his eyes were sparkling as those words escaped his mouth.
“I’m glad this isn’t one of my dreams, because I love you too. As a best friend and more than that”

Hello, I just wanted to write that I re-read the last chapter again (I can’t stop) Your fanfic is what kept my mental health going (it was a really hard year) over the past year and I’m grateful for that 🥰But I was so immersed in this story, on  at the moment this is the only ff that I read on this fandom, and it should already be so (for more than a year now, it’s incredible)😊I like that the characters are so alive, the feelings are so vivid, and they are so intertwined with depth and important themes and also  with sex (Vegas's pov still haunts me, I'm really looking forward to reading some kind of sexual experience from his point of view, because he's just so bad for it, AND VERY HOT), but we know that he hides his  real emotions 👀I’m looking forward to how events will develop further, you are so talented 💘It’s so incredible that you can write such a beautiful, emotional story for FREE that will find such a response in many, I’ve been here for a year now and I’ll wait as long as you want to  enjoy this work and read how these two live their happy twisted life (and this is just my wish...in my head it’s a canon that they killed Korn, ehhh dreams)😈At the end I want to wish you health and send hugs 🫂 And if possible,  can I have a little spoiler about “Vegas will do something stupid, and Pete will do something even worse” I’m so interested 😭😭😭 But if not, then I’m okay with it and ready to wait further 💜 P.S. I’m not a native English speaker, I hope everyone is here  It's clear
oh hello there!!! oh my gosh that honestly means so much to hear that and im so happy it could offer something meaningful during the past year though i do hope this year treats you better!!
ahhhhhhh thank you so much!!! im so glad you think i brought it to life that way!! oh wow yes his pov is very much diving under the surface of what Pete has been interpreting this entire time. wow yes and if there is a sex scene in his pov you can bet its going to be deeply obsessed and unsettling whilst we hear how he experiences that from his pov and how it all makes him feel. like dude high key wants to climb inside petes body and live there permanently there will be no normal internal thoughts whilst theyre having sex haha.
youre so right he does hide way too much!!! and were going to be seeing a lot of that the more we have his POV. ah thank you thank you!! its honestly been so amazing that its resonated with people this much and the experience has been so rewarding!! ah thank you youre too sweet!
omg yeah they should murder korn what an idea. thank you!!! sending you good health and hugs too!!!
oh sure!! well basically its going to revolve around pete finally deciding that he wants to bottom but when he tries to bring that up in his usual halting, beating around the bush kind of way vegas just ends up putting his mouth in it. but like in the most extreme, worst way possible. badly enough that pete makes his own petty, spiteful plan instead and decides to go elsewhere, knowing that it will set vegas off in the worst way but hes angry enough to try and rub that in vegas' face.
except- well it backfires and then the both of them are really into it and they both end up getting exactly what they wanted in the end anyway.
hope thats enough of a spoiler hint!
your english is great!!! and its very clear and easy to understand!! honestly so impressed with people who know more than one language and who talk to people in that other language!! like ur brain???? its so powerful!!!
hope you have a nice night!!

Chapter 4: Fire
Read on AO3
T.K. wants him. Carlos saw it in his eyes, read it in his body as they’d stood in the galley together and it had taken everything in Carlos not to go over and pin him against the counter and show him exactly how much he’d like T.K. to offer him sex.
That knowledge has Carlos sailing through dinner service on cloud nine. He cooks with a fervor and passion previously unknown, a smile permanently etched onto his face. He knows it’s a bad idea for them to be together. Like really bad. Like, if he fucks up his chance on this boat he’s got nowhere else to go, bad.
But T.K. is starting to feel inevitable.
By the time the guests have gone to bed it’s nearly midnight. Iris is on lates with him and she’s seated on the counter, a bowl of ice cream in her hand as he cleans around her. “I can’t believe you made this,” she says, her mouth full of sea salt and caramel. “Remember when we were kids and we used to play in the backyard and make mud pies and stuff? This is better.”
“I certainly hope so,” Carlos says with a laugh.
“Andrea Reyes and all the tías would approve,” she tells him, and he feels a glow in the center of his chest. He’d spent so much time in the kitchen with her and all his tías growing up. It was their love of food that had sent him to culinary school and then onto is career. He misses them fiercely, it’s been almost a year since he’s been home, but it feels good to carry their legacy with him as he travels across the globe.
“Glad you think so,” he says.
“So, did you bone T.K. yet or what?” she asks.
“We have talked about this so much,” Carlos says in a tone of long suffering. “That is an inappropriate question.”
“I’m your ex. I’m allowed to ask inappropriate questions.”
“Nope,” Carlos says. “That’s not what that means at all.”
“You can ask about my sex life,” Iris offers.
“I really, really don’t want to. Let’s go back to talking about ice cream.”
“Mm.” She takes a bite and then makes a circular motion with her spoon while she waits for it to melt enough on her tongue that she can speak again. “One time, when I was working at this ice cream place, this guy and I went into the walk-in freezer and we—“
“Iris!”
“Okay fine. You’re such a prude. I’ll stop,” she says with a roll of her eyes. “Can I ask how you feel about being on this boat?”
“Yes, that you can ask about,” Carlos says as he dries a couple knives and slots them back into their block. “I like this boat a lot.”
“Better than those assholes on your last boat?”
“Definitely,” Carlos says fervently. “Everyone is so nice here. It’s kind of unbelievable.”
“Right?” Iris says, her eyes wide. “Kind of feels like they’ve all been taken over by aliens.”
He stops drying a massive pot and looks at her with concern, which she waves off. “I’m kidding,” she says. “Like haha funny,” she reiterates when he doesn’t laugh. “I’m not off my meds. I’m making a joke.”
It’s a relief to hear. “Oh,” he says. “Right.”
“Carlos you have got to relax,” she says. “You don’t have to worry about me. I’m fine. I’m great, actually. Tommy and Nancy, everybody really, they’re all super understanding. I’m taking my meds, I’m doing calls with my therapist and my psychiatrist on the regular. I’m good. I didn’t call you here to take care of me. I called you here to take care of you.”
“I don’t need to be taken care of,” he tells her.
Her face hardens. “I know how bad it was on your last boat. I could tell every time we talked that you were unhappy. Nobody here is going to treat you like that. Not on the crew anyway. And if any of the guests do, just tell Tommy. She’ll take care of it. Trust me.”
She’s not wrong. Working on The Precinct had been a special kind of humiliating torture. Getting off that boat was the easiest decision he ever made.
“So?” Iris says.
“So…what?” Carlos asks, genuinely confused.
“Thank you for saving me from my miserable yachting job, Iris. You’re the best, Iris. Of the Blake sisters you are the smartest and hottest, Iris. I owe you a big one, Iris,” she prompts, quirking a sassy smile.
He chuckles. “Thank you Iris. You are the best. And I am very grateful.”
She kisses him on the cheek and hops down. “You’re welcome. Make me more ice cream tomorrow.”
It’s a demand, not a request, but he’d make her a five course dinner if she asked for it. She’s saved him from himself more than once and he loves her for it. “You going to bed?” he asks as she puts her dishes in the dishwasher and sets it to run overnight.
“Um yeah, it’s one am,” she tells him. “You should too.”
“I’m just waiting for some cookies to finish,” he says, nodding toward the oven.
“You work too hard Reyes,” she says with a sigh and shake of her head.
“Sorry Mom,” he says, bumping her with his hip when she passes by.
She gives him a gentle shove in return. “Goodnight Carlos.”
“Goodnight Iris.”
He gets some fruit cut up for the morning, preps a yeasted mix that makes the lightest, most amazing waffles, and then pulls out the last batch of cookies before doing a final wipe of the counter. He rubs his eyes and checks his watch; it’s almost two o’clock. He’s exhausted. The rest will have to wait.
He sneaks quietly into the cabin, careful not to make any loud noises or let in too much light, smiling when he spots T.K. asleep in his bunk. The second stew has one leg hanging over the edge of the bed, the blankets all twisted around himself, an arm thrown over his face, his mouth open, a slight snore escaping every time he breathes. It’s adorable and chaotic and it makes that warm glow in Carlos’ chest intensify.
He brushes his teeth and strips down to his boxers before climbing into bed. He’s been up for so many hours he’s kind of forgotten what bed feels like and has to stifle a groan as he sinks into the cheap mattress and closes his eyes.
It doesn’t take long for him to drop fully into deep sleep.
He dreams of T.K. His eyes, his lips, the way he bounces around when he’s happy. He dreams of them together, kissing, touching, their bodies flush against one another. He can feel the softness of T.K.’s skin, hear him saying his name, “Carlos. Carlos.”
“CARLOS!”
Carlos’ eyes shoot open to find the overhead light on and T.K. shaking him awake as an alarm blares from somewhere on the boat.
“Carlos GET UP!” T.K. demands and Carlos follows his instructions, sliding down to the floor and looking around bleary eyed.
Footsteps go pounding by in the hallway and T.K. pulls open the door. “Where is it?” he calls.
“Galley!” Mateo yells over his shoulder.
“I’m not wearing a shirt,” Carlos says, looking around as if one is going to appear in his hands. He’s still half asleep and struggling to keep up.
T.K. opens a drawer and tosses him one, Carlos pulling it on haphazardly as T.K. holds out a hand. “Carlos we have to go now.”
Carlos takes it, and T.K. pulls him out into the hallway.
There’s a lot of commotion going on, he can hear it even before they reach the galley, and realization slowly sets in. The fire alarm. The alarm going off is the fire alarm. And it’s going off in the galley. His galley.
“Move!” Marjan comes barreling down the hall in a fuzzy pink bathrobe and matching hijab. She’s carrying a fire extinguisher, and both of them having to go flat against the wall to let her through.
As soon as she’s past them T.K. starts towing him along again until they finally reach the source of the commotion.
All of the lights are on and it seems the entire crew is pouring in. There’s smoke spiraling out from somewhere, the alarm screaming overhead, everyone yelling over it.
“Somebody talk to me!” Tommy says, her voice cutting through the chaos as she strides in wearing leggings and a t-shirt she clearly just threw on.
“I think it’s the stove,” Judd says as he opens the oven door.
“Nancy, Iris, get the guests gathered in the main salon. Get them life jackets and be ready to move if we need to,” Tommy commands and they immediately disappear up the stairs, a flash of Nancy’s blue shorty pajamas the last thing they see. “Judd I need answers now.”
“I’m trying to get them for you,” he tells her, grabbing his radio. “Dave! Get the electrical to the galley cut off!”
The lights go out immediately and a couple people click on flashlights as Judd and Paul pull the stove away from the wall. “There it is!” he says after a minute. “Marjan hit it!”
She pulls the pin on the extinguisher and unleashes it in a hazy cloud. It smells terrible, the acrid scent of burning plastic and smoke filling the air as the fire extinguisher dust settles over everything. There’s a moment of calm as everyone waits to see if the danger has passed. Judd leans over and eyes Marjan’s work. “I think we’re good,” he says and there’s a collective sigh of relief in the room. “No fire, it was just smoldering. Good thing we caught it when we did.”
Fires on boats are incredibly dangerous, worse than a storm, a crash, or dragging anchor. They’re one of the biggest emergencies you can have, taking boats larger than the the Firebug down in minutes.
“Is everybody okay?” Tommy asks. “Is anybody hurt?”
There’s a murmur of “no’s” as they all look each other over.
Tommy thumbs her radio. “Nancy, Nancy, Tommy.”
Nancy responds immediately. “Go for Nancy.”
“The situation seems to be under control, but let’s have our guests stay all together for just a little longer please,” Tommy tells her.
“You got it Cap. Late night drinks coming up.”
Carlos finally finds his voice. “Did I—-“ It cracks terribly, full of sleep and smoke and panic, and he swallows hard trying to clear it. “I thought I turned everything off before I went to bed. I always check. I—I think I checked.”
He’d been so tired, is it possible that tonight, that this one time, he made a mistake that nearly got them all killed?
“I don’t think it was you Carlos,” Judd drawls, shining his flashlight around a little more. “Looks more like a short in the wiring somewhere.”
A hand squeezes his and Carlos looks down to find that through the entire ordeal, T.K. hasn’t let go, their fingers still entwined together. A rush of gratitude floods through him, combining with the lack of sleep to make him slightly dizzy.
“I think we oughta disconnect this so we can get the power back on and see if we can get it fixed,” Judd says.
“I trust your judgement,” Tommy tells him.
It only takes a few minutes to get the stove undone. When they flip the breaker and light finally floods the room again, Carlos is horrified by what he sees. Extinguisher dust covers nearly every surface. Pots and pans have been thrown around haphazardly in the attempts to find the source of the smoke. Fruit that was neatly put in baskets is now rolling around, some of it smashed on the floor. The place is a disaster.
“It’s okay,” T.K. says and Carlos jerks his head to meet the other man’s eyes, soft and reassuring. “We’ll get it cleaned up.”
“Yes, let’s get things taken care of in here so we can get a little more sleep before we have to start the day,” Tommy says briskly.
“I’ll go grab some buckets and rags. This powder is corrosive, we need to get it off of everything,” Paul says, heading off to grab supplies from the closet down the hall.
Marjan bends over and starts picking up the scattered fruit, Tommy heads for the sink, turning the water on hot as Judd and Mateo continue to investigate what’s happening behind the stove.
T.K. gives his hand a final squeeze and then lets go to start wiping down the counters. It’s a display of teamwork unlike what Carlos has experienced before and he’s deeply moved by the sense of camaraderie.
Iris and Nancy rejoin the group after sending the guests back to bed, and even though the galley is tiny, they somehow all manage to fit and make it work. There’s laughter and jokes and not a single person makes a snide remark to him about this being his territory to clean up. It takes them almost two hours, but the kitchen gleams again when they’re done.
“What do you think Carlos?” Tommy asks. “Anything else we need to do to get this back in working order for you?”
“No, this is great,” Carlos says. “Thank you. Truly, I appreciate it. And I’m so sor—“
“Uh uh,” Judd says, cutting him off. “You’re not apologizing for something that’s not your fault.”
“Yeah no way dude. It’s not like you left a pot on the stove. Or tried to make Easy Mac without putting any water in it,” Mateo says.
“Babe, tell me you don’t know that from experience,” Nancy says, sending him a look.
“It’s an easy mistake to make!”
“Okay, time for bed,” Tommy says, an amused smile on her face. “Try and get some sleep and I’ll see you all in a few hours.”
They shuffle off to their respective quarters, equal parts exhausted and wired. It will be interesting to see if anybody actually gets any sleep for the rest of the night. “You okay?” Iris asks when they reach the door of the cabin she shares with Nancy and Marjan.
“Yeah, I’m okay,” he says, reaching over to squeeze her arm. “Get some sleep.”
“You too,” she tells him..
He probably won’t. His brain isn’t going to be able to shut off after this. Good thing he just started Madeline Miller’s Circe. That should keep him occupied for a couple hours until it’s time to get up and start breakfast service.
T.K. is in the bathroom when he gets back to the cabin. Carlos pulls off his shirt, realizing when he does so that it’s T.K.’s, not his. His heart does a little flip flop in his chest at the intimacy of wearing something that belongs to another person. He carefully folds it up and is setting on T.K.’s bunk when the bathroom door opens.
“You doing all right?” T.K. asks as he steps into the room.
“Yeah,” Carlos says, running a hand through his hair. “Yeah I’m okay. You?”
“Unfortunately not my first boat fire,” T.K. says. He takes a step closer, eyes searching Carlos’ face. “You’re sure you’re okay? You were shaking in the galley.”
The memory of the pressure of T.K.’s fingers between his makes Carlos long to touch him again.“I um, I did kind of wonder if we were goners for a second there,” he says. “Thank you. For making sure I got up. That I made it out of here.”
“I would never leave you behind,” T.K. says, eyes flicking downward to Carlos’ lips and back up again so fast Carlos wonders if he imagined it.
It feels warm in here, like someone has turned up the heat, and Carlos is suddenly aware of how incredibly close he’s standing to T.K. and how very little clothing separates them at the moment; nothing but his black boxer briefs and T.K.’s white t-shirt and adorable stripy sleep shorts.
He wants this man. He wants him so badly. It’s crystal clear now: he’s never wanted anyone like this, has never felt this electricity, this sense of joy and safety in the presence of another human being before.
Decorum and job security be damned.
“T.K.” The name comes out on his next exhale, soft, warm.
“You should…try and and sleep,” T.K. says, his voice equally soft.
Neither of them are moving, but somehow it feels like their bodies are drawing closer. “I can’t,” Carlos says. “I just—I can’t.”
He reaches out, cradles T.K.’s face in his hand and T.K.’s eyes flutter closed, his breath hitching. “Carlos I—“
“I can’t stop thinking about you,” Carlos says, taking a step forward, letting his hand slide down and wrap around the back of T.K.’s neck to draw him closer. “Tell me you’ve been thinking about me too. Tell me that it’s driving you crazy that we share this room, that we sleep in the same space every night but not together. Tell me that you feel this thing between us. Tell me I’m not crazy.”
“You’re not crazy,” T.K. says. “I feel it. I—“
That’s as much as Carlos needs, closing the gap, his lips finding T.K.’s in a kiss that feels achingly right. It sends a thrill down his spine to finally, finally be doing what he’s wanted to since the moment he stepped onto this boat.
He tries to be gentle, keeping the kiss soft and light, even though his mind is screaming at him to get them both naked as fast as humanly possible. T.K. doesn’t seem all that interested in gentle though. He immediately responds, opening his mouth, inviting Carlos in, encouraging him into something more heated and intense.
His hands wind into Carlos’ hair and Carlos lets out a soft grunt of pleasure when they tighten in his curls, pulling just enough, exactly the way he likes it. He pushes forward, slotting his thigh between T.K.’s, the hand that’s not keeping their mouths flush finding the curve of T.K.’s ass and locking in like a vise so that there’s barely a part of them that’s not touching.
It’s dirty and hot and hard and everything Carlos has been dreaming it would be. Everything T.K. has been too, judging by the way he keeps sighing and making little noises of pleasure that escape from his mouth and into Carlos’ throat and then all the way down until Carlos feels like he might die if they don’t start taking their clothes off very soon.
T.K. shifts, pulling Carlos forward. “T.K.” Carlos grunts out between kisses. “We can’t get in your bunk.”
“You want to have sex in yours? That seems risky,” T.K. says, looking pointedly at how high off the floor Carlos’ bed is.
“No, I mean we won’t fit,” Carlos says.
Boat bunks are barely made big enough for one person. They might be able to squish in there and cuddle, but anything more intense doesn’t seem like a possibility.
“You’re not up for the challenge Reyes?” T.K. asks, flashing him a smirk as he toys with the waistband of Carlos’ boxers. “Should we stop now and go back to our separate beds?”
Carlos does not want to get back in his bed. In fact he never wants to be separated from T.K. ever again.
T.K. grins like he knows he’s won and strips off his t-shirt, sinking slowly back into his mattress, eyes locked onto Carlos’.
Carlos loves a challenge.

here’s your little dose of Love Spell for the week 🤗💕
There’s a blanket around Eddie’s shoulders even though the air in the house is warm. The night outside is warm as well. But his skin is cold. His muscles are stinging, stiff, solid with the ice crystals dripping through to his bones.
She can’t fix it. Not completely. But a brief touch in passing should no longer cause strangers pain.
“I slowed it down. The volatile raging of your curse upon yourself,” she says as she picks through an assortment of dried leaves, herbs, flowers, fruits, and places them in a tea infuser. “Incidental or accidental contact shouldn’t strike at another person’s soul any longer. But anything with purpose will likely cause pain.”
He shivers and pulls the thick, knitted blanket tighter around his body. So. He can’t actually touch anyone. Anymore. Ever. He can’t hug his mother. He can’t braid Sofia’s hair. He can’t cuddle with Adriana. Abuela’s touch is more ice through his body and soul. “Why?” His voice is so small. Brittle. “Why did this happen?”
Abuela whispers incantations that sound like quiet rivers as she pours scorching hot water through the infuser so the herbs she chose can steep. “Did you meet someone?” She turns to look at him and Eddie just wants to look away. “Someone you might’ve had feelings for?”
Eddie quickly shakes his head but it only feels like more shivering. “No. No, he—”
She raises an eyebrow as she watches. He knows without looking. And she knows more than anyone else.
He sighs heavily and too much breath escapes him. “It wasn’t anything. He wants to sleep around. He didn’t really…” He didn’t want Eddie for more than sex. But Eddie doesn’t want to say anything like that to his grandmother. “He wouldn’t have loved me. I didn’t want what he wanted. It wasn’t… Why would this happen? Why would my spell do this?”
There was not even a hint of love there. There wasn’t even attraction exactly. But maybe it’s his curse? How can he ever tell the difference between lack of interest and mystical enforcement of his spell?
Abuela only looks at him with quiet sympathy. She brings him the mug of tea and sits next to him at the kitchen table. “It’s possible you might’ve felt differently without the existence of this curse.”
“You mean, I might’ve fallen for him anyway even though he didn’t actually want or care about me?” God, that sounds horrific. Pining away for someone who only wants cheap and meaningless from him. Would Eddie have followed him around and begged for scraps of attention? Would he have let Jesse have sex with him even though he’d only be discarded afterward?
She nudges the mug toward him again. “Drink, Eddito. It’s possible that without your curse, the outcome of your meeting this boy would have been different.”
“In that case, I’m glad I’m cursed.” The cup grows colder when he touches it, and by the time he lifts it to his mouth, it’s barely hot anymore. But it does flood something warm and soft through his body. He doesn’t ache so much.
Abuela gives him a pinched frown. “I would warn you against praising such carelessness, but I think we are long past that.”
Whatever residual heat is in the mug and his tea, it dissipates quickly. He holds it close to his body regardless, folded in both hands to protect it. There’s not much else he can do. He made his choice. Even if it’s the only one he ever gets to make. When he drinks again, the tea fades the sensation of shards stabbing through his muscles, but he knows the ice is there. One more way that he’s cut off, permanently changed, nothing but fear, anguish, despair, rejection.
“Someday,” she says like prophecy and punishment. “You will meet a man who would love you exactly as you want and need.”
Eddie clenches his jaw and tries not to let the sharp, desolate cold surge through him any more than it already has. “And he’d love me so much, he’d die for me? I don’t want anyone to die for me. I don’t want to do that to anyone. Whoever he is or might be, I want him to live.”

inside problems + 11?
11: What do you like best about this fic?
Oh, this is the HARD question—but I think my favorite thing about it is probably what I tried to do with the Pyrrha-Pal relationship. It’s just so complicated and MESSY: how does Pyrrha handle looking at Palamedes, who is maybe the Only person in the world who understands her exact situation re: hanging out in your best friend’s body after dying on their behalf, but ALSO represents the necro half of a necro-cav dynamic, which… I mean. Pyrrha used to be the cav half of that dynamic, right? And I don’t think she necessarily resents G1deon for the Way Things Went Down 10000 years ago—we know she died willingly and it’s not like G1deon had any way of knowing that there was another path to Lyctorhood, but… still. He still did very much kill and eat her, you know? That was a thing that happened. And now here’s Palamedes, squatting in HIS cav’s head burning her life force and plugging away at Lyctorhood 2.0, which we KNOW Pyrrha doesn’t trust is actually all that meaningfully different than Lyctorhood 1.0 in terms of “do the component parts of the Lyctor (especially the cav) actually benefit from the process?” so.
One of the joke tags I slapped on this one was “who does pyrrha kin harder: cam or pal? answer NOT to be found here but the question sure is raised” and like. Yes, that was a joke, but also I kind of meant it? I just think there are a LOT of complicated feelings there. I think Pyrrha really loves Pal (and Cam, of course!) and wants what’s best for both of them because she sees so much of herself in both of them. but then, because of their whole Situation™️, it’s kind of impossible for her to see a way that either of them can actually get what’s best for them—if Pal gets ahold of the body more permanently then Cam necessarily loses it; if Pal goes for good in an attempt to spare Camilla then everyone involved knows deep-down that Cam probably won’t last much longer before she follows him anyway… so it becomes a whole issue for Pyrrha where she’s not even really sure what she WANTS as a resolution because there just aren’t any good endings. Canon-Palamedes was right when he called Paul “the best and truest and kindest thing [they] can do” given the constraints they’re facing, but… even Paul was in many ways a pretty tragic ending, in my opinion. Right for them, but that doesn’t mean it hurts any less—for the reader but also for Pyrrha herself.
The hardest scene by far to write in this was the one where Pyrrha and Pal argue with each other over the way he treats Cam’s body re: hangnails, but it’s definitely the one I’m proudest of. If anyone gets me started about What Exactly It All Means Line-By-Line I will literally never stop talking and be glad of the excuse, but I think the part that really says it all is the very end: Pyrrha essentially says “it’s not enough to necromantically heal her hangnails like that’s solving the fundamental problem of you killing her by inches just by being around” and Pal says “of course it’s not enough, but what else can I do? I didn’t actually choose to be in this situation” and Pyrrha finally replies with “Neither did I, kid”… it’s just!! aghhhh the (maybe reluctant initially, but ultimately genuine) kinship that they have is Something Else, and I hope I was able to do it justice in this moment and in the final scene where Pyrrha acknowledges Pal as a part of her family… this is way too many words in response to this ask I am well aware, but it turns out I have a lot of feelings on this dynamic! Who knew!
Thanks for asking!
[ask game here]

dipperpines-kin replied to your post: "I rolled my ankle last week and it was still..."
usually if ur skin is purple and swollen theres a broken bone. i hope ur able to get it fixed
yeah that was why they x-rayed it seven years ago when I hurt it twice, and both times resulted in severe bruising and swelling and other signs of a broken ankle. the specific kind of fracture I have, with the tiny bits of bone being loose, is more difficult to spot, which is why they didn't see it back then.
I'm back at PT for the sprained ankle I got a couple weeks ago, so that part is being fixed. or at least, as fixed as it will be, given that I have hypermobility and also permanent damage to the ankle at this point.
agent-jaselin replied to your post: "I rolled my ankle last week and it was still..."
that really is unfortunate. Will you need to get it repaired after it’s healed from the sprain? Or is it just something that will continue and you now know why troubles you?
I'm not sure if my doctor will want to do anything about the loose bits of bone. I went to urgent care, after all, and haven't spoken with my doctor since I got the results of the x-ray. I think that for this kind of fracture, this many years on, the only thing that could be done is surgery. but it might be a case where the upsides don't quite outweigh the downsides, and they decide to forgo surgery.
I get the feeling my doctor will at the very least want to refer me to ortho and go from there. I'll ask her at my annual physical in a couple months. I mean, even if I wanted to, I might not be able to schedule an appointment before then. doctors are so booked up lately.
I love to complain on here, tho, so don't worry, y'all will be able to hear any ankle updates when I talk to my doctor.
eregyrn-falls replied to your post: "I rolled my ankle last week and it was still..."
UGH. I’m glad they found it now, but UGH.
...yeah. it's been a rough couple weeks, tbh. the person at urgent care told me what the treatment would be for that sort of fracture, and then said they do the same sort of treatment (a boot, crutches, referral to ortho, PT) for severe sprains.
and seven years ago, my doctor then thought it was a severe sprain bc they didn't see the fracture on the x-rays they took. but I didn't...get that treatment. I didn't get a referral to ortho (which I should have, after I sprained it like four or five months after spraining it the first time) and I didn't get a referral to physical therapy (which I ABSOLUTELY should have had, given how fucked up my ankle had gotten).
and my doctor back then was GREAT. she was thorough and did her due diligence for my gallbladder and heart arrhythmia. I genuinely don't know why she dropped the ball for my ankle. but because, for whatever reason, I didn't get the treatment I should have gotten, my ankle is permanently damaged.
that's something I've been spending the last couple weeks coming to terms with. (and something that I spent most of my therapy session today talking about; not PT, talk therapy.)
ANYWAYS on a lighter note, my physical therapist thinks that the bone pieces aren't from an avulsion fracture (when a ligament tears away a piece of bone) like I assumed. going off how I originally hurt my ankle and the location of the "loose bodies", she thinks that when I inverted my ankle (rolled it under me), it was done with so much force that the bones in my ankle smashed into each other hard enough to break off small bits.
and I think that's kinda metal.

*crawls over completely exhausted* No Canon Lukanette... Need fluff... maybe salt too...
Luka gave Marinette's parents a smile as he waited for Marinette to come downstairs, though to say he was concerned was an understatement. He and Marinette hadn't been dating for long, but he knew something was wrong due to her song singing even more stress-filled notes than usual. He wanted to talk to her about it, but also wanted her to open up to him herself when she was ready.
Wanting to focus on smiling for her when she came down, Luka shook off the thought and stared up at Marinette's trap door. Seeing that she hadn't come down yet - understandable given that she had no idea he was there - he pulled out his phone and navigated to her contact. However, just before he could tap on it, there was an abrupt, loud, and unusual noise coming from Marinette's room, followed by the sound of Marinette yelping and presumably hitting the floor.
Luka gasped. “Marinette!”
Not even thinking, he hurried upstairs, phone clutched tightly in his hand as he pushed the trap door up and let himself in.
Over a dozen tiny kwami were speeding around her room, each with distinct voices and one of whom he recognized as Sass. He'd initially thought that the Liberty was chaos, and it was, but there was something different about fifteen little melodies all moving around simultaneously and wreaking havoc. They hadn't even seemed to notice that he was there.
There was also a ladybug-patterned ellipsoid lying on the table in the middle of it all, though Luka's eyes fixated mostly on Marinette lying there on the floor, now staring at him with wide eyes as he took in the whole situation.
"L-luka!" she greeted, voice forced. "W-what a surprise! I mean, you must be surprised at my toy collection! See, there's—there’s this magnetism thing going on that lets them seem like they're flying and—"
She was cut off as one of the kwami accidentally dropped something to the floor, making her flinch from the loud noise. Even the sound all around the room was overwhelming, the little beings ignoring Marinette’s panic in favor of playing with her things.
That's when the tears started, subtly at first until Marinette let out a whimper.
Ignoring all the revelations he just went through, Luka hurried to Marinette's side, helping her up and checking her for injuries. "Marinette, are you okay—"
"You know!" she cut in, running her fingers anxiously through her hair. "You're not supposed to know!"
He took a breath, recognizing that he was going to have to deal with these revelations now. "It's okay. I promise, I'd never—"
"No, it's not okay!" she argued, throwing her hands out. "I've been guardian for just a few days and this—this isn't—! I already—and now the kwami are out—!" She slumped and dropped her gaze to the floor, ashamed. "I'm a bad guardian. I'm a bad girlfriend. I couldn't protect you from knowing!"
"Marinette, you're not a bad girlfriend. You—" He paused, something occurring to him. "Protect me...?"
He hadn't been Viperion for long, but Luka remembered the importance given to secret identities. He understood that it was a form of protecting oneself and one's loved ones, meaning that a permanent hero like Ladybug needed to keep hers a secret the most.
"Is..." His stomach twisted in knots as he remembered all the dates she'd had to either miss or postpone. He bent down, trying to look at her face, and when he still couldn't, he gently cupped her face and encouraged her to make eye contact with him. "Is that why—"
"Yes! That's why I have to keep cutting our dates short, and not being there for you, and not going on patrols with Chat, and why I haven't had time to take those stupid Adrien pictures down! I can't do anything right!"
At some point, the volume of her voice had finally drawn the attention of the kwami, who all stared at her like children watching their parent having a breakdown and feeling awkward about it. Luka paid them no mind, his heart breaking as he processed all the information Marinette was telling him while all he could do was pull her into a hug and just hold her.
"I'm sorry I found out like this," he admitted, running his hand up and down along her back. "I'm glad that I know but I would've wanted you to share that secret with me instead."
"I-I'm sor—"
"Please don't apologize, Marinette," he gently begged. "I hate hearing songs with meanings I don't agree with. You don't have anything to feel sorry for. If I had the ladybug earrings instead, I would've had to do the same thing as you, and you wouldn't have asked me to apologize, would you?"
She looked up at him, expression pained and full of so many burdens that he couldn't believe he hadn't seen before. He brushed her fringe aside and rested his palm against her forehead, concerned about how pale she seemed and worried that she'd stress herself to a cold.
She leaned into his touch, then further until he was forced to move his hand away. She buried her face in his chest, surprising him as she hugged him tightly. Her song turned from the harsh wail of an electric guitar to the mellow tones of an acoustic, and he sighed in a mixture of relief and happiness.
"...Luka," she murmured, lightly clutching whatever fabric she could reach. "The movie. We'll miss it at this rate."
He hummed, half in response to what she said and half in content. "You're so much more important than the movie."
His heart skipped a beat when she actually giggled, her grip on him loosening and the hug turning to something she did because she wanted to, not for comfort. "More important than Jagged Stone?"
He chuckled, burying his face into her hair as he returned the hug. "Always. Even my idol can't compete with my muse."
She leaned further into him, her melody picking up hints off a bell chiming happily. She almost knocked him over from how much of her weight she was putting on him, but he didn't protest and even enjoyed it; it meant she was trusting him with her secrets instead of shouldering the weight herself.
"I know I couldn't have known," he began, "but I'm sorry that our dates took up your time. I never wanted to cause you any stress."
"But I wanted to!" she insisted, jolting up to look at him. "It's just—it's been a lot, and—"
He placed two fingers against her lips before she could start rambling. "Marinette, I don't need to go on normal dates to have fun with you."
She blinked, waiting for him to move his fingers before asking, "Y-you don't?"
He smiled. "Of course not. I can hang out here while you work, while you do important stuff."
With a small, amused snort, she pulled away from him and wiped any stray tears away. "You're 'important stuff.'"
He grinned like the love-struck fool that he was, then shrugged. "Well, I'll still be here anyway then, right?"
"That's true." She paused, glancing off to the side in consideration, then looked back at him as she asked, "in that case... would you help me with something?"
"Anything," he answered immediately.
She pointed, his gaze drawn to her wall full of Adrien pictures. "Like I said, I haven't had the time, and... I've been wanting to remodel forever."
He was more than happy to help, and there was a selfish part of him that considered it far better than any movie they could've seen.
—————
It took a bit more time than either of them anticipated to take down all of the images, but between the two of them, it wasn't a hard job. The biggest time-waster during the whole thing was Marinette's rambling, but Luka welcomed it wholeheartedly.
Due to not watching much TV, he honestly hadn't heard about what'd happened when Jagged Stone had been at the bakery and the camera crew had invaded Marinette's privacy, and he couldn't believe how much mental stress she must've gone through. After all, even though he and Juleka shared a room, there was still a divider for when they needed their privacy, so he wasn't unaware about how personal it was to have one's room recorded without their consent, even if nothing embarrassing got caught on camera.
It seemed cruel to know that Paris' supposedly lucky superhero was perhaps one of the unluckiest people he'd ever known.
Almost on cue, just when the last picture was down and Marinette was debating on what to do with them, her phone went off with a ringtone that sounded very much like danger. Looking over, there was a butterfly symbol flashing on the screen and Marinette's expression faltered at the sight of it.
"Akuma alert," she said flatly, with a pout that would've been cute had he not known what it meant. She hesitated, eyes flicking from him to her phone. "Um... look, I... I have to—"
"Go," he interrupted with a reassuring smile. "I'm not going anywhere, and I'll be here when you're done."
"But—" She frowned and glared at her phone, clearly knowing that she had to leave but not wanting to.
"I mean it, Marinette. It's okay."
She looked at him like she'd never heard those words from anyone else before, eyes vulnerable but fond. She gave him a nod, a brief smile flickering across her face before she turned away and rushed to the stairs. She shouted for her transformation on the way out and Luka watched as her clothes shifted into her ladybug-patterned bodysuit.
When she was completely gone, Luka felt a sudden unsteadiness and leaned against the table for support. It wasn't that he was shocked exactly to hear that Marinette was Ladybug, but he was still overloaded nonetheless.
As his hand rested on the table, he felt the heel of his palm brush something and looked down to see the pile of Adrien pictures next to him. It sent another rush through his body at the reminder that she'd asked him to help her take them down. He was dating her, sure, but he wasn't foolish enough to think that there were no lingering feelings for Adrien. He knew where she stood and he was okay letting her test the waters with him, as she did have feelings for him and who was he to complain if his crush wanted to date him? Besides, he couldn't help wanting to see if maybe it would truly make their bond stronger.
Looking at the wall now, clear of anything but the pink paint, he knew this was real and ended up wishing he'd brought his guitar.
Then, remembering the akuma alert on Marinette's phone, Luka pulled out his own and began to search, eventually finding what she already had: a direct link to watch streams and updates on whatever akuma or sentimonster shenanigans were going on. He knew well enough that he would only give himself anxiety from it, but he wanted to watch his girlfriend in action as a form of support.
Gosh, Ladybug was his girlfriend.
He took a deep breath to steady himself as he watched the footage, his eyes locked to the screen and only shifting when he felt various figures drawing close. He looked up to see that the kwami had all gathered around him, watching the screen closely.
"So..." the pig-looking kwami began, fiddling with their own paws like they knew they were being awkward. "Have you ever wanted to be a hero?"
There was a hiss off to the side, Sass cutting in with, "He already has me."
Luka wasn't feeling up to smile at that, debating with himself before sighing. "Marinette works really hard, and her song is full of sour notes right now," he said. Stepping away and heading for the chaise lounge, he sat down and added, "I hope you can figure out how to rewrite them."
The kwami all exchanged looks, some confused by the metaphor and others who perhaps understood but didn't know how to follow up on it. Luka didn't give them his attention, focusing on the akuma battle playing on his phone.
As he'd expected, it made him a little nervous actually seeing Ladybug in action due to now knowing it was his girlfriend fighting out there. He believed in her abilities and mentally cheered her on, but he just kept remembering all the akuma he'd known about and how stressful it had to have been.
Off to the side, some of the kwami joined forces to help pick up some of the items they'd previously dropped on the floor. It was only after Marinette's room looked as it did before that they properly joined Luka to watch the battle with him.
It was a start.
—————
The battle between Ladybug and the akuma (and Chat Noir was there he supposed) seemed to be getting into its final verse when Luka heard the sound of the trap door being grabbed and clicked open, making him jump. He was only able to whisper a, "Hide," so the kwami could act before Sabine peered inside the room and took a curious look around.
Apparently, they all thought that huddling against his back was a great hiding spot, and he could only smile sheepishly at Sabine while attempting to ignore the weird feeling.
"You're still here?" Sabine asked. "I thought you were going somewhere, and..." She raised a brow, looking around once more. "Where's Marinette?"
"Ah," Luka began, his mind rushing for an excuse, "we actually decided to have our date here instead. Marinette just went up to her balcony to grab something."
It didn't feel good to lie, though he also felt a sense of accomplishment in protecting Marinette's secret. Was this what Marinette dealt with all the time; having to lie to people even if she didn't want to?
Sabine glanced up briefly to where the balcony was, then back to him, slightly confused but rolling with it. "Alright. Do you two need anything?"
"No, ma'am. Thank you though," he replied, hoping it didn't sound forced.
Thankfully, Sabine nodded and left without asking any further questions, the kwami emerging and clinging to Luka while they peered at the now-closed trap door. Luka breathed a sigh of relief, then went back to watching the akuma battle on his phone.
The rest of the fight took a couple minutes, and all that was left to do afterward was wait for Ladybug to return. Once again, Luka wished he had his guitar, making a mental note to get all of his feelings out when he got home, as typical music apps just didn't do anything for him.
An expected "thump" eventually came from the balcony, and the kwami drifting away from Luka as Ladybug descended and landed on her bed. She saw Luka staring at her and initially flinched, but it was clearly a reflex from people seeing her as Ladybug where she shouldn't be, and she hurried down to meet with him afterward. Luka hopped to his feet, not hesitating to meet her halfway and envelop her in a hug, earning a squeak out of her.
"L-luka?"
"Sorry," he murmured. "Just... I got to think about everything you must've gone through without m—" He choked off, suddenly embarrassed, then corrected, "—someone to help you."
She blinked, then giggled and hugged him back. "You're my boyfriend. You're apologizing for hugging me and being worried about sounding selfish?" She nestled her face against his shoulder and he blushed at how warm she was. "Don't. I like it when you're a little selfish, Luka. It grounds me; makes me feel like you're not totally out of my league."
Luka scoffed, nuzzling his head against hers. "You're in a league all your own. I'm literally dating a superhero."
"Trust me, it's not as cool as it sounds."
"I disagree. I think you're really cool."
She blushed profusely. "H-hey..."
He chuckled. "By the way, your mom came to check up on us."
Ladybug gasped, then pulled back, eyes wide and concerned. She was clearly about to apologize, so he cut her off before she could.
"I told her that we were having our date here and that you were getting something from the balcony. Everything's alright."
Her shoulders eased. She let out a sigh of relief as her head fell back against his shoulder. "Thank you."
He hummed contently, resting his hand along her back and keeping it there. Then, realizing when Sabine came up earlier and might do it again, he reminded her, "You're still Ladybug."
"Huh? ...Oh!" she said, though with less panic than normal and unwilling to recoil from the happy spot she was in.
He heard the whisper of her de-transformation phrase and winced as the light engulfed her, slowly turning her back into Marinette. He felt the spandex under his hand turn into fabric and Marinette's breath against his skin as she exhaled.
A kwami that Luka deduced was Marinette's flew a small distance away, eyeing Luka warily and semi-critically. Luka didn't blame her - he wasn't supposed to know - but he also knew that it was far too late to change anything now, and there was no way he was going to abandon Marinette or pretend he knew nothing. He imagined that the kwami knew that too.
"...I'm Tikki," the kwami greeted finally. "It's nice to meet you officially, Luka."
Luka gave her a nod in return, then stiffened somewhat as Marinette squeezed him tighter, burying her face further against him like she truly cherished him.
"It's still a lot," she whispered. "Is it okay if you hug me a little longer?"
"Of course." Though, he paused for a moment before adding, "Would it be more comfortable for you if we move to your chaise?"
"Hm?" She pulled away just enough to look down and realize that they were still awkwardly standing at the bottom of the steps to her bed. "Oh! Yeah, I mean—I didn't even—"
"Hey." He tenderly cupped her cheek, offering a smile. "I didn't complain, did I?"
She looked briefly surprised, making him wonder just how much she'd had to apologize in the past. They slowly made their way over to the chaise lounge, Luka settling down and opening his arms for her so she could settle onto his lap and snuggle against him. He leaned back against the chaise, throwing his legs across the length of it, then wrapped an arm around Marinette to make her feel secure.
"This is nice. It's... um—" She peeked up at him, then grinned shyly. "—melodic? Is that what you'd call it?"
He couldn't stop himself from snorting.
Marinette blushed in embarrassment. "H-hey! I'm trying, okay?"
"I know." He took a strand of her hair in his hand and stroked it. "You always try, and I love that about you."
She let out a series of whines at that, but doesn't protest the compliment either. She nestled against his chest, keeping her face turned away enough to still talk to him without her voice being muffled.
"I just... want to know more about you, Luka," she told him. "You're so sweet and I felt awful having to ditch you. Didn't it bother you?"
He gave a one-armed shrug. "You were busy. I unders—"
"Luka."
He stopped, meeting her firm gaze and knowing that he wasn't getting out of this easily. He sighed, admitting, "...Yeah, it bothered me, but it wasn't because of you or that I didn't trust you. I... see—my dad..." He rubbed the back of his neck, realizing that he'd never told anyone this story before. "I never knew who he was. I asked my mom so many times, but she never gave me an answer. Whenever you had to leave and lie to me, I..."
"Oh." She raised herself up more to meet him closer to eye level. "I'm so sorry—wait—sorry, you told me not to apologize—Sorry! I did it agai—ACK!"
He laughed, feeling warm and delighted by how much she cared about him and wanted him to feel secure in their relationship. He squeezed her shoulder in reassurance, wanting to nuzzle her for how cute she was being and just barely able to hold himself back.
"Don't worry about it. I'm glad you were looking out for me, but you deserve someone to look out for you too."
She pouted a bit at the heartfelt comment, then smiled and raised her hand to settle on his along her shoulder.
He hummed, pausing purposefully for effect before asking, "...So, what does the great guardian Marinette want to do now?"
"Oh my gosh, Luka."
He grinned, happy to compliment her until she was completely red. "How about the brave and heroic Ladybug then?"
"Luka."
He reached up to caress her cheek with his thumb. "But, if you ask me, I like the kind, sincere civilian Marinette best."
"LUKA!"
—————
The rest of their "date" passed by smoothly, Marinette's parents having left them alone so as to not interrupt anything. Marinette had idly brought up the idea that the movie might still be playing - just at a different time than they planned on going - but Luka brushed off the idea and insisted that he was happy there and didn't need to go on a "real" date with her to have fun, opting to leave it up to her.
And... yeah, neither of them were willing to leave their current position and exchange it for having to sit in different seats at a theater with other people around. They opted to just stare at the ceiling and talk, the kwami having respectfully retreated to Marinette's bed to give them privacy.
Talks of their past meetings and when she left to become Ladybug soon turned into a game of finishing Jagged Stone lyrics. Luka, either by being the bigger fan or just having an easier time remembering them, ended up winning in the end, though he couldn't have expected Marinette to follow up by immediately leaving his lap. He'd held back a whine at the sudden lack of warmth and wondered if maybe she'd been teasing him with some sort of punishment by going away.
But then she'd returned with a tiny pink gift box, and inside was a guitar pick necklace signed by Jagged Stone himself.
"He came into the bakery the other day and I had him sign it for you," she explained. Taking it out to fully present it to him, she asked, "Do...do you like it?"
"I love it, Marinette," he replied immediately, reaching out to feel the guitar pick and properly appreciate it. "I can have this?"
She smiled in response, holding the necklace out in a gesture that made his heart skip a beat, realizing that she was offering to put it on him herself. He leaned close, feeling the light brush of her fingers against his neck as she slipped it onto him. He silently hoped that it was durable because he was absolutely never taking it off.
Marinette's hands lingered on the string even when the necklace was fully on, Luka meeting her gaze to see that she was looking at him with all the love he'd ever dreamed of her offering him. He didn't say a word and neither did she, but with a light tug on his necklace, he was pulled towards her into a kiss. It was definitely too deep for their first but also so nice that neither of them cared, and not even the Ladybug revelation could outmatch his surprise at being so readily smooched.
Luka reached for the hand grabbing his necklace, Marinette letting go of it so they could thread their fingers together. His song was going crazy as she leaned forward, clearly wanting more from him and him being wonderfully helpless to resist her. He breathed her in, his other hand finding its place on her side. Her own hand rose up so her fingers could settle against the back of his neck, and he couldn't bring himself to be embarrassed by the sound he made when she started playing with his hair.
She didn't even pull away when their kiss broke, merely pressing her forehead to his while they each caught their breath. Despite the boldness she'd just displayed, she somehow couldn't maintain eye contact and ended up looking elsewhere while all he could do was stare at her in a daze.
"S-sor—" She paused, remembering again that he told her not to apologize. "I-I mean, I'm... not sorry? I—ah—remembered you saying that music is simpler than words, so I just—I thought that maybe I shouldn't ask you with words and just... play it instead?" Luka could feel the heat radiating from her blush as she hurriedly added, "Um... is that okay?"
He answered her with another kiss.

headcanons abt reader and nikolais royal duties and small traditions they have set pls
royal duties - nikolai lantsov ♡
pairing: nikolai lantsov x fem!reader
a/n: i love this request!!!! bc i have so many ideas!!! i have a ton of nikolai request in my inbox so expect more of my little ideas ab this <3
warnings: none! pure fluff!
Tumblr media
breakfast every morning ofc !!!
the two of you have the busiest lives as king and queen of ravka
it’s hard to find moments where it’s just the two of you
so breakfast it is
the two of you guys promised long ago so set aside that time for each other
if anyone ever tried to set up a meeting during that time he’d simply skip it bc no one took up his you time
thats what he called it
at first the servants of the palace set the two of you up on opposite sides of the table, as was proper for a king and queen
but nikolai wouldn’t have that
absolutely not
he’d practically pulled your chair, plate, and cutlery smack dab next to him
and it was like that ever since
his hand on your thigh as the two of you ate
sharing your plans for the day with each other
“saints i have the most boring meeting with an ambassador from ketterdam, do you want to have like some kind of emergency so i can get out of it?”
nikolai is kind of a baby but we knew that already
and even if breakfast is fast and rushed, it’s still a little pocket of peace between the two of you
he often steals you snacks from the kitchens
the both of you know that he could easily ring a bell
he insisted he needed a bell
and have all the snacks he wanted
but he insists on the fact that he had to go on a ‘heist’ and get them himself
as if the staff didn’t know he stole the snacks already
you appreciate the gesture none the less
you especially like how he comes into your bedroom, hands filled with all of your favorite treats, the wildest grin on his face, panting as if he’d just escaped death
“for you my darling”
you don’t have over lapping schedules often
so on the off chance you have a formal meeting together
it’s really a shocker and a welcomed duty
it consists of nikolai’s hand permanently placed on your hand
whispering little bits of information and theories about certain people
he likes to save his hilarious comments just for you
sometimes he leans his head on your shoulder
and you observe his face
his long eyelashes and perfect nose
and the way that he’s totally attentive yet relaxed against your body
“thank you for being here with me” he mumbles into your shoulder, placing a kiss on the same spot
you two have the tiny traditions that really make royal life worth it, tolerable
like when you have a bad day nikolai plays your favorite song softly
or when you know nikolai has a rough couple of days ahead of him you will personally see that every room in the palace has a vase of his favorite flowers
every time he noticed he gets all soft and cute
“my favorite?”
the grounds of the palace are gorgeous
yet often forgotten
the two of you agreed long ago that the flowers and greenery were so much gorgeous in the rain
so you two must go on walks when it rains
no umbrellas either
just eachother
holding hands and getting absolutely soaked
you tell him about your childhood and growing up in the countryside of ravka and how you’re reminded of home when it rains
even though he’s heard the same couple of stories hundreds of times
he pulls of flowers and ticks them behind your ear
and you giggle and stick your tongue out to catch the water droplets on your tongue
he often pulls you closer by your joined hands
“i don’t deserve you but i’m so fucking glad you choose me anyways” he whispers into your wet hair
like i said, breakfast is sacred to the two of you
but so is that soft moment right before bed
where it seems like the moon and darkness stole a couple of hours just for the two of you
nikolai never sleeps it a normal time
it’s practically impossible
and as the doting wife you are
you can never fall asleep without him by your side
so over the years of your marrige you manage to change your sleep schedule to match his
usually the two of you write and answer letters with each other
total silence, but the kind that feels comfortable
sometimes you hear nikolai hum under his breath and it almost always lulls you to sleep
you find out later he does it on purpose because he doesn’t want you staying up late before the day of an important project
every now and then you join him in his workshop
he’s set up a little love seat just for you
where you read your book or plan out your next meeting with other royal members from other countries
while nikolai draws on blue prints or tinkers with his latest project
he uses you as a bit of a sounding board
“darling, do you think i should add another level?”
your responses usually sound like “mhm” because you know he really isn’t asking he just needs to verbalize his ideas to really solidify them
as king and queen, you get ready for parties together
often you sit at your vanity, placing every last strand of hair in the perfect place
and nikolai stands behind you, buttoning up his shirt tying his tie
he always lets you add the final touches to his outfit though
you pin all of his medals of honor, the ones he earned, to his royal coat
he loves how gentle you are
the way your fingers linger on every medal and tiny decoration
he kisses both of your cheeks, causing a natural blush to rise to your cheek
he softly pulls at your emerald earings, the ones that match your engagement ring, like the child he is
“these are pretty, i wonder which man with such great taste gifted them to you” he teases
and right before the two of you enter the ball room
he pulls you by your waist
into his chest
and kisses your forehead, then your knuckles, and finally the inside of your palm
“you are the most beautiful queen that i have ever known, and i’m honored i get to stand at your side”

yours - jaemin x f reader
fluff, smut, bffs2lovers, 3k
Tumblr media
before joining you to your cousin’s wedding, jaemin had made a big deal about not being properly invited. as always, mark kept true to his habit of innocently causing trouble when it suited him. ‘i’m like family! where’s my invite!’ but it was hard to fault mark, because of course jaemin had been invited. somehow, his parents neglected to inform him that your cousin had rightfully assumed jaemin would know he was included in the na family’s invite. you said nothing though. especially when jaemin had briefly explained the reason for his displeasure. ‘we deserve our own invite, y/n. one for us together.’ which made no sense at all, because you’re just friends. you’re not together. however you had no idea you were alone in thinking that.
you see, jaemin was more acquainted with your family than some of your own relatives. he was invited to christmases, weddings, birthdays. basically any and all occasions your family saw fit to celebrate, jaemin was in attendance. yet surprisingly, even after having grown up alongside you and mark, a few of your more distant cousins were more than happy to express their displeasure with his more forward placed seat. because, like you keep reminding everybody: jaemin is just your best friend. but apparently, best friends didn’t reserve the rights to things you gave to jaemin. not in your extended family’s eyes. not that yours and mark’s family cared.
yet in the end, like most things regarding you, jaemin knew his attendance tonight had been a mistake. but not because of the petty feud his presence birthed in the lee lineage. oh no. it’s because, unlike most nights jaemin spends in your company - with your hair strewn about, mascara permanently smudged, and a lazy grin etched on - tonight, you were his least favourite kind of y/n. the one where he can’t help but follow you with his eyes, watch the placement of your feet, enjoy the shrill tone of your cackle. throughout the night, jaemin had found himself warmed by the way you drag your balled up fist over your made up eye, how you sing along to songs you don’t know the words to, how you wobble in your heels before you cling to him.
jaemin makes the mistake of enjoying you a bit too much. how you scowl as your relatives chat shit a bit too loud for you liking, how you make a scene of conspicuously covering his ears, unaware of how unbothered he is. how you try so hard to make him happy, in the smallest and largest of ways. so he drags you into a dance when you move to walk over, ready to rip your own blood a new one. “i’m gonna kill ‘em.”
“no,” he states simply, one of his hands slipping from your hand to your waist. “dance with me.”
“who do they think they are!” your voice adopts an unsettling shrillness that he can’t help but chuckle at. it even throws his head back. “why are you so happy? you should be mad!”
“because i don’t care,” he shrugs, tightening his hold on you slightly. “i’m here- you’re here. why would i not be happy?”
“you’re such a fucking leo.”
he still doesn’t know what that means, but he laughs anyway, happy that your deduction seemed to satisfy you. you eventually calm down, a peace settling over you as he spins you lazily around the dance floor. there’s some early 2000s track playing, one definitely unfitting for the way he’s swaying you. but you pay it no mind, speaking softly as he presses his cheek to the crown of your head.
“when do you wanna head up?” up, meaning the hotel room your relatives are also wound up about. it was intended for the bridal party and far travelled guests, neither of which they are. and neither of which you are. but you were your cousin’s favourite. and so was he. so naturally, you two had one reserved. even your parents had opted to stay at a cottage a couple roads over. “i think the boys are all gone already.”
he notes the guilt tainting your tone, knowing how drained jaemin grew from both physical and social interactions of any kind. so you knew well what his answer would be. “when you’re ready.”
“okay,” slipping out of his hold, you drag him over to the newly married couple. you exchange brief goodnights and grateful tidings before he excuses himself to find the jacket of his tuxedo. the search doesn’t take long, his eyes landing on the black coat a few seconds after parting. he does give himself a breather though, his knees cracking as the seat holding his jacket readily carries his weight. he doesn’t dare shut his eyes, knowing full well he’ll fall victim to his fatigue. so instead, he let’s them follow the one thing that always occupies his mind, that can keep him up all night. he finds you far quicker than he did his coat, the pink satin of your dress falling half way down your calf as you skipped over to bid some other guests farewell. he sighs happily, glad you never force him into such tedious pleasantries. you learnt a long time ago that while impossibly affectionate, jaemin’s social clock ticked a few hours faster than any one else’s. so by your timing, it had probably expired a little after the vows. it took a little bit of getting used to, but it also meant for quicker farewells and a speedier exit.
it’s only now jaemin realises this was a mistake. because before he ever gets his breather, less from you, but all the feelings that come from being with you, you’re at his side. he’s learned how not to cease up at your touch anymore. instead, linking his fingers with yours when they rest gently on his shoulder. when he peeks up at you, his eyes blinded less by the party lighting and more by your tired smile, he knows not to sigh, forcing down his body’s natural response to your attention. but when you tug at his hands, bringing him to stand, whispering a-
“let’s go home, yeah?”
he knows this isn’t a mistake. this is torture.
it’s how you pour him a tall, ice cold glass of domesticity with every meal. your hand wrapped in his as you lead him through the hotel. you slip out of your heels somewhere between the lobby and the elevator, grinning up at him as he takes them from you. jaemin even curses himself, his body responding to your needs unthinkingly. he tries to calm his beating heart by counting the floors, his eyes following the analog dial as you lean against his shoulder, fiddling with his cuffs.
“do you want them off?” you ask softly, barely a touch louder than the elevator music. he nods, though your gel nails are already picking at the gold, removing them with ease. “gimme the other one.” he inhales deeply, cursing whoever gave you to him. well, not really. you weren’t really his. but god did you act like it.
your hands slip into his pocket for the room key before slipping back into his hand. he just follows you out, caught in a happy daze as you take him ‘home’. you struggle a bit with the key card, trying it every which way before he leans into you, wrapping his arm around you as he reaches for the card. “the arrow’s pointing this way,” his thumb nail presses on the black arrow indicating the direction you have to push it. he doesn’t see you roll your eyes, but he guesses you do. so he presses his lips to your temple in apology. “you’ll get it next time.”
“piss off,” you laugh, pushing the door open when it clicks. he throws the heels and jacket on a chair by the door before collapsing onto the adjacent couch, his body ready to succumb to his dire need for rest. he can just about hear you rustling through the bags in the bathroom, your feet padding around on the linoleum. when it muffles slightly, he figures out immediately what you’ve returned for when you stop between his thighs. “thank you,” you sigh, his fingers already pinching at the zip on your dress. it sits low at the base of your spine, the back of the dress leaving you completely exposed. he’d taken to placing his hand there all night, his fingers gliding up and down the skin whenever he got the chance. when it’s down, his eyes linger on your hips, the top of your panties peeking out before you slap his knee.
“what?”
“the necklace,” your back is still turned, hair blocking his view. “please?” you add, hand smoothing over the skin of his knee.
“come here,” he pulls you down to sit between his thighs, his legs parting to make space for you. you land with a huff, quickly realising you haven’t sat down all night. jaemin realises this too, your neck craning a bit further to the side than necessary as he tucks your hair over your shoulder. “you okay?”
“mhm,” you hum, squeezing his thigh. “just a bit sleepy.”
“a bit?” he laughs, a little breathless as he gathers the chain he got you one christmas. “i think you’ve earned a good sleep.” he surmises, hands squeezing your shoulders gently. “but you know you were a guest today, right? not the planner?”
“yeah?” turning onto your knees, you glare down at him. “someone had to sort my uncle out, he was steaming!”
“yes, true,” he laughs. “just make sure you’re not doing that at my wedding.”
you feign surprise at that, “i’m invited to your wedding?”
“of course,” his hands squeeze yours earnestly before he whispers, “can’t have my wedding without the bride, can i-”
“fuck off!” his cackles chase you out the room. while you wash up, he makes quick work of his tux, throwing his slacks over the back of the couch, his thumbs slowly unhooking each of his buttons. a true man of leisure, he’s in all but his socks and draws when you return. “all done!” you sing, throwing the dress down as you reappear in an oversized t-shirt. he recognises it almost immediately from uni. it’s his soccer team’s jersey. it has his number on the back.
“finally,” he whines, pushing you aside as he makes his way inside, quickly locking the door to avoid your attacks. he goes to reach for his wash bag just to find the reason he did already waiting unpacked. in a small cup on the side is his toothbrush, resting sweetly beside yours. he ignores the hygienic implications of this and skips right to the romantic. because, while jaemin thinks and often dreams of placing your first name with his last, and while he spends most of his free time with you, and while he would take any number of bullets for you, he still can’t for the life of him figure you out. even after he bombards you with affection, praise, teasing, flirting, kisses. you’re still just you. making him just him.
and that’s fine, if that’s what you want. but he’s not sure he truly knows what it is you want. and this gets him thinking about the little things. how his hand is seldom empty in your presence. how you never think of him second, always first. how you want to be with him always. moments like now, when he returns to find you hanging his tux on its hanger, encasing it in its protective sleeve. his arms slip around your waist, pulling you flush against him. and you melt instantly, resting in his embrace. “thanks,” he mumbles, lips pressing gently to your shoulder.
“‘is okay,” you hum, hanging it over the back of the door before resting your hands over his. see, hands never empty when you’re near. he sways you back and forth, his heart beating gently into your back as you lean into him. “did you have fun?” you ask, squeezing at his forearms, “i know we probably stayed later than you’d like-”
“it was great.” see, always putting him first. “did you want to stay longer?”
“not without you.” see, how you want to be with him always. he wonders how you don’t see it. how you don’t see you’re killing him. “come on,” you mumble, shutting off the light as you blindly drag him to bed. jaemin has an annoying habit of following you in, his body shuffling in after yours, rather than separating and meeting in the middle. it doesn’t allow you much room, by the time you reach your side, he’s encased you in his arms, legs, even his head, his chin slotting itself in the crook of your neck. “nana?”
“hm?”
“i’m sorry about today,” the apology doesn’t shock him, but rather your disappointment. “you’re more like family to mark and i than they ever were. tonight was just proof of that.”
“it’s okay,” he squeezes you a touch harder, trying to decipher whether your words harm or soothe the growing hole in his heart. “i can’t say i don’t see where they’re coming from.”
“what d’you mean?”
“i dunno,” he starts, thinking as his lips press to the back of your neck. “i guess i’d be confused by us too,” he mutters against your skin.
“how so?” you press, turning in his hold, gazing up at him. his eyes are more than used to the dark now as he gazes back down at you. you’re tucked right up to him, the covers strewn over your lower halves. he rests his temple on his palm, elbow pressed into the mattress as you fiddle with his fingers. “what’s confusing?”
he shrugs as best he can, watching his hand in yours. “i dunno,” he repeats, grinning when you huff. “i just- i think it’s hard for people to get that i’m your friend,” he tries, “just your friend.”
“what else would you be?” what else? what else?!
“i dunno,” he repeats for the third time, though he knows exactly what you’d be. but you don’t need to know that. not when you seemed so happy, so satisfied with how things are already. and that’s what’s most important to him. your happiness. and jaemin couldn’t exactly say he wasn’t happy with how things are either, he just knows there could be more to you both, more to this. more to him than being your best friend. but maybe it’s for another night. like he tells himself every time you push a topic you’re not remotely ready to breach. “let’s forget it-”
“no,” he flinches, just preparing to settle down for sleep. “am i missing something? if i am, just tell me.”
“i-” he drops his forehead to yours then. he’s so close, your eyes have to cross just for you to see him. it’s only when he rises you see a change in him. a nervous jaemin isn’t one you’re use to. it’s one that you would rather never see, it truly worries you. especially as he agrees, a small “okay,” leaving him before he kisses the tip of your nose, his lips barely puckered as they meet the skin. he grins as he does, his teeth gleaming in the moonlit room, his eyes open just wide enough to see you. his lips drop to your cheek, warming as your skin does. he hovers there as your hand tightens on his arm, clinging to him. he daren’t move, afraid the slightest jolt will wake him, drag him right out of this sleepless dream. when your grip loosens, he drops his head until he’s right by your mouth, his lips daringly puckering before he presses them to the corner of your lips. he stills as yours do too, your soft lips, now embalmed in his memory, pressing there ever so gently before he rises once more. he waits a second, watching the smallest of shivers rack through you before he dips again, lips falling to your neck. he smiles against your skin, overjoyed as you subtly crane your neck. his teeth drag over your skin as he journeys down the column of your neck, your hands gripping onto him a touch harder when he stops.
his fingers glide along the skin of your side, thumb pressing into the dip of your waist. he stops short of your chest, locked mid motion as he watches you breathe. there is no haste in his movements. no need to rush anything. no need to hurry. all there is, is a beat. a steady one in his chest. one that holds him here, one where he can’t move, can’t bring himself to test the waters you’ve just dared he enter. not even as the pads of your fingers glide along the warm skin of his neck, nails dragging through his nape, silently daring him to move. he pants over your chest, a lazy grin pulling at his mouth as you ask him again-
“what else would you be, jaem?”
he moves unthinkingly. as his dampened lips meet the hardened nub through your t-shirt, sucking on you through the aged material. his rolls his teeth gently, his fingers at your side finding your neglected nipple as you whine out for him. he feels himself slipping into delirium, caught somewhere between a dream and reality, unsure where exactly he’d rather be. he decides it doesn’t matter, not when you’re there. here. with him. letting him touch you in ways he never really thought possible. ways jaemin only ever imagined, only ever let himself surrender to in the dead of night. in the solitude of his own shameful company. he never thought of this. not really.
he had hoped, maybe even prayed, but never truly believed he’d have you whimpering for him. your fingers falling in the gaps between his own, pressing his open palm harder against your thinly veiled heat, your hips rolling against it. jaemin never thought he’d hear your whines, the sound cutting through him like knives, like ice shooting through his veins. he never thought you’d want him. not like this.
“jaem,” he’s with you in seconds, his spit slick lips an inch above yours. he watches patiently as you grind up against his hand, feeling his fingers prod at your desperate heat.
“you wanna know what else i could be?”
you nod. “please.”
“i could be yours.”

self conscious.
| loki x reader | fluff |
short, soft!loki drabbles to get you through the week
anon requested. Could you write something fluffy about a story conscious plus size reader with him reassuring her she's gorgeous...
Tumblr media
“I don’t want to go,” your voice was quiet, and Natasha frowned.
“Y/N come on, it’ll be fun. We haven’t gone shopping in so long.”
Nat, Wanda, and Shuri begged you to join them, and you declined. You’d seen the tabloid articles, and comments on social media, and you were in no mood to try on clothes. You weren’t tiny and petite and thin like the other avengers women, and the media had a lot to say about it.
Usually, you didn’t give in, but the night before you’d stayed up, reading them all and crying. You were incredibly self conscious, it was hard not to be when you were the subject of cruel, adolescent gossip.
You tried to be confident in your body, but some days it was hard.
“Are you sure you don’t want to come?” Wanda asked sweetly.
“Yeah, Stark needed me to run some labs for him anyways,” you shook your head, but the women could see through your lies. They didn’t push you, not forcing you to talk or open up to them, but Wanda suspected you would open up to your beloved boyfriend.
They left you alone, not wanting to push you into joining them when it was quite clearly something you did not want to do. Before they left, Wanda found Loki.
“Can I speak with you?”
Loki looked up from the map he was studying with Thor, his brow furrowing in confusion. He followed her off to the side, studying her uneasiness. The other avengers rarely bothered him or went out of their way to interact unless there was a problem, and he grew concerned, especially once he realized you weren’t with the women.
“Y/N is upset, she won’t come out with us. You should talk to her, I’m worried,” Wanda expressed, and he nodded.
“Thank you for informing me. I’ll go now... Thor, we can finish this later.”
Thor nodded, tell him to make sure that you were okay. Thor cared about you, and you were like a sister to him, and he worried whenever Loki was concerned for you.
Loki went upstairs to your suite, finding you standing in front of a mirror and crying. His heart broke at the sight of your tears, and he immediately wanted to know how to help. You jumped when he said your name, and you pushed away from him as he stepped toward you.
“My love, what’s making you cry?” Loki’s gentle voice surrounded you, reaching all the way to your heart. He hated seeing you so upset, and was distraught not knowing the reason for your hurt.
You shook your head, not wanting to tell him. You didn’t want to say it out loud, and you didn’t want him to secretly agree with your insecurities.
His hands slid around your wrists, pulling you toward him as he knelt in front of you. You couldn’t escape his emerald gaze, held fast in front of him.
“Y/N, tell me, I’ll listen.”
“It’s...” you struggled to admit it to Loki, even with those gentle stormy eyes.
“I don’t look like them, everyone talks about it, they’re so horrible to me. I’m not beautiful like them,” your voice cracked, and Loki’s face fell.
“Y/N, you’re gorgeous. Do you not know how beautiful you are? From the first time I ever laid eyes on you, you were the most stunning woman I’d ever seen. Everything about you, including your heart, it’s all perfect to me,” Loki confessed.
“But-”
“No. There is no exception. I will worship you, my love.”
You softened, and you let him pull you into his arms, hugging you tightly. He held your face, kissing you passionately. You melted into his arms, kissing him back.
“I never want you to dislike yourself, not when I love you so,” Loki spoke against your lips.
“Do you mean it?”
“My love, I’ve never meant anything so much.”
Loki spoke with such sincerity, you couldn’t doubt his words. His honesty brought you comfort, and he made you feel loved, beautiful, and perfect. Your self-consciousness crumbled under the green gaze, erasing the ache in your heart.
“Good morning, gorgeous.”
You looked up at Loki, a sleepy smile adorning your face. You tried to squirm out of his arms but he held you tight against him, burying his face in your chest and pressing kisses to the soft skin. You eventually relaxed, dragging your fingers through his black locks.
You loved whenever Loki got cuddly and warm in private, holding you and always touching you in some way. He loved the way you fit against him, and he loved the feeling of your soft skin, and the delicacy of you that came along with being a mortal.
“Where’s my phone, Lo?” you asked, noticing it wasn’t on the charger. You didn’t need an answer really, you knew he’d taken it and hidden it, and there was no way you were getting it back before you wanted.
“You don’t need to read the hate comments on social media. So, I’ve taken the liberty of making the decision to just stay in bed with me all day, and ignore them.” Loki wanted all your attention, and he fully intended to spend the day loving on you, making you happy, and doing whatever you wanted.
“I have things to do,” you argued, moaning softly as he kissed a sensitive area.
“Not anymore... You know I’d have them executed if this was Asgard,” Loki mumbled bitterly. Loki was personally offended by every negative comment meant for you, and if you were in his kingdom, he would put a permanent stop to all of it. You knew his threat was real, and although the trolls had hurt your feelings, you were glad Loki wasn’t king here.
“You’re so dramatic,” you rolled your eyes, but you couldn’t stop the smile from pulling at your lips from his protectiveness.
“Hardly. Everyone should worship you as I do.”
“Okay, Shakespeare,” you giggled.

Picture Perfect (MHA Boys) *NSFW*
A/N: I have a lot of requests to do and yet I still like to write my own ideas! I will be answering requests all day today so be on the lookout! A side note: I don’t answer every request that comes in. Some I don’t understand or just don’t feel like writing and since mostly all of you are anon’s, I can’t reply back or ask you about it. Anyways, Hope you enjoy!
Prompt: You send them a revealing photo/ their reactions Warnings: NSFW, R18+ Characters: Most of class 1A and then some extras. As I’ve said; for NSFW, the boys are all aged up to 18+
                ━━━━━━༻❁༺━━━━━━
Aoyama Yuga: He’s back at home for Christmas vacation when he receives the first sexual picture you’d ever sent him. He could feel his pants tighten slightly as he stared at the photo, loving the way the lingerie hugs your body and how much skin it showing. Excusing himself from the dinner table with a blush on his face, he makes his way to the bathroom where he proceeds to text you a long paragraph on what he would do to you in that moment. “You look so beautiful my love.” He couldn’t wait to see you again.
Bakugo Katsuki: He’s in the middle of working out with his group of friends when he hears his phone buzz. As soon as he opens the text, he grabs all his things and makes up an excuse as to why he’s leaving. He’d call you on the way over to your place, “Don’t fucking touch yourself until I get there. Unless you want to be punished like last time.” His voice held an excitement that went straight to your core and you waited patiently for him to bust through the door.
Iida Tenya: As soon as he looks at the message, he’s off to a private area. His business meeting went well except for the fact that his phone was buzzing like crazy and it was the very graphic and detailed pictures and messages you were sending him. His fingers typed back as fast as they could as his glasses fogged up from the heat exiting his body, “Please refrain from sending me these while I’m at work.” You smiled to yourself as you knew it got to him. He typed again, “But you do look very beautiful and I’ll be home in ten, please wait for me.”
Kaminari Denki: For once he actually pauses the game he’s playing to answer your text and he’s glad he did. He nearly breaks his phone as a surge or electricity goes through him as his eyes look over your nude photo. Denki is typing when you text something and he pauses to see what it was. A video; you sent him a video with you moaning out his name so sweetly and your fingers touching yourself. He wouldn’t make it to your place with how hard he was so he face timed you, “You’re that wet for me already?”
Kirishima Eijiro: He was finishing some paperwork in his office room when you texted him from the bedroom. You can hear his phone go off and a loud bang, followed by a rustle of papers and his bounding footsteps as he runs to the bedroom. When he makes it to the doorway, he stops and takes in your figure with hungry eyes. He lifts his phone and chuckles, “You sure know how to distract me.” You just smile in response and he pounces.
Midoriya Izuku: All Might knew from the second his apprentice had looked at his phone and turned the darkest shade of red, what was happening. Deku looked to the man who waved him off for the day and watched as the boy ran away. Deku called you with a frantic voice, “I’m on my way, I’m going to take care of you I promise.” The image of your bare body was permanently burned in his eyelids.
Ojiro Mashirao: It was a calm day until you had interrupted his reading time by sending him the filthiest picture and text. He practically threw his book across the room in surprise and he immediately face timed you. “Are you trying to kill me? Why couldn’t you have just said you wanted me?” He felt his cock harden between his legs as you explained just how much you needed him.
Sero Hanta: It had been five minutes since you’d sent the first picture. Sero nearly popped a tent in public as he was on watch for villains a couple of blocks away from your home. He couldn’t leave his station until someone told him he could but the urge was all too surreal. When his phone went off and he saw that it was a video, he didn’t even watch it but called you instead, “I am at work, do you mind? I know what you want and trust me, the minute I can leave here I’m heading over.”
Shoji Mezo: He had never seen something so beautiful in his life and within seconds was sporting a raging hard on while trying to finish his reports for the week. His eyes couldn’t look away from the image and he waited until you sent another one to pull his pants down and send some back along with a dirty text, “Is this what you want?” Oh yes, it certainly was what you wanted.
Todoroki Shoto: He was stuck at a ‘family’ function and he had never wanted to see you so bad in his life. As though you’d read his mind, he received the dirtiest photo and text from you he’d ever seen. A deep blush formed on his face and he excused himself to the bathroom. Locking the door behind him, he called you and let his pants fall to the floor, your moans from the other end making his cock harden effortlessly. “That’s it baby, keep saying my name like that. God I want you so bad.” Let’s just say he finished quicker than he wanted to that day.
Tokoyami Fumikage: Every feather on his head ruffled when he opened the text in the middle of the grocery store. He didn’t even think twice as he left the buggy behind and went home as fast as he could. You laughed when you saw his expression as he flew through the door, “Dark Shadow was right, you’re dirtier than I thought.” Your eyes widened as the both of them came towards you. “Don’t ever show this to anyone else, understand?” Of course you both knew you wouldn’t but for a moment you thought you might’ve made a mistake by that nude as they gave you more than what you wanted.
Shinso Hitoshi: You teased him after he called you a couple of seconds after you sent him the photo that made him hornier than he thought possible. He left the breakroom and went outside to talk to you. “Keep it up and you’ll see what happens when I get home.” His voice sent shivers down your spine. “Oh, and (Y/N)?” His voice deepened and you felt yourself start to grow wetter by the second, “Don’t touch your slutty pussy until I say so, okay?” He heard you mumble a response and he chuckled, he really loved his quirk sometimes.
Inasa Yoarashi: You pouted seeing that the messages had been read but Inasa hadn’t responded. It had been about ten minutes and you were worried he didn’t like them. Your body ached for his touches that you loved so much and you almost started to get yourself off when your phone went off and a message appeared on your screen followed by a picture of his fully hardened cock. “You miss my dick, Princess? Come get it.” You grabbed some clothes and your keys and left without a second to spare.

[Nesting Fever]
A/N: Thank you so much for requesting!! I wrote this all in one sitting, lol I was suddenly hit with inspiration. I hope you like it!! Also, I hope this comes off as a poly relationship. I've never written one before, but I tried!
Word Count: 3,059
Warnings: Always cursing lmfao
~
It was wrong. You could feel it. You knew what you wanted. But it was wrong. You scolded yourself over and over. This had been going on for months. Far too long and more than you'd like to admit.
"I shouldn't want both of their scents in here," you groaned, flinging yourself into your nest.
After the nesting conundrum that took place in your apartment just seven short months ago, your everything had changed. Kirishima had become a very big part of your life. After scenting him to spite Katsuki during a fight, he now seemed determined to win you. Even if he didn't notice. Eijiro basically lived in your house now.
He made you feel safe. His scent soothed you in just a whiff. You almost felt like you were falling in love all over again. You didn't love Katsuki any less. But you were falling in love with Eijiro. You wondered if maybe you'd always been. He was so easy to fall in love with, after all.
The intrusive thoughts you'd had about your new house guest had been growing. Before, they were peppered in. Just an occasional thing. Easy to brush off. But now you'd been properly fantasizing about how he tasted. About how his hands would feel against the skin that only Katsuki and yourself had ever touched.
You wondered how he'd fit in with your family. How they'd react to you having not one, but two Alphas. You wondered if you were being greedy, wanting them both. But you did, vehemently so.
This was not good.
How could you explain that to your mate of a year and a half? The man you'd been talking about marrying? How could you tell him that you were still head over heels for him - while also loving Kirishima the same way? What would he even think about that?
"I could never ask Katsuki...." you muttered. "He would never...."
But the fact that your boyfriend had had a little crush on Kirishima was never a secret. Not to you, at least. He claimed it was because they were best friends. But you didn't act like that with normal friends. Maybe Katsuki wouldn't be opposed....but would he be willing to share an omega? That was the kicker.
Alphas were possessive. They wanted what they wanted, and who was theirs was theirs. The two had been at each other's throats over you. Alpha vs Alpha. Could you really ask them to share you?
Kirishima was a near permanent fixture in your home now. He had never been in the way. In fact, it felt like a piece clicked into place. Your home had felt brighter and been filled with more laughter. Everything was amazing - when the two were behaving.
But the tense air between the two alphas was choking. There were times they both let their guards down. Times when you already felt like you had a dynamic. Those times were amazing. You leaned on Katsuki and Kirishima cuddled against you. Katsuki and Eijiro would act couplely, even when they hadn't meant to. You wanted to just smother them both in kisses.
But you couldn't.
What were you going to do?
You groaned loudly and threw a pillow at the door. A burst from your quirk made it hit harder than you intended. In a flash the door was open and the warm, delicious mixed scent of Katsuki and Eijiro flooded in. They were very alert. Their eyes were wide, scanning for danger.
"The hell is going on?" Katsuki snapped. His shoulders were tense, the tendons in his neck standing out. He was a coiled snake ready to pounce.
Eijiro hesitated in the door. You caught as he stepped forward then immediately retreated. "Are you okay?"
You sighed heavily. "I'm fine. Just...having some issues. - Katsssuuuu...."
You held your arms out and he went to fill them. He kneeled and took you tightly in his arms. He hid his face in the crook of your neck. You relaxed your arms around him.
"Something isn't right," you muttered. Then locked eyes with Eijiro. "My nest is missing something important, it isn't complete."
Eijiro froze, you could see it. Every muscle tensing. His face grew red. But he didn't break your gaze. He swirled his own pheromones in with Katsuki's, as if testing the waters. You had a feeling he caught on. You smiled, reclining your head against Katsuki's shoulder in response and taking in a large sigh.
You were going to have to talk to Eijiro about this later. Maybe, if you could get him on board, talk about your feelings, then it would be easier confessing to Katsuki. Maybe he'd even do it with you.
Eijiro bolted off and out of sight. While Katsuki held you tight. Your eyes lingered a moment longer on the door frame. You had wanted them both in your nest so badly. You wanted them both to hold you, to protect you, to tell you they love you. But it wasn't that easy.
You gave Katsuki a tight hug in return. Your nerves soothing surprisingly well, despite how conflicted you were. But this was Katsuki. The last few months, he'd been verging on an Apex Alpha. He was very conscious of everything you felt. He'd some how figured out how to turn his pheromones into the most relaxing, lulling, mouth-watering mixture. You didn't know what he'd done, but you became absolute putty in his hands in one whiff.
You always wanted to be putty in his hands. But you wanted to putty in Eijiro's too.
Katsuki relaxed you to sleep. You'd been up early anyway. You napped for a few hours. Your dreams were laced with the most potent caramel scent. But soon, a musky, warm scent invaded. And your body felt like water. You were on cloud 9. Everything, everyone, you wanted was bottle up in those two scents. You wanted this delicious mix in your life forever.
When you woke up, you heard the TV on. Along with the faint sound of sizzling. Giving a whiff, you could tell Katsuki was cooking. You tottered out , still stumbling on your slumber legs. You smiled to yourself as you looked into the room.
Katsuki stood with a pan and an apron. He was completely absorbed in whatever Eijiro was watching, even standing very close to where he was sitting. The red head was sitting in the chair you'd occupied for your little tantrum. He had his knees to his chest, totally lost in whatever was on.
It was adorable.
After a minute you yawned loudly and went in. Both of their eyes snapped to you. Eijiro grinned, but looked away quickly, his face staining red again. Katsuki smiled that in love, puppy dog smile he got when he thought no one was looking.
"There's my Omega," Katsuki cooed. "I'm making dinner, since Shitty Hair can't cook."
"I can too!" Eijiro tossed back.
Katsuki rolled his eyes. "[Name] likes my food better anyway."
They both looked at you expectantly. You felt like you shrank. You wanted to dive back into your nest. All you could think was, please don't give me those eyes!
"I like you both," you said, awkwardly laughing as you tried to fix your statement. "I think you both are really good cooks."
"Osha. Whatever," Katsuki scoffed. "Oi, you two run to the store. Get some dessert, whatever you two want."
"But you want vanilla - something, right?" you asked, more teasing than anything.
Katsuki gave you a seductive smirk, then licked the end of the spoon he was holding. "I want anything that tastes like vanilla. The sweeter, the better."
Heat coursed through you. Damn him. Katsuki gave you a wink then went back to the kitchen. You turned back to Eijiro. You saw his jaw clench, and his eyes take one desperate drag up your body. You'd never seen him do that before. You turned quickly, going to throw on some actual going out clothes.
Eijiro was bouncing anxiously by the door when you got back. He caught your eye then darted through the entry.
"We're going Katsuki," you called. "Love you, be back in a bit. Text me if you remember anything!"
"Don't you two miss me too much," he called back. "Don't make me wreck the supermarket because you idiots."
That was Katsuki for I love you too. Please be safe, I will protect you til my dying breath.
"We'll try," you laughed and shook your head.
"Oh, and ask Shitty Hair if he wants anything else in this. I already know what you'll want. Fucking predictable."
"I will. I'll text you."
Then you were out the door. Eijiro was waiting in the street below for you. His hands were stuffed into his pockets and his head was ducked. You'd really messed up, hadn't you? Maybe you should've taken it slower....
"So," you started, bumping his shoulder with yours. "What do you want for dessert."
Eijiro's eyes flicked to you then the ground. He shrugged and headed down the sidewalk. It was quiet as you walked. Tensely quiet. You hated it. Eijiro should've been his usual self. Talking happily about whatever. He couldn't even look at you.
It was wrong, but you were glad to be this close to him. To his scent. Even if it was weird right now. You'd smelt that turmoil once before, months ago as you sat on his lap and scented him. Eijiro smelt like that now.
What was he thinking?
Eijiro still hadn't said a word as you reached the store. He'd nearly walked into the door he was so distracted. He followed blindly by your side as you walked through the aisles.
"Uuuhhh," you mused. Trying to think of what to say. "Do you like bed we set up for you? I know it's not the newest mattress but -"
"What did you mean?" Eijiro asked, coming out of stupor. "About your nest?"
You were quiet. A little too ashamed to admit it out loud. What you'd meant. What you were trying to say in one longing look. You kept your eyes forward, going down one aisle then the next.
"[Name], please....it's been bugging me all day. I have a theory, but....I want you to tell me."
You stuttered and stumbled. Trying to put together a semblance of a sentence. He watched you and those crimson eyes, so much softer than Katsuki's own rubies but just as gorgeous, made you nervous. You felt like a kid with a crush who'd been called out. You supposed you were, in a way.
"I," you finally managed. "It's hard to explain. Can you feel the exact same way about two people?"
Eijiro's mouth flattened into a line. "I guess that depends on the feeling."
There was something in his scent that changed then. It egged you on. Made you braver. Something that made you think he knew exactly what you were talking about.
You slowed your pace. "Can....Can you be in love with two people at the same time and love them an equal amount?"
You saw Eijiro swallow. His whole body seemed flushed. His eyes on you intently. You met them with equal intensity. Everything felt like it balanced on a delicate scale.
"That's a very serious question," he said, his voice a low murmur.
You nodded. "It's a very serious feeling."
Eijiro grabbed your wrist, tugging you a few aisles. And then there, right in between the Chex Mix and the Honey Graham's - he kissed you. You could actually feel his heart thrumming against his chest. Yours met his pace. Then quickly your mouths found their rhythm. It was hot and needy, and he tasted just like you'd expected him too. Only better.
A slight bit of shame chewed at you as you separated. You wanted this. You wanted him to be your Alpha, along with Katsuki. Honesty, Eijiro could probably teach him a thing or two about being an Alpha.
"Do you really mean this...?" Eijiro asked, and his face was more serious than you'd ever seen.
"That's been my issue," you muttered. "I love Katsuki. To absolute bits and I'd be lost without him. But I've fallen in love with you too. I love you to bits. I'd be lost without you. I've been happier these last couple months, and I think Katsuki has been too.
"But I'm worried. An Omega isn't supposed to have two Alphas. I'm not supposed to love two people, not so deeply, anyway. And I don't know how to tell Katsuki any of it. What if he thinks I don't love him as much? What if he thinks I want to leave him?"
Eijiro chuckled, then kissed your forehead. "Who said you can only love one person at a time? And who said it was illegal to have more than one Alpha? There's a lot of amazing people in the world. You can love as many of them as you want, with as much of yourself as you want. - Maybe it's a bit unmanly to admit, but I've kinda had a thing for you both for a while. If Katsuki's down for sharing you, having it be the three of us, then so am I. I just want you both to be happy. Even if that's without me."
You shook your head, you could barely stomach the thought. "I don't think I could be happy without you both now. It's hurts to much to think of either of you leaving. I think I've been falling in love you while I was also falling for Katsuki. So don't think it's just because you're around more."
"So....what do you want to do?" Eijiro was serious again. He held you closely, as if you'd always been like this. You caught as he momentarily warned an Alpha who was eyeing you up. A little change in scent was all it took for them to turn tail.
You groaned. "I don't know. I need to tell Katsuki. If I keep this secret in, I'll burst. And it's not like I want to cheat on him with you. I want it to be the three of us. My two favorite people."
"We could sit him down tomorrow, if you want. I'll wake up early, make breakfast. And we could talk."
You nodded, Eijiro made it sound so easy. "It's as good as any. - Now we better hurry before he calls asking where we are."
You two began towards the dessert section, then silence much more comfortable now.
Eijiro knocked your shoulder. "Oh, and Katsuki was right. You know? About the vanilla."
You groaned and momentarily hid your face in your hands. If things went too, you'd now have two people embarrassing the hell out of you.
You quickly fetched your desserts and the two of you went halfsies. Mostly because Eijiro left his wallet in his other pants and could only pay with what he had on him. You'd given him another kiss for how cute he was. You remembered to ask about Eijiro's garnish on the way back.
You and Eijiro were all smiles as you got back to the apartment. You worried. Would Katsuki think something was wrong? Or that something was going on behind his back? He didn't say anything, even if he did. Dinner was amazing, as you were expecting. Every bite was an absolute thrill to the taste buds.
Maybe Katsuki should give up heroing to a full time professional chef!
After dinner, you and Eijiro offered to do dishes. It was the least you could do since Katsuki cooked. You were washing and Eijiro was drying. Katsuki leaned on the doorway between the living room and kitchen for a while.
"Hey," Katsuki started awkwardly. The dishes were nearly done. "You don't have to worry about cooking breakfast tomorrow, Ei. Butt dial here basically told me everything themselves."
The plate in your hands clattered into the sink. You and Eijiro both stared at Katsuki. He didn't look mad or anything. More amused. He held up his phone and pressed a button. The entire conversation in the cereal aisle played out, right up until the vanilla comment.
"Katsuki," you rushed, drying your hands. "I promise, I still love you all the same -"
He came and pushed a gentle kiss to your lips. Katsuki's puppy dog smile came back as his eyes bounced between you and Eijiro. He grabbed the back of Eijiro's head and pulled him to kiss his forehead. Then left wordlessly out the door.
Eijiro put a hand on his forehead. A little grin coming. Then he laughed and grabbed you, pulling you close to him. He planted a few sloppy kisses on your cheek.
So it was a yes. Everything was fine. Katsuki wanted you both like you wanted them. There was nothing wrong with you. Nothing about this was bad. It was a possibility you hadn't thought of, with a better outcome than you could've hoped for.
Later that night, after Eijiro fell asleep on you for the millionth time, you finally talked to Katsuki.
"You really don't mind?" you asked. "About sharing me? About the three of us -"
"If I was going to be stuck with any idiots forever," Katsuki started. "I rather it be you two than anyone else."
You leaned up to give him a kiss. He put a hand on your cheek. That sent butterflies raving through your stomach.
"And you may have been fucking right," he admitted hesitantly against your lips. "I....might have a stupid thing for Shitty Hair. But that doesn't mean I'll ever love you any less."
You shrugged. "Lots of love to share."
"I'm not fucking sharing you with anyone else but him," Katsuki growled. "You're still my Omega. And it doesn't matter how I feel about him, if he even thinks about hurting you -"
You shushed him. "You'll wake up Eiji."
It took you both to carry Eijiro to your bed. You figured now was as good of time as any jump head long into this. Eijiro immediately clung to you, and Katsuki squished you in between. This felt amazing. This felt right. This is where you were supposed to be. In the arms of the Alphas, of the men, that you loved more than anyone else in the universe.
