SEVEN DEADLY VIRTUES

Summary : In order to become immortal, Jungkook had to sacrifice seven humans who were the opposite definition to the seven deadly sins. And the hardest person to find was the person with the virtue of having no greed. When he finally manages to find one, will he still sacrifice that person?

A/n- heh I'm back again with my broken ass writing, here we go!

In the dark and deep shadows of Daiho lay a secret unknown to the vast majority, the secret of a group of humans - immortal humans. No, God did not give them any special privilege, rather the pioneers of this cult were mad for not being born to be eternally alive. Being furious for this reason, they took the matter into their own hands and did everything to become immortal and it took generations of experiments to finally come up with a solution.

The solution was to sacrifice humans who possessed virtues opposite to the seven deadly sins. Jungkook being born among these self-made immortal humans made him abide by the rules. His parents have killed to live so why won't he do the same?

"Remember kook, never to show your face to your prey otherwise they will get all your rewards instead." Jungkook's mother warned him.

He sighed, "This is like the millionth time you have told me this, I almost thought I was hearing voices since you have repeated this so many times."

His mother lightly hit his arm, "Then you better not forget about it."

"Yeah mom, it's not like I'm still your five-year-old. My classmates and teachers think I'm the most ruthless creature in our school, I don't get why I get treated like a baby in my house." His voice trailed off in irritation. His mother chuckled, "No matter how old you grow, you'll forever be my baby boy." She pinched her son's cheek.

"ow! Ugh, I'm leaving." He clicked his tongue and walked out of the door with his cloak hiding his face perfectly to hunt for his prey.

Unlike the dark atmosphere he had grown up in, the city he was now exploring was a lot more vibrant and lively- almost making him get disgusted. He had never liked something so bright and colourful, the fact that so many people liked the futile brightness of the sun made him even more eager to kill one.

"One person a day" he mumbled to himself as he recalled the rules of the sacrifices. He mumbled further, "Today I'll kill someone who has the perfect balanced diet." he looked at the compass in his hands, this compass could glow when the target was nearby. All he needed was to switch the needle of the compass to the food icon on it and it will be reset to find the person of that virtue.

* GLUTTONY

To be honest, searching for people with a perfectly balanced diet was a little tricky. Because the person he needed to search a perfectly healthy person with an urge to resist overeating instead of someone who has an eating disorder or something similar.

He took his time to ponder over where he could get such a person. "Definitely not some modelling agencies or people working in offices. Where can I find... Where?" he hissed as he kept thinking. "Ah... Right! A nutritionist. A nutritionist must have the records of people who have adapted to having balanced meals." he felt proud of himself for coming up with such a brilliant solution.

And like that, he adopted a fake identity and resumé to work with a nutritionist and at night he went through the records of those people who have visited this nutritionist in the past. And so being successful in his attempt, he found his compass glowing more and more when he was getting closer to the home of the target. Gluttony. He struck off the word on his list and took the unconscious body of his prey away.

*ENVY

The next day he planned to abduct a person related to the church. Even though it was quite a bit difficult to find someone not envious, he found his compass glow somewhere near the church's periphery.

His compass set in the icon of purple fire, glowed more and more when he secretly followed an old man who visited the church every Sunday. Envy.

*LUST

A person with a healthy sexual routine.

Even though it was hard since it's quite rare for people not to be lustful nowadays, he managed to find a boy who was known to be a player but in reality.. that boy only did so to maintain his cool and sexy image without any special interest to knock someone up.

Finding something so secretive was hard but Jungkook managed to find it out through his tactics and by attaining a fake identity to become a teacher in that boy's school. Good thing the boy has never seen his face though. Lust

But no matter the age, jungkook wasn't the one to falter, if sacrificing a child was the solution to his parents' satisfaction with him, he would be most delightful to sacrifice the child. Pride.

*WRATH

He thought that the best person possessing this virtue requires lots of patience and empathy and for that he chose to kidnap any staff working in a psychiatric ward. He was right when he manged to find the calmest nurse as his next target. Wrath.

*GREED

This was hard, probably the hardest of all because no matter how much he thought about it, there's no way a person might be greedless. Even if someone isn't greedy for money, they can be greedy for ambitious future, delicious food, better connection with the lord, anything.

Everyone is greedy of something or the other. He wished he could ask his parents what victims did they choose for themselves but that would result in the failure of this operation. One of the major precautions to take was to not take suggestions from a previously immortality attained human which included even his mother and father. He sighed and thought of entering into the cafe across the road from where he was standing. He went inside and sat in a corner.

"Of course, if finding such a person was easy then becoming immortal will only become a joke." He thought and grumbled. He took out his compass and to his sheer surprise, the compass was glowing brightly, so brightly that he almost flinched.

Was the person he was looking for inside this very cafe?? He glanced around swiftly and thought to wait for the person to leave the cafe so that the glow will decrease and he would know whom to follow.

He expected to get his work done with little time, what he didn't expect was to sit and see people come and go... for hours.

The glow wasn't faltering at all.

And it was getting dark outside. He had been sitting there since morning but luckily for him, there was only one person who didn't leave the cafe at all until lightning and thunder were heard from outside.

You snapped out of your daze at the sudden loud noise of the thunder bolt. "Oh shoot! It's going to rain. I don't even have an umbrella. Fuck!" You cursed under your breath and quickly left your seat to make a run before raindrops would hit the ground.

Jungkook left his seat as well and followed you. And before you knew, in an isolated alley, you felt a hand strike your neck, all of a sudden your surrounding became darker than a moonless night.

When you felt your conscious mind wake up, you figured that your hands and feet were tied behind you, mouth was taped shut with eyes blindfolded making everything even worse.

You squirmed in your position but nothing was helping. Suddenly you heard something rustle, you realized that the sound was coming from others struggling, others? There were more people with you, isn't it?

Someone even tried their best to speak but you only heard the muffled voice, like yes.. it was the case with everyone else. And before you could do anything further, you heard a door creak open, heavy footsteps filled the room you were in.

The person laughed like a devil, "Do you know why all of you are here?" You heard him loud and clear, his footsteps then nearing you, going to your back. He was making a round around all of you. "All of you will get killed tonight and i cant wait for that to happen!" He said and clapped to himself.

What?? Your skin grew pale from fear.

Others were equally frightened. Some even made even more noises possible through that damned duct tape but he only continued to speak further, "Now now dont get upset, it was really hard for me to find you guys amongst such a vast population of imperfect and immoral people. You see.. you all are really special, and before the world could curropt you, i rescued you and i'm trying to free your souls, isnt that amazing?" Your fear quickly turned into rage, oh how badly you wanted to kill this maniac instead!

"Okay, lets start from the beginning." He knelt in front of his first victim and removed the tape from his mouth. "Please let me go." These were the first words you heard the victim mutter in his shaky voice. The kidnapper clicked his tongue, "Well... that's not happening!"

The victim had now started to cry, "Why- whats so special about me?" The kidnapper answered, "Ah! Now thats a good question, you are basically the person with the perfectly balanced diet you know, i thought it'll be easy to find someone else too the way i found you but.. even if they were given a perfect meal plan, they couldn't follow it strictly, isn't that so upsetting?" He said and immediately taped the mouth of the man back.

The kidnapper fished out his compass from the pocket and smirked at the bright glow. "Jeongin! Drag this man away!" He ordered and you heard a few men take away the struggling victim.

He then continued so with the other four people, untaping their mouth, telling them why were they kidnapped and then taping them back to drag them out of the room. You did not hear anymore person struggling in the room so you believed that perhaps you are the last one left.

His steps got closer until you felt his presence in front of you. He detached the tape letting your mouth free, "Any questions?" He asked.

"Why are you killing us?" You asked firmly.

He chuckled, "Didnt i answer that already? I'm trying to save all of you--"

"Bullshit!" You shouted. "You want us to believe that crap?" You were fuming mad.

Normally, Jungkook would have punched the person unconscious but strangely he didn't want to do so right now. Call him crazy but he had never seen someone look so hot while being angry, not even his female classmates looked so attractive to him. He then took a second to look at you entirely from top to bottom, he was right, you were indeed one of a kind. He didnt notice it earlier but now he thanked heavens that you had a mini skirt on you-- "Hold on! I'm not supposed to do this, she's getting killed tonight." He mentally scolded himself and shook his head.

He quickly taped your mouth back and said, "Even though you didnt ask, i'll answer you. You are someone who doesnt have any greed left within you. You're the rarest kind!" He said and ordered his men to drag you away. Just when they were lifting you up, he brought out his compass to see the glow. To much of his horror, the compass wasn't glowing anymore, he frowned.

"Halt!" He commanded. "Untie her ankles." For a moment you were confused 'cause why did he order that all of a sudden? "Now leave us alone." He said.

You heard the footsteps of the men receding and the door was closed.

You gulped.

"Looks like you are greedy now. Have you now developed the greed to live longer?" You flinched at the sudden touch of his hand on your cheek. He caressed your cheek and then tore off the tape from your mouth. "Then i must not be someone you can kill anymore.. isnt it?" You said mockingly. He laughed, "You are smart. But, i can still kill you if you make me mad." He said and leaned forward, you felt his cool breath tickle the crook of your neck, "So you better not make me mad if you want to see tomorrow's sunrise."

"What are you implying exactly?" You asked him.

"Please me. And I'll let you go." He said.

"Please you? How? Shall i sing? Massage your shoulders?" Of course you understood his intention but you chose to play dumb and get his answer out of his own mouth.

He chuckled and you heard him get away from you. Next you heard him drag something closer, you supposed it to be a furniture, most probably a chair.

"You are quite funny, a moment ago you were fuming with anger and now you are making jokes." That day you had then went to the cafe to cool yourself down and pondered over and over again that whether you had overreacted or if you were really a greedy person.

And with hours passing by, you had less and less desires left within you.

That was when Jungkook's compass had started glowing.

Right now, you were looking outside the window of the cafe, the day was sunny and the scenery was peaceful. You still think that that day was probably the most eventful day of your life, you also wondered what had happened with the other victims who were kidnapped. You wished you could report to the police but you didn't even see anyone or know anything about them. You didn't even know the place you were in, so all you could do is just think about them.

While you were lost in your thoughts, someone came and sat in front of you. You looked in front of you at his face, damn he was one handsome guy with a charismatic smile.

"Hi, I'm Jeon Jungkook. Nice to meet you, Y/N." All of a sudden, you felt shivers run down your spine, you knew this voice. It was definitely the kidnapper's voice. But was it really him? Jungkook seemed to get the hint of confusion on your face so he spoke, "It's a good thing that I gave up on being immortal. Now we can grow old together Y/N." He smiled broadly and now your suspicions were confirmed. It was indeed him.

The blood drained from your face.

For me performers in BTS goes like : JM > JK > Hobi > Tae > Suga > Jin > RM

Jimin is superior, no matter who denies it we all know even haters eyes automatically gravitate towards him. Theres a reason why among all member's his fancams went viral multiple times. He gracefully flows but with crisp moves. Basically sex symbol of BTS... no one can say Jimin's performance doesn't make them feel some way lol. Just him wearing his purple outfit with purple eyes and wt hair is enough to captivate people.

Jk and hobi, for me the difference is power and sex appeal. JK gives more power in moves and oozes sex appeal which makes his performance more attractive. He performs like he wanna wreck you lol.

Someone told Jimin always gives : Come and get me energy while JK gives: I'm gonna eat you up energy. Its evident in their performances too.

Tae and Yoongi are laid back perfomers but Tae's cold looks gives him an aura which makes him more appealing to many. While Yoongi only concentrate on expressions while his part comes up. But I don't understand why some are adamant about Tae being in dance line lol. There's a huge difference in movements and stability 3J gives in performance vs tae.

Jin and RM, not best performers but Jin kinda has a cute expression while performing than RM. While RM looks like he's repeating moves which he by hearted. Also many expressions make his performance awkward lol. But it's ok, as dancing line is strong they cover it up.

Interesting analysis. I don’t know how exactly I would place others besides JM and JK, probably similarly as you.

BTS’s performances overall are incomparable and unmatched. But in my opinion JM and JK in both group and solo performances stand out.

For me it is the way JK takes care of JM. In one run episode he puts the socks on JM. It was a simple gesture but damn that one moment made my heart melt, jimin sitting cutely like a baby while jk put on the socks . I repeatedly watched that clip, it is one of my fav jikook moments.

Jeon Jungkook is a man whipped.

Exhibit a) BTS at Atomix. It's a good restaurant, right? And I'm sure they had fun. Ate good food and what not? We know JK loves to eat, so I'm sure it was a good time. But when the infamous tkk photo was brought up months later JK only remembers that day because Jimin said "I'm sorry"

Umm... okay. Moving on.

Exhibit b) Run BTS episode 10. It was a continuation of several episodes where they rode on ATVs, did a bunch of shit, among them, bungee jumping and we know how much JK loves that. But his favourite thing about all of that when asked, JK said;

I mean....

For me this is the cringiest Jikook moment of all fucking time. I cannot watch this. I just can't. And if it comes up I watch with one eye closed because it's painful AF to witness. Especially members' reactions. Even they know JK is whipped. So Jikook go to Tokyo. Beautiful city, they moved around, they explored, even had fun on Halloween with Scream costumes and everything. They were there several days and even went to Disney where it looks like they had a blast. But this, this? Is JK's most memorable moment?! Are u kidding me? Unless "playing on his phone" is code for something else, this is whipped behaviour right there. And look how proud he is while recounting this. W.H.I.P.P.E.D i say!!

Exhibit h) One of my favourite JK moments of all time. When he was asking Jimin for pork. Gosh, how is this man so macho and yet so adorable at the same time??? Istg I could listen to this all day. Someone make it my ringtone already!

Anyway, the thing that is easily missed is the fact that Jhope who was next to JK offered his pork. But JK didn't want that one. Nope. He wanted the one from Jimin who was allllllllll the way on the other side

Exhibit i) Last but not least. I already brought this up but it deserves to be brought up again. BV season 4 members in New Zealand enjoying the beautiful view. They've never been there before. Its their first time. They're all in awe. Its amazing, incredible and they all pretty much "wow" the entire time. But JK, JK is like fuck the view. Staring at my boyfriend is all the view I need

The camera keeps panning out. And JK keeps staring. What did I say? JK my dude, you are

So yes, anon JK is a man in love and he makes me go all mushy when I see him get amused by the most mundane things as long as they're coming from Jimin.

A member will do one thing and JK won't care. Won't even notice sometimes. But as soon as Jimin does that same thing, suddenly its the funniest thing JK has ever seen. Or the cutest, or whatever. To JK, certain things are "meh" until Jimin does them. Then he absolutely loves it.

By the time you and Jungkook make it to the open space of grass that sits on the other side of campus, the film festival is in full swing, with people weaving in and out through the rows of stalls.

It's still the middle of the afternoon, and a cloudless sky backdrops the event with a pretty shade of blue as you walk through the entrance of the festival.

"You warm enough?" Jungkook asks, pulling your attention back to him with a gentle nudge.

The weather had been a lot cooler than usual lately, but today hadn't been as bad.

You take a quick glance down at your outfit, a flowing lilac skirt and a white top, contemplating your answer.

You were never one to get dressed up for others, but this skirt had been left to sit at the back of your closet and you figured a festival not-date date with your best friend would be the perfect opportunity to wear it out for the first time.

"I'm okay," you reply, giving him a smile and starting towards the main festival space excitedly, the outburst of energy enough to make Jungkook laugh quietly to himself as he follows to catch up with you.

For student-run clubs on a budget, the coordinators really went all out with the set up of the festival.

There are stands spread out across the event space, with themed activities and carnival games from movies and franchises. You saw some themed food carts on your way in as well, teasing Jungkook that you could definitely eat the most beignets, the iconic pastry from the Princess and the Frog movie.

At the far end of the festival is the outdoor cinema, where the everyone can lay down on the picnic blankets, if they're lucky a bean bag, and watch a movie to end the night.

An important feat is that no one knows what the movie will be. Weeks prior, the committee had sent out a poll to vote for a movie, with dozens of options to choose from, it would be a fun surprise to find out what movie would be playing tonight.

The film festival was always a popular event amongst the student co-hort, with numbers increasing every year, and Jungkook uses the crowd as the perfect excuse to keep you close to him by encouraging you to take his arm, which you do. It makes him smile for the simplest of reasons.

It's not like he would struggle to find you in a crowd of a hundred people anyway, but that's just him.

You go around from stand to stand, doing as many activities as you can and completely flooding your camera roll with silly photos of you and Jungkook.

By the end of it, you've got all different kinds of bits and bobs, merchandise, and posters from movies and shows.

What to do with them all, you have no idea.

"I saw a stall with donuts and I knew you'd- what are you doing?"

Jungkook leaves you alone for five minutes to go to the toilet and he comes back to find you glaring daggers at the student running one of the carnival games. You stand off to the side, but your presence is hard to miss with you silently fuming, arms crossed over your chest.

"He rigged it!" you whisper scream at Jungkook, pointing accusingly at the man in question, who is seemingly unphased as he hands three balls to a waiting player.

The man lines up to take a shot, throwing a ball at the stack of tins painted like the aliens from Toy Story on the stand, hitting them right in the centre and knocking all of them over in one go.

Your face falls and Jungkook can't help but break out into laughter, quickly composing himself when he sees you frowning deeply.

"Okay babe, let's go find something else.."

An arm snakes around your waist as Jungkook easily steers you away from the stall, still slightly laughing, making you scowl.

You get over it quickly enough, eating the donut Jungkook had gotten for you and eating it as you walk past more of the stalls.

Jungkook sneaks a glance at you every once in a while, smiling as he listens to you talk his ear off about random movie trivia you have stored in that brain of yours.

He's really happy to be doing this with you.

With the new development in your friendship, he hadn't had done much of the friendship part with you in a while, and it was nice to do something without having to please the other- in that way at least.

His daydreams come to an abrupt pause when he hears you call someone's name, waving your hand in one direction and then walking off. His arm instinctively tightens around your waist, but his feet carry him to follow you anyway.

"Minwoo!" you exclaim, stopping in front of a tall young man with an undeniably pretty face that makes Jungkook eye him carefully.

"Yn? I didn't know you were coming to the festival!" he says, and Jungkook watches as you leave from his grasp and give the man a hug. His arms go around you respectively, although Jungkook notes how his hand is on your lower back, and you're comfortable with it.

"I wasn't going to, but this one dragged me here," you tease nodding over to Jungkook, who forgets he's supposed to be acting annoyed as he grins, making you roll your eyes playfully.

"Jungkook, this is Minwoo- we have social economics together, and Minwoo, this is my best friend, Jungkook."

The two men acknowledge each other politely, and Jungkook seems to mask his emotions perfectly because Minwoo doesn't seem to notice the slight stinke eye that Jungkook gives him.

He's a nice guy, Jungkook can see that, but when he'd invited you to the festival he hadn't expected to become the third wheel in what was supposed to be your night together.

He trails behind as you and Minwoo make the rounds again, playing game after game, and of course he doesn't miss the way Minwoo just seems to be talented at everything.

It's a wonder how no one can see the unadulterated jealousy radiating off of Jungkook.

"Why the long face?" you ask, bumping a hip against his as you walk through the festival.

You'd noticed earlier that Jungkook had gone quiet, seeing him keep to himself while he watched you and Minwoo play games.

Ever the competitive one, you'd think he would want to show Minwoo who the king of carnival games was but instead he had just watched from beside you.

When you nudge him for an answer, Jungkook still doesn't reply.

The sun was beginning to set, and the sky bleeds oranges and yellows as you walk together in an odd kind of quiet.

He doesn't want to say anything, obviously, because Minwoo is a great guy who's done nothing wrong, but he can't help but feel left out when you're laughing with Minwoo, and telling stories with Minwoo, when you were supposed to be here with him.

Jungkook isn't a jealous person, not with girlfriends and not with friends. But he turns a certain shade of green when all of your attention is suddenly on the person he's never even heard about before today.

"I just-"

But before he can even say anything, your attention is being stolen once again when Minwoo comes back from the bathroom, smiling as he jogs to catch up with the two of you.

"Oh, Yn! The lanterns are starting soon, let's go!"

His heart sinks to his stomach when he hears that and Jungkook watches your eyes light up as you're reminded of what you were most excited about today.

Perfectly themed for Tangled, people could release environmentally-safe lanterns into the sky once the sun set, and then after everyone would settle down at the outdoor cinema and watch the chosen movie to finish off the night.

An experience from your favourite film of all time and Jungkook has to share you.

Begrudgingly, Jungkook let's you drag him to where the lanterns are being released. Though, his grimace melts away at the look on your face; absolutely in awe as you watch people release their own into the sky.

Your eyes shine with pure happiness, as you wait in line, and when it's your turn to get a lantern, you rush up with the excitement of a six year old. You turn to look at Jungkook, grinning from ear to ear, and he nods with a smile, encouraging you to go forward.

It makes his heart warm.

"She talks about you a lot, you know."

With a turn of his head, Jungkook looks at Minwoo- who he didn't even realise was standing next to him. He's staring ahead, looking at you with fondness, and acceptance.

"What?" Jungkook asks.

"I didn't understand at first, but then I saw how ready you were to cut my head off tonight,"

Jungkook's neck runs hot with the fact that maybe he was a little obvious.

"and I realised.. she's yours."

Minwoo finally turns to look at Jungkook, and the sadness that lingers there makes Jungkook flinch.

And that's when it dawns on him.

"You like her too," he says and suddenly it's like the world has been turned on its side.

You like her too..

Stuffing his hands into his jeans, Jungkook swallows, uncomfortable with the revelation that he could be harbouring a small amount of feelings for you.

Maybe it's familiarity, but he never sensed a difference in how he felt about you. He cares for you the same and loves you the same, maybe there's just something more now.

But when he looks at you, holding a lantern in your hands, the flames dancing across your face and lighting up your smile as you get ready to release it, Jungkook knows that these feelings can't stay.

Nothing would change, you promised each other.

And Jungkook would rather die than have you look at him differently because he was stupid enough to become attached.

"Sorry for acting like a douche.." the apology comes in the form of an awkward laugh, and Minwoo all but takes offence, shrugging it off with a smile as the two men look back at you.

"I would be the same."

You finally release the lantern, before running over to Jungkook in time to watch as it floats higher higher above the festival goers.

He tucks you under his arm, resting his chin on your head as you sigh contently.

"You having fun?" he asks quietly, hand caressing your arm when you shiver from a passing breeze.

You take one look at the lanterns floating around you, feeling the strings of your heart being tugged at as you look up at Jungkook with a smile.

"The most."

There's a buzz of anticipation amongst the crowd as everyone waits to see the movie chosen for the night, with people taking up space on blankets and pillows, bean bags and mini chairs, and pigging out on food while they wait for the movie to start.

Minwoo had found a group of friends to sit with, telling you and Jungkook to enjoy the rest of the night and that he'd see you in class.

You miss the look of acknowledgment the two share before Minwoo goes off in the opposite direction.

You manage to grab one of the blankets provided for the night, laying it down on some grass towards the back, giving you a perfect unobstructed view of the screen.

"Leave some popcorn for the actual movie!" Jungkook berates with a laugh, taking the box from your hands and stuffing a handful of popcorn into his mouth.

"We can buy more," you roll your eyes, snatching it back.

The time you spend waiting for the movie to start is spent with the light banter that isn't unusual for you and Jungkook, along with seeing who can catch the most gummy worms in their mouth and taking aesthetic pictures for the sake of memories.

As you're scrolling through the photos you took throughout the day, listening to Jungkook rant about an Overwatch game he played, the lights finally dim, submerging the outdoor cinema in darkness before the screen comes to life.

The crowd quiets down, watching the cliche film countdown reach zero before the opening credits of the movie start to play.

It's when you see that familiar scribbly writing on the screen that you realise what classic romance was voted top movie for the night.

You let out an unintelligible sound of excitement, shoving Jungkook's shoulder and pointing obnoxiously as if he can't see the giant screen in front of him.

Jungkook rolls his eyes, but smiles to himself as he watches you give your undivided attention to the movie. Your big eyes twinkle in the light, and he has to look away multiple times when he realises that he's staring.

Jungkook lays against a pile of pillows while you're sat upright, nursing the bowl of popcorn in your lap as you watch the screen avidly, there's a jacket draped over your shoulders courtesy of Jungkook, who hadn't even thought twice when he saw you shiver against the breeze, shrugging out of it and hanging it around you without a word.

You've both seen this movie before, but it could never get old. The emotional rollercoaster of Kat and Patrick's love story? It's just iconic.

And you can't complain about having to see Heath Ledger's face magnified on the big screen.

It takes one stretch of your arms and crack of your back with a groan for Jungkook to grab your waist and haul you down against his chest. He justifies his actions by saying he didn't want to hear you complain about a sore neck tomorrow.

You scowl at the way he half man handled you, but you can't complain and say it isn't comfortable. Or warm.

You cuddle in closer, like you have a million times before, laying your cheek against his chest.

But for some reason, his heart quickens, and Jungkook hopes hard that you don't take notice.

"Thank you for inviting me," you murmur when the movie nears its end.

It's quite late by now, and the end of your sugar rush seems to make you a little drowsy. You'd been on the edge of falling asleep more than once thanks to the comfort that came from being pressed up against Jungkook's warm body.

"Of course," he smiles, placing a chaste kiss on your head. He tries to imagine how different the night would be if he had gone with Taehyung like he was supposed to.

Perhaps certain things would still be left undiscovered.

When the movie finishes, Jungkook packs up the area you'd both sat in, throwing away your rubbish and folding up the blanket while you stand there watching .

You'd offered to help, but Jungkook assured you he had it under control.

"Ready to go?" he asks once he's finished, offering his arm to you. You nod, taking it and letting him lead the way home.

The walk back to the apartments is filled with background chatter since most people had walked to the festival.

You and Jungkook walk in a comfortable silence. He could tell you were already tiring out, so he hadn't made any remarks or teasing banter for your sake.

It feels silly really, how much this whole night had felt like a date. This was the part where he would walk you home, maybe kiss you before you bashfully push him away and disappear inside.

Except, he's already kissed you- fucked you even. All before a first date. Not that the two of you would ever go on a date anyway, because that's what couples do, and you weren't a couple.

You were just two friends who occasionally hooked up.

You weren't going to fall in love any time soon. You're not supposed to fall in love.

In the quiet of the night as he walks you home, Jungkook tries to convince himself just that.

hi ! I’ve been wanting to request a sumin x reader one shot for a while but I haven’t got the inspiration , while I checked your song prompt list I saw Jk’s ICONIC song. Still with you. So here’s more context cuz my mind went CRAZy abt this. sumin and reader met in college , they both were in the same arts class , with their commun friend , Jinsik. Reader is an outgoing person , they (you can use any pronouns I don’t have preference ) are the type of person who isn’t scared to talk to new persons or to make new friends. And actually reader is quite popular for their bubbly personality too. So reader and Sumin met at their usual art class. Everything’s went well during the year and they grew closer and closer. Until prom. The party ended , and it was raining , everyone went back home , but sumin and reader. Sumin told reader about his and jinsik’s idols career and reader told about their career too , like reader is either a trainee under a big compagne like hybe or jype, up to you! Time flew by and they don’t talk as much as they used to , if I may say they don’t talk at all lately. But they both are stuck in each other’s mind , so one rainy days , after a long time no see each others , they met. They both were walking alone in the rain , reader with an umbrella and sumin just walking , soaking wet from the rain. But when he met reader’s eyes all his thought vanished and he wasn’t thinking about anything but reader and his feeling for them

You never took your popularity for granted, never joining the group of girls who think they're hot shit, taking everything with a grain of salt. You had a decent amount of friends. Always jumping to help others, always conversing in the halls during free time, a people-person, is what people would describe you as. A normal day in art, you and your good friend Jinsik were sitting and talking, “oh right, my friend Sumin is supposed to transfer today, he’s a lot like you, i think you'll like him” Jinsik said, sketching an eye on his paper. “Like me? You mimicked, looking up from your own paper, in response Jinsik nodded, “yeah, he's super friendly you’ll balance each other” Jinsik said, lifting his head to look at you.

“What makes you think I'm willing to get along with him?” you teased, Jinsik dead panned at you, a few small giggles left your mouth “ok sorry your friend sounds lovely” you giggled. Jinsik rolled his eyes, focusing back on the drawing in front of him, a few minutes later a group of kids called your name drawing your attention to them. Getting up you quickly walked to their table, sitting in the empty seat, giggles and laughter echoed from the table as you helped them with their work. “All I'm saying is if you want an A use black paper with a white pencil, the teacher eats it up” you giggled, the students laughing and listening. Almost 20 minutes later you made your way back to your desk, stopping to see a male with green hair in your seat. Putting on a huge smile as you made your way in front of your desk, the guy looked confused “told you someone sits there” Jinsik giggled.

“Dont worry about it, you can have my seat” you said quickly stopping him from standing “what's your name?” you asked, pulling a chair up sitting in front of him. “Sumin” the boy now known as Sumin giggled “what's yours?” Sumin asked tilting his head slightly to the side, “yn, nice to meet you Sumin” you giggled holding out your hand waiting for a hand shake, Sumin reached up shaking your hand energy raiding off him like an EMF pump. “Sorry for taking your seat” Sumin rubbed the back of his neck slightly embarrassed, “don't be it's fine you just wanted to sit next to your friend i understand” you giggled, Sumins eyes slightly lit up “your even kinder than Jinsik said!” Sumin giggled. 30 Minutes of you and Sumin talking and Jinsik being the third wheel later, the three of you made your way to the cafeteria, you and Sumin slightly ahead of Jinsik talking.

“damn , kinda feel like a third wheel..” Jinsik mumbled, you and Sumin bursted out laughing, the three of you sat at a table in the middle of everything, “do you normally sit here” Sumin asked, before you got a chance to answer Jinsik answered for you, “people like to come up and sit with us” Jinsik said getting comfortable in his seat, “they really need to put better seats in here” you mumbled shifting uncomfortably in your seat, Sumin and Jinsik hummed in agreement, you and Sumin started talking again, kids came and left, this routine went on for a year till the end of school.

“Yn i think you should go, it's the end of school for our whole lives.” Jinsik said laying on your bed, “yeah he’s right, it’ll be fun you won't even have to stay the whole night” Sumin said, “are you two working together now?” you giggled, after hours of convincing from both of your friends you agreed, “What y’all think about this one?” you said holding up an outfit, Jinsik scrunched his nose “too revealing” He said, Sumin sighed “you'll look great in it” Sumin said standing up holding the outfit out to see it properly, “your so weird” Jinsik said rolling on his stomach, Sumin slightly rolled his eyes, causing you too giggle. “Finally!” Jinsik said dramatically, standing up. “Woah…you look…” Sumin said trying to find the right words “ugly? Throw up? Death? Absurd? Disgusting?” you asked jokingly,“nono amazing!” Sumin said a faint blush forming on his face, Jinsik took notice of the faint blush, chuckling making his way out your bedroom door.

The party went just like you thought, slightly overwhelmed by the amount of noise, making your way outside breathing in the fresh air, you heard the door shut, “partied out?” Sumin jokes “overwhelmed too much noise” you giggled, Sumin nodded in response “we’ll still be friends after college right?” Sumin asked doubt falling on his face, “I hope so, we never know what the future has for us, so I can't confirm nor deny” you sighed, turning to face Sumin, you noticed people start leaving “id head home before the rain starts” a girl said passing by. You and Sumin walked home together.

Jinsik sent a text saying he had already arrived home. “It's just…yn look….me and Jinsik are in a boy group called Xikers…once collage ends tomorrow, we won't have as much freedom as we do now..” Sumin said, looking down at the ground, “Sumin..” you mumbled grabbing his attention “im a trainee..i understand” you said grabbing his hand reassuringly “a trainee?” Sumin questioned “yeah under hybe, so i wont have free time either but we can try thats all that matters” you said softly, rubbing your thumb on the back of his hand.

That conversation was the last you'd have with Sumin, Jinsik old text left with a thumbs up from your end. That was until you and Sumin crossed paths 4 years later at Kcon “Although I'm standing still under the frozen sunset, I want to walk towards you one step at a time, Still with you, Dark room, no lights, I shouldn't get used to it, but I'm used to it again” Sumin thought to himself before making him way up to you, rebuilding the forgotten friendship, this time growing to something much more.
