jay not asking coach about letting lonnie onto the team bc he doesn’t want to do anything coach might disagree with…….
#‘coach trusts me…’ like what if i cried#man i wish they made more of a thing of jay being TEAM CAPTAIN#<- i’ve made a post before abt how easily he gives it up & jay not liking positions of power etc etc#but i do think he treats the role like it could be taken away at any moment#coach TRUSTS him. holy shit coach trusts him#the first positive adult figure in his life trusts him to take care of the team#train them and critique them and lead them to victory#and coach probably wouldn’t have cared abt lonnie being on the team#but jay is sooooo hesitant to ask#coming from the ‘if you want it take it and if you can’t take it break it’ guy#like this is the one thing he doesn’t want to risk breaking…….#and then obviously he gives it up!!!!!#he gives up the thing coach TRUSTED HIM WITH bc it was the only way to let lonnie on the team#& mr ‘my only dislike is women being unhappy’ was like I CANNOT REST UNTIL LONNIE IS ON THE TEAM#it’s suchhhhh a sweet gesture not only from a hashtag feminism standpoint#but also character wise for jay#like this precious thing that coach has trusted him with but didn’t really want that much anyway…..#it’s going to mean more to lonnie if she had it. even though it means everything to jay#oh it makes me crazy#damn my mum was right. i think too deeply about things#im like i analyse things a normal amount and then i’m writing essays about 1 line from descendants 2#I AM UNWELL#anyway. jesus christ#descendants#jay son of jafar#EDIT i’m not finished actually#do you think jay fears the repercussions? what would happen if he went against coach’s word?#bc sure. he knows coach is nice. he knows auradon isn’t like the isle#but. ‘you don’t want to be at my house at dinner time’…….#he is still scared of his dad. you know. he can never get the lamp he can never do anything right

⁖Title: multitudes ⁖Characters: Jungkook x female OC, reader (any gender) ⁖Genre: family au. non-idol au. ⁖Rating: general ⁖Words: 1.3k ⁖Warnings: reader has an adult child who is married to Jungkook. Past death of a pet referenced. Neurodivergent character (unspecified; discussed). Manic episode. ⁖Summary: You can trust him with your heart. ⁖AN: For T, who shines burning-bright. Thanks to @sugalaritae and Jester for beta reading. Sequel to prom date
ㅇㅇㅇㅇㅇ
“She went out for a run, Coach.”
Jungkook’s words are simple, but the tone is all wrong. His calling you “coach” had started as a joke when you pulled him aside to talk him through how he would propose to her, but it stuck around and the way he says it now is with both respect and worry, as if he’s lost something precious of yours and is terrified of the consequences.
“When?” you ask. Where is pointless. If he knew, he wouldn’t be calling you.
“Early. Around four, if I had to guess.”
“And you didn’t stop her?” You know he’s not her keeper, but it shouldn’t be that hard to just—
“I was mostly asleep. Just saw her putting on her running shoes and headband and figured I’d snooze until she was back. I don’t think I really realized the time. Not until I woke up later, anyway.”
Fuck, you think. Four hours. In four hours she could have run all the way to the nature preserve, around the lake. She could be deep in the woods or, just as easily, in the heart of the city, slipped into a café or down an alley.
It isn’t the first time.
“I already drove around the neighborhood,” Jungkook is saying, “and up to the reservoir.”
“Hang on,” you say, setting down the phone so you can tie your shoes. You don’t know what you’re going to do next, but it will probably require shoes, so it feels like the right choice. It feels like doing something useful. You can picture your son-in-law sitting high on the seat of his Tahoe, peering out the windshield, one hand raised to shield his eyes from the sunrise. He probably drove around for a good hour before calling you for help.
Not that you can do anything else.
ㅇㅇㅇㅇㅇ
Jungkook meets you outside your house, idling in your driveway as you lock the door behind you and then, on second thought, unlock it just in case she turns up and needs to get inside. Stranger things have happened, after all.
“So I was thinking we split up,” he says, not even waiting for you to greet him in person.
“Wait,” you say. “Slow down. Was there any warning this time or did she just get up and go?”
He toys with his wedding ring, fidgeting as he thinks through your question. “Last night she was maybe a little keyed up. Not fully manic, but excited. Telling me about a kind of deep-sea mollusk that had just been discovered. Her eyes–you know the look.”
You do, after all, know it well. You’ve known it since she first opened them twenty-six years ago. That fire behind them, burning white-hot. The scream that went with it, piercing and furious. And you’ve seen it over and over again when she’s taken by an impulse when you would have wished her to be more cautious.
Wished her to be, you remind yourself again, is irrelevant. She simply is, burning-bright, rage and wonder and joy and everything so big. So loud. So much. You never want her to shrink to less, but at the same time–
You’re tired. You’ve been tired for a long, long time.
You’re trying to keep up with Jungkook as he tells you what they talked about last night, how the conversation jumped from mollusks to ostracods to a pinpoint memory of something said in anger one weekend in college, what she was wearing then, holding then, drinking then. To the vote in Tennessee, protests both past and current. To the Devonian System. To teeth: her teeth, his teeth, shark teeth. Carnivorous plants, and the poaching thereof. To the venus flytrap sea anemone. To the cat you had when she was seven, Sweaters, dearly departed, who you haven’t thought of in years. How she cried about Sweaters over styrofoam containers of delivered curry, then leapt up, determined to make a memorial.
“How?” you ask.
“How what, Coach?”
“How can you remember it? How can you keep up?”
“I don’t know, Coach. I just do. I’m sure I’m missing something else important–some big life skill or something just to make brainspace for it–but this stuff doesn’t stress me. I can listen to it for hours and remember it all.”
You’re so thankful for him. For the man he is. For the qualities he takes for granted. For being someone you can trust with your heart. You want to show him how much he means to you so you pull him to you in a hug, tight and grateful.
“Hey,” he says, patting you on the back. “Hey, don’t worry. We’ll find her.”
You realize he thought you were breaking.
ㅇㅇㅇㅇㅇㅇ
The two of you end up driving together rather than splitting up. You watch as his hands grip the wheel, tattooed knuckles blanching white. You feel small in the passenger seat, an outside observer even though he pulled you in. Jungkook looks at home in the massive seat, anxious but determined as he decides where to go, following routes that she might have taken hours ago, reaching destinations he knows she’s been before.
There has to be a clue.
You think back through what Jungkook told you about the previous night, trying to find the missing pieces. How, you puzzle, did she go from memorializing Sweaters to taking off in the dark of the morning?
“Did she go to sleep or did she stay up and actually make a memorial?” you ask.
“She started. Gathered up some photos, some scraps of paper and fabric and some knitting stuff.”
“Knitting stuff?”
“Yarn. Needles or hooks or whatever. You know.”
“Did she have a pattern?” You sense a theory floating in the ether, just beyond your grasp.
Jungkook pauses before answering. “I don’t know,” he confesses.
“Does she usually show you if she does?”
“Yes,” he says with absolute certainty. “Therefore…no.”
“Where did she leave the stuff she was working on?”
“I–” he stops, horrified. “I didn’t see it this morning. She must have taken it with her.”
You can picture her now, feet shoved in her pink running shoes, jacket zipped up to her chin, her hair scraped into a tight ponytail. And you can picture the ball of yarn stuffed into one armpit, scraps of paper covered with doodles and glue pinned under the other arm. Tight and safe.
The last thing to picture now is where she would need to go with it.
“Jungkook.”
“Yeah, Coach?”
“Did she say where Sweaters died?”
“No.”
“Take a left up ahead.”
ㅇㅇㅇㅇㅇ
You navigate, guiding him across town to the house she grew up in, where she stored treasures in the cubbyhole under the stairs, where her height was marked on the kitchen door frame every year. The porch where you first saw him looking both terror-stricken and, inexplicably, worthy.
There.
She’s there, pink shoelaces untied, ponytail askew, yarn strung up between the trees in your old front yard. You don’t need a yard like that now, don’t have the back for mowing like you used to. The memories are strong here, though, and as you watch her hook a tidy loop of yarn through a hole in the top of a photo, you have to admit that having left it behind also meant leaving behind the memories attached to it.
She hasn’t seen you yet. Jungkook parks on the street. You reach for the door handle and get out, walk toward her, call her name.
He’s faster. She turns and goes to him, safe in his arms. You’re barely a glance over his shoulder, a smile as she meets your eyes confirming that she’s all right.
He holds her as you pick up the pieces, gathering the photos and yarn, the little felt mice with their knotted string tails, the crumpled quilting cotton. It’s all precious to her so you smooth it out on the seat next to you when you settle into the backseat of the Tahoe, ready to hand it over to someone worthy of holding it.

Love on the Right Course
-fmc: Whitney
-mmc: Don’t know this guys name still
-mom just died 2yrs ago
-caddie wants to be her coach
-why is this set in Budapest?
-no. Really. Why are they in Budapest?
-again, odd to bring two Americans to Budapest and then the story is that they’re Hungarian.
-getting her dad the dog is very cute. I spent the entire scene watching the two mains compete wondering about what the dad and dog were up to.
-I know this is hallmark and all movies are like this but having a bunch of Hungarians speak English to each other is odd.
-maybe the producer is Hungarian?
-so basically she is an athlete who lost the love of the sport. We’ve seen it. But I’m not against formulaic.
-Zuki the dog is back. Thank god. her sad dad really gonna make me weep.
-I’m sorry, who is this blonde lady?
-yes girl. Make him your coach. Don’t ask him. Just demand his help. Love it.
-oh. That blonde lady is the real estate agent
-just once, can a Hallmark parent just be able to sell their house and go about their business?!
-so she’s mad that her father’s employee helped schedule a potential buyer? Girl. Come off it.
-damn. Her daddy don’t want to see NOBODY
-very much still unsure of the mmc’s name. Eric?
-a watch with the time stopped at her first hole in one? That is precious
-just a bunch of Hungarians speaking English…
-dad got a string ensemble and sang to his wife on her bday? A MAN
-these two “Hungarians” can’t do Hungarian traditional dances? Sure Jan.
-I forgot I was watching this movie
-but the dad got an offer on his property. Good for him.
-this movie is just people going to dinner. Which is great for them I guess. But also…
-her mom and her dad are both Hungarian? Or just the dad? So she wasn’t raised in Budapest her whole life?
-is this a thing? So people in Hungary really like golf and do they all end up going to America on scholarship? Was the golf team at my school Hungarian and I didn’t know? I don’t think so. They were business majors and I had classes with them
-“you don’t owe him anything” I know that’s right! Her daddy don’t play about his people.
-his name is DANIEL!!!
-thus Andrew guy is really a piece of work. You quit on me and now I gotta take you back. Please go away. Is he an old boyfriend? Why is he even here? I don’t trust him
-and then she’s planning some other party? Truly have no idea what this is for?
-why do golfers have to wear the ugliest shorts known to man
-not the dudes having a dick measuring contest over their desire to be her coach?
-Bianka is a snake but you know what, fair. She found a huge buyer and he wasted her time.
-Zuki stays!!!
-I’m sorry, but I don’t really feel bad for this dad. He ain’t read his own contract!? You’re a business owner
-this Andrew character is the single most annoying person on the planet
-her dad following her the whole way? He don’t play about her at ALL. Love him. I take it back. Biancka ain’t shit.
-and Bianka is a con artist!?!? Wow. Didn’t see that coming
-she just won something. Oh! It was at the same time as her hole in one. Cute.
-the puppy has a bed in the new cafe!!!???? Love.
-I can’t stress this enough. Why are we in Hungary?!? America! America, explain!!!
5.5/10 - Didn’t change any lives but wasn’t offensively bad. Wouldn’t watch again. But not mad I watched it.

Do You Get My Letters
✥ Pairing: Levi x fem!Reader, somewhat Reiner x fem!Reader
✥ Themes: Fluff, angst, sadness, big ass plot twist
✥ Warnings: Female bodied reader (she/her pronouns,) Pregnancy and birth (nothing gory.) Mentions of death, violence, and threats. Manipulation.
✥ Synopsis: You are carrying Reiner's baby when he betrays Paradis. Levi decides to step in.
✥ Word Count: 2.2k
(there is a part two up to this fic, but i've decided i'm going to rewrite the ending at some point.)
Anon's Request: Hi! I saw your requests are open so here I want to give my little scenario a try! 🕳🤸🏽‍♀️ I thought abt this last night, I’m currently rewatching AOT after 6 yrs and yet to finish season 4, so sorry if I’m wrong abt timelines/the plot? My request is the reader was with child with Reiner, but b4 reader told him, he betrayed and exposed his mission. Levi stepped in to help reader. And btw, I just finished watching ep 3 of season 4, so maybe Eren telling reiner abt his child and he regrets leaving the reader? And reiner jealous at the fact Levi is most likely considered his child’s father at that point. I can’t come up with an ending, so I’ll leave it up to you if you do take in my request. If this isn’t your type of writing I totally understand!
Note: This story is canon divergent. It is set in season 4, but in a universe where Reiner is not revealed as a traitor/the armored titan until a few months before season 4 takes place, as the reader was having relations with him until then and did not know his secret. I’m sorry if that change bothers you, I just wanted to write this as sort of its own story. This story contains season 4 spoilers! It also has nothing to do with the canon ending of AOT.
---
Dear Reiner,
I hope this letter somehow gets to you, I don’t quite know where to start.
In a perfect world, I would be so happy to tell you this. You’d be ecstatic too, I think. And before you try to second guess me: I’m sure by now, don’t worry.
I’m pregnant.
I guess we weren’t careful enough before you left. I feel like an idiot. And lost. But I’m not hopeless. I know myself, I can make it work somehow. With or without you.
I’m still in shock about you. How could someone so close hide so much? You’re a talented spy I suppose, a great asset to Marley. You made me trust you with my entire life. You made me love every false thing about you. And this is the rude awakening I get in return.
I’ll raise our child to value honesty and kindness, all in spite of you.
Sincerely,
Reader
---
The paper was damp with tears after you lifted your pen for a final time. You wished you could just keep the whole thing a secret: go make a quiet life for yourself somewhere else. It wouldn’t be right. Not after all of the dishonesty that man had spewed to you over the past few years. You had to tell him.
The door to the office room you’d settled in to write the letter creaks open. It’s Levi. He looks at your puffy eyes somberly, sympathetic. He was the first person you had told about the entire situation. Not because you were close, just because you needed help.
You fold your letter and stick it into a sturdy envelope. Levi takes it in his hand.
“That piece of shit doesn’t deserve a thing from you. Not a letter. Certainly not tears,” Levi says, using a clean handkerchief to wipe a stray drop from your cheek, “but I am proud of you.”
You take the handkerchief from him, feeling more tears stream down your face.
“Proud? I’m a fucking idiot,” you say through your sobs.
“Don’t even try to pull that self pity shit with me. Things happen sometimes. And you’re strong enough to commit to getting through it,” he responds.
You stand up, pushing your chair out. You look at him as you dry your face off again.
“I’m alone. How the hell am I supposed to do this shit alone?”
“You are not alone,” Levi replies. You’re shocked when he pulls you into a hug. “I’m going to help.”
You had never seen this side of him before. You look at him as you pull away slowly, tears still welled in your eyes.
“Are you sure? That's a big burden, Levi. None of this has to involve you.”
“Not the biggest burden I’ve ever taken on,” he shrugs. “There’s a lot of death around here, Y/N. Everyone is going to be happy about the little bit of life you’re giving us.”
You chuckle. He’s cynical, but he’s right.
He licks the envelope as he walks toward the door.
“Want me to run you a hot bath or something? Is that the type of shit pregnant people need?” he asks.
You laugh, a little harder than normal. It felt so relieving to laugh.
“Sure, Captain,” you respond softly.
---
Dear Reader,
I received your letter before the battle in Marley. I actually got to hand it to Reiner myself. He knows everything now. He broke down in front of me after reading it, going on about how much he regrets everything. How he wishes he could change things and be there for you. He begged me to kill him right there.
The world will eventually not have suffering like what you are going through now.
Eren Jaeger
---
Your jaw had dropped reading it. He begged me to kill him.
You hand the letter Levi had just delivered back to him. He reads it with a furrowed brow.
“Do you think…” you begin, your voice shaky, “do you think I could send another letter?”
Levi purses his lips, “Possibly. I can ask Jaeger. But right now, you need to bring your blood pressure back down.”
You were over seven months along now. You had found out about your pregnancy late, after being in denial for four whole months. Hange insisted on checking you out after you’d thrown up every morning for a week.
Levi had since gone on a parenting book reading spree; he made you read several of them too. He knew just about everything you needed to do to make a healthy baby: what to eat, what not to eat, how to exercise, when to go to the doctor, etc. It was really sweet how much he cared. You knew it gave him hope, something to fight for, something to come home to.
You were terrified when he left for Marley. You kissed him for the first time when he returned. Just about everyone you knew had to fight. You wished you could be out there fighting with them like you were supposed to. Maybe you could have made a difference.
Levi takes your hand, squeezing it to bring you out of your thoughts.
“What can I do?” he asks.
“Get me a glass of wine,” you grumble.
“Absolutely not.”
---
Dear Reiner,
Reader does not know I’m sending this. So keep it that way, or I’ll kill your sorry ass. Or maybe not, you’d probably enjoy that. In that case I’ll get creative.
How does it feel? Being a fucking deadbeat? Is it everything you’d thought it’d be and more? Fucking her and leaving her with nothing, like she belongs in a whorehouse. Reminds me of what happened to my mother. Pieces of shit like you came in and sent her to her death, leaving her kid behind to starve.
I wasn’t about to let her suffer like my mother did. But you were. I’m glad your choices haunt you, Reiner. You fucking deserve it.
I’ll be there for the both of them from now on, doing everything you were never capable of. She’s due any day now, I’m sure she’ll try to write to you.
Levi
---
You feel your first contraction while napping on the couch with Levi. You were settled in between his legs, your back leaning up against his chest. He had his hands on your stomach; he loved to feel the baby kick and tell them some of the happier stories in his memories.
The two of you had grown so close over the past few months. You slept together every night now. You didn’t want to leave each other’s sides if you didn’t have to. Levi would cuddle and massage you any time your pregnant body was ailing you.
You had fantasized with him about life after the war. He wanted to be a husband, a father, to live peacefully in the countryside. And he wanted more than anything for you to join him.
The first contraction wasn’t painful enough for you to make much more than a grunting noise, but Levi woke up the second he felt your stomach contort a bit. He was on very high alert these days.
“Holy… shit…is that what I think it is?” Levi whispers, “Don’t answer. I’m getting Hange.”
He crawls out from behind you and sprints out of the room.
The pain worsens and becomes much more frequent while he’s out looking for Hange. You stand up eventually after getting the urge to walk around - and your water breaks. You start panicking, unsure of how dilated you were and how much time you had left before pushing. You really wished you’d done more than just skimmed through those birthing books right about now.
Levi and Hange eventually come sprinting back into the room with a wheelchair and cold rags to find you whimpering in pain on the couch, trying your best to control your breathing.
You’re rushed down the halls to the Scout’s infirmary, where Levi had made sure the perfect room was set up for you - and it had been that way for two months.
The next hour goes by in a blur. Hange knew the biology of how to deliver the baby, and Levi knew how to coach you. He helped you hold your legs back when you pushed, and helped you count out your breathing. Hange attended to everything that might have made Levi faint, like checking your dilation and making sure the baby was coming out at the right angle. You got lucky having these two by your side.
Through all of your efforts, you finally hear a cry. You look up to see Levi holding your tiny new baby as Hange wiped them clean. He was smiling, way bigger than you’d ever seen him smile before, with tears in his eyes.
“Here,” he says softly, handing her to you.
You cradle her on your bare skin. “She’s so perfect, Levi! Look how sweet she is!” you coo.
“What are you going to call her?” he asks, stroking your hair as you gleam down at your baby.
“I was thinking,” you smile, “Kuchel.”
Levi lets out small gasp. Tears start streaming down his face, his efforts to stifle them failing.
“Really? I think that’s,” he wipes his eyes, “a wonderful name.”
—-
Dear Reiner,
She’s finally here! Oh my god, she’s precious. Levi and Hange helped to deliver her. Labor went smoothly. Levi started to cry when he saw her for the first time. She really is just that perfect. We are calling her Kuchel, after Levi’s mother. He cried when I told him that, too (don’t tell him I’m sharing those crying details.) I've decided to give her Levi’s last name as well.
Levi set up the perfect nursery for us.
If you really did feel guilty for leaving - don’t be. I’m happy.
She has your eyes.
Sincerely,
Reader
—-
Dear Reiner,
Kuchel said her first word today. Of course it wasn’t mama, she’s such a daddy’s girl. She started crawling awhile ago, we are now working on standing up on our own. She has all of this blonde curly hair, too. She’s growing up so fast.
Reader
—-
Dear Reiner,
Levi proposed a few days ago. It was so perfect. We found a nice house with room for a farm that will be perfect for a family.
I can only wonder how you’re doing, now that the war is over.
Are you even alive?
Reader
—-
Dear Reiner,
I’m expecting again. Levi is beyond excited. I am too, of course. Kuchel started school this year. She is such a smart kid.
I still wonder about you. After all these years.
Reader
—-
Message after message, word after word. No response. You had decided he must be dead. The devastation after the war would argue that he was.
That is, until you found yourself rummaging through one of Levi’s desk drawers, looking for baby Isabel’s lost pacifier.
You felt the bottom of the drawer shift. A false bottom?
You pry at it until it comes open.
Letters.
Dozens of opened letters. With Marleyan postage stamps.
You pull out the first bundle you see. They’re all from you. Unopened. Unsent. You set them aside, your jaw quivering.
You pull out the second bundle and gasp.
—-
Dear Reader,
Eren showed me your letter. I am terribly sorry. Let me fix this, somehow. You can come to live with me in Marley. I will take care of you. Please.
I’m not just a traitor, a liar, a farce. Everything between us was real. I can explain everything. Just trust me.
Love,
Reiner
Dear Reader,
Do you get my letters?
I’ve only heard rumors about our new baby girl. I wish I could see her. Just once. For a second. Do you have a camera? I know they’re hard to come by in Paradis. I can send one.
I’d do anything to change this. You know I would.
Love,
Reiner
—-
To Levi,
You son of a bitch. I know exactly what you’re doing. You think this is protecting her, but it’s not. Just let her talk to me. She would listen, she would understand. You said yourself that she writes. You manipulative, sick bastard. That is MY child. She will never be yours. No matter what you brainwash her to believe, your dirty Ackerman blood does not run through her veins. She deserves to know. You are the farce, Levi.
Reiner
—-
There were dozens more. All opened. All from Reiner.
You sink down to the floor, tears spilling from your eyes.
You are the farce, Levi.
But, why? He was just protecting you, right?
The office door opens. You jump, shoving the letters back into the drawer.
“Mommy, why are you crying?” Kuchel asks.
You take a deep breath, staring down at the letters, thinking about everything that could have been.
“Are you happy here, Kuchel?”
“Yes!” she chirps, “Every day!”
“Then it’s nothing, baby. Mommy just got hurt. She’s better now.”
Your daughter giggles and skips out of the room, leaving you to hide away the rest of the letters.

I REALLY HOPE I understood your request, Anon! I actually had a lot of fun writing this. It isn't something I would normally think to write, but I'm so glad you shared this idea! Sorry for the sad ending, I love playing w people's emotions ;)

I've once again had 6 hours to process everything I saw in season 4 so I'm just gonna say my thoughts on it (hold onto your fedoras again folks)
first off, WE FOUND OUT GRAY'S LAST NAME?? I was so shocked and happy at the same time I love how everyone asked for player's real name and we ended up with gray's surname for some reason shsjsj. NOBODY ASKED FOR THAT BUT THEY DELIVERED ANYWAY
ALSO GRAHAM IS AN ORPHAN?? my precious boy *throws mommy's boy headcanon out the window*
the second episode really had me shipping carmivy they're so cute we got a girl's trip and I'm all for it
I think I may now be a dash haber stan but let's not make a big thing of it
also ivy eating the chocolate in the middle of a mission deserves an honorable mention because of her cute little tongue (I'm weird okay djsjsjs)
zack trying to bond with shadowsan and him having none of it was delightful
that fucking robot god damn bellum really thought of everything didn't she every time I thought it was gone it made a come back I literally said out loud "carmen is so fucked"
I SWEAR TO GOD EVERY TIME GRAY TALKED ABOUT CARMEN I KEPT THINKING HE WAS GONNA SAY "BECAUSE I LOVE HER" IN WHICH CASE I WOULD HAVE DIED AND NOT IN A GOOD WAY
yall have no idea how relieved I was when I found out that photo of julia was her and her (presumably) mother and NOT a boyfriend sjsjsjs
catch me making a headcanon that julia has a single mom because her father disowned her for coming out as gay based on that picture alone 😭
I'M SORRY BUT THE AMOUNT OF FLIRTING BETWEEN CARMEN AND JULES?? PLEASE THEY'RE SECRET GIRLFRIENDS JUST ADMIT YOU CENSORED THEM AND GO
OKAY BUT WHEN THEY WERE IN JULIA'S OFFICE AND CARMEN SAID "WAY TO FOLLOW YOUR HEART JULES" AND SHE WAS LIKE "YOU REMEMBERED" I LOST IT WHAT DID CARMEN REMEMBER JULES?? DID THEY HAVE A CONVERSATION OFF SCREEN? MAYBE I'M JUST A BIG HUGE LESBIAN BUT THAT'S A BIT GAY LADIES
carmen getting all worried when julia wasn't answering her phone was the blessed gay content I signed up for PLEASE THEY CARE ABOUT EACH OTHER SO MUCH
never thought I'd say this but I loved devineaux this season he was funny, he improved his treatment towards julia (I don't recall him officially apologising I must have missed something djsjsjs)
the only thing I didn't like was it kinda seemed like they were trying to hint that chase and jules were into each other and I didn't really vibe with that
all that shit with dr bellum and the crown for cleo really had me thinking cleobellum was gonna be canon what a clown I am (seriously tho the way she lost it when the crown got stolen GIVE IT BACK IT BELONGS TO HER WIFE)
look all I'm saying is: tigress new outfit in the egypt episode was hot
HER FACE AT THE END AFTER SHE GOT TRAPPED WITH ALL THOSE BUGS
I wish julia and gray could have met there's so much friendship potential there 😭
is player... is he a bit 💅 I SEE THAT PRIDE STICKER ON YOUR LAPTOP YOUNG MAN YOU'RE NOT SUBTLE
ngl I nearly teared up when player finally met carmen in person
I'M SORRY BUT JULIA'S BLUSH IN EPISODE 7 PLEASE SHE'S SO SMITTEN WITH CARMEN IT'S BRILLIANT
EVIL CARMEN WAS REALLY SOMETHING ELSE I WAS SO SCARED SHE'D BE STUCK LIKE THAT FOREVER
I mentioned this in another post but when julia was like "don't you remember me? I'm your girlfriend friend, jules" I NEARLY FUCKING CRIED THEY WERE GETTING KINDA CLOSE AND THEN CARMEN GOT MIND WIPED
JULIA TOPS JULIA TOPS I SAID IT ALL ALONG AND IT'S TRUE SHE REALLY PINNED VILE CARMEN THAT'S TOP BEHAVIOR (also this now makes carmen a bottom I don't make the rules)
kinda shocked that paper star was hardly here I don't stan her so it didn't bother me much but still it was just strange they didn't use her this season
when shadowsan whipped out the last doll and carmen had all those flashbacks to when she was at vile I nearly started crying AGAIN
I LEGIT THOUGHT CARMEN HAD KILLED GRAY DJSJSJS AN ELECTRICIAN GETTING ELECTROCUTED THAT'S SOME IRONY RIGHT THERE
gray really confused me towards the end he kept switching sides every five minutes for the whole season I wasn't sure whether to trust him half the time dhshsjs
THE LOOK ON CARMEN'S FACE WHEN SHE THOUGHT SHE'D KILLED GRAY WAS SO HEARTBREAKING AND THEN SHE STARTED CRYING OH MY GOD I'M SORRY BABY
the way she's always been against hurting people/taking lives and then she ended up hurting all the people she loves (she nearly killed zack for god sake) really hit me hard
gray's ending was... kinda weird I understood the parallel of him not wanting to complicate carmen's life like she said about him in season 2 but it was still kinda strange that they didn't have one more conversation or get any closure
I'm obviously kinda upset that carulia wasn't canon they had so much potential imo and the show isn't about romance anyway BUT I'm happy with the content we got and THEY FLIRTED SO MUCH THEY'RE CANON IN MY HEART
THE TEAM RED GROUP HUG KILLED ME IT WAS SO CUTE
kinda annoyed that carmen just straight up left zack and ivy she really just left a note and said YEET
ivy's voice crack when she read the note got me all choked up
ngl I'm still not entirely sure how it ended I had to rewatch it a few times to understand what they were trying to imply sjsjsj
would have loved to know carmen's given name but at the same time she's literally THE carmen sandiego that's who she is, it would be silly to go by a name that she doesn't connect with just because her parents gave her it
her mom being a regular citizen was kinda bittersweet I mean a plot twist would have been good but at the same time it would make the story even more complicated
*dreams of a spinoff movie where we get better closure on everything*
ACME IVY ACME IVY I'M NOT AN IVY STAN BUT DAMN IF I AIN'T SIMPING FOR ACME IVY
I know carmen didn't want revenge but I feel like chief got let off with killing her father way too quickly if I'm honest sjsjsj
JULIA BEING IN CHARGE OF FINDING CARMEN'S MOM OH MY GOSH
I feel so bad for laughing when julia got knocked out the way the cloth fell on her head sent me but when the pole hit her head I was like "OKAY I TAKE IT BACK THIS ISN'T FUNNY ANYMORE"
was not expecting julia to physically fight anyone I mean she's always been so calm and collected and then this season she was like fuck it might as well hit a few people before we finish forever
wishing carmen and jules could have hugged or had a scene together where they talked about stockholm but I won't complain it wouldn't have really made sense anyway considering they were cool with each other at the university
so glad the trailer was misleading about the coach brunt situation I really didn't want her to get a last minute redemption
another honorable mention: cleo snapping at julia "DON'T YOU DARE IMPLY THAT I AM COMMON" sent me djdjs she was just stood there like "I am but a humble history lesbian leave me be"
I think that's everything I'll probably add to it later if I think of anything or I might make a part 2 djsjsjs (I've been writing this for almost an hour now 😭)
overall I enjoyed it from start to finish. I haven't really cried about it ending yet I'm still processing everything but I'll probably have a little sob when it finally hits me djsjsjs
CARULIA NATION WE BASICALLY WON NOW EXCUSE ME WHILE I REWATCH ALL THEIR SCENES TOGETHER AND MAKE IT MY ENTIRE PERSONALITY

the tags on your football Billy story about autistic kids not being allowed to play sports, gave me the idea of Steve with autism not being allowed on the basketball team and how Billy and maybe Tommy if you want since you write kegboys sometimes would react
It doesn’t take Billy long to notice him, the benchwarmer boy who sits on the sidelines, never getting his shot in a single game, just riding the bench with a smile on his face.
At first he sort of pegs it to mean the kid is just really not good, maybe riding the tails of his daddy’s sportsmanship legacy, but then Billy realizes something, that this kid doesn’t even get to play at practice.
He shows up and he sits there like being excluded is the happiest he’s ever been, and the only time he ever has the ball in his hands at all is if it’s to toss it to one of the boys on the court when it rolls to him.
Despite this though, he has his very own jersey. Number zero. Harrington.
Billy asks Tommy after practice once who this mysterious jersey kid is, and he smiles sort of tight, like maybe Billy shouldn’t have asked him that, and tells him, “I’ll introduce you.”
Tommy walks over to the kid and tells him something that makes him light up, jump to his feet and follow Tommy back over, “Billy, this is my best friend, Steve Harrington.”
Steve just sort of waves, so Billy jumps straight into it. This kid intrigues him and he wants to know more, “There a reason you don’t play, Harrington?”
In response he shrugs his shoulders, hands stuffed in the pockets of his way too big basketball shorts, “I’m not allowed.”
“Why not? You fail some test or something?” Billy tries to ask lightly, not noticing the way Tommy’s face scrunches up before Steve drops a bombshell on him instead, “They don’t let special ed kids on the basketball team.”
And if that’s not bad enough, Tommy then adds, though significantly more bitter than even Steve is, “Or on any team for that matter, whether it’s sports or clubs or debate, you name it. School board denies every last application.”
“Oh.” Billy frowns, totally dumbfounded, his school in California never had any issues with that, “Oh that- that’s bullshit.”
“I know.” They say at the same time, prompting Billy to ask, “They don’t even have like, a separate team?”
“Not enough kids would do it.” Tommy says, and he gets a sharp look from Steve, who corrects him quickly, “Not enough kids could get permission to do it.”
“But that’s such bullshit.” Billy repeats, not very helpfully.
“Nothing we can do about it. We’ve tried everything. Not even momma Harrington could convince the school board, and let me tell you, that woman is scary.”
Steve elbows Tommy for that one, and Tommy laughs softly, throws an arm around his shoulder, but Billy is thinking, biting the corner of his nail in concentration, “Why don’t we start our own team?”
“I don’t know.” Steve’s face scrunches up, and he turns to Tommy, like he doesn’t trust what Billy says, so Billy continues, “No, I’m serious. School says you can’t play for them, so fuck ‘em. There’s courts in the park, I have a ball, and I’m out there half the time watching my little sister anyways. Let’s start our own team.”
Tommy answers for him, “Practice takes up too much time. We’re not gonna be much of a team unless we’re going to be playing at night or in the winter.”
“Then we quit the tigers.” Billy shrugs, like it’s obvious.
Instantly Tommy narrows his eyes, “Very funny, man.”
On the other hand though, Steve looks at him with awe written all over his face, eyes wide and spelling, “You’d really quit for me?”
And Billy, he plays it off like that look doesn’t make his heart melt, claiming, “For you and for Max who’s been talking my ear off about how much she wants to play soccer and whose heart is going to break when she finds out she can’t.”
Convinced, Tommy looks over at Steve, “If you’re in Stevie, I’m in too.”
Steve seems like he’s considering his options, drumming his fingers on the outside of his thigh, occasionally humming softly in thought, and it’s making Billy impatient.
“So?” He asks, to which Steve nods a confirmation to his offer, his hair bouncing with his enthusiasm.
Tommy cracks a crooked smile, holds out a hand for Billy to shake, seal the deal, “You’ve got yourself a team, Hargrove.”
They decide not to give their little team a name, the idea of being called something feels too exclusive, which was the reason they’d all quit the school's team in the first place. Billy had gotten in big trouble when his dad found out he quit for wasting their time and money on basketball, but that was all bullshit anyways, games were only usually a half hour long and were free to get into for the players family, and the school paid for the uniforms.
But that was what he said and what he’d been going to punish Billy for until they found out about the reasoning behind quitting, after which Susan was flattered he cared so much about his little sister, and he got his permission to freely go down to the park and play with the “special” kid.
Neil of course didn’t care about him doing it for Max, he was just concerned with Billy’s public image. Playing ball with the richest family in town's dopey son did nothing but good things for the way their neighbors saw him, so he’d allow it.
A few weeks into their games though, which are mostly just playing HORSE or teaching Steve how to do trickier shots since no coach ever would, Billy has to bring Max along because nobody was going to be home and she wasn’t allowed to be by herself. It’s a dreary day so there aren’t many people around at all, so he decides he’s going to loosen her leash, and walks her over to the playground (that they can see clearly from the courts, he’s not that irresponsible.)
He teasingly offers to push Max on the swings or lift her up to the monkey bars, making her roll her eyes and proudly declare that she’s not a baby anymore, so he chuckles and leaves her be, walking back to the basketball hoops.
Tommy and Steve are just sitting on the old wooden bench just off to the side of the court, waiting for Billy to get back because he’s their little impromptu coach and they can’t start without him, but he notices that they’re sitting awful close together, and between them, Tommy’s hand sits slightly on top of Steve’s, pinky fingers linked together.
Now he knows these two are affectionate, he couldn’t even count how many times Tommy picked Steve up after he made a good shot or ruffled his hair and smiled at him when he messed up, but that was all just friendly affection.
This was different though, he could tell it was from the way Tommy’s eyes snap up and he pulls his hand away, the both of them looking away from each other guiltily.
He feels a little something like jealousy in his chest, or maybe it was just anxiety at the fact that they’d been so obviously holding hands in the public park, but either way, he just kind of freezes up, looking between their two terrified faces until Tommy’s turns angry, standing from the bench so fast the old rusty things creaks loudly and Steve has to cover his ears.
He grabs the front of the baggy jersey Billy wears from his old school's team, the bears, and gets right up in his face, sneering, “You gonna say something, Hargrove?”
And Billy’s not afraid of Tommy, he might be mean, but he’s on his toes to threaten him, and he’s pretty sure they both know Billy would win the fight anyways. He’s not going to fight him though, and he makes that clear, putting his hands up as a clear sign of not going to sock Tommy for yelling at him, “Secrets safe with me, dudes. You go down, I’m going down with you.”
Tommy doesn’t get it though, because he growls, “Right. ‘Cause all that matters is what will happen to your reputation after giving up your precious sport just to hang with a couple of fags, right?”
“Tom.” Steve snaps, but he gets ignored, Billy arguing over him, “Actually, no. You know all that talk about queer kids flocking together without even knowing? That doesn’t come from nothing. I out you, it’s putting a target on my back, and from there it won’t be not long before a little birdie tells the wrong person the right rumor and we’re all dead.”
“Oh.” Tommy says softly, his face falling.
Billy nods sarcastically in response, “Yeah, oh. So let go of my damn shirt before I find a reason to punch you in the face.”
“Can we just play basketball?” Comes a timid request from behind them, so Tommy lets go, wipes his hands on his shorts, and answers him, “‘Course we can, Stevie.”
It doesn’t take long for them to get bored though, none of them are really in the mood to play after that. They play a small game that’s pretty much just Tommy blocking Billy the whole time, but after he shoots the ball they all just let it roll, none of them caring enough to keep the play going. So instead, Tommy offers up his place to hang out there.
It sounds at least better than this, so Billy drops Max off back at home, making her promise not to do anything stupid to get them in trouble until he gets back later that night, and heads straight to Tommy’s like they planned.
The whole drive he’s worrying that they’re gonna pissed at him and beating himself up for not just pretending like he didn’t notice, to the point where he almost just drives right past, but Steve waves at his car from the front window, and he can’t do all this petty angry shit to him.
Tommy’s house is empty for the night, so that means two things, that they’re free to drink as much as they want, (smoking’s a no go though, the smell is too strong and makes Steve upset), and that Steve sits right on Tommy’s lap like it’s nothing.
Which, it is nothing. Billy just told them he was gay too, and now they don’t have to hide from their best friend, so it’s common sense that they wouldn’t.
But Billy, well, he wouldn’t say he’s jealous watching the two of them together, it just makes his chest burn every time they touch or laugh at some joke and whisper amongst themselves like he isn’t even there, or when Steve kisses Tommy’s cheek.
Yeah no, there’s no pretending, Billy is totally jealous. He’s had a thing for Tommy since like, day one of practice when he bounced a basketball back in his own face trying to show off, and Steve for just as long, yearning to know more about the pretty faced mystery kid who turned out to be a total sweetheart and won him over. It’s tearing him to shreds watching them just being happy together without being a part of that.
He wonders if these small town boys have ever even heard of having more than one partner other than like, mormons, and if they haven’t, how is he supposed to bring it up without sounding like a total weirdo. Maybe he could claim that he was just trying not to be left out since they were probably the only queer kids in Hawkins. Or maybe not and Tommy would try to kick his ass again for even trying.
He doesn’t have to do much wondering though, because as pointedly as he’s trying to ignore them, Steve keeps getting closer to Billy on the couch until he’s sitting in his lap, and Billy has to ask, blue eyes going a little wide, cheeks flushing red in a way that had nothing to do with the sunburn he’d gotten at the park earlier, “What’re you doing Steve?”
“You included me. Now I’m including you.” Steve hums and leans his head on Billy’s shoulder, holding eye contact with Tommy.
To say that Billy is flustered and doesn’t know what to do with himself is more than an understatement. He'd like to say he’s not the most inexperienced one here, but it’s not looking good, because he’s flushed as red as a tomato, and the only thing he can think to say is just, “Oh.”
“Yeah, oh.” Tommy says and smiles that big goofy smile of his, a playful imitation of their little argument from before, “And I’d much rather you kiss me than punch me.”

Hello, Can i have a Nekoma, Seijoh and Inarizaki with a reader. She is a analysis specialist and very knowledge about herb, she know how to make medicine and help a person who get injure, disease, sickness and. She is very short (about 4'8 ;-;) and very caring, rarely smile and talk. But she will softly smile and talk to calm person down when they get hurt or panic. Her smile make their day : ❤️💞💓 She help the coach when they have a headache, backache. She literally the school doctor lmao uwu
Hello cutie !! Thank you for the request <3 this is so precious, she seems like this adorable little doctor-chan, and I'd be delighted to write a headcanon for you.
Tumblr media
Doctor-chan manager
Characters: Nekoma team, Seijoh team, and Inarizaki team.
Warnings: none <3
Tumblr media
Nekoma
So the team hasn't seen you around in school, because you're always in specialised classes that help advance your talents. You're also almost always in the nurses' office, tending to injured and sick patients better than the nurse does.
The students who come in trust you completely, because you have always helped them relieve their pain with your gentle touch and wide array of herbs and natural remedies.
One day, as you are silently applying a balm to the injury of a student, he softly asks if you would be the manager of the volleyball team he's part of.
“they get hurt very easily, and it happens pretty often too. In fact, I think we have two members who are still injured, but their pride just won't allow them to seek help for it.”
You study the boy, who speaks in a soft monotonous tone, with his cat-like eyes and long hair.
You're also weighing the pros and cons of joining the team. Because you're very soft spoken and quiet, rarely showing emotion,it takes longer for people to warm up to you.
But on the other hand, you just couldn't stand to see people getting hurt, especially after knowing you had the power to save them with your talents.
You quietly nod at the boy, who later introduces himself as Kozume Kenma.
He leads you to the gym, where the team was practicing, and when they see this small, adorable girl walking behind Kenma, looking so shy and cute, they just stop practicing.
“are you kenma's girlfriend?” is the phrase you hear most of, until Kuroo, the captain, calms them down.
You quietly explain that you are not kenma's girlfriend, and that you'll be their new manager.
Your eyes swept the team when it fell on Yaku. You wordlessly walked over to him, and gently pressed a small bundle of peppermint leaves to his palm.
“to aid your headaches”, you said softly.
The team was in awe. How could you have known Yaku had headaches, and more importantly, how to cure it?
Kenma smiled, proud to find a great manager for the team, as the rest of the team bowed to you, and made your acquaintance.
They recognised that you didn't like talking or showing expressions, but they were okay with that, since Kenma was the same.
Speaking of which, you get along best with Kenma, because both of you are silent characters, who enjoy the comfort in each other's silence.
But the whole team are all very gentle with you, coming to you anytime they feel discomfort, or face an injury during practice matches.
And every time, you treat them with the bag of herbs you bring with you, and your gentle touch. It soothes and calms them, to have you care for them with such gentleness and love.
Instead of calling you "manager-chan", they call you "doctor-chan", which soars your spirits, because you've always dreamt of becoming a doctor someday.
You smile, the first time Kuroo calls you that, and the team just melts on the spot.
Their adorable, small manager is smiling, her eyes crinkling at the corners, and her cheeks rosy and red. They silently swear that they will play harder than before, and win just for her.
Just to see one of her rare smiles again.
Tumblr media
Seijoh
It's Akira who suggests you join the team
After noticing how you excel in biology class, he generally wants to know what you want to be in the future, and you shyly say "a doctor". This causes him to realise you might be able to practice on his volleyball team first.
“we're always getting hurt, and who knows? you might be able to polish your skills faster.”
You think about it carefully before nodding, holding your bag of herbs and natural remedies closer to you.
This was the start of a new journey with new people, and even though you weren't all that good in social situations, you'd try, so that someday your dream would be realised.
When you meet the team in the gym, Oikawa's eyes light up when he sees you. “hey there little cutie. Who are you?”
You're flustered, but remain expressionless. “I'm the new manager, Oikawa-san”
Oikawa is delighted at the prospect of having such a cute manager, but his thoughts are shattered as Iwaizumi spikes a ball to the back of his head.
“don't scare her off or flirt with her, shittykawa”
The team apologize for their captain, and respectfully bow and introduce themselves. You do the same, and as you look down, your eyes rest on Oikawa's knee.
It must hurt really badly, you thought.
After practice is over, you motion for Oikawa to follow you to the bench at the back of the gym. He happily does so, teasing you in the process, only to be met with silence on your part.
After he's seated, you gently undo his knee pad to find bandages beneath it.
Oikawa goes quiet, wondering how you knew. His teasing tone from earlier is fine, replaced with an anxious expression.
You gently wipe aloe mixture on his knee, and rebandage the area, being delicate and careful.
“please take care of yourself, Oikawa-san.” is all you say to him after nodding and walking off. He is touched by your kindness, and impressed by your observance, and expertise at easing his pain.
The rest of the team also experience similar encounters, where you'd take them to the bench at the back of the gym if you ever observe them facing discomfort during practice.
The team always know that the moment they're on the bench with you tending to them, all their discomfort will be eased, and their worries will disappear.
They associate you with a sense of comfort and familiarity, and love how you always seem to know what's the right thing to do.
You have a calming affect on all the members, especially Iwaizumi and Kyotani.
The team want to express their gratitude for all you've done for them, so they search high and low for a book on herbs that you might like, and gift it to you as a thank-you gift.
They will never forget the way you smiled at them, realising it's the first time they've made you smile, and thank you wholeheartedly for being their precious manager doc.
[I don't know if it's canon that Oikawa has a knee injury, but I thought it would be fine to add it into my writing, since it fits the prompt quite well]
Tumblr media
Inarizaki
You would be quietly researching herbs and spices in the school garden, when you come face to face with Kita Shinsuke, captain of the school's volleyball team.
He's surprised to see you there, because students aren't usually interested in plants, so he strikes up a conversation with you.
You tell him that you're a specialist at easing pains and injuries with the help of natural remedies.
Kita is extremely impressed, and invites you to be the team manager, where you might be able to further polish your skills, and you readily accept the sensible captain's invitation.
The next day, you follow Kita to the gym, where the team immediately takes a liking to you because you're so small and lovely.
Atsumu ruffles your hair immediately and introduces himself, whilst Osamu nods at you with a small smile.
Suna compliments you, telling you that you have a nice calming smell to your presence, which leads you to unveil your bag, filled with herbs.
Kita explains your talents to the rest of the team, and you do a small demonstration by applying a homemade rosemary, orange and lemon balm on the wrists of the team.
You quietly explain that it would help with their concentration, and true enough, their performance rate increases during the practice session, leaving them feeling revitalised and energised.
They think of you as the ideal manager, and are all very attentive to your needs. They don't think it's fair if it's only you looking out for them and tending to them, and therefore are always observant of you.
Atsumu once notices that the day is colder than usual and drapes his volleyball jacket on your shoulders, engulfing your small frame.
The rest of the team stop to look at you, and their hearts are so warm, they can't help it. The sight of you in their volleyball team's huge jacket is way too adorable.
You give it back to Atsumu at the end of practice, and he's delighted to find his jacket smelling like the mixture of herbs you always smelled like.
The team then start borrowing you stuff often too, because they love it when you return it to them and leave it smelling warm and comforting, exactly like you.
They also know that you don't show your expressions on your face, so it's hard to gauge how you're feeling, but after time and experience, they are able to understand your feelings better, eventhough you don't show it on your face.
You are a lifesaver in their matches, and one instance is when you were able to rid Aran of his muscle cramps, allowing him to make the winning spike.
Atsumu hoists you on his shoulders when they win, and despite all the commotion and excitement, they look up to see you smiling, your eyes shining and small laughs coming out of your mouth silently.
You couldn't help it, they were all just too precious to you.
The team almost sheds a tear after seeing you with that expression of pure joy on your face, and they ruffle your hair gently, thanking you for always being by their side and constantly being a driving force for their achievements.
Kita states that the best choice he's ever made was inviting you to become manager.
You smile softly once again, and retort back in your head that agreeing was your best decision.
Tumblr media
Hello hello! I hope that was good. It's one of the softest manager headcanons I've written in quite a while, since I was trying a new style, and I absolutely love it :))

Someone Flirting w/ their S/o [3rd Gym]
Tumblr media
Characters Included: Tsukishima Kei, Kuroo Tetsuro, Kenma Kozume, Akaashi Keiji & Bokuto Kotaro
Note: No one requested this :) This is happening before the game or match :) It’s not in school, but in the stadium or whatever you call those :) hope ya’ll enjoy this!
Reader’s Gender: Neutral
Warning: none
Tumblr media
Tsukishima Kei
-Tsukishima would stare at them as a random person walk up to you and started (shamelessly) flirting with you, saying some horrible pick-up lines, which you retort back (being with Tsukishima has its perks :D). His eyes would narrow when he noticed that the person was getting close to you, too close for liking.
-He wouldn’t do anything really, he knows you can handle it. He trusts you enough to stop that person. If he’s right, he would have that shit-eating grin on his face, which scares Hinata (who was beside him), as he watches you turning away from the person. But if that person persists, then that’s the time he would intervene with the same sadistic grin on his face. He would taunt them endlessly until the person runs away while fuming mad.
-But if you’re too nice and can’t turn the person down, he’ll frown and sigh at the same time. He loves that you’re nice, yes, but its this moments that he wishes you weren’t your nice self. He would watch the scene play out first before intervening. But if the person is getting touchy too quickly, then he’ll be by your immediately with a glare and smirk on his face.
-After that fiasco ends, he’ll ask if you’re alright and ruffles your head in whatever response you give him. He’ll make sure that you are beside Yachi all throughout the game, so he can see you. He’ll never admit to you that he was worried though, he still has his pride and reputation to keep up.
-(He might or might not give you his Karasuno jacket so people can get the idea that you’re taken :).)
Kuroo Tetsuro
-You thought this guy left you alone? No. Not a chance. Even if you’re the manager of Nekoma Volleyball Team or just a normal person to watch the match, he makes sure you’re either with him or in his sight. If he sees someone flirting with you, you better expect a rooster-headed boi by your side.
-This guy has a shit-eating grin while also glaring at the person. He’ll strike up a friendly conversation with that person while still glaring at them. Kuroo’s hand is on your waist and he pulls you closer as he talks with the person. That person would go away either from embarrassment, frustration or awkwardness. This guy has a talent for those kind of things.
-But it doesn’t mean that Kuroo doesn’t trust you, no. He trusts you that you can handle yourself, but people who watches or plays with them? No, he’ll be by your side immediately. He knows how these people can be when they see a lonely person all by themselves, it’s better to stay safe than sorry after all :)
-Kuroo makes sure you’re in his line of vision, or if you’re their Manager, then near Coach Nekoma. This guy makes sure you’ll wear a spare Jersey of him the next match so that people can get the idea that you’re his :)
Kenma Kozume
-When he sees you getting hit by someone, he might froze and panic at what to do. I mean, have you seen this precious bby?! He’s very awkward when it comes to speaking to other people, he actually has no idea how he manage to be friends with someone like Hinata -_- So yeah, he’ll try to come up with a plan to get you out of there.
-But he might also leave you alone, you can handle yourself, right? He trusts you that you can shoo that person away so he’ll (probably) let it go for the mean time. But if he sees that the person is persistent, he’ll glare at them and pout from the distance. He didn’t want to make a fool out of himself, especially not in front of you!
-If you’re nice and couldn’t shoo that guy away, Kenma would sigh as he contemplate why on earth that Kamisama (God) gave him such a nice person. One way or another, Kuroo would get involve and get you out of the situation.
-Kuroo probably saw the scene unfold in front of him and notice Kenma’s reaction of it, which greatly amuses him. He wants to help out right away when he notice you getting hit by someone other than him or the Team (yes, they flirt with you to get on Kenma’s nerves :3), but decided to see it play out. But after a while, he decides enough was enough and drags you away from the person and back to your (still) pouting boyfriend.
-Please hug him though, he’s still his insecure self and is terrified at the idea of you leaving him and finding someone else. Even if its embarrassing, hug him and kiss him. He needs it ;-;
-Kenma tells you to sit somewhere that is on his line of vision so that he could see you and smile at the sight of you (or if you’re their manager, he’ll turn his head just to look at you for a second to get his energy back [a freaking charger]).
-Kuroo probably is the one who gives you a spare jersey of Kenma’s so that you can wear it to their next match. Kenma would be so surprise and embarrassed that his face is red. He knows who did this so he glares at the smirking bed-headed guy.
-(He’s secretly thanking him though. He manage to have a memory of you wearing his jersey :3)
Akaashi Keiji
-Akaashi would be compose and calm (just like his usual self) when he notices you getting hit on by someone, Bokuto is probably the one making the whole thing a big deal. Akaashi would sigh and push Bokuto away while staring at you and the person. He trusts you that you’re able to shoo that person away though, if that happens, he wouldn’t intervene and just go along with his way.
-But if the person persists, he would probably use Bokuto to scare the person away (XD). While Bokuto scaring the guy away, he’ll tend to you and ask if you’re okay. He’ll let out a smile to you to whatever answer you give him and kiss you on the forehead before dragging a screaming Bokuto away, probably leaving you dumbfounded on what’s happening.
-But if you’re too nice to say anything to that person, he’ll intervene. He’ll calmly say something to that person (probably something that goes along the lines of, “Please excuse us.”) before dragging you away from the person. But if that person persists (”Hey! I was talking to them!” in this instance”), Akaashi would lose his cool momentarily, glaring at the person before speaking in the coldest voice you’ll ever hear him say in, “We’re leaving, (ma’am/sir).”
-That person would be frozen from his glare as Akaashi continues to drag you away. He’ll lead you to where you watch the match and give you his water if you want. He’ll ask if you’re okay or if you’re hurt anywhere (Mommy Akaashi mode :D). He’ll ruffle your head and give you his Fukurodani jacket to wear and leave you alone to win a match.
-He gives you his jacket so that everyone can see that you belong to someone from Fukurodani, mainly him. And they’ll probably get scared because Bokuto is there and can be scary if he wants to. It has a double meaning in it :)
Bokuto Koutaro
-HE’S SCREAMING. He’ll immediately by your side and screaming at the person who’s flirting with you. Nobody flirts with his s/o >:( Bokuto will hold you tightly in his (buff) arms while he’s still angrily screaming at the person.
-If you scold him for his actions, he’ll go to his Emo mode (which made Akaashi stare at you like “what have you done?”). You better do something to lift his spirits once more! Like kiss anywhere on his face (or everywhere if you like) and say you’re proud of him. He’ll be back to your usual Bokuto that we all know and love.
-Akaashi might also scold him a bit when he sees Bokuto running to you and the person. Bokuto trusts you, yes. But that person is wayy too close for comfort! Akaashi can only sigh as he watch as Bokuto scream at the person with a dumbfounded you on his arms.
-This is better if you’re too nice to turn the person down though, but even if you can turn them down, Bokuto would be there either way. Just enjoy being in his muscular arms in the time-being :D
-He’ll give you his jacket to wear so that you won’t feel lonely while watching the match. Then he’ll give you a hug and a kiss on the lips (saying it’s a good luck charm!) before going to the court. People better not flirt with you or else they’ll have a screaming Bokuto :)

A Glowing Future
Submission by @satans-little-helper33
This piece takes place right after Nico’s final chapter at the end of Blood of Olympus.
Main Characters: Will Solace and Nico DiAngelo
Solangelo fluff
Nico’s encounter with Eros had cracked him wide open and left him feeling vulnerable and broken, forced to face his own reality and feelings, exposed in front of Jason; he was forced to share his darkest secret for a god’s amusement. Nico now knew he could trust Jason to keep it to himself, though, and he was beginning to realize that in order to crawl out of his self-constructed prison, his barriers first had to be torn down.
The feelings that had haunted him for so long—the shame, the fear, the denial—caused by the mentality of the 1940s he’d grown up in began to fade away.
He was no longer that scared little boy who had been enraptured by the presence of a powerful demigod, and now that he had finally confessed his past feelings to Percy, Nico felt that he could finally move forward.
Hades’s son made his way back down the hill to where Will was waiting for him, wearing scrubs,  jeans, and a crooked smile that made his heart skip a beat.
--------
“Sorry I didn’t come visit you in the infirmary,” Nico said, wearing the hint of a smile.
“It’s alright, I forgive you,” Will Solace said, his mouth set tight but laughter in his eyes, like he was trying to stay mad at Nico and failing.
“You wanted me to stay there--”
“For at least three days. Doctor’s orders.” Will started to lead Nico back toward the infirmary.
“Really, I’m Fine,” Nico began, but then his knees buckled and Will hoisted him back up.
“Uh huh. Right. Let’s get you to a bed.”
--------
Even after Coach Hedge’s nature magic/sports drink concoction, which had sustained Nico for a while, the arduous task of shadow-travelling the Athena Parthenos across the world had caught up with him again.
When Nico opened his eyes again, he was in the infirmary half sitting, half lying on a piece of furniture that was somewhere between a bed and a stretcher.
“Welcome back to the world of the living,” a familiar voice intoned, “have some ambrosia.”
Will sat on a chair beside the bed; the room of the infirmary he was in was long and lined with similar bed-stretchers, separated by white curtains that shimmered in different colors when they were moved.
Several other beds were occupied with demigods sporting now-relatively-minor injuries left over from the battle with Gaia and the monster army: a daughter of Hecate 2 beds over was glaring at her leg in a cast as if she was insulted by the inconvenience.
Nico turned back to Will, and noticed that beside the bed there was a small table with a baggie of ambrosia squares on it. Nico reached out to pick one up but encountered a familiar problem: his fingers passed right through the baggie and ambrosia, as if he was becoming one with the shadows permanently. His hand appeared fuzzy around the edges, as if he was dissolving.
“Uhh, maybe if I try again--”
Will frowned, then sighed. “This is what happens when you overextend yourself. Here, let me help you.” He picked up a square and held it out to feed Nico.
Nico leaned back. “What are you doing?”
“No arguing. Open up.” Solace said, his tone making it clear that he wasn’t taking no for an answer.
Will took none of Nico’s shit. That was one of the things Nico found most endearing and annoying about him; no matter how hard the son of Hades tried to push him away, Will simply refused to let him.
Nico took the ambrosia, and after a few moments they looked back at his hand, which seemed to be coming back into sharper focus.
“You had me worried there, diAngelo,” Will said, smiling, and briefly gripped his hand to check if it was now solid. Day of the Dead skeletons tapped out a jig in Nico’s chest.
“You were worried...about me?” Nico said, still wrapping his mind around the fact that Will had wanted a death demigod to visit him in the infirmary.
“Get some sleep.” he said, closing the ziplock bag.
“I’m not tired.”
“Well you will be in a second. CLOVIS,” he called out. The calf-like son of Morpheus appeared around the corner and Will told him “we’ve got another stubborn one,” throwing a teasing smile Nico’s way.
Clovis yawned. “I’m all over it,” he said, and--despite Nico’s protests--touched his forehead. The son of Hades drifted off into a deep sleep.
----------------------------------
Nico awoke feeling more rested than he had in weeks.
He quickly sat up, suddenly worried, because the last time he’d felt this rested, he’d been asleep for three days.
Nico stopped a passing Apollo healer.
“How long have I been out??”
The healer scratched his chin, trying to estimate. “About 6 hours?” He walked off.
Will walked into the infirmary, arguing with a Demeter camper; something about herbs and supplies? He turned and spotted Nico.
“Well, good evening, sleepyhead! How was your nap? Feeling better?”
“I think 6 hours is slightly more than a nap.” Nico retorted.
“Well, count yourself lucky that Clovis has learned to control his powers better. A while ago he put a camper out for a week by accident.” Will made his way toward him. “Can you stand?”
“Um, let’s find out.” Nico swung his legs over the bed and got up. Aside from stumbling a little, he was feeling much better. Nico marvelled at the healing powers of sleep.
As if he read his mind, Will said, “Oh yeah, sleep has endless benefits.”
Nico twisted his skull ring. “Hey, I came in here at about noon, which means--”
The conch horn signalling the dinner feast echoed across the valley. Will grinned. “I think that’s our cue.”
--------
The Half Blood campfire that night still carried with it an aura of elation spurred from disbelief, that they had won the battle against Gaia and made allies with the Romans, and a sort of desperation to feel alive brought about by all of those who had died in the process. Nico felt a pang for Leo, though he had a strange feeling that his death wasn’t as straightforward as it seemed.
Will sat by him at the bonfire, the Apollo cabin on his left and Nico on his right, leaving Nico unsure as to whether Will had sat next to him or his cabin. He chastised himself for hoping that it was the former.
The enchanted flames in the brazier blazed brightly with the energy of the campers, and Nico felt the warmth flare in his heart as he cast a glance at the son of Apollo, the light from the fire reflecting off of his blonde hair.
--------
Nico lay in his bunk that night after the campfire, staring up at the ceiling of the Hades cabin that was inset with precious stones. He quickly realized that there was no way he was falling asleep any time soon, and he climbed out of bed. The whole room was drenched in liquid shadows, and despite his exhaustion after the journey shadow travelling with the Athena Parthenos, Nico stepped forward and became one with the darkness with ease.
He melted from the shadow of a tree, finding himself by the lakeside at the edge of Camp Half-Blood. A full moon cast a pale glow on the night. Nico walked down to the sand and sat down; the silence was intoxicating, and Nico closed his eyes and listened to the gentle lapping of small waves against the shore. Suddenly he felt something nearby, heard the brush rustle, and wondered whether the cleaning harpies had come to eat him for being out past curfew. Nico drew his Stygian sword, which seemed to pull at the darkness like a magnet, and got ready to defend himself. What actually emerged from the brush was Will, who abruptly spotted Nico’s sword and laughed quietly.
“Expecting a fight?”
Nico quickly sheathed his sword. “What are you doing out here?” He noticed for the first time that Will had something in his hands.
He held up two goblets. “Mind if I join you?”
Will was the only one at camp who was not blatantly wary of him; after several years as an outcast, the effect felt foreign.
Will sat down next to the son of Hades and spoke to one of the goblets--“Pomegranate juice”--and handed it to Nico as the cup filled with garnet liquid.
“Are these--” Nico began.
“Glasses from the dining pavilion? Yeah. I snuck a couple out before dinner ended.” He wore his trademark mischievous smile. “I noticed you asked for pomegranate juice at dinner.” Nico felt his face grow warm as Will turned to his own cup and requested ginger beer. Soon the glass was filled with amber.
“It...reminds me of my mom.” Nico said quietly. “Not Persephone, ironically. When Bianca, my mom, and I...” his voice caught on Bianca’s name “when we lived in New Orleans, I was little, but I remember her giving us pomegranate juice on special occasions. It was a tough thing to find where we lived, so she would only have it on celebrations or...when my dad came to visit. I was just a baby when she was murdered.”
He stared down in silence at his drink.
“It wasn’t your fault, you know. Bianca, your mom, none of it,” Will said gently.
“I know,” Nico muttered, his voice nonetheless doubtful.
Will placed his hand on Nico’s, and he tensed, ready to pull away, but then instead turned his palm up to hold Will’s.
Nico turned his head to look up at Will, his pale blue eyes shining in the moonlight, almost periwinkle, an indiscernible expression on his face.
“You’re amazing, you know that?” Will murmured, his gaze taking Nico in. Will looked into his dark eyes as if he could perceive all of him, good and bad, and was still enraptured by what he saw.
Will reached out hesitantly, as if to touch Nico’s face, but stopped before, gaging his reaction, and when the son of Hades didn’t pull away, he brushed the ink-black hair out of his face.
Involuntarily, Nico’s eyes closed and his heart began to race. His life had, for years, been spent more with the dead than the living. No one had touched him tenderly for what felt like eons, not since Bianca, and only now did he realize how starved for physical affection he had been. Not just starved, he thought to himself, afraid of it…
And in that moment he decided that he was not going to be afraid anymore.
Will’s gaze moved from Nico’s eyes to his lips, and he leaned in carefully as if approaching a wild animal. Nico closed the distance, and as their lips met, his life bloomed before him like a chrysanthemum opening layer by layer. Suddenly Nico could see a future before him that wasn’t ruled by death and solitude.
Unnoticed by either of them, a dead mouse at the edge of the forest was brought back to life and scampered off into the trees.

Yelling out a farewell to your parents as you walked out the door, you closed the door. Walking down the house steps, you headed to the gate that surrounded the small property around the house. Opening the gate, you were shocked to see Suna waiting. Hearing the creek of the metal gate, Suna looked up his phone with a bored look and barely attempted to wave, “Yo.”
Closing the gate behind you, giving Suna a confused stare, “What are you doing?”
“I can’t walk my precious manager to practice?” Suna asked, putting his hand forward, silently asking to take your bag. “I’m just trying to be a gentleman.”
“A true gentleman would carry me to practice,” you smiled at him teasingly.
“I never said I was a true gentleman,” Suna said plainly, “I just said I was a gentleman.”
“Oh well,” you gave him your bag, with a smirk, “as long as you carry my bag, that’s okay.”
“I was really hoping you would say no…” Suna said quietly, the two of you walking as he slugs your bag over his shoulder.
“Then why ask?” You turned to look at him with a confused look. Suna shrugged his shoulders in response and then changed the subject.
Tumblr media
Arriving at school grounds, you and Suna made a beeline to the gym since the two of you were already dressed for practices. As the two of you got closer to the gym, both of you heard a loud chorus of laughter. Thinking nothing of it, Suna opened the door quietly, not alarming anyone inside. Thanking him, you stepped inside the gym and saw the scene in front of you. Both Suna and you halt in your step, looking at the group and Atsumu who had his back facing you.
The group (mostly first and second years) was laughing at what Atsumu was doing. Osamu was in the back go the group, trying to hide his laughter but when he saw you, he quickly made his getaway. The rest of the group haven’t seen you yet so they continued to laugh.
Atsumu was wearing a school’s girl uniform. Your uniform, basing the claim on the size and how tight it was on Atsumu's body. He was flapping this arms and made his knees touch, making him look like a clumsy school girl. Your eyes instantly twitched when you heard Atsumu’s fake high pitch voice, “I’m your manager! So do as I say! Kita is such a wonderful captain. Atsumu, you are such an amazing setter! Oh, how I wish I could date you!”
“What are you doing?” You gritted your teeth, a cold tone heavy in your voice. Suna instantly dropped that bags and grabbed his phone, starting to record the events. Atsumu instantly froze in fear as he heard your voice, scared for his life. Everyone scattered around the gym, not wanting to feel your wrath.
“Are you going to answer me Atsumu?” You asked once again, glaring at the back of his head. You saw Atsumu flinched by the sound of his name rolling off your tongue in anger.
Atsumu slowly turned to face you, nervously laughing as he tried to come up with an excuse. He scanned the gym, trying to make eye contact with anyone who would help him but everyone just looked away or down. Atsumu started to sweat right when he made eye contact with you. Laughing nervously and stuttering, Atsumu gave a weak smile that was going in-between a smile and frown, “I was-was ju-just um… cosplaying?”
“You were cosplaying,” you narrowed your eyes dangerously. “As what?”
“A-As um… As um…” Atsumu stuttered, not knowing what to say.
“As what?” You asked again, your anger slowly rising.
“As a school girl…” Atsumu whimpered, flinching as he said the dumb excuse.
“Oh really?” You hummed, “What kind of schoolgirl did you base it on?”
“A beautiful and amazing school girl,” Atsumu said, slowly walking to you with a finger gun, trying to ease the tension.
“Really?” You smiled dangerously at him, “Because when I came in…I heard, and I quote, I’m your manager.”
Atsumu chuckled nervously and quickly got on his knees, flashing everyone behind him when he bent down. Everyone groaned out in disgust as they saw Atsumu's bare butt, but you ignored them as you looked down at him with a blank look.
“I’m so sorry,” Atsumu said quickly, “I found your uniform, and we-I thought it was funny to dress and try to act like you.”
“Was it?” You said, with a dull tone.
“N-No,” Atsumu whimpered.
“Promise me you won’t do it again?” You said with a threatening voice.
Looking up at you and nodding his head quickly, “I promise!”
“Good,” you nodded your head, “go change.”
Atsumu was quick to rush but he froze once again when he heard you, “Oh and Atsumu… You're no longer my favorite.”
“Ouch…” Suna said behind his phone, “He’s been de-favorited.”
Atsumu had a painful look on his face when he heard it. No longer your favorite, Atsumu felt his heart cracking. Nudging your head towards the exit, silently telling him to get change, Atsumu walked with his head down in shame. But if he walked with his head up and walked quickly, he wouldn’t have bumped into someone.
“What are you wearing Atsumu?” Everyone heard Kita’s cold tone. Atsumu froze again, once again fearful for his life. You just snickered at Atsumu’s back lucky as you grabbed the bags that Suna carelessly dropped and then headed to the benches to prepare for practice. All while smiling as Kita lecture Atsumu for stealing your clothes.
After Kita’s lecture to Atsumu, everything was ready for practice. Many were already stretching, preparing their bodies for their training. Many people, mostly Osamu, were making jokes about Atsumu's bad luck. You and Kita were by the benches, casually having a conversation.
“What do you think the surprise is?” Kita asked you with his arms crossed.
Shrugging your shoulders, you looked at him, “I was going to ask you the same thing.”
Before the two of us could continue on the topic, the couch and the assistant teacher came in the gym yelling, “Go ahead and start two laps outside!”
Every volleyball member, except for Kita, started to go out for their warm-up run. Coach Kurosu walked up to you and Kita with a smile and greeted you, “I know you two are waiting for the surprise, so I’m just going to say it. With the twin's behavior and taking care of the team, I thought it was helpful to get you an assistant manager!”
You and Kita both smiled at the thought of extra help, but both of your smiles halted a bit when Coach Kurosu continued, “You two probably already know her, it’s Osamu’s girlfriend, Hara Yuna. She offered her help for the training camp in Tokyo and for the remaining of the year.”
Both you and Kita nodded your head in understanding, secretly sharing a look of concern. Coach walked off to the side of the gym and did a few stretches to warm up, leaving you and Kita alone. “I have a bad feeling.”
“I didn’t know Yuna and Osamu were together,” Kita looked at you with a questionable look. Both of you took a deep breath in and breath out to help whatever will be coming your way.
“Sorry, I’m late!” You heard a high pitched voice, “I wanted to say hi to Osamu first.”
You gave your smile as you heard her while Kita nodded his head in understanding. Not moving your mouth, you asked with a fake smile, “Do we really have to do this?”
“Someone is always watching,” Kita said. Both you and Kita turned to face Kurosu, who gave both of you a thumbs up and a wide smile, glad there will be extra hands to help. Kita gave him a nod, silently telling him to thank you while you gave him a smile and a thumbs up. Looking back at Yuna, you noticed that she wasn’t wearing the correct shoes or clothing for practice in the summer heat, “This is going to be terribly, isn’t it?”
“Yeah…”
Tumblr media
“Okay, so I usually take notes whenever they are having a match,” You explained to Yuna as you looked at the boys playing. “Try to find any habits they are doing and anything they can work on-are you listening to me?”
“Huh?” Yuna said, looking up from her nails, saying in her normal voice, “Sorry, but I was checking to see if I broke my nail.”
Letting out a hum, you made a face as if you were restricting from saying something. As if he could sense your mood, Suna looked at you and gave you a smile in encouragement, silently saying you can handle this. You gave him a reassuring smile and an understanding saying you got this. Turning back to face her, you opened your mouth to speak, but she was quick to say something, “No offense, but I know your a “nice girl” but I don’t trust you with my honey bunny.”
“What?” You eyed her in disbelief.
Lightly scoffing at you, she gave you an innocent look, “I see the way you act with him and I saw last week that you two went somewhere together. Osamu didn’t respond to my messages so I know something is going on.”
Hearing her explication, you couldn’t help but have a burst of bubbling laughter escape your throat, “That is the funniest thing someone has ever said.”
“This isn’t funny,” Yuna narrowed her eyes at you.
“Oh, but it is,” you wipe a stray tear from your eye, “me and Miya? Please I can barely say his name without cringing.”
“They explain last Friday when you two left together,” She raised her eyebrows in defense.
“He was following me,” you told her, “and he wanted to learn how to skate.”
Rolling her eyes, Yuna looked back at the boys and said, “He told me that he hates ice skating but nice try with the lie, but anyway, I’m watching you (L/n).”
Yuna then proceeds to walk away to the other side of the court when Coach Kurosu called for a break. You felt a view popping of your head in anger as you tighten your grip around your notebook and pen as you started at her. “That little b-”
“Hey,” Suna gained your attention as he walked up to you with a towel around his neck and taking a sip of water, “were you about to curse?”
“No,” You gritted your teeth. Opening your notebook and started to write down some notes.
“Are you okay?” Suna asked cautiously as he dapped his sweat off.
“No.”
“Do you want to-”
“She thinks I’m going to steal Miya.” You started, closing your notebook after you used the pencil as a bookmark. “Because of how I act around him and because of last week when I taught him how to ice skate. Oh but get this! She didn’t believe me and said that even though I’m a-and I quote-a nice girl and doesn’t trust me to be with her honey bunny.”
Ending your rant with a scoff and a mocking tone, you faced Suna with an angry pout. Your pout became bigger when saw Suna’s amusement after hearing your rant. You gave him a glare to which he chuckled too. Suna started to talk but you weren’t paying attention, since your accident made eye contact with Yuna, who was cooing at Osamu.
She gave you a displeasing look that read, “Know your place.” Feeling your eye twitched, you put your notebook on the nearby bench and turned to face Suna with an innocent look. “Hey, can you bend down a bit?” You asked him, “There’s something on your face.”
“Huh? Oh sure,” Suna shrugged, bending down so he was face to face to you. Waiting for you to take whatever was on his face, Suna was stunned by what you did. You took the towel that was hanging around his neck and patted his face, loudly cooing at him, “You worked so hard and you sweat so much Rin!”
“Rin-What are you doing?” Suna felt his cheeks feeling slightly heat up. Feeling embarrassed by how you were pampering him with the towel.
“Just play along, I have an idea,” you whispered to him. You then said the next part loudly for everyone to hear, causing everyone to look at you and Suna, “Don’t sweat too much okay baby! We have a date tomorrow and I don’t want you to be so tired.”
“Date?” Suna whispered at you, “What are you doing?”
Cupping his cheeks and forcefully squishing them, you whispered, “If the reason Yuna asked to become an assistant manager because she thinks I’m trying to steal Miya so… If she thinks I’m with someone then she’ll leave and we don’t have to deal with her.”
“Your reasoning is good but your plan is terrible,” Suna whispered, trying to reason with you.
“Shut up you don’t have a say in this,” you whispered back. With a wide smile, you place the towel back on his neck and took the water bottle, “Let me fill this up for you, okay my love!”
“Don’t mess this up,” you whispered and then placed a small kiss on his cheek. Suna instantly froze when you landed a kiss on him, his face became even redder with the action. Standing up straight, Suna places a hand gently on the spot you kissed him saying, “She kissed me…”
“Oi,” he heard Atsumu yelled behind him. Turning around to face him, he saw Atsumu and few other boys glaring at him, “You got a little something on your cheek.”
“Get away from me,” Suna instantly said, protecting his cheek. Slowly backing away from the small group that was after him and his cheek.
As you were walking past Osamu and Yuna, you gave Yuna a blank look but you did accidentally look at Osamu as well. Reaching outside to the water fountain, you proceeded to fill Suna’s water bottle.
Finishing up filling his water bottle, you twisted the cap around and turned around. Surprise to see Yuna standing there, you jumped back in shock, dropping the water bottle in the process. You pouted as you saw the water leaving the water and saw the ground drank it up.
“You are so shameless,” You heard Yuna said in a high voice, “flirting with my baby when you’re dating Suna? You are unbelievable.” Flipping her hair, it hid your face, causing you to flinch back. You had a shocked face as you saw Yuna walked away, confused about the events.
I barely looked at him… She’s crazy…
Shaking your head in disbelief, you bend down to grab the water bottle and refilled it up. Hearing someone walking behind you, you sighed out, “If you're here again to say how shameless I am, it’s best to-Oh, it’s you.”
“You were called shameless?” Suna asked with a raised eyebrow.
Handing him his water bottle, Suna happily grabbed it and took a few sips. Explain the events that happened with Yuna, Suna nodded his head, showing he was listening. “So I’m guessing your plan didn’t work?”
“Shut it,” you crossed your arms with a pout, “we just have to act more like a couple.”
“Does that me you get to kiss me more?” Suna asked, looking away with tinted cheeks and a small hopeful look in his eyes.
Nervous chuckling at him, you scratched the back of your neck, “Oh yeah, sorry about that earlier. I won’t do that again.”
“I-It’s fine if you do it again…”
“What?”
“What.”
Tumblr media
It was now the end of practice. The gym was cleaned up, the net was neatly put away, and the balls were in the basket. Everyone was sitting on the floor in a semi-circle, listening to Coach Kurosu talking about the training camp happening in a few days. Everyone was paying attention, letting out a hum or a nod in acknowledgment.
“All right, that is all I have to say,” He ended his speech, “tomorrow is your free day to relax, so use it wisely. Y'all are free to go.”
Everyone all thanked the coaches as they stood up from the floor. As you were about slug your bag over your shoulder, Suna was quick to stop you, “Let me get that.”
“Thanks,” you said, handing it to him, “but you don’t have to.”
“What kind of boyfriend will I be if I don’t help my girlfriend,” Suna smirked, eying Yuna, who had her arms around Osamu.
Yuna seeing the events unfold with envy. Decided to talk loudly with a childish voice, “Samu-Wamu! This bag is heavy! Can you carry it?”
Looking at her with a bored look, Osamu raised his hand up to her face and said, “My shoulder hurts from practice. Also please let go of my arm, you are putting pressure on my shoulder.”
“Oh,” was all Yuna was able to say as she detached herself with a pout. But she then put on an innocent smile and said in a high voice, “In that case let me take of you!”
“Thank you, but no,” Osamu said and then walked away, heading to where Kita and Aran were.
But before he reached the group, Yuna yelled out loud for everyone to hear her, “I love you honey bun! I’ll wait for you outside to take me home!”
“Y-Yeah…” Osamu awkwardly said, turning his head to face her.
“Aren’t you going to say it back?” Yuna yelled louder, saying it as if she was a child.
“S-Say what back?” Osamu stuttered, sweating due to nervousness and having everyone's attention on him. Suna, Atsumu, and a few first years were snickering at the scene, finding Osamu nervous hilarious at the moment. While others cringe at Yuna’s high pitch voice.
“Yeah, Samu!” Atsumu grinned, laughing at his twin, “Say it back!”
“I-I,” Osamu stuttered, not wanting to say it. He then looked around, trying to find anyone to help him, but they were all having a teasing smile. Osamu's eye landed on you, who was directly behind Yuna but a few feet away. With a sigh, Osamu said those three words, “I love you.”
“I love you too honey bunny!” Yuna cheered as she skipped outside with her bag.
Everyone snickers at Osamu or cringe at the awkward scene. While you just had a shocked expression at Osamu, who held eye contact with you when he said those words. But you shocked your head, thinking it was nothing, and turned to look at Suna, who was recording the events. You rolled your eyes at him and snatched his phone from his hand to hit the stop button. But before you gave it back to him, you send it to your phone to laugh (or see if he really was looking at you) at it later.
Handing him back the phone, you and Suna started to head to the door, waving everyone goodnight. Remembering the situation, you linked your arm against him, pushing yourself closer to him. Taking a step outside, the two of you notice Yuna standing not too far. As the two of you got closer, you ask Suna in a fake loving sound, “I hope I’m not hurting your shoulder.”
Going with the flow and going with your plan, Suna looked down at you lovingly right as the two of you passed Yuna and said, “Even if my shoulder hurts, I still want you to hold onto me.”
The two of you heard Yuna puffed out in anger, wishing Osamu was like that. Both of you snickered as you walked off school grounds and headed to your home. In the middle of your walk home, Suna decided to ask, “So, about the date tomorrow.”
“Huh?” You looked up at him, “Oh, yeah, we don’t have to do anything! I actually have plans tomorrow with Akito!”
“You have plans with him?” Suna asked, failing to hide his disgust.
Hearing the disgusted tone in his voice, you couldn’t help but roll your eyes at him, “Why don’t you like him? He’s nice and-Oh no.”
You saw Suna took out his phone and opened the notes app. You rolled your eyes at him, as you leaned closer to see what he typed up on Akito. You almost laughed at the title, which read Akito Ain’t Shit Part 1.
“He’s arrogant,” Suna was quick to point out.
Sighing out a defense, you quickly said, “He’s an amazing figure skater! So what?”
“He’s a playboy.”
“He doesn’t lead girls on.”
“He flirts with you all the time.”
“He’s just nice.”
“He always says he loves you (Y/n),” Suna exclaimed, poking your forehead.
“He’s just joking!” You argued back, “Come by tomorrow, you’ll see that he’s just joking around.”
“Fine.”
Tumblr media
Osamu and Atsumu were walking together after dropping Yuna at home. Atsumu, laughing most of the time, seeing how helpless his brother looked when Yuna kept throwing herself at her. “OI!” Osamu yelled at his brother, “Stop yer laughing!”
“Just end things with her,” Atsumu laugh turned into a chuckle.
“I don’t want to…” Osamu trailed off.
“Why?” Atsumu looked at his older brother. Trying to hide his snicker as he said, “Because you love her?”
“I don’t love her!” Osamu yelled, kicking Atsumu in the behind. This caused the two to start fighting in the street. In the middle of their fight, someone yelled at them from their home widow, telling them to stop and threaten them if they didn’t.
Both Osamu and Atsumu instantly froze and started to run home, fearing for the stranger. Arriving at home, they greeted their parents and head to take a shower. Osamu took a shower first as Atsumu laid on their bedroom floor, tossing the ball.
After Osamu was done with his shower, he told Atsumu that the bathroom was free. Osamu then went to the kitchen to help prepare dinner. Helping with dinner, Osamu couldn’t help but feel embarrassed that he was looking at you when he said those three words. Osamu stopped chopping the vegetables and place the knife on the counter. He then walked over to the wall and rested his head on there, letting out a painful and embarrassing groan.
“Samu sweetie, are you okay?”
“Just end it Ma. Just end it.”

Monday morning rewatch thoughts:
I am in my feels, very angry at this episode.
Annie had little to no story so skipping her this time around.
Ruby & Stan:
- Stanimal trying to get the girls to strike was great, and I want to see him (not Beth) run the strip club so bad. I hope that is the storyline they take us down.
- Ruby and Stan once again are king and queen of communication. These two are such an excellent example of healthy and happy marriage.
- Ruby biting a lime at Stan’s replacement gave me life in the montage
Beth & Dean:
That’s who Beth gets paired with this week. Dean. Not Rio. Because that’s how mad I am at her.
- Dean on the bike ride scene was once again far too long and wasted precious screen time. I forced myself not to fast forward through that scene. And you know what I noticed? Dean literally compares being sexually assaulted in prison to being someone’s wife on a honeymoon and being forced to have a baby put inside you. Because that is how Dean sees his fucking wife and marriage. Literal other convicts sexually assaulting someone in prison is like them thinking you’re their wife on a honey moon. Let that fucking sink in. And no, I don’t think that was intentional characterization by the writers. That is just existing as a metaphor these writers chose to use while trying to continue a Dean redemption arc.
- Dean leaving the hot tub when the other guys were shitting on Beth for being a buzz kill was an attempt at showing “growth”. But it’s not. It’s fucking table stakes. See above mention of non consensual sex being like a wife.
- How Beth does not realize this is another of dean’s idiotic schemes and poor money decisions is beyond me.
- I am relieved only in that Beth looked upset after getting Rio arrested this time. Good. Be upset. You had a choice. I’m so mad at Beth right now. I’m honestly starting to think she deserves Dean.
- Beth, honestly you think Rio would hurt your kids? Then why turn him in? You’re so scared of him then why risk it? Choosing him would have meant protecting your kids if you look at it factually, he threatened your family if you turned him in. Like she’s just dumb at this point? The writers have characterized her as dumb. Did she conveniently forget season 1 when he got out? I mean for real? Do these writers even watch previous seasons?
- Beth being with Dean literally undermines all feminism about the show. I have said that before and will say it again. Dean is a cancer on this show’s fun. Pun intended.
- Beth uses her sweet housewife voice on Nick. Literally everyone but Rio. And she literally flirts with Nick. You’re literally married Beth. Divorce Dean before you flirt with yet another person.
Rio & Nick:
- Baby Rio looked like Rio I thought. Him drawing a boxer was heart breaking. Because he literally wanted that his entire life. The last flashback scene made it seem like he wanted it for money. Nick tells him he doesn’t need boxing because they have a way to get money now, but Rio literally wanted boxing from childhood. And Nick ripped that away from him. Nick gave him no choice. Not because he wanted him to learn a lesson, because he wanted to use him. Rio is Nick’s designated fall guy.
- Rio = good egg, Nick bad, better be fucking FORESHADOWING FOR RIO GETTING SOMETHING NICE FINALLY THIS SEASON. At least the writers told us that pretty openly.
- The champ champ champ now all makes sense
- Who is Rio’s coach and can we please have a cheesy storyline where the coach is the only one to ever be on his side
- What is he having them print for? The girls point it out like why does he need all of that?
- Him telling Beth he does need her? No he doesn’t. That was actually a very sweet line. The way he looked at her, he’s in love with her guys. Like his face said yes I need you because I can’t seem to give you up. He doesn’t need her for money. It’s unfortunate they chose to dirty it up with him threatening her family.
- Rio grows from the ashes. He is the designated fall guy who rises from the ashes to be untouchable. Hence Phoenix I guess. Sure.
- I actually like Nick being in the show. First because I’m mad at Beth. But mostly because he is the only character introducing a new dynamic. He is the only thing that’s not repetitive. The only fresh storyline. And he’s already making her talk about Rio. But also, would it fucking kill either of them to say the man’s damn name? But also I like the actor and think he’s pleasant to look at on screen, sue me.
- Oh look, Nick, another man telling Beth Rio is too dangerous for her when she LITERALLY SHOT HIM. Do you all REALIZE SHE IS NOT A DELICATE FUCKING LAMB.
- I am no longer convinced that Rio had a plan all this time, not after rewatching the car scene. It seems like Rio was ready to kill her, mostly because he doesn’t know another choice, and Nick pointed out the obvious. Unless Rio is playing Nick. But truth be told, Rio threatening her family was ooc. And I’m holding on to the fact that he said family, aka Dean Annie Ruby who he has threatened before, and she took it to mean kids. I’m also holding on to the fact that Rio puts on masks. He puts on cold gang banger mask, he tries to manipulate and find new ways to incentivize beth. If you look at it that way, as him trying to get her to choose him rather than a plot of trying to get her to turn him in, it’s heartbreaking. He is so desperate to get her to pick him he literally pulled out his final option. His only remaining incentive that he hasn’t tried on her. EDIT: UNLESS Rio is playing Nick too. Because now? SS trusts Beth. And Nick trusts Rio. Nick thinks Rio and Beth aren’t on the same side. That Beth turned Rio in and Rio’s murderous over it. And Rio can use Beth to take Nick down without Nick seeing them coming. I hope they’re going for that. Because that would be genius. And would really be Rio 100 steps ahead, and would make the whole episode make sense in terms of his characterization.
- The arrest scene was heart breaking. The complete betrayal in his eyes was so sad. As others have stated, choosing to slam him on a table, while yes it is realistic to how he would likely be treated in the real world, was not necessary. He wasn’t resisting and was literally just standing there. Idk why the writers feel the need to be “realistic” in some moments and not in others. Poor choice. But what I did appreciate was him staring at Beth. Like she was forced to face him this time. With his face shoved against a table while she stands there being cuffed gently. She did that. She didn’t see him arrested on tv. She didn’t run away after shooting him. She had to stand there in his gaze looking at the betrayal on his face. Good. I’m sorry but she deserved it. She needs to face the damn consequences of her actions. Sorry I’m upset with her RN.
- At this point I believe Rio is in love with Beth. And it seems the writers are actually pushing metaphors and moments that make us sympathize with Rio and see Nick as the bad guy. I do think Beth will eventually get there/realize her feelings for Rio later this season but it might be too little too late. Time will tell.
Promo/Thoughts going forward:
- I like Phoebe and don’t mind her being around
- Rio and Beth on a bench again is good news to me. On the same bench.
- Idk if it’s a time jump but Rio comes in with a fresh hair cut, new wardrobe, and a tan looking like he just had a hot girl summer and is feeling great, over his ex, and is ready to fuck shit up.
- I want to see Rio remind Beth that she betrayed him personally. I want her to have to face that. It’s not just she betrayed him professionally. I want to see him reject her, I want to see her flirt or bat her lashes at him and him to be like nope sorry. Just for a minute though like just one episode lol. And only because I think it will make her realize her feelings for him.
- Beth and Rio v Nick please. Just give us something fucking new.
- These writers had an amazing path they could have gone down of the housewife partnering with a gang banger. It would have been fun, plenty of comedic gold available, and plenty of options for conflict between them and with external forces. And instead they chose this. I feel sometimes like this show would have been way better if it wasn’t on NBC. This story, this chemistry, belonged with writers who would realize its potential. That’s what I find disappointing.

For the bot reader sparkling prompt what about Swerve and or Whirl? (I’m especially curious about Whirl’s reaction if the (or one) of the sparkling(s) resembles him pre-empurata) I would toss a possible Misfire in there too but I don’t think he’s a bot you usually do.
Hope you're ready for FEELS and CUTE SPARKLINGS because that's absolutely my favorite combo anon! Plus I'd always liked the Scavengers but never really looked into their appearance in the comic until now, and thank you for giving me the impetus to learn about the chaotic but still lovable gaggle of misfits.
Swerve
·He's admittedly been on a whole new level of euphoria since the two of you started dating, but the moment he found out you were gonna be Creators he more or less ascended. Every scan nearly brings him to tears and he keeps all the pictures on him wherever he goes, so any bot that comes near will be ambushed by a flood of bragging and a veritable album of a bitlet that hasn't even been born yet. Suffice to say that when it was finally time to meet your little bundle, he was emotional, though for your sake he remained a surprisingly steadfast and supportive partner through the entire emergence. But the moment he laid his visor on that squawling little bitlet...
·"Tears" aren't quite sufficient to describe the waterfall that poured from his visor, but thankfully the staff was quite accustomed to such reactions and smoothly checked over the newborn before handing them back to their new parents. As a metallurgist for a species made of metal that's at it's most vulnerable after birth, he's actually been present for a few sparklings entering the world to provide potential care for those considered high risk, but nothing could have prepared him for seeing your beautiful new bitlet in person.
·Between praising you and the beeb he can hardly get a coherent word out through the blubbering, but his awe and adoration is still clear as day. You made a whole new bot, and now they're here, and they're the most amazing little sparkling the planet has ever seen! Every feature of yours or his that he sees gets him crying anew, and he can't possibly fathom what he's done to deserve any of these blessings. Countless photos of their first few hours are accumulated to join his collection in addition to being shared via intergalactic Wi-Fi to every friend you have.
·When your chosen visitors arrive he's absolutely effusive with his praise of you and the beeb. Do they see this bitlet? Have any of them ever seen anything this precious in all of history?! His Conjunx made them isn't that the most amazing thing in the entire galaxy like how did they even do that?! Even bots who know him well are amazed by how genuinely tender and affectionate he is, as there's not a joke to be heard from him even once. Truthfully he can't think of anything funny about this at all, except maybe how even the tougher bots that visit absolutely melt when they see the sweet little face of a newborn amidst a bundle of blankets, but he can't really blame them now can he?
·Despite all of his joy for the two of you being Creators, when it's just you and him and the sparkling again, he's quite hesitant to ask if he can hold them. He's held them before in the rush of the moment, but here in the still and calm... It worries him. There's so much caution in his grip when he takes them into a gentle cradle, his bulky arms easily supporting the tiny weight despite how unnaturally heavy they feel. There's a flash of worry for all the chances he'll have to mess up, but that disappears when a little fist pops free of the blanket and into the bitlets mouth, where they contentedly suckle on it in the most adorable display he's ever beheld. Somehow he knows it will be okay in that moment, because he'll never let anything happen to you or your new little addition.
Whirl
·His reaction to his own prospective sirehood was a near perfect example of internal screaming beneath a veneer of calm. Of course he wasn't necessarily surprised, and he loved you more than anything in any universe, but... you've met him, right? Sure, you fragged him, but have you paid attention to the kind of bot he is? Do you really want any of this around a sparkling, or remixed into one? Admittedly he hadn't had an argument for your simple "yes" in reply, and to the day your little bitlet arrives he still can't think of a rebuttal, beyond how his claws don't give you much of a hand to hold or provide good massages.
·Somehow the entire process manages to be Unicron levels of unthinkable horror and awe inspiring beautiful wonder at the exact same time, and his attitude is even more varied as a result. There are moments he's the calm partner whispering sweet nothings, the aggressive coach shouting for you to kick labor's ass, the panicking wimp who refuses to believe the body parts he's seeing belong where they are, and the petrified but dutiful sire-to-be frozen in horror while you hold onto him for dear life. Thankfully he manages to reign it all in once the two of you have a newly minted bitlet wailing in the real world.
·He'd expected to be awed, but also knew to brace for seeing a bundle that... didn't much resemble his current self, due to Empurata not affecting genetics, but he never could have prepared himself for the reality. One look at this tiny and flawless little accident and he comes embarrassingly close to fainting, his long legs folding into a chair some brilliant medic was smart enough to push beside the bed, and his optic growing misty as he beholds you and the whole new person you made. There's awe at the fact he contributed to making something unbelievably perfect, happiness for a million reasons he doesn't care to comprehend, but also... sadness. A face he'd never thought he would see again is looking up at him with the biggest and most innocent pair of optics, all while a tiny mouth nibbles on a pair of servos so like the ones he had taken from him.
·He should be... angry, maybe? Old Whirl would have been angry, furious at the Functionists for ruining so much, but he just doesn't feel it. The sadness in his spark isn't even for him, it's for this little one who will grow up and eventually figure out why his sire looks the way he does, and all the pain that may cause a bot who never did anything to anyone... But that feeling is so small it's quickly swept away so he can feel what he actually wants to feel, and he wants to feel happy damn it! You and he have a bitlet, and a pretty good one as far as bitlets go! Heavy stuff can be addressed later, the two of you get to enjoy this with friends! There's precious few bots he trusts enough to visit, but those that make the cut are welcomed and invited to pay respects to the cutest sparkling ever born and the bot who squeezed them out. He has to fight incredibly hard to keep from shedding happy tears, but seeing so many of his friends coo over this tiny miracle strains his emotional reservation to the limits.
·For all the love he has for the little one, and all his progress in accepting himself, he still hasn't held them by the time night is settling and you're in need of rest. Only your obvious exhaustion and his protective nature compels him to finally accept the sleeping sparkling, and even then he's a wreck on the inside, his spark all but crackling with anxiety as the delicate beeb is laid in his arms while he stays carefully seated. Nothing could have made him understand just how tiny this little guy was until this moment. As you drift off, he tempts fate and holds out the tip of a careful claw, not daring to ventilate as he gently adjusts some blankets for a better look. Something like abject terror shoots through him as a stubby hand takes hold of him, but he doesn't move, and the little one only coos and keeps his solid little grip. At that he lets himself cry just a little. Nothing will ever hurt you or this tiny gift so long as he lives, and he won't let anything past present or future ruin the happiness you've made together.
Misfire
·His whole life he's had a soft spot for things that need caring for, but every time he's found something or someone to take care of he's told himself all he really cares about is the potential benefit for him. Recent events have forced him to admit that there's a soft spark under his... business savvy ways. Finding out he'd be a sire though? That was an entirely new level of self discovery, because he's absolutely thrilled and has no logical reason why. He quickly has to tell the rest of the Scavengers, which becomes daily updates on everything sparkling related, so even his close collection of friends is admittedly a little relieved when the bitlet finally arrives and they can meet them. Thankfully none of them were there to see him faint on more than one occasion during the delivery, but he does have to make up a story about the dents on his head when he calls to give the announcement that their newest Scavenger has arrived, claiming that he got them in a heroic dive to save the bitlet when they were still slippery and dropped by a medic.
·While never one to be too mushy, he's made incredibly sappy just by the sight of the new little bitlet when they finally end up clean and swaddled in your arms. All across the little one's features are pieces of him that he recognizes on the spot. Blended perfectly with those are obvious signs of you, creating a whole new being who's got some of you both while still existing as their own unique little wonder. It defies all logic and yet he's so happy he can't really bring himself to care. From their optics to their stubby hands to their impossibly cute little pedes they're already the most perfect being to ever come into existence, making them tied with his Creators for perfection, and no bot is ever going to be able to convince him otherwise on that undeniable fact. But, for the sake of the moment he does have to wonder; does this sparkling yet realize how attractive they're going to be?
·The group is getting a million messages a minute from the new sire as they head over to see the newest addition, and when they finally arrive he does everything he can to present the little beeb with a proper introduction but can't stop getting misty optics and sniffling the whole time. Thankfully the Scavengers are an understanding bunch. Every one of them welcomes their new teammate with a carefully observant Misfire there to ensure they don't risk any kind of damage to the bitlet. Not that he doesn't trust them, but he does know them, so... None of them take it personally. Nickel is spared this oversight, of course, being a responsible bot and a medic more than capable of holding even a proportionally sizable sparkling. One she informs the new Creators is very cute in her proffesional opinion.
·Grimlock gets a special little moment with the new Sire, specifically one in which he gets to truly see how far he's come with his little adopted family now that it's started to grow. Misfire is fully trusting as he hands over the snoozing bitlet, and while the Dinobot is beyond touched, he does indeed hesitate just the tiniest bit. Gigantic servos absolutely dwarf the sparkling when they're settled within. Despite what any bot walking into the room might think, Misfire knows that at this very moment his bitlet is more or less in the safest place in the universe. They seem to be at least somewhat aware of this, as their little tubby cheeks lift up in a smile when they behold the gigantic bot looking down on them, a sight so unimaginably adorable it makes every bot present shed at least a single tear.
·When the rest of the group heads out after leaving a mountain of gifts in their wake, Misfire happily takes the beeb so you can get some sleep, because he at least got some rest when he passed out during emergence. Holding his little one with just the tiniest hint of uncertainty, he spends the night mostly chatting with them in a fully one sided whisper conversation, though he does occasionally get a tiny sound from the sparkling he'll swear is a coherent reply. Understandably, this little one has a lot to catch up on though. He can't help smiling at the thought of all the adventures he's going to be able to brag about to them, and how many you'll all have together once this little one is up and finally walking. There's so much he'll have to teach them too, and somehow that excites him more, knowing you and he will get to help shape this little wonder into the most amazing bot that's ever lived...

Ice cold
part 3 (Sakusa Kiyoomi x Reader | series)
Ice Sakting AU
Song rec: Pope Is a Rockstar - SALES
November
„Ladies and gentlemen, we will be arriving Paris shortly...“
My brows furrowed in confusion as I slowly started opening my eyes. Grimacing at the pain in my neck I started rubbing my hand on the area. Sakusa was seated beside me looking out the window, a pair of headphones stuck in his ears.
Tapping his shoulder carefully, I tried making conversation with him since his lack of movement scared me a bit.
„Did you not leave your seat once?“ I asked casually after gaining his attention. „Of course not. I’d rather piss myself than getting on one of the toilets here.“ The boys‘ eyes skimmed over his phone. After taking a brief glance to the side he earned a groan from me.
„Jesus, did you listen to that the whole time?“
Sakusa finally turned fully to the side, greeting me with a annoyed face. „Are you interrogating me?“
I huffed out a laugh before the deeper voice on the other side of me could chime in.
„Y/N is trying to say that you should maybe put your attention on something else for a bit so you can breathe and think clearly for the competition.“ Both of our heads were now turned to the trainer that had a magazine in one hand and a wine glads in the other. „Wasn’t that what you were trying to say dear?“ I only shrugged, dismissing the caring undertone that he had implied. „I just personally think it would drive me crazy.“
“I’d rather listen to this song for days on repeat than have to listen to your snoring again.” The curly head was getting more and more sarcastic over the course of the flight and I was getting sick of it.
„Well thank god we don’t have to sleep next to each other ever again.“
Looking him directly in the eye, I finally felt a little more on eye level with him. I guess we just both get a bit bitchy when we‘re stuck in a big metal box with wings for hours.
„I mean, you never know what the future holds.“Both of us snorted in disbelief at Mr. Watanabe as he kept his gaze on the magazine.
Here we were, Paris. It was beautiful.
I mean- as far as I could tell from the short taxi drive from the airport to the hotel.
„So you guys know, no breaks. Go up to your rooms, leave your stuff there and we’ll go directly to the rink.“ Sakusa only nodded after taking one of the key cards from his trainer. Sighing at the stress that was already hitting me since we got off the plane, I also took a card. Room 147 B.
Suddenly I noticed that the dark haired boy had already left my sight. I gotta admit, he is fast.
After getting to my designated room and literally throwing my stuff in there. I only quickly got changed into something that didn’t smell like a long day at the airport. After closing my door I came face to face to the man himself.
„Tzeh, he wasn’t wrong when he said we wouldn’t know what the future holds. I’ll probably hear your snores through the walls.“ Sakusa had what appeared to be an attempt of a smirk on his face, as he then walked down the hallway.
„Oh my god, its not even that bad. Can you stop being such an asshole?” Rolling my eyes I followed the skater down the hall, back to the lobby.
____
The venue was even bigger than I expected. As we walked past the huge white walls towards the rink, Sakusa excused himself to the lockers. The ceiling was open and the all the seats around it made me feel dizzy. All eyes will be on one performer.
Shuddering at the thought I turned to Mr. Watanabe. “Do you think he’s-“
He’s alright, trust me. Sakusa has performed in bigger venues.”
The trainer confidently clapped his hands together. My mouth fell open as my brows furrowed at the thought of even bigger rinks. “You’re kidding...”
Suddenly I heard scratching ice and felt a figure coming to a halt on the rink behind me.
“Don’t you know, Sakusa is a little superstar!” I turned excitedly when I recognized Sugas voice, engulfing him in a awkward hug over the railing between us.
“Wow! At least someone is happy to see me.” The smile was evident in his voice. We both had really missed eachother, since after the time we first met we had been texting constantly. He was a great friend to me eventhough we haven’t seen each other often.
“Of course! I’m not just here for grumpy cat.” We chuckled at the nickname of the black haired boy until I could feel his eyes pierce through my back.
“Nice to see you have chosen to befriend the enemy.” I rolled my eyes as Sakusa stopped to stand next to me. “Oh come on Omi, relax a little. Behind the scenes we’re all just buddies after all.”
“I’m not your buddy.” The boy mumbled as he secured his skates once again. Suddenly another figure swiftly appeared behind Suga.
“Omi, you seem thrilled as always.” The boy leaned confidently on the railing next to Suga. This must be Aran Ojiro as Mr. Watanabe had informed me beforehand. He was an amazing performer, gathering alot of points for his presence alone.
“I told you guys to stop calling me that.” Sakusa stood up, ignoring the two skaters as he departed towards the ice rink. He easily moved to along the ice and made his rounds. After Sakusas little fit, Aran turned to me with a grin as he held out a hand. “I’m Aran by the way.” My hand found his as I returned the smile and introduced myself.
After talking a little with him and Suga, it was clear to me that they had already been close for years.
“So you and Omi? How long have you guys been...?”Aran raised a brow playfully, I immediately shook my head.
“Hell no. Not in a million years.”
“Excuse me? So you mean to tell me that you came all the way here to the City of love, only to watch some skinny boys twirl on ice?”Suga exclaimed as he gave a look.
“I- I uhmm... Yeah?” My confidence went downhill as I thought of another thing to say. Both of them were such big characters. I kinda felt boring between two pro skaters that lived these crazy lifes. Flying from one country to another, performing in even bigger venues than the one we were currently standing in.
“Well let me tell you, I’d never thought I’d see him inviting someone to a competition. Let alone a girl.” Aran chuckled as his eyes travelled to Sakusas form that was still moving to warm himself up.
“It’s not like that though.” Both of the boys eyes were now on me, seemingly interested in what I’d say next. I looked down as my face began heating up. He could never like me like that. “I- I just helped him with picking out a song and the rest was thanks to his trainer.”
Aran hummed in acknowledgment but decided to speak up again. “That’s something though. He wouldn’t consider to ask us for any type of advice really.”
Sugawara chuckled at his comment, lightly pushing himself back on the ice. “Well, I’ll have to get moving again before I’ll start freezing to death.” I gave him a quick smile as I watched his skate away, Aran close to follow the grey haired boy until he quickly turned around again.
“Was nice meeting ya! Maybe you guys can meet us at the entrance after practice. We’ll probably explore the city for a little bit before the big day tomorrow.” My eyes went wide at the offer, that caught me off guard. They really wanted me there? I barely knew anybody besides them. “Sure! But we’ll see if I’ll manage to drag Omi along.” I playfully remarked, which was met with a small chuckle from Aran as he also pushed himself back onto the rink.
____
My eyes snapped open as I felt someone’s elbow meet in my side. Still slightly in shock I looked to my right.
“Jesus Sakusa, couldn’t you have woken me up a bit less violent.”
The curly head didn’t even seem to listen to my nagging since his eyes were fixated on the rink. I followed his gaze until I was met with a tall lanky figure, moving elegantly on the icey floors.
“Lev Haiba. He’s one of jury’s favorites.” Sakusas tone was more serious as he watched the boy skate his routine.
“Don’t worry, just because heart a favorite doesn’t mean he’ll do any better than you. You’ve been working on this performance for so long. You’ve actually tried something new and decided to change things up while maintaining your style.”
My hand subconsciously rose to almost land on his shoulder but I decided against it, as I drew it back between my legs. “You’ll definitely outshine this guy in a heartbeat when you step on the ice.” I looked at him through my lashes, waiting for any kind of reaction.
“We’ll see.”
The boy stood up abruptly without sparing me another glance. Then suddenly I got a hold of his one of his sleeves to ask him the question I had been dying to ask for hours.
“Do you maybe wanna... hang out?” Sakusa turned to me with an unsure look on his face. To me he seemed as if he was either confused as to why I’d even attampt to ask or why I’d dare to hold his sleeve. I quickly let go of the end of the skaters jacket and stood up infront of him. “So?”
He sighed in defeat as my eyes stayed expectantly locked on his. “Alright, but lets ask Mr. Watanabe before we-“
Loud laughs could be heard from the seats above us. One of them clearly being from our precious coach, enjoying his time with some of the other coaches (probably the femal ones).
“Well, I guess he won’t mind a little fun!” I walked ahead of the black haired boy with my head held high. This time I won’t let him run away from me nor his other ‘friends’.
When we arrived at the entrance there was a group of around 5 people waiting. Sakusas pace slowed down a little as he saw Suga approach us.
“Oi, you guys actually decided to come! I thought I’d have to wake you before Omi would leave you to sleep in the venue.” Me and some of the people giggled along with the joke but Sakusa clearly wasn’t amused.
“Well, are you guys waiting for more?” I asked curiously but Aran shook his head. “Nah, we can go. We’ll probably look for some food place before we can check out the area.” Nodding at his idea, the group slowly took off until I noticed Sakusas figure standing still like a statue.
“Sakusa?”
I turned to the boy with brows furrowed in confusion, why was he making such a fuss now? “Just go ahead, I’ll wait for Mr. Watanabe and head back to the hotel.” The boy stayed nonchalant not even noticing how I was practically fuming on the inside. He can’t even allow himself to have fun in freaking Paris.
“Are you serious?”
I stared him down now, tired of his behavior. Sure he can be antisocial but these guys were all so nice to him and trying to be his friends, but he wouldn’t budge.
“What?”
“We’re in Paris! We should be exploring, having fun-“
Sakusa only let out a cold laugh as he looked away from me in disbelief. “I’m not here to have fun, y/n. I’m here for a freaking competition.” Suddenly he stepped closer to me with a daring look on his face.
“These aren’t my friends and they aren’t yours either. As soon as we leave, they’ll forget about you and your stale personality because they have more important things to worry about than texting some average girl from a small little town.”
I looked down to my feet. This time I wasn’t feeling shame or embarrassment. I was in rage.
Then a voice rang from further away, breaking the tension. “Are ya guys coming or not?” I cleared my throat for a second, turning towards the group. “Just a minute!” My head moved back up to face the boy infront of me.
“Just because you can’t let anybody get close to you, doesn’t mean they are automatically the bad guys. You won’t even open up to me, Sakusa.”
I slowly walked away from his form without seeing his reaction but I decided to speak up again, my back turned towards the skater.
“I’m sick of trying to excuse or even understand you and your ways. I’m done.”
My feet moved on their own as I kept my eyes locked on the group in the distance. Their giggles and talks piercing through the heavy tension I had just left behind.
____
After finding a small restaurant that wasn’t going to cost us a whole three day budget in Paris, we finally settled down at a table.
I actually calmed down pretty quickly after the fight with Sakusa. Usually my thoughts would be stuck on these type of things for hours but I felt confident in what I had said. I wasn’t going to let him ruin my night or any of the others for that matter.
“You okay?” Sugawara sweetly leaned towards me next to my seat. I shrugged off the uneasy feeling I had before and responded “Yeah, I’m just hungry.”. The boy gave me a sympathetic look before handing me one of the menu’s. “I definitely feel you on that one.” Letting out a laugh I quickly scanned over the menu.
Some time later we had all been full and ready to hit the streets. I also got introduced to the other people of the group in which mainly Suna and a pair of twins had stuck out the most. The Miya twins usually bickering and Suna showing me recordings of some of the most iconic fights between the other skaters. They were a pretty loud bunch, but it was actually pretty refreshing.
As we roamed around Paris, it seemed that tall classy buildings and cosy cafes were all over. Even in the break of dawn it seemed as if the night was still young. Lights adorned the streets and people were still busy as ever.
There was a little thought in the back of my head, just for a moment. Maybe Sakusa would have liked seeing some parts around here. The more quiet once, or the little river that mirrored the lights of the city.
When we ended at the infamous Eiffel Tower, Sugawara had already persuaded me into going onto the attraction though. It took me abit of strength to actually get all the way up there but the view was worth it.
All the city lights seemed to shine even brighter. Even the height was forgotten when the beauty of Paris had engulfed me already.
“I haven’t been up here since I was 12.” The voice of the one person I have been trying to avoid in my head was suddenly right behind me. I didn’t let myself turn to the curly hot head as I crossed my arms. “Why didn’t you just tag along if you’d end up here anyways...”
Sakusa stepped next to me, eyes focused on the view infront of us. “I only left the hotel a couple of minutes ago.” He then held a an image of Sunas instagram story up towards my face. “It wasn’t that hard to find you guys though.”. I stifled a laugh at the thought of Sakusa actually looking through our instagram stories to find us. “You’re ridiculous.”.
I felt his gaze on me. “I’m sorry about that thing at the venue...” His voice was barely audible, as if he wasn’t even sure what he had wanted to say next. “What thing exactly?” My eyes stayed on the buildings and lights, not once budging into giving him my attention.
Kiyoomi sighed, rubbing a hand over his face. He really wasn’t good at these kinds of things. “I didn’t want to be so fucking rude. I just-“ The boy stopped himself but then decided to just blurr out what he had already been thinking.
“I just thought you wanted to hang out with me, not with the whole group... I thought you’d actually want to be alone with me for once.” My brows furrowed in confusion. “We have been alone countless of times Omi.”
The use of his usually dreaded nickname suddenly made Sakusa look away quickly to hide his creeping blush. “Yes but it was because we had to be, not because you actually wanted to be around me.” My eyes went wide at the confession, my head snapping to his face. “What?”
Suddenly I could feel his hand touching mine cautiously. “I don’t want to be around those idiots-“ I chuckled at his remark until he continued his little speech. “but I shouldn’t have told you all of that crap. I was just a bit...” He looked to the ground, almost looking shy at this point. “Jealous?” I asked curiously with a hint of a smile on my lips. The boy looked up, a bit taken back by my sudden boldness. “Irritated, I guess.”
I smiled at the underlying victory, I knew what he was thinking for once. I could finally be more casual around him.
“Are you still nervous about the whole Lev thing?” I asked to break the silence that had been dawning on us for a bit now. “No, I think I’m alright.” My brows were raised at his relaxed answer. “So my peptalk did ease your mind, huh?” He smiled softly “I think you have that effect on me generally.”
As he turned to me his gaze lingered for a little too long, making me feel like I was about to freaking pass out. His hand swiftly grabbed mine and I knew I couldn’t contain my smile anymore.
“You know... I think I might like you.”
Finally I catched his eye, basically exposing my shameless happiness that was spread across my face.
“I think I might like you too.”
Everything; Paris, the competition, the job I had back home, all of these expectations including my year off of college, suddenly werent clouding my thoughts. We were both finally just here, in the moment.
And I had a lingering feeling, that even Kiyoomi could finally breathe for a second.
The end.
____
I hope you guys enjoyed it! I know it didn’t end with the competition but I wanted it to rather focus on the relationship they slowly built than on the skating alone. Hopefully it was still a nice ending though ^^

i know you like them both so yunichika and oda/aoki for the ship ask
thank you for giving me a chance to gush about these kids!!! they’re precious.... this got pretty long so imma put it under a cut
Tumblr media
YuniChika, the main boys of 2.43:
• when or if I started shipping it:
tbh i didn’t really ship them when i read the first book... they’re the kind of pairing that i can see people shipping and i think it’s cute, but i’m not super invested in them as a romantic pairing. I think i was more sold about them as a ship in the second book, but i can’t quite remember if there was a specific moment that made me change my mind, or if it was a gradual process
• my thoughts:
i think the anime definitely played up the tension between them (allll the blushes lol), but i’m glad people are enjoying the YuniChika content XD they’re pretty cute!
also, i think they balance each other well and spur each other to become better—Yuni and Chika are both self-centered(?) in very different ways: Yuni lacks drive because he mostly wanted to please people so they’ll like him, while Chika has the opposite problem in that he acts like he doesn’t care what people think of him.
but now Yuni is able to take a stand for his interest in volleyball and for Chika, and while Chika doesn’t really soften and still has a problem with not realizing how harsh he could be, he’s more willing to communicate his thoughts.
• what makes me happy about them:
boys reuniting! relearning how to have a relationship with one another! learning from past mistakes and trying to be better people together! HELL YEAH
• what makes me sad about them:
boys, please use your words to communicate with each other...
also, from Yuni’s perspective, it’s kinda sad when someone you used to know really well comes back into your life, but they’ve changed so much that they are essentially a different person... but of course they have a new opportunity to become closer now 😉 so i’m not that sad about it
• things done in art/fic that annoys me:
... there are fanworks for them?????????
(on a more serious note, erasing their flaws to make them more likable... please don’t make Chika ‘secretly nice’ or whatever, the kid is blunt as hell, and not realizing how his words affect others is his biggest flaw. on the other hand, Yuni can still be a little spineless at times, and sometimes his priorities are. questionable.)
• things I look for in art/fic:
hm, i’d like a future fic about them as professional players! i think their inclination is to stick together (they’re a package deal!) but it’d be super interesting to read something where they’re on rival teams years down the line
EDIT: haha Chika actually transferred to Keisei High School after their first Spring Tournament, so he and Yuni have faced each other as rivals since then (2.43 next 4years). they’re go to the same university and are on the same team now though!
• who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:
uh i don’t really have specific people for this, but Chika would probably have to be with someone who understands his love of volleyball (like Oda, but if Oda wasn’t their team captain and thus too much of a dad friend to qualify as a romantic interest), and someone who can inspire Yuni would be good for him
also, i know who i’d NOT be comfy about: the first book (and anime i guess) had this weird tension between Itoko and Yuni, COUSINS who BASICALLY GREW UP TOGETHER. i think(?) their weird whatever was mostly dropped in the 2nd book and wasn’t really made explicit, but like. what the hell. (i have no idea what happens beyond the 2nd book.)
• my happily ever after for them:
the YuniChika in college arc is being serialized rn, so in a way that’s already fulfilled? (i have NO idea what’s going on tho)
in general i just hope they can play volleyball together until one or both decide not to, for whatever reason, and that they stay in each other’s lives and support each other even after they’ve retired from competitive volleyball. i think with Yuni’s personality he could be a good coach after getting more experience, and Chika... he’s really valuable as a strategist, but I think he’d always be a little brusque, so he’s respected but hard to bond with if he does take on coaching?
• what is their favorite non-sexual activity?
bold of you to assume Chika even cares about sex
anyway, they don’t go to movies for a romantic date night, they go watch volleyball matches. sometimes this backfires when Chika gets too frustrated at bad plays tho
Tumblr media
and of course i will never pass up an opportunity to talk about Oda/Aoki, the main guys of my heart (my OTP for this series tbh):
• when or if I started shipping it:
they pinged on my radar when they were bickering in Ibara’s chapter, but i wasn’t super duper invested... and then I got to The Dog’s Perspective and the Giraffe’s Perspective (specifically The Kick™) and oh god i’ve never fallen so fast
• my thoughts:
GOD WOW Aoki really loves Oda... even though objectively Oda’s height prevents him from being a super ace, he is the coolest, strongest super ace to Aoki. i think it’s beautiful that someone can see you as your best self even when you’re feeling shitty about yourself. Aoki knows that objectively Oda faces a lot of obstacles, and wants to support him as best as he can—not out of pity (pity would’ve burned out long ago), but because he really respects Oda’s passion and drive.
also, these two have unaddressed issues that they should talk about! Oda, i know you feel inferior but you are so much better than you think you are. please accept that Aoki really does respect you, and that you are worthy of it (or like, you don’t have to be ‘’’worthy’’’’ or ‘’’’’’deserving’’’’’’’’’’ of it, because it is Aoki’s choice to support you and play volleyball with you!!! it’s not something you gotta earn, it’s something freely and happily given to you)
(ahhhhhh i die when i think of them)
• what makes me happy about them:
gosh i love their dynamic SO MUCH! Oda is exactly my type of character (passionate, determined, knowing that he can never be the best at what he’s passionate about due to factors he cannot control, trying to be kind and gracious but struggling with feelings of inferiority and jealousy, thinks of himself as a selfish person, a supporting character...) and Aoki’s devotion is really touching.
again: even when you feel like crap about yourself, there’s someone out there who thinks you’re the best thing that happened to them.
there’s also the fact that Oda thinks the world of Aoki as well (to the point of feeling inferior, which is like... c’mon Oda :/ you are better than you think you are!) he trusts Aoki a lot, despite knowing his willingness to engage in, uh, underhanded methods
• what makes me sad about them:
it’s their last year together, and they’d be approaching a new phase of their lives in different places... although Aoki offered to lower his rankings so they’d go to the same university, realistically they’ll go to different colleges, and most likely end up in different prefectures. (like, not only do i think it’s a Terrible Idea to give up your dream school so that you could stay with someone else, there is no way Oda would accept the offer without being crushed by guilt. something like that would actually ruin their relationship, which i think Aoki knows as well.)
there’s also a lot left unsaid between them at this point and i just want them to lay everything out between them and move forward together
• things done in art/fic that annoys me:
the fact that there’s NONE >:[ what does a gal have to do to get some content for them???????
• things I look for in art/fic:
at this point anything is fine.... it’s a desert out there and i’m dying
more specifically i’m Extremely Down for a get together fic; i personally only see them getting together after high school, at least several months (or even longer) studying in different prefectures and no longer able to see each other every day. (i mean... absence makes the heart grow fonder right?)
i’d also love to see Oda using Aoki’s first name, considering Aoki calls him “Shin” and all. Oda managing to surprise/fluster Aoki would be nice too.
EDIT: they’re both in the Kansai region (2.43 next 4years prologue). Oda’s revealed to be studying in Osaka, and assuming Aoki got into KyoDai, they should be around 2 hours away from each other by train? so visiting each other over short breaks would be cute! also, apparently Oda took a gap year before going to Osaka (2.43 next 4years Ch 1.2), so something set during that time would also be awesome :V
• who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:
hm... if i had to imagine people well-suited to them, i’d say Aoki’s type is people who are straightforwardly passionate about their interests (Oda hooked him with his unbridled love of volleyball way back in their first year of high school after all), and I think Oda probably needs someone who is willing to indulge him a little (like Chika he can be pretty dang determined about what he wants, though without the single-minded intensity at the expense of everything else)
... this is just a roundabout way of saying i think they’re ideal for each other, especially if they resolve the problem of hiding things from the other
• my happily ever after for them:
they get careers/hobbies they enjoy, and get a place together as boyfriends/husbands. no i will not hear any criticism of this idea
i can see Aoki working in the private sector (this guy is fine with ‘joking’ about blackmail after all!) after getting his law degree. this is super self-indulgent, but given his penchant of rooting for passionate but objectively disadvantaged entities, i think it’d be pretty awesome if he works for a smaller company that truly believes in their work, instead of working at a big firm pulling in big bucks.
while I’m not sure what Oda is canonically studying, I can see him going into sports education or sports therapy—i think he’d be really good at nurturing the talents of other athletes, and he’s good at rallying the team (Aoki pretty much says he’s the heart of the team in the epilogue of the first book, though Aoki’s kiiinda biased lol). i think it’d be really cute if Oda coaches a grade school team!
neither plays volleyball competitively after high school, but sometimes they watch matches for fun (esp if their ex-teammates are playing). Oda also makes Aoki come to his students’ matches if he doesn’t have work
EDIT: apparently Oda continues competing as a wing spiker in college, playing in Kaisai’s 2nd Collegiate Division (2.43 next 4years Ch 1.2)—Aoki probably watches his matches, even when he’s busy (and Oda probably chides him for neglecting his work, but they both know Aoki can manage his workload).
• what is their favorite non-sexual activity?
hm... idk, i think they’re the kind of couple who are cool with just chilling with each other doing their own work. like, Oda planning strategies for the kids he’s coaching while Aoki reads next to him, occasionally glancing over to make comments, stuff like that
also since Oda says they mostly talked about volleyball during high school, I can kinda see them finding something new they both enjoy after they get together? Maybe shounen manga, for something fun

Ok, loved the goat adoption prompt. It was precious. But did I read right? You were thinking of a serial killer au? With Eskel? Is he the killer? or a would be victim? Please explain!!!
Nonnie, I am so glad you asked! While you’re not the only one who has perked up at the idea of a serial killer au, you have specified Eskel. My original idea did revolve around him, Lambert and Cahir but there’s also a side piece that is Jaskier/Geralt which will end up as a reply to another ask. But that’s beside the point. You asked for serial killer au Eskel, you are getting him. Enjoy!
Under the cut for the obvious reason. CW for blood, murder, serial killers and general darkness.
Love was never something Eskel thought he would once find in his life. Let alone twice. Something had always been amiss in him, a dark, empty hole in the very fabric of his being which set him aside from his peers. It was the reason he ended up in a foster home like no other. Vesemir had shown him the best ways to make that hole work for him, how to be tidy and careful. The change wasn’t an overnight one but Vesemir had a reputation in the foster system as the one to take the difficult cases too. After all, he had been one such case himself.
It was in the home that Eskel had first found budding love. Lambert arrived a few years after he had settled with Vesemir, befriended Geralt and was actually getting on quite well with life. They all had their work cut out with Lambert who had so clearly been broken both physically and emotionally by his own family. But, with care and time, they built him up into someone Vesemir was proud to call his son.
In fact, Vesemir was proud of all his boys. Taught them how to fit into society and how to channel their rage or snarling frustrations. Eskel still remembered his first kill. Vesemir had coached him through it, from the selecting of a target to tracking them for habits and executing the plan. It was a thrill, knowing that even though they were doing something wrong, they were still helping society because their targets were always the kind that wouldn’t be missed by their victims.
Really, Eskel liked to plot, liked to hunt. The killing did bring a certain pleasure but he found something he liked so much more. And that was to watch Lambert take down those who Eskel so carefully brought to him. In a way it was like a wolf, bringing his prey for a mate, proudly showing off his prowess but letting the mate make the final blow. Lambert was beautiful as he took someone’s life. All the vengeance and anger, the revenge he had only been able to exact on his birth family once, it all poured out of him. Oddly, Eskel adored to clean up after him too. Usually, Lambert was fired up after a kill and ended up pinning Eskel to the nearest surface. Which was fine, Eskel didn’t mind it but he wouldn’t ever take the initiative himself. Bodies outside of his own didn’t hold much interest to him but he was fine if Lambert wanted to take what he needed. It was given with love anyway and Lambert was always a generous and attentive lover.
That was his first love. Eskel did’t expect to find more love to complete their lives. Actually, he had thought his life was already complete as it was. Thankfully, he was proven wrong. He had been tracking someone for Lambert, gathering information, making notes of habits, places frequently visited. They were almost ready when their hunt was interrupted. Eskel had seen many things in his life but this was true beauty. Their mark was brutally taken out by someone with two knives. There was so much blood, almost as if this unknown killer relished the spray as it caught him across the face and soaked into his clothes. Messy and uninhibited, it was glorious to watch. To top it off, rising from the puddle of blood, the killer looked Eskel in the eyes and his teeth flashed a bright white in all the red. It wasn’t a smile, it was a challenge.
Somehow, it became a game, this stranger stole some of their targets so Eskel tried to bag Lambert some of the other man’s in return. It all culminated in Lambert advancing on a target when the other man rose from the shadows. If Eskel had thought Lambert was beautiful and this other man was perfection, together, they ascended every hope and dream Eskel had ever harboured. It only got better when Lambert slammed the guy against a wall after their kill and kissed him, biting at his lips harshly. They fucked then and there, a tussle for power which Lambert refused to give easily. In the end, he had the guy pinned to the wall and thrusting harshly into him while his hair was being pulled. Eskel leaned against the opposite wall of the alley and stroked himself as they watched.
It went on like that for a few more kills. They worked together and then wrestled for power. The dynamic changed when Lambert submitted, allowed the other man to push his chest against the wall and work him open. Or rather, would have but Lambert had already come prepared and the plug the stranger pulled from him splashed into the blood on the floor.
“Good pup,” the stranger murmured just loud enough for Eskel to hear too. “Finally learning your place.”
Lambert bucked at that, ready to fight again but a nipping kiss to his neck stilled him. Watching them, Eskel sighed happily, he got what he needed and it seemed so did the other two.
“Cahir,” the stranger said with a final kiss before disappearing into the night. At least they had a name now.
It got even better when Cahir appeared at the booth they’d commandeered at a bar. He slipped in as if it was something he’d done a thousand times before. There were even three drinks balanced in his hands. After that, he never really left. Sometimes he’d disappear for a day or two but he returned, usually with some trinkets for them and always looking serene. True trust came between them when Cahir invited them along, giving them a new outlet in the form of cage fighting. Eskel loved to watch him move in the cage with such fluid, deadly grace. By contrast, Lambert was fast and brutal. Someone once told Eskel that watching him in the cage was like watching a whirlpool from afar. It looked slow but if someone got too close, they were quickly overpowered and pulled under.
Life wasn’t perfect but Eskel was hard pressed to say he held any grudges against his past. It got him where he was happy, tangled in a bed too small for three grown men but he wouldn’t have had it any other way. Not that they needed an excuse to pile in together for a cuddle, but there was something intimate about being so close, wanting to suffer the cramped conditions just to be near each other. If that wasn’t romance, Eskel didn’t know what was.

Couples Therapy
I got a lot of comments more like 3 or 4 on my breakup fic asking for a part 2 where Neil and Andrew patch things up and live happily ever after… This is not it. But you can read it as an alternative ending if you want. Or you can read it as a one shot, it’s up to you. 💁🏽‍♂️
I just thought: people are not always happy, and they don’t always talk, and relationships are not always perfect, so what if Andreil went to couples therapy? 😌
✨You can also read it on A03
✨Wanna read the rest of my stuff?
—-
Session 1
Sarah Barker was in her office and she could hear her 5 o’lock clients arguing outside her door.
“I don’t care what Betsy said, I will not talk to some stranger about our lives, Andrew.”
“You said you’d try. So get your ass in that office and try.”
“I can’t believe it. How can you be ok with this?”
“I… Just shut up and get inside.”
“Hi, I’m Sarah Barker” said the counselor and then, seeing Neil’s scowl, added “You must be Neil.”
“Whatever.” He said, taking a seat on the couch. Andrew wasn’t amused by this behavior, but it wasn’t unexpected.
“Hi, I’m Andrew”
“Hi Andrew, nice to meet you in person. Betsy has talked so much about you,” Andrew’s eyes narrowed instantly “Only good things, don’t worry. Anyway, what brought you here today?”
Andrew looked at his husband’s expression of fake boredom and began talking.
He told the counselor how they’d been fighting lately over the most stupid things like when Andrew forgot to take the clothes out of the washing machine or when he bought the wrong brand of cat food.
“And why do you think these things are ‘stupid’“ she said, adding air quotes with her fingers.
“Because who even cares about that? They’re such small things. He certainly never bothered about that before.”
And then they proceeded to perform a live show of a fight about said stupid things. Neil accused Andrew of being careless with his stuff, claiming he was tired of always having to pick up after him. This escalated quite quickly and soon Sarah was having to decide whether or not to believe in the stabbing threats she was hearing.
When the session was over, she took a deep breath and made a mental note to unfriend Betsy Dobson.
 Session 2
Sarah greeted her clients and asked how they were doing. All she got in return was a grunt from Andrew and  50 minutes of complete silence.
 Session 3
“This is useless. We are perfectly capable of dealing with our own shit.”
“If that’s true, then why did you sleep on the couch last night?”
“I told you I dozed off, it wasn’t intentional Andrew.”
Maybe this session will be more productive , Sarah thought. Only to be proven otherwise when her clients left early without speaking to each other.
 Session 4
“Hi gentleman, how are we feeling today?”
“Like shit” was Andrew’s response. Neil just shrugged and took his usual seat on the couch.
“How was your week? Did you managed to talk about-“
“It was fine. Everything’s just fine .”
“Neil…”
“No Andrew, I told you this was bullshit. If anything it’s just making things worse.”
“How so?” Sarah asked.
There was a moment of silence before Neil sighed tiredly and began telling the past week’s events. He and Andrew had gone to a function last Friday. The whole team was there and it was supposed to be this huge fancy thing to raise money to the LGBTQIA+ youth shelter and Neil was really looking forward to it. Socializing had become easier over the years and he was excited he could help a cause so close to is heart. But Andrew had ruined everything when he pulled a knife on one of the guests . The man had asked Neil for a picture “Big Exy star like this, my kids are going to freak out” the older man had said. Everything was ok until the stranger decided to hug Neil without clearing it with him first. After that everything was just a blur of knives being drawn and the security escorting them out.
“Andrew, what was going through your mind at that moment?” Sarah asked.
“I was just trying to protect you,” he said staring at the floor, unable to look at Neil. “When I saw that man touching you without consent I just…“
“I get it, but we’ve talked about this, Drew. Not everyone is… Fuck. Do you know how bad things are for coach right now? For us?”
“Oh your precious Exy. Shouldn’t mess that up, right?”
“Ok, let’s take a deep breath and think for a second. I’m sure you’re not here just so you can hurt each other further.” Sarah said, trying to keep things from going south.
“I’ll give you a task,” Neil’s scowl was so deep Sarah thought he’d hurt himself. “It’s pretty simple. I just want you to write down what’s bothering you about your relationship. Doesn’t matter how small  or insignificant you think it might be, just write. This should help organizing your thoughts and once the problem is ‘visible’, it’s easier to find strategies on how to deal with it.”
As Sarah walked them to the door, she said “It goes without saying, but please don’t read each other’s lists.”
 Session 5
Of course they read each other’s lists.
“He doesn’t say ‘I hate you as often’” Andrew read the list out loud. “What does this even mean?”
Neil threw his arms in the air, exasperated. “It means stay out of my business Andrew” he finally said, snatching the list from his husband.
Sarah had to admit she was curious about that one. “What does it mean Neil?”
Neil groaned and threw himself onto the couch. “We used to talk more, about all kinds of things. And you used to be funny and I’d pester you because I knew that when you told me you hated me, it only meant that you hated how much you loved me.” Neil spoke the last part like it left a bittersweet taste in his mouth.
“That’s why,” Andrew said quietly.
“Why what?”
“Why I don’t say it anymore,” He sat down to look his husband in the eyes. “I love you Neil, and I don’t hate any part of it.”
Aha, Sarah thought, it was worth it. Am I not the best?
But damn her and her stupid thoughts, because two minutes later they were at it again.
“Once after sex you said it was fine .”
“What’s wrong with that?”
“We all know what that means, Neil!”
Oh Boy, this was going to be a bumpy ride.
 Session 6
After the list fiasco, Sarah thought she’d have to take things slow if she wanted these men to talk about their issues without storming off.
The session started off ok, Neil was the first to talk and said nothing had happened that week. Suspecting the look on his face, Sarah asked “And how does it feel, having an uneventful week?”
“It’s fine.”
“You don’t look fine.” Andrew snorted at that, but didn’t say anything.
“Last week you said you guys used to talk more. What changed?” Sarah continued.
“I don’t know. At first we just fell into this comfortable silence. Being around each other was enough and then we became so busy with the team…”
“uhm. I see. Do you agree with that Andrew?”
The blond was in silence for a while, and when he spoke his voice was almost a whisper. “I thought I was losing you. To the team… Let me finish” he said when Neil made to speak. “All those people were so brand new, no ghosts, no dead mothers and you looked so happy just to be around them. I thought I was losing you, Neil.”
Sarah sat in silence waiting for the other man’s response, but he just ran a hand through his hair and breathed loudly.
 “Neil…” Sarah goaded.
“You are losing me Drew.” Andrew reacted with his whole body. It was almost like he had imploded, his heart in a million pieces. Sarah saw then how much he cared about his brooding husband.
“You are losing me… not because I have new friends, but because you refuse to move on,” Neil’s voice sounded strangled. “I know what you’ve been through, hell I was there for some of it, but I thought we could grow out of it. Together. Only you refused to let that happen.”
“I didn’t. It’s not just like that and you know it. You of all people-“
“Yes, me of all people. I know it’s hard. But I trust you Andrew. I trusted you with my life as soon as we met and I still trust you now. But I don’t feel like you trust me .”
“Don’t say stupid things.”
“Is it stupid though? Cause I don’t feel like you trust me enough to let me decide when I’m uncomfortable, or to tell me when you are not feeling safe. Instead you just lash out. That night… Yes that man didn’t ask if he could hug me and, yes, it was awkward, but I wasn’t scared .”
There was a silence before Neil continued to speak. “I need you to trust me Drew. I need you to know I can protect myself and that I’ll tell you when I can’t. But more than anything, I need you to understand that I love you. Scarred and glued together, just like you are.”
Sarah was not crying cause that would be unprofessional of her.
 Session 7
“Well, last session was very emotional. I believe you have talked about it throughout the week…” Sarah said expectantly.
The men sitting in front of her exchanged a guilty look.
“All right… Let’s talk about it now, then.” She rubbed her hands together preparing herself. “Andrew, what do you think about what Neil said, you not trusting him enough and all that?“
The surly blond man didn’t answer.
“Neil, have you ever expressed those feelings to Andrew before?” She tried again, but only got a shrug in response.
Baby steps, she thought. We’ll get there. Even if I have to kick them all the way there.
 Session 8
Sarah waited for her 5 o’clock appointment but they didn’t show.
 Session 9
She was starting to get worried.
 Session 10
“Hello Neil, Andrew. Nice to see you again.”
“Hey” they answered in unison. Huh
“So, how have you been?” Sarah said seating on a chair across from them. She couldn’t help but notice how close they sat to each other, their knees touching.
“Fi- Good,” Neil said, and then added “We talked about all the… stuff.”
“Oh I’m glad to hear that.” Sarah was irrationally scared that this was a prank. That they had teamed up to make fun of her one last time. “How are you feeling now? Andrew?“
The man looked at his hands and then up at his partner’s eyes. “I’m good.” Was that a smile on his lips?
They explained how they finally stopped avoiding the subject and just faced it head on. Neil had already said his piece during the session, but Andrew had a lot stuck on his throat. He trusted Neil with everything except with his own well-being. “Cause lets face it, you were never good at saying how you actually felt.”  He’d said.
“I tell you that I love you”
“But not that I’m hurting you, and that’s the thing. You need to tell me Neil. How am I supposed to trust you like that?”
That had gone on and on until they reached an agreement. Neil would always be honest about his feelings if Andrew let him deal with things by himself.
“That sounds like a good deal.”
Andrew’s huff was barely audible.
“What was that?” Sarah asked.
“As a part of our agreement, he’s not allowed to wear knives at social gatherings anymore.”
I don’t think anyone should be allowed that . Sarah thought as she smiled pleasantly.
 Session 11
“I have to admit, I was surprised when you called, Neil. Thought you’d want to be done with it.” Sarah said at the end of that session.
“Yeah, so did I,” he said as he scratched the back of his neck. “I just wanted to thank you… Guess it is good to have someone to help us see things clearer or whatever.”
“Well, I’m honored.” Sarah was quite pleased with herself. Two happy clients leaving her office holding hands, sharing secret smiles and soft kisses when they thought she wasn’t looking.
Maybe she should have given Betsy more credit…
Lots of words, I know…
But if you made it here, please let me know what you think.🥰
