Rising signs and their beauty - what is the most attractive about each sign? (part II)

In my previous post I wrote about the physical features of each rising sign, in this post I will focus more on the planets in the first house and how do they affect our beauty.

Sun in the 1st house

They have intense energy when you first meet them, they are even a bit intimidating. They seem extroverted, joyful and fun to be around. They have beautiful hair. They seem the most beautiful when they're in the centre of attention and when others are complimenting them (they blush and their serotonin levels go 📈📈). They also get in a really good mood when others hype them up and they will surely return the favor.

Moon in the 1st house

They have beautiful, warm eyes and they seem very understanding and emphatic. People feel safe around them. They have soft skin. They look younger then they really are. They have big eyelashes and can look very innocent and sweet. They are touchy and will give you random hugs.

Venus in the 1st house

Feminine, soft and delicate aura. They can have typical female features like bigger eyes, smaller lips, smaller noses and soft hair. They are gorgeous in general (although most of them are not aware of their beauty). They like fashion a lot and they follow trends. People often compliment their style.

They seem like someone who is down to party anytime. Also they're down to protest againt injustice whenever. They seem the most beautiful when they fight for other people's rights.

Pluto in the first house

Magnetic and deep eyes. They appear very mysterious and introverted. They like to observe other people. Others find their silence and introversion fascinating. They seem the most beautiful when they discuss deep and occult topics with others. They like to wear darker colors.

Neptune in the first house

They like to experiment with their looks a lot - they often change their hair color, they wear colored lenses, they change their clothing style a lot etc. People are drawn to them because they appear to be very creative and interesting to hang out with. What is beautiful about them is that they're not fearful of what others will say about their looks and they just listen to themselves when it comes to picking out outfits.

It was a quiet evening in the Valorant Protocol HQ for once, you were relaxing in the lounge after the day’s training. You had your laptop open on the table, scrolling idly through the VP’s weapon manufacturer’s website. You had your eye on some decal overlays, getting bored with your old matte black Vandal.

“Ah… You’re still up, chérie?” You hear the low tone and french accent coming from behind you.

“Chamber? Hi… yeah…” You spare him a glance before looking back at the screen.

Chamber was a fun type of insufferable. He was a hopeless flirt, confident and charming in a way that was somehow both ridiculous and endearing. He was hot enough to get away with it, you decided.

Wait. What was he wearing? You had to check again.

You couldn’t help but double take when you looked at the man who was starting up the coffee machine. He was wearing a black robe with intricate gold accents and… that was it. Was he naked under that? You could see a little bit of his chest… You blushed furiously, looking at your screen again to distract yourself, he wasn’t making a big deal out of it, so you shouldn’t either.

“Y-yeah… Uh, just window shopping a little, haha…” You offer him a shy smile forcing your gaze to stay on his face. “It’s a bit late for coffee, don’t you think?”

“Yes, yes… I just had a spark of inspiration before bed and I don’t think I can sleep until I finish designing it.” He poured water into the machine “I suppose we’re both losing sleep over guns, how fitting.” He pressed the start button and the machine started working, you smiled at him and looked at the storefront again.

“Wait a second… Is that? Oh my god.” You said in disbelief as you saw the gun decal on the screen. “The blub blub!”

“The what?” Chamber approached you, leaning over your shoulder, you’d be freaking out if you weren’t so distracted.

“The b- I mean the Neptune Vandal, the sea-themed decal, it was sold out but it’s back in stock!” Your eyes were shining in excitement and Chamber chuckled at your enthusiasm. But you checked the price and your face fell. “Fuck… that price is…” You bit your lip.

“I can buy for you, my treat” He said simply and you looked back at him in shock.

“Chamber! No, I can’t ask you to pay for that.” You blushed suddenly extremely aware of the closeness of his body. His barely clothed body, at that.

“You’re not asking, chérie, I’m offering.” He smirked at you. You looked at your beloved Blub Blub decal, you looked back at Chamber smiling. He could be really sweet when he wanted to, his display of kindness made nothing to quell the fast beating of your heart. You smiled and gave in.

“Thanks Chamber, I owe you one.”

Again with the flirting, you smiled, shaking your head. “You know one day you’ll say these things and I’ll take it seriously. I might even take you up on those suggestions.”

Chamber barely allowed you to close the door before pinning your body against it. His mouth was on yours, devouring you greedily. He tasted of expensive coffee, rich, strong and bold. You responded in kind, pulling him close, wrapping your arms around his neck. You couldn’t help but moan against his mouth as you felt his hands grope your breasts before slowly wandering down your body and grabbing your ass.

“So easy to rile up, have you been thinking of this? Have you thought of my hands on you like this?” He whispered in your ear and punctuated his question by pulling you closer.

“Undress for me, chérie” His eyes followed your movements as you made quick work of your clothes. Every layer you discarded further fueling the arousal inside you. As you pulled down your underwear, you felt your face heat up at the helplessness of your situation, completely naked while Chamber watched you.

You felt your face heat up at his request, but your arousal was stronger than your embarrassment, maybe it was even further fueled by it. Your knees gave in by themselves before your brain could even send the signal for them to do so. You should feel embarrassed about how ready you were to debase yourself for this man. Your palms made contact with the floor, you made your way on your hands and knees over the cold wood until you reached Chamber. Your eyes never left his, you would have looked away from shame, but Chamber’s gaze was mesmerizing, he looked at you like you were the most valuable item of his collection. Like you were prized, fragile but so very utterly his. You just couldn’t look away.

Once you reached him you looked up at him from between his legs, he reached to gently caress the top of your head.

“That’s a good girl…” The praise sent shivers down your spine, you couldn’t help but lean into his touch. You could see a volume in his boxers under his robe, you felt desperate and he had barely touched you at all. You couldn’t keep the impatience off your face as you looked at him, waiting for him to tell you what he wanted from you. You could see his amusement at your desperation, but it didn't stop him from teasing you further. “What’s wrong, chérie, do you want something from me?”

God, he was such a tease.

“Please…” You muttered and he raised an eyebrow. You bit your lip before asking for what you wanted. “Please… l-let me thank you for buying me that gift…”

They all then had a big convo about it and while everyone was a bit down that Elias never thought of telling anyone of them, they are happy that in the end she did do it. The boys might be brainstorming for possible names, though Elias doesn't really care all too much, went her whole live with that name and it's not too bad. Merrick just ends up calling her Eli or Ellie. Keegan, Kick and Neptune do their own brainstorm, though it's maybe a little more "trolly", more in a way, let's get the ones that don't work out of the way.

And tho Elias says they don't have to do anything like that, they all insist, because "you held yourself back too long, now you don't have to anymore, we just want you happy" and while she ain't sayinh it, they all know that everything they do, all little "ma'ams" instead of Sir, mum's instead of dad's, all that, make her super happy and even the boys realise this tiny glint in their parent's eyes that they never saw before, which in return makes them really happy too.

Hey torship.. do u think ppl binge reading on long ongoing fanfictions are bad? I was just finished bingeing a work and another reader commented before me like " oh wow icb i've just finished this (200k+series) in 2 days, what am i gonna binge read now?" And i was like, whoa so honest bro, would that hurt the feeling of the author or not? If it was said like that..

Hmmm, I've not really thought much on it, not enough to have a solid answer off the cuff. I'll try and muddle through it but, short answer? Don't we all 'binge' read?

Long answer is a bit more scrambled but stick with me.

I mean, you gotta join an ongoing fic at some point. If you mean specifically the type of binging where readers wait until updates pile up so they can read big chunks of the story in one go (I have readers who do this, you poor things will be on tenterhooks for decades at this point lol) or, maybe, they wait until the story is completed to start... That's a little different but it's not bad or wrong. I think it's more that, when you read that way, you're distancing yourself from the author's ongoing creativity.

Now, quick disclaimer, a fic is a fic and you can read it however you like, I binge stuff all the time. But fanfic is different from published OG work because the reader DOES have that opportunity to, kinda, participate in the creative process, to be there every step - or update - of the way.

I don't think there's a right or wrong answer to this question, it's about how you approach your reading as much as how you view your writing. To me, as an author with a majority of ongoing works AND breaks in my updating, comments like that are a bit... Sweet and sour. This person binged my fic, maybe even the whole series or all of my works, and now they're left adrift with all these cliffhangers and emotions and the track is hanging, suspended and unfinished, and it's hard to scale off the ride by yourself. I always feel feral when I come up for air after a binge like that, like one of those pics of deer in dark grasses and the eyes are all lit up by the torch. You devoured my work like an animal, all fingers and teeth? I'm delighted!

But the listlessness of an unfinished work binge can also, intentionally or not, sting. Like, yeah, I know that was a lot to leave you hanging with, ain't it rough? (But please don't beg me for more because then the pressure makes it worse) and oh you read all 50K in one day, so you must've been so gripped? (You only commented on the last chapter, you ate that five course meal with a ladle and you mashed all the dishes together and did you even notice the care and garnish?)

My slowly revealed banquet becomes a buffet, whether you're picking at it or gorging. It's a different experience altogether. That's not your fault and it's not mine. It just is.

Most people don't pace themselves when they start a new show, you watch everything you can get your grubby paws on before jumping over to AO3, so why does binge reading become a thing in fandom? Because, for most people, it's the slower process that really makes the experience so positive. I've never published a work that was rubber-stamped finished before the readers ever saw it, so I'll be honest that I'm talking out of my ass as per usual, but I don't think I'd want to just.... Post all the chapters together. I want the reactions, I want the anticipation, I want the readers to travel with me.

To come back to your actual example tho, Neptune, "what am I gonna binge read now?" Is a comment that I would largely overlook by itself. I mean, if that's it, nothing about enjoying the work or thanking the author or anything to soften it, then it's a bit of a micro. Up there with letting the door swing behind you instead of holding it for the person after. (No harm really meant, just in your own world)

If it's part of a comment that expresses that the reader might've shoved down those five courses without savouring the flavours but they just REALLY loved that food, then it's more than fine, it's a big compliment! You were so busy eating that you barely paused for breath! And binging isn't a prerequisite to not commenting or savouring! It's like a mukbang, they love the flavours but fucking hell can they pack down that food in one sitting.

If it's rude, entitled, then I wouldn't give it the time of day. Putting something out there does not mean you're entitled to getting something back, even a smile or thanks. That doesn't, however, mean that it's not poor manners. And, if someone comes into my house and wolfs down my five course banquet before huffing with impatience or immediately leaving for their next meal, that's only a reflection of them and not me. I put the meal out, I can't tell people how to eat it.

TLDR: everyone binges, it's not a bad thing. But your manners matter and we should all be mindful that you're enjoying something for free; if the author wanted that conversation between chapters, if the author thinks binging is a compliment, if the author doesn't care at ALL. It's not a crime to be "late" to an ongoing fic, it's not a crime to read how you want.

Personally? I binge a lot, I try to comment as much as I can, and I try to remember that fandom is about community. I hadn't thought too much on the topic before this, tbh, and I don't even know if this makes any sense but I tried to sound it out for you guys anyway.
