Trust
I walked around confused
Feeling your embrace but not feeling it
I didn't understand
There was a place where I wanted to be
Confused I carried on
Then one day you looked at me and it was a clear
My heart widened opened as my eyes
And I smiled
I knew where I belonged

Kaleidoscope
You are a kaleidoscope my child
A glimpse into the multitude of colours
That shine brightly like the stars
Every angle that it is twisted in
Forms a new magnificent presence
Celebrate your mistakes today
For they are not what they seem
They celebrate you, a masterpiece

Take flight
There was excitement and outrage in the air
The sun dance and the lakes swam teaming with life
Swerves of dolphins rode into the water
The sand, glistened with fire burning through each grain
The scorpions crouched down pulled away their deathly tails
Walking with fire in his eyes, leaving prints with each foot
‘Listen’ he said
He swerved into motion like fire through cracked ice
He was the galaxy, the hero, the unsung song swept into the night
He came into the world
After the burst of a thousand blood moons

Confidence
Misled by information
Departed from a demon's lips
There were different gossips
As she crossed the hall in the institution
As a boundary was crossed by the coworker
She confronted the person
But the demon did not plead guilty
Another surrender was from her part
As she was gaslit
She had encountered a narcissist
Jealous, cruel, insecure and upset
She was thankful it wasn't her
She wasn't the demon
She was the calm after the storm
The rainforest with tamed life
Never haunted, never diminished
Never afraid
This scared the insecure, the jealous and the crooked
They were impatient and wanted what she had
It turned out they were misled and she was informed

Drop
A certain tear fall down the cheek speaks so many words
More profoundly than we speak
Ancient rivers become deserts when this tear is born
It tells stories of massacres
And secrets of tombs and bedrooms, this tear
So be careful when you cause a tear to fall
As a hurricane is born after a storm

The new era
There would be golden bricks and chandeliers
People eating caviar
There would be shiny new pearls
The political stanza would never feel too much of a nuisance
What would the new era be?
Nobody knows
But can anyone hope for that moment when
The headlines disappear
No racism, stereotypes and bullying of all forms
Were lost from this universe
Or would it remain as alien as this make-believe new era could be?

A chance encounter
There was an image of a tainted window
Through which visitors came in
Without me knowing
I dreamt this
But did not know I was dreaming
I felt dizzy seeing their faces again
They waited and laughed
They did their work
I left the place
Came back and ushered them to stay
I wanted to ask them questions
Before they left
One of them
I knew him, he was the one I wished to see
He took my hand and drew himself closer to me
I asked him why he had hurt me
And that was the moment I woke up
There was an urgency of wanting to know why
I was living but I was dead
Feeling deja vu
Yearning to ask him that question in real life
The dream was gone and I never heard his reply
He was gone
Gone from my memory

The voyage
There was a sudden thunder and a gust of wind
There was a hurricane and a spill of a thousand rains as they burst through the windows
Candles blew out and the smoke blazed through the air
Such was the occurrence when I knew you had placed a dagger to my heart
Suddenly I was naive no more
And there was a hurt that could not be omitted
There was pain everywhere
This spoke volumes as I was accused and cast aside
Because of your lies
When I was mocked by many
I theorised that there were reservations
But you were never what you seemed
So I left the answer to God
And went my way
Untainted and ever enchanted as before
Welcomed life with new open arms
Closed the curtains ignoring the ghouls and demons in that once trepidatious voyage
We cannot let calamities darken our heart
We cannot let the soul lose it's unique flavour after entering a demon's den
Even if they are the harbinger of the feast

Your only hope
Your only hope is an opportunity
The single drive that fixates you
Nothing is ever missed
Nothing ever demolishes
When you see the world
As an endless ocean
Of stupendous one-in-a-lifetime chances
Of novelty
Of bravery
So your only hope is you
When you widen your eyes in amazement
And set forth to cease your opportunity
