Please don't call me that. I don't like to be reminded of the war...

If You Give A Bat A Burger by @noir-renard
I finally caught up with @noir-renard‘s super wonderful and awesome fanfic, and I decided to ride the high by doing some fanart of Danny’s infamous not-art ghost graffiti 😍 If you are a fan of great dialogue, mystery, and adorable little red duck candles, give their fanfic a read!
Alternate versions are below the cut! Fair warning, some of them use a lot of neon/vivid colors that may be sensitive to some viewers:

I would actually kind of like the “becomes a doctor and takes over Leslie’s clinic” story…for Damian.
NOT because I think it would be ~ethical~ or idk whatever-the-fuck.
I just really love the concept of Damian having this “I HAVE A BIG IMPORTANT DESTINY” backstory/lineage/bloodline …
…SON OF THE BAT, and all that jazz…
But when he connects with Gotham and the people in it—because Batman should be connected to the people he’s protecting—Damian realizes that he doesn’t actually WANT “his” destiny.
And it’s not about rejecting Batman or his father or his mother or anything like that, but instead about taking what he’s learned and what they’ve given him and shaping it to fit himself.

Completely in love with the way Sean Phillips draws batman in Batman: Gotham Noir.
He's a creature! He's mean! And he's friend shaped :)

Marinette Dupain-Cheng poem, please?
Hi guys did you miss me and my poems?
Thanks for bringing me out of retirement
My friend
I might do this again. Enjoy
a little birdie from Paris told me that marinete got a beau..
who is it? I think you already know…
it’s Damian Wayne.
and by god did that put chat noir in pain.
but heh… what if she wasn’t in love, but merely insane?
cause the way I call him shat noir I just know he be shitting in those pants… Poo, pee, butt, crap.. call him the avatar of toilets
I got off topic
but the way Marinette turned into the joker is jojo crazy bizare
as she drives around Gotham in her hot pink car
how come she’s got the miraculous
and the way her and Damian Wayne together is so randomness
and this is her dark and twisted theme song.
In the daytime I’m marinette
Just an evil girl with a twisted life 😈
but I have a secret..
another day..
I’m back in Gotham…
but when I look at him. I’m SUPER ROTTEN!
he SHOOTS ME!!
I HAVE A GLOCK
Lookin at him like .. it’s murder o’clock 😈
cause in marinatte and I’m not ladybug …
IM LADYBAD.
And I got hella bands
No one knows the depths of my pain. The world is unaware of its own banality. I hide my rage behind a mask of sanity. I got one thing to say…
Bruce wayne spreads so many stds in Gotham it’s insaanity…
And the writer of this poem wants hawkmoth to
Save me… you sexy ass dilf do you like DICK?
Thank you!

I wrote this at 1 AM on my phone the other night, don’t know what it is but y’all enjoy;
There’s the low hum of cars driving down the street, going through puddles and, sometimes, honking their horn. It’s muffled— some don’t even hear it after living in the city for so long.
The neon colors of signs and warm yellow street lamps and car lights reflect off the wet streets, creating a distorted reflection of the never quite asleep city.
The bats aren’t asleep, in any case. They are apart of the shadows of Gotham, straying away from the reflections in puddles and neon lights. They’re there, everyone knows it— they just are.
Then, sunrise. The city is up and it’s raining again. Not everyone is too displeased by it. It rains a lot in Gotham, especially this time of year. Almost like clock work, the morning rush starts at 7 AM. Crowds of people in uniforms are waiting on the train platform for a train that’s always two minutes late. On it, people are reading the latest news articles on their phones or the free newspaper they picked up from the stand. Others simply listen to music or the morning news. Either way, they’re all tired and rather be back in bed.
People at the bodega are complaining about the rain again like it hadn’t been expected. Some who forgot their umbrellas are running across cross walks trying to get to work as people already inside look out to the down pour and wish to be home. Bruce Wayne certainly is in his office high above—just like he was last night.
During the day the city is loud, a chaotic sign of bustling life that, to outsiders, seems to much. The city isn’t all gloom like they might suspect. There’s a rough kind of familiarity that people only from Gotham know. It’s the kind that have familiar strangers calling each other by nicknames since real names were never asked for, old men sitting in the park playing chess with a quiet young audience around, and the knowing that their home isn’t perfect but it’s home.
At the end of the day is when the city’s the loudest, and it’s raining even harder than before. People walk down the street with umbrellas clutched in their hands, talking to others about the damned rainy weather. People in cars are honking ceaselessly, some even daring to yell out the window to the car in front of them. Some stand in the doorways or awnings of shops and restaurants, talking about the traffic being worse than ever. The lights flicker on again as night speedily approaches, setting the city aglow like Christmas.
The set off for another quiet night is about, and the bats watch over their city.

BATMAN GARGOYLE OF GOTHAM NOIR EDITION no.1 • written • interior art • cover art • Rafael Grampa [Sept 2023]
EISNER AWARD-WINNING STORYTELLER RAFAEL GRAMPA'S TWISTED VISION OF THE DARK KNIGHT! When you chase your own shadow…it leads you into the abyss. In a Gotham City where every day feels darker and more irredeemable than the last, Batman makes a definitive choice--to kill off the Bruce Wayne identity for good and embrace the cowl full-time. But though he knows the streets of Gotham, Batman will soon come to find that he hardly knows himself. A serial killer is on the loose, and while the murder victims seem random at first, every clue draws Batman closer to the terrifying truth--that they are all connected, not just to each other…but to him… When an all-new rogues gallery of utterly depraved villains begins to emerge from the depths of the city, Batman will have to contend with the very nature of evil--including that which lurks inside in the darkest corners of his own heart--to face what's coming for his city. Batman: Gargoyle of Gotham brings Rafael Grampa's twisted vision of both the Dark Knight and the city of Gotham to life in a DC writing debut that will reach its icy black tendrils into the deepest and darkest corners of human nature and leave you gasping for breath--and for more! See Rafael Grampa's stunning artwork in vivid, uncolored black-and-white, fully lettered, in a limited Batman Noir edition with a unique cover!
