I caught you coughing on constellations again / caught you swallowing starlight / like you’d never sipped celestial seas before.

I caught you calling the clouds again / caught you singing to the savage saints / like you’d never babbled to Babylon before.

I caught you stalking the skulls again / caught you masked in the marrow / like you’d never owed an ossuary to the orbit before.

Listen, child; unfurl your fists, unclench your claws. When the jaws of the jailer judder, and shudder, and shake, unhinge like a snake - eons ease into the earthquake.

Listen, child; rest your ribcage from its rattling, bless your bones from their battling, pray your palms to pause their prattling.

Time takes no trade, ‘before’ takes no blade, future takes no fade.
