Ooh, we're talking about Rei? Alright, here we go!

The Todoroki family arc WAS one of the greater aspects of MHA. Keyword: was. It was great until Horikoshi decides to redeem Endeavor. The same man who practically bought his wife. The same man who neglected his three other children, Fuyumi was parentified, neglected Toya and Natso, Toya had constant breaks of his neglect, made a 5-year-old Shoto THROW UP from training so hard, physically and emotionally abused the shit out of his wife where she was on the verge of a mental breakdown everyday. Like, it's so disgusting, honestly. It's a slap in the fact to all of their trauma. Like Endeavor had YEARS to change, but randomly wants to change??? Like dude gave zero shits that Toya "DIED" via from his mental breakdown of his flames and carried on like nothing fucking happened. Also, I just wanna say people who also villainize Fuyumi can also get a big fuck you. Fuyumi just wanted a normal ass family and pushed all of her feelings in her traditional, sexist household. People react to trauma in different ways. Sure, Fuyumi doesn't always handle things the greatest, but the girl was made to look over her siblings at a young ass age. The problem with redeeming Endeavor is that, there's just somethings you can't say sorry for or fucking atone for. Buying your wife, neglecting all three of your kids, physically abusing your youngest son, physically and emotionally abusing your wife then locking her away from her children for 10 years is just not grounds to redeem someone. I thought MHA was good because Shoto saying fuck you to his dad and not forgiving was so refreshing but then paints Natsuo as the bad guy for not forgiving him, and having Shoto consider forgiving his father within one FUCKING YEAR after YEARS of abuse is just baffling to me. Ik Horikoshi is shit on writing women, but, I want to know what Rei is like outside of her dynamic of being a mom. I wanna know what her true personality is, because her abuse doesn't define her. I wanna also know more about Fuyumi because it's clear to me her parentification even carried over into adult, and even with her teaching elementary kids. Fuyumi also deserves to be pissed off at Endeavor. Shoto, Natsuo, and Dabi have shown them being PISSED at Endeavor, and they have EVERY right to. I just wanna see Fuyumi growing out of her parentification Endeavor clearly put her through.

I agree that the Todoroki past was a really good aspect of the MHA world before they redeemed Endeavor. It was a great aspect of world-building and it was refreshing seeing a character that wasn't begging for their abusive parent's love or acceptance. Then, 4/5 of his victims decided to rally around him and support him for the mess he created...

Why.

I'm actually really glad you brought up Fuyumi because I agree. She wasn't only neglected, she was parentified. And this wasn't something that happened when Touya died or Rei was committed, via the Touya flashback her parentification started at least around the time Natsu was born. She wants a normal family because it's the only way she knows how to cope with that childhood trauma (yes, parentification is traumatic). Yes, she doesn't go about it in a great way but we need to stop expecting victims to react perfectly. Nastu and Shoto made the choice to play nice to make her happy, she didn't force or demand them to.

Fuyumi, overall, deserves more agency. It would have been great for both her and Rei to be something outside of their trauma and supporting their abuser. They also deserve to be angry.

(I've noticed that Hori doesn't really make women in his story angry. I mean, Mirko sometimes but that's more her gag than anything. They all either cry or when they're being "strong" he just gives them this face 😐 (I'm not exaggerating: Rei, Momo, Inko, Uraraka, etc.) I mean, I don't expect a shonen mamgaka to know how to write feminine rage well, but MHA is just pathetic when it comes to this)

Hori got me fucked up for the way he treats Natsu. He's the only one able to see last the trauma/abuse (probably because he was the most removed from it) to be able to make healthy choices and create boundaries. Yet Hori over here wants to paint him in a negative light for calling out Endeavor repeatedly. It's the same thing with people who criticize Bakugou; they're made out to be in the wrong (Monoma, the pros, the journalists, etc.) even though what they're saying is completely valid.

I would also like to point out that Endeavor only changed once he got what he wanted. Not when his son died because of him. If he was going to really change, don't you think it should have been when his actions resulted in dire consequences?

God its been a while. So since the new leaks and season 6 had brought a lot of attention towards My Hero Academia and my past obsession with it is renewed i might as well write some headcanons. And what is better than the clasic relationship headcanons for the todoroki siblings.

Shoto

Relationship with Shoto is a weird experience.

You would have to be the one to propose and even when you do he still wont believe you.

He still sees that bastard of a father in him partially, so dont blame him for not believing you at first.

But after you guys have been together for a while, god help you both. I cannot say who would be more obsessed with the other.

Dinner dates, celebrations, small gifts every small and cheezy thing couples do, you guys do it twice as much.

He loves it when you play with his hair, or massage him. Any kind of gentle and loving physical contact to be honest, since he didn't got much before you.

If you pay attention to his scar, that would be a very intimate moment for him. Tho i cannot say he'd be that much of a sucker for that, he really appreciates the meaning behind the gesture.

Oh and expect to have to explain a lot of stuff to him. Like why some couples to something, but others don't.

He'd have some of a learning cerve when it comes to relationships.

Just dont get i the way of his dream, he'll be heartbroken if you do.

Natsuo

A hard case to write for sinc ewe dint have much information.

He doesn't seem like the guys to go for a hook up in university. So hed either be alone for a while or somehow have that uni dream of finding your dream partner during it.

So to be honest his family is a sensitive topic for him, so no meeting them for a long while.

When you do end up meeting them, hed go one by one, his mother probably first, then Shoto and Fuyumi. Hed keep you away from Endeavor as much as possible.

He does have a bit of anger issues, but he is well aware, so he might storm off once in a while. Then hed return with something as an apology, be it a flower, a chocolate just anything to make up for his outburst.

He's the sweetest though. He wont be as love sick as Shoto, but he would apreciate when you tell him how much you love him. He hasnt heard thay much so it means the word ro him when you do it.

But dont get me wrong he'd know when you lie, or ot isnt sincere.

Fuyumi

We don't kniw much about her except she loves her whole family no matter what shes been through because of them.

She'd look for someone who is just as willing to start a family with her.

She just seems like the person that knew early on that wanted a good and loving family.

She'd want someone with relatively thhe same values as her, so there is less of a chance to end up like her parents.

With her work she is pretty busy, and i guess her partner too. So the ocasional dinner/breakfasts date is so well appreciated.

She definitely makes bento boxes to her partner, every time she gets the chance.

If her partner is a woman her mother will be very supportive (not only for her too), but her father i doubt hell like it. I say that for her specifically because the boys dont care at all what their father will think.

Toya(Dabi)

Honestly good luck being with him, he's a manace. And ton take that as teasing king.

He loves teasing tho, but sometimes he says too much and might end up hurting you if you take stuff to heart.

His goal takes first place, thats a fact and no matter who you are to him it stays that way.

Doubt he can even love you, not in a normal way that is. Its closer to care than love. And to get to that point it would take a while.

But lets say you got lucky, and you get him for yourself. Dont bother being jealous, he has no eyes for anyone else in that way, youre probably his first romantic partner anyway.

I read somewhere that he and his paryner use each other with a lot of trust and a little emotion in the mix. And cannot say that this is anything but true.

He has anger issues, but unlike Natsu he doent show it untill its boiling in him. So unless you are someone that can take shouting well. You better get away as fast as you can. Hed cool down in a few minutes tho.

I think the best way to sgow him live it first is acts of service, show him that you care. Then comes physical touch, once he lets you touch him. For him touching is far more intimate than anything else.

Touch his scars and he will literaly melt in your hands. Unlike for Shoto, his scars are far bigger part of who he is as a person now and what hes been through as well. So i guess it would be like you see him now, but don't disregard his past at the same time.

I love your headcanons quite a bit!!! so I was curious if you would talk about your lucy headcanons!!! I think she is so lovely and I'd love to hear more of your take on her as a character <3

lucy is my sweet baby angel and i love her so much so of course i will ramble about her. these are more just misc little hcs rather than an analysis of her character, but these are just some details that i think give more depth to her than we will ever see in canon

lucy wanted to do ballet/dance/gymnastics soooo bad as a child but she was never allowed to in favour of learning piano

she was so begrudged about it that she would purposefully be terrible at it as her way of taking back some control and rebelling

sometimes she wishes she had paid more attention, especially whenever she sees any public pianos because she yearns to be able to sit down and play for herself, because she knew if she was any good as a child she would have been forced to use her talent for other people's enjoyment

she's not ambidextrous but she wishes she was so bad because she gets really bad hand cramps after writing for a while

this is exemplified by the fact that natsu and erza are both ambidextrous but their handwriting is equally terrible with both hands and it makes her so mad

she can only write in complete silence and if anyone (natsu and happy) interrupts that silence she will get so cranky

because she wasn't taught how to cook growing up she had a period of cooking to survive between leaving home and joining fairy tail

she would buy cookbooks, or when she was short on money, she would just look through them in the bookstores to get ideas for better meals because she was sick of eating terrible food

and she ate a lot of terrible food

she collects lots of spices and seasonings because early on in her cooking journey that was the cheapest way to mask the terrible taste of her food

eventually she learned how to use the spices to bring out/enhance the flavour of her cooking rather than just eating horribly salty food because that was a better alternative to whatever it tasted like before

she cannot handle spicy food and it makes her violently ill, but she has a lot of hot spices in her cupboard for when she cooks for natsu

she's got a terrible shopping habit and spends way too much money on clothes she either wears once, or never wears

same goes for books, she lets them pile up but keeps buying more even though she has a tbr list thats about a mile long

she'll read just about any genre, but romance is her favourite, and she doesn't like horror that much

she's tried reading psychological horror but it unsettles her so much that she can't stop thinking about it for days after and has to physically get rid of the book to stop thinking about it

she's really bad at talking about her feelings and will not do so unless she will physically burst if she doesn't

it stems from being a real people pleaser and also not having anyone to talk to about her feelings as a child

if she ever expressed any discontent or other negative emotion she would get in trouble for it, so she learned that it's just better to not say anything, and it takes her a while to unlearn that after joining fairy tail

Well, I've done some Grayke Headcanons before, and you can find those at [this post.] But lemme see if I can think up some more!

Canajane: Cana confesses first, but it takes a good long while because no one ever really knows what Cana is thinking. (does she date men as often as she says? does she like men? women? who knows? she seems pretty open to anything, but no one's ever SEEN her actually out on the dating scene all that much.) She finally confesses when she gets tired of hearing people spread rumors about Laxus and Mirajane, and is very happy when Mirajane admits she's not even attracted to men. (A fact Laxus already knew, but kept secret as it wasn't his to tell.)

Fraxus: Freed takes the lead a lot more often than one might think. It comes naturally to him after leading The Raijinshuu for so long and Laxus is happy being able to trust Freed enough to just let it happen. But their business is their business, so it doesn't get shared often.

Lisanna: Ever the chaotic asexual who likes to tease and join in on pranks, has turned down more offers for dates than she can count because she really doesn't want anything physical with people and they always have to make it about that why... (I may be projecting a little here, but shh.) May also be Aromantic, but the jury is still out on that. (Even Lisanna doesn't know. If anyone asks she's just gonna shrug.)

Eflman: Trans. What's manlier than a selfmade man. (as said by @phoenix-before-the-flame) He knew what he was since he was very young, and while it scared and confused him to bring it up at first, the way both sisters immediately called him by his chosen name and pronouns filled him with so much joy. (No wonder he immediately wanted to learn take over so Mirajane didn't have to be alone. He wanted to do for her what she'd done for him.) No one remembers who Elfman "used" to be anymore and he couldn't be happier. (and when Evergreen eventually found out, she stopped harping on him about his "be a man" speeches as much and would often say it to him instead, just to watch his face light up. But shh, don't tell anyone.) Natsu: DemiRomantic and DemiSexual. This gremlin is the Demi of all Demis. Romance? Don't think about it until he's already neck deep in feels for someone and by then it's just confusing and overwhelming so time to pretend that's not there. Sexuality? Can he eat that? (In a non sex way thank you very much.) Sure, the jokes and the fantasies come out the more he ends up liking someone, but he'd much rather a good ole brawl over the horizontal tango any day. (That and who dances horizontally? That's weird. What? What do you mean that's not what that means? Crap.)

Hisui and Yukino: They're shy babs who don't know what to do with their feelings or where to even begin expressing them. Especially since they don't see each other often, but Hisui certainly has felt things for Yukino since she first laid eyes on her and it sometimes leaves her feeling restless and annoyed that she's stuck in Crocus Castle all the time. (Being a Princess is full of too many duties to be running about on dates, after all.) Yukino is more oblivious and while she thinks Hisui is gorgeous and a wonderful leader, she doesn't understand why the Princess Blushes so much when they're around each other.

Stingue: He has moments of gay panic around Rogue more than one might think. He can't help it. The soft smiles Rogue gives just makes his heart stutter and he forgets how words work half the time. Please don't tell Rogue, the shadow slayer would NEVER let him live it down.

Frosch: No ship but.. they're enby. It's canon. No one can convince me otherwise.

I'm sure I can think up some more, but I don't wanna make this post too long. I may write more later. Thanks for asking, @newgeht !

HA, FUCK THAT SHIT, ANOTHER GUILD TJAT NEEDS THAT FAIRY TAIL POWER - Mashima, himself.

SaberTooth could have been a guild that willingly represented Strength, the members could have went to that guild to get stronger and then outside of the guild, they could go out, interact, like you can a guild that is mentally, physically, and emotionally abusing, report that shit to the Magic Council, LITERALLY THEY DEAL WITH MAGIC GUILDS AND SHIT, If they weren't used to make Fairy Tail the victims all the time, like when I say Mashima just makes the council annoyingly villainous, it's dumb.

Sting and Rogue (As much as he is my favorite) their existence is impossible and the rushed character development was ass. Sting was a cocky cunt who thought he and Rogue were superior to other dragon slayers, and were third gens or whatever, I hate keeping up with this shit because now their could be twenty gens dragon slayer magic because of Mashima using the fuck out of the element for no real reason, we know he's falling, he just won't admit it. Sting and Rogue got their asses beat by Natsu who was in stasis and did not learn enough??? And back to character develop, Sting who was once a cocky bitch became Natsu 3.0 after Romeo, Rogue was cool, his character made sense although I wish I saw him in a actual fight to know more about him and how he works aside from being a device that works as Stings counter half, and then y'all squabble for stupid reasons,

Minerva, I like you. What you did to Lucy pissed me off but like at the end of the day, showing mercy to her wasn't your plan anyways, you didn't know or care about Lucy or who she was to actually give a fuck about how you fought, love that you didn't falter during Fairy Tail trying to gang up on you. I'd suggest finding back up plans on how to deal with opponents that way you don't get fucked over by plot armor, LITERALLY PLOT ARMOR, Aka Nakagami armor which is seemingly invincible.

Although your trauma is reflecting through your battle techniques, which hurts but makes sense in the slightest, Minerva was acting like Jiemma towards Lucy who you can view as her (Minerva's) younger, defenseless self, and the brutality she faced when her father forcibly put her through training, and the result of the battle was how bad Minerva was.

I like your character, like how you have no connections to other characters within the plot route, your a built different bitch, love that. Your character design after the yeat time skip is the bane of my existence, fight me on my grave, your spin off character is okay, your relevance made me question if this was you sometimes but her maturity makes it seem like her, WHERES HER MAKEUP LIKE WE KNOW SHE'S PRETTY WITHOUT MAKEUP BUT HER MAKEUP IS JUST HER TRADEMARK, I also hc that Minerva was a closeted queer growing up,it makes sense because Jiemma always brought up him needing her to continue his bloodline and so while she was young, she thought she was straight but the more she went on her own jobs, she met women what happens next just feels like she's been on her gay girl cruise, avoiding her ugly ass dad, and not giving a shit about him.

Orga your an okay character, your a mix of Gajeel and Laxus, like you sing horribly as Gajeel which I headcanon my Gajeel to sing 10x better, and doesn't fuck with Jazz. You have lightning powers but your powers are shit.

God Slayer Magic, but you lose to Jura, which I understand because Jura has more experience than the whole cast, but you didn't have more of a fighting chance, moving on to Dragons, I'm surprised you didn't fade those mini hoes like...

Not to mention, your upper half and lower half just contrast, same thing with Jiemma, I have this imagine that Orga in another one of my AU's is a kid that got taught by the greek god Zeus, and Zeus just taught him his magic and how to go around fucking with women and Orga is just uncomfortable but he's like, "You do, you."

Makes me think that Shelia's greek god or roman god tries to keep Shelia away from Aphrodite💀 OH GOD THE CHAOS.

Rufus, your cool, your style is okay and I see what your going for, but your powers just strike me in a bad way because your powers give off oc or readers inserts in Fairy Tail stories from 2014-18, where they have magic abilities that make no fucking sense.

Dobengal your cool, sad you got your ass beat before we cared.

Sabertooth is screwed over so bad post-jiemma. Of course that there would be a change with Sting as the master but still!! They shouldn't have to turn into FT 2.0!! Let them keep their interest in being the strongest guild, competitiveness and even some of their discipline, they don't have to be designated as bad traits and then disposed off once the guild "turns good"!!

I actually kind of find it realistic that the council is fucking useless like most bureaucratic entities, wouldn't be surprised if there were a shitton of accusations made about how abusive jiemma is by ex-members and they just go ignored by the idiots at the council. Then again, considering Jiemma tried to kill a cat as he was throwing his loser tantrum and how he humiliated Yukino, I have a feeling he doesn't let people escape his guild easily.

Sting and Rogue would have benefitted from being introduced a little earlier (or again, if we'd had a breather arc between GMG and tartarus), or even having them cameo when they were kids. We're supposed to think that they used to be Natsu and Gajeel stans and yet we never see any little kids coming up to them for an autograph or anything. I do understand Mashima just needed them to be 7 dragon slayers for some reason, that's fine, just give them something to do, and stop with the dragon slayer generation bullshit "powerscaling", it kept going even into 100yq and it was so stupid, good thing i dropped that shit after 16 chapters or something.

Truly unfortunate that Sting didn't keep his personality after his "redemption" (calling it that even though he was never that much of a villain), he could've been so much by himself and you can still have him become a bit more cheerful without fully wanting to copy Natsu, just keep his arrogance and keep making him a bit of a prick, also don't push aside the fact that, like most others in sabertooth, he also has toxic ideas he needs to work on, he likes to be at the top no matter how just as much as Minerva or other sabertooth members.

Rogue is, like his element, just made to be Sting shadow, then a badly set up twist villain and again just a shadow. Very sad for him. Orga is meh, just another ultra buff guy in possibly insensitive costume with a magic that is never fucking explained. Like, if god slayer magic taught by gods why the fuck is the mythology never explained (bc mashima doesn't care) or if it's just made up by lacrima then what's the point of this magic even being considered special?? Honeslty your au sounds more interesting, FT characters interacting/being trained by greek gods is a concept that makes a bit more sense.

I love Rufus' character design cause he does look like the fruitiest bitch in sabertooth, though it does make me question if he's ever been disrespectful to him cause y'know he's into the toxic masculinity ideals, then again perhaps he doesn't mind since Rufus is supposed to be one of the strongest. Dobengal also looks like a character made just because the teams needed 5 members. Also you forgot Yukino, though it's understandable, she has her own kind of self-contained stuff going on and it's actually the one with less glaring issues going on besides the fact that she starts to also suffer from "nice female character" syndrome and her abuse is not properly managed, she forgives everyone way too easily.

This is where I'll derail into Minerva ranting:

Ok moment for a confession, I used to hate Minerva when I was reading the manga. A shocker i know, though it means she was fullfiling her role as villain perfectly, but here's the thing, Minerva is not constructed the way that other "redeemed" FT villains (actual villains, not just antagonists like Laxus in his first appearance) are, they are always shown to have a tragic past early or throughout the arc they appear in (at least up until that point), the only exception i can think of rn being Ultear, who has a larger arc across the series that for the most part does fit her character. The oddity about Minerva is that her tragic backstory is so rushed in its introduction and appears randomly during an arc that is already so full of stuff and reveals going on, so when I first read those manga chapters I was upset, because it was pretty obvious that Mashima suddenly decided he wanted Minerva to stay around and had to throw in a sad backstory since she's just such an unapologetic bitch.

But after years of mulling FT characters over in my mind, I realized something interesting, that the rushed backstory works to somehow make Minerva one of the most complex characters despite how a lot of it would be internal and she doesn't get to be explored beyond the few arcs she's in, cause despite the fact that she was terribly abused her actions cannot be justified by saying "oh, it's cause she was following her father/was scared of him" because she wasn't!! I mean she was still scared of her father probably, but as we never see jiemma abuse her during the GMG like he does to others, we can assume that she has learned how to stay in his good side, and the joy with which she hurts Lucy and Kagura and fights Erza tells us she likes being cruel, she does believe even a little the toxic shit that has been told to her over and over. She is how she is due to a traumatizing upbringing, but any of the awful things she does and has done were her choice, she still has to take responsibility. Yes, she's a victim but she's also an asshole, she can be both, she has the range.

And one simple apology wouldn't suffice. I know this series has too many fucking characters to give the spotlight to all of them but FUCK!! LET ME SEE MINERVA PUTTING IN THE EFFORT, STRUGGLING AND EARNING HER GUILD'S TRUST. LET ME SEE HER APOLOGIZE AND MAKE UP FOR WHAT I'M SURE WERE YEARS OF BULLYING PEOPLE WHO SHE DEEMED WEAK. Furthermore, I despise Mashima for suddenly showing her post-time skip and turning her into just another same-face nice subservient girl, as if her previous personality couldn't be compatible with her redemption. I haven't read the sabertooth spin off beyond one chapter and looking through other ones to find mangacaps, but I LOVE so much the way this artist draws her, he gets it, he doesn't give her bug eyes or particularly fucked up body proportions. Just *chefs kiss*.

And lesbian Minerva OOF I see you hc her as closeted and i raise you her not even knowing she was into women until she rid herself of her dad. When considering that she wouldn't get along with most people as is, she probably never had any female friendships (or friendships at all) that weren't stained by her need to be the best or by her disdain for "weak" people, so whenever she saw a woman she found attractive she must have thought it was any kind of admiration or, if she ever realized it was something else, she most certainly had some serious internalized lesbophobia and just tried to push her queerness down. Then Jiemma dies and with the guild's environment turning healthier everyone starts coming out cause I'm sure no one in sabertooth is straight, or cis, so when Minerva returns she can stop denying her love for women, also perhaps question her gender, i really like the idea of demi-girl Minerva.

basil: does your muse have a love - hate relationship with anyone or anything?

Oh my god he absolutely used to have a love-hate relationship with his best friend, Fuyu.

Fuyu was his childhood best friend from about age four to when they were both nineteen. They canonically did almost everything together since Aki always spent time at Fuyu's house instead of his own, so he didn't have to be alone. Unless he was reading. Following Natsu's death - the girl being Fuyu's biological younger sister - Maeno was admitted to the ZENO facility as a patient for a year, then was permitted to become a researcher. Fuyu did not know this and assumed both Aki and Natsu disappeared, and he didn't know where they went. He searched for them for I believe two years before he found out the truth of what happened. Then he started working alongside Maeno to get his "revenge" against him. It was very much a cat-dog, love-hate relationship. They fought often, and sometimes they grew into physical fights with Fuyu usually being the aggressor since Maeno desperately tried to cling to a relationship they didn't have anymore but...I'd absolutely say it was love-hate because neither of them had the capability to truly hate the other person. They've since mended their relationship but man. It was definitely a love-hate when they were coworkers.

Oh my god. This guy is so fucking stupid I wish I was kidding. I hope nobody thought he was smart just because he's canonically a great therapist and a genius medical prodigy.

My guy ignores every single red flag that pops up in ZENO. He's your very generic horror game protagonist who should have died because he's so oblivious to the red flags but SOMEHOW manages to survive. In most of the endings, anyways. I would honestly say that despite ZENO having thirteen unique endings - his "game over"s outweigh the number of endings. Just because he's stupid. It's only when his memories are erased that he's not trustful and he picks up on some red flags but Maeno as his true self? He's an idiot. He's not cautious at all. And even without his memories he literally ate a piece of molded pizza with questionable meat on it just because he was hungry and chose to ignore that very blatant red flag.

Hi! A prompt, if you don't mind. Since there's not many content with Todoroki siblings, maybe some family bonding with lee Shoto and lers Natsuo and Fuyumi. Like, Shoto finally feels comfortable and close to them enough for cuddles and affection, and they realise their baby brother is touch-starved (and unexpectedly ticklish)

Better Late than Never

"Hey. Can you guys tickle me?"

Fuyumi couldn't even blame Natsuo when he promptly started choking on the soda he'd been drinking in surprise. Of all the things that she would have expected her socially inept younger brother to say, it certainly wasn't that.

The three of them had been hanging out in the living room together, watching some animated movies that Shouto had borrowed from one of his classmates, Izuku Midoriya. That green haired kid that he'd fought during the UA Sports Festival.

Apparently, their youngest sibling had been doing some 'research' as he put it, on sibling bonding techniques, and had been interviewing a few of his classmates to figure out what they liked to do with their siblings. Tonight he'd suggested the three of them have a family movie night while their father was away on a business trip and he had some time off from school, an idea he'd gotten from his classmate, Hanta Sero.

Ecstatic that their little brother finally seemed ready to open up to them, they immediately agreed, and the three of them were currently cuddled up together in the impromptu blanket fort that Shouto had insisted was a must when it came to a proper family movie night because, 'Sero said so.'

And so it was.

Admittedly, things had been going pretty well up until now, when their stoic peppermint of a little brother had turned to them, family bonding list in hand, and had asked, in the most blank tone possible, if they could tickle him of all things.

"Shouto, um, if you don't mind me asking, what brought on that question?" Fuyumi asked after a moment, patting Natsuo's back firmly while he still struggled to catch his breath after almost drowning himself in Fanta. Shouto didn't even bat an eye at his older brother's near death experience, and instead kept his expression carefully emotionless. However, he was fiddling with the hem of his shirt slightly, as if he might be nervous.

"Oh. Well, Kirishima said he likes to bond with his younger siblings by tickling them. I'm the youngest, so I just thought maybe that's how it was supposed to go and that maybe we could do that too." He explained calmly, though there was a tad bit of barely noticeable apprehension there as well. "Is that… Wrong?" He asked hesitantly, tilting his head and taking on a rare expression of clear confusion as he started flipping through his notes again. Fuyumi couldn't decide whether the sight was adorable or flat out hilarious. Heck. Maybe it was a little of both.

"Oh! No! No of course it's not wrong! Just.. a little unexpected? I guess it's just surprising! Not bad though. It's good actually! Really good!" She answered hurriedly, not wanting to ruin this rare moment of trust Shouto was showing. He'd never really gotten the chance to bond with them properly when they were little, and his social skills definitely left something to be desired, so for him to be purposefully seeking out the opportunity to do normal siblings things with them? Especially things like physical displays of affection? Well, that was a pretty big deal.

He looked up at her and blinked, relaxing after a moment and setting his notes aside, seemingly satisfied with her hasty explanation.

"Oh." He said after a pause. "So.. You'll.. You'll do it then?" He asked quietly, and if she didn't know any better, it looked like he might even be blushing. Fuyumi couldn't help allowing herself a fond smile. When had her little brother gotten so adorable dang it?! There was definitely no way she could say no to that!

Rather than giving a verbal answer right away though, she instead let her expression morph into something a tad more mischievous and looked over at Natsuo, who had by some miracle managed to recover from his coughing fit. "Hey Natsu? Remember that thing Touya used to do to us when we were kids?" She asked with a smirk, suddenly scooping up their little brother from behind and pulling him into her lap when he wasn't looking, catching him off guard. She quickly wrapped her arms around his torso, trapping him effectively while simultaneously preventing him from being able to bring his arms all the way down, leaving him exposed.

Natsuo looked just as confused as Shouto did for a moment before realization suddenly seemed to hit him. Back when they were younger, sometimes Touya would scoop one of them up into his lap and trap them there, then he'd warningly tell them, "Don't laugh or flinch at all or else~" and wiggle his fingers just above their stomach, occasionally pretending to dip his hand down before bringing it back up again. This would go on until eventually they'd break and he'd finally start clawing into their sides or ribs or armpits. It was never the same spot, and so the inability to guess or prepare for it always made it so much worse. They loved it, and hopefully, so would Shouto now that he would actually have a chance to play.

He smiled slightly at the memory before crawling over to sit in front of his two siblings, the younger of them looking more than a little confused. "Um. What are you two doing? What did Touya used to do?" He asked, voice deceptively calm even as an anxious smile was starting to pull at his lips. Just because he'd never been allowed to participate didn't mean he hadn't seen his siblings playing this game before, and he had to admit, it was kind of exciting to finally be a part of it, even if he was a bit nervous.

"What do you mean 'what are we doing'? You wanted us to tickle you right? So what better time than now to teach our dear little Shouto about our favorite tickle game hm?" Fuyumi teased, making him squirm a bit in anticipation as he watched Natsuo slowly move his hands toward his stomach, which he sucked in instinctively.

"The rules are simple." Fuyumi began, "Don't laugh,"

"Or flinch at all-" Natsuo joined.

"Or else~" They finished together, and with that, the game had begun.

Shouto held up pretty good for about seven minutes. After all, due to both his extensive training on self control as a child and the countless tickle fights he'd already gotten into with his classmates back at the dorms, he'd managed to build up a fair amount of resistance, and he remained stubbornly quiet and still no matter how many times Natsuo tried to catch him off guard. That is until Fuyumi decided to cheat by pinching his side right at the exact moment Natsuo decided to bring his hand down again, and he arched his back in surprise right into his older brother's waiting fingers.

"GYAH- Ahahahahaha! No! Nohoho wait!! Fuyuhuhumi you cheheheheater!!!" He laughed, collapsing into his sister's chest as Natsuo started digging into his sides. "Cheater? Me? Are you hearing this Natsu? Shouto's accusing me of being a cheater! The nerve!" Fuyumi exclaimed, feigning outrage as she joined in by scribbling her fingers over his ribs and into his armpits, making him squeal adorably. By now, he'd been squirming around so much that his head had ended up cradled in her lap, giving her a perfect view of his joyful smile. The sight of her little brother, so happy and carefree in this moment, it almost brought her to tears, and she couldn't resist the urge to discretely snap a few quick pictures of the scene with her phone, both as a keepsake and to send to their mom later along with the others she'd gotten throughout the night.

"NONONONO!! NOT THEHEHERE! NOT THE FEET NATSUHUHU!! AHAHAHAHAHA!!!" Shouto honestly couldn't remember a time he'd felt this much joy. Tickle fights with his classmates were always fun, sure, but this? This level of closeness and affection being shared between him and his siblings right now? It was like having a hole filled that had been empty for far to long. He never wanted it to stop.

"What? Not here? Why not? Is someone a little sensitive riiight here~?"

"YEHEHEHES! I AHAHAM! PLEASE! PLEAHEASE STAHAHAHAP!!! I'M DONE FOR NOHOHOW!!""

Okay he didn't want it to stop, but maybe, um, maybe he did need to breathe though. His siblings seem to recognize this as well and quickly let up. He shot them both a grateful smile as he curled into a ball on his side, still giggling. This time, Natsuo was the one who couldn't resist the urge to record it.

"I.. I love you... Guys.." Shouto mumbled between giggles, and they both froze. Did- Did he really just?...

Shouto barely had time to process what was happening before he was literally being crushed in a bear hug between his two siblings, and despite his sudden inability to breathe again, he returned the embrace happily because maybe.. Maybe this is what he'd been missing all along.

Bakugou didn’t know where it came from.

One minute he was small and weak, wearing a new, girly hair pin everyday and complimenting one of the girls on their newly painted nails. The next thing he knew, he was just as batshit crazy as him during hero practice.

“Eat shit and die!” Bakugou flung across the air, sending a big blast over to (Y/n’s) location. (Y/n) sped away, dodging it with his quirk. He growled.

“Go to fucking hell!”

“Like hell I would, shit-for-brains! Suck my dick!” Bakugou landed on the ground, softening the impact with a blast pointed towards the floor. He stood there, a few good feet away from (Y/n). They were both breathing heavily, glaring down each other like they wanted to absolutely murder the other.

(Y/n) let out a piercing battle cry, before charging head first towards Bakugou and bringing his arms out to tackle him. Bakugou followed suite, charging towards him like a bull with his arm outstretched to deck him in the face.

They got closer and closer, Bakugou’s flashy explosions igniting in the air while (Y/n’s) quirk began to power up. Closer, closer, until-

“Times up!”

All might yelled over the intercom, and both students skidded awkwardly to a stop. Bakugou tumbled over with an angry shout, and (Y/n) sputtered, tripping over Bakugou’s torso making him fall to the ground as well.

“Get offa’ me, crossdresser!”

“I’m not a crossdresser, spiky bitch!”

“Your hero costume is literally a fucking skirt-!”

“Alright alright, young men! The battle is over, no need to keep fighting!” All Might awkwardly chuckled from the intercom. (Y/n) pouted, and swept himself off of Bakugou. Bakugou scoffed aswell, not even looking at (Y/n) as they both walked towards the observation building.

“Aaah! Katsuki! I’m sorry for yelling at you during hero training today!”

(Y/n) jogged up to Bakugou, gently clutching his backpack straps and slowing down to a walk. Bakugou huffed. There he went again, that totally insane side of him that came from absolutely nowhere was gone.

“Like I care, shit-for-brains.”

“A-anyways,” (Y/n) cleared his throat. “Do you wanna study at my house today? Or just...y’know, hangout?”

(Y/n) blushed as he ended his question. Bakugou stared down at him. If he told someone this was the same person yelling insults and profanities on the battlefield while fucking shit up, they’d think he was lying.

“(Y/n’s) house?” Bakugou mumbled to himself. “I don’t think I’ve ever been there before...”

“Sorry, did you say something? You’re not really the type to mumb-“

“I didn’t say shit, shittyass! Go die!” Bakugou yelled. (Y/n) chuckled.

“Yeah, yeah, I don’t think you’ve ever been to my house either.” (Y/n) sighed. Bakugou scoffed and shoved his hands further down his pockets. “You better make a good impression on my family, or they probably won’t let me hang out with you anymore.”

His family was probably just as fragile and dainty as him, was what Bakugou thought. He already saw the hugs and kisses and the “Hello, Mrs. and Mr. (L/n)” he’d have to choke out. He rolled his eyes.

“Whatever.”

“I’m home!”

A woman’s voice echoed through the house as (Y/n) and Bakugou both took off their shoes.

“Welcome back!”

“I brought my boyfriend over mom! Bakugou Katsuki-the one I was telling you about!”

He heard his mom gasp and timper into the entrance of the house, wearing an apron and holding a wooden spoon. Bakugou was right. Dainty, fragile mother; dainty, fragile (Y/n).

Bakugou cleared his throat, suppressing the gag that was about to come out.

“P-pardon the intrusion.”

“...Ehhhh? (Y/n), don’t tell me you brought one of your little dress-up friends over.” A different voice came from behind both (Y/n) and Bakugou. A young, male voice. Bakugou whipped his head around.

“Haaah?!”

“Ooooh! Feisty!”

The boy, who couldn’t be older than a middle schooler, cracked his knuckles. There was something so familiar about the way he talked.

“What’d you say to me, you extra?!”

“K-katsuki...” (Y/n) whisper-yelled, wrapping his arms around Bakugou in attempts to hold him back. The boy laughed in his face.

Just as the boy was about to say something, an older boy chopped him in the back of the neck, effectively subduing the smaller one.

“Shut up! (Y/n) said he was bringing his boyfriend over! Don’t scare him away like we do all of his other friends.”

Bakugou looked up at the older one. He looked about his age, but damn was he tall. And muscular too. The boy from before may have been at least athletic-looking, but this guy just...

“W-who the hell-?!”

“Now, now boys. Don’t need to get so physical.” A deeper, throaty voice came from down the hallway, it’s heavy footsteps growing louder and louder as it came closer. A tall, well built man came through the hall, crossing his arms. You could clearly see his muscles bulge through his office shirt. “Did you all come back from school? Welcome back.”

All three boys chorused out a string of hellos. Bakugou looked from who he assumed was the dad, then the two boys, than (Y/n).

There was no way in hell they were related.

“Are-“ Bakugou croaked. “Are you adopted or something?!”

“Katsuki!”

His mother laughed, covering her mouth with her free hand. (Y/n’s) mother was the only one who Bakugou would assume was, well, his mother. But these...men?

“You’re probably the only person who didn’t go running once they saw these boys in our house, Katsuki. A lot of (Y/n’s) little friends go running because Natsu teases them too much or Kaito and his father scares them off.”

“This one’s different, mom!” (Y/n) intertwined his hands with Bakugou’s. “Sometimes I yell and get all bwaaah during training-but he doesn’t mind!”

“Oh, well that’s good,” (Y/n’s) father ran a hand through his hair. “That explains why he hasn’t ran off the moment we walked in.”

Bakugou blinked. (Y/n) leaned in close. “Trust me, it happened before.”

(Y/n) timpered off to greet his brothers. Bakugou looked between all 3 boys. Despite how built and tall these testosterone-soaked males were, the way they talked and carried themselves gave off the same energy (Y/n) did during hero training. Was that where he got it? From these...men?

(Y/n) was forced into a headlock, his brother laughing scrubbing at his forehead as (Y/n) groaned. He thrashed around, albeit laughing, and tried to pry off his brothers hands.

“Come on-I thought you were training to be a hero! Where’s your muscles, huh?”

“I could easily throw you into the sun, don’t start. You’re just jealous I look better in skirt than you do.”

“Bullshit! I’m sexy as fuck!” His grip was temporarily loosened, giving (Y/n) the opportunity to slip out. “It’s not my fault none of your skirts fit me!”

“...But you know who it would fit?” (Y/n’s) other brother, the middle schooler, turned mischievously towards Bakugou.

“Hell no.”

“I’m going to fucking murder you.”

“Hey, now. That’s not very hero-like.”

“Yeah Katsuki! Not very heroic of you.”

“Murder is no good. You’ll get (Y/n)-nii’s dress dirty.”

Bakugou shook with anger as he stood in (Y/n’s) room. He sported a pink, frilly, strawberry-pink dress, that had small strawberries littered around it and stopped below his knees. His muscles peeked through the soft thin material of the dress, and the way he stood with his legs spread apart angrily was hidden under the layers of pink.

“Oh! Oh! Wait!” (Y/n) stepped into his closet with an excited smile. After a few seconds of rustling and shoving away hangers, (Y/n) popped back out with a matching dress on. His dress, however, had a baby blue tint with small blueberries scattered across the fabric.

(Y/n) did a little twirl. “Don’t I look pretty, Katsuki?”

Bakugou, crossed his arms, doing whatever it took to suppress the blush growing on his face. “Sure...whatever.”

(Y/n) happily stood next to Bakugou, smoothing out the crinkles in his blueberry dress and grabbing hold of Bakugou’s hand. “Tada~! We match~”

“You guys look like the strawberry and blueberry milk boxes I buy from vending machines at school.”

“Haah?!” (Y/n) gripped Bakugou’s hand harder. “What’d you say?!”

Bakugou stole a glance at (Y/n’s) angry face. Not gonna lie, he thought it was a bit attractive when he looked like he was gonna beat up his own brother in a frilly blue dress. He pursed his lips.

These guys taught (Y/n) well. If (Y/n) wasn’t as intense as he was during hero work, he didn’t think he’d ever fall in love with him, not the same way he is right now, at least. He felt sorta glad his family wasn’t a soft, fragile family of extras. Bakugou closed his eyes, and smirked.

“Yeah! The fuck’d you say to us, you lil punks?!”

Shigaraki and Dabi

Heroes hurt their own families in order to help complete strangers. Words said by Shigaraki, and lived by Dabi. If you haven’t noticed, there’s quite a lot of parallels between the two of them. Especially their childhood selves, dark haired hero hopefuls whose hair turned white due to stress and eventually fell and became villains. They were the children closest to the heroes, the son of Endeavor, the grandson of Nana Shimura, and yet both of them fell through the cracks the hardest. Let’s talk about the foiling of these two, under the cut.

1. Father Says No

Both Shigaraki and Dabi are characters who grew up in a strict, patriarchical household where the father was the head of the household and determined all the rules.

The Shimura household was built by Koutarou, who held all the money, and therefore determined all the rules. The same can be said for the Todoroki household, which only came into being to fuel Enji’s ambitions. This is something Enji literally thinks, his first priority when having children was not to love and raise them, but to raise heirs that would carry on his quirk and make up for the weakness in it.

Enji also literally used his financial wealth and status to pressure her family into arranging a marriage. In the households, the patriarch is the ultimate authority and cannot be questioned. Koutarou sets the rules of the household because he has all the money. Endeavor sets the rules of the household because these children are there to be his heirs. Toya and Tenko both break the rules in their father’s households in some way and become scapegoats.

Ironically, they break the rules in opposite ways. Tenko, because he wants to become a hero.

Toya, because his flawof the flames being too harsh for his flame constitution and burning his own skin makes him unable to become a hero and carry on his father’s legacy.

Quick tangent to explain what I mean with Toya. This is speculation, because we haven’t been shown the exact details, so feel free to point and laugh at me if I’m wrong. Endeavor says (incorrectly) that if Toya had reached his goal for him, that all of his pent up negative emotions would have disappeared just like that. (They wouldn’t.)

Which means, Endeavor once again projected himself on his child. Toya was supposed to fix all Endeavor’s hurt feelings for him. So, when Toya failed at the training. When Toya wasn’t good enough. When Toya was flawed.

Which means it’s likely, Toya went in Endeavor’s mind from being the one who could carry his dreams, to being the one that Endeavor could scapegoat to blame for his negative emotions. Which meant, at some point he tossed Toya aside. At that point he started treating Toya differently. Toya probably pushed himself more and more to try to go back to the way things used to be, which is probably why his hair turning white, he started to crawl to Natsu every day.

There’s also a lot of similiarities and differences between their households.

Enji wanted his children to be born heroes. Koutarou’s rule was no heroes allowed.

Shimura and Toya both had a sibling they would run to and confide in. For Shimura it was Hana, and for Toya it was Natsu.

Shimura Tenko is the youngest sibling in the household. While Touya Todoroki was the oldest.

On the surface, the Shimura household seems more comfortable than the Todoroki household. Shimura receives a lot of comfort from his other relatives, his grandparents, his mother, his sister. However, none of them really confronted the problem in the household and at the end of the day Tenko was still getting beaten.

The Todoroki household also doesn’t seem like it was a place of much comfort for Toya. It really does seem from flashbacks that all he had to confide in when things started going wrong was Natsu (again feel free to taunt me cruelly if I’m wrong).

So, you have Tenko who is quietly and gently denied by his family, and Toya who suffers all alone in his household, either getting beaten himself, pushing himself too hard in training, or hearing his father beat his mother and Shoto.

However for both of them, it’s a gradual accumulation over time. The stress of the household overtakes them. Their hair turns from its original dark coloring to white from the sheer stress of it alone. They, as children, are made to bear the stress of their entire unhealthy household, because they are the scapegoat.

Endeavor genuinely believes that if Toya had somehow lived up to his promise he would never have turned abusive.

Kotaro believes that it was Tenko who was upsetting the peace of the household, because he would just not stop it with the hero talk.

They both soak up all this stress until it explodes outward. However, the incidents that turned them from Tenko -> Shigaraki, and from Toya -> Dabi are entirely different.

Toya committed what was essentially a suicide. He either staged his own death, or failed at his own suicide and survived. Tenko didn’t kill himself, he killed everyone else around him. Shigaraki destroyed the household that was denying him.

To simplify the manner in which they lash out. Touya destroys himself, Tenko destroys other people, especially the ones he believes are oppressing him or his friends.

Well you say, Dabi is trying to take down endeavor. However, Dabi still sees Endeavor and himself as one in the same. His flames are Endeavor’s flames.

One last thing, Dabi and Shigaraki are both marked by their father’s abuse. Dabi was burned by Endeavor’s flames. Dabi literally lives with third degree burns, looking like a living zombie. Then makes his burns even worse by using his flames in the self destructive manner Endeavor taught him.

Not only does Shigaraki still carry the lip and eye scars from being beaten up with a gardening tool, but Kotaro’s hand reaching out to his face is a symbol that Shigaraki keeps on him literally to this day by wearing a hand over his face constantly.

2. Friendship and Ideals

So I think all the subtle differences in their backgrounds is what leads to them expressing themselves differently as adults. There are several similarities between them, but I think hardcore Shigaraki fans can tell you all the reasons they prefer Shigaraki, and hardcore Dabi fans can do the same with Dabi.

I think a lot of it has to do with their relationships to their families. Families define how you connect with other people.

Shigaraki was instructed to always keep his family close to him. He’s always confronting his own feelings about his family, his pain from his family, that’s why when he lashes out he also takes his own personal feelings and pushes them outwards. Shigaraki isn’t concerned with right or wrong, moreso, these are my feelings. I reject the society that rejects me. What Shigaraki is concerned first and foremost, is feelings. His own feelings of being rejected, and also the feelings of people who were rejected just like him.

Shigaraki is the heart of his group. He’s the person they all rally around, because they gave him a place of belonging. And, Shigaraki has also expressed several times murderous monster that he is that he cares about the individual feelings of those closest to him. I won’t let you trample on Twice’s feelings, his first thing to do when waking up is order the league to be close to him.

Unlike Dabi, we’ve also seen Shigaraki directly confront the feelings of his missing family once more. He forgives his sister, he tries to comfort his mom. He destroys his father again. He tells his family that he denies them. He tells his grandfather that he still hates her.

I would say that Shigaraki carries those feelings with him, while Dabi dissociates himself from his feelings.Shigaraki directly confronts those feelings because Shigaraki is the heart, feelings are what matter more to him.

Dabi has feelings, obviously. Dabi has feelings even if he processes them in a way that’s not easy and palatable. Everyone in fact has feelings (though sometimes I wish I didn’t). Everyone expresses things in their own way if not in the typical way.

Dabi is completely closed off in regards to his own feelings. He’s not like Shigaraki who is open enough about them he’ll tell his backstory to the whole league on the spot. In fact that’s another difference, the league generally knows Shigaraki’s issues, when they had no idea about Dabi’s.

When really there was no good reason not to tell them. What are they not going to be up for murdering the number one hero?

Friendship is a priority for Shigaraki. Individualism is a priority for Dabi.

Dabi’s feelings towards the league are a messed up jumble, but his behavior towards them is pretty consistent. He takes every oppurtunity he can to insist that he’s not a part of them, that they’re all crazy and he’s the only sane one, that he doesn’t care about their feelings. This can’t all be Dabi just being tsundere or whatever, it’s physical steps taken for Dabi to distance himself from others.

Dabi’s individual goals are more important than his connections to other people. Shigaraki has no distinct goal besides empty lashing out and therefore connects to people with similiar hurt feelings than his.

Remember, Dabi self destructs. It’s likely, Dabi sees himself as a martyr. An individual willing to burn himself to take down the society with him. He’s trying to die for some cause like stain.

So before I develop on this tangent one more difference in similarity between them. Shigaraki’s family is dead. He can’t really do anything but carry on their feelings with him. Tomarau means, to mourn.

Dabi on the other hand, his family is still alive.He could have before the whole killing spree just shown up on their front doorstep. The reason he hasn’t, is because he can’t forgive Endeavor’s sin.

Whatever pushed him this far, whether it be a strong sense of justice, or a desire for personal revenge. Dabi values that, more than he values his connections with other people, even his own family who is still alive. This is once again the complex way Dabi handles his feelings, it’s likely he pushes his family away, the same way he pushes the league away and doesn’t process them. That��s why he says I thought about it so much I went crazy. He just insists he doesn’t care, and doesn’t think instead. Shigaraki lives constantly confronting his own feelings, Dabi lives by avoiding them.

Dabi is impersonal, aloof, and only ever thinks of himself as an individual. He will cooperate with others if it suits his needs, but the bond of the league hasn’t quite reached him yet. There’s a consequence for this.

So twice dying was Hawks fault. Because Hawks you know, stabbed him.

However you could say, Dabi’s planning centering all around himself, and what he can accomplish as an individual, meant he failed to accomplish that Twice might get hurt as a result of him letting Hawks into the league as a Spy. It’s an unintended consequence, but still a consequence.

Dabi showed up to save Twice but couldn’t. Then afterwards Dabi uses Twice’s death in the most gratuiotious way possible. Dabi insists once again he doesn’t care, that he never cared about Twice except as a tool that would have made fighting the heroes a lot easier.

Shigaraki destroys everything around him. He destroys for the sake of the people around him. Dabi destroys himself, his own feelings, he self destructs. When people get caught up in his flames they’re sacrifices for his cause.

Their priorities and the way they lash out are different. Dabi cares more for ideals than people. Shigaraki cares more for people than ideals.

However, they don’t have to destroy each other. Shigaraki trusts Dabi. Shigaraki of all the members of the league (with Toga as well) is the heart, is the best at sympathizing with the pain of other people because he is constantly in pain himself.

Dabi made a mistake and as a result Twice got killed. He gambled with too high of circumstances. Twice let a secret slip and invited the heroes to the League’s compound. Twice brought Chisaki for a meeting and because of that Magne died. This kind of scenario has happened before. Of course Dabi insists that his motivations were less pure than Twice’s, he didn’t care what happened to the rest of the league as long as he got the dirt he wanted for his big reveal.

I’m not suggesting that Dabi is secretly a sweetheart, or a misunderstood angsting teddy bear. Just that Dabi is currently closed off from all of his feelings, that’s why he denies too the feelings of people around him and their attempts to reach out for him. Dabi has refused the compansionship of the league.

It doesn’t have to be like this. Characters can develop. Shigaraki especially has been shown to reach out to people multiple times. Kurogiri is fond of him. Himiko and Twice in their moment of weakness, are convinced to stay on Shigaraki’s side because he shows their face to them. Spinner basically questioned why he was even staying with the league at his lowest point when he thought they had no reason to be there, and it was Shigaraki who he found his cause in.

Dabi is lacking something. He’s burned off and emotionally stunted his ability to develop connections with other people.

Shigaraki is lacking something. He is, again and again, told that he needs a plan besides destroy everything. Shigaraki is very observant of the world, and understands the truth, but he can’t get people to listen. Unlike Dabi who planned to such an extent, that he literally made a live public broadcast to turn public opinion against Endeavor because that was more important than winning a fight.

It’s true Dabi and Shigaraki could turn against each other, because Dabi doesn’t value people, because Shigaraki considers his lashing out more important than his ideals. They could also be the ones to balance each other out. We’re at an important turning point now, Dabi can either break off from the league now that his individual mission is compelte, or he can finally be reached by the league.

I think Shigaraki might reach him, because even though they’re grown up so differently they started in the exact same place. They were both boys who wanted to be heroes, and just wanted one person to tell them it was okay, that they could be heroes too.

“hinata, hurry up!” you could hear his younger sister, natsu, holler at him even from outside the house.

he and you usually walk to school together on the days you don’t have morning tutoring. you’d met him a few months back in the principal's office, where he was voluntold to show you around since you were a new student - a role that’s very hard to outgrow - and he was so friendly all the time. you really liked that about him, his ability to get along with everyone.

“[y/n]’s waiting!” natsu’s shrilly but somehow raspy voice rang out again. soon after, the brightly-orange haired boy came scurrying out the door.

“hey… sorry i’m late-“ shouyou managed to get out through heaving breaths.

you giggled at his messily stuffed backpack and bedhead hair. “rough morning, i presume,” your sarcasm always finds its way out your mouth someway or another.

he scrunched his face and pulled a jokingly annoyed face, then quickly "fixed his hair", took your wrist and started skipping (yes, skipping.) down the sidewalk, leading you awkwardly behind him and giving you no choice but to skip alongside him if you didn’t want to trip.

these little moments of platonic affection and physical touch had always left you in a happy mood for hours afterward, and it took a lot of misfortunes to interrupt that daze.

shouyou looked over at you and smiled. god, that smile. it may be the love talking, but his grin seemed to release an energy that instantly brightened everything within a mile radius. seeing him happy always made you want to just enjoy life with him.

you felt the hand around your wrist start sliding down to your palm, then your fingers interlocking. his were so soft and long, you loved the way they complimented yours.

sometimes you and hinata walk in silence the whole way to school, not uttering a word to each other. as awkward as it may sound, you enjoy those days even more than the ones where you conversate. not to say you don't like speaking to him - he's got quite an... interesting personality - but there's something about quietly enjoying each other's company that makes you fall harder for him every time. (that, and you lack decent social skills, so it's a lot less mentally challenging.)

this was one of those days. enjoying the pinkish sunrise, the slowly awakening neighborhood, the beautiful boy by your side, it was all you could ask for.

eventually you both got to the front doors of your school, and parted ways since you had no classes together. if you're being honest, your 8 hours there is pretty much a blur until afterwards, when you reunite with shouyou to walk home together.

you waited outside for him to be dismissed, and after a few minutes you started to get a little nervous until you heard a familiar voice ringing out through all the chatter:

"[y/n]! over here!"

you're a little embarrased by how loud he called your name, but that quickly faded when you saw his glowing face and excitement to see you. (not like that... bye.)

you took his hand on instinct and started towards the sidewalk. "how's english class? still failing?" you teased about his terrible grade in that class.. "surprisingly, no," he replied, his amber eyes brightening even more. you're shocked at his reply, then punched him in the arm softly . "c'mon, no need to lie," you said in a mockingly interrogating tone. “big talk from someone with a 13 in art. what, can you not even draw stick figures?” he countered. you scoffed and laughed. “you did not just go there, hinata shouyou.”

you both argued back and forth for a while until you reached the small park that, over the years, you’ve realized is a pretty good hangout spot since it seldom has visitors. there’s an area away from the park’s trail, full of wildflowers and usually surprisingly rid of bugs. shouyou sat first, then gestured for you to follow.

there’s a few minutes of that comfortable silence you love. after a while, shouyou spoke. “you have tutoring tomorrow morning?” you nodded , then sighed. “yeah. for science. not art, which i looked into but turns out there’s not much you can do for a student who can’t even hold their pencil right,” you joked, which got a little laugh out of both of you. another moment passed where the only noises are from passing cars and the soft breeze.

“if it means we can walk together another day, i’ll tutor you on my own.”

the sentence caught you off guard, and you chuckled thinking it was sarcasm, but after you went quiet, you could see on his face how genuine he was. “wait, seriously?”

“yeah! i mean, science definitely isn’t my best subject, but i really love spending time with you every day, and to be honest, when i don’t, the rest of my day is really, really boring. so, y'know… if i help you after school, will you walk with me? every day?”

by the time the blushing boy stopped speaking, he had sent you into a flustered state of your own. did he really enjoy your company as much as you did his?

“[y/n]?” hinata whispers after you forget to respond.

“what- oh, yeah, yeah! i’d like that,” you pause to smile. “yeah, i’d love that.”

that beautiful grin of his shows again, and you almost melt.

you both take a second to watch the sun, going to rest after a rather long day. you turn subtly to see hinata. he looks so perfect. in that moment, he seems to shine even brighter than the sun.

“[y/n], i want you.” shouyou said suddenly, still squinting at the sky.

“…what?”

“i want you, i’m not sure exactly why but i feel so happy and comfortable around you like you wouldn’t judge me for anything, and i love the way you look when you laugh and study and stress out and walk and do things and those natural moments i catch you being beautiful, they make me realize- i guess, yeah, i really want you.”

he took a moment to let that sink in, for you or himself you’re unsure.

“can i… have you?”

your eyes went wide, and you had to recollect your thoughts before answering. first with a nod, then out loud. “of course. yeah, of course.”

he smiled once again, then turned back to the pleasant scenery. in an attempt to hide your ecstasy, you do the same.

you guys didn’t kiss or anything after that, and that’s okay.

because he’s yours. and you’re his. and that’s a better feeling than any kiss could’ve granted you.

- this is a very unexpected friendship to say the least

- this friendship is just a constant fight for your attention

- they’re so competitive and they always make you decide who wins

- one of the main competitions they have everyday is the one where they race to your classroom to see who can get there first

- or when you say you want something from the vending machine, they are both rushing out of their seats to see who get you your snack first

- despite how much they say they might hate each other, they’re always hanging out in school, at lunch and even outside of school

- of course, you’re always there with them or else they probably would have killed each other by now

- in terms of affection, hinata is always there if you need a hug, a pat on the back or any of that

- for kageyama, let’s just be glad he even looks at you and calls you his best friend

- kageyama is a little bit new to physical affection and that’s why he’s glad he has you and hinata

- hang outs normally is at kageyama’s house because natsu is too loud, kageyama is normally home alone and you and hinata just come over unannounced to annoy him

Cana’s not the very best when it comes to expressing her feelings. She’s never really been one to be so open. Same can be said with your relationship

Now don’t think that she doesn’t love you, she does. She’ll do anything for you, Cana just has a bit of a hard time expressing those feelings. She’s means well, she really does just doesn’t really know how to say it

With that being said, you’re the one that drags her to most of the dates and hang outs. The times when you don’t have to drag her is when you tell her there’s alcohol. Although she’s a bit shy and awkward, she loves the time she spends with you.

When y’all do go on dates, they’re simple ones, mostly lunch dates. With Cana drinking all night, you allows her to sleep in before dragging her onto the date.

Y’all are definitely a night owl couple, staying up all night then sleeping in all day. With that being said, y’all love to sleep with each other, wrapped in each other’s arm. It’s the ideal day, doing nothing but lazing around.

Although it sounds like a dream come true, hanging around at the guild drinking no stop alcohol and sleeping till noon, someones gotta pay for Cana’s alcohol consumption so the 2 of y’all pick up requests quite frequently. The jobs aren’t as big as the ones Natsu’s team or Erza, for example, would pick but they’re big enough to pay for Cana’a bill

The most common jobs y’all would take on would be simple day trips to go help someone to get rid of pest or find a lost book or something, sometimes it would be to hunt down a magical beast nest or a bandit camp. But nothing too big, just enough to pay for the bills

And finally the long waited topic: Believe it or not Cana’s probably not to much of a hands on lover. To start she’s not very affectionate in the first place, a lot of the people in the guild aren’t either besides tough love Cana’s never really had much experience with love so she’s a bit awkward and shy....when she’s not drinking....

You honestly love pushing her out of her comfort zone by giving her a kiss in front of the guild, or holding her hand while walking in, or sitting in her lap. Seeing her red face makes you so happy only bc you seem to be the only who makes her like that.

It’s takes her a while to open up again but once she does, you have her wrapped around your finger whether you or her know it. Although you can still find her blushing, she’s always by your side either hugging you or placing her hand somewhere one you. She loves to feel the physical contact with you.

Lucy Heartfilia

Jajshdjdh First every anime crush. Omg Lucy is like my biggest and first every comfort character. I love her so much. Her and Erza make me so gay 👏🏻😩

The girl is like your best friend and girlfriend all in one. Omg such a dream girl 🥺🥺

Y’all do everything together, make up, shopping, jobs, baths, skin care, sleeping. It doesn’t matter what it is y’all just do it together, it just doesn’t feel right without the other.

With Lucy, the 2 of y’all just have that connection. There’s nothing to explain it, the connection and chemistry yall shared is just something so special.

It’s not even a question, you definitely become part of team Natsu. It doesn’t matter if Natsu or Happy likes it, Lucy is not going anywhere without you. She will annoy the hell out of Natsu and Happy by whining until you come along.

But just because your technically an unofficial member according to the others, that doesn’t mean you are off the hook. All the teasing and annoying they do the Lucy, they do the exact same to you. One of the biggest things they will tease y’all about is being a couple.

Kissy nosies, embarrassing comments, specifically harassing you just to mess with Lucy. It’s annoying as hell, a definitely makes you and Lucy angry and upset sometimes, but you know they do it because they love y’all. Like Cana Natsu and Happy only really know tough love so it’s very new to have a such a loving couple follow them around.

Of course there are times where y’all have date nights and jobs only the 2 of y’all would take. When those come Natsu and Happy always complain but leave y’all alone. Mostly because they may or may not be threatened by Erza.

When it’s comes to those days, there’s tends to not be any plans. Y’all just do what y’all wanna. If y’all wanna go and get medi and pedis y’all will, or go shopping, or just laze around her house gossiping about the latest drama around the guild. It’s really doesn’t matter.

And back to the gossip you better be prepared because Lucy loves gossip and will tell you everything, whether it’s personal or not. You’re the only and only person Lucy can trust with anything and everything. Whether it’s her life, buying groceries, or picking out her favorite flower. The both of y’all know each like the back of y’all hand.

Now when I comes to the physical on the relationship, both of y’all are very comfortable around each other. Y’all do take baths together so of course y’all’d be. Y’all different don’t hold back when it comes to hugs or kisses. Y’all aren’t scared to do in front of others, it’s a natural thing when it comes to a relationship so it’s not embarrassing. At least to y’all.

Lucy would honestly just be that type of person you just connect with, there’s no secrets between y’all bc the bond and connection y’all share is just to strong

If you wanna date her you gotta date her family too. Sorry I don’t makes the rules here.

Ok but you don’t actually date her family but with how over protective they are with her, it’s definitely gonna feel like it. It’s one of those things where if you didn’t know her family or loved her with all your heart, Elfman and Mira would definitely scare you away.

The almost did too. You knew the family before you starting dating Lisanna so you were on good terms but once you started dating her, they became a lot more overwhelming. It took a while to get use to but the 2 siblings just wanted the best for her.

So after time, you got use to the family and started to feel like you were apart of the family. Elfman and Mira become overprotective of you like they are of Lisanna. It was a big change but it was nice, you were definitely feeling the love.

Now Lisanna is a very soft lover, yet a very bold one at the same time. When she’s wants something she’ll make sure to get it but at the same time she’s so gentle and nice about it’s hard to even know you giving it to her.

So there are a lot of times we’re Lisanna gets spoiled. Of course you don’t mind because it’s not like your going empty handed. In return Lisanna does the same to you: spoil you. It’s on and off spoiling when it comes to y’all

The guild jokes about it a lot too, they also jokes about y’all be too sweet together. With Lisanna’s unbelievable sweet personality and yours that follows close behind, the 2 of y’all make one of the sweetest couple. The guild will always say how gross y’all are but of course it’s only their way of showing their love

Like Lucy there are a lot of times where the 2 of y’all will go on dates. The dates anyways range too. Shopping, lazing around the house, hanging out at the guild. The only one thing y’all won’t do, is take jobs. Not only do y’all don’t want to but you have to keep in mind her biological family breathing down y’all’s neck. So y’all agreed it’s best to just hang out at the guild.

Again like Lucy, the 2 of y’all would trust each other so much and tell each other everything too. The connection between y’all is a very strong one. Because all y’all mostly do is still around the guild it’s very easy to pick up on the gossip that’s goes around.

Now like Cana, the physical attraction comes later on in the relationship. Lisanna is a bit on the shy side when it’s comes to touching so small hugs how y’all start off but soon enough Lisanna would be the ones catching your lips within a kiss. All she needs is just a little push.

and it’s a very normal gesture, but it puts denki on cloud nine every time

he’s not used to people being so touchy and clingy with him, it’s usually the opposite way around. he feels like he’s the one people try and protect

but with you, you give him a chance to be the protector and he values that sm bc he’d put everything on the line for you

it’s second nature to you, but kaminari feels like he can conquer the world with you at his side

Midoriya Izuku:

there’s something about the way you look at him when he speaks that makes his heart race

izuku grew up with a lot of...weird habits. he mumbles a lot, he’s always in his head, and he did a few other things that made people dismiss him growing up

bc of this, not many people paid attention to him when he spoke

so when you sit there, look him in his face, and give him your undivided attention, it makes this cute little broccoli so flustered bc???

you really wanna listen to what he says? you’re not like, bored of him?

it’s common decency you tell him, but deku didnt have a lot of that done to him growing up

he really grateful that you just listen to him despite all his quirks. he loves you so much more every day bc of it

Todoroki Natuso:

natsu loves how expressive your hands are

he’s never met anyone who could display emotion w your hands like you do. when you talk, you make gestures that he can’t help but laugh at

for instance, you’ll rant about something needing to stop and make an “X” with your hands

he’ll raise a brow and slowly imitate you as you keep talking and once you realize he’s lowkey making fun of you, you’ll get flustered and flick him off

but w that, he enjoys the way you use your hands when your words aren’t enough. like when he’s too far to speak to, but you make a heart and mouth “i love you”

his friends get on him about how corny it is, but he always does it right back

Iida Tenya:

iida loves when you drag your hands across any part of his body

he get’s stressed easily, so it’s very soothing when you silently rub your hands up and down his back until he can think straight

he especially loves the moments he lets himself relax under your hands as you run your fingers through his hair and massage his scalp

tenya can’t help but let his eye lids fall close and listen to the sound of your breathing

he never allows himself to have moments bc, to him, there’s something he should be doing

but you’re always there to remind him to breathe and relax, and he absolutely cherises you for being his peace

Aizawa Shouta:

you scrunch your nose all the time and shouta can’t help but think, “cute”

if something happens and you don’t like it, you’ll squeeze your face and shrink your nose

or if you can’t see someting, you narrow your eyes and your nose will naturally scrunch up along with it

shouta hasnt mentioned it much, but he’ll just look at you from the side and chuckle

you look like the cutest kitten to him

on the outside, he looks very nonchalant about it. but on the inside, he’s swearing to every deity in the sky that he’ll protect your adorable face w his life

they are most definitely open and OH MY GOD THIS IS SUCH AN AMAZING IDEA WHEN I GOT THIS I COULDN’T WAIT TO START. i’ve been watching a lot of vids on what physical therapists do too and i hope you like this it was so fun to write !!

Bokuto Koutarou:

he deadass got you mixed up with the sports psychologist

when he walked into your clinic he was all ‘ah, hey there’ before lying faceup on the cot and just talking about his problems

and at first you were alright cause good to make conversation and everything until you realized.... “this guy thinks i’m the therapist”

bokuto: people always assume that i’m really naive and i kinda am but--

you: bokuto,,,, i’m not the therapist

bokuto: oh 👁👄👁

you: does it, um, hurt anywhere?

bokuto: *points to his heart*

after directing him to therapist’’s office, you finally clear up his misconceptions on what you’re supposed to be

you did hear about bokuto but what you didn’t expect was that he was An Actual Ray of Sunshine

whenever he comes to your office for his weekly check-ups, he always brings some sort of present

he likes to bring a package of cookies and the two of you eat them while you have your session

bokuto still uses the term ‘ouchie’ and it’s adorable

he takes really good of himself and his body so he isn’t prone to serious injuries. as soon as he knows something feels off, he’ll stop himself from working and come to your clinic

except,,, he comes way too often

bokuto: I WAS FLEXING MY FINGER AND THEN IT SUDDENLY MADE A CRACK SOUND WILL IT FALL OFF???

you: you’ve... never popped your fingers before?

bokuto: you can POP your FINGERS???

in interviews, bokuto loves to mention all the people who helped him on his journey and ngl it’s a REALLY LONG LIST but he always, always mentions you as ‘the best physical therapist ever!!’

and it makes you so soft you love your job so much

he actually ends up recommending you to his friend, akaashi keiji, because bokuto knows his shoulders and back hurt

akaashi comes into your office and just goes: “can you crack my back and shake me like a glowstick?”

you: i think you’re looking for a chiropractor

akaashi: ...

you: okay, lie down. i’ll see what i can do

Hinata Shouyo:

he got LOST TRYING TO FIND YOUR CLINIC

like, you were checking your watch wondering where your client was before he burst into your clinic thirty minutes late

also for some reason he was really nervous to see you poor baby he had the misconception that you were there to find what was wrong with him and then after he wouldn’t be able to play again

so he was genuinely surprised after you just made him do a few stretches for him, recommended some ways to move his body to utilize it better, and just sent him off

hinata: just... just like that?

you: yeah, pretty much. unless you feel that something else is wrong

after that he’s not so afraid to visit your clinic. in fact, he enjoys it quite a lot!

hinata really takes note of the advice you gave him (he brings a notepad and everything) and he likes to call you up to let you know that they worked

he actually calls you A LOT, like you’re probably the person he texts and calls the most other than natsu

at one point he was calling you every single day asking about what to eat until you decided to make a whole-ass weekly meal plan for him to just cycle through

he’s actually quite flexible (not as much as sakusa though) and he’s so proud of being able to reach farther than his toes

when you’re not looking though he measures himself against the height chart on your wall and you think it’s absolutely adorable

hinata knows how to take care of his body and TRIES not to overwork himself but sometimes he gets really impatient about wanting to improve so he’ll stay late in the gym, practicing his spikes and serves

BUT since his teammates know hinata listens to you they’ll threaten to tell you when he’s overworking

sakusa: hinata, if you don’t leave the gym right this instant i am calling y/n

hinata: just five more minutes!!

sakusa: *pulls out his phones and presses some random numbers in*

hinata: OKAY OKAY I’M GOING

it’s kind of like the adult version of your parents calling the doctor when you don’t want to eat

also you have no idea that this happens

even though he’s moved on from it, hinata still gets a bit paranoid about playing a major game while being sick

you’re always at their games as part of their medic crew and before it starts, hinata always comes up to you and asks if you can take his temperature

you didn’t know why until atsumu explained everything so now you make sure to always have a temperature on you for hinata’s peace of mind

Atsumu Miya:

someone who actually knows what physical therapists actually do thank god

ngl you’re kinda shookt at how large he is in real life when he walks into your clinic

he also assumes right away that you want an autograph so he gifts you a signed picture of himself which you always have on your desk from now on because come on you are a fan

atsumu’s really nice to talk to, he does flirt quite a bit but he genuinely asks about how you are too or if your family is doing alright

such a sweet boy

atsumu’s the one who visits your office often but for reasons that are actually relevant to your job because this man just overexerts himself too much

and he keeps brushing it off and saying that he’s alright but you know better you’re a physical therapist for god’s sake

atsumu: i’m telling you. it’s just a sprain!

you: *pokes his ankle*

atsumu: aaaAAAAAAHHHH

he’s the one that you have to constantly keep tabs on and thanks to the help of his teammates and a spare key, you’re able to drop by his apartment once in a while

but no matter how much of a pain in the ass he is you still can’t help but want to take care of him. whenever you make yourself dinner you find yourself making seconds for atsumu

before you know it, you’re making dinner for your favorite MSBY boys because you don’t want them to feel left out

you also have to stop atsumu from overdoing on the protein shakes and drinking vitamins

because he’s addicted protein shakes especially the strawberry-flavored one but you’re the only one who knows that so shhhhhh

atsumu: if one vitamin capsule makes me healthy, does that mean drinking more will make me even more healthy ??

you: NO STOP. STOP WHATEVER YOU’RE DOING. RIGHT NOW.

one time you got a call in the middle of the night from atsumu saying that he ate an entire container of gummy vitamins and you had to run to his place in your pajamas

idk you just see him so much because he keeps getting injuries and it’s hilarious

atsumu, walking into your clinic: hey, doc! they sent me here cause my back hurts from carrying the entire team!

you: atsumu, you dislocated your shoulder

Sakusa Kiyoomi:

probably your most normal client among the four of them but that doesn’t mean you don’t enjoy his visits to the clinic

well, actually when he first visited your clinic, everyone else stalked him because they wanted to see his Flexible Wrists in action

you had to chase them out

sakusa is SO HAPPY that you just took one look at his Flexi-Wrists and noted it down without going batshit over it

you always spray the cots and your instruments with alcohol before he comes in and sakusa knows cause he smells it and he appreciates that so much

one thing that you do notice is that sakusa,,, frequently glances at the jar of lollipops you keep on your desk and give out to your kid patients

and after a session he just lingers for a bit before saying good bye and leaving so one day you just take a chance

you: would you,,, like a lollipop?

sakusa: .... yes please

he chooses a cherry flavored one and is about to leave when he sits back down on the chair

sakusa: they’ll never let me hear the end of it if they see me

so you let him stay in your clinic for a bit longer before deciding to also get a lollipop and that’s how the two of you end your sessions

no talking. just lollipop eating

(i know how it looks but pls don’t add sexual connotations i jus want sakusa to enjoy a fricking lollipop)

he actually likes to remember the scientific muscle names and everything just to impress you

also, he doesn’t want to give you a hard time but he also likes visiting your office and talking to you (and eating the lollipops) so he makes up all these excuses to come by your clinic

sakusa: i hit my toe on the table

you: okaay, do you need a bandaid?

sakusa: it was the small toe

sakusa’s quite selective about the people he’s with so he’s kind of attached to you now. like it or not, you’re his personal doctor

prepare to receive texts like ‘y/n, i have a cough. what should i drink?’

you: sakusa, i’m a PHYSICAL THERAPIST

you: also, ginger tea is supposed to be good for you

he’s actually your eyes and ears when it comes to monitoring the team. kind of like the kid who tattles to the teacher in pre-school

sakusa: y/n, atsumu’s overdoing it again

you: is that so?

atsumu, in the background: NOOOOO NOOO I’M NOT !! SAKUSA’S LYING

you have such a soft spot for sakusa. when he had to be confined at home for breaking his ankle, you sent him a whole jar of lollipops

he ate them all in one day
