Tony keeps in touch with Harley post IM3.
Tony hacks into Harley's school to see what his grades are and it not clocking that he could literally just ask about it.
Tony keeping up with the Keener’s via twice monthly phone calls that turn into weekly ones that turn into Tony and Mrs. Keener texting back and forth.
Tony invites the kid to visit during a school break where they both just tinker with things. Harley is nervous at first until they meet up again and they start snarking back and forth.
At least one minor fire or explosion happens. If asked, neither know what started it. (Tony was wiring a gauntlet and Harley jokingly called him Dad when Tony told him he had to do his homework.)
The Keener’s visit for a week in the summertime, Tony has bought the lake house earlier to have a place away from people. Mrs. Keener and Pepper get along pretty well and both the kids like Pepper, so Tony counts it as a win.
Tony offers to pay for Harley and his sister's education and Mrs. Keener took him up on it because there was no way she’d be able to afford to send both her kids to college unless one of them got a free ride and Tony shows he cares by spending money and making sure those he cares about are safe and comfortable.
Harley spends the summer before his freshman year of high school with Tony. Tony finds a used classic car and they spend the summer rebuilding it and upgrading the engine to run clean.
Tony finds Spider-Man and finds out he’s a year older than Harley. Tony panics because here’s another kid genius but this one's in way over his head and will stay in over his head regardless of if he has support or proper equipment. Tony decides that no one else is gonna help this kid and give him as much protection as he could if he built him a suit, so he does just that.
Tony finds out about Midtown through Peter and approaches Mrs. Keener with an opportunity for Harley. (It's a genius school and it's practically a feeder to MIT, it'll be great.) Harley moves into the tower that Tony has kept here because he has reason to stay in the city.
Tony is a lot better at dealing with a kid because he's been hanging out with Harley so long, so he invites Peter over to meet Harley and have lab time.
Harley just quips “so you’re my replacement?” to Peter and Peter immediately panicking and stuttering over himself while Harley howls with laughter.
Harley helps Peter learn to be more comfortable around Tony by roasting Tony for twenty straight minutes and after a month of lab days enlists Peter's help in making a program for FRIDAY to blast Barbie Girl when Tony has spent 24 hours or more in the lab.
Peter asks Harley to hang out with Ned outside of lab days. The three of them end up building a LEGO Deathstar and have drawn up the plans to be able to make it hover the next lab day.
Peter and Harley become thick as thieves and get to the point of that weird twin telepathy especially when it comes to being sassy.
One school break the three of them didn't go outside for the first four days, just spending most of the time in the lab so Pepper comes in and orders them to go outside for once my god Tony. Take them to your favorite burger place, I don't care, just be outside.
This leads to the three of them getting Pap'd. ("Yeah, I was out to lunch with my two interns, what's the matter with that?" is the quote above a picture of him laughing as the two boys pretend their straw wrappers are mustaches.)
This leads Tony to realize that he hadn't actually gotten the boys registered as his interns and remedies this immediately. (with backpay into a trust for each of them(Harley already gets an allowance, Tony has no idea how much is the proper amount to give to a 14 year old, and so usually gives him a few of whatever bills are in his wallet.))
Tony decides that now that they're officially employees of SI, that means they get to check out the place and so brings them down to R&D where everybody is immediately charmed by Peter and amused by Harley. The boys end up talking to the interns on the floor while Tony discusses the latest StarkPad.
One lab day both Harley and Peter look exhausted but Peter still showed up for lab time so they make their way there. Tony takes one look at them and asks FRIDAY to scan them, they both have fevers and he herds them into his living room.
Tony orders all the cold remedies he can think of to be brought up to the penthouse. Tony instructs the boys to pick a movie while he gathers blankets and dumps them on the boys.
Tony frantically texting Harley's mom and May asking them what he should do I've never taken care of a sick kid before, there are two of them, what do I do??
May asks Tony if Peter can stay the night because she's working a double that she can't get out of. He says yes if she can tell him what to do for sick kids because Harley's mom hasn't been able to respond.
Tony ends up joining the boys on the couch after forcing each of them to take cold medicine and thrusting a bowl of chicken noodle soup into each of their hands. Tony's in between the boys.
Over the course of WALL-E each boy begins to sag eventually trapping Tony on the couch. He's got one drooling in his shoulder and another drooling on his thigh. He asks FRIDAY to take several pictures before going back to his work on his StarkPad.
This starts Peter staying over whenever May is working night shifts. Then staying over every other weekend. Then Tony invites May and Peter to go on vacation to the lake house for a few days in the summer.
The Keener family is also present and May, Pepper and Mrs. Keener get on like a house on fire. Peter loves playing with Abbie with Harley. Three group chats are made that day. The adults in a co-parenting chat, the ladies in an exasperated with our geniuses chat and the kids in a sass and meme chat.
Just, Tony becomes a dad to two brilliant boys (and maybe one of the boy's baby sisters too depending how you want to write her).

Welcome to the Problematic MCU Ship Tournament!
This blog will pit 64 different pairings against one another. All of them are in some way “problematic”- some feature a minor and an adult, others feature incestuous pairings, others still simply have questionable or potentially abusive dynamics. Many ships combine elements of more than one.
Each day, 4 polls will be posted pitting two different ships together (for a total of 8 ships per day). You are free to vote in as many or as few of these polls as you’d like.
This blog is explicitly pro-ship and anti-censorship, and obviously features dark themes. If this is a point of discomfort for you, you are free to block this blog, I don’t bite. Hate towards anyone (and anything unreasonably rude about ships or characters) will not be published and users that send it will be blocked. A/N: It’s finally here, the end of Hamartia!! Thank you guys so much for sticking around and thank you for all of your comments!! It’s taken a long time to finish but I’m so glad you guys have liked the series and it’s been a lot of fun writing it. The trip to Amsterdam was one of the best times of your and Peter’s lives. For the first time since becoming Spider-Man, not a single villain showed up on this trip. Instead, him and you got to go to the museum in peace and he watched you become so enthralled with every single painting you witnessed and he fell that much more in love with you with every painting. You found love in the art while he found more love in you.
You went to Body Worlds, the NEMO museum, and took tours around the city. Something about the whole trip brought you closer together and neither of you wanted to leave and go back home. But, Peter promised he’d bring you back, when he won’t need Harley’s help. And you vowed to take him wherever he wanted next, as a thank you.
Now, it’s July and you’ve been back home for three months, going into a routine. Peter has been enjoying his job at the Daily Bugle and is thrilled to be back being Spider-Man. He’s back to saving people, and promising to take a break if he ever needs it again. You’ve actually been learning some of the ins and outs of Stark Industries. You’re still very intent that you won’t be taking it over, Harley can absolutely have the company, but you still wants to be a part of that and that means you have to learn at least something. So, you pack up almost every morning and go with Harley and Pepper. You’ve gotten back into coaching which started earlier in the month. Life feels good for the both of you and you’re ready to move on to something bigger and better.
You’re standing in your room, looking around in athletic shorts and one of Peter’s shirts. A soft and sad smile holds your lips. Memories were made in this room, so many memories. Late-night study sessions where all of your friends were still alive and happy. You remember all of the laughter, spilled snacks, the games of “Never Have I Ever” being played for more than actually studying. The walls, you’re sure, still hold your friends’ laughter like your memory. And you remember movie nights with just Harley and you throwing popcorn at him until he stopped quoting Interstellar for the millionth time. Your first night with Peter plays back like an old film.
The night he came to your window, all of the nights he’d come to your window through high school, bloody and bruised usually, apologizing profusely but asking if you'd help him so May or MJ didn’t worry. And you always helped, you started keeping a first aid kit in your room because of him. and you remember the time, the Star Wars movies after everything had happened, fixing the prosthetic leg, giving him his camera. Every memory floods black like a flooded dam.
The walls have heard and seen so many things and now that’s it. The walls hold those memories in like a padlock, sealing them away with no one there to make more memories, none of you and your friends anyway. It’s a bit bittersweet but you know, if you want to be closer to the memories, you can always come back. So, you bend down, and pick up the last cardboard box before turning around towards the door.
“Need any help?” Peter asks, voice as cheery as ever as he hangs upside down from your door, scaring you and getting a good yell out you.
“Damn it, Peter!” You yell, Peter laughing and nearly slipping while still upside down. “You scared the shit out of me!” Your heart is racing in your chest but you’re laughing with Peter. “Why are you on the ceiling?”
He gives you a cheeky grin. “Thought it’d be fun to scare you.”
“I think you’ve hung out with Clint one too many times.” You mutter with the shake of your head. “But yeah, if you wanna take the box.”
Peter chuckles but nods, lowering himself onto the floor and walking over to you, taking the box from you. “You sure about this?”
“Well, we’ve been living together for a year now anyway. Can’t be too much different, right?”
“Yeah, uh, that’s a good point.” Peter nods, smile decorating his face but he saw you standing there so he knows something’s up. “You, uh, you sure you’re okay?”
“Yeah,” You nod with a gentle smile. “Just weird, I guess. I lived with Cinder, ya know? But, I was usually here. I think I was here more than there.” You admit with a scoff. “There’s a lot of memories here.”
Peter nods with understanding. “We, uh, we’ll make more. Better ones.” His eyes are big and soft, gentle and pretty as ever.
“Yeah, we will.” You look to the ground and back to him. “Let’s go, spider-boy, I’m ready, I promise. Are you sure about this?”
“Absolutely.” Peter nods his head towards the door.
You head out first, leading the way out the door. You say your final goodbyes to who’s at the tower before getting into the U-Haul. It was a month after you got back from Amsterdam, you were up late one night, cuddling in bed with Peter tracing the scar on your shoulder and he asked if you wanted to get a place with him. He’d been saving almost every penny from his paycheck for an apartment but after what you’ve been through and already living together for a year, he didn’t want to be away from you even if it was just to sleep.
There was no hesitation in your voice when you agreed, not seconds after Peter finished the question. You were ready to leave, as sad as it is t leave the childhood home, you were ready. You aren’t moving far, you’re still in the city but now Peter will be within walking distance of the Daily Bugle and Happy still offered to pick you up if you wanted. You declined but appreciated the offer. But, this was it, you were officially moving out and into your own place to live your own lives for the first time and you both are so excited.
The apartment is rundown a little. But you have permission from the landlord to fix up a few things and paint, kind of really make it your place. And so, after getting a few things unpacked, you and Peter are sitting on a hand-me-down couch from the tower, takeout on a box in front of you while you look through places like Home Depot and Menards, looking at furniture and paint. And you’re laughing at each other’s ideas and suggestions, saying neither of you have taste, only for Peter to let you pick out whatever you want, besides the paint. He does not want red and blue walls as much as you think it would be funny.
“Please, think about--”
“I’m begging you, no.” Peter shakes his head, scrolling away and searching for green paint.
He will not have red and blue walls. Absolutely not, he will cave with almost everything else but not that. But, he likes green and Ned has a green wall. He always liked it so surely you will like it, right?
“GREEN?!” You yell, face contorted with disgust.
“What’s wrong with green?” Peter yells back. He glances between you and the phone, pointing at the screen with his free hand. "It's a good color!"
“Lots of things, like grass stains.” You state. "Those are terrible and like, asparagus."
Peter’s eyes are narrowed as he lets out a laugh. “Did grass stains scar you so bad, Y/n? I will give you the asparagus though. Gross.”
“Yes, actually. I ruined my favorite shorts once." Your voice is filled with sarcasm.
"Then why'd you start coaching?" Peter retorts.
"No, green, Pete." You laugh. “You wouldn’t let me help with first, last, or the security deposit. So, no green.”
With everything Peter went through and then drowning himself in bills, he wants to be able to do this. Not for you, but for himself. He wants to afford the apartment so when you offered to just pay for it, pay more so you could have a new apartment with all upgraded features and appliances, he said no. He didn’t want you to pay for any of it. So, you compromised, you picked an apartment you could afford if both of you made the same pay. What he doesn’t know is that you’ll still be buying all of the furniture, paint, and groceries.
“Yellow?” Peter offers with hopeful eyes.
“Ew.” You scrunch your nose.
"What's wrong with yellow?" Peter shakes his head in confusion.
"It's too bright!"
"You, uh, had a wall of windows in your bedroom your whole life?" Peter's head goes back as he laughs.
"Exactly! I need something that's not so blinding. Pick another."
“Off-white?” Peter lets out a sigh, going for something too simple hoping you’ll say no.
“Well, we’re doing white cabinets.” You point behind Peter towards the kitchen where there are old, dark wooden cabinets which you’ll be replacing.
“WHY WHITE CABINETS?!” Peter's eyes are wide and that cannot do. He's very messy sometimes, especially with food and the cabinets will just be dirty all the time. What is with people and white cabinets?
“They’re sleek!” Shiloh defends.
“So, is black!” Peter comes back, both of you still maintaining smiles during this whole thing, a bit surprised it’s the paint you can’t agree on.
“Too dark!”
Peter narrows his eyes again. You want something dark but not too dark and it just makes him laugh because there are a million colors. He knows you'll agree on something but it's funny to him how different your ideas are. It's something he hadn't thought of it but it's a lot of fun figuring it out with you. You'll be able to mold your home into something that really is this combination of the both of you, a comprise will work because it always does and it will be yours. He won't feel like a guest, and you won't feel like you have to keep the aesthetic of the tower. This is yours.
“Compromise?” Peter asks.
“I think you should just watch HGTV.” You offer with a grin.
“I’ll watch it if we don’t do white cabinets and red and blue walls.” Peter chuckles, pleading eyes. “Pease.”
You pause for a second, eyes narrowed at him but a smile dances across your face. “Alright, deal. 100 Day Dream Home, grey cabinets, white walls?” You offer with raised brows.
“Green accent wall?” Peter counters.
“Brick red accent wall?” You offer, gaining a not-so-pleased look from Peter. "I really just like the color and as an accent wall, it won't be too much. No blue, promise." You chuckle.
The corner of Peter’s mouth twitches. “Deal.”
You lean over, pulling Peter’s mouth to yours in a soft and gentle kiss. “Thank you.”
“For what?” Peter chuckles.
“Asking me to live with you, compromising, being you.”
Peter adjusts himself so he’s facing you before cupping your face in his hands. “I don’t wanna live with anyone else.”
You put your forehead to his. “I love you, ya know?”
“I love you, too.” Peter pulls you closer to him, your lips colliding against his, his mouth moving in sync with you as you smile and hum against him. “Wanna go to the bedroom?” His eyes dart from yours, behind you to your bedroom.
“Do you have to ask?” You grab his hand, pulling him with you, connecting your lips to his as Peter’s hands go to the hem of your shirt, pulling it off of you as you walk backwards towards the bedroom.
To find someone who loves you, truly, for who you are and who you can be is something indescribable. It's almost magical but what Peter and you have is so much more because you have seen everything horrible and grimy and dark that could possibly happen to someone and you have come out of it, together. You ended up on the other side with scars and bright flashlights, arm in and arm, leading the way to a better and brighter future. You don't love each other despite the bad, you love each other in spite of it all. Finding someone who chooses you, over everything, that is something to keep close. And for you and Peter, right here, right now, entangled in each other arms with the love only dreamt about, it’s a new beginning after the tragic downfall of a hero.

The First Mooey Interaction
They didn't know why they hadn't thought of it sooner. Maybe because Tony wasn't that much into the country life-the lake house was country enough for him-or maybe because Stephen was reminded of his not so great childhood. But the way Valerie was attached to that stuffed cow of hers…they knew they had to take her to see a real one. So they pushed their own minor discomfort aside and planned with the rest of the kids while keeping it a secret from Valerie to visit a farm.
She knew something was going on, but even William wouldn't tell her. When she was very obviously hurt about being left out, he assured her that it was a surprise and she wasn't being left out. She still clung to him and Stephen more than usual after that though so it was hard for them to discuss any possible details.
But they made it happen. Tony talked to Clint who had a neighbor that had farm animals and was more than happy to let them visit. So Stephen opened a gateway to Clint's farm for quick travel and they were greeted by the Barton family as well as Kate.
"I really need to remember to give you a call whenever I need to travel," Clint jokes after the gateway closes.
Stephen snorts. "Only for visits and emergencies. I'm not opening a gateway to Hawaii because you want to go on vacation."
"I'll take what I can get." Clint squats down to Valerie's height and smiles. "Hey kiddo, we've got a special surprise for you."
"Surprise?" She asks softly.
"It's a little bit of a walk but I promise it's worth it."
Valerie made a face at the mention of a long walk but it was obvious her curiosity won over.
"No, no Lulu! Stay–and there she goes," Tony suddenly says before Lucy starts running off with a happy screech. Ever the wild child. "Honey, I'm too old to be chasing two year olds."
"Better get your stretches in," Stephen responds with a smirk.
Laura laughs when Tony sighs heavily. "Need some help?"
"I got her!" Thomas exclaims before dashing off. Of course it took under a second for the teen to return with his sister, and she didn't look too happy about her exploration being so rudely interrupted.
"Wanna play!" She whines.
"You'll get to play in just a minute Lulu," Tony says as William picks up Valerie.
"I'll carry you for a little bit. How does that sound?" He asks Valerie.
"Okay Liam."
"Alright, let's get going so the kids actually have time," Clint announces. "Lead the way Barton spawn!"
"Dad…" Lila sighs and rolls her eyes before linking her arm with Diana's.
"Daddy does it too. He calls us a brood." Diana says as the large group starts their way across the fields to cut across to the neighbor's property.
It was at least a mile hike to leave Clint's property and when they got to the trees, there was a demand to take a brief respite at the small creek. Tony and Stephen wholeheartedly agreed since the water babbled so nicely, and the kids were more than happy to splash around in it once Laura reassured them it was safe. Peter and Harley played with the Barton kids and Diana while the twins kept the younger two girls entertained. Lucy took every chance she could to run up, down, across–at some point Tony swore she did a flip but it could have been a very enthusiastic belly flop–and she never seemed to run out of energy.
He thanked whatever god that was listening that Thomas had the ability to keep up with her because he sure as hell didn't. At least Valerie was content to squat near the water and let the water run through her fingers. She even had a frog approach her and inspect her curiously for a couple of minutes before it hopped away.
Tony didn't even bother looking over when one of the older boys yelled before there was a loud splash. Nobody else was alarmed and there was laughing so he simply enjoyed the shade with Stephen. He had to admit that the creek had its own charm compared to the lake and maybe he could put one in on the lake property for the animals. At the very least. Sometimes Athena and Flynn didn't like swimming as much as Emir did and even the kids were rambunctious in the water.
"You're putting a creek in at the lake house aren't you?" Stephen asks, interrupting Tony's thoughts.
"What makes you say that?"
"You have that planning face. Last time you had that look, Lucy had her own bounce house made out of Peter's webs."
"It was fun!" Thomas says. "Dunno how we didn't stick but it's a quick trampoline without permanently taking up space."
Stephen rubs his eyes. "I'm still waiting to take Lucy in for an emergency visit to Christine."
"Nah, she'll just give you guys premature heart attacks," Harley yells from a few feet away before tripping Peter and making him fall into the creek.
Stephen simply grunted in agreement as the kids continued to play, but eventually Valerie's curiosity won over again and she asked about her surprise soon enough. So the kids wrung out their clothes as best as they could before they continued on. It took another ten minutes to close in on the farm and that's when William picked up Valerie again and Clint asked her to close her eyes. She did so without question and they all quietly entered the barn the neighbor ushered them into (he had been told about the plan and was more than happy to surprise the little girl), and by some miracle, the cows didn't make a single sound except for munching on their hay.
After William carefully set Valerie down, Stephen crouched next to her and said, "alright, you can open your eyes now."
Valerie slowly pulled her hands away from her eyes and all the adults watched in amusement as the curiosity shifted to surprise and then straight to glee as she gasped loudly…
Then screeched happily as she ran up to the closest cow.
It mooed in response and nudged her hands as she pet its nose and as everyone was still recovering from her uncharacteristic outburst. The only one that didn't seem bothered was the neighbor since he simply chuckled at her enthusiasm, but he didn't know Valerie like they did.
"I think it's safe to say that she's happy," Peter says after wincing from his little sister's outburst.
Stephen, on the other hand, was uselessly trying to free his ear of the screech that had been right next to his eardrum. "I didn't even know she could make that noise."
"I'm tempted to buy a cow now," Tony says as he watches Valerie interact with the cow.
"I love her too but no," Stephen sighs. "We'll need to hire a zookeeper at this rate and–" he inhales deeply. "No."
Tony chuckles. "I'll talk to Legolas and his neighbor about visitation rights."
Stephen nods, accepting Tony's kiss, and then joins the kids who had approached the cow to give it their own attention. It mooed happily every once in a while, especially when Valerie started to gently massage its nose and she giggled in response every time. Stephen didn't think any of them had seen her this happy before.
"Mama, look! It's Mooey!" Valerie exclaims, finally turning her attention away from the cow to look at him.
Stephen chuckles. "Do you like your surprise? Daddy and I thought you might like to see a real one."
"Can I have one?" She pouts, making Stephen stiffen minutely and have to mentally tell himself not to give in .
"No, darling, but Daddy is going to see if you can visit."
"She sure can." Clint's neighbor says as he walks over with a smile and crouches down to look at her. "I just talked to your Daddy and I told him that you can come visit whenever you want. It looks like Buttercup here really took a liking to you anyway."
"Did Tony tell you how she will be visiting?" Stephen asks and the farmer stands back up.
"Sure did. Says you have some fancy magic. Few years ago I wouldn't have believed you but after everything that's happened and since meeting the Bartons, I figured anything is possible. Just be sure to give me a call ahead of time so I know to expect you."
"Of course," Stephen says and then smirks. "I'm sure you'll be seeing Valerie often now."
"I'll teach her how to milk Buttercup next time around," the man promises. "Oh, name's Duke by the way. I'd offer you my hand but I've heard enough about you from Clint that I know about your hands."
"I…appreciate your consideration. I suppose you already know my name?"
"Pretty sure I know all of the Avengers by now," Duke laughs. "I even know that you're their matriarch."
Stephen rolls his eyes. "Clint would tell you that."
"No judgment here. You have a happy family and team and that's all that matters." Duke pats Buttercup. "Anyway, if you'd like, you and yours are welcome to stay and see the other animals and we could even gather around a fire. The kids like s'mores right?"
Stephen smiles. "We would love that…but I insist that we buy the s'mores stuff. Half of our kids are supers and two of them eat like three grown men. Not to mention there are thirteen of us."
"Fair enough. Now let's go meet us a pig!" Duke says loudly to gain the kids' attention.
"Piggy!" Lucy screams before bolting out of the barn.
"... we're taking her home covered in mud aren't we?" Stephen sighs as Tony returns, making the older man laugh.
"Oh, without a doubt."
"That's what the hose is for," Harley snickers as he passes them.
"Pretty sure she'll just take another mud bath." Kate points out and Stephen looks at Tony.
"Your daughter."
"Fair enough."

Girl Back There Valentine's Day Self-Rec List
I've been kind of going through it with my physical and mental health over the last several months. I haven't been doing a whole lot of creating as a result. I attempted to do something for Valentine's Day, a ficlet, a drabble, a moodboard, something, but I've been lacking the time and motivation.
While I'm working on not letting that get me down, I thought I would at least do a self-rec list to put out work that I have done in hopes that I will get back to my creating ways someday. I've only written one fic that is Valentine's Day themed, but I do have a few soft, squishy fics for you to enjoy the holiday with.
A Holiday More Meaningless than President’s Day (Bucky Barnes/Clint Barton, Rated M, 5k)
Clint has a minor problem. Despite seeing all the advertisements and heart decorations everywhere, Clint hasn’t thought about Valentine’s Day. Now he is wondering if the Russian spy/assassin/all-around-badass he has been secretly banging like a faulty screen door for the last few months wants to celebrate the holiday.
Since Bucky wants to keep their thing a secret, does that mean he doesn't want to celebrate? Would Bucky be upset if Clint treated today as a normal Sunday? Does Clint want to treat today as a normal Sunday? And even if Bucky does acknowledge the holiday, how does one handle this day with a fuck-buddy? Clint is nowhere near psychologically mature enough to handle these things.
Sometime, anytime, sugar me sweet (Bucky Barnes/Steve Rogers, Rated M, 6.2k)
Bucky doesn’t know how his mother managed to Jedi mind trick him into dropping off Becca at summer camp this year, but she somehow did it. Despite his grumpiness at the unreasonable hour in which he was wrenched from his nice and cozy bed, Bucky is glad for this time with his little sister.
Becca spends their time talking about the activities she got to do last summer that she hopes will be back again this year, all of which was organized by Steve Rogers. After she came home from Camp Marvel last year, all Becca could talk about was Steve Rogers, one of the counselors for her team, The Howlies. Steve Rogers was an amazing artist. Steve Rogers participates in all of the competitions despite his asthma, scoliosis, heart arrhythmia, and various other medical issues. Steve Rogers totally drinks his respect women juice.
Bucky would be worried about his sister may be developing a crush on this Steve guy, but after meeting him, Bucky is more preoccupied with the crush he's developing on Steve. So preoccupied in fact, he ends up signing on to be a camp counselor for the summer.
The Sunrises in Wakanda (Bucky Barnes/Steve Rogers, Rated G, 2.8k)
The sunsets in Wakanda are unrivaled if you ask anyone lucky enough to see them and Bucky agrees. They are truly spectacular, but Bucky prefers the sunrises. The start of a new day in this life he managed to carve for himself since the fall of Hydra.

The blond grabs his chest and throws his head back, laughing with his whole body. Bucky can hear the sound from where he is across the gallery. The sound is far deeper than Bucky could have anticipated on a man that small. Bucky can feel the sides of his mouth curl upwards at hearing that laugh.
As if his thoughts called out to him, the blond looks over and catches Bucky staring. Bucky should look away, he’s being rude and creepy, but he can’t. Those startling blue eyes have him snared.

8-- Advice Comes From Strange Places
As soon as the door clicks shut, Tony’s mind is spiralling. "Fucking shit." He looks at the poster of Freddie Mercury, "What the hell was that? What did I just do? Did Peter fucking Parker come into my dorm and make out with me against the wall for..." He glances at the clock, "Forty-five minutes? Is it possible to hallucinate something that realistic while hungover?" He stares at the poster, hoping the rock god will reply with answers to the universe. "Fuck I'm not hungover, he's right. Which means... Peter fucking Parker came into my room and made out with me against the wall. Holy shit." He closes his eyes and the memories of the last hour replay in his head. One of his machines whirrs around, providing something for his brain to latch to as he thinks.
He lays back on his bed, hands running through his hair. "March 8th, I called Peter art. March 9th, Peter comes to my dorm and calls me out on my feelings." March 9th, Peter Parker kisses me for forty-five minutes against the wall." he rolls over and looks at the wall, "Now what?" When he meets Freddy's eye again, he glares, "You are no use, y’know that?" He smiles. He is well and truly fucked.
Peter glances back at Tony's seat for the sixth time. By this point, Bucky is raising his eyebrow and giving him a "Can I help you?" expression. He blushes, turns back to his textbook and continues highlighting his notes in pink highlighter. Tony never came to class at all. Gwen, Nat, and Pepper keep glancing at their friend, what happened in the last hour?
At the lunch table, Peter sips his pink berry smoothie, texting quickly. His manicured nails tap against the screen as he texts, they pause briefly and he sets his Starkphone down, the back of the crystal case glittering in the sun. "What was that about?" Loki asks, sitting their panini down in its container, "Is Harley giving you shit again?"
"No, no nothing like--" The phone chirps again, and without finishing the statement, Peter is absorbed in the phone once again.
"Surely you're not texting--" Loki pushes.
"No. It's just my aunt." As if to prove itself, the offender chirps four more times in succession. He continues typing, smoothie melting on the table. "My collection just arrived. She was asking how I wanted it delivered."
"Okay. I was just checking on you, you've been so secretive, Peter." Loki stands and hugs Peter, smiling softly, "I will come to see you later if you want to talk?"
"Yes," he whispers back, "Please do."
"Bye, guys! Love your faces, see you for dinner?"
"I have a date!" Gwen shouts, "But raincheck! I will tell you guys about him tomorrow at brunch!"
"Good luck, darling!" Peter cheers as he walks off the patio and to the sidewalk. He waves at his friends and heads to his dorm. He needs to think.
Tony's losing his ever-loving mind. Since Peter left, all he can seem to smell is Peter's cologne, and hear the echo of his gasps. He feels pathetic, trying desperately to wipe the feeling of Peter under his hands from his mind.
Bucky is going to have to kill his friend. It's going to happen and no one will find his body. He shakes his head, opening the door to their dorm hall to hear Tony blasting rock from his room. "T!! Open up, it's Bucky!!" He smiles, hearing Tony's music shut off as he opens the door.
"Hey." he smiles, allowing the brunette into the now messy room.'
"Tony, when I said put on clothes, I meant real clothes. Not a tank and jeans."
"I had on a shirt earlier. I took it off when I started soldering! I swear! It's literally on the chair!" Tony holds up the shirt, and smiles, "I was wearing a shirt!"
"Why didn't you show up for class earlier?"
"I was... Uh--"
"Don't you dare lie to me, Stark." Bucky only uses last names when he's serious, "I mean it."
"Okay... fuck. You can't tell the guys."
"Scout's honour. What's wrong?" He leans forward from his place on the bed and stares at Tony.
Tony takes a deep breath and the words start flowing, "Petercameoverandtoldmehelovedmeandthenwemadeoutandnowmylifeisfuckingruined, okay?"
"One more time, honey. I didn't get any of that."
Tony sighs deeper this time and tries again, "Peter came over and told me he loved me and then we made out and now my life is fucking ruined and I can never leave this room ever again."
"Okay, I need you to breathe before you panic worse than you already are." He breathes along with the scientist, smiling gently. "Did you try that thing your therapist taught you?" Tony nods and shows him the paper, "And did that help?" He shakes his head. "No. Okay, um... can you walk me through your thought process as to why you can't leave your room ever again?"
"Peter Parker. That's why. Weren't you listening?"
"I am. But why can't you leave anymore, and don't just say Peter again."
"Because if I see him again, I can't guarantee that I won't just jump the poor kid right then and there! You saw how I was at the party, I can't fucking do this anymore, Bucky. I can't just admire him from afar, I need him up close. I need him to be mine! I fucking love him, Bucky!" His heart is pounding as those words leave his mouth, "And I don't mean it in the "one and done" hookup way, I mean it in the "I want to wake up next to you and drink coffee and have mind-blowing sex on the counter way."
"Right. Remind me never to eat anything from your breakfast bar."
"This is serious! I never felt this for Bethany, Pepper, Joan, Kenneth, or any of the others."
"I'm impressed you remember the one night stands."
"Of course I do, Bucky, I'm not an oaf."
"I never said you were. But with the way this whole Peter thing is happening, I wonder if you have more than one brain cell. There is something there, and clearly, you two need to face it. Now, I have one question for you: Do I rent a hotel room for you or Do you want to suffer your whole life."
Tony sighs, "Can I sleep on that?"
"No. I need an answer now, you can't use your tricks on me." Tony sighs in defeat, flopping down on the bed next to Bucky.
"Fuck. Um... Not yet but I will address it. It's only fair to him." Tony rises, replacing his tank with the t-shirt and heading to the door, "I will talk to him, Bucky. It might not create a relationship but it would be nice to have some connection with him or something."
"I will be back tomorrow. Go." His phone rings, proving his statement. "Hey, Stevie, I'm on my way out of the building. Yes, he's fine. I will see you shortly. Love you too." He hangs up the phone and smiles at Tony, "I will see you later. Talk to him, T. Please."
"I will."
A soft knock at Peter's door startles him a few hours later. "Who is it?" He asks, slipping on his robe over his oversize t-shirt and shorts.
"It's Loki!" they reply, "Can I come in?"
"Just a second!" He pauses his movie and unlocks the door, allowing his friend into the room, and inviting them to sit on the white chaise in the corner. "Sorry, I was watching a film."
"It's alright. Sorry to interrupt. I just wanted to make sure you were okay earlier. You said you needed to talk?"
"Yes." He sighs, the events of the last 24 hours pouring out into the lap of his best friend.
The black-haired fashion god sighs and squeezes Peter's knee, "You're gonna be okay. I know it's overwhelming. That's a lot to have happen to you in a 24-hour period. What are you going to do now?"
"I don't know, Loki, but I need to see him again. I can't do this. If I see him again, I can't guarantee all of my feelings won't rush out into the space between us and ruin what we have built together. I don't think I can do this longing from a distance thing. I need to see him again, Lo. Can you help?"
"Let me see what I can do." They smile, hugging Peter, "I will make it work for you guys and protect your social status. I know you worry that it'll be social suicide for anyone to see you. I don't think that's true. We're in college, Peter. No one cares."
"I know but I just don't want people to ruin this. I want to have Tony but I don't want to ruin this magic that exists between us. It's a secret, like crossing enemy lines. I just want it to stay pure."
"That's fair. I mean, I understand that. I know when Tony's friend Steve and Bucky first started dating, everyone wanted to know all the details."
"They hooked up in a bedroom at a party," Peter says, disinterestedly.
"That's true. But everyone was asking Bucky what Steve did to make him scream so loud."
"Like it matters."
"That's fair. But in all seriousness, I will figure out how to arrange for you to see each other in private."
"Thank you, Loki."
"No problem, Peter. It's what friends are for." They hug Peter, before heading towards the door, "I'll see you tomorrow."
"Bye, Loki. I really do owe you one."
Peter smiles, shutting the door and turning the lights off. His movie watches from the TV as he flops on the couch and picks up his phone. Why didn't he think to add Tony's number to his phone?
"I wonder..." Peter smiles and opens Instagram, hoping that typing the boy's name in will show his page. "Tony... Stark..." He presses search and a few moments later Tony's page appears in the results. He rolls his eyes at the bio 'Legacy is for losers' and scrolls through the different photos and snapshots from Tony's life. He clicks on one picture of Tony underneath a car and finds himself staring for longer than he'd like to admit. He sighs and shuts his movie off, crawling into bed.
