In the second step that's called meditation, which
the point is not to get far —the point is to focus in
on some key words/ideas/themes, in a particular
passage & then when something strikes you
that resonates with you; this is important to stop
—the point is not progress & the point is to begin
to reflect on this & say:
• Why is this significant right now?
• What does this word tell me about JESUS's
character
• How does this word illuminate some area
in my own life or area in my own flaws or
character failures or something like that
• What is this word or concept mean for the
things that are ahead of me that I know
are coming later today
• What is the significance of this in light of
• What JESUS did for me on the cross &
Then the next step is not to keep on reading your
Bible—it's to stop and actually use the very words
from the particular passage and to turn that into a
prayer that uses the same words you just read &
reflected on and to turn that into your own prayer
to GOD
………………………………………………………………………………
Then contemplation is basically go live your life,
but go live your life shaped by the reflections &
meditations that you've done from the day & for
a while you know at least for me it took time
………………………………………………………………………………
2.1] Keep Plugging Away at It
You know it kind of felt like going through the
motions, but you know after a while of doing it
—it just becomes a pretty sometimes even brief
—but meaningful practice of a daily prayerful
engagement with the Scriptures.
And I'm certain that this is exactly the kind of
thing that JESUS is doing & it's precisely the kind
of thing that JESUS called HIS followers to do—it
is this meditating, it's hagaying on the Scriptures
• not to learn something &
• not just to tell GOD what I need
But to stop & focus & not feel the need to have to
do or say anything but just reflect on the Scripture
How they lead me into this engagement with the
Living GOD, WHO is the SAVIOUR of the Universe
How do you gain the motivation to see that I need
this & it's not just a matter of like feeling guilty or
like JESUS did it so I need to do it [power up]
• It's about a change of my desires & affections
• It's about me coming to actually believe that
I can't live adequately, if I don't have this
practice in my life.
I need it & I want it so that I'm going to
focus on it & say no to other things that
are going to get in the way of that.
2.2] How do you get there?
Let me share with you one way that has gotten me
there over the last few years. Turn to Luke 22 with
me—it's the last moment of JESUS's private prayer
that's mentioned in the Gospel of Luke.
We looked at a whole bunch already.
But in Luke 22 just where it begins with Judas going
out to betray JESUS & get the soldiers & hire them
most of Luke 22 is the Last Supper.
It's the last Passover meal between JESUS and HIS
followers & right as the meal concludes and they
leave.. Look at v.39 of Luke 22.
Luke 22:39 | ³⁹ JESUS went out as usual to the
Mount of Olives, & the disciples followed HIM.
It says JESUS went out “as usual” to the Mount of
Olives & HIS Disciples followed HIM; on reaching
the place, HE said to them,
“Pray that you will not fall into temptation..”
JESUS knows at that moment, within 12 hours HE
is going to be hanging on the Roman cross and he
says: “Pray the moment of decision, the ultimate
moment of decision—of your allegiance to ME is
coming. Pray that you don't fall.”
Then HE withdrew as HE always did.
About a stone's throw beyond them, HE
knelt down & HE prayed “FATHER if YOU
are willing take this cup from ME — yet
not MY will but YOURS be done.
This is the moment of agonized solitude an Angel
from Heaven appeared to HIM, strengthening HIM
— being in anguish, HE prayed more earnestly HIS
sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground
When HE rose from prayer, HE went back to HIS
Disciples & HE finds them doing what? So JESUS
HE's utterly alone now.
HE has only the FATHER's Presence with HIM that
HE's aware of — but HE is in utter #solitude even
though HE has this circle of Disciples around HIM
They're exhausted from sorrow, and so here you
have this last moment of JESUS's prayer life — at
least this side of the Cross & Resurrection..
And it's a moment where HIS Solitude, HE actually
wasn't trying to be alone; HE went a stone's throw
away.
………………………………………………………………………………
But the whole point is, they should be with HIM in
mutual support—and HE finds HIMSELF completely
isolated, only the Presence of the FATHER that HE
is wrestling with, in an agonized prayer.
………………………………………………………………………………
The last moments of JESUS, right where HE had HIS
will to do what HE thought HE should be doing were
moments of solitary prayer.
But they were also moments of #abandonment of
those who were closest to HIM, & this to me this
is profound because that in a way solitude
Choosing to cut yourself off from any input
and relationship, as a part of your regular
practice—that's a form of self-denial so for
some of us, it's very difficult to do this
And it's a form of death almost.
2.3] Symbolically Enter Pain of the Cross
It's cutting yourself off, so that you identify with
JESUS —and HIS moment of HIS final moment of
solitude; and so JESUS goes into this moment of
solitude in agonizing prayer . . .
………………………………………………………………………………
because HE knows that the cross is ahead
of HIM, this this moment where HE's going
to absorb into HIMSELF cumulative effects
& HIS & the FATHER's OWN judgment on
human failure & sin & selfishness in HIS
OWN death on the cross
………………………………………………………………………………
And it's this moment of agonizing solitude.
• Why did HE go & do that?
• Why did HE do that & the witness of all
of the NT Scriptures is that HE did that
as an act of love for you & for me.
………………………………………………………………………………
JESUS went into the moment of complete
abandonment & solitude precisely as an
act of love & commitment to those who
would look to HIM in faith
………………………………………………………………………………
so that in their moment of solitude and
death—they would have the promise of
never being abandoned
And so in these acts of solitude that we place
ourselves into, it's a pure response to the ONE
WHO is completely abandoned & isolated for
me & my behalf
as an act of love & in my better moments
which aren't that my heart is melted into
a desire to want to be in solitude with my
SAVIOUR..
That's how I get there.
I don't know how you need to get there — but it
seems to me it's only going to happen when we
see that we need this practice.
We need it in our lives to actually fully function
as as human beings & as followers of JESUS.

Follow The Lamb | The Altar Music
In triumph or in trial
Whatever comes my way
I will follow the LAMB where HE goes
When my cup is empty or when it overflows
I will follow the LAMB where HE goes
[CHORUS]
May the LAMB receive
the reward of HIS suffering
Every voice, we sing,
the reward of HIS suffering
In life or in death,
With every breath
I will follow the LAMB where HE goes
In joy or in sorrow
This one thing I know
I will follow the LAMB where HE goes
[CHORUS]
Today and tomorrow
All the rest of my days
I will follow the LAMB where HE goes
In beauty or ashes
I have this hope
I will follow the LAMB where HE goes
[CHORUS]
Hallelujah, oh what a SAVIOUR
There is no end to HIM
Hallelujah, oh what a privilege
it is to follow HIM

Daily Verse Second Reading – Romans 8:26-27
26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
New International Version (NIV)Holy Bible,…
by Steven J. Cole | In a message at the 2011 Desiring God Pastor’s Conference, Francis Chan told of many answers to prayer that he has received. He said that for those who know the living God, this should be the norm. We should have such frequent answers to our prayers that we’re surprised when an occasional one goes unanswered...

Disclaimer: This is not my personal ranking of the ships, this is purely based on how I view the historical event that takes place in the year that the numbers make up. I will happily further explain any of the events, my analysis of the events with the ship, and why I ranked them that way if anybody is interested. I tried to get a variety, but I am better with western history so there is more of skew towards western history. I have used both CE and BCE years to create more variety. As with everything with RPF, I do not believe any of these drivers are together and this is all in good fun, if you don't want to view it as ships view them as teammates! I guess I can update this now! If you haven't figured out by now I love Roman Reigns! I'm also pagan (some prefer the term polytheist because they see pagan as offensive but I don't) and a witch (not wiccan) I post about it regularly on my blog along with Roman. I write fanfics whenever I get the urge. I make gifs and post a lot of pictures.
I admire TRUE loyalty. Apparently faking loyalty is a thing now!🤦🏻♀️ Also seeing people being playgans is hilarious! Saying "gods" doesn't make you pagan, you just look desperate to fit in and it gives hypochristian vibes!!
I DO NOT give permission for my works to be translated or posted elsewhere! I DO NOT give permission for my stories to be fed to AI!! I don't own any wwe or any of their characters only my OCs. I cross post my fics on AO3 and Wattpad. I don't have fanfiction.net so if any of my stories are there that's not me!
They can take away our lives...... But they can never....take.... OUR METAL!!!!!🤘
Im Also a very loyal metalhead! I use it in my stories A LOT!! That metal growl is music to my ears!! I love it!!
I listen to 80s music and some 70s as well!

Meditation and Solitude P1,2 | Tim Mackie [Romans 8:26-27]
Now what is this meditating? There's the meditate
all clear? It's just very clear what it means in English
right? Meditate, that's not a clear word in English at
all — because it's a word that has been picked up to
describe the kinds of practices or spiritual practices
in many different kinds of religious traditions.
So what does it mean in the biblical tradition?
What does it mean in the Jewish?
What does it mean in the Christian tradition?
And of course I have to teach you the Hebrew word
because that's what I do, so this is a really good one:
It's the word hagah, which is used a handful of times
in the Biblical Hebrew — and actually the majority of
times that you learn about or you see this word used
• it's not referring to people
• it's referring to animals who are doing this
So in Isaiah, a lion hagahs & it's particularly a lion
who has just shredded a lamb to pieces, & is like
sitting there over the meat, the fur, & stuff & like
beginning to eat it..
1.] Doves Hagah the Most
And that lion is is said to be hagahing
over its prey, there's a number actually
the most of the passages in the Bible
that use this word are describing doves
And what doves do? [1:21]
In other words, this is a word that means to mumble
or to whisper or to speak silently or Softly & so a lion
hagaz [Isaiah 31:4, growls] over a little slaughtered
lamb, doves hagah [Isaiah 38:14; Isaiah 59:11 groan]
when they're up on the power lines, making noises
to themselves; and
Romans 8:26-27 | Future Glory [2 Corinthians 5:1-10]
In the same way, the SPIRIT helps us in our weakness.
For we do not know how we ought to pray, but the
SPIRIT HIMSELF intercedes for us with groans too
deep for words; ²⁷ & HE WHO searches our hearts
knows the mind of the SPIRIT, because the SPIRIT
intercedes for saints according to the will of GOD.
humans [Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1:2, soliloquize/muse on
a subject/thing]. Humans hagah when they have the
Scriptures in front of them in these quiet moments
—that they have patterned to regularly happen thru
-out the day & night of their lives.
1.1] So what does that mean?
Does this mean just like read your Bible & pray?
This is something in between reading your Bible &
then like praying & making your request known to
GOD —it is this form of relational interaction with
GOD & Scriptures as the medium.
………………………………………………………………………………………
The Scriptures as I read them aloud to myself slowly
& carefully/prayerfully & they become this way that
I have an interaction with JESUS that's what Psalm 1
is referring to & this is the in a way of engaging the
Scriptures!
………………………………………………………………………………………
That's actually mentioned quite a number of times in
the Scriptures themselves—and it seems to me this is
surely one of the things, I think even one of the main
things that JESUS was doing in these moments we are
called to pray & to read the Bible & to hagah.
And that this is part of the regular practice so that it's
not just like you sit by yourself . . . How many of you
have tried to pray and you just get utterly lost in your
own thoughts, you know & you're just like whoa!
What just happened to me?!
Like somehow, like this train of association disrupted
the entire meditation on GOD, so this to me has been
one of the greatest gifts is learning and adopting this
practice—because you are actually focusing on some
-thing that's not your own thoughts.
………………………………………………………………………………………
You're focusing on the Scriptures, but you're engaged
with them—not to learn something; so that's why the
Book of Psalms, I think has formed the prayer book
for this practice for so many millennia.
………………………………………………………………………………………
Now it's because once you pray through it a number
of times, it becomes familiar to you, then it becomes
the way for you to use these prayers of the Psalms.
But to become your own prayers in some ways, but
this is about this experiential engagement with the
Scriptures—so I would say go to the Book of Psalms,
or go to a passage that you already are familiar with
• because the point is not learning
• point is to to read this text slowly & aloud to
yourself & then to engage with it, think about
what it means to all of life. Why did GOD say it?
Recently I realized that I’ve met a lot of people with the surname Hung but virtually no Hongs. Hung is a romanization of 洪 used in Taiwan (it's Hong in pinyin). So why have I met so many Hungs but not many Hongs? It turns out that in Taiwan, 洪 is the 14th* most common surname, but in Mainland China it’s way down at 107th**!
After learning this, I realized that 洪 is not the only surname for which I've noticed this imbalance. Using rankings I found online, I calculated the differences in ranking and also the "quotient" (rank in Mainland divided by rank in Taiwan) for over 200 surnames.
This list consists of surnames "significantly" more common in Taiwan ("significant" means quotient > 2). I’m focusing on surnames for which my personal observations line up with the numbers. The rest of the surnames meeting the criteria are under the cut.
List order: By rank in Taiwan, from most to least common
List format: 简体字 | 繁體字 pinyin (Taiwanese-style romanization)
Additional surnames meeting the criteria:
The first 4 surnames are so common everywhere that I haven't observed an asymmetry. Thus, they are listed down here.
We put together a calendar of key (mostly queer) dates at the start of the year to help us with scheduling - so I thought I’d share it around! Including pride and visibility days, some queer birthdays and anniversaries, and a few other bits and bobs. Click the links for more info - I dream one day of having a queer story for every day of the year!
This is obviously not an exhaustive list - if I’ve overlooked something important to you, feel free to add it in the reblogs!

Obviously, just like in the first one, I didn't add underage characters such as Ruby, Oscar or Whitley. Pyrrha is there because since her confirmed birthday was on April and the Vytal Festival took place in the Fall, then she had most likely turned 18 by volume 3.
I randomized all the pairs, but still I made sure most guys were with other guys because considering how gay this fandom is, all the guys would be out of the poll in the first round if they were against women.

Context: Matthew 27: 1-66
Focus: Matthew 27:51-52
“At that moment the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth quaked and the rocks were split. The tombs broke open, and the bodies of many saints who had fallen asleep were raised.” Matthew 27: 51-52
Definition: Breakthrough – a military…
1 The wise sayings of Solomon, the son of David, king of Israel.
2 To have knowledge of wise teaching; to be clear about the words of reason:
3 To be trained in the ways of wisdom, in righteousness and judging truly and straight behaviour:
4 To make the simple-minded sharp, and to give the young man knowledge, and serious purpose:
5 (The wise man, hearing, will get greater learning, and the acts of the man of good sense will be wisely guided:)
6 To get the sense of wise sayings and secrets, and of the words of the wise and their dark sayings.
7 The fear of the Lord is the start of knowledge: but the foolish have no use for wisdom and teaching.
Advice to a Son
8 My son, give ear to the training of your father, and do not give up the teaching of your mother:
9 For they will be a crown of grace for your head, and chain-ornaments about your neck.
10 My son, if sinners would take you out of the right way, do not go with them.
11 If they say, Come with us; let us make designs against the good, waiting secretly for the upright, without cause;
12 Let us overcome them living, like the underworld, and in their strength, as those who go down to death;
13 Goods of great price will be ours, our houses will be full of wealth;
14 Take your chance with us, and we will all have one money-bag:
15 My son, do not go with them; keep your feet from their ways:
16 For their feet are running after evil, and they are quick to take a man's life.
17 Truly, to no purpose is the net stretched out before the eyes of the bird:
18 And they are secretly waiting for their blood and making ready destruction for themselves.
19 Such is the fate of everyone who goes in search of profit; it takes away the life of its owners.
The Good Woman—Wisdom
20 Wisdom is crying out in the street; her voice is loud in the open places;
21 Her words are sounding in the meeting-places, and in the doorways of the town:
22 How long, you simple ones, will foolish things be dear to you? and pride a delight to the haters of authority? how long will the foolish go on hating knowledge?
23 Be turned again by my sharp words: see, I will send the flow of my spirit on you, and make my words clear to you.
24 Because your ears were shut to my voice; no one gave attention to my out-stretched hand;
25 You were not controlled by my guiding, and would have nothing to do with my sharp words:
26 So in the day of your trouble I will be laughing; I will make sport of your fear;
27 When your fear comes on you like a storm, and your trouble like a rushing wind; when pain and sorrow come on you.
28 Then I will give no answer to their cries; searching for me early, they will not see me:
29 For they were haters of knowledge, and did not give their hearts to the fear of the Lord:
30 They had no desire for my teaching, and my words of protest were as nothing to them.
31 So the fruit of their way will be their food, and with the designs of their hearts they will be made full.
32 For the turning back of the simple from teaching will be the cause of their death, and the peace of the foolish will be their destruction.
33 But whoever gives ear to me will take his rest safely, living in peace without fear of evil.

Some more interesting info on some of these titles under the Read More!
First we have the “Knight of Dragon Emblem” title. This makes me think of Fire Emblem (a video game series that I am not overly familiar with, I just know the name) and dragon imagery. Dragon imagery is associated with strength, courage, magic, and all of that kind of stuff. While a knight protects.
Second we have “Watermelon Woman,” when I looked this up, I found a Wikipedia page on a 1996 romantic-comedy drama called “The Watermelon Woman.” This is a movie that was written, edited, and directed by Cheryl Dunye:
a Liberian-American film director, producer, screenwriter, editor and actress. Dunye's work often concerns themes of race, sexuality, and gender, particularly issues relating to black lesbians. She is known as the first out black lesbian to ever direct a feature film with her 1996 film The Watermelon Woman. She runs the production company Jingletown Films based in Oakland California.
(From Wikipedia, which will be linked to below).
She also stars as the lead role in the film. The lead character is Cheryl who is a “young black lesbian.”
This is the song that plays when Carol and Dorothy show up. Interesting. In the movie, Cheryl explores a lesbian relationship with a white woman Hmm....
But it also plays during stuff like Miri’s daycare interview with Miss Anna. So, I don’t know if there might be some other reference as well.
It could be an indicator of musical influence as well. At least, I definitely think that the song titles Battle of Spanish Joint and Mystery of Spanish Joint come from a song by D’Angelo that came out in 2011. The song is titled, “Spanish Joint,” and you can definitely hear some of the musical influences there.

The lyrics are rather interesting, especially if you think about them in connection to Buddy Daddies.
One song is titled Requiem, which has a few meanings:
Text:
(especially in the Roman Catholic Church) a Mass for the repose of the souls of the dead."a requiem was held for the dead queen"
a musical composition setting parts of a requiem Mass, or of a similar character."Fauré's Requiem"
an act or token of remembrance."he designed the epic as a requiem for his wife"
The second meaning is likely the meaning they are going with here.
Nocturne is a musical composition that is meant to invoke the night.
“Don’t Say Goodbye” is the song that Miri’s mother sings in the snack bar back in Episode 3. We get the extra lyric of: “I wanna spend as much time as possible...” Given the current situation she is in, with cancer and wanting Miri back, etc. This song seems like it will be reflective of her feelings in regards to all of those things. I hope we get a full version of it in the actual series itself too!
