I've been re-reading your Tev/Dren comics and saw again how wrecked Tev's clothes got to warrant a new outfit during the Tribunal DLC. I know realistically, after Red Mountain, Tev likely went shopping for her new clothes in one of her casual outfits (after taking some time to heal ofc), but I find it funny to imagine her and Dren going clothing shopping immediately after defeating Dagoth Ur, f'd up clothes + blood and all.
HAH god, thank you Anon--to be honest, I think about Tev's post-fight clothes situation all the time (and will probably do ssssomething with that sometime down the road), and I loooove imagining what that scene would look like.
Tumblr media
It's fine! She's fine. We're all fine. Nothing to see here.

Look, I'm really gay and a simp for Mikasa. Also, I've been obsessed with Royalty tropes. This thing came out of my brain as a result. Hope you enjoy it, I guess.
⚠️ Warning ⚠️: Mikasa being a chaotically cute and oblivious, me being gay af and simping for her. Eren being clueless but supportive nonetheless. OH, this is very sapphic. Not proofread at all, that's just a self indulgent story that I vomited on my phone's keyboard
Princess reader who gets an arranged marriage with prince Eren Jaeger. Both Eren and the princess are miserable with this situation. Eren wants to be a traveler and explore the world's hidden mysteries. The princess wants to be free from the duty of marriage and child bearing.
Unfortunately, princess and Eren get married. They make an agreement to act as a couple only to the public, but never in private. They become good friends with time and learn to appreciate each other's companies and advice.
One day, an assassination attempt endangers the princess's life and Eren decides that she needs more personal protection. He sends a letter to his sister, Mikasa, a well known strong shield maiden and also a very trusted person. Mikasa agrees to look after her brother's wife.
What Mikasa didn't expect is to find the princess extremely ethereal and beautiful. She tries to play it off as normal because everyone simps for a princess from time to time (right? It's normal, right?).
Princess is utterly in love with Mikasa. As soon as Eren introduced his sister, the princess was too focused on how beautiful and divine the dark haired woman looked. That moment the princess knew she had to get that cutie for herself.
The princess wore the most beautiful dresses, perfumed herself, braided and decorated her hair. She made sure to look pretty for her shield maiden. Everyday they would go for a peaceful stroll around the gardens, talking about the gossip from the previous day. In the afternoons, the princess would take Mikasa to the library and read books with her. In the evenings, the princess insisted that Mikasa sat beside her during dinner. Eren was a little confused but happy that his sister and wife were friends.
One day, Mikasa has to travel for a small mission assigned by her brother. The princess gets really sad, but understands it. Eren assures her that the trip will only last a week and Mikasa will be back very soon. The princess patiently waits, and waits and waits.
After two weeks, a group of shield man come back with a wounded Mikasa and all hell breaks loose. Eren is worried because his sister is almost invulnerable and the princess is worried she won't make it. Fortunately, Mikasa is stable and will recover soon.
During her recovery, the princess wouldn't leave Mikasa on her own. She takes care of her wounds and feeds her when she isn't feeling strong enough to do so. While Mikasa sleeps, the princess kisses her forehead and tells her "I love you" thinking the shield maiden is not listening.
Mikasa of course hears that, but doesn't say anything because she is confused and not sure she wasn't hallucinating. She recovers and everything goes back to normal, but those three words torment the shield maiden's mind.
Mikasa looks for signs that the princess might have romantic feelings for her. All the while she feels guilty because Eren is her husband. She doesn't want to hurt her brother's feelings by pursuing his wife.
All the while Eren is a little too dumb to notice both women are clearly head over heels for one another. It takes Armin to actually tell him "bro, they're in love we have to do something because I can't take this anymore" (let's say Mikasa likes to barge Armin's chambers and complain that the princess is so cute, and pretty, and lovely).
Eren and Armin make a plan (more like Armin does all the planning and Eren is the moral support) to send both women to a very beautiful and secluded castle owned by the Jaeger family. They tell both girls is a safety measure and Mikasa completely agrees to take the princess there.
The princess and her shield maiden arrive on the castle and have a lot of fun walking around and exploring the library and the surrounding forest. They decide to have a picnic and end up kissing, with only the sunset as their witness.
When they arrive back home, Eren and Mikasa have a conversation. Eren tells his sister he doesn't have feelings for the princess and that he would be more than happy to have his sister and friend be married.
In the end, Mikasa and the princess get married with Eren and Armin as witnesses (Armin got his license to marry and unmarry people). Eren and princess are still married to the public, but in private she is Mikasa's wife.

TPOL!JK
you still don’t talk to jungkook. your eyes are focused on the IV in your arm and when jungkook places your cell on a table near you, he heads for the door and just when he’s about to leave you tell jungkook “thank you for saving me, jungkook” you even thank him like he’s a stranger and he can’t bring himself to say anything back. he opens the door and leaves you alone. maybe for good this time. you phone yerin and namjoon about the situation who immediately rush to the hospital to see you. namjoon apologizes for leaving you to deal with your demons alone but you assure him that everything is okay as long as he promises to not hurt you ever again. never again.
your road to recovery takes a long 2 years as you move to ilsan with namjoon but because of your paranoia, the two of you broke up and you were on your own in busan with your dog mochi and a new friend by the name of jorja who was a foreigner that was adjusting to the new life in korea. the both of you hit it off pretty well and would go on coffee dates with yerin from time to time and even went to restaurants together to try yummy foods together.
your life looked to be back on track and your mental health was getting better thanks to your new hobbies of “meditation” and crocheting. of course you still did what you loved when it come to your occupation but after the drowning scare, you refrained from keeping alcoholic beverages in your home and because jorja is an absolute sweetheart, she would have sleepovers at your house to keep you from being in a dark place by yourself. the both of you cried together, laughed together, and it was people like her who kept you from feeling less lonely.
today is grocery shopping day and you are in need of some fruits so you head to the best store in busan with the best fresh fruits, with jorja accompanying you, of course.
“hmmm” you ponder “dammit. no pineapples again”
“nooooo, how are we gonna make pineapple lemonade without pineapples?”
“strawberries?”
“i’m allergic remember”
“ugh, that’s right. you suck, jojo. how abouuuut…peach?”
“ouuuu, you’re such a freak, y/n”
“you are gross, jojo” you laugh at the obvious innuendo before looking at more fruits and tossing them in your cart.
“y/n? is that you?” you turn your head to see ji-ae with a bright smile on her face who is excited to see you after so long. your hair is short, your skin is glowing, and you look so happy. “hi sweetheart. it’s been so long. when did you come back to korea?”
“i’ve been back in korea for two years now”
“two years and you never told me?”
“i’m sorry. a lot was going on in my life”
“you should come over so we can catch up”
“uhhh, i don’t think that would be okay with jungkook”
“well jungkook and i don’t live together anymore”
“what? why?”
“he’s seeing chaeyoung—“
“THE SINGER?! holy shit” yells jorja in your ear.
“aww, good for him. i guess i can come over then. what time?”
“6:30?”
“that works. can my friend jorja come too?”
“of course. see you tonight, love bug”
“see you”
⏩ ⏩
“hi, y/n! and you must be jorja right?”
“hello, nice to meet you. make yourselves comfortable”
for this occasion, you keep it simple with a matching sky blue tracksuit and platforms. your short hair is wavy and ji-ae is wearing a simple dress with her hair in a bun. the two of you talk on and on about your whereabouts and jorja being the comedian she is, makes the two of you laugh throughout the conversation.
both of you even help ji-ae cook the yummy dinner and unbeknownst to you, in comes jungkook with his partner chaeyoung who is shocked to see the company in his mother’s home but jungkook is shocked to see you.
“oh. my. gosh. you’re chaeyoung. THEE chaeyoung” says jorja who tries to hold it together but can’t.
“hello” greets chaeyoung who goes to give a hug to you, jorja and ji-ae.
“hi chaeyoung, hi kookie. come help us cook” says ji-ae who goes back to what she was doing. “you set up the table. i’ll help your mom cook, okay?” chaeyoung says before leaning up and pressing a kiss to jungkook’s cheek.
yep, they ARE together.
Jungkook doesn’t feel good when he sees you in his mother’s home, as chaeyoung gives him a kiss on the cheek, he’s distracted, because he’s staring at you.
You look good, too good actually.
He feels sick, his appetite has died. It’s so clear to him that he’s still not over you. He reluctantly sets the table, along with the new girl that he’s not really familiar with
He’s silent, he doesn’t know what to do, what are you even doing here? Just when he was slowly starting to get over you, you’re back.
What does destiny want? To make him suffer forever? Do you have any idea how hard it is for him to pretend that he doesn’t love you anymore? He still looks for you in every single partner of his.
That’s pathetic.
“Umm… the table is all set, mama.” Jungkook says, scratching his head, yes his hair is very long now, so he pulls on it as he leaves the living room and goes to the balcony.
He’s so frustrated. The way his heart skipped a beat when he saw you- he’s so in love with you, he wants to kill himself. Jungkook takes out his cigarette and lights it up and puts the stick between his lips.
Chaeyoung…. Yn….
He closes his eyes blows out a puff. That is until someone calls out his name.

 Thanks to @coffeeshib for letting me steal the amnesia + wife prompt... I couldn’t help myself. This is not what I thought would come out (content warning for canon typical violence and injuries), mostly this is just Kara being a whole entire idiot and Alex facepalming and Lena just being glad Kara is there for her, as her fake wife while she recovers from another quarterly attempt on her life:
“Supergirl! You have to go!” Alex is yelling at her as they roll Lena into the emergency room at National City General, but Kara is rooted to the spot - she can’t look away. Lena is pale, too pale, and there’s blood all over her dress, cuts and scrapes and bruises already blooming on every piece of exposed skin. She isn’t moving, isn’t breathing on her own right now; the only air making its way into her body is through the ambu bag being operated by a nurse, as women and men in scrubs crowd around the moving gurney, shouting orders. And all of that is terrifying enough, but it isn’t the thing that’s paralyzing Kara.
The reason Kara can’t move, the reason that she is barely breathing, is that she can’t hear Lena’s heart.
“Kara.” Alex is closer now, she steps gently in front of her sister, dropping her voice so that no one else can hear her. “Kara, you have to go, they’re getting away.”
“Alex - “ Kara takes a step forward, as if to walk around her sister, to head towards the doors that Lena and the medical team are disappearing behind.
“I know, Kara, I know,” Alex says, gentle and quiet. The doors shut, and Kara’s eyes snap away from it to her sister's face. Alex looks as terrified as Kara feels; she’s wearing an expression Kara has only seen on her before when it’s Kara who’s hurt. “You can’t do anything for her right now. But you can get the guys who did this.” She reaches for Kara’s arm, squeezes - the pressure is grounding. “You need to go. You need to go right now.”
So Kara goes.
__________________
She returns seven hours later, after dropping the men who carried out the attack on Lena at the DEO and declining to help in the interrogation. She nearly killed them, doesn’t think she has the stomach to listen to them talk. She’d still been in the field when the hospital reached out to let her know that they’d been able to stabilize Lena, restarting her heart, but that she hasn’t woken up yet. Alex had relayed the message to her, but now Alex only shakes her head when Kara asks if there are any updates.
Her sister pulls her aside when Kara says that she’s going to hospital to talk to the doctors, telling Kara quietly that she needs to go home and clean off her suit. When Kara looks down, she sees that Alex is right. She’s covered in blood - some of Lena’s, some of it the men she’s apprehended, none of it hers. It makes her want to sob.
But when she gets out of the bathroom after showering, pulling on soft joggers and a hoodie, Kara finds that she can’t settle. Every time she closes her eyes, every time she blinks, she sees Lena’s lifeless body in the rubble that had been her office, can feel Lena in her arms the moment her heart stopped, and the fact that Lena is supposedly stable doesn’t help at all because she hasn’t woken up.
What if she never wakes up?
Suddenly, Kara can’t breathe. Her chest is tight, the walls of her apartment seeming to flex and close in on her. Her heart rate speeds up and she’s taking choked half-breaths, clenching her fists and blinking away tears.
She can’t lose Lena like this, not after she worked so hard to get her back. Kara looks at the clock. It’s just after midnight. This is definitely not visiting-hours at the hospital, and Lena’s not awake anyway - but Kara needs to see her. Needs to know she’s alive.
Needs to hear her heartbeat again.
It’s all of this - the panic, the desperation, the single-minded focus on getting to Lena - that Kara will blame later when she’s trying to explain what happens next in the weeks to come.
The hospital is deserted except for the staff when Kara walks in through the main entrance and goes up to the ICU where she knows Lena will be. She heads straight for the desk at the front of the unit when she arrives, and introduces herself to a nurse before asking if she can see Lena.
“I’m sorry, Ms. Danvers,” the nurse says, and she does sound sorry in the face of Kara’s distress, “visiting hours aren’t until ten a.m.”
A man in a basketball sweatshirt and jeans walks past them, he scans a small badge that says ‘VISITOR’ in capital letters on a machine at the end of the desk, and nods at the nurse before he disappears down the hallway.
“He’s visiting,’ Kara tries, her voice bordering on frantic, “he’s visiting and I need to see her, you don’t understand, I’m not going to be okay if I don’t see her. Please, just let me...”
“I’m so sorry, honey, it’s immediate family only after hours.”
“I’m her wife,” Kara blurts out. “Please. I’m her wife.”
“You’re her…that’s not in the notes…” The nurse trails off, looking down at the computer in front of her.
“I’m her emergency contact, I’m her wife, please.”
““Oh, yes,” the nurse starts nodding, “I do see that marked here, they called you when she came in. Hmmm...Someone clicked the wrong box under ‘relationship to patient.’” She moves her mouse and clicks on something, then looks back up at Kara. “I’ve fixed that for you, Mrs. Danvers. Let me print you out a visitor badge so you can just scan it in next time.
Kara can feel her panic recede a little. She’s going to see Lena. The nurse takes a blank badge and feeds it into an electronic printer. She hands the finished product to Kara, then gets up and gestures for Kara to follow.
“Now,” the nurse starts as she walks Kara down the dark hallway, the lights on half since it’s night, “she looks a little rough, but I assure you, she’s receiving the very best care there is. Normally you would have been called for consent before we initiated the hypothermia protocol, but since she had an advanced directive on file already, the team went ahead and started it.”
Kara’s barely listening to her, has started to strain her ears for the only sound she’s wanted to hear all day. She nearly collapses in relief when she finds it, below the beeping and the whirring and the buzzing of the machines, unlike any other beat in the building. Lena’s heart is steady, slower than usual, slower than Kara’s ever heard it, but it’s there, rhythmically thumping away.
The nurse brings her to a halt in front of a patient room, Lena’s name on the board outside with a bunch of notations that mean nothing to Kara. She’ll ask Alex to translate.
“She’ll be cold to your touch, that’s alright,” the nurse continues. “The key right now is to try to stop or slow any of the damage she’s suffered as a result of going into cardiac arrest. She lost a lot of blood, and her left femur is broken, along with her right ulna, but there are a lot of reasons to be hopeful. We’ll know more in the forty-eight to seventy-two hours once the protocol is complete.”
Kara refuses to think about most of this. Lena is alive. She’s alive and she’s right on the other side of this door. She clears her throat. “How long...how long can I stay?”
“As long as you like, dear. We’ll round on her in the morning and if you’re still here you can talk to the attending. Also, we’ll be in to check on her, but most of the monitoring is electronic since she’s in a medically induced coma for at least the next two days. There’s a chair that reclines by the bedside, I can grab you a blanket?”
“Please,” Kara says. She stops with her hand on the door, turns back to the nurse. “Thank you.” It comes out wobbly.
“Of course.” The nurse smiles at her. “Go on in, I’ll be right back.”
_____________________
Kara’s woken up by the medical team the next morning during rounds, just as the night shift nurse had promised. She blinks awake and rubs at her eyes, stretching and going to stand up when the team enters.
“Hi Mrs. Danvers, we saw you’d arrived,” a tall woman in a white lab coat says, walking over to Kara on the far side of the room and sticking out her hand to shake. “I’m Dr. Sheldon. We’ll do our best to bring you up to speed now, I’m so glad you were able to make it last night.” She gives Kara a warm smile. “Believe it or not, it really does make a difference when patients are supported, even when they aren’t aware of it.”
The team walks her through their care plan for Lena, how long she’ll have to remain like this before they start the re-warming process, what they’re concerned about and what they’ll be looking for. Her arm and femur have been set and immobilized, but it’s likely that the femur will need to be rebroken and repaired surgically if and when Lena does wake up. Given the invasiveness of the procedure, the delicacy of her present condition, and the unknowns about her cognition, that decision will keep.
When they leave, Kara texts Alex. If the doctors think that it will make a difference for Lena’s recovery to have her here, then she’s going to stay. She’s owed time off anyway. This is the best use of it she can think of.
Two hours later, the door opens, and Kara looks up from the bed, relieved to see Alex standing there, holding a backpack with the food and change of clothing Kara asked her to bring.
“Oh gosh, am I glad to see you,” she says, letting go of Lena’s hand and standing up. She walks around the bed to where Alex has stopped.
“Yeah, yeah,” Alex says, and she’s frowning at Kara. “You have some fucking explaining to do.”
“What?” Kara stops abruptly.
“What?” Alex parrots. She narrows her eyes. “Are you being serious…?” At Kara’s confused expression, Alex rolls her eyes and reaches behind her to shut the door. She walks over to Kara, pulling some take out from the bag and handing it to her, before pulling up one of the swivel chairs a doctor had been using.
Kara takes the food and goes back to her seat.
“So?” Alex prompts.
Kara looks up from the styrofoam container, already having broken apart her chopsticks. “So what?”
“What do you mean...Kara!” Kara freezes, chopsticks frozen in midair clutching a piece of kung pao chicken. There is real frustration and confusion in Alex’s voice. “Imagine my surprise when I sign in at the front desk and the nurse says that my sister-in-law is stable right now. Wanna tell me why the fuck you’re playing house to visit your best friend in the hospital?”
Kara sets the chicken down. “Alex…”
“Kara, you have ten seconds to explain why the entire staff thinks you and Lena are married and the answer had better not actually involve marriage or I swear to god I’ll…”
“They wouldn’t let me in to see her!” Kara bursts out. “I got here last night and I needed to see her, Alex, I needed to. And apparently it’s immediate family only and I panicked, okay?”
“I’m sorry,” Alex says, pinching the bridge of her nose and closing her eyes. “I know Lena is important to you, but Kara, you could have waited ten hours and seen her.”
“I couldn’t.” Kara looks down at her food, not hungry anymore. “Alex, I couldn’t. I almost had a panic attack after you sent me home last night. I couldn’t wait.”
“Oh kiddo.” Kara looks up at that, all the frustration is gone from Alex’s tone. Her sister lets out a sigh. “Lena’s going to get through this and she’s going to get better. And when she does, you have got to tell her how you feel.”
“She’s my best friend.” Kara’s mouth twists. This is not a new conversation, but the stakes seem higher with Lena in the bed beside her, unconscious and battered.
“She is,” Alex agrees. “But she could be more.”
And oh, Kara wants more with every fiber of her being. But more than that, she wants Lena in her life, wants the easy love and affection they’ve finally gotten back to. And she’s been worried about rocking the boat.
“And by the way,” Alex says, pulling her back to the present, “lying to medical professionals is not a good look.” Kara grimaces and ducks her head.
“I know,” she says, glancing at Lena, the ventilator moving her chest up and down slowly. “But they said it’s good for Lena to have someone here, talking to her, holding her hand, even if she doesn’t know. And you know Lillian isn’t going to do that. And Lex is the one who put her here...just let me do this, okay?”
Alex hums. “You’re so lucky I didn’t blow your secret.”
Kara looks over at her sister. “Thank you.”
“Some of us are actually good at lying under pressure. I’m surprised you didn’t tell them she was married to Supergirl.”
“Well I wasn’t dressed as Supergirl.”
“Thank god for small mercies.”
______________________
Lena doesn’t wake up for the next three days.
In the interim, all of their friends visit, but Alex has already warned them about Kara’s new relationship status and other than Nia’s constant giggles, no one comments. Kara doesn’t leave the hospital. She keeps vigil in the chair, occasionally leaving for short periods of time to go down to the cafeteria, or to stretch her legs.
On day four, Alex convinces her to at least go to the DEO to shower and check in with J’onn about  the duties he and M’gann are covering for her.
She’s just getting ready to head back to the hospital when her phone rings.
“Mrs. Danvers?”
“Yes?”
“This is Dr. Sheldon. Your wife has woken up and she’s being evaluated now by neuro, but we wanted you to know first thing.”
Kara has to sit down in the middle of the DEO, the concrete hard and probably cold underneath her, but it’s better than the alternative, which was just going to be letting her knees give out. She closes her eyes tightly. “I’ll be right there.”
She flies back to the hospital, landing in a nearby alley and running into the building with just a touch of superspeed. She makes it onto the unit just in time to see Lena’s care team leaving her room and turning down the hall to the next patient, and as much as Kara wants to get an update from them, the urge to see Lena herself is too much. She walks through the open door and nearly runs into a nurse, who’s moving some of the equipment out, now that Lena is conscious. It’s a nurse Kara is familiar with, her name is Bernadette, she’s been on shift the last two days. Her eyes light up when she sees Kara.
“Your wife is here,” Bernadette says, over her shoulder before Kara can stop her. She smiles warmly as she turns back to Kara. “I’ll leave you two alone.” She slips past Kara and into the hallway.
“My…” Lena’s eyes go wide as she sees Kara standing helpless in front of the now closed door.  Her voice is still scratchy from the extubation. Her hair is greasy and all over the pillow, her right arm and left leg are completely immobilized, there are wires running through the top of her hospital gown, her whole body a tapestry of garish purples and greens and stitches. But she’s awake. Kara has never felt more relieved in her entire life, but it turns to ice in her veins as Lena struggles to speak, clearly confused. “My - my - oh god.” Her eyes start to fill with tears and Kara panics.
“No, Lena, no, it’s not - “ she starts saying, taking quick steps towards the bed.
“Oh god, oh god, Kara,” Lena chokes out, twisting a little in bed and flinching, “they said I only lost a week, they said my memory seemed okay, that there’s no - ”
“We’re not married!” Kara yells out trying to stop the clear spiral Lena is on. Lena’s eyes go wide, but she does stop looking like she’s about to start sobbing. “We’re not married,” Kara repeats, in a normal voice this time.
“Then why…”
Kara winces. “I might have told the hospital staff that we are. Married, that is.”
Lena looks wary, small and weak and confused in the bed, and she’s frowning a little at Kara now. It doesn’t even matter, though, because the feeling of seeing Lena awake is returning with every word she speaks, and Kara feels something in her chest open up. She has to resist walking over and climbing into bed with her and holding her, knows she needs to explain first.
In every single way Kara played out this moment all week in her head, not once is this how it went - she wants Lena to be smiling, to be okay, or at least as okay as one can be after coming out of a medically induced coma, with a number of near catastrophic injuries still to be dealt with. She certainly didn’t imagine she’d be contributing to the disorientation and isolation Lena’s projecting right now.
Lena’s eyes dart around Kara’s face. Kara takes a deep breath.
“The first night you were here, I had to see you.” She starts twisting her hands together, takes another step towards the bed. “And it was late, and even though I’m your emergency contact, they said no after hours visitors except for family and I panicked.”
“You panicked.” Lena sounds like she’s unsure how panic would lead someone to pretend to be married, and honestly, now that Kara is having to explain the decision, she’s not really sure either. The only thing she knows is that she doesn’t regret it. Would do it again, in fact.
“I knew if they thought I was your wife, they’d let me in to see you. And Lena, I had to see you. I had to. You were - “ Kara cuts herself off, can feel the tightness in her chest, closing around her heart like a vice. “Your heart stopped before I could get you to the hospital. The last time I saw you, I didn’t know if - “ A small sob works it’s way up her throat, and Kara’s eyes are burning. She feels a tear break free from her lashes. “I needed to hear your heartbeat.”
An unreadable expression crosses Lena’s face as Kara takes the seat by her bed that she’s occupied for the last week. To Kara’s great relief, Lena reaches out her left hand, lays it on the edge of the bed, palm up. Kara grabs for it with both of her own.
And Rao, the feeling of Lena’s hand, still cold, but undeniably warmer, squeezing back when Kara grips tightly - she doesn’t know how to describe this feeling. It starts a fresh wave of sobs in her, of relief this time, rather than terror.
“Hey,” Lena says, punctuating it with another flex of her fingers around the back of Kara’s hand. “Hey, I’m okay. I’m here. You saved me. I’m okay, see?”
And really, that just makes Kara cry harder.
“I’m supposed to be comforting you,” she chokes out.
“You are,” Lena says, disengaging their hands and bringing her fingers up to Kara’s face, wiping at the tears. “You are, god, I was just thrown. I thought...I thought, it doesn't matter what I thought.” She tries to laugh and ends up flinching.
“Oh no, are you okay, should I call the doctor?” Kara immediately reaches forward, lays a hand on Lena’s hip above the sheets and wipes furiously at her face with the other.
“It’s the broken ribs,” Lena grits out, jaw flexing as she drops her hand away from Kara’s face and back onto the bed. “Fuck that hurts.”
“I’m just so glad you’re awake,” Kara says, leaning forward again and brushing some of the hair out of Lena’s face, trying to tuck it behind her ear.
That’s how Bernadette finds them when she returns, Kara gently touching Lena’s forehead, and rubbing her hip, the two of them so close that Kara might as well climb in next to her.
“I’m sorry to interrupt,” she says, smiling at the two of them. “The attending would like to pop in with the head of ortho to talk about surgical options for your femur. Should I tell her to come back later?”
Kara moves to stand up, she doesn’t want to delay anything about Lena’s care, but Lena reaches for her hand again, and Kara’s powerless to do anything but lace their fingers together and sit back down.
Lena takes a shallow breath, “Can my wife stay?”
My wife. Hearing it come out of Lena’s mouth does something to Kara that feels a little dangerous, makes the room spin a bit. Her heart feels as if it’s expanding and being squeezed at the same time. My wife. My wife. My wife.
“Of course, she’s more than welcome to stay,” Bernadette says. “It’s probably a good idea, actually, now that there are care decisions to make.”
_____________________
“Let me get this straight,” Alex says, her head in her hands. Kelly reaches out to rub her back. “You’re still pretending to be married, and Lena is playing along with it?”
Kara nods. They’re sitting down in the cafeteria while Lena gets a sponge bath, something that Kara is trying very hard not to think about. It’s been nearly three weeks, one major operation, and thankfully no more complications.
And Kara has been here through it all. She’s started leaving for blocks of time during the day (it turns out she didn’t have a month worth of vacation saved up and Alex had nearly had an aneurysm when Kara asked if she was allowed to use family medical leave act time), but she’s spent nearly every night in the hospital with Lena since. The medical team loves them, has started talking to them about how devoted Kara is. Maybe Kara’s playing into it a little, bringing flowers, and Lena’s favorite foods, and always, always touching her in some way when she’s in the room.
“You know they’re going to build her discharge plan around you, right?” Alex squints at her. “Have you considered that?”
Kara flushes. “Actually,” she brings a hand up to rub at the back of her neck, adjusts her glasses for good measure, “we’ve agreed that I’ll just move in with Lena for a little while. She can hire someone during the day, but I’ll be around at night and I can help with the rehab. So, um, it’s fine.”
“You’re both fucking idiots.”

“I’ve been home for an hour and I’m already regretting every choice in my life that’s lead to this point. This is humiliating.”
“Oh my gosh,” Kara laughs, “no it isn’t.”
“Kara, you’re washing my hair in the kitchen sink because I can’t even wash myself right now with this fucking cast and brace on.”
Kara grins, squirting shampoo onto her hand and setting the bottle down on the marble countertop. Lena is sitting in the wheelchair, left leg propped up on the supports. She’s leaning back with her head over the edge of the sink, rolled up towels supporting her neck and her eyes are closed. She’s frowning, but it’s the frown she wears when she’s trying too hard not to smile. It makes Kara want to kiss it right off her face. She takes a deep breath, instead.
Kara is just so grateful that she gets to see Lena like this, hair stringy from the hospital, oversize sweatshirt with one sleeve bunched up over the top of the lime green cast on her right arm. The post-surgical femoral fracture brace looks uncomfortable, but Lena hasn’t complained about it at all. So, fine, maybe this nearly debilitating urge to kiss her best friend, to ask her if the last few weeks could be real, instead of fake (not the marriage part, not now, anyway, but the relationship part sure), is getting more and more intrusive. That doesn’t mean Kara can’t continue to ignore it until Lena’s better.
She finishes washing Lena’s hair and if she takes extra time massaging in the conditioner and making sure the water temperature is absolutely perfect, well, that’s just being a good caretaker. She sets Lena up in her bedroom, then goes back to the kitchen to clean up
“Ok, Lena,” Kara says, walking back into the bedroom. “You officially have zero edible things in your apartment. I’m going to make a list and head to the grocery store for supplies, ok? Your next meds can’t be taken on an empty stomach.”
“You’re underestimating my iron constitution.” Lena frowns unhappily in bed. “We can just order some, you don’t have to go.”
“I’ll be back in a jiffy, okay?” Kara smiles at Lena.
Sure, they could order groceries, but she wants to go get them, to pick them out herself, and bring them back. It makes her feel so good to be able to do things like this: wash her hair, go get groceries, make her something to eat. The best part of this whole terrible ordeal is that she’s gotten to take care of Lena, to show her, not just tell her, how important she is to Kara. It warms her up from the inside out.
“You sure I’m allowed to be by myself?” Lena teases, breaking Kara out of her thoughts. “I haven’t been left to my own devices in weeks now. Just imagine all the trouble I could get into.” She raises an eyebrow.
Kara laughs and shakes her head, drawn closer to Lena like a magnet. Lena’s tucked into bed, leg propped up on pillows to keep the brace comfortable, two books on the nightstand beside her, a glass of water within easy reach, and the next round of medications in a small porcelain bowl that Kara repurposed from the kitchen. Her hair is still wet from being washed, and although there are dark circles around her eyes, and her cheekbones are too sharp from the weight she lost in the hospital, Kara doesn’t think she’s ever seen anything more beautiful than Lena right at this exact moment.
She walks over to the bed and sits down next to Lena, reaching over to move the glass of water back from the edge of the nightstand and onto a coaster. “You’re going to be fine. I’ll bet you a whole order of potstickers that you’re asleep when I get back.” She reaches across Lena, adjusts the towel covering up her pillow to keep it from getting wet.
When she pulls back slightly, she’s startled by how close Lena’s face is to hers. Lena is looking at her with such unadulterated fondness, that Kara can’t help reaching up and tucking a wet tendril of hair back behind Lena’s ear. “I’ll be back so soon you won’t even know I was gone.”
“I always know when you’re gone,” Lena says, the corners of her mouth lifting up, her eyes crinkling lightly. Kara’s hand has drifted from Lena’s ear to the back of her head, her thumb brushing gently at the soft skin just below Lena’s jaw.
When she retells the story of what happens next later, Alex will roll her eyes and mutter under hear breath, but Kara will swear this is the truth: without even thinking about it, she leans forward and kisses Lena on the lips, quick and soft, then stands and turns to go, pulling her phone out of her pocket so she can start making a grocery list.
“You can drop the act now,” Lena says, a little stiffly.
“Huh?” Kara whips around, more at Lena’s tone than at her words, and looks at her in confusion. Lena’s face is bright red.
“Kara, we’re - I’m home, there’s no hospital staff to convince anymore.” She sounds a little upset and Kara, feels her forehead crinkle as she replays the last several seconds in her head: she moved Lena’s water, adjusted the towel behind her head, smoothed Lena’s hair, and…
“Oh Rao, oh gosh.” She takes a step forward, then back abruptly, as she realizes that she’s just kissed Lena on the mouth. She puts one hand on her forehead and the other on her hip, spins in a small circle. “Lena, I’m so sorry. I didn’t - ”
“It’s fine,” Lena says, her voice sounding calm and even now that Kara is having a meltdown, but her heart is doing some sort of high speed gallop in her chest and it’s giving Kara the impression that this is not actually fine.
Oh no, oh gosh… “Lena, I’m sorry, - ”
“I get it.” Lena cuts her off, holding up a hand to stop her. “The whole act, it’s a hard habit to break.” She drops her hand to the bed and laughs lightly, picking at the blanket. “Honestly I’m surprised we made it this long without accidentally doing that.”
“Accidently. Yes.” Kara’s nodding so hard, she feels like her head might come off. “It was an accident.” That might be a convenient way of putting it, but it doesn’t change the fact that Kara’s been wanting to kiss Lena, wants it to be as un-accidental as possible. And aren’t accidents things like tripping on the carpet, or spilling a drink at dinner? She may not have been thinking when she did it, but Kara knows there’s nothing accidental about that kiss.
But Lena’s giving her an out, and Kara can’t bring herself not to take it.
“I’m just going to - ” Kara gestures over her shoulder and then she flees.
“Alex, I kissed her.” Kara’s made it outside the apartment, but her heart hasn’t slowed down. She didn’t even bother making a list after walking out of Lena’s bedroom, just went straight to the elevator, dialing Alex before she’d even hit the lobby. Her stomach is squirmy, she feels like she might throw up.
“Finally,” Alex says, letting out what might be a relieved sigh.
“What do you mean finally?” Kara feels hysterical.
“I mean finally, idiot. Watching the two of you for the past three weeks has been the most painful experience of my life, I’m glad you finally did it.”
“She thinks it was because of the act!” Kara nearly yells. A man walking by looks at her, narrowing his eyes and giving her a wide berth. “She thinks it’s because of the act, Alex!”
There’s silence on the other end of the line for a moment.
“Kara Danvers, are you fucking kidding me right now?”
“No,” Kara wails. “I didn’t even mean to do it! Or, well. I meant to do it, but I didn’t know I was doing it. I was making sure she had everything she needed and then I was leaving to go to the grocery story and somewhere in the middle I kissed her! And she got kinda upset even though she said she wasn’t and she says it’s fine because it was an accident. And it was an accident, at least in the sense that I wasn’t thinking when I did it and god I didn’t even ask if she wanted to kiss me, but I meant it, Alex, I meant it.”
Kara can picture Alex right now: that tight, unhappy expression on her face, fingers pinching her nose between her eyes.
“Okay, I swore to Kelly I wasn’t going to do this, but that was before you lost your damn mind and kissed her.” Kara can hear Alex take a deep breath. “You need to go back upstairs right now and confess, Kara.”
“What?” Kara practically screeches. She spins in a circle. “No, this isn’t the right time. I’m supposed to be helping her, I’m supposed to be taking care of her, I can’t put this on her right now. What if she doesn’t feel the same, what if this ruins everything, what if - “
Thankfully Alex cuts her off. “That argument worked before you kissed her and decided to let her believe you didn’t mean to do it. And before you argue with me, you might not have known you were doing it, but you absolutely meant to do it, Kara.”
Kara is now facing Lena’s apartment and gently knocking her forehead against it.
“Kara, I heard that crack, stop headbutting the building.” Kara stops, keeps her forehead pressed to the cool limestone. Alex pauses, and her voice is gentle when she continues. “You gotta tell her, kiddo. You’ve been down the whole lying path with her before and while I don’t think this is the kind of lie that would cause her to try removing our free-will again, I do think that you guys decided on honesty as your way forward. You either own that, or you don’t.”
“You’re right. I know you’re right.” Kara squeezes her eyes shut. “If we can get through that, we can get through this.”
“That’s the spirit. And hey, if for some reason things don’t go well and you feel like you can’t stay with her? Kelly or I would be happy to swap out for you tonight. Just in case you need some space.”
“Thanks, Alex.”
“But Kara, I think you’re gonna be just fine.”
Kara doesn’t feel much better when she hangs up with Alex, but she knows her sister is right. She’s got to tell Lena.
And to be honest, Kara can’t imagine a world in which Lena would be upset with her for having feelings, regardless of whether they’re reciprocated. They’ll be able to work through this, even if it hurts for a while. She’s had friends fall in love with her before, and she’s always been able to keep them as friends afterwards. God, maybe Winn has some advice for me, she thinks.
So Kara takes a deep breath and goes back inside. Groceries can wait.
She’s trembling when she lets herself back into Lena’s apartment. It’s nerves, anticipation more than anything. She’s about to confess something that she can’t, won’t take back and it will change things between them, even if only for a while.
Lena looks up from her book when Kara makes her way back into the bedroom. She sets it down beside her hip on the bed and cocks her head.
“Well that was fast. Did Supergirl get my groceries?” She gives Kara a smile.
“I’m in love with you.” Well that’s one way to start this conversation. “And I didn’t kiss you accidentally.”
Lena’s smile drops, her eyes widening in surprise. Everything about her seems to freeze.
“Before you say anything, I need to get this out. I’m not telling you because I’m expecting anything. I don’t want anything to change, I mean, I do, clearly, but I don’t if that’s not what you want.” Kara squeezes her eyes shut and looks at the ceiling. She really should have thought this through. “I’ve known for a while, actually, I was just worried about what it might mean, if you didn’t feel the same way.” She drops her gaze back to Lena. “But then you almost died. And I pretended to be your wife. And I was planning on telling you once you’re totally recovered. Except then I kissed you without even thinking about it and I can’t lie about this, Lena. It isn’t good for either of us. So. Yeah. Just. Tell me what you need.”
Lena’s looking at her with an expression Kara can’t read, but she doesn’t look unhappy, or afraid, or upset...
“Kara, do you remember when that nurse told me my wife had shown up?”
“Yes,” Kara says, frowning, because she doesn't understand where Lena is going with this. “Of course I do, you were panicked that you’d experienced severe brain damage.”
Lena shakes her head, pats the space on the bed next to her.
Kara feels a weight lift from her shoulders: no matter how this goes, if Lena is asking her to come closer, then they’re going to be okay. She walks across the carpet.
“You’re right,” Lena says as Kara comes closer, “I was worried, but that wasn’t the only thing that made me panic.”
“What else was it?” Kara sits down and looks at her lap, bringing her hands together to fidget. She can feel Lena’s body heat next to her, but she doesn’t want to reach out unless Lena does it first. “Was it the idea of being married to me?” She laughs. She can laugh about this.
“No, darling,” Lena says. She reaches for Kara’s hands, smoothing her fingers across them to still them. Darling, that’s a good sign, right? “Kara, as terrified as I was that there was more damage, my first thought was that somehow I’d lost memories of us: of you falling in love with me, of dating and first kisses and someone proposing and a wedding.” Lena pauses and Kara stares at their joined hands. She hears more than sees Lena take a deep breath and let it out. “I’ve been in love with you for so long it broke my heart to think that those things had happened and I couldn’t remember them.”
Kara whips her head around to look at Lena. Her best friend is smiling, and her eyes are a little wet like maybe she’s overwhelmed and might cry and oh gosh, does Kara understand that feeling right now.
“You love me,” she says, feeling her own eyes start to fill with tears.
Lena nods.
“You’re in love with me,” Kara can’t help clarifying. This is something out of a dream.
Lena nods again.
“Can I…” Kara reaches for Lena’s face, trails her knuckles down Lena’s cheek and watches in awe as Lena leans into the touch.  “Can I kiss you now?”
“Yes,” Lena breaths out, smiling, and it’s blinding. “But only if it’s not an accident.”

Can I please get some hcs about Donna trying to court/pine for someone who’s more timid and shy than her, or at least is afraid of Donna bc she’s a Lord and has all these rumors about her (some true some not), and is worried about being killed or worse everytime they’re in the room together
(Oh god, this is such a disaster combo. My poor wife 😭)
Donna Beneviento x VERY Shy! Reader
Donna first notices you from a distance.
You're charming, kind, and so sweet to others! It's obvious that you're very shy, but that doesn't stop you from reaching out a (very gently trembling) hand when someone needs your help.
You're clearly working through some anxieties of your own, and at first Donna finds herself watching you because she relates to your experiences. Unfortunately, you don't have an Angie to help you like she does, so you seem to be even more timid than Donna is.
Eventually, though, Donna starts to fixate on the small gestures that you do.
The way you smile when you think nobody can see you is just heartbreakingly cute, and she wishes you had the courage to smile like that all the time.
Sometimes, you giggle so hard, you shove your face in your hands and try to stifle the noise so it doesn't bother other people.
One time, on a very rare sunny day, you tilted your head up towards the sun, closed your eyes, and simply basked in the warmth. You reminded her so much of the flowers in her garden, that she was immediately hit with the desire to see you relaxed and safe beside her favorite blooms.
What can I say? She just thinks you're neat 💓👉👈
Eventually, she decides it's time to get to know you better!
Angie hypes her up too! Donna should get out there and meet you organically! You and her are so similar it'll be easy to get a conversation started!
AHAHAHA no
Angie's sort of right. You and Donna are very similar. Too similar. Because when Donna gathers enough courage to leave the house to try to meet you in public, she spots you, panics, overthinks her approach, and darts around a corner. She winds up following you around all day, while Angie heckles her to JUST SAY HI ALREADY.
But...uh... here's the thing...
You're shy, but you're not oblivious. Donna Beneviento, the Lady of House Beneviento, one of the Four Lords of the village is stalking you through the streets.
You are ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIED.
The word around town is Lady Beneviento tortures her servants. Apparently she makes them suffer through horrifying hallucinations before she rips them limb from limb, stitches their soul back together, and turns them into living dolls?
The minute you realize what's going on, you IMMEDIATELY make your way back home, lock the door, and try your best not to have a panic attack.
This goes on for several weeks. As you slowly leave the house less and less, Donna becomes more and more confused and concerned. Are you sick? Hurt? Is something wrong?
Finally, one day you hear a knock at the door, and open it to find a lonely little doll in a wedding dress standing at your feet.
Ah. So this is how you die.
Angie is here to check in on you! Apparently Lady Beneviento has noticed you aren't feeling well, and wishes you a speedy recovery!
You are speechless. After a minute, you try to say a quick thank you and usher the doll off your porch, but Angie is Not Having It. You are shaking and obviously scared of her, and she's going to do her best to fix it.
Despite her loud, wild personality, Angie can be pretty charming when she wants to be. She continues to offer pleasantries mixed in with remarks about how she (AND DONNA) hope you're doing well, and how she (AND DONNA) want you to know that if there's anything you might need, she (AND DONNA!!!) would be happy to send some staff your way.
That's... Not what you were expecting.
It takes a moment for you to reassess the situation. Donna Beneviento, despite the rumors, has never openly hurt anyone that you know of. And while she very obviously has a living doll--something that you are confused and still a little nervous about--Angie doesn't seem malicious.
And when Angie gives a little goodbye curtsy with stiff joints and a tiny wave as she skips away, you find yourself a lot less scared of veiled Lady in the Manor and her living doll.
The next time Donna spots you around the Village, she's aware that you are frightened of her. After talking with Angie, they've both resolved to try to give you some distance. While Donna is devastated at the thought she might never get to know you like she wanted, she wants you to be comfortable and feel safe.
Maybe one day, you might get to be friends, but it's clearly not in the cards for now.
Just as she is about to walk away, you turn to look at her. There's a split second where you obviously don't know what to do, but then you absolutely stun Donna by just... smiling at her. The same smile you give when you think nobody can see you.
You even pluck up the courage to offer a her small, shaky wave.
Donna waves back, happy beyond belief, while Angie practically screams back her own hello.
(...It's a start 🥰)

Heart Skips a Beat - Part 2
Natasha Romanoff x Reader
Summary: Natasha faces her worst nightmare when a rescue mission goes wrong…
Warnings: Violence, blood
Word Count: 1837
Part 1
Tags: @blkmxrvel @blackxwidowsxwife @marvelwomen-simp
When Natasha sees your eyes close, she finally comes back to her senses. She squirms away from Steve, crawling under an ambulance and making her way towards you. She ignores Steve telling her to stay put and doesn’t hear Clint telling police officers the direction the bullets came from. All she can think about is bringing you to safety.
The ambulance engine is still running, causing its underside to reach temperatures that make Natasha feel like she is hiding in a furnace. She holds her breath from the fumes as she crawls to the front of the vehicle, throwing her arm out and reaching for your hand.
“Y/N!” she screams. “I’m right here! Hold on!” Her fingertips brush yours and she grabs onto your wrist tightly. You’re bigger and heavier than her, but the adrenaline gives her strength. With a massive heave, she drags you under the ambulance. You smear through the puddle of your own blood and it soaks through the back of your shirt.
There isn’t even enough room for her to lift her head, but she grabs onto both your arms, digging her elbows into the ground and crawling backwards. “I got you, Y/N. I got you,” she pants. But the lack of space and your deadweight make it impossible for her to pull you all the way through, so she backs out from under the ambulance. “Steve, help me!” she shouts.
“Move!” Steve says to her, although his shoulders are too broad to fit in the narrow gap. However, his arms are long enough to reach both of your hands, and all it takes is one big tug for you to come sliding out from the ambulance.
Your eyes fly open suddenly, awakened by the agonizing pain coursing through your shoulder like a lightning bolt. You scream, and as much as it makes Natasha’s heart hurt, she’s glad to see that you’re still alive.
“You guys need to get out of here right now!” Clint yells. “Take the ambulance!”
Steve pulls you into a standing position and wraps his arms around your waist, lifting you onto his shoulders effortlessly. You flop over him like a ragdoll, pain pulsing in your stomach when you bump against his chest.
BOOM.
A bullet shatters the sideview mirror of the ambulance.
“Go, go!” Natasha urges, putting herself between the danger and you and Steve. Steve runs with you to the back of the ambulance and flings the door open. There is no gurney, so Natasha helps him lay you on the floor and climbs in after you.
“Stay with Y/N. I’ll drive,” Steve offers, going around to the front. “Clint, we’re taking Y/N to the Quinjet! Hold the scene down!”
“Copy that!” Clint is just as concerned for your safety, but he knows you’re in good hands. Steve jumps into the driver’s seat and throws the ambulance in reverse.
BOOM.
The windshield explodes.
“Let’s go!” Natasha screams, ducking her head.
“Hold on!” Steve backs into a sharp U-turn. The tires screech as they find traction on the road to accelerate forward.
Natasha practically lays on top of you to prevent you from rolling around. From a shelf, she grabs a handful of gauze packets, tearing them open with her teeth. She rips your shirt open and presses the gauze first to your shoulder, then another to the side of your stomach. You’re completely soaked in blood and it continues to pump out of you with each heartbeat. Your face has faded to a sickly pale.
“N-Nat,” you whisper, trying to move but pinned down by the pain. “N-Nat—”
“Shh, it’s okay,” she comforts. “Just keep your eyes open for me, okay?”
You see the blood smeared on her face, her neck, and her hands, too delirious to remember that it’s yours. “A-Are you h-hurt?” you stammer.
Natasha wants to laugh and cry at the same time. You’re so in love with her that even in the face of death you don’t even think about yourself. “No, I’m fine,” she says, grabbing onto your hand and interlocking your fingers. She looks over at Steve, veering through parked cars and roadblocks. “Can we hurry it up a little?” she asks in panic, even though she knows he’s driving as fast as he can.
“I’m trying!” Steve swerves around a fire hydrant and the sudden movement jolts everyone in the ambulance. Natasha presses down on you too hard and you grunt in pain.
“I’m sorry,” she apologizes. “We’re almost there. We’re almost there.”
Your vision fades into fuzzy shapes and blurred colors. Even breathing seems to be too much of a task for you. Steve parks behind the Quinjet and comes around to help carry you in.
“Do you need me to go with you?” Steve asks as he lays you across the back seats of the Quinjet.
“No.” Natasha shakes her head. “Stay and help Barton.”
Steve doesn’t even try to argue. “We’ll find who did this, Nat. I promise.” He goes to the controls at the front and presses a few buttons. “The coordinates for the Tower are set. You’ll autopilot all the way there. Just make sure to update the medical team on Y/N’s condition.”
“Thanks, Steve.”
“Everything will be okay.” He places his hand on Natasha’s shoulder for a moment before jogging back to the ambulance. As soon as he’s off the Quinjet, the door raises shut and the engines blast on. You’re several states away from New York, but at the speeds the plane can travel, you should be there in minutes. You just have to hang on until then.
Natasha leaves your side only to grab more gauze, pressing it against your bullet wounds to slow the bleeding. She rolls you to your side so there’s no pressure on your front or back, but grimaces when she sees that your back looks as bad as your front.
“N-Nat,” you try whispering again, but she is quick to shush you.
“Not now, okay? Just stay awake for me, Y/N.”
You’ve never felt so weak before. It feels like you were hit by a bus and ground up by its tires. Your mind processes in slow-motion—probably a side effect of the blood loss—and you already forgot how you got into the Quinjet. But the physical pain isn’t your greatest concern anymore. You just don’t want to lose your fight and leave her.
Natasha fits an oxygen mask around your face and the cool air is comforting, but you know your time is ticking away. You don’t notice the Quinjet hiss to a landing or acknowledge the team of doctors suddenly hovering over you.
“We’ll do the surgery in room six!”
“Prep a blood transfusion!”
“Two gunshot wounds from a large-caliber gun!”
The doctors move you to a gurney and wheel you off the Quinjet. Natasha holds onto your hand as they take you to the surgery room, but a doctor stops her from entering with you.
“No, Romanoff. You gotta stay out here. We’ll take it from here.”
Natasha doesn’t fight back, letting your fingers slip through hers as you disappear behind the doors.
***********************************************************************
“Any updates?” Clint and Steve finally arrive a few hours later, but you’re still in surgery.
“Not yet.” Natasha paces the kitchen anxiously. Although she found the time to wash your blood off her hands and face, she hasn’t changed out of her uniform yet.
“Nat, you should get cleaned up. Y/N isn’t going anywhere,” Clint says.
“I know, I just…I want to be there when—” She can’t finish her sentence, falling into Clint’s arms and crying into his shoulder.
“Y/N is a fighter, remember?” Clint says, rubbing her back.
“But the amount of blood—”
“Super soldiers don’t go down easy,” Steve reminds her. “Y/N will pull through. And besides, you’ll be there to help with the recovery.”
Natasha nods, pulling away from Clint and wiping her face. “I’m sorry I froze when I saw Y/N get shot—”
“What are you apologizing for?” Clint asks.
“I don’t know—I put you all in danger because I couldn’t get myself out of the way—” she hiccups.
“You didn’t do anything wrong,” Steve assures. “In fact, you were the one who dragged Y/N to safety, remember? I couldn’t fit under the ambulance and Clint was just sitting around like a duck—”
“Excuse you,” Clint interrupts, and Natasha smiles thinly.
“So, did you find who did this?” she asks.
“Uh—” Clint and Steve look at each other awkwardly. “Natasha, we—”
“Did you find them?” Natasha repeats with more force. Clint motions for Steve to explain.
“That’s the thing,” Steve says. “We don’t know who did this. We scoped out the whole area with the police. We went out more than a mile, but we couldn’t find anything. No shell casings, nothing.”
“Oh, so you’re telling me a ghost shot and tried to kill Y/N?” Natasha scoffs.
“No, we…” Steve tries to find the right words. “We think it was a setup, maybe like a hired assassin or something.”
“Who would want to kill Y/N?” Natasha asks.
“That’s what we need to figure out.”
Natasha knows you have a lot of baggage from your past, particularly when you were forced into illegal covert operations by the government. But it’s been a long time since then. You became your own person and changed your life for the better. Unfortunately, not everyone sees the side of you that Natasha and the Avengers do.
When Clint and Steve leave to shower and change, Natasha finally does the same. She dresses in clean clothes and curls up on your shared bed, inhaling your scent through the pillow and blankets.
Sometime later, Clint visits and knocks on the door. “Hey, Nat? Y/N just got out of surgery—” He doesn’t even get a chance to finish his sentence and is almost run over by Natasha as she hurries over to the medical bay. She doesn’t know which specific room they’re keeping you in, but it’s like she’s drawn to your very presence and finds the correct one instantly.
You lie upright in the bed, propped forward with pillows so there’s less pressure on your back. Your right arm is in a sling and your entire torso is wrapped in bandages. An IV drip leads into the veins on your hand, while a blood pouch sends blood into the vein inside of your elbow. You have an oxygen tube up your nose and looped around your ears.
“I heard the doctor went a little overboard on the anesthesia,” Clint says from behind Natasha, startling her. “You know, with the super soldier serum and everything. Y/N will probably be out of it for a while.” Natasha walks to your side and kneels, gently taking your hand. Your skin is clammy and colder than normal, but your pulse beats strongly.
“I’ll be here as long as it takes.” Natasha raises your hand, mindful of the wires around your wrist, and kisses your fingers.

Y'all are responsive but I kinda panicked with the last one lol. I'm gonna have a post related to this the polls and their results. keep an eye out for that. Also I was planning on writing and posting some fanfics I had an idea about lately, I even prepared my main masterlist and a permanent taglist. Enjoy this chapter!
< threepointfive | masterlist | fourpointfive >
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The boys sat on their respective chairs at the studio where they were going to film their new music video for Butter with the other stylists, crew and their managers. Everyone was setting up their equipment and making sure that everything was ready before they started filming. I, on the other hand, was running around like a headless chicken asking the managers if anyone on set needed help to which I kept getting the same response to sit down or keep Jimin company. And that was what I was avoiding really. I needed to keep myself busy with something thing that didn't directly involve Jimin, reason being he looks so handsome with his new undercut, blonde hair and rainbow highlights. The time we went to the grocery and he had highlights was just a little trial period where he tried to see how he would look like if he dyed his platinum blonde, undercut-less hair with different colors eventually deciding that he wanted that to be his next look for Butter.
"Y/n-ssi?" I turn to the stylist that was calling my name, praying I wasn't being summoned by Jimin, "Yes?"
"Namjoon-ssi asked for you" that seemed worse, because Jimin didn't ask for me personally but they were sitting right next to each other. Walking up to the dressing room, I found something that I never thought I'd witnessed with my bare eyes.
"Oh dear God!" I exclaimed turning around covering my eyes and clearing my throat to somewhat mask my supposed yelp of surprise.
"Get used to it," Namjoon yells from inside the dressing room
"We need your help! One of the stylists weren't able to make it today, Jimin and Hobi need help, could you help Hobi need to be stopped from drinking more coffee, he's somehow being more hyper and Jimin needs help with his earrings, the stylist that's on her way has been looking for the earrings everywhere. Looks like we'll need someone to calm down Mochi."
"I'm fine!" Jimin yells, sounding muffled from somewhere in the room obviously sounding stressed.
"Y/n-ssi, help please." I hear Hobi call out, followed by Joon "Better get used to seeing us shirtless or for some of us, just our... underwear. When tour starts you'll be hearing Hobi brag about his really hot body," he mocks making Hobi giggle and Jungkook laugh.
Taking a deep breath, I close my eyes and wonder how I ended up in this predicament. Walking the room, most of the guys were getting in their clothes except for Jimin who's head was inside a luggage as he was searching for his earrings, Hobi, who were shirtless, Joon who was pulling up his pants - shirtless, Taehyung was tucking in his shirt in his pants, and the other members. who were sitting on their chairs with stylists doing their hair and makeup.
"He's not fine," Taehyung grins at me, cocking his head in Jimin's direction. Jimin was still rummaging through the luggage carefully but in a hurried manner, helping the other stylists who kept assuring him that they'll find it and that he didn't have to help which he kept ignoring. Walking over to him I place a hand gently on his shoulder as he moves around.
"Jimin-ah," I called out as I stop Hobi from taking another long sip from his iced Americano by gently prying it off his hand and quickly replacing it with a water bottle, "You're gonna be all sweaty before you could even start filming,"
"I'm just trying to help," he says "they're very organized it's impossible for them to misplace it."
"Who's not done yet?" their choreographer calls out, "we can start rehersals soon when you're all ready,"
"Jimin-ie is looking for his earrings, Give us a few minutes" Joon calls out to him before turning to Jimin and I "We'll wait for you outside, Jimin-ah"
Jimin finally looks up from the bag to nod at Joon before they left the room, "Can't you just wear those?" I ask pointing at the ones that were in its case on the dresser and he shakes his head "No, they said that's for later when I'm wearing the gray suit," I nod before asking him if he knew where the other stylist was and the others around us who were fixing his hair and make up were talking about how the others were checking other rooms making sure they didn't misplace it, other were double checking the cars.
"Can't you just wear another design?" he nodded before he looked longingly at the table "I can, but I can't help it. I was the one who brought it in and placed it on the table today. It's not their fault really, I just feel a bit out of it because I didn't sleep much last night."
"What time did you sleep?" I asked eyebrows furrowed as I lightly pull on his arm to make him stand up and led him to the chair, while his hair stylist hurriedly did her job.
"Three, maybe four AM?" he says sheepishly as he gives me a small smile. That meant he only had less than four hours of sleep.
"Jimin-ah, you knew you're filming today" I stared at him "I texted you last night to remind you but you just opened it and you didn't reply. Why didn't you sleep early?"
"I was ... preoccupied." he stuttered "I... I was busy"
"So that's why you skipped on us last night" Jin says grinning from the doorway "someone special over, huh?"
"Just... someone" Jimin's lips curl inward as if to stop himself from smiling.
"Oh," I stare at him for a second before looking away, avoiding the tugging feeling on my heartstrings "Oh, well, guess you were busy then," I muttered to myself staring at the floor wondering how I should get out of this conversation without looking like a wounded puppy.
"Well, I, uh..." I started to stutter before I was cut off
"We found it!" someone yelled from outside the room, one of the stylists came running in the room with a tiny box which I'm guessing contained the earrings Jimin was looking for. Placing the box on the dresser in front of him, he grabs it opening the box to reveal earrings. Smiling as he removes it from the box, Jimin carefully places it on his earlobes and I mutter "I'll be outside" which was drowned by the loud noise of the hair dryer.
Walking out of the dressing room, I bump into someone who was facing me standing next to a group.
"Oh" he gasps as we collide, lightly grabbing my arms to steady the both of us "Are you okay, Y/n?" I look up to see Taehyung looking at my face trying to gauge my reaction, Jungkook and Namjoon were next to him they suddenly turn around when my name was mentioned.
"I'm okay," I force a smile "I just need some fresh air, I'll be right outside"
"Y/n" I hear Namjoon call after me but he was called by their manager stopping him from following me. I continued walking towards the car where I spotted Jimin's driver and two of his security men.
"Oh!" the driver exclaims as he sees me headed to the car "Y/n-ssi, is there somewhere you need to go?"
"No, it's okay," I smile at him "I just need my backpack, I left it under the seat." He immediately opens the car and lets me retrieve my bag before closing it. When I headed the direction away from where the boys were recording he called me, "Y/n-ssi, where are you going?"
"I just need to get some air," I said turning back to him before walking away again
"We were assigned to follow you if you separate ways with Jimin-ssi," one of the guards say getting up from his chair.
"Please tell your boss, I can walk around alone without having you guys being bothered, besides all I'm going to do is head to the Museum and if one of you follow me, y'all aren't gonna like how I'm gonna react" I smile at them before bowing and quickly walking away from them.
I kept walking until I reached a bus stop, not knowing how to fully read the language except for very few words and locations, I pull out my phone to use google image translate and eventually I find out which bus to get on that was going to take me to the National Museum.
The museum was quiet expect for a few tourists that were quietly taking pictures, discussing art and others meeting up there just to walk around the place and talk. I was staring at an artifact when my phone started vibrating, pulling it out of my pocket I see Jimin's smiling face on my phone screen it was a picture that I took of him when we ate street food after he first introduced me to the other members and the staff. He was looking down at his food, happily picking a tteokbokki from his little plate to eat, wearing his beanie, dark green and brown jacket, puffy cheeks resting on his face mask. Contemplating on whether or not I should answer his call I sit on the bench next to the artifact.
Leaving the set was a bad idea and a reckless one too, but it was an emotionally impulsive one too. As I sat and waited for Jimin's angelic face to disappear from my phone's screen, I regretted leaving the set but at the same time I was embarrassed to walk back there as if I just went out to grab coffee and came back for nothing. I get up from my seat and slowly make my way towards the exit, deciding to take a walk instead of taking a bus back home relying on my virtual map. And if I ever run out of battery, Jimin's real paper map is sitting on a zipped pocket in my backpack.
Zooming out on the map I noticed a museum not too far from where I was, the Leeum Samsung Museum so walked towards it. Entering the building I kept walking until I reached a spiral stairway with walls that looked like tall windows. My phone vibrates as I kept walking around and every time I looked at my phone it was Jimin calling me.
I noticed the amount of people increasing as I spent more time in the Museum walking slowly. My phone vibrates once signaling me that it wasn't a call and my caller decided to give up, but the short buzzing doesn't stop. As I step out of the museum and finally decided to head back to the apartment, I take the bus that would pass a nearby street and watch building pass my line of sight. When I realized the short buzzing stopped for more than ten minutes, I pull my phone out of my coat to find 15 missed calls and 32 text messages that's when I noticed it has been hours since day one of filming Butter has ended, and they're all probably home by now.
Opening the missed calls most were from Jimin and there were a few from Namjoon. The texts were from them as well with a few from Hobi and Tae.
Taehyung:
Y/n-ssi?
Are you okay?
Where did you go?
Hobi:
Y/n, Jimin is looking for you. He doesn't look too happy.
Please come back. He looks really worried. He keeps walking back and forth in the room it's making me dizzy.
Jimin:
Y/n-ah, Taehyung said you left and went to the car.
Come back to the studio, it's really hot outside.
Y/n, our driver and security said you left, and that you told them to tell me that I shouldn't look for you. Where did you go?
Y/n, where are you?
Y/n, why aren't you answering your phone?
Please pick up, I'm worried about you.
Y/n. Please.
Y/n our driver told you went to a Museum, which one did you go to? Are you still there?
I went to the front desk and they checked security cameras. They said you left hours ago.
Y/n-ssi, where are you? Please come back home.
Namjoon:
Y/n, Jimin's looking for you. Please pick up the phone.
Where are you? We just finished filming, Jimin wouldn't stop asking me if I know where you are.
Y/n please don't tell Jimin, but Jin hyung and Yoongi hyung asked the company to put an emergency tracker on your phone (and other stuff) in case something wrong happens and we couldn't find you. Yoongi told me to tell you they're gonna turn the tracker on to find you if you're not found or home by midnight.
Btw Jimin doesn't know about the tracker thing, he thinks it's the Find my phone feature but it's not that.
Damn it, Y/n pick up. We checked the national museum earlier but they said you left early.
Jimin and Taehyung are driving around to find you. We didn't alert Hybe yet that we couldn't find you. Yoongi Hobi and JK are looking for you too. I'm outdoors as well with Jin hyung. Pick up the phone when we call you, please.
By the time I looked up from the messages, the bus was about to drop off passengers at parks by Han River. I automatically got up and let my feet take me to a bench by the river where I looked out at the view, hearing hushed conversations, laughter and a few squeals and happy giggles from children playing.
"This was a bad idea," I sighed "I should have said no," holding my head in my hands, I take a deep breath and close my eyes letting the fresh spring air wrap around me as some sort of comfort but all it did was make me want to cry. I should have said no and stayed at home. I should have declined the job offered. I wasn't fit to do my job as Park Jimin's emotional companion when at the same time I get easily affected by the thought of Jimin away both physically and emotionally. And it didn't help that I was the kind of person who'd get easily emotionally attached to someone like Jimin, making me a jealous girl. I wasn't fit to do this job.
My phone vibrating pulled me out of my thoughts making me want to haul it to the river. Namjoon was calling me, deciding it probably wouldn't hurt. I answer the call.
"Hey..."
"Oh dear God, finally!" Namjoon says with a sigh of relief, and I hear Jin in the background asking "Wh-what? Did she pick up?!"
"Yeah, she did," he tells Jin before his voice gets clearer "Please tell me you're safe and unharmed,"
"I'm fine, I just walked around," I sigh "I didn't think you guys needed me, especially Jimin. He was obviously doing better when I wasn't there."
"Y/n, he's not doing really great right now," he says "Taehyung is the one driving Jimin around because wouldn't stop worrying and freaking out,"
"Tell him to stop the search party," I tell him "I'm okay, I'm gonna go home in a bit anyways."
"If you think you could stop Jimin from looking for you, you're wrong" Namjoon explains "Jimin kept looking for you in between takes today, he kept telling us that he wanted to hang out with you after filming today and tomorrow because he said he think you're homesick,"
"I'm not homesick, Joon" he chuckles "You're a bad liar even over the phone,
Look," he says "just tell us where you are, so we'll pick you up and you could go back to the apartment,"
"I dunno, Joon," I sigh "I wanna go home by myself and take a day off tomorrow,"
"I don't think Jimin's gonna let you off tomorrow - he really wants you to be on set tomorrow,"
I stare at my surroundings noticing that the sun had already set and they sky was a mix of dark purple, fading pink and blue. I bit my lip wanting to cry and go home, but not back to the apartment... but home. Back home.
"Namjoon?"
"Yeah, y/n?"
"Do you think I did the right thing saying yes to this job?" I ask, tears pooling in my eyes
"Why would you think that?" he asks "You're doing everything right, just don't run off like that making him worry. He really cares about you and I don't think it's cool for you to just disappear and not answer calls, man." he huffs.
"I feel like I'm not fully capable of being an emotional companion for Jimin," I sniffle "I feel like I'm not fully qualified especially being just another fan who's not medically trained for this"
"Y/n," he starts "I'm gonna tell you something and you better listen good,"
I hear Jin speaking to Namjoon in the background and all I got was a soft warning of 'hajima' followed by a short silence before Namjoon continued, "you're not just another... fan to Jimin. You're much more than that. You're basically family, please remember that. You're important, very, very important to us especially to Jimin. So never think that you're just. Because you're not. If you were, why the hell would we not tell Hybe that we're running around like headless chickens the night before our last day of filming our next music video. You're not just Jimin's responsibility but ours too. Now tell me where you are or I'm telling Jimin that you decided to leave him and flew back to your home country without even saying goodbye - and that you never want to see him again." he threatens me in one breath being the rapper that he is.
I took a deep breath wondering if he was really going to do it, but knowing him he's gonna do everything to protect the other members. It was fully dark as I look around again, the moon was climbing higher in the night sky and the number of people were slowly increasing.
"Han River," I tell him "I'll send you my location,"
"Alright," Joonie says "Hang tight, we're headed your way once you send it. If you don't send it within the next five minutes, you know what's up."
"Okay..." I whisper as he hangs up. I send my location to him and he sends me a thumbs up emoji.
While I was waiting for Jin and Namjoon, I stayed on the bench looking around me as buildings opened up the lights to the front door of their establishments, pulling my mask down to my chin to be able to breathe the fresh air. Different colored lights made it look like a street of rainbows while street lamps looked like stars. And speaking of stars, I look up to see a few stars starting to peek out from the night sky. Right then, I started to wonder if there was a perfect spot for star gazing and my thoughts were interrupted by a voice calling my name.
"Y/n?" I look at the direction of the person talking not recognizing the man who was in his all black outfit- trench coat, ball cap and face mask were all black. Even the frame of his eyeglasses were black. I tilt my head as if to question the man when he pulls down his mask the same way I did and my eyes widen when I recognized him.
"Benji!" I exclaim as I walk up to him and wrap him in a big hug and he does the same.
"It's so good to see you, Y/n!" he laughs as he pulls away smiling and puts both hands on my shoulder "What brings you to Seoul? How long are you staying here? Where are you staying? Who are you staying with?"
"One at a time buddy," I giggle "I work here, so, yeah. I'm gonna be here for a while and I live alone."
"Woah," his eyes widen in awe "Where do you work? Do you think we could catch up with the good old days?"
"Yeah, we definitely could," I beamed "Oh work! I actually work at-"
"Y/n-ssi!" I hear voices call my name, one sounding very disappointed while the other three were loud enough as if to warn a child to keep their hand out of the cookie jar. I turn to see Jin, Namjoon and Taehyung headed towards me Jimin slowly walking behind them, the three men seemed to slow down when Jimin picked up speed to stand next to me, gently holding my hand and pulling me towards his body making Benji drop his hands from my shoulder immediately.
"I've been looking everywhere for you," he whispers tilting his head to the side, a trait of his that only makes an appearance when he's pissed or annoyed, or even disappointed, "I was really worried," He stops what he's saying and turns to look at Benji, as he says Hello and bows his head. Benji bows too and the other boys did the same.
Jimin looks between the two of us pointedly before asking "We're we interrupting something?" there was something about the way that he asked it that made it sound as if he was annoyed or irritated, but I brushed it off thinking he's probably just tired because of work and looking for me right after.
"Oh, no," Benji chuckles "I was just asking Y/n where she works now and if we could hang out like how we did a few years back?"
"You two know each other?" Taehyung asks to which Benji replies "Yes, we do. I was a transfer student when I first met her."
"Uh huh," Taehyung nods, slowly measuring up Benji "I see..." Namjoon and Jin slowly start doing the same thing, which was weird because Jimin started it.
"Well," Namjoon starts "So sorry to cut this short, but Y/n needs to report to her supervisor" Joon says, nodding at the other boys as if sending a signal.
"Supervisor?" Benji asks "But isn't it past working hours?"
"She's a personal assistant," Jimin says, sounding as if he was rolling his eyes "she reports even past work hours, and her work shift ends late."
"Oh, okay" Benji nods, playing along "I see"
"Yeah, so we have to leave because we've been looking everywhere for you" Jin says from behind Tae "The bosses said they're gonna come and get you if you don't get back in the office soon,"
As if right on queue behind Namjoon, Hobi appears calling out to me wearing everything... and I mean everything. Head to toe. Louis. Vuitton. Even from a distance, his look screamed 'expensive', even the air around him screamed 'expensive'. And he wasn't the only one. Yoongi and JK had the same aura.
"Ya~, Y/n!" Yoongi yells "I swear to God, Y/n-ssi! Why weren't you answering my phone calls?" he sounded bossy which has never happened, something was fishy. I pointedly look at all of them, except for Jimin who was burning holes on my face and his body heat was radiating off of me like an angry fire dragon about to blow fire at an intruder, said intruder being Benji.
"I can't believe, my Louis Vuitton slippers are walking in a public park just because my assistant is testing my patience," Hobi shakes his head dramatically "You're lucky I have a hangover, Y/n-ssi or I would've already fired you and had you deported"
"You should proably... go..." Benji trails off he says to me "We'll catch up next time," he reassures me.
"But how?" I ask.
"I work at a company not too far from here," he says "we could meet up some other time surely,"
"Alright," I sigh "I'll see you around,"
"Sorry for interrupting you two," "Yeah, sorry," Jin and Namjoon say to him and he says it's okay. I smile a little as he starts walking away after he says his goodbye and bows his head at the boys.
Once he was far away from us, I look at Hobi and Yoongi who were turning red. When they look at each other I heard a windshield wiper laugh followed by Hobi disappearing from my line of sigh as he falls to the concrete holding on JK's arm having the time of his life laughing happily.
"Guys, that felt rude," Jungkook says grinning "Especially you two hyung" he tells Hobi and Yoongi.
"It was but Jimin looked like he was about to punch the guy," Yoongi said chuckling "We came up with it as fast as we can but we were worried about Jin and Namjoon laughing, good thing they didn't. Taehyung too."
"He should thank Yoongi and Hobi hyung," Tae says "We just saved him from Park Jimin."
"I wasn't going to hurt him," Jimin says, back to sounding like an angel again
"Just a little, hyung?" Jungkook asks smiling making the other members chuckle.
"Maybe," Jimin whispers "depends," he looks down at our hands which I didn't notice were intertwined. He plays with my fingers a little before he unexpectedly pulls me in for a hug, wrapping his warm arms around me. Face buried in my hair. The laughter slowly stops as they all turn away and start heading to their cars.
"Be home before midnight, hyung!" Jungkook yells as they get in their cars, Taehyung hands Jimin's car keys to me and walks towards Jin's car, "Or our boss will lock the door," he yells followed by Hobi cackling.
Jimin pulls away and holds my face in his hands, slightly squishing my cheeks, "You're too cute for your own good," he says adorably, almost as if he was saying it to himself "I should keep you protected all times~"
"Don't act so innocent, Park Jimin!" I lightly hit his arm, he stares at me a bit longer
"I should say the same to you," he says seriously, his voice a bit deeper "You ran off and made me worry about you,
Did you run off to see him?" he asks
"What?! No!" I say a little too loud, taken aback "I just saw him minutes before you arrived-"
"Then why did you leave me?" he asks "Why did you leave without telling me where you were going? If all you wanted to do was go to a museum, we could have done that together after work just like how we'd hang out to eat street food. But not like that, Y/n-ah." He says trying so hard not to raise his voice "I was worried sick about you. You didn't answer my calls,"
"I didn't answer the other members too,"
"You answered Namjoon hyung," he points out "he forwarded your location to me because Tae and I were nearby. I was so relieved to know you were safe but I didn't know how or what to feel when I saw you,"
"What in the world do you mean?" I ask eyebrows furrowed "I was just talking to a friend,"
He sighs in defeat shaking his head, averting his eyes, "He better stay a friend, Y/n-ssi...He as to," he whispers to himself in satoori but I heard it and understood it because Jungkook was teaching me Busan satoori.
"What? What do you mean?" I ask again and he shakes his head
"Forget I said anything,. Don't worry about it," he says softly as he slowly lets go of me "Let's get you home." Once his hands weren't on me anymore it felt like I was a ship that lost it's anchor and I was slowly drifting away but I wanted my anchor back. He started to slowly walk towards the car stopping to look back at me, waiting. Slowly moving my feet, I walk to Jimin's car and let him drive me back to the apartment.
Once Jimin pulls up to the valet, I was about to get out when I look at him and decide I needed a time out from him after tonight's behaviour.
"Since you're usually... occupied or busy," I point out "I might not be there tomorrow morning, I'll text you if I change my mind and head there after lunch,"
"Y/n-ah, come on," he says almost like he was begging me to stop acting the way I was, "Please be there,"
"I can't think straight, Jimin-ah," I sigh exasperated "I'm living in a playground," I whisper to myself "Good night, Jimin-ah. Drive safe." I say to him as I get out from the car and into the building, thankful that I was lucky enough to catch the elevator before it closed.
When I got inside the apartment, I quickly open twitter and type my frustration out.
Y'all wanna know why our life is like a playground when it comes to unsure relationships? They all have one thing in common. Swings, seesaws, slides, damn it the whole play ground! We keep coming back for more. The first time we encounter the damn place we're excited and scared, but we keep going back there everytime! We play, we fall, we get hurt, and we get back up again only to have it repeat.
And somehow. Sometimes. The person who cause us pain are the ones playing with us. Even when we fully put our trust in them. We let them push us on the swing, we let them get on the opposite end of the seesaw, we go down the slide together, we play catch and get hurt by the same person. And yet... we keep coming back for more. Even though it already hurts and you want to stop playing around.
You end up trusting and loving that person, but in the end they leave you. Not letting you know if they'll see you again.
I throw my phone on the kitchen counter as I walked on my way to the couch muttering to myself, "I hate myself for falling for you. Why did it have to be me in this position? Why you? Of all people on earth, why did it have to be you? I'm not complaining, just questioning how absurd this is. Damn you, Park Jimin. Damn you and your warm hands and you pretty eyes and your pillowy kissable lips and your sweet voice and your kindness. Damn you. I love you, but damn you."
My phone vibrates from the counter making me groan out loud before sulking and standing up. Seeing that it was a text notification from Jimin, I wanted to pretend I was asleep and not open it but I was too curious.
Jimin:
My life is a playground too, but you have my word that you'll see me tomorrow and days after that. I'll see you tomorrow. Sweet dreams.
Hello, how are you today? Remember to drink water if you haven’t already! 💛
if you are okay with it and feel comfortable writing it. (also no rush at all, I get it’s exams week and stuff) but could I request some fluff head cannons with Hitoshi Shinso and Shoto Todoroki (separately) with an s/o who is sick with like a stomach virus or food poisoning. Them maybe comforting the s/o or something? Idk, you do whatever you feel best.
I’m sick right now and currently feel like trash so some fluff would be nice. Also, just love your writing!! 💞 hope you have a good day/night
their s/o contracted a stomach virus
character(s) : todoroki shouto, shinsou hitoshi (bnha)
legend : [Y/N = your name] gender neutral, quirk not mentioned
headcanon type : fluff, comfort (x reader)
note(s) : ahh i know what that feels like and thats why i avoid eating out alot, since my stomach starts aching really quickly, even if i JUST ate :( anyways, thank you for waiting! the last week of school was really busy for me today, i spent the entire day filming my project 💀 also, theres not that many nuances here, so i hope that’s okay
Tumblr media
todoroki shouto
i can’t really say that shouto would know what to do at first, since shouto almost never gets sick
maybe a few times during his childhood, and during that ONE occasion when he was 12, he tried making soba— when he didn’t know how to
besides the point, man stays healthy; in topic condition. it’s important, if you’re training to be a hero.
so, when he finds out that you contracted a stomach virus / food poisoning, he doesn’t exactly know what to do
sure yeah, he could visit you for emotional support— but he wants to help you feel better.
it wasn’t like period cramps (if you get those)— he has heard that heat can help you cope with those, and he could always help with his left side
in actuality, food poisoning / stomach viruses are nowhere near that💀
you were nauseous, practically camping in the bathroom— since whenever you’d try to get up, and do your tasks for the day
you’d feel a sense of dread in your stomach, and you’d bolt back to the bathroom.
really, shouto hates seeing you like that, looking like death knocked on your window that very morning— skin burning to the touch, even though you felt cold
so, what does shouto do? he goes to fuyumi— since she has helped natsuo get over a case of food poisoning on two separate occasions.
she, luckily has all the remedies available, but still recommends that he should take you to a doctor, if you don’t feel any better.
he returns with water, and an electrolyte solution— and helps you take them, even going far as to fetching a straw for you
holds your hair back when you need to puke, if you have short hair— he’ll make sure to remove everything that’s obstructing your way
carries you back to bed, since you can’t walk without being nauseous. but, if you want to stay in the bathroom, he doesn’t mind
he’ll just bring pillows and blankets to the bathroom. an easy fix!
the class notices that shouto’s been in and out throughout the entire day, and they secretly wonder if he’s a part time nurse 💀
shouto disagrees, saying he’s just caring for his sick s/o, and wishes everything for them to be well again (which makes all of them aww)
bonus : bakugou throws a specific broth recipe at shouto, when shouto came to him for a recipe (since you were feeling a bit better, thanks to him)
the blond stating that “if you’re gonna give them broth, make sure you don’t fucking food poison them again. i won’t be responsible if that idiot doesn’t come to school for a month.”
Tumblr media
shinsou hitoshi
frowns when he sees that you’re not present at homeroom— let alone when you don’t give him a heads up on your absence.
he doesn’t think too much of it at first, thinking that he’d just visit you during lunch
oh, and speaking of lunch— there was a sudden wave of UA students that contracted food poisoning / stomach viruses, after a substitute cook cooked for yesterday’s lunch
and because of that thought, it suddenly dawned onto him that you might be sick too
when the second period ends, hitoshi excuses himself to the bathroom, and RUNS to the dorms— absolutely worried for you
when he goes to your dorm, his suspicions were proven to be correct.
looking ill is an understatement, you’re half dressed in your uniform, and completely passed out on the floor— skin slick with sweat
“Y/N?” he calls out, absolutely concerned — which is given, considering your state at the moment
“are you sick? what happened?” he nudges you awake, not exactly sure of the severity of your state.
and when you’re awoken from your sleep, you bolt to the bathroom— falling onto the bathroom floor as you throw up
hitoshi stands near the door way, slightly wincing at your gagging— his heart clenches at the sight of your pain
hitoshi, finally deciding to do something, approaches you “it’s okay,” he comforts, his gentle hands brush against your back
and it feels like a while before it finally stops, and he grabs some tissues when you flush the toilet
“on a scale of 1-10, how sick do you feel?”
“12.”
alarmed by your answer, he momentarily leaves to fetch you some water— going as fast as he could
he comes back, and helps you drink water— and he figures that he should help you get into something more comfortable
of course, his thought process is cut off when you start feeling nauseous again— and the idea of brainwashing the pain away comes into his mind
but of course, it doesn’t work that way. because the sickness would come back if he switched off his quirk
after helping you into comfier clothes, this is when he decides to get recovery girl (who has been busy, considering the wave of sick students that were ill)
who, luckily— managed to make some time for you, which he will be grateful for.
will wipe the remains of your throw up off your mouth, the idea of it being gross doesn’t bother him in the slightest
and he’ll clean your mess if you accidentally get some on the floor— yeah. man doesn’t care at all
though he can’t brainwash the pain away, he will brainwash you to sleep, or take the electrolytes prescribed to you if you hate the taste
hitoshi didn’t care that he had aizawa questioning his whereabouts during the second period, since he was doing everything to make you feel better
and he most definitely didn’t mind babying you so,, he’s less than peeved
when you do feel better, he will tease you about how you were relying on him the entire time.
but the insomniac here would do it again in a heartbeat <3
When they like the same girl
Note: I really like this :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bakugou would be shocked when Kirishima made him realize that he was crushing on you really hard. He just couldn’t help it. Your personality was on point and you were cute too, you didn’t mind that he was an angry Boi and that is what he loved about you. You respected everyone’s personality and interest. Basically you got him HOOKED around your finger.
Everything was going well until that half and half bastard was looking you like a sick puppy in love. “OH HELL NO! I’M NOT LOSING TO THAT ICI-HOT BASTARD!”
It was a war now.
When he noticed that you liked a certain food boom he invited you to his house and surprised you with a big ass buffet just for you. He gets so damm happy knowing that you love his cooking instead of eating cold soba with ici-hot. “Tch, that is a win for me”
He gets extremely jealous when he sees you giggling with Todoroki instead of him. He literally drags you away from him telling you “remember that you are having trouble with math, let me tutor you dumbass.” He is the best tutor. He even tries to stay calm not to scare you away. At the end of the session you are now Albert Einstein :)
There is always a small fight when the two boys want to walk you to your home. Bakugou insist of carrying your bag while he glares at Shoto’s back. After ensuring that you made it home safely he makes sure to get his thoughts out. “Oi half and half, she is going to be mine so get out of the way you little bastard” Todoroki wants to avoid a fight in front of your house so he keeps things chill “that is up to Y/N to choose who she likes more but I am sure she likes me more since I don’t have anger issues” (Bakugou forgets that Deku and Ochako have been teaching him how to roast,lmfao)
Something that would definitely starts to get in the blondes nerves is when you started calling Todoroki by his first name. He just needs to change the “Oh Shoto good morning” to “morning Katsuki” Yup he definitely managed to get to hear your angelic voice saying that in the morning.talking about morning, he is the type to see at what time you get to class so he gets to walk into U.A with you and get some minutes with you alone.
Hagakure is always peeking on your shoulder to see who you will pick, this girl just wants to be you ok? Instantly you become the Heather of the school.
Now if there is the smallest chance of practicing fight against another classmate Bakugou will make sure he gets his way to be with Todoroki. His plan is to destroy him hoping to prove to you that he is stronger and better as a hero. Aizawa doesn’t care that they are booth beating the crap of their asses, it makes them stronger as hero’s so it’s all good. His plan failed when he somehow blew the pretty boy to hell and there you were rushing to Todoroki’s side to take care of him, how nice. He clenches his fist even tighter when you have Todoroki pressed against your chest as you wait for recovery girl to come :)Todoroki takes this chance to bond with you and get all your attention.
After making sure that he landed his worst enemy on the nurses bed and you are relieved that he is going to be ok he makes his final move. He makes sure that you have his attention full on him before he quickly place’s a peck on your check and whispered something that made your cheeks heat up. “Look dumbass, I want to be more than friends, ok?”
It’s up to you Now if you want to fill up a heart with joy or to shatter one to pieces since the second heart that is fighting for your love followed you all the way to the park hoping to catch up with you. So what will you do?
Tumblr media
I will be giving credits to Deku and Ochako for helping the boy to realize that he has a crush on you and it isn’t a small one. Like I mentioned earlier he always has a small smile on his face when he is with you, some gorgeous puppy eyes just begging for your attention and he follows you like a lost puppy! He is a simp for you even before you start dating :)
It soon began to be a normal thing for Todoroki to share his lunch with you. He always leaves you a bit of his beloved cold soba hopping that you eat it before Bakugou drags you away from him. Talking about lunch the two boys fight for you to either eat lunch with the Deku-squad or the Baku-squad. So you decided to sit one day with each one since you have so much fun with them.
He gets you all the things you want like literally Endevor is getting concern on why his son is buying so many clothes and sweets. He talkes you to the finest mall you have on your area and he doesn’t care that you take 3 hours to only get 1 dress. He just wants to make you happy ok? Absolutely lives for spoiling you to death.
I feel like once he is getting used to you giving him thank you hugs he will crave for your touch 24/7. For some reason he will awkwardly get closer to you and that is his language to ask for a hug.If the class is traveling from the main building to USJ he will make sure that he gets to seat next to you. After training hard he is tiered so you tilt his head so it’s resting on your shoulder as you slowly watch him fall asleep, might as well join him.Bakugou catches a sight of you two napping together and his palms start to fume, cue Kirishima trying to calm him down before he explodes the bus.
Since Bakugou steals you away from him since apparently you need “tutoring for maths” he dose the same thing when you are talking to him,lol. He takes that chance to help you out on hero training. He helps you out with your technique, developing your quick you name it he is working on it with you. He takes this as bonding time with you and after training it’s tradition for you to get soba.
He loves you so much that he feels comfortable talking about you with his mom. Like he goes to visit her and he just straight up talks about how amazing you are for hours and hours until his mother brings up “You really like her Shoto don’t you?” He makes a mind note to ask you out soon so his mother can meet the love of his life in person.
Since it was normal for the two boys to walk you home Shoto came up with the best plan to ask you out. He made sure to leave Bakugou’s hero costume completely destroyed but like almost naked so he needed Hatsume to make improvements to his costume. Taking that opportunity to give you a letter that he wrote himself. “Could this really be it you asked yourself?” After saying goodbye you started reading the latter and you were left in tears, you could believe that someone could love you that much??
You have the world in your hands right now, it’s a matter of time before you have to breaks someone heart.
Buddie #1
There is not a bone in my body that can accept that in any other universe they wouldn't be perfect together. Post 4x14 so SPOILERS for that. This got so much longer than I thought it would be. Sorry in advance, there's much more under the cut.
· Eddie tells him about the will. Chris goes to Buck if anything happens to Eddie. Which it very nearly did.
· It causes Buck to actually stop and think things through before rushing into danger.
· The rest of the team question it while Eddie's recovering but he just says there's someone relying on him now.
· They take it to mean Taylor - well Chimney and Albert do, Hen and Bobby are more clued in.
· Buck talks about Eddie and Chris like he did when they quarantined together - like they're living together again.
· They are.
· Buck moved in to help Eddie and his recovery, with Ana stepping in when he was on shifts - even if she tended to undo everything Buck had done.
· He tells himself it's because she's not used to the way he and Eddie do things - yes that one singular bowl and plate live in the lower cupboard, it's so Eddie can reach them easily. Chris always picks the movie on movie nights, Eddie and Buck alternate when he's gone to bed.
· Eddie is stubborn as always, but has managed to allow Buck to help him dress and shower - Ana is very much not allowed, despite her protests they're barely in a relationship.
· Eddie explains to Buck that yes, they've been together for six months but they've not really been togetherand he quietly admits that he regrets telling Chris so soon.
· Buck calms him and says that it was right to introduce Chris to the idea of Eddie dating, but yeah, maybe it wasn't smart to spring Ana on him so early - especially because she decided she had to be a bigger part of his life now he was aware.
· Chris manages to get to the station once while Buck is on shift.
· Buck comes back to Albert making him pancakes and Chris scribbling with the things they keep for the school trips.
· 'What are you doing here, bud? Does your dad know?'
· 'Kinda.'
· 'What does kinda mean here?'
· 'He knows I wanted to see you. I don't think he knows that I came here.'
· Albert quickly jumps in saying he's texted Eddie and he and Carla are on their way, it just happens that the rig got back before they got there.
· Buck sits down with Chris, leaning his head on his arms and looks at the picture. It's him, Eddie and Buck with Carla and her husband in the background.
· 'What's wrong, Chris?'
· 'Ana.'
· 'Ok, what did she do?'
· 'Tried to get me to bath before I ate and then said I had to do my homework before TV time.'
· 'Buddy, you always have to do your homework before TV time.'
· 'But she tried to help me.'
· 'Your dad and I try our best to help you. She's a teacher, she's better use than us.'
· 'No that's not it.'
· Chris has tears in his eyes and a death grip on his crayon.
· 'She told the poor boy his handwriting was ineligible and took his pencil, tried to get him to tell her the answers and that she would write them for him.' Carla sighs.
· She stands with her arms open and Chris runs into them. Eddie looms behind them, looking sad.
· Well, neutral really, but Buck knows his micro expressions well enough.
· After that Ana is banned from the house in the afternoons/evenings and Carla steps back in. The new problem is Ana turning up when Buck has days off - their schedule was she was here when Buck wasn't, for multiple reasons.
· Ana's great, there's just something about her that Buck doesn't like and she definitely doesn't like Buck. Maybe it's because they're just opposites.
· Eddie tries to gently tell her that he barely gets to see Buck anymore and he needs it for his mental health. Ana starts pestering about the fact that he should want to see his girlfriend more than his best friend.
· It's one of their biggest fights and turns into a screaming match one night (Chris is at Hen's with Denny but Buck is hiding away in the guest room) where Eddie shouts that she had decided that she was his girlfriend without asking Eddie if that was what he wanted and she was suffocating.
· She leaves pretty quickly after that and Buck is incredibly happy as their paths never cross again.
· There's an emptiness settling in his chest when he finds out that the two are still together and are treating the relationship as though they're just dating again. He hates that he really doesn't like the idea that it's working out now that they're on even footing.
· He decides to push it away and starts getting reckless again. Taylor's hanging around the station more like she wants more from Buck, but he'd given up. She liked being chased and now that he's tired of it, she wants him. He knows she'll get bored if he shows interest again.
· It's interest he doesn't have. Eddie had called him Evan and told him he deserved more. How was he supposed to go back to normal after that?
· Why doesn't Eddie see how life changing that was?
· Eddie does. But in typical Eddie fashion, he pushes it deep down and replaces it with his content being with Ana. She makes his parents happy, which makes him happy. She gets along with Pepa and Isabel and his sisters, but they act a lot more familial with Buck.
· It makes sense, he tells himself - they've had years with Buck.
· Nothing really changes for Buck until TK and Judd find themselves in LA. Buck hastily explains to TK that he wasn't asking him out back in Austin, he just wanted a friend and really he wasn't attracted to guys.
· TK just straight up laughs at Buck.
· 'Buckley, you checked me, Carlos, and the barista out in the span of like five minutes. You're a little attracted to guys.'
· 'Wait, you mean you and Diaz ain't datin'?'
· Judd's question throws Buck through a loop.
· 'What? No...we're just...we're friends. Best friends.'
· TK laughs again, patting Buck on the shoulder.
· Once they're on their last day, TK takes Buck out for a drink like he'd promised. Buck tries to ignore the fact he's brought him to a gay bar.
· He gets hit on at least three times in an hour, not to mention the building collection of beers for both him and TK and he decides he doesn't actually mind it.
· 'Ok, I want you to do something for me. Scan the crowd and pick a guy, any guy, and tell me what you find attractive about him.'
· Buck picks out a shorter man, tanned skin and dark hair.
· 'He's got a cute smile.'
· 'Oh boy, you have a type.'
· 'Huh?'
· 'He looks like Eddie.'
· And he does. Like a Walmart version of Eddie though. He didn't laugh like Eddie, didn't have the same laugh lines. Or frown lines. His eyes weren't as warm when he met Buck's nor did he smile as fondly. And...
· 'Fuck.'
· 'You just now realizing your feelings for him?'
· 'Yeah. How did I not know?'
· 'Honestly, it was probably such a subtle shift. From what you've told me you've basically been a couple for a year and a half, so you didn't realize anything had changed for you.'
· 'I've never denied it.'
· 'I mean you clearly must have.'
· 'No. I meant that there have been so many times people assumed Eddie and I were a couple and I never denied it, I went along with it all.'
· 'Shit man, you had it bad before you even realized.'
· Buck groans as TK throws an arm around him, leaning against his shoulder.
· Things change after that. Buck is hesitant with physical touch with Eddie - it's his main love language and he needs to make sure he's not overdoing it and making Eddie uncomfortable.
· Eddie notices because of course, he does. Buck has pulled away from him for seemingly no reason. The second Eddie can dress, shower, and reach the high cabinets himself Buck is talking about going home.
· He is home.
· Eddie doesn't say it, he just hums, not really agreeing. He's gotten used to Buck being around and so has Chris. They'd easily fallen back into their quarantine routine and now Buck would be leaving again.
· A quick thought of getting shot again fills Eddie's head. Though this time it's nothing to do with his PTSD and more so that he doesn't want Buck to leave. So he exaggerates just a little.
· 'You know, my PTSD is still acting up. Maybe, you could stay until it balances out a little?'
· 'You'd want me to?'
· 'Yeah, you're great at getting me out and calming me and Christopher down.'
· 'You don't think Ana should start taking up some night shifts?'
· 'I don't really want her to deal with that side of me yet.'
· 'Okay.'
· 'Okay?'
· 'Yeah, I'll stay.'
· Eddie keeps an eye on Buck just as much as he keeps an eye on Eddie. He quickly realizes that Buck is holding in his own troubles. He knows from experience that Buck does not think his problems are anywhere near as bad as everyone else's. He has a lot of unlearning to do.
· Subtly, Eddie starts talking to him about his mental state, his worries, trying to let Buck know it's ok to do the same.
· When he and Ana inevitably break up not even a month later, it's Buck that he tells first.
· Buck, who has his back.
· Buck, who loves Christopher as his own.
· Buck, who is insecure about everything he does except saving people.
· Buck, who thinks he is unworthy and undeserving of love.
· Buck, who shows his love through acts of kindness and physical affection.
· Buck, who Eddie is so unapologetically in love with and probably has been for years.
· The revelation doesn't shock him like he thought it would. More so, it was a natural progression of their relationship.
· Friends. Best friends. Co-parents. Co-habiting. Partners. Partners.
· Eddie sees a future with Buck, a future he'd only ever seen with Shannon but it's so much brighter.
· He comes home from his first shift back - Buck wasn't working and offered to look after Christopher so Eddie knew he was safe - to find Buck on the couch, staring into an empty beer bottle.
· 'Hey?' it's broken and Eddie drops his things to rush over to him.
· 'You good?'
· 'No. I'm not.'
· Buck looks up, tears in his eyes, cheeks red and puffy.
· 'What's going on, Evan?'
· That's all it takes. He breaks. He babbles about watching Eddie die over and over in his dreams. How sometimes the shower will splash his face just so and he's thrown back with Eddie's blood on his face. How he was trying to get through it with Dr. Copeland but it wasn't helping.
· Nothing was helping.
· 'It's ok. I'm here, I'm okay.'
· 'You weren't. You died, Eds. You died on me.'
· 'You saved me.'
· 'What if I hadn't? I don't know a life without you anymore. I can't lose another person I love.'
· 'You love me?'
· 'Of course I do. Why wouldn't I?'
· Buck registers his words, quickly backing away from Eddie and tries to make a break for the open door. Eddie isn't letting him run away anymore. His wrist snakes around Buck's.
· 'Evan. I told you there wasn't anyone else I'd want to look after Christ. I told you you weren't expendable. I said that because I love you and you needed to hear it. You had to learn you deserved love. Love that Chris shows you. Love that I can show you. I love you so much, Evan Buckley.'
· Buck crumples in Eddie's arms, Eddie rocks him gently until the sobs subside.
· It's not an immediate or obvious change. There are still things the two need to work through.
· It's different but the same. There's more contact now; hugs, tactile hands on waists, and backs at work. Kisses in the bunk, soft and slow.
· It's new and exciting. Especially when they finally get together, officially and exclusively.
· Chris loves telling everyone about his two dads.
· Eddie and Buck are happier, closer.
· Buck had always been a Diaz. He'd always had a family who loved him. The big change was he got to love them both endlessly in return.
Chapter two- You’re my Queen
“I want to know everything about Y/N.”
Bucky demanded when he got home from the night at the club. He stood in his office with his close circle. He couldn’t get Y/N off his mind. He wanted her, he needed her. She was intoxicating to him. Y/N was the woman Bucky needed at his side and in his bed.
Tony nodded to Bucky, standing a little further back in the room. He was all about the technology and security when it came to Bucky’s business. He promptly left the room to go dig up everything on Y/N he could.
It didn’t take long for Tony to dig up all the dirt on Y/N and she had quite the history. He came back into Bucky’s office where everybody had cleared out except for Bucky and Steve who were waiting for information. Tony took a seat on the opposite side of Bucky’s desk, placing a large stack of papers on his desk, “That’s everything.” He said.
Steve grabbed the few of papers, scanning through them, “How have we never heard of her before?” He questioned, his eyes flickering to Tony before back to the papers in hand. As he finished reading them, he passed them to Bucky to look over, “Everywhere she goes, death seems to follow. She’s a big player.”
Bucky looked at the papers with a small smile at the pictures that had come up. Some were mug shots of Y/N smiling with a darkness in her eyes that he admired. She had been in and out of juvie in her teen years for arson and illegal firearms and arrested for charges that were eventually dropped. He flicked the pages, seeing her in a white dress with a man standing next to her. The image made him frown and his jaw clench, “She was married?” He questioned through his teeth, tearing the page Steve was reading away from him.
“Yeah, she was married.” Steve said, “Emphasis on the was. She killed him but it wasn’t charged due to it being self defense.” His brow furrowed as he looked at the paper, it was a medical report for Y/N from the night she had killed her husband. The pictures in the medical report showed Y/N beat up and unconscious in an ICU, “His name was Johann Schmidt. He was a big player when it came to guns, shipping out of Germany.”
Tony nodded, “From what I could find, it looks like Schmidt and Y/N had an arranged marriage to create a larger gun business between their families. When Y/N didn’t back off from guns and let him take control, he did that to her.” He said as he gestured his hand to the paper in Steve’s hands.
Bucky stood, reaching over his desk and took the medical reports from Steve’s hand, scanning them over, “Sternal fractures as well as four adjacent rib fractures that coincide with at least two CPR attempts upon arrival of paramedics… Broken orbital bone with superficial lacerations to the face and bruising to the abdomen…” He read out-loud, “Gun shot wound to the chest, bullet grazed left ventricle. Coded on table during surgery to repair the ventricle and remove the bullet. Patient was able to be resuscitated during surgery and is expected to make full recovery…” He paused as he studied the picture of Y/N then placed the medical report down and grabbing the police report from the incident, “Victim states she got in a fight with her husband. He punched and kicked her then held her underwater in the bathtub until she was unconscious. When she awoke, her husband was performing CPR. Victim states he then punched her a few more times before holding her down in the water again. Her spouse again resuscitated her using CPR and argued with her before standing and shooting her in the chest. Victim remembers pulling another gun that was hidden around his ankle and firing it at her husband before calling 911. Paramedics declared Schmidt dead at the scene. Victim denies wanting to talk about the argument which lead to the incident after regaining consciousness at the hospital.” Bucky’s frowned deepened as he read the report alive. If Schmidt wasn’t dead, Bucky would have done everything in his power to find and kill him for Y/N.
Steve had picked up more pieces of paper as he listed to Bucky read the medical and police report, “She’s definitely a fighter.” He said softly, “She had been charged for 23 counts of battery and assault but all charges were dropped within days of the police reports. Oh, and she remarried five years ago, ratted on her husband to the DEA causing him to get 56 years in prison for gun running, and then divorced him the moment he started serving his sentence. He was then killed his second day serving his sentence in prison.” Steve was already holding the paper out to Bucky so it didn’t have to get ripped away again, which it did, “You sure you want to get in bed with this woman? Y/N killed one husband then ratted on the other and got him thrown in jail and probably put the hit out on him. What if she’s playing us?”
Bucky was looking over the paper he had snatched from Steve’s hand, listening as his right hand spoke. He put the paper down and leaned his fists on his desk, a small grin coming across his lips, “Then I’ll just have to be the better player.” He said simply, his eyes darkening, “Y/N will be my Queen. She craves power and I can give her everything.”
The next day, Bucky laid in bed. It was about four in the afternoon and he was getting some much needed sleep after the opening of his club and reading through all of Y/N’s files. He had found himself some platinum blonde woman in the early morning hours who one of his men had brought back and took her to his room. He had fucked her senseless but he wasn’t fulfilled, he was wishing it was Y/N beneath him the whole time. He pictured how she would look, even groaning out Y/N’s name a few times during the act.
Y/N looked up at Bucky’s large mansion as she approached the large double doors. She had been here before with Steve when Bucky was out doing business and knew the layout from snooping around. She knew exactly where to find the King. Y/N was wearing a short navy blue dress with a black leather vest over it and black heels. She was followed by a shorter red head. “Natasha, keep Stevie blue eyes distracted, I have some things to sort out with the King. Everything going good?” Y/N asked looking over at the red head as they walked up the steps to the door.
The red head named Natasha nodded, “Yup, everything is all lined up. Clint and Scott will keep them in the car until you’re ready.” She responded. Natasha was Y/N’s second in command. A skilled assassin that Y/N had met and brought to work for her years ago to help build her empire.
“Good.” Y/N said as she rang the doorbell. The door opened a few moments later with Steve looking at the two. Y/N smiled, stepping forward past him into the home, “Hiya, pretty boy. Meet Natasha.” She said nodding towards the red head who was close behind her.
Natasha smiled at Steve, following Y/N in immediately. As soon as Steve shut the door, Natasha pushed him up against it and rubbed her leg up Steve’s while Y/N slipped away up the stairs.
Y/N walked down the hallways, knowing exactly where she was headed. She opens the room to Bucky’s door, tilting her head as she saw him sleeping naked beneath a thin gold sheet. Then her eyes rested on the blonde next to him. She walks over, grabbing the blonde by the hair until she was out of the bed staring wide eyed at her, “Well aren’t you a pretty thing.” Y/N said to the woman, “Let’s fix that a bit.” She said and slammed the woman head first into the bedside table.
“Oh my god! Who are you?” The blonde whimpered as she covered her now broken nose, blood slipping between her fingers.
Y/N smiled at the woman, “I’m the Queen. Now get out before I ruin the rest of your face.” She demanded, her eyes darkening at the threat. Y/N watched the woman run out of the room, shutting the door behind her before looking to Bucky who was now awake watching her with a grin plastered on his lips.
Bucky had awoken by the loud slam when Y/N had slammed the woman’s face into the bedside table, watching the ordeal unfold with an eyebrow raised and a grin on his lips. Was Y/N jealous of the blonde being in his bed? Bucky ran his eyes up and down Y/N’s figure, noticing a scar peaking out from between her breasts but hidden by the rest her dress. He was licking his lips as his gaze floated down her figure, fixating at the short hem of the dark dress on her thighs. He moved his hands to rest behind his head, waiting until the woman had left the room before speaking to Y/N, “Afternoon, doll. What do I owe the pleasure?”
Y/N smiled down at him, climbing onto the bed and straddling his chest. She slowly ran her fingers along his perfect figure, “Well, you see James, I called Stevie blue eyes earlier and he said he couldn’t be my plaything anymore. King’s orders.” She said down to him. Y/N couldn’t deny the way Bucky made her feel. He sent ripples of warmth up her body, especially seeing him below her as she straddled his chest. And that chest… yum. He was tanned and muscular, chiseled to perfection, “And if you take away my toys, I break yours.”
Bucky’s grin widened as she moved onto his bare chest. He could feel her bare thighs beneath her dress and the lace of her underwear against his skin. Y/N was hot, demanded his attention as only a queen could. He moves his hands from behind his head to rest on her knees, slowly sneaking their way up her dress. Bucky could feel a gun on her upper thigh hidden beneath her dress but allowed his hands to slip past it until they rested on her waist, gripping at the straps of the panties. He licks his lips at the view of her on top of him. The only way this could be better is if Y/N was naked and bouncing on top of him.
Y/N could see the lust growing in Bucky’s eyes which made her smirk down at him, “And my second in command set up a system to alert me when anybody was digging into my life. And it seems that you wanted to know more about me but didn’t bother to ask.” She said softly, leaning down and brushing her lips along his bare shoulder, leaving small kisses on his warm skin.
Bucky clenched his jaw at her kisses on his shoulder. She was teasing him, intoxicating him with ever touch. He could feel himself growing hard beneath the thin sheet, “First, call me Bucky. And second, you didn’t exactly give me a way to contact you, darlin, otherwise I would’ve asked.” He chuckles lustfully. He wanted to rip Y/N’s clothes off and take her right then, but as if she knew his plan, she slipped off his chest still smiling at him as she stood. He frowned a little at her.
Y/N stood at his bedside, running her eyes along his body and tilting her head with a triumphant grin as she noticed the sheet tenting from his hard cock, “Get dressed. I got you a present outside that I think you’ll like. We can get back to this after.” She instructed with a grin, turning and leaving him alone in the room. As much as Y/N wanted Bucky, she loved the way he looked when she teased him. She walked down the stairs, tilting her head as she saw Natasha on Steve’s lap giggling, “C’mon Nat. We gotta unload the car.” She said with a smile and turning towards the front door. Natasha slid off of Steve’s lap, following quickly.
Bucky groaned in frustration. He wanted Y/N. Every cell in his body told him to rip off her clothes and claim her as his. He wanted to hold her down on his bed and show her how powerful he was. He wanted to hear her scream his name as he devoured her. Bucky pulled himself out of bed and quickly puts on some clothes before walking out of his room and down the stairs. He looked overs at Steve, noticing small red lipstick stains on the collar of his shirt, “I thought I told you to stay away from her.” He growled, thinking the stains came from Y/N
Steve held his hands up, “Y/N brought a friend.” He informed, not wanting to be on Bucky’s bad side, “They went outside.” He said as he stood, walking over to the front door and opening it for Bucky.
Bucky’s jealousy faded away as he was informed the lipstick wasn’t from Y/N. He walks out the door that was held open to be met with the sight of Y/N, her redheaded friend, and two large males dressed in all black that he assumed were Y/N’s bodyguards. In front of them were three people with hoods on their heads, hands bound behind their backs, “What’s this, Y/N?” He asks her, a small grin appearing on his lips from curiosity.
Y/N smiled at him, “My present to you. As I told you before, I have been watching you for a while. I know your biggest competition is the organization known as Hydra ran by Baron Zemo.” She said, walking to the hooded figures and pulling the hoods of off them one by one, revealing three of Zemo’s men. One being Zemo’s right hand, “When I took over Rumlow’s business, I found out that you weren’t the only one he was selling his guns too. Did you know he was giving the majority to Zemo? Trying to help him take over your territory?”
Bucky walked closer to the men on their knees, listening to the words Y/N said. He was a little shocked at the information that Rumlow was double crossing him, he hadn’t expected that. He looked down at the faces of the men before returning his eyes to Y/N, smiling a little at her present. She was one step ahead and could take care of herself. He couldn’t help but feel himself be more attracted to Y/N at this power play. She truly was a queen, and here she was, presenting a gift for her king.
Y/N walked around from behind the captive men to stand by Bucky, looking down at them on their knees in front of her. She leans down in front of one of them, a smile on her lips, “I know you know who Mr. Barnes is. But do you know who I am?” She asks.
The man glared up at Bucky for a moment before looking to Y/N, “Are you his whore?” He spat out at her, looking her up and down with a small lick of his lips.
Bucky’s face twisted with anger at the mans words towards Y/N, pulling the man to his feet and landing hard blows with his fist to the man’s face. Bucky’s rings cut through flesh like knives, leaving the man a bloody mess on the ground when he was finished.
Y/N chuckles at Bucky’s anger, licking her lips as she watched him beat the man down. It made goosebumps go up her spine at how he inserted himself into a power position to protect her. It made her want him, but she had business to do first. She walks to the next man in the line, tilting her head. She knew this was Zemo’s right hand man, “Do you know who I am?” She asks him, the sinister smile staying on her lips.
The man also glared at her, staying silent for a moment before speaking, “Hail Hydra.” He said to her before spiting in her face.
Y/N’s smile disappeared as she lifted a hand to wipe the spit from her cheek. She could see from the corner of her eyes Bucky moving towards the man to beat the shit out of him. But she was closer and quicker. She pulls the gun out of the holster from under her dress, firing one bullet between the man’s eyes, “So hard to find good help these days.” She mutters over to Bucky who stood there a little shocked that she had just killed him, but she could see Bucky eyeing her even more know, once again undressing her with his eyes. Y/N licks her lips at him before stepping in front of the last man, resting the barrel of the gun on his forehead, “Okay, sweetness, right answer only. Do you know who I am?” She asks for the third time, her eyes were dark with anger. She was losing her patience with these men.
The third man was younger, he looked at the other two men, one dead and one beaten to a pulp before looking to Y/N, nodding slowly with wide eyes, “I do, I do. You are Y/N. You killed Brock Rumlow..” Y/N smiles and pulls the gun back from his head, placing it back in the holster hidden under her dress, “Oh good, you’ve heard of me. Then you know I’m the one who has taken over Rumlow’s gun business. And from my understanding, he was leaning towards Hydra’s side when it came to the war Zemo and Barnes are having concerning territory.” She said with the smile never leaving her lips, “Now, I will not be selling guns to Zemo. I know he isn't in the country currently so you can tell him that yourself when he gets back. And you can also tell him to shrink back his territory. Mr. Barnes will be expanding his business into the current Hydra territories as he has been trying to do. If there is any backlash, Barnes and I will exterminate you. Am I clear?”
The young man nodded frantically, “Yes, understood. I will tell Zemo, I swear.” He stutters out.
Y/N smiled down at him, “Perfect.” She looks over to Natasha and her two body guards, “Go drop him off and clean up this mess.” She ordered before turning to Bucky with a smile. She walks towards him, placing her hands on his chest and letting them roam up to rest around the back of his neck, “Good present, huh?”
Bucky grins down at her as she snaked her arms around the back of his neck, gripping her waist between his large hands, “Mhm…” He hums out as he lowers his head to her neck, biting softly at her skin. He would be lying if he said the power play she had just made didn’t turn him on. Y/N was powerful and was on his side. Now he just needed to be between her legs, claiming her as his queen. He looks over at Steve, “Help them clean this mess up.” He ordered out harshly, before looking back to Y/N, “I’m going to claim my queen.” He grinned down at her, lust in his eyes. He parts his lips, allowing his tongue to run over his lips again at the sight of her. Bucky couldn’t wait anymore, he needed Y/N. He wanted to slam himself straight into her core. He easily picked Y/N up, throwing her over his shoulder and making his way back into his home. He carried her up the stairs, opening the door to his bedroom with one hand and shutting it behind him with his foot. He puts Y/N down on his bed, climbing on top of her. He grabs at her wrists, pinning them down on the sides of her head, “Enough teasing.” He growled as his lips kissed her collar bone. He releases his grip on her wrists, moving his weight off of her as he started pulling off his pants, “Take it off before I rip it off.” He demanded, eyeing her dress.
Y/N grins up at Bucky as she laid beneath him on his bed. She knew the play with the Hydra pawns would get him going while also showing how committed she was to their business relationship. But Y/N wanted more than just a business relationship, she wanted the king. She wanted power and Bucky was the most powerful man around. Y/N licks her lips at his demand for her to undress. She happily stripped the fabric from her body, leaving her in only her black lace panties and kicked off her heels to the floor. Y/N bit her lip as she watched Bucky take off his shoes, pulling off his pants and shirt off. She lifted her leg to run her foot up the middle of his legs slowly.
Bucky grins crookedly down at Y/N as he saw her bare breasts as well as the long surgical scar between them, knowing it was the mark of a fighter and survivor. Her body was perfection and all his. He quickly removed his boxers, his large, hard, thick cock slapping up against his stomach after it was freed from the fabric. He licks his lips, grabbing at her underwear and ripping it off in one quick tear. He admired her body for a moment more before climbing back on top of Y/N, pressing his face into her neck and nipping at her skin, “You’re mine.” He said lowly, possessively.
Y/N smiled at the sight of his bare body. She knew he could pleasure her in the ways she needed. She wiggles her hips slightly from under his large frame, already dripping wet since she had straddled him earlier. She snakes one hand down to grip his cock, positioning the tip at her wet entrance. Y/N needed him. She runs her other hand up through his hair, gripping the brown locks between her fingers, “Prove it.” She challenged, wrapping her legs up and around his waist.
Bucky grins into the skin of Y/N’s neck at her words, groaning slightly as he could feel her slick coat his tip. He was used to mindless whores just melting beneath him, doing whatever he wanted. But with Y/N, he could feel his power being matched. They were playing with each other, feeling each other out literally and figuratively. He pulls his head back from being nuzzled in her neck, wanting to see the look on her face when he pushed inside of her. With one quick thrust, he pushed himself into her core, groaning at Y/N’s tight walls squeezing around his cock. Bucky watched as Y/N’s face twisted into pleasure, tilting her head back and a beautiful moan rolling from her lips. He pulled himself back out, before slamming his hips once again forward.
Y/N moaned as Bucky thrust in and out of her forcefully, not needing to fake her moans as she did with Steve. He filled her perfectly like they were made for each other. Her legs tightened around Bucky’s waist, wanting him to stay inside of her. He was hitting all the right spots in her body, making warm tingles pulse through her body with every thrust.
Bucky quickened his pace at her moans. God, she was beautiful beneath him. Everything about her was beautiful. The way she tilted her head back in pleasure, the sweet moans that passed her lips, the way she squeezed his waist with her legs. It made him wild. He gripped his hand around her throat, staring down at her face that was twisted with pleasure. He quickened his thrusts, slamming deep into her which made small groans fall from his own lips, “Say I’m your king. Say it!” He growled down at her.
Y/N bit her lip as her body bounced slightly at his thrusts, moaning with each time he slid deeper into her core, hitting her spot. She met his eyes as he spoke, seeing them darken in a possessive fashion. She kept her fingers curled in his hair, pulling slightly at the dark strands, “You’re my king.” She breathes out between moans, her body starting to shake slightly as she was getting close to climax.
Bucky grins at her words, watching Y/N’s body shake beneath him. He leans his face back down to hers, smashing his lips against her and forcing his tongue into her mouth as he kept a quick pace thrusting into her. He bit her bottom lip as he ended the kiss, moving his lips to her ear, “You’re all mine. Anybody else ever touches you, they’re fucking dead.” He growls into her ear, biting down on her earlobe, “You’re my queen.” He moves his hands to grab her legs, forcing them away from his waist and prying them up to rest on his shoulders so he could deeper thrust into Y/N’s core, wanting to fill every inch of her, “Come for me.” He demanded into her ear.
Y/N’s eyes fluttered shut when he repositioned her legs, feeling him deeper inside of her, constantly hitting that sweet spot with each thrust. Her stomach was twisting in pleasure as waves that felt like fire ran over her body, causing her to whimper and moan underneath his large body. He was perfect for her and she knew he could give her the world. She couldn’t hold her orgasm back any longer, releasing herself all over his cock as he thrust in and out of her with a loud moan that echoed through his bedroom.
Bucky moved his kisses and bites down to the nape of her neck, grinning against her skin when he felt her release her juices around him. He pushed himself as deep into her as he could, releasing his load as deep into her as he could. He stayed inside her for a moment, continuing to scrape his teeth across her skin, leaving small bruises along the way. He loved the way her walls clenched around him as she orgasmed. Y/N was the best Bucky had ever had and was all he would ever need. He pulled out of her and stepped back, admiring her body again. Or should he say his body. He had claimed her, and she was his now. Bucky grabbed his shirt off the floor, cleaning both of them up before throwing it into a hamper in the corner of the room. Bucky ran his eyes over Y/N’s body again as he walked towards her, his eyes lingering along her figure. The way her fingers gripped into his sheets slightly from the pleasure they both just endured, watching him with fulfilled eyes made him smirk. He crawled back on top of her, kissing up her body until he found her lips with his, kissing her deeply as he stroked her hair, “I mean it, Y/N,” He whispers against her lips, “I’ll give you everything, anything. You’re my queen.”
Hi different anon here, but I absolutely loved your twins whump (with girl whumpee and boy caretaker) If I could ask you for part two please? With protective caretaker maybe?? Thank you! Coincidentally I have twin oc's and it gives me ideas 👀👀
aah, I'm so glad you loved it!! here you go anon, I hope this gives you very mean ideas hehe <3
(here is the first list of twin whump ideas)
Whumper tortures Whumpee in front of Caretaker. Caretaker begs and screams the entire time, until his voice is gone and Whumper still doesn’t stop, delighting in both their screams while they last, and then in Whumpee's cries and Caretaker’s choked sobs when his voice is too ragged to be heard anymore
Caretaker telling Whumpee her favorite story from their childhood to distract her from the pain/fear/nightmares
Alternatively: Caretaker telling her a funny story from their childhood to distract her, and making her laugh. But her ribs are hurt or she has open wounds, and the laughter is followed by a pained gasp that shatters his heart
Whumpee pretends to be okay in front of Caretaker, because she knows how devastated her twin is to see her in pain. She only allows herself to cry at night, when she knows he’s already asleep. But Caretaker hasn’t slept well since their capture, and every night he listens to her crying and pretends not to, because even though it tears him apart to let her suffer in silence, he knows that thinking he’s buying into her Nothing Is Wrong act makes her stronger, and they both need as much strength as they can get to face this
Caretaker becomes so desperate when Whumper tortures Whumpee in front of him, that he ends up even more bloodied than her from pushing so hard and for so long against the restraints that they cut deep into his skin
This one could go for either captivity or after rescue: Caretaker holding Whumpee in his arms, and rocking her slowly back and forth like their parents used to do to calm them down when they were kids, whispering against her hair about better times in a futile attempt to take her away from the pain as she nuzzles up against his chest and pretends it works
In case you're not thinking about captivity: Whumpee gets hurt and tries to pretend there's nothing wrong, but Caretaker knows her since always and it takes him one look at her to know something happened, and barely five minutes to get the truth to spill out of her mouth. And then, after he takes care of her, Caretaker goes after Whumper to make them pay
Alternatively: twins that haven't seen each other for years because of a fight, but as soon as Whumpee gets badly injured she shows up at Caretaker's door with blood on her clothes and tears in her eyes, and he doesn't think twice before helping Whumpee inside and taking care of her like nothing ever changed between them. And of course, when she is asleep and her wound is dressed, he goes after Whumper >:)
And for recovery! After the whump happens, sometimes Whumpee stares off into space with a lost expression, and Caretaker immediately knows where her mind’s gone. So he rushes to her whenever it happens, takes her somewhere safe and softly talks her out of it. It happens when they are in public a few times, and though he gets side-eyes for acting like his sister’s eyes going a little unfocused is the end of the world, they aren’t the ones who hear her scream in her sleep or watched her thrash and plead for mercy. So Caretaker runs, and knows he’s done the right thing when Whumpee blinks teary eyes at him and buries her head into his chest
(back to captivity scenario) Caretaker can’t sleep well after the rescue, because he is constantly worried about his sister, and when he does, it’s to wake up with nightmares of her being hurt again, and him being helpless to stop it once more.
And a little dialogue since I did one in the first part too:
“Do you think I’ll ever go back?” she whispers idly one night, the room too dark for him to see her but her voice soft enough for Caretaker to know what Whumpee is talking about.
He still asks it though.
“What do you mean?”
“Go back to who I used to be.”
“Oh, Whumpee,” Caretaker sighs, closing his eyes for a moment against the tears that well up, and quietly getting up from his bed to lie down next to her, pulling Whumpee into his arms and hugging tight as her silent tears soak into his shirt. It doesn't take long for his cheeks to be wet too.
“Shhh baby don’t want them to hear,” he whispers. His fingers dig harshly into your hips only cause you to moan louder.
“Don’t worry man I got it,” Fred says, pulling your jaw down and shoving his dick inside your mouth. Your breath is pulled from your lungs and your moan get caught around him while he starts to thrust in, his salty precum landing on your tongue.
“Hey,” Steph greets, wrapping an arm around you. “Y/N right?” she questions, giving Fred a hug.
“Yeah,” you confirm, removing your shoes to add to the growing pile by the door.
“Come in, some people are out back but almost everyone is down the hall.”
Fred’s hand is on your back, gently steering you down the hall. The regular season ended and they have a few days off before the start of round 1 against the Canadians. With this time Mitch and Steph are hosting a barbeque for the team and their families. A chance for everyone to have some fun and take it easy before the playoffs start and everything gets crazy with games and practices.
You met a portion of the WAG’s last year, but it’s been over 16 months since you’ve seen them. And there is also a bunch of new players which means new face and names to learn. Though not everyone on the team has come out today. Fred brought you as his date, but Auston is here as well. It’s the first time you have been in the presence of both men without having sex or being able to touch, even flirt with Auston. But it’s only for a couple hours.
The sun is shining, temperature over 20°C, no wind and barely a single cloud in the sky. It’s an amazing day for early May. Auston has on simple navy t-shirt, his arms on full display. Tattooed biceps and the chain poking out under the hem of his shirt, backwards ball cap on his dark curls. He smiles upon seeing you, but continues on his conversation with Mitch and William.
You’re thankful for the laughter and music that disguises the moan slipping through your lips. It’s soft and subtle, something most people but wouldn’t pick up on, but Fred does. He wraps an arm around your waist, lips gently brushing against your forehead while he chuckles lightly.
“Want a drink skat,” he hums fingers gently playing with your belt loop. His hand slides down and he briefly and softly gives your ass a squeeze. “Frederik,” you scold into his chest trying to not draw attention.
“So that’s not okay, but you eye fucking Auston from across the room is,” he mumbles into your ear. Burying your face into his chest, you try to allow the heat from your cheeks to fade before you finally pull away.
Fred has known for almost a month about you and Auston. Apart from his comments when you were pinned between him and Auston’s door, he hasn’t said anything to you. You didn’t expect him to say much that night, but you thought he would bring it up at some point over the last 4 weeks.
After the threesome he seemed somewhat upset. The Leafs had a week at home, and he seemed somewhat distant. He didn’t call you on the Friday or Saturday, on the Sunday he sent a couple texts. When you saw him on Monday he apologized, said he had a setback in his recovery; that he thought he’d be back playing by that point and was frustrated by it, but everything seemed to be fine after that.
A few days the Leafs left on a ten day road trip out west. Fred joined the team, and true to his word Auston asked you to watch Felix. 10 days of walks, kisses and snuggles. Dog sitting also came with you sending him multiple pictures a day and even a few Facetimes, but you think those Facetimes were more an excuse for him to talk to you.
You contemplated keeping him forever, but reluctantly handed the leash back when they returned. Auston of course paid you with multiple orgasms; just the two of you. Since they returned from the road trip you have had a couple nights with just Auston, some with just Fred, and multiple threesomes. Apart from their road games you have spent 2 maybe 3 nights alone in your own bed. Every other night has been at one of their condos.
It’s an easy and fun night at Mitch’s.
It’s not a crazy party like the previous year. Everyone is drinking at a slower rate, spending more time on conversations than on party games. Mitch spends most of the afternoon over the barbecue, Steph busying around in house refilling drinks and setting out some food. There is a buzz as everyone eagerly awaits the playoffs. An excitement abound, the hope and potential that comes with the post season. But not just any post season, a Leafs – Canadians matchup.
It’s a good afternoon, and you’re enjoying yourself. But it would be better if Auston wasn’t shooting you winks from across the room, constantly looking at you over the rim of his glass. He is doing absolutely nothing, just existing, and you barely can contain yourself.
Every wink, every smirk, every breath he takes your panties dampen even more.
If that wasn’t enough Fred is never too far from you. When you’re talking to Steph he was beside Auston grinning at you. When grabbing some veggies and dip he softly trailed a finger over your forearm. Later when talking with Tessa and Morgan, he came up beside you and placed a soft kiss on your forehead. His cologne and soft touch, Auston’s lingering glances and boisterous laugh echoing through the room are enough to make your knees give out. The two of them getting you very excited for what is going to happen once you leave later tonight.
Walking up to the drink table you feel a body approach you and your body stiffens, hairs on the nape of your neck standing up. “Having fun y/n,” Auston mumbles in your ear.
“Mhm,” you respond lightly, trying to distract yourself but his woodsy cologne overtakes your senses.
“I like your dress,” he hums, reaching over you for some ice, even though there is an abundance in his glass already. Your breath hitches when his forearm ever so slightly grazes your breast; his lips curling up in the process. Glancing to your side you spot Fred, engaged in a conversation with Mitch but still keeping a watchful eye on you.
Tipping his glass to you, you almost fall over. Fumbling to set your drink down you mutter something about the bathroom. Stepping in the bathroom your entire body is hot and clammy. Knuckles go white from clenching the cool marble, staring down to the sink you take some uneasy breaths.
Trying to gather yourself you realize it’s a lost cause, you won’t get any relief until you leave. Until you get back to their building and they provide you with some. You and Fred have snuck away at a party before, but this is not the scene. That night involved a lot more alcohol, the guests were loud but you could barely hear them over the echoing music. Today is slower, calmer. People are more so enjoying their time together with the occasional drink.
And sneaking off with Auston would be even worse. People could notice your absence, but it adds the worry of people finding out your sleeping with both Fred and Auston. They might think it’s a polyamorous relationship, or they might judge you for your decision to have a threesome. Either way you don’t want to deal with the repercussions.
Just another couple hours. A couple hours making idle small talk and then you can ride Fred, while Auston’s dick is deep down your throat. Just a couple hours until the ache between your legs is filled. So you take a deep breath, throw some water on your face and step into the hall flattening the wrinkles on your dress.
Starting the trek down the hall you pass by an open bedroom and a large hand grips your forearm pulling you inside. Catching a glimpse of the tattoos you feel hot breath fan over your neck. His large body pressed up against you has the slick building between your legs.
“Auston,” you moan, craning your neck slightly, “we can’t. Not here.”
“You think you can dress like that baby girl and get away with it?”
It’s a relatively simple summer dress. White with thick 1” straps and a straight squared off neck. The bodice is tight, ending on your thigh with a simple floral design. “God I wanted to bury my cock in you since the second you walked through the door.”
Sucking hard on your exposed skin he kicks your legs apart, slowly drawing two fingers up the inside of your thigh. Starting above your knee, slipping under the hem of your dress until he slides them under your thin lace. “Oh baby I think you’ve wanted this all day too,” he groans coating it in your dampness.
Pressing your fabric to the side two fingers dance around your entrance, drawing circles on your clit. A whimper slips through your lips and you feel his fingers curl inside you. “Aus,” you groan, through a few thrusts of his digits, “there’s people.”
Your mind is swirling, bouncing between desire and reason. Your cheeks heat, from both the alcohol and the deviant act that looms ominously in the air. You know this is a terrible idea, there are fifty ways this goes wrong but his large frame pressed against yours, his mouth sucking and nipping your neck, fingers spreading you open more and more each thrust, you can’t say no.
“We gotta be quick,” you push his chest making him take a few steps back. Walking to the edge of the, you pull your dress up, fabric bunching at your waist.
A deep seeded chuckle fills the air, followed by his belt buckle opening and jeans being shoved down his thighs. Bending you over the end of the bed, his hands are on your hips his length sliding in your heat. Trying to contain your moans you bite down on your lower lip, the taste of copper flooding your mouth. But it doesn’t help.
“Ssh, baby girl, you gotta be quiet,” Auston chuckles softly against you after a particularly hard thrust, your hands grabbing a fist full of the duvet. “Wouldn’t want anyone to find out we’re in here, would we? Catch you with my cock buried deep in your pussy while Freddie is outside.”
“Oh fuck—” His thrust hits just right, pelvis perfectly angled against your g-spot. Your belly swells with heat and your eyes flutter shut, unable to keep them open for a second longer.
“Couldn’t wait for me, huh?” A voice mutters from a distance as the door closes. Your eyes go wide realizing Auston never locked the door, anybody could have wandered in.
“Y/N really wanted to get started,” Auston slows his hips but keeps his cock deep inside your walls, gently rolling his hips.
“Yeah, y/n,” Fred chuckles. When you turn your head slightly to look at him you see he has a dark grin plastered on his face. Walking towards you he winks and Auston digs his hands into your waist, pulling you until you are standing; your back against his chest.
“Is that true baby?” Fred tucks a strand of hair behind your ear, “you couldn’t wait?”
Staring at the smug look on Fred’s face you get the idea this was planned by the two of them. Whether they planned it once they got here or days ago it all seems very convenient. Before you can focus too hard on it, Auston slowly pushes forward, not stopping until your ass hits his thighs. His hand begins to lightly trail across your stomach, grazing your nipple in the process. Biting your bottom lip you struggle to supress a moan, which only makes him laugh.
“I asked you a question baby” he repeats, fingers hovering dangerously close to your clit.
“Yes,” you gasp following a deep thrust. All you want to do is wipe that smug expression off his face, but before you can Auston’s mouth is on the back of your neck.
“Shit,” you moan, causing Fred to laugh after a particularly harsh thrust.
“Shhh baby don’t want them to hear,” Auston whispers. His fingers dig harshly into your hips only cause you to moan louder.
“Don’t worry man I got it,” Fred says, pulling your jaw down and shoving his dick inside your mouth. Your breath is pulled from your lungs and your moan get caught around him while he starts to thrust in, his salty precum coating your tongue.
You have no time to react before both men are setting fast paces. Your nails find Fred’s thick thighs for stability trying not to gag as he hits the back of your throat. One of Auston’s hands snakes around to your clit, at the same time Fred is pulling your hair away from your face. You can feel your orgasm quickly approaching, the familiar tingling in your core.
“Fuck princess,” Auston grunts, beginning to get sloppy. Moaning around Fred’s length, he uses you for his need. Chasing his high both of their hips snap at the same time, pushing you closer to your high.
“Your mouth feels so good skat,” Fred groans as Auston’s thumb starts pressing harder into your sensitive bud seeking out your high. The sounds you’re making can only be described as pornographic. Forgetting there is a house full of people meters away, you fall victim to your pleasure.
**
Auston helps you to stand as Fred brings a towel and wipes his cum from your chin and chest. But before he can clean between your legs Auston swats his hand away. Gripping the fabric of your dress he pushes it down your sticky thighs. Lips ghosting over your ear his voice is dark as husky he groans, “I want you to think of me as you feel my cum drip down your legs while you talk to our friends.”
You shudder at the thought, but Fred’s lips are quickly on yours. The little bit of oxygen you had in your lungs is ripped from you, the kiss is full of passion and hunger. His hands trail down your body before he finds your hands, “ready?” he mumbles through a breath.
“Yeah,” you reply, smiling against his lips.
Giving your hand a light squeeze he pulls you to the door, when it flings open, Steph and Audrey on the other side. They both blink staring at you, but it’s not until their eyes see Auston readjusting his pants behind you their jaws drop. Shifting their gaze between you and Fred and Auston they are trying to process if they actually are seeing it right.
“I am so sorry,” Steph blurts out, her cheeks going red. Stepping back they close it behind them and you can immediately hear them cackling on the other side.
“Fuck,” you breathe, your voice barely audible.
“Its fine,” Fred squeezes your hand, your heart rate building.
“WHAT?” you snap bringing your gaze to meet his. “How can you say –“
“Hey,” Auston calls out. Coming in front of you he tilts your head forcing you to stare are him. “It’s not a big deal, people have sex y/n.”
“But –“
“No, no buts,” he uses a thumb to wipe away some mascara that had run down your cheek. “You will be fine, everything will be fine. Now were gonna go back out there and-“
“I am NOT going back out there,” you interject.
“Yes we are, leaving will only be worse,” Fred says softly. “Everyone will talk the second we walk out the door.”
“We’ll stay for like an hour, and then go back. You can cuddle up with Felix. We’ll watch whatever shitty chick flick you want, do tequila shots, whatever you want after. But right now we have to go out there. We weren’t doing anything wrong, we have no reason to hide or be embarrassed.”
Mulling over his words you sigh knowing they aren’t going to budge, “okay.”
A half smile tugs on Auston’s lips and he leans in placing a soft but brief kiss on your lips. His mustache tickles your upper lip but he pulls away and heads out of the room first. Waiting a minute, allowing you time to compose yourself, Fred pulls you out of the room.
Walking down the hall you can hear Mitch laughing at something outside. Fred drapes an arm over your shoulders and gently presses his lips to your head, smiling down at you. Your body becomes numb, if it wasn’t for Fred tugging you outside you would be frozen in place. Feet unable to move.
Walking outside you feel like all eyes are on you. They aren’t, but it feels that way.
Auston, Will and Morgan are off to the side laughing about something. He shoots you a grin before continuing on with his conversation. Fred pulls you to one of the outside couches. Trying to put you at ease he slings one arm around your shoulder, you tucked tightly under his arm.
You can smell his overpriced cologne, you can feel his fingers gently trailing over your shoulder and you can hear his voice. But none of it pulls you out from your trance. Your walls feel like they are tightening around you and you are quickly losing oxygen.
“Y/N,” Fred squeezes your shoulder.
“Hmm?” you head snaps to see him.
“Mitch asked if you wanted a drink,” Fred smiles with a soft smile.
“Probably thirsty after your earlier activities,” you hear someone sneer, glancing to the side you see Steph, Audrey, Bianca, along with a few other WAGS. Some seem confused by the comment, but the vast majority have narrowed eyes and grins plastered on their faces.
“Uh no, I’m okay,” you lie. Your throat is dry, not from Fred’s cock slamming into the back of it, but from your anxiety building. You would love a drink, but what you really want is to leave. You just need to get away. It feels like everybody has eyes on you, you keep thinking you overhear people whispering your name. Fred carries on as if nothing happened, chatting with Mitch, laughing at something Zach said. Maybe it’s his way of downplaying it, or it’s his way of trying to reassure you, but it doesn’t work.
It’s a quiet drive, Auston and Fred chatting in the front. You melt into the backseat, staring aimlessly out the window. You don’t even recognize where you are until you are parked in the underground garage. The second the car stops you are gone, heading to the elevator.
Pressing the up button about fifty time the doors finally open and you step in, both men behind you. Staring to the ceiling you blink a few times, trying to suppress your tears.
“You coming?” Fred asks when the door opens to his floor.
“In a minute,” you sniffle. “I want to see Felix first.”
“Kay,” Fred smiles lightly. Taking a small step forward, he hesitantly leans down and places a warm kiss on your cheek before stepping off the elevator.
**
“I have couches,” Auston laughs seeing you on the floor. Felix curled between your legs as you slowly pet him, warm tears rolling down your cheeks. You don’t reply, continuing to slowly rub Felix’s fur. Hands grab your legs and he pulls you against his chest and making his way to the couch.
Placing you on the couch, he falls beside you, pulling you against him. That’s when it happens, the floodgates open. His grip tightens on you while your chest heaves as you dissolve into a git of tears. He tries to calm you, talking is a soothing tone in your ear. Choking on your tears, Auston just holds you, your hands clenching his shirt.
**
“Hey,” Auston smiles, handing you a steaming mug. You don’t know when you stopped crying or how long you were asleep for, but the night sky is flooding the room. Apart from the stove light and one lamp in the corner the entire room is dark, empty, a feeling you know too well.
“Thanks,” your voice cracks slightly. Sitting beside you, he pulls you up onto his lap, your head falling on his shoulder. Felix takes the opportunity to curl up beside you, he head beside your hand so you can slowly scratch his head.
“Don’t worry,” he finally says after a few minutes of silence. “They aren’t allowing anyone at the playoff games for now, so you won’t have to see them for a bit.”
“That doesn’t –“
“It does matter, they will forget about it by the next time you see them,” he runs his hand up and down his large sweater hanging off your frame. You want to believe him, but the pit in your stomach only gets bigger by the second. Biting the inside of your cheek, you take a few deep breaths. Silence falling over you.
“What are you doing this summer?” He asks, trying to pull you from your stupor.
“I don’t know,” you sigh, not interested in his small talk. “I had a few interviews these past couple weeks, if I get it then the last 2 weeks of August I’ll be at the school planning. Spend some time with friends, and family maybe, I guess. I don’t know.”
“Sounds exciting,” he laughs.
“Mhm,” you agree. “You?”
“I’ll be in Arizona once the season ends, but hopefully that’s not for a while,” he replies. “But just hang out with friends, family. I think my mom wants to go on a family trip somewhere.”
“Nice,” you breathe out.
“Yeah,” he trails of slightly. “Maybe you could come down for a weekend.”
“Yeah, maybe,” you dismiss. You are barely in the mood to talk, let alone make plans for two months from now, “if the border opens.”
“If not I have my Visa, I could come up we could go somewhere for a weekend. Whistler, Banff,” he suggests.
“Yeah, maybe.”
“My sisters would love you,” he chuckles.
Silence once again falls on you. You assume Auston believes you are just upset from earlier, and you are. But mainly you are mulling over his offer. You don’t do that. You don’t go on dates. You aren’t dating. You have sex. Yes you cuddle, you talk, and you have sleepovers. You watch movies, and have dinner, you have even confided in him. But everything leads to sex.
“Why would your sisters love me?” you ask harshly. “Have you told them about me?”
“No,” he laughs. “Just that you’re awesome, I can’t see the not liking you.”
“But why would I meet them?” you bite, pushing off of him. Felix’s head pops up briefly from the commotion before he lies back down beside Auston. “Why would you introduce me to your family? Why would you introduce your family to someone you are just fucking?” you bite.
“Y/N seriously?” he questions, eyes grazing over your face while his body stiffens. “You’re not just someone I’m fucking, at least not to me. I don’t think you ever were someone I was just fucking.”
Standing up he grabs your hand closing the gap between your bodies. “You can’t tell me you don’t feel this?” he questions softly. You can’t match his gaze, knowing you will crumble under it. You can’t process what he is saying because it’s a lot. You never thought about a relationship with Auston, maybe it had crossed your mind once, but you have been so caught up in your feelings for Fred, his feelings for you, that you never considered Auston.
“I uh-“ you bring a hand up to wipe away a stray tear. “I gotta go,” you whisper. Pulling away you practically run to the door.
“He doesn’t want you,” he calls out as you reach the door. Letting go of the handle you turn around, Auston still in the middle of the living room, the exact spot you left him. “You’re going to see him? Fred?” he queries, sensing your next move. Your face contorts and you take a deep breath preparing for his next words.
“I know him, he’s not interested like that, not anymore,” Auston says lightly.
Anymore.
That words stings. When did Fred stop losing interest? Was it when you had the first threesome, or the second? When did he stop wanting you, and how didn’t you notice?
“You’re wrong,” you say yanking the door open and heading down the hall. He is wrong, it has to be. Needs to be.
How did you wind up here?
As you slump back into your bed, with him lying on the floor next to you, a hazy thought informs you that it must look like a scene straight out of Romeo and Juliet.
Although, you think ruefully, glancing down at the sharp shard of glass clenched in your fist, I don’t think Juliet would have done this.
“Merry fucking Christmas.”
~Three weeks earlier~
Taehyung, leaning against the doorframe with a steaming mug of coffee in his hand, looks as handsome as the day you married him. “Have a good day at work!”
You give him a quick kiss, shivering in the brisk morning air. “You too. Remember that we have that dinner tonight!”
Tae laughs. “Is that what we’re calling the awards ceremony? You know you’ve earned bragging rights.”
“Shush!” You boop him on the nose before turning and making for your car. On the other side of the fence, you can see your neighbor Jimin step out onto his porch. He catches your eye and, as Taehyung goes back inside, you smile amicably and nod at Jimin before getting into your car. You see him at his front door every morning, and he’s always friendly.
On your drive to the university campus, you think about tonight’s dinner. You’ll be presented with an awards for Arts Education despite being one of the youngest professors in the university’s faculty. You were thrilled when the dean of the school contacted you for the honor.
Once you park, you speedwalk to your first class of the day and burst through the door. You soon find yourself looking at twenty students, some bright-eyed, some more zombie-like.
“I’d apologize for being late,” you say, “But at this point I don’t think anyone is surprised.” The more awake students laugh, and you sling your bag onto your desk at the front of the room. “Let’s get started. Yoongi, you’re up first for workshop. Why don’t you stand up and read?”
Of all of your students, you think Yoongi is the most likely to pursue his career in creative writing.
He nods and stands. You can see his hands trembling as he clutches the paper.
When he sits back down after reading his poem, there’s a smattering of applause. “Very nice,” you say. “Now, who’d like to offer their feedback?”
~~~
Hours later, you dismiss your last class. You can’t wait to go home and tell Taehyung all about your day.
“So this one kid really decided the best move, instead of asking for an extension, was to plagiarize Twilight. Fucking Twilight!”
Taehyung laughs as he buttons up his shirt. “What did you tell her?”
“Ugh, I hate to report anyone for plagiarism, I told her to write something new and turn it in for half credit.”
“No wonder your students love you. I think you’re personally responsible for all of the creative writing majors on campus.”
You finish zipping up your dress. “Probably. Let’s get going, yeah?”
“Your wish, my command,” Taehyung says, gallantly bowing you out the door. You giggle as he opens the passenger side door for you. “For real, Y/n, want to get away for a weekend to celebrate? This is a nationally recognized award!”
“Hm…” you pretend to think. “Maybe we could go somewhere warm and sunny, with lots of beaches.”
Taehyung interlaces his fingers with yours, lifts your hand to his mouth, and kisses your palm. “Whatever you want. Christmas is coming up, maybe we can travel somewhere for the winter.”
You smile and look out of the window as Taehyung begins the drive. The ceremony is being held at a hotel twenty minutes away. And in a few weeks, you’ll be spending Christmas with the love of your life somewhere warm.
Under the twinkling night sky, everything feels so peaceful. Suddenly, you see a flash of light overhead. “Tae! A shooting star! Look-”
BANG. You hear the sound of crunching metal, feel a violent jerk, and everything goes dark.
~~~
“When she wakes up, start her on 20 milligrams of morphine. If her blood pressure is still low, go ahead and add saline to the IV. She shouldn’t need a transfusion unless anything opens up again.”
“Yes, Doctor.”
Doctor. Are you in the hospital, then? Was there an accident? “Ugh…” You blink hard in the blinding light. You’re woozy, and your mouth tastes like copper.
“Y/n! Doctor, she’s awake!” You hear a familiar voice, and feel a hand grip your own.
“M-Mom?”
“Y/n. Thank heavens, you’re awake.” Your mom’s voice is strained and thick, as though she’s been crying. When your eyes finally focus on her, she’s sniffling, and her eyes are bloodshot. She’s wearing a formal black dress – did she come straight from the ceremony?
“What happened?” You croak.
“You were in an accident,” your mom says, her voice breaking. “A bad one. We weren’t sure if you would make it.”
You wince. That doesn’t make sense, and the cost of a hospital stay isn’t in your budget. “Where’s Taehyung?”
Your mother is silent for a moment too long, and you feel your chest grow tight. “Mom, where is Taehyung? He was in the car with me!”
“He… he didn’t make it. I’m so sorry,” your mom whispers. “The doctors did everything they could.”
No. “You’re lying.” Of course she is, she has to be, he’s your husband, he can’t be gone. “Don’t lie. He’s fine.”
“Y/n, baby…”
“No!” You weakly pull your hand from her grip. Angry tears form and begin to spill down your swollen, tender cheeks. “You’re lying!” Please, you beg inside your head, please be lying. Not Taehyung. He’s healthy, strong, smart, he has to be fine.
You can see unshed tears shining in your mother’s eyes. “I’m so sorry.”
“We weren’t going that fast,” you say desperately. “It can’t have been bad.”
“You broke a leg and a rib, fractured your collarbone, and punctured your lung,” Your mother says quietly. “They said you were lucky to have no brain damage.”
You sit back, stunned. It’s true, you’re wrapped in bandages and the parts of your skin that you can see are black and blue. When you lift the blanket, you can see a small clear tube protruding from your chest. Still, it’s impossible. You had only been driving for a few minutes. “What happened? The accident?”
“I-It was a hit-and-run,” your mother responds shakily. “They T-boned your car and drove away. There were witnesses, but no cameras and nobody got a license plate. They put out a notice for the car.”
You swallow. Despite your injuries, it seems like you’re unable to feel anything at all. Please, no…
There’s a soft knock at the door. “Y/n?” You look up and through the dark fog in your head you feel a tinge of shock.
Standing in front of you, wearing blue scrubs and a mask, is… your neighbor.
“Jimin?”
Jimin nods. “I’m sorry for what you’re going through. I just need to adjust your IV – are you in pain?”
“No- yes.” As soon as the word escapes your mouth, feeling spills back into your body. Fuck. Suddenly you can’t breathe, your chest feels like it’s on fire, and your leg… “It hurts really badly.”
“Let me increase the morphine dosage.” He steps towards the machines and IV to which you’re hooked up and fiddles with some buttons.
Your heart feels as though it’s stopped on Taehyung. You refuse to believe it, and so you refuse to grieve. “I didn’t know you were a doctor,” you say to Jimin. Your voice sounds like a robotic copy of itself. Out of the corner of your eye, you see your mother glancing at you with worry.
“I’m not, I’m a nurse,” he replies.
“You take good care of her, you hear?” Your mom says to Jimin, clearly understanding your silent signal not to bring up Taehyung. She was lying – he has to be fine.
Jimin nods firmly, the ghost of a smile on his face. “Yes, ma’am. She’ll be up and about soon, but for now she needs rest.”
As your mom rises slowly from her chair beside your bed, she grasps Jimin’s hand in hers. “Make sure she’s okay.”
“I will.”
Once your mom leaves, your eyelids feel heavy. Your brain is foggy with distorted thoughts of Taehyung. Why can’t you remember anything? “What time is it?”
“Three in the morning,” Jimin supplies.
That surprises you. “It’s been hours.”
“It has.” “Do you know what happened to the awards ceremony?”
“The… what?”
Of course he doesn’t. Why should he? You sink as far as you can into your pillow, wishing only that it would suffocate you. It feels like there’s an all-consuming black hole in your chest, clawing at every part of you. Taehyung. Taehyung. Taehyung.
“I’m sorry about your husband,” Jimin says gravely. “I met him several times. He was a very kind man.”
“He’s not gone,” you reply stubbornly. He can’t be. “I just need to get better and get home.” Tae will be there.
Jimin pauses. “We’ll do our best.”
“Thank you.”
“The doctor will be back in soon,” Jimin adds. “I can give you something to help you sleep after.”
“Oh, you’re an angel.” After everything that’s happened, you don’t think you can ever sleep again. At least, not until you’re with Taehyung. Surely, the doctor will be able to tell you the truth.
The doctor comes in, a middle-aged Black woman who introduces herself as Dr. Greene. She walks you through your injuries and the path to recovery. “Luckily, they could have been a lot worse,” she says, eyeing your chart appreciatively. “You should be discharged in two weeks, give or take. After that, it’ll be a while still with your leg in a cast. You’ll have to come back for more check-ups. And as soon as your lung heals, we want you to start physical therapy to counteract all the bed rest. Do you have any questions for me?”
“Where is my husband?” You ask desperately. Behind Dr. Greene, you see Jimin’s face has turned stony. “He was in the car with me, his name is Kim Taehyung–”
“Your husband has passed away,” the doctor says simply, quietly. “I’m sorry.”
At last, with this authority figure having sealed his fate, you allow yourself to cry for Taehyung. Loud, animalistic sobs tear from your chest until your abused ribs and lungs can’t support you anymore and you collapse, screaming silently into hands that hurt to lift.
“Y/n…”
“It’s not fair. It’s not fair! It should have been me.” The two of you were only on your way to the dinner because of you. It’s your fault. Your fault. Your fault. “It should have been me!”
You feel fingertips lightly touch your aching shoulder. From his earlier position near the doorway, Jimin is suddenly right next to you. “No, it shouldn’t have. And it’s not your fault, Y/n,” he says.
“Grief is natural and necessary, really, for the healing process,” Dr. Greene adds. “But Nurse Jimin is right, you shouldn’t blame yourself.” She looked back at her chart. “Jimin, you’re on call for the night, yes?”
“Yes, ma’am.”
“Good. Keep an eye on her pain levels. Y/n, if you’re uncomfortable or need anything during the night, press this button and Jimin will come check in on you, alright?”
You nod numbly. You don’t care. You hope you do die during the night, so you can at least be with Taehyung.
Jimin leaves and returns in what feels like both an hour and two seconds, holding a clear bag full of liquid and a bottle of pills.
“Take one of these to help you sleep. This is for your blood pressure – it’s still low – and we’ve added more morphine.”
You simply hold out your hand for the bottle, shake out a pill, and swallow it down without water. Why would you need water when the love of your life is gone?
“Remember, press the button if you need anything,” Jimin says. “I’ll be right here for you.”
“Mm.” You turn over as much as you comfortably can and almost immediately fall into a hopefully dreamless sleep.
If only you were so lucky.
The crash. The moment of the shooting star. Over and over and over again.
“Y/n! Come on, baby, wake up!” You can’t see anything, but you can hear his voice. “They’ll be here soon, you have to hang on for me, okay?”
7.
“Help! Somebody help! No, she’s worse than me, hurry up!”
H.
“Miss? Can you hear me?”
“Shit, he’s coding!”
L.
“Y/n?” You feel yourself being gently shaken, and still half-dreaming, your body gives a great shudder from the accident. “I’m sorry to wake you. I just need to take your vitals.”
“Blue,” you reply, barely able to form the word. You saw it. “The car was blue.”
When you look up, you realize that it’s not Jimin, but a nurse you’ve never seen before. She pauses for a moment, clearly perplexed, before she blinks.
“Oh! You were in a car accident?”
“The car was blue,” you continue, scared to lose the thought. You’re a professor of writing at a top university, you should be able to express yourself more fluently. But your words seem to escape you before you can capture them. “License 7-H-L.”
“Oh, my… the nurse looks around before grabbing a pen clipped to her scrubs and scribbling the numbers onto a notepad beside you. “You’re a regular detective!”
“Where’s Jimin?” You ask. You don’t know this new nurse, but at least you trust Jimin.
“Oh, his shift ended,” she replies. “He’ll be back tonight! In the meantime, can you tell me how you feel?”
“I’m… dizzy. My heart…” You can hear it pounding hard in your ears, far too quickly, and leaving you lightheaded. Your whole body hurts, centralized in your leg and chest, far worse than last night.
“Your blood pressure must have gone back to normal, let me get that saline off for you. How’s the pain? Your morphine should have worn off by now.”
You wince. “Bad.”
“Okay, I’ll adjust that.” The nurse fiddles with your IV before turning back to you. “I think your mother will be here soon. In the meantime, is there anything I can do for you?”
“Actually… can you tell her not to come?” A wave of guilt tries to wash over you, but it’s overpowered by the darkness already inside. “I just want to sleep today. She shouldn’t bother.” You pause. “I don’t want any visitors.” “Ah- sure thing, whatever you’d like,” the nurse chirps hesitantly. “Oh, and… what happened to your hair?”
“What do you mean?”
The nurse points. “You’re missing a chunk of hair, I’m guessing from the accident. Hey, maybe when you get out you can try a new style!”
“Yeah, maybe.” You lay back down and stare at the ceiling, wishing only that it would fall apart and crush you. What’s the point of anything without Taehyung? But… what about your students, your classes?
The day passes in a blur, and your intermittent napping keeps you barely aware of your surroundings. You don’t dream of the crash again – it’s a blessing, but at the same time you wish you could remember the rest of the license plate. You finally awaken for real once dusk has settled on the hospital.
You press the button, and immediately Jimin is in your room. “What can I do for you, Y/n?”
You take a deep breath. “Can you please bring me a pad of paper and a pencil?” You were a teenager when your father passed away, and writing was the only thing that saved you then. Perhaps it will be your healing salve now.
“Sure, there’s paper right-” Jimin pauses beside your bed before handing you the pad of paper. “Here, sorry. And you can use one of my pens. How are you feeling?”
“Groggy,” you reply. You’re surprised by how weak your grip on the pencil feels. “Numb. It hurts, but…”
“I’ll make a note for the doctor. Don’t worry, I promised your mom that I’d help you get better. Your lung should be healing soon,” Jimin says. “But I need to change the bandages on your chest tube, if that’s okay?” “Yeah.” You forgot it was there, the clear tube coming out of your chest. It’s held in place with bandages, which Jimin carefully removes before cleaning off your skin and placing new ones down. He’s wearing a silver locket that you’ve never noticed before. It suits him, shining against his skin.
“Thank you,” you say as he finishes taking your vitals.
“I’m happy to help.”
The next week passes in a blur; between crying fits for Taehyung, assuring your mother that you’re alright, scribbling down everything on your mind, and forcing yourself to sleep simply to avoid the reality of waking hours, you barely have a second to consider your own healing process.
It isn’t until Dr. Greene beams at you that you register: physically, you’re feeling a lot better, and after a week of bed rest and god awful depression, you’re ready to try hobbling around.
“Looks like you might actually get out a few days early,” Dr. Greene says. “We’ll be able to remove that chest tube tonight.” Beside you, your mother begins crying with relief.
“Wonderful.” It’s still hard to smile, but you manage a weak attempt. Later that day, you hear a bit of commotion in the hallway, and soon the nurse brings in a huge basket of cards, flowers, and stuffed animals.
“Woah… what’s all this?” With effort, you sit up and take the offered basket. The sweet smell of the flowers is a welcome change to the cold sanitation of the hospital.
“From your students!” The nurse says happily. “Some even sent you books!”
“Aww, they’re sweet.” You flip through one of the books and notice that all your advisees have signed the title page and scribbled well-wishes in the margins of the chapters. Their kindness and love sparks your first real smile since the accident.
You spend the day reading, counting down the hours until your chest tube is removed. When you’re finally wheeled to the OR and numbed up so they can sew the hole in your chest shut, you feel relief. Your leg is still in a cast, but at least your body is fighting for you.
That night, you’re drifting off to sleep when you feel a painful tugging on your chest, right where your stitches are. “Mm?” You blink sleepily and see Jimin’s silhouette standing over you.
“Ah, Y/n. I’m sanitizing your wound so it heals well, don’t mind me. How are you feeling?”
“I’m a little sore,” you reply honestly. “It’s not too bad, though.” “Let me fix that for you.” You can see Jimin’s dark figure change something on your IV. “That’ll help you feel better.”
“Thanks,” you mumble, feeling sleep begin to overtake you.
“It’s my pleasure, Y/n.” That night, your dreams are choppy and chaotic. At one point, you dream that your body is on fire; at another, you’re back in the accident but instead of Taehyung, it’s Jimin. The sun has barely risen before you bolt upwards. “Gah!” Your throat is burning, dry, painful – it feels like you’ve swallowed sand.
It must be extra early, because Jimin is still there. He rushes to your bedside. “Y/n? What’s wrong?”
“I- who are you? I need… water…” you croak, your vision swimming before you. You don’t know who this man is, and you don’t know where you are. You can vaguely feel yourself falling backwards.
“Okay, let me get you some- wait, Y/n!”
~~~
You awaken with Jimin, Dr. Greene, and another nurse standing over you. Packed in bed beside you are several ice packs. Even so, you feel your body sweating.
“What… happened?” You manage. Your tongue feels thick in your mouth.
“You woke up with a bad fever. It’s lucky Jimin thought fast and worked to cool you down.” Dr. Greene said. “We’ll have to keep you monitored for longer than we anticipated.”
“W-Why do I have a fever?”
Dr. Greene’s brows knit together. “I… I’m not sure. We’ll keep an eye on you for the next couple of days and see if anything changes.”
Your fever goes up and down throughout the day, occasionally spiking dangerously enough that the monitors around you begin to beep in alarm. Around noon, Jimin comes in with water and a bottle of pills. He’s wearing a lopsided Santa hat along with his scrubs.
“Merry almost-Christmas. Here, take two for the fever.”
“What are you doing here?” You ask weakly. Even in your fever-addled mind, you remember he only comes at night.
“My shift changed. You need more urgent care anyways, and I volunteered.”
You swallow down the pills and nod. “Thanks.”
“Your bruises have improved,” Jimin observes, lightly touching your face.
“I guess. Fuck.” You feel the sudden urge to douse yourself in cold water. “I just want to get out of here.”
Jimin is quiet for a moment. “Have they found the car that hit you?”
“How would I know?” You feel a wave of dizziness hit you, likely brought on by a heartbeat that never seems to slow down. “Jimin, please…” Save me.
“We’ll see how you’re doing tomorrow,” Jimin says. “For now, you should stay awake. What’s your favorite color?”
“Uh, green.”
“Favorite food?” You can barely think. “Sushi.”
Jimin grins. “Favorite neighbor?”
You try to summon a chuckle. “Whichever one is saving my life.”
“Fantastic. I’ll see you later tonight. Your mother should be in here soon – let me adjust your pain meds, we kept you off of them from the fever but they might just help.”
The night feels eternal; you can’t sleep a wink, and your mother stays with you the whole night. Your fever continues to climb and although at first your breathing is rapid to cool you down, by the time the sun rises it feels as though your lungs have stopped working entirely. You don’t know if that’s normal for a fever.
“Doctor!” Your mother calls for what feels like the thousandth time.
Dr. Greene hurries into the room, Jimin right behind her. “Is it her fever?”
“No, it’s…” Your mother points wordlessly at your hands. You can’t see what she’s talking about, but when you raise your hands you see your fingertips are blue. You can’t think. You can’t breathe. You don’t care. Everything is fuzzy, so fuzzy… the monitors are beeping again, but you can barely hear them. You’re gasping for air now, choking on nothing. You can’t breathe.
“Doctor Greene,” Jimin says loudly, “I think she’s overdosing.”
“Lord, you may be right. Get the Narcan!”
Jimin darts out of the room and returns just as your eyes begin to flutter closed. Taehyung…
~~~
There’s a cliff. Taehyung is there, you know it. You just need to jump. The moment you start walking, though, it’s almost as if you’re being pulled away from the edge. No! You open your eyes. Has it been minutes? Days?
“Dear god,” your mother says breathlessly. “She’s awake.”
“How on earth…?” Dr. Greene wonders, wiping her forehead. “Jimin, props to you for your quick thinking. But an overdose? How?”
“Doctor, it’s possible that with her weakness and weight loss, plus the fact that we held off the morphine for several days, an average dose might have caused her to OD.” Jimin suggests. His voice seems to carry more authority than even Dr. Greene’s.
“Yes, perhaps… but the fever?”
“Hm…” Jimin reaches forward and prods at the stitches on your chest. You immediately flinch, your raspy voice yelping in pain. “An infection. Possibly blood poisoning.”
“You know, you really might be right,” Dr. Greene says thoughtfully. “It’s not impossible. Okay, we’ll start you on an antibacterial and switch to lower-grade painkillers.” With this note, Dr. Greene and Jimin file out, leaving you with your mother.
“Momma, did you ever find the car?” You ask, gripping her hand urgently. The owner of that car killed your husband; you want them brought to justice.
“No, sweetie, I’m sorry.”
“What about the license plate?”
“Well, none of the witnesses saw it-”
“No,” you shake your head. “I- the nurse wrote it down. On…” you point to the notepad beside you. “The first page.”
Your mother picks up the abused pad of paper, filled with random journal entries and doodles, and flips to the front. “Y/n, there’s nothing here. It’s blank. Maybe you dreamed it?”
“What? No.” You’re sure that the nurse wrote it down for you. “Check on the floor.”
After a brief but thorough search, the paper doesn’t turn up. What had happened? You can’t possibly remember the partial plate now. Shit. And even so, it was a literal fever dream – you could have made the numbers up.
“Y/n, I’m going to go for an early Christmas dinner at Aunt Ella’s, but I’ll be back tomorrow morning, okay?”
“Sure, mom.” She’s barely slept, after all.
The next several days pass and you gradually begin to recover. The lab tests confirmed your blood poisoning, and you feel more grateful than ever that Jimin managed to catch it early – it could have killed you. It’s now been more than two weeks since the accident, and finally the doctor tells you that you’ll be ready to go home soon. As Christmas approaches, you’ve heard holiday music float through the air and bows and wreaths appear in your hospital room and down the hall. Even with the holiday cheer, the loss of the license plate weighs heavy on your mind.
“Merry Christmas Eve! Time to get up and try walking around!” The afternoon nurse says cheerfully as she helps you out of bed. With your heavy green cast making your leg feel detached, you clunk around while holding the nurse’s arm. You near the window, which overlooks a parking lot decorated with dirty snow, and gaze down onto the cars. Can you ever feel safe in a car again?
“Which one’s yours?” You ask the nurse absentmindedly, suddenly struck by another bolt of grief. Her life is normal. She has a car and goes to work.
“That white one right there next to the blue Prius,” she replies, pointing. You mindlessly follow her finger, when suddenly –
Blue. You clutch at your chest and stumble backwards, nearly falling if she hadn’t caught you. “That’s…” No, it can’t be. But in your heart and deep, deep in your memory… “Can you read the plate number on that blue car next to yours?”
“Uh, it’s a little too far away,” she replies, squinting. “I think it’s Jimin,’s though, I always see him pulling in just as my shift is over.”
Jimin. “Does it look dented at all?” You manage. “His car?”
“Ah… a little? I’m not sure.”
Jimin does have a blue Prius, you know that from seeing it in his driveway every day. So why, today, did the thought strike you so violently?
“You know, I think I’m tired. I’m going to lay down.”
“Oh, okay. Do you want some water or to go to the bathroom?”
“No. I just want to be alone.”
“Okay.” The nurse looks worried, but leaves you settled back in your bed. Night falls quickly and you hear a knock on the door. Jimin lets himself in, a bottle of pills in his hand.
“Hey, I heard you’ll be getting discharged soon,” he says cheerfully. He’s still wearing the Santa hat.
Blue. “Yeah, hopefully.”
“Awesome. Well, you need to take these,” he says, shaking two pills from the bottle in his hand and handing them to you.”
“What are they for?”
“They’ll help you sleep and let your blood vessels dilate to regulate your blood pressure.”
“Mm.” You wash them down with his offered water. Almost as soon as you swallow, you feel your body rebel against you – you lean over and vomit onto the floor. The smell makes you gag and you feel everything you’ve eaten come up a second time, the stomach acid burning your throat.
“What- what did you give-” you can’t finish your sentence as your stomach convulses again. Jimin rushes over to you with a bucket and you lean into it, retching. You continue dry heaving long after your body is completely emptied, while Jimin rubs your back reassuringly. “G-get the doctor,” you croak.
“Are you going to be okay alone-?” “Yes. Please, just…” your body shivers as he gets up and leaves. What did he give you? You’re doubtless that those pills caused your vomiting. Just the thought sends you back to your bucket, although you’ve no more left to give.
“What on earth happened?” Dr. Greene says, rushing in. Jimin is close behind her.
“He gave me pills…” you gasp as your body tries to vomit again. The muscle contractions leave you feeling boneless. “They made me throw up.”
“You’ve got no known allergies on file…” Dr. Greene says, consulting a chart by your bed. “Jimin, what did you give her?”
Jimin produces a bottle clearly labelled DOXEPINE. “Just to help her sleep, she was asking for something earlier.”
Your heart drops. “That’s not-” you’re interrupted by another gagging fit. You want to scream at your body that there’s nothing left, but you can barely speak. “Not the same-” fuck.
“She must have a sensitivity to the Doxepine,” Dr. Greene says thoughtfully. “Jimin, make sure she stays hydrated. If she keeps throwing up we’ll need to keep her longer for observation.”
“Yes, Doctor.”
“Ngh… no…” Dr. Greene leaves before you can tell her that that wasn’t the same pill bottle.
“Here, drink this,” Jimin says, offering you a bottle of water.
“What did you give to me?” You ask, panting. As soon as the water touches your tongue you reach for the bucket, your body rejecting it immediately.
Jimin blinks innocently. “Sleeping pills.”
“Fuck off, that wasn’t the… same bottle.”
“Y/n, you’re sick and grieving, it’s understandable that your eyes are playing tricks on you-”
“No. You… poisoned me!” You summon what strength you have left and swipe at the nurse, who’s now leaning over you. Your fingers catch the silver chain around his neck, and the motion knocks the locket open.
Fluttering out of the locket and onto your bandaged chest is… hair?
No, not hair. Your hair. The color, and texture… it’s exactly the same.
You’re missing a chunk of hair, I’m guessing from the accident, the nurse had said.
Not from the accident. Almost in slow motion, your eyes travel up to meet Jimin’s.
“Y/n, you’re acting erratic.” As if nothing happened, he plucks your hair from the bed, tucks it back into the locket, and straightens his Santa hat. “I’ll have to tell the doctor to consider sedatives. Merry Christmas, Y/n.”
“No-” Your stomach contracts once more and by the time you look up, gasping for breath, he’s gone.
You spend another sleepless night in the hospital, growing more paranoid by the minute. You refuse to eat or drink anything you’re given – you’re still nauseous, and what if it’s full of sedatives?
When dawn breaks on Christmas Day, you’ve never felt less cheer. You’re concerned about Jimin; the car is surely a coincidence, but the hair? And the pills?
“Y/n?” Dr. Greene knocks on the door. “Merry Christmas. How are you feeling?”
“I want to get out of here,” you respond immediately.
Dr. Greene smiles. “We’ll see how you do moving around today. How’s your nausea?”
“Better,” you lie. Anything to leave. You can handle nausea at home.
“Wonderful. Well, Nurse Jimin will be taking care of you today, since your other nurses are off duty. Press the button if you need anything.”
You nod, shivering. Should you tell Dr. Greene? Before you can consider it, though, she’s left the room.
Hours later, Jimin pops his head in, his Santa hat crooked. The locket is still swinging from his neck.
“Hey! Dr. Greene said if you’re doing well by the end of the day, you might be discharged for tomorrow!”
You stare at him. Can he really pretend nothing is wrong? “Great.”
“Let’s get you up and walking around.” Jimin offers you his arm. At first you don’t want to take it, but your legs are too weak on your own. He slowly leads you out of your room and down the hall before circling back. You pass another window overlooking the parking lot and there, in the same spot, is the blue car. From this window, you can see much better.
“Which car’s yours?” you ask quietly.
“That blue Prius next to the white one,” he says cheerfully, pointing.
Finally, when you squint you can read the license plate: 7HLC946.
7HL. Your body stiffens. It’s the same car. Then, that means… you swivel slowly until you’re staring at Jimin, who’s still looking out of the window. He killed your husband.
He leads you back to your room. You feel frozen, and not from the wintertime. When you go inside, you hear a soft click. Your eyes widen. He locked the door.
“How are you feeling?” he asks softly from behind you.
“F-fine. Perfect,” you reply, your voice shaking.
“You know, you really have to stop getting yourself in trouble,” he says, strolling to the bed and smoothing down your sheets. Your eyes dart to the locked door. If you made a break for it with your cast, he could still beat you to it. “Every time you’re supposed to get discharged, something happens, and then who has to save you?”
“I’ve recovered,” you say firmly. Is it an ego thing? He wants credit for doing his job?
“Before, you always had your husband to save you,” Jimin says, standing. His eyes are drilling holes into you. “Do you know why he’d always see you off at the door?”
“Wh-what are you talking about?” “It’s so I couldn’t even look at you. He was always around, but not this time. And this time it was me that saved your life.” Jimin is advancing now, still smiling serenely. Your heart pounding, you back away, your cast clunking against the floor.
“It was you,” you whisper when your back hits the window. “Your car. You hit us.”
“Almost gave me a heart attack when I saw you remembered my plate,” he says now, examining his nails. “Lucky I saw it before your mother did. How is she, by the way?”
“You… you killed my husband!” Your scream is more animal than human when it rips from your throat. You’re fully prepared to leap at Jimin and take the life he took from Taehyung when he pulls out a syringe.
“Shhh…” he says, stepping forward. “What did I say about sedation?”
Your blood runs cold. You don’t want to know what’s in the syringe, or what he’d do to you if he injected you with it.
Caught between him and the window, you freeze. You have to get away from him. You turn around and swing your heavy cast at the window.
With a painful CRASH, the glass shatters. Shards fly everywhere, several of them catching and slicing your skin. You hear commotion outside and below as you shoot for the window and try to grab onto the windowsill. You nearly sob when the glass in your grip breaks off the windowsill. Almost… just like your dream of the cliff, though, you’re dragged back from the escape. Jimin locks one arm around your neck and pulls you away from the window.
You feel a sharp prick in your arm and, seconds later, your muscles seem to melt. If Jimin weren’t supporting your weight you would have fallen. Shit. What did he do to you?
“It’s for your own good, my love,” he says, carrying you to the bed and tucking the blankets in around you. Your tongue feels too heavy for your mouth; you can’t speak, and you can barely move your arms.
There’s a loud banging on the door. “Y/n! Are you alright?”
“One second,”Jimin says to you before striding to the door and opening it.
“Jimin! What happened?” The voice belongs to a doctor you don’t recognize.
“Hey, Dr. Kim. Y/n started being combative and went for the window. Luckily, I got her calmed down and back into bed.”
Help. Your vocal chords won’t respond to you. “Hhe…”
“Goodness. We should get her moved out while the window is being repaired.” “I agree, but she did just fall asleep and she hasn’t slept in a while. I suggest giving her an hour.”
“Alright, well, please keep an eye on her.”
“Sure thing, Doctor.” Jimin shuts the door and locks eyes with you.
“I’ve waited for you for a while, you know,” he says, sitting on the edge of the bed. His position pins down your left arm, but your right is still free. If only you could move it. “You never got sick, or hurt. I checked. You never even came to visit.” Jimin continues smiling, but his eyes are cold. “That wasn’t very nice. It’s your fault that I had to make you come visit.”
“Stuh… you,” you gasp, forcing your head to clear. “Psy…” Let me go, you want to scream. You’re straining with the effort just to lift your head.
“I know, I know, why didn’t I just talk to you at your house? Well, your guardian was always there. But here, I’m in control. And I’m the one that can save you.”
You can sense feeling returning to your arms. If he keeps talking, it might give you more time to recover from your paralysis. Luckily, Jimin seems so relieved that he can finally tell you everything that he doesn’t seem close to shutting up.
“Do you know how many times your mother has thanked me for saving your life? How Dr. Greene said I was her favorite nurse?” Jimin caresses your cheek, becoming more animated as he speaks. “Even you, Y/n, you called me your angel.”
You try to bite him when his hand gets close, but your jaw muscles are slack. C’mon…
“And you’re right, I am your angel. I’m your guardian angel, and I’ll always keep you safe.” You can almost lift your hand. At his words, he leans in to kiss your forehead and with enormous effort, you use the same moment to lift and swipe your bloody hand, still gripping the jagged glass from the window, at him. The glass catches Jimin right in the neck and he gasps and sputters, pressing a hand to his throat as bright red blood gushes from the wound, spattering you and staining the bed. Meanwhile, you collapse, your strength entirely spent.
Jimin staggers upright, hand outstretched towards you. When he tries to speak, his voice is a mere gurgle.
“Y/n- you… no…” with that, he falls to the floor. You see him try and fail to rise again before Jimin sighs and is still at last.
How did you wind up here?
As you slump back into your bed, with him lying on the floor next to you, a hazy thought informs you that it must look like a scene straight out of Romeo and Juliet.
Although, you think ruefully, glancing down at the sharp shard of glass clenched in your fits, I don’t think Juliet would have done this.
“Merry fucking Christmas.”
🌩 Prince Elf! Shoto x Reader
Long ago in a land far away, was a small town that rested near a great forest. This was no ordinary forest, this forest was said to house all sorts of magical creatures, from the frail pixies to the lustrous Unicorns. All under the protection of the proud Elf people, the residents, and protectors of the forest and all its creatures. Many humans aren't allowed deep in the forest, not that they could find the great kingdom anyways. Any human with a wicked heart that entered the forest, were meet with terroirs and monsters. So many adults stayed away from the deepest parts of the woods, yet children would not report such things. Many saying they've seen all sorts of magical things, even some elves.
So the saying goes, the forest will only show its wonders to those clean of heart.
A young child named Y/n, wandered into those forests to see the creatures herself. As she went deeper into the forest, she soon came across a beautiful waterfall.
Y/n stared in awe as she approached the waterfall. As she approached Y/n noticed a small figure sitting in the middle f the lake. The closer she got Y/n could see it was a young elf dressed in fine clothing, he looked like a young prince. The young elf seemed to notice the girl too, as he slightly glared at her.
Y/n getting the memo, stayed on her side of the forest, and the Elf boy minding his own business. So Y/n sat down by the lake's edge and weaved a bunch of flower looms into her basket. As the two sat quietly, some small woodland creatures slowly started to approach the young girl. From rabbits to the ever-shy unicorn, slowly approached the young human. Y/n smiled brightly as she offered a bright red apple to the pure white unicorn.
Shoto couldn't help but feel a little envious, not even the "bravest" by unicorn standards want to approach him. So he slowly got closer to the girl and the critters, only for the creatures to notice his presence and quickly scatter.
Y/n looked up at the young elf boy, now that he was close she could see more unique features to him. How his hair is half red and half white, along with the most beautiful heterochromatic eyes. "Umm, Good day to you," Y/n greeted with a smile.
Shoto surprised by her warm greeting didn't really know how to respond. Most human youths ran away from him at the mere presence of him. "Umm, hi," was all he could utter.
"Umm, it must be pretty nice. Living with all the unicorns and other creatures," Y/n smiled bashfully.
"I guess, though most of the time they run away from me," Shoto said plainly.
"Why is that?" Y/n asked curiously.
"Cause my aura, it too much like my father's," Shoto said with a hint of hate in his voice.
"Your Father must be scary and powerful," Y/n commented.
"Is the king of the elves for a reason," Shoto said nonchalantly.
"So you're a prince then? So what's it like?" Y/n asked.
"None of your business," Shoto answered.
"Oh, sorry. Umm, I work at a baker, to earn money for my friends and me in the orphanage. You should try out berry muffins sometimes... Oh, that's why I'm here," Y/n gasped with wide eyes. " I forget I came here to collect fruits and berries."
"Well umm... There is one place you could go," Shoto said slowly.
"Oh, where?" Y/n asked.
"I... I'll show you," Shoto said as he dragged Y/n into the forest.
Shoto soon leads her to an opening in the forest, filled with bushes with alerts of berries and trees that bore loads of fruits. Y/n's eyes widened in awe at the many fruits and berries all in one place. She happily pulled Shoto with her as they started collecting berries left and right.
Shoto not used to peasant work got cut on the thrones; making his hands look like they were attacked by an angry cat. His sleeves didn't fare well either. Y/n gasped in shock as she looked at Shoto's cut-up hands. The girl quickly pulled out her handkerchief and wrapped his bloodied hands.
Shoto's heart pounded in his chest at this human girl's kindness. Her hands were so warm and gentle, a feeling he hasn't received in a very long time.
"There, all better. Umm, you probably still need to clean it, tho," Y/n smiled as she kissed his knuckle.
"W-why did you do that?!" Shoto gasped as he pulled his hands away.
"I'm kissing them better. That's what my mommy does when I get hurt," Y/n explained.
Shoto's ears and cheeks were a bright red as his heart fluttered in his chest. Yet soon the two noticed that the sun was reaching the horizon, so with a heavy heart, Shoto led Y/n to the edge of the forest. As Y/n turned to leave she felt Shoto's hand still gripped onto her wrist.
"Shoto?" Y/n asked.
"Will you come back soon?" Shoto asked as he looked at his feet.
"Sure, if my Caretaker lets me," Y/n smiled.
Shoto hesitantly released her as Y/n quickly ran off to her family home and bakery. From that day on Y/n would visit the forest and shout every week or so. Just to explore the forest with all different parts of the forest, and spend time together. As the two grew, Shoto's feelings for this human also grew.
But one day, on Y/n's 13th birthday, she fell horribly sick. In desperation, her orphanage brothers and sisters worked harder than ever to earn the money to cure there, friend and sister at heart. Even if it meant sending her to the faraway capital. While Shoto waited and waited for his beloved Human to return to him, yet she never came. Their once lush and lively secret waterfall becomes a snowy wasteland. The trees had long perished, the water had completely frozen over, and the animals had long fleed that small section of the forest.
The other elves grew worried, yet fearful of the young prince. His ice powers were out of control and harming the woods around him, not even his father could reverse the ice magic. Shoto sat at the snowy waste of the waterfall, his heart hardened in disappear.
"Why have you abandoned me Y/n," He sobbed quietly to himself.
As he grew, so did his power and his curse. The once beautiful and mysterious forest was consumed by eternal snow and winter.
-----------------
After a few years, Y/n slowly recovered and returned to her home in the orphanage, where her family at heart welcomed her back with open arms. She was slightly surprised by the sudden change of the once magical forest, but sadly she could risk getting sick again. So with a heavy heart avoided the snowy forest.
Though she would wonder the edge, in hopes that Maybe her elf friend would appear. Yet he never did, at least from what she saw. She was completely unaware of the heterochromatic eyes watching her every movement.
"You've finally returned, Y/n," He sighed with lovesick awe. " It's finally time to claim my queen."
---------------
"Are you sure you don't need anything Y/n?" Deku asked. Y/n's long-time friend in the orphanage.
"I'm fine Deku, thanks to you and the others I was able to get the care I needed," Y/n smiled.
Deku's heart fluttered in his chest. The two grew up together in the orphanage, worked together in the same barkery, and was the one who worked the hardest to earn money for Y/n. Seeing his long-time crush happy and well was enough for him.
"Wow, it's really snowing out there isn't it," Y/n said as she stares out at the blizzard outside.
"Yeah, one could almost forget it's supposed to be summer," Deku said with slight concern.
"What happened during the time I was gone?' Y/n wondered to herself.
As night fell everyone in the orphanage was preparing for bed, as Izuku helped Y/n to bed for she was still weak in recovery.  The snowy wind howled against the old orphanage building as Izuku tried to keep the fire going.
Then suddenly the windows and doors slammed open as the snow and wind rushed through the building. The fire was quickly blown out and the room was cast in darkness. Deku began to panic as he knew the chill could kill Y/n, but as he turned to Y/n; there stood a tall figure holding her sleeping form gently. The boy and two different colored hair and eyes, and wore expensive attire. Izuku noticed the boy's pointed ears and Crown made of gold and silver, it was the Elf king.
Shoto held his beloved delicately as he wielded his ice magic to form a beautiful tiara of ice on her head. With a soft kiss on her forehead, the two vanished in the gust of snow.
" Y/N!!" Izuku gasped as he quickly stood and ran the window, and saw that the snow had stopped suddenly
