Tumblr media
george weasley is your best friend. you met at hogwarts in your second year and by your fifth year your feelings for your best friend were less than platonic. it's frustrating being in love with your best friend, you know it's wrong and he doesn't think of you that way but at the same time you don't really blame yourself george is amazing and it's no wonder you fell for him.
george loves you and it's so obvious to everyone, at least everyone that isn't you. george is sweet and kind but with you he takes it to another level yet you're so oblivious. he's your best friend of course he's going to be more touchy with you, right?
george always pulls you towards when you're walking down corridors together, he puts his arms around you and brings you to his side when you're sitting next to each other but in your eyes it's just george being comfortable around you. he even kisses you cheek and forehead and you brush it off. george is incredibly tender with you, holding your hand gently and complimenting you everyday. "you look very pretty today love" and "another o? you're so clever sweetheart." you think those affectionate nicknames are just between best friends though, you do call him georgie when the only other person who does so is fred.
he spends his spare time with you and makes time for you between pranking. george loves it when you help him with his pranks by giving him ideas, he knows you typically try to stay away from getting properly involved worried that you'll get into trouble but he loves when you praise him about how brilliant his pranks are and how creative he is. george always makes sure that fred doesn't prank you, the last time fred pranked you was in their third year and george was pissed off, not wanting to talk to him for days. it was a harmless prank but he didn't want you to be the target of their pranks.
george comforts you whenever you need it, sometimes you can get emotional and he'll be your support. if classes are getting you down he'll be there next to you, holding you in his arms after class while you lay on his bed while he tells you about how rubbish the teacher is and how stupid the subject is, "don't let it get you down sweetheart, so what if you got a d in astronomy? sinistra is just terrible, she's even worse than snape." you knew he didn't think that but it still brought you comfort.
if someone says something mean to you they'll suffer with some harsher prank. when he overheard zacharias smith talk bad about you he made him pay the next quidditch match the gryffindors had with hufflepuffs, george focuses more on aiming any bludgers towards smith than any other hufflepuff.
george knew you'd always be friends, no matter how many hints he gave, you'd only see him as your best friend. sometimes he thinks he has a shot when he swears he sees you look at him the way he looks at you but he dismisses it. he's happy to be your best friend and he hopes that however you end up will treat you well, just as long as you don't end up liking... "i can't help it, i know i should be trying to get over him but i love him so much." he hears your voice. "he's just perfect, he's so sweet and always looks after me. he's so good at quidditch and he's so popular... i know i don't have a chance. his red hair is so hot and i lay in bed at night thinking about his lips." george hears the laughter of your friends and his heart breaks.
you deserve to be happy, you do, but the one person he wishes you didn't fall for was his twin. george feels like everyone prefers fred, george has felt second best all his life and at the end of the day george is insecure and you're one of the only person who knows this. he goes to leave not wanting to hear anything else you have to say. "he's my best friend." george immediately stops, "i mean it's george bloody weasley. he's amazing and i'm just me." george grins and he's so glad he took his time walking away before you carried on speaking.
at dinner that night he comes up to you and whispers in your ear, "come to the room of the requirement later love." you nod your head and later on you're worried that you'll get caught out of your common room after hours but you trust george and you'll risk getting into trouble if it meant spending time with him. when you arrive to the room of requirements you're shocked by the display. george has set up a midnight feast with hot chocolate for you both to warm you up, a blazing fire, a big comfy sofa and big bed. basically a big room where you can relax for the night with george. "this is amazing georgie."
george's heart is beating incredibly fast as goes to stand next to you. "i'm so glad you think so." you see pink dusting his cheeks and wonder if the room is too warm for him. he gently picks up your hand and places it on his chest where you can feel his racing heartbeat. your eyes widen as you get worried but before you can ask him if he's okay he starts speaking. he cups your cheek in his his hand, "i love you," he presses a soft kiss on your lips causing you to gasp at his confession.

IS THAT WRONG?
Pairings: George Weasley x Fem!reader Summary: George and you tend to sleep and cuddle in the same bed. Warning: none?
Tumblr media
you always found it normal, it was like an instinct to you
you've been doing it since you were kids, and over the years it just felt natural.
it started when you first came to the Burrow, you guys were 8, Fred and George invited you over for a sleepover.
you played the whole day together and when it came to bedtime, Molly said you would probably have to take the couch as there was no more room.
But George said you could share his bed, so you climbed into his bed and he set up a pillow wall inbetween you both.
you were woken up by the sound of a loud thunder and the flashing lights of the lightning. It was an understatement to say you were scared of storms, you were terrified.
you woke up George by your light sobbing and he found you under the covers, shaking.
he removed the pillow wall and put them on the floor. he pulled you closer to him, whispering that you were ok and safe. that when he's there, nothing will be able to hurt you.
you latched yourself onto him and he held you in his arms. letting you fall asleep.
from then on, when there was a storm, he would hold you and make sure you felt safe.
when you got to Hogwarts, that didn't change, the first time it stormed in your first year, you tried your best to just sleep but you couldn't. so you went to his dorm room and opened the door, finding his bed and crawling in to it, curling up next to him.
the movement woke him up and he cursed, scared by someone in his bed with him suddenly
"I'm sorry" you apologised, explaining the storm.
he wrapped his arm around you and went back to sleep after telling you it was ok.
that morning he said that if there was a storm and you couldn't sleep, to just go there to him and he'll keep you safe.
later on throughout the years you often found yourself just going to his room anyway, it started off just because you couldn't sleep, then because you felt like it, now it's just because you like it.
you like feeling safe and protected in his arms. you liked feeling his warmth and comfort. you liked it, and he liked it too, he, on the rare occasion will come to your room to sleep with you if you didn't go to his.
you and George's roommates didn't mind at first. in the first few years they thought it was cute, you guys found comfort in each other, they found it sweet.
but now that you're in your 6th year, they began to find it odd.
weird, even. I mean your friend Angie, who you shared a room with thought it was still cute, but that's because she found the idea of you two together cute. but she still felt like it was weird. and something about it was wrong.
you guys weren't together, it was only platonic, but the way you two entwined with each other while sleeping was strange to say the least, but you and George didn't think that.
even when you had a boyfriend for a bit in your 5th year, you still went to George in the night.
neither of you ever questioned it.
so when Fred finally brought it up with his twin, George grew curious and confused. there was nothing wrong with it.
"what do you mean it's weird?" George questioned his brother
"friends don't do that type of thing" Fred informed him "it's just not- it's odd"
"it's not odd, it's normal" George shrugged
"it would be normal if you were dating, not if you're only friends" Fred tries reasoning
"we're best friends" George corrected
"that doesn't make it any better- you know what, forget I said anything" Fred sighed
-
George thought about that for the rest of the day. was it really that weird, or was it just Fred that thought that?
so when he heard you come into his room that night, softly walking towards his bed, he started wondering.
he watched your figure crawl into his bed and curl up next to him
"hey" he mumbled, wrapping his arms around you as you snuggled into his chest
"hey, Georgie" you whispered
he looked down as you tangled your legs with his, your hand in his hair.
he stared at you, the moon hitting your figure perfectly.
he drew shapes on your side with his fingers gently, hearing you hum at the contact. he smiled down at you as you rested.
after a while of thinking about it, George wanted to discuss it with you
"hey Y/n?" he shifted, getting more comfortable, you groaned in protest before humming in response.
"is it wrong?" he questioned.
you moved, moving your hand from his hair, eyes remaining closed
George felt bad, you were just trying sleep and he was laying there, admiring you, wondering why you two do this.
"is what wrong, Georgie?" you grumbled
"this"
you fell silent, and he wondered if you fell asleep
"Love?" he nudged you
"huh?" you whined
"do you think it's weird that we sleep together?" he interrogated quietly.
you moved away from him, opening your eyes as you yawned
"do you?" you inquired tiredly
"no" he responded shortly
"then why are you asking?" you frowned
"I don't know, you don't think it's wrong?" he leaned up, supporting himself on his elbows
"well now I'm starting to" you rubbed your eyes
you both went quiet for a moment, making it awkward
"I'll just stop coming over then, if that makes you feel better" you removed the covers and starting getting up off of his bed, he reached up and grabbed your wrist
"no, no, I like it. come back" he pulled you back into his bed. he put the covers over you and held onto you, resting his head on your chest
"I don't know, Fred was saying it wasn't normal. that friends shouldn't do this. it's a couples thing" he told you. he felt your hands in his hair again, and he felt himself begin to relax.
"well then you should know what to do" you shrugged
you weren't gonna deny your feelings for him, after all the late nights where he would hold you and tell you he's there for you, you couldn't help but wish you guys were something more
luckily, George always felt the same deep down, how could he not. the way you curled up next to him, your hand resting on his chest, right on his heart. it made his heart beat faster, and he was sure you could feel it.
"what should I do?" he questions cluelessly
"you should ask her out, that's what" you heard Fred but in from his bed
"Fred?" George sat up, looking over to his brothers friend
"don't try to deny it. you both fancy each other." the older twin said casually as he turned in his bed
you and George both looked at each other, seeing the love and care in your eyes.
"do you- uh, Hogsmeade? t-"
"yes" you cut him off, smiling up at him. he smiled back, laying back doing, holding you in his arms.

Tis the Season... Mistletoe Season
Tumblr media
Pairing: George Weasley x Best Friend!reader
Characters: Fred Weasley, George Weasley, Best Friend!reader, Ginny Weasley, Molly Weasley, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Arthur Weasley (briefly mentioned), Bill Weasley (briefly mentioned), Harry Potter (briefly mentioned)
Warnings: Shenanigans, this is crack I swear, use of mistletoe, Reader is late to the crushing on a Weasley twin game, fluff, slight angst (at the end), reader has the best friendships with the twins, mentions of the war, mentions of... Fred (I somehow can’t not mention him when I write for George)
Word Count: 2,256
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“I know someone who has a crush on you,” Fred whispers in a sing song tune.
You don’t look up from your essay, adding a coma where you see it needs to be. “Are you sure that it isn’t you, Fredbear?”
“I still prefer Fred the one with Fabulous,” he lifts his hand, swishing his hair all about. “Hair but whatever.” Fred yanks the nearest chair and sits on it with his arms crossed.
“No, no, no,” you repeat. “No sitting.”
“And, why not? You saving it for someone? The real someone who has taken a liking to you for some reason.” You scoff, shoving his shoulder. “I’ll have you know, Fred that I’m a delight.”
He nods, pretending to listen as he stares off into the space in front of you. “You still coming over?”
“And break Molly and Arthur’s hearts? No thanks mate. I’m not that crazy.”
“Same time?”
You think about it for a minute. “You mean when you drag me home with you?”
“Yes.”
“Same time.”
“You better be ready or else I’m leaving without you.”
“You’re the one that’s late. Last time, I went out and you weren’t there so then I figured you’d forgotten because you had other plans involving your pranks and I went to Diagon Alley.”
“I was on time,” he scoffs.
“You showed up three days late.”
“Whatever. You better have everything you need before you come over.”
“I will because I’m leaving Hogwarts with the Weasley clan.”
“You are?”
You nod, returning your attention to your homework. “I am, I’ve already written to your mum about it, and she can’t wait.”
“I don’t know if I should be concerned or not that you’ve talked to her.”
You turn towards him, head resting in your palm, fingers curled settling on your cheek.
The sarcastic and dark smile sends a shiver down his spine. “And you wonder why I don’t invite you to help George and I with pranks.”
“Oh, shut it!” You shove his shoulder. “You lie.”
“I would never,” he says with his right hand over his heart. “Scouts honor.”
“You have no idea who or what the scouts.”
“Harry said it.”
“Ah.”
-
You barely walk through the hallway to your usual meeting spot with Fred when you hear his voice.
“Finally. Let’s go.”
You scoff, “can’t even be a charming mate and help me with my bag. You can clearly see I’m struggling here.”
Before he could respond, someone took your bag from you. “Thank you, George. I’ll buy you a chocolate frog as repayment for your kindness.”
His brothers jaw drops open.
“Don’t you start with me, Fred. Your brother has been more helpful than you, therefore he deserves a nice treat before we go home to the chaos.” You start walking ahead of the two, not wanting to hear Fred being a little shit.
“Told you.”
“Told me what,” George grumbles, hoping that the cold air will take away some of the warmth from his cheeks before you could see.
“She fancys you. Why is this so hard for you to understand?”
“Her offering to get me something on the train doesn’t mean she likes me.”
“The only other time she got someone a chocolate frog was our second year and she bought it for that idiot Bobby.”
George pauses, taking in this new information he’s just learned. “Wasn’t he the bloke who stood her up?” He continues to walk towards the train.
“Exactly,” Fred nods. “She liked him, so she bought him a chocolate frog. Now she likes you and wants to buy you a chocolate frog.”
“Maybe- Maybe she’s just being nice.”
“I’m nice but I don’t buy people chocolate.”
“That’s because you eat it all before anyone can get to it like the toad you are.”
“That was uncalled for!” Fred shouts, chasing after his brother.
-
You turn around, realizing neither of them are behind you only to run into something.
“Sorry,” his voice comes out quiet.
You lift your head from his chest and realize it’s George. You shake your head, smiling at him. “It’s alright, better you than the other one.”
He chuckles.
“Are you alright though?” You step back, placing your hands on his forearms as you check him out, making sure he’s not injured. “Oh, you’re looking a little red. Are you sick?”
He shakes his head, lowering it to hide his embarrassment. “I’m fine.” A piece of paper slides by his foot. “Look up. Tis’ the season.”
He can hear Fred snickering off to the side, his nerves are teetering closer to the edge of full-fledged embarrassment. He slowly lifts his head to find a bundle of Mistletoe beside you. He walks away from you, rushing over to Fred so he can bear him or spell him, whichever comes first.
You notice the note and bundle, covering your mouth to hide your nervous and excited smile.
George comes back, his hand on your back as he guides you onto the train. “Let’s go.”
“Are you sure you’re, okay?”
“Would be better if my brother would stop being such a prat.”
“Good to know we agree on something. Oh.”
“What is it?”
“Sit with me and you’ll find out.”
“Prank Fred?”
You nod, a wide smile dancing across your lips.
“Good.”
“I have a notebook full of ideas.”
“Perfect.”
He finds an empty seat for three even though you’ll both try to kick his brother out. “Let’s get started, shall we?”
“Hey, can I-”
“No.”
“I’m your brother, Georgie. Let me sit with you.”
“No.”
“That’s rude to say to your best friend.”
“I have George, that seems like plenty of company to me.”
“Why do you hate me?”
“Should we let him in before he causes a scene?” You ask him.
“If we do, we won’t be able to plan anything.”
“I know what to do. Don’t you worry about that.”
He stops when he notices you two have stopped whispering.
“Come in and shut it.”
“Good. I was worried I’d have to do something Ronnykins in order to have a seat.”
You roll your eyes. “Shut up.”
“Gladly... but-” Fred raises his hands when he sees your glare. “Alright, alright. I’ll shut up now.”
-
“Oh, look at you, dear.” Molly greets you with a smile, arms wide open for a hug. “Have they been feeding you?”
“Fred stresses me.”
“Oh, that won’t do. Fred!”
You snicker into her embrace.
The boy hops down from the last few steps, wondering why he’s being called down like he’s in trouble until he sees you.
Now it all makes sense.
“Why have you been putting stress on your friend?”
“What? Stress? I haven’t-”
“Don’t try and deny it. Look at her.”
“She looks fine.”
“Fred Weasley! You little-”
You sneak away while your friend whines. You stare up, knowing that he’s around here somewhere.
His head pops over the railing, his arms crossed as he leans over slightly.
You give him an okay hand signal with a nod.
He smiles, waving you up.
You look back, making sure no one is watching so you can escape.
He backs away from the railing, leaning against the wall as he waits for you.
You snicker as your foot touches the last step, “Oh that was too funny.”
“It was. It’ll be funnier later.”
“I hope so. Do you think he'll know it was us?”
He shrugs, “maybe. Maybe not. He’s gonna try and blame us but we won’t break, right?”
You shake your head and hold your hand out for him, “I’ve got your back as long as you have mine.”
He shakes your hand, holding onto it longer than a normal person would.
Ginny’s voice travels up as she runs up the stairs bringing you two out of your mini staring contest.
‘He has really pretty eyes- oh no.’ “Uh- I gotta- bye.” You pass the youngest Weasley and run down the stairs.
You stop in the kitchen, resting your back against the wall. ‘I fancy my best mate’s brother, who’s also my best mate.’ “Oh Merlin,” you head falls back, resting against the wall.
“What’s got you all flustered?” a mumbled voice comes from beside you.
Your head snaps over at his. “Noth-nothing Ron. All good here,” you give him a nervous smile.
He narrows his eyes at you, taking another bite out of his snack.
“Ignore him,” Fred shoves the boy away from you. “Good plan you two created back there. You should be proud.”
You narrow your eyes at him, ignoring him as you search for your bag.
“What’s got you all red? You’re face practically matches my hair.”
You march in front of him, index finger a mere few centimeters away from his chin. “Shut up.”
“Calm down,” he pushes your hand away from him.
All of a sudden, he’s on the ground and you’re being pulled away.
“Wha- George?!”
He sheepishly smiles. “I’m back.”
Neither of you say anything.
“Would you two look at that? Why is that- Hermione, is that what I think it is?”
The girl stares at him with furrowed brows, unsure of why she’s been brought over and then she sees it.
A quiet, “oh,” escapes her. “If you’re talking about mistletoe, then I do believe your right, Fred.”
“And what is that?” You ask, jaw clenched.
A mischievous smirk takes over, “if I remember correctly when I asked Harry, which I do. You and whoever stands under the mistletoe must share a kiss and not- not on the cheek or the forehead or anywhere else. I know you and loopholes.”
“That,” you point up to the bundle, “that is- is holly.”
“No, it’s not.”
“No, it’s not,” you whine.
“Fred,” George starts.
“No, Georgie boy. You’re not getting out of it today.”
“Out of what?” You ask him.
“Oh, look at that. Ron’s choking- we’re coming to save you brother of mine. Have fun, you two.”
“What did he mean by that?”
“Huh? Oh, nothing,” he rocks on the balls of his heels.
“Liar.”
“Well, now that’s just rude-”
You take a step closer to him. “How is it rude?”
“You called me a liar with no proof,” he tells you, also taking a step forward.
“Well, maybe it’s because I know you and I know when you’re lying.”
“Only Fred can do that.”
“You forget, I can tell the two of you apart.”
He nods, eyes focusing on your lips. “You can.”
You try to respond with a witty comeback only to feel his lips smashed against yours. It takes you a second for your brain to process his movements but before he can pull away, you eagerly return the kiss.
“Finally… wait, does this mean you two are gonna be doing this all the time?” Fred has the audacity to ask (when he was the one pushing you two to get closer for the last few months.
You two part, his hands on your waist, yours wrapped around his neck. You share a look with him and glances back at your friend.
“Yes,” the two of you say in sync.
“Oh, Merlin.”
You giggle, turning to look at George again. “Good holiday so far?”
“Best one before I ask you a question.”
“Hmm. What’s that?”
“If I tell you now, it’ll ruin the surprise.” You pout but he makes it up by showering you in affection.
-
After Fred and George decide to open WWW, Weasley Wizard Wheezes, he proposed to which you happily accepted and got married after the war.
You would have chosen to do it sooner had their older brother, Bill, not planned on getting married around that time.
But you both had something to honor him. You used the pin he secretly made when he found out George had begun to fancy you. It was a prototype then and once the shop was open and he had proper tools and supplies he was able to successfully make a one-of-a-kind hair pin that popped out a small veil.
The only reason you found it was because Fred had, at some point, stuffed it into your jacket pocket before you all left for Hogwarts.
You thought your fiancé had barely just fallen asleep when you began weeping as you read his note.
-
I always knew he would ask you to marry him and, look at that, I’m right. Ha!
This is the first and only of its design, don’t lose it or else I’m gonna be upset when it’s time.
Put it in place and it’ll work, I promise.
P.S. I better be best man. I don’t have the right figure for a maid of honor dress.
-
Warm arms and shaky hand pulled you close to him.
And George, he wore Fred’s friendship bracelet, the one you made (during one of your crafting stages) after the two of you decided you were gonna be friends and pranking partners, if there ever called for a time.
It was the only thing Fred wore on his wrist since it was “special”. Also, he would never switch with him if they pretended to be the other.
You two didn’t leave each other’s sides during this time but as time went on, you two slowly began to get help regarding your trauma while learning how to heal and not lose one another. It pains you to say but, it’s possible that your friend’s unfortunate death brought you two closer and more understanding of how special it is to know someone and have the kind of bond you two do.

ഒ status. unedited, not proofread
Tumblr media
it's come to my attention
that i don't show enough
it's only when i drink, i open up
you groaned after talking a swig from your cup full of firewhiskey. alcohol was never your favorite, it burned your throat and you had low tolerance. gryffindors had won the recent quidditch game so the twins decided to throw a party. they snuck in food from the kitchens and invited different students from other houses. you didn’t know how they managed to have alcohol, probably snuck it in from hogsmade.
it was late at night, and all the other students from other houses have left. only a couple of gryffindor kids were left who were either passed out, or still drinking with their fellow friends. meanwhile you and george were sprawled out on the couch in front of the fireplace, staring into it as the heat warmed up your faces. you were pretty drunk and still had half a glass left.
legs were tangled, head on each other’s head, drinks in hand, and enjoying each others’ companies.
“george?” you said.
he hummed to let you know that he’s listening. “what’s up love?”
“nothing, i just wanted to say that you look really pretty right now.”
it’s true, he looked gorgeous. the lighting from the fire brought out his features. his hooked nose, his freckles, and his red hair. the fire emitted a soft orange glow that made his hair look like fire. he chuckled softly and brought an arm around you to pull you even closer.
“i think you’re just drunk y/n.” george laughed softly.
“tch, you know what they say… drunk thoughts are sober feelings… or whatever it is.” slurring your words together, and taking another gulp of firewhiskey.
“you really think so?” george softly said while swirling his cup.
you whipped your head towards him almost knocking him out. you furrowed your eyebrows together in annoyance. “of course i do, i mean look at you.” you threw your arms out in exasperation.
“i mean who wouldn’t think you’re pretty? you have freckles like stars, i want to connect them with a pen one time and make constellations out of them. your hair is just like fire and red- and i love red, you should know this.” you rambled.
“its not just your face either, your whole personality is beautiful. and i just- you’re just so-.” you couldn’t finish because you bursted out in tears.
“y/n-.” george panicked and didn’t know what to do, but instead pulled you closer and rubbed your back.
“hey it’s okay…” you cried into his sweater, he let you not caring about your tears soaking his clothing.
this went on for 10 more minutes, with you sobbing and him comforting you. at last, he felt your breathing calm down and become even signaling him that you’re already asleep. george adjusted his position so you’re laying on his chest instead. he didn’t want to wake you up since you were already knocked out. luckily, there was a blanket on the couch and he laid that over the both of you.
he gently stroked your hair which calmed him down and knocked him out too.
but i promise that i love you
even with that hairdo
i’m sorry i made fun of it
it’s not your fault it looks like shit (like shit)
george has dragged you to his dorm so you could give him opinions on his outfit/hair for his date today. you didn’t want to, because one. you were jealous. two, it was with angelina johnson. nothing was wrong with angelina, other than her knowing you like george and her proceeding to ask him out.
it pissed you off and you wanted to just lay in your bed and daydream all day. you wanted to be the one who george was getting ready for, the one he was trying to impress, the one who-
“y/nnn.” a hand was waved in front of you.
“huh? sorry what were you saying georgie?” you looked up from staring at the bedsheets directly into george’s eyes.
“you okay? you were zoned out, i was calling your name like five times love.” george turned around again and fixed his hair in the mirror.
“i’m fine, its nothing. just busy thinking.” you waved it away and brought your knees to your chest. you wrapped your arms around your legs with your hands in george’s jumper sleeves, that you stole borrowed.
george knew it wasn’t nothing, but decided to not pull the topic out of you. he turned around and did jazz hands.
“so? how do i look? does my hair look okay?” he waited for your answer.
you blinked owlish at him and started laughing. “whaat?” george whined.
“you- you look so.” good. you wanted to tell him he looked amazing.
“so stupid. your hair looks like shit. it’s just sticking out. it looks like a crow’s nest.” you finally got the words out and sighed from laughing so much. “here cmere let me help you.”
you moved down his bed to sit at the edge while he bent down to your height so you could reach. after fussing with his hair and trying to make his hair stick you finally finished.
“there! as pretty as roses.” you laughed.
george adjusted, stood up, and looked in the mirror, admiring your work.
“great, thanks y/n. you’re the best.” he looked at you through the mirror and smiled. he grabbed your hand and took you outside. there was angelina waiting for george, who smiled at him when she saw him.
you let go of george’s hands and whispered to him ‘good luck’. to which he smiled warmly at you and mouthed ‘thanks’. you watched from a distance as they both hugged each other and went on their ways to hogsmade.
hermione was just walking down the stairs from the dorms and saw you. “hey y/n, you okay?”
“hm? yeah i’m fine mione.” you smiled at the brunette.
she nodded not fully convinced, “do you want to go to hogsmade with ron, harry, and i?” she offered.
you shook your head, “no it’s okay, i have a lot of essays to do anyways. maybe next time?”
she nodded and gave you a huge hug. meanwhile, the portrait door swung open and came in harry and ron.
“bloody hell did you see george’s hair? it looked like shi-.” a whack sound echoed.
“ow! hermione!” ron rubbed his shoulder where hermione hit him.
“ronald, shut up.” hermione rolled her eyes. meanwhile you were laughing. “i told him that, and i fixed it for him. so basically, you’re insulting my work ronald.” you had your wand up.
ron shuddered and backed away to hide behind harry. “you ready hermione?” harry asked while rolling his eyes at ron.
“yes, we’ll see you later y/n! bye!” the golden trio waved goodbye and went to hogsmade. you went up to your dorms and decided to distract yourself with work, ‘maybe next time, i’ll be the one going with george’.
i have never tolerated someone for so long
i’ve never laughed so much
i haven't written a sad song
"can you believe it? we're in 6th year already!" fred exclaimed as he pushed his trolley.
molly was busy with fussing with ginny and checking to make sure all of her kids have their belongings.
you laughed and pushed your trolley next to the twins' "i know! one more year and we're out of here!"
"y/n, can you believe it? this is our sixth year together." george smiled at you.
you thought to yourself 'yeah and six years of me liking you'.
"yeah time goes by so fast, i can't believe i've tolerated you and fred for so long." you laughed and reached the two platforms 9 and 10.
"alright y/n, dear, go on first." molly appeared behind you and placed a hand on your shoulder.
you smiled warmly at her and proceeded to run towards platform 9 3/4. and there is was, the good ol' hogwarts express, bellowing and all red.
you took a deep breath, but before you were able to move, george's trolley almost crashed into you.
thankfully, he noticed and turned it so he could bump into you instead of the trolley.
"woah there love!" he exclaimed and proceeded to catch the both of you before falling.
"george watch where you're going." you scolded him and picked up a package that fell off.
he rubbed the back of his neck and gently took the box from you, all flushed from embarrassment. "sorry love, didn't know you were still there. maybe you should have hurried."
the rest of the weasleys along with harry, whom they met with when you were already through the wall, boarded the train with all their belongings.
you and the twins got inside a compartment and settled down. you and george on one side, while fred on the opposite.
"so. do you two have any plans this year? any new pranks?" you asked.
fred thought for a moment, "well love, we do... only this time it's a secret." he winked at you.
your jaw dropped. this is the first time they've done a prank without you in it. well, it would be okay you thought. maybe this year you'd graduate without any detentions.
"not fair." you complained.
george laughed, "don't worry y/n. it's just one prank that you won't know about."
you gasped. "are you going to prank me??" you screeched.
fred covered his ears and winced, while george was just doubling over in laughter.
"no love- not this time." george said in between laughs.
it was fred's turn to gasp. "george george, do you remember the last time we pulled a prank on our dear y/n."
george put on a mischievous smile, "no fred, i don't recall. care to explain it to me?"
you flushed in embarrassment already knowing what it was.
"hey! you two stop it alright? it was embarrassinggg." you whined.
george and fred were dying of laughter, tears were forming in their eyes.
they sighed and wiped away stray tears. one eye contact. and another wave of laughter hit them.
they looked so stupid you decided to join in on the laughter.
there’s no one else I'd rather fall asleep with
and dream with
you’re my best friend in the world
you and george were on top of the astronomy tower, on a blanket to celebrate your friendaversary. you both were laughing from stories in the previous years of your friendship.
"oh that reminds me," george paused and went to take something out of his pocket.
"what? what is it?" you asked and tried looking what was in his hand.
he shushed you and told you to close your eyes.
you closed your eyes hesitantly and huffed out air. "george if you prank me right now, we're not best friends anymore."
he just chuckled at you, "don't worry my love, i won't do anything to hurt you."
he grabbed your wrist gently and made you open your hand.
he placed the object in the palm of your hand and told you to open your eyes.
inside of your hand laid a beautiful silver/gold bracelet with your initials engraved on it. on the back was the day you two met and became friends.
"oh my god, it's beautiful georgie." he took it out of your hand and proceeded to put it on your wrist.
after that he pulled his jumper sleeve up to show you his matching bracelet, along with the date and his initials.
you smiled so much that your cheeks started to hurt, and leapt onto george to give him the biggest hug. unfortunately he wasn't prepared and proceeded to fall onto the pillows and blanket.
he let out an 'oof' and wrapped his arms around you.
"thank you george. i can't thank you enough." you said into his neck which made him shiver and flush.
"you're welcome, y/n." he rubbed circles into your back and the two of you fell asleep.
when we're ninety-eight and ninety-nine (ninety-nine)
tumbling down the stairs
you'll barely catch me in time (tumbling down)
you were bundled up in your blankets slightly sniffling. you were supposed to go to hogsmade today but got stood up. so here you were in your bed, being all depressed.
a knock interrupted your self pity, a soft voice spoke through the door. "y/n? love, are you okay?"
you knew it was george so you sluggishly, walked to open the door.
"hey-." his voice cut off when he saw you with puffy and red eyes. with tear marks all over you cheeks.
his heart broke in two, he hated seeing you cry.
"hey, hey what happened?" george moved his hands to your face to wipe your tears away.
"i got stood up today." you managed to get out.
he was pissed, who would want to stand you up? someone fucking stupid that's who. he didn't say anything put moved you aside to step inside your dorm and pulled you to your bed.
he sat you down and handed you your stuffed animal.
he sat down beside you and sighed. "they're not worth crying over love. they're a bloody fucking idiot. i'm going to kill them. thankfully, there's a quidditch game next week. i'm going to fucking destroy them."
you placed a gentle hand on george's and shook your head. "s' okay george, don't worry about it."
he was about to say something but stopped himself when he turned his head towards you, and was greeted by a small sad smile.
you sighed loud and fell back on your mattress.
"fuck love honestly, i hate it." george decided to lay down with you too and nodded.
"yeah screw love, who needs it." this was also a few months after angelina cheated on him.
you stared at the ceiling for a bit, when suddenly a thought came up.
"george?"
a hum was heard.
"what if we made a promise to each other?"
he propped himself up onto his hand to look down at you.
"and what might that be?"
"if by the time we're thirty, and we're both still single. we'll date each other."
he thought to himself, "okay, i promise."
he held out his pinky to you waiting for you to link yours.
you brought yours and wrapped your pinky around his and connected your thumbs together to seal the promise.
"imagine we're still alive at 99 and tumbling everywhere."
you let out a snort. you smiled and wiped the remaining tears away from your face.
"i like when you do that." george started to say.
"do what? snort?" you laughed.
"no, when you smile." george said.
"stop." you blushed and threw your stuffed animal in his face.
"hey!"
we’ll argue about what to watch on TV
finally pick a movie, then we'll fall asleep (asleep)
it was christmas break, and this time he was over at your house. he was was on the couch, hogging the shared a blanket while you were looking through
"okay what movie?" you asked while looking through the cds you had.
you pulled out 'tim burton's the nightmare before christmas'. "what about this one?" you waved it around.
george's nose scrunched, "isn't that a halloween movie?"
"no! it literally says 'nightmare before christmas', are you okay?" you rolled your eyes.
"do you have any other movies?"
you looked through the box, "mmm 'home alone'."
"yes let's watch that."
you put it back. "no we've watched that so many times."
"c'mon!" he threw his head back.
"oo what about 'edward scissorhands'?" you pulled the cd out.
"..."
"george what?" "nothing."
"you know what here." you grabbed all three cds and brought them to the small coffee table.
"okay georgie, close your eyes and pick one."
he put a hand over his eyes and shuffled around the cds. finally his hands covered one cd case. 'home alone'.
you internally groaned. meanwhile george was cheering.
"woohoo!" he got up and inserted the cd so it would play on the tv.
you got under the blanket and waited for your personal pillow to come sit on the couch with you.
while the movie was playing, you felt sleepy. one from boredom, and two from george playing with your hair.
you quickly fell asleep which made george chuckle, he was used to this so he laid his head ontop of yours and fell asleep as well.
we’ll still be a little bit strange
some things never change
"you still suck ass george weasley."
"i know y/n y/l."
it’s funny 'cause you drive me half insane
a universe without you would be thoroughly mundane
"what if i never went to hogwarts?" you stated out of the blue.
george's jaw dropped and he turned his head towards you.
"what did you say."
"what if i never went to hogwarts?" you repeated and fiddled with a piece of bread.
"i mean, i could've gone to beauxbatons. or what about ilvermorny, or what abou-." a piece of bread was stuffed into your mouth.
"shut up." george said flatly.
you chewed and swallowed. "it's just a what if question love. if my parents actually told me i'm going to either of those schools, i'd kill myself."
"y/n. just shut up." george grumbled.
you placed your elbow on the table to prop yourself up.
"george, i don't think there's ever been one universe, where we're not together. we'd always find each other. i can feel it."
george smirked teasingly. "you can feel it in your balls..?"
you whacked his shoulder.
"stop right now."
there’s no one else I'd rather fall in love with
and that is my best friend in the world
a hand waved in front of your face, you blinked a few times before answering.
"bloody hell you sure do space out a lot," lee laughed. "been trying to get your attention for the last five minutes."
"oh sorry lee, i wasn't paying attention." you closed your book.
you were watching the quidditch team practice for their game tomorrow and the twins told you to watch them.
"you've got a bit of a staring problem y/n." lee joked.
"what? no i don't." you opened your book again to distract yourself from lee.
he snorted, "yes, yes you do. to a specific weasley i might add. maybe... george perhaps?"
"PFFT, george? no. he's my best friend! it would ruin our friendship lee." you threw your hands out in exasperation.
he scoffed. "you two are so painfully oblivious. look there's your boyfriend making goo goo eyes at you right now."
you turned your head as quick as lightning and made eye contact with the one and only george weasley. he was holding his bat and winked at you.
you flushed badly and covered your face with your scarf.
"aww look at you two..."
"lee i will push you off of the stands and i will watch you fall." you threatened.
"woah okay calm down tiger." he laughed.
"well alright, i just came to check in on you. i'll see you in the common room later. bye y/n!" lee turned and went on his way back.
you caught yourself staring again at george, fantasizing all the things you could do if you dated. when suddenly a pang of realization hit you.
you were in love with your best friend.
and that best friend, so happened to be george weasley.
you’re my best friend in the world
"george, i just wanted to say i love you."
"i love you too darling." he smiled.
"no, i love love you."
"well i love love you too."
"no george, i don't think you understand. i'm in love with you."
"love i know, i'm in love with you too."

Y/N Pov
The Yule Ball is tonight and yet I still don't have a date. I sit in the great hall in study sessions next to my sister, Harry and Ron. Both Hermione and I are studying while Ron is going on about not having any date.
I look up and see Fred starting at me. Fred and I are really close, but I want to be more to him as a friend.
I then notice Fred gave Ron a note then Ron pasted it back to him.
I can't stop to think if Fred has a date to the Ball or if he is even going. For some reason it makes me sad to think that.
"Who are you going with then?" Ron whispered to he's older brother.
I watch as Fred threw the paper ball at Angelina and yet my heart starts to shatter in front of me as I watch Fred asked her to the Ball.
George he's twin gave a sad smile he is the only person knows about my crush on Fred and he swore to me he will not tell him or I will hex him if he do.
I then came back to the world as I hear Hermione my twin have a go at Ron saying she is not going alone and that she said yes. Hermione then left the great hall with her stuff.
"Bloody hell" Ron said then turn to me.
"Hey Y/N you going to the Ball right?" Ron asked me as I look in the corner of my eye to see Fred glaring at Ron.
"No I'm not going as I don't really have anyone to go with" I told him.
"Why don't you go with-" I was then cut off by Theodore Nott a Slytherin boy that has been following me into the library for some time.
"Hey Granger want to go to the Ball with me?" He asked I did get Fred looking at me but I had Ron, Harry and George look at me.
The thought of not having a date and watching Fred dance with he's date hurts me. I have been crushing on him since last year and one way to make him have attention is to make him jealous.
"Yes. Meet me at six down the stairs" I said with a smile.
"Will be waiting" he said with a smirk on he's face as he left.
I then packed up my stuff and said goodbye to the boys. As I step out of the great hall I hear my name being called I turn around to find Fred standing in front of me. With those eyes I love looking deep at me.
"What the Merlin bears was that!?" Fred asked as I look at him then wet my lips.
"What was what Fred?" I asked playing innocent with him. I know exactly what I was doing but I just want to see what he had to say.
"Oh you know exactly what I'm talking about Granger! Theodore Nott really of all people!" Fred said throwing he's arms in the air.
"Why do you care anyway Fred you got your date with Angelina so why can't I?" I asked with my brows frown together.
"That is different he's a Slytherin. He is bad-" Fred said and I cut him off.
"And your not. God Fred not all Slytherins are bad and if you are so jealous of us you should off-" I started but Fred cut me off.
"What? I should off what?" Fred asked.
"Next time there is a Ball asked me if I have a date before it's too late and not right in front of me you should asked someone else to go with you" I said I then felt tears hit to pour down my face.
My tears start to blur my vision as I look at Fred who is confused and red in the face.
"I would never asked you because you are my best friend" Fred said.
After he said that I turn around and ran away from Fred. I ran all the way back to the common room and up to my dorm that I share with Hermione and I drop my books buried myself into my pillows as I cry into them.
Never have I though my heart would break over a boy I have had a crush on since last year in the summer when I when to spend it with the Weasleys. I feel as I have not just lost the person I love but my best friend as well. I will always be he's best friend now my heart is shattering apart.
"Y/N what's wrong?" Hermione said walking in our dorm from our bathroom.
I look up at my twin to see she is already getting ready for the Ball and I am here crying my eyes out over a stupid Weasley boy.
"Um Fred and I got into a fight because Theodore Nott asked me to the Ball and I said yes" I explain as Mione sat down next to me on my bed.
"You going with Theodore Nott?" Hermione asked me.
"Yeah. I said yes because I have no one to go with and I didn't want to go alone. And it also hurts that Fred is going with another girl but I watch him asked the girl in front of me hurts" I explained to my twin.
Hermione eyes wide at what I told her and what I feel between Fred and I. I have not told anyone but George about this.
"How long have you like Fred?" Hermione asked as I chuckle at my sister's question.
"Since last Summer. I don't like him Mione my heart knows what I want" I said.
To me that's away to tell someone I love them. The amount of times I spend with him makes my feelings grow stronger and the amount of times he had touch my hand or arm it makes me go dizzy and feels as I am flying on a broom only to come back to him.
"Hey dry your tears and we are going to get ready and I'm going to speak with Fred and if that don't t work me and Ginny are going to torture Fred all the time until the next generation" Hermione said giving me a smile which made me laugh.
"Thanks twinie" I said to her.
"Anything for you twinie" Hermione said and then we do are secret hand shake we had since we were born.
But I will not let anything ruin my night over a stupid red head boy.
Fred Pov
"Frederick Fibion Weasley!" i jump at the sound of my sister coming into my dorm room. I kind of tighten my tie too tight as I was struggling for air but also scared of my sister. She reminds me so much of mom when she is angry and when she says my full name I know I'm in trouble.
"Hey Gin, what's up?" I asked losing my tie a bit while turning around to look at my piss off sister.
"What is up you say? Merlin you are a bloody idiot" Gin said crossing her arms over her chest.
"What did I do!?" I asked with my arms up in the air. I don't know what I have done to Ginny and I did nothing to her. All I would do is put spiders in Ron's bed but Ginny would not care.
"One word: Y/N" After Gin said Y/N name I groaned and rolled my eyes. I was only looking out for my friend. Y/N is my best friend and I never want to hurt her.
"Look Gin, Y/N is my friend and I was only looking out for her" I said but Ginny face when even redder then before. I'm so dead.
"Really! Well I got a fourteen year old crying her eyes out over a boy who doesn't have the dick to asked her to the bloody ball for fuck stake" I then when puzzle after those words. All I did was stare at my sister. Y/N does not like me or does she?
"What?" I asked. Ginny groan and smack my head trying to get some sense knocked into me but I was still puzzle.
"She likes you Freddie" George came into the room from the bathroom with the famous Weasley smirk on he's face.
"What? How to do you know?" I asked my twin.
George plop down on he's bed while smirking at me but he also feels a bit guilty.
"Y/N told me not to tell you or she will hex me but she has liked you since last summer" George said.
"And you go make the poor girl cry while you should got your head together and asked her yourself you dick" Ginny said giving me another smack in the head.
"Ow okay I'm sorry" I said putting my hands up in defence.
"Don't say sorry to me say it to Y/N or I will tell Mom" Ginny said and that moment my eyes grew wide. One thing I don't want is Mom finding out about this.
"Okay I will. I'll tell Y/N I'm sorry and that I love her" I then froze after realized what I said.
I have tried to keep my crush on Y/N a secret I have been afraid to tell her I love her because I don't want to ruin our friendship. But seeing Theodore Nott asked her out make me so angry that I wish it was me asking her out.
"I knew it!" George jump up off the bed and ran and open the door.
"LEE YOU OWE ME THREE STICKLES!" George shout then close the door again.
"You bet on me?" I asked my twin with a brow raise as he chuckle lightly while rubbing the back off he's neck.
"Look Fred you are going to apologize to my future sister-in-law and going to tell her you love her and if you break her heart Mione and I are going to hex you til the next generation! Got it?" Ginny said up to my face. I gulp quietly while nodding repeatedly.
"Okay! Peace out" Ginny said walking out of our dorm room as she slam the door behind.
The room then stayed silence for a moment with only George and I looking at each other.
"Remind me never to piss Ginny off when she finds if I hurt a girl" George told me who was also a little scared off our sister.
"Noted" I said gulping again.
Now I need to fix what I ruin with the girl I love because I don't want everything else to go down at hill. I know I should off asked her and I'm an asshole for not doing that but my heart is telling me to go for it.
Y/N Pov
"You look so pretty twinie" Mione told as I had my dress on ready for the ball.
"Yeah pretty when I cry" I said sarcastically. I tried my best to cover my eyes up with make up so no one will see my red puffy eyes to tell if I'm crying.
Right now I don't feel like going to the ball after what happened with Fred. I don't think I want to face him after that. But Ginny and Mione insist that I go. That it might make me feel better.
"Hey, now no more tears tonight I want to see that smile if yours " Mione said wrapping her arm around my shoulder in a way to comfort me.
"You go ahead I'll meet you in the great hall I need a moment to myself" I said Mione left the dorm room and I was with silence and only me.
I can't have Fred's words to upset the whole night. I must stay strong and the best way to do is give him the taste of he's own medicine.
As I stand at the top of the stairs I see my date Theodore Nott looking at me and smiling as I walked down the state's gracefully with my head high up and some other students with there dates turn to look at me with there mouth open in shock.
Never gave I thought I would be going to a ball as most people find me in the library reading every book on the shelf they have there.
As I reach the bottom of the step Theodore reached for my game which I gladly took without hesitation. Theodore kiss my hand while looking into my eyes that mad heat rush to my cheeks.
"You look beautiful" Theodore said after he pulled away from kissing my knuckle.
"And you look handsome yourself" I said brushing the top off Theodore's blazer suit.
"Shall we?" Theodore asked ready to take my can't into the great hall. I look past Theodore to see Hermione giving me a thumps up next to Krum which I took a deep breathe and took Theodore arm.
We both walked into the great hall where everyone was and most the girls gasp when they saw my face and what my dress look like.
And as we made it to the drink table I was then face to face with no one other then Fred Weasley with he's date Angelina Johnson.
I don't hate Angelina at all I love the girl and we get on we'll but I feel angry that she can't with Fred and she could of pick any other guy to go with her.
"Oh my god Y/N you look beautiful!" Angelina said giving me a bright smile my way.
"Thank you! I love your dress Angie!" I compartment her while I side eye feed who had not taken he's eyes off me and I notice he's thus turning white his hard he is squeezing it.
"Y/N" Fred said as I turn to him to give him a cold look.
I never had it in me to give someone that I care about but when one hurts you you must fire back. And I won't break this time.
"Frederic" I said coldly seeing Fred's face turn to shock. He never expect me to talk to him like that.
"C-can we talk" He said eyes filled with hope.
"Nope, have fun" I said taking Theodore hand to the dance floor and leave a shock Fred with he's date.
While I dance with Theodore I realized that Feed was wrong about Theodore he was not evil or like any other Slytherins I see down the hall. He us actually kind to me even when I am a muggleborn.
"You know Weasley been starting at you all night" Theodore whisper into my eye and as I look in the corner of my eye I see Fred red in the fact and is about to smash something any minute.
I smirk to myself as I came up something to wind Fred up even me that he has been watching me the whole time.
"Let him" I reach up and whisper closely into Theo ear and as I made eye contact with Fred I gave him a smirk and I kiss Theo lightly on the lips.
As we pulled away I fave Theo a kind smile until a storm was woken up and the sound off feet was murching our way.
"NOTT!" the sound of Fred voice was being heard and as we both turn to look at the Weasley who hurt me. Fred punch Thei right in the jaw making me gasp and most people turn to watch.
"Ooh that must of hurt" I heard George said who was just sipping in some punch enjoying the show except of pulling he's twin brother away.
"What the hell man!" Theo said cluching yes jaw.
"Fred what the hell is your problem" I said obviously I'm piss at him always ruin everything to me.
"What is wrong with me!? The fucknob was kissing you for fucksake!" Fred pointed out.
"And you have a problem with other guys kissing me but you don't have a problem when other girls flirt with you?" I asked even starting the fact.
"Y/N you are important to me I was pro-" Fred started but I cut him off.
And yet more tears run down my face. I gate crying overrgis guy! Why do I always keep crying it makes me feel weak!
"Protecting me! But I don't need you protecting be all the time it's my life! And keep ruin everything!" I said push Fred forward which he put no effort to stop me.
"Keep ruin everything! Everything! Everything! Everything! Everything!" I said while I punch Fred's chest in repeat while tears flow down my face. It never stop. Fred in return hold me in my arms til I start punching he's chest all thought I don't want to be in he's arms.
"I'm sorry" Fred said in a whispered as I sniff trying to find away to calm down.
I can feel Ginny, Hermione, Harry, Ron, George was starting at us as everyone else was not bother about us. But I can tell they where all worried about me.
But I seem to alwaysnkt care about myself. I always seem to forget about my health more then my study.
"I hate you" I said cluching Fred's shirt as I cry my eyes out in he's arms. How can u gate and love someone at the same time?
"I know you do... But I love you" I then lift my head to look into those etes of Fred who look down at me.
"W-what" I wiped my eyes to see clearly.
This must be one of he's oranjs to upset me more or a way to make me feel better and smile and laugh again.
"I love you Y/N. I've kept it a secret thinking it's just a crush and I'll get over it but those feelings grew when I spend more and more time with you. I wanted to asked you to the ball but I didn't know how you will take it and seeing you with Nott made me jealous wishing it should been me" After hearing Fred confess I had no words.
I always thought I was a sister to him in he's eyes but my guess was wrong he does love me the way I want him to.
"You love me?" I asked stilling trying to get everything round my head.
"Merlin fucj women I don't just love you I KNOW I LOVE YOU!" Fred then shout as the whole hall head. I then turn best resmd but I don't even know what to say.
"Ever since last tear I've liked you and I was afraid you wouldn't love me back" I said looking down at my feet.
Fred then lift my chin up and as I look into he's eyes Fred kiss me on my lips as I kiss back accepting that Fred is the one I want to be with and as we pulled away we heard the sound of George slow clapping.
"Finally you two can stop with the drama and gave some peace around here" George said starting to walk away.
Fred a d I laugh as I lean into Fred shoulder. But wait! How would Fred knows I like him back. I never told him.
"Wait a minute! Who told you I like you back?" I asked looking at Fred.
Fred rub the back of he's neck nervous while Ginny teued to hide her laughing in.
"Well George let it-" I knew it George is dead.
"Oh he is dead!" I said I got my wand out.
"GEORGE GIDEON WEASLEY YOU ARE DEAD! YOU TRAITOR!" I scream running after George who was standing next to Lee.
"I'm sorry Y/N/N" George said starting to run away from me as fast as he can.
"I'M GOING TO HEX YOUR ASS TIL THE NEXT GENERATION!" I scream while the gang just watch dying with laughter.
"Ahhhh!" George scream line a girl.
But I finally got the guy of my dreams and I am not going to let anyone take him from me. Because what the heart wants the heart gets.
And there is no reason I should give it up.
Because the heart wants what it wants.

The summer when we rob an antic store together
I know this is a topic, but I'm going to take it at face value.
Antics. Like antique, the grotesques, jokes. A joke store. Who owns a joke store? The Weasley twins. Who else can be considered to own a joke store? Urahara.
It would be mightily funny if Urahara "failed" to catch the Weasley twins "stealing" from his little candy shop. (The Weasley twins bribed the "black cat" with plenty of fish.)
Naturally Urahara found great amusement so he let the twins get away with it.
And as genius meets genius, the trio of evil pranksters start to get to know each more and... great evil chaos happened that summer.

Battle Wounds & A Favor
A favor, a twin and a wedding. How will everything go when Hermione asks George for a favor but he isn't available and Fred volunteers. The man she doesn't really know.. he's just the twin of her best friend.
 George.
She is going to ask George. She thought to herself as she paced back and forward in her kitchen. George is the more sensible one. I trust him, he's calmer, thinks before he acts. Unlike his twin, a complete wild card that one.
Hermione grew close with George after the war when Fred was in a coma for well over a year. She didn't go back to school but studied for her NEWT's at the hospital to keep an eye on George and Fred. George helped her study during this time, and she pushed him out of the hospital once in a while so he could take care of himself. Her friendship with him was close, very close, like siblings. Fred was different. He still doesn't get how they became such close friends over that short period of time. Fred tried to be nice to her, friendly but it wasn't the same. Fred still teased her or wouldn't consider her feelings when he did or say something. George lectured his twin more than once about it and he settled down but still...
George definitely George. She decided and nodded her head.
She grabbed her wand from the counter and apparated in the twins living room. She turned when she heard a thump behind her. Fred lay spread out on the ground, glaring up at her.
“Merlin, Granger!” He grumbled as he climbed back up the sofa. “Can you come in a bit louder?! I was sleeping.”
“It's two in the afternoon, Weasley.” Hermione rolled her eyes as she scanned the room. “Where is George?”
“Out. Why?”
“I need to ask him something.” She bit her lip as she strolled to the kitchen for a cup of tea. “When will he be back?”
“An hour or so, I think. Sure it's not something I can help you with?” Fred gave his lopsided grin as he leaned on the counter.
Hermione looked up from the teapot and stared at him for a moment. “No. I'll wait for George.”
“Fine by me.” He shrugged and headed back to the sofa. “I'll just continue my nap then.”
Hermione finished her tea and walked back to the living room where he already had fallen asleep. She picked up his legs and sat down, his legs resting on her lap. She took one of the twins’ books from the coffee table and started reading. After about 45 minutes, the front door opened, and George walked in carrying a large carton box.
“Hermione, love. For what do we owe the pleasure?” George asked when his eyes landed on her. “No stay seated, wouldn't want to wake up old Freddie boy now, would we?”
“No better not. I already woke him up when I came here.” She chuckled as George dropped the box on the dining table and crossed the room to take a seat in front of her. “I wanted to ask you for a favor.”
“Miss Granger asking me for a favor. Should I be worried?” George teased.
“No, it's just... you know Harry and Ginny's wedding is next Saturday, right?” He nodded. “I just found out Marc is going to be there.”
George tensed up when she said his name. Marc was her ex; they were together for eight months. She broke up with him when she found out he was cheating on her for half of their relationship.
“Why is he coming? Harry knows what he did to you.” George growled through gritted teeth.
“He's seeing Tessa, Ginny's teammate. So, he's her plus one.”
“Can't Ha-”
“No, George. I don't want to make it more difficult than it already is.”
George look said that he didn't agree but he let it go. “So, the favor?”
“I was wondering if you could be my plus one.” She asked nervously as she fumbled with her sleeve. “You're my best friend and I don't want to face him alone.”
George cursed. “I wish I could, Hermione. If you asked me two days ago, I would've said yes. But I asked Katie yesterday.” George sighed as he rubbed his face.
“Oh- no don't worry about it. You just have a great time.” She gave him a strained smile as she tried to get up.
“Wait. Why don't you ask Fred. He's going stag.”
Hermione frowned as she finally freed herself from Fred legs looking at George before glancing over the sleeping twin. “No- no that's okay. I'll figure something out. Thanks anyway.” She gave him a peck on the cheek. “I'll see you later.”
And she apparated out.
“You can open your eyes now, she's gone.” George grinned as his brother shot up.
“Why doesn't she want me to go with her?” Fred asked as he stared at his twin.
“Fred... you know why. It's not like you two are that close. She wants somebody to help her through the wedding with that git Marc coming.”
“I tried to -”
“No, you didn't, Freddie. You always saw her as that little know-it-all, best friends with ickle Ronniekens. But she's more than that, she has become one of my best friends. You know she had a hard time with the breakup, she stayed here for over a week. And how many times did you really talk to her?”
Fred flopped back, resting his head on the back of the sofa, staring at the ceiling. “You're right, I'm sorry. It's just ever since I woke up everything has been so different. I just wanted something to stay the same and I took it out on her.”
“I know it must be hard for you, but it's been over a year and a half since you woke up. You should have gotten used to her by now.”
“Yeah.” Fred sighed before he suddenly jumped up. “I'll go talk to her.”
“Thanks Freddie and... good luck.” He grinned and clapped his back. Fred grimaced for a moment before he took out his wand.
“Uhm... George? I don't know where she lives.”
“Use the floo, it's connected.”
Fred made his way over to the fireplace and called out Hermione's flat as he threw some floo powder at his feet. He stepped out of the fireplace in a spacious apartment. On his left where large windows letting in the natural light. A brown leather couch stood in the middle of the living room surrounded by two love seats, and a giant bookcase covered the wall behind it.
“Grang- Hermione?” Fred called out. He heard her footsteps coming from the kitchen. She stopped at the doorway as she saw it was him that called her.
“Fred? What are you doing here?”
“I-” He said while he rubbed his neck. “Can we sit down for a moment?”
“Yeah, sure.” She said uncertain as her confused look was still locked on him. Hermione sat down on the leather couch while Fred took the love seat on her left. “So...”
“Yeah, well... I'm sorry.”
“Sorry? Sorry about what?” She asked confused.
“I'm sorry about how I acted towards you. To your friendship with George. When I woke up everything had changed. And couldn't understand that George grew so close to you, the best friend of our little brother. And I just wanted something to stay the same. I know it wasn't fair to you, so I'm sorry. And if you still want to, I would like to get to know you.”
“Oh. Fred, you don't have to. It's not because I'm friends with George, that we have to be.”
“But I want to. Or at least try to.” He looked at her hopeful. She sighed as she gave in.
“Fine. How do you plan to start?”
“I thought I would ask you to accompany me to wonder boy's wedding.”
“You heard me?” She asked a bit accusatory.
“Yeah.” He smiled sheepishly at her.
“Right...” She grumbled. “Okay, I'll go with you.”
“Brilliant. Meet me at the burrow Saturday at noon?”
“Sure.” She tried to smile optimistic as Fred leaped out from his seat.
“Bye, Granger.” She waved and disappeared in the floo.
Hermione groaned as she flopped on her stomach. “This is George's doing.” She mumbled in a pillow.
Hermione apparated to the burrow Saturday morning as she promised Ginny to help her get ready. Molly was busy in the kitchen preparing breakfast and gave her a chaste kiss on the cheek as she said good morning and climbed the stairs.
“Hi, Ginny.” She smiled as she entered the youngest one's room. Ginny was sitting in front of a makeup table while Fleur kept busy with her hair. “Hey, Fleur.”
“Hermione! Thank Merlin, you are here.” Ginny let out a breath of relief. “Can you check on Harry for me, please? Fleur already finished my makeup and is almost done with my hair. But I want to know if Harry is alright.”
“Sure, Gin. I'll pop over to Grimmauld. I'll be right back.”
“Thanks. Make sure he doesn't run away.”
Hermione chuckled at the red head. “Never in a million years would he run away from this day. I think he's more excited than you are.”
“I don't know about that.” Fleur chimed in at the glowing Ginny. Hermione smiled at the two before heading back downstairs.
When she floo’d over to Grimmauld, she already heard the boys’ voices coming from upstairs. She smiled as she walked up the stairs. She entered the newly renovated bathroom and saw Harry, Ron, George, Fred, Charlie and Percy standing in front of the mirror adjusting their robes. Hermione leaned against the door frame as she watched the boys fussing over their hair and clothes. She bit on her lip trying to hold in her laugh but failed miserably. Her laugh escaped and all the boys turned to her wide eyed.
George was the first to recover and smiled broadly at her. “Hermione love. What are you doing here?” He asked as he picked her up and twirled her around before giving her a peck on the cheek.
“Ginny asked me to check on the chosen one. To see if he's not getting cold feet.” She chuckled as she looked past George to Harry. Harry smiled at her before he wrapped his arms around her.
“You look very handsome, Harry.” She smiled at him as they parted.
“Oi! What about us!?” George and Charlie yelled. Ron, Percy and Harry rolled their eyes while Fred looked a bit uncomfortable between her and George.
“Well, you all look handsome, but Harry here is the groom.” Hermione glanced around the room once more. “Where is Bill?”
“He'll meet us at the burrow. With Fleur going over to help Ginny get ready he's taking care of little Vic.” Charlie said as he walked up and kissed her cheek.
“I should be heading back. I can tell Ginny the good news.” She winked at Harry. “I need get to ready myself.”
“You look beautiful just the way you are, love.” Charlie gave her a cheeky wink.
“Yeah, right.” She rolled her eyes. “I don't think Ginny will like it if I were standing next to her wearing jeans and an old shirt. I'll see you boys in an hour.” She smiled and headed out the room.
When she got ready, wearing an old rose floor length halter dress, with a deep cut back and a split that stopped at her thigh, she checked on Ginny who looked absolutely gorgeous in her white strapless mermaid wedding dress, pearls sewn across the bustier.
“Ooh, Ginny. I think Harry might faint when he sees you.”
“You think he'll like it?”
“He will love it!” She walked over and wrapped her arms around her, hugging her tight.
“I'm sorry, Hermione.” Ginny said as they parted. She continued when she saw her confused look. “About Marc. When I found out, it was too late to decline.”
“It's okay, Gin. I'll make it through.”
“Do you have a date?”
“Sort of.” She sighed as she flopped down Ginny's bed. “Fred is taking me.”
“Fred? Didn't you ask George?”
“I did but he already asked Katie.”
“Oh, I'm sure it won't be that bad.” Ginny waved her hand in the air.
“Let's hope not.” Hermione chuckled. “Come on, let's get downstairs. I just saw the boys arrive.”
“By the way... You look beautiful, Hermione.” Ginny said as she checked her over once again as they walked down the stairs arm in arm.
“Thank you.” They stepped in the living room, and she saw Harry, Charlie, George and Fred standing there. Hermione's eyes widened as she pushed Ginny back out.
“Wha- Hermione?!”
“Ginny, wait in the kitchen. Harry's here.” She heard Ginny grumble as she shuffles away.
“Harry!” She yelled and all the men turned to look at her. All of their mouths dropped open one by one. “You almost ruined it. I had to push Ginny out just now before you caught a glimpse of her.” Hermione saw their shocked faces and looked behind her. “What are you all looking at?”
“At you, love. You look absolutely gorgeous.” George smiled as he twirled her around. “A shame I see you as my sister.” He winked. Hermione chuckled as she slapped his chest. Then Harry took her hand and twirled her around under his arm.
“George is right, you look stunning.” Harry smiled at her.
“Beautiful.” As she's passed to Charlie. With one last twirl, she ended up in Fred's arms. She looked up at him and saw him staring down at her. He looked a bit uncomfortable before he cleared his throat.
“Not bad for a bookworm.” He saw his twin glare at him in the corner of his eye while Hermione took a step back, frowning. “Sorry, old habits. You look nice.”
He heard his brothers and Harry scoff but ignored them. Hermione gave him a strained smile before walking to the kitchen.
“Ouch!” Fred yelped as his brother slapped his head.
“Try harder.” George grumbled and followed Hermione to the kitchen. Leaving Fred staring at his retreating back.
Hermione was standing next to Ginny as she exchanged her vows. Hermione's eyes wandered over the crowd and stiffened when she saw Marc sitting in the fourth row with Tessa, watching her intently. She looked away quickly and her eyes found George. George immediately saw her stiffened figure and looked behind him. His hands clenched as he found the target. Fred noticed his twins’ change in behavior and followed his gaze before he looked at Hermione. Hermione had already turned her attention back to the bride and groom, but he saw her fingernails dig into her palm.
After the ceremony, Fred walked up to her to offer his arm as they made their way to their table. Fred shot daggers at that Marc kid when they passed as Hermione looked the other way. When they reached the table, George and Katie were already sitting there.
“Hi Katie, you look beautiful.” She smiled as she sat down.
“Me? Look at you. Have you seen the way the men looked at you?” Katie grinned at the girl. Hermione blushed a bit as she took a drink from the table. “Even that git Marc, his mouth fell to the floor. That girl he's with had to nudge him to give her attention.” Katie laughed and Hermione grinned at that.
“Oh, it's the first dance.” George said as he looked over at the dance floor. Soon his parents followed, along with Ron and Leanne, Katie's friend. George stood up and offered his hand to Katie who smiled and took it, finding their way to the dance floor. She saw Marc and Tessa join the dance party and Hermione gripped her glass tighter.
“Hey.” Fred started and laid his hand on hers. “Let's go make him jealous, alright?”
“You don't have to, Fred. I'm fine.”
“No, you're not. And believe me, I don't mind. I quite like dancing.” He grinned as he pulled her up. “Now let's go.”
Hermione let him pull her to the others and Fred placed one hand on her waist and the other in her hand. They moved slowly to the music, twirling her every once in a while. Neither said anything as it felt awkward, like they were mandatory to dance together. After a twirl Fred pulled her closer and her eyes widened in question.
“He's watching.” He whispered in her ear. Hermione had a chance to glance over to him as they turned on the beat of the music. “Want to give him a show?”
“What d-?” Her question was interrupted by Fred's lips on hers. It was just a chaste kiss, nothing major.
“Ha! He's turning red.” Fred grinned as he took a risk to glance over her head. He looked back down at her smiling. “His girlfriend doesn't look so happy about his reaction.”
“Can I take over?” George tapped on Fred's shoulder. Fred looked at his twin and nodded taking Katie's hand and twirled her around the tent.
“I'm sorry about Fred. I told him to be nice to you, not just kiss you in the middle of the tent.”
“It was just a graze really. It was to make Marc jealous.” She shrugged as she looked up at one of her best friends.
“What's wrong?” George asked worried as he saw a line form between her brows.
“It's just... You and Fred are so alike and yet so different. I feel safe with you, at home but with Fred it's awkward and distant. I want to be friends with him for your sake, but I don't know if it will ever happen, George.”
George pulled her closer and she leaned her head on his chest. “It's okay. Whether you are friends or just acquaintances, it doesn't matter, as long as I have both of you on my side, I'm happy.”
Hermione sighed as they slow danced together. When the song ended Hermione made her way back to the table and Fred soon followed.
“Do you want something to drink?” He asked awkwardly.
“Fire whiskey, please. I need it to make it through the night.”
Fred gave her a weird smile before he walked over to the bar. Hermione waited at the table watching the others dance happily in front of her. Bill twirling his wife grinning like a man in love, while Molly and Arthur were slow dancing, sweetly wrapped around each other. Over fifteen minutes had passed, and Fred still wasn't back. She looked over at the bar and saw him flirting with one of the girls of Ginny's quidditch team. Hermione rolled her eyes and looked the other way. But she shouldn't have done that. Her eyes instantly met Marc's. Marc who was standing alone against the tent pushed himself off and wandered over her. Hermione looked around in panic, but couldn't find someone to save her. She was about to stand up when he reached her table.
“Mi love.” He smiled as he sat down, using his nickname for her.
“Marc.” She answered coolly.
“I see your date is occupied.” He nudged his head in Fred's direction. Hermione took a risk and looked over her shoulder. Fred was kissing the girl after he agreed to be her “date” for the night.
“It seems so.” She answered through greeted teeth. Marc placed his hand on hers which made her jump a little.
“Mi love, he's not worth your time.” He said in his charming voice.
“And you are?” She scoffed and folded her arms over her chest.
“I made mistakes... but I still love you.” He directed her gaze to him when his finger nudged her chin. “You look breath-taking.” He breathed and he leaned in. Hermione kissed him for a second before pushing him away and jumped up. In the corner of her eye, she saw several red heads making their way over to her. She slapped his cheek and ran out of the tent. Ignoring the people that called her name.
“I asked you one thing!” George yelled at his brother after Hermione had disappeared. George had marched right up to Fred and pushed the little bimbo out of his way to glare at his twin.
“What are you on about? Hermione is just sitting at the table while I got drinks.”
“Oh, really?” He asked sarcastically. “Then where is she?”
Fred looked over at their table, which was now completely empty. His gaze searched the room but he couldn't find her.
“See? When you were here flirting and snogging some bint while you supposed to be Hermione's date FYI, Marc came over to her. I don't know what he said but he tried to kiss her. She slapped him before she stormed out. None of us can find her. And that's because of you! You had only one thing to do tonight! To keep Hermione company, to keep her away from that git and maybe crack a joke or two to keep her mind away from him. But no, it was simply too much to ask!”
“George, I-” Fred didn't know what to say, he never heard his twin yell at him like that. In the corner of his eye he saw several of his siblings glaring at him.
“No,-” George sighed and took in a deep breath. “I don't want to hear it, maybe you should just go.” He waved his hand at the entrance of the tent and stormed off, back to his date. Fred stood in shock for a minute, trying to organize his thoughts. He was so lost in his head that he didn't notice the bird from earlier coming back to him, smiling.
“Fred?” She asked sweetly and traced patterns on his arm. Fred came back to reality and looked at the girl. “Wanna get out of here?” she asked suggestively.
“No.” Fred took a step back, looking at the girl he didn't even know the name of. “I got to go.” And he walked out of the tent.
Hermione didn't apparate home, she hid behind the big oak tree on the edge of the garden. She sat there in silence, taking big gulps straight from the bottle of fire whiskey she had summoned from the tent. She had put a disillusionment on herself so no one could spot her in the dark. She heard her name calling from several of the Weasleys and Harry, but she ignored them as she looked at the clear sky full of stars. After half an hour later, the shouting stopped, and she relaxed against the tree.
Why did I listen to George. I knew taking Fred would have been a bad idea. I need to follow my instincts.  She thought to herself as she took another big gulp from the bottle.
“I know you're here.” A voice came from the dark. “I hear the bottle sloshing.”
Hermione saw Fred appear in the moonlight but stayed quiet as she just looked at the man in front of her, only two meters away. Maybe if she sat very still, he would go away.
“I'm not going away, Hermione. So tell me where you are or make yourself visible before I accio you.”
Hermione tried to hold back a snort, but he heard it. He looked around and his eyes fell on her, or just right next to her. Fred grinned and took out his wand.
“Accio Her-”
“Fine.” She called out before she came flying through the air. “Fine.” She sighed and made herself visible with a simple wave of her wand. She looked up at Fred who smiled that his plan had worked. “Now, what do you want? The last time I saw you, you were quite busy.”
Fred smiled disappeared as he walked closer and sat down next to her, leaning against the tree. Hermione shuffled a bit to the other side when his knee bumped hers.
“I'm sorry.”
“You're sorry a lot.” She grumbled as she looked at her feet.
“I know.” He sighed before his head turned to her. “But I am sorry. Not only for tonight but for everything I said or did since I woke up. I know I said it earlier but I really mean it.” Fred took in a deep breath as he rested his head on his arms that leaned on his knees. “So... for the get to know each other part...”
“Yes?” Hermione asked with a frown.
“Pfft, okay. Don't really know where to start, only George knows this.”
“And you want to tell me?”
“I just want to explain about what happened tonight.”
“Alright..”
“I don't know if you've seen me since the wall. I mean seen my scars.”
Hermione shook her head and whispered. “No, when the healers came, George and I were ushered out of the room.”
“Well... it left some big scars that will never heal. They are all over my torso and my back. And I had some bad experiences with girls that left the moment they saw me, my scars.” Hermione swallowed hard as he explained what happened to him, what the girls did to him. “So, when this girl showed her interest, I hoped you know...”
“She would see past your scars.”
“Yeah... But I'm so sorry that I left you alone. I saw you tense up at the ceremony when you saw him. I should never have left you.”
“No, you shouldn't have.” She whispered as she looked back up at the stars. “But I forgive you.”
“You do?”
“Yes. I kind of know where you're coming from.”
“How so?”
Hermione ignored his question as she took the same position as Fred and stared back up in the night. Fred watched her for a moment before he followed her gaze. They sat there in silence, not an awkward silence but comfortable one.
“Can I see them?” Hermione asked softly as she turned her head on her knees to look at him. Fred bit his lip as he took in a deep breath before standing up. He offered his hands and slowly pulled her up to her feet. Fred shook of his blazer and Hermione hung it on the tree as she transfigured a branch in to a small coat rack. Fred fumbled with his buttons nervously as he tried to open them. Hermione placed her hand on his and he looked up from his shirt into her big brown eyes.
“You don't have to.” She whispered.
“I want to.” He gave her a reassuring smile but his hand still trembled.
“May I?” She asked as she pointed at his buttons. He gave her a nervous nod and she unbuttoned his shirt completely. He shrugged the material of his shoulders and watched the young witch in front of him as she reached over and gently touched his chest. Her fingers grazed over the scars as her eyes where fixed on his chest. Fred waited... waited for the horror, the shock to strike her face but it never came. After a few moments her soft brown eyes looked up with a little smile.
“Just as handsome as you were back in school.” She whispered in the moonlight. Fred didn't know what to do, what to say. He just looked at her shocked, before he had time to recover himself, she pulled out her wand. “I want to show you something.”
She waved the wand over her head and after a few seconds small lines started to appear on her arms, her chest. Fred took in a deep breath as he reached over and touched a scar on her upper arm.
“Hermione.” He whispered as his thumb gently rubbed the scar.
“We all have our scars, our memories. Our nightmares.” She whispered the last one so softly he nearly missed it. He looked back down to her arm and traced his hand down when Hermione stiffened. He looked up worried and searched her big brown eyes. She bit her lip nervously before she turned her arm. Fred looked back down and clenched his teeth as he saw the scar that read, mudblood .
“Who? When?” He whispered as he softly traced the scar. Hermione took in a deep breath as his finger went over it.
“Bellatrix. A few weeks before the battle. She – she tortured me, tried to get information.” She looked up and saw his face full of anger, teeth clenched and his chest going faster up and down trying to control his breathing. “Only Harry, Ron and George know about it. And Fleur. We went to the cottage after it happened. She healed me as much as she could but the blade Bellatrix used was cursed.”
“George knows?”
“I made him promise not to tell, Fred.”
“It's okay. I'm so sorry. I never knew what you've been through that year.”
Hermione surprised herself when she took a step forward and wrapped her arms around his waist; head resting on his bare chest. Fred recovered from the shock quickly and put his arms around her, holding her close.
“You never asked.” She mumbled in his chest. Fred froze when she said that because he knew she was right. He never tried to get to know her. He never tried to really talk to her. He gently pushed her away and looked down at her.
“I know.” He took her hand in his and led her back down on the ground against the tree. He pulled his shirt back over his head and looked sideways at the girl who had tears in her eyes. “Let's change that. What about 20 questions?”
Hermione chuckled as she wrapped her arms around her knees. “Sure. You start.”
“Hmm, okay. Let start light. What is your favorite color?”
“Blue, yours?”
“Red, Gryffindor red.” He grinned. “What do you want to do for work?”
“I thought we were starting easy.” She chuckled and shoved him, he simply gave a her a shrug and a grin for an answer. “I don't know really. I finished my NEWT's.” And aced them. Fred interjected. “But I don't know. I used to want to work for the ministry but now... I don't know.”
“That's okay, Hermione.” He draped his arm over her shoulder, giving it a squeeze. “Just remember do what you love.”
“Like you?” She grinned at him.
“Exactly.”
“Does your family know?”
“No.” He knew she talked about the scars by the way she looked at him. “Only George and now you. Did Marc know?”
“I showed him after a couple of months of dating. It was right after that he started cheating.”
“I'm gonna kill him.” Fred grumbled and made a move to stand up. Hermione grabbed his arm and pulled him down.
“Fred, let it go.” Fred turned to her looking angry. “Please.”
Fred's face softened as he saw her pleading look. “Fine. Your turn.”
“What's your favorite prank?”
Fred beamed at that question and didn't have to think long to tell her his favorite story. The twenty questions didn't stop at 20. They continued as they talked and laughed at the things they've done. Passing the bottle of fire whiskey between them. And for the first time ever, really getting to know each other. Fred was cackling so loud when she told him she punched Malfoy in her third year.
“I wish I could've seen his face.” He managed to get out between laughs. When he finally calmed down he stood up and pulled her up. “We should get back before they get even more worried. We can continue this in the tent.”
“Yeah, besides our bottle is empty.” She grinned as she shook the empty bottle between them. “Did George give you an ear full?” She asked as they made their way back to the tent.
“You have no idea. He never yelled at me like that before. But I'm glad he did because now I'm getting to know the real Hermione Granger.”
“So I'm not just the know-it-all little bookworm anymore?” She asked. Fred snapped his head to look at her but saw her grinning up at him.
“No, definitely not.” They laughed as they entered the tent. All of the Weasleys found them immediately looking shocked at the laughing duo. George walked over with Ginny in a hurry.
“Hermione, are you okay?” The two Weasleys asked concerned before they glared at Fred.
“I'm fine.” She smiled at the pair. “Fred and I had a talk. We're good.”
George frowned as he looked between the two of them. Hermione took a step forward and placed her hand on his arm.
“Georgie..” George stopped glaring at his brother and looked down. “Fred apologized. Really apologized.”
“Alright. Thanks for getting her back to the party, Freddie.” He smiled at his brother and clapped his back before he took Hermione's hand. “I believe I didn't have the pleasure of a dance?”
“Alright, but nothing too crazy, George.” She chuckled.
“Me?” He said in mock hurt. “I wouldn't dare.”
“Sure, you don't.” Ginny and Fred laughed. George stuck his tongue out before leading Hermione to the dance floor.
“Are you sure everything is okay? Bill and Charlie kicked Marc out the second you disappeared.” He asked as they swayed slowly on the beat.
“Yes.” She gave his hand a squeeze. “Fred- he actually told me about his scars.”
“He-he did?” George asked bewildered. Hermione gave him a sad nod.
“He showed them to me and told me what happened when some girls saw them.” George bit his lip as he searched for his twin in the crowd. His twin was watching them as he drank a glass of fire whiskey. Fred met his gaze and gave him a small smile, knowing well enough what they were talking about.
“I told him about Malfoy manor.” George head snapped back to her, eyes wide. “I showed him my scars. And told him what happened between me and Marc.”
“You never told anyone but me about Marc.”
“Yeah... after we showed each other the scars, we did twenty questions and it got serious quickly.”
“I can't believe you told one another all of that.”
“I don't know about Fred. But I want to be friends with him, real friends, for you. I know how much it hurts you, that your two best friends don’t get along.”
“And neither of us want to hurt you.” A voice came from behind them. George looked over her head and she turned to see Fred standing behind her grinning. “Can I cut in twin-o-mine?”
“Uhm, yeah sure. I'm gonna find Katie.” He smiled awkwardly and shuffled away, leaving Hermione in Fred's arms.
“I thought we could continue our twenty questions.” He said before adding his lopsided grin.
“I think we're past twenty questions.” She laughed.
“Maybe.” He shrugged nonchalantly, still smiling. “But I like to continue.”
“Who's turn was it?” She asked as he twirled her around.
“You start.”
“Hmm okay. Can I start serious again?” She asked looking up at him. He gave a shrug, letting her know she could continue. “Angelina... didn't you two have relationship before the war?”
“We did. But you know war, we drifted apart and when I woke up, she moved on.”
“I'm sorry.”
“I'm over it.” He shrugged. Hermione gave him a pointed look that made him sigh. “Yeah, it was hard at first, seeing I missed over a year of everyone's life, but I couldn't expect her to wait for me. Especially after we weren't really together anymore.”
“But still...”
“The only thing that mattered the most was George being there. That he never left my side.”
“He didn't. I had to drag him out to take a shower or sleep in his own bed every couple of days.”
“I'm sure I would have been the same if it was the other way around. So... you never accompanied him in the shower or his bed?” Fred asked jokingly waggling his eyebrows. Hermione laughed loudly throwing her head back, making him beam.
“No, George is my best friend, my brother. That would be so weird.” Her laughter subsided as she shook her head.
“You're gathering attention.” Fred whispered as he pulled her closer, pointing at several Weasleys that danced around them.
“I think everyone is just really surprised we're hanging out, laughing none the less.”
“Hmm. Probably my fault it's that big of a surprise. But I kind of like making you laugh that loud. I think I finally see the side George sees, or even Harry and Ron.” He grinned as he dipped her low, hovering close to her face.
“George actually knows a side of me Harry and Ron don't.” She grinned as he pulled her back up.
“Hmm, maybe I can find that side too.”
“Maybe.” Her eyes glanced over George who still watched them closely before her gaze fell on Ron who was dancing with Leanne. Fred followed her gaze before turning back to her.
“I always thought you and Ron would've ended up together.”
“I think people expected us to do so. We kissed at the battle you know.” Fred's eyebrows disappeared behind his hair. “But it was just awkward and weird. Probably the same if I kissed George or Harry. They are my family.”
“Yeah, I wouldn't want to kiss any of them either.” He chuckled, Hermione joined in. “My turn... Did you have a relationship before Marc?”
“Before Marc, I had a short thing going with a healer from the hospital since I was always there. And in school... just Viktor, really. Tell me something you never told anyone.”
“That's not really a question but alright..” He grinned before he leaned closer to her ear. “You look absolutely gorgeous tonight.” Hermione blushed at his compliment. “Your turn, same 'question'.
“Oh; uhm..” Hermione looked down at their feet when she spoke up. “I'm jealous of you.”
“Jealous?” Fred asked surprised.
“Yeah, of you and George to be precise. You two know exactly what you wanted to do with your life and succeeded just after your eighteenth birthday. I just wish I knew what I wanted to do.”
“Hermione, you're just turned 21, you have plenty of time to figure out what you want. Just choose something you love, something you don't mind waking up for.”
“Thanks, Fred. I think we're a bit out of tune.” She grinned as she saw the other dancing crazy around them while they still swayed slowly; the tent was getting emptier by the minute.
“I didn't notice.” He grinned before he spun her around one more time and let go of her hand. When she turned back, Fred was dancing as crazy as his twin. Hermione laughed at him before she danced towards Ginny. Now all the Weasleys, plus dates, were dancing wildly around each other, laughing when they passed the girls to all of the Weasley men.
The first ones to depart was the newlywed couple as they flew off to their honeymoon. Then followed by Arthur and Molly, together with Bill and Fleur who wanted to go back to their daughter. Hermione made her way to the bar and ordered everyone who was still there a drink. When she arrived at the group, she placed a bottle of fire whiskey on the table alongside the glasses.
“Where is Ron?” She asked as she flopped down between the twins.
“I saw him and Leanne sneaking away a minute ago.” Katie giggled. George looked surprised at his date as she never giggled.
“Maybe you shouldn't drink anymore, love.” George laughed as Katie's head fell down on the table.
“Girl can't hold her liquor.” Fred grinned as she started to snore.
“Not like our Hermione here.” Charlie chuckled as he sat across from her. Charlie saw the questioning look on Fred's face and explained further. “Once, we did a drinking game and while all of us were sloshed or passed out, she just kept going.”
“Really?” Fred asked surprised looking back at Hermione. “And what do tell, was the purpose of the game?”
“Just some truth or dare.” George shrugged.
“You were there? Where was I?”
“It was over a year ago, a couple of weeks before you woke up. My little Granger here got me out for the first time.”
“Practically had to bound him to get him to come.” Hermione laughed. “But I was right, wasn't I?”
“Maybe..” George grumbled making Charlie laugh and Fred feeling left out.
“George.”
“Fine, fine. I had a great time.” George stuck out his tongue.
“Mature, very mature.” Hermione grinned.
“Well, it looks like it's dead in here. I'm off to bed.” Charlie pushed his chair back as he stood up. “Good night, little brothers, ladies.” He tipped his head at Hermione and chuckled at the sleeping girl and headed out the tent.
“I better get her back to the flat so she can sleep it off. Hermione, you can sleep over if you want. I made the guest bedroom just in case.”
“Thanks, George. Pancakes in the morning?”
“Since you and Fred are finally getting along, I could whip some up for you.”
“Oi! What about me?” Fred called over her head.
“You can help.” George grinned as he picked up Katie easily in his arms. “Are you two coming?” He asked looking down at the two.
“We'll just finish the bottle and we're right behind you.”
“Okay, goodnight. See you tomorrow.”
“How in Merlin's name are you not drunk?” Fred slurred over his words as they walked over the burrow's garden, bottle in his hand.
“I am.” She chuckled. “But not as far gone as you. It's when I mix, everything goes sideways.” Fred tripped and dragged her down with him as he had his arm around her shoulder. “AAAHH!” She screamed as she fell on top of him. “Fred!”
“Sorry. Hermione, love? Can you put your elbow somewhere else.” He groaned as her arm landed on his ribs.
“Oh.” She moved her arm and was now leaning over him as he was still spread out on the grass. Fred's eyes locked on hers and they stared at each other for a god knows how long. Fred reached over and brushed her hair out of her face.
“Oh, hello, miss Granger. Fancy seeing you here.” He grinned up at her, she rolled her eyes at him. “As I do say so myself, you are the most beautiful girl I laid my eyes on tonight.”
“I doubt that.” She scoffed and tried to stand up but Fred had wrapped his arms around her, holding her in place.
“Granger.” He whispered.
“Weasley.” She whispered back. Fred reached his hand up again and grazed her cheek. He slowly lifted his head up and kissed her lightly. When he pulled back, Hermione instinctively bent down to capture his lips again. It felt... natural, not awkward or weird but like their lips had been waiting to touch each other for years. Fred pulled her closer to him, one hand on her waist while the other found it's way in her hair. The hand Hermione was leaning on was moved when Fred pulled her closer. One on his chest while the other cupped his cheek. Their kiss deepened quickly, and Fred rolled them around without breaking their kiss, so she was pinned beneath him. One hand supported his weight as the other traced down her side.
“Fred.” Hermione breathed his name as she pulled back. “We better get going.”
“Hmm.” Fred kissed her again and again.
“Before someone spots us. The burrow is right there.”
Fred groaned as he pulled back. “You're right.” He stood up and pulled her with him. “Let's sneak in and floo over to the flat.”
Fred slowly opened the kitchen door and dragged her with him, still holding her hand. He stopped suddenly when they reached the hallway, hearing a creak upstairs.
“Shh.” Fred placed his finger on his lips as he looked towards the stairs. Once he thought it was save he quickly entered the living room and stepped in the fireplace, and they floo'd to the flat together.
When they reached the flat, they stumbled out, nearly falling to the ground again.
“Shh, little Granger. You'll wake up Georgie.”
“Hey, only George calls me that.” She chuckled as slipped off her shoes. Fred kissed her again when her shoes fell to the ground.
“Then I need to find my own nickname for you.” He said between the kisses that he planted on her neck.
“Hmm.” She hummed as she titled her head back. “We should head to bed.”
Fred pulled back and kicked of his shoes before heading in the hallway. He stopped at his door and leaned against it looking at Hermione as he rubbed his neck nervously.
“So which bed were you referring to?”
Hermione gave him a seductive smile as she stepped closer leaning into him. She reached her hand out and turned the knob of the door at the same moment she kissed him. When the door clicked open, she pushed him inside and closed the door behind her with her bare foot. Fred then pushed her against the door and kissed her passionately. The glamour on her scars started to fade and he started kissing every visible scar he saw. Hermione was unbuttoning his shirt quickly and pulled it off his shoulders the moment she popped the last button. She pushed him to the bed and straddled him when he laid down. She felt Fred stiffen a bit when she looked down at his scars. She dipped her head and kissed the scar on his right shoulder. Feeling Fred relax, she continued to kiss every scar on his chest and abdomen, giving it her full attention like he did with hers. When she reached and kissed the last scar just under his belly button she sat up straight. Her hands finding the knot that tied her dress together on the back of her neck, letting it fall down. She stepped of the bed and let the dress fall down on the ground. Fred's mouth dropped open as she stood there in front of him wearing a white lace bustier with matching knickers.
“Merlin, Granger. You're killing me.” He breathed as she laid down next to him, both laid down on their sides looking at each other. She smiled sheepishly as he looked at her, eyes filled with lust. His breath hitched when he saw the scars on her abdomen under the bustier. His finger grazed over the fabric as he looked up, a line between his eyes.
“Dolohov did that at the ministry, the year you guys left.” Hermione whispered as she looked down. Fred tilted her head with he index finger, making her look at him.
“It doesn't define you. I have to say it even makes you more beautiful.”
“Fred...” Hermione said looking back down, shaking her head as tears filled her eyes.
“I mean it, Hermione. What do you see when you look at me?”
“A genius prankster.” She chuckled looking back at him.
“A genius, he?” He grinned. “But you don't see my scars. You see me and I see you.” Fred kissed her passionately before he pulled back a little to soon for the both of them. “We should get some sleep.”
Hermione looked up at him in surprise and suddenly felt rejected. “Nothing like that, love. I just don't want to start something when we drank this much. I don't want you to regret this in the morning. Let's just see where this takes us. We are just getting to know each other, even though seeing you like this, here in my bed.” He groaned softly. “I don't want to rush this.”
“Oh. Okay, no I get it.” She smiled. “Do you want me to go to my room?”
“Don't you dare!” He exclaimed and pulled her closer.
“Then do you have something to wear?” Fred nodded and kissed her lightly before jumping out of the bed. He started rummaging in his drawers and pulled out his old quidditch jersey. He walked up to the bed and handed it to her before he bent down to pick up her dress and draped it over the chair in the corner. He changed into his pyjama bottoms and a tank top, when he turned, Hermione had already put his jersey on and was sitting on the bed cross-legged, the jersey covering her legs. “It's a bit big.” She chuckled as he dropped down on the bed.
“I would say it's juuust right.” He winked. He took his wand of his nightstand and cast a locking spell on the door. “Wouldn't want George or Katie to walk in now, do we?”
“No, definitely not.” She smiled as she laid down on his chest, her fingers trailing the scars on his chest as Fred gently rubbed her mudblood scar with his thumb, both falling asleep as they traced each other battle wounds.

So I was too busy having an early night yesterday and being tired out if my mind to post this, so this is a post meant for the actual day 13, and the post for today is coming at my usual atrocious posting hours.
For: @microficmay
So:
Day 13 - Symphony
She thought it would be awkward, different.
But laying there between Fred and George after all those years, hearing their heartbeats, mixed huffs and snores, rain tapping on the windows and fire crackling in the mantelpiece...it was her own comfort symphony, one she'd never trade.
A troubled teen then, a heartbroken woman now - it helped all the same.

JUST ASK
Pairings: George Weasley x Fem! Summary: George asks you to the ball. Warnings: none?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
George watched you from across the room as McGonagall announced the Yule ball, you were sat between Hermione and Angie, smiles covering all your faces.
you looked over at them and leaned towards Angie
"I bet 5 galleons Fred asks you" you whispered, a smirk on your face
she looked at you and shook her head
"fine" she sighed.
-
he walked out of the room with Fred, going to lunch while thinking about the ball.
he'd been in love with you for a while now and this would be the perfect opportunity to act upon that. but he would never do anything
"Freddie!" he heard your sweet voice call out. coming up behind him and his brother
"hey, Love" Fred grinned, waiting for her to catch up, pulling you in a hug as you got to them
George would never do anything because you're his brothers best friend.
you pulled away from Fred and looked up at George, his heart fluttering at the eye contact.
you smiled gently at him "hi George"
"hello" he smiled back
"so, have you been planning any pranks lately?" you questioned as you walked with them to the great hall
"do we ever really stop planning?" Fred joked "but no, yeah, George had the great idea of- you know, it's too good, George you tell it" Fred nudged his brother and made him tell you his idea
"it's stupid it doesn't matter" George grew nervous and brushed it off
"it's not stupid, it's brilliant!" Fred exclaimed excitedly
"yeah, I bet it isn't stupid. c'mon George tell me" you pleaded as he looked down
"well I was thinking maybe one of will pretend to be Trelawney and teach a class" He explained sheepishly
"it will surely make her go more crazy, she'll probably think she has a twin or something" Fred laughed
you didn't mind Trelawney, she was crazy art times but she seemed misunderstood too. but you couldn't deny it was a good idea
you laughed along with him and agreed
"well that's definitely not stupid" you told George, he smiled and felt his cheeks warm up
-
as you sat down, the twins on the other side, already filling their plate, you decided to bring up the ball
"so, who are you guys planning on asking to the Yule ball?" you asked curiously
Fred shrugged "haven't thought about it yet." you looked at George and tilted your head at him
"I don't know" he bit into his chicken, trying to avoid the subject
"what about you? who do you want to ask you?" Fred smirked at you
"I don't know" you mimicked George's answer, he looked up at you and furrowed his eyebrows, swallowing his chicken
you would probably say no to anybody but George, but he doesn't have to know that.
"We'll it's not for a while so. Just sit back and relax for now. No need to worry" Fred smiled
"I'm not" you scoffed
"And if worse comes to worst then George will always go with you" Fred nudged him. Making George look up in shock. Frantically shaking his head
"What? No I won't" he huffed. Making a face.
You're smile faltered. Is that really his reaction?
"yeah, Fred, I would rather go with Draco Malfoy than George" you played it off, chuckling lowly
that hurt George. you would rather go with a stuck up Malfoy who only cared about blood status than him?
so George only laughed along, nodding his head
-
it was finally December and George was trying to work up the courage to finally ask you.
he was sick of hearing you talk about the ball with your friends saying you still didn't have a date.
and he didn't want to go alone either.
and he would also hate himself for not asking you and seeing you with somebody else.
so he tried thinking
he couldn't just go up to you and ask, that's not like him, he needs to go big. fireworks was so overdone though so he needed something else.
he tried to start conversations with you, One on one, which was going well
but he had ran out of ideas
so he had one choice, go to your best friend.
"Fred, I need help"
his twin looked up at him as he scribbled ideas for pranks
"what is it?" He asked
"promise you won't tease me" George mumbled
"depends on what it is" Fred shrugged cheekily
George sat on his bed, his shoulders slumped as he played with his hands
"I want to ask Y/n to the ball" he muttered
"blimey, yell it out to the world then mate" Fred said sarcastically
"I said I want to ask Y/n to the Yule Ball" George repeated louder
"my Y/n?"
the younger twin looked at him dully
"I need your help" he pleaded
"why?" Fred questioned
"because I don't know her like you do" George sighed
"why do you want to go with her?" Fred got up, standing in front of his brother
"because I like her" George confessed sheepishly
"awww, Georgie fancies a girl" Fred teased, earning a glare
"just do a firework show for her" Fred shrugged, not knowing what to say
"that's so basic, we do fireworks all the time, I want to impress her" George replied
"ah, ok then, just give her a gift" Fred suggested
"I don't know what she likes" George exclaimed, waving his hands around
Fred furrowed his eyebrows "then what the hell do you know?"
"nothing! that's why I'm asking you!" George whined loudly
Fred let out a deep breath
"fine, I'll tell you what she likes" he agreed to help
George went to his bedside table and pulled out a piece of parchment and a quill, looking to see his brother looking at him like he had two heads
"what are you doing?" Fred shook his head, confused at his brothers behaviour.
truth be told, Fred was happy for his brother, he did have his suspicions about how George acted around the girl. but now he knows.
"writing this stuff down, for ideas" George smiled innocently
the two brothers discussed everything George wanted to know about you
down to your favourite flowers, colours, time or day, food. they went into how you have multiple teddy bears on your bed and how you almost have a full collection of cards from the chocolate frogs.
"what does she like to do in her free time?" George asked, looking up at his almost filled page
"she liked going down to the black lake, she spends time in the library to read. other than that just hanging out with friends" Fred answered.
"alright" George mumbled, scribbling it down and smiling gratefully at Fred
"think that will be enough?" Fred asked, by now he was sat next to George, watching him as he wrote down what he said
"do you think it is?" George furrowed his eyebrows
"I think what you have down will be more than enough to figure out how to ask her, it also gives you a lot of space to get to know her too, this is just the bare minimum" Fred nodded his head.
"alright" George looked down at the piece of paper again, smiling at it "thanks, Fred" he whispered to his brother
"don't worry about it, she'll say yes" Fred nudged him, sensing the nervousness in his brothers voice.
George could only hope that this information could help him. because he was slumped.
--
you came back to your room after dinner to find a letter on your bed, your name written in a rough messy handwriting on it. with a chocolate frog box on top of it.
you picked them both up and decided to go for the letter, you unfolded it and read it to yourself
meet me at the astronomy tower after after you read this.
sincerely, Wait and see ;)
you put it down and took the chocolate, opening the box, catching the frog as it hopped out,
"not so fast, bugger" you murmured.
after the frog stopped struggling you took out the card, noticing to name that you always looked for, the finishing touch to your collection since you started since 1st year.
you smiled as you saw his face in the card, the name reading
Celestina Warbeck.
you contemplated going or not, and when Angelina came into your dorm, she excitedly told you you should go, because you never know what it could be?
you put on a jumper and went off to the astronomy tower, hugging yourself protectively, your wand in your pocket in case.
you walked up the stairs and went in, noticing his tall figure in the darkness of the room.
the sun was almost fully and it was coming to the time where it started to snow for the winter.
you walked closer
"George?" you recognised him from behind, it couldn't of been Fred, you saw him in the common room when you left
he smiled at you nervously, his grin seeming lopsided
"hello" He swallowed deeply
you looked around the tower, no one else in sight
"disappointed?" he sighed
you looked back up at him and shook your head vigorously
"no- No I'm not disappointed, shocked? surprised? yes" you replied quickly
he revealed a bouquet of your favourite flowers from behind his back, handing them out to you
"oh? thank you George, they're my favourite! how'd you know?" you took them from his hands
"lucky guess, I'd say" he chuckled
"so why'd you bring me up here?" you interrogated him, smelling the flowers
"well I was hoping that maybe- only if you want to, of course, that you'd might- maybe, want to go to the Yule ball, with a certain Weasley?" he rambled sheepishly
"and who might that certain Weasley be?" you smirked
"me" he whispered, his eyes wide with anticipation of your answer
"I wouldn't rather go with anybody else" you beamed up at him
"good- great that is perfect, thank you- um, amazing" he stumbled on his words
he couldn't describe the feeling of you saying yes even if he tried, he was more than every word that describes happy.
"well then, shall we go back, or do you want to stay and watch the start come out" he looked up at the dark sky, noticing a few little shining stars
"I'd like to stay here for a bit it that's ok with you" you replied
"perfect"
-
you guys got closer throughout the weeks leading up to the ball, you got to know each other and went out to Hogsmeade for a date.
and tonight, the ball. you hadn't seen each other all day
you walked up to him as he stood facing Fred, away from you.
he noticed Fred averting his eyes to something behind him, making him turn, seeing you, in a long dress, looking like it was made of silk
you looked breathtakingly beautiful to him
"bloody hell" he whispered Fred whispering the same thing beside him
Fred had never seen his best friend look so beautiful. and when he looked over to his brother, he saw the love that was held in his eyes as he looked at you.
"Hi" you looked at them
"Hey, Love" Fred smiled, hitting George in the arm to make him answer
"Hi" he said, looking like he was in a trance
"Angie's on her way, t be honest I have no idea where she went, she was beside me one minute and gone the next" you giggled, looking at Fred
"gorgeous" George stopped Fred from responding by blurting out suddenly
"pardon?" you apologised, asking his to repeat
"you look. absolutely gorgeous" he breathed
you blushed profusely
"thank you George, you look really handsome"
"ready?" he holds out his arms for you. you look over at Fred and furrow your eyebrows
"go on, i need to wait for Angie, I'll see ya in there" he smiled
you smiled and locked your arm with George "let's go"
Fred watched as you two walked into the hall, a big smile on his face as he saw his two best friends together.

devil eyes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: theodore nott x reader.
song inspiration: devil eyes by hippie sabotage.
author's note: this spicy fic is in collaboration with my darling @writingsbychlo. make sure you check out hide and seek. we've been scheming for weeks and i'm so happy to finally share this fun little story with all of you. keep an eye out for some cheeky cameos 👀
Tumblr media
The cardinal rule of Gryffindor House was plain and simple—never ever make a bet with the Weasley twins.
Anyone stupid enough to do so either found themselves out a pocketful of galleons or worse, owing Fred and George a no questions asked favour that the pesky redheads could cash in at any time.
Unfortunately, you were a little more than tipsy off of a bottle of firewhisky and bet one of the twins, Fred? George?—you couldn’t remember which ginger you’d sold your soul to—that you could easily outfly him on the pitch during a quidditch after party. After a violent hangover, the annoying git actually showed up outside of your dorm with a Firebolt in each hand.
“Let’s see those skills in action then, Y/N.”
On a normal day, you might’ve managed it. You were smaller and lighter than Fred, which gave you an advantage in flight, but as your head pounded and your stomach churned, you knew there was no way you were getting on that bloody broom. Though your house motto was all about being bold and brave, you weren’t reckless enough to risk it.
Instead, you settled for a favour.
In hindsight, you probably should’ve just stuck to death by eating shit on the quidditch pitch. It would’ve been a hell of a lot better than trying to squeeze yourself into a stupid tiny little costume that bordered on exotic dancer more than scary witch, but it’s not like you had much of a choice. You had a debt to settle. Fred made sure to remind you of that.
While the rest of your housemates headed to the Forbidden Forest, you were busy preparing for the vital role that your ginger overlords had assigned to you for the night. Since it was Fred and George’s last year, the twins were determined to solidify their status as Hogwarts legends. What better way to leave their mark than throwing a huge rager in the forest? Thus, the All Hallow’s Eve Fest was born.
As far as your professors knew, it would be a small festival to celebrate the season complete with carnival games, enchanted rides, and cornfield mazes. All harmless fun. But the student body knew that the Weasley twins had something far more devious up their sleeves.
From what Fred told you, the night would be full of secret passages, elaborate tricks, and actors and actresses who would add to the whole allure. You were to be one of them. Tonight, you were playing the part of a seductive sorceress who ripped out the hearts of unsuspecting men.
You were practically made for the role, Fred joked.
You threatened to resort to method acting and grabbed at the front of his shirt with every intent to rip his heart out of his chest. Luckily for him, George came to his rescue and tore his twin from your grasp before you could inflict damage.
“See you at the Forbidden Forest at seven sharp,” Fred called as he tossed the costume at you. “Don’t be late, Y/N!”
At half past six, you almost considered skipping the event altogether, but that would mean owing the twins yet another favour. It was best to get this over with as quickly as possible. Sighing, you tugged on some fishnet tights and slipped into a pair of high-heeled boots that laced all the way up to your thighs. You placed a hand on your hip, frowning at your reflection in the mirror of the prefect’s bathroom.
“Are you trying to scare the masses or seduce them?”
You turned around to find your friend Chloe perched up against the sink, smirking as she raised a brow at you.
“I’m supposed to be a bloodthirsty sorceress,” you said as you snatched her tube of lipstick and painted your lips with a fiery red shade. “Know any men who wouldn’t mind having their hearts ripped out?”
She chuckled, swinging her legs in the air. “A few. The boys will be in skull makeup tonight, so aim for them first. Save the curly one for me, though.”
“You’ve sent Riddle out on that wild goose chase of yours, then?”
Chloe smirked and blew on her freshly painted nails. “He’s got until midnight to find me.”
“What happens when the clock strikes twelve?”
“Let’s just say that I’m fully prepared to live up to my house’s name and let him slither in.”
“At least one of us is having fun tonight.”
“Who says you can’t? You may owe Fred a favour, but that doesn’t mean you can’t cause a little trouble.”
You smirked in the mirror as you put on the final piece of the costume. The gold mask fit perfectly over your eyes and truly completed the sinister seductive sorceress part that Fred cast you as tonight.
“I like the way you think.”
Tumblr media
The promise of mischief and chaos helped to put a little pep in your step as you and Chloe parted ways. You didn’t even recognize the Forbidden Forest as you stepped foot into the haunted woods. There were colourful tents set up all around the clearing, some containing mirrored mazes and others promised fortunes readings. The combination of red lights and creepy fog gave the demented looking carnival an eerie feel. As much as you hated to admit it, the twins have really outdone themselves tonight.
After running through the spell that conjured a hyper realistic heart that you’d be ripping out of unsuspecting victims all night, Fred directed you towards the east side of the forest.
“Remember, it’s not a good night unless someone’s pissed themselves out of fear,” Fred reminded you for the thousandth time.
“You’re a sadist, Forge.”
Fred placed a hand over his heart. “That’s the nicest thing you’ve ever said to me, Y/N.”
“Piss off, yeah?”
He chuckled. “I’d tell you to act scary, but you’ve got that down pat.” Fred cocked his head, examining your costume. “Although, would it kill you to show a little more leg?”
“It won’t kill me, but I might kill you.”
Fortunately for Fred, George plucked his twin away from your murderous clutches to start greeting their guests. By the time it was half past seven, the clearing was full of your fellow students. Despite your initial reluctance, scaring the absolute piss out of people was actually a lot of fun. As Fred predicted, you had a natural talent for it.
The first group that wandered into your neck of the woods consisted of your fellow housemates. Dean and Seamus led the pack while Ron and Harry followed close behind. The Chosen One was as pale as Peeves. Weasley, on the other hand, looked as though he might vomit at any moment. Leading the rear, Hermione shook her head and marched forward. Neville matched her pace as he nervously darted through the twisted roots choking up the forest floor.
You waited until their group passed through the twisted willow tree before jumping out. Dean screamed in surprise while Seamus scrambled away from you. Thanks to Fred’s little trick, your hand went right through Finnigan’s shirt which caused him to shriek in terror. With a twisted smile, you yanked the hyper realistic heart out of his chest and cackled in delight.
At the sight of the beating organ in your hands, Neville nearly passed out. Dean hauled Seamus to his feet while Ron and Harry hightailed it out of there. Hermione chuckled, shaking her head at the boys.
“Well, they lasted longer than I thought they would,” she said. “Stuck out here for the night, Y/N?”
“Unfortunately,” you replied as you vanished the dry blood with a quick spell. “Anyone you want me to scare the absolute wits out of tonight, Mione?”
She chuckled, shaking her head. “No, I don’t have any scores to settle.” You nodded, wishing her a good rest of the night.
Hermione bid you the same and started to follow the direction that the boys fled to. Before she disappeared through the thicket, a familiar, drawling voice called her back.
“Well, well, well, if it isn’t the golden girl.”
Draco Malfoy appeared in the clearing. There was skull makeup on his face, but the shock of platinum blonde hair gave away his identity almost instantly. He stalked towards Hermione with that arrogant aristocratic smirk, completely oblivious that you were lurking in the dark.
“All alone in the woods, little lion?”
Hermione’s gaze flickered towards you. A smile curved against her lips as her honey eyes glimmered with mischief. “On second thought…”
The golden girl hadn’t even finished the rest of her sentence before you yanked Draco by the wrist and pushed him up against the weeping willow. The blonde blinked, his silver eyes full of surprise and terror as you raked your nails along the column of his throat. The red varnish looked like blood against his pale skin.
“All alone in the woods, little serpent?”
Draco steeled himself. “And who are you supposed to be?”
You smirked. “I’ll be whoever you want, darling.” Malfoy shivered as you pressed a palm against his chest. He leaned into your touch, his heart beating erratically underneath your fingertips. For Godric’s sake, he was truly making this way too easy. “As long as you give me your heart.”
Never in his life had Draco Malfoy looked so terrified. The colour drained from his face as you reached through his perfectly tailored button down shirt, fingers slipping through the expensive silk material. You laughed maniacally and caressed his cheek.
“Brace yourself, sweetheart. This might hurt a bit.”
Without warning, you yanked his heart out of his chest. Draco stared in utter horror as blood dripped from your fingertips. The tell-tale heart pounded in your palm,  the mess of flesh and tissue covering your arm with carnage. To Malfoy’s credit, he didn’t scream or flee like your housemates. Instead, the Slytherin appeared rather impressed.
“The spell work’s not bad.” Draco said with a smirk. He lifted your palm and examined the heart. “A word of advice, though. I would’ve turned the heart black. It would’ve been more realistic.”
Just as you rolled your eyes, a deep, husky voice pulled your attention away from the blonde.
“Who even knew Draco Malfoy had a heart?”
You turned to find a gathering of serpents in the clearing. They were all wearing matching skull makeup, but you could clearly tell who each male was. The gang of Slytherins were pretty infamous and easily recognizable. The curly headed one had to be Mattheo Riddle. His gaze darted through the trees as though he expected someone to appear out of the thick fog. You had to hand it to her, Chloe had the Slytherin eating right out of her hand.
The one beside him stood a little bit taller and though his face was smeared in the same white and black paint, there was no mistaking Enzo Berkshire’s lopsided grin and soft hazel eyes. Flanking either side of him was Blaize Zabini and Pansy Parkinson, the it-couple of your year, which only left one other serpent to account for. The male that had spoken earlier had to be none other than Theodore Nott.
You turned your attention back to him, squinting in the faint light as he prowled towards you. Theodore was considerably taller than the rest of his friends, but not in the awkward scrawny way that most boys his age were. He was slim yet strong, sculpted by years of playing quidditch. The makeup only accentuated his high cheekbones and his ridiculously sharp jawline, but it was his eyes—those dead, cold eyes that had half the school swooning over him that gave you pause.
Theodore grinned as you released your hold on Draco. He cocked his head, arrogance and swagger radiating off of him in waves as his eyes roamed your body. There was something unsettling about his gaze—Theodore’s eyes were neither green nor blue, but rather some undiscovered shade that reminded you of watercolours bleeding into each other.
The manner in which he ogled you was shameless. He drank in your tight corset, the fishnet tights, and the thigh high boots like you were a painting on the walls of a gallery, pinned up for his viewing pleasure. You held your head high, completely undeterred by his stare. Besides, two could play that game.
You schooled your features into indifference. “Who are you supposed to be? The Pumpkin King?”
Theodore flashed you a charming smile that you had no doubt made the rest of the student population swoon. “I’ll be your Jack if you agree to be my Sally, sweetheart.”
As slowly as possible, you dragged your gaze from the top of his head to the bottom of his feet. Theodore smirked as you surveyed him just as he had done to you a few moments ago. Staying true to his Slytherin roots, Theodore wore a black suit and matching freshly pressed trousers, but the silk shirt underneath was maroon—Gryffindor colours. Your house colours.
“Brave of you to wear rival colours.”
“I thought you’d be happy,” Theodore drawled. “Better to hide the blood when you rip my heart out, darling.”
“You think I care about making a mess?” you said with a smirk. “That’s half of the fun.”
Theodore flashed you a smile that spelled nothing but trouble. “Oh, I think you’re just my kind of witch.”
“Oi, Notty boy! If you’re done flirting, we’re heading to the mirror maze.”
Blaise was regarded with a wave of dismissal. “I’ll catch up with you guys later.”
Hermione lingered by the edge of the clearing. She raised a brow in a silent question. You merely shrugged. Theodore Nott wasn’t anything you couldn’t handle.
“Give Longbottom my apologies, Mione. And a calming draught,” you added as an afterthought. “The poor bloke will need it.”
Your friend smiled. “Sure thing. Shall I tell the twins that you’re…indisposed?”
“No, let my wardens sweat it out a bit.”
Hermione chuckled and waved you off. The rest of the Slytherins followed shortly after, leaving you alone with Theodore. You locked eyes for a moment before you spun on your heel and walked off in the opposite direction. The brunette stared after you in stunned silence before you looked over your shoulder and smirked at him.
“Well, are you coming or not, Theodore?”
The sounds of the leaves crunching below his boots indicated that Theodore had snapped out of his stupor and was catching up to you. He did so rather quickly, thanks to those long legs of his. One of his strides was equal to three of yours. It took little to no effort on his part before the two of you were walking side by side.
“You know who I am, then?”
You shrugged. “It’s not hard to tell you and your cronies apart.”
Theodore grinned lazily and cocked his head at you. He squinted against the faint light, no doubt trying to ascertain a hint of your identity from underneath the gold mask.
“It hardly seems fair. You know who I am, but I have no idea who you are.”
You smirked at him. “I’m Sally, remember?”
“Does that mean I’m your Jack?”
“For the night, at least.”
He seemed content with that answer. “Where are we headed now, little witch?”
“The Graveyard.”
Theodore appeared slightly baffled, but brooked no argument as you led him through a thicket of trees. You chuckled at the sight of him following you blindly. “A strange girl just told you she was leading you to a graveyard and you didn’t even bat an eyelash. I thought you Slytherins were all about self-preservation?”
“I have no intention of preserving myself tonight,” Theodore drawled. “Feel free to ruin me, Sally.”
“I suppose you think you’re rather charming, don’t you Jack?”
“I don’t think, darling. I know.”
You rolled your eyes and walked toward the lone tombstone in between the weeping willows. Theodore watched as you waved your wand and muttered an incantation. The ground rumbled beneath your feet, clearing the leaves until an ominous set of stairs appeared in front of the grave.
Theodore peered over your shoulder. “I suppose you won’t be telling me what’s down there, will you Sally?”
“Don’t worry, Jack. I’ll hold your hand in case you get scared.”
It was meant to be a joke, but Theodore took the jest to heart and slipped his hand into yours. You smirked as you intertwined your fingers. If he thought a little hand holding would bother you, then Theodore had no idea what he was in for tonight.
“Lead the way, love.”
You led him down the steps, plunging into darkness the lower you went. Theodore took the opportunity to press up behind you and kept a hand on your waist as the two of you descended. He was so close that the scent of his expensive cologne mixed with cigarette smoke assaulted your senses.
A red hazy light flashed up ahead. The pounding music and excited chatter of your fellow classmates grew louder as you and Theodore were transported into the speakeasy. The bar was stocked with alcohol, shots and cocktails floating mid-air with themed drinks like Merlin’s Mourge-a-rita, Witches’ Brew, and Cauldron Colada. You hailed Parvati down who was apparently serving as the bartender tonight along with her twin sister.
“We’ll take two El Diablos.”
Theodore raised a brow, but didn’t protest as Parvati presented the shots in front of you. Your fellow housemate also floated a salt shaker and a bowl of limes on the counter. You sprinkled salt on the back of your hand and grabbed a lime wedge in preparation. Theodore did the same, minus the lime.
“Bottoms up, Jack.”
“Cheers, Sally.”
After licking the salt off of your hand, you clinked your glass against Theodore’s and knocked the drink back. The El Diablo certainly lived up to its name. The drink was a combination of tequila mixed with pepperup potion and topped off with a hint of cayenne. Needless to say, it had a bit of a kick.
With a slight grimace, you bit down on the lime, which helped with the unpleasant aftertaste. Theodore caught your wrist and held your gaze as he directed your hand up to his mouth. He mimicked your move and sucked hard on the lime, his lips brushing your fingers as he licked the juice from where it had dribbled onto your palm.
A shiver snaked down your spine. You may be a shameless flirt, but Theodore was definitely matching your energy.
“I can’t believe the twins built a speakeasy down here,” Theodore said. He leaned in close so you could hear him over the music. “I’m almost impressed.”
“I’ll tell my wardens you said that.”
“You keep calling them that,” Theodore said, his lips grazing the shell of your ear. “You wouldn’t mean that one of the weasels is your ball and chain in a literal sense, right?”
“Are you jealous, Jack?”
He smirked. “I just want to know which twin I’m sending to the infirmary tonight.”
You chuckled. “I’m not dating Fred or George. I just owe them a favour. Speaking of which, I’ve got some men to scare. Be a good boy and wait for me here.”
Theodore shook his head. “Oh, I’m not letting you out of my sight. I’m yours for the night, remember?” He toyed with the laces on your corset and pulled you towards him, your breasts pressing against the hard muscles of his chest. “I have a proposition for you, little witch.”
You quirked a brow, which made Theodore chuckle darkly. “Not that kind of proposition, principessa.” He twirled the lace between his fingers. “I say we terrorise the student body together.”
“You want to help me do my job?”
Theodore shrugged. “Why not? We can be partners in crime.”
You cocked your head. It certainly would be more fun to have someone else partake in your chore. Curling your fingers around his maroon tie, you pulled Theodore down to your level. His gaze flickered to your mouth and you couldn’t help the thrill that buzzed in your veins as you watched him swallow thickly.
“You’ve got a deal, Jack.”
As it turns out, Theodore was an excellent partner in crime. The two of you concocted a rather effective formula to inflict fear upon your classmates. The Red Room soon became your hunting grounds. In the creepy blood soaked maze, Theodore chased groups through the enchanted room while you lurked in the shadows. As soon as they thought they were safe from skull face, the groups were then led right into your trap.
You could hardly count the amount of people you scared shitless tonight.
Eventually the two of you returned to the bar for more drinks. You ordered another round of shots, which Theodore accepted without question. By the time you were six shots deep, the tequila had annihilated any sense of personal space between you. Theodore leaned down to take a sip of your drink.
“Trying to get me drunk, love?”
“That depends,” you quipped back. “How many drinks do I need to plie you with until you agree to dance?”
“With you? I’d say yes while stone cold sober.”
You grinned. “Come on, then.”
Theodore allowed you to guide him away from the bar and into the throng of your fellow classmates. It was total debauchery out on the dance floor. The music pulsed seductively as bodies writhed to the hypnotic beat and the red light bathed the crowd in a sinister glow as the alcohol loosened both limbs and lips.
The warmth of the tequila made you feel flushed, but it was nothing compared to the heat of Theodore’s hands on your waist. With your back pressed against his chest, you swayed your hips to the beat of the music. You rocked side to side and grinded against him, which caused his grip to tighten. Theodore’s fingers dug into your sides as you wrapped an arm around his neck and arched your back against his chest.
His dark lashes fluttered as your lips brushed against the column of his throat. Theodore shuddered when you nipped at his skin. A low groan escaped his mouth as he tried to chase your lips, but you dropped low to the floor and left him in a daze.
Theodore caught your wrist and pressed you flush against him. “Hasn’t anyone ever told you that it’s not polite to tease?’
“Do I look like someone who gives a shit about being polite?” You wrapped your arms around his shoulders and toyed with the curls at the nape of his neck. “You should know that I have a terrible habit of playing with my food.”
Theodore smirked and fisted your hair between his fingers. “And you should know that I have no qualms about being toyed with. As long as you promise to devour me later, little witch.”
You brushed up against him and felt his hardness rub against you. “Cross my heart and hope to die. I’ll get my taste of you tonight.” He inhaled sharply as you tugged him down to you. His eyes fluttered, fully expecting a kiss. “But before that, would you be a dear and get me another drink? I’m absolutely parched.”
A pained expression dawned on his handsome features. Theodore was fully aware of the little cat and mouse game you were playing, but he seemed keen to play along. If only to please you.
“You’re killing me, bella,” Theodore said with a sigh. He leaned down and pressed a lingering kiss on your cheek, a promise of what was to come. “I’ll be right back. Stay here, yeah?”
“Don’t take too long,” you said with a wink. “I might get impatient.”
With that, Theodore hustled back to the bar. You chuckled at the sight. Your amusement only grew as Chloe approached. As soon as she was within reach, you tugged your friend onto the dancefloor. She happily obliged, the moves flowing naturally. The two of you were known to bring the whole house down at countless parties.
“I take it Riddle hasn’t found you yet?”
“No, but he’s close.” Chloe shouted over the music, motioning to the bar where her boyfriend was currently standing. Mattheo, Theo, and Draco were talking in hushed whispers, looking rather serious.
“Gettin’ colder, he and Draco are heading toward the exit.”
The poor Slytherin was chasing after some unsuspecting blonde girl who looked a lot like Chloe from behind. A mischievous grin curved against her lips as she watched Theodore weave his way back to you, toting a drink in each hand.
“Is that Theodore Nott you’re flirting with?”
“Maybe, maybe not,” you replied with a coy smile. “He doesn't know it’s me, though, so if he asks you, you have no idea who I am tonight.”
“My lips are sealed.”
With a wink, Chloe slipped away just as Theodore returned. He handed you a drink and watched as you sipped it slowly. Theodore downed his cocktail in less than a minute and tossed his cup into the nearest trash can.
“Impatient, aren’t we?”
“You promised a taste.”
You smirked, chugging the rest of your drink and wiping the corner of your mouth with your thumb. Theodore watched intently as you set the empty cup down. “Come and get it, then.”
The words had barely left your lips before Theodore kissed you. There wasn’t a hint of timidness in the way that his lips crashed against yours, a soft moan escaping his mouth as he tilted your chin up to gently bite down on your lower lip. You gasped when he nipped at you, leaving your mouth open for his tongue to slide into.
The taste of him was intoxicating as he massaged your tongue against his, licking the roof of your mouth before he kissed you sloppily, open-mouthed and positively obscene despite the crowd dancing around you. What started out as a kiss turned into a full blown make out session in the middle of the dance floor. Neither one of you felt a hint of shame as you shared another filthy kiss. With a groan, Theodore’s hands roamed along your back and squeezed when he reached your ass.
“Fuck, you have no idea what you’re doing to me right now.”
You smirked, already equipped with a salacious response when your gaze caught on the clock behind the bar. It was nearly midnight and the twins had instructed all the actors and actresses to gather in the main entrance for the grand finale. Fred and George would have a fit if they found out you had abandoned your post. The twats would probably demand another favour out of you. There was no way you were going to shackle yourself to the Weasleys a second time.
“Shit,” you hissed under your breath. “It’s almost midnight. I have to get back.”
“I thought you were my Sally,” Theodore drawled. He looked slightly dazed, his curly hair dishevelled and his lips swollen from your kisses. “Not Cinderella.”
“I’m being serious, Nott. If I’m not back before the clock strikes twelve, I’ll have to owe the twins another favour.”
“Don’t worry, I’ll get you back in time. Besides, if we’re playing into this whole Cinderella fantasy then let’s skip to the good part and see if it fits and by it I mean me inside of you.”
His words sent a shiver down your spine. Before you knew it, you were dragging Theodore out of the speakeasy. The two of you climbed the steps three at a time, nearly tumbling over one another as you raced up the stairs. The woods were dark and foreboding, but provided plenty of cover for your illicit activities.
You tugged Theodore along by his tie and he pressed you against an oak tree, the bark biting at your exposed skin. You were kissing again in no time and the sounds the two of you made were downright lewd. Theodore reached for your mask, but you swatted his hand away.
“The mask stays on.”
He smirked. “I didn’t think it was possible to get any harder, but you seem to be an overachiever.”
“I aim to please.”
Theodore smirked against your neck as he hiked you up and wrapped your legs around his waist. His hand wandered underneath your skirt and those deft fingers of his teased along your soaked core.
“You’re so fucking wet, little witch.” You groaned as he plunged his fingers between your folds. “Such a pretty cunt too. Will you clench this tightly around my cock when I fuck you?”
“There’s only one way to find out,” you whispered huskily.
A stream of curses fell from Theodore’s lips, but not in a language that you understood. Italian, perhaps. Whatever it was, it sounded sexy as hell. You unbuckled his belt and slipped your hand into his trousers, feeling his hard length twitch in response. A choked groan rumbled through his chest as you pumped him between your fingers.
You swallowed thickly. Theodore was long and hard, his cock almost too big to fit inside of you. But you always did like a challenge.
Those watercolour eyes that had been pinned on you all night turned positively dark. The strange blue and green shade that you had grown familiar with was now swallowed by darkness, leaving Theodore with a gaze that would’ve rivalled Medusa’s. You felt it searing into your skin as you sank down on his length, biting your lip as he stretched your walls.
“Merda,” Theodore cursed. “So fucking tight. C’mon pretty girl, that’s it. I know you can take all of me.”
You shuddered a breath as he pushed inside. Theodore watched with hungry eyes as you took him inch by inch. It seemed never ending. “Fuck, you’re so big.”
Tears pricked the back of your eyes. The stretch was an equal measure of pain and pleasure. You could feel every ridge and vein on his cock and your pussy hugged around him as he throbbed inside of you.
Theodore caressed your cheek. “It’s alright, little witch. I know you can take it. I’m yours, remember? Your partner-in-crime. So use me, dolcezza. You’re in charge tonight. Just set the pace and I’ll follow.”
The reassuring words encouraged you to slowly grind against him. Theodore hissed as you lifted your hips until only his tip was inside of you. His mouth was hot and needy against yours as you grinded down to take all of him again.
“Che cazzo,” Theodore murmured as he bottomed out.
The drag of his cock was delicious. He filled you to the hilt and pressed his hand on your stomach to feel his length buried deep inside of you. The tightness it caused made the both of you groan. You rolled your hips and set a steady pace, lowering onto his cock over and over again while you whimpered.
“Oh, fuck. It feels like you’re splitting me apart.”
Theodore groaned as he sucked and nipped at your neck. The heat of his tongue was everywhere, leaving marks on your skin in his wake. It would be a pain in the ass to cover, but you didn’t care as you continued to ride him.
“Salazar fucking save me, your pussy feels like heaven.”
Theodore chuckled darkly as you clenched around him. He untied the laces of your corset impatiently, freeing your breasts from the constraints. Theodore brushed his thumb over your hard nipples before taking one into his mouth. He watched with eager eyes as you moaned, sucking and swirling his tongue while you picked up the pace.
“You look so pretty when you fuck me,” Theodore hummed as he flicked his tongue against your stiffened peaks. “Ride me harder, little witch. That’s it. Yeah, roll your hips just like that. Good girl.”
“Gods, I didn’t expect you to have such a filthy mouth,” you said with a low laugh. “You’re always so quiet in class.”
“So we have a class together,” Theodore said as he thrusted upwards to match your pace. “I thought you sounded familiar.”
“Is that so?”
“It’s on the tip of my tongue, but I can't quite grasp it. I guess I’ll just have to pay extra attention to all the Gryffindor girls in my classes.”
“I’m a Gryffindor? How do you figure that?”
“Besides your entire personality? You seemed friendly with Granger and though you complain about the twins, I’d wager that you’re mates as well.”
“Smart and handsome,” you said with a smirk.  “You’re full of surprises aren’t you, Jack?”
Theodore smirked and thrusted sharply inside of you. “You have no idea, Sally.”
“I thought I was in charge tonight,” you said in a stern voice.
“You are, but I think you could use a little encouragement. You’re holding back.”
You circled your hips before lifting them and slamming back down. Theodore’s eyes rolled to the back of his head.
“Does it feel like I’m holding back?”
“I’m a patient man, but if you keep toying with me like this I might just have to fuck that attitude right out of you, little witch.”
You tilted your chin up and smirked. “So do it.”
All that bravado left your body as Theodore rutted into you. He drove his cock deep within you, stretching your walls until you were clawing at his back. Theodore grunted as you squelched and squeezed around his length. His pace was relentless and punishing, guiding your hips to bounce on his cock while you moaned in pleasure.
“Oh gods, right there.” You cried out, burying your face into his neck.
You inhaled his scent greedily and sank your teeth into his flesh. Theodore slowed his pace and chuckled darkly when you whined.
“What’s the matter, little witch? Can’t take a dose of your own medicine?”
“Don’t stop,” you whimpered. “Keep going. I’m so close.”
“Beg me, darling. Tell me how desperate you are. I want to hear those pretty little words.”
Theodore halted his movements, his tip barely inside of you as he teased along your folds. He held your hips in place so you couldn’t sink down to take more of him. Usually, you were used to taking charge, but the way he put you in your place had you creaming all over him. Needless to say, you weren’t above begging at this point.
“Please, I need you. Fuck me harder. Give me everything. I can take it. Every fucking inch.”
“Merda, you’re fucking filthy. Begging for my cock like a good little slut. Brace yourself, bella. Remember that you asked for this.”
A whimper fell from your lips as Theodore bucked into your cunt. His cock impaled you, splitting you apart and knocking the very breath from your lungs as he fucked you roughly against the tree. He squeezed your ass, keeping a firm grip to secure you in place as he jackknifed into you.
“Oh gods,” you sobbed, raking your nails underneath his shirt and dragging red lines all along his back. Theodore hissed as you clawed at him, thrusting so hard that your teeth rattled every time he drove into you. “Fuck, it’s too much.”
Theodore grabbed your chin harshly. “No, it’s not. You begged to be fucked, now take my cock like the perfect little whore I know that you are, yeah?”
You nodded. Words escaped you at the moment. The filth coming out of Theodore’s mouth aroused you in more ways than one. Who knew that the silent Slytherin fucked like a god?
A stray tear rolled down your cheek. Theodore licked it away and chuckled as you whimpered. “Are you crying, sweetheart? Such pretty little sobs. Don’t worry, you’ll get your reward. You’ve been such a good girl for me and good girls get to cum.”
At that, Theodore rubbed your clit and pushed you over the edge. His fingers were magic against your sensitive bundle of nerves and it wasn’t long before you were clenching around him, making his hips stutter as the orgasm blindsided you. A scream echoed through the woods and it was only when Theodore covered your mouth when you realised that the sound had come from you.
“Fuck,” Theodore cursed, dropping his forehead to yours. “Merda, I’m not gonna last much longer. Not when that pretty pussy of yours is milking me dry. Oh gods, I’m gonna cum—“
You wrapped your legs tighter around his waist as his body seized underneath you. Theodore bit into your flesh as he came, leaving a bruised purple mark on your collarbone. You had never seen anyone look as beautiful as he did when he lost control, lips parted, cheeks flushed, devil eyes rolling back as the orgasm thoroughly rocked him.
The stillness that settled over the Forbidden Forest was almost eerie. The two of you looked at one another, dazed and confused as though you weren’t even sure who or where you were at the moment. Through all your romps, no one has ever put your body to the test like Theodore has. You could tell by his intense gaze that he likely felt the same.
Theodore set you down gently. Compared to how rough he was a few moments ago, the contrast almost made you laugh. You heard the chime of the clock echo a beat later.
Fuck. That only gave you a minute to sprint through the woods and make it back in time before the twins reached your clearing. You frantically re-tied your corset and straightened the skirts of your dress. Theodore was busy buckling his belt.
“I have to go,” you said as you shrugged your robe back on. “I’ll see you around, Jack.”
“Wait, you never told me your name!”
But Theodore was too late. You were already gone by the time he looked up. He sighed and started making his way back to the festivities. The last chime of the clock indicated that it was midnight. He could only hope that you’d gotten back in time.
Theodore paused as something crunched underneath his feet. He peered down at the forest floor and found something golden peeking out amongst the leaves. With a smile, he picked up the golden mask.
It looks like his mystery girl left him a clue after all.
Theodore would find his Sally.
He’d make sure of it.
Tumblr media
Theodore couldn’t remember the last time he was this excited to attend class.
After the All Hallow’s Eve party, he’d done everything he could to dig up information on his mystery girl. Theodore had even gone as far as to interrogate the Weasley twins, but as usual, the redheaded menaces were unnecessarily difficult about it.
“Sorry, mate, but we don’t reveal the identity of our actors and actresses,” George said with a shit-eating grin.
Fred nodded in agreement. “Confidentiality and all that. We wouldn’t want to go around spilling trade secrets. It’s bad for business.”
The weasels stayed mum even after Theodore offered them a ridiculous amount of money to reveal his mystery girl’s identity. Unfortunately, his desperation only served to intrigue the twins and the sadistic little gits seemed to derive pleasure in seeing Theodore grow more and more frustrated.
“Best of luck to you, Nott,” Fred said with a little smile. “If you do end up finding her, you’ll need all the fortune you can get. She’s a feisty thing, that one.”
“I know,” Theodore said with a glare. “That’s exactly why I want to find her.”
George chuckled. “Godric bless your heart.”
If the twats weren’t his main weed suppliers, Theodore would’ve punched their teeth in. Despite Fred and George’s general uselessness, he was in a good mood when Monday rolled around. Equipped with the knowledge that his mystery girl was in one of his classes, he made sure to pay extra attention to every Gryffindor girl. It was only a matter of time before he found her.
“You’re smiling,” Enzo commented as he caught up to Theodore in the courtyard. “What’s happened? Did my cousin fall down the moving stairs again?”
Theodore snorted. “Even better, Berkshire. I’m going to find my mystery girl today and you’re going to help me.”
“How?”
“You’re friends with literally everyone. Someone has to know who she is.”
“Hmm, come to think of it Mattheo’s girlfriend is good friends with a lot of the Gryffindor girls. I bet she’d know who it is.”
“Good, let’s start there. Where is Chloe anyways?”
“Probably in the Great Hall with Mattheo.”
The two of them headed over to where the rest of the castle was currently having breakfast. Enzo made a beeline for their usual table where Mattheo, Blaise, and Draco were seated, but Thedore didn’t follow. He stopped in his tracks when he spotted Chloe seated with a girl who looked vaguely familiar to him. Theodore was sure that you had Charms together. More than that, you were wearing a red and gold tie. A Gryffindor.
Theodore inched closer, skirting around the edges to listen in on the conversation.
“How was your weekend?”
Theodore froze. He knew that voice. It was husky and seductive and sounded exactly like how his mystery girl had when she’d whispered in his ear.
It was you.
It had to be.
“It was good,” Chloe responded with a grin. “Really good.”
“Mattheo found you after all, then?”
“He did and suffice to say he liked the second part of my costume more than the first.”
You laughed in response. Chloe leaned in and lowered her voice. “What about you? You disappeared from the speakeasy, so I’m assuming I’m not the only one who had an eventful night.”
“It was fine.”
“Just fine?”
You flushed, biting your bottom lip. “It was the best lay of my life.”
Theodore smirked. So it wasn’t just him, then. The sex had truly been something else entirely. He had been confident that you must’ve felt the same way in the moment, but doubt crept in since you’d run off so abruptly. Now he had confirmation and it was satisfying as hell to hear you say it.
“There you are,” Enzo said from behind him. “I brought Mattheo, so we can ask Chloe about your mystery girl.”
“That little witch of yours really put a spell on you, huh, Nott?” Mattheo teased. “Let’s go, then. Maybe my girl can help.”
Chloe looked up and smiled as Mattheo leaned down to kiss her. You glanced up at the exact moment that Theodore came into view. He clocked the way your cheeks flushed as your gaze landed on him.
“You know my boyfriend,” Chloe said. You nodded at Mattheo who shot you a polite smile back. “That’s Enzo and Theo. Boys, meet Y/N. Y/N, meet the boys.”
Theodore took your hand and brushed his lips against your knuckles. “Hello, Sally.”
You smiled back in return. “Hello, Jack.”
Chloe’s eyes widened, immediately taking stock of the situation. Mattheo and Enzo were slower to catch on, but luckily she ushered the boys away.
“We’ll give you two some privacy.”
You tried not to laugh as Chloe winked behind Theodore’s back.
“I found you.”
“So it seems.”
“I guess you won’t be needing this anymore,” he said as he pulled out the golden mask from his backpack. Theodore’s intense gaze swept over you, cataloguing your features.
“You kept it,” you said with a small smile.
“I would’ve returned it sooner if you hadn’t left in such a haste after we—“
“Fucked in the woods?”
You were amused to find Theodore blushing. “I was going to say hooked up, but I suppose that’s another way to put it. Anyways, you left in such a hurry. You didn’t even give me your name.”
“Didn’t really think you wanted me to stay.”
“Are you kidding? I haven’t been about to think about anything else since that night. You’ve taken over my thoughts. It’s fucking maddening.” Theodore caressed your cheek and tilted your chin so he could look at you better. “My mystery girl. You’re more beautiful than anything I could’ve ever imagined.”
“Well, you have the real thing now. It’s your move, Jack.”
Theodore shook his head. “No, not Jack. Theo. That’s the name you’ll be screaming from now on. After I take you out on a proper date.”
You raised a brow. “What makes you think I’ll say yes?”
The devilish grin on his face sent shivers down your spine. “You’re really going to turn down the best lay of your life?” Your eyes widened, which made him smile even wider. “That’s right, sweetheart. You’re not the only one who can sneak up on people. So, what do you say?”
“Pick me up at eight. Don’t be late, Theo.”
Theodore winked. “It’s a date, Y/N.”

"You, Of Course"- Fred Weasley x Reader
word count:10,705
warnings: very slight angst, some fluff, maybe a little ooc Fred.
summary: Fred asks Angelina to the ball, and so you decide to say yes to the one person you know you shouldn't have said yes to.
Tumblr media
(gif not mine!)
You never knew that morning when you woke up that you would be asked to the Yule ball. You had no idea it would be a Ravenclaw to ask you either. Waking up that day you just expected another 24 hours of waiting helplessly to be asked by the one person you so desperately wanted to be asked by. His name was Fred Weasley, and he was one of your best friends, if not your best friend. You had met him and his brother George on the train at the beginning of your first year. Now here you were after having ever-so-clumsily fallen in love with Fred, hoping that maybe he’d fallen in love with you too. Perhaps he’d ask you to be his date to the Yule ball, and things would fall into place just as perfectly as you had imagined time and time again.
Now back to the Ravenclaw boy, his name was Alexander Gray. He was in the same year as you and just so happened to be a pretentious asshole.
You walked into the Great Hall that morning with no other intention than to eat breakfast and head on to your Herbology lesson. Not having slept well the night before you were not looking forward to the day. Though, you knew that the boys would likely try to keep you for as long as they could without making you too late for class.
You took your spot next to Fred and sighed heavily while gathering all of the things you needed for your usual breakfast. Fred and George had noticed you sit down and waited for your usual good morning, but it never came.
“Well, good morning to you too darling. Why so chipper?” Fred questioned teasingly. You turned to look at him and gave your best smile. “You, of course,” you teased back and he grinned broadly. “I thought so, I mean I am your only reason to smile,” he said and you nodded meekly. If only he knew how right he was. He was the reason you smiled so much, if it wasn’t for him you’d probably be the most miserable person ever. He noticed just how feeble you were being and a look of worry replaced his bright grin.
Before he could speak up, his brother did. “(y/n), are you alright? You don’t seem like your usual self, did something happen?” George asked. You quickly shook your head, “No, no everything is just fine, just didn’t sleep very well last night,” you tried to reassure them. They both looked at you with uncertainty. “Are you sure?” Fred asked and placed a hand on your shoulder. “Of course,” you nodded as firmly as you could with the best smile you could muster. Fred being the reason you didn’t sleep was something you decided to keep to yourself. You could tell that Fred didn’t believe you and neither did George but they left it for the time being.
You went through breakfast quickly and said your goodbyes.
“I’ll see you guys later ok, don’t miss me too much,” you smiled before giving George a kiss on the head as per usual, not doing the same with Fred. (you see he had stopped his usual affections a few weeks ago and you just thought he had gotten sick of you so you stopped) Turning to leave you felt someone grab your wrist softly, and you turned back around. “Hey, (y/n), have you got a date to the ball yet?” Fred asked, and your heart skipped a beat. Was this it? Was he finally going to ask you?
“No, actually I don’t, why?” you asked softly. At that moment your hopes were so high.
“Just thought I’d ask, and let you know that I’m going with Angelina, so when you get a date maybe we can all go together,” he said and immediately your heart fell. You could feel your smile falter for a few seconds before coming back up. You had to hide your feelings, you felt the need to bury them as far as you could. You took your hand from his grip and nodded your head. “Ok,” you spoke before walking away from the table.
If you had looked back you would’ve seen the concern and confusion cloud his eyes as you walked away from him.  “What did you do?” George asked as all of your friends watched you walk away. “I’m not sure,” he said with confusion written across his face. “I’ve never seen her walk away like that,” Ginny spoke up. “Should I go after her?” Fred questioned and Hermione stepped in this time. “No, I think we should give her some space, she doesn’t seem like she wants anyone around right now,”
“Yeah I guess you’re right, we’ll see her in Potions, I’m sure she’ll be ok Freddie,” George spoke to him and clapped a hand on his shoulder. Fred ignored that his brother called him Freddie despite you being the only one to call him that. He just glanced back over his shoulder and you were gone.
Tears blurred your vision as you tried to quicken your pace. Your heart broke, of course, he would ask Angelina, she was perfect, her skin, her hair, her personality, everything. She was everything that you weren’t and so much more. Well, at least that’s what you thought.
Despite the state you were in you could feel someone watching you. So immediately you wiped your eyes and looked up from where you were watching your feet. You caught the gaze of Alexander as he watched you walk by with a grin. Before you could get past him he stepped up next to you, “Good morning (y/n), would it be alright if I walked you to class?” he asked.  Nodding you gave him a  wary smile. “Sure,” you said warily and pushed a piece of hair behind your ear.
“You know, I know the ball is coming up soon, do you have anyone you’re going with?” He asked you. Your heart sunk even lower. “No, I don’t have anyone, no one’s asked me,” you sounded the slightest bit hurt and he could tell but obviously didn’t care. “Well, I wanted to know if you’d like to go with me?” he asked and your eyes widened. “What?” you asked softly as you looked at him. “Would you like to be my date to the Yule ball?” he asked once again. Your eyes fluttered as you looked at him in a fluster. “I um- Yeah, I’ll go with you, Alexander,” you smiled at him and he gently lifted your hand to place a kiss on the back of it just as you stopped next to your class.
“I hope to see you again soon pretty girl,” he smiled at you before opening the door for you to enter the classroom.  You blushed softly and thanked him before walking to your seat and watching the door close.
Having a class with Angelina and being her partner after what happened was a bit awkward but you knew you couldn’t let it show. You had always loved her, and she was one of your good friends, but at the moment you just couldn’t bring yourself to smile so genuinely at her. Did you blame her? No, absolutely not. You would’ve said yes too. It didn’t stop your heart from hurting though.
“Hey, (y/n/n), are you ok?” she asked as you walked out of class that day. Sending her a smile you nodded your head. “Yeah, I’m alright, just a bit tired that’s all,”  you told her the same excuse you had used that morning.  “You sure?” she questioned and placed a hand on your arm to get you to look at her. “I’m sure, I just had a long night. I’ll see you later ok?” you said and gave her arm a squeeze before waving at her as you walked away.
On the walk to your Potions class, you tried to calm yourself as best you could. You knew you were going to be sitting next to Fred, and so you needed to collect yourself. Taking slow steps in order to drag out your journey, you tried to take deep breaths. Before you could get there you noticed someone fall into step with you. Knowing those shoes anywhere you felt your heart stop for a moment. Of course, he had to find you before class started.
“Hello love, it’s been a while hasn’t it?” he asked and nudged your shoulder. Trying to get a positive reaction from you. “ Not too long,” you said and kept your eyes straight ahead, not wanting to face Fred right now. “But you missed me right?” he questioned again and you huffed out a laugh. “Sure did,” you said. “I missed you too, you know,” he told you and you couldn’t help but want to roll your eyes. “Did you really?” you asked and took a quick glance at him. “Of course, I did. The fact that you thought I wouldn’t, wounds me (y/n),” he said and placed a hand over his heart in mock offense.
When you didn’t respond his shoulders fell. “What’s wrong (y/n)? Have I done something?” he stopped you from walking and made you face him. You looked away from him again, “No, you haven’t done anything, Fred,” you told him. “Has someone else done something?” he questioned a little louder this time. “No one has done anything, I’m just tired that’s all ok. Let’s get to class before we get detention please,” you said, and for the second time that day, you walked away from him.  He sighed and watched you get further from him.
You didn’t want to feel the way you did, but you couldn’t help it. “C’mon Fred, we’ll be late,” you called back to him and heard his steps get closer. You could tell he was upset, “Sorry Freddie just not a very good day,” you said softly before squeezing his arm reassuringly. “S’ok just want to make sure you’re ok, I mean you’re my best friend,” he said and you sighed before nodding your head. “Right, you too Freddie,” you said as you opened the classroom door. He held it for you as you stepped inside and made your way to your shared desk.
You hardly noticed that George was already there, and almost everyone else was too. Luckily you had gotten there before the bell rang, so no points were taken off.
The class ended and you sighed heavily lucky enough to have gotten out with no new essays. You walked out of the class flanked by your favorite twins.  “I didn’t fall asleep this time,” George says almost astounded with himself. You chuckled, “I’m proud of you Georgie,” you said and looped your arm through his. You had your next class with him, but Fred’s fortunately for you was Herbology which you had already had that day.
“We’ll meet you in the Great Hall for lunch Fred, have fun in Herbology,” George spoke to his brother as he reluctantly walked in the opposite direction. Looking back and wondering why you could act so casual and affectionate with his brother but not him. He didn’t know what was happening but he had to figure it out soon or he would go crazy.
You leaned your head against George’s shoulder as you walked, and he looked down at you. “What happened this morning?” he asked and you sighed. “What did he say?” he asked again. “He told me that he was going to the ball with Angelina and that when I find a date we should all go together,” you let out a breath. He let go of your arm and wrapped his around your shoulders. “I’m sorry (y/n),” He said and tugged you closer to him. You knew that he knew you had feelings for Fred. “I would ask you but I’m going with Alicia…” he trailed off, he really did feel bad. “You don’t have to be sorry, someone’s already asked me. I said I’d go…” you told him and felt your shoulders sag just a bit. His eyes widened as he looked down at you. “Who asked you then?” he questioned in excited curiosity.
“Alexander Gray,” you answered him softly. He huffed out a laugh, “You have to be joking, you know how he is (y/n). I can’t believe you said yes to him,” he said in disbelief. It was common knowledge that Alexander was quite fond of leading girls on for a few months and then breaking their hearts. You just said yes because he was the first person to ask, and it was only true that you wanted to go to the ball. You wanted that experience, you wanted that experience with Fred, but that wasn’t an option anymore so you set your expectations a little lower. Meaning you said yes to a jerk in the middle of being in a vulnerable state.
“We all know no one else would ask me George, and I want to go to the ball and not alone. I want someone to dance with, and even just for a while enjoy the night despite it not being with who I wanted,” you told him. It was his turn to sigh.
“I know for a fact that there are so many people here who would’ve loved to go with you. You just don’t value yourself enough. You’re worth a lot more than you think,” he told you and squeezed you tightly in a side hug.
“Thanks, Georgie,” you said and leaned into him.
The class had flown by and soon enough you were seated in the Great Hall for lunch.
Sitting next to Fred and George as usual, you stayed pretty quiet throughout the meal. You worked on some homework so you wouldn’t have to that night.
“Well, (y/n) here has got herself a date for the ball haven’t you?” George asked as he looked over at you. Your eyes were wide and you swore you blacked out for a second. Fred looked at you with furrowed brows. “I thought you said you weren’t going with anyone this morning?” he asked. You shook your head lightly. “I-um- yeah actually someone asked me on the way to class this morning,” you replied. “Who was it?” Fred asked, he almost seemed a bit upset. “Um- it was- it was Alexander Gray. He walked me to class and asked me if I’d go with him so I said yes,” you told him and the whole table just stopped to look at you for a second. “This has to be a joke. You said yes, to Alexander Gray. why? Do you hate yourself or something, or are you just an idiot?” Fred questioned incredulously. You looked at him with hurt eyes.
He knew he had messed up when he saw the look you gave him. You got up from your spot and walked out of the Great Hall, your back turned to him for the third time that day.
“You idiot! What was that all about?” George hit his brother. “I didn’t mean to say that. It just came out,” he said hopelessly.“You complete moron,” Hermione slammed her book shut.  “Did you see how hurt she was?” Ginny asked. “Why would she say yes to him?” Fred asked everyone. “Did it not occur to you that maybe she just wanted someone to go with? I mean after what you said this morning I would say yes to someone who asked me right after as well. She didn’t want us to think that she’d have to go alone, it’s rather obvious,” Hermione stepped in again. “That doesn’t mean she has to say yes to him,” Fred spat out.
“You are absolutely insufferable,” she said and got up from her spot as well to go after you. Ginny joined her.
“You know, you should be the one going after her,” George told him and shook his head. “I don’t think she wants me around much today,” Fred said. “You really don’t realize that you’ve hurt her feelings at least twice now?” George spoke up. “What do you mean twice? What did I do in the first place?” Fred questioned in frustration. “I can’t tell you that, but you sure as hell know what you did the second time around,” George said not willing to out your secret. “What do you mean you can’t tell me?” he sounded even more frustrated. “You’ll figure it out eventually,” George said and went back to his food.
You walked away from him once more, and you never thought he would say something like that to you. He knew you better than anyone else and he had to have known that it was gonna hurt you. You had no clue why he would be this upset about it. Sure Alexander is a crappy person but you never thought he would insult you for it.
Tears leaked from your eyes as you continued your walk to the black lake. You hadn’t expected anyone to follow you and so you were surprised when Hermione and Ginny showed up beside you. You quickly tried to dry your tears, but it was too late they had already seen them.
“(y/n), are you ok?” Ginny asked. “Of course, she’s not ok your brother was a complete git,” Hermione spoke up. “No, no he wasn’t. I guess he was right, I am kind of an idiot aren’t I? I mean I said yes to the first boy who asked me because I couldn’t stand the fact that Fred was going with Angelina,” you let the words tumble from your mouth. They both looked at you with sympathy as you sat down in front of the lake. “I mean maybe I do hate myself, I never would have said yes if I didn’t think so lowly of myself that he was all I’d ever be asked by,” you spoke up again as you let your eyes wander to the water. “Don’t say that about yourself, we all know how much you’re worth. So does Fred despite what he said he knows how many people would kill to ask you to the ball,” Ginny said.
“It sure as hell doesn’t seem like I’m worth that much to him at all. I shouldn’t even care, but I do, I do care so much and it drives me crazy. He drives me crazy, in the best and worst ways and I don’t know what to do anymore. It’s clear he doesn’t want me, so it’s best if I just get over it, and just try not to think of him anymore,” you finished your rant and took a deep breath in and out. “You’ll be ok, you know? He’ll come to his senses and see just what he’s lost. Why don’t we return to the castle and get you cleaned up before afternoon classes?” Hermione said and brushed your hair behind your shoulder. You looked over at her and gave a weak smile. “Ok,” you said and you all three got up to head back to the castle.
It was almost funny to you that everyone seemed to know about your love for the ginger, everyone except for him.
The end of the day came quicker than you thought it would and soon enough you were situated by the fire in the common room. Hermione and Ginny were sitting around you and then came the rest of your friends. You noticed Fred coming your way and instantly began to internally panic. Hermione could feel you tense up and placed a comforting hand on your knee. “You’re ok,” she whispered for only you to hear. You slowly nodded your head and let out a sigh.
“(y/n), can I talk with you?” he asked and you looked at him for a second before feeling Hermione nudge you. “Um, yeah ok,” you said and got up from your spot to follow him to the corner tucked away from everyone else.
You sat down and so did he. “I’m not good with this kind of thing, but I know for a fact that I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to say any of that, I know you’re not an idiot, and I was wrong for what I said to you,” He told you and you wrung your hands. “It’s ok, I mean maybe I am an idiot for saying yes to him… I guess going alone would’ve been better, I just wanted that experience with someone,” you told him truthfully. He looked at you with furrowed brows. “You're not an idiot, I’m sorry I even said that. I just think you deserve better than him. He’s not good enough for you that I know for sure,” he said and reached out to grab your hands in his. “Thanks, Freddie,” you said and tried not to let your eyes tear up again. Knowing he did care made things so much worse. “Of course, it’s the truth. Now, I have one question for you if I may,” he said and you looked at him in confusion. “What is it?” you asked. “Save a dance for me?” he asked and your heart skipped a beat. “Yeah, of course,” you breathed out softly before giving him a weak smile.
He let go of your hands but before he walked away he looked down at you again. “Is there anything else bothering you love?” he questioned and you looked at him softly before shaking your head. “No, nothing at all Freddie. I am a bit tired though so I think I’ll just head on to bed now,” you said and got up from your spot. “You can tell me anything,” he reminded you as you stepped away from him. “I know. Goodnight Fred,” you told him and gave him a wave before bidding everyone else goodnight.
He sighed heavily as your footsteps receded up the stairs. Hopeful things would be better the next day, he went to sit with his friends. “Is everything ok?” George asked. “Yeah, I think everything is ok now. I apologized and we talked, I just hope she’s ok, she still seems a bit off. I’m worried,” Fred explained. “She’ll be ok, I mean sometimes you have to figure things out on your own,” Ginny said. “Yeah, I guess you’re right,” Fred sighed.
The next week seemed to fly by, and before you knew it it was the day before the ball. You had picked out the perfect dress and you were honestly excited.
Walking down to breakfast you had an actual smile on your face. You looked happier than you had been in a while. You stepped into the Great Hall and instantly found your friends with an open spot just by Fred and George as usual. Before you could get to your seat someone came up and took it. Your brows furrowed and your lips fell into a thin line, just as you were about to tell this person off you realized who it was. It was Angelina and your heart sank. You walked up to the table and greeted everyone before Hermione moved to give you a spot next to her. You smiled gratefully and took the seat. George smiled over at you sympathetically and you gave a small smile back.
You could tell he felt bad for you, and it hurt even worse because it seemed that Fred didn’t really care that she took your spot next to him. Though it wasn’t your assigned seat, and it wasn’t specially reserved for you, it was. It was your seat, it was where you always sat every meal of the day. You could see Hermione glaring daggers at Fred, and you placed a hand on her arm to get her to look at you. “It’s ok,” you spoke softly. “No it’s not,” she spoke through gritted teeth. “It has to be,” you said and she sighed. “He’s so oblivious it’s painful,” she told you and you almost chuckled. She looked over at you with an amused smile at the thought of almost making you laugh.
“So, (y/n), I heard you have a date. If you want we can all go together,” Angelina spoke up and you gave her a tight-lipped smile. “Sure,” you said and nodded your head despite wanting to say no. You wanted to tell her that you wouldn’t like to go together, that you’d rather be stuck with Alexander all by yourself than watch her and Fred be so close all night. Instead, you said “yes”, you said yes just for him, to put a smile on his face. You saw him do just that, he smiled at you and placed his arm around Angelina.
“I’m gonna go, I actually wanted to get to class a little early today I have to talk to the professor about something,” you spoke and got up to leave. “I’ll see you in class then?” Angelina asked and you nodded. “Yeah, I’ll see you in class,” you said and waved to everyone. “Wait up (y/n), I’ll walk you to class,” George said, and you smiled at him gratefully. “I’d like that, c’mon then Georgie,” You said and motioned for him to join you.
“George our lesson is in the opposite direction you won’t make it back in time,” Fred looked at him in confusion. “That’s ok,” George shrugged his shoulders and wrapped an arm around you. “Let’s get going then,” you said and began your walk to your herbology class.
“Do you reckon he fancies her?” Angelina asked and everyone kind of laughed. “No way, we’ve been best friends since first year,” Fred huffed out a laugh. “I don’t know, he seems really sweet on her sometimes,” Angelina tried again. “Does he?” Fred asked. “But I guess that’s because you’ve been friends for so long,” she shrugged and went back to her food.
Fred’s mind thought back to all the times that you and his brother were together. He was reminded of how affectionate you were with him and he was with you. Maybe he did like you, maybe he’s just been trying to hide it all these years. Then he thought about all the times you and him were like that. Every time you’d play with his hair and loop your arm through his as you walked together. All of the times you’d kiss his head before getting up to go to bed, and when you’d hug him for no other reason than you missed him.
The times when he would be the one to pull you closer, where he would let you sit between his legs with your back against his chest while you read. He would compare your hands to his because of how small they were against his. The thought of his brother doing anything remotely close to that with you was unnerving. He didn’t like it one bit, was he jealous? No, he couldn’t be, he didn’t like you like that. Or did he?
You sighed heavily and leaned into your friend. “Did she have to sit there? I mean, that’s my spot you know. Everyone knows that’s my spot,” you whined a bit and he chuckled. “She just sat down, we didn’t want to be rude,” George said. You rolled your eyes. “I know, I’m just getting sick of losing things to her. I mean she kind of stole the love of my life, and now she steals my seat next to him,” you threw your hands up in frustration.  He chuckled “It’s only temporary. They’re only together for one night, and then you can have your seat back too,” he said and you sighed again. “You think?” you asked and looked up at him with a slight pout. “Definitely,” he said and squeezed your shoulders. You leaned your head against his shoulder. “You know I love you right?” you asked him. “Of course, I do, who doesn’t love me?” he quipped and you nudged him in the side. “Alright, alright, I love you too,” he said and you smiled up at him and he kissed your forehead.
Little did you know that Angelina was making her way to the classroom and overheard, and saw you and George. Keep this in mind, Angelina knew you had a date to the ball, but she didn’t know who it was. She, of course, took it that you and George were together or at least liked each other. She smiled to herself and kept on walking, already too excited to prove herself right to Fred.
George opened the door for you and you walked in but not before giving him a hug. “Bye Georgie see you in Potions,” you said and waved. He was about to let go of the door before he saw Angelina coming his way so being ever the gentleman he held the door for her too. “Thanks, George,” she said and came over to sit next to you.
“Are you excited for the ball tomorrow?” she asked and you just nodded your head. “Yeah actually I am,” you said. “I’m glad we can go together,” she said and you gave her a weak smile. “I am too,” you lied.
The rest of the class went by smoothly and on to the next you went. Straight to the dungeons for Potions. Getting there you noticed that Fred and George were already there which was a weird sight but they did have a shorter walk than you so you shrugged it off.
You shot George a smile and went to sit with Fred. “Hello love,” he said and you gave a small smile back. “Hey, Freddie,” you said and got your book out to turn to the correct page.
“I’d bet you anything that we get an essay today,” Fred said and you chuckled, “We already know you’d win, so there’s no need for a silly bet,” you said. “That’s true, but we can always debate what it’s going to be about,” he said and you rolled your eyes. “Sure,” you agreed.
Before he could say anything Snape spoke up, and the lesson began.
Fred of course, did things throughout the class to try and make you laugh, and despite yourself, you did.
You walked out of class that day with surprisingly no essay and you chuckled. “Well I guess you would’ve lost that bet Fred, there was no essay today,” you shrugged as you continued down the corridors with the brothers. “Something is off about that,” George said and was about to toss an arm around your shoulder, but Fred noticed and did it before he could. George looked at him a little strangely but continued on.
“Bye Fred, see you after this lesson,” you said and before he walked away he placed a kiss on your head. You looked at him with surprise and tried to suppress the light blush on your cheeks. It was nothing new to you, but he hadn’t done something like that in weeks.
“You’re blushing,” George teased and you swatted his arm. “I am not!” you tried to deny it. He laughed. “You absolutely are,” he said and just wrapped his arm around your shoulders.
“Did he seem a bit strange to you?” you asked George as you looked up at him with confusion. “A bit, yeah,” he agreed. “He hasn’t bothered to be that affectionate in weeks. That was weird,” you said as your brows furrowed. “Don’t think on it too much. I know you always overthink,” he said and tapped your head. You sighed and nodded, “I know, I guess I just missed it,” you said. “Well, apparently he did too,” George said. You hoped he was right, you really did but you had your doubts.
Fred kept thinking back on the way you just seemed to melt into him when his arm was around you. He thought of the blush on your cheeks when he kissed you and couldn’t help but miss that feeling immediately. He didn’t truly understand what was happening but he could tell it was freaking him out. He had never realized just how much he thought about you and the little things that you do, or even the way you make him feel. He all of a sudden couldn’t wait to see you again.
His lesson seemed to stretch on and on until finally, it came to an end. He quickly gathered his things and practically raced out the door and to the Great Hall.  When he arrived he saw you sitting in the spot next to Hermione again and noticed that once again Angelina had taken up your spot next to him. He sighed but made his way over to the table.
“Hey Fred, how was herbology?” you asked. He smiled brightly at you, “Take a guess,” he said and you scrunched your nose and tilted your head to the side in thought. “Hmm, I’m gonna guess that it was just as boring as it always is to you,” you said with a smile. He felt his heart melt at your actions. He was so happy to see you acting as your normal self. Little did he know that he was the cause of it. His bringing back that affection you adored so much about him brought back some of your happiness. Despite Angelina being in your seat you just decided to keep George’s words in mind. This was only temporary, a one-night thing.
“You’re perfectly right love,” he said and you chuckled. “I knew it,” you spoke happily. Before anyone else could say anything Angelina spoke up.
“Fred, can I talk to you for a minute?” she asked and got up. “Um, yeah sure,” he said and followed her out of the Great Hall.
They exited through the doors and she pulled him aside.
“What’s this about?” he asked her. “I have proof,” she spoke confidently. “Proof of what exactly?” he asked her in confusion. “Proof, that George and (y/n) are together,” She stated simply. “What?” he questioned loudly. “Shh, lower your voice,” she said and grabbed his shoulders. “Where did you get that idea?” he asked this time quieter.
“I saw them on the way to class this morning and they both said I love you. He kissed her forehead and held the door for her. Her smile was as big as I’ve ever seen it, I swear,” she said and Fred’s brows raised. “There’s no way, they would’ve told me,” he said, sounding upset. “Maybe they haven’t told anyone yet,” she shrugged. “But they would’ve told me,” he said.
He had the thought in the back of his mind that it was all platonic of course, but then again he could be wrong. He felt his heart sink at the thought of you and George together, it didn’t seem right. You were a perfect pair, but not as a couple at least that’s what he thought. You both had dates for the ball but not with each other, maybe it was just because you were hiding it. No, he couldn’t shake the feeling that you and George weren’t right together. You were just friends, I mean you always told them that you loved them and they reciprocated of course. They were always affectionate, although he realized for weeks he hadn’t been as affectionate with you. He had been so busy caught up on pranks and going to the ball with Angelina that he didn’t make as much time for you. He didn’t realize it affected him until he pulled you close and kissed you goodbye. He didn’t realize how much he did miss you, the smell of your hair, and perfume. He missed how you would just lean into him, and fit so perfectly at his side.
He and Angelina walked back into the Great Hall and noticed that George was behind you with his arms around your shoulders and his chin resting atop your head. Angelina gave him a knowing look before walking back to the table to collect her things and sit with her other friends for a while.
“So what did you want to show me, Darling?” George asked and you chuckled at the name. “I just wanted to give you the notes that you didn’t take during History of Magic,” you said and he huffed. “Well, that’s boring,” he said and you chuckled again. “But you’ll appreciate it after hearing about the test we have next Friday,” you said and he let out a whine. “A test, really?” he questioned and you smiled. “Yes, George, a test, now copy these down and give them back before Friday please,” you said and handed them to him. He let you go and went to sit back down next to his brother. “Freddie, since you're learning the same thing you should copy those notes too,” you said and he just nodded.
He just hoped he was reading too much into it. “You ok Freddie?” you asked. “Just fine,” he answered and you looked at him skeptically. “We can talk later if you want to,” you said and tried to give him a reassuring smile. He thought about it for a moment, “Yeah ok,” he said and tried to give his best smile back.
The day seemed to fly by after that. You just had this worry in the back of your mind. This fear that maybe you had done something wrong, or maybe Angelina had upset him. Overall you just wanted him to be ok, and that’s what you were gonna make sure happened.
The evening feast had come to an end and so you all headed back to the common room, whether that was to read, hang out, or in your case have a talk with your friend.
As you made your way through the halls you fell into step with Fred. “May I?” you pointed at his arm. He just looked at you and gave a smile before nodding. You looped your arm through his and leaned against him a bit. “Angelina won’t mind will she?” you asked in honest wondering. “Of course not, she knows how close we are and it’s not like we’re dating,” he told you and you just nodded, “Alright, I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t crossing any lines,” you said. “In fact, come here,” he said and pulled you to a halt so he could wrap his arms around you in a hug. You smiled brightly and let out a happy sigh at the feeling of him so close again. You leaned against his chest and held on as tightly as you could.
“I’ve missed you, Freddie,” you admitted softly. He heard your words and his heart melted. “I’ve missed you too love,” he said and held you tighter. “I’m sorry for being the way I was these past few weeks. I’ve been separate from you and your feelings,” He told you and you looked up at him in surprise. “You don’t have to be sorry, I’ve been in a really bad mood for a while and haven’t been the easiest to be around, so I’m sorry,” you told him and pulled away a bit.
“I guess we both haven’t been the best friends have we?” he asked and you chuckled softly. “I guess you’re right, now before it gets even colder, let’s go talk in the common room ok?” you asked and he nodded. “C’mon then,” he said and held his arm out to you once again. You took it as you walked through the portrait hole.
You did as you used to do, and snuck him up to your dormitory. You sat down on your bed and luckily no one else was there. “Alright, now what did you want to talk about?” you asked him as you patted the spot next to you. “It’s about something that Angelina said to me today,” he spoke up and you nodded telling him it was ok to continue. “She told me that you and George were together,” he got out. Your face scrunched into one of utter confusion. “Where in the world did she get that absurd idea?” you questioned in astonishment.
“She said she saw you and George on the way to class this morning, he kissed your head and you both said I love you. She assumed you were together,” he told you and you scoffed and shook your head. “You don’t honestly believe her do you?” you asked him.
“I don’t know, you guys can be pretty affectionate sometimes,” he kind of trailed off. “What? I’m affectionate with you too, and I’d say even more so than with George,” you spoke in a huff. He looked at you and tried to hide a grin, “That’s true isn’t it?” he asked and you immediately nodded. “I’ve been asked by both of our mums if we were together, and have had to assure them every time that we were just friends.” You told him with a laugh. “Mum’s asked me as well,” He said and you chuckled. “So, just to clarify, your brother and I are not together,” you told him and he nodded. “Right, good, that eased my conscious,” he said and you smiled. He felt a weight lift off of him and he could breathe again. He had no idea why it weighed on him so harshly, but he knew that you were doing something to him. Something he never noticed before.
You walked down the stairs with Fred behind you. You tried not to laugh as he nudged you forward. When you got to the bottom step you both split up. You went straight to George and he went to Angelina.
“I guess you’ll have to break the news to poor George that you aren’t together,” he said and you laughed. “Sure, and you’ll have to break the news to Angelina that she was sorely mistaken,” you joked back. “Together?” he asked and you chuckled but nodded. “Together,”
He walked up to her and smiled, “You might want to watch this,” he said with a smile and pointed over to where you stood in front of George.
“What do you mean?” she asked. “Just watch,” he said and they went silent.
“George, I know this may hurt, but I need to tell you something,” you spoke loud enough for most people to hear. He looked at you with worry in his eyes. “What’s wrong (y/n)?” he asked and stood up. “I hope you know that I love you, I really do,” you said and made tears come to your eyes as your bottom lip wobbled. He reached out to grab your hands and pull you away from everyone. “What’s going on?” he asked and moved a piece of hair from your face. “I’m sorry but we aren’t together, we never have been, and I’m sorry to break it to you this way, but I just needed you to know the truth,” You told him with a shaky sigh.
He looked at you with utter confusion, “What do you mean (y/n)? I know we’ve never been together, where is any of this coming from?” he asked and shook his head. “I just wanted you to know that I’ll always love you but just as a friend alright?” you asked and took his face in your hands. He held your wrists, “Ok, well I love you too just as a friend,” he said and you quickly pulled him into a hug. He hugged you back just as tightly. “What’s going on?” he whispered. “Angelina thought we were together, so I thought I'd give a bit of a show,” you whispered back and he chuckled. “Of course, you did,” he said and smiled down at you. “So, friends?” you asked. “Friends,” he said and kissed your head just like he had done earlier.
Angelina looked at Fred with wide eyes, “Are you kidding me?” she asked and Fred let out a laugh. “This is how you tell me I’m wrong?” she questioned in slight annoyance. “We had to tell you somehow,” you walked over to them. “You could have just told me,” she said. “What’s the fun in that?” you asked and she rolled her eyes. “You guys are the worst I swear,” she said and you chuckled. “Right, but you’re still my date though?” he asked her. And your heart hurt a bit. “I am still your date,” she assured him and he smiled. “By the way (y/n), who’s your date if you’re not going with George?” she asked you curiously. You sighed heavily. “Alexander Gray,” you spoke softly but she caught it. Her eyes widened, “What? Why?” she questioned. “He asked me so I said yes,” you told her. ‘You could’ve said no,” she told you. “I know, but I didn’t, and I just have to live with that now,” you said and sighed before walking away. “Is she ok?” Angelina asked Fred. “I think she’s just upset about it,” he told her and said goodbye before following in your footsteps.
“(y/n), are you ok?” he asked when he reached you. “Yeah, I’m ok, just a bit embarrassed is all,” you said and shrugged. “Don’t be, we’ve all made mistakes before, just maybe none as bad as this,” he joked and you sighed before swatting his arm. ‘Ok, Ok, I’m sorry,” he said, and you ended up chuckling. “I just hope he doesn’t try anything,” you said. “Don’t worry he won’t and if he does I’ll be there ok,” he told you and you smiled at him. “Thanks, Freddie,” you expressed your gratitude for your friend.
“I think I’m going to head to bed, love you, Fred,” you said and kissed his head as you stood up to leave. “Love you too (y/n),” he replied. You told everyone goodnight and ascended the stairs.
“So you seem to be on good terms with her again,” George said as he walked over to sit with his brother. “Yeah, everything is good,” he said with a content smile. “You look a little too happy right now. Did something happen?” George questioned him. “She said she loves me,” Fred told his brother. “Doesn’t she always say that?” his brother asked him. “Yeah, but it felt a little different this time,” he said with a smile. George smiled knowingly at his brother. Maybe he was starting to realize just how much you meant to him, and how much he meant to you.
The next day came quickly and with it came nerves you never thought you’d have. You didn’t ever imagine yourself being nervous about going to a ball with Alexander Gray because you never imagined going to a ball with him.  You saw him and his most recent girl and would cringe. Now you are that most recent girl and still you cringed.
You had started to get ready with your friends, and things were going ok. That is until you saw Angelina. She looked even more beautiful than she normally did. Her hair was up and her dress fit perfectly. She was a vision. You knew that there was no way that Fred wouldn’t fall for her now if he hadn’t already. You looked at her and sighed before looking at yourself and sighing again. Hermione noticed that and walked over to you.
“You look beautiful too, did you know that?” she asked and you smiled softly at her. “Thanks, Hermione, you do too,” you said. “Why don’t we finish your makeup and get down there?” she asked and you nodded your head. “Alright, I can do that,” you said and turned back to the mirror. Hermione stayed seated next to you making small talk as you finished the last details of your makeup.
You got done and turned to look at your friend. “Any fixes?” you asked her and she turned your face to the light. “No, it’s perfect,” she told you and smiled. “I’m ready if you are,” you told her and she smiled. You took one last glance in the mirror and tried to put on the best smile you could muster.
You walked down the stairs in your beautiful baby blue dress. Closely resembling a ball gown, layers of tulle, and perfectly fitted at the waist. The sleeves hung perfectly off of your shoulders, and your hair lay just right over them. Fred turned to the stairs just as you stepped off the last one. His eyes went wide, and he swore the world stopped spinning.
The second Fred stopped talking everyone looked at him and followed his stare.
There you were, to him the most beautiful girl in the castle. It seemed like for a moment they might all say the same.
You felt everyone’s eyes on you and you looked up. Noticing Fred looking at you like you were the only one in the room felt like a dream, you didn’t expect that, honestly, you didn’t expect anyone to look at you like they were. Angelina spoke first.
“(y/n), you look beautiful,” she said and walked over to give you a hug. You blushed softly and smiled. “So do you, and you Alicia you look lovely as well,” you said and smiled over at her.
You walked over to join them all and George quickly wrapped an arm around you and smiled down at you. “Lovely as ever (y/n),” he said and you smiled at him. “Dashing Georgie,” you said and reached up to pinch his cheek teasingly. He swatted your hand away and chuckled. You looked over at Fred and he had a bright smile on his face. “You look beautiful, love,” he said and walked over to you to give you a spin. You chuckled as you twirled around once. Angelina looked at the scene in front of her, and suddenly a knowingness came over her. She could see the look on your faces, you weren’t just friends and you could never be just friends. She knew that now. She smiled at the scene in front of her and let it play out. George smiled too, he knew that if something didn’t happen that night, in due time it would.
Fred smiled at the blush on your cheeks and couldn’t help but feel his heart skip a beat at the sight of you smiling so fondly back at him.
“Should we all get going then?” Alicia asked and you finally broke your gaze from his. “Um, yeah of course, Alexander should be waiting for me by now,” you said and your smile faltered a bit at the thought.
“You’ll be fine, trust me,” Fred spoke to you and gave you a soft nudge forward. You nodded and made your way out of the common room with everyone.
You stood at the top of the stairs and looked at everyone just waiting to see Alexander waiting for you. But he was nowhere to be seen. Everyone stood there and waited for a while with you but eventually, you just told them to go in and that you would wait for a little while longer. Fred gave you an unsure glance but you just nodded at him telling him that it was ok. He squeezed your hand before he left, and George tossed you an encouraging smile.
You stood there waiting for you don’t know how long. You had heard the songs change and by the third song, you knew he wasn’t coming. You could feel tears form in your eyes as you sat on the step. Too embarrassed to enter alone, you didn’t even want to know where he may be. He’s probably in there with another girl, or he just decided that he didn’t want to go with you anymore.
Fred was anxiously waiting to see you walk in but he never did. It had been about 30 minutes and there was no sign of you, it’s like you were just gone. “Is she still not here?” George asked him. “No, she’s not, why is she not here?” he questioned his brother. “I don’t know mate-” Before he could finish Angelina spoke up. “Why don’t you check on her?” she told Fred. Fred looked down at her in uncertainty. “Are you sure?” he asked the girl. “I’m very sure, I think she may need you more than I do right now,” Angelina said and gave him a little shove toward the door.
“I’ll see you guys later,” he said and made his way out to find you.
As he exited the Great Hall he noticed Alexander with another girl. As much as he wanted to punch him, he could do that later. He needed to find you and find you fast.
He came to the stairs expecting to see you but you were gone. You had disappeared from the area and so he ran up the steps in search of you. He didn’t even know when you left, and he was upset that you didn’t come to him.
“(y/n)!” he called for you but got no answer. He ran down the hallways and up the stairs as fast as he could. He didn’t think you would’ve made it to the common room yet but he again didn’t know when you left. He finally got to the portrait and quickly spoke the password. He immediately stopped inside and heard muffled crying. His heart dropped at the sound knowing that it had to be you.
He scanned the room and noticed you sitting by the fire with your head in your hands. His heart just kept breaking at the thought of you being hurt. He slowly made his way over to you.
“(y/n),” he quietly called and your cries suddenly stopped. He noticed you trying to wipe your tears away as best as possible. “Oh, hi Freddie. What are you doing back so early?” you asked as you turned to smile at him. He could feel his chest get tight, seeing the mascara smudged around your eyes he gave you a sad smile before sitting next to you.
“You never came in,” he said softly and reached over to take your hand in his.
“Oh, yeah he uh- he didn’t show up, so I just thought it best that I came back,” you told him and he could tell you were trying not to cry again. Your bottom lip was wobbling and your eyes were glassy. “You could’ve come to me,” he said and placed his hand on your cheek. At his touch, your tears finally fell and you let out a shaky breath. “I didn’t want- I didn’t want to ruin your night,” you told him as your voice broke. “Oh, love, you wouldn’t have ruined my night,” He said and proceeded to wipe your tears as best as he could. “I was embarrassed, I didn’t want to humiliate myself so I just left,” you admitted to him and he sighed. “Me and Georgie wouldn’t have let you feel that way for long you know that,” he told you and you sadly nodded. “I know it’s silly to cry over someone like him, I just thought that maybe I’d get to have a nice night with someone,” you spoke softly and looked down at your hands. Tears clung to your lashes and spattered onto your cheeks and hands.
“I guess I just wanted that experience,” you said quietly. “You can still have it,” he told you and you looked back up at him in confusion. “What do you mean?” you asked him. “Come to the ball with me,” he said and you looked at him in surprise. “I can’t, I’m a mess, and what about Angelina?” you fretted. “You’re beautiful, and Angelina was the one who told me to leave,” he explained to you. The look of surprise never left your face. “Even so, I can’t go back down there Freddie, not like this,” you told him. He got to his feet “Then stay here and dance with me,” he said and offered you his hand. “Are you sure you’d rather stay here with me?” you questioned him. “I’d rather be anywhere with you,” he told you and you blushed before taking his hand. He smiled at you, and helped you carefully off of the floor, making sure not to step on your dress.
You stood fully and he placed his hands on your waist. You smiled softly up at him and shyly wound your arms around his neck. He smiled down at you and slowly began moving along to a song that only you could hear. “Did you know that I think you’re the most beautiful girl in this castle?” he asked you and you blushed even deeper. You shook your head and chuckled, “That’s not true, did you see Angelina and Alicia tonight, Hermione too? Now they’re beautiful,” you said. “Sure, they’re pretty but you, you’re beautiful,” he told you and lifted his hand to move a strand of hair from your face.
“You’re just saying that 'cause you’re my best friend,” you tried to shrug it off. “I’m saying that because it’s true,” he affirmed. You shook your head with a shy smile. “Really?” you questioned. “Really,” he told you with a smile. He let you go to take hold of your hand. You let out an airy giggle as he twirled you a few times before pulling you back in.
“You know, there’s something that just hit me all of a sudden yesterday. I had never realized how much I thought of you, how much I missed you when you weren’t around, and how much I really do love you,” he admitted. You felt your heart stop, and your breath got caught in your throat. “I love you (y/n),” he admitted to you and a feeling of disbelief washed over you. “You love me? You actually love me?” you questioned. He chuckled a bit at your reaction. “I do,” he said.
“I’ve loved you for as long as I can remember,” you confessed. He smiled broadly at you, “I guess I’m a little late to the party then,” he said and you chuckled. “Just a little, I mean your twin knew before you did,” you teased him and he rolled his eyes. “Alright, alright, no need to rub it in,” he said and you smiled at him.
You just stopped and looked at him, really looked at him. His freckles and bright brown eyes, the curve of his lips, and the way he looked so lovingly at you. “I think this is the part where we kiss isn’t it?” he asked softly and you smiled even brighter. “I would think so,” you whispered as he got closer to you.
He stopped for a moment just letting his lips brush yours before fully placing them on yours. You melted at the feeling of his lips pressed against yours, it was even better than you imagined it would be. It wasn’t rushed, it was slow and soft, and it was all the things a first kiss should be.
He gently pulled away from you and smiled at the contentedness on your face. You looked peaceful, and he felt warm at the fact that he could bring that to you. He swore he had never felt that loved in his entire life. “Do you wanna know something?” you asked with a soft smile. “Of course,” he said and wrapped his arms around your waist. “You make me really happy,” you whispered and he smiled broadly. “I would hope so,” he said and you chuckled.
He saw your smile falter a bit, “What’s wrong?” he questioned and placed a hand on your cheek. “What about Angelina? I feel so horrible,” you worried yourself. “Hey, hey, you don’t have to worry about that. It’s not like we’re dating you know. It was just a one-night thing, and I think she’d perfectly understand our situation love,” He told you and stroked your cheek gently. “You think so?” you asked and reached up to grasp his wrist. “I know for sure,” he said.
He got a sudden realization, “wait is that what I did wrong?” he asked and you looked at him in confusion. “What?” you asked. “George said I had hurt your feelings twice, did me asking Angelina hurt your feelings?” he asked with a sly smile. A blush covered your cheeks and you quickly covered your face with your hands. He chuckled, “Aw, love, I’m sorry. If I had realized sooner I would’ve asked you,” he said and gently pried your hands from your face. “Do you forgive me?” he asked and pressed his forehead against yours. “There’s really nothing to forgive, but yes if that makes you feel better,” you smiled shyly at him. “Much better,” he said before leaning forward to kiss you one more time.
“Ugh, took you long enough,” you heard a voice sound from behind you and you pulled away from him. George, Alicia, and Angelina stood there with knowing smiles. “Took you forever to figure it out didn’t it?” Angelina asked while she and Alicia chuckled. “You didn’t figure it out until a few hours ago Ange,” Alicia said and everyone chuckled. “Took you longer than me,” Fred said as he wrapped his arm around your shoulder. “Ok, when did this become an attack on me?” Angelina asked and you chuckled. “It’s ok Angelina, I’m sorry if I ruined your night,” you said regretfully. “You didn't ruin anything, I’m just glad that you’re ok,” she said and smiled at you, and you smiled back. “I think we’re all going to turn in for the night, goodnight everyone,” Alicia said and gave a smile and a wave before walking up the stairs followed closely by Angelina. You walked over to George and wrapped him in a hug, “Thanks for caring so much Georgie,” you said and he held you tighter. “I’ll always care,” he said and kissed your head before saying goodnight to you and his brother.
He came up behind you and wrapped his arms around you. “Do we have to say goodnight?” he asked and nuzzled his nose against your neck. His cheek was warm against your bare shoulder and it made you grin, you almost felt dizzy from disbelief that this was actually happening. “We don’t have to, but I’d rather not stay in this dress all night,” you told him and felt him smile against your shoulder. “You can take it off if you want to, do you need any help?” he asked and you chuckled before swatting his arm. “No, I don’t need any help, but a kiss before I go should speed up the process,” you told him and he turned you around to face him. You smiled toothily and it made him grin. “I’ll meet you back here in ten,” he said and leaned down to kiss you again before letting you go.
You spent the rest of the night with Fred, sharing kisses and laughing. He danced with you and you got dizzy from how much he’d spin you.
The morning came and you made your way down to the Great Hall with Hermione and Ginny. “I’m so happy for you (y/n), it took him ages but he finally sorted it out,” Hermione said and you chuckled. “You’re practically my sister now,” Ginny said, looping her arm through yours. You smiled down at her and squeezed her arm happily.
You entered the Great Hall to see your spot open just as it should be, right next to Fred. You all walked over and took your spots. “Good morning everyone,” you smiled happily.
“Well, good morning to you too darling. Why so chipper?” He asked and turned to you, tucking a stray strand of hair behind your ear. “You, of course,” you told him and he smiled even brighter. He wrapped his arm around your shoulder and kissed your head. “I love you (y/n),” he told you and you smiled up at him. “I love you too, Freddie,”

you walked happily though the halls , narrowly missing a prank set up by the weasley twins as their failed trick of a water bucket soaked them and left you completely dry. how lucky!
"i swear there is something wrong with that girl like she has some kind of force feild!" george sighed in frustration , their 3rd prank of the week failing to actually get you.
"God has favourites georgie, he has favourites ," fred patted georges back as they both sulked away to dry their now drenched clothes.
of course you were olbivous to the whole thing! your stroll down the hallway continued , the sun hitting your face in just the right way as you reached the great hall , practically skipping to the slytherin table.
"hi guys!" you exclaimed excited as you sat down at just the right time to ignore the apple that had just come flying at your head.
hearing the apple crash to the ground you turned again , confused seeing the apple roll around on the ground.
"shit , sorry y/n i was aiming for harry but he dodged!" ron shouted apologetically across the room.
"dont worry r-" you started until you were interuppted by your best friend theo besides you, who held a cold glare at ron.
"do that again and it wont be an apple flying at your head weasley!" theodore shouted at him as ron awkwardly looked away.
"dont theo , it was an accident," you said putting a hand on his arm as he immediatly softened.
"youre too kind y/n you shouldve been in hufflepuff," pansy said with a sigh.
"green suits me more," you smiled at pansy as she giggled ,"besides i can be quite mean when i want to be."
"youre not wrong about that , you nearly broke my ribs with that bludger in quidditch!" draco complained , still not letting go of a quidditch incident from 2nd year.
"draco i really wish you would get over that , it was my first match i was nervous and thought you were on the other team," you sighed starting to eat your food.
draco grumbled in response until the whole table turned around to look at something behind you, in confusion you turned too and saw a ravenclaw boy in your year.
"hi y/n i was just wondering if maybe you would-" the boy , named david, started to speak until catching his eye on something besides you. waiting for him to carry on he instead shuddered with fear and backed away instantly , practically running back to the ravenclaw table.
"david!" you tried to call after him , but instead he walked faster , sitting himself down and avoiding eye contact at all costs.
"the fuck? what...what did i do?" you asked your friends frantically , knowing that he intended to ask you out before he suddenly stopped.
"you didnt do anything sweet y/n ," matheo started before shifting his eyes to theodore next to you, "maybe a greater force got in the way?"
confused by his choice of words you looked back at david , a look he didnt return. in frustration you held your head in your hands and groaned , "im so unlucky!"
"i wouldnt say that," blaise scoffed as the whole friendgroup nodded , knowing luck was not your lack.
"no i mean unlucky in love! david was clearly going to ask me out but just like the gryffindor from last week he couldnt even finish his scentence and ran!" you sighed , venting your anger to your friends.
"yeah well you can do much better," theodore remarked in a cold tone , his eyes still peircing where a shaking david sat. as you watched theodore stare and david cower , everything seemed to click into place.
"theodore!" you snapped at him , making him finally turn and look at you , "yknow sometimes i think that you drive them away!"
"you think!" lorenzo scoffed as pansy smacked him on the arm , quickly shutting him up.
"i havent done anything, its not my fault he ran off , what could i have done?!" theodore argued back as the rest of your friend group watched him in disbelief , knowing he drove david , the guy from gryffindor and every guy ever, away.
you scoffed ,"oh really so you didnt death stare him? he clearly looked at you before running!"
"wow i didnt know you would get so touchy about david the ravenclaw!" he said in a mocking tone as you both seethed with anger.
"read the room theodore for fucks sake! maybe i do want to go on a date , maybe i wouldve said yes! i didnt notice at first , how every guy just bolted as soon as he looked at some mysterious thing next to me , now i realise it was you probably doing a cut throat gesture!" , you ranted at theodore as draco tried to hold in his laugh.
"maybe he had an epiphany about you or something!" theodore tried to argue back , all of you knowing he couldnt really deny anything you said , it was all true.
"what- you think its me driving them away? stay out of my love life theo its none of your fucking business!" you harshly shouted your final remark before getting up from the table and stomping out of the great hall.
"there goes that mean streak i was just talking about," draco mutters , shaking his head and continuing to eat his food.
the table sat in silence for a few second before mattheo spoke up again, "you kinda deserved that."
"fuck off!" theodore snapped as he jumped up and strode after you , and out the great hall.
----
walking into your dormroom you threw your robe off of you and loosened your tie , trying to lose some of the heat from your argument.
pacing the room your thoughts were interrupted as the door burst open , theodore walking in and standing in front of you , keeping a fair distance as you stared back at him.
"what do you want now theo!! do you want to control my friendships? maybe throw a glare and a threat at enzo and draco and maybe they'll stop talking to me aswell!" you shouted at him loudly now, as venom dripped from your words.
he stepped towards you quickly , as you tried to back away- he grabbed the sides of your face delicatly.
"i want you," he said , his voice just above a whisper as your heart burst into flames , the heat dispersing itself across your cheeks.
"d-.. theo dont say thing you dont- that you know you dont mean," you said avoiding his gaze , shaking your head as your voice had dropped to an insecure mumble.
"y/n i have only ever wanted you , i glare and i threaten and i hate the boys that ask you out because i want you. i need you." he said softly , pulling your face closer to his , forcing you to hold eye contact.
"theo i-" you started as he cut you off quickly.
"please if youre going to reject me just know....know that ill tell david to ask you out , ill never do anything to intercept love for you again. i promise , just please... let me down easy.." he spoke quietly , insecurity and sadness seeping though his words.
this time it was you that softly garbbed his face and lifted his eyes to meet yours , "theo...maybe i didnt realise it until now but...i have always liked you."
his sadness faded as he looked at you with shock , his silence allowing you to continue in a lighthearted way, "maybe ive glared at a few girls too , unknowingly of course!"
you both laughed at this as he looked at you like you painted the stars into the pitch black sky , "im sorry for pushing those guys away...well not really but more like im sorry that you got sad about it"
you laughed again before allowing yourself to get lost in his eyes , the green like that of a four leaf clover- rare yet so beautiful , "maybe im not so unlucky in love afterall , it was right there in front of me the whole time."
he smiled at you with adoration before pulling you into a sweet , loving kiss. fortune was on your side today , as it brought you your luckiest pull yet , theodore nott.
