Just a little reminder, the media, the artist, that you consume is not your entire life, you don't have to consume everything that they put out to be a real fan, you don't have to buy everything or anything at all to be a real fan (i remember being in my early teens and i felt really bad 'cause i didn't have the money to buy the merchandise of my favorite artists let alone go out to see them live, now that I'm older i understand that just because i don't have the money to do everything that i want it's doesn't make me a bad fan or anything like that.).

You don't have to waste all your time with streaming and stuff like that, to be considered a real fan, you don't have to know everything about them (their favorite color, food, movie, etc;) it's okay to just enjoy the things that you like.

it's okay to focus on yourself, don't get stuck in a rabbit hole, focus on your friends, family, career, studies, focus on your mental health, it's okay to let go of your favorite kpop group or whatever if you feel like you need to, you know, even if your favorite artist brings joy to your life, they can't be your only source of happiness, you have a life ahead of you, your favorite artist will not live your life for you, don't end the good concrete things in your life because of a parasocial relationship.

This bar chart race leaves out the super broad tags like [Genre] RPF and [Country]-pop RPF. You can see this category unflitered in this post.

To make these bar chart race, all series titles in the Music & Bands on November 29 (or the closest date to it) of every year were copy-pasted from Wayback Machine to Google Sheets, rearranged according to number of fanworks, manually filtered to exclude broad tags, and then inputted to Flourish to turn into a bar chart race.

Locked fanworks aren't included in the count because Wayback Machine can’t view those, only Ao3 users can.

Fandom tags that are no longer in the Music & Bands category tag as of posting this are left out of the bar chart race. These tags are usually either miscategorized or already have other tags referring to the same fandom.

Johnny's Entertainment has been left out in this version, since it's the tag for an agency and has many idol groups in its subtags (such as Arashi and KAT-TUN). You can see it rank in the unflitered version.

After much deliberation, 声入人心 | Super-Vocal (TV), a multicategory tags that ranked 6th place in 2020 and 7th place in 2019, 2021 & 2022, has been left out in this bar chart. It's a singing competition, and since American Idol RPF was removed from the Music & Bands category way back in 2013 and could only be found in Celebrities & Real People and TV Shows categories instead, I thought it would be fair in this case to do the same for this fandom tag. It ranks high enough in the Celebrities & Real People category anyway so you'll see it there (when I eventually make a bar chart race for it).

I'll be transferring some of my stories to both sites and kind of creating a book of short stories for each group I've written about, and for my longer collabs with my dear Maya (i miss you bitch idk if you're even still on here :,/) I'll put them in separate "books" of their own so they're kind of like micro novellas.

I also have another book in the works that is a Mafia AU! so be on the look out for that one as well!

And before I go, one of the stories I plan on reworking heavily and really fleshing out to make something super cool is Playing With Fire, my Demon! Wonho fic. It's one I go back to and always fall back into love with. I also have plans to continue 3 years on both sites too, just possibly reworking a bit.

I'd like to think that my long-winded hiatus is finally over <3 ~

Golden Boy - Chapter 15: The Mirror

This morning was easier than the day before, Jungkook realized as he pulled himself out of bed. Once again, there was the smell of breakfast food filling the air around him as he pulled a pair of jeans and a clean shirt from his backpack. It was the last clean set of clothes he had. Yugyeom had told him they’d only be gone for a few days, so he hadn’t packed much.

He figured that it was probably a sign that it was about time to go home. Maybe he should head back to the city tomorrow. He still didn’t feel ready. He didn’t want to have to confront the things that had been left unfinished in Seoul.

Jungkook wasn’t oblivious to the fact that he was the gray cloud that hung over everyone and everything in the pack’s house. He had noticed how conversations became hushed when he walked into the room and when Yugyeom was clearly changing the subject to something less sensitive for him.

But it was time to get over it. Life sucked and was completely unfair sometimes. That was a lesson he learned time and time again. There was nothing to be done about the terrible cards fate had decided to deal him.
