It’s time for music headcanons with the batfam, bc if I don’t get this out of my head and onto page, I’m going to implode.

Fave first, Dick is definitely a indie pop/indie rock kinda boy. Not just because I identify with that, but also bc he gives me those overly energetic, bubbly vibes, that I feel like only come from Grouplove, Vampire Weekend, and Adam Melchor. I also feel like he’s a Mitski and Boygenius kinda bitch, bc ough, boY, he has angst. Said angst can only be expressed through sad girl music, bc he will die before he ever expresses his feelings about anything to anyone.

NEXT we have Jason, I think he’s an emo ass boy, ngl, but specifically like folk punk. He listened to twin sized mattress one time, broke down crying, and hasn’t looked back. Also things like The Mountain Goats, PUP, or Modern Baseball. Ugh, I could make a whole ass playlist for this boy. If he’s with other ppl, I think he’d play something more mainstream of the emo genres, like Arctic Monkeys or The Strokes.

DAMIAN, I THINK, IS COMPLICATED. So, for one thing, he grew up in a weirdo environment, where they probably never listened to music, and if they did, it was “”tasteful”” music, for rich ppl. That, or it was culturally significant. So, I think I’m his exposure to music after moving in with Bruce, he started just absorbing absolutely all the music he could. Like, he’s an everything enjoyer. His spotify liked songs are a minefield, bc one second it’ll be playing Chet Baker, next it’s Viagra Boys, then some country shit, then Chopin, and then it’s Lil Nas X.

BABS, I think, would be a folk music/sad girl music enthusiast. She really likes Ryan Adams, Phoebe Bridgers, Hoizer, Mitski, etc. It’s something that she and Dick bonded over when they first started dating. I think with her, she appreciates the calm/slightly sad music bc she lives in a rlly crazy world, and she just wants to meditate a little when she’s sitting at that desk all day, trying to keep her family and friends alive.

Timmyyyyyy is a Kpop enjoyer. Sorry, I don’t make the rules. Specifically, he probably likes SEVENTEEN or ATEEZ a lot. He actively tries, every day of his life, to not stan any of the members, but it’s rlly hard when he’s had two hours of sleep in the past week, and Yoon was just really cute in that last interview. I also think he’s really into trap and pop. He knows all the lyrics to every recent song on the top 100 list.

Duke, I think is really into R&B. I think he’s amenable to pop/rock/rap, etc., but he really just wants something to belt out. Common occurrences are finding him in the kitchen, making an omelette, singing Amy Winehouse at the top of his lungs. If u catch him doing it tho, he gets rlly shy. His guilty pleasure is theatre music. He has to bribe his family to go see Little Shop of Horrors with him.

Stephanie has a 2000s-2010s pop addiction. Anything that makes her feel like Hannah Montana is her SHIT. She’s out here blasting Bubblegum Bitch and early Taylor Swift. You also can and will find her crying to sad One Direction songs. When she’s moody, she will unironically play My Chemical Romance. She understands pop punk a lil bit, but the lyrics tend to get male-manipulator-y, so she sticks with the bands she already knows.

Alfred likes 50s/60s jazz/pop. Frank Sinatra, Chet Baker, etc. It reminds him of home, and of his family. He also really likes old French music, like Joe Dassin. I’m ngl, I don’t know old music enough to add more to this one, but u get the idea 😭

BRUCE. Ugh. He’s definitely the kind of dad who never moved past the music of his childhood. He firmly believes that the Beatles is the best band of all time, and no one can convince him otherwise. I think he tends to gravitate towards the rock/goth end of 70s/80s music, so things like the Cure, New Order, maybe a lil bit of Siouxsie and the Banshees. His goth phase was INTENSE, Alfred can attest to this.

Edit: HOLY SHIT I CANT BELIEVE I FORGOT CASS 😭😭😭

Ok, Cass is defo a similar situation to Damian, grew up with literally silence, so music is a super new thing to her. But I think she really enjoys all kinds of genres. I think that especially instrumentals get her, bc it’s just noises that she can focus on, no lyrics to distract her from the sound. I think she also likes to “sing” along to said instrumentals, but mostly it’s just making noises to the same beat and sound, but it’s very off-key.

AHAHAH I have been trying to write since I got off of work at 10 and holy fuckballs my ADD tonight has been OFF THE CHARTS. And tumblr is definitely the culprit. I have two new big fics I want to read and transfer to my kindle thanks to my skimming the fanbinding tag and found a trove of SW fanfics someone posted about.

And then I fell down the Jaster Mereel rabbithole.

But I am SO CLOSE to finishing chapter 16. I just need to get my brain to shut the fuck up long enough and stay focused enough to write like...another 500 words or something stupidly doable like that. Ughhhhhh

I go to my GP next week for a med check and refill and I am seriously debating having a conversation with him about whether or not I have adult ADD. I don't know if it's just the older I get the more scattered my attention gets or what but it's seriously starting to affect my life in weird ways. I just don't know if I WANT to open that door and go the medication route or if there are non-medication routes I can explore first. Ugh okay I'm going to completely close out every tab I have for tumblr, I'm going to shut off my phone because if it's not tumble distracting me it's random reddit alerts of twitch alerts and no wonder I question if I have adult ADD I'm constantly getting overwhelmed with push notification on my social media.

EDIT: CHAPTER 16 IS COMPLETE. Wow I think I wrote an entire near 4K chapter in one day.

Now whether or not it's complete shit is totally subjective at 1am but Imma take the W and crawl into bed now. I might end up picking up some extra hours tomorrow for work so I don't know if I'll have time to write tomorrow.

NGL I broke my own a little bit writing this chapter. A theme in this and the past few chapters have been Jaster is extremely sleep deprived because of [plot spoilers I don't know if I've talked about or not]. And people keep telling him to go the fuck to sleep until Mij finally snaps and has a Come to Jesus™ talk about how he's being dumb and he shouldn't be pushing himself so hard because he's not a spring chicken anymore

And Plo has the unhappy realization that oh yeah, Jaster is pushing 50 and technically halfway through his lifespan and one day he's going to have to face the reality that he's going to outlive him. Because how many retired ori'ramikad do you know?

Annnnnnnd I inflicted emotional damage on myself with that one.

Okay I saw some cards that were supposed leaks of the new charas! And omg the nb (13?)! Their eyes looks like a cat’s ngl - I’m very much getting shapeshifter vibes? Also! A skull tattoo on their thigh😫!!

The other two look v good too! One of them has this very playful vibe - purple/magenta hair and a very fun style. Looks very much tsundere or Mc-protection-squad (like very out-wordly unlike how the brothers sort of tiptoe around it while still being very protective). The other one looks very stern but sweet idk how else to put it; very much Lucifer approved I guess. Like I feel like this one would get stuff done - help out with paperwork etc etc.

One thing that kinda irks me is how the devs would go about it. Cause (idk if it’s just me) but even the events now feel like they’re just there for the sake of having an event? The best recent one was the Masks event! But anyway, we have so much of backstory/characters to explore (really really want Mc angst to be addressed - mc’s death / all the times they’ve been threatened in game! 💀), and if they simply add in the new 3 + new chaos ensues = it would feel kinda gimmicky? Idk. It’s in the devs hands 😔

I saw them!! 13 is!!!? Holy shit!!? I've never looked at a character and thought "step on me" before but hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmnnn

I imagine mephisto to be a kinda sly & mischievous character given what we've been told about him so far? And from his expression on the card that might actually be true? I want him to be part of the gang dedicated to making all of Lucifer's hair go white

So s3 spoilers for anyone who hasn't played it:

The other character is Raphael and from what they showed in S3 he's stern and strict (like Lucifer) but Lucifer didn't seem to like him even when they were all angels. I believe Lucifer called him smug and said that he looks down his nose at others (IN OTHER WORDS HIM & LUCIFER ARE TOO SIMILAR AND DON'T GET ALONG AND LUCIFER DOESN'T EVEN REALISE IT!!!!?) and apparently Lucifer & Mammon were constantly arguing and fighting with him

I dunno I've really liked the recent events? It's not just MC jumping from character to character and spending time with them - there's usually a small story or even a mystery to solve and I've really liked that.

I think they'll manage to do it well cause:

They've been teasing Raphael since s3 and he even showed up twice in S3, though we never saw him. S3 also ended on the cliffhanger of Raphael showing up. There's also a reason for Raphael to show up - with the questions about why the angels were stationed in the human world, why he kept meeting up with simeon, why simeon was nervous and etc. Raphael needed to show up in s3 - it was the next logical step (in my opinion Michael needed to show up too but at the same time it's okay with they're still keeping him away)

Mephisto has been there in the sidelines from the beginning of OM! So it'd be natural for us to finally be able to see him.

The only one that doesn't have an established reason for being there is 13, other than that they can give more insight into Solomon and possibly MC's soul? (Look there's 4(?) points in canon now that hints at MC not being human and I wanna know more about that)

By individually, you mean each of them as parents right? That’s what I’m going with and I warn you this is going to be a long one

With this, I’m going off the basis that they didn’t grow up basically one of the riches people in Japan as that generally affects how kids our raised and Money Is Literally Power™ in the business world

If I were to keep them rich, chances are they would be away working more often than not (both twins have stated in canon their parents where rarely home). In most, of no all, shows/anime/cartoons I’ve watched and manga I’ve read regarding high-status wealthy families, the child/children grow up being raised by staff and feel alone or forgotten by their parents. Yes they have money, but money isn’t physical affection humans thrive on.

In my college au idea (that I don’t think I ever posted on here...) I stated the headcanon Hikaru had gotten someone pregnant in college. Ngl, I really think this is something that would happen bc he’s never been one to think before he acts.

As for Kaoru, uhhhh he’s the tougher one to put this together for as I’ve never really thought about it for him. He canonically isn’t straight, so for this headcanon we’ll say he’s bi and had a wife first, then a husband

Hikaru upon finding out:

with his first kid, he was utterly terrified the moment she said the words

He was barely an adult and now he was going to be a father the world was against him

The first person he told was (surprisingly) not Kaoru as they were going through a rough spot and not talking to each other

So Mori was the first person he told. It was on the roof of their dorm building at 3 in the morning 15 minutes after Hikaru texted him saying it was urgent and he needed someone to stop him from doing something utterly stupid bc his head was a rushing mess and he had no idea what to do

When Hikaru finally got his head out of his ass and showed up at Kaoru’s dorm a week later (also at 3am, that’s just when this boy has his breakdowns) he broke down and told Kaoru everything. That they we drunk at a party. It was a one night stand. They honestly never expected to have any ties afterwards. And all that was shoved back in his face

He honestly thought (and he thought long and hard about it) about not being in the kid’s life bc he wasn’t ready to be a father

Kaoru knocked some sense into him, figuratively and literally

“Next time, keep it in your damn pants idiot”

Telling his parents was even harder than telling Kaoru. He just called Hikaru and idiot. His father didn’t talk to him for three days. And his mother was torn between being upset or being excited to be a grandmother

He was terrified

But then he heard the heartbeat for the first time

He will never admit it, but he cried

And the sonogram technician told him the we having a girl

A daughter. He was going to have a daughter

He grew more and more excited and less and less terrified

He could do this

Her water broke 6 weeks early and the doctors tried to stop her labor but she was dilating quickly

No he couldn’t do this. He wasn’t ready

Kaoru actually punched him bc Kaoru tends to knock sense into this idiot more than anyone else

“That woman in there is alone which so many strange people with her and the one person who should be in there with her is out here in the waiting room trying to get his shit together. She’s just as terrified as you are, if not more. So take a moment. Get your shit somewhat together. And get in that delivery room”

The waiting consisted of: His parents, her parents, Kaoru, Tamaki, Haruhi, Kyouya, Honey, Mori, Renge, even Kasanoda was there—everyone was ready to meet Baby Girl Hitachiin

Holding his baby girl for the first time was single handedly the best moment of his life

His second kid was planned, he was married by then

His two kids have different mother’s but Hikaru, first baby mama, and step-mother/second baby mama co-parent like goddamn pros)

Hikaru as a father:

He’s a little immature for the longest time and with his daughter he makes a lot of mistakes

His mother is on speed dial and that woman is a saint when it comes to helping

“She has a rash Mom—no I don’t know what kind of rash! That’s why I calling you—no, I’m not sending pictures this time—because it’s down there Mom—a fucking diaper rash?”

He has very little experience and boy does this guy need lots of help

Parenting books, the internet, his mother—he’s using every goddamn resource he can find

Haruhi actually offered to watch his daughter literally any time he needed a babysitter—which brought on many long discussion between the two of them about kids

At one point, Hikaru made in offhand comment to Tamaki about their (Tamaki and Haruhi) future with kids and Haruhi about died on the spot

His kids are 6 yrs apart

By the time his son was born, Hikaru knew what the hell he was doing and totally had everything figured out

quit laughing Kaoru he’s trying his best

His son was named after Kaoru

The differences between how Hikaru raised his kids really show sometimes

With his daughter, he let her get away with a lot more than he should have growing up, he was very lenient and he didn’t quite understand parents aren’t supposed to be their kids’ best friend so she basically got anything she wanted for a long time and that was a hard habit to break for both Hikaru and his daughter

(and considering she was the first kid and between all the hosts and the first grandchild in the family, she was spoiled a lot)

With his son, as his son grew up in a two-parent home with his older sister being at her mom’s 50% of the time, he tried being more strict—he learn his lesson letting his first kid having whatever she wanted—although it was hard as he and his wife weren’t always on the same page when it came to disciplining their son

Hikaru and his wife discussed having another kid, but 2 ended up being plenty (even if the oldest was back and forth between Hikaru and her mother and only spent half the time and every other holiday/birthday with him)

He really is trying his best tho and all he hopes is that his children grow up knowing that

Kaoru upon finding out:

Unlike Hikaru, Kaoru was married for several years before his first kid

They actually tried for a little over 2 yrs to get pregnant with no luck for the longest time—he was beginning to think something was wrong—until Hikaru told him his wife was pregnant, then Kaoru’s wife found out she was pregnant (they were born 3 weeks apart)

Kaoru was super exited for have his first kid

After all, he had all that practice with his niece and his little sister (who was born as they began college)

In all honested, Kaoru was physically and financially prepared for parenthood (buuuut probably not mentally)

His first kid was a boy born at 2 in the morning after 36 hrs of labor, he was exhausted, his wife was exhausted, everyone was getting cranky and Hikaru’s first baby mama made labor look easy and Kaoru was not expecting it to be so bad—or that his wife had such a strong grip on his poor hand—but hot damn holding his son for the first time made everything worth it

I don’t have anything else to add here my brain hurts

Kaoru as a father:

Respectively, Kaoru had more experience with raising kids than his brother did (and he learned a lot from his brother’s mistakes)

Although with all his previous experiences, nothing prepared Kaoru for actually parenthood—it was nothing like watching his niece and little sister

He worked nights for a while so someone would be home with the baby

He didn’t want his son in any kind of childcare facility—nothing against them he swears, he just doesn’t like the idea of someone else taking care of his kid that he doesn’t know

Kaoru and his wife started having problems when their son was around 1-1&1/2yo, but trying staying together for their son’s sake. They ended up divorcing when their son was 5 after Kaoru had fallen out of love with her

Co-parenting wasn’t as easy with Kaoru and his ex-wife as Hikaru and his baby mama made it look (damn Hikaru had to be a pro at this point)

He didn’t get to see his son a lot after the divorce as his ex-wife had custody.

This killed Kaoru. All he wanted was to be there for his son. He grew up with his parents working a lot and being away and he swore he would never let his kid grow up without him around. He ended up only getting his son every other holiday/birthday and during breaks from school

Kaoru treasured every minute of it

Kaoru remarried a few years later and his husband treated his son like he was his own kid any time they had his son

They ended up adopting a little girl (about the time his son was 7 or 8) and a little boy a few years later

Kaoru didn’t really have the best relationship with his oldest until he was in his mid-teens

I know I didn’t stay exactly on task here and I kinda went off and stated headcanons based around their lives as parents rather than how they are as parents and I apologized for that. This was very fun to write for and I enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks for the ask! Sorry it was so long, I’ve been working on this literally since the ask hit my inbox...

Bio!Dad Bruce Wayne - Scarecrow Interlude

Honestly this falls after the Batfam meets the Super Squad and after they all meet the Justice League and chew them out. So it’ll be organized in the list chronologically once I get more stuff in there but for now here it is because I couldn’t get it off my mind.

(Also something similar to this happens in another Maribat au but I cannot for the life of me figure out which one so if you know, please tell me so I can link to it!)

Okay, but, Marinette, the Wayne’s, and the Super Squad are all at a party that The Scarecrow crashes. Somehow he ends up super close to Marinette and injects her with a full vial of Fear Toxin. The Wayne Family is screaming bloody fucking murder because holy shit no.

Marinette, badass extraordinaire, knows how to handle her fear. She’s like, always afraid tbh. Anxiety is a hellish landscape many of us must suffer. So, instead of panicking (I mean she’s absolutely panicking and having some kind o attack but she’s a hero ffs, she’s got this) gets mad. Very mad. Grabs onto the front of Scarecrow’s shit and just starts decking him. Repeatedly. There’s always a hand on him to ensure that its really him that she’s hitting bc he never let go of her and she never let go of him.

(Adrien, right after Mari gets injected: OOHH, now you have fucked up! You have fucked up now!

Kagami: Kick his ass, babe, we got your family!

.... they’re the meme team, let me dream.)

ANYWAYS, Mari punches the Scarecrow into unconsciousness, and keeps a hold of him. Calls out “Sandboy version seven!” which, of course, the whole super squad knows what that’s code for, and takes their designated positions. Marinette proceeds to a process of hitting all of them (not very hard, like, throwing her purse/shoe at them and making sure it hits, waving her hand and making sure it makes contact) and goes through ensuring they’re all real. She can’t tell who is what horrifying creature her brain has pulled out of her nightmares, but hey, she knows its them. Can feel the magic of their Miraculi.

There’s a couple of close calls because she confirms some of the things she’s seeing/hearing ARE NOT REAL. and Promptly panics even more and tries to fight them. The Super Squad just lets her work it out.

Meanwhile the Wayne’s are screaming internally like. UH? THAT’S?? THE BABY? WHY THE FUCK DOES THE BABY KNOW HOW TO HANDLE THIS SO WELL? WHO’S ASS IS GETTING KICKED FOR THIS? UM? HELLO?

they give her all the hugs once Marinette gets the antidote (given via Chloe bc sorry paramedics, Mari can and will beat you into the ground before she lets you touch her.)

ngl the rest of the day is the whole team going home and dog piling Marinette, who’s still anxious and panicked as hell and constantly gets reassured by everyone what is and isn’t real and that she handled herself well and everything’s fine! Its fine! Really! Just. Give Marinette all the hugs.

my fave work is obviously MOC. you can really see how much time you invested in developing everything from the characters to the world to the story. and the plot is so rich. whenever i read, i’m constantly on edge (in a good way) wondering what’ll happen next. i also love the way that you worldbuild. instead of just suddenly dumping the info on us, you set it up perfectly and give us just enough for context while STILL leaving us wanting more!

the characters are so complex!! every character has their own flaws and yet we still root for them because of how strong their motivation is. (yes i’m even rooting for yeosang even though he’s a little shit) it adds to their realness, and you can see this when it comes to minor characters too! (like cara) even if you don’t like them, you can still understand their motivations and actions. not a single character falls flat and it’s so fucking awesome how well thought out everything is

your writing style is *chef’s fucking kiss!!* every sentence flows so smoothly to the next and i’m literally captivated by every single word. and i just love how your pacing and how you use it to build tension or slow things down so we can recover from the full blown action. and even when it comes to the action, everything is moving so fast and it’s exhilarating and makes me so nervous and excited. the roller coaster of emotions i go through while reading this leaves me in awe. i’ll literally be happy in one chapter, angry in one, and on the verge of tears in another. and sometimes i can feel all of these things in a SINGLE chapter. The writing is so vivid and you bring EVERYTHING to life and i’m left in awe every time i read a chapter.

and omg i love the interim chapters. it gives us a chance to learn more about the characters and their relationships. (honestly, if we didn’t have the interim chapters, i would definitely hate yeosang more than i do right now lmaoooo) and they also make me happy because i feel like it’s so hard for them to have moments of peace in the main plot. and honestly whenever they do, ngl i get uneasy cause i’m just like… something’s gonna happen which again goes to show how you always keep me on my toes and i love it!

YOUR USE OF ALLUSIONS!! I STILL HAVE CHILLS FROM THE SYMBOLISM OF THE EURYDICE AND I KNOW DAMN WELL THERE’S STILL OTHER THINGS THAT I LET SLIP BUT HOLY SHIT THAT IS SO AMAZING!! I would also like to take this moment to add that the amount of research you did is AMAZING. Every time Yunho would bust out his doctor knowledge i’m just like damnnnn you went in depth when doing this and i have so much respect and admiration for the amount of effort and love that went into this.

(If you had to take a shot every time i said amazing, you would have alcohol poisoning lmaoooo but i have no other words to express how fantastic Mists is.)

in conclusion, you are one of the greatest writers (i would say THE best but if i do you won’t accept the title so here we are) out here and you should be so proud of everything you’ve done and WILL do in the future. you really went all out with this series and i hope that everyone will read this because it’s the greatest fanfic i have EVER read in all my years of living. i’m so proud and honored to call you my friend. you inspire me so much and motivate me to tackle my own writing. keep up the beautiful work you’re doing and i cannot WAIT to see what’s to come. a/n: part 2 of the drabble series; not super proud of this one ngl, but terushima gives me strong Shane Madej vibes and I respect him for that; lowkey would 10/10 go on a hunt with this guy

“Please remind me why I asked you to come along?” You sighed, watching with slight disdain as the boy who accompanied you danced (a very poor) rendition of the waltz. His feet continued to sweep across the dirty floor, the sound of his shoes scraping across the surface making you cringe.

Terushima merely gave you that shit eating grin he always had when he was up to no good, “because you love me.” He seemed to have given up on his dance routine, instead opting to sling an arm over your shoulders. “Admit it, y/n, I’m a delight to be around.”

“Yeah yeah yeah. Well, I hope your ego serves you well here.”

The site you had decided to begrudgingly invite Terushima along to was an old asylum that was once the base of operations for hundreds of labs that catered to human experimentation. The decrepit building sat abandoned now, it’s massive chambers having been left empty for nearly a century. Quite possibly the only thing more haunting than the appearance of the construction were the tales of what still remains within the concrete walls.

You and Terushima were already in the main lobby area of the building. Gaining access through proper means was no easy feat, so you simply decided that you’d have to do it your own way by slipping through a hole in the chain linked fence surrounding the perimeter. The prospect of trespassing made Terushima incredibly excited and for the nth time that night, you found yourself rolling your eyes at his antics.

“So, what characters does this place have to offer.”

You bit back a snarky remark, instead opting to just go straight into the spiel you usually gave on any significant sightings or prominent figures that are said to linger within the building.

Throughout your condensed explanation, Terushima seemed unamused by the lore you had encountered online. He waited until you had finished to throw his two cents in, “not gonna lie, this place seems pretty vanilla.”

“You’re so annoying.”

The pair of you continued into a small hallway on the left side of the lobby. It was pretty straightforward; rooms were littered along the walls and at the very end was a set of stairs that went both to the upper level and the basement. You and Terushima (mostly you) decided that, considering you were technically here illegally, it would be best to get in and get out. One walk up and one walk back down the hallway should suffice. And if you happened to peak into any of the smaller rooms, then so be it. You just hoped that covering this small of a space would prove to be worthwhile.

Terushima walked ahead of you, his flashlight casting strange shadows as he moved it from end to end. You tried your best to ignore him as he made fun of the shoddy spray paint that was left behind by others who had visited the asylum.

You were more deliberate in your gaze however. The entire building gave off this eerie sense of being watched, but you mostly blamed that on the atmosphere of 1. trespassing 2. it being 3am on a Tuesday night and 3. Terushima’s terrible whistling three feet ahead of you.

“Would you please shut up?”

Before he could reply with what would no doubt be a stupid rebuttal, you dug out a small device from your backpack and shoved it towards him.

“The hell am I supposed to do with this?”

“It’s an EVP. Spirits can use this to communicate with us. Just turn it on and try talking to them.”

“You want me to talk to do what?”

“Just start talking and see if you get a reply.”

You were ready for him to give you another dumb reply, but he merely shrugged and turned on the small box. A gentle hum of white noise filled the area and you’d be lying if you said it didn’t add an ominous impression to the whole ordeal.

You and Terushima continued walking, he had already done as you said and was walking along the corridor alongside you. Your shoulders brushed against each other’s every so often.

You had just reached the stairs and Terushima was about to turn around and begin heading back, but you grabbed onto his sleeve and pulled him towards the steps.

“We should try to do a full session here. Some experts say that stairs can act as portals for spirits and are paranormal hotspots.”

He let out a groan, “fine, but we better get something to eat on the way home. I’m fucking starving.”

“Deal.”

You had only been sitting there for a few minutes before a broken voice came through the device. You weren’t sure what it had said, but it was enough for you to grow excited.

Terushima, on the other hand, was steadily losing interest in the waiting game. His head suddenly shot up and the dangerous glint in his eyes acted as a warning in and of itself. “Hey, I think I know a way to get you proof.”

“Don’t do something stupid, Yuji, or I swear-“

“It’s not stupid because they don’t exist, and I’ll prove it!”

You braved yourself for whatever antics he had planned, but were slightly shocked as he clambered up the stairs, the stomping of his feet echoing through the stairwell was almost deafening.

He stood at the top of the first flight, a triumphant smirk plastered on his face as he still held the recorder in his grasp. “Listen up, you dead fucks!”

“Holy shit dude.”

“If you’re so high and mighty, then do me a solid and throw me down these stairs!”

“Oh my god, shut up Yuji! Don’t say that!”

He quirked his eyebrow at you, clearly inviting you to argue with him. “My friend said that some of you bastards might’ve killed a few people. You wanna kill me? Then kill me, you fucking coward. It’s not that hard.”

You couldn’t believe what you were hearing. And while you immediately feared the worst, you couldn’t help the small scoff that escaped your parted lips. “You really have some nerve, Yuji. It’s your fucking funeral.”

He ignored your comment, now pacing across the landing as if he was about to make some huge revelation. “My thing is, I don’t give a shit,” he casts a sideways glance towards you, “however, my darling friend down there does. So, you ghoulish deadbeats, prove to them that you either A. exist—or B. this is a waste of their, and frankly my, time.”

When a minute passed with no response, Terushima strode down the stairs with an air of arrogance surrounding him. “Shall we leave then? It seems like your friends don’t want to play with us.”

You decided against bickering and nodded in defeat, though for reasons you can’t voice, the small smile on your lips failed to subside. “Let’s get out of here, cowboy.”

The walk back through was now filled with a comfortable silence. Only the scraping of shoes on the concrete could be heard, but you didn’t find it as abrasive anymore. Terushima kept pace with you, his hands in his pockets as he walked. He only broke the silence when you were back in his car, your backpack filled with little trinkets and equipment was shoved in the backseat.

He slid into the drivers seat and started the car as you sat beside him. He watched in mild confusion as you smiled to yourself. “What are you so happy about? Didn’t I finally disprove ghosts to you?”

“No way. If anything, it just makes me want to take you to more locations so that I can prove to you ghosts are real. Even if it means you get your shit kicked in by one.”

He looked at you with both awe and incredulity, “I’m breaking out the clown wig just for you.”

“Shut up,” you chuckle and gently shoved his arm.

The car lurched forward, the dirt and stone beneath the tires filling the otherwise silent cab. Terushima rolled down his window as he pulled onto the main road and waved a taunting hand in farewell towards the looming building. “Eat my ass, ghouls!”

it seems that so much has happened while i was gone,, all of these picrews (which i absolutely adore!) and quinn getting into my account?? ahhhhh oh gosh,, that's a lot!! i'm gonna have to scold her! i can't believe she would submit such candid pics of me and other stuff,, quite embarrassing! but i wasn't expecting such a positive response to me and my one cat,,, who knew that all you anons find me sleeping cute??? it's confusing to me, but i find it quite funny hehe 😖❤ (5/?)

luckily i was able to be a little more productive lately, even if i have been exausted!! i've been cooking, cleaning, modeling, sewing, dancing, and editing videos for people,, so much work! i do think it's worth it though, it helps distract me from the bad things in life, and other people end up happy,, i'd consider it a win-win for me!!! my dad also taught me how to fix up an angelo azzuro,, which is a cocktail i didn't learn yet! it took two days of hard work and practice, but according to him, i "nailed it right on the head" my papa is always my go-to for mixology, he taught me most of what i know, and he's always the first person to try my drinks! apparently it's a very interesting concept to my other friends, since they have so limited access to spirits,, it does make sense though! we italians just don't care about drinking ages hehehe, as long as we're responsible and cautious with age, it adds to our lifespan ;) during that short break, i suppose my narcolepsy flared up a lot since i was falling asleep left and right! it was awful having to constantly wake up with either a migraine, extra tiredness, or even a bruise or two,, thankfully though i had my family to watch over me,, at least i was finally able to make up for lost sleep hehe 💫 (8/?)

i also got to play a lot of minecraft hehe,, my friend and i actually spent a full day doing a speedrun world, and we killed the ender dragon and wither within only 2 1/2 hours!! it was crazy,, i guess me and him just make a dynamic duo (but i dare to say,, not quite as dynamic as you and me 😉) speaking of minecraft, over the weekend i decided that i'm going to start streaming on twitch soon as a hobby!! i'm very excited for this, it's something i've wanted to do for a very long time now (9/?)

all of my friends and my siblings are very supportive of it, which i'm super glad about!! i've always found little bits of joy in my favorite streamers, so why not give back to that community? an artist friend of mine even drew me a pfp as a gift, it's so cute! all i have to do is figure out a balance between school, personal life, and streaming, then i'll be set,, i'm always happy to get a new hobby 😊✨ (10/?)

Toilet-bound Hanako-kun Chapter 17: The Little Mermaid (Part 2)

Previously: we started a new arc and things get complicated for both Yashiro and Hanako. We met “the other Hanako” and with that, we got a glimpse of Hanako’s backstory (if his reaction is anything to go by). After being so shaken by the encounter, Hanako starts to avoid Yashiro and it couldn’t happen at a worse time since the Mermaid’s followers found her and now are trying to get Yashiro to sever her bond with our ghost boy and to go with them instead. The chapter also brought up the concept of trust and how Yashiro views her relationship with Hanako so far (with Tsuchigomori putting in his two cents and talking a little about how Hanako probably feels), and I really really love how the author is handling it so far.

Now onto the next chapter!

Ohhhhhh!!!!! That’s the image from the anime opening!!! The one that I think made every anime-only go “wait….what???”. This image was pretty disturbing without context, but now knowing that the shadowy figure could represent his brother, it adds another layer of yikes ngl

Ah, right, when we last left off, the fish had forced Yashiro into the water when she declined their invitation. A great way to get her to trust you, guys. Truly a phenomenal job.

Again: that’s fucking rude! Don’t you go dissing my girl like that, she’s a bit ditzy but she’s wonderful!!

I was gonna say “how do you expect her to come with you after trash-talking her like that?” but that’s probably the angle they’re going for. They’re trying to crush her self esteem so that she has no choice but to think that going to their world would be the best thing she could do. Clearly, they’re not above using dirty tactics.

…………..sigh Yeah I was afraid of that. Like, the way I see it, Yashiro’s concern with popularity stems from her own desire for people to like her (it goes hand in hand with her romantic personality), so if these fish tell her “Oh, you’re nothing more than a walking disaster as a human, no one will love you if you stay here. but if you come with us, you will be loved by all”, it doesn’t surprise me that she would be tempted by the idea.

Oh, is Hanako finally here?

There he is!! And as always, he arrives just in the nick of time and rescues her with great dramatic flair. Also, there’s something about fish!Yashiro’s expression that is just really funny to me.

He says “your world may be kind to her...this one my be cruel...but it doesn’t matter”

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh ಥ‿ಥ you tell them, Hanako! They have no right to try and take Yashiro away from this world and him. Also, this page is beautiful holy shit, it’s simple yet detailed where needed. “Are you gonna praise the art style every recap?” you ask……...yeah, probably

ಥ‿ಥ I love them so much ಥ‿ಥ

You know? Sometimes I forget how scary Hanako can look sometimes. But then his eyes go all black and he smiles like that and I remember. The threat seems to be enough to send the fish packing, though, even if they do say that they won’t give up on getting Yashiro to go with them.

Ahhhh, this makes me so happy! They’re clearly still learning to interact in a more “serious” manner around each other. It’s a slow process but they’re communicating more effectively (Yashiro with her speech to him when she gave him the donuts and Hanako apologizing not only now but also after the confession tree incident) and it’s really nice to see. And just look at how happy that made her! That’s all that she wanted, for him to reach out to her after he avoided her for a while. Another thing that I really appreciate is these rare moments where we get Hanako acting sincerely, no jokes or cheeky smiles, just him laying out his genuine feelings; especially here, since it proves that what the fish said was wrong.

I feel the need to point out that she’s not denying it. Like, yes, she meant it as friends, but the implications are there and don’t think for a second that I don’t see the “badum, badum, badum” and the blush. The romantic chemistry they have is very apparent and I’m living for it.

OH! There it is! Well, I’m glad that the reveal didn’t take very long (even if it was a pretty important thing to be spoiled on).

That’s a nice detail. He’s trying to act naturally but this is clearly a sensitive topic for him……..which makes me think that Yashiro’s assumption last chapter will be right.

……………..yeah, there it is. Can’t say I’m particularly surprised but it’s still a hard pill to swallow. I talked about it last chapter (and maybe during some of the other chapters as well) but with the clues we’ve been given and considering Hanako’s behaviour, the theory that makes the most sense to me so far is that Hanako probably killed his brother in self-defence. Then again, this is still pretty early in the story, so there’s probably a lot we still don’t know. Like I mentioned earlier, Hanako also has moments where he looks/acts scary, so there could be something more to that. It could also just be a side effect of him becoming a supernatural but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hanako asks her if she really wants to get to know him after learning that, and tells her that if she does, he will tell her everything someday. And this is a great step in the right direction. Not only it puts Yashiro’s concerns ("does he trust me?”) at ease, but also it shows his current feelings ("i’m not ready to share yet, but i need to let het know that) and his willingness to open up and be vulnerable in the future. Character development, gotta love it.

OH!!!! Are we shifting perspectives to the suspicious girl?? Because I remember that in the anime she was always the one that spread the rumors over the radio, or, well, the intercom, I guess. And since we now know that she’s Hanako’s brother’s assistant, there’s a very high chance of seeing him again. I’m both excited and terrified by the prospect. ALSO what the actual fuck is that on the left. Why are there body parts seemingly floating around??? is this just an artistic choice or are they actually there?? Either way, it’s creepy as hell.

Oh, god, it looks like those things are actually there in the room and just imagining being there gives me goosebumps. But yes, anyway, there she is! And Natsuhiko, too! Gotta say, kinda missed our suspicious person 1 and suspicious person 2. He’s worried about letting Hanako’s brother run off but she says that he wouldn’t have listened to her if she had tried to stop him anyway. Which is interesting, since while Hanako does march to the beat of his own drum, he still seems to take what Yashiro and Kou say into consideration (even if just a little bit).

Oh? “boundaries within cities”? Like, not just within the school? We know that she has knowledge of the boundaries thanks to her conversation with Yashiro in the library but maybe she’s expanding her search to reach a bigger scope?

Natsuhiko is worried about the chance of our wonder trio finding out they’re the ones behind the changes in the rumors. And that’s a valid concern, since Hanako is in charge of maintaining the relationships between humans and supernaturals, and he obviously would have to intervene.

………...I-I don’t know what I was expecting, but it wasn’t this omfg. She certainly has him wrapped around her finger, huh?

(⚆.⚆) Oh boy, there he is, oh boy.

I’m sorry I just have to point out how utterly done she looks. Like, since she slapped Natsuhiko for touching her hand, I’m guessing she’s not a very touchy-feely person, so this must be quite bothersome for her. Still, her expression is wonderful lol Also! It looks like not caring about people’s personal bubbles is something that runs in the family……….oh, is that why she called him a cat? Possibly.

Okay, so he says that this is not his usual outfit (and that explains the more Japanese-style outfit I saw him wearing in the spoiler) but he wore it because he “was seeing Amane for the first time in ages.” So there’s the confirmation about the fact that he hasn’t been at the school for a significant amount of time. And, again, that’s very suspicious.

Okay. Listen. He looks very cute. But Hanako’s terrified expression keeps reappearing in my mind when I think that. So I’m gonna wait and see what’s the deal with this boy because for now I mostly feel….unsettled.

“He looked happy to see me,” he says, while floating around in a childlike manner. I, uh, um. Are you sure about that, honey?? Because it sure didn’t seem like it to me.

Also: “But I still can’t move around that well yet. They chased me off.” So that’s what happened on the rooftop. He said that she had helped him get here, so maybe his spirit form hasn’t fully “materialized” enough for him to move around comfortably.

(⚆.⚆) (⚆.⚆) Remember how I said that I felt unsettled? Well, this really isn’t helping the matter jfc

Wow he’s really clingy, like, even more than Hanako by the looks of it. He’s like my cats when it’s time for me to feed them. Also! Sakura! I’m guessing that’s her name, right? I can finally stop calling her suspicious girl lol

But yeah, quite the trio we have here. Now that Hanako’s brother is here, I’m guessing that their little ensemble is complete since they would work in direct opposition to Yashiro, Hanako and Kou.

Oh! I feel like I’ve said “oh” so much this chapter….oh, well. The fish are back! “We’ve found him” Are they talking about Hanako’s brother? Do they know who he is or maybe they are mistaking him for Hanako?

Ah, no. They saw what happened in the rooftop the other day; they recognize him and they remember how shaken Hanako looked at the time so they want to win him over to be able to fight against Hanako. I mean, it’s not a bad plan. Hanako’s brother doesn’t seem to want to hurt him but by that one interaction they had, we can see that their relationship definitely has some complicated layers.

So what’s been happening with the rumors has reached even the mermaid’s kingdom? That really makes me wonder exactly how interconnected the different worlds are since information seems to travel quite fast.

Natsuhiko spotted the fish and…

BnHA Chapter 245: The Second One

Previously on BnHA: We kicked off day one of New Internships with a fun-filled morning of shenanigans. Highlights included: (1) an old bearded man gallivanting around town telling everyone the world is going to end (and making a surprising amount of sense); (2) Bakugou and Deku attempting to rough up a group of impassioned hobos, only to have their thunder stolen from right underneath their noses; and (3) Hawks, the thunder-stealer himself, who proceeded to be all “what’s up fellas, hey Endeavor did you miss me?” Endeavor, who totally did miss him, pretended like he had not, and meanwhile Hawks introduced himself to Endeavor’s new trainees: Finger-Smashing Kid, Kid Who Used To Work For The Guy You Just Murdered, and Shouto (Just Shouto). Then he pulled out a copy of Re-Destro’s book and was all, “hey Endeavor have you heard of this book which was really important to the plot in the previous arc? I think you should read it, for reasons!!” and Endeavor just kind of stared at him, which wasn’t exactly inspiring. Anyways let’s see if these two idiots can manage to pull this off.

Today on BnHA: Hawks shoves the Liberation Army’s book into Endeavor’s hands while staring at him with the intensity of a thousand suns, and then, to avoid suspicion, proceeds to hand out another 500,000 copies of the book without even being asked. He then flies back to the PLF headquarters and is all “good news gentlemen, I gave out copies of the Army’s book to everyone in Japan!” and they’re all “that’s great, Hawks!” because somehow it turns out that this was actually a good plan. Back at the Endeavor Agency HQ, the kids meet Endeavor’s 30+ other sidekicks, who are all “now let’s all stand around and wait for Endeavor to tell us what to do.” Over in his office, Endeavor shrewdly deduces that Hawks was trying to tell him something, and pieces together the hidden code Hawks left in his book, which basically reads “IN FOUR MONTHS WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE.” Back at the PLF, the League cheerfully discusses their plot to blow up the entire world come Springtime. Which apparently everyone is on board with. So, uh, does anyone else feel like they accidentally fell asleep during a really important part of the movie, because uh. What.

(All comments are my unspoiled reactions from my initial readthrough of the chapter. I did a quick edit for grammar and clarity afterward, and added a few ETAs in the process, but aside from that there are no changes.)

okay so two things: (1) as I mentioned in a previous post, Caleb Cook reported that this chapter took him more than 4 times longer than usual to translate. so like, what does that mean?? guess we’re about to find out!

and (2) HAWKS’S REAL NAME. I started typing up this recap early just so I could liveblog my reaction, since it seems that the databook has leaked, and I figure I’m going to stumble across this sooner rather than later. so I’m just going to look it up now here goes!!

ooh damn, I love it!? “hawk” + “vision” lolol HORIKOSHI BACK AT IT AGAIN. but “watchman” is a really nice bonus what with how it relates both to the whole spying biz, and in a more general sense toward what he is trying to do as a hero trying to protect society. plus the name “Keigo” just has a really nice sound to it in general. kind of a boyish, youthful sound. not too hard or soft. idk. I like it. that was my favorite character in Bleach too

also apparently both of the kanji used for “Keigo” mean “enlightenment” oooh. my god I could analyze this all day. this being Thursday night, I’ll have some time to ruminate before I read the chapter tomorrow, so if I have any epiphanies I will add them in later!

(ETA: no additional thoughts on this right now, but there is now a ton of other content out from Ultra Analysis, so let’s take a quick look at some of that!

I guess it’s worth noting that Toga’s eye is fine. the League has healed up pretty nicely in general actually. like, that’s seriously impressive for a group that doesn’t have Recovery Girl on staff. how long has it even been since Deika? a few weeks? this is almost ridiculous

Hi Ben! I see you’re still enjoying the absolute insanity that has gripped tumblr the last couple of days XD . As someone who’s been a tumblr lurker for a number of years, this is hysterical enough from my side. I can’t imagine the sheer ridiculousness of seeing it firsthand. Virtually every blog I check, no matter if they’ve ever seen a SPN episode or not, has been posting about it. It is WILD.

I feel like I’m at least a little lucky that I always skewed more ‘lock’ than anything (mainly because my 'who’ took a hard dive into Torchwood and never really recovered), so there’s less emotional flashbacks/richochets/rollercoastering/etc. (Yes, I did in fact see the news about Sherlock season 5, but I never saw season 4 because of some of the feedback I heard before I got the chance to watch it, so it’ll take something truly impressive to draw me back now.) Although in a roundabout way Sherlock is what eventually led me to Teen Wolf because of multi-focus blogs, so I guess I can thank it for that.

Work was one of those super fun days where the manager leaving not long after I got there was all “Yeah, it’s been really calm, and both deliveries so far have been small and should be easy to deal with." So of course, about an hour after he leaves, four more pallets full of stuff show up, so I spent pretty much my whole shift trying to get everything checked in. On the one hand, yay, less customers, on the other, hauling that shit around in a mask gets hot.

That dish sounds delicious, and definitely better than my sad lunch/dinner at work. Ngl, I’m extremely jealous.

And omg, the last line post now has me nervous again because there are multiple options of who is saying whatever it is to whom, and all of them hurt. XD Also very here for the idea of a pack of three year-olds trying to pull a Parent Trap on their respective dads. Is there a treehouse or playhouse they can lock them into to talk? A moment of Jax and Stiles pointing out that they both agree on this, so they should know that it’s serious? Trying to make them draw or write down why they’re sad, or whatever similar coping skills the dad usually has the kid use? Trying to take away a treat of some sort/ground them from doing something/etc until they agree to talk to each other? So many possibilities.

I cackled at that coffee shop guy post, because the sheer obliviousness demonstrated by the op throughout the story is almost the exact energy being displayed by Peter in my fake dating fic and seeing a story of it happening in RL about took me out. XD

Also, I’m super curious what kinds of rituals you’re planning for the fic. Good, bad, druidic, wolfy, pack, wedding, birth, sexy, friendship, binding, warding, ??? Inquiring minds want to know (whenever you are ready to share of course. Inquiring minds can also be patient. ;D )

Oh, a funny moment at work! I was picking up one of the pallets after I’d emptied it, and there was a knot in one of the boards that I almost knocked out as I grabbed it, and my brain’s immediate thought was "Whoops, almost just popped the knot on that wood”, immediately followed by the thought “Oh god, no, jesus christ, PHRASING, tonight of all nights, no." (I am super sad that there is no one I work with that I could scream about this with.)

“Trying not to cry in despair, for the most part. Why is everything you own at least a size too big and some shade of brown?” Peter called back over his shoulder, still staring at the somewhat neatly organized rainbow of dull, listless neutrals in growing dismay.

“I’m wearing a green shirt right now, asshole, and not all of us are interested in looking like we got squeezed into our clothing by force. Some of us actually acknowledge our age, and try to dress somewhat appropriately. Some of us also understand the value of blending in.”

“Okay, firstly, age, as they say, is just a number. Secondly, there’s trying not to stand out, and there’s just giving up. Though frankly, I’ve never quite put much stock in either.”

“Color me shocked to hear that from someone I’ve seen wear a cardigan like it was an actual shirt on more than one occasion.”

Peter shrugged as he continued to rifle through hangers and peek into storage containers, though he wasn’t certain that Noah could even see him from within the depths of the walk-in. “If you’ve got it, flaunt it.” The sigh that answered him held a level of long-suffering, begrudging patience that Peter was far more used to hearing directed at Stiles than himself.

Why yes, there is indeed a trip suit shopping in the story. Basically, I am cramming in every random obnoxiously trope-y thing I can remember from the few rom coms I’ve seen. Also, there is so much food in this story. Like, it’s ridiculous how often there someone ends up eating something. I’m not even sure where it came from.

And honestly, I think Tumblr’s 2012 insanity streak is the only thing keeping me sane right now. Because holy shit what a week.

I never really got into Sherlock myself or Doctor Who. I think I saw one episode of Dr. who (with David Tennant I think) and three episodes of Sherlock because my mom used to watch it.

I saw 12 seasons of Supernatural though, I definitely had an obsession with Destiel and particularly Dean Winchester. Fun fact; Cosplaying Dean made me comfortable enough to come out to my friends as transgender. Because I realized that I couldn't hide my gender even if I tried so hard for over 23 years.

And it was Supernatural that eventually led me to Teen Wolf. Well, that and Grimm, which was also a really fun show and really interesting.

Oh boy, yeah whenever a manager told me that I knew I was gonna be in for a very interesting night. For sure, sucks that you had to do that in a mask though. But on the other hand, no customer interaction does sound like it was a nice break in a way. And OMG I snorted!

It’s a good thing we don’t work together, I feel like the jokes wouldn’t have ended. My god I’m still snickering.

I do have a bit of an idea to have them go to the cinema with the kids and make them watch the parent trap, which of course leads to all sorts of shenanigans back at home where Allison and Malia are constantly trying to lock the dads in a room together, aided by Derek and Laura because Malia can’t reach the door handles just yet. Meanwhile Stiles and Jackson are coming up with increasingly elaborate schemes for two three-year-olds that involve their dads being locked in tree houses, sheds, and other places. Not to mention, the kindergarten pact.

And I like to think at some point the wives and Melissa start helping the kids as well. I mean I’d really like to build one giant polyamorous family for this fic.
