Here's your reminder that AFAB doesn't mean that person has breasts and a vagina. That AMAB doesn't mean that person has a flat chest and a dick.
AFAB PEOPLE CAN HAVE DICKS.
AFAB PEOPLE CAN HAVE FLAT CHESTS.
AFAB PEOPLE CAN HAVE BEARDS.
AFAB PEOPLE CAN HAVE DEEP VOICES
AMAB PEOPLE CAN HAVE TITS
AMAB PEOPLE CAN HAVE PUSSIES
AMAB PEOPLE CAN HAVE CURVES
AMAB PEOPLE CAN HAVE HIGH-PITCHED VOICES
Don't let AMAB and AFAB become the progressive binary

[SCENE: driving back from my appointment]
dad: ...am I going to have to teach you how to shave?
me: uh yeah! at some point, lol
dad: hm. well I can show you the way I prefer, with mug soap and a brush, because the aerosol cans are just no. I showed your brother my way and he likes it a lot better too...
dad: [rambles for a bit]
dad: ...it's really just another chore, you look in the mirror and go 'ugh I have to shave soon' so it's just one of those things you do every once in a while
me, externally: haha yeah, I can't wait :]
me, internally: he's talking about this like it's no big deal, it's not weird at all,,, he doesn't mind the idea of teaching me despite the fact that he never expected to be doing this with me,,,, he's my dad and he supports me even if he doesn't completely get it,,,

the point of my masculinity and male positivity posts are to underline that masculinity and manhood are seen as a threat or in direct opposition to queerness, and that often times in order to be seen as queer you have to be partially or wholly feminine or gender neutral, or express your manhood in a feminine or gender neutral way in order to no longer be threatening, invasive, or a problem.
it is very difficult to exist in queer spaces as a hyper masculine person & a man. you're made to feel like you need to walk a tight rope feeling like you're inherently out of place, as if you existing and being masculine or a man in queer spaces makes others uncomfortable inherently.. just know that when i make positivity posts it is to remind us all that masculinity/manhood and queerness are not opposites and that you do not have to be a feminine man or masc person to be viewed/seen/heard as queer.
chasing men, masculine people, and masculinity out of queer spaces isn't helping anyone currently and won't help anyone down the line. please accept masc enbies, butches, bears, and masculine trans men with the same kindness, love, and passion that you do neutral and feminine people. that's the point when i make these kinds of posts. thank u

I think it's incredibly important to remind folks on testosterone or folks who want to reverse patterned baldness about their options, but man, does it sometimes suck wondering how much of our insecurities about our hair stem from backwards beliefs that to strive towards beauty is not only preferable but "makes you good."
As someone with a rather masculinized body pre-medical transition, patterned baldness has always seemed neutral. Hair is incredibly important (hell, much of my own energy is spent on my hair because I like it), but the pressure to have hair, to have hair the "right way" is something that I absolutely loathe.
I'm not here to judge people who don't want patterned hair loss or baldness, I'm here to say that those traits will never make you lesser. Not only is it neutral, but it is also just as worthy and beautiful.

hey shout out of recognition and validation to all the queer people who didn’t exhibit many queer behaviors or have queer many experiences when they were young!! shout out to trans women and trans men who didn’t feel bad about or uncomfortable with their AGAB when they were younger and didn’t gravitate toward the “opposite side of things”. shout out to nonbinary and genderfluid ppl who felt content with their AGAB all of their childhood or even teen and adults years. shout out to lesbians who didn’t have any crushes on girls growing up and liked traditionally feminine things and shout out to gay men who didn’t have any crushes on boys growing up and liked traditionally masculine things. shout out to bi and pan and omni people who only had hetero attractions growing up. shout out to aros and aces who thought they experienced crushes or attraction or whatever while growing up and didn’t feel excluded by being surrounded by allo people. shout out to literally any queer people who didn’t “show the signs” growing up because that can make you feel invalidated or worried that you’re faking it and you shouldn’t feel worried about that! When we say that everyone’s journey and experience is different, that includes you!! Happy pride month <3

I need to see other butches. I need to see other butches unapologetically masculine and shirtless and relaxed in nature. I need to see other butches on TV and in my books and in my shop and bar. I need butches whose masculinity is not apologised for by feminine or otherwise mainstreamly redeeming qualifiers, like whiteness, thinness, able bodied-ness, attractiveness, feminine faces, earrings, women's jeans and shoes. These things are all okay, but I need to see a butch character who's not been shaped to be acceptable for all audiences with reservations about queerness. I need a butch who's fat, hairy, deep voiced, who's older, who wear shirts and ripped jeans and boots instead of dapper suits. Butches who are on T, or have PCOS, butches who also identify as ftm, or as a woman no matter how they're seen. I need trans fem butches who are fucking ACCEPTED for however they show up in their bodies and clothes.
We need butches not sterilised and redeemed by cis/het normative bounds of expression.

so I found this ⤵️ on pinterest...
Tumblr media
...and went down a bit of a rabbit hole, found a neat article/blog post about it (did you know these babies are from 1884???!?! ), went on the pronoun dressing room, et cetera...
and idk, I'm very happy with he/him and they/them, I wasn't really interested in searching for any other pronouns (neos are cool but don't do much for me, personally) but thon/thons has kinda snuck up on me and I'm just like
oh??? 👀
so I think I might add these to my collection, as a little treat! I figure they'll probably be more of an online special, at least for the time being, but yeah. kinda doing a test run with 'em. :)
aaaaaaand here's a bonus usage chart thing I nabbed off of the pronouns wiki !!

Massive Anti-Trans Blocklist
Hi! One of my friends accidentally rb’d from a TERF and I ended up in a giant rabbit hole of anti-trans accounts. Here they are so you can go block them! They’re in no particular order, and this certainly doesn’t encapsulate all of them, but I sure did run into a lot.
