The sound of giggling filled the Reid household as you chased the mini-Reid through the kitchen and into the living area. When you finally caught Diana you slipped your hands under her arms and swung her up onto your hip with a cheer. When you both finally caught your breaths you made eye contact with your husband who had a scolding look on his face, but there was still a smile twitching at lips at the scene he had just witnessed. “You know she has to be in bed in- 15 minutes!” Spencer paused and looked down at his watch to emphasize his point about how close it was to Diana's bed time. You just sighed dramatically and addressed your daughter “Well, I think your dads right- we gotta get you to bed- it's a school night!”.
After much kid wrangling and only one bedtime story bribe, Diana was sound asleep and safe- leaving you and your husband for some alone time together. After so many years of being together, you and Spencer dont find there's a need to fill the silence you're often draped in.
But that night the silence got Spencer thinking. Thinking about you, thinking about Diana, thinking about the life he's built for himself. If he was being honest with himself he never thought he would be here. A spouse and a child, a house. It was more than 23 years old Dr. Spencer Reid, new BAU agent could have possibly imagined. A spouse, let alone a child.
Those thoughts were even more discouraged when he was kidnapped by Tobias Hankle. Spencer considered that one of his lowest points, he had been tortured and drugged- how could it not be. That's not even to mention the addiction that followed. He was in pieces, mentally and physically. Even after he got clean, Spencer often told himself that he wasn't worthy of children. That he would be worse than his own dad. And without you there to reassure him as you often did after you met, these beliefs solidified in his mind.
“Y/n?” You looked over at Spencer from where you were lying across from him on the couch. Your questioning look was enough of an answer for Spencer so he continued, “did you always want kids? I used to think I didn't deserve kids”. You gave Spencer a look of pity, you hated when he had thoughts at his own expense. And he knew that. But Spencer couldn't help himself.
“First of all, Diana loves you and you're the best father for her- full stop. Second of all, I always wanted kids, I think you did too”. Spencer nodded, he had always wanted kids- it was his mind that told him not to.
“I didn't really start believing that kids were a possibility when I met you”. Spencer smiled warmly when he spoke, his eidetic memory not failing to remember any details from when you first met.
——
Spencer was sat his car that he rarely drove, going to the supermarket, which he rarely did. But it wasn't often that he spiraled into a depressive episode after seeing his girlfriend murdered in front of him, so he thought a change of pace might do him some good. Or more like penelope garcia thought it would do him some goo
That’s how he ended up strolling through the public park on a Tuesday afternoon in april. It was sunny and warm, a stark contrast to the sunken purple bags under Spencer's eyes and the wrinkly shirt that probably should’ve been washed before leaving the house.
But you- in spencers eyes you were a beauty unto yourself, regardless of what you were wearing. That was one thing that hadn’t changed since he met you, and he swore never would.
To be honest, it was by luck that Spencer had run into you; you were with your nephew as babysitter for the day when he started bothering spencer. Needless to say you were very apologetic.
“Tom, no! leave that man alone! i'm so sorry sir, he doesn't mean it”
You were extremely apologetic, ushering your nephew away from the stranger. Spencer was flustered but understanding, red evident on his cheeks.
Skip to a few hours later and Spencer had spent the entire time with you. It was the best Spencer had felt in weeks, like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders.
That night he couldn't stop thinking about everything that had happened; walking around with you, talking with you, meeting your nephew and sister. Spending time with your nephew, it got him thinking. Spencer had tucked away the idea of having kids far into a little nook into his mind, and spending time with Tom dredged it up from the depths of his brain.
Despite still reeling with the death of his girlfriend, Spencer still couldn't get the thought of having kids and being a dad out of his head. It nagged at him all the time, and the thoughts got loud when he was with you. Picturing you as a parent during your coffee dates.
Although Spencer Reid has an IQ of 187, and an eidetic memory, it still took him weeks to realize why he couldn’t get the thought of children out of his head; because he wanted to be a dad. He wanted to care for someone, knowing that they rely on him.
——
“Spencer? Spence?”
Spencer is pulled from his thoughts of when the couple first met by your soft voice. You had a small look of concern on your face at your husband's lack of awareness of the current reality. Spencer hummed in response to ease your worries. “What's got you with that Spencer Reid Far Off Look ™ in your eyes huh?” you asked. Spencer chuckles, and responds, “Just thinking about when we first met… after Maeve died- it's what got me thinking about having kids you know-”. it's your turn to chuckle now, remembering the embarrassment of having to usher away your nephew. Though your eyes held a sympathetic look at the mention of maeve, it would always be a bit of a sensitive subject.
“Ya, we have tom to thank for that. But I didn't know that's when you started thinking of kids- I thought it was later, when you first talked to me about it”.
——
It was 1:03 am, and Spencer was still awake, to be fair he had just gotten back from a bad case. It was always bad when it involved kids, Spencer couldn't get the face of the little girl they couldn't save in time out of his head. Thoughts raced through his head, but he would never tell you about them- after all you had only been together for a couple months. Spencer couldn't risk being that vulnerable with you.
So here he was, tossing and turning at one am over a case he couldn't get out of his head- trying not to wake up the sleeping figure beside him. He couldn't stop thinking about if that little girl had been his little girl. What would he do then? Spencer didn’t know if he could handle having another human rely on him so heavily- what if he let them down. What if he became like his own father, something he swore he would never do.
In all of Spencer's spiraling thoughts he hadn’t noticed that you had woken up from the constant shifting of the bed, which was caused by his  incessant tossing and turning in bed. You noticed the look in Spencer's eyes was one you knew well, it was a look that said the gears were turning a little too fast in that big beautiful brain of his.
But before you could say anything, Spencer got to it first. “Would I- would I be a good dad?” You were caught off guard by Spencer's question, not expecting him to bring that up. But you could tell Spencer had been thinking about it for a while, if the worry crease between his eyebrows was anything to go by.
“I think you’d be a great dad spence- your kind, your caring, you have an amazing compacité to be there for other people, i think especially if it was your kid..”
You speak in a quiet, comforting tone in order to release at least some of the anxiety your boyfriend is harboring. In an effort to punctuate your point you give Spencer a small squeeze on the arm, hoping it would provide at least a little bit of comfort.
Spencer offered a nod in response not quite knowing what to say to his partner's kindness. Instead of speaking Spencer just rolled from the other side of the bed into your warm embrace, which contrasted the cool breeze from the open window.
——
Spencer comes back from his thoughts by the sound of small feet pitter pattering on the hardwood floors. you don't comment on your husband's spacey-ness that evening, instead opting to sit up and find the source of the sound.
Which you find out to be the small feet of Diana Reid, who had woken up from a bad dream and sought out the comfort of her parents. Her small frame struggled to climb onto the large bed, so Spencer lifted her up by her armpits and placed her between him and you.
“Cant sleep?”
You ask though the dark, soothingly running your fingers through her curly hair.
“ya.. i had a bad dream and couldn’t fall back asleep”
Her voice is small, the six year old still a bit embarrassed at needing to sleep in her parents bedroom, but Spencer's calming hand running up and down her back helped ease some of the embarrassment and helped her sink into her loving parents arms.
“That’s okay, you can always sleep in here with us if you want”
Spencer says as he kisses Diana's head, and the little girl is already falling asleep in the couple's arms. Both Spencer and you look down at your daughter, now fast asleep in between you, and it puts a smile on your faces. And you can't help but lean over and place a haste kiss on spencers lips and say;
“You know I told you you’d be a good dad”
you had a bit of a sly smirk on your face as Spencer chuckled, and he responded “I guess you were right huh”. And that's how the Reid family fell asleep, contented in each other's arms.
The End

Warumono x Reader
Spoilers for Episode 7.
Tumblr media
When he said there was a new place he would like to check out, you had a feeling it had to do with pandas.
Everything had to do with pandas with him.
But you were quite excited.
Finally he was going somewhere new besides the usual Zoo.
And you were happy to see when you arrived that this was an amusement park.
"Let's get tickets!" you said as you stood in line.
First, he said he wanted to ride the horsey. Which you didn't question as you stood in line for the Merry go round. You saw him waving at a mother but you didn't question.
Next, you went on the swan, where, once more he was waving at a woman who waved at the children.
But you let it slide once more.
"Let's go to the Haunted House!" you said as you grabbed his hand and walked in the direction of the next attraction.
But of course, the people in there got scared of him, not the other way around.
Then, he pointed at a star ride.
"That one."
"Are you sure?" you asked and he only nodded once before he got in line.
After the spinning thing, you thought he had enough but apparently not.
And once you both got off, he was dizzy, while you were fine.
"What kind of a torture device was that?!" he asked and you laughed, he looked at you.
"Kids like it." you said as you shrugged your shoulders.
Children enjoy this?! - he thought to himself.
Then, the roller coaster, which you personally loved the most.
Then he headed to sit down on a bench.
"I will get something to drink." you said and he just waved at you.
You grabbed two cans of soda but when you turned back, you saw an elderly man sitting next to him, you decided to just watch and not intervene.
When the old man left with their grandchild, you handed your boyfriend the can of soda.
"I know a place you might like." you said and after your finished your drinks, you headed to the Souvenir shop.
Which was an absolute hit.
But then he noticed the capsules.
"Why are pandas imprisoned?!" you heard him mumble before he started to purchase all of the toys and continued to take pictures of them.
"Umm..."
"I must find the panda with the black tail!" he said and started to walk away, you grabbed two of the toys he bought and put them in your purse.
After that, you two went on more and more rides.
But then an employee showed you the way to the panda cars. And of course, it was an absolute hit with your boyfriend, he immediately got on one.
You took so many photos of him riding the panda.
The day ended probably way too quickly. But you did have a lot of fun.
And at the end of the day, he walked you back to your place.
"Oh wait." you said as he turned to leave. "Here, I saved a pair." you handed him one of the panda toys you put away earlier. "Now we have a couple, just like us." you said as you showed him yours.
He looked at the toys and then handed you the one you gave him.
"If they are a couple, they deserve to be together at all times. Yours or mine would get said if they spend time apart." you nearly teared up at his cuteness.
"Thank you! I had a great time today!" you smiled at him as he nodded.
"Have a good night." he said and you headed into your apartment.
If you were honest, you were rather disappointed that he just left without a kiss.
But he was a weird guy, so you didn't expect anything less from him.
---
A couple of days later, he came over to your place, well, you invited him over for dinner.
You cooked some of your favourite, which also happened to be his. So, you sat around your table with the TV playing in the background as you both enjoyed each other's company.
You quickly washed the dishes and you were now watching a panda documentary.
"Can I ask?" you said as you turned to look at him across the table, "Why do you like pandas so much?"
"I find them cute."
"Ah. I see. And why do you like me?"
"I find you also very cute. And kind, and patient, and funny, and generous, and brave, and considerate, and helpful, and beautiful." you smiled at him.
"Thank you. I also like you very much." you both turned back to watch the TV. Not long after you felt a pair of arms hugging you as you were moved back against a warm body.
You felt your heart quicken up as you couldn't concentrate on the TV anymore.
You couldn't believe he was holding you so close.
It took you a long time to get comfortable, but when you did, you leaned back fully against his body, with your head on his chest, you fell asleep.
You knew he was a weird guy, so you didn't expect anything less from him, however, he always found ways to show his appreciation and love.

.. smiles .. pairing. wong kunhang/hendery x female reader, feat. xiaojun genre. angst, smut pov. second person (you, yours, yourself, etc.) synopsis. he fell for the way you smiled for him. wc. 1.3k cw. yandere!hendery, idol!hendery, talk show host!reader tw. cursing, stalking, drugging, pet names (‘my love’, ‘sugar’, ‘darling’), dubcon aspects, infidelity, fingering, slight gaslighting a/n. came up with this idea after watching the episode of unbelievable that hendery and xiaojun were on together.
You talked like you owned the entire room, hands moving in gestures to truly enunciate the sentences you sang out, soft bangs falling over your forehead while you fidgeted in your seat. You were perfect for a talk show host. You had that very distinct presence about you that would make anyone interested in the topic at hand. Something so simple as brushing your teeth could become a conversation starter deserving of an hour’s worth of words.
You were so sweet, too. You’d make the guests on your show seem like their opinions were the most important things in the world. You sure made Hendery feel that way. He was an idol of a few years now, but coming onto this show was the first thing he’s done where he needed to share his thoughts with someone other than his bandmates, one of whom also joined him on the show. Luckily for him, his bandmate, Xiaojun, would cover for him whenever he went silent, thinking that he simply had nothing to discuss on the subject. No, he had plenty of opinions he could share with the hosts. But you were too mind-boggling that he continuously managed to find himself distracted by the way you flipped your hair over your shoulder when it tickled the exposed skin of your arm, adjusted the way your cropped top rested above your belly button to leave just the right amount to the imagination as it matched nicely with your tiny skirt that cut off before it could trail too high up your pretty thighs, hands fiddling with the dry flesh around your cuticles out of semi-nervousness when the attention was all on you.
He found that he adored your smile, the way your entire face would light up when you laughed, pearly white teeth exposing, gums popping out, eyes forming crescent shapes as your cheeks perked up. You were gorgeous when you smiled.
He wanted to make you smile more, laugh more, so he made it a point to speak up more, saying the silliest and most unserious things to get your face to contort in that beautiful way over and over again. He liked it, loved it, when he was able to make you smile, all for him.
And the moment your hand pressed against his knee, warm palm only lingering on the clothed skin for a few seconds, but it left a lasting sensation. The moment you did that, he had completely lost himself into you. He was prepared to dive all in.
As you left to head home that night, you’d see him in the lobby, brushing off his jacket before throwing it over his shoulders, hair sloppily falling over his face.
“Hey,” you called, hurrying your feet over toward him. As soon as his wide eyes met yours, you smiled at him sweetly, “Hendery, right? How’s it going? I thought you and Xiaojun had left already.”
“Yeah, we did, but I forgot my coat,” he rubbed the back of his neck, uncomfortably laughing, “I’ll be going now.”
“Got a ride? I can take you if you want,” you shrugged, knowing he had no ride. That was one of the topics you discussed with him today.
After accepting the offer, he was actually sitting in your car. You stopped for gas on the way there, allowing him the chance to search through your belongings. It was definitely not the most honest thing for him to do, and stealing an empty bottle or a used tampon applicator was an even more dishonest thing, but he couldn’t contain himself. The scent of you was all over the items littering your car, he wanted to take it all. He wanted to take you. But he refrained long enough to get to his dorms.
He couldn’t invite you in, not into the place he was living at. If he brought you inside, the boys would poke fun at him, suggest and speak things that are crude and disgusting, so he didn’t get to bring you inside, sending you on your way as soon as he got out of the car, waving you off. He wanted to cry, slam his head against the wall. How could he not bring you inside? What was he thinking? He could’ve snuck you in, if there’s a way, he could do it. But no, this was the right decision.
Especially considering it wasn’t the last time he’d see you. The next times, however, you might not see him. He found out where you were living – staying at your sister’s for the time being, only until you got back on track with your money, you were waiting for your career to take off. He could take care of you, you should really just let him. But as he watched your beautiful figure dance naked around your room in a hurry to get a pair of comfortable pajamas on, his delusional mind began to process something. You wouldn’t love him in all the ways he loved you. You probably didn’t even remember who he was.
Sure, he was an idol. But you weren’t into those kinds of things. Your head was either buried in a book or writing the scripts and questions for your show. You weren’t listening to his music or watching his videos or listening to his voice, you weren’t concerned with who he was in any sense, no context of him was fascinating to you.
He wanted you to remember him, remember who he was after the next meeting you had.
“Missed me, my love?” he smiled, hands snaking around your waist. Your body tensed, but soon relaxed when you felt his lips gently kissing along the soft skin of your neck. “Because I know I missed you so fucking much.”
You weren’t yourself, unable to properly feel who you were becoming, what he was doing to you. You didn’t know who it was, had no idea it was Hendery. You didn’t even remember him, he was completely right. When you showed up at your work building that morning, a syringe was injected in your neck before you could enter the front doors, being dragged away to a fancy hotel where now you’re gazing out across the city from a balcony, a random man wrapped up behind you, slowly falling against his touch, too touch-starved to say no to the desperate need to let your body give in. Not to mention the fact you thought it was your loving boyfriend, the man who you so badly wanted to spend the rest of your life with. He vowed to keep sex off-limits until marriage, and when he proposed, you were ecstatic that you were getting closer to that marriage dream of yours.
Still feeling the effects of the burning fluid seeping through your veins, you slurred, “Waiting for marriage?”
“Forget that,” he groaned into your ear, nibbling on your lobe as his hands trailed along your perfect body, deciding to play into your little delusions.
“You sure?” you gasped, feeling a harsh hand slip down your pants, touching you delicately with every hint of love in the way his fingers moved inside you.
“You’re gonna remember me after tonight, darling,” he spun you around, butt pressing against the edge of the railing, eyes meeting yours. He saw the moment you noticed who it was, the moment you realized it wasn’t your beloved fiance. “You won’t be able to forget me again.”
“Wh-what are you-” you started, squirming in his grasp, body being stricken with panic and fear at the sight of the unknown man before you. You didn’t have it in you to pull his hand out of your pants, fingers still curled up into you, causing your mind to fuzzy more and more with each movement of his wrist.
His voice was quick to cut your whined words off, cooing sweetly, “Where’s that smile I’m looking for, sugar?”
You couldn’t speak, head spinning as it fell back, nails digging into his shoulder to keep you stable against the railing.
“Don’t you like this?”

Need I say more?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think the people, objectively, have spoken.
if I were to add in my opinion you’d see that I contributed a few fanfics to the mix
Main reason for my dislike of White Knight: I hate Jaune and Weiss is my favorite character, so I think she deserves better. I know some people won’t say this is a valid reason but Jaune originally and currently isn’t written very well. You basically have to give him his own episode to flush out his plot line, (like in the first season and every season afterwards where he’s important) and he’s not a main character so he takes up screen time. (They do the same with Oscar and the rest of JNPR Instead of doing a JNPR episode, they do each of them individually with sprinkles of plot in between) Honestly, a relationship between him and Weiss would be a bad idea. Case in point:
Volume 1 White-knight Moments:
Jaune unsuccessfully flirting with Weiss (+1)
Volume 2 White-knight Moments:
Jaune unsuccessfully flirting with Weiss (+1)
Volume 3 White-knight moments:
… PYRRHA! (-1)
Volume 4 White-knight moments:
… (No interaction; no points awarded or deducted)
Volume 5 White-knight moments:
Jaune does a common courtesy and saves Weiss’s life (does not count; he would react the same for anybody- ‘nO hE wOULdn’T’ shut up Victoria if any of your friends were dying you’d save their life) [+0.5]
Volume 6 White-knight moments:
Volume 7 White-knight moments:
Volume 8 White-knight moments:
Volume 9 White-knight moments:
Weiss admires Jaune over the fact that he’s mature, and supports him like a good friend after Ruby runs away. He reverts to his old form, and we never hear from them again. (+2)
Total score: 3.5/9 (trying to be generous, I really am)
Main reason for liking Whiterose: Enemies to friends to lovers is an adorable trope, and they get a lot of screen time together in the first few seasons. Also, Monty himself shipped them. While I won’t say Whiterose is objectively better than White Knight, I am going to say that when I include my own opinion, it is better. Weiss and Ruby’s relationship feels more like a slow burn than Yang and Blake’s. We get scenes that could be interpreted that way in almost every season since Volume one. Let me go through them, and to show how unfair this is, I’m not allowed to add more than 1.5 points:
Volume 1 Whiterose Moments
Ruby and Weiss are off to a rocky start, but slowly warm up to each other as time goes on, and they get closer. They have a mildly, could-be considered romantic moment where Weiss makes Ruby coffee so she can stay up to study. (+1)
Volume 2 Whiterose Moments
In the food fight, Ruby dramatically catches Weiss when she falls and pretends to cry over her. (Not really much, but it’s something). Ruby and Weiss consistently pair up to get things done throughout the season, especially when looking into information about Cinder. (+1)
Volume 3 Whiterose Moments:
Supporting each other when Winter gets there (that is Volume 3, right?), excellent teamwork in the first stage of the Amity Arena battle, and Weiss’s concern for Ruby when she disappears. (+1)
Volume 4 Whiterose Moments:
Thinks about each other, but otherwise, nothing. (No points awarded or deducted)
Volume 5 Whiterose Moments:
Weiss remember’s Ruby’s coffee taste. While this could be something any friend does, they spend time together, reflecting over beacon, and Weiss helps Ruby’s sister Yang through an implication that she’s doing it for team RWBY, but especially their eccentric fluffball of a leader. (+1.5)
Volume 6 Whiterose Moments:
Ruby saves Weiss on the train, Weiss saves Ruby in the battle against the mech, and they spend time together in the village with the grim. I should give two points here but I’m loyal to my word. (+1.5)
Volume 7 Whiterose Moments:
Ruby and Weiss sitting together during training, and Weiss supporting Ruby when the team splits up. (+0.5)
Volume 8 Whiterose Moments:
Supporting each other all throughout the volume by working together, and acting as teammates and partners. (+0.5)
Volume 9 Whiterose Moments:
Ruby supports Weiss after her being upset about the fall of Atlas. (Jaune’s interaction with Weiss, -1 point- would have been two, though)
6/9
In any scenario, Whiterose wins. Im sure other people could come up with reasons to disprove me, or say I’m biased (I am, this is in no way objective), but these are the things I saw with my own eight eyes because I own three pairs of glasses, and heard with my (admittedly failing) teenage ears.
I’m sure I’ll get flak for this from both sides of the shipping community, because admittedly, the RWBY fandom can be toxic (but it’s almost any fandom at that point) saying I either graded White Knight too harshly or I gave too many or too few points to Whiterose, and I also did all of this off the top of my head, so I apologize for my many mistakes. I have two last statements:
Rosegarden: 0/9
Oscar is 14 and Ruby is 17. If I, the same age as Oscar as of 2023, would not date Ruby at that time, it’s probably wrong. When it comes to relationships for younger people, it’s best to avoid age gaps larger than 2 years. It’s also best to avoid relationships altogether until you can at least go for a learner’s permit. I rest my case.
edit 3: alright, some people have corrected me on the age part, apparently he’s fifteen. I don’t hate Rosegarden, but something about Ozpin and Oscar being the same person makes me really uncomfortable (again, as someone who is younger). Thats the only reason I didn’t give it any rating- it just feels too close to, well… I don’t really have to say it. Especially when the whole point of things is that Oscar and Ozpin are becoming the same person.
Bumblebee: 8/9
It’s canon, bro. It does feel slightly forced at times, but they’re a strong couple who supports each other and helps each other through trauma. You go girls, lesbians all the way (insert lesbian pride flag here)
edit: got someone sending in a message about neither ever going to be canon. You’re right, but thank you so much for crushing a high schooler’s hopes and dreams. Have a nice day
edit 2: I prefer icerose over whiterose but I’ll get what I can take (canon ruby x ice Queendom Weiss). This is just an overall argument.

A rant about Aang and Byrke
WARNING NOT KATAANG FRIENDLY
CONTINUE WITH PRECAUTION
Hello my loves!
Here I'm with a new blog entry.
This time we will talk about Kataang, Aang and Byrke.
Since I'm writing a FanFic where Aang is paired with an OC, I thought I could tell you why I prefer Aang with OCs instead of Katara.
Just to be clear.
I like Aang.
I love Katara and would for this girl sell my liver.
But them together as a pair...please no!
Kataang is one of my NOTPs.
In my Let's Talk about Zutara post I pretty much said why I can't stand this pairing.
One is the age and maturity gap.
What does a 14-year-old want with a 12-year-old? It's just creepy, no matter the gender and it would have been better if they got together at like 22 and 20.
Even if I think Zutara is superior, I could grimly accept Kataang.
Second Aang and Katara are the worst version of their self together.
I haven't read the comics, but what I saw on Tumblr and on Legend of Korra was enough to make me angry.
Katara was reduce to Aang price, girlfriend, housewife and mother of his children.
The warrior girl we all loved, who never turned her back on people who needed her, became in the name of love (and Byrke) a shadow of herself.
Our real Katara would smack this wishy-washy version of herself to kingdom come!
Then we have Aang. The boy clearly turns into a Nice GuyTM when it's about Katara.
He kissed her TWICE, TWICE, without her consent and never said sorry for this.
He thinks he deserves her love because he is the Avatar (the hero) and that's how it be.
Till Season 2 Aang wasn't that worse about Katara, a lot of plotpoints pointed out that Aang obsession, I'm not calling it love, on Katara was not good.
He replaced the love for his people with Katara.
Erm, that's not healthy at all.
What Aang expierendec was traumatic, he is the sole suriver of a genocide, but he can't shove all his love for his people to Katara.
How can only one person hold this standards?
It's impossible.
Katara is a bandaid on a ripped arm.
A bandaid isn't going to fix Aang trauma.
He needed to really face it and accept it and let Katara go.
Guru Pathik told him he to let Katara go, but I don't think it was meant to say, don't love that girl anymore.
No, it was more like: you clearly are obsessed with her and think if she loves you all your hurt will go away, but this isn't the case!
Aang could still love Katara, he just needed to stop to put her on a pestal!
Then we know what happens, he let's her go, seems to get the Avatar State, but turn it down because Katara is in danger and he must save her.
Alright, we all would run to our loved one if they are in danger, but Aang, you are the Avatar.
The Avatar is the peacekeeper of this world.
Sadly he can't put his own desires forward, he has do to what was for the world right!
In the Crystal Catabombs he realizes this.
So he let's go of Katara to get the Avatar State and then gets shot down by Azula.
Then when the first episode of season 3 rolls around, you get the feeling that Aang learnend his lesson.
Because he was selfish, he lost his greatest eapan.
He needed to be better.
Only...after the first episode season 3 was really...bad.
I can't say it better.
If you compare it to the other two seasons...season 3 has mayor problems.
A lot of plotpoints get forgotten, Aang didn't learn from his mistakes, he acts entitled for Katara love and he gets his Avatar State back thanks to Deus-Ex-Machine Rock and even finds a way to handle Ozai thanks to Deus-Ex-Machine Lion Turtle.
How, HOW, did the creators look at this and want a golly what an awesome final?
It was not!
It was rushend and not earnend!
Because Aang is a selfinsert from Bryek.
They statet once in an interview that Kataang was reflection how they had a crush on their babysitter, who of course didn't wanted them and would go out with the "bad boy".
The bad boy here in question is Zuko, which is hilarious since Zuko is the most awkward dork.
So they wanted to create a story were the young hero gets the hot older girl.
No normal 14-year-old girl would date a 12-year-old and if she did call the police on her ass!
Avatar was only amazing because of writers like Aaron Ehasz, who turned Toph, who was supposed to be a boy and a love rival for Aang, into this badass girl who didn't let her disabilty stop her to become the greatest earthbender and inventer of metalbening in the world.
They truned Iroh into thee loveable and wise uncle and not like Byrke wanted into a spy for Ozai.
Also Azula was supposed to be a boy too, but she became the female villain we all loved and wish we would see in other media's too!
A lot of writer wanted also Zutara to happen and not Kataang.
If I remember right season 3 was so rushed and lacking because the movie-who-shall-not-be-named was in production and Bryke wanted the series to end before it.
A lot of concept were thrown out the window for it.
The writers wanted to make even a season 4, where Aang would even find other airbenders, but noooooooooooooooo we can't give Aang the healing he deserves, we must live out a fantasy trough this boy.
Looking at you Bryke.
Anyways we got, what we got and I'm so not happy about it.
Zutara should be canon and Aang should have found a girl who loved really, who was his equal and who didn't needed to be a broodmare for the air nomads, becasue there where still air nomads around.
Here we get back to my preference to ship Aang with OCs. Since I'm a big fan of the theoretical season four we would have gotten, it's only naturel to imagine own characters, since no canon characters exist for it.
I would have loved to see Aang with a descendant of Air Nomads. She learning from him, he learning from her, cute!
But let's be real if Aang is writing good he could work with a lot of characters.
Even canon ones like On Ji. I found her really cute with him.
The only thing I want for Aang partner is that the girl doesn't get reduced to a broodmare.
So the airbenders have always to come back/stop from hiding.
IT'S NOT THE COMPLICATED!
BUT WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS!
WE LIVE IN THE DARK TIMELINE!
AVATAR COULD HAVE BEEN THE MOST REVOLUTIONARY CARTOON EVER, BUT NOOOOOO TWO MEN HAD TO MAKE THEIR WEIRD FANTASY REALITY AND DIDN'T LISTEN TO THEIR TEAM OF WRITER WHO WERE LIKE, FAM THAT'S NARRAVTIVLY SPEACKING HUGE STEPS BACKWARDS!!!!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!
Yeah, I think you all guessed how much I hate Bryke.
Fricking pricks!
Also, people who make fun of their own fans because they ship a pairing themselves not like are the worst!
That shows have much respect they have for their fans.
Zero.
They just wanted to live out their fantasy and be done.
Again, fricking pricks!
So for now, that's from me, I needed to get it out of my chest.
Till next time my loves!

We put these two together because they both have such open hearts, yet they seek acceptance. They'd be a great pairing because they can give that to each other. Without even meeting each other there is so much love to be given, I can't wait to see how this one goes.
"Oh wow, Rori... you look stunning," Aurora's best friend Isabelle gasped as she saw the red head do a little spin in her white gown. The dress rested off the shoulder, a daring plunging neckline accompanied by a sheer quality to the dress as it flowed downwards, flowers cascading across the skirt of it.
"Thanks Belle," Aurora hugged her best friend tightly, giving her a quick kiss on the cheek, careful not to smudge her light pink lipstick. She went for a glowy natural look, which made her fair skin stand out even more in contrast to her bold hair colour. "Lu, what do you think?" she saw her younger sister, Luna, barely able to hold back her tears.
"I-i..." Luna trailed off, not knowing what to say as she stared at her gorgeous older sister.
"Aw, don't go soft on me now, Lu, you never cry," Aurora held her hands gently.
"I'm just so proud of how far you've come, it's so nice to see you happy again, full of life," Luna spoke sincerely. She had seen what her sister went through and couldn't bare for her to be in that dark place ever again.
"Bless you, come here," Aurora cuddled her, before pulling away, "wait where's Oliver?"
"Your mum's looking after him, don't worry," Isabelle reassured the bride, all of them chattering in the dressing room before guests began to arrive.

"You got this hyung!" Lucas, Chan's younger brother and best man ruffled his hair. Despite their big age gap, it was the younger than inherited the height genes, so he had no trouble looking down at the groom and teasing him.
"Aish! Stop, stop," Chan giggled, trying to adjust his hair but giving up, as his dad stepped in and did his best to help out.
"We're all so proud of you, Channie, I know we weren't sure of this experiment at first, but you've got to go with your gut, ok? Whoever walks down that aisle-" Chan's dad began speaking, before Chan cut him off, having already had this speech/pep talk a lot of times.
"-deserves all the love I can give. And I deserve the same back. I know, dad, I know," Chan smiled and nodded, looking in the mirror to see one strand of his black hair flying loose but it actually looked quite good, in his opinion.

Soon, more and more guests pulled up to the venue, your classic church. It was tall in stature, and had beautifully presented stained glass windows not only seen from the outside, but from the inside too from where you sat. People filled the seats on both sides, white flowers lining the edges of the pews. The guests whispered excitedly as they heard the first pair of footsteps confidently walk down the aisle.
From Chan's side of the church, he saw his mother and sister, Hannah, for the first time that day, and they were smiling at him encouragingly. His mum did seem quite emotional too at the same time. As he turned to his bride's family, he gave a friendly wave and a smile.
"Hi, I'm Chan," he grinned, a lot of women sat near the front especially, one lady in particular who he assumed was the mother of his bride returned his actions, warmth and approval in her smile.
Then came the next sets of footsteps.
Arm linked through her father's arm, Aurora, kept a big smile on her face yet took a deep breath to calm her nerves. She was excited, sure, but she needed to make sure it stayed that way. She wouldn't let herself talk her way out of this one.
The Bahng family muttered amongst themselves, Aurora blushing lightly as she heard lots of 'wows' and some gaps too.
Time stopped when the couple's eyes first met. Her ginger hair drew in Chan immediately, her chocolate brown eyes, rich and smooth in colour. Aurora smiled at him brightly as she stood opposite him, nose scrunching up as she did so, half in disbelief at how handsome Chan was and that she was about to marry him. His black hair gelled to one side, one strand elegantly astray. What nearly made her laugh was the way his mouth was hung open slightly, cheeks sucked in by the smallest amount and showing off his dimples.
"Well, hi," Chan laughed breaking the silence. Both families watched on with smiles, happy with who their relative had been paired with.
"Is this real?" Aurora laughed and shook Chan's hands in her own as they both let their nerves slip away.
"I think so-" Chan went to nod back at her, before a small, young boy came running out of the aisle, and tugged on Aurora's dress.
"Mummy! Mummy!"

Now this pairing will certainly be interesting, I can't wait to see how this dynamic plays out. Dallas has a lot of energy and has been open about her ADHD and needing a calm presence with her, and Jeongin is exactly that. He knows what he wants in a relationship and he wants to do all the cute dating stuff, he wants to experience love again, this could really tick all of Dallas' boxes.
"I don't know why I'm so nervous all of a sudden," Dallas had her leg jolting up and down, her mum gently holding her hands to stop her from wanting to bite her nails.
"Calm down baby, you look great, you are great and your husband will be great too, yeah?" her mum tried to reassure her.
Just then the makeup artist came back to redo some eyeliner after Dallas had been so shaky and fidgety that it had smudged across the side of her face earlier on.
"Come on, baby, deep breaths, yeah? He's gonna love you, that's what marriage is all about. You may not be doing it the conventional way but that love won't chance, he'll be a lucky man," Dallas' mum calmed her down further, holding onto her daughter's shoulders from behind as the makeup artist got to work. Her hands gently traced circles into the lace details at the top.

"Ahhhh!" Jeongin whined throwing his body weight back into the chair as he realised what he had just done. Having a glass of wine before walking the aisle was his idea, yes, but maybe he shouldn't have drank a glass of red when he has his white shirt on. There was bound to be something going wrong.
"Bro... Aish what are you like? Good thing I brought a spare shirt for you," Jeongin's older brother pulled him out of his seat and shoved the fresh shirt in his arms. "Now, get dressed, better yet, finish that glass before you out the new shirt on, you're so clumsy," he chuckled.
And Jeongin nodded, laughing along too. He slipped his stained shirt off and quickly downed the rest of his glass, pulling a satisfied smile after as he shrugged on his new shirt and buttoned it up quickly.
"You're a lifesaver, hyung," Jeongin sighed in relief, relaxing back into his original chair.
"I know," his older brother smirked.
"Yah!"
J.D 🤍 J.D 🤍 J.D 🤍 J.D 🤍 J.D 🤍 J.D 🤍 J.D 🤍
The venue Jeongin and Dallas got married at was stunning. There were fairy lights all lit up under a huge, white gazebo. It was pitched up next to another one which everyone could only assume was for their fine dining later on in the day. There was a clear path up the aisle, and as each person arrived and took their seats, they found a small gift in the mini bouquets prepared by the bride herself, Dallas. What better way to show a piece of who she is from the very start?
Once Jeongin had made it up the aisle, he was stood nervously, unable to make eye contact with Dallas' family and he could only clasp his hands together tightly and stare down at his shiny shoes. Her family didn't mind though, they could tell he was sweet and had kind intentions.
Dallas began to walk up the aisle, doing such a great job on her own until she stumbled a bit, managing to catch her balance but feeling bashful as she covered her cheeks.
"They're perfect for each other," Jeongin's older brother laughed under his breath as he observed that his sister in law was clumsy as well.
The two singles grinned shyly as they made eye contact, and Jeongin grinned widely, eyes starry.
Dallas on the other hand was trying to hold back her words from tumbling out, she had just met him and already had so much to say.
"Oh wow, you're gorgeous," Jeongin however, was the first one to get his words out, making Dallas follow immediately after she made a cute squeaky sound.
"Ah, wow, umm, thank you, you too," she blushed and bounced on her toes excitedly.
C.A 🤍 C.A 🤍 C.A 🤍 C.A 🤍 C.A 🤍 C.A 🤍 C.A 🤍
It was now time for the vows, and back at the church, it was a tense moment, Aurora going pale as she didn't quite know when she was going to bring up the fact she had a son, and now, that had been done for her. She saw the way Chan's eyes widened and she debates running out of the venue. That was until Chan crouched down.
"Hi little one," he grinned as Aurora's son peeked round the side of her dress and waved shyly at Chan.
"That's Oliver," Aurora said shakily, and Chan could see she was nervous and knew exactly why, squeezing her hands.
"It's ok, it won't change anything, ok?" Chan calmed her down, making Aurora feel relieved as she nodded feeling reassured, and she picked Oliver up, gave him a kiss on the head and sent him off to sit with his grandmother, her mum.
The priest made sure everyone was listening before getting the pair to read out their vows.
"I promise to support you and be by your side in every moment of our future together. I promise to be the support you may need throughout our lives in sickness and in health, through thick and thin. I will give you my all, as long as you give me all of you too, because that's all I could ever ask for," Chan sweetly said his vowels, speaking the traditional words after as he placed a ring on Aurora's finger.
"Before in my life, I've found it hard to trust the right person, but I come here with open arms, hoping you'll be the reason I won't have to worry anymore. I want to be that person for you too. I've already got one boy to take care of, and he's very important to me," Aurora paused gesturing to her son with a wave before continuing, "so I hope you have space in your heart for the two of us, just like we've already made some room for you."
J.D 🤍 J.D 🤍 J.D 🤍 J.D 🤍 J.D 🤍 J.D 🤍 J.D 🤍
Back in the gazebo, Dallas couldn't help but request to speak first.
"Ok, so, umm, I promise that if you're around me, I'll always try to make you smile. Even though sometimes I may be a lot to handle, I will authentically be myself around you. If you're struggling through hard times, I will be there for you, with my happiness, my care, and hopefully my love," Dallas quickly shoved away the piece of paper she read from back into her dress, and placed a ring onto Jeongin's finger.
"I'll do my very best to be the husband you've always wanted, and I hope that I can make you happy. We've only just met each other, but from here on out, I will take care of you, and stay by your side, and you'll have me fighting in your corner all of the time," Jeongin promised Dallas, before slipping the other ring onto her finger.
C.A 🤍 J.D 🤍 C.A 🤍 J.D 🤍 C.A 🤍 J.D 🤍
You may now kiss the bride.
Aurora and Chan had gazed into each other's eyes for a moment before sharing a sweet kiss, lasting a couple of seconds. Jeongin and Dallas, however, had been more shy despite their excitement, and quickly picked each other on the lips and looked away with smiles on their faces.
These pairs are a match made in heaven. How long will they last together in the experiment?

I desperately want oblivious!Buddie to play out for just a LITTLE longer so we get some “off-screen” gems. As in, absolutely bonkers events and quirks that we don’t currently know, but slowly find out before the boys figure THEM out. Such as Buddie grocery shopping together, Buck knowing Chris’ (AND Eddie’s) SSN, Chris having Buck’s phone number memorized because he didn’t have a phone when they first met and would call him on the house phone like for the Hildy prank, Chris has called Buck his dad to one of the firefam or Carla, Buck and Abuela have weekly phone calls now that she lives in Texas, Eddie is Buck’s POA (and vice versa), Eddie has a second pair of keys to Buck’s Jeep (Buck doesn’t for Eddie’s truck ONLY because Eddie is a passenger princess and if he’s not the one driving his truck then he just hands his keys off to Buck anyway), as early as late season 3 Christopher was drawing Buck into his family portraits (bonus points if it’s before the well happened), Buck has Christopher’s drawings on his loft fridge, Buck uses the family calendar on Eddie’s fridge too, Eddie specifically doesn’t buy certain foods because Buck has a food restriction that the Diazes do NOT also have (canon vegan Buck anyone?), Buck picks Christopher up from school enough to be known to both the teachers AND administration, they have a shared google calendar that Eddie hates (technophobe) but Buck updates regularly, there hasn’t been a week where Buck hasn’t stayed the night at least once at the Diazes since the lawsuit (yes, even through the divorce arc idc, let me live).
The whole “didn’t know they were dating” thing is becoming more and more appealing to me for Buddie with every passing minute, and I just think it would be funny if we got Hen or Maddie or even Christopher to call them out on little things like this that they do that they didn’t really think hard enough about to realize it was partner shit, not best friend shit. Plus, I know a lot of people want Buddie NOW because of Buck being canonically bi, but I’m still happy to wait a little longer if it means giving both characters the patience and care their stories deserve. ABC making them canon the very first season after the network switch WOULD be iconic, but given that I’ve been both ecstatic and nervous about Buddie after last Thursday’s episode, I think they should pace it. Give them both full realizations about their sexualities, a lil crisis about it for each too, maybe a different man or two before each other, the jealousy they’re BOTH now famous for, just a pinch more therapy about the shock of it all, and then somebody or something to knock their heads together and make them realize that their partner has been right there all along.
Honestly, I won’t lie and say that some of these aren’t based off of fics I’ve read, but they’re also so basic to Buddie that I couldn’t tell you specific fics, and I also definitely tried to come up with some that aren’t from fics in my memory, but claim them if you want lol, I don’t mind

*A COUPLE DAYS AGO*
“Can I say something like, whenever I think about a father I never think about you, but you were kind of like one and a lot better than my actual father?” You say with a teasing smile even if just under the surface emotional tears threaten to burst out. And your emotions are especially more heightened at the moment because you’re dancing a dance that’s supposed to be with your father, but instead, it’s your brother.
“No,” Satoru shoots you down quickly and looks at you with a pointed look. “No sappy shit at all for the rest of the night. Even if I appreciate it,” he finishes with a grin.
“So,” you add with the same teasing grin. “I can’t say that even if I would have loved a sister I’m glad I got stuck with you?”
Satoru shakes his head and counters. “No, but again it’s appreciated.”
You laugh softly and drop your head to smile at the ground before you look back at your brother and catch him looking around the dance floor with wonder for a moment before he looks at you with an all too snarky grin. “Considering how much you could do for this wedding in a couple of days, I wonder now how your other wedding was. Was it over the top?” He dares to ask. “I remember Suguru would spoil you even if he said he shouldn’t.”
You glare at him and then whisper sharply. “I won’t talk about my other wedding to another man with you right now. It’s bad luck.”
Satoru scoffs. “Where did you hear that from?” He asks teasingly.
“I'm just assuming, I mean we would be talking about my previous marriage on my wedding day, that’s gotta be some kind of bad luck,” you mumble, making him laugh.
“Women and their superstition,” he says under his breath, mostly just to taunt you because he knew you heard him.
“This is why you’re single,” you remark.
“No I’m single because death for me could be around the corner, and even if it won’t catch me, it could get them, so I’m sparing someone actually,” he goes on to say without sounding lighthearted at all. He let himself be vulnerable.
“Death is around everyone’s corner, no one is immortal, not even Sukuna,” you tell him softly now that you have the space to have a heart-to-heart. Even if people are watching you two dance, they can’t hear you, and Satori won’t run over and interrupt either of you—“don’t deny yourself of a happiness you deserve just because you think you’re doing something good. You don’t actually know anything.”
Satoru scoffs but he doesn’t counter. He knows you’re right, but he does bring up one argument. “You almost died after Suguru died, why would I want to put someone through that?”
You sigh and avert your gaze to share your answer that you take no time to actually think about. You just know grief and loss well, you’re great friends. “Because as selfish as it sounds, at least you were happy. It’s about the memories you made. Sure after death those memories hurt, but after a while, you can look fondly at them and thank the stars that they were in your life, that you got to share your life with them and live together. After a while you’ll realize that they weren’t meant to be in your life forever, they were a chapter in your life you’ll always cherish.”
Satoru lets out a deep sigh, and you meet his gaze and make him laugh softly—but honestly, it sounds pretty forced.
“How poetic of you,” he whispers.
You smile at him and laugh softly.
“Well,” he says softly. “I'm happy you got to meet someone else that you get to write a chapter with. I hope you can share many chapters with this one. And I’m glad Suguru was such a great part of your story.”
You grin and nod before your lips flicker down to a frown and your eyes dull. “Can I tell you something?” You ask in a very low whisper so none of what you’re saying can be heard.
“Go ahead,” he encourages you.
You sigh and hold his gaze to share a secret. “Sometimes I wish I could go back to when I was a naive teenager who dreamed for most of her day and knew hardly anything about the world. It’s only when I’m really down, but I still sometimes want to go back.”
Satoru swallows thickly and sounds completely genuine. “Sometimes I wish the same,” he admits.
You both share a small smile and you can’t help but lay your head on his shoulder and sigh deeply. You stay quiet for a moment after, but before you can finish your dance you break your silence to say one more thing in private. “I want you to write a new chapter in your story after all this is over, Satoru. Let the kids take over and start something new.”
“After I win,” Satoru says softly and confidently. You don’t look at his face, but you know he’s expressing his ever-so-bright and smug confidence. “I will.”
——
*NOW*
A slash to the jugular also doesn’t mean immediate death. You know that too.
So please don’t let this slash on Satoru’s throat be deadly.
“Gojo!” Yuji yells out mere seconds after you with just as much panic as you currently feel riddling your heart.
“Come on,” you mumble and step closer to the screen in some hopeless delusion that you could be closer to your brother.
Nevertheless, seconds later steam rises off Satoru’s slash as he uses RCT to mend his flesh back together.
“He’s healing himself!” You exclaim because you forgot that it was a possibility in your panicked state.
“But as long as he remains within Sukuna’s domain, the slashes won’t stop coming!” Higuruma reminds everyone and makes your excitement dim.
Which is good, you can’t get overly excited.
“Sukuna’s domain has no enclosed barrier,” Choso interjects. “Shouldn’t it be easy to escape his range?”
You let out a deep breath and glance over at him past your shoulder before you drift your gaze to Hakari responding. “Even if we assume Malevolent Shrine’s effective range encompasses the area of razed Shibuya, with Gojo’s speed, he should be able to break out of it in a flash.”
“No,” you cut in to explain. “His teleportation is just an application of limitless where the space between his location and his destination is compressed.”
“But in this short window immediately after his domain was destroyed, Gojo cannot use his cursed technique,” Kusakabe doesn’t fail to add what you left out.
“Which means…” Miwa trails off to let Kusakabe answer.
“He’s in one hell of a pinch.”
You clasp your hands together and return to your seat in between Choso and Yuji to try and watch how your brother will go on about destroying Sukuna’s domain while the monster keeps hitting him with slashes he can’t deflect, and has to keep using RCT for to heal all those shallow cuts—that surprisingly doesn’t cut any material of his shirt, or his pants.
What kind of material is his clothes made from?
Regardless! In the blink of an eye, Sukuna hops off the roof and tries to swing his fist, but your brother quickly blocks him.
“You’d think I’d let you run?!” Sukuna exclaims, and you start to wonder why your brother isn’t running or actually fully healing any of his cuts.
“What is he doing?” You whisper out loud.
Choso catches your comment and probes while you watch Sukuna and Satoru exchange swings. “What do you mean?”
You sigh and shift your body towards him, but keep your eyes on the screen to not miss a thing. “His cuts are still very shallow, he can use this time that Sukuna isn’t throwing more slashes at him to finish healing. He can multitask. But he isn’t…” you trail off and start to think of an answer.
Is he going to use RCT to heal his cursed technique?
“He’s up to something,” you mumble to your husband and can’t help but let a small smile creep onto your face.
“That shrine,” Yuji interjects while Sukuna and Satoru face each other after a heated exchange. “What would happen if he destroyed it?” He asks.
“Usually, objects materialized within an innate domain don’t hold any special meaning or importance,” Kusakabe explains, proving to be quite a patient teacher. “You can think of them as if they didn’t exist at all.”
“If that shrine is simply a symbol of the domain, so to speak,” Mei-Mei says, “then you would not be able to destroy it and there would be no purpose in doing so.”
“So he can’t do anything?!” Kirara shouts, “isn’t that like, super super bad?!”
You glance at them and see that they’re grabbing their face and looking completely stunned at the screens.
“New Shadow Style,” Satoru announces, “simple domain.”
A bright barrier suddenly grows around your brother and those deep cuts now start to completely disappear.
“Simple domain!” Kusakabe exclaims and Yuji follows by yelling out in surprise too.
“I thought he said he couldn’t do that?!”
You scoff and retort. “Satoru can do anything he puts his mind to, it’s an annoying trait, but it’s true. He probably just can’t teach it because he also tends to get everything right in his first try.”
“Why the hell is someone like that in charge of the first years then?!” Yuji follows by asking and you can’t actually answer that, so you shrug. He doesn’t really seek an answer so he drifts the subject back to the fight. “He used simple domain to counter the sure-hit effect while simultaneously using reverse cursed technique to heal his body. How is he even able to manipulate cursed energy while he’s still using RCT?”
“Even still against a real domain,” Choso comments while he picks your travel cup off the ground and hands it to you as you leave it forgotten on the ground—“the only thing a simple domain will do is buy you some time.”
He could use the falling blossom emotion technique, it would be the perfect time so why isn’t he?
This is all hurting your head, so you take a long sip from the tea and slide your hand on top of Choso’s, feeling him instantly secure your hold in his hand by squeezing it tight. All the while Sukuna breaks into Satoru’s simple domain and starts swinging.
However, he does miss your brother because he reacts fast, but Satoru’s domain fades away by the second until there’s nothing left to protect him, causing the slashes to hit him once again.
“Told you,” Choso follows up on his previous comment.
You swallow thickly and notice your brother doing another Simple Domain, albeit this time he doesn’t use RCT either…
“Why the hell—Gojo stopped using reverse cursed technique to heal himself!” Kusakabe points out loudly in frustration and confusion.
You albeit look at the screen proudly as your theories are starting to become a fact.
“I told you he’s up to something,” you remark to Choso quietly so only he can hear.
“What?” Choso asks.
You meet his gaze and smirk at him. “Watch,” you don’t give out the surprise you assume Satoru wants to give. “I should’ve bet you.”
“I never doubted you.” He deadpans.
You hum and shrug. “I still should’ve. I could’ve won something like a kiss, or a second to gloat.”
The corner of his lips perk up to a smile and he lifts your hands to kiss your knuckles whilst you look back at the screen whilst Ino argues against someone, but you don’t catch who.
“…Like I said, that's under the assumption he’s using cursed energy normally! Right after using domain expansion, he started using RCT at max output, which consumes twice as much cursed energy! And that’s not even taking into account the fact that Sukuna’s still pouring on attacks!”
Is he forgetting that Satoru Gojo is fighting?! He’s not like everyone else.
Nevertheless, as you continue to watch the fight you notice that Satoru’s second simple domain breaks, and more cuts slash his face. It honestly seems like he’s close to reaching his end, but then in the blink of an eye, he zooms to Sukuna and catches him completely off guard when he jumps on him to wrap his body around Sukuna’s.
“Cursed technique reversal,” Satoru announces and proves you right; he leans back and points two fingers at Sukuna.
“Yes,” you mumble happily and suddenly stand up.
“Can he do that?” You hear Okkotsu shout, which is surprising, you’ve never heard him be so emotional. He looks so reserved.
“That’s why he didn’t heal himself,” you point out proudly.
“He was using his RCT to heal his exhausted cursed technique?” Okkotsu asks rhetorically to the group.
“Red,” Satoru mutters and blasts out a bright and powerful technique that sends Sukuna crashing through his shrine, and finally gets him badly wounded.
Will that affect him completely? No, but he’s still wounded.
“Jeez. What a pain in the ass,” Satoru sass’s Sukuna, making you hold your cup against your chest as you smile brightly.
“Using RCT to heal his exhausted cursed technique?” Okkotsu still can’t seem to grasp what just happened.
“Okkotsu!” Kusakabe yells out, but the boy goes on.
“I’d like to say it’s impossible but the fact is Gojo is doing just that! A cursed technique that’s been burnt out by using domain expansion is an entirely different matter than physical damage,” he explains. “Just like when a machine overheats, even if it isn’t broken, you have to let it cool or it won’t work.”
“So what you’re saying is that RCT can repair damage but can’t cool an overheated technique?” Maki asks.
“That’s why I always thought, but it looks like my understanding was incomplete.”
You sigh and sit back down again, but out of the kindness of your heart, you explain why he’s having such a hard time understanding what Satoru just did. “That’s Satoru Gojo for you. Don’t overwork yourself, man, he’s strong, stronger than everyone, what he can do will never compare to what we can do.”
“Yes,” Okkotsu mutters, “I'm understanding that.”
“You can expand your effective range, can’tcha?” You catch Satoru ask Sukuna smugly.
But as if answering, Sukuna does a hand sign and does exactly what your brother just asked, causing your smile to fall.
“Are you crazy…” Kusakabe’s words trail off in your ears as Satoru expanding his own domain expansion and leaving you all in the dark once again catches you by surprise.
“Does he just want the same thing to happen again?!” Ino exclaims.
“He isn’t that naive,” Shoko defends your brother.
“I see,” Mei-Mei muses.
“He switched the internal and external conditions for the barrier,” Higuruma points out, and Hakari adds on to that piece of information.
“Which means this barrier…”
He trails off and Yuji excitedly picks up where he left off. “…can guard itself against attacks from the outside!”
You clench your jaw and lean forward to watch every screen carefully to look for any crack or difference in the barrier since that’s all you can look at as of now.
“Seems a bit unfair that he can just change the conditions of his domain on the fly,” Kusakabe mumbles.
You’re really starting to hate all these domain expansions! They leave you completely in the dark, you can’t see what Satoru is thinking and planning, and what Sukuna might be scheming. You can’t see if Satoru might miss something or if he needs some kind of aid, you have to wait, not long, but at this very moment time isn’t kind, it’s determined to torture you by moving slowly.
But you also know you shouldn’t let yourself feel so tortured, it hasn’t been long at all since the fight started, and there’s hopefully still so much more time to go.
Satoru has gotten wounded but he hasn’t hit the brink with no return. Sukuna hasn’t even tried yet either, which means there’s still a lot more stress to go through, and you can’t let this affect you as much as it is.
“Do you need to step out?” Choso worries over you.
You meet his gaze and shake your head. “No, no. I just need to remind myself that he’ll be okay.”
Choso nods. “He is. He’s done great so far.”
You sigh deeply and let those words repeat in your mind so you can hold onto that hope and not push yourself to a dangerous edge of deep anguish.
“There isn’t just one way out of a domain,” he adds to try and calm your nerves. “Not for strong sorcerers like them.”
You knew that but you still need to hear it from someone else.
“Either of them can break it without meeting a catastrophic end, or your brother can be a smartass and have something up his sleeve…not like he has any.”
You can’t help but snort and crack a smile at his silly comment, making the corner of Choso’s lips tug on a faint smile because of the fact he could make you smile.
“They are taking longer,” you point out and glance back at the screen still displaying the black barrier.
“I don’t think it’ll last much longer,” he says.
You take his hand again and he interlaces his fingers with yours before he tucks them in his sleeve as he hides his hands in his large sleeves, and slouches down to rest his elbows on his legs.
The pictures on the screens are at a standstill for a few more seconds before the barrier explodes, and Satoru finally shows up back to back with Sukuna.
“I should have bet you,” Choso remarks.
You glance at him and smirk before you lean over and press a peck on his cheek. Instead of pushing yourself back to your spot you stay pressed against him and watch the fight continue on screen.
“Take it from the top, eh?” Sukuna brings up something neither of you understand, and then hits Satoru with multiple slashes that harbor so much strength that your brother goes flying back.
Again, you can’t stress yourself over every wound your brother gets, and or every hit he receives, but you really can’t hold back from feeling anything but panic and stress. Just like when you watched Choso fight Kenjaku, only you weren’t expecting his babies then or married to the man.
You can’t even imagine being in your current state and having to watch a similar situation with Choso now. You’d probably die from a lack of air in your lungs, or die from a collapsed lung because of how heavy you feel it. Or your heart would explode. Either or.
“Why?!” Yuji bellows.
“Looks like Sukuna’s also changed the conditions of his domain somehow!” Kusakabe points out.
“Hey,” Kashimo cuts in with blunt honesty. “If he dies I'm going out there next.”
You clench your jaw and snap back. “Shut up.”
“You can’t try and stop me,” he thinks you’re trying to defend him, but that’s the furthest thing from the truth, even if you do consider him a friend.
“No,” you spat. “Stop talking like if this is the end. Satoru has proven he can take what’s thrown at him.”
“Hm, well he’s also gotten pretty close calls, I wouldn’t bet all my money on him, he’s proving to be a losing bet.”
You draw in a deep breath and get ready to argue, but Choso gives your hand a gentle squeeze and leans forward to shake his head.
You take that as a sign to let it go and only listen because your brother is still standing…And Choso is also right, Kashimo is not worth your time.
“I learned this one when I was a kid,” Satoru interjects and omits a technique you’ve used before, and one you wanted him to use; the Falling Blossom Emotion technique—“I haven’t used it much since I mastered my domain, but not bad right?”
You lean forward and manage to catch Kashimo’s gaze like you wanted and shoot him a smug smirk.
“Falling Blossom Emotion!” Kusakabe yells out and slightly startles you.
“What is that?” One of the students asks.
“Dunno.”
“Not sure.”
“No idea.”
“It’s weird how in the know you are Acchan.”
Yes, how does he know a secret art form?
“It’s a secret art of the big three sorcerer families,” Panda explains to the clueless ones before you had a chance to—“an anti-domain technique. Not so secret if you knew about it Kusakabe.”
You hum and continue to explain how it works while you still look at Kusakabe suspiciously. “It’s an application of cursed energy that automatically repels anything you touch. It won’t work against Satoru’s infinite void, but if you’re up against a simple technique like Sukuna’s slashes then it’s pretty damn useful. It saved my life against Kenjaku because it doesn’t tear apart like a simple domain either.”
“But you won’t come out unscathed,” Choso adds. “Remember, you only managed to get spared from getting hurt because Tengen broke Noritoshi—Kenjaku’s domain.”
You sigh and nod. “Right. Still, It’s useful.”
“Exactly,” Shoko agrees from across the room where she can smoke without letting any of the fumes hit you—“it’s enough and Gojo can heal his burnt-out cursed technique with RCT. At the very least he’ll buy enough time to heal.”
Or…not considering he proceeds to open yet another domain expansion.
“Damn,” you groan and feel a grip on your throat tighten.
Plus this time the domain grows a lot larger, as if he’s trying to capture Sukuna's entire domain range within it. But then he switches up his domain and it grows incredibly tiny, consuming all of Sukuna’s domain, and making that weight on your chest only get heavier.
And again you can’t push yourself to a brink, you’ll only freak out and that won’t be good, so instead of waiting again you get up and pass Choso a quick comment, “I'm going to get some air, I’ll be back.”
He stands up immediately, but you grab his bicep and assure him. “I’ll be okay, I just need to calm myself down.”
Choso seems hesitant and like he’ll ignore you and follow you, but he actually listens and lets you go outside by yourself.
And as much as you despise solitude you actually find a moment of peace where you don’t feel like your head will explode.
Maybe it’s the silence or the fact that you’re not overwhelmed with thousands of screens, or surrounded by multiple people. Which, you never mind being around so many people, but today with your stress everything’s a bit overwhelming.
However, when you look out at the city past the balcony, you can’t help but feel a bit…not scared, it’s not fear you feel upon looking at the secluded city, it’s disbelief.
The city used to be filled with people but now it’s all been evacuated due to the fight. It honestly makes it feel like it’s the end of the world. Which is chilling and brings forth a hint of loneliness, but also curiosity.
Is this how your world would be without non-sorcerers?
It’s kind of lovely…
Nevertheless, you turn to face the door and just look up at the white sky and get startled by your phone ringing. When you check who it is your breath hitches when you see Larue’s name on your screen.
“Hello?” You answer nervously as you think the worst. “Larue?”
“She’s fine,” he says right away since he hears the fear in your voice. “They all are.”
You let out a deep breath and now feel a bit puzzled as to why he’s calling. “Are you okay?” You ask. “Did the flight get delayed?”
“No, no, I’m just calling to let you know…” he pauses and exhales deeply before he continues. “I’m returning to Japan with Miguel. And before you ask, Manami, and Toshihisa stayed with Satori, and they will all be protected by the guards.”
You blink repeatedly in disbelief and can’t even answer right away because of how thrown back you are.
“They’ll all be fine, but now you have to fight harder to go back to Satori,” he says nonchalantly.
“You left Satori?” You ask because when you meant that you trusted your family to take care of your daughter you only meant Miguel and Larue, not Manami or Toshihisa.
Sure you know that they’ll probably be safe in Africa nonetheless, but Manami has little patience for kids, and Toshihisa doesn’t feel that much responsibility for taking care of kids, he acts like her brother, and they fight together!
“I know I’m sorry I told you something else, but I knew you’d protest otherwise, and you’d want to keep Satori here,” he explains. “Besides, Miguel wouldn't agree to fight without me. He says it’s better to fight with more friends.”
You rub the bridge of your nose and let out a worried sigh. “Of course, he’d say that,” you finally muster something else. “Just…I wish you would have told me before I sent my daughter away, but,” you groan and clench your fists. “There’s nothing I can do about it now,” you mutter to yourself.
“Why can’t either of you just talk to me?” You ask with annoyance. “First…” you trail off and let out a deep breath.
“I’m sorry, I know this doesn’t work in our favor, but think about this, who better to take care of your daughter in a time like this than family? She’ll be fine.” Larue speaks softly and kindly to try and comfort you. He tends to do that all the time.
“I told you she’d be mad,” you hear Miguel tell Larue. “You should have told her before.”
“Quiet.”
“Well,” you mutter and turn your fist to look at your nails. “It seems we'll fight together now.”
There’s nothing you can do now.
There’s nothing you can do now.
There’s nothing you can do now…
“If!” Miguel cuts in from the other side. “There's a chance Sukuna will be dealt with before it’s our turn to join, so, if we join, you’ll fight with us.”
You let out a deep sigh and nod. “Yes. If. Still…if I’m not there be careful, if I am—”
“We'll fight with all we have like we always have, for Suguru and for our family,” Larue inputs, making you lift your eyes and look at the white sky with a softened look.
“Yes for our family, Suguru, and Nanako, and Mimiko,” you repeat quietly. “They’ll be avenged today.”
“They will,” he says confidently at the same time the door opens behind you; and thinking it’s Choso coming to check on you, you peer back.
However, to your surprise it’s Kirara.
“Larue, I have to go,” you cut off your conversation and look back ahead. “I’ll see you.”
“Be careful, and I’m sorry again.”
Larue hangs up first letting you put your phone away to turn and face Kirara, noticing they have water bottles in their hand.
“Is everything okay? Are you feeling fine?” They immediately worry.
You smile brightly and nod. “I'm fine, I just needed to catch my breath.”
Kirara lets out a relieved breath and grabs at their chest. “Good,” they say breathlessly. “I saw you come outside and I got worried.”
You smile with appreciation and approach them to grab their shoulder and press your reassurances. “I'm fine Kira. There’s still so much that’s going to happen so I thought a break would somewhat calm me down.”
They hum and hand you water. As you take it they grin brightly.
“About what’s going on, I would have come sooner but I wanted to wait to give you some good news,” they add with growing excitement. “Satoru managed to break Sukuna’s shrine, and he wounded him! Which might be nothing in the grand scheme of things, but it’s process, don’t you think?”
Finally, Satoru managed to probably scrape Sukuna, and get rid of that ugly open domain!
“It’s something,” you agree with Kirara. “Thank you for that. I needed to hear it. Now how are you feeling? I need to ask before I don’t have the chance to.”
“Me?” They point at their chest. “Well, to be honest, worried for Kin, you, and the rest of my friends, but mainly Kin. And you. This is much bigger than Egypt or anything we’ve faced, Kin can die…I’m scared he’ll die.”
You sigh and watch the agonizing grief already take root behind their eyes. Nothing has happened to Hakari, but Kirara still fears for the life of the man they love. You can relate to that kind of fear.
“Yeah, I know what you’re feeling. I’ve had the bad luck of living through that fear more than once. I can’t say it’s easy. And it won’t go away until you see them breathing after the fight…and if something does happen…” you start to be honest so they know what they might face. So they can somewhat prepare for that blow to their soul.
“…You will die a little, it’ll be agonizing going on without them, you won’t know how to live, but…it won’t be the end,” you admit softly, seeing their face twist with horror because even if they like to hear you say the truth, hearing this truth is hard.
“You’ll relearn how to live,” you continue. “The color will return to every corner of the world, and your grief will be a scar. You’ll find that time will heal what was broken, and…” you pause and smile softly at them. “Those you least expect will help you realize that it isn’t the end.”
Kirara swallows thickly and looks down with a sad frown, but then they seem to realize who you’re referring to and smile. Yet you don’t see it so you quickly interject. “I’m not trying to be negative, I just…”
“I know,” they cut you off and finally show off that smile to you. “You just want to prepare us. I understand. I admire it.”
You smile softly and continue with the other matter to bring up something more positive. “Kinji is strong, he’s got luck on his side. He’ll be fine.”
They tighten their hold on their water bottle and let out a deep sigh. “Yeah, that’s what I keep telling myself.”
“I believe in the abilities you and Kinji possess, and your unbreakable spirits,” you add sweetly and cup their shoulder again. “You will preserve. He will too.”
Kirara pats your hand and offers you a soft smile. The door proceeds to open and this time Choso is the one that shows up and calls out your name with panic before he throws out his concerned filled question. “Are you okay?”
You meet his gaze and nod. “Yeah, I’m fine. Just needed some air.”
Choso still studies you to make sure, making Kirara grab your hand to put it down before they step back and excuse themself. “I’ll get back inside. If you take longer I’ll come back to update you master.”
“Great thanks!” You nod and watch them leave before you put all your attention on Choso. “You know when you fought Kenjaku, when I was watching you on that screen Tengen put up, I could barely breathe. I felt the exact same way I’m feeling now. Only ten times worse. That’s how I knew I loved you, how I knew I couldn’t live on without you being by my side.”
Choso’s face grows a deep red and his hardened expression falls, letting a happy gleam twinkle in his eyes.
“When I was watching you while I waited,” he shares his side of the story now. “I was going crazy. Besides being angry at Kenjaku and wanting to go kill him, seeing you there was driving me crazy.”
You smirk and approach him to close the gap left between you and cup the sides of his neck. “I hate watching this fight. Just like I hated watching you fight,” you say.
Choso grabs your cheeks and nods softly. “I know sweetheart. But hey, I’m with you. I was the one fighting the last time, but I’m here now.”
You let out a shaky breath and nod in comprehension before you slide your arms around his neck and muzzle your face in the crook of his neck to feel comforted by his warmth, and feel secure by his tight embrace before you have to go back and continue watching your brother fight.
“Can I tell you something?” Choso interjects seriously as he rubs your back.
“Hm.”
He sighs deeply and continues without breaking that serious demeanor. “My brother who has a stutter is in prison.”
Oh? Is he using your trick on you?
“It’s just heartbreaking knowing he’ll never finish his sentence,” he finishes and you hear the pride in his voice.
You pull back and see a faint proud smirk on his lips, which only makes what he said that much funnier, and makes your heart skip a beat before it flutters after hearing his pun that he most likely learned just to cheer you up.
And it worked, you smile widely before you drop your head on his shoulder and laugh.
“That’s just so messed up,” you murmur.
“It really is,” he agrees before he grabs your shoulders to step back and face you. When he sees your amused grin he can’t help but smile in awe.
“That one was the quickest one I actually understood. The other ones took longer,” he admits before he brushes his thumb over your lips that are pulled to a smile, and leans in to press a gentle kiss on them. “Do you feel like going back inside now? Or do you still need time?” He then asks.
“If I stay longer I'll be tempted to listen to another joke and just go on and tell you the ones I know, so let’s just go,” you say and take one of his hands to return inside.
Yet before you can walk past that door, you lean over and press a peck on his cheek. “Thank you,” you whisper in his ear. “That really made me feel better.”
Choso smiles bashfully and turns his head at the same time you do, letting your lips meet for a short kiss before you return inside.
——
*A COUPLE MONTHS AGO. EGYPT*
“I wonder what this says.”
Without looking at what the students are referring to, you share the story behind all the hieroglyphics carved on the walls. “To summarize, it's about a man loving his wife so much that he couldn’t fathom going on a second without her after her death, so he killed himself so they could be wrapped away in the same sarcophagus...” you trail off quietly and peer over at the sarcophagus of the man and woman.
How loyal and in love was that man with his wife that he chose death over continuing to live on because she would no longer roam the earth.
How stupid too, but how envious do you feel as well…they never spent a day apart after they married, and they never spent a day apart after death. Their love is endless now that it’s forever marked in this pyramid…
Your love for Suguru will always be marked within Satori, but that isn’t enough.
Are you a terrible person to admit that? To say that a child born out of love isn’t actually enough to commemorate your love for Suguru, because no matter what, he will always be gone now, and every time you look into her eyes you will remember who you couldn’t save.
“You know how to read hieroglyphs, master?!” Kirara snaps you from your stupor.
“No,” you deadpan and twist around to point your flashlight at their face. “I read up on the history of this pyramid after we were told we had to come here.”
Kirara flashes their light on you with their lips formed to an ‘o’ and whispers. “That makes a lot more sense.”
You can’t help but muster a gentle smile before you move down to admire more of the work carved on the walls. “Their children built this after their death,” you muse and hear stone scraping against the ground; and as if a sixth sense you interject right away as you sense trouble. “Put it down Hakari, we’re here on a mission not to be tactless grave robbers.”
“How does she even know?” You hear him whisper as he puts down what he has in his hand.
You smirk and choose to leave the question unanswered for a dramatic flare.
“Besides we have enough to deal with, we don’t want to get cursed now do we?” You tease and spare them both a glance before you walk along the wall to continue admiring the art.
“I’ll welcome whatever cheesy love-crazed curse they cling onto me,” Hakari remarks smugly and cracks his knuckles.
You look down at the worm cursed spirit wrapped around your neck and share a judgy look like if you're your best friend.
“Well,” you scoff and smirk. “We’ll be your smirking revenge then,” you murmur.
Hakari chuckles loudly after you didn’t think he’d catch it, and your cheeks grow slightly hot. But you’re filled with more pride than bashfulness because he laughed at something you said without having to be forced to do it.
He and Kirara usually tend to joke with you and appreciate more of your brash humor than your puns. Nanako and Mimiko have reached that stage in their lives where you aren’t that funny to them. Where they once used to find you hilarious now they can’t stand any of your jokes, it’ll pass, but hearing your students find you funny is…refreshing.
“We should keep going, the sooner we find the curses the sooner we get out…”
“And explore,” Kirara blurts exactly what you were thinking.
“Exactly,” you praise them and look over your shoulder to flash them a grin.
“You know, considering that you and Tsukumo are special grade, I never thought you’d be so laid back,” Kirara says, making Hakari scoff and retort.
“We know Satoru can be lazy when he’s not working, why does this surprise you, Kira?”
“Well Satoru is Satoru, and Tsukumo and our master are different. I just thought they’d be more serious on missions.”
You make no effort to walk out and instead walk over to where the sarcophagus is to admire the details still visible on the stone, whilst Hakari slowly makes his way to the entrance of the next passageway you’ll take.
“It’s because we’re special grade that we’re so laid back in missions,” you share honestly. “We’re risking our lives more than others, especially those who hire us, why can’t we enjoy ourselves while we’re out?”
“Hm…well that sounds smart,” Kirara says.
You turn and face them with a smile, realizing at that moment that Hakari was already out of the room so finally decide to do what you said and walk out, followed by Kirara.
And up until now you never knew how fast of a walker Hakari is when he wants to be because you can barely catch up, you have to basically jog to catch up to him.
“Hey, what’s—”
Kirara cuts themself off when Hakari puts his hand up to shush you both.
“What?” Kirara whispers out.
Hakari looks over his shoulder and you notice the seriousness in his gaze now so you lose all your awe and amusement and fall serious too. After you quickly focus on trying to catch if it’s cursed spirits he caught, you see just that, a terrifying amount of cursed energy up ahead just in the dark room past Hakari.
“I’ll follow your lead, you two,” you remind your students since you brought them along to train. “We could call Yuki and the twins, or plan something ourselves.”
Hakari and Kirara meet each other's gaze and brainstorm in silence for a moment, making you turn your flashlight off and just focus on the cursed energy the curse radiates.
But wait, there’s not one curse there’s multiple…Which shouldn’t be all that surprising, why wouldn’t a pyramid made for passionate lovers be cursed? They probably cursed it themselves without knowing.
And if there's multiple just past the passageway, how many are multiple exactly? And why are they ahead and why weren’t they where you just came from, hm?
“The way we came from must be the way out,” Kirara interjects exactly what was on your mind. “So the curses ahead will probably not be aware of us until they see or hear us, so we could surprise attack and gain the upper hand…”
“…but if we attack, does that mean somehow there’ll be more? We haven’t quote on quote triggered any alarms, they could be unaware and only be active when we trigger their defense system, so what if there’s more hidden in the shadows, and attacking these fuckers only triggers more to come out?”
You sigh and nod softly. “That could happen, and…” you swallow thickly and feel a grip around your heart. “We would expose Yuki and the twins…”
It’s not that you don’t trust Yuki, you trust her more than anything, but this place doesn’t have a fortified foundation anymore and it’s hundreds of feet tall and made of stone. This can all easily crumble down and bury you and everyone else with it. That’s what worries you.
But they are paying you to get rid of the curses that haunt this pyramid, so how can you do this without making a mess?
“Kin…master?” Kirara whispers out for your attention.
“Hm?” You probe and look over. And the moment your eyes land on them you see that two huge beetles have made their way on their arm and shoulder.
“Stand…” you gag at the sight of their creepy legs and bug-like bodies. “Stand still.”
You flick your fingers to flick off the one on their shoulder by manipulating a small whirlwind. Next, you aim your fingers to flick the one off her arm, but it starts to crawl up so your aiming is off and instead of swiping it off swiftly, the beetle bounces up and hits their mouth, causing them to squeal out.
Hakari quickly leans over and puts his hand over their mouth and pushes them against a wall, whilst you freeze and drag your eyes out to the danger, hoping they didn’t hear, but they did; snaps echo in the room and then instead of some kind of messed up figures you see glowing white cloudy eyes all staring at the three of you.
“Shit,” you hiss and slowly lift your hand to prepare to shoot fire.
However, suddenly they all start to sprint towards you, and since you’re in a narrow passageway they can easily overwhelm you. And even if there’s a lack of air and water inside, you still have a lot of stone and sand, so to buy you time, you stomp your foot on the ground and thrust a fist up to lift stone off the floor and make a wall to block them from reaching you so fast.
“We need to find enough empty space to face them, this will buy us time to run before they break out and come and find us. Come on,” you urge them and lead the way back to where you came from, finding yourself back in the tomb room, but since that space isn’t as spacious you plan to move on.
However, just before you can make it out, the people carved on the walls pop out from the walls and grow tall, and have the same cloudy white eyes, followed by rotting appearances that make them look like unwrapped mummies.
One of them catches you off guard and lunges at you, causing you to yelp and stumble back, and bump into the sarcophagus.
This makes the corpses suddenly stop what they’re doing and take a second before they all suddenly screech loudly, making Kirara and you cover your ears.
“What did they do?” Hakari asks with concern.
You don’t try and answer because you don’t know, instead, you push the students behind you and throw your hand out to engulf every single corpse in flames that is born from your cursed technique.
Yet even if your cursed technique exorcizes them all, that doesn’t stop the ground from starting to violently shake, which in turn causes the walls and ceilings to start crumbling and dropping dirt and small rocks.
“It’s coming down,” you murmur in disbelief as you snap your head in the opposite direction because you hear multiple distant footsteps approaching rapidly—“and the others are coming. We have to run and take care of them outside. Go!” You bellow and push them ahead of you first.
Hakari leads the way, and you don’t proceed to run into any obstacles in the way, but that’s because you're running through passages that aren’t marked with stories, or paintings of people. You’re running down an empty hall with a falling ceiling that you barely catch with the help of you manipulating the air within the room to keep the ceiling from collapsing on all of you.
“Go!” You shout sharply so they would understand. “There’s only so much air in this room, and soon there will be nothing. Go! I’ll catch up.”
Kirara shakes their head and they quickly argue back. “No! We can make it out together!”
The other curses are approaching fast, you can hear their footsteps get louder, and this ceiling is only getting heavier to keep up as more stone falls on it.
“If I drop this the entire room falls before either of you can make it out, but I can hold it up and walk out alone. I can’t move air through all your lungs, just mine, you’ll die. Go!”
Kirara steps back and this time Hakari hesitates to listen to you, after all, he hasn’t told you but you have changed his life. He felt believed in because of you, how could he let a mentor like you go?
“Kinji Hakari,” you scold. “I’ll catch up soon and we’ll fight together.”
He draws in a sharp breath and lets his eyes linger on you for a moment.
“Kinji,” you shout.
Said man turns sharply and runs away with Kirara, letting you use more air to hold up the falling stone.
However, you can’t say you won’t welcome death. Because you will.
Oh sweet death, how tempting is your offer because there in your realm is him, Suguru Geto.
He will welcome you with open arms and you can be with each other for the rest of eternity because it’s true, you can’t live on without him by your side.
“I’m sorry,” you mumble to the image of Satori, Nanako, and Mimiko as you get ready to drop the stone weighing you down to also drop it on the curses only feet away now.
However, like shining white lights of hope, Hakari and Kirara return to the hall with their breaths held since all the air in this room is either flowing through you or being used to hold up the stone.
“No, what are you two doing?!” You panic.
And since they can’t answer they simply ignore you, and they work together to use their cursed energy and punch through the floor, making it all suddenly crumble down and pulling you with it.
Since you lose your concentration when you’re falling, the stone you were holding up falls too, but unlike you, it stops when it hits the floor you were on. Some pieces fall with you, but thankfully not enough to crush you.
And thankfully you don’t fall to your deaths, you hit some solid ground not far below the previous floor. Your body does instantly hurt at impact, but you’re all alive. You’re alive, Hakari and Kirara went back for you. They didn’t have to, but they did.
They went back for you…
Why—no, you know why, you’re their mentor, but you didn’t think they cared so much as to risk their lives for you. You wanted to die, but they risked their lives and saved you…
“Master!” You hear Kirara yell before they get on their hands and knees and crawl over to you. “Are you okay? Did you get hurt?”
You drift your eyes over to meet theirs and with lingering disbelief, you nod slowly.
“Why?” You can’t help but ask. “Why did you go back?”
“I know, I know it was stupid,” they defend themselves and Hakari. “But how could we let you take all the risk? You’re our mentor! We care about you! You’re special to us.”
You blink repeatedly and hold back tears even if your throat starts to sting.
“Yeah it’d be pretty stupid to let you die,” Hakari interjects. “Where could we find another mentor like you?”
You sit up and snap your eyes to him and offer him a faint smile.
And for the first time in a while, you feel a bit of your broken heart heal. Whereas before it was like you were left with scabs over your broken heart, now it’s actually mending as you realize that it doesn’t have to be the end.
——
*NOW*
“What’s going on?” You ask the group of attentive sorcerers as you return to your seats.
“Gojo’s nose is bleeding,” Yuji lets you know.
You look at the screen and in fact, do see a dribble of crimson blood running down his nose. Which means he’s probably exhausting his technique and his head.
And Sukuna hasn’t even used any of the ten shadows yet…damn.
“Domain expansion,” Satoru and Sukuna say simultaneously.
“Again,” you mutter.
And just as you came back too!
“They activated it at the same time!” Yuji points out.
“Which means Sukuna can restore his burn-out technique with RCT after all!” Angel interjects, making Kurusu speak after her.
“But has he been able to do that all along, or did he just figure it out?”
“How many times have we said the word cursed technique today?” Yuji muses, making you look over at him and laugh softly.
Yuji catches your reaction and can’t keep down his smile.
“Within the three minutes, it takes for Sukuna to destroy Gojo’s domain from the outside…Gojo needs to damage Sukuna to the point where he can no longer maintain his domain,” Kusakabe mentions really melancholy.
“Let’s not talk as if Gojo’s on the ropes,” Shoko argues. “If Sukuna is drawn into unlimited void for even a few seconds, he’ll be incapacitated.”
Your attention piques and you can’t help but chime in hopefully. “Exactly and if he’s able to destroy Malevolent shrine within three minutes Satoru will win.”
It’s really some high hopes, but you trust Satoru more than anything.
“You really think so?” Yuji asks with doubt laced with fear.
You draw out a deep breath and turn your head to meet his gaze and nod with a confident look to comfort his nerves. “I know it. It may not happen right now, but I know it’s possible. Not only because Satoru is strong, but Sukuna is overconfident. In a situation like this, overconfidence can lead to your demise with a simple mistake you make.”
Yuji’s eyes return to the screen to watch the black barrier floating in the sky. “Hm, I have noticed overconfidence leads to mistakes.”
“Not that it’s bad, it can be a good thing to be overconfident, you just can’t leave out any details, do you get what I’m saying?” You explain yourself and lean towards him. “Like you can’t doubt the weakest player, always think like they have something up their sleeve even if they don’t. Be aware.” You say and then lift your head to speak loud. “That’s why I beat Kusakabe in a card game, he doubted my skills!”
Yuji looks over and Choso’s eyes snap at the man you dragged in the conversation.
“You cheated!” Kusakabe shouts back, making you look at Yuji and shake your head.
“I milked him dry, he's just a sore loser. Get over it man it’s been two months!”
“You’re already rich, why did you need more money?” Kusakabe grumbles.
You shake your head and cross your arms over your chest. “It’s not about the money, it’s about the gloating I got to do afterward. And it’s about winning too.”
“I told you that you shouldn't have played against her,” Hakari interjects with a smirk.
You smirk now too and catch Kusakabe grumbling. This time you can’t counter because the domain breaks and both men are sliding back on their feet when they land. Only one has his face wounded and that’s Sukuna.
Way to go Satoru!
“Again simultaneously!!” Kusakabe shouts.
“Keeping us on the edge of our seats,” Mei-Mei says.
“I mean, this is just…” Choso trails off.
“Any more of these domains and one of them will give out,” you say and drop your hands to lean forward and slouch.
“Satoru needs to—” Choso cuts himself off as those two damn words are announced again.
“Domain expansion!”
You let out a frustrated huff and lean back to grab Choso’s hand since you’ll be left in the dark again.
“Just now!!” Okkotsu exclaims as the domain turns small again.
“Ah,” Higuruma utters.
“What's up?” Hakari questions Okkotsu’s outburst.
“Maybe, just maybe Gojo expanded his domain an instant earlier?” Okkotsu says.
Hopefully. Just hopefully.
You sit up as you can’t handle your nerves and use your other hand to pick up the cup and try to drink your tea. However, you’re too worried so you just put it against your lips and watch, while Choso tightens his hold against yours to provide as much comfort as he can at the moment.
Nevertheless, only a couple of seconds later the domain breaks and your heart sinks a little when you see the Zenin’s pride and joy, Mahoraga looking down at your brother.
“No,” you gasp quietly.
“Cursed technique reversal,” you hear your brother try to counter, but Mahoraga seems to easily deflect that technique and swings down his mighty blade and breaks the ground Satoru jumped away from in time.
“What?!” Satoru exclaims.
“That’s Mahoraga!” Someone exclaims.
“So that’s the crown jewel of the Zen’in clan,” Mei-Mei muses with what you detect is awe.
Awe for a beast that can—
You don’t even want to think about it.
“It’s a shikigami with the ability to adapt to any attack,” Choso says.
“You’re saying it was even able to adapt to unlimited void?!” Yuji blurts his question.
“Of course, it can,” Mei-Mei responds, making you draw in a deep frustrated breath before you clench your jaw and your hands.
“He’ll get rid of it,” Choso tries to assure you. “I’m sure of it.”
You shake your head stiffly and contradict the hope you just shared mere minutes ago. “No, you don’t know that,” you snap back. “You don’t know anything.”
You slip your hand off Choso’s and stand up to continue watching the fight in your fuming irritation.

THE FIVE DAYS OF SMUTMAS QUEUE: DAY FOUR
Christmas Eve- Mike Schmidt x gn! reader
ALLLLLL RIGHT! Merry christmas eve to those who celebrate and happy sunday to everyone who doesn't! I do celebrate, however, and I also absolutely adore mike schmidt despite how minimally I've written for him, so I decided to compensate with a little bit of christmastime smut.
This fic, if it's not already obvious, is for audiences of 18+. Minors go away pls, I have a couple of fics in other genres for mike and do not want you here for this one.
Fic type - this is a little bit of fluff because it feels like most of my fics for this event have had angst undertones! I wanted to change it up a bit and mike deserves a bit of fluff so I went with that!
Warnings - body worship is very much implied, being coerced into sex is mentioned once
Tumblr media
December had never really been an easy month in Mikes life. Christmas always ached without his brother around, hurt all the more after his mothers death and hurt his wallet when Abby started getting old enough to remember the gifts she got, but then you came around when Mike was twenty five and you were twenty four and two years out from finishing your masters degree in journalism.
Ever since you'd come along, in the five years since that fateful day at a job where Mike had, amazingly, managed to last six months, things had felt distinctly easier for him.
They were easy enough that, when his father asked to have Abby over through Christmas Eve and some of Christmas Day, after he'd asked Abby if she wanted to, he'd told his father yes.
They were easy enough that smiles came easily to his face and he stopped worrying about cutting costs where he could in the lead up to Christmas shopping, though he still did cut costs somewhat so as to make sure you got a gift that was more than just a bottle of the cologne he used because you adored the way he smelled.
Decembers had become so easy that the tension in his shoulders that always arised within that month had not come since he was twenty six, you'd been living together for six months, and it was your first Christmas together.
However, at twenty-nine and thirty, you're experiencing your first Christmas as a couple without a child in your vicinity, and Christmas Eve takes on a surprisingly normal tone.
Mike goes to work because his boss needs him there and he could use the time and a half. You stay at home, tidy up the living room and then the kitchen and then the bedroom that you share.
You make a list of things that are needed around the house and then go to whatever Christmas markets are open in New Orleans, nipping into one of the open charity shops and grabbing a copy of Stephen Kings novel "Cujo" before you're heading to the animal shelter to help out for an hour.
Once home, you take a second to make sure the tree still looks decent before you head to your bedroom and slip out of the clothes that you'd chosen to wear--a white cable knit sweater and a pair of wide legged jeans with the solovairs that you'd bought on a whim three years prior and had adored ever since--and into clothes that you steal straight from the source. The top left and right drawers of Mikes dresser.
You steal a pair of his boxers and one of the baggier shirts that he owns, surprised to find it's a little baggy on you as well, and settle into bed for the remainder of the day, content to spend your Christmas Eve evening just relaxing with your book and whatever episode of whichever sitcom decides to grace your television screen.
Mike comes home at something like seven thirty, grinning when he sees the state you're in.
"Ordered Chinese," he says. "The restaurant was pretty full when I went but I was told it'd be free if it was delivered more than an hour after I ordered it, so we have a bit of time to waste. Is your book good?"
"Dog with rabies," you shrug. "It's--it's Cujo. Would've read something like A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens but if I'm honest, I am in fact so vain that I chose not to grab it from the charity shop I visited after running errands at the Christmas markets that were open today based on the fact that the cover was ugly."
Mike laughs. "The cover of Cujo aint much better, baby,"
"This is a first edition, thank you very much," you let a bit of sarcasm drip through your tone before you can help yourself, which is something Mike has always liked about you. He's found, in recent, that optimism is indeed nice but sarcasm where applicable will always take the cake. "If it's ever worth much, it could buy us lunch or maybe a week of groceries."
"So you don't like it, then?"
You shrug. Mike sits on the bed. "Dog with rabies," you murmur, setting the book to your right as Mikes hands find your hips. Yours find his shoulders and when you kiss, it's so full of love that it's almost unimaginable. Your kisses have always been that way, always good, never anything less than that. When you kiss Mike, you do it knowing he loves you deeply and that you love him much the same.
When he pulls away, he's looking at you with the same look he always gives you whenever all he wants is to feel you pressed against him, feel his lips against your own, his hands on your hips as he thrusts inside you and encourages you with enough praise to make you boil.
"We've got the house to ourselves," he murmurs against your lips. One of your hands goes to his hair. "I did spoil you with what I grabbed this year, sure, but I got a Christmas bonus. Plus, it's been so long since we've had the time, baby."
You pull him into another kiss and Mike laughs contentedly into it. He leans into you, hands slipping under the shirt you'd stolen from him.
"I love you," he murmurs, lips moving away from yours to press kisses across your jawline and down your neck. "I love your thighs, baby, and your arms, and your stomach, and your stretch marks."
You adjust your neck, turning it slightly to allow him better access. "I love your voice, I love your hands, I love the way that you look in one of my shirts. I love you so, so much, Y/N."
You let him break the kiss to pull the shirt over your head, tossing it somewhere in the room knowing he'll relocate it later.
You realize, really quickly, why Mike is being so sweet.
It's not to sweeten the deal or to try to coerce you into sex--Mike isn't that kind of person. He's made it clear time and time again that either both of you want it or neither of you do--but because he knows how work has been for you.
Work has been terrible. You've been getting a couple of good stories--including one about a run down pizzeria with too many animatronics to count--and it's gotten really competitive with the holidays.
But your news station would be closed until the 31st, and you didn't need to worry about competing with your coworkers anymore. And Mike knew that, but still, he was being sweet because he knew you needed him to be. You needed praise and a bit of extra attention, so he would provide you with both.
You lay down on the bed and let Mike kiss you all over, taking his time with you like he would've early on in your relationship. When he takes off the boxers you'd stolen he laughs, kisses your hip and calls you a thief of amazingly ethereal proportions.
You let yourself get lost in how good his touches, his kisses and his sweet nothings feel, moan when he starts doing all the things that drive you insane and love him for moaning at the way that you scratch his back, breaking the skin but not drawing blood.
And then you're fumbling for a condom, kissing Mike deeply as you roll it onto his length, pulling him as close as he can be as he bottoms out in you and waits for you to adjust.
"You're amazing," he says when he starts thrusting. "You're so good to me, Y/N. I don't deserve you, yeah? I don't deserve someone who treats me this good."
"You do," you're shocked that you're able to speak, so blissed out from the way that he feels. "You deserve me, Mikey. Please don't think otherwise. Love you so much, Mike. Wanna make sure you know that while you treat me like I'm some kind of a god."
Mike laughs, quickens his pace just enough. "You might as well be," he says teasingly, pressing a quick peck to your lips.
You're coming around him within minutes of the continued praise and the way that he holds you, and your release triggers his. You both moan out, and while you lay still, staring at the ceiling, Mike throws the condom away.
You go and pee to avoid a UTI, start up a shower. You and Mike shower together, holding onto each other tightly and lovingly while you talk about how much driving you'll have to do tomorrow, make jokes at one anothers expenses and share kisses while you wait for the conditioner to set.
All in all, it's the perfect end to a perfect Christmas Eve.

“There you are,” you found him sitting in the gardens, observing one of the many groves of flowers, intently studying them as if they held the secrets to the galaxy. He turned around at the sound of your voice, a smile tugging up the corner of his mouth, “I should have known that you’d be here and made it my first stop.”
“Hello there,” there was an amused lilt to his voice as he subtly pressed a kiss to your forehead. Unable to stop yourself, you wrapped your arms around him and gave him a hug, “I did not realize I was so missed.”
“Always,” you promised, ruffling his hair and brushing it out of his face, “and where is your young padawan? Hiding not-so-subtly away with the senator?”
“He thinks we do not know, but it is so blindingly obvious it’s a wonder half the galaxy does not know,” he huffed with a bit of laughter before picking one of the colorful blossoms and gently tucking it behind your ear, “perhaps he should learn a thing or two from us.”
“That is why you are master and he is padawan,” your whole face flushed with warmth at his sweet, intimate little gesture, “for now.”
“For now?”
“Of course,” you started to walk around the garden, reaching for his hand so he would join you, “he will not always be your padawan. Anakin is a lot of things, my love, but he is powerful. Perhaps one day he will rival you. I’d say he’s already following in your footsteps.”
“Oh?” he raised an eyebrow as you nodded, “just how so?”
“Taking on a rogue and fearless apprentice of his own, sneaking around with the woman he loves…tell me, Obi-Wan Kenobi, who does that sound like?” you grinned at him, proud of yourself for rendering him speechless for a few moments.
“Ahsoka is much less reckless than Anakin ever was-”
“I don’t know about that,” you both laughed, and a sense of ease and peace settled over you. You liked this - spending uninterrupted, quality time with him…it made you earn for it everyday. Especially when he had to leave for longer missions and all you could do was wait for him to return, “either way, he is much like you. He looks up to you, Obi-Wan, he is your brother. Perhaps we shouldn’t tease him too much and let him keep his little secret for now.”
“It won’t always have to be like this,” you’d sat down on one of the secluded benches and he followed suit, sitting as close to as humanly possible. Obi-Wan reached for your hand and laced your fingers together, studying them as though they were the most precious thing, “things will be different. We will have the family we want, a home we build…”
“I am not holding my breath in anticipation of the future, Obi-Wan,” you rested your head on his shoulder, exhaling softly, “I did not fall in love with you in the hopes of changing who you are, or having things be different. Even if it is always like this, I will not mind. I love you regardless, and nothing will change that.”
“You are more than I could have ever asked for,” he pressed a kiss to the top of your head before closing his eyes and resting his head on top of yours, “I do not deserve you in the slightest.”
“You have a flair for the dramatic,” you laughed, and oh. That sound was one of his favorite things ever and made his whole body vibrate with happy energy, “it is not about deserving. And even if it was, you would be more than deserving of me. The heart is a fickle thing but we do not choose who we love, it simply happens. For what its worth, I am glad my heart picked you.”
“And just how am I supposed to top that?”
“You’re not,” you pulled back from him, moving so you were facing him. You brought your hands to his face, gently stroking his cheek, causing him to lean into your touch, “it’s not a competition. Have I ever told you how handsome you are?”
“A few times here and there I do believe,” he pressed a kiss to your palm, “but I am not opposed to hearing it more often.”
“Oh dear,” you beamed at him, “I fear I must keep you humble before your ego grows too large. I’ll hold my tongue just in case.”
“I will just have to remind you of how beautiful you are, won’t I?” you could have melted right then and there at the sweet sound of his voice, “I have seen many things throughout this galaxy, but there is nothing that could ever match your beauty and heart.”
“Now you’re just flattering me.”
“Hardly,” he insisted, leaving in so his lips were barely brushing against yours, “I mean it, I would never lie to you, my darling.”
“I know,” you closed the miniscule remaining distance and gently kissed him, relishing in his touch and taste, “nor would I to you.”
“One day we will not have to hide,” he was insistent, so sure of what he was saying that you believed him. One day things would be different, and it was all worth the wait. He was worth the wait, “this I promise you.”
He reached for the delicate chain around your necklace, pulling out of your bodice to run his fingers over the ring that lived on it. He had given it to you some time ago, a promise of what was to come, a promise of the future. You hadn’t taken it off since.
“I know, Obi-Wan,” you whispered, “I love you.”
“I love you,” he kissed you again, a gentle need and urgency behind his touch as you easily melded into him.
“Master!” the sound of Anakin’s voice caused you to jump and pull back from Obi-Wan as you gently pushed him to the other side of the bench. There was a huge knowing grin on his face as he stopped in front of the two of you. He had impeccable timing as always, “oh, no need to hide on my account. I already know!”
“What are you doing here, my padawan?”
“We’re needed in a meeting,” you could tell he was holding back an eye roll, “if I must suffer through it, so must you.”
Obi-Wan sighed deeply, running a hand over his tired features as you giggled at him, “go on, my love, best not get in trouble. I will see you later.”
“Alright,” he looked between the two of you before standing up. He stopped for a moment to kiss you one last time before starting to follow Anakin, “I will see you later.”
“I count on it,” you promised, “see you soon, my love.”

Washed Up - Chapter 2
Pairing: Kim Taehyung x Reader; Angsty Fic
Summary: You've decided to audition, but will it be that easy?
You run into old acquaintances from the industry and new enemies.
Author's Note: I'm sorry it's taking me so long to write this, but I'm trying to write more lately.
Warnings: mentions of alcoholism, mental health issues, swearing, general angst.
(previous chapter) - (next chapter)
“Sorry! I’m just so proud of you! It doesn’t matter to me if you do the worst acting you’ve ever done. We are going to get through it together! Oh my god, ok. Ok.” Papers shuffle in the background as she mumbles to herself. “ Ok, so I’m sending the script over to you now. Somebody will drop them off in about an hour. Learn them the best you can and I’ll be over tonight to help you. The auditions are next week and we have a lot to work to do. I hear Song Mijoo is also auditioning. She will be tough competition.”
“Song Mijoo? Wasn’t she that rookie idol that wanted to break into acting? I remember just thinking she was okay but she was so stiff whenever she delivered her lines.” You said into the phone, starting to calm down and make yourself a cup of tea.
“Oh, that’s definitely her. But she’s changed a lot over the years, she started working with that one coach, Kim Minji, that worked with your costar on The Star’s Above, Jiwon.” Rina said, keyboard clacking in the background. She’s likely putting everything in motion as fast as she can so that I can’t change my mind. Wise decision on her part.
“Minji is a miracle worker. Anybody who can make Lee Jiwon actually able to cry instead of having to use any artificial tears deserves to win every award.”  You both laugh at that statement. “Ok, tough competition then, so I’ll need to practice as much as a can. I guess it’s a good thing I don’t have a job.” You say with a chuckle, but it’s a bit empty. You can crack jokes all you want but inside you just feel a huge pit in your stomach.
Were you making the right decision? You didn’t want to mess up and embarrass yourself. Again. And this time you would have to be, painfully, sober. God, this was going to really hard.
Over the 4 days, you read the script and practice the lines. Rina was right, this script did speak to you. It’s about a woman, Eunji,  who was trying to get back into her career and life after years of being a wife to a husband who was negligent. While you lost your career due to your own issues with alcoholism and mental health, you can relate to the her feeling of the loss of her youth and the character’s struggles with her own mental health.
The audition scene is a pivotal part of the show where Eunji has realized her husband is having a child with her best friend. She’s extremely hurt, not just because she’s learning the two most important people in her life are betraying her, but also because she’s never been able to have children, which she has always wanted.
It’s a heart wrenching scene and you just hope that you’re able to portray the feelings you have to, you really want this role and so you start to muster up some feelings from your past. You think about the life you had imagined for yourself when you had just begun in this industry.
You were 16, your mom had gotten you into this high school drama, she had gone to school with one of the producers of the show. You were just an extra with one line in one of the episodes. But then they started calling you back to do other small roles in their other shows. By 18, you had landed your first lead. In a high school drama, you were the main character who was in love with your best friend’s brother. It was a very stereotypical romance drama. But there was a scene in it where you got to show of your dramatic work when the male lead left your character to go study in the England.
After that role you started to book more lead roles and by 22 and decided to take a role about a teacher. The show was an easy one to be on. A show about a teacher who was falling in love with a parent of one of her students. That’s where you met Tae, or I guess V now. He was silly and optimistic. He played a recurring character, he was a teacher who would sometimes be comedic relief.
At first you guys weren’t close, but you could definitely tell he was an attractive man. But you couldn’t date, you had to focus on your career. You were on a fast track to be the top actress in Korea at the time. But then one day he bumped into you, and he was so nervous and cute, which normally wouldn’t have affected you, but then you saw his smile. His adorable wide smile. It’s like all dreams for your future flew out the window and all you could think of was how to get this man to smile at you again.
You soon found yourself searching for him in every scene you did together. You even went as far as asking the writers to make his role larger, pretending that it was just because his character was so funny. He was a very good actor too so it wasn’t hard to pull the strings.
Before you knew it he asked you out, and you knew you shouldn’t but you couldn’t help but say yes to him. Especially after how brightly he smiled at you. It wasn’t much longer until you were kissing him and staying over at his apartment most nights a week. You thought you could live forever in his arms, talking about your goals and dreams.
It was peaceful for a couple months, until a paparazzi caught a photo of you guys while you were getting breakfast after a night you had spent together. Your manager at the time was freaking out and your company had decided the best way to deal with it was to have you deny any relationship with him. They said you couldn’t be seen as the type of girl who was unavailable, not at such a young age. They told you if you wanted to make it, then you had to listen to them. They convinced you that if you weren’t viewed as attractive to your fans, they wouldn’t want to watch you. Claiming that your acting was no good unless he public viewed you as fuckable.  And like a stupid, naive young girl, you believed them.
You snap out of it when you hear Rina walk through the door of your home. She’s holding groceries and walks straight to your kitchen counter.
“I got some dinner, which I figure we can eat right now, but I got us some sweets for when we finish running lines. I thought it would be a nice treat –“ She stops suddenly when she looks at you for the first time. For the first time, you realize that you had been crying. Your eyes were puffy and red, cheeks stained with tears. Rina comes towards you quickly.
“Are you okay? Are you having regrets? We can pull out if we have to. You matter more to me than your comeback.” You smile at her as you shake your head.
“No no, I’m fine. I just was trying to muster up some old feelings so I can connect with the character.” You say, wiping the tears from your face. Rina steps closer and holds you in her arms.
“Ok, well if you decide it’s too much, don’t feel like you’ll disappoint me. I don’t think there is anything you could do that would ever disappoint me.” She pats your back as you feel yourself calm down and like that, you feel like yourself again.
You wipe your face and slap your hands down on your knees, making a loud slapping noise. “Ok, let’s eat and then get to work. I still have a long way to go.”
--
Days of working every minute on your craft, Rina had helped you film your audition and send it in. It took a couple takes, but you selected the best one. You didn’t want to look, but you forced yourself to, as Rina sent it off. You felt like a boulder had been lifted off of your chest. You felt relieved, and almost hopeful.
Some days passed and your anxiety began to grow as you waited for a response. You knew this could take some time, but you just wanted it to be done already. Did you make it to the next stage or was all of this a mistake. You had to keep reminding yourself to not get so negative, but after being out all these years, it just doesn’t feel right to be confident.
A week after you had sent in your tape you were cooking lunch for Rina and you were going to bring it to her office. Both of you were single so you did couple things together, like going to paint classes, picking up groceries together, and sometimes you made her lunch. She was an awful cook, so you offered to cook for her most of the time. You guys don’t live that far apart so its easy to pop into each other’s homes. You have keys for her apartment, as does she for your home.
You enter the building through the back entrance they give to celebrities who don’t want to be photographed. I feel the air change as I step into the office. I see the secretary look at me and look away with a grin. Oh no… I didn’t get it and now everybody is laughing at me. My stomach drops. I was so stupid to even try for it. I should’ve known that I lost my touch. I try to avoid contact with the rest of the workers as I make my way to Rina’s office. I take a breath before I open the door, prepping myself to face disappointment.
When I open the door I’m shocked. Rina has a cake and pops the cork on the "champagne" in her hands as she sees me walk in.
“Congratulations you talented bitch! You made it to a chemistry read! You’re this much closer to getting back into the industry!!” Rina shouts while jumping up and down. You feel a smile creep onto your face as you watch the 30 year old toddler. Did you really do it? Is it really happening? What happens now? Will you be able to prove yourself again, or will you fail again in front of everybody? Your smile drops as you start to spiral. Rina immediately senses what’s going through your head and rushes over to you.
“Hey, it’ll be alright.” She pats your back “Just breath in.” You listen to her. “and breath out.” And you do. “It’ll all work out. I have a feeling that you’ll get the role. I wouldn’t have presented it to you if I didn’t think that you’d be able to do it. But ____ so much time has passed, and look how quickly you fell into it again. You’re a natural, and you’ve been doing this for years. It’s like riding a bike.” She says, comforting you.
You wipe your tears and laugh “ That’s not relatable. You know I don’t know how to ride a bike.”
She laughs at your joke. “Ok, that its as easy as breathing. Acting is like breathing for you. I know because I’ve seen it. You are talented, so talented and so strong that I know you can get this role and get back up onto your feet, and even if you don’t get this role, it doesn’t matter because there are so many other projects that you would absolutely kill it in.”
She’s right, this role is everything, but also nothing. Your life wont end if you don’t land this part, this audition is just your first step out the door, your first toe back into the pool and once you make the plunge, there’s no going back.
--
The next week you arrive to the studio where you’ll be doing your chemistry read. Rina asked who you would be doing the read with and they said it would be the second male lead for now. An idol who is making his acting debut names Jungkook. You’re doing one of the scenes where your character has to reject the second male lead, a man who is higher up in the company but younger than your character. Unfortunately for him, at this point in the story the character has started to fall in love with the CEO of the company, who is also her best friend’s older brother that she has known her whole life. But she has gotten very close with the second male lead, as he has helped her transition back into the work place and they have become very close friends. So the scene is very emotional because they both want to be there for each other, but know that they aren’t on the same page.
Makeup artists touch up your makeup and hair before you sit on a stool in front of a camera. Behind the camera is Rina, several producers, writers, assistants, and the director, Min Yoongi. You’ve worked with him before, but he was only an assistant director back then. You’ve remained on good terms with him, the last time you had worked with him was before you became an alcoholic, although it would be hard for anyone in the industry at that time to have not heard what you became.
“____ How have you been?” Yoongi asks while walking up to you, holding his hand out for a hand shake.
“Yoongi, I’ve been doing well.” You say with a slight smile on your face.
“Genuinely?” He says with a concerned look on his face. You know that some people would be offended by this, but you know that he’s a straight forwards guy who just wants to make sure you aren’t going to ruin his project if you land the part.
You draw a deep breath in. “Genuinely. I’ll be candid with you, I’m 6 years sober.” You say, knowing that with him, you have to be honest. It’s probably one of the only things that he truly respects about a person.
With that he offers you one of his signature closed mouth smiles where just the corners go up. “Good, that’s good.” He says giving you a pat on the shoulder. One reason why you guys always got along was that you didn’t have to talk a lot to understand each other. You both were quiet and reserved people who just focused on the work they had to do. “Alright, lets get this started. Taehyung should be here any minute now.”
And like that the breath left your chest. You hear Rina pounce as you feel unable to move.
“I thought she would be doing a read with Jungkook today? That’s what she’s rehearsed for. Why weren’t we notifies of this change?” she says, you see Yoongi withdraw back into himself, clearly intimidated by your best friends protective mama bear side. One of the producers speaks up instead. A younger woman in a classy dress with a neat bob with blunt bangs.
“Jungkook had some idol promotion work that came up and we are running a tight schedule, V was available. Does she want this or not? If she’s truly a good actress like everybody had said she was, then she should be able to read the lines with him.” You can’t help but notice a slight smirk on her face. You can’t help having noticed her ‘was’ when talking about your acting skills. She was challenging you. And you knew you couldn’t disappoint everybody again, you had to prove to everybody that you still have what it takes to be a top star.
Rina starts to respond but you stop her. “You’re absolutely right, Miss…?” you ask.
“LaLisa Manobal, but most people know me as Lisa” she says with an eyebrow raised to you.
“Ah yes, I’ve hear of your work Miss Manobal.” You had heard of her years before. She was an idol from a young age who went solo and had wanted to getting into some of behind the scenes work of making drama. It seems that she’s succeeded now.  “Well, I can assure you that I am still perfectly capable of a simple chemistry read.” You say with fake arrogance. The truth is this wasn’t simple. It was the furthest thing from it. Soon you were going to have to see the only man you have ever loved for the first time since you broke his heart six years ago. ‘
“V’s car just pulled up, they’re bringing him up now.” One of the PAs says to Yoongi. You feel your heart stop, you start to breath faster as you feel your heart beating so loud that you’re scared they can all hear it.
You breathe in. You breathe out. You’ve got this. You practiced this. You worked so hard for this. Breath in. Breathe out.
“You okay?” Rina mouths from behind the camera. You nod. You are okay. Not good, not bad, just okay.
That’s when you hear the door click open, some body guard and managers walk through first and that’s when you see him.
Kim Taehyung. Your Tae. The only man you’ve ever loved.

Ethan
You comfort Alex while she finally opens up about her son
Pairing: Alex Blake x Fem!Reader
CW: mentions of death, loss of a child, typical CM case descriptions, reader insert, includes canon dialogue
Genre: Mild Angst
Word Count: 1400+
A/N: This is a slightly different one. I felt like the topic of Ethan should have been explored more in the show, he deserved more than just a brief mention in the last episode ;-; The first part is heavily inspired by season 9 episode 8 "To Bear Witness".
Tumblr media
This case was a weird one. A young man was found in wandering the streets of Baltimore. The John Doe was transported to the hospital where it was discovered that the poor man had been lobotomized. Unfortunately, by the time the team got there another woman was kidnapped. The whole team got to work the case was solved in a heartbeat. Fortunately, the woman was alive, but not unharmed, a lobotomy was performed on her too. The perpetrator, who turned out to be a brother of the last victim, was arrested. As the team found out, the motivation for his actions was envy. He was envious of his sister’s achievements in medical school and in his twisted mind lobotomising her was the appropriate solution. Following the arrest, you and Alex were transporting the unsub. The car ride was quiet, filled with uncomfortable but completely justified tension between the two of you and the German man.
“Do you have kids?” Anton spoke up aiming his question at you.
“No.” you replied to the man as you glanced at the linguist sitting at the other side of him, all you hoped for was that that same question wouldn’t fall from his mouth again aimed at the other agent.
“Do you?” the man turned his gaze to Alex.
“No.” Alex snarled and immediately turned her head away from the unsub sitting next to her, now looking out of the window of the car, carefully observing the surroundings. You knew this question brought her back to the period of her life she didn’t share with many people. Minutes had passed and nobody dared to break the silence in the vehicle, it felt like eternity by the time you reached your destination.
***
You and the team were now back in Quantico, getting ready to leave the building and get some well-deserved rest. Most of the agents have already left, you and Alex being the only ones left in the bullpen, and Hotch, of course, in his office.
“Hey.” you said softly as you walked in the brunette woman’s direction “are you okay? I saw you switch in the car ride back when the unsub asked about...”
“I’m fine.” Alex interrupted you and you looked up at her, now meeting her eyes. You knew the woman all too well not to notice the pain in them that she tried to mask it with her soft smile. “Ready to go home?”
“Yeah, of course.” you smiled at the woman and reached for her hand. You knew better than to push Alex to talk. Despite being an excellent linguist who valued clear communication above most things, she often couldn’t find words to express what she felt in those moments. She would come to you when she was ready. The two of you walked together towards the elevator glad to finally have the evening to yourselves.
“I can’t wait to do some crosswords tonight.” the linguist stated with a smile on her lips and you giggled in response, gently squeezing her hand.
The atmosphere in the car ride home was quiet and you didn’t want to be the one breaking the silence. Not for any other reason than giving Alex space to collect her thoughts. It wasn’t long after that you were opening the door of your shared apartment.
“Shall we order some food? I really don’t feel like cooking tonight.” you turned around to look at your girlfriend that was now taking her shoes and coat off.
“Yeah, can do.” the older woman said with a sad grimace, which was followed by a deep sigh.
“How about I draw you a nice bath so you can relax? We can order the food afterwards.” you said softly as you walked towards the brunette, gently wrapping your arms around her waist. You felt Alex tense for a second, but shortly after she allowed herself to melt in your embrace, not letting her eyes wander away from yours.
“That would be lovely.” the woman breathed and pressed a soft kiss on your lips.
“I’ll be right back then” you whispered back and placed a kiss on Alex’s cheek. You then headed towards the bathroom to start preparing a bath for your girlfriend, adding in some of her favourite rose-scented bath salt and lighting up the candles that were standing on your bathroom counter. When the bath was ready you called for Alex, unsure whether she’d like you there with her or prefer to spend the time by herself. When the woman got there and you were about to leave, much to your relief she asked you to stay there with her. Alex got rid of her clothes and proceeded to make herself comfortable in the bathtub and you took your place sitting on the hardwood floor right next to it. There was a brief moment of silence between the two of you before Alex decided to break it.
“I still miss him.” the woman whispered in a barely audible tone, a stray tear falling down her cheek.
She didn’t talk about Ethan much, if at all. Her explanation as to why was that it’s easier to try and push the feelings back than face them, which you’ve come to accept as something that you couldn’t change about Alex. She never wanted to risk falling apart in front of anyone, even herself. But this time felt different.
“I know darling.” you said in a soft, quiet voice, gently brushing her hair behind her ear “Would you like to tell me more about him?” you added, looking straight into her dark brown eyes, giving her a gentle smile. As you continued playing with her hair, Alex let out a deep sigh simultaneously breaking the eye contact the two of you held.
“Yes, I would really like that actually” the agent whispered and chuckled gently “I think you two would have gotten along you know, that little traitor was significantly more interested in sciences than anything to do with literature and linguistics.”
You let out a giggle, squeezing Alex’s hand, as you started speaking “If that was the case, I think we would have gotten along perfectly.”
“Definitely.” she laughed “I think he would have been so much like Spencer. He was so bright, way above any of his friends. I actually considered moving him a grade up, but James convinced me that he would be better off amongst kids his own age.” Alex went on as she continued holding your hand, now drawing small circles on it. “You know, when I look at Spencer, I think about what Ethan could have been, the great things he never got the chance to do…”
You carefully listened as Alex told you everything and anything about her son. From his very early childhood you learned that he was an unusually quiet baby and with that he shocked everyone. His favourite food was, unsurprisingly for a 9-year-old, very cheesy pizza. He would spend his free time in his room, learning how to put together different chemical structures with the “Little Chemist Kit” he got from Alex’s brother, Scott. Ethan loved animals and always made sure to pet every cat and dog he passed. Although he exceeded in school, he hated PE, which made you laugh considering how similar the little boy was to a certain genius.
As the time went on the water in the bath got colder and colder, that’s when Alex decided it was time to get out. You prepared some clean pyjamas for her and proceeded to order some takeout for the two of you as she got herself dressed.
The conversation went on throughout the whole evening, Alex made sure to tell you every little detail that made Ethan so special, every aspect of him that she could recall. All the happy memories they made throughout his 9 years, not focusing on the sad part too much. She pulled out old photographs showing Ethan at various stages of his life, no matter the situation he always had a smile on his face. You listened to everything she had to say, immediately seeing the soothing effect this had on her. The burden of holding all her emotions in leaving her body every second as she continued speaking, all the negativities being replaced by a deep sense of relief. She knew she was safe with you, that she could open up and for the first time in her life, she allowed that to happen.

Shared Spaces
Tumblr media
Pairing: Charlotte Flair x Reader
Prompt: 12. "That is my side of the bed and you know it."
NR
WC: 739
Charlotte dropped both of your bags by the door as the two of you shuffled slowly into the hotel room. This show had taken it out of both of you. Charlotte's title match against Sonya had been a lot more intense than anybody had expected before. They had really shown everybody why they had deserved to be on the Royal Rumble card instead of pushed back to the next week's Smackdown episode. You had been ambushed by Lacey Evans backstage because everybody else simply refused to work with her, and you were a last resort. Hopefully she wouldn't be there much longer after your angle, so it wouldn't have to happen again.
"I don't think a bed has ever looked so appealing to me in my entire life," Charlotte said as she looked at the bed in the center of the room. There had been some room assignment trading in order for you to get this room with Charlotte, but you didn't mind. The two of you almost got a double bed, but this one would do. It wasn't like you'd be sleeping in separate spaces anyways. Everything was shared when it could be, including cars. You would have liked driving, but Charlotte insisted on it because she always got the two of you there faster. Her methods were sketchy, but effective.
"You know, there were nights at NXT where I dreamed of being able to afford this for a night. Right now, it looks so fucking uncomfortable. Are you sure we couldn't have just driven the extra few hours to North Carolina? I would have been fine to drive," you told her. Charlotte shook her head as she pulled you towards the bed. She sat down and leaned her forehead against your stomach. You wrapped your arms around the back of her neck and shoulders. Charlotte had been spoiling you a lot being off from work, but still travelling with you. The rentals that the company got for the two of you were fine, but Charlotte liked either going the extra mile or using one of her own cars. She would get you the nicest hotels that she could find, so the Holiday Inn was a bit of a downgrade. This was definitely the nicest Holiday Inn you had ever been in, but it wasn't exactly 5 stars.
"This is fine, stop being a snob," Charlotte teased, as if she wasn't the reason for it. You rolled your eyes as you moved away from her to change. Charlotte had been smart and decided on wearing sweats out of the arena, unlike you. The direction of your character was somewhat linked to Charlotte's. People had seen too many sightings of the two of you together for it to just be left alone. Creative had agreed on letting Charlotte be your "mentor" despite that not being the nature of your true relationship. Charlotte had trained with you, but she hadn't really mentored you all that much. The two of you were prone to getting distracted during your in-ring training sessions.
"What the hell do you think you're doing miss?" You couldn't believe what you were seeing in front of you. Charlotte knew that you were particular about certain things and where you started laying at the beginning of the night was one of them. You would end up on top of Charlotte by the morning, but you needed to start off on your side of the bed wrapped up like a mummy under the blankets.
"I'm saving us steps because it's kind of cold in here," Charlotte replied flatly. There weren't that many blankets, so you could excuse not being able to cocoon for the night, but Charlotte was not sleeping on your side of the bed for the night.
"Absolutely not. That is my side of the bed and you know it. Scooch," you told her. Charlotte shook her head and just pulled you into the bed with her.
"And for that, I'm revoking blanket privileges for the next ten minutes. So either cuddle up or freeze." You didn't like ultimatums, but the longer you were in the main part of the hotel room, the colder you realized that it was. Reluctantly, you relaxed into Charlotte's arms and let her hold you as she started to fall asleep. She was out before the ten minutes was up, so you could just get under the blankets once she was asleep.

Heyy so all I want is arguing/angst and smut like maybe timothée is super toxic
I knew I had a request for this somewhere!
I’ve been wanting to do a little blurb on a Toxic!Timmy AU, just to test it out and see what you guys think. I feel like I should apologize in advance, I’m so used to writing real Timmy and having everyone tell me they love the accuracy.
So please please pleeaaaassseee let me know what you think of this style! It’s definitely not our actual boy, but it was fun to explore a completely different character.
———————————————————————
Toxic
———————————————————————
Toxic
Timothée Chalamet x Reader
alternate universe where timmy is toxic. if you like fics where timmy is portrayed accurately, this isn’t for you. angst. smut. he’s just a terrible person in this, really. part two.
*obligatory mobile formatting apology*
———————————————————————
“Why are you lying to me when the proof is right there?!” You shouted. You were furious, which was something that wasn’t uncommon in your house. Once again, your boyfriend had been caught, and you had to sit back as the whole world watched your embarrassment.
“I wasn’t out anywhere with her!” Timothée shouted. You had to admit, he was a convincing liar, but that didn’t change anything. “You’re crazy! Why are you always looking for something wrong with me?!”
“There’s videos of you kissing her!”
“That’s not me!”
“Then why is she wearing your clothes?!” Your voice broke. You were fighting everything in you not to cry. You knew every time you cried he won. He would say you were just too emotional or that you were on your period, then brush the problem to the side.
“More than one guy can’t own the same pair of shorts?!” He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. He said your name but it landed on foreign ears. “Maybe you should go spend the night with your friend.”
“Why? So you can bring her over here and fuck her in my bed? Haven’t disrespected me enough yet, Timothée?” You spat.
“I don’t-!” He bit his lip and slapped his hand against the drywall. “We need to be apart until you get over whatever psychotic episode you’re having. Do you really believe I’d cheat-“
“Yes.” You cut him off. “Yes I do. I’ve seen it with my own two eyes. Don’t be so naïve, the both of us know this isn’t the first time.”
“Woman-“ His tone was graced with warning.
“Go to hell.” With that said, you stormed out of the room. You finally let the hot tears spill down your cheeks.
*
“Why do you keep letting him treat you like this?” Your best friend, Naomi, asked. You had been at her house for a few hours now after you stormed out. She was always the one to pick up your broken pieces whenever you and Timothée fought, which lately was more often than not.
“I don’t know.” You sighed. You were just as much of a liar as he was, though. Because you did know. You knew exactly why you accepted the behavior. You leant your head onto her shoulder, you were both sitting on her couch.
“Then stop it.” She said. “Come move in with me and Isaac. You can take the extra room-“
“I can’t do that.” You replied, feeling the tears run down your cheeks again. “I can’t leave him.”
“Yes you can.” She reassured you. “There’s nothing stopping you but yourself. You can get out of there and be done with him.”
“I can’t, I love him.”
“A man like that doesn’t deserve your love.” Her voice was softer now, you knew she felt bad for you. You didn’t want her to feel bad. “All he does is use you. You do everything for him and then he turns around and cheats. He’s not gonna have any better than you. And he needs to see that.”
“But he can change. He wasn’t like this when we got together. He can go back to being my Timmy. The fame got to his head. He’s only twenty-“
“Stop making excuses for him. When you came in here you were furious and now you’re begging off.” She sighed. “If it is the fame that went to his head, then he needs to experience it. Leave his ass and let him actually realize how good he has it with you. Maybe it’ll knock some sense into him.”
“Maybe you’re right.” You sighed and bit your lip. “He won’t be home. I can go get my stuff and disappear tonight.”
“Do you want me or Isaac to come with you?”
“No.” You said. “I can go alone.”
*
You did just that. Late that night, around midnight, you snuck back to your shared apartment. Quietly you unlocked the door and slipped inside. He would be out with friends at an hour like this, so you knew he wouldn’t—
“Oh god, yes! Fuck me, Timothée!” You heard a loud shout and a moan. At that instant your heart dropped into your stomach like a rock.
You could hear the bed creaking, you could hear her moans, the worst part was you could hear his moans. The ones that used to be reserved for you and you only.
You held your chin up and walked down the hall anyway, avoiding looking into the room with the open door, and went straight to collect your things. The girl must’ve seen you walk by because she shouted.
“Oh god I think someone broke in!”
You walked into your room, grabbed your favorite duffel bag, and began shoving random things into it.
A few moments later you heard footsteps and a door slam. You flinched to the loud noise.
“What the fuck are you doing here? I thought you said you were going to-“
“I did. And I came back to get some of my stuff. Is that a crime?” You snapped back. You were out of emotion to offer him. He didn’t deserve your emotion.
“You should’ve called first.”
“Called first to walk into a place I pay half rent on? Don’t be ridiculous.” For the first time that evening you looked toward him. He stood there, leaning against the door, naked, dick still hard. You shivered, throwing your erotic thoughts to the back of your mind. Now is not the time.
Unfortunately, it was too late. He had seen your reaction.
“Ohhh.” He sauntered over to you, playfulness on his voice. “Mad at me, taking all her stuff, running away, but still can’t keep her eyes off my cock?”
You were silent.
“You know I love you.” He said softly, taking your chin in between his fingers. He made you look at him.
“Do I?” You rolled your eyes. You couldn’t help but feel your heart flutter, though. You had wanted him to say that for so long. All you had wanted was for him to love you.
“You do.” He said. Within an instant his lips were on yours.
“Get rid of her.” You mumbled when his lips touched yours. “Get rid of her and I’ll stay.”
“Give me five minutes.” He broke the kiss and exited the room.
While he was gone, you stared at the duffel bag in your hands. Maybe he was right.
Maybe you were just overreacting. What did it really matter if he fooled around with others sometimes? He always came back to you. He was completely in love with you, he was addicted to you. Nobody could ever give him what you do. Those other girls may have him for a moment, but you always got him in the end. He was yours, and that’s something they couldn’t take from you.
You smiled softly to yourself and dropped the duffel bag. Maybe he did love you all this time and you were just too dumb to see it.
You walked out of the room to be met with Timothée, who was on his way back to you. You both stopped in your tracks. You smiled at him and felt giddiness well up inside of you. Finally, you were getting what you wanted.
Crashing into his room, lips on each other’s, his hands on your body, the way it was supposed to be. It didn’t take long for him to strip you of your bottoms and push you onto your back on the bed. He entered you quickly and fully, which made a shout erupt from your throat.
His lips stayed attached to your neck and his hips slammed against yours fervently. You were completely blissed out, you were finally feeling his skin on yours again. It was something that you had wanted for so long.
“Move back in here.” He muttered against your neck. “Back into our room.” Your heart soared. You wanted nothing more than that. To be his again.
“Ooohhh- okay.” You said with a giggle on your lips. “Ooh, that feels so good, Timothée.”
“So fucking tight.” He muttered as his hands explored your body. “So perfect for me.”
When all was said and done, you lied next to him in bed for the first time in ages. You watched him light up a cigarette, a habit of his you hated, but you didn’t say anything. You didn’t want to ruin the moment.
“I love you, Timothée.” You said. You snuggled your face into his ribs and felt comfortable. Sleep slowly began to take you over.
“I know.”

khaotungsfirst’s 2023 BL recap
Alright, I know I'm late but it’s the time of the year again where I post my favorite BLs of the year even though no one cares about my opinion lmao. Buckle up cause this is gonna be long...
Top Thai BLs
Tumblr media
I Feel You Linger In The Air
What a breath of fresh air this was! Not only was the romance top-notch, I was also really invested in the plot and what was happening to other characters. The wlw sideplot felt natural and not shoehorned in and was what we all deserved. I'm just so happy to have experienced this masterpiece!!
Only Friends
Came for SandRay, stayed for BostonNick (and SandRay). Though it had its ups and downs I can't help but love it. There was so much messy drama that I was LIVING for every single week and experiencing that along with the rest of BL tumblr was the best thing. We desperately need more shows like this in the BL world.
Laws of Attraction
Ridiculous SFX could not deter me from loving this show. It's dramatic, it's over the top and it's ridiculous at times but it's crime so of course I liked it. Bonus points for cutting from the villain being killed in prison straight to the main couple's wedding. We love to see it!
Top Korean BLs
Tumblr media
Our Dating Sim
This was my last watch of the year when I was looking for something that I could squeeze in without many expectations. How could I have guessed that it would turn out to be my favorite Korean BL of the year? Though the story is nothing new or groundbreaking, I enjoyed the main actors chemistry so so much. Korean BLs, to me, often feel a little stiff but they managed to make it feel so real and easy, I loved it.
The Eighth Sense
Oh, this was something else... High quality cinematography and high-quality story-telling. In the end I went into it with expectations that were too high to meet but still, such a touching BL that will definitely move you (maybe even to tears).
Why R U? (KR)
A show held together by three pieces of duct tape but enjoyable nonetheless. I don't think it's comparable to its Thai original. Yes, the plot is more or less the same but you gotta see it as its own thing. I do love me a panicked gay/confident gay pairing so it already had me from there. And let's talk about the kisses cause !!!
Top Japanese BLs
Tumblr media
Tokyo in April is…
Friends to lovers my beloved!!! The PINING, the ACHING, the YEARNING! YEARS OF IT!! How can I not love it? Yes, this was a bit of a heavier BL but it was done SO WELL and the payoff from all the trauma was so satisfying.
My Personal Weatherman
What can I say? Japan just knows how to do it. In any other show the miscommunication between the mains would be annoying as hell. But the chemistry between these two was just off the charts. Nothing more to say.
I Cannot Reach You
Friends to lovers my beloved!!! the sequel. This time less traumatising but just as sweet and moving. A cute and innocent watch.
Top Taiwanese BLs
Tumblr media
Kiseki: Dear to Me
The way I IMMEDIATELY knew ChenAi were gonna be my new hyperfixation as soon as I saw them in episode 1... They just have that je ne sais quoi, that special 'make me fall to the floor and bite my fist' quality to them. BZY and FZR also had their insane moments and in combination with everything that ChenAi were doing this show just hit the right spot. Can't wait to rewatch it.
Stay by My Side
Was it ridiculous? Yes. Was it cute tho? Also yes. Nothing I would rewatch but it did make me laugh a lot so there's that.
Top Chinese “BL”
Stay With Me
Tumblr media
It’s not like we have much of a selection regarding Chinese BLs (cries in when will Eternal Faith, Immortaily and Winner is King be released from the dungeons?) but HOLY SHIT did they deliver with this one. I didn't know this was specifially made for international release when I went into it so I was in for a few surprises here and there. And I'm gonna say it: it's better than Addicted Heroin. The way their love story developed just has me screaming internally I LOVE THEM SO MUCHHHHH!!!
Top 3 overall
Kiseki: Dear to Me
Stay With Me
I Feel You Linger In The Air
Top pre-2023 BLs (that I watched in 2023)
Tumblr media
The Eclipse (2022)
Can you believe that I only just joined the FirstKhao nation this year? I completely skipped this show last year NOT KNOWING what a masterpiece I missed out on. Finally a highschool BL with a capital P Plot! And the enemies to lovers was so so good!!! AkkAyan you will always be famous!
Love Mechanics (2022)
I'm not a fan of cheating stories at all but DEAR GOD these two!!! It's the YinWar magic that pulled me in and will never let me go. The constant back and forth did get a bit annoying at some point but I won't complain when we also got things like the shower scene...
Roommates of Poongduck 304 (2022)
Can ZB1 disband faster so Jiwoong can return to BL acting please? I jest, I jest... kinda. I loved the relationship dynamic in this one so much because they both held power over the other (and both were petty bitches about it lmao).
My Gear and Your Gown (2020)
The girls that get it get it, the girls that don't don't :) Falling for MarcPawin during Dangerous Romance and THEN realising that they're the mains for this show immediately put it on top of my watchlist and I'm not ashamed to say I liked it. It's very 2020 but sometimes that's all you need.
Favorite currently airing BLs
I did not want to consider these for the final rankings because they’re still airing and could theoretically still pull a Game of Thrones S7 on us but I have really high hopes for them.

Cherry Magic
HELLO???!?!? I LOVE ACHI SO F U CK ING MUCHHHH!!! And the way Karan is in love with him so gently and so deeply I- AAAAAHHHHHH. This is gonna be my new obsession I can feel it!!
Last Twilight
At first I didn't even plan on watching this because I didn't think JimmySea were a pairing I would enjoy (Vice Versa has been on hold for over a year lol). But GODDAMN did they prove me wrong! So soft, so precious... P'Aof you did it again!
The Sign
What a hodgepodge of genres... One second you're chasing a murderer, the next you're having sex fantasies about your coworker and then you're having visions about your past life with your soulmate (who is also said coworker). Love it!

Be Mine Superstar
I was so excited for a new JaFirst series as I really enjoyed Don't Say No, and Remember Me didn't quite quench my thirst. But this... if this was a BL then why did we spend SO MUCH TIME on the beef between the agents?? Shit was annoying af. Moreover, I really could not deal with Ja's character. I know a lot of people liked his innocent puppy-like behaviour but it was just too much for me. The only redeemable thing was the side pairing but even that turned into a hot mess quite quickly. Had to drop this at some point after I started watching it on 1.5 speed and realized that I'm torturing myself.
Low Frequency
Exciting concept but stiff acting and a plot that dragged on. Dropped halfway through.
Bon Appetit
It's not bad but just straight up boring. I finished it but it didn't leave any lasting impressions. I know you can do better, Korea...

2023 Superlatives
Tumblr media
Most iconic intro: Only Friends (long live First's thighs)
Quickest drop: Middleman’s Love (i was rooting for you Jade!)
Best supporting character: Tin's grandma - Laws of Attraction (sweetest lil supportive grandma who didn't deserve any of this)
Best Worst character: Jaewon's girlfriend - The Eighth Sense (I think this is the only bitchy ex-gf of the entire year and I'm glad about it)
Best side pairing: ChenAi - Kiseki: Dear to Me (do they even count as a side pairing anymore? If not then I'd go with GuyNawa - Dangerous Romance)
Best could have been if the writers wanted us to: NameSaifah - Dangerous Romance (no it was NOT enough!)
Biggest green flag: Win - Between Us (asking for consent is so sexyyy) / Yai - IFYLITA (he's the softest, most caring boy who's so so in love)
Biggest red flag (affectionate): Hira - Utsukushii Kare (my boy highkey needs therapy but Kiyoi wouldn't want it any other way so we'll let it slide) / Lom - Wedding Plan (the way he went about things was... questionable but I understand his reasoning behind it so I can't hate him)
Biggest red flag (derogatory): Boeing - Only Friends (bro just wanted to fuck with - literally and metaphorically - every and anyone and I respect that but dude...)
Most iconic kiss: Lee Won/Ji Oh - Why R U? KR (this was so fucking unexpected but they ate and left absolutely no crumbs)
Most iconic makeout scene: YangJai - Love in Translation (IN A GROCERY STORE?? FINGERS IN MOUTH??!)
Most iconic sex scene: TopBoston - Only Friends (oohhh the DRAMA of it all… truly gagged everyone with this)
Best unhinged horny scene: Jom - IFYLITA (I will never be able to look at massage oil without thinking about this...)
Best gays on a bike scene: Stay With Me (like… facing each other…. grinning at each other.... give me a minute)
Newest addition to the poor lil meow meow collection: Ai Di - Kiseki: Dear to Me (my feral murder kitten I LOVE YOU SO MUUUUUUCHHH)
And there we have it! What a year it's been... I can't wait for 2024 to be just as wonderful, unhinged, crazy and amazing. If you've read until this point I wanna thank you for enduring all that and also for supporting me and my edits throughout this year. Whether we're moots or not I truly appreciate every single person that interacts with me on this hellsite 🫶❤️
