Sakura’s profile: サラダの母でサスケの妻。ナルト、サスケとはかつて同じ班を組んだ戦友だ。複雑な関係に陥った三人だったが、めでたく意中のサスケとゴールインした。本作ではざっくばらんな良き母になっており、夫がほとんど帰らない家庭でも、娘サラダとは打ち解けた関係を築けている。怪力の持ち主だが、医療忍者としても優秀。 She is Sarada’s mother and Sasuke’s wife. From a summary of Kishi’s interview in the August 2010 issue of Otonafami: 本斉史：「難しかったのはサクラとサスケのお別れシーン木の葉隠れの里を出ていくシーン。ヒロインのサクラが止めるのですが、大声で『好き』って言って、恋人みたいになっちゃって恥ずかしくなった( 笑)。」 Masashi Kishimoto: If I had to mention a difficult scene, it would be the parting scene between Sakura and Sasuke. The scene when Sasuke leaves the village of Konoha. Sakura, the heroine, stops him - and shouts “I love you” at him. It made it sound a bit like they were lovers, which felt rather embarrassing (laughs). - Source

From Kishi’s interview at Jump Festa 2010: “Sakura had always been worried about Naruto, but her actions towards Naruto seem to have a different feel from before, she seems very anxious about Naruto… how does she feel about Sasuke-kun?” “As for Sakura… Sasuke… what about Sasuke? Naruto is close and she worries about Naruto as well, but as expected, she (loves) Sasuke."

From Kishi’s interview at Jump Festa 2011: 「サスケとサクラの別れのシーンでは、女心がわからず、同僚と相談して描いた。」 “I don’t understand women’s hearts, so I consulted with a coworker before writing the scene of Sasuke and Sakura’s parting.” 「サスケ里抜け時のサクラとの別れのシーンのアフレコ後の先生コメント「このシーンは本当に悩みました。」何に悩んだのかは詳しく語られなかった。」 Sensei’s comment after the recording of Sasuke and Sakura’s parting scene when Sasuke leaves the village was "This scene was very difficult for me”. Other Q: Were the characters’ romances also decided in advance? Kishi: I didn’t keep it in mind that much because I wanted to go with the flow (of the story). I drew (the story) while contemplating whether Sasuke and Sakura will end up together or what. I didn’t put Sakura in the heroine’s position anyways. Although Naruto is special as the protagonist, the others were equal and not categorized as main or minor. (The romances) were decided on how the characters will act as the story (proceeds). But halfway through I also thought that Naruto and Sakura were probably not that (not right). Somehow I did decide on (them/the romances) at a rather early stage. Source

一方、映画でナルトに引導を渡す（？）役割を果たすことになったサクラを演じる中村さんは「まさか、こんな失恋気分を味わうとは…」と笑いつつ、ナルトとヒナタだけでなく、サクラとサスケの間に何があったのか「先生、気になります」とその間のエピソードを描いてほしいと岸本さんにおねだり。岸本さんは「確かにサスケの方が気になりますよね。いろいろ、考えますね」と頷き、「サクラには幸せになってほしいです。ツラいことばかり描いてきたので」としみじみと語っていた。。 Basically, it says that at the premiere, Chie-san laughingly told Kishi that Sakura gave off the feeling of being broken-hearted when giving Naruto ’the last rites over the deceased’ in the movie (don’t ask me… even the article put a question mark after that part XD) - and that she wanted to know what had happened between her and Sasuke, not just between Naruto and Hinata. The article says that she was literally begging Kishi to write about it. To which Kishimoto apparently nodded and answered with ‘Certainly, people are interested in Sasuke’s side… I’ll be thinking about various things’. Then he said very earnestly that he wanted Sakura to be happy, since he’s only been making her experience painful things until now. Source

-As you were saying that, I thought, I wonder if your family life was more like Hinata and Naruto’s family or Sasuke and Sakura’s? (everyone laughs) Masashi Kishiimoto: Well… it might not actually be like either. My wife is quite strong as well, she’s a strong character. -Oh, so kind of like Sakura! K: So I think my wife might secretly realize that Hinata wasn’t really the model for her… (laughs) Source
