Hello everyone! I'm back. I have been pretty much gone because I was in vacation but we are back. Started school two weeks ago and it's kinda crushing me but it's okay because I passed the first and only filter for sec gen of my school's mun. Please wish me good luck! In my opinion, in a solarpunk future, education about the environment should be mandatory in a good school system. This is why we do this , this is why we started doing this, etc. Today I heard my Theory of Knowledge teacher say that he doesn't believe that human beings directly affect climate change. Because I study environmental science I know that's simply not true.

Studying environmental science would teach so many people that all the systems of the earth are so interconnected. For me, that made me more aware that my choices had so many widespread impacts on many areas. I wasn't so passionate about the environment before I took this subject and it has made me think differently.

Other than this, I think indigenous or cultural knowledge should also be taught along with this. I think a lot of people in the solarpunk community know that if we do want to make an impact working with indigenous people is a good method. I was reading Braiding Sweetgrass and it's so noticeable that the way we see everything is influenced by a cultural perspective.

Either way, greater education about the environment is so, so important.

day two -16°C, and an early morning

#strayverse100days | 100 days of productivity challenge

hi hi hello!

compared to yesterday i am doing really good, no pain or soreness and i haven't been very tired either (thankfully). i woke up at 5am today and had a slow morning and started studying first at 7am! which was still a success in my eyes :p

it was a bit cold in the morning, and since the house warms up slowly i stayed in one room the entire day instead of moving around too much throughout the day~

at 10am it was still -16 °c outside! (which is roughly 2°f) so i have stayed inside all day apart from when i went grocery shopping with my mum, and now im sitting in the sofa with our cats :)

today, i focused on mostly economics, and did some thai during my lunch break! and ended off the day with a short hour of biology.

all in all i find it to be a success of a day Cx

I studied math today. What I've finished today:

Sampling and Data

Statistics

Sets and Venn Diagrams

Right angled triangle trigonometry (almost done)

I was actually able to study all day without being distracted by my phone! In the afternoons, I'm usually so tired it's easier to get distracted and I can't focus much. I decided to try and take a nap today, and then left for a walk, it helped me feel better and just more satisfied.

On the other hand, I wish my family would just shut up. I do not like hearing constant arguing in the background.

The study leave starts tomorrow and I'm so nervous! But trying my best is all that matters in the end.

hello, loves

i've got a coffee by my side as i write this and oh my has school been busy. i've only been back three days so far and i have mountains of homework already. luckily, i know what i have to change with my study habits to be more efficient.

since i go to school pretty far away, i have to leave home at 6:55 each morning. this morning is an exception-- i don't have to take the bus since my dad is dropping me at the station. hence, today's morning post.

i hope that my posting hasn't been too boring while i've been inactive. i have a magazine post scheduled for saturday. issue one!

yesterday i got my immunisations done (i can't remember what they're for). both of my arms are so horribly sore and i don't know how i'm going to manage with training this arvo. i also feel incredibly exhausted. last night i passed out (to sleep) at 7pm.

anyways, i should probably get going--start getting ready for school.

Yesterday (21/11/23), I completed some business and math practice; we are currently studying trigonometry and unit 2 in business. I also had my violin lesson; I recently started playing the violin, and so far I have learned how to play Ludwig Van Beethoven's Ode to Joy.
