HQ BOYS WHEN YOU SLEEP ON TOP OF HIM (pt. 2)

SAKUSA: “what are you doing?” he grumbles under his breath as his eyebrows furrow, looking at your figure on top of him as annoyance etches on his face. however, you also couldn’t miss the worry in his eyes as his hands find its way on your lower back. he’s about to speak out another remark when your closed eyelids brought him to a halt. and so he lets you be, releasing a sigh from his lips before letting his fingers soothe your lower back to lull you deeper to sleep.

IWAIZUMI: he almost chuckles when you take your place on top of him, thinking you were in a playful mood. however, the sight of your droopy eyelids causes him to raise an eyebrow as he lets his muscular arms encircle themselves around your body. his question comes out in a low murmur, “are you sleepy?” and with a tired hum coming from you as a reply, he lets a soft smile form on his face, nudging your head closer to the crook of his neck while indulging himself upon the feeling of your warmth.

USHIJIMA: “what’s wrong, love?” he worriedly asks you as both of his eyebrows raises, letting your head fall on top of his chest. “nothing, i want to sleep here toshi, is that okay?” although still confused as to why you would sleep on top of him rather than the huge space the bed has for you, he lets his arms circle themselves around your waist. “okay, if that’s what you like.” he replies stoically, despite his now reddened ears that goes unnoticed by you.

SUGAWARA: “what’s this?” he chuckles, a playful glint showing through his eyes as one of his hands quickly take place to play with your hair while the other rests on your lower back. his smile seems to widen when he notices the sleepy look on your face and he lowers his head down to give your forehead a kiss. “alright, you’re really adorable. sweet dreams, beautiful.”

HINATA: let’s out a tiny oomf as you plop on top of him without a word. he looks down at you confused but doesn’t question it anyway. as soon as he sees your closed eyelids, he immediately lets himself shut up, not wanting to wake you up because he thinks it’d be a mortal sin to commit such an act. he then instead lets his hand rest itself on your upper back for comfort, the warmth coming from you lulling himself aswell into deep sleep.

ATSUMU: “well what do we have here?” a breathy chuckle comes out from his lips as he looks down to your now sleeping figure. his smile seems to widen even more the longer he looks at you. he lets his arm encircle itself around your body while the other positions itself on your lower back to give you soft pats. a content hum comes from him as he whispers to particularly nothing, “you’re so cute, you should do this often baby.”

KONOHA: “hi bab— oh, you’re doing this now?” he cuts off the greeting with a question as you plop on top of him without a word, earning a smirk that forms on his face as his lazy eyes drop down to your figure. “what’s gotten you so clingy baby?” he’s so smug omfg. his arm finds itself around your waist while his other hand finds place on your nape to push your head closer to the crook of his neck. with a content sigh, he doesn’t batter a single word as he lets you drift to sleep on top of him.

he quirks an eyebrow, “where do you think you’re going?”

Annoying things they do

Characters: akaashi, bokuto, konoha, tsukishima, hinata, kuroo, hanamaki

Genre: Fluff. not proofread if you see mistakes no you don't.

✰Akaashi : Gets away with literally anything by batting his pretty long eye lashes at everyone and you're stuck standing there like a fool and everyone is like hmm so sad how poor little akaashi is influenced by her. What a naive little boy. It's actually both of your brains creating that stupid idea but he finds a way to weasel himself out of it.

✰Bokuto: Takes showers that are too long and always uses all the hot water so every time you shower it's freezing. Apologies and forgets so he does it all again. Other times he decides to wash the dishes or put his clothes in the washing machine so you're still in the shower with icy water.

✰Konoha: Texts too many people simultaneously while watching a video and doesn't bother pausing his video. Has accidently sent the wrong message to you countless of times and doesnt even realise. When you ask why he wants to know what rika from class 3's shampoo smells like he's not even ashamed just says "lol sorry" and scrolls a few messages up to continue the actual conversation.

✰Tsukishima: Can be real bad at communicating, he'll come up to your house all dressed and gets mad when he sees you in pjyamas and is like what about our date and youre like "?what? We didnt schedule one." Then he realises...he forgot to tell you he's taking you out today...turns away and just silently leaves and you're like "???"

✰Hinata: he insists that you two always have lunch together so if you're revising notes while eating, he'll just pick up a pen and start doodling and forget that he's drawing flowers and your and his initials on BORROWED NOTES and both of you get so embarrassed.

✰Kuroo: likes to hold you, doesn't have to be your hand, he just wants to be in your presence and in your space. Sometimes rests his arm on your shoulders or puts his chin on your head and kisses your crown. It's all cute until he leans his body weight on you as a joke and both of you scream as he topples you over. Then he's a blushing and apologising mess.

✰Hanamaki: literally the worst person in the chat. He sneaks pictures of you when you aren't looking and they're all bad ex, you caught mid sneeze. Edits them like they're memes and has the audacity to USE them in his group chat and uses them to react to you as well. Has a collection for all his friends.

You two look like two kids playing in the rain as if it was your first time doing so. To you, it seemed like you were in wonderland, having the time of your life with the one that you love. It seems like the experience came out of a fairytale.

You and he felt free while you got soaked outside, people from their houses stare at the two of you, judging why two teenagers are dancing in the rain. Are they trying to get sick?

You didn’t care about that, you felt like you could breathe, even if it felt like you were drowning.

You didn't talk much with Konoha Akinori. Not that you didn't want to, but it's more because of your clashing schedules. It's weird, considering the fact that you both share the same house, yet you can count with only two hands the number of times you have spoken to him.

Komi had been the one to introduce you to Konoha during your search for a house.

"He could use a roommate or two to divide the house rent with," your friend grinned and you considered that it's not such a bad option. You had never met this Konoha guy before but if he's a best friend of Komi, you figured that he's gotta be a pretty decent person.

And you were right. Well, sort of. You just assumed he was since you never had much interaction with him in the first place, even after 3 months of living together. You hate to admit it, but even after such a long time had passed, you barely knew anything about him besides his name. To say you two regarded each other as ghosts in your own house would sound like an overstatement, but it's sort of true.

With all that said, why was that Konoha Akinori holding your head against his chest, letting it rest there, while gently patting your back?

Let me take you back to a few hours prior to this.

That week had been awful for you. Extremely awful. All you wanted to do after leaving your workplace was to curl up in your bed, and probably cry yourself to sleep. That’s all. But even dragging your body to your bedroom was too much of a work, so instead you settled on lying down on the living room sofa. Did you care that your housemate’s probably gonna see you in your miserable state out in the open? No, rather, you’d thought that he’s going to pretend like he didn’t see it. After all, it’s not as if you guys were close enough for him to inquire about your wellbeing.

You heard the creaking noise of your shared apartment’s door opening. Your face still buried deep into the sofa cushion, you ignored it. ‘He’s home much earlier today,’ you thought to yourself. As expected, you didn’t hear anything afterwards, and you assumed he’d made his way into his bedroom. But when you felt a presence sitting down beside the sofa, you came to the realisation that maybe your assumption had been wrong after all.

A few seconds passed by with no words exchanged between you two. It made you think that maybe you were just imagining things and Konoha wasn’t really there besides you. Not too long after that however, he spoke up.

“Hey…are you alright?”

You could’ve just said yes and let him leave. You could’ve just made up an excuse on the spot, it’s really not that hard. Why would you need to confide in him when he’s just a stranger you’re sharing your living space with? But as soon as he asked that, a million different emotions washed over you in an instant. It’s a simple, and not to mention an overused question, but maybe that’s just what you needed at the moment. You couldn’t help the sob that escaped you. He wrapped his arms around your shaking figure, silently comforting you. At that moment, your soft weeping was the only thing echoing throughout the room.

And so, that was what led you to this point. He allowed your head to rest comfortably on his chest while he listened to whatever your problems had been. He was a good listener, and even offered encouraging words to help lift up your spirit. You never expected that, and you must admit that you were impressed.

“Oh right, I almost forgot,” Konoha gently rose up from his seat after he was done talking, and it took all of your willpower to not stop him from leaving your side. Your eyes curiously followed him to the kitchen. He took out a tub of ice cream from the fridge, one that just happened to be your favourite flavour. After he took a couple of spoons from the cupboard, he made his way back to the living room where you were with a grin.

“Thought this might help. It’s your favourite, right?”

You simply blinked at him, stunned.

“How did you know that?”

“We’ve lived in the same apartment for months now, I think I would at least be able to notice this much,” his reply was nonchalant, but it made you feel a bit guilty since you never noticed anything about him. ‘Maybe he’s just really observant…or I’m the one who’s too ignorant of my own surroundings,’ you silently concluded.

You took a spoonful of the ice cream, followed by Konoha, and could feel your heart lightening up just a little at the coolness of the dessert. Konoha began to reach for the tv remote and switched it on, going through a selection of shows that you both could enjoy together. You turned to him when a question popped up in your mind.

“I’ve never seen this one in the fridge before. Did you just buy it?”

He looked surprised by that question, and it took him a moment to reply to it. He coughed once, as if he’s trying to cover up his increasingly red cheeks.

“Well…yeah. Uh…It’s just…I noticed that this week you looked extremely tired. I thought that maybe buying you your favourite ice cream could help make you feel better so… I picked it up on my way home just now.��

He looked away, embarrassed at his own confession. Either he’s really observant, just as you’d concluded earlier, or your fatigue and stress were that visible. Either way, you felt your heart swelled at his thoughtfulness. You choked back another sob before softly whispering a thank you. You weren’t sure whether he heard that or not, but from the corner of your eyes, you could see him turning his face back towards you and his hands softly placed atop your head.

A few more minutes passed by, and you could feel yourself calming down from the earlier outburst. With the ice cream tub in your hand and shoulder leaned against Konoha’s, you both continued to watch the show on the tv in silence, minus the occasional funny commentary you both gave towards the characters in the show.

Despite the energy it took off of you for all that crying, your eyes didn’t feel quite sleepy yet. There was still something on your mind. You glanced at Konoha. He didn’t look like he’s about to fall asleep anytime soon either.

“Hey, Konoha?”

“Hmm?”

“I’m..sorry.”

He looked at you with a puzzled look, so you continued.

“For burdening you with my problems even though we’ve barely even talked before. And speaking of that, I’m sorry for not trying harder to close the gap between us….even though we’re supposed to be housemates and all.”

Konoha looked contemplative for a moment before giving you a playful grin.

“If that’s the case, why don’t we start over then,” he replied with an outstretched hand.

“The name’s Konoha Akinori. I'm 24 years old and I work as an employee at a pharmaceutical company. I’ll be in your care from now on, roomie.”

You had to process his words for a moment before taking his outstretched hand in yours, shaking it.

“Same here…roomie.”

Your reply came with a grateful smile that graced your lips. It was the first time he’d seen that bright of a smile from you. He could feel the heavy weight in his chest lightening up. He'd been worried for you ever since he first noticed how distressed you were. Now that he finally saw the genuine smile on your face, he felt relief washed over his entire body and he found himself smiling alongside you.

"If anything ever gets too much for you, well…just know that I'm always here to help. Don’t shoulder them all by yourself.”

He ruffled your hair, messing it up even more than it already was, before standing up from the sofa.

“You should go to bed. It’s late already,” he suggested, eyes still on you. You were about to nod at his suggestion when he grinned cheekily.

“Or if you’re having trouble sleeping, I can help lull you to sleep.”

‘...this little shit.’

You narrowed your eyes at him and racked your brain to come up with a snarky comeback. You stopped yourself when you came to a sudden conclusion.

“Sure.”

“What?”

“I’d love for you to sing me a lullaby. I do wonder what kind of angelic voice you have.”

It was your turn to tease him and his eyebrows squeezed together into a frown. He turned his face away from you, but you could still see his slightly red ears. You then made your way into your bedroom, with Konoha silently following behind you.

It’s funny now that you think about it. Just a few months ago, you were struggling to hold a proper conversation with him. But now, after properly talking to him for the first time for only a couple hours, you could easily tease each other like you’ve known each other your whole life. Talking with Konoha wasn't as stifling as you had feared. The reason you were able to talk to him so casually was also thanks to him making the flow of the conversation so natural. At that moment, you genuinely admired your housemate as the man that he is.

You climbed up onto your bed while Konoha took a nearby chair in your room and placed it at your bedside.

“So you’re actually going to sing me a lullaby?”

“Shaddup.”

He gently slapped a hand on your face, covering your eyes, before heaving a sigh and started singing. It was a gentle tune, and paired with his voice, it didn’t take you long to fall into a deep slumber.

Once he saw your steady breathing, he stopped and took his hand off of your face. With his chin resting on his palm, he stared absentmindedly at your sleeping figure.

‘Did I just earn myself a housemate or a kid to babysit?’ He wondered to himself, gently scoffing at his own question. Right before he walked himself out of your room, he turned his head one last time and smiled.

“Sweet dreams, y/n.”

AKAASHI: offers to buy you a book you love and will insist if you say no

TSUKISHIMA: will dedicate a music playlist for you & will lowkey feel upset if you don’t listen to them even if he’ll say he won’t care

BOKUTO: will carry you on his back when he notices your feet are starting to hurt from walking and standing all day

KAGEYAMA: keeps himself awake as he forces his eyelids to open just to listen to your rambles in the middle of the night

IWAIZUMI: will always insist on walking you home from a date/from school just because he’s not comfortable with you going home alone

OSAMU: will study the recipe of your favorite dishes so he can personally be the one to fill your stomach with a healthy and delicious meal

After a stressful day of classes, meetings, and people bothering you all you want is to go home and cuddle with your partner.

As soon as you got home they could tell something was wrong with how you looked.

"you look like shit" they stated jokingly

"ha ha very funny, come cuddle me please" you begged

"damn was your day that bad?" the asked and you slowly nodded

"come on, let's go lay down" they grab your arm and start walking to your shared bedroom.

moments like this are what make you appreciate them the most.

𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐬 彡 In which . . . you help him relax after a long day.

Your body is sprawled out on the couch reading a book, waiting for your lover to walk through the door of your shared home. After a while, you hear the clicking of the door knob and the familiar footsteps begin to patter against the floor of the hallway and towards the living room. You close your book and stand up to greet your lover, but before you can say anything, he grabs you by the shoulders and holds you close. His arms wrap around your waist, head rested on your shoulder, and breath tickling your exposed collarbone.

"Rough day?" You ask as you rub his back. His only response is a hum in agreement.

"I missed you today..." He whispers before kissing your collarbone slowly and sweetly, the small contact sending sparks blooming out in the small circles where his lips meet your skin. "I missed you too." You say as your hands wrap around his neck and hold him closer.

You both stay like that for a while until you feel your lovers arms loosen slightly. He's exhausted.

"Honey, can you walk with me to the bathroom?" A low groan came from his throat, "Just a little more." He mumbled tightening his grip around your waist. "Love, you need to relax, let me help you." He tsks before loosely grabbing your hand as both of you walk to the bathroom.

You maneuver to your shared bedroom and grab a change of clothes and a towel for your lover. You walk back into the bathroom and prepare the bath, you add his favorite scented essence and throw in a musk scented bath bomb. Then you help him out of his work clothes and into the tub.

His body instantly eases at the warmth of the water and the intoxicating scent of fresh musk. You sit on a small stool next to the bath and begin massaging his back and shoulders. Goosebumps rise as your hand works. You smile to yourself, loving the fact that your intimate touches make him so sensitive.

When your hands start aching you stop and rest your arms on the side of the bathtub and resting your cheek on the top of your hand as you stare at your sleepy but content lover.

His eyes are closed, and you take your time admiring his existence. His messy hair resting nicely on his head, thick, long lashes defining the shape of his eyes, cheekbones forming his divine face, his lips peachy and so kissable, strong, toned arms resting on the sides of the tub, his chiseled abs dripping with the warm water-

"Like what you see love?" He taunts, a smirk playing on his lips, and his half lidded eyes betray any kind of stress he had not too long ago. You feel your cheeks getting dusted with the beginnings of a crimson blush but look away from him quickly before he catches any of it. As you do so, he chuckles and snakes a hand towards your chin, tilting your head so your gaze can meet his again.

"It's all yours baby. Every inch of me is yours." He says, reassurance lacing with his smoky voice. He stares into your eyes for what feels like infinity before licking his lips and pulling you closer so he can finally plant a sweet kiss onto yours.

You absolutely loved moments like this with him. Both of you did.
