"hahh, baby, please... 'm sorry." Satoru whines under you, his cock leaking so much pre cum it was absolutely torturous. It's been like this for hours on end, he just wanted to cum so bad.
You keep telling him this was his punishment for hanging around with some low-leveled bitch. You normally are able to keep your cool, but you had to remind him whose pussy he cries over almost every night, who he cums in like a pathetic whore. And that's exactly what he was doing, his hands tied behind his back and his blindfold around his neck, hanging loosely. Every muscle in his body is twitching with every torturous slow thrust as you kept hopping up and down on his cock. He could feel you so well, burying his dick inside of you just to keep him there and tease him. He felt you leaking all over him, down to his balls and on the sheets, knowing damn well you want this as much as he does.
You weren't talking to him. You didn't say anything to him, no matter how much he begged you. It was like he was fucking a fleshlight, the only difference is you were dripping and moaning, clenching around him so deliciously.
"baby—nnggh!" His eyes were on the back of his head, his tongue sticking out like a true slut, like he was taking a porn shot. "Faster, go fucking faster..." He groans, getting fussy. It wasn't like he couldn't break from these ropes, he just knew he deserved what he was getting. He made his baby so jealous of a woman that didn't even see the real him, he should be punished like this.
"do I need to put your blindfold inside your mouth for you to actually shut up?" Your words were cold, you sounded so upset as if you weren't being impaled on his cock right now, as if you weren't leaking every single drop of arousal out of your cunt, squelching. "You're so f-fuckin' bipolar... wanna be s' strong n' shit." You lazily growl as you watch his cock disappear and reappear inside of you. A smirk forms on your face.
"tell me it's only me who you want."
Satoru was quick to say exactly what you wanted; "i-it is, baby, it is! I don't want no other woman, no one else but you. Only y'er pussy around me, only you, m' pretty girl..." He rambles uselessly, bucking his hips up into your hole, thinking he finally earned his orgasm.
You could feel your heart finally being tugged by his precious words from every single pet name he was calling you. You let your full body weight sink down until his lap, finally allowing his cock to travel inside the deepest areas. You could feel the tip pressing against your cervix, that precious prominent vein stroking against your g-spot at last. You lower your head into the crook of his neck, and that's when you can hear the snap of the ropes around his wrist.
"finally, pretty baby..." he seems to be an absolute bliss, growling almost as he holds onto your hips, preparing to hammer you down on his dick. "Can I give it to you? Can I finally fuck that cunt full of cum? Show you how I would only treat you, what everyone else is is missing out on?"
You feverishly nod, feeling the after effects of you teasing yourself. "Yeah, 'toru. Gimmie it. Fuck me."
You of course did not need to tell him twice. His hands gripped you firmly and held onto your ass before he started to lift you off his cock effortlessly, slamming you back down. He couldn't help but moan like a bitch when he hit inside that pussy, feeling all your juices splashing on him, able to feel your sticky mess properly. He leaned his head on the bed board and allowed his hands to have a mind of their own, taking his time to listen to every euphoric moan that escaped your sweet lips. The pleasure was killing him, something he was waiting for to finally feel. He couldn't help it when he was about to cum already.
He held himself back to make sure you were able to squirt and cream all over his cock before he finally filled you up.
He was so tired of edging he couldn't even be able to tease you and talk dirty to you like he normally would, being that perverted bastard he was. Satoru started to make you bounce up and down faster, your boobs pressing against his face, able to feel the soft flesh under his chin and on his chest. he had a pussy drunk smirk on his face as he saw the lewd expression you had, so ahego like from one of those hentia films.
All his, and he was all yours.
At some point he couldn't handle it no more, he actually completely dropped all of his dignity and his cock twitched stupidly inside your sopping cunt, moaning loud for you. "Come on, don't make me—" Satoru blabbered uselessly to himself.
You have no idea what he was telling you to do, as if the sounds of his balls slapping your skin wasn't loud enough to distract all of your thoughts. You felt a knot in your stomach, the familiar sensation as your cunt started to clench like you wanted to strangle his cock and keep it inside. You finally understand; you're both about to cum at the same time, sharing such a pleasure.
"'toru, 'm right there, keep going!" You panted like a dog in heat desperately, your nails clawing into his shoulders and making tiny crescent shapes. Your moans went right into his red ears, making his eyes shut in pleasure.
Satoru allowed himself to soak up every clench that your cunt delivered to his cock, wet walls stroking his veins. He nods vastly as he pumped you, currently helping you both reach your precious orgasms. "Yesyesyes, cum for me, pretty girl, make a mess with me." He starts to drool.
Your back arches, your breast flushed against his chest as you started to flutter around his cock, the way your face twists in pleasure made his mind fog and balls tighten, his body giving in.
Along with you, white ropes of seed paint inside your walls, both of your moans mixing in the sex filled room. He lets his cock warm inside your walls as you squeeze out your last drops of sweet cum onto him, making sounds and cooing. "Oh, take it all, baby, fuuuck me."
He gazes at you, smirking slightly and cupping your cheeks. You looked so cute like that, face all red and the tip of your tongue out, eyes dewy from unleashed tears, lashes wet. He plants a sweet kiss on your lips, taking in all your heavy breathing.
"just because you made me cum doesn't mean I forgive you." You breathlessly warn him. He rolled his eyes at his salty you were still being, kissing the corner of your lips just to keep close to your pretty fucked out face. "If I make you cum again, will you forgive me baby?"
"or do you just wanna use my pussy?" You quickly retort.
"you act as if you don't spell your name on my cock all night. I'm yours, and you're mine."

Hi, love your work.
I was thinking a maybe a break up and make up fic with:
Angst Prompt 31. “You broke me! You ruined everything we had and- for what?”
Fluff prompt 7. “You’re the only person I want to spend my life with”
With Eddie Munson/Y/N Henderson or Y/N Wheeler. A sister from one of the main party.
Eddie and Y/N have been together before season 1. Season 1 happens, Y/N was there. Resulting in her getting closer to Steve or Jonathan, to which Eddie thinks Y/N is cheating on him. Even catches Steve/Jonathan comforting Y/N and gets the wrong idea. They break up. The younger brother of Y/N tells Eddie off and makes him rethink things. Leading to them getting back together.
Thank you so much! I hope this is what you wanted and you enjoy it. Thank you for requesting 🫶🏻
Friends? Or something else?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Y/N Wheeler was quite different from her sister, Nancy. Nancy liked the boy next door vibe, and Y/N liked the rebel bad boy. Y/N didn't see what Nancy ever saw in Steve in the beginning. But he turned out to be a sweet guy when Nancy stomped on his heart.
She felt bad for Steve, but Y/N wanted to spend her free time with Eddie. It was no shock that the two fell for each other. Eddie was exactly her type, the leather, the attitude, and the nasty mouth he kissed her with.
Anyone could see she was smitten with the boy. She kissed the ground he walked on. She would do anything he asked, and do it happily.
It was a shame all he did was doubt her love for him
~~~
Eddie and Steve didn't really get along. Back when Nancy and Steve were together, the sisters loved double dates.
As Y/N fed Eddie fries and shared chocolate milkshakes, Nancy and Steve would argue across from them. Half of their double dates ended with Eddie and Y/N sneaking off.
Eddie didn't like the way Steve carried himself. He thought he was so superior compared to the rest of them and that didn't sit well with Eddie. And Y/N thought the same. She hated the way he treated Eddie.
Y/N just couldn't get along with Steve.
Until Nancy broke up with him and he finally showed his true self.
She couldn't lie. She felt bad for Steve. He showed up to their house with flowers but Nancy was already out with friends. Y/N couldn't leave him outside and alone. She let him in and before she knew it she was comforting him.
He cried into her arms as he talked about how Nancy was all he had left.
"I'll be here for you, I promise."
And she meant it. Whenever Steve called, she listened to what he had to say. Nancy was a little bothered at first. She found it weird her ex-boyfriend was using her little sister as a shoulder. But then Steve began to change, in a way Nancy thought wasn't possible.
The friendship helped Steve and Nancy accept that. It even helped get them back on normal speaking terms.
Eddie hated it, though. He hated having Y/N in his lap, rocking her hips against his. His tongue battled hers as the music played through his shitty speakers.
"Wheeler, call for Wheeler."
Steve's voice cut through the moment like a knife. The static voice worked its way through the talkie and Y/N pulled back.
"One second," she whispered.
Eddie felt his stomach turn as she grabbed the talkie and went outside. He wanted to trust her, he so badly did. But it was so hard when she'd always leave the room to talk to him. Why can't she talk to him in front of her boyfriend? It meant she was hiding something.
She had to be cheating on him.
And the thought of it broke his heart.
The one time he was in love, she found someone else.
~
What Eddie didn't know was that Steve and Y/N found themselves thrown into some type of supernatural portal. Something called the upside down? She wasn't quite sure what it all meant yet, but all she knew was that she and Steve fought hand in hand for months on end.
The world seemed to be back to normal and they wanted to keep it that way. She didn't want Eddie to get dragged into all of it. She'd never forgive herself if something happened to him. So she demanded every single one in the gang keep what happened a secret.
It was sworn that Eddie never found out what happened a few months back.
As a result of being at war with Steve, meant their friendship grew so strong that they truly became best friends. They leaned on each other when they needed it the most.
Eddie didn't understand how one minute she hated Steve and the next, she ran the second he called. He knew something happened between them. He tried to piece together a timeline, but he drew blanks.
~
She bounced back into the trailer with an apologetic smile on her face.
"Steve needs to talk some stuff out. He got in a fight with his dad. Can we raincheck the movie?" she asked
Eddie fought the urge to roll his eyes. He wasn't surprised.
"Sure thing," Eddie smiled. He was good at pretending that nothing was wrong. So well that she had no idea she was ruining their relationship the more she picked Steve.
~~~
"Do you think you'll come to the hideout tonight?" Eddie asked as he wrapped his arms around Y/N. Her back to his chest as she crammed books in her locker.
His lips kissed her neck as he swayed them back and forth.
"Ew, get a room." Nancy gagged, but a smile on her face. Nancy loved seeing her sister in love. She was the main reason Nancy ended things with Steve.
Nancy wanted what Y/N and Eddie had, and she didn't feel like she did with Steve.
"Um, I'm sorry but I don't think I can." Y/N cringed as Eddie's touch was gone in a second.
Nancy sensed the air change and quickly left them alone. Nancy knew tonight was a meeting with the gang, they were worried the upside down was opening again. But Eddie couldn't know.
"Don't even tell me it's because you'll be with Steve." Eddie snapped.
Y/N felt nervous to turn around. She gulped as she turned around, that same apologetic look in her eyes.
"Why now? Can he just go to fucking therapy and stop using my girlfriend?"
"Eds, be nice," she tried, but she could tell by the look on his face that he was strongly irritated.
"What's wrong?" she asked, she reached to wrap her arms around his neck. She didn't hide the pain she felt when he backed away.
"What's wrong? What's wrong is that my girlfriend doesn't seem to give a shit that I exist." Eddie spat, he wanted to keep his anger in check but he couldn't help but sound pissed.
"Of course I do! Tonight I just had prior plans."
"Cancel and come with me," Eddie said, his voice soft as he grabbed her hand. He turned his puppy eyes to her as he begged.
"I can't cancel, Eds." She sighed sadly
The anger washed up as quickly as it washed away.
He dropped her hand like it burned. Her hand was dead against her side as it dangled.
"Why not?" he challenged
"They all need me, baby," she said softly
Eddie shook his head and chuckled darkly.
"They do or Steve does?"
"Eddie, you know it's not like that, right?" She said, her heart broke as she watched the insecurity flash across his face. Had he been upset about Steve all this time? Was she a horrible girlfriend for not noticing?
"Just sometimes I need my girlfriend too," he said sadly, then walked off.
"Eddie, no wait," she said, she grabbed his hand. She felt her throat close up as he sniffled.
"Forget it. I'll tell you about the show whenever I see you."
"Eddie, please. I'm sorry." she tried, she wanted to tell him the truth but she couldn't.
"I know, I'll see you later," he said, his mouth in a tight line as he walked away.
~
Y/N couldn't focus during the meeting. Her brain focused on the little fight with Eddie. Had she been neglecting him? She would never intentionally hurt him and she hated that she still did.
Steve was listening to Dustin when he heard sniffles. He looked beside him and watched as Y/N silently cried. Her head down as she used her shirt to catch the tears.
"You okay?" Steve whispered in her ear
"Course," she said, putting on a fake smile as she looked at him
But looking at Steve made her think of Eddie. And thinking of Eddie caused a loud sob to escape.
The gang all looked in her direction. Nancy and Mike watched with concern as she stood up.
"Sorry, need a minute." she apologized, she raced up the stairs and closed the basement door behind her.
She dropped her body on the front step and let the sobs take over her body. She cried into her hands as the afternoon played through her head on an endless loop.
Steve followed behind her, he sat next to her and he wrapped his arms around her. She turned her body into his and sobbed. Her wet tears soaked his shirt as she sobbed.
"What is going on?" he whispered, he gently rubbed her back as she tried to get ahold of herself.
She told him everything that happened, Steve felt a puddle of guilt in his stomach. He pulled her away, it was his fault Eddie was upset.
They were lost in their own world, no idea that as Steve placed a comforting kiss on her forehead Eddie was in the driveway.
Eddie's heavy feet stomped towards them. They jumped apart hearing his boots crunch the sticks below.
Steve stood up and held his hands in defense
"Munson, I swear it-" but he didn't get to finish his sentence.
Eddie went at him, a huge right punch connected straight against Steve's eye. Steve crumbled to the grass instantly as he held his eye.
"EDDIE!" Y/N gasped, she quickly jumped in front of Steve as Eddie went to charge forward.
"Not like that right?" Eddie spat, his voice filled with venom as he shot her words right back at her.
"Eddie," Steve groaned as he stood up. He looked at Eddie with one eye, holding the bruising one. "It's not what you think, I swear."
"I don't give a single fuck about what you have to say" Eddie hissed as he pointed at Steve over Y/N's shoulder.
"Steve, can you give us a second?" Y/N asked, but her eyes never left Eddie.
Once she heard the front door shut, she took a deep breath.
"How could you do this to me?" Eddie asked, his voice cracked as the first round of tears fell down his face. "We were so in love. You used to love me so much. You used to never leave my side and now? Now I can barely remember the last time we even had sex."
"Oh Eddie," she whimpered as she stepped forward and held his face in her hands. She cried seeing him cry. "We are in love! I still love you. I love you more and more every day. I'm sorry I've gotten so caught up with Steve but I promise you it is not because I have feelings for him. I didn't know you were missing me so much."
"How could you know? You won't see me for more than ten minutes." he snapped, he grabbed her hands and shoved them off of his face. She tried to ignore the drop of her heart.
"You're right. I am so sorry. Talk to me, let's talk it out."
"I don't think I even want to anymore," he confessed. YN shook her head as she panicked.
"No, baby, You can do it, just tell me what you are feeling, please," she begged, she fought hard not to touch him. All she wanted was to wrap her arms around him but she couldn't tell if he wanted her to touch him.
"You broke me! You ruined everything we had and- for what?" Eddie said, he lashed out as his tears turned into anger. His voice rose. "For Steve? I mean how could you even do this to Nancy?"
"She doesn't care because she knows we are just friends!" Y/N argued. "Like I've told you! There is nothing between him and I."
"YOU AND I USED TO BE FRIENDS, SHIT CHANGES Y/N!" he screamed, no doubt letting the neighbors know a fight was breaking out
"That's different." she cried, tears falling down her face.
"HOW?" he screamed as he stepped closer. Right in her face as he demanded his answer.
"BECAUSE I WAS ALREADY IN LOVE WITH YOU, ASSHOLE. I KNEW I LOVED YOU AND I HAD TO PRETEND I DIDN'T BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO LOSE YOU AS A FRIEND. THAT IS WHY IT IS DIFFERENT. I'VE NEVER WANTED TO KISS STEVE OR WONDERED WHAT HE TASTED LIKE. IT'S ALWAYS BEEN YOU!" she cried, it hurt to have him so close and not touch him. She wanted to have the right words to say.
"Then why has it only been Steve, lately?" Eddie asked, breaking down as the words left his tongue. More tears fell as he looked into her eyes. He used to see through her, but something happened and her eyes never told him the truth anymore.
"I can't tell you because it would kill me if you got hurt because of me." She watched as he nodded and choked back his tears. His red eyes looked into hers.
"You've been hurting me for months, and you are still breathing," her heart shattered as he began to step back, "Steve or not, it's clear you don't have the time for me. Take me off that full plate you have."
"Eddie, please don't" she sobbed as he kept stepping back. With each step he took, she made that step forward.
"If you ever truly loved me, you'll let me heal from you. I don't deserve to feel second best by my own girlfriend."
With those words, she stopped. She planted her feet in the grass as he turned around. She covered her mouth as he got in his van. Before he closed the door, she yelled his name.
He looked over at her
"I need you to know that I'm doing what you asked. I'll leave you alone and give you the space you need because it'll prove that I love you. Even if it kills me to never be with you again."
She watched as he didn't say a word, just closing his door and taking off down the road.
~~~
Mike had seen both his sisters experience breakups, but nothing as bad as Y/N.
It's been a week since the breakup, and Y/N barely leaves her room. She came out to use the bathroom, sometimes she'd sit in the kitchen and stare at the phone. She'd pray that he would call, but she knew he wouldn't. After a few hours, she'd go right back up to her room.
"Poor girl. I've never seen her so heartbroken." Karen said as she sat down at the dinner table. "Has she done any of the schoolwork she missed?"
"Barely, I've turned in a few of her assignments." Nancy said, "She won't even talk to me about it."
"Shame on that boy for hurting her," Karen said as she shook her head, "I wish I could smack some sense into him."
His mom's words gave Mike an idea.
~
The next morning Mike biked to Eddie's trailer. It was a Saturday morning so he knew Eddie would be rotting in bed.
He was done seeing his sister lose herself
and he was done with Eddie's cranky ass during Hellfire.
He threw his bike into the dirt as he raced up to Eddie's trailer. He pounded on the door.
"Wheeler?" Eddie said confused, his eyes half open as he yawned.
"We need to talk," Mike snapped, letting himself in the trailer and sitting on the couch.
"Great, another fight with a wheeler," Eddie mumbled to himself.
"What can I help you with?" Eddie asked as he stood.
"Why does it look like you are sleeping on the couch?" Mike asked with sass as he pushed the bundle of blankets out of his way. "Bedroom reeks of all the random girls you've been sleeping with?" he hissed.
"Woah, little Wheeler. What I do in my bedroom is none of your business. What makes you think I'm sleeping with random girls? Is that how your sister is dealing with the breakup?" Eddie asked, he couldn't help but get mad at his own words.
"Oh shut your mouth," Mike snapped, "my sister isn't this whore you claim her to be."
"I know, that was uncalled for," Eddie said, "how...how is she?" he couldn't help but ask. It had been eating him up all week. He hadn't seen her once, hadn't heard her voice, and it killed him. He had no idea if she was breaking apart or completely fine with Eddie gone.
"Answer my question first," Mike demanded, he got off the couch and walked to Eddie's room. If there was a girl in there, Mike swore he'd kill Eddie before the upside-down had the chance.
"WHEELER!" Eddie yelled but Mike carried on. He flew Eddie's door open. And it was empty. The bed set is perfectly made, with a flower on the pillow with a note attached.
"And what slut is this for? Moving on already?" Mike snapped. He reached forward and grabbed the note.
"Give me that!" Eddie snapped back, snatching the note from his hands. "I'm not sleeping with anyone, okay? I haven't been in here since the breakup. She made my bed that morning and wrote me a note, and this was the first flower someone had given me. I just wanted to leave everything the way she touched it." Eddie explained. The room held too many memories, and it smelled of her.
"Can we talk in the living room?"
Mike nodded, knowing not to push Eddie further.
They walked back into the living room as Eddie closed his bedroom door. Eddie took a seat next to Mike.
"She's heartbroken," Mike said, Eddie looked over at him. "She doesn't eat, barely sleeps, and stares at the phone the second school ends until she knows you are asleep. She's miserable and it's all your fault!" Mike said, pissed at Eddie for hurting his sister. Mike stood up so he could tower over Eddie, by a little.
"You broke her and you better fix it!"
"I didn't do anything, Mike. You are too young to understand, but our relationship wasn't the same." Eddie sighed. He did feel awful hearing about how bad she was doing. Guilt in his bones as he pictured her staring at the phone.
There were so many times he wanted to call. At one point he didn't care if she ever had feelings for Steve, he wanted to be with her anyway. He'd watch her kiss Steve a thousand times if she still picked Eddie to come home to.
"I might be young, but I'm not an idiot. Steve never liked her, he is still hung up on Nancy. And Y/N never liked Steve more than a friend. Hell, she barely understood what Nancy saw in him because he wasn't you. She is so in love with you that you are literally the only guy she sees worthy. I don't blame you for wanting to protect yourself. But she has been killing herself to protect you."
"But I don't understand why she can't tell me! We've been in a relationship for over a year, and she still has these secrets!" Eddie argued.
"It's not her secret to tell! It's mine, okay?" Mike said, Eddie looked at him confused. "What I'm about to tell you is going to sound insane. But you have to believe me. It'll explain why Y/N thought it would protect you to keep you out of it."
Eddie sat and listened as Mike explained what happened over the past year. The upside down and the battles. How Y/N and Steve got thrown together and they could only turn to each other because of it. But it all made sense. She kept promising she couldn't tell because if he got hurt, it would kill her. Because if Eddie got hurt, he wouldn't survive.
~~~
Eddie waited a day before he picked up the phone. He felt nervous as he dialed the number he knew by heart.
It rang for a second before a voice appeared on the other end
"Hello, Y/N speaking,"
Eddie closed his eyes at the sadness in her voice.
"Hey, darling. It's, uh me, Eddie." He stuttered out
"I knew it was you by the first word," she laughed sadly. She hated how hard it seemed to talk to him. Like she didn't know what to say.
"Right," he chuckled, "I was hoping we could talk? Maybe better in person?" He drummed his hands against the wall as he heard her breathing heavily through the phone.
"Yeah, um when and where?" Her voice cracked as she blinked back her tears. This was the final moment, he wanted to break it off officially. She gave him his space and he was ready for it to be forever.
"Please don't cry, sweetheart." He begged, choking up himself as he listened to her.
"I'm fine!" She lied, "Just tell me when and where."
"My place and the sooner the better."
He clenched his eyes in pain as she whimpered and let out a soft okay before the phone went dead.
~
She drove over to his trailer, unable to keep the tears back.
She was scared to see him again. She barely kept it together hearing his voice again. She didn't want to cry when she saw him, but it was all she had been doing for the past week.
Eddie was against his trailer smoking a cigarette when she pulled up. She took another deep breath as she turned off the car. Even having that small glimpse sent her head into a spiral.
Eddie smashed his cigarette as she walked up to him. She wore one of his old hoodies, and a pair of sweats she stole after their first movie date. Her eyes were majority swollen and red. Her nose was red as she rubbed it with his sleeve.
"Hi, sweets" Eddie cooed, as he opened his arms. Within seconds her body crashed into his as she wrapped her arms around him. He wrapped his arms around her. He rested his chin on her head, inhaling her scent. He kissed her head, and every painful feeling in his body melted away.
She sobbed as she inhaled his clothes. All she wanted was to be with him again, and she was. She kept squeezing him tighter, hoping he'd feel closer.
"Don't cry, my love," he said into her hair, rubbing her back.
"I missed you so much," she sobbed, "it was so hard to give you the space you wanted."
"I missed you too, baby girl. I'm so sorry I made you give me space. I'm so sorry for the mess I made since I didn't communicate when I should have. Let's go inside." He let go of her body but laced his hand with hers as they walked into the trailer. Eddie led her to his room, he opened the door and closed it behind him. She refused to let go of his hand, but he didn't ask her to.
She wasn't sure how long she'd have before he wanted space again. He sat beside her as she looked around his room. She noticed it was the same as a week ago, but she didn't say anything.
instead of sitting next to her, he dropped to his knees and rested his head on her lap. She smiled and ran her fingers through his hair, she scratched his head in the way he loves.
"I'm sorry for fucking this up. I should have trusted you, I'm sorry I didn't. I thought I needed space, but all it did was make me miss you." He melted into her touch as her fingers continued to run through his hair. "I'm so in love with you. I wasn't used to sharing you and I felt like I was losing you." His puppy eyes looked up at her as he sat up on his knees.
He laced his hands with hers and rested them on her lap
"I'm sorry for not realizing how much I was hurting you. You are the only boy I'd ever want. I love you and that won't ever change." She said she unlaced their hands so she could cup his face. Her thumbs rubbed his wet cheeks as she leaned in and placed her lips on his.
Eddie wrapped his arms around her waist, his palms resting on her back as he kissed her back. Eddie straightened himself as he deepened the kiss. He kept his lips on hers as he pushed her back and stood up. Her back was against his mattress as he climbed on top of her. The kiss grew more intense and hungry as her hands moved to his stomach. His right hand rested on her cheek, he moaned as he slipped his tongue inside her mouth.
The kiss sent goosebumps rising on her skin. The feelings she felt when she kissed Eddie never went away, it was always butterflies and needing more.
Eddie pulled away for air, his eyes soaking her in. She was slow to open her eyes but when she did she was staring into Eddie's.
“You’re the only person I want to spend my life with” she whispered
"Just like the note said." he smiled
"Just like the note said," she laughed. Already missing his lips, she placed her hand on the back of his neck and brought his lips to hers. She frowned when Eddie pulled back a little, not letting their lips meet.
"Before I get carried away with you," Eddie winked, she blushed and bit her lip. "Will you be my girl again?"
"I never stopped,"
Eddie smiled and smashed his lips back on hers. They hungrily touched each other, showing how much they missed it and never wanted space again.

Pick 196. Pick One hundred and ninety-six. A failure, that’s what she was. How did she fall that far down the draft? It didn’t matter what the real reason was, everyone loved to make up their own reasons. The most popular one being that she was a girl. Apparently, the only redeeming quality about her was her last name and the five other people who shared it with her.
She didn’t even know why they were having this party for her. There was nothing to celebrate. Her mom would argue differently, saying she paved the way for women in the NHl but to y/n? What more did it matter if she was drafted 196?
Standing outside in the backyard, a red solo cup filled with peach tea snapple and a few ice cubes clutched in her hand, y/n watched as everyone interacted with everyone else but her. Aunts and Uncles interacted with her brothers, her mom and dad caught up with more extended family members, her own friends off in the corner talking with each other, her brother’s friends were scattered about all drinking some type of alcohol (except for a few of Luke’s friends).
The only words she had gotten from people tonight was, “Congratulations” and “Sorry you got drafted to the Sharks”
While the Sharks weren’t technically the worst team in the league - there were the ducks, the hawks, columbus -, they sure made the list of bottom tier teams. It was just another constant reminder that the team that had basically chosen her as a last resort was a crappy one at that, another reminder that she was in fact labeled as not good enough by everyone and their grandma.
She had to get out of there. Everything was starting to become too suffocating. The outcome of the draft, the plethora of news articles, the thousands of trolls wanting to bring her down, the party that was for her but no one seemed to actually be there for her. She maneuvered through the crowd of people, walking into her house.
The moment she stepped into the living, she felt a brief weight of relief wash over her. However, it wasn’t enough, she needed to be alone (with her thoughts). So, she continued her pursuit up the stairs and down the hallway to her own room. Everyone’s doors were closed and hers was as well. She walked in and flopped down on her bed, sighing in contempt.
The room quickly became her safe space for the night. She had a few snacks leftover scattered from when her friends came over earlier in the week, some unopened water bottles littered about as well. Her bedroom connected to the bathroom so she wouldn’t have to worry about running into someone if she ended up drinking too much water or just had the urge to shower later in the night.
She stared at the picture frame on her nightstand. It was the night of Luke’s draft, everyone was in their jerseys except for her. She was wearing an old white cardigan, a gray shirt underneath it. Her jeans were white as well, a little stain slowly appearing at the top of her knee. She was standing next to Quinn, Luke next to him and Jack at the other end. She was smiling brightly and in hindsight she couldn’t figure out if she stood out because of the white she was wearing or the jersey she wasn’t.
She remembered that night, the night she promised herself and silently promised her family members that she would be just like the three brothers. That she would be drafted in the first round, that she could hold up a 6 or a 9 or even a 2, right alongside them in her own jersey. That night she promised her family that she would not let them down, and now here she is two years later doing exactly the opposite of what she wanted to do.
It must’ve been an hour before she heard voices outside her door, one male and one female. The female one was distinctly her mom’s, she knew that before she could even think about it. The other was harder to decipher, there being four males it could’ve been. But the way he talked and the language he used, it was very obvious that the voice had been Quinn’s.
“Mom please, let me talk to her.”
“Quinn, I know how much you want to help… But I think I should handle this one. No offense, honey, but it’s different for her. Not only is she a girl, but she’s your sister, and Jack’s and Luke’s. She’s always going to be compared to you, just like how everyone compares Luke to you and your brother. It’s worse.”
Quinn teared up a little but quickly blinked them away, “Please.”
She sighed, looking between her eldest child and the door to where her youngest was sitting, “Fine. But come get me as soon as she says she wants me.”
He nods and turns to the door himself, knocking softly on it, “Y/n/n?”
“Go away.”
He gave Ellen a look but she only shrugged and walked away, “You asked for it.”
“Come on, bug.”
“Don’t call me that.”
“Nugget. Munchkin. Squirt. I’ve got nicknames for days, bug.”
“Come in.”
Quinn pulled on the handle but realized it was locked, “It’s locked.”
“You want to come in, you figure out a way in here.”
He groaned in annoyance, “Please, y/n/n. Just let me in.”
He heard footsteps and then the lock unlocked and he opened the door. She was sitting up on her bed, the frame on her nightstand was now cracked. He frowned before closing the door and making his way over to the bed, “What’s going on?”
“Nothing.”
“Bullshit.”
“It’s stupid.”
“If it’s making you upset, bug, it’s not.”
“I feel like a failure.”
“You what?” Quinn’s heart broke at her confession, “Why would you say that?”
She reached over, grabbed the frame, tracing over the cracks, and watched as a tear slid down her face, onto the glass. She didn’t say anything for a moment, and then she finally spoke, “Because I made a promise to myself that day.”
The boy’s eyebrows furrowed in confusion, silently telling her to continue, “I promised myself that I would be just as good as you three. That when I was drafted I could hold my number alongside you. That I could prove that I deserved to be here.”
If his heart wasn’t broken before, it sure was now. He quickly took out his phone to text his brothers to come to her room, asap. Pocketing his phone, he wrapped an arm around her shoulder, pulling her towards him. She leaned her head on his chest as silent tears dampened his shirt.
He simply kissed her head and rubbed a hand up and down her one arm. A few minutes later they both heard the patter of footsteps and she pulled back to look at him, wiping her tears away, “I don’t want anyone to see me like this.”
“It’s just Jack and Luke.”
“Even worse.”
The two younger boys stood in the doorway, “What’s happening?”
Quinn motioned for them to come in and then close the door. The two followed the directions and both sat on the bed beside the others. Jack looked between his older and his youngest sibling, “You were crying.”
She only nodded and Luke frowned at her response. Moments passed of just silence, no one daring to speak. Jack and Luke desperately wanted to know what had caused their sister to be upset but they were too nervous to ask, so they sat there. And then she said, “It’s fine, guys.”
“It’s not, y/n.”
“Okay can someone tell us what happened?”
“Noth-”
“She feels like a failure.”
“She what-” “You what-”
Y/n looked down, playing with her fingers to distract herself as the frame still sat in her lap. Luke’s voice cracked, “Why?”
“Because, I’m not as good as you.”
“Who said that?”
“Only everyone in the hockey world.”
“What are you talking about?”
“Don’t act fucking stupid, Luke. All of you. You’re on your phones way too much not to see it. The comments, the articles, everything. ‘Oh she only got drafted because she’s a Hughes’ ‘She’s not good enough’ ‘No wonder the Sharks picked her’ God it doesn’t stop. And all because I’m a girl.” More words spewed out of her mouth and the three sat there, silent, not moving in an inch, scared that if they did it would trigger her more.
When the tears and other emotions caught up to her, she felt like she couldn’t breathe again. She was embarrassed she had let out her true feelings, ones she knew would hurt them. Quinn reached out for her but she shook her head, “I’m- I’m going to go find mom.”
And then she walked away, leaving the boys in her room, speechless.
✧༺✎༻∞
Y/n spent the night with Ellen, crying into her arms as she comforted her, questioning whether or not she even wanted to play in the NHL at all. It all seemed useless to her, what good could she do except make herself look like a fool? Ellen was heartbroken at the words that came out of her daughter's mouth but she knew how she felt. It was common for any woman, no matter which sport or which workplace they were in, they would feel inferior to those around her.
Slipping from the bed, Ellen made her way downstairs to start making breakfast for y/n. When she got down there, she was surprised to see her three sons already in the kitchen, Quinn making pancakes as Jack helped Luke set up a tray they had sitting on the counter. She ran a hand through her hair before walking over to stand next to her eldest, placing a hand on his back, “Hi mom.”
“Hi, what are you guys doing up this early?”
“Making breakfast.”
“Okay, let me rephrase. Why are you up so early making breakfast?”
Quinn looked between his brothers before looking back at his mom, “For y/n.”
Jack nodded from his place at the table, “We felt bad for last night.”
Ellen frowned briefly before smiling, “You boys did nothing wrong. It’s just that when you’re constantly compared to your siblings, especially when you're always going to be undermined anyway, it gets a lot. She still loves you.”
They all let a small smile grace their lips turning back to what they were doing. It was only a few more minutes before Quinn was setting the last pancake onto the plate alongside some of her other favorite foods.
They somehow managed to make their way upstairs without dropping the tray and knocked on her door. Their mom called up the stairs, “She’s still in my room!”
The three looked at each other in annoyance at having to now carry the tray slightly further down the hallway. Y/n let out a soft ‘come in’ when she heard the knock and sat up, running her hands through her hair in order to get it less messy. She looked confused when she saw her brothers enter with a tray full of food, “What’re you guys doing?”
“We made you breakfast.” Jack said happily, jumping onto the bed next to her.
Quinn set the tray down over her stretched out legs before also sitting down next to her, Luke taking the place near her feet. She tilted her head, “Is it bad?”
“Quinn cooked.”
“Ah, so decent at best.” She laughed a little as she picked up the fork and took a bite of the eggs on her plate.
After she ate a few bites, Quinn spoke up, “We’re sorry for last night.”
She took a sip of her drink and then looked at them, “You guys didn’t do anything wrong.”
“We know, but we’re sorry for not understanding how you feel.”
“And for excluding you at your party.”
She only shrugged and went back in for more of her food, but Jack stopped her hand, “Hey.”
She looked between them annoyed, “What?”
“You’re the best hockey player we know.”
“Sure-”
“It’s true, y/n/n. You have had to put up with so much and you continue to prove yourself to you, to your team and your coach, who cares what anyone else thinks.”
“And you don’t have to prove you deserve to be in the NHL, you do. Whether you know it or not.”
She teared up at their words, tackling Quinn into a hug afterward. Jack steadied the tray, careful not to spill anything onto the sheets. They joined the hug shortly after, smiling at the task of cheering her up was accomplished.
“Thank you.”
In hindsight, it wasn’t the approval of everyone else she needed, not the praise from anyone else, just her brothers. And if her brothers thought she was good enough, she did too.

the day you and megumi broke up was the worst day of gojo satoru's life.
now, not only did he have to deal with a moody teenager at home, he also had to deal with you at school.
"what do you mean you both broke up?"
"it means we're no longer together."
"but — but WHY?"
"reasons," megumi deadpanned, not taking his eyes away from the tv in front of him. gojo watched him for a minute and when it became clear that the kid wasn't gonna cry and ask him for help so that he could win you back, he knew exactly what he had to do.
a few blocks away, you had just finished tearing up over a sad song which reminded you of your current predicament when your phone pinged with a new notification.
you reached over to dig your phone up from the pile of pillows thrown on your bed and almost threw it out of the window when the name 'sea urchin🥊💍' stared back up at you.
you snapped back from your trance when it pinged again — and again and again and again until you couldn't take it anymore and opened the messages, your heartbeat echoing in your ears.
sea urchin🥊💍

i am going to sleep now last chance
come onnnnnnnnnn
hello this is his dad do u care about megumi
on the other side, gojo was furiously trying his best to make it seem like it was megumi who was texting you and so far, he was absolutely convinced that he was getting the hang of it. it was only when the phone buzzed with a new notification that his dream of mastering espionage was shattered.
girlfriend
megumi's vocab includes yes, no, fuck off, what the fuck and itadori NO
he will strangle u if u use emojis
nice try tho sensei
tell that mf to talk to me if he wants to
or wtv
is he ok
not that i care
make sure he sleeps early tonight bc he got that training thing tomorrow morning
again i do not care
also delete these messages
(thank u)
gojo looked up grinning from megumi's phone, his eyes locking on his kid. megumi was fast asleep on the couch, his head leaning back against the back of it. even from some distance, gojo could see the tiredness etched on his face and something else that made him so restless. and despite not seeing you, he could bet his entire fortune that you were the same way and it made is heart hurt, seeing the two kids he loved like his own hurt so horribly like this.
looking at the messages you sent and your obvious care of him, he was sure that you'd both be okay.
gojo was there to make sure of it. and if one of the reasons for doing it was because he didn't wanna deal with antsy and moody teenagers for god knows how long, well, that was no one's business but his own.

jj’s confession | s.r x fem!reader
Tumblr media
ꨄ requested: anonymous
ꨄ genre: angst
ꨄ summary: the aftermath of jj’s fuck up
Tumblr media
the second the team got back to the office, you ran to spencer and pulled him into a hug. spencer hadn't been expecting you to be at the office when they got back from the case. you pulled back and cupped his face, your eyes scanned his face to make sure he wasn't bruised up or anything.
"i was worried about you." you mumbled, you continued to check him out until you noticed how unfocused he was. you tried to shove it off as him responding to the effects of the case but when you followed his gaze and looked over your shoulder, you knew that wasn't the case. even though jj was with will, she had her eyes focused on spencer.
you had known about spencer's old crush on jj and you'd accepted it and moved on, he'd told you that you had nothing to worry about when it came to their friendship and since you trusted him, you believed him. you took a step back and let your hand fall down to your sides, you looked back at spencer and cleared your throat.
spencer finally looked at you for the first time since he'd walked through the door, you figured it was because ji's attention was directed somewhere else. when spencer's eyes met yours, you could tell something had happened between them while they were gone. his eyes were filled with guilt as he stared at you, he knew he was going to have to tell you about it but he wasn't prepared for your reaction. so he reached for your hand, you let him take it.
"i'm tired, we should get going." he attempted at giving you a genuine smile but it never reached his eyes, you stayed silent as you watched his eyes dart over to her for a brief moment before turning back to you. "we can get takeout for dinner, your favorite place."
you pulled your hand from his and let it fall back to your side. you weren't that much of a crier but god, you sure felt like you could cry a river as you watched your relationship start to crumble right in front of you. "no, i think- i think you should tell me now what happened between you two.”
"can we just- can we not? not right now, im tired."
"no, i need to know now if im going to be leaving here by myself tonight." spencer sighed before pulling you away from everyone else and into a more secluded area.
"when we're being held hostage, the unsub made us- he made ji tell a secret she'd never told anyone before." he ran his hand through his hair before stuffing his hands in his pockets. "she told me that she loved me but i'm not-"
"do you love her back?" you bit the inside of your cheek, spencer's silence was like a stab to the heart. tears welled in your eyes and a sudden wave of anger washed over you, he didn't even have the decency to look you in the eye. "god, spencer, fucking answer me!"
he couldn't, his words were lodged in his throat. spencer hated seeing you break down in front of him, he hated knowing that he'd put you in such a vulnerable position when he knows how much you hate being vulnerable.
"i don't know! i don't- i don't know what i feel for her. i don't even know if she was being honest or just making it up, plus, she's married and-and she has kids." you scoffed and shook your head, you took a step back and put your hand out when he tried to reach out for you. "y/n, please."
"me or her?" spencer just stared at you, once again not being able to answer you. "; think i should go, call me if and when you figure this out."
you turned around and headed for the door, you didn't miss the way jj looked at you as you passed. you thought spencer would at least come after you, explain that he didn't need to think about it and that he loved you, but he didn't.

After your conversation with Dean about why you couldn’t lose him, a nagging want was tugging on your heart.
Dean explained to you that the father of an “old friend” of his was killed last night. Your stomach dropped; knowing exactly what “old friend” meant.
Sam did, too. “By old friend you mean...?”
“A friend that's not new,” came Dean’s gruff response. His eyes never left the road.
“Oh yeah, thanks,” Sam deadpanned. “So her name's Cassie, huh? You never mentioned her.”
“Didn't I? Yeah, we went out.”
You felt like you could throw up.
“You mean you dated somebody? For more than one night?” Sam commented.
“Am I speaking a language you're not getting here? Dad and I were working a job in Ohio, she was finishing up college. We went out for a coupla weeks,” Dean explained.
Sam pressed further, but you silently begged him to stop. You hoped his mind powers would kick in long enough to read the way your heart was begging for mercy in the backseat. “And...?”
Dean shrugged.
“Look, it's terrible about her dad, but it kinda sounds like a standard car accident. I'm not seeing how it fits with what we do. Which by the way, how does she know what we do?”
Dean shifted uncomfortably.
‘He told her.’ You were definitely going to throw up now.
“You told her. You told her the secret! Our big family rule number one. We do what we do and we shut up about it. For a year and a half I do nothing but lie to Jessica, and you go out with this chick in Ohio a couple of times and you tell her everything? Dean!” Sam was getting angrier by the second.
“Yeah, looks like,” Dean grumbled.
This job would undoubtedly be an incredibly painful one.
***
You saw a beautiful dark-skinned girl arguing with two older men in the newspaper office you and the boys had arrived at. You silently pleaded for it not to be Cassie. She was stunning; nothing but long legs and slender curves. Her dark hair curled tightly, framing her face beautifully. The girl sighed and turned around as the two men walked away from her. She seemed taken aback. “Dean.”
You recognized the fondness in her eyes; it was the same fondness you were beginning to look at Dean with.
‘Of course, she’s fucking gorgeous. Wouldn’t expect anything else from Dean,’ you thought.
“Hey, Cassie,” Dean grinned. The two stared at each other for a moment before he cleared his throat. “This is my brother, Sam, and this is my friend, (Y/N).”
You tried your best to smile at her; the girl had done nothing wrong. It was Dean you were beginning to get upset with.
“Sorry ‘bout your dad,” Dean said.
“Yeah. Me too,” Cassie muttered.
The two kept staring at each other.
You cleared your throat awkwardly, and Cassie seemed to snap out of it. “Sorry,” she laughed. “Let’s take this somewhere a bit more… private.”
***
Cassie took you back to her home and brought you a tray of tea and cups. “My mother’s in pretty bad shape. I've been staying with her. I wish she wouldn't go off by herself. She's been so nervous and frightened. She was worried about dad.”
“Why?” Dean asked.
She gracefully poured some tea into a cup. “He was scared. He was seeing things.”
“Like what?”
“He swore he saw an awful-looking black truck following him,” the young woman explained.
“A truck. Who was the driver?” Sam questioned.
Cassie handed cups of tea to each of you. You took one, thanking her as you did so. “He didn't talk about a driver,” she continued. “Just the truck. He said it would appear and disappear. And, in the accident, Dad's car was dented, like it had been slammed into by something big.”
“Now you're sure this dent wasn't there before?”
“He sold cars. Always drove a new one. There wasn't a scratch on that thing. It had rained hard that night. There was mud everywhere. There was a distinct set of muddy tracks leading from dad's car… leading right to the edge, where he went over.” The girl took a second to get her emotions back under control. “One set of tracks. His.”
“The first was a friend of your fathers?” Dean had discarded his cup on a side table. The sight almost made you smile; you knew tea was a bit too fancy for him.
“Best friend. Clayton Soames. They owned the car dealership together. Same thing. Dent. No Tracks. And the cops said exactly what they said about dad. He 'lost control of his car.' “
“Can you think of any reason why your father and his partner might be targets?”
Cassie shook her head.
“And you think this vanishing truck ran them off the road?” Sam furrowed his eyebrows.
“When you say it aloud like that…” Cassie breathed deeply. “Listen, I'm a little skeptical about this… ghost stuff… or whatever it is you guys are into.”
Dean huffed. “Skeptical. If I remember, I think you said I was nuts.”
‘Uh, oh,’ you thought, beginning to feel uncomfortable.
“That was then.” Cassie and Dean stared at each other again. “I just know that I can't explain what happened up there. So I called you.”
A middle-aged woman entered the room. Cassie rushed to her. “Mom. Where have you been I was so…”
Cassie’s mom forced a smile. “I had no idea you’d invited friends over.”
“Mom, this is Dean, a… friend of mine from.... college. And his brother Sam and friend, (Y/N).”
“Well, I won't interrupt you.” Cassie’s mom went to leave the room.
“Mrs Robinson. We're sorry for your loss. We'd like to talk to you for a minute if you don't mind?” Dean stopped her.
The woman seemed slightly affronted. “I'm really not up for that right now.” She left the room, and Dean and Cassie continued to stare at each other.
***
The next day, Dean informed you of another killing that happened in a field beside the main road. Another one of Cassie’s father’s friends had been murdered. You met the beautiful woman who was bravely berating the mayor for not closing the main road; heavily suggesting there was a racist undertone behind the mayor’s motives. You admired the woman’s bravery, and wished you had those kinds of balls in certain situations. Had the circumstances been different, you probably would have been good friends with her.
You and the boys learned from a friend of the deceased that the town once was home to a family with an incredibly racist history. In fact, the big black truck the victims had described seeing was one that many black men disappeared in back in the 1960s. You and the boys walked away from the men you learned this information from and returned to the Impala.
“Truck,” Dean noted.
“Keeps coming up doesn't it?” Sam added.
“Yeah, kinda like the flying dutchman,” you continued.
“Yeah, that ghost ship, infused with the Captain's evil spirit. It was basically part of him,” the younger Winchester finished.
Dean nodded. “So what if we're dealing with the same thing? You know, a phantom truck, an extension of some bastard's ghost, re-enacting past crimes.”
“The victims have all been black men,” noted Sam.
“I think it's more than that. They all seem connected to Cassie and her family,” Dean suggested.
“Alright, well, you work that angle, go talk to her,” Sam said.
“Yeah, I will.”
Sam stopped his brother before he could get down into the car. “Oh, and you might also wanna mention that other thing.”
‘Stop talking, Sam,’ you mentally pleaded.
“What other thing?” Dean asked.
“The serious, unfinished business?”
The older brother remained silent, and for that, you were thankful.
“Dean, what is going on between you two?” Sam huffed out a laugh.
Dean seemed uncomfortable, as were you. “Alright, so maybe we were a little bit more involved than I said.”
“Really?” you said, unable to help yourself.
“Okay, a lot more. Maybe. And I told her our secret, about what we do. And I shouldn't have.”
“Ah, look man, everybody's gotta open up to someone sometime,” Sam shrugged.
“Yeah, I don't. It was stupid to get that close. I mean, look how it ended.”
The younger brother smiled.
“Would you stop!”
Sam just kept staring and smiling.
“Blink or something!”
The brunet simply said, “You loved her.”
You nearly choked on your own spit as Dean grumbled and turned to the Impala.
“You were in love with her, but you dumped her.” Sam paused a moment before realizing, “Oh, wow. She dumped you.”
“Get in the car. Get in the car!” Dean ordered you and Sam.
You refused to continue to let Dean have that effect on you. There was no room for feelings in this profession, and you would not let them get in the way of your friendship with Dean or Sam. The former dropped you and his brother off at the motel before speeding away to Cassie’s house. You and Sam decided to get takeout and have a carpet picnic in the brothers’ motel room.
You chowed down on fried rice while Sam eyed you curiously. “What?” you asked through a mouthful of rice.
“Nothing. You just seem off,” he replied.
“I don’t know, honestly. After… everything that’s happened, I—” you couldn’t finish your sentence. “Nevermind. What’s your thoughts on this case?”
He gave you a bitchface at your change in the subject, but went along with it nonetheless. “I think our theory about the flying dutchman’s right. I’m just waiting for Dean to fill in the missing pieces.” He paused before continuing. “Speaking of which, I don’t think he’ll be back for the night? You wanna crash here?”
You smiled. “Sure. Wanna get some cheap tequila and ride the bus?”
“You’re on,” he grinned back.
The two of you played with your deck of cards for a bit, joking and laughing about previous hunts and memories from Sam’s school days. After getting thoroughly hammered from your card game, you just talked for hours.
“My parents weren’t always… crazy supportive of me,” you explained. “I get your whole thing with college, though.”
“You do?”
“Yeah,” you responded. “I wanted to go to school as a teenager, actually. Was dead set on it.”
He grinned. “Really?”
“Yeah, but after my parents passed, I decided I’m better at hunting,” you replied, flopping back on the ground. “You’re hella argumentative. You’d be an exceptional lawyer.”
He chuckled at you, slurring his words together. “You really think so?”
“Yeah! Duh!”
“You’re not ever this giddy, (Y/N), how much did we drink?”
The two of you looked over at the mostly empty bottle of tequila before exploding into a fit of giggles.
“I don’t think I’ve been this drunk ever,” you slurred.
“Yeah, ne meither,” Sam said simply.
You burst out laughing again. “Ne meither?!”
“Oops,” he giggled boyishly.
“Wait, wait, wait. I have a question. You went to school with a full ride, right? How’d you get a full ride and hunt at the same time? That’s fucking crazy.”
He nodded. “Yeah. My dad took me on hunts every once in a while between AP Bio tests.”
“Holy shit, you’re smart.”
He sighed. “Not as smart as you’d think.”
“Cut the humble crap, you’re crazy smart,” you replied, turning to him. “You give me a run for my money sometimes. Trust me, that’s rare.”
He shrugged. “I guess you’re right.”
“Seriously, dude. You gotta be crazy gifted. You’re a great hunter and really smart. That’s a wild combination.”
“Yeah, well, so are you,” Sam replied.
You grinned, barely holding your eyes open. “Thanks.” You paused a moment. “You ever smoked weed?”
He snorted. “Of course.”
You mock-gasped. “Sammy, never thought you were the type!”
“Pfft, I’m not a total prude, (Y/N).”
“Well, forgive me, you don’t exactly scream ‘I chase my tequila with mary jane,’ “ you jested.
“College, man. Whole new world.”
“What was it like?” you asked.
“Meh,” he squeaked, voice breaking drunkenly. “Lots of studying. Jess was the one who got me into partying a little.”
“Yeahhh, Jess!” you cheered. “She sounds cool as fuck.”
“She was.” He suddenly got sad and sniffed a little.
You crawled over to him. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to bring bad shit up for you.”
He sniffed again and shrugged. “‘S okay, I jus’ miss her.”
“I know.” You laid your head on his shoulder and let him cry as the two of you sat next to each other in silence.
***
The next morning and thoroughly hungover, you and Sam headed to yet another field; where this time, the mayor’s car had been found. And it was in a different location than the main road. Dean met you a short time later once you’d finished talking to a cop on the scene.
“Where were you last night? You didn't make it back to the hotel,” Sam questioned, although the subtle smirk on his face told you he already knew the answer.
“Well…”
Sam grinned smugly. “I'm guessing you guys worked things out?”
“We'll be working things out when we're ninety. So what happened?”
“We got really drunk,” you muttered.
“What?” Dean looked down at you.
Sam shook his head. “Every bone crushed. Internal organ's turned to pudding. The cops are all stumped, it's like something ran him over.”
“Something like a truck?” Dean asked.
Sam nodded and explained there had been no tracks. He went on to say that the mayor had bought the property he was murdered on a few weeks ago; which was odd given he was white and found off the main road.
Cassie and Dean were considerably more chummy after their eventful evening, and it made your stomach turn a little. He insisted on being dropped off at the newspaper office Cassie worked at while you and Sam did research on the property the mayor had purchased at the library.
You discovered the mayor’s land was where the Dorian family had lived for over one hundred years. Apparently, their incredibly racist and firebrand son had disappeared just after the string of murders back in the 1960s. Cassie explained how the Dorians owned pretty much everything in the town before Cyrus, their son, disappeared. Weeks after the mayor bought the property, he knocked the house down. The very next day, the first killing started.
***
Amidst your throbbing headache and the research you'd done, you parted ways with the brothers to rest in your motel room. You settled on reorganizing your duffel bag to keep your mind occupied, but it still wandered to Dean and Cassie. You knew you'd been cold to Dean all day, and you just hoped he was too preoccupied with his fling to even notice.
Of course, that was simply wishful thinking. A knock on the door broke you out of your thoughts.
Dean opened the door a moment later and stepped into your room wordlessly. He began to pace a little.
"Are... you okay—?" you started to ask, but he cut you off.
"What's your deal?"
"What?" you pretended to be dumbfounded.
"I caught what you said about getting drunk with Sam last night. Did you... fuck my brother?" he asked, voice teetering on rageful.
"God, no, Winchester," you scoffed. "Not everyone's intentions are sexual 24/7. We literally just played a drinking game and talked."
"Then, what's with your fucking attitude? You've been a bitch to me all day," he replied, shoulders tense.
"Have not, first of all," you began. "Trust me, if I was upset with you, you'd know about it."
"What, then? Is this about Cassie?" he questioned pointedly, staring you down.
"Dean, has it occured to you that not everything has to do with you?" you spat, becoming incredibly defensive. "I'm pissy because I'm hungover. And right now, you are making my headache a thousand times worse."
"Sorry that I was concerned about you, then," he responded flippantly.
"You weren't concerned," you laughed coldly. "You came here looking for a fight. Well, now you've got one. I like Cassie a lot, actually. Different circumstances, we'd be good friends. What I don't like is how unprofessionally you're acting."
"We fucking hunt monsters for a living, (Y/N)," Dean argued. "There's not exactly a code of ethics."
"Well, you should have some desire to conduct yourself in a professional manner. Because your main motivation on every fucking hunt doesn't seem to be hunting, it seems to be getting your dick wet," you berated, even though you knew your words were not reflective of your true thoughts of him.
"Sorry that I'm not a stuck-up bitch like you are," Dean scoffed. "You are completely miserable to be around. You always have something to be angry about. Don't you ever get tired of sucking the life outta everyone?"
You cut your eyes at him harshly, rage boiling under your skin. "Get the fuck out of my room, Winchester," you said evenly.
When he didn't move, it just added to your anger.
"I said get the fuck out!"
***
You and the Winchesters were called to Cassie’s house later that evening when she’d called Dean in a panic about the truck appearing outside of her home. You hated the way Dean sat with his arm protectively around Cassie, especially after your incredibly awkward car ride to her house where he couldn't seem to bare looking at you. He acted like you weren't in the backseat at all.
You handed Cassie a cup of tea, which she took with shaky hands. “Maybe you could throw a couple of shots in that.”
You snorted. “You didn’t see who was driving the truck?”
“It seemed to be no one. Everything was moving so fast. And then it was just gone. Why didn't it kill us?” Cassie questioned.
“Whoever was controlling the truck wants you afraid first,” Dean grumbled.
Sam turned to Cassie’s mother. “Mrs Robinson, Cassie said that your husband saw the truck before he died.”
The older woman was shaking, pulled away from reality into her own thoughts. When her daughter’s voice brought her back to earth, Mrs. Robinson began to explain. “Oh. Martin was under a lot of stress. You can't be sure about what he was seeing.”
“Well, after tonight I think we can be reasonably sure he was seeing a truck. What happened tonight, you and Cassie are marked. Okay? Your daughter could die.” You knew Dean cared about her, and selfishly, you wanted him to be that worried about you; not her. “So if you know something, now would be a really good time to tell us about it.”
Cassie went to silence Dean, but Mrs. Robinson took in a shaky breath. “Yes. Yes, he said he saw a truck.”
“Did he know who it belonged to?” you asked her.
“He thought he did,” she nodded. She began to get upset. “Cyrus. A man named Cyrus.”
“Cyrus Dorian?” you questioned.
“Cyrus Dorian died more than 40 years ago.”
Now, you had her. “The paper said he went missing, Mrs. Robinson. How do you know he died?”
She refused to answer.
“Mrs. Robinson, please,” you urged.
She began to talk again, getting visibly more upset. “We were all very young. I dated Cyrus a while; I was also seeing Martin. In secret of course. Interracial couples didn't go over too well back then. When I broke it off with Cyrus, and when he found out about Martin, I don't know, he… changed. His hatred. His hatred was frightening.”
“The murders,” Sam noted.
You saw tears forming at the edges of the woman’s eyes. “There were rumors. People of color disappearing into some kind of a truck. Nothing was ever done. Martin and a... Martin and I, we were gonna be, uh, married in that little church near here, but last minute we decided to elope as we didn't want the attention.”
“And Cyrus?” Dean prompted.
“The day we set for the wedding, was the day someone set fire to the church. There was a children's choir practicing in there. They all died.” Mrs. Robinson clapped a hand over her mouth and shut her eyes.
“Did the attacks stop after that?” Sam asked softly.
She shook her head as she continued to sob. “No! There was one more. One night, that truck came for Martin. Cyrus beat him something terrible. But Martin, you see, Martin got loose. And he started hitting Cyrus and he just kept hitting him and hitting him.”
“Why didn't you call the cops?” Dean questioned.
Mrs. Robinson looked at Dean like he was crazy. “This was forty years ago. He called on his friends, Clayton Soames and Jimmy Anderson, and they put Cyrus' body into the truck, and they rolled it into the swamp at the end of his land, and all three of them kept that secret all of these years.”
“And now all three are gone,” Sam said.
“And so is Mayor Todd. Now, he said that you of all people would know he is not a racist. Why would he say that?” Dean asked.
“He was a good man. He was a young deputy back then investigating Cyrus' disappearance. Once he figured out what Martin and the others had done he— he did nothing, because he also knew what Cyrus had done.”
Cassie spoke up for the first time in a while. “Why didn't you tell me?”
“I thought I was protecting them. And now there's no one left to protect.” She put her head down in her hands.
“Yes, there is,” Dean said, looking down at Cassie. Mrs. Robinson looked at her daughter as well before breaking down crying once more.
You and Sam left the home shortly after to get to work on finding the truck and disposing of it. Dean paced in front of you, waiting for Cassie to come bid you goodbye. You leaned against the Impala, picking at imaginary dirt under your nails. You just needed something to focus on that wasn’t Dean and your jealousy.
“Ah, my life was so simple. Just school, exams, papers on polycentric cultural norms,” Sam spoke up next to you.
“So I guess we saved you from a boring existence,” Dean smirked.
“Yeah, occasionally I miss boring,” he grinned down at you.
“So, this killer truck—” Dean began before getting cut off by his brother.
“I miss conversations that didn't start with 'this killer truck'.”
Dean laughed a little. “Well, this Cyrus guy. Evil on a level that infected even his truck. When he died, the swamp became his tomb, and his spirit was dormant for forty years.”
“So what woke it up?” Sam questioned.
“The construction on his house,” you shrugged. “Or, rather, destruction.”
“Right. Demolition or remodeling can awaken spirits, make them restless.”
Dean hummed. “And the guy that tore down the family homestead, Harold Todd, is the same guy that kept Cyrus' murder quiet and unsolved.”
“So now his spirit is awakened and out for blood,” Sam nodded.
“Yeah, I guess. Who knows what ghosts are thinking anyway.”
“You know we're going to have to dredge that body up from the swamp, right?"
Dean grinned, and you smirked despite the swirling emotions inside you. You hated how easily those green eyes and freckles could make any negative feelings you had dissipate.
“Man,” Sam groaned.
“You said it,” Dean continued to grin.
Cassie approached your group from her house, and Dean turned to face her.
“Hey. She's asleep. Now what?” she asked Dean.
“Well, you should stay put and look after her, and we'll be back. Don't leave the house.” Dean held up a finger at her, standing way too close to her for your liking.
“Don't go getting all authoritative on me. I hate it,” she said seductively.
Dean glanced behind himself to you and Sam. You both averted your eyes while you held back the bile rising in your throat.
“Don't leave the house, please?” Dean mumbled. Suddenly, the two were kissing. You looked up at them and leaned over to Sam.
“It’s like watching a car crash,” you whispered. “With, like, kids burning in the backseat.”
Sam laughed at you and cleared his throat. Dean simply held up a finger back to you, urging you to “wait a minute.”
“You comin' or what?” Dean awkwardly rubbed his neck after he pulled away from Cassie, and you envied her ability to make Dean blush the way she had.
The drive to the Dorian property largely consisted of Sam teasing Dean about Cassie while you said nothing. Dean used a tractor that was on the property from the construction to pull the submerged truck out of the water.
Sam continued to tease Dean about how he was definitely still in love with Cassie while you continued to focus on your work. You doused the corpse in Cyrus’s truck once you’d gotten it on the ground with kerosene and watched as it burned.
“All business tonight, huh, (Y/N)?” Dean taunted, still clearly upset with you.
“You’ll have to forgive me, I’m not particularly interested in who or what you choose to put your dick in,” you responded coldly.
“Hey!—”
You turned to him, eyes hard. “Seriously. Let’s focus, please.”
Sam eyed you curiously while you continued to watch the corpse burn. Suddenly, the truck appeared behind you and the brothers, revving its engine.
“So burning the body had no effect on that thing?” Sam questioned, panicked.
“I guess not,” you shrugged.
“Sure it did. Now it's really pissed,” Dean snarked.
“Great! He’s fused with the fucking truck,” you huffed. “Where are you going?” Dean was retreating to his car.
“Goin' for a little ride,” he responded.
“What?!”
“Gonna lead that thing away. That busted piece of crap: you gotta burn it.”
“How the fuck are we supposed to burn a truck, Dean?” you argued.
“I don't know. Figure something out.” He threw the duffel bag in the trunk at you before getting in and taking off.
“What the f—” you watched his retreating form.
“You sure you’re okay, (Y/N/N)?” Sam asked you. “You seem pretty on edge.”
“Yeah, I’m fine, dude, let’s focus.” You thought for a moment before getting an idea.
“Hey, you gotta give me a minute,” Sam said to his brother who had called him. “Let me get back to you.” He hung up.
You turned to Sam. “The church where Cyrus butchered those kids.”
He grinned. “Hallowed ground. That should work!” He called Cassie and had her tell him where the church had once stood.
Sam then called his panicking brother back and instructed him on exactly how far to drive to hopefully demolish the ghost. “Dean. You still there? Dean?”
He breathed a sigh of relief when his brother spoke to him again. “Dean, you're where the church was. The place Cyrus burned down. Murdered all those kids. Church ground is hallowed ground; whether the church is still there or not. Evil spirits cross over hallowed ground, sometimes they're destroyed, so we figured, maybe that would get rid of it.”
Even though he wasn’t on speaker, you could hear Dean’s panic. “Maybe? Maybe! What if you were wrong?”
Sam smirked. “Huh. Honestly that thought hadn't occurred to me.”
***
You didn't make it back to the motel until almost two in the morning. Dean was still completely ignoring your existence, and he was beginning to follow Sam into their room. You stopped him just before he could.
"Dean, wait," you called out after him, resolve breaking.
"What," he almost growled, turning back to you.
"Can we talk?" you asked, eyes pleading.
Dean didn't say anything in response for a moment, and you held your breath while you waited for him to talk. Finally, he nodded slightly.
"I'm sorry," you said earnestly. "For everything that I said earlier."
He nodded. "I am, too. You're not completely misreable to be around. Only sometimes when you get bitchy." You could see the slight smirk on his face illuminated by the moonlight.
You rolled your eyes with a small smile. "You can never take anhthing seriously, huh?"
"Hey, this is a chick-flick-moment-free zone."
"Seriously," you laughed, "I didn't mean what I said at all. You're... actually amazing. As a hunter, I mean," you quickly corrected yourself. "I know your first priority on hunts isn't sex."
Dean rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "Eh, you weren't one-hundred-percent wrong. Sorry about that."
You shrugged. "Makes no difference to me. Who or what you choose to fornicate with is your business. Even if it is the Magic Fingers machines at those nasty ass motels." A smile tugged on your lips.
He chuckled. "Well, anyway... goodnight, sweetheart." Dean turned on his heel and walked away from you, leaving you in the parking lot with a pounding heart and butterfly-filled stomach.
***
The next day, you and the brothers were leaving town. You and Sam waited in the car while Dean stood talking to Cassie. You, once again, couldn’t tear your eyes away from the horror show in front of you. He kissed her deeply before climbing down into the car. You had never been so thankful to leave a town in your rearview mirror.
The car had been mostly silent for the last thirty minutes before Sam broke it. “I like her.”
Dean grumbled, “Yeah,” in response.
“You meet someone like her, doesn't it makes you wonder if it's worth it? Putting everything else on hold, doing what we do?”
You watched Dean with bated breath, waiting anxiously for his answer. Instead of replying, he just took out his sunglasses and smiled. “Why don't you wake me up when it's my turn to drive?” He slouched against the window and sighed.
You shook your head and looked back out of your window, mulling over everything you’d felt during your time in Columbus. You knew feelings were not allowed in your line of work; certainly not relationships. You refused to let them interfere with your job any longer, and convinced yourself you would be perfectly content with Dean just being your friend.
After all, you'd already made it incredibly apparent that he was too much of a playboy for you. You would never be able to stomach a relationship with him because of how jealous of a person you were. And so, you decided that as long as you were with the boys, you would never, ever date Dean Winchester.

Have you ever read a fic called A Medication On Railroading? Because I think you'll like it. Basic summery with no spoilers: Jack takes Tim on a trip to Atlanta and then leaves him in Atlanta so he goes train hopping to get home. Very hurt/comfort.
But it also gives me an idea that I'm not sure where to share. What if that wasn't Tim's first time getting home like that? Maybe the first time was just New York when he was say... 9 years old? His parents took him with them to a Gala and Jack thought Janet called him a car home and Janet thought Jack took care of it. Neither one did and Tiny Tim figured out how to get home on his own. It happens again when he's 11 so he already knows what to do, he studied up in case it happened again.
After the second time, anytime Tim is with his parents he keeps his camera bag on him at all times which has 300 dollars in it that he can use on getting home. Tim also discovers during the second one that trains are *way* better than busses and cabs. He's all alone, just him and the scenery and whatever cargo his car holds. He can Fully Relax. He doesn't have to be the perfect heir, he doesn't have to smile for the cameras, he doesn't have to be quiet or good or perfectly polite. He can scream and laugh and cry if he wants to and no one will ever know! He can sing and curse and throw rocks at things! He can be a *kid*.
After Tim becomes Robin, he never calls Batman for a pick up if he's abandoned somewhere and instead will make his own way home. Heck, after some missions with Young Justice he will turn off his trackers and ride trains home so that he can loudly vent about them without having to worry about anyone ever knowing what he said!
This does become a slight problem when he's 17 and Bruce needs him for something and finds out from Bart that their mission ended a day and a half ago. But Tim never called for pick up. And his trackers are all offline. And he never hit his emergency beacon and *no one can find him*. Bruce totally isn't freaking out. The other Bats totally aren't freaking out. Young Justice totally isn't freaking out. There totally isn't a panic spreading through the super hero community about Red Robin maybe being dead I a ditch somewhere and how both Batman and his team will react.
Tim meanwhile is straight vibing as he reclines on a stack of bags of rice like they're pillows, singing along to some sound track he downloaded onto his MP3 player, having turned the volume to max and nearly screaming the lyrics because it's the one time he feels like he can.
Yes! I love that fic you mentioned. It's really really good. Perhaps I should re read it since it's been a minute.
Also, I absolutely adore the little tidbit you've added. A few things to note that I love about it:
No one else knows/finds out until he's Red Robin
It's a semi-decent coping mechanism. He gets to chill out, vibe, and process. He's also in touch with nature and music during this.
Tim drops his various masks to simply exist for a bit
Tim chilling on some rice bags in a train cart with an MP3 player (not even his phone. This indicates he's fully offline during these trips)
A few additional notes to add. One, this could buff up the canon notion that pre-Robin Tim traveled far to go see Dick at the circus and convince him to become Robin again. If Tim had already done that twice unexpectedly, he'd do swell when he actually plans to do it.
Two, Tim probably created a white noise generator or something to give him totally privacy on his "me trips." This is why Kon and Superman freak out. They can't hear him.
Three, he probably gets covered in grime, dust, and dirt. He's no longer in the pristine environment he grew up in.
Gods. That sounds so nice and relaxing. I'm actually kind of jealous. Just the wind, music, and the slowly changing scenery? Fuuuck.

Part two to When Bakugo notices the new flag girl Mina recruits, he's interested. His objective changes when he learns the prize for winning the race. Hopefully, he drives away with the money and the hot flag girl next to him…
I'm thinking of making this a whole series... what do yall think about this one? ('m sorry, I had to get Izuku outta the way soo)
Tumblr media
The rumble of engines vibrated through your core, a familiar rhythm sending a wave of excitement. Two weeks since the cops and the car chase, and the adrenaline was back, thick in the grimy air of the deserted industrial park. A new place was chosen since the police were heavily patrolling your previous gathering ground.
Tonight's race was going to be electric, a head-to-head between Bakugo and Midoriya.
You knew the greenette had a crush on you. The way he stammered whenever you spoke to him, the lingering glances you caught him stealing – it wasn't hard to miss. A sly smile played on your lips. Maybe you could use that to your advantage tonight.
Standing at the starting line, you felt like a perfect match for Bakugo's car – a vibrant orange that soaked up the lights from street lamps and cars, mirrored perfectly by the conspicuous shade of his new car.
He had mentioned it to you over a call the two of you shared at two in the morning... it was a Pagani Zonda R, you think, remembering the blonde's smirk as he held the phone over his head, sitting on the trunk of the car, claiming it was supposed to be a surprise for you.
You decided to give him a little surprise of your own. A daring combination of shorts and a matching orange bandeau top, something that surely caught his attention. The outfit left little to the imagination and Bakugo's thoughts were running wild.
Bakugo, with a glint in his carmine eyes, sat behind the wheel, a dangerous smile playing on his lips. Lined up next to him was Midoriya, his signature curly green hair whipping in the wind as he fidgeted with the rearview mirror of what you presumed to be a Lamborghini.
As the crowd settled, a hush falling over them in anticipation, you notice Bakugo climbed out of his car. A slow smirk spread across your face. What in the world was he up to?
He swaggered towards you, confidence radiating from him like heat waves. Your breath hitched as he reached out, his rough fingers brushing yours, interlocking your hands before he pulled you close. Before you could even think, his lips were on yours – a rough, possessive kiss that left you breathless. With your free hand in his hair and his free hand on your lower back. This was sure to make it up on social media.
It was a blatant message, scrawled across your lips in a language only Bakugo could speak: you were his.
The crowd cheered and hollered and the small whine that you let out was a symphony to Bakugo's ears, a music that drowned everything else out. He pulled away, resting his forehead on yours.
You swore you saw Midoriya turn green (well, greener). He was frozen in his car, his normally bright eyes clouded with a mix of shock and…jealousy? The thought sent a playful flutter through your stomach. Maybe this race would be more interesting than you thought.
Actually, screw that. This race is going to be more interesting than you would ever imagine.
Pulling away, Bakugo left you reeling, a cocky grin plastered on his face. Then, he climbed back into his car with a wink that had your stomach doing backflips.
Composing yourself, you grabbed the microphone and addressed the buzzing crowd. "Alright racers, listen up! Tonight's race is a special one. The winner takes home the usual prize money, sure. However, we have some special guests! Everyone, please give it up for Endeavour and All Might!"
The two mentioned males reeled in, two of the most fanciest cars you have ever seen, no doubt custom made. One a striking yellow with hints of red and blue and another a crimson read, with fire designs lining the bottom and flaring up, both vehicles heavily tinted.
To say the crowd went bonkers was an understatement. People were screaming, throwing popcorn in the air, jumping wildly and flailing their arms all over the place.
"Calm down everybody. I know this is a big moment, having Japan's two greatest racers here is an unexpected surprise, isn't it?" You inquired through the mic, laughing softly.
Bakugo's face went red. Your laugh was... what was the word shitty hair said again? Cute? No, fuck that.
Your laugh was like music to his eardrums. He never wanted it to end. And the way you scrunched your nose told him that you were genuinely laughing and not forcing it.
"Alright you two, whoever wins this race will have the opportunity to be recognized by the duo of the racing world. Now, racers... Start your engines!" you raised a flagged fist in the air as the low rumbling of Bakugo's engine started up, followed closely by the wild sound of Midoriya's.
"Okay, you guys. Ready?" you grinned, reaching into your back pocket. They revved their engines, hyping up the crowd.
"Set?" you whipped out your phone and turned on the camera, turning your back to the two cars, which Bakugo loved. Your whole ass was in his sight and he committed the picture to memory. You turned on the flash as your face formed a little pout, and you clicked the shutter, capturing the two expensive cars in the background along with a whole assemblage of people.
"Go, go, go!" you screamed while turning around and swishing the flag to the ground. The sound of tyres screeching against the muddy racetrack filled the night, and both Bakugo and Midoriya shot off the line like rockets. This time, though, the race felt different.
If there was one rule about the racing world, it was probably to never let feelings get into the way. Emotions, especially uncontrolled ones, can cause serious harm on the tracks.
And that's exactly what happened.
Bakugo drove with a controlled fury, taking every turn with calculated aggression, showcasing his raw talent. Midoriya, fueled by a mix of determination and a silent vow to prove himself, pushed his car to its limits, weaving through traffic with surprising agility. One of the parts of the race was of course, a tunnel.
"Kacchan, get the fuck off of my car!" he screeched, as Bakugo closed in on him, causing his left side to graze against the tunnel wall. Midoriya knew he could've hurt innocent people if he sped up or slowed down too fast, so he had to bear the ear-piercing sound of his new paint job filing against the rough concrete.
"Damn nerd. You think you're better than me, huh? Tryin' to get her attention, you know she prefers me." Bakugo's grin never seemed to go away, swerving his car outward and just when Midoriya was about to get out of the small corner, Bakugo collied with his car again.
Midoriya's eyes glowed in the darkness. Bakugo had pushed him to his limits and sent him over the edge. Midoriya activated his nitro, pulling the custom-built lever in his car and sped off. Bakugo took this as a challenge and did the same, pulling out behind him.
The nitro kicked in, a boost of raw power gliding through Midoriya's Lamborghini. He felt the car surge forward, pulling away from Bakugo's Pagani for a short moment. But it wasn't enough. He needed to get even, to prove himself not just to the legendary people in the crowd, but to you.
He slammed his foot on the brake, taking a sharp turn into a tight corner. This was a risky maneuver, known only to a few seasoned racers who frequented this track. It was a shortcut, a notoriously dangerous shortcut. He gritted his teeth, steering with white-knuckled accuracy, pushing the car to its absolute limit.
"Think you can outrun me, Deku?" Bakugo's voice crackled over the race's communication system, laced with a sickening amusement. "You're just a useless nobody trying to impress a girl with a fancy car."
Midoriya ignored the taunt, focusing on the road ahead. His green eyes narrowed in concentration as he navigated the narrow passage, the concrete walls a blur on either side. Bakugo wasn't wrong. The car was a gift from his mother, a way to prove himself worthy, not just to you, but to everyone who doubted him. And a part of him hoped, a foolish part, that maybe, just maybe, winning this race, getting noticed by the heroes, would get your attention.
Suddenly, a flash of orange emerged from the tunnel and bright headlights blinded Midoriya's sight momentarily, causing him to slow down.
Bakugo, with a daredevil's audacity, had followed him through the treacherous shortcut. The space was barely wide enough for one car, let alone two.
"Where the hell d'ya think you're going, Deku?" Bakugo roared, his voice distorted by all of the wind rushing past them.
Midoriya slammed on the brakes again, the tires screeching in protest as he tried to create space. But Bakugo, fueled by his own competitive fire, nudged his car closer, forcing Midoriya towards the wall.
"Don't play dirty, Kacchan!" Midoriya screamed back, his voice tight with anger. "This is about proving myself!"
Bakugo laughed, a harsh, grating sound. "Proving yourself? You're a fuckin' joke, Deku. Always have been, always will be. Y/n knows who the real winner is, and it ain't you."
The taunt, the obvious and continuous disregard for his feelings, snapped something inside Midoriya. A force of raw power, possessed by anger and a desperate need to prove everyone, especially Bakugo wrong, coursed through him.
Ignoring the warning lights flashing on his dashboard, Midoriya slammed the gas pedal to the floor. The car, overloaded with power, lurched forward, a blur of green against the night.
Bakugo, caught off guard by the sudden burst of speed, swerved to avoid collision with an upcoming wall. He clipped the side of a stray tire left behind by another racer, sending his own car spinning out of control.
"Fuck, Bakugo! Get yourself in control!" you screamed as you watched the swerving car from the live on your phone. Midoriya's car was long gone and when you looked up, there it was, lunging at an impossible speed towards the finish line.
Hesitantly, you waved the flag, signalling others that Midoriya Izuku, had indeed won the race.
Bakugo's car pulled up shortly after and you, Kirishima, Kaminari, Sero, Mina and Jirou rushed towards the smoking piece of metal.
"Bakubro! You good?" Kirishima called out, ripping the smashed door open with pure strength and hauled the unconscious blonde out.
You dropped to your knees. '"No, no, no, no... Bakugo..." you placed his head on your lap, running your fingers through his hair as the rest of the group worked on cleaning up whatever nasty wound he had.
Your fingers brushed against his forehead and face, rubbing off whatever soot was on it. A groan pulled you out from your worries. "Bakugo!" you gasped in relief. "You're alive!"
The blonde opened his eyes, adjusting it to the lighting and was met with an orange blur above him.
"Course I am, shortcakes, why wouldn't I be?" he asked and he slowly rose, leaning on your body for support while everyone told him to take it easy.
You looked up at the huge crowd that was formed around Midoriya. Of course that asshole doesn't care. You continued rubbing soothing shapes into Bakugo's rough palm as tears welled up in your eyes.
"Don't do that again, Kugo. You scared me." you muttered to him, surprising him with the nickname. He chuckled, his body causing yours to vibrate.
Suddenly, Midoriya walked up to you, having brushed off the crowd who now watched from a distance.
"Y/n, listen-" he began but was cut short by your annoyed voice. "Stop. Don't say anything, Deku." you seethed, as the people around you began to whisper among themselves.
"Look at what you did to him! Look at what you did... to me." you looked up at him with clumps of tears in your eyes, rolling down your face and smearing your mascara, and a pang went through his heart. "You almost killed him." you continued, shaking your head.
"Y/n, I didn-" he tried again but flinched when you screamed, "Shut up!"
Shame burned in his gut, hotter than the engine of his car. He hadn't meant to cause this, hadn't meant to frighten you. He just wanted you to be impressed. You weren't.
With all of this commotion, people around you were silent. You grumbled, asking Kirishima for help with Bakugo, who was promising to take you out when he could function properly. The redhead happily complied, sending a glare to Miforiya as he lifted Bakugo onto his back and walked away. Mina tossed you one of Bakugo's hoodies and pulled your hand away when you hauled the cinnamon smelling article over your head. It landed at your thigh but it was so comfortable, giving you warmth against the coldness of the night.
Midoriya stood there, alone as the people around him continued to pester him even more.
He might have won the race, but Bakugo had won your heart and there was nothing he could do about it.
A few hours later, when he went back to his apartment and settled in bed, hoping to wake up the next day and say that it was all a bad dream, his phone blew up like crazy, messages and tags from every social media app.
He typed in his password groggily and clicked on Instagram, where some of his fans had tagged him under a couple pictures. His eyes widened when he clicked on the first one.
"Like, can I ride with you? @.Katsuki.Bakugo"
It was the picture that you had taken just before the race, your shiny lips forming into a pout as you raised the phone high enough to capture the entire background.
Swiping to the other picture, it was you, sitting next to Bakugo on a hospital bed. The carmine-eyed male sending the camera two middle fingers as you held up a peace sign. His stomach was naseous. How could you like someone like him? I mean out of all people?
"Or, let me ride on you👀 @.Katsuki.Bakugo"
Disdainfully, he swiped on the last picture, and it was one of you and Bakugo's hands intertwined. He read the last caption with anger and jealousy.
"My number one. @.Katsuki.Bakugo"

Grim Starts a bidding war for Yuu (Ending No. 1)
Here is ending Number one of this little fic! for you lovelies!
Tumblr media
Crowley stood proudly next to the two with an envelope in hand, “and without further ado, the winner of the prefect is…. Vil Schoenhiet!" He announced with a smile, "Come up and claim your prize Vil!" Crowley displayed Yuu who was still hiding behind Crewel at the moment. "You have to take Grim too or I wont come!" They said with an unthreatening glare towards the model.
Vil simply scoffed before walking towards the former Ramshackle Prefect, "do not worry my Sweet Potato, Grim will be allowed to accompany you in Pomfiore. Now then, let us gather your belongings before we're off. I'll have to take your measurements, take a look at your skin complexion, all of your routines will be changed." He explained, resting a hand on the light of their back leading the both of them into the decrepit dorm. "I cannot believe that Crowley had you staying in such horrendous conditions." He said shaking his head in disappointment, looking around the common room of the dorm. "You are in much better hands my dear."
It wasn't long until Yuu found both themself, and Grim standing in a previously unoccupied Pomfiore dorm room. "Are you sure that we can have this all to ourselves?" They asked turning to the blond who stood in the doorway, "Grim and I can stay in with Epel or anyone else. I don't want us to be a bother." They said sheepishly, Vil took their face in one of his manicured hands and tilted it up so they would look him in the eyes. "I told you already Yuu, Pomfiore is now both yours and Grim's dorm, thus you will be given your own room as every student does. Now then, stand still, as I said earlier I need to take your measurements so you can receive a proper NRC uniform and a dorm uniform as well.
(SUGGESTIVE CONTENT UNDER THE CUT)
So that's how Yuu ended up with Vil looming over them with a tailor's measuring tape, whimpering quietly as their face reddened. "Oh?~" Vil asked looking at their face, cupping their cheek in his free hand. "Is my little Sweet Potato all flustered just from a bit of squeezing~" He teased Yuu in a hushed tone, glad he had sent Grim away with what he had planned with the ex-prefect. "I'm not done dear~" he said with a smirk as he the actor caged them into the wall of their new dorm room.
"V-Vil~" They moaned quietly as the dorm leader wrapped the tape around their ass, "patience my Sweet Potato~ You will get your fill soon enough~"
Epel stood frozen in front of Yuu's door, holding Grim in his arms. The cat now dawned in a Pomfiore bow to replace his usual one. "Lets...go find Ace and Deuce instead Grim." He said trying to ignore the moans he heard through the door. The cat slowly nodded in agreement. "Okay, my henchhuman can wait"
————
Here’s ending one! Hope you all enjoyed! What dorm leader should be next?

Jester Stole His Thorny Crown
Chapter Nine
He never had a choice in his life. His dreams were nothing more that that. Dreams. But then he met a lounge singer at his brother club and everything changed.

Esteban Ocon was bringing her dinner. She hadn't met him before, but he'd been in the lounge once or twice. His height made him unmissable.
But why the hell was he bringing her dinner?
"Charles said to bring this to you," he said as he placed it on the table in front of her.
She stared at him for a moment, eyebrows raised. And then she leaned forward in her seat and checked inside of the bag. "Charles asked you to bring this to me?"
When he nodded, a grin lit up her face. "Holy fuck, that's so cute," she mumbled and pulled the food from the bag. "Where is he tonight, anyway?"
Esteban shrugged his shoulders. "Doing something for Lorenzo, I think."
It continued on in this manner for a few weeks. Charles would bring her dinner and, if he couldn't, Esteban would (she'd gotten to know Esteban pretty well since he started bringing her food. He was funny, somewhat easy to get along with).
But her favourite evenings were the ones with Charles. He'd get there early for his own piano lesson (could you call it a lesson if the piano ended up abandoned and she ended up on his lap?) and run out for food between her performances.
She'd developed a habit of running late for the second half of her performance. But Charles was just so convincing when his fingers were dancing to the side and hooking her underwear to the side.
But Arthur was starting to catch on. Arthur was starting to get annoyed.
It wasn't often he got to watch her perform. She might have been one of his best friends, sure, but he was a busy guy. But every time he'd been at a performance recently, they were behind schedule, by a lot.
He couldn't pretend he didn't see his brother making his way backstage between every performance. Plus, the lounge was getting more complaints than normal (which wasn't a lot of complaints, but Arthur was used to none).
It was a Thursday when he finally decided to follow his brother backstage. He saw the small pastry container Charles was carrying (because, face it, they couldn't have take out every single night) and followed him to the back rooms.
"Aha!"
It didn't have to be such a dramatic, "gotcha" moment. But Arthur was "French", everything he did was dramatic. "I knew it!"
They weren't even doing anything. But the two were still like deer caught in headlights, frozen as Charles went to open the pastry box.
"Arthur," she started. "What?"
He gestured to the two of them. "I knew it! I knew this!"
Her eyebrows were raised and she spared a look at Charles before turning her attention back to Arthur. "Knew that your brother sometimes brings me pastries as a way of thanking me for the piano lessons I've given him?"
Arthur's face dropped. "What? No," he insisted with a shake of his head. "I know about you two, I know that you're doing the nasty."
She repeated the words back to him, just so that he could hear how ridiculous they sounded.
As funny as keeping up this charade was, Charles was becoming bored. Not bored in the sense that he wanted to find something else to do. But why shouldn't Arthur know? The sooner Arthur knew, the sooner he could bring her around to meet his maman. Only good things could come from Arthur knowing, he thought.
So, Charles spoke up, interrupting them. "Would you be angry?" He asked his little brother. "If there was something happening between us?" His hand fell into her own and he laced their fingers together.
And suddenly, Arthur straightened up his posture. He'd expected Charles to like her, of course. But this was all happening very first. And it was affecting his business, and that was what really got to Arthur.
"You guys can do whatever you want," he said honestly, "but don't let it affect my lounge, or I'm kicking both your asses out of here." He checked the time on his watch. "Speaking of, you need to get back on stage."
She stood, held her hand to her head and saluted. "Yes sir," she said in jest.
Before she could run off to the stage, Charles had a gentle grip on her wrist. He used his free hand to tear a piece of the muffin away from the rest and held it up to her mouth. Gratefully, she took it. "Love you," she said through the mouthful as she fixed her makeup, but it came out more like 'wov oo'.
And, as she ran off to the stage, Charles sat back in his seat, staring at the door she had excited through. There was a certain amount of shock on his face as he ran his hands through his hair.
"Don't tell me that's the first time you guys have said it," Arthur mumbled as he sat down opposite his brother. The soft, melodic sounds of the piano filled the room.
Charles swallowed the lump in his throat and nodded. It had been a matter of weeks. God, a month and a half ago she'd been terrified of him. Surely she couldn't love him.
But that was what she'd said, wasn't it. She'd said she loved him. Why would she have said that if she hadn't?
"Well," Arthur began as he reached across the table for the rest of the muffin (he couldn't help but be surprised when Charles actually let him take it), "do you love her?"
It wasn't the most comforting thing Arthur could have said. But would telling Charles that she hadn't meant it romantically have made it worse or better? Either way, that wasn't what he said.
Charles didn't answer. He kept his head in his hands as he stared towards the door.
Arthur offered him a piece of muffin (of the muffin Charles had bought). "Relax, she won't be offended if you don't say it back."
"She won't?"
"Probably doesn't realise she's said it."
"She doesn't?"
Arthur gave his brother a sympathetic look. "Come on, let's get you a drink and watch the rest of the show."
***
He'd only had two drinks the night before. And Charles was grateful for that. He wouldn't have survived this meeting with Lorenzo without it.
"You want me to what?"
"Go to Italy," Lorenzo repeated.
For the life of him, Charles couldn't fathom why. The Leclerc family had deals in place with the Ferrari family ever since the first Monaco Grand Prix. They'd never crossed paths again. Not until now, anyway.
"If the Ferrari's think they can screw us over, they've got another thing coming," said Lorenzo. He threw a folder in Charles's direction, one Charles slid into the inside of his jacket.
The Ferrari's were car manufacturers, not a crime family. This might have been the easiest assignment of Charles's life. That was why he found himself running to her apartment, folder still tucked in his jacket.
The 'love you' incident hadn't played on his mind anymore since Arthur had calmed him down. It wasn't a romantic moment, so why should he overthink it? He knocked on the door and waited patiently, keenly aware that he was patient for nobody else.
And then, dressed in pyjamas, she pulled open the door. She barely got a 'good morning' out before Charles was on her, cupping her cheeks as he kissed her.
"Come with me to Italy," he said as he pulled away and pressed his forehead against her own.
Her eyes were lighting up from the very idea of it. "Seriously, Charles? You seriously want to take me to Italy?"
"Of course I do," he answered. "I can get Arthur to get someone in to cover at The Lounge, can get him to give you holiday pay and stuff. Just, let me take you away."
She didn't have to think about it much, did she. "Okay," she said, grin splitting across her face as she nodded. "Okay, yes, take me away, Charles Leclerc." She pushed him onto her sofa and pounced.

One Night Remains
Leona Kingscholar loves sleep more than anything else in Twisted Wonderland. So he is determined to continue sleeping all through the night when he has to host two freshmen crashing in his dorm for taking a rather stupid deal he had nothing to do with. It wasn't his problem.
Yet for some absurd reason, the three nights that the prefect stays in Savanaclaw, he doesn't get a wink.
Chooser, Chosen
(part one) (part two) (part three) (read on AO3)
Word count: 7.7k | (this is the song Yuu sings during that one part :3)
Tumblr media
Leona wanted to rip his ears out. As small as Grim and Yuu were, he hadn’t known that they could be so loud. Or so shrill. It could only be called singing by the most insane souls in Twisted Wonderland. Ruggie had almost tried to escape when they’d started shrieking at the top of their lungs, but if Leona had to endure this torture, then so did he.
“Fine,” he finally spat out, sick of covering his already-flattened ears with his hands. Their voices still got through the tiniest of spaces that he didn’t know he wasn’t covering, and he had no idea how. “Quit your screeching.”
Yuu was quicker to stop than Grim. He seemed to be especially enjoying this, Leona found. But a particularly sharp glare shut him up just fine, he also found, and finally, his ears were saved. “You’ll help us?” the weasel asked, voice hoarse from how he’d been belting without a care in the world just a moment ago.
If it was up to him, he wouldn’t be doing any of this at all. But Leona ran a hand down his face, while his ears rang and throbbed even after they’d closed their mouths. “We’ll see. That’s the best you’re goin’ to get,” he added, giving Yuu a warning look as she opened her mouth again. “Give it a rest.”
“Please never sing again. I don’t think I could take it,” Ruggie begged, looking everything like he would ram his head into a wall if they started back up. Leona would probably join him. “You’re a lot crueler than you look, Yuu.”
Out of everything she could have done, the herbivore grinned. Leona almost wanted to ask where the audacity came from, to be that cheeky while she goaded a lion in his own den. “I’m taking Leona’s advice,” she told him, making the housewarden scoff when he heard it. That only made her grin widen, annoyingly. “I’ll use my spine on you, too, thanks.”
“That’s just askin’ to get taught a lesson,” he growled back, but found that she hardly seemed scared at that. What a strange herbivore she was. “You got a plan, or are you expecting us to go in blind?”
It didn’t take her long to make the final touches in her head before putting it into words. She told them all about what she’d gone through the past two days, and what her torture had taught her about the Octavinelle groupers. And as loathe as Leona was to admit after she had nearly rendered him deaf and crazy, he found that her plan could almost work. “Wow.” Ruggie whistled, and Leona could tell that he was seeing Yuu in a new light. Leona was too, if he was being honest. She wasn’t all that doe-eyed anymore, he supposed. “That’s pretty gusty. Sure you can handle it?”
Yuu just shrugged. “I’ve dealt with them for the past two days, and I’m still standing.”
“What’ll you do if it ends up going sideways?” Leona asked.
That just made her grin again. Leona fought the urge to sigh and just go to bed. “Are you saying you think you’ll mess up?”
Again with the spine. Leona couldn’t stop himself from smirking, as his tail swished with something he almost wanted to call amusement. “I can handle the cephalo-punk just fine. I’m sayin’ I don’t exactly have my utter faith in you to make it work. No offense.”
Leona didn’t know how to feel when Yuu’s grin did not lessen. If anything, that same dastardly, twisted glint from her first night there returned, much more visible now than before, now that she didn’t have the same naive look about her. “If I can’t go back to Ramshackle, you’ll just be seeing a lot of me every night,” she told them, even throwing in a cheeky wink as she did right alongside Grim.
His smirk dropped. “Are you threatenin’ me?” Leona was strangely more surprised than angered. Yuu just shrugged. She shrugged, out of all the things she could have done. Leona didn’t know if he’d wanted one answer over the other to be perfectly honest, but the lack of a clear one certainly wasn’t what he’d hoped to get as a response. He sighed the deepest sigh he had in a long time, holding his forehead as his eyes rolled. It was strange how he was trying his hardest not to laugh even though he felt like he should definitely be a bit more offended than he was. “Here I thought you were a goody two-shoes.”
“I’m certainly more of one than most students here. You included, I’m afraid.” Leona had to make himself give her a hard look instead of let that laugh get even closer to finding its way out of his throat. “It’s up to you if you two want to help us. We’re not forcing you to do anything.”
Of course they weren’t. Grim snickered, sounding a suspicious amount like Ruggie while the sophomore sighed instead. “Only for you, you scavengers,” he grumbled, ears flicking as he mirrored the look Leona had. Except, it was directed at his housewarden a moment after he’d shot it at the herbivore. “What’d you tell him, Leona?” He wished he’d said nothing at all, now that it was giving him this much grief. How did everything become Leona’s messes to clean up in the span of one night?
“You’d better hurry ‘n get some rest,” Grim taunted, a smirk on his face that was much too arrogant for a pipsqueak like him. “This could be your last night of quality sleep, y’know.”
“I’ll get right on that, O Great Grim,” Ruggie leered, shooting both Ramshackle students one last dour look. “Sure glad I ain’t rooming with you guys right now.”
“Says the one who got this all started in the first place,” Leona shot right back, turning his glare over to his dormmate instead of his freeloaders. As Ruggie slinked out of his room, the lunatic grinned at him, giving Leona a wink just as he shut the door. Leona didn’t want to know what exactly was running through the hyena’s head, but he was certain that if he ever found out, he’d want to do more than just beat him in spelldrive.
And then it was just the three of them once again, in beautiful, blissful silence. Only to be ruined once more when Grim started talking again. “You really should be more villainous, minion. It gets stuff done,” he mused, giving her a grin as he hopped onto the couch. Then he yawned, already curling up on the cushions before Leona himself had the chance to make it back to his bed. “I think I’ll sleep, too.”
“You really think you get to, after the stunt you just pulled?” Leona growled, making Grim’s fur bristle as his eyes shot back open at the tone. There were so many ways to make him pay. Leona was having a hard time deciding just which exactly he wanted to execute on the weasel that night.
But then Yuu—stubborn, arrogant, persistent Yuu—just had to smile at him, in a way that was just apologetic enough yet still sure of herself to make his anger dissipate. “We need all the sleep we can get if we’re going to get tomorrow to work,” she reasoned, and Leona didn’t know how to feel about the way he didn’t really want to fight her. “It’ll get us out of your hair, at the very least.”
Leona scoffed, flicking his tail as he rolled his eyes. “This is the last night you’re gettin’ free board,” he reminded, trying to look like he was still irritated more than he really was. “Even if this doesn’t work.”
“Thank you for letting us stay here for the three nights you’ve already let us,” Yuu told him anyway, making his tail swish all the more. “We haven’t been the greatest houseguests.”
“Is that so?” he mused flatly. “Can’t say I noticed.”
She smiled at him again, a little more apologetic than before. So Leona rolled his eyes, dismissing her attempt to apologize when he hadn’t demanded one in the first place. Then she sighed when she turned around, finally catching the way that Grim had taken advantage of her diffusing the situation to fall into slumber. He was already long gone somehow, despite being in the lion’s den that nearly became his grave. Leona didn’t know if it was foolishness or arrogance on Grim’s part, but either way, it wasn’t the greatest testament to prove there was much of a brain in the weasel’s skull.
“One of these days, I’ll beat him to sleep.” There were the hints of a laugh in Yuu’s voice, as she reached out to gently tug the blanket higher on Grim.
“Maybe I’ll get to sleep, too,” Leona added bitterly. It made that laugh become stronger, ringing in his ears despite how quiet it still was.
“Unless we mess up tomorrow,” she reminded, with that devilish smile that only seemed to get more evil each time she flashed it. “Then neither of us will, ever again.”
That laugh returned, louder now as Leona glowered at her with a swishing tail. Yuu just gave him a grin, so he forced his expression to become even darker. “Why are you helpin’ him, herbivore?” he asked, finding that he wanted to know the answer now, when it was all of a sudden his problem, too. “Helpin’ any of the suckers who made a deal, for that matter. It wasn’t your mess to clean up.”
Yuu shrugged. It made Leona’s glower become a bit more real than it had been. “They made some bad decisions. We all do that. They should have known better, but it isn’t right for them to have to suffer so much for a mistake. And besides, some of them are my friends.” Maybe she was still doe-eyed after all, Leona found himself thinking. She looked up at him with those innocent eyes, and the faintest smile appeared on her face. “Why are you helping me?” she asked, making something weak in him almost startle.
Leona gave her an unamused stare in return. “If you really have to ask that, maybe you’re more dimwitted than I thought.”
She giggled. Leona’s tail swished just a bit stronger. “Of course. I hope the great Leona Kingscholar can forgive my threatening of his sleep.” That was all it was. She smiled at him, in that way that told him she was apologizing silently.
There were so many levels of disrespect to that comment that Leona didn’t even want to start unpacking it. So all he did was growl in reply, watching with slitted eyes as she crouched to dig through her bag. It was to get her magic potion, Leona realized, as she procured a small vial that held liquid that was an iridescent, shimmering black. He didn’t exactly think it was the safest looking thing to drink, he realized as he glowered at it. It didn’t matter that it came from the headmage—for all the years Leona had been at Night Raven College, he’d known the man to cut corners and skimp whenever possible. There could be a thousand things wrong with that potion, that Yuu was foolish enough to swallow and take without any questions asked.
Before he could school his features back to normal, the herbivore just had to glance up at him, catching the way his eyes smoldered. “Professor Crewel told me it’s safe. There aren’t any lasting side effects if I stop taking it,” she told him, irritatingly guessing the reason behind his annoyance correctly. “Doesn’t stop it from tasting disgusting, though.”
“Whatever you say,” Leona mused, putting the dull tone of boredom in his voice. He still watched as she uncapped the vial, feeling something strange grip his insides as the potion disappeared behind her lips, eliciting a faint grimace to darken her expression. Leona didn’t know how to feel about the way it made something sour his own tongue, as though he had been the one to take the potion instead of her.
He watched Yuu carefully in those first few moments after she took it. If nothing else, it was certainly effective. The air shimmered around her just like the potion in every way it could—it almost seemed like stardust had surrounded the herbivore for a few seconds, as it glittered in the space around her while it did something magical to her scent. It was the same thing that had happened the first night, and the second. But now he was able to watch and study, to see just what exactly the potion did to her to hide her in plain sight.
Only when Yuu gave him a half-uncertain smile did Leona finally realize that he’d been staring. She’d had this happen to her every night since she’d gotten to this world, no doubt, so Yuu was hardly fazed in the slightest. It left her able to see just how Leona watched her, trying to figure out just what it was that was happening to her. “Some potion he gives you,” he mused dully, pretending he hadn’t been caught. “There’s ancient magic in there.”
She hadn’t been told that, it seemed, because Yuu looked surprised. “There is?” Leona hummed as a substitute for a nod. There had to be a jumble of spells and enchantments weaved together to make something that could do so many things at once. For it to be so potent, there was no doubt there were some parts so archaic that Leona was surprised they still existed. “You can tell?” she asked. Her surprise changed to awe as he hummed again, making her eyes sparkle and shimmer like the potion. “Just from seeing it?”
“Isn’t all that hard, once you know what to look for.” Even so, Leona felt the hints of something proud tug his lips up into something of a smirk, as Yuu continued to look at him in that way. “You’re starin’, herbivore,” he purred, finding that he wanted to see if he could get back at her for the way she’d tormented him earlier.
He almost chuckled at the way she startled, blinking hard as she clasped her hands together and stared down at them instead. It let him catch the hints of pink rising to her ears, no doubt dusted on her cheeks as well. “Sorry.”
“Sure ‘ya are.” The pink darkened.
Worry stung his nose again, but it wasn’t as sharp as it had been before, during the nights when she had been distressed. It was gentle, if anything. It reminded Leona of a fluttering heartbeat, which he wondered if Yuu’s was doing when his smirk deepened. “We should go to bed,” she decided, and Leona wondered what insane part of him it was that almost wanted to stay up just a bit longer.
“Oi. Where do you think you’re going?” he asked instead, making Yuu pause from how she’d nearly joined Grim on the couch yet again. “Come here.”
The herbivore blinked again, that awe swapped out for confusion. “I didn’t think you’d want me to sleep there after I threatened you.”
“So you did threaten me.” Leona grinned at the way that made her face flush once again, changing that pink into a true red. “I ain’t about to banish you just ‘cause you got more arrogant.” Yuu rolled her eyes a little, but she listened anyway, crawling onto the bed alongside him. Even though the potion had messed with the way she smelled, Leona could still make out his scent was on her without much effort, surrounding her just like that stardust had.
He wondered if it would still, once she was no longer staying in Savanaclaw. “I wouldn’t blame you, if you did,” she admitted. “I wasn’t the greatest of people just now.”
“If you think that was somethin’ real terrible, then you haven’t been in this school long enough.” That got Yuu to smile, the tiniest of laughs escaping her lips. Leona’s ears twitched at it, how it still seemed to echo in his mind without fail. “You gotta earn your place, though,” he told her, smirking at the way that made Yuu look at him in equal parts surprise and suspicion. “Sing something for me, if you like bein’ a songbird so much.”
Her head tilted ever-so-slightly, and Leona found himself thinking that it was almost cute, the way she did that when she was confused. The thought was instantly shoved out of his head with a scowl. “You practically just begged me to not do exactly that,” she reminded, the hints of a disbelieving grin appearing despite the way her brows knit together.
“You’re more delusional than I thought if you think I’d ever beg for anything.” Leona hummed as he laced his fingers behind his head, leaning back to let his back touch the headboard. “That couldn’t have been your best shot. Maybe it was the weasel’s, but not yours.”
Leona’s suspicions were proved right when the herbivore huffed, bringing her hands up to nervously fidget her hair into the beginnings of a braid. Maybe she really was a songbird. She certainly got as flighty as them when she was anxious, always moving in whatever way she could manage. “I haven’t really sung for anyone before,” she admitted. “Except my brother.”
The smirk on Leona’s face just grew all the bigger. “Even better. I’m your first,” he purred, making Yuu huff again and shoot him a glare that wasn’t all that sharp when her face was that flushed. “Shouldn’t have sang anything if you weren’t prepared for the consequences.”
Yuu gave him a pouty look, but she didn’t say anything else to argue with him. A sigh found its way out of her chest as she finished braiding her hair and lost her excuse to stay silent, eyes darting across something Leona couldn’t see. He almost thought she was going to deny him. And something strange and oddly gentle inside Leona told him that, if she really didn’t want to, he wouldn’t press. The next time she said anything to get out of it, he would let her.
But then she took in a breath, parting her lips. And she started to sing, making Leona quiet even his breaths so that he could listen.
 It was different from before, when Yuu had been screaming at the top of her lungs like a banshee. Her voice started off shaky and hesitant at first, almost fumbling over the first few words as nervousness rolled off her in waves. But then it became a little more confident, as she got through the first verse without a single complaint from Leona. It lost the tremble, replaced with something more intentional that wasn’t quite vibrato, but something just enough to make his ears stay pinned on her.
Yuu was not the best singer by any means. Nothing about her singing was remarkable—it was as ordinary as it could get. She didn’t look at him, eyes fixated on something invisible to Leona but almost seemed to act like a lifeline to her. Especially when her face had dusted pink, growing deeper in shade for every note she sang. He decided that was alright, he found. Leona wasn’t sure what he looked like at that moment, when he realized that Yuu’s voice might be one of the prettiest things he’d heard. He certainly wasn’t sure what he looked like when she reached the chorus, words making him almost sit up as he watched and listened.
I've spent a thousand nights
Lost in your emerald eyes
Lost in a place where I know
You can see my soul
Make me lose track of time
You and your emerald eyes
Finally found a place that I can call my home.
The last remnants of the song dissipated in the wind as she finished, as the words and melody echoed in Leona’s ears again and again. She blinked, and it seemed as though she’d come out of a trance when her hands tugged on the shirt of his she’d all but taken at this point, finally mustering a sheepish glance over at Leona. He was staring at her, he realized with a start, flicking his ears as he recollected himself. It was almost hard not to, when he’d realized that the glow of the moon and stars suited her so eerily well.
Leona smirked to hide that fact, laughing silently to himself about how it made her shoulders rise in embarrassment. “Not bad,” he mused, watching as she hid behind the hand fixing her glasses. “Better than your little performance earlier, at least.”
“I’m better with instruments,” she murmured, still fiddling with her shirt. “My voice isn’t the greatest, to be honest.”
Even though he had absolutely no reason to, Leona found his smirk becoming a bit more teasing. “Where’s that spine now?” Yuu rolled her eyes shyly, making his tail flick in amusement. It was only then that he realized it had found its way around the herbivore, curled around her so that the tip rested on her other side. “If you’re going to use it on me, then use it when you have reason to. Like now.”
At least she didn’t seem to notice his tail. So he kept it there. If he tried to move it away, she would just catch sight, Leona reasoned with himself. That would end up causing him unnecessary issues to deal with at a time he didn’t want to give himself any more problems than he had already. “Do you treat all herbivores this way, or just me?” she asked, the hints of a tease in her voice.
Leona’s smirk grew. “Who knows.”
She gave him a look that wasn’t at all sharp when she could hardly keep from laughing. “Fine,” Yuu relented, sighing a little as she tucked a stray hair behind her ear. “Don’t regret that later, okay?”
The second part of what she said almost went over Leona’s head. It was almost impossible to listen, when he found himself the closest to the scar he’d given her than he’d ever been. He could only try to figure out how she hadn’t been keeled over when she’d first gotten it—how she wasn’t in pain even now, when it looked pink and tender while it still healed. But she’d somehow been the first person he saw when he came to, on that spelldrive field he’d almost turned to sand.
Yuu seemed to know that something had changed with Leona. Her smile changed a little too, growing softer and a little smaller. And for some reason, that made him feel like she was reassuring him. “I—” Leona started, then stopped, finding that his throat was strangely dry. Too dry to keep going, with words he didn’t have. He sighed, pushing his bangs up with his hand as unease churned his stomach. Even if he thought about it for longer than he did, he wasn’t sure if he’d been more unsure of what to say. “What did I do?” he finally got out, and he was displeased with the way his voice sounded. It did not tremble—a lion’s roar could never tremble—but it was not sure. It was not confident, like a prince—a king—should always be.
Leona wasn’t confident he wanted to know. It had been intentional, the way he hadn’t asked Ruggie or Jack anything about what happened that day. All he knew was that when he woke up, his body had ached like nothing before, while sand clung to him like a miasma. Yuu had taken up all of his vision, even though scarlet blood dripped from her head like rubies and matted her hair with grains of sand to make them look like golden flecks. And she hadn’t seemed to care in the slightest about what she looked like, because everything about her had been fixated on him when it shouldn’t have.
Then the herbivore came into his dorm, smiling at him like he was someone worth looking at. She did that even now, when Leona was certain that all she should feel towards him was nothing but hate and resentment. “You made a bad decision.” Leona’s tail thumped on the mattress, certainly loud enough for Yuu to hear. She didn’t look at it. All she looked at was his eyes, with her own that were much too seeing for her own good, even when she was without her glasses making everything clear. “We all do sometimes.”
That was all she said. That was all she would say, Leona realized, as the silence continued to grow instead of lessen. He’d been ready to hear a tale of how he’d nearly turned everyone to sand. How he’d nearly destroyed everything the light touched because he didn’t get his way. How even now, Yuu didn’t trust him not to turn her to dust, and how she’d slink off his bed and away from him in the next moment.
And yet, none of that happened. Despite himself, when Leona next exhaled, it shook ever-so-slightly at the edges. “This might be a bad decision too, herbivore,” he warned, eyeing her and his room and—him, the failed usurper that should have known better than to think that anything could be his. “You got a warning already.”
Out of everything she should have done, Yuu did none of them. She took his hand instead, that had fallen in between them once it had left his hair. Leona was hit again with how much bigger his was, as she took the thing that had left her mangled and twisted and slotted her fingers between his. “You have claws,” she agreed, far too calm than she should have been as she glanced down at what she’d done. “That doesn’t mean they’re always out. And if they are…” Yuu looked up at him then, with eyes that were unspeakably beautiful in the moonlight. And she smiled, something warm and kind and much too sweet to ever be directed at someone like Leona Kingscholar. But there she was, doing just that anyway. “Well, we’ve seen that they can’t stop me.”
Leona stilled. He didn’t know what to do, when he looked at the herbivore and saw the way she looked at him. She was insane. She was annoying, making so many of her problems his without even asking him in the first place. She was an enigma. She was so stupidly, foolishly kind, even to him, even though she had seen just how far that kindness would take her.
And yet. “Big words for such a small herbivore,” he said, trying not to think about how the way her smile grew made something stupidly, childishly warm swell in his chest.
It only grew when she laughed, still becoming everything Leona could ever hope to hear without fail once again. “You told me to use my spine.” Of course he did. Leona had to roll his eyes, because he wasn’t quite sure what he would have done if not that. “Now. Do you want to spend your potentially last peaceful night sleeping, or are you going to stay up talking to me?” she asked, a tease in her voice.
Leona tried not to think about the way that, strangely, perplexingly, he wasn’t quite sure he knew what the answer to that question was. “That’s rich, comin’ from you,” he huffed, trying not to let his smirk turn into a smile as Yuu giggled. She beat him to lay down first, leaving him to be last when she took second place before he could. And yet, he didn’t quite mind.
He didn’t turn away tonight. Neither did she, even as he made the lights switch off with a flick of the wrist and gave her every opportunity to. Hesitantly at first, Leona let his arm drape over her as he lowered it again—because it was more comfortable that way, instead of crammed to fit on top of his side. And then that same deranged, warm thing in him beat just a little erratically as Yuu shifted closer to him, pressing her scarred ear to his chest. He almost wanted to bat her away so that she wouldn’t hear the way it pounded—like an innocent, doe-eyed herbivore, he grimaced to himself—but found that he didn’t have the strength to. Especially when his ear flicked in the newfound silence, and he realized that when he rested his chin atop her head, that this was the most comfortable he’d been in a long time.
“Good night,” the herbivore whispered, as Leona found his hold on her tightening. He hummed in reply, listening to her faint breaths as she started to succumb to rest. If only he had more time to sleep, Leona mused as his eyes closed. He supposed he just had to make the precious little time he had count.

After three endless days of fighting tooth and nail, Yuu and Grim were finally able to return to their dorm. It was just as dank and decrepit as it’d been when they left, but at this point, they wouldn’t have it any other way. This was their dorm, and despite everything it was, they were proud of it.
“Good to be back,” Grim exclaimed, already relaxing the moment they stepped into the foyer. Jade and Floyd didn’t seem like they had done anything substantial to the place in their absence, at least, because it looked largely the same as they’d left it. “And out of Leona’s room. I still can’t believe you got him to let you sleep in his bed. It’s totally unfair!”
Yuu hummed, finding that she’d given up trying to explain it to him. All that Grim saw was bias towards her, and the one way that would make him forgive it was a few cans of tuna sent his way. “I got you out of the deal with Azul,” she reminded nonetheless, laughing a little at the way he shrugged it off like it was nothing. “And I seem to remember you doing a lot more eating than waiting on tables tonight.”
“I had to do that already. It was time for me to get a break.” Yuu rolled her eyes, though there was a grin on her face. Of course. Grim yawned then, sharp teeth glinting in the abysmal lights of their dorm. “I’m beat, though. I wanna catch some winks before we hafta go back to class tomorrow.”
“Did you remember to do your homework?” Grim’s face dropped at Yuu’s reminder, giving her something akin to a glare as he scurried off in a hurry, trying to outrun the lecture he thought Yuu was going to give him. She decided she’d give him a head start, walking slowly through the halls as the reality of the day seeped into her.
Somehow, they had done it. The odds had seemed a million to one, even with Leona helping them, but they had managed to prevail. Albeit with a few scratches, Yuu found herself adding, as she moved her arm and felt the throbbing pain of her new injury burn her collarbone. It was nothing she couldn’t handle, though.
Grim yowled suddenly, cutting through Yuu’s thoughts like a cleaver. He didn’t make that noise unless something was wrong. She quickened her pace, feeling her heart start to pound at a more worried rhythm. “Grim?” she called, as she rounded the corner to make it into the lounge.
“What are you doing here?” he exclaimed, his fur bristling while his eyes were kept wide.
It was then that Yuu saw the uninvited guest in their lounge, sprawled on the couch as though he was the prefect and not her. “Pipe down,” Leona hissed, shooting Grim a sharp look. “You woke me up.”
“So what? This isn’t your dorm!” Leona’s gaze turned into a glare as he sat up, resting his elbow on the armrest and propping his head up on a fist. Sleep still seemed to have a hold on him, and yet, even though his eyes were half-lidded, the emerald rings still held so much intensity and fire in them, as he stared at Grim. He did not leave. “Do something about this, minion!”
Yuu, despite Grim’s clear distress, found herself trying not to smile. “You go on ahead,” she offered, feeling that smile become even harder to hide when Leona’s eyes slid to her, the glare dimming somewhat. “I’ll be up soon.”
Grim didn’t need to be told twice. He hardly spared her a glance that was a mixture of appreciative and mournful as he darted up the stairs and out of sight with record speed. Yuu hadn’t even known that he could be that fast.
Leona didn’t seem to mind, content with lazily watching her just stand there. Yuu couldn't find it in herself to, either, when she finally let that smile faintly show on her face. “I thought you were sick of us," she said, finding that smile grow when he hummed. “You have your bed all to yourself now. I don’t think our couch is better than that.”
“It isn’t.” Yuu couldn’t stop the little laugh that got out of her. She winced slightly as it escaped her chest, making her wound throb with white-hot pain. Leona’s gaze changed at that, his eyelids raising ever-so-slightly. “C’mere,” he called, more a soft demand than anything else. She listened, feeling her heartbeat quicken as Leona sat up when she got closer. The intensity of his eyes never let up, even when her expression returned to normal.
His hand came up when she was finally close enough to satisfy him, though it did not touch her. Leona was waiting for her to say it was alright, she realized, something warm and gentle filling her chest when the way he glanced up at her eyes confirmed it. Yuu hummed, accepting his request, and tried not to let her breathing change when she felt him undo the first button of her shirt. Then the second, before he spread the two sides apart.
Nothing met Leona but bandages, not showing even a trace of skin beneath her neck. It made his eyes narrow, especially as he saw that it wasn’t just snow white that he was met with. Crimson blood had left the tiniest of blemishes, three pinpricks that were hardly anything to the eye, but still enough to make him glower. “How bad is it?” Leona still asked, gaze moving to look up at her face.
Lies wouldn’t go undetected. So Yuu sighed, even though she wanted to shrug it off. But her newly acquired injuries would just make her wince again if she did, and Leona would certainly see through anything else she tried. “I’m on painkillers,” she told him, feeling the warmth of his hand even through his glove and her bandages. “They’ll kick in.”
Even though she’d hoped that would satisfy Leona, it didn’t. He glared at her clavicle as though it had done a great insult to him, even when Yuu brought her hand up to cover his. “You shouldn’t have this,” he eventually said, a growl in his voice as he spoke. “I should’ve been faster. I—”
“I should have been more careful,” Yuu cut him off, making Leona’s ears flatten and his tail thump on the couch next to him. “This isn’t your fault.”
“Sure it isn’t.” The way that he glanced up at her didn’t go unnoticed. She knew exactly where his gaze went, the sight making his lip curl back in a silently snarl directed at only himself. Yuu didn’t know what to do at the way it made his eyes darken, glinting like emerald wildfires in the middle of a rainstorm.
When another moment passed, she decided that she didn’t want Leona to look angry at himself for a second longer. His brow knitted as Yuu’s hand lifted off of his, before his hold on her shirt tightened as he felt her fingers brush against his cheeks. When she finally held his face in her hands fully, ignoring the way his silky hair tickled her fingertips, she tilted it up, forcing his eyes to rip off her bandages to instead look at hers. She knew her plan worked when she watched Leona’s glare become directed at her in his confusion, his free hand coming up to wrap around her wrist to pull it off.
“Leona Kingscholar,” Yuu started, before he was able to rip her hands away, “I have a spine. I have a brain that is not peanut-sized, and it’s telling me that you are blaming yourself that has nothing to do with you.” His eyes narrowed, and she caught the gleam of his fangs when he started to open his mouth, no doubt about to challenge her. “Maybe I wasn’t using it for a moment back there, or back then, but I am using it now. I’m listening to you.”
“You call this listening to me?” he huffed, not convinced in the slightest. “Maybe I was wrong when I told you that. It doesn’t seem like you have any wits sometimes, when you go and make deals with swindlers that get you nothing. Or when you go an’ charge forward to your death when you have no magic to arm yourself with.”
She knew he was trying to hurt her. But even so, she felt his claws scratch her, making something angry bubble up inside her. “Why do you care?” she asked, feeling her own small growl whisper in her voice.
“Because I do,” he hissed, his grip on her wrist tightening. Yuu instantly stilled at the way his eyes flickered, raging like a wild beast. “You went and made things my problem when I didn’t ask. Now this is your problem, herbivore. Hope you’re happy.”
They stayed like that for a long moment, glaring daggers into the other’s eyes with angry snarls draining their lungs of air. Leona was furious. Yuu just didn’t know who he was raging at, between himself and her and a myriad of other people and things it could possibly be. With the abundance of choices he had, she hoped it wasn’t the way he felt about her. Especially when she decided, in her exasperation between how Leona was like this and how the daggers she shot at him were all but dull, it was a smart idea to lean down when his chest swelled with an inhale, no doubt about to continue with another sharp comment. And she gently pressed her lips to his, trying to take the sharpness out of him, too.
Leona bristled, that hold he had around her wrist tightening still until it was almost painful. And for a split second, Yuu wondered if she had just gone too far, and that she had taken everything completely wrong. Maybe she’d be mauled that night in her own dorm, and not in Leona’s room like she’d thought she’d be. Maybe there was the faintest of hopes for her to keep her life, as she started to pull away in order to spew out a sling of apologies at her idiocracy. But then the fist gripping her shirt tugged her right back, practically sending her into Leona’s lap from his strength.
His lips were surprisingly soft, Yuu found herself realizing, as the hand around her wrist came down to hold her waist equally gently in the closest thing to an apology she’d get. It was a dizzying contrast from how rough his voice had been before, as the scent of sun and dust and the faint hint of acacia swirled around her. He kissed her like he was starved, and she’d offered him the first real taste of food he’d had in years. It was all she could do to match him, to tell him all the things she’d wanted to without using words she wasn’t sure she’d ever be able to find.
Yuu didn’t know if she even remembered what breathing was as time seemed to stop. The only thing reminding her that she was alive and not just feeling everything Leona gave her was the rapid beating of her heart, which almost threatened to shatter her with how strongly it thudded in her chest. It finally came back to her when her lungs finally burned too hot for her to ignore, making her pull away despite how she longed to burn to ash with him. Maybe he felt the same way, Yuu realized, as she took in how his chest heaved and how he looked at her with eyes so beautiful she thought she might die anyway.
“Maybe I am stupid,” she muttered, finding that she still kept some of the hiss in her voice from before. Yuu found that she didn’t particularly care, especially when the housewarden had the audacity to glare at her again.
“The only way you’re stupid is annoyingly persistent,” Leona growled, before he kissed her again. He was gentler this time, reassured that she cared for him the same way he did for her after she'd kissed him. As if she couldn’t, when she had been hoping that somehow, someway, she could get just a bit lucky for once. She most certainly had, if she was able to be like this tonight, and to have spent the past three nights with him.
It was only after they’d broken apart for the second time that Yuu realized what she’d done. She covers her mouth to make Leona give her a strange look. “I just kissed a prince,” she blurted, almost feeling like she wanted to die when the shock hit her like a wave. She’d probably just crossed so many lines and made so many mistakes in etiquette that it could be a national scandal. Yuu almost wanted to kiss him again, just to get back that feeling of the world disappearing so she didn’t have to face it.
Leona laughed then, the sound filling her ears and making her heartbeat quicken. She adored his laugh, she realized, making her skin turn even redder than it already was after the way he’d taken her breath three times now with that. “You got kissed by one too,” he reminded. Yuu found that she had to hide the entirety of her flustered face, a little too nervous to take on even the room they were in. Leona chuckled, before she felt hands coming up to gently lift hers away. “Don’t go hidin’ on me now, herbivore.”
She forced herself to calm down when Leona let his forehead fall against hers, letting her fingers intertwine with his. This was the most relaxed she’d felt in a long time, between her deal and her homework and all the little worries rooming with Leona had given her. At least those had been for nothing, she mused to herself, finding she couldn’t help but smile at the way his tail had curled around her leg at some point.
But then of course she had to think of something else, to make her stomach knot and unease seep back into her. Leona seemed to know, by the way his nearly-closed eyes opened again. “Is this really okay?” she asked. “You’re a prince. I’m— I don’t have magic whatsoever. I’m not even sure if I have a legal presence here.”
“Who cares. I don’t.” Leona made her anxious huff turn into more of a squeak when he brought one of her hands to his lips, keeping his eyes locked with hers all the while. “The one good thing being second-born’s given me is the freedom to choose. I choose you,” he promised, smiling at the way that made her blush. “I’m also choosin’ to sleep here tonight. Hope you don’t mind, after I so kindly gave you my room for the past three nights.”
Yuu couldn’t help but scoff in a laugh at the way Leona added that, already yawning as though he could doze off in a matter of seconds. “Out here? This couch isn’t as comfortable as yours to sleep on, unfortunately.”
Leona gave her a look like she was the most deranged person to grace Twisted Wonderland. Maybe she was, she thought with a level of satisfaction she certainly shouldn’t have. She had just kissed a prince. “You have a bed. It works just fine, far as I’ve heard.”
“But Grim’s already there.”
“We can move ‘em.”
She huffed, bringing her hands back up to cup his face in disbelief. “You have to play nice with him,” Yuu told him, even though her feigned sternness was completely forgotten when she watched the way Leona nuzzled into her touch. He looked up at her with half-lidded eyes that were no doubt meant to dissuade her, but she kept firm. “We’re a package deal.”
“Fine. But he’s takin’ up your space, not mine.” Yuu laughed as she nodded, knowing that was probably the closest thing she’d get to him agreeing. “Do I get to sleep now?” Leona asked dully, making Yuu hum as she kissed his brow.
“I suppose, Your Majesty.”
“Good.” Yuu almost yelped as Leona surged up, holding her in his arms as though she weighed the same as a feather instead of letting her drop on the ground. He must have noticed the way she was staring at him, because he smirked while he started towards the stairs. “Maybe I’ll make you sing me a lullaby, since you were so willin’ to last night.”
Yuu almost frowned at him, but then she grinned, making Leona falter just for a moment. “Only if Grim can join me,” she chimed, wrapping her arms around his neck playfully. “I know just the song to sing with him.”
Leona huffed, his ears flattening as he no doubt remembered the wonderful performance they’d given him last night. “Maybe I’ll just drop you instead.”
Her grip on him got tighter in response, just in case he decided he really would. “Don’t you dare,” she warned, only met with an amused hum in response. “You’re evil.”
“Yet you still kissed me. Makes a guy wonder about your taste in people.” Leona’s eyes glinted as Yuu made a flustered noise, hiding her face in his chest. “I’m your problem now, herbivore. Hope you’re ready for what that means.”

Tumblr media
→ introduction one two three
— In which Art and Patrick find themselves intertwined with the relationship of tennis superstar Tashi Duncan and her best friend, Lennon Caddel.
Tumblr media
LENNON CADDEL AND TASHI DUNCAN WEREN'T IN LOVE. Contrary to popular belief. Their own parents had sat down both of their daughters and asked them about it. Not that they would tell the truth if they were. They were best friends. That's all. Sure, they kissed sometimes and Tashi had a soft spot only for Lennon and Lennon valued Tashi's opinion more than anybody on the planet. She had dumped plenty of boyfriends at the advice of her best friend; so much so that she just preferred the stay single. She would wait until Tashi found someone that was worthy of her attention. She knew best, after all. Lennon wasn't a pushover, though. She had had to explain that to plenty of friends and boyfriends and even her own parents. She could stand up for herself, really she could. But what is there to stand up for when it comes to Tashi? She did know best. "He's not obsessed with you enough", Tashi would say after hanging out with Lennon and her boy of the month. "You need someone who's going to be so devoted to you that they can't think of anything else." Tashi would take Lennon's face in her hands, press a kiss to her forehead, and hug her tightly. No one was more devoted than Tashi. Their relationship wasn't entirely platonic, they knew that. But it wasn't romantic either. They were so devoted to each other that the line had started to blur.

     "They're not coming." Art was staring at the dirty ceiling of his and Patrick's shared hotel room. The party had ended three hours ago, and the time had begun to creep into the early hours of the morning. Patrick was standing, pacing, shuffling a deck of cards.
"They might," he huffed.
"But they're not."
Patrick knew they weren't coming. He knew it was soon as the thought entered his head six hours ago and he knew it before it left Art's mouth three hours later. "That's only because you made it sound like we want to fuck them in here!"
Art rolled over on to his stomach, pressing his head into the hard mattress. He wanted to scream, the sound muffled by the fabric, but he wasn't the dramatic type. He was irritated, obviously. He wanted to see Lennon and Tashi again but Patrick was right. He did make it sound like they wanted to fuck them in the sticky atmosphere of their hotel room.
"Do we not?" He asked, turning his head so Patrick would hear him.
"Well, yes! But that's..." the brunette stopped pacing, turning around so he could make eye contact with Art. "Not tonight. Not in… here. We don't even know them really."
Art rolled over on his side completely, tucking his hands under his head. "That's never stopped you before."

Two floors down, Lennon and Tashi were having a similar conversation. Tashi was standing at the bathroom mirror, moisturizing and brushing her teeth and Lennon was sitting criss cross on their shared king-size bed.
"I'm just saying," Lennon pleads, like she had for the better part of the last two hours, "What's the worst that could happen? If we go over?"
Tashi turns off the bathroom light and joina her friend in bed.
"Uh, they get drunk and try to fuck us?" She answered, brushing a stray hair out of the other girl's face.
Lennon hesitated before answering. "...Would that really be the worst thing?"
Tashi's eyes go wide and she doubles over laughing. This was routine for her. Pretty boys approach her, she entertains them for a while, and then she ghosts. She had enough on her plate. She didn't need boys, girls, or anyone to get in the way of her life, her success, and most importantly her relationship with Lennon.
"I'm serious!" Lennon whines. "I know this happens to you all the time, but this never happens to me! I just..." She sighs and avoids Tashi's gaze.
"You what, Len?" Her eyebrows are furrowed and she grips Lennon's arm, forcing her to look at her. Her grip is strong in comparison to the sticky sweetness dripping from her tone.
"I'm about to be a college freshman," Lennon continues, "and I... I don't have all the experience that you do. I don't want to be the only girl on Stanford's tennis roster that's... you know..."
"A virgin?"
"Yeah."
Tashi sighs and lets her arm go. She considers her options. She could tell Lennon no, that she's not going and she knows Lennon will only go if she goes. Or...
"Get your shoes on, then." Tashi stands, sliding her own shoes onto her already socked feet.
Lennon looks up at her wide eyed, the corners of her mouth twitching into a smile. "Really?"
She receives the smallest smile before being handed her beat up converse. "Really. Let's go before I change my mind."
So she takes out her retainer, pulls on her shoes, and grins.
"How do I look?"
Beautiful. Like always. "Fuckable."
Now it's Lennon's turn to double-over laughing.

Honestly so intrigued by the idea of a role swap between Bucky and Gale when it comes to who took the London weekend pass and who got shot down first.
Gale convinces Harding to give both of them a weekend pass thinking that's the only way to convince Bucky to take a break, paint the town red in London until Bucky starts to feel better, but Bucky says no like Gale did. Gale still goes because he needs a break from missions, from base life, and, as much as he hates to admit it, from Bucky himself right now.
Bucky goes up like Gale did, and Bucky doesn't come back like Gale did.
Gale has a calmer time in London than Bucky, but he still sees the headlines about the 8th and the lost 30 bombers. The panic that runs through him would probably mirror the panic Bucky felt. The urgent need to know what happened, thoughts spinning as he tells himself that Bucky wasn't one of the men the papers say got shot down.
Gale's widow arc after escaping was characterized by desperation, a quiet bone deep desperation tinged by Gale's guilt at leaving Bucky behind. The pain that Bucky gave up his chance at freedom for him cut deep into him. There was some rage during the escape, but once he got to England, you could tell Gale's strings had been cut. His rage melted into grief and desperation. He held white knuckled to the hope, the delusion even, that Bucky was fine, he's always fine, he just had to stay for the men.
His grief after learning Bucky went down in a role swap would be closer to rage, I think. Rage at the Germans sure, but rage at Bucky mostly. Gale tried to get him to London, damn near begged him to come with him because he knew something was going to happen if he didn't get Bucky out of that cockpit.
Of course, the anger is just so he can hide how much Bucky's 'death' is killing him. He's good at hiding his emotions by slipping on a mask and burying them deep within himself, but everyone can see he isn't doing well. The grief and rage are just too much. Gale's slipping, and without Bucky, no one knows how to help him. This isn't the Major Cleven they know. This is the Buck without his namesake that none of them ever expected to see.
Gale would do as Bucky did. Leave London and demand that he be placed on the next possible mission. The pair are a bit too similar sometimes, and he'd want back in the saddle before he processed his emotions. He's back on base when everyone knows Harding didn't call him in from London. He's standing silently at the bar, not ordering a thing simply there because he's still so used to his routine with Bucky that nowhere else feels right. At least here he's with the men. At least here he can pretend Bucky's asking the bartender to fill up his flask. At least here he can be haunted.
No one knows how to handle Buck like this. They've never seen Buck like this with his emotions so volatile as his mask slips. Benny tries to talk to him, but Gale shrugs him off. Jack and Red both try to talk to him, but Gale simply asks when the briefing is. No one can get through to him.
Gale leaves behind Bucky's lucky deuce. He'd carried it for Bucky's sake, and now there's no Bucky to worry.
Oh but what if that's where the role swap ends? Buck still ends up at Stalag Luft III before Bucky, and it's the final nail in Bucky's coffin for Buck. Bucky isn't here. Gale's lost any hope he'd gained seeing Brady and Crank waiting at the fence. Even when Brady swears Bucky bailed before him, he grieves.
Everyone's sure that they're going to lose Gale now. You need strength and at least some measure of hope or fight to survive the camp, and Gale has none of that. He really did think that they'd be the last two left in the air when all of this was over. That dream doesn't matter when he's the only one left. He lost everything when Bucky went down.
Two days later, Bucky walks through the fence, and the heart that stopped beating in Gale's chest back in London finally starts up. Hope returns, and with it, his will to see both of them through this.

Winter Break... | L. Nr
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing : lando norris x f!reader
summary : Booking a cottage in the moutains for winter break wih your friends sounds like a good idea. I mean it could have been, but with lando around this was meant for trouble.
genre : fluff, slightly suggestive
warning : cursing, pretty sure that's all
a/n : This was just so fun to write, great request I hope this is what was expected and that you'll all enjoy it. Loving the winter vibe even close to the summer. The end is kinda shitty but don't mind it please. 'So american' is totally an alternative title.
Tumblr media
Pietra's idea of booking a cottage sounded so great at first. This was a great way to spend time with your closest friends and enjoy winter holliday.
Until you realised what it actually meant, that meant close proximity h24 with Lando Norris.
You were Pietra's bestfriend and he was Max's bestfriend so you were used to spend time together, but if it wasn't for your friends you would already have ripped his head off of his body.
The guy was everything you hate, cocky, provoking, immature.
Saying he was not a big fan of yours was an euphemism. He hated you just as much as you hated him.
You were always trying to put on the best behavior when you were hanging out the four of you but a whole week ? Lost in the woods in the same house as him ?
Now that was something else.
But you couldn't say no.
Not when you had already agreed, and certainly not when Pietra was looking so happy and excited about it.
So here you were, at the back of the car singing to 'So American' by Olivia Rodrigo with your bestfriend, on your way to the mountains, regretting your life choices.
Max was driving, and Lando at the passenger seat was sighing heavily, making well known his annoyment at the two of you.
"What don't you like Olivia Rodrigo ?" Pietra asked Lando when the song was over.
"The problem isn't the song, it's the singers" He answered chuckling a bit.
God you were even hating the sound of his voice at this point. You rolled your eyes and stared at the window.
After a few more time you were finally all at the cottage. It was so lovely, big, all in wood, surrounded by a forest, and it was snowing.
You eyes were shining like a five years old girl, those hollidays were gonna be great with or without Lando.
"Finally smiling ?" The blond girl mocked you nudging your shoulder.
You let out a soft smile. "Sorry, I was just tired, those vacance are gonna be so cool"
She nodded widely at you before running towards the door where Max and Lando were already.
The inside of the house was even better, if it's possible. Every space was huge but yet cosy.
"I love it already" You exclamed happily. You could see that Pietra was as excited as you if it's not more.
"I'm gona check the bedrooms" She clasped her hand at this statement and went immediatly upsatairs.
You followed her letting the lungages to the boys.
When you were finally just on your owns Pietra took a serious face and spoke :
"Let's spend a great time okay ? Please don't fight with Lando"
You rolled your eyes at her comment, but she grabbed your hands insisting.
"Please"
"Fine" You conceed, it's not like you could ever told her no anyways.
Tumblr media
You were laying on your bed, scrolling through instagram when you heard a knock on your door.
"Come in" You shouted, too lazy to actually move your ass and opened the door yourself.
The door creacked opened to a loving blond head.
"Hey Pietra what do you want ?" You questionned her putting your phone down?
"Max and I are going to town, I just wanted to let you know." She told you smiling.
"To town ?" You furrowed your eyebrow "But the closest town is one hour away from here"
"Yeah I know but we don't have marshmallows, how am I supposed to ugly cry on rom-coms without a hot chocolate with marshmallows ??" She said acting like a total drama.
You laughed loudly at her childlish behavior. "You're seriously making a two hours trip for marshmallows ?"
"Yes and ?"
"And Max is coming with you ? Dang, that boy is in love" You joked.
"I know right ? Anyways try not to fight too much with Lando" She warned you before exiting the room, letting you alone with your thoughts again.
They had left about twenty minutes ago when you decided to went downstairs.
You were still in the stairs when you noticed him, he was on the couch watching some emission about food on the TV.
Be friendly you remembered yourself, as you put on a smile and sat on the couch too (but the farther away possible from him).
"What you're watching ?" You asked him, trying to make conversation.
"Don't really know... Something about food" He replied not looking away from the screen.
Well this was starting well... Why was everything so awkward between the two of you, you couldn't help but thought.
He clearly wasn't in a mood to talk to you, not that he ever had been, so you just kept it shut and watched the TV too.
The silence between you and Lando was deafening, each passing moment filled with an uncomfortable tension that seemed to hang in the air like a heavy cloud.
You couldn't shake the feeling of unease, the knowledge that you were alone with the one person you couldn't stand.
As you watched the TV together in silence, you couldn't help but steal glances at Lando out of the corner of your eye.
Despite your animosity towards him, you couldn't deny that there was something undeniably attractive about him, from the way his jawline was perfectly chiseled to the way his eyes sparkled with mischief.
But as quickly as those thoughts entered your mind, you pushed them aside, reminding yourself of all the reasons why you couldn't stand him : He was arrogant, cocky, and infuriatingly immature, and the last thing you wanted was to be alone with him in the middle of nowhere.
Tumblr media
When you opened your eyes, the sky was already dark. You had fell asleep while watching the TV.
You rubbed your eyes and blinked a few time trying to adjust to the sudden light.
Lando wasn't on the couch and the TV was now off but you were hearing some noise coming from the kitchen so it was probably him.
You checked your phone, it was past 8 P.M.
Have you really slept that much ? You couldn't believe it, but the dark sky out there was telling you otherwise.
You headed to the kitchen to find Lando cooking something, you couldn't help but notice that you didn't knew that he was able to cook.
"Hey, have you seen Pietra ?" You asked him.
He turned away from the fryin pan to look at you right in the eyes. You hated it, or you were loving it, you didn't know, god what were you even thinking at this point ?!
There was just something about his eyes, they seemed so truthfull and yet full of mischief.
"They haven't come back yet" He answered before turning back again focusing on his recipe.
You frown immediatly "What do you mean they haven't come back ?"
He sigh visibly annoyed to be cut off again in the middle of cooking esoecially for a stupid question like that.
"I mean they're not home"
"But they have to be" You insisted and it seems to pissed him off even more.
"They are not. What is so wrong with your brain that you can't understand a simple sentence ?" He said harshly.
You got a bit taken aback by his behavior, you still haven't fight yet and it was kinda nice for once to just discuss like normal people. But it looks like it's done now.
"Cmon it's past 8, they should be here since at least one hour" You continued cause you were getting worried now.
"It's already 8 ?!" He was looking confused now, and a bit worried too.
You ran toward the entrance while dialing Pietra's number. Outside the parking area was still empty, but where the hell where they ?
And of course she wasn't answering the damn phone. You called again, but max this time, one ring... two... three...
"Yes ?"
You sighed from relief. "Where are you it's already past 8, did something happened ?"
Max stayed silent for a few second... "Well you should talk with Pietra, I swear it wasn't my idea" He told you, and you could heard that he was feeling sorry in his voice.
But what the hell was he sorry for ? And what the hell was he talking about ?
"Heyyyy Y/n !" Your bestfriend told you in an awkward manner. And suddenly you weren't worry at all anymore, you were even starting to be a little pissed off... Something wasn't clear.
"P ? What have you done ?" You snapped at her.
"I'm sorry" She immediatly blurted out. "I know you'll be mad but it's gonna be good for the two of you staying a bit together. You'll see you'll even grew closer maybe ? And I know that you're acting like you hate him but you most definitly don't hate him at all-"
What. The. Hell.
Between the blond saying nonsense and Lando now standing in front of you in the hallway waiting for news, you were feeling overwhelmed.
"Pietra what the fuck are you talking about ? When are you coming back ?" You cut her off.
"We're not"
"What ?"
"We're not coming back, it's you and him, cmon I know for sure you think he's cute. You can lie to yourself but not to me I have seen the way you look at him when you think no one is looking"
"Bullshit"
"No it's not, if you could just consider it you would se-" You hang up on the phone too nagry to continue talking to her anymore.
She had trapped you, into being locked up with goddamn Lando cause she thought you had a crush on him ???
Life is not a damn rom-com.
"Should've have known fucking marshmallows were bullshit" You mumbled.
You stormed out off the room, going upstairs to your room when Lando stopped you midtrack. Like it was not already shitty, he was the last person you wanted to see right now.
"So ?" He questionned you. Your brow furrowed.
"What ?"
"When are they coming back ? Are they alright ? And what about marshmallows ?"
"Well they're totally fine yeah and no they're not coming back, cause we're apparently two fools locked up in a nice cottage in the middle of nowhere" You immediatly escaped him and throw yourself on your bed after that.
Lando wasn't stupid, he would probably understand by himself wha was happening.
Tumblr media
You hadn't left your room since the call, and it was probably pretty late now.
Now that you were less angry, you had thought about it, maybe it could be okay all you had to do was keep ignoring Lando like you had done this evening.
The house was nice and the landscaped was beautiful, nothing shoudl stopped you from enjoying it.
You were still thinking about your little scheme to avoid Lando as much as possible when you heard a knock on your door.
You got up and opened it, without much suprised Lando was standing in front of it, a plate in his hands.
"Can I come in ?"
"Oh yeah sure" Mission avoid Lando : end now.
He smiled, visibly relieved that didn't slam the door on his face and entered the room. He put the plate on the desk before turning towards you.
The room was only lit up by your the lamp on your nighstand, and the little golden reflection on his face was making his skin glow.
He was pretty for sure. Saying otherwise would be lying.
"I made dinner but you kinda looked like you needed a bit of space so here it is" He told you pointing towards the plate.
"Since when are so nice ? It's not poisoned it is ?" You looked at him suspicioulsy.
He chuckled at your comment and god you just wanted to took that sound and keep it close to you forever. What the hell were you even thinking, what Pietra had said was really starting to get to your head now.
"I'm not always the bastard you try to make me look like" He just answered, that damn smile still plastered on his face.
"Whatever" I shrugged.
"So you're gonna eat or what" He asked you cocking an eyebrow.
"Oh yeah right I'm starving. What about you ?" It was all so strange, talking to Lando like that, like you were actually friends... You were kinda liking the sound of it.
"Well, I've already eat, it's pretty late you know" You glanced at your phone and it was past 10 P.M.
"Oh right... Yeah" And awkward silence fell between the two of you as you took your plate and sat on your bed to eat.
He started to move towards the door to let you eat in peace, and probably head to his bedroom. Perfect everything was coming to sense again maybe the mission : avoid Lando wasn't a lost cause after all.
"Could you stay ?" Who had said that ? Cause that could not be you, not in a million time in the world you could have possibly asked Lando to stay with you willingly.
He froze so you added immediatly "If you want cause I mean if you dan't want to it's okay, like I would understand. I mean we're really that close so maybe that's weird but it's I thought maybe you know. And eating alone is really sad but like you don't actually have to stay if you don't want. I don't want to force you-"
"Woaw slow down there" He chuckled a bit. You sigehd of frustration, now you were rambling. Just what was wring with you ?
He was probably thinking that you were completly crazy now.
But Lando wasn't looking at you like someone who's crazy, his eyes were soft and he was smiling fondly at you.
He sat down next to you and you both talked while you eat, actually even after. You have never talked so long with Lando, but everything just looked so easy.
When he finally left to get to his room you find yourself replying the evening and smiling like an idiot.
No. Absolutly no way.
You slapped yourself mentally, you couldn't have a crush on Lando that was ridiculous. You were hating him.
Okay maybe not anymore but you two could never be more than friends. Not possibly he was a lady's man, no string attached, f1 driver, flying acroos the world.
And you were... You. Hopeless romantic, who spended her night reading and listening to Olivia Rodrigo.
You and Lando was a total nonsense, and would never happened.
When you woke up the next morning and in the process of going downstairs bumped into a shirtless Lando mumbling a "Morning" with a sleepy voice you undertood that you were screwed.
Tumblr media
You had spend the next day ignoring him as much as you can. You couldn't let yourself fell for him like that.
So everytime he wanted to talked to you or spent time with you, you were making excuses.
And here you were again, pretending to be too focused on your book to joined him watching a movie. Actually that was half true, cause your book was really good.
The two protagonists were about to kiss for the first time when Lando bursted into your room. You nearly jumped out of your bed.
"What happened to knocking ?"
He completly ignored your remark and throw himself on your bed.
"Did I do something ?"
"What no ?"
"What are you avoiding me then?"
"I am not" You lied, and he gave a look, the you-don't-fool-me-with-your-bullshit look.
You avoid his gaze feeling a bit guilty, he sighed and dropped the subject but he was looking... Almost hurt ?
"What are you reading" He asked poiting toward the book you were still holding.
A blushed crept to you cheeks, you knew their was nothing to be ashamed about reading romance novel but still. "Nothing" You hid your book in your back.
"Cmon" He smirked trying to get the book from behind you.
Dammit that stupid man that has way more strenght than you. He eventually ended up catching it and start reading the page where your bookmark was.
"Her eyes were shining with desire as he was pinning her against the wall. He wanted her so bad and deep down he knew that she wanted him just as much..."
"Oh my god stop" You shouted basically jumping on the bed to get your book back but Lando rolled on the other side of the bed.
"But they couldn't get lost in their desire, they were enemies, people who despised each other. And yet the only thought that crossed their minds at the moment was one lustfull" He continued to read out loud.
"Okay really stop that is embarassing" You finally managed to take the book back.
He pouted as you closed the novel and put it on your nightstand.
"Hey, I want to know if they kiss" The curly haired boy spoke.
"Stop mocking me" You hid your fac efrom embarassment.
"I'm serious" You were expecting a laugh, that you could've handled. Mockery, and snarky remarks, that was somethong you knew and you could support.
But him, with that serious look, truly interessed in your stupid romance novel. No that was too much for your heart.
"Really ?" You finally met his eyes, so sincere in that exact moment. He simply nodded.
You sighed before taking the book back. "Okay but don't read at loud please, let's read it... Together ? Just tell me when you've finished the page"
He smiled brightly and sat next to you as you both started reading.
At first it was uncomfortable and awkward to read like that but as time pass you both grew more comfortable and it wasn't so bad reading with him.
It felt so intimate... Being pressed next to Lando so you can both look at the pages, but yet you weren't hating it. Not at all actually, and that was kinda scaring you.
When the dark had became too dark for you to read, you decided that it was time to stopped. Lando groaned about it, he only shut up when you promised him that you could read again the next day.
"I don't know about you but I start getting hungry" He told you.
"Hmmm... I can cook tonight but I can only make grilled cheese sandwich" You laughed a little.
"Like in 'anyone but you'" He commented and you turned to faced him.
"You know the movie ?" Your eyes were wide.
"There's a lot you don't know about me" He winked at you before rolling out of bed and heading towards the kitchen.
You followed him still confused. He was right, there was so much you didn't knew about him, he was nothing like you thought he would be.
You cooked and then you ate together and he burned himself cause he didn't wait to eat. And you laughed, you laughed so much this evening your cheeks were hurting.
When you got to bed you were more confused than te night before but you were sure of one thing : Lando Norris was bad for your heart.
Tumblr media
You hadn't answered any text from Pietra since the call, you weren't mad anymore but she gad tricked you, so you could at least do that to get back on her.
The location was for a week, you had been there for now 6 days and your little crush for Lando hadn't stop growing.
You had both read, a lot actually, played chess, throew snowballs at each other, watched movies, talked and more.
You knew that when you were gonna leave this cottage everything will became like before, but just thinking about it was hurting you. You weren't sure you were able to hate him anymore.
Being now Lando's friend also means discovered a whole new side of him, like the fact that he was extremely touchy-feely. It's not that you were hating it, in fact you were loving it a bit too much.
"What are you thinking about ?" The boy asked you, you were reading and you haven't turned a single page in 10 minutes.
"Nothing much just got lost in my thought" You answered him smiling weakly.
He looked at you like he didn't believed a single you said, but he did'nt push it more and simply nodded.
"Wanna see something fun ?" You turned to him intrigued.
"What are you thinking about ?"
"Do you trust me?" He looked at you straight into your eyes.
You nodded. He smiled and took your hand leading you downstairs. His warm hand in yours felt so great, you wished you could kept the feeling forever.
It was already dark oustide so when he told you put on your shoes and coat as he did the same you hesitated a second. Maybe he was about to murder you in that dark forest.
A bit dramatic maybe.
But you never know.
After coming to the conclusion that the idea was ridiculous and that he could've had killed you countless times if he wants, you did as he told you.
"Okay close your eyes" You frown but he only waited for you to do so, so you finally closed your eyes.
He led you outside, you heard the snow creacked under your footsteps. After a few more steps and spoke again :
"Okay opened them now"
As you were looking around you, you realised that you were right in front of the cottage in the middle of the snow, you looked at him confused.
"Up" He told you pointing towards the stars.
And that's when your jaw dropped, the sky was fulled of stars, so bright, that was the prettiest things you ahd ever seen in your life.
"Woaw" Was all you managed to say you were like a child in front of christmas present.
"This is beautiful" You murmured amazed.
"Yes it is" He said looking right at you.
You couldn't helped but laughed "God lando that line is old like the world, you can do better than that" He laughed with you.
You both sat on the porch to looked at the stars comfortably.
"What do you see?" He said poiting towards the sky.
You thought a little bit before answering. "Right there you can clearly see a gun, and those stars here 15 feet away are forming Mcdonald's logo"
"God you're so american" He chuckled. At those words your heart beat a little faster, you were getting stupid, no he wasn't quoting...
"And before you ask, yes I'm quoting Olivia Rodrigo"
Oh god you cheeks were on fire now, actually no, your whole body.
"I thought you hated her" You said him clearing your throat that was suddenly really dry.
"Wrong she's kinda right, I do laugh at all your jokes and I would like if you'd come everywhere I'd go" He confessed.
Now quoting the whole chorus, you were melting right in front of him, how could he said such things this easily ?
"Don't do that" You warned him, it was snowing, how could you be so hot right now ?
"That what ?"
"You know what I mean"
He smiled fondly at you before getting up.
"Alright american girl, let's go to sleep"
You both head back inside and as he deposed you to your room, you realised you didn't want him to go, not now. Not when tomorrow you would had to leave this place and all the moments you shared behind.
"You want to come inside ? To... Chat a bit ?" You sugggested to him visibly embarassed.
His eyes widened and you wonder if maybe you shouldn't have said that but he smiled and agreed.
You were both sitting on your bed, the room deadly silent, none of you daring to speak first.
"Listen-"
"I've wanted to-"
"You go first" He told you.
"No you really, please"
"Okay, so... What did I need to do?"
"Sorry ?" You where caught off guard by his question.
"What can I do for you to finally look at me like i look at you?"
He was supposed to clarified himself with that sentence but you were just even more confused.
He groaned in front of your lack of reaction "Cmon, don't get me wrong I enjoyed it, but why do you think I would read romance and watched rom-com everyday ?? And actually learned lyrics of an Olivia Rodrigo song ?"
"Cause you liked them ?" He gave you a look that really said "Seriously ?"
"I don't know cause of your really sensible heart ?"
"Y/n..." He sighed at how clueless you were acting.
"I just don't know !" You shouted feeling lost and overwhelmed.
"You do know, you just don't want to admit it" He shouted back and you hated how right he was just now.
You send a death glare at him and as you were both staring at each other pupils you were hating so much. Oh god so much, he was freaking annoying.
How could you've had forgotten that.
That's why when he put a hand on your cheek and crahsed his lips on yours you put your arms around his neck and pulled him even closer.
Wait... What ?
You were kissing Lando. Everything was perfectly fine you were kissing Lando. OH. MY. GOD.
The kiss was rough and hungry, like he had wait for so long to do just that. Lando's lips were moving against yours but you wanted so much more.
Apparently him too, because at the second you opened your mouth a bit to gave him access he deepened the kiss. After what felt like an eternity but yet not enough he backed away a little from the kiss to breathed.
"Well..." He started but you cut him off. "Shut up"
You pulled him back into another kiss and god he wasn't complaining at all. Your lips were feeling so great against his, right were they belong.
His eyes widened when you pulled on the hem of his shirt. "Are you sure ?"
"Never been surer in my life" You replied tossing his shirt away in the room. He didn't waste anymore time "Can I ?" he asked his hands on the hem of your shirt.
"Sure, do whatever you want" He took off your shirt of you and started roaming your body with his hands.
"You really shouldn't say things like this."
Before you could replied his lips collapsed again with yours. That was a feeling he could never get used to, his favorite in the world, his lips on your lips.
Tumblr media
When you opened your eyes the next morning you're welcolmed by two eyes, and what beatiful eyes, staring at you.
"You're creepy" You chuckled while hiding your face in the crook of his neck.
"And you're gorgeous, morning beautiful" He told you with a sleepy voice, and you were loving that voice. This was definitly the best night you've ever had in your life.
"Morning" You said back snuggling a bit closer to him.
"I love you"
You're sleepiness disappear instantly at his words and you pushed yourslef on your elbows to look at him eyes widened.
"I'm sorry, that was really fast and-" He started apologizing, but you cut him with a chast kiss.
"I love you too Lan" You whispered like it was a secret.
And he smiled, the brightess smile you've had ever seen on his face.
"We should probably get up and make our suitcase" He suggested, and got you just wanted to stay all day long in this bed with him, but he was right.
Max and Pietra woulod probably came soon.
When their car parked on the driveway Lando and you were already in front of the cottage your suitcases in hand. You both seat in the back of the car.
As you and Lando gave your heart out on 'So american' by Olivia Rodrigo, Pietra and Max exchange a look.
"Looks like it works out at the end" She said and he just smiled at her agreeing.

I'm so glad you like it! Honestly, I'm pretty jealous as well. Though, I don't doubt he has the white noise generator and uses it on more than just those trips. Could you imagine Bruce and the other Bats going to the Supers, Clark, Kon, Kara, and Jon (who if I remember correctly has the best ears out of all of them) and when asked to track him down by sound, all of them are just like, "Red Robin? Oh no we can't do that." and when asked why, Clark gets nervous and says, "well. None of us have ever been able to hear his heart beat. We don't know what tech or magic he uses but *none* of us have ever been able to hear his heart. Not since he was 15. I asked you one time why I couldn't hear him and you just hummed at me!"
Meanwhile panic is rising in not just the hero community, but also the villain one. Red Robin has a *lot* of connections and if someone took or heaven forbid killed him? The Gothem Rouges remember what happened when the second Robin died, they know how bad Batman got. Now the Robin who saved them from him is gone? And now Nightwing and Red Hood and Spoiler and all the rest are on a Hunt, getting more violent like Batman did? Oh no, they are all going into hiding until this blows over.
Then there's also the villains connected to members of Young Justice. The Flash's Rouges Gallery hears that one of the Mini Speedsters is in a grief spiral and could end up seriously hurting them because one of his best friends has gone missing and is presumed dead? Fuck No. They are keeping their noses clean until it's done. So are the people who tend to antagonize Metropolis because Kon is *not* holding back. He grabbed Matallo and used his TTK to make him fall into thousands of pieces and then just stared down at him with a cold look of anger before leaving. Dr Light when to the ER when he tried to mess with the Teen Titans while both Dick and Damian were still on call and Tim was missing.
On day four of Tim being missing, Damian's head suddenly snaps up and he says, "I need to check a tracker." and the rest of the Bats follow him to the bat computer. When asked what he is doing, Damian admits, "a few years ago when I still hated Timothy, I put a tracker inside of his favorite camera, which he just so happened to bring with him on his trip. It may still be there and if he has his camera-" a few moments later, there is a ping on the screen showing the tracker is o the move, currently crossing the boarder from Kentucky into West Virginia. Tim has no idea what hell is coming for him, mostly because he figured that the Bats knew he did this every other month to unwind and relax. Traveling on a train for 4 to 6 days is his version of a vacation.
Glad for the add on. However, I think the angst reason for Tim "not having a heartbeat" would be because Kon died.
After Kon died, Tim created the machine to make sure no one else could hear his heartbeat (especially because Kon wasn't around for that anymore). When Kon came back, it was still a rough time for Tim. He was practically a feral and distrustful raccoon. Since he's still working on trusting people again, his heartbeat is still hidden (plus Kon hasn't brought it up, so Tim kind of forgot).
The stuff about the rogues is so true! That's why a few fanworks call Tim the "heart" of the batfam. I think all members play important roles and will similarly be missed. The heart comment is a cute nod to his role as a bridge and leash (he helped B obtain a larger support group and prevented him from killing people).
I like that this has Damian being the one to find out. Though Tim is grateful there's was a way for his family to find him while they were freaked out (he thought they knew about it), he's also exasperated at the tracker's existence. He probably pulls a prank on Damian for it.
Also, Tim 100% brings this incident back up with Bruce whenever the man complains about Tim's habit of overworking. He looks his father in the eyes and says, "The last time I took a vacation, you freaked out and mobilized the entire hero community to find me." They both know that's not what happened, but Tim is also not wrong.

Meta Jazz, the Arkham Intern Therapist Pt 2.2
Note: Part 2.2! The Bane Incident from Kon's POV! 😁
~*~*~
Two days later, Kon was back at Arkham undercover again. The Bats had caught Bane nearly 12 hours earlier after Red Hood showed up midway through the fight, lept off the overpass, and landed a blow directly to the top of Bane's head with a metal pipe on the way down. The behemoth of a man had crashed hard into the cement, immediately unconscious, and been taken directly to Arkham's medical facilities as soon as he arrived. He'd been checked over and cleared to head to his usual room in less than 15 minutes once he woke up the following afternoon.
Kon found out all of this afterwards.
He was headed back to the briefing room for his nect assignment after lunch when he spotted four senior guards, Collins, Ryans, Dorr, and Miles, escorting Bane from medical to his usual cell. He stepped into a doorway to let them pass by before continuing on his way. Kon had spent a productive lunch break chatting with Jasmine "please don't call me Fenton" while she waited for Dr. Rylie before he had to head back to the guards room so he wouldn't be late. He'd have to make sure to catch up with Dr. Rylie on the way out at the end of the day instead, Kon mused.
There was a shout behind him. Two bodies slamming hard into the walls on either side of the hall. A rush of fabric sliding across fabric. Rapid pounding footsteps.
Kon spun letting out a gasp as he saw Bane grab Jasmine's upper arm and yank her hard enough to make her stumble. The large man turned to face the guards behind him as he pulled her firmly back against his chest. Kon had the dart gun in his hands and leveled at Bane before he even realized he was moving. Dorr and Ryans had also already done the same. Miles was scrambling to his feet, drawing both his dart gun and baton. Collins slid to the ground, right shoulder visibly dislocated from hitting the wall at the wrong angle but he drew his tranquilizer dart gun as well.
"Weapons down or I'll snap her skinny little neck." Bane growled out, shaking Jasmine as emphasis. Her braid swung from the force of it.
Kon expected her to panic. He was panicking; a full grown, fully recognized superhero. Of course, he expected her to panic.
But Jasmine didn't.
Her expression smoothed out turning from barely-there surprise to blank calm in the span of a few seconds. Her breathing stayed deep and even. Her heart beat steady was steady. Was she in some kind of shock? But he had never heard of someone reacting like that to shock before.
"Back up! Let him through!" Dr. Rylie shouted to Kon and the other guards from where he had pressed himself against the wall on the opposite side from Bane. He must have been just a few steps ahead of Jasmine.
"She's my student! Let him through!" Dr. Rylie screamed again. His voice high pitched with fear for his intern.
Kon didn't know what to do. From the way Ryans and Dorr were exchanging looks, he wasn't sure they knew what the best approach was in this situation either. Of the five of them, Ryans was the most senior guard but he wasn't one of the six guards trained for hostage negotiations either. None of the scenarios they had trained for would work here. Jasmine was too similar in height to Bane for a good shot and a single tranquilizer wouldn't knock him out anyway. They couldn't possibly circle around behind him in this narrow hallway either.
Kon could practically taste the panic building in the air. The tension was rising. If he didn't think fast someone else was going to make the first move and Jasmine would get hurt and -
She sighed.
Long, heavy, and disappointed. It felt like every muscle in Kon's body locked up suddenly.
"Mr. Bane, remove your hands from my person, please. I will give you to one to comply." She said voice calm and heavy like - like she was disappointed in him?
Kon's stared at her bland expression in shock for a moment before his eyes darted back to Bane. The rogue looked momentarily stunned then started laughing.
"Five." Jasmine said, ignoring his laughter. Kon felt himself paling. His colleagues were shifting, white faced with fear as they traded glances again.
"Four." She continued. Bane snorted derisively at her.
"Did you really think that would work?" He asked. His arms tightened around her. There was no way Jasmine was getting out of this without bruises.
"Three." She said ignoring Bane's question. Holy shit. Had she lost her mind?
"What can you even do if I don't?" Bane mocked with a rabid gleam in his eye. He's going to kill her, Kon realized faintly, even if we let him go now he's going to snap her neck for this.
"Two."
"Jasmine..." Kon whispered pained and horrified by his realization. Loosening his grip on the dart gun without meaning too. She met his gaze across the hall, eyes resolved.
"One." She finished, brows furrowing slightly in concentration as her lips thinned, pressed together. Bane gave a derisive snort.
And then the massive man was airborne.
"Holy shit." Miles breathed out.
Kon stared at the crater in the floor. Collins and Dorr were absolutely silent, hearts racing in their chests. Ryans took a half step forward, heart stuttering - Kon really hoped the man wasn't about to have a heart attack because he could rush him to medical right now. Dr. Rylie was half collapsed against the wall he'd been pressing himself against a strangled sound of shock coming from his throat. Bane was embedded in the floor breath wheezing as Jasmine half knelt on top of his neck. Oh wow, Kon registered, Bane's arm is fucked.
"Now, do you know what you've done wrong?" Jasmine asked looking down at the giant.
"Yes, Ma'am." Bane choked out.
"Fucked with the wrong HBIC." Collins muttered under his breath faintly still stunned.
"Jasmine for president." Miles whispered back automatically.
"Boys," Dorr scolded as he half lowered his dart gun, shifting his weight at the same time.
"Won't be making her angry around that time of month." Ryans mumbled to himself softly enough that Kon was the only person who could have possibly heard him.
"What did you do wrong?" Jasmine pressed. Collins choked back an inappropriate hysterical giggle at the question. Bane appeared to panic when he realized he'd have to respond.
No wonder, Kon thought, the man literally grew up in Santa Prisca's prisons. Did he even know how to respond to -Kon choked on air - a maternal scolding?! What the ever loving fuck? He bluescreened. Stood there in the hallway, absolutely stunned, completely unaware of his surroundings as he struggled to process the fact that Jasmine was giving Bane a maternal scolding in the middle of an Arkham hallway right in front of him. Maybe I've finally gone nuts? Kon wondered.
Jasmine gestured vaguely towards the group of them without turning to look and Kon snapped back to the present.
"Kyle here is going to take you to see the nurse and then back to your room then. I'm sure you'll behave for him?" Oh shit, that's me she's talking about. Kon walked towards her still a bit numb.
"Yes, Ma'am. I'll behave." Bane answered her. Kon watched as Jasmine stood up carefully and backed away from Bane far enough for him to pull himself out of the crater in the floor. Once he was on his feet, Kon led Bane back towards medical realizing as he did that there had been four other guards behind him this whole time.
Two of them darted forward and scooped up Collins, probably to take him to the guards medical ward along the outer wall patrol route. The other two fell in with Kon, Dorr, Miles, and Ryans. As they walked away Kon could hear Jasmine talking to Dr. Rylie.
"I'm fine, really. My mother was an extremely skilled martial artist. I've been learning from her since I started to walk." She explained honestly, trying to sooth the frazzled doctor's nerves. "I didn't know he was heavy enough to break the floor though!" Jasmine laughed.
That - heart beat uneven, vocal cords tense - that second part was a lie.
