ok this is gonna be disorganized and i can’t properly articulate it rn but tnc: freefall really seems like it’ll be a huge turning point in txt lore given all the parallelisms with their previous album concepts:

Reality = You (tcc: freeze) + Mess (m2:tc) ?

Melancholy = World (tcc: freeze) + chaotic wonderland ?

Clarity = Starboard (tdc: eternity) + Crown MV (tdc: star) ?

And the fact that tnc: temptation was so dreamy and alluring makes the contrast with tnc: freefall really feel like a freefall 😵‍💫

someone even said it feels as though they’ll be leaving the txt lore behind with tnc: freefall and i am not okay 🥹 (esp given that the star seekers series has already ended?)

(from a performance and astro-related standpoint, saw a tweet saying their cb date, oct 13, has the LB in it which indicates a major life transition — either a departure of sorts or levelling up. the last time they had LB was for the cb for the freeze era, which was fucking huge for them!!)

Would the big change then actually be them leaving their lore behind and living in our reality? 👀 Have we truly reached the end of all the chapters in txt’s lore? 🤔

I, for one, am a sucker for a good concept and find that it makes a group/album more engaging since there are more layers to unpack and connect compared to the work of a musical artist who does not follow such an elaborate worldbuilding approach.

That said, TXT is still and will always be a group that strives to represent their generation. The star seekers au serves as an extended metaphor — adding to the storytelling but is not the entirety of their story of their youth.

clown mode on but if we see any or all of them taking on instruments for this album, i’m gonna be delusional and say it’ll be the start of txt sharing their own stories directly with us — no other timeline or universe but present day Earth 👀

Asking specifically bc of Malleus cause I can't tell anymore if he has any more new cards bc HE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A 100 DISNEY ANIVERSARY CARD IN THE WIKI I USE 😭

Like compared to everyone else in Disanomia, he has 12 cards (in the wiki I use) and then Lilia has 17 cards 💀

Cause I think Malleus has a Bean's Day card as well, but that could just be a fanmade one, I don't have JP twst nor ENG twst anymore so I can't confirm it myself urhghrhevw 🫠

Malleus doesn't have a Beans Day card, so that would've been fanmade! and the 100 anniversary cards are actually the new round of birthday cards, so most of the characters don't have 'em yet -- Malleus should be getting his in a couple of days, when his birthday event starts! oh god my keeeeeys

I think the wiki.gg stays pretty up to date? it looks to me like they have everything that's currently up through JP, at least. :O I did go through and do a quick count just because I couldn't believe Malleus only had 12 cards, but. he really does have the least...defeated only by Silver with 13...astonishing. we need his gargoyle club wear immediately.

i was admiring txt's gda outfits (the glittery jewelry prince ones, not the red carpet ones) and i love that they can wear prince outfits again and again and it will never look old! and i love too that their prince outfits always have different concepts or vibes: the princes from a lost world from freeze world concept, ice princes from 2021 sbs gayo daejeon, pink lovestruck princes from act lovesick, more down to earth princes from act sweet mirage, the whole princes from different kingdoms thing from that one episode of to do.... i'm probably missing a few too in that list lmao but there's just so many and they ALWAYS look amazing in them!!

Twisted Monsterland: Sleepy Birds

So…let’s talk harpies.

Without going into details about the overall species (I’ll save that for the baby monster bestiary I’m working on), I will say that harpies can be based on all species of birds. Falcons, eagles, and vultures? Sure, they’re more commonly known as the base foundation for the species, but they’re not the only ones! Crowley is a good example as a corvid harpy, and some of Rook’s siblings are based on birds of paradise like parrots and macaws! Some can even be based on delicate birds like the hummingbird~

Oof…just thinking about having to flap my arms that fast as a harpy makes me tired! 0.0

Now, you’re probably wondering, “That’s neat! But…where are you going with this?” And that’s a good question! Because we’re gonna talk about birbs~!

I’ve never owned a bird as a pet before, but my grandparents had one when we used to visit in my childhood. One thing I learned about birds (aside from the fact that we had to clap whenever their bird performed a trick on her own and someone saw it) is that one common thing bird owners do to calm down their feathery companions:

The “sleepy-time blanket”!

When the blanket goes over the cage, it’s supposed to mimic night time so the bird thinks it’s time to sleep. And when the cover is removed? It’s time to sing good morning~! Granted, it seems like this varies from bird-to-bird, but considering how often I’ve struggled to stay awake in school whenever the teachers used powerpoint slides in a dark room? Yeah, I get very sleepy in those cases. 😅

Now…imagine if Yuu discovered this by complete accident in the Monster!AU. >v>

Yuu: *hanging laundry out to dry on a bright, sunny day* “Hey, Grim? I need another clothes peg. The middle is sagging too much.”

Grim: “Yeah, yeah, here.” *flaps wings to hover next to Yuu, holding a bag in his paws* “Are we done yet? I’m bored…”

Yuu: “We’d be done sooner if someone hadn’t taken one of the bedsheets while the ghosts were collecting laundry and added one more load to wash and dry.” *unaware of a large shadow on the other side of the sheet, Yuu frowning as they go to take the sheet down and redo the arrangement*

???: “Bonjour, little Trickster~!”

Yuu/Grim: “Ack-!?!”

Crash!! Fwomp!

Grim: *pinned under Yuu* “Get…off! You’re heavy!”

Yuu: “Ow…sorry!” *climbs to their feet with a wince before turning to face the visitor now covered under the sheet* “Rook! You scared us half-to-death!”

*Rook doesn’t move, eerily silent as he stands there*

Grim: “Hm? Hey, wazza matter? You usually start talkin’ funny by now!” *huffs when he doesn’t get a response and goes to peek under the sheet* “Hey! Are you listenin’ to m…eh? Wait a minute…he’s asleep!?"

Yuu: “Huh??”

Grim: “He fell asleep standing! See?!” *yanks off blanket, pulling off Rook’s hat at the same time*

Rook: *straightens up with a blink, fluttering his wings before feathers settle down and he smiles* “Oh, there you are, Trickster. How are you faring this morning?”

Grim: “Mrah!? I thought you were asleep! What gives?”

Rook: “Hm? I was asleep? I don’t recall…”

Grim: “Yes you were! You were practically snorin’!”

Yuu: *picks up the sheet again, looking between it and Rook before slowly climbing back on the stepladder near Rook*

Rook: “Non, non, I promise you that I did not fall aslee-”

Yuu: *throws sheet over Rook’s head again*

Rook: “Mon di-!?” *freezes before slumping, standing in place in silence again*

Yuu: “…holy crap…I wonder if this’ll work on Ace or Cater?”

Grim: “What’s going on?!”

Needless to say, Rook was thoroughly confused by this until Yuu told him what happened. This also leads to a discussion on harpy parents using their wings to settle down rowdy chicks and restless hatchlings. Suffice to say, Yuu decided to run their own experiment on their fellow winged students. The results were…interesting to say the least.

Ace: Froze in place but was wide awake.

Cater: Fell asleep but collapsed on his side.

Leona: Blanket was torn to shreds from manticore quills. Hiding out in Diasomnia until he cools down.

Kalim: Normal blanket activates the zoomies. Introduced weighted blanket. Instant calm and Jamil is left baffled and grateful at the same time by this discovery!

Crowley: Fell asleep instantly. Sheets have been weaponized by the staff on occasion, so now he flies away at the sight of anyone carrying one towards him.

Seeing these results makes Yuu question what other animal reactions the students can possibly have. Meanwhile, their fellow students are warily watching the human scribble down notes in a notepad while carrying a jar of peanut butter.

Jack: “…why do you need me to be in beast form?”

Yuu: “I wanted to see something.”

Jack: “Okay…but what’s with the peanut butter?”

Yuu: “This? It’s just a tasty snack.” *opens it and scoops out a large spoonful* “See? Just regular peanut butter.”

Jack: “…alright.” *shifts into Fu dog form, nearly eye-to-eye with Yuu now* “Okay. What did you want to se—mfph!?!” *scrambles back after Yuu shoves the spoonful of peanut butter in his mouth, licking and trying to chew at the same time* “Blamph! Namf-nif-thaths?!”

Yuu: *scribbling notes* “Fu dogs react to peanut butter like dogs. Fascinating…I wonder if catnip affects manticore too?”

Ruggie: “Do you have some sort of death wish???”

you were so sure you would’ve been able to get away with passing the note.

trein had his back completely turned, scribbling away at the chalkboard, busy talking about some historical figure. it was the perfect opportunity, and you would’ve gotten away with it… if lucius wasn’t such a little snitch.

“prefect,” he called, and you fell back into your seat, trembling. fuck, this is it. you’ve been caught. “i trust that lucius wouldn’t lie to me. are you passing notes in my class?” he asked, arms crossed.

there were a couple of mocking “ooooh’s” across the classroom, and you rolled your eyes. what is this? primary school?

“yes sir, yes it is.” you admitted, glaring right into lucius’ beady little eyes. the cat was completely unfazed by and just sat there, grooming himself.

“i see. well, why don’t you come to the front of the class and read it aloud for all of us?” he asked. you froze. “i’m sure if it was something you couldn’t wait to tell your friend after class, it must be very interesting.”

you stuttered, gripping the note in your hand. you looked over at your boyfriend as if asking for help, but he shrugged his shoulders uselessly. internally crying, you carry our the best plan your brain can think of right now. “i’m sorry, mr. trein, but i can’t.”

he raised an eyebrow at your response. “and why is that?”

“because,” you stuff the paper in your mouth, chewing it, and swallowing it. “there’s no more note for me to read.” you say triumphantly. checkmate, grandpa.

you and trein stare at each other for about a minute.

“…. prefect, please step out into the hall.” damn it.

he’s laughing throughout the whole thing, you just know he’s never gonna let this shit go. he’s gonna bring it up like at least five times per day. starts full on cackling when you get kicked out of the classroom and ends up getting kicked out too for being too much of a disruption.

he sits down next to you in the hall, starting to snicker again when he sees your ashamed face.

“was eating the note really the only solution that brain of yours could come up with?” he snickered. “you couldn’t have just ripped it up instead?”

“look, i was panicking! people do dumb things when they panic— besides, would you rather of let me read what you said about riddle to the class instead?” you ask with a smirk, watching his face pale at the thought of his shit-talk about riddle spread around the school.

he didn’t need anymore trouble with his dorm leader, he’s tired of having to do extra chores around heartslabyul. “yeah, no. you got me there.”

#y/nwhywouldyoudothat 💔💔 but no really, why would you? it’s bewildering, really! there wasn’t even anything gossipy or such that would get you two in trouble— it was an innocent convo, you guys were just writing to each other about your plans for the weekend! he’s gotta admit it was pretty funny though, and he’s totally gonna tease you a bit for it.

with class finally over, cater ran up to you with a smirk. upon seeing him, you sighed, knowing you were about to be clowned on.

“y’know, i think what you did is pretty magicam worthy,” he hums, pulling out his phone. “i might make a post about it!”

“you better not!” you swipe for his phone and he skillfully dodges.

“but it might hit trending!”

floyd leech

with this, you’ve officially landed yourself as #1 in floyd’s ‘most interesting people’ list, and i’m not too sure whether you should be happy or horrified about it. he’s grinning as he watches you dejectedly walk out of the classroom when a lightbulb goes off in his head— he pulls out a post-it and a pen and scribbles away.

after your 10 minute scolding from trein about why you shouldn’t pass notes in class and why you shouldn’t eat them, you rush towards your seat, trying to ignore all the eyes on you.

but when you pass by floyd, he pushes a crumpled up post-it note in your hand. you quickly force it into your pocket before trein could notice and send your ass back into the hall.

when you’re back in your seat, you dig it out and quietly unfold it under the table. after reading it, you click your tongue.

‘will you eat this note too, shrimpy?’ with a poorly drawn smiley face under it.

Tsum tsum mayhem

Imagine how much WORSE it would be if the tsum tsums that came to twisted wonderland were like those from tsum tsum shorts on the Disney channel. Those things are CRAZY. so here's some headcanons.

So in the shorts, tsum stums have 2 abilities; to grow to 3-4 times their size at will, and shrink back to normal by expelling steam from their ears or nose. Or to be able to create 4 copies of themself by sneezing!

so if there was a mc tsum, everyone would be trying to take it from the others to spend some time with it. best way to give the poor tsum some peace is to have it sneeze a bunch. now everyone gets a tsum mc!

Tsum riddle would grow to 3 times his size so often when he gets mad, which is a lot.

DO NOT ALLOW FLOYD'S TSUM TO SNEEZE. it happened once and they had to lock up the extras in a room until they disappeared. mass destruction ensued and the area of the incident was unrecognizable within 5 minutes.

floyds tsum loves to scare everyone by jumping off of high places since tsum's just bounce.

Epels tsum wants to sneeze and try to beat up Vil. epel is tempted to let it happen.

If rook had a tsum it would be silent instead of making squeaking sounds every time it moved like all other tsum's.

The octatrios tsum's can turn into mer tsum's when in the water for long enough.

Rook can understand the squeaking language of the tsums, he just likes to pretend he doesn't hear the sheer amount of cussing and insults epels tsum is screaming.

Leona's tsum will grow big just to shove other tsums off of it.

Jack's tsum is the only tsum that tries to keep the others from causing too much chaos. will multiply himself to be more efficient and loves to lift things by growing and shrinking.

Sebeks tsum will gro big in-between malleus and anyone who get's too close for the tsums liking. If malleus asks it to stop it will be on the verge of tears.

Riddles tsum causes trouble but does uphold the other tsums it can see to the queen's rules.

And last but not least is caters tum

It will 100% use a mix of its abilities to create good pictures and asthetics

Cater and the tsum bond even more due to both having the ability to make clones of themselves.

multiple caters and multiple tsums ave been seen around different areas of the campus to get the perfect shot.
