Jade’s POV

I softly knocked on Tony’s office door,“Mr. Stark, have you seen Dr. Banner?” I asked once I was granted permission to enter.

“Uh, I have no clue. What’s up, newbie?” Tony asked, appearing to look bored.

“Oh I don’t know, I’ve just been on this remote island for the last 4 weeks and finally ran out of boring busy work and was just maybe hoping I could be assigned something that actually challenges me.” I huffed, tucking my long brown hair behind my ear.

“The real work will come soon, don’t worry.” Tony sighed, clicking away on his computer. “Why don’t you go back to the compound for the day?” Tony suggested, without even looking away from the screen that was currently consuming him.

“Why don’t you tell me why we’re really here?” I asked, quickly getting irritated. That comment finally made Tony lookup, with a look of surprise on his features. “We’ve been here 4 weeks and Banner keeps going off on his own, fully knowing I’m here and happy to help. I’ve signed every NDA you could think of, so if you both don’t think I’m smart enough to be here, then why am I here?” I asked with my head held high. I was very sick of being completely useless at the new compound, and I definitely didn’t want to waste my talent if it isn’t being used properly.

“Listen newbie, go home early today and Banner and I will sort everything out and get you some real work. You wouldn’t be here if we didn’t think you could do the job you’re hired for.” He explained softly, almost as if he was empathic.

I sighed, I got more than I was expecting at least. “Fine, but if things don’t change tomorrow, I’ll be giving my 24 hour notice.”

“Got it.”

I retreated back to my office to gather my things to head back to the apartment Tony had given me while we’re here. Soon enough I was walking out the front door, after stopping quickly to say goodbye to Eden, a cute little old lady that works the front desk.

I stride through the parking lot quickly, the heat almost consuming me. I was never one to like warm weather, so the fact I came here to be a part of something top secret was mind blowing. I come to a short stop when I notice Bruce’s car was missing from the lot, where could he possibly go? There was about 5 buildings here in total, maybe he’s back at the compound.

I sigh as I start my car and let it idle for a few minutes before peeling out of the surprisingly small parking lot. I begin to make my way back to the compound in silence when I see Bruce’s car parked on the side of the road, about 5 minutes away from the office.

I pull up behind his car before turning mine off and climbing out. Either he’s sleeping in his car or he needs some help. “Bruce?” I call out, knocking on the passenger window. I got no answer, so I tried opening the door and to my surprise it was open.

After taking a quick look inside, I turn around to face the jungle behind me. I groaned as I began to walk towards the edge, I couldn’t live with myself if Bruce had turned green and ventured out there and I did nothing to help.

“Bruce?” I yelled out, shielding my eyes from the sun while trying to look through the trees. I came to a short stop when I finally approached the edge, almost startled at what I found.

Bruce was sitting on the grass about 30 feet away, watching two grown men fiddle with a rubix cube. The tall blonde man began cheering, raising his arms above his head in victory. I couldn’t help myself as I did a once over both men standing in front of Bruce, they were absolutely beautiful.

Both had thick beards, and shoulder length hair. The blonde man was slightly taller, and the other man had dark brown, almost black hair. They were both merely wearing towels over their lower region, immediately recognizable as towels from the compound. I gasped as I looked back up to the brunette's face, to see him already staring back at me.

His lips pulled back in a snarl, gaining the attention of the blonde man as well. I gasped before quickly turning around to run back to my car, which ended up to be a huge mistake. I could barely hear Bruce yelling for them to stop, but before I know it I’m tackled to the floor.

“Oh my god!” I gasp, trying to push the brunette off of me, but boy was he strong. I look past him to see the blonde man crouching down next to us, intently watching.

“James! Off!” Bruce yelled, as he approached the three of us. “This is Jade, she is a friend.” He calmly spoke, making James look away from me for half a second.

“Friend?” James asked Bruce, before looking back down at me. He brings his face close enough for our noses to touch, before I start wiggling around underneath him.

“Not..like us.” Blonde spoke up, before advancing closer.

“She’s a lady, you treat her with respect and get off of her, James.” Bruce scolded, finally getting him off top of me. Immediately I scramble to my feet, breathing heavily.

“Bruce, will you PLEASE fill me in?” I desperately asked, staring at the two men who were staring straight back.

“This is James and Steven. They are super soldiers who have claimed this land as their own, and we’re here to study them.” Bruce sighed, rubbing his forehead gently.

“What the hell is a super soldier?” I asked incredulously, having never heard of that term in any work I’ve done so far.

“Their DNA was enhanced when they were a few months old. They’re capable of operating beyond normal human limits, heal quickly, basically everything we have but better.” He explained poorly, stuffing his hands in his pockets.

“How long have you known they were here?” I asked quietly as Steven approached me, inspecting me closely.

“A few months, but every time our drones got close enough to find where they take shelter, James would tear them to shreds.” Bruce explained, making me nod curtly.

I held in a sigh, “If it’s alright with you, I’d like to continue on home.” Steven quickly shook his head no making me raise an eyebrow towards Bruce.

“Lady friend is hurt. We fix.” Steven huffed, glaring over at James. I looked down to my arm, where a small amount of blood had fallen from. When James tackled me I must have scraped up my elbow or something, nothing too horrible.

“She’s fine, Steven. She will get bandaged up when she gets home.” Bruce explained, but before anyone could say anything else, I was swept off my feet by James. I let out a startled gasp, before immediately trying to get out of his iron grip.

“I hurt, I fix. Bruce.” He addressed, before he started sprinting.

“BRUCE!” I yelled, thrashing wildly in James’ arms. Steven was right behind us, as I watched Bruce’s screaming figure get smaller and smaller.

Fic Idea:

Tony is a proper society omega on a tour of his family's weapons plants with his new fiancée, Ty, and his bestie/chaperone, Rhodey.

Except, Tony wouldn't know proper if it bit him on the ass, and he doesn't want a blood soaked company OR his father's choice for alpha.

He and Rhodey bolt when Ty is on a hunting safari and quickly get lost in the jungles that surround the SI plant in Rwanda.

They have a plan but they don't account for getting lost af.

They do find a WWII era bunker and decide to bunk down for the night.

That's where they find a family of gorillas.

And two alphas who are 100% not gorillas.

Tony immediately bonds with Steve and they try to bridge the communication and civilization gap between them, try to understand where the fuck they came from.

Ty is hunting them, which Steve has FEELINGS about.

Bucky is a little slower to trust Rhodey but Rhodey is used to charming prickly burnetts with trust issues.

Anyway tarzan stony, or how Tony runs away and finds love in the jungle with steve.

A/N: This little story popped into my head as I was driving to work and Candy Man by Christina Aguilera came on and I had to get this down. I will interspersing the lyrics into the story as it goes along. This is dedicated to @buckyalpine @frostironfudge

Also this is an MCU au Bucky never fell from the train IDC! Make sure you listen to the song as well.

Maybe you were being bise, but you thought you had the most handsome and sexiest boyfriend ever. Sergeant James Buchanan Barnes. You have been dating Bucky for almost a year now and you both were so happy you always wondered if the other shoe would drop. But you never wanted to look a gift horse in the mouth so yeah. You met Bucky one night at a nightclub in brooklyn. You were standing at the bar waiting for the bartender to bring your drink when he came in with his friend Steve Rogers and a few of the howling commandos. As you were turning around with your drink in hand you looked directly into his eyes as he finished talking to steve.

As soon as he saw you he walked right over to you with determination. Your breath hitched as he was walking towards you mid drink. He stopped about a foot away from you, boring his eyes into yours.

“Hi, my name is James but you can call me bucky. What's your name darlin?” stretching out your hand for him to shake “My name is Y/N, it's a pleasure to meet you.” Grabbing your hand and bringing it to his lips for the lightest kiss to your knuckles. “Oh, the pleasure is all mine.” You both fell into easy conversation. After about 15 mins you got to him asking you what you did for work, that's when the bartender came up to you telling you you had 3 mins. “Well I guess I’ll have to show you what I do Sergeant.” with a wink and a smile you went backstage. As soon as you got on stage with your 2 best friends christy and millie you went into your song and dance for all the patrons. Bucky immediately fell in love. Your voice was fierce but sweet.

That brings you to tonight, you had a special treat for bucky tonight. You have been practicing this routine and song you wrote for bucky for a month trying to get it perfect. As you were looking from backstage you finally spotted Bucky sitting front and center with his buddies. You came out and walked right up to him and sat on his lap and gave a hello kiss.

“Hey baby, I'm so glad you were able to make it tonight.” “Hey when my girl asks me to come see her perform I will not let her down.” “Well I'm so happy because you're about to see something new and special.” With that you gave him a hug and a chaste kiss and went back behind the stage.

The music started and a man yelled into the crowd.

Tarzan and Jane swingin from a vine!

Then the spotlight hit you and your friends and began singing.

Candyman, candyman. Then the man again.

Sippin' from a bottle of vodka double wine And back to you

Sweet, sugar. Candyman. All of a sudden Bucky was being brought up on stage to sit in front of you, and you began to sing again.

“I met him out for dinner on a Friday night

There's nothing more dangerous than a boy with charm.”

Bucky was in total shock. You were singing directly to him.

You had a big smile on your face as you sang to him, his equally as big. So he sat back and watched his girl sing to him.

“He took me to the Spider club on Hollywood and Vine. We drank champagne, and we danced all night. We shook the paparazzi for a big surprise (a big surprise)

He grabbed your hand and as you turned around he was beginning to lower down on one knee. You had wide eyes and your mouth was opening and closing like a fish.

“Y/N, you are an amazing woman. We met in this club almost a year ago and I knew from that day I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you. I don't have a ring but I have this.” Bucky reaches into his uniform and grabs his dog tags. “Will you marry me?”

You are completely frozen in place. Meanwhile the club is going wild, your friends are freaking out and Steve is yelling at you for an answer. When you come back to reality, you see those beautiful blue eyes and see your heart, your life, your future.

“Yes James Buchanan Barnes I will marry you!” He scoops you up and spins you around in circles while giving you a mind blowing kiss. After the need to breathe hits you both, he brings you down on your feet and puts his dog tags around your neck.

“I promise baby I will give you the ring you deserve real soon.”

“It's ok Bucky, take all the time you need, I'm not going anywhere. What is it that you and Steve say? I'm with you till the end of the line.”
