A/N: This is for @decayish and @kireirengoku Wanna Ruin Our Friendship Collab! Also big thanks to @offendedfishnoises for proofing this for me! I hope you all enjoy it!
It wasn’t supposed to go like this.
You and Tengen were supposed to stay friends, and nothing was supposed to change. That was the whole point of childhood friends right?
Wrong.
Growing up together, the two of you were inseparable going everywhere and doing everything together. Where one of you was found, the other was right behind yelling about something unrelated.
Your mothers would joke about how the two of you would one day fall in love, to which you would scrunch up your face and give a disgusted look at the idea of falling in love with your best friend.
All that changed after high school.
Taking the summer, you decided to travel around the world to see various places you had only read about in books. Hawaii, London, Paris, and so many more where you got to see how other people lived their lives and went about their summer vacation.
When you returned, everything was going to go back to normal while you and Tengen were slated to go to the same university. He was going for an art degree while you were going for photography.
It wasn’t until the back to school party you both attended did you notice it. There he was lounging back on the couch with his arms resting on it, and you caught the faintest glint of metal as he took a bite of whatever cheap food was served.
As if he could feel you staring at him, Tengen turned to look at you with a confused look. “What?”
You saw it again, the slightest hint of silver in his mouth. Leaning forward, you were almost on his lap trying to figure out what the hell was in his mouth.
“Can I help you, or are you just going to stare at me?” he asked, raising a brow.
Now that you were this close, you could see clearly what it was. Tengen had gotten a tongue ring.
“When did you get that?”
“What?”
You were seconds from grabbing his tongue and pulling it out of his mouth, if it wasn’t for the shit eating grin he had on his face as he watched you stare at him.
“You know what! When did you get the piercing?”
“I got it over the summer,” Tengen then stuck his tongue out at you, showing off the little ball that rested on his tongue. “Like it?”
Like it?
Like it?
There was no way in hell you could tell Tengen the thoughts going through your head. All you could think about was how that little piece of metal would feel against the roof of your mouth as he kissed you senseless.
Wait, since when did you want your best friend to kiss you?
Jumping back away from him, you avoided Tengen’s look as you tried to occupy yourself with anything but the look he was giving you. The rest of the party was spent with you avoiding your friend at all costs, no matter what he did to try and figure out what caused your sudden mood change.
It took weeks for you to be even able to look at him without those thoughts flooding into your mind, and more. Two months, and you could hold a conversation with him again without wanting to run and hide.
After a long night of studying, you had a couple of girlfriends over. Shinobu was lounging back on your futon next to you with Mitsuri draped across your laps. Several drinks were shared, and all inhibitions were gone.
“So Y/N, what’s been going on with you lately?” Shinobu asked. “We never see you anymore,”
“School, and other reasons.”
Not one to be oblivious, Shinobu and Mitsuri had noticed you were avoiding a certain someone. Was it because you finally realized your true feelings for your friend?
Narrowing her eyes, Shinobu was determined to get the truth from you. “Have you ladies noticed anything new?”
Mitsuri lifted her head off Shinobu’s lap to look at the two of you. “Either of you notice that our mathlete team is better than our football team?”
Hiding your giggles, you watched Shinobu roll her eyes. “I mean anything new within our inner circle.”
“I’ve noticed Mitsuri getting close with a certain someone,” you grinned watching her face turn a slight shade of pink.
“That had nothing to do with right now, do you want to talk about why you’ve been avoiding Tengen lately?”
“I haven’t been avoiding him.” you answered quickly.
The other two girls raised a brow and shared a knowing smile. “You sure? Because once school started, I’ve seen you without him more than I’ve seen you with him. It wouldn’t have anything to do with your trip does it?”
Lifting your cup, you looked at it. “It’s not my fault he decided to get a fucking piercing while I was gone.” you muttered into your cup before taking a long drink.
Mitsuri sat up and spit out her drink. “What!?”
Giving them a side-eyed look, you were really confused now. Why was this such a big deal?
“You’re telling me that it was a tongue piercing that made you realize you were attracted to your best friend, and not the fact you were apart for months?” Shinobu asked.
“What are you two talking about?”
The girls shared yet another look. They loved you, but damn were you oblivious. Deciding to change the topic, the three of you finished off the last bottle of tequila before crashing for the night. Mitsuri was your dorm mate, and neither of you minded letting Shinobu take the futon.
It wasn’t until almost a week later when you realized something was up.
Not only  were Shinobu and Mitsuri more secretive around you, but Tengen seemed to be around a lot more and you were trying to distance yourself. The night with the girls was a blur so you had no recollection of everything that happened, but you had a feeling that Tengen’s sudden clinginess was tied to it.
Walking back from your last class of the day, you kicked open the door to your dorm to find that someone was already there and waiting for you. Sitting in a pair of gray sweats and a muscle tank, Tengen watched as you shut the door and turned to see him there.
“Tengen! How did you get in here?” you squeaked, avoiding his look.
“Mitsuri gave me her key, said we needed to talk.”
You were not liking where this was going.
Gripping your bookbag in your arms tightly, you stepped back against the door as Tengen rose to his feet and walked over to you. Placing his hands on his hips, he leaned down to look at you through his thick lashes.
“T–Talk?” you stuttered, “What do we need to talk about?”
Raising a brow as if to ask if you were serious, Tengen tilted his head. “She said you were avoiding me, want to tell me why?”
Tightening your lips, you refused to speak knowing your voice would betray you.
“Not going to talk?” he asked. “That’s too bad, I wanted to hear how much you liked my piercing from your lips not hers.”
Your eyes went wide, just what did you say that night to her and Shinobu?
Watching as he leaned closer, Tengen licked his lips with the piercing visible from your view. What you wouldn’t give to see what it feels like. Looking at your feet, you could feel his eyes on you savoring every movement.
Tengen grinned down at you, watching your body visibly tense as he leaned closer.
“You want to see what it feels like?”
Lifting your head up quickly, you were met with his fuchsia eyes staring at you with a hidden gleam in them. Before you knew what you were doing, you nodded and Tengen’s lips were on yours.
Your head thudded back against the wooden door, as his mouth lay claim to yours. His hands took your waist, as you set the bag on the floor. Slowly he began to pry open your mouth with his lips before slipping his tongue in your mouth.
A soft whimper left you at the feeling of the piercing on the roof of your mouth. The cool metal made your knees weak as Tengen used his arms to support your wait so you wouldn’t collapse.
Running his tongue along yours, your body shivered feeling the metal ball caress yours.
Breaking the kiss, Tengen inhaled through his nose as he nuzzled your face.
“Fuck baby girl–” pressing kisses to the skin of your throat, he pulled you closer. “Wanna feel it in other places?”
An airy moan left your lips feeling his on your neck, leaning into his hold. Fuck did you want to see what else he could do to you; everything he could give you and more.
“Tengen–” you gasped. “I wanna–.” It was getting hard to breathe from the way he was looking at you.
“I want more.”
Not wasting another second, Tengen grabbed you by the waist and pulled you towards the couch. Laying you back on it, his lips were on yours before his hands made work of exploring your body.
Large hands grabbed at your breasts, hips and thighs desperate to get more of your soft skin while his mouth kissed you fiercely. Leaning up into his touch, you tugged on his hair wanting to feel more of him.
Pulling away from your lips, Tengen chuckled as you let out a soft whine.
“Don’t stop–”
Shushing you with another kiss, Tengen’s hands worked on the button of your shorts. “Don’t worry baby girl, I’ll take care of you.” Pressing a kiss to the inside of your thigh, Tengen began to pull down your jeans shorts to reveal a cute pair of pink panties with bunnies on them, already soaked through from your arousal.
“I always knew you were a cute, pink bunny kind of girl.” he grinned, pulling you closer by the ankles once your shorts were off.
“I swear, if you say one more damn word before you fuck me, I will rip that piercing out.” you threatened.
“Feisty too,”
You were about to say something when Tengen’s tongue lapped at your clothed pussy, causing you to gasp at the feeling. Tipping your head back, your hip bucked up towards him desperate for more.
“What was that darling?”
“Fuck you,”
“I’m trying, but someone keeps interrupting me.” he grinned.
Dodging the swipe to his head, Tengen grabbed your wrists and held them above your head to the arm of the couch. “Now, now, do I need to punish you already baby girl?”
Shrinking back into the couch, you bit your lip and shook your head.
“That’s my girl,” he hummed, nuzzling his face in your shoulder to place a kiss before moving lower once again. His lips danced across your skin as he slid the bottom of your shirt up, nipping at the skin of your hip. Before you could blink, his teeth latched onto the lace lining of your panties before teasingly pulling them down.
Leaving them resting at your knees, Tengen took your legs and propped them over his shoulders giving him full access to your cunt. A shudder ripped through you feeling his hot breath fan over your core, his mouth too far for your liking.
“Tengen–” rutting your hips into his face, you let out a whine at the lack of contact.
Holding your hips down, Tengen leaned down and licked up your folds humming in content at the gasp that escaped you. The feeling of the cool metal had you keening at his touch, already desperate for more and he’s barely touched you.
A grin formed on his face as he did it again, but this time he lingered fully tasting your arousal as it clung to his tongue. Savoring the taste of you on his tongue, Tengen nuzzled your clit with his nose pushing his tongue into your tight pussy.
Crying out his name, you jolted off the couch feeling the piercing stroke your walls. The feeling of it was enough to drive you insane, words unable to form because of it. Resting your ankles on his shoulders, you squeezed his head with your thighs and he made a pleased sound.
“Nothing I love more than my baby girl suffocating me with her thighs,” he grinned, leaning up to nip playfully at the plush skin of your thigh. “Well, there is one thing I love more and it’s her sweet pussy as she clenches around my tongue.”
Not saying another word, Tengen went right back to it making you squirm under his hold. Your moans and pleas made him grin as he worked you closer and closer to your orgasm. Reaching down to grip his hair, you pulled at the strands making him groan into your soaked cunt.
“That feel good baby?” he hummed, continuing his ministrations to your clit. “Feel so good you’re gonna cum on my face?”
“Yes–fuck yes!” you cried, tilting your head back.
With a cry of his name, you felt yourself come undone as you coated his tongue and mouth in your cum. Gripping his hair tighter for support, you rode out your orgasm on his face as Tengen slowly coaxed you down from you high as he tasted every bit of you he could.
Once you were relaxed back into the couch, Tengen pulled your legs off him and massaged your thighs carefully. Watching your face soften, he couldn’t help but smile at the sight. After all these years, he had finally made a move and all it took was him getting a damned piercing.
“You okay baby girl?” he mused, pressing soft kisses to the base of your throat.
“‘M tired,” you mumbled, relaxing into his touch.
“Too tired for another round?”
Opening your eyes, you looked at the expression on his face. It was a mix of hopeful and apprehensive. Raising a brow at him, Tengen’s lips quirked up.
“What’s that look for?”
“Don’t know, why do you look afraid of my answer?”
Moving so he was leaning right above your body, Tengen propped himself up with an elbow resting next to your head. “Well, it’s not everyday you give your best friend the best head she’s ever had.”
“Modest as always,”
Leaning down, Tengen chuckled against your shoulder. “I’m the most modest person you’ve ever met,”
Rolling your eyes, you turned him to look at you before placing a kiss to his lips. “I’ve met rocks more modest than you.”
“Must you bully me?”
“As your best friend, it is my legal duty to do so.”
Pulling you closer, Tengen looked at you. “I think our friendship is pretty ruined right about now,”
Laying in silence for a moment, Tengen was seconds away from panicking from your sudden silence. Were you unhappy? Did he cross boundaries? Was he too rough? Did you even want him like he wanted you?
“Want to go ruin it some more?”
Tengen’s brain came to a halt at your words, were you serious? Casting you a glance, he saw that you were one hundred percent serious. A Cheshire like grin formed on his face as he lifted you into his arms.
“Fuck yeah,” with that, he carried you off to your bedroom where you spent the rest of the afternoon destroying what was left of your friendship to build up something even better.

TENGEN UZUI X WIVES X PREGNANT!READER !!
Cake!
Notes: s/n means 'sons name'
"Don't you dare move a muscle (name)!" Tengen, your husband called. He has been keeping his eyes on you for the past 8 months, especially since you were expecting in a few days. You didn't cook like you always did with hinatsuru, your co-wife, and cooking for others seemed like it was her and your kinda thing.
Hinatsuru told you to lay down and not to stand to hurt your 'poor legs.'
"Hina, what are you making for dinner? Im kinda cravin- argh-" "(name), are you okay?" "(NAME)!" your co-wife called you in alarm, suma, asking if you were okay, even though it was painfully obvious that you were indeed not okay since your hand was gripping on tightly onto the couch and sweat dripping down your temple.
"I'll call tengen! TENGEN!!!" suma screamed, but then got hit on the head by your co-wife, makio, and told her to stop yelling and to just go get him. Tengen, his presence known as the 'Sound Hashira/Pillar' had heard your grunt of pain from a mile away and has been running down the stairs quickly.
"U-uhm guys? I-I think.." you stammered. It was happening. You were gonna give birth to you, tengen and your wives baby. Tengen put his arms under your legs and his other arm on your back. "Girls, I have to take her to the butterfly estate, quickly." He said, his voice wavering in slight worry for what your about to go through. He sent his flashy, fast, and serious crow to the butterfly estate, notifying his presence. He was deadly fast, almost flying to the estate.
"Tengen!" You groaned. "Yes yes I know my dear, we're almost there, just a minute and then we'll be there!" He said, his legs moving faster than he's ever did before. He stayed true to his word because you two did arrive less then a minute later, the doors slammed open, shinobu's lavender eyes searching for something, and that something is you and tengen. As soon as she saw you, she called the other nurses working there and they rushed into the room they prepared for you. The pain was bad, you were groaning non stop, and tengen hated seeing you in pain. He'd do anything to spare you some pain.
He bit his lip nervously, they took you out of his arms and laid you down onto the bed. You clutched tengens hand tightly, slightly prepared for what's about to happen.
"Just a few more pushes (name)!" Shinobu said, it was so overwhelming for you. You yelled, screamed out in pain. "Push (name)! You can do it!" "You can do it honey! Just keep going!" All the yelling stopped and for a second, it was quiet. But the silence ended with a baby crying loudly. You groaned out in relief.
"It's a... boy!" Shinobu announced, everyone cheered in the room while you mentally cheered, too exhausted to even speak, nevermind a cheer. "I'll go wash him now and give you some time alone." She said, smiling eith her eyes closed. You two nodded before all the nurses left the room, one asking if you needed anything just to call.
You were exhausted, but you opened your eyes again and looked at tengen, his face showed love. His eyes glimmered with tears, his mouth pointing upwards showing his gorgeous white teeth. His thumb gliding over your knuckles softly. His fuchsia eyes looking- no, admiring your face. He took his other hand and wiped away your tears.
"You did amazing, my love." He mumbled, which made you have a silly smile on your face. Shinobu came back with your baby washed, him sleeping soundly. You softly gasped at the small baby, although you never seen him until now, you've always loved him. And your sure you and tengen and your co wives do too.
Talking about them, someone knocked on the door three heads popping out of the door once tengen said that they could come in.
"(Name)!!!!" Suma cried, your sure she cried more tears then you did. Makio slapped her arm and she yelped and ran to tengen. Hinatsuru calmly walked over to you and sat on the edge of the bed, her violet eyes filling with tears once she saw him. The sight of you in a hospital gown (don't ask me how you got in it) and the newborn in your arms just made her tear up. Suma and Makio walked over to you and also took in the sight. Suma tried to hold in her cries while makio teared up. Suma laid down next to you cuddling to your side.
"Tengen." "Yes my dear? Do you need anything?" Tengen got up, ready to go out and ask the nurse to whatever you wished.
"Do you wanna hold him first?" That question shocked him, it made his legs weak. He nodded firmly before taking his trembling legs and over to you where you were lying. Your wives had moved out of the way, watching the most important moment of their lives happening before them. Tengen reached his arms out, and you placed your son into his arms. He brought him over more closer to him.
"Hey little guy.." He cooed. "So this is the little troublemaker that has been making my wife distressed huh?" He scolded in a whisper way. He looked up at his wives, they already knowing what they mean. Hinatsuru was first, he placed him into her arms, and he started waking up.
"Hes got your eyes, tengen." Hinatsuru mumbled and Tengen grinned. "Well of course, he's my boy after all." he bragged and you laughed. Tengen looked over at you. Suma was next, and she cooed and cooed over him. "Awhhh!! Just look how big and adorable his eyes look! Kyaa!!" She squealed. And last but not least, was makio. He started playing with her fingers. Suma was beside her and looking closely at his face. Big mistake. He then poked her eye with his small finger, making suma recoil. "I like him!" Makio grinned, and suma sulked.
Then tengen looked over at you. "Dear, you should rest, your exhausted." He mumbled and kissed the side of your head. You nodded before drifting off into a deep slumber.
TIMESKIP!
Your son, s/n, was 2 years old today, so you and your wives started decorating the house before tengen and your son came back. Hinatsuru was a few months pregnant, so she couldn't do much, but you and your wives were still very appreciative of her effort.
The plan was that tengen would take s/n out in the town and do some fun stuff with him for a few hours and then you and your co wives would decorate and make the cake.
"oi! Suma! Your doing that wrong dumby! You aren't supposed to put that in yet!" Makio scolded suma and hit her on the head, which made suma cry out in pain. "Ladies, please stop yelling, hina is sleeping." You said, you took the role of hinatsuru on trying to get them to stop messing.
Suma clutched onto your arm. "(Name) (name) (name)!!!! MAKIO'S BULLING ME!!" she squealed. You just patted her head and told them that the cake needed to be in the oven now. You and makio started decorating the cake while suma did some touches to the house decoration.
You heard some ringing, sort of like beads clashing together. But to your relief, it wasn't tengen, it was his crow. "Message from tengen uzui! Ahem.. I am on my way home with s/n! I know as soon as I enter our flashy home, it's gonna be even flashier! S/n is very excited!" The crow read aloud. As soon as you heard that he's coming home, your mind started a small panic and you rushed into making the writing for the cake.
The front door opened. And s/n looked about in darkness and hung onto tengens neck. Tengen entered the kitchen and turned on the lights, and him and s/n got a fright because you, suma, makio and hinatsuru were hiding behind the counter. Makio and you laughed at their reaction.
"Yayayayaya! This cake is delicious! I love cake, I love cake, I love cake.." suma sang and it seemed like s/n seemed to catch on because..
"Cake!" He squealed. Silence. You all stared at him in shock. "C..Cake?" You mumbled and teared up. You then rook s/n to your side and started smiling as teared rolled down goir cheeks. "He said his first word! He said it!" You weeped. You were happy but then a tad bit sad that he didn't say mama first.
S/n smiled and giggled. "Cake Cake cake cake cake!" He ranted and you all laughed. Tengen went close to your ear. "Wanna make another one?" He whispered silently and grinned, making you all red. "OI I HEARD THAT!" suma and makio screamed. "Hey hey hey! I was joking!" But was he really? He glanced over at you and winked, yep, he definitely was not joking.

The Sound Pillar's Younger Sister(Part 1) (Mini Series)
Tumblr media
The sound of metal hitting metal rang throughout the air as two figures stood face to face with intended, focused expressions on their faces. The two of them pushed their blades against each other.
"You're getting better" the taller one spoke In a deep, cocky tone. A cocky smirk appeared on the other's face, a shorter female who resembled the male she was fighting.
"But not good enough" the man continued. The girl suddenly lost her footing and in a split second she was falling. She hit the ground, letting out a surprised yelp as she did. After a moment she sat up, still sitting on the ground. A loud laugh escaped her lips as she looked up at the man who held a hand out for her to take. He helped her up, allowing her to get up to her feet. Still smiling, she wiped the dust off of her clothes, sheathing the blades in their cases.
"You know, the Final Selection is coming up soon. Are you sure you're ready?" The white haired male asked, looking down at the girl with a serious expression forming on his face.
"Of course, I've learned from the best after all." She said confidently. The man let out a quiet sigh and he kneeled down slightly to her height. He then placed a hang on her shoulder, a small frown tugging at his lips.
"You need to take this seriously, I don't want to lose you," he told her. A frown tugged at the girl's lips but she quickly replaced it with a confident smirk.
"You aren't gonna lose me, so don't worry" she once again reassured her older brother.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Finally, the day that (Y/N) would be leaving for the Final Selection. She stood in front of her brother, Tengen, who had a proud smile on his face. His three wives, Makio, Suma, and Hinatsuru all stood behind him, silent. Though all three of them had a hint of worry in their eyes as they looked at the girl.
"Good luck (Y/N), I know you're gonna kick ass" Makio smirked. Tears began to well up in Suma's eyes as she pulled (Y/N) into a tight hug.
"Please stay safe! We don't want you to die!!" Suma cried out, (Y/N) awkwardly patted the woman on the back in an attempt to comfort her.
"Hey! Don't crowd her, I'm sure she's nervous enough!" Makio yelled, pulling Suma off of her. The three women walked back inside the house, leaving the two siblings to talk amongst themselves.
"(Y/N)" Tengen spoke, a heavy silence filled the air as the two of them looked at each other.
"I know you're strong, but please be careful. Come back to me" he told her. He then pulled her into a hug, which she returned.
"I promise I'll come back."

Under the Goddess' Veil [TEASER]
A/n: This fic was a tad bit spur of the moment to take a break from rewriting some of Lady of Amberguard. Turns out I really like the idea and haven't been able to stop writing on it for 2 days. I will say this will be a bit of plot in the first 4 or 5 thousand words but from then on...dear Lord forgive me for the absolute FILTH I have planned.
Description: I'll give a silly one for right now, basically a maiden gets sacrificed to 5 dragons and a lot of fucking happens. The end.
Pairings: Obanai Iguro, Sanemi Shinazugawa, Giyuu Tomioka, Uzui Tengen, and Kyojuro Rengoku x reader
ENJOY!
☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
“I was supposed to be sacrificed to you for the honor of my village…” You trail off, trying to connect the dots. You glance in the direction of Sanemi, his usually stern eyes softening when they connect with yours. “Are you going to eat me?” Your words sound pitiful, like you had accepted that fact already – and you had. You’d be raised on the single constant that you would be fed to the Gods atop the neverending tips.
Uzui appears in front of you, a lazy smirk playing with his lips as he leans down to be eye level with you. “Not in the way you’re thinking.” He purrs, rolling his smirk into his mouth.
Kyojuro pushes forward, his long hair whipping in the wind Obanai was still creating. “Your humans assume when we request a maiden to be given to us that we would feast upon her supple flesh,” He sighs, looking at Obanai as he speaks. “Every century our loneliness becomes unbearable. There was the occasional soul that attempted to harm us, wanting to take the hoard for themself, but that didn’t last long. Other draconics would visit us, but some of them would fight for our territory.” Your eyes are drawn to Sanemi again and his plethora of scars. He avoids your gaze at all costs, he finds the outer wall of the cave particularly interesting.
Kyojuro continues with a solemn smile. “Then one day a beautiful woman found her way into the lower tunnels. She came begging us to help her village, people were sick – dying. She was ready to give anything to us for the sake of the people.”
Uzui, who is leaning against the wall, pipes up again. “So she gave us her body.” Your brows knit together. Her body? What exactly did that mean? Kyojuro shoots him a glare before setting himself in front of your gaze, staring into your eyes.
“The women before you were scared, frightened of the big bad monsters within the Ponorich peaks. Most of them tried to escape with no avail…they would get lost and starve or stay within our sight and do the same thing. There were others that would find our hoard and selfishly conspire to harm us to take it.” Kyojuro’s eyes are bright swirls. “We want a mate, a bride.” Bride…you had dreamed about a day adorned with joy once. It had been a quick thought, squashed by the reality that you understood from a very young age. Though, now perhaps you could live the life that had been taken away from you.
The wind dies down and you quickly look behind to find Obanai stepping onto the edge in a graceful manner. He nods his head at you, an ethereal glow still present in his eyes. It made your stomach dip in the strangest way. "You can have one of us,” He waves his arm to the group of men, their eyes trained on you. Obanai steps forward, picking up your hands softly. You peer at him through your lashes. “Or all of us." He finishes. A distinguishing feeling glides through your very being. Something that tells you if you were going to die for the village the least you could do was live for them.
"I-I'd like to have all of you..." You stammer, your confidence dropping with every second. When did you decide to become so brazen? Here you were, a maiden surrounded by five men that surely looked upon you with heat and desire.
"Are you sure you can handle that little doe? Becoming the wife of five hungry dragons isn't going to be easy. You will ache when you are without us and you will ache when you are with us." Giyuu coos, placing a hand on your back. It sends licks of warmth that jolt to where you had never been touched.
“You will become ours in every way possible.” Uzui is now to your other side, hand upon your waist. “We will take you whenever we want,” A piece of hair falls to the side of his ear, distracting you for a moment until he brings your gaze back to him with fingers under your chin. “And you can take us whenever you want.”
Kyojuro hangs his arms around your shoulders, placing himself square behind you. The thin material of your slip does nothing to hide the warmth radiating off the man. “When our heat occurs you will have to be careful. One of us may ravish you and then two more join in.” He nudges your head with affection and your stomach stirs.
“Are you willing to make sacrifices?” Sanemi asks, still standing a few feet away from the huddle the rest of them had now created around you.
“I was raised to do so.” You reply, a confident nod moving your head.

Please if you are writing y/n fanfics remember that y/n isn’t supposed to have any specified features. It’s getting really annoying reading “their face turned red” or how pale y/n is in literally every fic like, people with dark skin exist.

Wind and Stars (Sanemi x OC) - Part One
A/N: This will be a little series about Sanemi training a tsuguko. Please let me know how you liked this part.
Tumblr media
Sanemi did not know why Ubuyashiki had called him to his humble home. Surely not to just enjoy tea together as they were doing right now. Ubuyashiki drank his tea with closed eyes, relaxing and enjoying the flavor. He had only looked at Sanemi once. And that was when they greeted each other before sitting down at the chabudai, kneeling on soft pillows. The shoji stood open, letting a warm breeze flow inside the washitsu and spreading the smell of flowers. Where exactly the smell was coming from – from outside where the flower garden bloomed or from the fragrance inside – Sanemi could not tell. He did not really care. All was alright as it was. Peace and the soft breeze – that was all he needed right now. A small repose from his activities as a Hashira, although he would never admit that.
Relishing the calmness and the ease that Ubuyashiki exuded, Sanemi relaxed and drank his green tea. His scarred hands gripped the china diligently, and he found himself forgetting about the battle scars that adorned his face. He was so proud of them. They were a testimony of his strength. No demon, no matter how strong, could bring him to his knees. And he liked flashing his scars to all the demons he fought, sending a clear message: What do you think happened to the meek demons that marked me? Exactly the same fate that is going to be your undoing.
“Sanemi,” Ubuyashiki spoke softly, melting with the wind and releasing Sanemi from his reveries like he was a leaf trapped in a hurricane. “I am glad you could come today.”
Sanemi indicated a bow with his head. “Oyakata-sama, your calling is my path.”
Ubuyashiki smiled and took a sip from his cup. His daughter Hinaki suddenly appeared next to him, placing a plate with sticky rice cakes on the table. Sanemi hadn’t even heard Hinaki approaching. He had been so transfixed on his master. But even now, as the eight-year-old bowed and turned to leave without looking at either of them, her footsteps were quiet. Too quiet. She was so young but had already mastered the concept of dutiful hospitality by finding the right balance between being engaging and distanced. Her white head disappeared from sight as she drew the shoji that led to the hallway shut behind her.
Something about the Ubuyashiki women had always infused Sanemi with a sense of unease.
“I have a new mission for you, Sanemi.” Ubuyashiki suddenly spoke.
Startled, Sanemi directed his gaze to the wise man. “You want me to slay another demon? You could have just sent a crow,” Sanemi said, frowning. Noticing his mistake, he quickly added, “Although I feel deeply honored, Oyakata-sama, that you are having me.”
The Wind Hashira’s eyes widened as his master chuckled delightfully, throwing his head back just a little. That was the most reactive response Sanemi had ever witnessed from Ubuyashiki.
“No, no,” Ubuyashiki shook his head, resuming his usual stoic but friendly expression. “This time I don’t want you to slay demons. This time I want you to nurture a talent that will become formidable with your help. A great asset and addition to the Hashira.”
Dumbfounded, Sanemi stared at the black-haired man. His eyes narrowed before their widened in incredulous realization. “WHAAAT!!! You want to assign me a tsuguko? I thought choosing one was up to us.” He was so shocked that he accidentally tipped over his teacup, spilling its contents on the chabudai and the tatami mat.
“You cannot refuse, Sanemi. It’s your destiny to train the Star Pillar. We need you. Both of you together.”
Tumblr media
Grumbling and mumbling to himself, Sanemi arrived in front of the Butterfly Mansion. The place the future Star Pillar was currently staying to recuperate from the injuries she had suffered on a mission. Ubuyashiki had informed Sanemi that the young slayer had fought against a lower moon. Her injuries were not severe. Apparently, she had held her ground incredibly well.
“She is a natural in need of the right instruction to reach greatness.” Ubuyashiki had said. “And wind usually flows in the right direction.”
“That depends on the fucking weather!” Sanemi cursed loudly as he refused to step through the open front gate, recalling his master’s words.
At this time of day, many people moved from and to the Butterfly Mansion: slayers, medics, and the occasional Hashira. Lately, the demons had been quieter, allowing for a more light-hearted atmosphere for everyone. So, most Hashira were nearby. However, Sanemi knew better than to be mollified by the suspicious lack of demon attacks. If they were laying low, then they did that for a reason. They were most likely following a strategy. And that everyone let their guard down, especially the Hashira, was part of the plan.
“—gawa-sensei. Excuse us, but—”
“Huh?” Sanemi turned his head to the side, looking down at three little girls who shrieked upon seeing his scary expression and huddled closer to each other.
“Shinazugawa-sensei,” spoke the one in the middle bravely. Her name was Kiyo Terauchi if Sanemi remembered correctly. “We have been calling your name several times already. First in greeting, but then… we…uhm.”
“We were worried about you, Sir,” interjected Sumi Nakahara. “Your face looked so sullen, and you didn’t react…” Faltering under the Hashira’s gaze, Sumi looked to the side.
“What!?” Sanemi crossed his arms. “You three little rats have a lot of free time to worry about adults. Worry about yourselves first! What were you up to anyway, huh? I thought you are supposed to help Shinobu out inside the mansion.”
“Well, Shinobu-san sent us out to go grocery shopping,” explained Naho Takada, gesturing with her head to the heavy packages each of them was carrying.
Skeptical, Sanemi raised his eyebrow, tilting his head to one side. Then, he rubbed the back of his head wildly and groaned, moving towards the girls and taking the loads they were carrying in his own arms. “Really, doesn’t Shinobu know that it’s bad for your young backs to carry such heavy weights. Let me take care of this.”
Completely in awe, the three girls beamed at him. “Arigatō.” They smiled genuinely.
Feeling uneasy, Sanemi looked away, scratching his temple. “Yeah, whatever.”
Sanemi helped to unpack the groceries in the kitchen of the Butterfly Mansion. With the help of his muscle strength the shelves and cupboards were filled quickly. He didn’t even notice Shinobu entering the kitchen, looking mystified at the scene unfolding in front of her: The Wind Hashira helping Sumi, Naho, and Kiyo to prepare all the ingredients needed for cooking dinner. Placing pans and pots on the stove, getting knives and cutting boards, and placing them on the cooking island. It looked funny how the three little girls bustled around Sanemi, their small forms looking even tinier in contrast to Sanemi’s tall and muscly frame.
It was when Sanemi grabbed a potato and placed it on a cutting board, knife in the other hand, that he looked up, meeting Shinobu’s eyes. He froze immediately, blinking multiple times. The Insect Hashira smiled friendly at him, but he didn’t fail to notice the cunning darkness shading her eyes. Shinobu would so tease him with what she just witnessed for the rest of their lives. For once, Sanemi hoped that he was not going to get old. It came with his job anyway.
“I did not take you to be the domestic kind.” Shinobu chuckled, lifting her hand to her mouth. The chuckle was laced with a malicious note that was hard to detect for those who were unfamiliar with Shinobu’s ways. She might be the Insect Hashira, she might call her home the Butterfly Mansion, but she was a sly fox. A loving and amicable fox tinkering with poison.
Immediately, the three little girls exclaimed joyously how Shinazugawa-sensei had helped them, adding to Sanemi’s chagrin.
“I see, I see.” Shinobu smiled, patting Sumi’s head since she was the closest to her. Then, she turned serious. All humor dissipated. Sanemi waited, tensing up. “So, I take it you have talked to Oyakata-sama? About your soon-to-be tsuguko?”
Sanemi swallowed. Confused, the three little nurses and cooks looked from Sanemi to Shinobu. “So, you know.” That was all that Sanemi said. It was not a question.
“Yes, I do. Since she is staying at my place and is my patient, Oyakata-sama informed me about his plan. Although, he clarified that it was not a plan of his. Just foresight. He emphasized he knew what needed to be done but that you would not respond to his wise explanations so well as to his orders.”
“Wow.” Sanemi rolled his eyes. “Can you speak one sentence without insulting someone? You are not being as discreet as you think.”
“Oh, I don’t know what you mean.” Shinobu beamed too sweetly.
“What does he mean?” whispered Naho to her friends.
“I don’t know for sure,” said Kiyo. “But I think it’s similar to when Shinobu-san called Tomioka-sensei unpopular.”
Before the situation could escalate – a playful malice thickening the air between Sanemi and Shinobu – Aoi barged into the kitchen.
“Shinobu-san, hurry!” Aoi yelled, running in place. Something was stressing her out exceedingly. “Kitiara has trained against our better judgement. Her fractured ribs make it hard for her to breathe. Her lungs! We need to check them.”
Shinobu nodded, determined. “Sumi, Kiyo, Naho – dinner can wait. We have an emergency. Go!”
“Hai!” The three girls sprinted out of the room in a synchronized manner.
“Wait, who is Kitiara?” Sanemi asked as Shinobu made to leave.
Seriously, she looked over her shoulder. “Your tsuguko, Sanemi. The one you are supposed to make a Hashira.” Without another word, Shinobu left the kitchen.
Suddenly, Sanemi couldn’t find it in himself to care about this Kitiara at all. Star breathing or no star breathing. He didn’t need someone to hold him back. Quietly, he proceeded with dinner preparations, wondering why he wouldn’t just leave and take on a mission.
Right, Oyakata-sama’s will was his path. The way the wind sung and blew.

Say It {Rengoku Kyojuro x fem!reader}
SPOILERS AHEAD!!! If you haven't watched Mugen train and finished the manga do not read below the cut xoxo
Tumblr media
Based on Yorushika's 'say it', idk if y'all will enjoy this, but it honestly made me cry while writing it, I hope it does you guys too. :) It's much sadder if you kinda imagine the scenes like in a movie, its very touching, if i say so myself.
3.5k words bro, I'm so proud of myself!!!
Tumblr media
“You’re being reckless, (Y/n),” Giyuu admonished the girl, frowning a little at her behavior. “You’re acting impulsively, it’s going to get you killed.”
She shrugged and turned her back on him, walking away from the water pillar; She made no effort to loosen her cramped finger form the hilt of her chipped weapon. The metal of the katana had been stained by the demon’s disgusting blood, but she ignored it, like she’d been ignoring everything for the past five months.
Tomioka had reprimanded her many times for how she’d been acting, throwing herself at danger whenever it presented itself. He knew she was a skilled slayer, and her position was proof enough, but she still had to take time and assess the situation, not throw herself into battle and just hope for it to go well.
His blue eyes watched her march into the butterfly estate; she said nothing and simply allowed them to tend to her wounds, never letting go of her weapon.
(E/c) eyes stared up at the ceiling; She made no sounds of discomfort as the girls cleaned the cuts and gashes all over her body, pouring alcohol over them and bandaging them.
Suddenly a memory flashed in her mind; she could see her beloved’s face and feel the warmth of his skin against hers. The sun over her and the feeling of the breeze softly caressing her back. She could clearly see how his eyes set on her and the emotions they held. The warmth of his gaze enveloped her and lulled her to ease.
“When I return from this mission there is something I must tell you!”
A small smile formed on the girl’s face; her eyes softened at the blonde’s comment.
“Goodbye, Kyojuro-san,” He smiled and patted her head, a habit he had picked up ever since they met. Her lips parted once again to say something, but the words died in her throat, so she shut her mouth again and continued to smile. The man’s back turned and he left; She mentally praised how confident he was, how the security radiated off of him in waves, she could almost see the burning passion he so often spoke about and promised herself that she’d tell him as soon as he returned.
The words were forever left unspoken between them, and there was nothing she regretted more than that.
Her throat burned with unreleased sobs as she watched his image slowly fade into nothingness, the perpetual state she found herself in ever since that night. She had tried to forget the words he’d told her before his departure, they represented another weight in her heart, an incognita that would never be solved. She was left with the burden of every story, now forced to live and deal with every memory on her own, no one to share it with. Part of her knew what he wanted to say, but she needed to hear him say it.
Surely, on the last day of her life, remorse will be pulling at her and berating her for everything she didn’t say, every word that didn’t spill out of her mouth and into his ears. Now, the three words danced around her mind, scolding her for not letting them out and mocking her for being a coward.
Her limbs twitched and trembled, as if bearing a weight too big for her frail body. Faith had laughed in her face, it took all her hopes by the throat and mocked her, it mocked her for being stupid. For not accepting that this is the destiny of the demon slayers; a destiny written the moment they took the oath, they were to die for the good of humanity, for the greater good. Every dead slayer was a step closer to succeeding and even if it didn’t seem like it, they were making progress.
So why couldn’t she accept that fate, why was she trying to reject destiny, just who does she think she is?
The katana finally fell out of the grasp of her clenched finger, startling the girls working around her. Her weak hands rose to cover her face and she cried into them, not caring if anyone saw her. This had been the first time she cried since her crow hesitantly told her the unfortunate news of the flame hashira’s departure.
She’d finally come to terms with the fact that for months she refused to believe, convincing herself she was being forced to sleep through a horrible nightmare, that some cruel higher force was obligating her to sleep through the night and to live a life without him. And then the anger laced with guilt gripped at her heart, weaving rotten thoughts into her head.
She remembered the boys sent on the mission with him, and all the passengers of the train and even the children used by one of the demons.
Why had everyone but him returned? Why was she forced to see everyone nursed back to health while her Kyojuro was dead? Why?
The memories flowed into her unwilling mind, and she started to remember everything she had forcibly forgotten in hopes of curing her own heart and carrying on. Her heart and mind fought a useless battle, one to feed her delusion and empty dreams. Her heart yearned for a note to be left at her door, ‘let’s meet tomorrow morning’. The notes Kyojuro had a habit of slipping under her door whenever he didn’t want to disturb her but wished to communicate with her.
She knew he was dead, but still.
A sad laugh escaped her lips and her arms dropped to her sides, she continued to stare at the ceiling and hoped he wasn’t watching her from wherever he was, not wanting him to ever witness how truly pathetic she was, how she wasn’t as strong as he had thought she was; Surely, he would call her stubborn and beg her to move on, but how could she? She couldn’t be at peace knowing that she felt just as he did but never let him know.
Everything would’ve been so much easier if he’d just put it into words, say it loud enough for her to hear him, not expect her heart to just understand whatever he had tried to convey through actions. If she ever saw him again, even if in a dream, she’d scream at him and at everyone willing to listen, how Rengoku Kyojuro was the love of her life.
The days passed in a blur, until they became months, until she found herself standing in a mansion, growing desperate as the walls twisted and turned to a demon’s will. Again, her heart numbed and the grip on her katana tightened. She stared at the tattooed demon disintegrate out of his own will, and anger bubbled up in the pit of her stomach. A scream formed at the back of her throat, and she let it go freely, Tanjiro and Tomioka cringed at the guttural wails escaping the woman’s lips, before she fell to her knees. Tears mixed with the blood on her face, her free hand clawed at her face in a desperate attempt to wake herself up from this horrible nightmare.
Tanjiro looked at Giyuu’s knowing eyes in confusion, expecting an explanation, but the water pillar remained silent and stared at the girl. He didn’t have the heart to tell him about her and how she loved the flame pillar, about how she’d bow to kill the demon who took him from her. He understood her frustration, despite being beheaded, the creature decided not to die and instead chose to part on its own terms, a fate he did not deserve.
“(L/n)-san, please pull yourself together, this is not over!”
His words seemed to calm her, but the look in her eyes was chilling, and Tanjiro could smell the array of emotions she’d been feeling. Anger, sadness, loneliness and longing. Before they could go to her, the room shifted once again, and she was gone.
Her katana slashed through every demon she came across with a vengeance, her movements were impatient and out of control. The memories of the blonde raced through her mind and blinded her further, she searched for Muzan through the mansion, confident that she’d kill him, the cause of her misfortune. The death of her parents, her siblings, Shinobu, Rengoku.
The crow announcing the death of Tokito and Sanemi’s brother only fueled her anger further, as she rampaged through the building, killing anything that came into her path. “Muzan has revived, Pillars must gather at once!” She skidded to a halt and followed the crow, once again, she found herself in the presence of Giyuu and Tanjiro. Muzan’s figure also became clear, and he looked nothing as he did before, she had never seen him very clearly, but he looked nothing like what she remembered from that night.
Her mouth dried and the hairs on the back of her neck stood, but she wasn’t going to back down.
“(Y/n), Tanjiro,” Tomioka warned sternly, holding his arms out to stop them both. “Calm down.”
“Persistent.” Was the first thing he said, looking at the trio like scum. “You’re all seriously persisten and it bores me. It sickens me from the bottom of my heart. Whenever you open your mouth you only remember that one dumb notion that you can avenge your parents, kids, siblings. You’ve all survived, that should be enough for you.”
They all stared in disbelief at his monologue, how he undermined their feelings, their loss. He spoke about their loved ones as if they were a nuance and they should be glad they’d been exterminated. (Y/n)’s blood boiled at the sight of him, the initial fear had bubbled into pure wrath. The emotion sunk its fangs into her heart and darkened it, clouding her judgment and consciousness.
“So, your family got slaughtered, what’s the problem here? Think of yourself lucky for surviving and go back to the way you were living before.”
“What… what are you saying?” Tanjiro was the only one to speak, putting into words what they all wanted to ask.
“Think of it this way, being killed by me is like a calamity. You don’t need to think hard about it,” His tone changed, as if he was making fun of them. “Wind, rain, volcanoes, earthquakes. No one swears revenge on a natural disaster, no matter how many lives it takes.” He continued to ramble on his nonsense, uncaring of the boiling anger growing within the people standing before him. Tanjiro spoke, but the woman couldn’t hear him; Her ears were ringing so loudly she could only heart the sound of her own heartbeat, a coldness spread through her body replacing the initial heat that had consumed her.
A cloud of haze settled over her eyes, and she attacked indiscriminately. Her brain and muscles weren’t in sink, her body was acting out of survival instinct, rage and impulse. She delivered attack after attack, trying to do as much damage as she could to his body, but everything was failing. Kanroji, Giyuu and Obanai were also trying their hardest, nothing seemed to be working. No matter how many breaths he received nothing was causing lasting damage to him.
Even when the building shifted, and the pressure became too much, she continued to try to move towards Muzan. The image of her mother and father calling to her, her siblings cheering on her, Kanae and Shinobu asking her to be strong flashed before her eyes and she couldn’t allow herself to be defeated.
“The night is beautiful.”
‘Fight!’ The voice of her mother rang in her ears, causing her to frown.
“Huh?”
‘It’s not over, fight!’ Her father urged.
“(L/n)-san!”  Tanjiro’s voice snapped her out of her daydream, she stood in a hurry shoving rubble off of her. The wood had made numerous cuts and scrapes on her legs and arms, but she ignored everything and pushed forward.
She pushed, and pushed, and pushed herself. Every breath form she knew and the one Rengoku taught her. Her repeated them as many times as she needed to. She watched as the younger ones stood infront of them, receiving the attacks from Muzan, dying instantly. Their words and cries rung in her airs, Kanroji screaming at them to stop and Tanjiro’s gasping, so she pushed forward, not stopping when she was severely wounded. When Giyuu’s arm was cut, when Himejima lost his leg, when Obanai lost his eyes, when her hand and eye were gone, she pushed forward, holding her katana in one hand and wrapping part of her haori around her bleeding wrist. Despite Muzan growing angrier and his attacks more vicious and frantic, she pushed herself.
Her vision clouded and she fell to the ground, not strong enough to hold her body. She could hear Kanroji’s and Obanai’s whispers of love, promising each other to meet in a different life and love each other properly; She felt no jealousy, instead her aching heart was filled with peace and slowly, she drifted to sleep.
She felt her mother’s arms wrapped around her; the rest of her family followed. Tears flowed freely and she hugged them back, allowing herself to be pulled on to her knees.
“(Y/n)-san?”
Slowly, her eyes opened, and she gasped; Slowly she pulled herself away from her family and ran to him; Rengoku’s smile never faltered, his eyes held the same intensity as they ever did, and he was clad in his priced slayer uniform. With no doubt or restraint, her arms wrapped around his shoulders and pulled him close to her.
“I missed you, Kyojuro-san.”
The words tumbled out of her mouth with no hesitation; his embrace tightened around her, feeling the tears seep onto his clothes. She sobbed loudly into his chest, refusing to let go of him, desperately searching for the sound of his heartbeat.
“Would you like to have a date with me?” He smiled, his hands rested on her shoulder, and he separated her from himself, which she reluctantly allowed. “That is what I wanted to say that day, but I decided to use that trip to build enough courage to let you know.”
“I already knew, but I needed you to say it properly.”
His laugh echoed in the garden they stood in, and she laughed along with him. When his laughter died down, his lips set a kiss on the top of her head.
“You should go back now.”
“What? No! I’m happy here!”
“It’s not your time, (Y/n).”
“I’ll search for you, in every life, as long as it takes!”
His smile widened and she was pulled away, she desperately struggled to stay, reaching out to them. Her siblings waved at her goodbye, as did her parents. She fought on, trying to stay a little while longer, her family turned to walk away, but he was still there, staring at her. Despair built within her with every inch of distance growing between them.
“Say it! Kyojuro, say it properly!”
“I love you, (Y/n)-san!”
“I love you, too, Kyojuro!” She screamed; tears started to flow once again but she made no effort to wipe them away, continuing to fight. “More, more, say it!”
“I love you; I love- “
Her eye snapped open to the glowing sun, the sun she could feel but not see; The kakushi around her cheered, happy they hadn’t lost another member. A smile formed on her face, despite the pain she was feeling, and her vision being gone, she smiled.
“How are you?”
“I’m fine now, I heard you wear an eyepatch now,” (Y/n) joked, still holding the stick that had been given to her by Aoi. “Mind giving me one?”
“You’d look real flamboyant in it.” Tengen answered, ruffling her hair with his one hand. “I never got to give you my condolences, after Rengoku.”
“Thank you, Uzui-san.”
“Is this (Y/n)-san?” A foreign voice asked, she didn’t recognize that person, it seemed to be a boy but she' couldn’t see 'd never heard him before.
“Ye’, I’ll leave you two to it, M’gonna visit Kamado-kun. Bye, (Y/n)-chan.”
“Bye, Tengen.”
“Uh-uhm, my name is Rengoku Senjuro and this is my father, Rengoku Shinjuro,” The boy spoke again, she perked up at the mention of their names. Now she knew, they were Kyojuro’s family. “We heard you and my brother were a couple, so we wanted to thank you for taking care of my brother. when we couldn't.”
The man said nothing but patted her head once again. “You would’ve made a beautiful bride for my son.”
“I-“ She muttered, trying to find the words, Shinjuro smiled weakly as he noticed the bandages around her eyes start to dampen. “We never got to be a couple…”
“It’s okay, nee-san, father decided that you’re a Rengoku now!” The boy exclaimed, setting a ring in her trembling hands. “Tengen-san told us the whole story, if nii-san loved you so much, he would surely want you to have this.”
She smiled and nodded, hugging the metal to her chest.
“Can you take me to Kamado Tanjiro’s room?”
The boy took her hand in his and helped her out of bed, she followed both men to the boy’s room, she didn’t know how many people were there, but it seemed like the room was crowded. Kyojuro’s father seemed to be reluctant, so it took her and Senjuro to pull him into the room, with Tengen encouraging him to enter.
Senjuro’s grip on her hand loosened, she could hear Tanjiro and his sister giggling. She allowed Shinjuro and the boy to speak, before she asked any questions or said anything. She didn’t even notice he was fighting with the late hashira’s emblem, she internally scolded herself for being so enraged that she didn’t notice her surroundings.
“Eh, Kamado-kun,” She finally uttered, the room went silent, and she could feel everyone’s gaze on her. “Thank you for being by Kyojuro’s side when he- he…”
“(Y/n)-san, I’m sorry for not being able to do more,” The boy apologized, but before she could protest, he continued. “I never got the chance to give you his message; He asked me to tell you that there’s a gift for you in his room.”
“How fitting…” The woman smiled as she felt the details of the kanzashi, she could feel the little flames shaped ornaments hanging from a pin; They made a pleasant little sound when they moved. She pinned it to her hair and smiled, imagining how they looked. It must’ve looked strange with her purple kimono -Senjuro had told her the color- with the yellow and orange flames, but she didn’t care.
(L/n) (Y/N) wore that kanzashi until the day of her death, with her a short and strenuous breath she uttered his name and the words she meant to tell him all those years ago. With a smile she let out her last breath, knowing she’d meet him again, soon. Nothing she’d done had been in vain, and even if she hadn’t gotten the story she wished for, she was grateful for the one she got, even the sad and painful moments of it.
“You need to stop being so hard on yourself, Toujuro-kun.” (Y/n) Scolded the boy, who seemed to have too much energy despite only sleeping a few hours.
“I know, but I just get so focused that I don’t even notice the time,” The boy said, scratching the back of his head with a sheepish smile. “Dad keeps having to slap me.”
“That’s scary.” She shuddered, sitting beside the boy, handing him a bento-box. “But he’s probably just concerned.”
“I guess so.” He laughed, gladly taking the box, accidentally brushing his hand with hers.
They stared at each other for a moment before looking away, red as beets. A familiar feeling settled in their chests; it was foreign yet nostalgic. The girl stared at him with a look he couldn’t describe.
Toujuro and (Y/n) had known each other their entire lives, and she had taken it upon herself to feed his almost insatiable appetite, and he would help her with her history homework. They had been inseparable from the moment they laid eyes on each other, and no one had been able to pull them apart. They threw monumental tantrums the moment their parents even mentioned them attending different middle-schools.
“I feel like I met you before, Toujuro-kun.”
“We’ve known each other since we were babies…”
“No, like- like in another life.”
“(Y/n)-san-“ He cut himself off, blushing profusely. She waited for him, expectantly. She silently urged him to continue, even though deep down she knew what he was about to say.
“Say it out loud.” she ordered, crossing her arms over her chest.
“Eh?” Toujuro looked close to combustion, she’d never seen him that red in her life. “Wha-what?”
“Say it, properly.” She said once more, she could see him gulp and take a deep breath.
“I love you, (Y/n)-chan!” He exclaimed, startling a few of the people around them, but he didn’t seem to care at the moment, all of his attention was on her. “Would you like to go out with me?” She didn’t know if he meant for it to be so loud, and despite the embarrassment she was feeling, she nodded with a small smile.
“See you on Friday, at Obanai-san’s restaurant.”
His smile widened and he nodded. Finally, something inside her felt right, like she was complete at last.
