i know it's bleak out there for queer folks, but please keep this in mind: i can open Spotify right now with the intention of listening to trans artists and i wouldn't even know where to start. there are so many smart and beautiful trans and gay people sharing educational content, vlogs, and silly videos while openly and loudly queer. there are video games that allow custom pronouns, where you can romance anyone of any gender, where you can make characters that are asexual and aromantic and cant be changed. there are tv shows fully about gay people. cis/het allies are everywhere. PLEASE dont forget how far we've come. i love you, stay safe.

i'm sick of seeing queer people saying "i dont expect support, i just want respect!!"

expect support. expect more. we deserve support cause we're human fucking beings and our queerness isn't an opinion to be debated on. we didn't choose to be this way so what the hell is it supposed to mean when people don't support that? you don't support human beings? oh, but you respect us? great, you're a bigot hiding behind a guise of respect and you can get the fuck out

'support' doesn't mean to mean waving the flags and attending every protest and wearing all rainbows and it doesn't mean you're queer yourself. 'support' means that you accept us as human beings and treat us like it and allow us to live our lives with no exceptions. that isn't a lot to ask of anybody. everyone is capable of not being an ignorant asshole.

when these people say "i dont support but i respect", nine times out of ten thats just another way of saying "i completely absolutely 100% disagree with the queer agenda as a whole but im not going to say it out loud"

YOU ARE NOT A BAD PERSON FOR EXPECTING SUPPORT AND ALLYSHIP. YOU ARE A HUMAN BEING WHO DESERVES SUPPORT FOR THE THINGS YOU CANNOT CONTROL. YOU DONT NEED TO TELL PEOPLE ITS OKAY TO NOT SUPPORT AS LONG AS THEY RESPECT. LET THEM GET PISSY OVER IT. DONT JUST ACCEPT QUEERPHOBIA.

This is an image of me and a friend that I met at pride that a photographer took. It's us, hugging and kissing, in front of christian protestors. Both of us also had a our pride flags around ourselves. It was a feeling like no other. I felt like I was everything these garbage human beings hate, which is exactly what I want to be.
