eddie headcannons for living in present day

a few headcannons i thought of for being eddie's partner in the present day! these are my own thoughts, if you think of any others feel free to add them to the comments!

these are writted with eddie having a femme partner, but no pronouns are used so anyone can enjoy!

content warnings: lots of fluff, no smut, semi implied though(?), occasional use of y/n

would 100% play world of warcraft, complains about how expensive it is but still never lets his subscription run out every month 

would drag you into every warhammer store looking for figurines for d&d 

IS a reddit user but purely for d&d map inspiration and r/babygoats 

still has the exact same music taste and says “back in my day we listened to-"

also claims to hate nu metal but sneaks in an occasional deftones song

hairstyle would be really similar but probably more of a long wolf cut to modernise it

loves the cinema for new movies but pirates everything else 

corroded coffin is more successful than it was in the 80s, but they’re still not ‘famous’

makes youtube videos with tutorials on how to play songs on guitar and gets 10 views per video. he still enjoys it anyway 

still chooses to pick you wildflowers instead of grocery store ones because he thinks their more special (even if they’re from rich peoples lawns)

still deals but only to a select few and close friends 

goes to as many metal shows as he can; whether it’s for his favourite band or an up and comer he’s never heard of 

he has just 3 spotify playlists, 1 is metal and the other is more chilled out rock. the third is music he knows you likes that he’s sure to put on when you’re over (also curses out the spotify adverts but refuses to pay for it)

D&D is still one of his favourite hobbies of course. he grew up playing in the only D&D shop near hawkins called ‘the forge’ his charisma made him great friends amongst the other players there and soon enough after her had a few campaigns under his belt, it was his turn to DM 

is honestly a bit of a fussy eater, but anything you order or make that he hasn’t tried yet he always asks to try and realises he likes a lot more than he thought 

would have a lot more tattoos and would volunteer as a practice sheet for tattoo apprentice friends 

uses incense in his room, he says it’s to mask the weed smell but you’d noticed him deeply sniffing his favourite scents in the store

likes his cheap cologne, and loves it when he smells it on you the next morning 

facetiming you when he sees a cool rock/tree/dog/straycat/funny looking cloud, mainly to see your face scrunch up into a laugh at the ridiculous thing he’s called you for

uses the same password for everything 

has maybe 4 additional apps on his phone to the default ones. his favourite would be locket widget so you “have to see my face no matter where you look.”

does have social media but definitely posts annually and it’s either you, corroded coffin or some swanky new dice

only follows you and matthew mercer on social media too

likes natures documentaries and sniffles a lot when the buffalo gets eaten by lions, and when the lions DONT  get any buffalo to eat

loves getting you small inexpensive gifts, your favourite chocolate or drink, a little trinket for your bedside table, mostly cards with two animals in love on it 

laying inbetween his legs with your back against his chest as he teaches you how to roll his cigarettes, they were terrible of course but he loved watching your brows furrowed in concerntration smacking his hand away any time he tried to help

also! would use menthol filters for his cigarettes ever since you mentioned how much you love the minty tobacco taste left on his lips, “doubles up as a breath mint too!” eddie would wink at you. 

he wasn’t very good at cooking but he loved helping you and doesn’t want you to feel pressured to cook for him. takes any chance he can to make you food he knows how to make, usually toast and fruit juice in bed served with a kiss

LOVES makeup shopping with you, no matter your style of makeup alternative or not, he’s so intrigued about the different kinds and always wants to treat you. “$10 for a skinny crayon? that’s daylight robbery!”. he still begged you later that day to turn him into gene simmons 

still got weird stares out in public even in our time but he thrived whenever you visited bigger cities with more diversity

playing any kind of multiplayer game together. left 4 dead 2, borderlands, halo, divinity 2; eddie didn’t care what it was as long as he could spend the time with you (as long as you promised not to tell people he married harvey playing stardew valley)

also! screaming and swearing and crying of laughter playing overcooked, resulting in lots of playful fights and kisses 

watching the whole lord of the rings trilogy extended cut in one session, “ed’s it’s NINE hours, you said it was only 3 films!” you huffed looking at the box set his uncle had bought him years ago. “nine hours that will change the rest of your life y/n.” he smiled dramatically inserting the dvd. he was right of course 9 hours later there you were gripping eddies hand so hard as tears burned into the corners of your eyes. eddie spent the last 9 hours glancing between the action of the movie darting back to your face to enjoy your reaction, ‘my friends, you bow to no-one’ aaragon announced on the tv, you clenched your eyes shut as tears flooded down your cheeks and a quiet sob escaped your lips. eddie whipped his head to yours concern written all over his face, cupping your cheep with his large ringed hand. “everyone bowed for THEM, the HOBBITS eddie!” you choked as the soft violin music playinf already felt nostalgic. eddie pulled you close, nose bumping against yours and wipes away your tears with his thumb and pressing kisses to your reddened cheeks. “i told you doll, life changing” he sighed, knowing full well he could shed a tear at how involved with his favourite series you were. 

if you were ever doing anything stood up eddie would always come up behind you and snake his arms around your waist and give your butt a small squeeze with both of his hands, you’d squeak in surprise every time before leaning back into eddie as he held you. you walked out of yours and eddies room one morning to see him facing away from you at the kitchen counter wearing nothing butt black boxer shorts as he poured some juice. you sneaked as best you could on your creaky floorboards before reaching each hand out onto eddies butt and give it a big squeeze. he let out a high pitch ‘EEEHH’ as you did spilling some apple juice onto the counter before looking out you with a false scowl. “only i get to do that.” he huffed pretending he didn’t enjoy it whilst he pale cheeks simultaneously tinted a shade of pink. 

this! evolved into giving each other a light smack on the butt whenever you walked past each other, your hands lingered a little longer on him when he wore his jeans because wow, did he look good in them and vice versa when you wore… well pretty much anything -more often than not this leading to more heavy petting-

pda kinda guy, but more so handholding, having an arm over your shoulder, rubbing his hands up and down yours arms aimlessly, kissing you on the cheek and dramatically kissing your knuckles and bowing, making your cheeks flare up

eddie giving you driving lessons even though he’s not a great driver himself

if people don't hate this i might make a part 2 if i come up with more ideas + plus any that others suggest

sorry for taking so long to respond, but you've activated my trap card and i needed to be at my computer so i could write this essay of a response lol

im gonna do one for each character:

jonah: though he used be be more into psychedelics as a teenager, ever since the events of vol. 2 and cdta he's entirely stopped using them. there's just to much fuel for a potential bad trip. he's also stopped drinking (though he was never did it that often in the first place) and doesn't smoke weed as often bc sarah and evelin don't want him stinking up their apartment.

adam: his black hoodie (not the BPS one) has become a comfort item for him. because he didn't have it on while he was in the Nightmare Sand Pit and was at his most vulnerable, he associates not wearing it with being in danger. since he's wearing it basically all the time though, it's gotten really worse for wear and has quite a few holes in it, which jonah helpfully fixed with various patches (you'll see them when i drop the 2011 cdta designs lol)

thatcher: since he's now a certified Old Ass Man (in his early 50s), he's fully stopped trying to look profession or trendy and has gone back to his old grunge fashion sense from the 90s. luckily, most people think this is cool af, and in particular it entertains some of the kids that ride his bus route bc they think he's an old Kurt Cobain lol

evelin: i kind of alluded to this in clear the stone chapter 3, but she and jonah didn't get along at first because she's very straight edge and he's very not. since their re-introduction in clear the stone and the events of cdta, she's a bit more understanding of his drug use (though still not entirely comfortable with it). nowadays she considers jonah to be just as close a friend to her as sarah <3

sarah: mandela getting blown tf up has actually significantly helped her with regards to moving on from her brother's death. though she can't quite put her finger on why, she as a general sense that his soul is at peace now. as a result, she intends to rebrand BPS from a paranormal investigation group to more of a horror webseries thing. she even renames the youtube channel to the bythorne paranormal show!

alt!gabriel: as far as the cdta timeline goes, he created the alternates for the sole purpose of furthering his takeover plan. alternates in this story are straight-up demons as a result, and this might come into play in an interesting way in the sequel... 👀

six: so i've mentioned before that he's an entirely separate alien in the cdta timeline that started working with alt!gabriel as a means to an end since they have similar goals (also dropped in dms that this happened in the 1920s). the reason for this is that his species feeds on pain, and alternates are really good at causing a lot of mental and sometimes physical pain. though with the alternates gone and type 6s doing a shit job at killing humans, his kind are now looking into other avenues for a food supply :)

sam: if he were voiced, i imagine he'd sound like steven as he sounds in steven universe future. pretty nerdy but with a little bit of rasp to it and a hint of theater kid lol. also! he's 6'4 and is the tallest human in cdta!

delilah: before her reversion (official temporal phenomena term for the changes type 6s went through), her alternate instincts would mainly come out in her being an obnoxious know-it-all. the type to "well AKSHUALLY 🤓" everyone around her over the slightest inaccuracies. also never admitting when she was wrong and assuming the people calling her out were just too stupid to understand her genius. basically what i'm saying is she would've love rick and morty before the reversion lol

and as a special bonus:

joel: he actually started mystifying oracle to try and prove that the paranormal didn't exist, but when he realized how many views he was getting from believers, he pivoted to over-the-top shows of the effects of the ouija board. of course it also helps that he has an actual demon in his house lol.

chloe: she met joel in college! they're both studying film, and thus shared a lot of the same classes together. joel ended up dropping out once youtube started making money for him, but they'll still meet up from time to time, especially if there's a new horror movie they want to see!

Hey y'all, little announcement time :)

It's nothing so serious so don't worry, haha

But I WILL be taking a break from social media for two weeks starting today. Nothing bad had happened, I promise, I'm perfectly okay :)! It's just in the last month a LOT has happened, and I'm grateful for it all

I've met a ton of cool people who are fantastic to be around, and I've had lots of fun talking and drawing with them and just interacting with them in general

And I've even had some of my idols/favorite artists follow me back which is CRAZY TO THINK ABOUT, and I know they're regular people like I am and I shouldn't get so worked up over this kind of stuff, but it's still crazy for me to think about it

Fuck it still boggles my mind that people like my stuff- I'm so not used to all this attention and that's why I'm taking a break, just cause I'm finally able to take a break from all the stress happening in my life and I deserve a bit of a break I'd say lol

I am SO GRATEFUL for all the love and support, gosh I still get giddy when I see likes or notes on my posts, to think people actually interact with my art, reminds me of when I was first starting on Instagram (my art was so bad LMAO I've improved so much) and I'd get lounge 3 likes from my friends and a couple handful from random strangers and I'd get flustered over that, it's the exact same as it is now hah

But I've never been good at handling tons of praise, I try to say thanks as much as I can to show my appreciation but I can't help but feel like I'm coming short, like I'm not properly expressing my gratitude. But that's personal butt problems I'm gonna try and work out over this break, or at least start to unravel the large yarn ball of, but just know every note or interaction I have makes me happy and I greatly appreciate all of you guys :)!!

Batfam, favorite Duel Monsters archetypes/strategies, go.

gonna preface this by saying that while i do play duel monsters and have never lost a game, that’s because i’ve only played like. five games ever.

also i haven’t touched my deck in at least five years so. that being said.

i think most of the batfam would tend towards strategies that rely on trap or spell cards rather than drawing a specific powerhouse monster (looking at you kaiba)

dick has two different decks - one he uses to play for fun and one he uses when he wants to win. the first deck is mainly made up of cards with puns in the name bc he thinks it’s funny (and also because he loves the look of dawning horror on his opponent’s face as they start to realize that the puns won’t stop). unfortunately that leaves that deck not super well-balanced but he enjoys the mental exercise of trying to win anyway. his deck for winning is made up of mostly water/wind type monsters and one time it made wally cry.

jason’s deck is the most well put together (by which i mean every card he draws enhances whatever cards he has in his hand) and it’s pretty well balanced although he does tend to go a little heavy on the trap cards and field cards. it works for him though. a lot of his monster cards are fiend or psychic type.

tim learned how to play via the yugioh tv show so while his deck is pretty well put together and has a bunch of intricate almost instant win combinations, he mostly relies on luck of the draw (and the heart of the cards ofc) to actually get those combos. tim is not a lucky person, and although those combos are devastating to his opponent when he does pull the right cards, they’re much less effective when he keeps pulling one card from each of his combos instead of a complete combo. his main monster type is dragons bc he made his deck when he was like twelve and he thought they were cool (secretly he likes the pun).

cass has a super op light/fighting type deck. i forget which card it is but there’s one that’s like “every light monster on your side of the field gets 500x(# of light monsters on field) points added to their attack score” and once she plays that it is over. she mostly relies on monster effects over spell cards though so even if she doesn’t draw that card she usually wins.

damian loves using field cards to give himself an advantage or to give his opponents a disadvantage but he also shoots himself in the foot a little because whenever he comes across a card he thinks looks cute he adds it to his deck. he tries to incorporate the cute monsters into his strategy but it doesn’t always work. yes he has at least one kuriboh in his deck. kind of reminds him of goliath. he owns like fifty monster reborn cards.

duke’s only just been inducted into the secret batfam duel monsters competition and he’s having to overhaul his deck from when he was like ten. it’s mostly warrior and winged beast type monsters and he’s a little low on spell and trap cards. jason’s offered to let him have some of the cards he isn’t using (he has a stash of old DM cards bc he refuses to throw them away) but duke hasn’t had a chance to look through them yet.

steph refused to play the first time tim asked if she wanted to join and now there’s a bet going on to see who can get her to cave first. she knows about it and refuses to give them the satisfaction. she does know all the rules though and often gets pulled into being the referee (mostly to stop the peanut gallery demo interfering tbh)

John/June: yeah, but mostly joke campaigns. Not too good at keeping things serious with the world, and will add some silly homebrews. really fun as a DM, and often follows the rule of cool more than any actual rules.

Rose: Yes, but will get a bit frustrated if people derail the campaign. Won't show it, but will regularly jokingly threaten to do a godstrike yahtzee (IDK if this was just something from my dad's groups that he taught me, but when the dm is too mad so they roll all the dice in the room and that's how much dammage your character takes. if you survive then you can never be godstrike yahtzee'd again, and the dm has to let you do the thing you wanted to do.) has never actually given a godstrike yahtzee, but does give out a few cursed items which she hasn't let on that they're cursed yet. Overall good, remembers the details too and will build in people's backstories to the campaign. Might end up the forever DM.

Dave: well yes but actually no. What he is doing can no longer be classified as dnd. There is only the rule of cool. he accidentally did a tpk but then brought them all back to life and said they 'heard god say 'My bad dudes, but you gotta admit that was pretty funny" If he's DMing it's gonna be a good time, but it's more like calvinball than dnd. Jade: Yeah. She could keep everyone on track, follow the rules AND the rule of cool, I think she could make a really cool world. Not much else to say, I just think she'd be great at keeping immersion and would definitely have a whole setup for the players ready. I think she'd do great.

Jane: Yeah, but mainly sticks to RAW. Gets mad about derailment, so everyone needs to agree to stick to the plot beforehand, but that's easy enough. Overall decent, plus she brings snacks!! Mainly does serious rp heavy campaigns with a bit of fluff.

Roxy: YES. Roxy would rule as a DM. End of statement. This is just vibes honestly but I wanna be in Roxy's campaign.

Dirk: FOREVER DM FOREVER DM FOREVER DM. Good at rp campaigns and combat campaigns, gets a bit too into worldbuilding and lore but that's amazing. Great with immersion, NPCs always feel like real people, in depth reasons for everything, does countless hours of research for anything but accepts when things get derailed. Sometimes calls a session early because he didn't have a plan for what the party did and needs some time to come up with something, but by next session you wouldn't even know that it was derailed. Wishes someone else would DM so he could play as a PC, but isn't actually sure how to go about playing cuz he's only done NPCs for so long.

Jake: Yes, but I think he would mercilessly mix the rules from various editions as well as homebrew until nobody knows what the heck they're playing anymore. Just a feeling. Overall does a good mix of rp and combat, and believes in the rule of cool. Pretty good once you figure out what rules he's using. IDK why I think he'd mix all the rules, I just think he would. as always, mostly vibes but pretty fun!!

Tumblr is such an interesting website because if you ask me as someone who frequents a lot of old websites, forums, and the like; it’s actually extremely similar to those sorts of “closed groups” in that it’s entirely user curated to the point 90% of the people who I interact with or who interact with me are part of at least 1 if not more common interests; for me it’s mainly ProjMoon related media. But it also almost entirely, though sadly not completely; lacks the toxicity we so often see on those sites, or even other social media sites; this is going to go a little all over the place but if you’re curious you know the drill by now here’s a little “keep reading” thing and my thoughts on everything will be below it:

We see this in a lot of forums on the internet that take up almost cult like “us vs them” motifs where even the admins involved will intentionally scare away or bully newcomers who get too comfortable and start actually, you know; using the website. However what’s really cool about tumblr is that because it’s such a diverse web of these sorta closed groups, we don’t see that here.

We totally do in some fandom spaces don’t get me wrong, but I genuinely feel comfortable just posting whatever random stuff comes to mind. I don’t believe any of my mutuals or even followers would randomly decide to say I’m no longer welcome or allowed to post in ProjMoon tags simply because “you also posted about some other random thing one time” it’s cool because in a sense this site functions as a way for us to get to know one another on a deeper level if desired, but while it gives me the power to DM someone, or send them an inbox message it also gives them the power to simply not answer it, to block me, or to go about their business as if I don’t exist and the thing is; doing so won’t effect how the site functions for them.

As a content creator albeit a casual one, using twitter was so strange because if I didn’t have enough followers for someone, they might not give me the time of day. Which yea it sounds scummy, because it is. However that doesn’t mean it wasn’t so commonplace that it was normalized and greatly accepted by other content creators who would often justify it with saying things like “we need to focus on growing our brand and if you’re not going to help us grow our brand then we just don’t have time for you because this is work this isn’t socializing.” Which man, this is why I literally go on record saying “I don’t like vtubers” I don’t mean Hololive or Nijisanji or any professional studio, I literally mean up and coming vtubers on twitter who have around 1,000 followers and think they’re such hot shit that they don’t have the time for someone with say 200 or so followers simply because “mah brand” 

tumblrs system functions in such a way however, where my follower count, and your follower count are things that are entirely nonimportant. Like, how many followers do I have? Take a guess? Here’s your answer: does it matter? At the end of the day no matter how many followers I have it doesn’t really change anything about me. It doesn’t gauge my ability to make a “banger post” or to fit in with a community, it doesn’t give you any understanding of how well I can joke around or put on a show. All it does is give you an arbitrary number to judge my worth by. 

What always amused me so much about my time actively trying to grow an audience via twitter was that so often I’d see these streamers with 1000+ followers only getting about 2 - 5 active viewers, and the best part about that is that genuinely a majority of the time that was them asking myself or the others they were in a collab with to also view their stream to help boost ratings, the people watching weren’t from their thousands of followers, it was literally maybe their 1 regular and the other people streaming with them or half the time literally themselves on a phone or in a different window. However they still looked at their flashy 1,000+ follower count and said “I’m better than you.” 

This is how we’re raised on the internet, we’re raised and conditioned to believe if my number is bigger than your number I am socially better and that I should be held in a higher regard than you, that you should desire to be my friend because I have an inherent worth that you do not. 

I mean okay hear me out real quick, when I tell you “I’m a vtuber/streamer/content creator” if that excites you at all, does it excite you because “my friend is a content creator and I would love to see what kind of silly content they make having got to know them and enjoying my interaction with them!” Or perhaps does it excite you because “maybe I could get popular by being their friend! They must have a huge following who would give anything to talk to them like I do!” While posing it like this absolutely does make it seem like a very “selfless vs selfish” reasoning, I promise it’s not that cut and dry; but at the end of the day I always find it interesting how people often find my more interesting when they hear I’m a streamer and content creator, but lose all that interest the moment they hear that I average between 5 - 15 active viewers. They don’t care that those regulars are really cool people who I’ve genuinely enjoyed getting to know and who I am always happy to see in my chat, and who I don’t address as “chat” but rather have gotten to know well enough that I can address them by their name or at the very least their username because I feel it’s a level of respect that should be shared when my audience is still small enough for me to do so. I understand if you have literally tens of thousands of messages scrolling by, you would have to distance yourself a degree from every viewer of course; but when I see someone with 3 viewers refer to their audience as “chat” it bothers me because it feels so subhuman to simply disregard the idea that there’s another living breathing person on the other side of the screen who is giving you their time and attention.

What does this have to do with tumblr? Well simply put tumblr is no different, I know it sounds silly or maybe even stupid for me to say this but I don’t enjoy looking over all my notes because “oh man I’m so popular and I get so much validation from seeing everyone interacting with me” but rather I really enjoy reading through everyone’s tags on posts they reblog from me because it’s a way for me to get to know them a little better, and it leads to me actually checking out their blogs and enjoying their original content, and this allows me in turn to piece together a little more about who they are as a person, and it makes me feel interested in reaching out and saying hi even if it takes a while for a conversation to really get started or even if they don’t respond right away or at all. I find that this site gives me a way to interact with others while being able to do my own thing and they get to in turn choose exactly how much of their time and attention they wish to give me, but they can always learn more about how I think and how I feel about things by looking through what I reblog or checking out my personal posts so they also have an idea of who they are talking to.

tumblr is a website that doesn’t ask me to fully identify myself, it doesn’t ask me to give you my first and last name, birth place, mothers maiden name, and my social security number; it asks instead for all the information you might need to start a budding friendship with someone, what am I into? What sort of things do I enjoy doing, engaging with, eating, listening to. This means you can latch onto any one aspect of those things and go “oh hey me too!” It helps break down intimidating walls and barriers.

I enjoy vtubing as a streamer because I don’t have to put MYSELF out there, I don’t have to be on camera, if I’m not having a great day and my hair is messy it doesn’t matter, if I don’t want to wear a shirt that’s okay too. However I still get to put everything that makes me who I am out there. I still share my opinions, I still play my favorite games, I still discuss my favorite music or joke around with my community.  It’s why I was offended on behalf of their viewers when a vtuber I was collabing with started outright ignoring the individuality of their audience distancing themselves harshly from the maybe 3 or 4 people who bothered to come out and support them.

I am not about to tell someone what boundaries they can or can’t set for themselves, but it does feel a bit rude to not give people the time of day, when they have given you theirs. It’s why I tell my community outright “the chat box is your domain, the live stream is mine; and all my streams are a collaborative effort between you and I to have a good time.” I once admitted on stream that the entire reason I enjoy streaming has nothing to do with the potential of fame or fortune but rather because it’s simply fun to feel like I’m sitting on a couch with good friends playing a game I enjoy and having everyone sitting on the couch with me going “wait who’s this Netzach guy? I thought we were talking to the Purple dude? I LEFT FOR 2 MINUTES AND NOW HE’S DEPRESSED” 

At the end of the day I’ve grown up as “the little guy” the person who didn’t have friends, the person who wasn’t good at music, art, or media; I’m not even great at playing video games or telling jokes. But what I am good at is treating people with genuine respect and kindness because I know all too well what it feels like to be judged by a number, whether it be your age, your follower count, or how much content you make. 

A friend of mine always tells me they feel a little sad when their art doesn’t get as many notes as they hoped it would; and we once had a discussion about how we have been conditioned by living on the internet to desire outside validation rather than being able to genuinely be happy with something. We have to not only be happy with the creation ourselves, but also see that others also deem it important and good, otherwise the imposter syndrome kicks in pretty hard.

I still remember when I once befriended a few people in an old mmorpg only to have their guild officer ask me why I was always hanging around with their guild, I explained that I was friends with some of the members and I felt like I fit in; he then told me I was an arrogant asshole and it’s something that stuck with me because I literally didn’t know the guy. Yet to this day I always favor putting myself down rather than building myself up, and tell people that “I used to be an arrogant asshole” which is funny considering I used to be, and still am; actually a very depressed idiot who just wants to make friends with people and has an extremely low self esteem. However whenever I try to feel confident or catch myself feeling good about myself I’m reminded that I’m just “an arrogant asshole” and that’s specifically why I’m careful about the company that I keep these days. 

That’s how the internet is, everything becomes a matter of “survival” where you feel a need to put yourself first even if it hurts others, and you might not even realize you’re doing it. It’s a sort of culture where we are so hardcore focused on “us vs them” that we have no idea that “they” are part of us, just a part we vaguely don’t agree with and therefore we divide ourselves off from. I have found that I walk a very fine line between “protect yourself and your mental health, block people who you don’t wish to interact with or who have wronged you, and never be afraid to set boundaries” and also “be kind to others and give everyone a chance because you never know if inviting a friendship today could be something you come to cherish in 10 years when you’re now very good friends with people all over the world all because you allowed yourself a moment of indifference and understanding.” 

On one hand I believe everyone deserves respect and to be heard and to be given the time of day, but much like how a streamer might distance themselves from their audience for the sake of setting boundaries; I cannot fault someone for being even overly cautious on the internet because I have surely been burnt far too many times for opening my arms to the wrong people and inviting friendship when I didn’t realize it would end in ruin.

Ok, so I’m a girl, she/her and straight and I’d like to request a 🌼 with a guy from the marauders.

I’m an introvert, hard shell to break, I isolate myself a lot, mainly in new friendships, which gives me the smart-quiet-goody-2-shoes stereotype. Socialisation haunts me and I’m shit awkward at interactions. When the shell is broken, I get very talkative. My mind is chaotic 24/7 so I shuffle between topics very fast and I stutter a little and get tangled in my own sentences, mainly when I’m excited. Im blunt and VERY sarcastic and ironic and like to dramatize stuff to make fun of it. Im very kind and put others above me sometimes, which beats my very high empathy and sensibility to pieces but oh well. I can also get very fired up in arguments cause I’m very passionate about my beliefs and values but I won’t cross the line and offend anyone as no matter how stubborn I am (extremely btw) I always try to make amends after cooling down and mediate when I’m not involved. I’m a romantic and a daydreamer. I’m smart and I like to learn stuff and to know how things work and understand them but am an extreme overthinker. I think far too much about every little thing and get insecure. Parties make me really anxious and loud people annoy me so I’d rather stay in. Sometimes I think I’m a little too mature. Like, can we talk about politics and the economic state of the world?? (Pls forgive me, i had to). Im curious but scattered so I’ll easily start a night-in (sponsored by YouTube!) by watching a video on “the most memorable Eurovision entries of all time” and end it with “inside the mind of a psychopath: a deep psychological analysis”. ✨It’s a little bit of everything all of the time✨ which reminds me of how much I love Bo Burnham. In a lot of my free time i listen to his songs or whatch his shows. I love how he’s genially funny but also #deep (I’m sorry) and brutally honest and makes you think. It’s also a good clutch for my anxiety. I consume books at a crazy speed but always love going back to some classics. I love sitcoms and rock music. Sometimes I like to spend time doing online timed questionaries about general knowledge cause I like challenging myself (and I also don’t have a life). Oh, this is very important: my pet peeve is loud chewing and gulping. Please do not eat and drink loudly yall, I beg of you. << On the topic of Danger Mouse, I get confused by the show’s handling of Penfold’s crossdressing? Finally, the actual writing for the female characters is sometimes not the best, but not always. >>

《 I'm not sure about the cross-dressing (kid's shows have an odd relationship with cross-dressing in general), but the shipping isn't much of a surprise. A DM/Penfold/Squawkencluck poly relationship is technically possible but you know the show won't go through with that. My theory is that they want to give fan service nods to the popular gay ship but don't want to anger heteronormative parents, so they use the one major woman character as ship bait. As much as I ship Fessie with DM on this blog (fun fact: I originally picked her up as a muse because a mutual needed a Professor to ship with), it still bothers me how Fessie seems to exist to help/be shipped with DM for the most part. Not like she doesn't get characterization and whatnot, but she tends to be put in the sidelines a lot of the time. And is it just me or does the show portray her as a wet blanket/nag when she's pretty justified in not wanting DM messing with her inventions without her consent? Or does the show want to portray DM as foolish, irresponsible, and inconsiderate? Not the best look for the main character, is it? 》

Part Two

Satsuriku no Tenshi recently celebrated its 6th Anniversary with a virtual ticketed event that included a Q&A with Makoto Sanada (creator) and Kudan Nazuka (mangaka), and a live script-reading with Haruka Chisuga (Rachel), Nobuhiko Okamoto (Zack), and Mariya Ise (Cathy). 

I managed to purchase a ticket to the event (I had to jump through so many hoops ಥ‿ಥ), and recorded it, but it’s illegal for me to show my recordings. I can try to answer any questions through DMs!

Throughout the event, the camera focused mainly on the interviewer and Sanada’s hands. They were both holding Zack/Ray dolls that they would shake around as they asked/answered questions. The interviewer held Zack’s and Sanada held Rachel’s. (The dolls looked exactly like this, but were probably on a stick-like contraption because they were being held up):

Beside them, Kudan was drawing autographed shikishi artboards of Rachel, Zack, and Cathy. The artboards also included chibis of Rachel/Zack/Cathy that negiyan had doodled and autographed prior to the event. Afterwards, Sanada doodled on them as well. These are the artboards:

Below is the translated Q&A. This is a summarized version because a lot of the dialogue consists of unrelated small talk and Kudan and Sanada complimenting each other, lol.

Interviewer: This message is from the username Rina: “Congratulations on Satsuriku no Tenshi’s 6th anniversary. Zack and Ray’s illustrations this time around were drawn very nicely. I loved them. How did you come up and decide on these illustrations? P.S. I also want to get a “kamadon” from Zack.”

TL Note 1: The image being referred to is the promotional art for the 6th Anniversary, which is based on the “don’t let me kill you just yet” scene:

TL Note 2: A kamadon makes reference to a kabedon (a pose that usually involves trapping a person and slapping your hand on the wall beside them). Instead of Zack using his arm, Rina is hoping for him to use his scythe (“kama”) to do the trapping.

Sanada: This question is for Nazuka-san, isn’t it? I also loved the illustrations this time around so I also want to know why she picked that one.

Nazuka: Thank you very much. In this case I got an order for the key visual from the person in charge of producing the original work. I was commissioned to do the “kamadon” illustration, a full body illustration, and another one that gave off a more theatrical feeling. I often struggle whenever I get those kinds of requests, but it was very easy to picture this time around, so I was able to draw everything very smoothly and according to the proposal.

Nazuka: I had to be very conscious of the light and shadows under the spotlight to make it look more “theatrical.” And I also heard they were planning on using the illustration on some goods, like t-shirts and books so I also wanted to make them look cool. 

Sanada: It’s very cool. And I can walk around with this shirt normally.

Nazuka: I’m very happy. It looks very fashionable so I’m glad I drew it.

Interviewer: All right let’s read the next one. It’s from the username: Towasada: “Makoto-sensei, Kudan-sensei, thank you for all your hard work. My question is: Which of the characters in “Satsuriku no Tenshi” do you think you guys resemble the most? I would also be glad if you told me the reason why you think so.”

Sanada: I see... A specific character doesn’t come to mind, but actually, in Episode.0, when they are in Cathy’s past, there is this girl named Lucy and I think I relate to her the most. 

Sanada: I think it’s because she gets drawn in by powerful personalities. I think she likes strong and confident people and that’s also how I am. If we were in the same school as Cathy, I would also like to stick with her. That’s what I think.

Interviewer: Nazuka-san, how about you ?

Nazuka: Yes, Sanada-sensei chose Lucy, but for me―and I’m just saying this on my own―I would say I’m more like Cathy.

Sanada: Oh my!

Nazuka: Yes, she does fun things in fun ways; she’s very earnest and straightforward, and she has lots of fun, even though her type of fun veers towards cruelty...

Nazuka: I think drawing is similar to that. And just like Sanada-san, I would have played together with Lucy.

Sanada: Of course, of course. It really fits you. In my mind Nazuka-san is very energetic and has this cool aura to her. I totally get why she chose Cathy. Nazuka-san is very earned and powerful. Like a divine artist. She’s very cool.

Nazuka: No, not at all! Sanada-sensei too... She’s got Lucy’s cute side. I also love Lucy, you know.

Sanada: Thank you. 

Nazuka: She’s a very memorable character.

Sanada: That’s right, she comes up in a lot of stories and I think Nazuka-san has done most of her drawings.

Nazuka: That’s right, she comes up in the main story's flashbacks. And in Episode.0. She’s a character that comes up often.

Interviewer: Now let’s move onto the third question from the username Hisato: “How did you come up with this story?”

Sanada: Ah, right... How did I come up with it...? Right around the time when the production of Kirisame ga Furu Mori came to a halt, I had around a year of free time. At that time I was thinking of doing something else, so I ended up doing the base concept Satsuriku no Tenshi on the side.

Sanada: Kirisame ga Furu Mori was a more quiet and spiritual horror game, so I wanted to make the exact opposite type of game and that’s how I ended up with the story of Satsuriku no Tenshi. At the time I only had a rough idea of how it would end, but even back then I knew, or rather, I had the feeling that this kind of story would be trouble and that it might get pushed off. So I had the story hidden away until Game Magazine contacted me.

Interviewer: So you, the author, sealed the story away and said: “You don’t have to come out yet.”

Sanada: I might have been uneasy because back then I might have thought that I wouldn’t be able to do it well.

Interviewer: And what resulted from unsealing the story is 6 years of getting dragged around.

Sanada: I don't know if I would put it like that, but all the staff, including Nazuka-san, have stuck around and we’ve had 6 years of fun and hard work. Nazuka: Yes!

Interviewer: You enjoyed your time with all the creators and with characters like Rachel. 

Nazuka: Yes.

Interviewer:  Now let’s move onto the next question. It’s from the username Naho: “I’m so glad to be in my first Satsuriku no Tenshi event. Thank you so much for all your wonderful work. Here is my question: I would like to know how the characters of Zack and Rachel came to be. Please tell me all about it.”

Interviewer: This question is similar to the previous one. Sanada: Right. As I previously said, I came up with the base concept when Kirigame ga Furu Mori wasn’t yet finished. But in the truest sense, Rachel and Zack first came to life in the serialization.

Sanada: Zack’s personality ended up being quite different from what I had imagined it would be at the beginning stages. At times you can see a more funny side to him.

Interviewer: At times...?

Sanada: For example, in the first episode, he calls Rachel ‘ojouchan.’ He tries to play it cool. Kind of like a nihilistic and mature adult.

TL Note: This occurs after Zack slices Danny near the end of episode 1 in the anime. Ojouchan is translated as “little girl” in this scene, but the way Zack uses it hints at him trying to be casual and friendly with Rachel even though he’s obviously threatening her. In the manga, this line is translated as “little miss.”

Sanada: In the beginning, Zack was more of an adult. So the Zack at the start of the first episode ended up being quite different. 

Interviewer: With a feeling of authority, right?

Sanada: That’s right.

Interviewer: But by the second half he would just go: “I’m stupid!”.

Sanada: Right! That’s why I think Zack was smartest in episode one, haha Interviewer: So as he moved up the floors...

Sanada: He kinda... what should I call it... I think his spirit started getting better. But ultimately I think that Rachel, Zack, and the other characters truly came alive in the serialization. Thank you for the question!

Interviewer: Now let’s move onto the next question. From Konomechan: “Regarding each character’s birthday, do they have any special meaning at all? Please tell me all about it.”

Sanada: At first, at the beginning, the characters didn’t have birthdays. And well, we had to add everyone’s profile in the fanbook, which led us to think about the birthdays. I felt that picking a birthday was a huge responsibility, so I was very nervous when I picked them.

Sanada: Nonetheless, I just picked the dates by imagining the season they would have been born in. I could picture some of them being born in spring or summer and so on... Aside from that, I also came up with some of the characters’ birthdays by researching birthstones, zodiac signs and even birthday flowers.

Sanada: For example, with Rachel, her birthstone is the moonstone. And I think that for June there is also some alexandrite in the mix.

TL Note: Sanada notes in the manga that one of her favorite lines in the series is from Danny when he tells Rachel, “My eye is alexandrite.” While June (Rachel’s birth month) is related to moonstones and alexandrite, Danny’s birth month (September) is related to sapphire, a blue shade similar to Rachel’s eyes. This is meant to create a connection between the two. 

Sanada: I just thought it was interesting and it fit with what I had imagined. And I did the same with the other characters. It might be fun if you guys want to do some research on this.

Interviewer: Please check it out if you’re interested. This work gets tastier the longer you chew! Everything is very well thought out and you can really feel Sanada-sensei’s love for the characters.

Interviewer: Now let’s move onto the 6th question. It’s from Touka: “What kind of woman will Rachel become when she comes of age? For example, what will her height be or her hairstyle, or how will she dress? I’d like to know if any of those things have crossed your mind.”

Sanada: Rachel’s adulthood?

Interviewer: Right, the adult version.

Sanada: She's talking about a grown-up Rachel, an adult Rachel?

Interviewer: That's right.

Sanada: I think the adult Rachel would actually just get pretty tall. As for her clothes, I don’t think she would wear anything that distinctive. When I created her I imagined her wearing clothes for people in their teens, just like what this doll is wearing (TL Note: she’s referring to the Rachel doll she’s been holding throughout the interview). So maybe Rachel would wear a plain sleek one-piece dress, or she might even wear a white t-shirt with jeans.

Interviewer: I see, kinda like a tough American woman.

Sanada: That’s right! Just like a tough American woman. I always imagined Rachel as one of those girls that appear in horror movies that don’t have too much fashion sense. In my mind, there are a lot of girls in horror films that wear the plain white t-shirt and jeans combination. Especially in foreign horror films. I think that impression comes from those films.

Interviewer: Rachel is already pretty tall at the moment so her figure would get even better.

Sanada: That’s right. If I remember correctly, a lot of people were very surprised when we revealed her height (5′1″ / 156 cm). A lot of people were saying things like: “She’s taller than me!” I just pictured an American teenager and thought she would be around that height. But everyone thought she was way smaller because Zack is really tall. So, in terms of perspective, they might have thought she was a bit smaller.

Interviewer: Let’s move onto the 7th question, from the username Namin: “At the end, Zack and Rachel have their fateful reunion and they manage to escape the hospital. What do you think happened to the two of them after that?”

Sanada: Let’s see, first of all, thank you for the question. I actually touched a little bit on this topic in the fan documents. With regards to the ending of Satsuriku no Tenshi, I welcome as many scenarios as everyone can think of. And likewise, I have my own little ending for both of them. But since I am the writer of the story, if I say what my ending is, everyone will end up accepting it as canon, so I will refrain from answering this question at this moment. It doesn’t matter if it’s just a rough idea, but everyone should appreciate their own ending. So, Mr. Namin, it would make me very happy if you cherished your own ending.

Interviewer: In a sense, the ending was made that way for a reason.

Sanada: Yes. That’s right.

Interviewer: Now, let’s move onto the next question. It’s from the username Iriya Tsukishiro: “Thank you for hosting this online Satsuriku no Tenshi event. I found out about the manga just before the anime serialization and I fell in love with it. I would like to thank you for the wonderful writing and illustrations. I would like to ask a question regarding some of the things I found interesting from the manga and anime. How many days or months have passed between the time Rachel gets sacrificed and the day Zack comes back at the end of the main story?”

Sanada: I think enough time had passed for a 13-year-old girl’s heart to break. Time passes very quickly when you’re an adult, doesn’t it?

Interviewer: That’s right.

Sanada: But I think that that amount of time would feel really long for a 13-year-old, middle school girl. Also, on another note, if you think about it realistically, it takes a while to get a verdict on a death sentence.

Interviewer: Right.

Sanada: I tried to make it as real as possible where Rachel would be an adult at the end of the game. There must also be some traces of Rachel’s life as an adult somewhere in the art gallery or the fan book. And well, I actually made that as a mockup for the ending. After playing the game and making the escape with Zack and Rachel, it was pretty far away from what I had previously imagined. So I just gave that up.

Sanada: Up to that point, I had been spending all this time with Rachel in the game and having her wait that long. And after becoming an adult, she... how should I put it... The editing team actually mentioned this too. They said: “Isn’t she just becoming a ‘waiting woman’?” And of course, I didn’t feel too great about it.

TL Note: The term “waiting woman” (まつ女) means “someone who has lost a man’s affection or interest.” Here, Sanada is trying to say that if Zack were to keep Rachel waiting until she reaches adulthood, it would seem like he has lost interest and abandoned her, making Rachel seem weak and pitiable and Zack seem fickle and neglectful.

Sanada: Ultimately, the time it took for them to reunite was much more based on fantasy rather than on reality. I think it took around 6 months to 1 year and that probably isn’t realistic. I think it’s okay to create new developments with elements of reality and fantasy whenever you’re trying to tell a story.

Interviewer: And now, for our 9th question we have another question from the same person. This person actually bought several tickets, so we’ll be answering his question for a second time. 

Interviewer: “To take Father Gray’s test, Rachel goes back to the B3 area where, as per Cathy, Father Gray had laid a lot of traps. I wonder if he was being wasteful or just trying to be amiable. So here’s my question: How expensive was Cathy’s floor? I’m also very interested to know how expensive the other floors were. Where did all that money come from? Was it Father Gray’s money? This is what I was thinking after reading the manga and watching the anime. Thank you for your answer.”

Sanada: Expenses... right. That’s interesting. Such an interesting question. I think the money probably came from Father Gray. Now, as for how expensive it was... I wonder how much it was...

Sanada: Cathy always has the newest equipment. She’s always asking for the newest gadgets. She’s always like: “The performance of this new display is much better,” or “This weapon is great!” or “I can use this to execute someone.” So I think she’s the type of person that just hoards new stuff. She’s always spending money. At least that’s how I imagine her.

Sanada: He also asked how much each floor cost. If you think about it... Even though Cathy’s floor has the newest weapons, if you compare it to the other characters’ floors, it doesn’t seem like it needed at lot of interior decorating expenses. That just occurred to me...

Sanada: I mean, the other floors, they are recreating whole towns like with Zack’s floor. Even the back alleys... It’s the same for Eddie, he had to drag all that dirt into the building. Carrying all that heavy stuff must cost a fortune. Gray has that massive church-like temple, and Rachel has her own house.

Sanada: Now that I think back on it... I’m like: “Huh?! Everyone has spent way more money than Cathy on their interiors!” I mean, just on the initial investment. And as I’ve said, Cathy didn’t spend much at first. Instead, she keeps buying additional equipment. She’s probably wasting her paycheck on all that stuff. That could be seen as wasteful, since she just kept on buying more and more stuff. She’s like: “I want this,” and she’s begging for stuff. I wonder what floor was the most expensive... Everyone, please tell us what you think!

Interviewer: If you had to take a look at their receipts every month. Let’s just pretend Gray didn’t build that massive church and shed some light on Cathy’s lavish lifestyle, haha.

Sanada: Right, he’s got that stainless steel pipe-organ.

Interviewer: How much does that cost?

Sanada: It makes you think...  Interviewer: You guys can try to calculate it if you want.

Sanada:  We would be happy if any of you guys could tell us.

TL Note: Although it depends on size and the number of ranks, the average pipe organ is around $30,000 - $75,000. Some can cost as many as a million dollars, but Gray’s doesn’t really look that big considering Zack and Rachel can push it by themselves.

Long before, a time that the half bred Enderman can barely remember, he was alone. Abandoned outside a dark dungeon, wiggling silverfish running around the floor, across his legs, they were the closest thing he had to some kind of interaction, closest thing he felt to affection, closest thing to love. He had been abandoned by his mother, the one person that was supposed to love him no matter what, yet being a half bred is what casted him out.

He didn’t even have a name, all he knew was how to say one single word; Boo. At first the young enderman had cried for days on end, hungry, thirsty, growing lower on health day by day, getting colder from the stronghold the farther he wandered around, crying for his mother, the only thing he managed to remember and even then it was a faded memory of her glowing velvet eyes. The eyes that comforted him despite how much hatred and fear was within them staring upon him.

When he did finally crawl out of the stronghold, his feet had touched the warm grass, a new sensation that he was curious about, having only know the cold stone of the stronghold for years. The sounds of the sheep around him were also new, he had slowly walked up to the wooled animals, curling himself up at the side of one of the rams, trying to get any sort of warmth.

He lived like that, with the sheep for years, they kept him warm, showed him where to find food, he felt safe. But something was still missing, he still wasn’t able to say anything, just ‘boo’. 

That’s when he met her, a small h/c haired e/c eyed girl running around the plains, a small grey dog chasing after her and barking. She was holding a stone sword in a her small hands and a golden crown placed upon her head, she looked around the same age as him, maybe a little younger. Something about her made the enderman curious, it was the first time he had seen someone like him yet she also wasn’t like him, she had s/c skin, nothing like his two toned colour.

His sheep friends had perked up in a instant at the sounds of the dogs barks, scattering in a mess of chaos around the field, abandoning the enderman in pure sight sticking out like a sore thumb surrounded by the flowers littering the field.

He covered his face in shame trying to run to one of his sheep friends but he couldn’t catch up as his long legs made him trip onto the dirt. A stinging sensation was sent to his knee but he continued to try and cover himself, not wanting to be seen and called weird for looking different than that perfect stranger.

“Hello?” he didn’t dare look up, he knew it was her. Even her voice was perfect, what kind of imperfection did this girl have? She had to have at least one, he certainly had many. 

How was he supposed to answer, he couldn’t muster any words, not like he could if he even wanted to, he didn’t know how to talk still. 

The girl knelt down, her grass stained from playing in the field touched the warm grass from the hot sun beaming down on the two. The enderman shook in place, his face buried between his knees while the girl hesitantly placed her hand on his shoulder, earning a small what almost sounded like an angry enderman sound but in a whimper.

“Do you not know how to talk?” the enderman only nodded shamefully, ready for the girl to laugh at him, yet she didn’t. She just stared at him, her e/c filled with confusion as she tilted her head towards him. The enderman raised his head, looking up at the girl who gasped quietly looking at his eyes, they were glowing and two different colours, “your eyes, they’re so cool.”

“Boo!” he said quietly but a sound of excitement was in his voice. A smile spread across the girl’s bright face.

“My name is Y/N, what’s your name?” Y/N asked, looking at him while she held out her small hand, the enderman deciding to ignore his fears and allow the girl to help him off the ground, catching her off guard slightly at his height for being so young.

He just shrugged, he never really had a name. No one ever bothered to ask for his name, most people just looked at him and ran away in fear, never giving him this chance, “Boo?”

Y/N smiled brightly remembering how she had first seen the little boy with a crowd of sheep, “how about Ram-boo? Can you say that?”

The words were on his tongue, it was just trying to say it that would be hard. He looked at the girl trying to focus on the word, “R-Ra-boo.” He inhaled, watching the light sparkle in Y/N’s eyes, “Ranboo!”

Y/N smiled happily clapping, sure it wasn’t exactly perfect but she loved it even better than Ramboo. Ranboo... Ranboo seemed to love it just as much, mainly excited for the fact that he was able to say it so well after going so long only knowing how to say the last part of his new name.

Y/N suddenly started pulling Ranboo’s arm running off in a different direction as Ranboo tried to keep up. Y/N cheered happily running through the flowers, her dog running behind both of them. “come on Ranboo, dad and pappy will be happy to meet you!”

The only thing illuminating your bedroom was the dimly lit screen of your phone hovering only inches over your face, dangerously loose in your tired grip

What was depicted in front of you was stopping your heart in all the wrong places

The pictures and comments were all over instagram, twitter, tumblr and even facebook

Even on YouTube were first reaction videos about it, even though it had only been an hour at most since the first picture was uploaded 

There were only two original pictures if you substracted all the edits that had been uploaded and you recognized these shots immediatly

You had been out on a date with you girlfriend and the two of you had been in a small coffee shop enjoying some lunch

Because you hated all the attention that came from the media with being a Wayne you had explained early on in your relationship that you’d rather keep it in private 

So when you went out you were just ‘friends’

You made up for it in private tho 

But on that day things changed becaue your girlfriend had been really stressed with her exams lately and just needed some consolation

That was how the first picture came: The two of you sitting opposite of each other on a small table with you holding her hand ontop of it, rubbing small circles into her skin

That alone was no big thing, pictures like that were published a lot and just ended up in the big void that was the internet, but the noisy paparazzi who had followed the two of you ever since they had caught sight of you a few streets back wasn’t satisfied yet

So they followed you further when you left the shop about twenty minutes later

You had been so sure that there was no one around in the secluded area of the park you had been walking through and your girlfriend had that sad smile on her lips that she always had when things were on her mind and she couldn’t complete concentrate on her time with you

So you decided you’d distract her for a few seconds

And the second picture was born

The two of you kissing, luckily (just like in the first pic) her back was turned to the camera and her identity wasn’t traceable, one of your hands on her waist, the other on her cheeck

If it had just been that picture then sure, rumours would have started, people would’ve started asking, but you could’ve said it wasn’t you, your face wasn’t visible enough for them to claim otherwise, but with the other picture taken only minutes earlier in the same clothes with the same partner?

Now it was out in the world

But....

It didn’t really feel that bad

Of course, like always, there were hateful people who commented nasty stuff and a few even dm-ed you about what a disgrace to gotham you supposidly were, but they were nothing compared to the crowd of hundres if not thousands who commented and dm-ed and uploaded how happy and excited they were for you

Edits of pics of you with the lesbian flags were quickly making their way through the web

And it felt good

Of course you knew that wouldn’t be all of it, part of being a “celebrity” was to adress things like that and even if you realitivly kept out of the public eye you surely wouldn’t get around at least one interview of a talk-show-visit

But you’d manage, you’d managed quote-on-quote “scandals” before

Like that one time you posted that you thought Batman was a giant whimp and should finally confirm he was a giant furry - of course that happened a few minutes after you and your dad had a small falling out

You had to go on four different Gotham-based Interviews that month and constantly meet up with the PR-manager

It was...interesting... to say the least

And this now was no real difference

And, as an added Bonus, you could finally take your girlfriend to Galas and kiss her in public (if she was okay with the attention obviously, you wouldn’t drag her into that without her permission)

But I digress

That night you fell asleep calm and happy

The next day on the other hand...

I don’t think the Wayne family is the kind of family that you’d feel like you have to keep things like that from (obviously everyone is different and has different limits, but I’ll have to somewhat assume that)

So I’ll just say that you already told them

Still, they’re incredibly worried with how you’ll react to being outed against your will

So let’s just say you spend most of the day telling your (very, very, very extended) family about how you feel and that it’s okay

Jason still might or might not had trashed that paparazzis apartement and camera as a small lession about privacy, but you won’t find out about that until much later

Straight-up, Kate will take you out and spoil you just a little bit alongside with Cass who joins the two of you (My fav gay squad - or at least bi, since I headcanon that Cass could totally be bi) 

They all obviously want to show you and (mainly) the public how much they support you
