Ruben Dias x Reader - Risk It All Part 3/6
Read it. Even if you aren't a Ruben fan. Read this damn story!!!! Cuz it's gooood 🤭🤭
Tumblr media
Reader gets pregnant by Ruben. Although the two are not together Ruben promises to support her through the pregnancy, eventually letting reader stay with him until the child is born.  (This fic includes alot of angst and serious topics)
Enjoy!
Things happened so fast once the test results panned out positive, saying that Ruben was indeed the father of your unborn child. He had you move out of Lina's apartment and in with him, after the two spent quite some time arguing about it. Nevertheless it was your words that got her to finally surrender. You told her that it was for the best, that you couldn't stay on your bosses couch forever.
"Call me." She said. "Anytime."
You nodded. "I will."
You felt homesick the first nights spent in Ruben's apartment. You had the urgent need to call your mother but there was a ten procent chance that she would even pick up. Drug abuse did that to a person.
You were up late one night, on the verge of tears, when footsteps emerged and the lights in the kitchen came on.
"You're up?"
Ruben appeared, an empty water bottle in his hand. He wore slippers and oversized basketball shorts, however nothing more than that. His bare chest was outlined in the dimmed light, his muscles lean and very very visible.
"I..." You said, wiping your runny nose. "I couldn't sleep."
"Oh."
He walked over to the sink, turning on the water to refill his bottle. Once the cap was on he turned back to you. "Is the room too hot? I mean, you asked me to turn the temperature up yesterday."
"The room is fine Ruben." You said, a faint smile on your lips. But it faded quickly and Ruben noticed.
"Hey." He approached you, lifting your head before it dropped. He held it between his hands, staring blankly into your watering eyes. "You're crying, what's wrong?"
You sniffled, shaking your head.
"No, tell me." His eyebrows furrowed.
"Ruben...."
"Yes?"
"Ruben...."
"Y/N, please, tell me what's wrong?"
You pushed the words through your clogged throat. "Why aren't there any snacks in your apartment?"
"Huh?"
You lifted your head, a dead serious look in your eyes. "I've looked everywhere, but nothing."
His hands left your face, scratching the back of his head. "Y/N, if it's snacks that you want..."
He went over to the nearest cabinet, however you didn't allow yourself to get too excited since you had already gone through the same cabinet twice.
"Here you go, snacks."
Your heart sank as Ruben slid a bag of unseasoned rice cakes your way.
"Ruben." You sighed. "Snacks aren't supposed to have fiber in them, or say 'organic' on the side of packaging."
"No?"
"No. The label is suppose to spell out the words 'extra salty' or 'extra sweet'. And anything that resembles edible snacks in your home turns out to be sugar free."
Ruben batted his eyes, quite baffled by your sudden ranting. "Alright." He nodded. "Tomorrow. I'll get you some snacks tomorrow."
"Real snacks." You demanded.
"Yeeees. Real snacks, extra saltysweet or whatever."
"That's all I ask."
You wiped your cheeks, ready to go to bed now. Astonished, Ruben watched you retreat to the guestroom. Although the two of you had started out romantically, you both agreed that a more platonic relationship was best for everyone.
"Goodnight Ruben."
He stood in the doorway of his bedroom, water bottle in hand. "Goodnight Y/N, I'll see you tomorrow."
Tomorrow came, however Ruben was nowhere to be found. Instead you were startled on your way to grabbing breakfast that morning.
"Hello Y/N."
You held a hand to your chest, calming down from the sudden fright. "Whatta....who are you ?"
It was a young woman, perhaps in her early thirties. She was well dressed in a pantsuit that did wonders to her slim figure, carving an illusion that she had curves.
"I'm sorry to scare you. I'm Elena, Ruben's personal assistant and publicist."
"Ruben's what?" You frowned.
"Publicist." She smiled, like a well trained flight attendant. "Ruben said it would be a good time for us to meet now that you've settled in."
"He did?"
"Yes. He also told me that we should go over a few things about your arrangement."
"Um, okay...."
Elena smiled politly and gestured for you take a seat across from her. The table was already set with a light breakfast containing fruits, freshly squeezed orange juice and other healthy ingredients that screamed 'A fitness psychopath lives here!'.
"I take it that Ruben hasn't told you much about me." She said.
You nodded. "Not at all."
"Well, I'm happy to introduce myself. Ruben and I have worked together for a few years now, mainly focusing on improving his image as a professional athlete to increase his value in the market of brand deals and so on." Elena's eyes looked to examine you up and down. A bit unpleasant since, compared to her, you looked a mess. "When Ruben told me about your current situation, I interpreted it as a cry for help."
"A what now?" Who was crying for what? You thought. Because if someone deserved to do any crying, it was you.
"As you may understand, this sort of news could be quite damaging if not handled properly." She said, spelling it out for you as if you were a three year old. "Ruben has a very important image to up hold and having a casual situation turn into a public battle for custody is not what Ruben needs at this stage of his professional career."
"Excuse me?" You almost choked on a grape.
"Don't get me wrong Y/N. It is very clear that you and Ruben have no problem getting along. I mean everything has gone according to plan this far."
"Plan, what plan?" You frowned. Elena's bright eyes and plastered smile was beginning to feel sinister to you. She sighed and clasped her hands as they rested upon the table. "The plan is for you and Ruben to marry."
"WHAT?"
"Preferably before the child is born. Before you even start to show."
"Marry Ruben. Why would I do that?" You could think of a few reasons, mainly for the money, security and the tiniest voice in the back of your head that often urged you to confess your true emotions for him.
"It's the best way to minimize the damage" Elena said, unhinged for describing your pregnancy as something damaging.
"Alright, I think I got everything..."
A key turned in the lock, followed by Ruben stumbling through the front door and into the apartment. He was carrying bags upon bags of....you could see through them, outlining packages of Oreo cookies, Jaffa Cakes, Walker Crisps, Cheese Doodles and extra sour Sour Patch Kids.
"Ruben." Elena exclaimed, more than happy to see him. Ruben on the other hand....
"Elena? I didn't know you were coming over today."
"The sooner the better, don't you think?"
Ruben looked to you, perhaps knowing by the look on your face that Elena had told you about the arrangement.
"Y/N, let me explain..."
You stood, already making your way back to the guestroom room.
"Y/N, please. Let me expl...."
"Explain it to my ass Ruben."
It was all he could see as you strut back into your room, slamming the door behind yourself.
Marry Ruben?
There was no way.

Chapter 3 : Magic Spells

Gooood afternoon everyone!!
I might start posting these more frequently because updating weekly feels really slow. But only if I manage to write more in advance. Look out for surprise Wednesday updates every now and then.
I'm considering starting an ask blog over on Tumblr for the characters of this au and a few others (namely Across Land And Water, the New Year's fic au and my Darkside Roman AU) so if anyone would be interested let me know??
It might not happen until I post a little more for this and my New Year's au that I need a name for. But hopefully that won't take long. Lol.
But yea lmk! (I did make a post specifically about it so you can find that too if you want.
They had realised very quickly that their supply of gold to spend was much more limited than they had first realised.
Over the course of the day, the three of them had gone around town together (during which time Logan refused to let Roman out of his sight) and gathered up all of the necessary items. They had gotten a spare set of clothes for Logan, along with camping gear as well as a few other things they had spotted and decided they might need.
After that, they had returned to the tavern and paid for another night, before splitting off to their own rooms to get a good night’s sleep so they could begin their journey in the morning. In Roman and Logan’s room though, Logan had pulled out the gold they had been given by the palace and counted out what they had left, only to realise that they had way less than they had originally thought.
“We are going to have to learn to live sparingly,” Logan had said solemnly. “We cannot afford luxuries every night if this mission is to take us as long as I currently believe it might.”
Roman sighed. “That’s… alright, we can deal with that, right?”
“I certainly can,” Logan said, a small smile on his face. “I don’t know about you, however, you spoilt prince.”
“Hey!” Roman yelped. “That’s so mean! I’m not spoilt!”
“Yes, Roman, you are.” Logan rolled his eyes. “You have people to bring you breakfast in a tray to your room every morning. You were confused when we didn’t wake up to people waiting on our every whim this morning.”
“I- I can get used to it,” Roman said, suddenly slightly unsure. Could he? Really? It was such a strange and drastic lifestyle change. “At least, I am able to do my best.”
“You are trying, and I can respect that.” Logan nodded. “It’s alright, at least now we have Patton to help.”
Roman gasped. “Is this a hint of positivity towards our new companion I hear?”
“It would be untrue to say that he didn’t prove that he was helpful to us today,” Logan said, looking away. “He is strange, but I’ll admit, he seems to be a worthy companion.”
“Are you… embarrassed?” Roman asked, frowning in confusion—Logan was never embarrassed about anything. “Why are you…”
“It’s- nothing important, I don’t think.” Logan shook his head. “Just a feeling I have yet to identify, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out in time, do not worry yourself.”
Roman could only stare at Logan, who stared back with a neutral expression, nothing there that Roman could read, as usual. He supposed he’d have to give in to this one.
“Alllright then,” Roman said slowly, “I suppose I will see you in the morning?”
“Of course you will, we’re sleeping in the same room,” Logan said, gesturing to the space as he laid down on the bed.
Roman sighed. “I mean- nevermind. Sweet dreams to you, goodnight.”
“Goodnight, Roman.”
—-
The next day started well, In Roman’s opinion. They had woken up early and Patton had insisted that they get breakfast at a place further down mainstreet than the inn to ‘celebrate the beginning of a great adventure!’ Logan had insisted that it was unnecessary, considering that their adventure had already started. Patton and Roman—though it was mainly Patton—had eventually managed to convince him and they had gotten pancakes together. The shop sold amazing pancakes and Roman made a mental note to find out the recipe they used and provide it to the palace chefs when they returned.
It was still early enough in the morning when they actually began to walk that Logan remained happy, and with only minor distractions (mainly on Roman’s part—he really wasn’t good at staying focused) they had left the capital around noon. By the time the sun had begun to set they were well along the forest road. Patton had stopped them not long after and informed them that setting up camp was probably a good idea for now.
From Logan’s map, they had concluded that they had somehow made more progress than he had originally planned, having already passed over the stream and taken the left fork in the road. They would only have another two days’ travel to complete after they set off the next day.
—-
“You talked about magic, back in the inn,” Patton stated as they looked over the little camp that they had put together under his direction. Logan turned and nodded.
“I am a practising wizard,” Logan said. “Why do you point this out?”
“Well um- see I’m not sure how much you know about the wilderness,” Patton said, sitting down next to the firepit they had built and pulling out a matchbox from his pack. “But there can sometimes be gangs of bandits who camp in the forest and like to ambush other camps to steal their stuff, so I- uh- I was just thinking if it wasn’t too much trouble, maybe- um- maybe there was some kind of magic spell to protect or hide our camp?”
“Ah, I see.” Logan nodded. “That should be simple enough, as long as you give me a little time.”
“Alright!” Patton smiled. “I don’t have much magic, so I don’t know that much about it, but I know it can do all sorts o’ cool stuff, so I thought I’d ask.”
“Magic can be very powerful indeed.” Logan nodded. “A concealment spell is incredibly simple to perform, however, do you have any magic at all?”
“Barely,” Patton said with a roll of his eyes, before lifting his hand. Slowly, specks of light began to appear around his fingers, which started getting brighter and brighter, like a match lighting in slow motion. “This is about all I can do, I’m- uh- human- and we’re not really known for magical abilities…”
“That is impressive, and could be fairly useful in certain situations,” Logan told him. Roman was pretty sure Patton blushed, but the light from his hand fizzled out before he could get a good look. While they talked he moved to sit down on the fallen log they had found and chosen to build their camp around.
“You- you think so?” Patton asked as he struck the match to light the fire.
“Of course.” Logan nodded. “It would be very useful as a signal, or to find your way in the dark, negating the need for fire, it could also be a way to help us find you if you were to get lost, for example. You could also use it in combat as a method of incapacitating people by temporarily blinding them, if you can make it brighter.”
“Wow I- I never thought about any of that!” Patton said, smiling at Logan. Roman looked silently back and forth between them both as Logan’s star freckles brightened. The prince furrowed his brow, though the pair couldn’t see him in the dark. “I’m not really- um- one for combat, though.”
“No, I wouldn’t have guessed you were,” Logan said “In a battle setting I would probably have placed you in a healers tent, just from the aura you give off alone.”
Patton laughed, like tinkling bells and Roman narrowed his eyes at Logan, from whom he thought he heard a hitch of breath.
“Funny you say that,” Patton said after his giggles subsided. “I actually know bits and pieces about medicine—my mamma runs the apothecary in our hometown.”
“Ah, medicine is a very useful practice to know about.” Logan nodded. “I am training to become a wizard, as we mentioned. Speaking of, now would be a good time to set up a concealment spell. If you’ll excuse me…”
“Ok!” Patton nodded, coming to sit down next to Roman whilst Logan moved away to start working on the spell. Roman turned to face him, wondering what on earth he’d just witnessed, it had almost looked like…
“What about you, then?” Patton asked him, interrupting his train of thought. “Have you got magic?”
“Some.” Roman nodded in response. “I am not nearly as powerful as Logan is, however, nor my brother—my specialities lie in swordfighting, rather than magic.”
“Oh, neat!” Patton said with a smile, though he didn’t seem quite as enthused as he had been when talking to Logan. Granted he was still friendly and Roman didn’t feel like Patton liked him any less, he just thought… something was different. “You’re good with a sword?”
“Indeed!” Roman answered with a smile. “And a few spells, although they are mainly combat focused ones.”
“I see! I’ll be trusting you then, if our camp is ambushed by bandits,” Patton said, elbowing him with a grin before standing up to poke and prod at the fire with a stick. Roman smiled.
“You should trust in Logan’s spells, first and foremost, they almost never fail.”
“One time!” Logan called from across the clearing. “A spell went wrong one time and this is the treatment I get?”
“I trust your spells, Logan,” Patton said with an odd kind of grin that made Roman feel like fake-gagging just to prove a point.
“Thank you, Patton,” Logan said, before standing at the edge of the circle and murmuring a few nonsense spell words from some forgotten language. The runes he had drawn in the ground began to glow dimly, though they seemed bright in the dark. Patton stared at them, seemingly transfixed as the light pulsed once, twice, before shooting upward and forming a shimmering dome over them, then fading as if there was never any magic there in the first place.
“...woah,” Patton breathed, leaning back and looking up at the stars. “That was… beautiful.”
“Um,” Logan said eloquently, with a sort of choked off cough and Roman was glad for the darkness hiding the way his face split into a shit-eating grin, because he’d finally realised what was going on with his friend. “Er- thank you- I’m… glad you think so.”
Roman could barely contain a snort of laughter. He was pretty sure Logan was bright purple and Patton was no doubt smiling from ear to ear as the pair continued to talk for the best part of an hour whilst Roman tried in vain to fall asleep.
—-
Sleeping on the ground was an experience, and not a good one. Roman was uncomfortable, even with the mat and sleeping bags they’d bought. He thought he really couldn’t be blamed for that, he’d never slept on anything less than the perfect mattress before going on this trip so going from that to the literal dirt was a shock to his system. Doing it three nights in a row had done absolutely nothing to help this discomfort, in fact it had been almost bearable after the first night and just gotten worse from there.
When he woke up on the third morning, everything ached, his neck hurt and his shoulders were locked up. His back felt like it had been pulled and the feeling didn’t seem to go away no matter how much Roman stretched. Logan even had the audacity to laugh at him as he packed up in a grump. He thought his feelings were valid. Logan could make fun of him all he wanted for being a stuck up Prince who was uncomfortable sleeping in dirt. Screw him!
“Are we nearly there?” Roman grumbled, holding onto his bag straps. He really wanted to let his wings out for a flutter. He already felt so cooped up despite it only being the sixth day of their adventure. Obviously he couldn’t do that—not if he didn’t want Patton to know who he was, anyway.
“We’ve been walking for half an hour,” Patton said with a laugh, nudging his arm. “C’mon, cheer up!”
“I feel as though I’ve been run over by a carriage,” Roman grumbled, glaring at Patton, who really started laughing now.
“You’ll get used to it,” Logan told him. “For now, you’ll just have to deal with it, now stop moping if you will, we still have hours to walk and I really don’t want to have to deal with such a sour mood.”
Roman groaned. “Aren’t you supposed to respect me or something?”
“You’re the one who decided to bring another person along,” Logan pointed out, Patton waved as he acknowledged.
“Why does that mean you can’t respect him?” Patton asked, tilting his head a little as they walked.
“There is a lot of information you can’t be privy to,” Logan told him. “I would like to be as transparent as possible, but there are a lot of things we simply cannot tell you about ourselves and our mission. I hope you can understand.”
“...Alright.” Patton nodded. “You guys have your secrets, I know how important secrets can be, it’s okay.”
“Thank you, Patton,” Roman said with a half smile. “Really, though, couldn’t either of you have warned me about the repercussions of sleeping on the ground?”
“Sorry, kiddo,” Patton said with a shrug. “I’m pretty much used to it, so I didn’t think to warn you.”
Roman groaned, but nodded and tried his best to brighten up a little bit as they continued on their way.
—-
Just as Farfalia was lively and full of light and sound, Mirefeld was dingy and quiet. There were few people out on the streets and those who were sculked in corners and edges. It shot a feeling of unease straight down Roman’s spine that made him stand up straighter, much more alert now that they had entered the town proper.
Despite the sun still being up in the sky as afternoon was only just beginning to become evening, the light was blocked out by dark smoke billowing from chimneys. The ground was stained with soot and the windows in the buildings were fogged with dirt. Roman folded his arms, tucking his hands against his body almost as though he was giving himself a hug. This place felt off in a way he couldn’t quite explain.
“Come on,” Patton whispered, catching their attention in the eerie silence, “the inn is this way.”
Patton had spoken in hushed tones to the bartender, who looked like he could fold Roman like a lawn chair if he so much as stepped wrong. Neither he nor Logan had spoken since they’d gotten here, but Roman could almost tell that his friend felt the same way about all of this as he did.
They were still in his kingdom, and knowing that was the only thing that brought him comfort in this situation. If he were to reveal his identity the guards would come to their protection. So at least there was that.
—-
“Alright,” Patton told them when they finally stood in one of the rooms they had rented, away from the oppressive atmosphere of the rest of the town.
“This place gives me an odd feeling,” Roman said slowly. “I would prefer it if we didn’t stay here for any longer than necessary.”
“I am inclined to agree.” Logan nodded. “I would like to get the information we need and then leave as soon as possible.”
“Yeah, I- I think I underestimated how much you two wouldn’t fit in,” Patton said, with a strained laugh.
“That's alright, now, you mentioned, back in the capital, that taverns were the best place for information gathering,” Logan said. “So I suppose we should start here?”
“Yep.” Patton nodded. “Let’s go downstairs and see what information we get from the locals, alright?”
“That sounds like a plan,” Roman said, placing his pack down on one of the beds. “Logan?”
“That is the best plan we have right now, so I suppose we will follow your lead, Patton,” Logan nodded. Patton smiled back before leading them out of the room and back down into the tavern below.

Tumblr media
Namjoon
“Go, go, go, go, go, heeeyy! Heyyyy!”
Namjoon watches YN carefully as Hobi, Mirai, Taehyung, and Jimin cheer her on loudly at the dancefloor.
“How low can you go, YN?” Jimin yells out as he drops to the floor.
Hobi whips out his camera to capture the moment.
“I can go lower,” she slurred as she lowered her hips to the floor, teetering over her heels until she lost her balance and landed on her bottom–she and Jimin falling in absolute stitches.
Namjoon springs into action.
“Alright–I think she’s done for the night,” he says. “Hoseok-ssi, you can stop recording now.” It wasn’t a request.
“Such a party pooper,” Hobi hiccupped.
“Whatever, man. C’mon, YN–let’s go,” Namjoon says as he helps YN off the floor.
“What are you doing,” she groaned.
“This stops right now, YN. You’re done.”
She giggled once Namjoon got her on her feet. “I just need to lie down, that’s all–” she slurred.
“Uh-huh. You lie down and you’ll go to sleep, just like Jimin over there.”
She glances over to her teammate and sees him passed out next to the DJ booth, Mirai checking on him.
She snorts. “Sleep is gooood…”
“Yes, but it might be better if we get you back to your room in case you need to throw up–we don’t want all these people to witness it,” Namjoon says.
Right then, YN started to dry-heave.
“Fuck, hold it in–” Namjoon utters as he tries to drag her out of the lounge to race towards the elevators.
Right when they both walk towards the elevator, she confesses that she doesn’t remember where she put her room key card.
Namjoon grunts in annoyance and they walk towards the front desk instead.
The front desk staff looks at Namjoon suspiciously as he tries to request for a copy of her room key while she leaned against the granite counter, with her head resting on her elbows.
“Listen, she’s my coworker–she’s had plenty to drink and I’m just trying to be a good person here, okay?”
“Mm-hmm,” the staff says with her eyebrow cocked at him. “You know our security cameras are well-maintained here, right? That anything you try will be captured–”
Namjoon then argues that the cameras will prove that he had no ill-will towards you.
After a few more minutes of back and forth, YN started sliding off the counter. He makes one final plea to the front desk staff and she finally relents and gives him a copy of the room key.
******
“This is patronizing,” she says as they both get off the elevator and walk down to her room.
“Leave it to you to use big words when you’re wasted,” he says as he supports most of her weight against his hip, his arm holding her close to him.
“Okay but–why are you doing this again? Why are you helping me?”
“Because–I think you’ve had too much to drink and…and I don’t want you to die from alcohol poisoning, okay?”
“After the last couple years, I’m sure you’d like me to die from alcohol poisoning,” she snickered.
“If you did, who would I argue with at the office? You expect me to just get along with everybody?”
“Shuuut…uuuup,” she dragged out.
“See? That right there–who needs mutual respect and professionalism when I can have blind hatred. Now c’mon. Let’s get you to bed,” he says as he taps the keycard swiftly and opens the door to her room.
As he props the door open with his shoulder, she giggled. “You would like to put me to bed, wouldn’t you?”
Namjoon’s eyes immediately darted at her, searching her face.
Her lips curved into a slow smile while her eyes fluttered lazily at him.
He sighs after a long beat then shakes his head–then continues to walk her into the room.
******
“Why did you let him get to you?” He says as he sets her down on the bed, making sure that she is stable enough for him to fetch a warm towel from the bathroom to wipe her face.
“Who?”
“Yoongi,” he calls out as he walks towards the bathroom. She hears the faucet running.
She rolled her eyes before releasing an exasperated breath. “I was just angry.”
“Well, you’ve chosen the perfect revenge–mainlining tequila!”
“You know what they say…” she paused.
“What do they say?” There was more silence. “YN, what do they say,” Namjoon walks out of the bathroom and finds her raiding the minibar. He rushes to stop her for fear of getting extra charges getting billed to her room.
“Oh shit–YN! No-no-no–”
“I need some Skittles! I’m starving,” she slurred as she attempted to tear the bag open.
“YN, that small-ass bag is $12!” She and Namjoon start to wrestle for the bag until it tears in half and the pieces fall everywhere–to the floor, onto the bed.
Namjoon huffs, and tries to pick up the candy. “YN, don’t eat it off the floor, please!”
She giggled again as she was on all fours, picking up the candy and chewing on them.
“Did—did you drink the vodka and more tequila,” he asks incredulously, seeing the two small empty bottles on the floor.
She smiled then shrugged her shoulders.
Namjoon shakes his head in disappointment. “C’mon, let’s get you on the bed,” he says, picking her up by her armpits, supporting her by her hips and walking her towards the bed.
“You would like that, wouldn’t you, Namjoon,” she snickered right before he lays down on her back, ensuring that her head was resting on the pillow before he pulled the sheets over her.
“Okay–please, please don’t move. I’m going to the bathroom really quickly and will be back, okay?”
She hummed.
When he returned, he found her out of bed, stripping her top off.
“Shit, YN…” he tosses the towel back in the sink.
“I’m hot–”
“No-no-no-no-no–don’t do that–Ahhhh!” he cringes and immediately shuts his eyes after he gets a glimpse of her cleavage.
She laughed at him as she held her top in her hand. “Jesus, it’s just boobs, Namjoon!”
Eyes shut, he moves in closer. “Please, don’t do that. This is incredibly inappropriate. I can turn up the air conditioning, if you’re hot,” he says as he tries to pull her top back down to cover her up.
“But then I’ll be cold,” she whined as she tried to pull the hem of her shirt up again.
“Aarrrgggh,” Namjoon growls in frustration as she attempts to strip in front of him once more–she manages to get one arm out but Namjoon tries to desperately hold the other top down since half her bra was out.
“Fuck–c’mon, YN. Work with me here!”
She was way too unstable on her feet so he curses under his breath and picks her up off her feet, bridal style and carries her back to the bed–without any protests.
He sets her down gently then proceeds to tuck the blankets on either side of her, like a mummy, almost–so she wouldn’t be tempted to take her clothes off in front of him again. He keeps his hands tucked beneath her body in case she tried something.
She was already half-asleep before she turned her head to him, which caught him off-guard.
“Hi.”
He chuckles softly. “Hi.”
“You have eyes like a dragon’s,” she smiles languidly at him.
He chuckles again. “Hmm. That’s a first,” he says while hands are still underneath her body.
“Now it’s your turn to say something nice about me,” she asked–almost demanded.
He laughs, unsure if she would even remember. He thought about it carefully first then said, “You’re the smartest person in the room, YN.”
She paused for a long beat before her eyes started to water. “If I’m so smart, why couldn’t I see this coming? Is there something wrong with me? Am I not good enough for him, Namjoon?”
Namjoon’s jaw starts to tick. “Sshh…don’t say that about yourself, YN. You are a smart person. He’s the one who’s dumb for doing this to you. Don’t let that get to you–don’t let him get to you.”
They both stared at each other for a few seconds. Namjoon wasn’t sure what to make of it, really. She was drunk, overly-emotional, and needed some comfort.
He was first to break contact by clearing his throat.
“Can I trust you to stay put?”
She nodded silently.
“Okay. I’ll be right back.”
He yanks his hands from underneath, completely unaware that his watch’s clasp had loosened, getting caught beneath the covers.
By the time he squeezes the warm water out of the towel and makes his way back to the bedroom, she was already fast asleep.
He still walks over and proceeds to turn her head to wipe her makeup off. He absolutely had no clue what he was doing or if this is what women typically did. He was just focused on eliminating as much color as possible, hoping she’d appreciate the fact that he didn’t allow her to fall asleep with makeup on.
******
Since she was already asleep, he thought about one more thing to get her for the morning–when the hangover hits.
“Hi–me again,” Namjoon says to the skeptical front desk staff.
“So it is,” she deadpans. “You didn’t hurt that poor woman, did you?”
“No. She’s in bed, actually–”
The front desk staff’s eyebrows quirk up suspiciously at him.
Namjoon glares at her. “Nothing happened. I’m not that type of guy, okay? Anyway, I was wondering if you sold some ibuprofen here?”
“Yes, we do.”
“Great. Can I get two packs, please? I’m not sure how much she’ll need by the time she wakes up tomorrow.” He digs through his back pocket for his wallet.
She reaches under the desk to hand him two packets, which Namjoon takes and requests to charge it to his room. He thanks her quickly before walking quickly to the elevators to get back to YN’s room.
******
He sets the pills down on the nightstand along with a bottle of water. He looks over to her–still fast asleep.
“YN? YN?” He checks to make sure that she was completely out before he leaves the room for the night.
He sinks into the mattress, close to where her head is laid. He brushes some errant strands of hair off her face. She stirred, soft moans fading into whatever Nth dream she was in.
He knew a little bit about YN…where she got her doctorate from, who her undergrad mentor was, how many publications she’d had, notable lectures and presentations–including appealing to congress to close the equity gap in public education.
She held noble causes close to her heart. These weren’t things that you could read off a resume. After YN captured his attention during that conference call, he had to sell Celina on the idea of recruiting her since she hadn’t been working in the field for more than two years. But her experience still held a lot of value and potential  and Namjoon was intent on tapping into that.
He attended two of her lectures and read a few of her journal publications. He was in awe of her research methods, especially the level of humanity that she brings into her studies.
It’s been something that he’s wanted to venture into for a while, after dealing with countless government contracts.
He realizes that this whole ‘rivalry’ was borne out of nothing–mainly to protect his ego. And every day that he’s challenged YN, she always rose to the occasion, exuding even more confidence than ever. At some point, he wondered if she was superhuman after all?
Tonight’s events proved him wrong. A mere man named Min Yoongi knocked her down a couple of pegs. She was angry and started to question herself–it was something foreign to Namjoon as she always seemed sure of herself.
But he decided that he wouldn’t hold it against her. She was human after all–just like him. He also realized that he royally fucked things up with her. They both should be working together, not against each other. And he was determined to make that right.
He rises, preparing to leave. Her gentle snores were making him chuckle. He drew the blackout curtains shut, ensuring that there were no gaps. He figured any sunlight that would peek through would worsen whatever headache that was to come.
Before he heads out the door, he picks up the small trash bin by the desk and puts it right next to the bed. It occurred to him that she hadn’t thrown up yet–and it probably won’t be long until she hurled.
He wasn’t going to stick around for that, though. He leaves the key card on the console, then while he grasps the doorjamb, he takes one last look at her–still sound asleep–before shutting the door.
He walks down the hallway to his own room. As soon as he reaches out to tap his own keycard to his door, he notices his bare right wrist.

Can you do a scenario Obey Me were MC has a accidental nip slip that she doesnt notice, but the brothers do.
For the sake of an even playing field, all 7 boys will be reacting to the same scenario: coming to wake MC up in the morning for school only for their titty to be half out.
Lucifer
His knock was polite, but stern. Three short raps, followed by a long pause, before he let himself in. “[Y/N], I have to insist you get up now. You will be late for classes.”
You groan and cruel further into yourself under the covers. Trying to hold on to your sleep, but it was already slipping away through your fingers. With a huff you uncoil yourself and come out from under the covers. “Alright. I’m up.” You announce. Awake but still dreamy eyed as you rubbed the sleep from them.
When your eyes refocus, you see Lucifer staring at you. His face it’s normal placid expression, but definitely staring. “What’s wrong?” You ask. Was your hair some sort of crazy way?
The demon smirked and walked over to you. You blush as he came close to your bed and bent over, rebuttoning your pajama top that had come open in the middle of the night and left your left side exposed. How embarrassing?!
“Perhaps I should come wake you up more often.” He said with a sultry smirk. “Or at least not on a day when you have school. Now, I must insist you get ready. Our model exchange student can’t be late for their day.” He gave you a peck on the cheek and saw his way out. You have to wonder if he was really going to ‘wake you up’ on Saturday…..
Mammon
The loud sound of your door being flung open startled you from your sleep, and practically out of bed. “Hey, hey, hey! Time to get up sleepy head!”
“Mammon!” You growl from under the covers. “What the hell are you doing?!”
“I came to wake you up. Lucifer told me to make sure you’re ready for school. Even Belphie beat you downstairs. Come on. Chop chop!”
You groan and fling your covers off. Sitting up to scratch your head. Hopefully your day was more peaceful after this.
“[Y-Y-Y/N]! What the hell?!” You look over at the demon who had gone from horribly confident to horribly red & stammering in a matter of moments. “Do you always sleep like that?!”
You look down, trying to see what the big deal was, and realizing your chest was exposed. “N-No! It just came off in my sleep! Who are you to judge anyway?! You sleep naked!”
“Yeah! But not with anyone around!”
“You’re not supposed to be around!” You pick up a pillow and toss it at him, which he easily dodged, before shouting, “get out!” The demon did as he was told and scampered off, like a rabbit with his tail on fire.
He avoided you for the rest of the day. Making eye contact but fervently darting his gaze away. Mammon finally came up to you after dinner to apologize, and promised that if he had to wake you up again, he would knock first.
Levi
You were dreaming about pancakes when there was a knock at your door. Quiet, at first. Almost like someone’s knuckles barely touched the door. Then they knocked again, seeming to realize that the first few knocks were no good, knocking with confidence.
“[Y/N]-chan? Are you awake?” You open your eyes from your blanket nest to see Levi poking his head in. “It’s time for school.”
“Oh…yeah…” You yawn after that. Cutting off whatever else you were going to say after that. You shouldn’t have let Levi talk you into watching an anime marathon with him. You’d only gone to sleep a few hours ago. “What time is it?”
The demon looked down at his watch while you got out of bed, and when he looked up his face was completely red.
“[Y-Y-Y/N]! Y-Your….! Ah! I’m so sorry!!”
You blink in a start as Levi slammed the door as he ran away. You wonder what happened, but then catch sight of yourself in the mirror. Your top half exposed. You blush yourself at realizing why he had taken off, but get over the mortification quickly as you had to get ready for school.
Poor Levi couldn’t come near you for several days after that without turning beet red or becoming a stammering idiot. You have to assure him several times that it was really ok, and that your honor was intact, but he promised never to come get your up for school ever again.
Satan
There was a sharp rap at your door that awoke you from your slumber.
“[Y/N], are you awake?”
“Satan?” You question. Hearing his voice from the other side of the door. What was he doing here so early?
Seeming to sense your question, the fourth eldest brother replied in kind. “Lucifer sent me to get you. He was concerned you would be late for school since you weren’t down at breakfast yet. May I come in?”
You chuckle lightly at his polite request and tell him he could come in. Your arms stretching over your head as the door opened and the blonde walked in. “Ah good. You are awake. I was concerned that…uh….um….”
You blink curiously as Satan seemed to lose his train of thought. Unusual for him, as he was typically such a word smith, so you had to ask. “Satan? Is something wrong?”
“I ah…ahem!” The demon cleared his throat. Covering his face with his hand, hiding his blush, as he looked away. “I uh…apologize. I should have given you more time to get ready before I let myself in. Or at least properly dressed.”
Your brow furrowed and you look down to see your pajama top open and blush. Quickly closing it with an apology. “I’m so sorry!”
“It’s...quite alright. I’ll uh…ahem…leave you to get ready now that I know your awake. I’ll see you at school.”
The demon, who normally walked with such purpose and confidence, seemed to stumble in his walk out of your room. Seeming to want to stay, but fighting the urge and forcing himself to leave. Apparently after he had left, he’d gotten into a fight with Mammon and threw him into a wall. You suppose that energy had to go somewhere.
Asmo
A light, delicate rapping on your door woke you up from your peaceful dream about cupcakes and French lattes. The sound was whimsical. Almost like a bird. After that, the smell of roses filled the room as the door opened and the Avatar of Lust appeared.
“Gooood morning darling~!” Asmodeus cheered as he let himself in. Practically gliding across the room and perching himself on the edge of your bed. “Wake up sleeping beauty! Classes will be starting soon, and we don’t want to be late. You need to get up, so you can get ready and look your best.”
You groan softly, but come out from under the covers as requested. He was right. It was time to get ready.
“Aaahh~! [Y/N]! You naughty thing. Tempting me this early in the morning.” You blink the last big of sleep from your gaze, and look down to see where his was trained. You yip as you realize he was staring at your exposed breast, and smacked his hand away when it inched closer.
“Asmodeus!”
The androgenous demon giggled at your scolding, but pulled his hand away in surrender. “Sorry, sorry. I was only kidding.” You have to wonder if he was only ‘kidding’ now that he got rejected. “Let’s just keep this our little secret, ok? I don’t want my brothers getting super jealous about seeing our beautiful [Y/N] in their morning glory. They’ll be banging down the door every morning to get a peek.” Asmo then winked, leaning in to steal a quick peck on your cheek, before he jumped up. “I’ll be waiting for you downstairs~! Unless you need help getting ready. I have too good hands and a lot of enthusiasm for a chore like that.”
The demon giggled brightly all the way out of the room as your tossed pillows at him like rose petals to show him the door.
Beel
The knock on your door was loud, though you could tell not intentionally. It was more a factor of the large fist knocking on it, rather than the force, of the largest of the seven brothers coming to wake you.
“[Y/N]?” You heard Beel’s voice from under your blanket nest. Smiling soft at the gentle way he’d come to wake you up. He must have a lot of experience with Belphie. “Lucifer asked me to come get you up for school. I brought you some breakfast. I didn’t want you to miss out.” You hear what you assume is a tray being sat on your desk. “Some of it didn’t make it all the way here, but most of it did! I tried to keep your favorites safe for you. Mammon wanted the last Hellfire sausage, but I got it for you.”
Your soft smile increased as you pictured the bright, sun like smile on the gentle giants face. Proud of himself for getting it and keeping himself from eating it for you. “Thanks Beel,” you tell him. Coming out from under your covers to see that smiling face in person.
You see it for a moment before his face feel. His eyes averting away from you, and his cheeks turning around as red as his carrot top. “Uh..[Y/N]…your top is kind of falling off.”
You look down and gasp, quickly covering ourself up. “I’m sorry!!”
“That’s ok.” Beel said with a soft laugh. “It happens. Plus, you’ve seen me with my shirt off all the time. It’s not a big deal.”
“It’s not exactly the same….” You mutter quietly into your blanket.
Beel just laughed jovially again, and came over to pat your head. “Come on. Your breakfast is getting cold. I’ll leave so you can eat and get ready. Do you want me to walk you to first period when you’re done?” You nodded into your blankets this time. “Ok! I’ll meet you in the lobby when you’re done.”
With another big smile, your big guy left. Letting you change and enjoy your breakfast, with Hellfire sausage.
Belphie
“Oy…[Y/N]….wake up….”
“Mhmp….Belphie?” Your eyes crack open as he gently shook you. When had he come into your room? You hadn’t heard him knock, or even the door open. Had he just let himself in? “What are you doing here?”
“Stupid Lucifer told me to come get you up for school.” He told you. “I don’t know why. I’m not good at waking people up. I’m barely awake myself.” His statement was punctuated with a long yawn.
You sleepily chuckle and sit up. “Well, you are up. So you’re doing better than me.”
His droopy eyes were looking at you, or perhaps more specifically in your direction. He seemed to be looking at something totally other than your face, and you were about to ask him what when he said, “your boob is sticking out.” Pointing for affect.
You look down to where he was pointing and squeal. Closing your pajama top tight with both hands. “Belphegor! Don’t stare!”
“Why not? It’s nothing haven’t seen before. Remember when your top came off at the beach last summer?”
“That is not something I want to remember right now! And it is not the same! Get out!”
The Sloth demon picked at his ear in annoyance of your yelling, but gave a soft ‘yeah, yeah’ as he saw himself out. Mission accomplished.
He doesn’t seem to understand why you were annoyed with him for the rest of the day, but still made an effort to apologize after a while so you would talk to him again. Only he was allowed to do the silent treatment.

That prompt game: vert 16, 23, 27 and 35
Thanks anon!!! I love Vert and wow you picked some gooood prompts 🙏💦
HEADCANON PROMPT MEME:
16. Smile – okay let's get the obvious out of the way, vert wheeler has the best smile and we know this because we all have eyes that can see. he tries to be serious and stern when it's Leader Time but it's hard for him to hold that smile back when he's feelin' it. It’s really cute.
alright alright now when I saw this prompt, the first thing that popped into my head was this: vert smiling at his dad, a moment when you know his heart was hurting so bad but he still wanted to try to reassure jack that he would be okay, that they'd both be okay. Sometimes, things like saying goodbye... it's way too hard to talk about it or say it plainly out loud, but a smile can convey a lot of things, can be a small comfort. You can tell when vert's doing this - smiling for the sake of smiling, not because he's happy - because you can see it in his eyes. I'm sure he got used to seeing his mom smile at him when he caught her feeling down and overwhelmed after jack's disappearance. Just an automatic, learned reaction at this point; I could see vert being absolutely stressed beyond belief but if someone were to catch him off guard he'd probably flash them a smile while his eyes said "God please end me we are out of soda for the fifth time this week and it's only Tuesday."
People who can read vert well will know the difference in a heart beat, lol. And sometimes he's just not good at faking it at all. But he does try.
23. Romance – we all saw how he tried to hit on Grace, right? god. help this poor boy. Vert is so cute because he's so awkward. At least, with grace he was. I think it would be easier for him to make the transition from friend to significant other with someone he'd gone through life-or-death situations with, a close friend, someone he knows well and has gotten very used to. I think he just knew so little about Grace and psyched himself out badly, totally fumbled it.
That being said, I hope he's still awkward sometimes. I hope he still stumbles over his words and gets red and loses his train of thought when he looks into their eyes a little too long. It's just way too cute. I don't know what I'd do if vert were suave and cool with flirting.
As a partner, we already know that vert would be 100% there for his significant other just like he's there for his team. Vert tried to play the tough guy card in the beginning of the show by saying he didn't need a team, but he sure changed his tune fast once he had his new teammates in front of him. Vert is the kind of guy who loves fiercely and honestly and with his whole heart. Anyone would be really lucky to have him. 🥺 king
27. Sleep – vert's bedhead cracks me up and I didn't ever fully understand it until I started going to sleep with product in my short hair. I literally wake up with my hair going in twelve different directions and brother it is stuck like that until I wash it. Vert is clearly a morning shower-er. I imagine he's just so exhausted by the end of the day that he collapses into bed (probably facedown, let's be real) and zonks out until the morning. Hair askew. Pillow lines in his cheek. Feeling like he got hit by a truck. You know, that really deep sleep where your body wasn't quite sure if you were ever even gonna wake up again so it just didn't prepare itself in time when morning comes.
Then there's those nights where Vert just can't shut his brain off, so he lies awake and tosses and turns and gets frustrated as hell. When he was a kid who couldn't sleep, I headcanon that jack would take vert on late night car rides, listening to the radio until he passed out from the ride, where jack would then circle back to the house and carry him to bed. He hasn’t been able to do that for a long, long time, but it's probably not strange to catch Vert going out on his own for a drive, late at night, just him and the radio. It's different when your dad's not there to drive you, though.
35. Guilt – do you ever wonder if vert blames himself - even just partially - on his dad leaving? I mean, before he knew that jack didn't actually mean to abandon him like that. I think vert takes so much on and tries to carry everything and everyone on his shoulders. He is the leader. He has people who depend on him, a multiverse that is depending on him - and he's just 18. You already know that Vert takes every action - and its corresponding consequence - personally, as if he were the one who caused that wreck, or made that person get hurt, etc. He comes away from every single mission replaying it in his head whenever there's a call that was a bit too close, or a downright bad experience. How could he have done better? He failed his team just then, didn't he? Someone got hurt and maybe he could have prevented it. They were counting on him.
Vert needs time to decompress after missions. They're a lot. It's just a LOT, saving the multiverse. Keeping his home safe. Keeping his friends alive. And every single time something bad happens, Vert blames himself for it. Guilt would gnaw at him all day long if he didn't have his friends to pull him out of it. That, and the drive to keep on keepin' on, the type of resilience that puts vert back out there every single day until the job's done. I think it takes a special kind of strength to get back up every single time and I think Vert draws a lot of that strength from his love for his friends. And I think that’s pretty cool of him.

Nothing's More Important Than Quidditch
Fred Weasley x Reader
Warnings: Some Swearing. Highly Suggestive. Someone gets hurt.
This story is inspired from a request of my F.R.I.E.N.D.S Themed Prompt List.
Using Prompts two and three: "OH...MY...GOOOOD!"/"MY EYES! MY EEYEES!"
Tumblr media
Fred and George Weasley were men of simple tastes. They liked pranks, food and Quidditch. Though if you were to ask Fred he would argue that there were nothing more important than Quidditch.
He'd never missed a game. Never missed a practice, and had been able to afford it he'd never miss a Cup. So that being said, you can imagine how shocked his team were when he told them he wasn't feeling well enough to train tonight.
"You're dying aren't you?"
"What? No, Lee. I'm not dying!"
"Then I'm sorry I mustn't have heard right when, the Fredrick Gideon Weasley, just said he wasn't well enough to play Quidditch?"
"Piss off."
It was Sunday lunch in the Great Hall and Angelina had the whole Gryffindor team huddled together. She was discussing her newest game strategies when Fred spoke abruptly, all eyes bulging at his words. Expressions a mixture of confusion and concern. Fred never. Missed. A. Game.
"Hey!" [Y/N] had arrived and happily sat her self amongst her close group of friends. "What's with the faces?" Her brows furrowed as she filled a Goblet with her favourite drink.
"Fred says he's not training Tonight." Angelina answered, still gawking at the Redhead in question.
[Y/N] choked on her drink. "He's what!?" She coughed, hand on her chest in shock.
"It's not a big deal!" Fred groaned. "I've just got one cracker of a headache. Need to sleep it off and I'll be right as rain." He forced a smile, though to the group it appeared more as a painful grimace.
"Well, I do hope you feel better." [Y/N] leant over the table, placing her hand atop of his to offer some comfort with a reassuring smile. "What about the rest of you?" She straightened herself, taking a pastry from the bowl infront of them as she did so.
"We're still training" George replied, "Not all of us roll over because of a wittle headache" he pouted at his brother, trying to stir him up. Fred retaliated, through the light laughter of his friends, by throwing a bread roll at his brother.
"Coming to watch, [Y/N]?" George spoke, still laughing as he brushed crumbs from his clothes.
"Afraid I can't, tonight."
"What!?" Lee groaned, "come on! I'm going!"
"Yes, well as tempting as it may be to spend more time by your side Lee", she leant into him with doey eyes batting her eyelashes flirtatiously, hands cupping his bicep. Returning to her previous position she continued, "I have so much Homework to do it's not funny. I'll find myself joining the next Headless Hunt if I don't hand Snape his Most Potent Poisons Assessment tomorrow."
"Barrell of fun you two are, today" George rolled his eyes.
"Right, well the rest of you. We've got training to do!" Angelina stood, gesturing for the Quidditch team to follow. Somewhat begrudgingly, with various disapproving moans escaping their lips, they made for the Pitch.
"Positive you'll be okay, Freddie?" George lagged behind in a final ditch effort to convince his brother to join them. "You could always just watch from the stands."
"I'm positive, Georgie. I'm just not right at the moment."
"Do you want me to stay? I will if that's what you'd prefer..."
"Who are you? Mum now?" Fred joked "Get out of here you sap!" He waved his arm as if trying to shoo him from the hall.
"Don't worry, George. I'll look after him" [Y/N] assured.
"Such a faithful little bestie you are." He said while ruffling her hair. "Alright then, see you two in a couple hours" he waved to them as he ran to catch up with his team.
"Come on you. Let's get you to bed." [Y/N] spoke to Fred and they made their way to the common room.
---
So much for a couple hours. Mere forty minutes later saw the same team arriving back through the Fat Lady.
"How was I supposed to know she was right behind me!?" George complained loudly, followed closely into the room by the light giggles of Lee and Harry. No such laughter, however, could be heard from the mouth of the Gryffindor Captain.
"A concussion George! You gave Katie a concussion!" She was near shouting at the boy.
"I SAID I WAS SORRY! I didn't see her!" He threw his arms up in defence. "Pomfrey says she'll be right in a few days, what's the fuss?"
"The fuss, George, is that we just lost a whole night's training! You're just lucky our next game isn't for another fortnight, Weasley. I have to take Katie some things for her stay in the Hospital Wing, YOU! had better think fast about how to make this up to her." With a final menacing point of her finger Angelina stormed off towards the dormitory she shared with Katie.
"Should we check on Fred?" Lee spoke to break the guilty silence.
"Yeah, hey - don't forget to tell him how his Golden Boy brother sent our best chaser to the infirmary!" Harry goaded making his way over to Hermione and Ron by the fire.
"Little prat" George grumbled as he and Lee made their way to the dormitory. Lee was laughing hard at his friends remark."He doesn't watch it he won't be 'The Boy who lived' for much longer. Might pick up where You-Know-Who left off." George went on as he leant his back against the door, pushing it open as his hand twisted the door knob. Lee's laughter only increased.
"I'd like to see you- OH...MY...GOOOOD!!" laughter and smiles faded instantly as his eyes fell on the tangled mess of sheets and the bodies of his two close friends in place of where Fred should have been resting.
The sudden exclamations catching the attention of [Y/N] and Fred, their eyes shooting directly across the, should have been empty, bedroom.
"SHIT!" Fred yelled as he pulled off of [Y/N] and covered her with his blanket. "YOU WEREN'T MEANT TO BE BACK FOR A COUPLE HOURS!"
"MY EYES! MY EEYYEES!!" George screamed dramatically. Turning away from the scene he covered his face by his hands, desperately trying to lose the imagine of his brothers and best friends mostly naked bodies.
"It's not what you think!" [Y/N] began, throwing Fred's jumper on over her head which could very well have been a dress on her. She stood, tugging at the material willing it to stay in place before fixing her hair.
"It doesn't look like you were napping!" Lee snapped sarcastically, "nor does it look much like a POTIONS ASSIGNMENT!"
"[Y/N]" George began, not turning to face the two - rather speaking to the ceiling as his back faced them. "I know you said you'd look after my brother but MERLIN I should have laid out some guidelines, that is not how you handle a headache."
Fred had put on a pair of trousers and a singlet and quickly made his way to stand infront of the two boys, arms out pleadingly, "I know you're both a little shocked right now and this is going to take some time to process but for the love of GODRICK!" He clenched his teeth and spoke in a low growl, "would you keep your voices down before the entire bloody common room hears yo-"
"WHAT'S GOING ON!?" Ron had burst through the door. "Oh God" Fred groaned throwing his head back walking away from the door.
"We heard shouting, is everything okay?" Hermione asked frantic, as Harry followed her in.
"Yes, Hermione everything's fine -" [Y/N] went to explain.
"NO!" Lee interrupted "NO! THEY'RE DOING IT!" He screamed pointing his finger accusingly at the two red-faced teens. Harrys eyes were wide with shock.
"It's not what you all think! Please just listen to me..." Fred begged as [Y/N] stood beside him. Looking to one another defeatedly.
Everyone, aside from George, turned to face them. Awaiting the explanation as to why these two had been...doing what they were.
"Uhmmm..." seeing the group stare before him suddenly ran Freds mind blank. "This isn't the first time this has happened. Actually it happens a lot." Not the best opener. The group grimaced, looking very uncomfortable at their friends confession. [Y/N] dropped her head into her hand. "What I mean is" he tried to recover, "this isn't a one time deal. We're not just fooling around, we're..." the words caught in his throat.
What were they? A couple? Was he wrong and they were just friends with benefits? What was this?
They looked at one another, Fred's eyes searching [Y/N]'s face for the answer. She smiled, grabbing his hand gently.
"We're together" she spoke. Eyes not leaving Fred.
"That's great and all. But this is still traumatising." Lee deadpanned as he gestured between the couple and Fred's bed.
George cleared his throat, "umm, yeah. I'm really happy for you two."
"That'd be more convincing, had you actually said it to us rather than the wall." [Y/N] laughed. Fred threw his arm over her shoulders, pulling her into his chest. Georges head turned slightly, eyeing the two in his peripheral before shutting his eyes tightly. Trying to muster the courage. "Yeah, sorry bout that just...it may be difficult to look at you the same for a while. I saw a lot more than I'd had like to." Everyone laughed at the comment. The light atmosphere helping him to relax a bit he turned to face them. Even if his eyes fixed to anything but them.
"Wait a minute." Harrys laughter had stopped completely. "Did you two plan this whole thing?"
"I guarantee we never planned on getting caught" Fred replied.
Rolling his eyes Harry continued "ditching practice I mean."
Lee and George both looked at each other before slowly turning to glare at the couple.
"Well. Yeah" [Y/N] answered.
A slow clap started to sound throughout the room as Lee and George mockingly applauded the two. "Well done. Truly you two that was quite the convincing performance." George smirked. "Honestly, [Y/N], that spit take really sold the whole thing. Couldn't have done better myself." Lee nodded as she playfully curtsied with her hand on the seam of Fred's jumper.
"WELL!" Lee clapped once loudly, rubbing his hands together. "This calls for a celebration. Shall we?" He bowed to the door, ushering everyone from the room.
"Ummm Lee. Mind if I put some pants on first?"
"If you-OH! right. Yeah. Meet you two down there!" He was the last to leave, closing the door with a quick wink.
Fred and [Y/N] looked shyly back to one another before breaking into fits of side splitting laughter. Fred wrapping his arms around her waist as they calmed down.
"So...we're together, huh?" He grinned resting their foreheads against one another.
"Only if that's what you want." [Y/N] placed her hands on his chest, eyes nervously searching his.
"That's all I've ever wanted" he moved a hand to the back of her neck, pulling her lips into his. Kissing her like he never had before.
Fred and George Weasley were simple men. They liked pranks, food and Quidditch. Though if you were to ask Fred, he would argue there were nothing more important than Quidditch. Well...maybe one thing.

KNIFE TO MEET YOU
An undertale fanfic
Chapter 2: Late Night struggles
Summary: After the incident, you and sans try to get a good night's sleep. However, things never go as planned when sans is (Inspired by @/whyiswingdingsafont)
Word count: 866
Categories: Hurt/Comfort, suggestive, humor, fluff
You wrapped yourself around sans, nuzzling the back of his neck lovingly. You'd been failing to sleep for a while, but now you finally felt yourself falling asleep. But then, you could've sworn you heard something. Then you hear it again. It sounded a little high-pitched, but quiet. There is it again. What could it be? You sit up just enough to get a better look at your bonefriend, and you realise that he's what's causing the noise. What could be going on?
As you listen closer, you realise he's whimpering, he looks scared, despite being asleep. This was nothing like his normal nightmares, so you were on edge. You slowly rub your hand up and down his arm in an attempt to soothe him. Pulling him closer, you whisper sweet nothings.
You hear him wake from his slumber, but only a little. He curls up into a ball, snuggling closer to you. As you continue to spoon him, a small whimper escapes his mouth again. "p...please..." he mutters. You hold him close, as his nightmare seems to get worse. You pause for a moment, wondering if you should wake him up before it gets too bad...
but he suddenly jolts up, as tears come to his eyes. "don't hurt them too!" he yells. "Honey...?" You whisper, concerned. Sans turns around, and when he sees you, he tries laughing it off. "heheh... just a bit of a bad dream, sorry if i scared-" But you weren't having any of that. You pulled him close, carresing his back with one hand, and wiping his tears with your other.
You spoke. "Honey, please don't laugh this off... If you need a shoulder to cry on, I'm here." Sans nuzzled into your shoulder. "h-hey here, i'm sans" he chuckled at his own joke. "Sans, I'm being serious, I wanna help you..." Sans chuckles again and looks at you. "Stars, you're amazing. I'd be pretty bone-ly without ya'." You can't help but laugh at that one.
"Sans?" "yeah, sunshine?" You think, before speaking again. "Was the nightmare about... what happened?" Sans looks off, before snuggling into you more, resting his chin on your shoulder. "yeah. i think so, at least." You rest your hand on the wound that was barely starting to heal up, but take it off a moment after. Sans continues "don't worry. i'm fine now." "Do you wanna talk about it?" You asked. "nah, not really." He responded, lazily.
Suddenly, a 'bad' idea enters your head. "Hey, sans?" "mhm?" You pull sans back a bit, and kiss him. Sadly, the kiss is a tiny bit one-sided, on account of sans not having lips. But kissing his teeth is a good substitute nonetheless. You back out of the kiss for a moment, and see sans blushing so hard he glows. Literally. Between his eyelights and his blush, he's basically a lamp. Oh stars, he looks so cute like this; you can't help but freeze up.
Sans, like the cheeky little skeleton he is, decides to take this opportunity to get you right back; so he kisses you right back! Well, I say kiss, but like before, sans still doesn't have lips, so he has to settle for pressing his teeth agsinst your lips. This gets a pretty good blush out of you, but you push back, pinning him onto the bed with a smirk creeping scross your face. "heh, wow, i gotta be honest here; i was NOT expectin' that." You laugh a bit. "I know, right? I'm FULL of suprises." For a moment, you both forget the events that lead you both here.
...Until the sharp pain in your side kicks in. You wince a little. sans notices. "woah woah woah, are you okay?" "Y-yeah... I think that little scratch is acting up again..." sans snorts a little. "pfft... 'little scratch'?" You expertly roll back onto your side, next to sans. "'Tis but a scratch~" Sans laughs it off "heheheh. want me to grab you some painkillers?" You smile sweetly "Yes please." Sans stands up and goes to get the pankillers. While he goes downstairs, you notice the pain steadily getting worse and worse. "Listen here you dramatic lil' butthead. I know we got stabbed, but i think you're being a little extra."
Sans walks back in through the door, medicine bottle in hand. You sigh with relief "Perfect timing, baby. Now gimme the bottle so i can down the whole thing." Sans laughs. "i'm not sure that's the best idea. That maybe painful, but if we want the medicine cabinet to stay painFULL, then maybe you shouldn't." You jokingly grumble "c'mon bb gimme the gooood shit~" "babe no" "Babe YESSS-" you are suddenly reminded of the sharp pain in your side.
"in all seriousness babe, it says you're only meant to have like, 3 at most." He sits next to you and hands you the bottle. You take three lime-flavored pills ans eat them, before handing the bottle back to sans. "Thanks a lot." "no problem, babe." Sans nuzzles into your shoulder. "now, how about we actually sleep?" You sigh playfully
"Alright, fine." You pull sans on top of you and you both soon fall asleep.
[I probably made this one way too long, but eh, who cares?]

The occasional sound of sipping and very frequent sounds of munching filled the large dining room. All 6 Avatars were sitting at the dining table, minus you. You headed to your room and skipped dinner mainly because there was a test you had to study for in one of your classes at RAD. Beelzebub didn’t want you to go hungry, so he offered you some of his food but you declined. He shrugged it off and continued eating happily. That just meant more for him.
It was silent. Weirdly silent. Asmodeus’ fingers drummed against the clothed table, his coral colored eyes scanning the room. Everyone was eating peacefully, silently.
“It’s too quiet..” He whined to himself, poking at his food with his fork. His eyebrows were scrunched together with his bottom lip slightly poked out in a pout. “I wish Y/n was here..”
“Oh yeah!” Mammon suddenly shouted, causing everyone at the table (minus Lucifer and Beelzebub, who both totally tuned Mammon out) to flinch at his sudden movement. His hands crashed against his table and a large grin spread across his face. Asmodeus perked up a little bit at the commotion.
“Mammon, what is it now?” Satan sighed, bringing his glass to his lips and taking a long sip from it.
Mammon stood up proudly and pressed his thumb into his chest, his chin up and his smirk never falling.
“I made a bet with Lucifer!”
Satan started choking on his drink. Beelzebub paused for only a moment to look up at Mammon with his eyebrows raised, shook his head, then continued eating without a word. Leviathan rolled his eyes and pushed his plate over to Beelzebub who gratefully took it and added it onto the mountain on his plate.
“Liar,” Levi said, taking his cellphone out of his pocket to open an bishojo game he found earlier.
Mammon shot a glare at him. “But I’m not! Look, you can ask him yourself!”
“Right, like Lucifer would make a bet with you of all demons,” Satan shook his head and cleared his throat, putting down his fork and wiping his mouth with a napkin.
A bet with Lucifer was something that pretty much never happened. Lucifer would rather not waste his time on such a trivial thing, and definitely not his money either. How did Mammon manage to do that though?
Lucifer sighed, and everyone’s attention went over to him. Expecting eyes lingered on him, as he pinched the bridge of his nose. A visible vein popped up on his temple.
“Yes, I made a bet with him,” Lucifer started and he could hear their jaws drop. He brought his hand down from his face and glared at Mammon. He sat down in his seat after a cold sweat washed over him.
“However,” He continued, “No one will know what it’s about.”
“Aww, c’mon Lucifer!” Asmodeus propped his arm up on the table and leaned his cheek into his hand. “Why cant you tell us? We’re your brothers after all,” He smiled at him.
Lucifer picked up his fork and carried some food into his mouth, chewing and swallowing before speaking up again. “And I cant trust any of you. Maybe Beelzebub.”
“Ouch,” Asmodeus frowned playfully and stood up in his seat. “Well I’m heading to bed, goodnight!”
Most of the brothers just waved goodbye, but Lucifer and Leviathan who both said “Night” or “Goodnight”.
~
When you woke up the next morning, you werent surprised to see Mammon there already. He was sitting on the edge of the bed and it looked like he was dozing off.
You laughed lightly and sat up. He flinched when he heard your giggle, but relaxed when he realized it was just you. “How long have you been sitting there, Mammie?” You yawned and stood up, stretching your arms high above your head.
Mammon’s face tinted a light shade of red as he watched your nightgown ride up your thigh just a bit. He snapped out of it when he heard your question. “Good, you’re awake! Finally! Do you have any idea how long you kept me waiting!?” He huffed and watched as you went over to your closet and tossed the multiple garments that made up your school uniform onto the bed.
“Sorry to keep you waiting,” You picked out a white bra and a matching white panties and tossed them onto the bed as well. Mammon couldn’t seem to tear his eyes away from the undergarments. “So, you’ve been watching me sleep for a while now then?”
“Eh? No!— I just—“ His face lit up with a red hue and it didnt help when you looked back at him out of the corner of your eye.
“Whatever! Just— hurry up so we can get to breakfast,” He turned away sharply from your gaze, standing up from the bed and heading for the door. Mammon heard you hum in reply. “Okay, I’ll be down there in a few.”
Before leaving your room completely, he paused and bit his lip. “I uh.. I also packed up your stuff for you. You looked exhausted, so..”
You turned your face to him and put on a warm, closed eye smile. Just when he thought his face was calm it warmed right up again. “Thanks Mammie. I appreciate it, a lot.”
He huffed and opened the door. “Pshh, yeah! You better!”
~
At the breakfast table, it was weirdly silent. It seemed as thought Lucifer and Mammon were silently communicating with each other, but to you, it just looked like they were glaring at each other.
You bounced a bit in your seat, the tips your feet just grazing the carpeted floor. You ate with a small smile and short hums between chews. You swallowed your food and stood up.
“I’m finished!” You said, even though there was a bit of food left. Before you could even ask if Beelzebub wanted it he took your plate from your hands and dumped it onto his. He muttered something along the lines of “No food should go to waste”.
“I’m gonna head to class early. I still have some books in my room to get. Mammie, are you coming?” You bent over slightly and picked up your bookbag, slinging it over your shoulder. You flattened out and wrinkles in your skirt and waited for his answer.
“Huh?” He said, half of his spoon already in his mouth. “Oh, y-“
Lucifer stood up abruptly and picked up his plate. “Mammon is still eating his breakfast, Y/n. I’m sure he would like to finish it,” He walked over to the kitchen and a couple clinks were heard, then water running. Lucifer came back out.
“I’ll help you with your books. Is that alright with you?” He asked, his eyes shifting over to Mammon for a moment. Mammon was holding his fork so tightly that his knuckles were turning ghostly white. The smallest grin showed up on Lucifer’s features and he directed his gaze back to you.
“Oh, sure,” You hummed, starting to walk to your bedroom. But before you could even walk two feet away from your chair, Mammon stood up.
“Actually, I’m quite full thank you very much!” He hissed at Lucifer and he rolled his eyes.
“I can carry your bag for you, Y/n!” He rushed behind you and before you could object he slipped the strap off of your shoulder and swung it over his own. You blinked in surprise.
“Ah, thanks Mammie..” You shrugged it off and started walking to your room. That wasnt the first time Mammon would randomly do something for you, so you didnt pay any attention to it. You were also oblivious to the two demons sending death stares at each other behind you.
~
The entire day at school, Mammon and Lucifer followed you around like puppies. Lucifer would always offer to carry your stuff and you couldn’t say no to him.
Mammon would just take it from you and say “You should be honored that The Great MAMMON has decided to help you, a lowly human, with your things! Be grateful!”.
For some reason though, you had this weird feeling that there was something behind this. The two oldest, two of the most powerful demons out of everyone in Devildom randomly decided to help you with everyday tasks? Maybe you expected it from Mammon, but Lucifer? Something was up. But still, you brushed it off and only thought of it as friendliness.
Just before dinner, you announced that you would be eating your food in your room.
“Huh!? Why!?” Mammon shouted, already at your side. You looked up at him and laughed softly.
“Stop shouting. I really wanna watch this movie that I got off of Azukon a couple weeks back, but I could never find the time,” You sighed sadly, then replaced your frown with a smile and looked past Mammon’s body to talk to the oldest.
“Lucifer, do you want to watch it with me?”
Mammon’s jaw dropped and he immediately moved himself so that he was within your vision range. “What!? Why not me!?”
“Oh please, you always help me out with my stuff! Lucifer never does, so I wanna repay him by spending some time with him! Is that so wrong?” You stood up straight again and tried to move past Mammon, but he just stepped in the same direction that you tried to go in every time. You groaned and looked up at him.
Mammon huffed and crossed his arms. “Yeah! I was doing a little extra today too! I..I thought you’d notice..” He pouted a bit and looked off to the side.
You sighed and brought your hand up to ruffle his hair. “Hey!-“
“Fine. You can watch it too, okay? You’re so needy.”
“I am not! If anything, you’re the needy one! You needed my help all day just for a couple of books!”
“I never asked for anyone’s help, but okay Mammie,” You chuckled and shook your head, walking past him as he tripped over his words to think of a retort. He followed behind you once he noticed you were gone.
You approached Lucifer with a smile, and he returned a small one. “So, do you want to watch it with me? You’ll have to eat in my room though,” You held your hands behind your back and fiddled with your fingers a bit.
“Sure. It sounds enjoyable. What movie is it?” He hummed, watching Mammon’s expression get increasingly more irritated.
“It’s this movie called ‘Me and my brother both love this one girl and are both battling for her affection by doing small acts of kindness, but she’s so dense that she doesnt even realize!’! The reviews were really good so, I bought it!”
Lucifer and Mammon both blinked, then glanced at each other, then back to you. You still had a giant smile on.
Lucifer cleared his throat. “Ah..sure.. It sounds very familiar though. Maybe I have watched it.”
“Nope, It’s pretty new. I doubt you’ve watched it,” You hummed, walking past both of them and heading for your bedroom.
“Cmon! I already have it ready to watch. Let’s go!”

Developments & Discoveries
A JSE Fanfic
Alright guys, this are a lot of different scenes in this story, but they really just follow a few “storylines.” But big things happen. First, Chase finds out some good news. Laurens and Schneep talk again, yay! And we learn more about our antagonist, Anti. The fic itself isn’t any longer than my usual ones, but there’s a lot packed in here. Guess I was excited to return to this world, haha. Enjoy, guys :)
You can find the other stories under the pw timeline tag!
Chase woke up at two in the afternoon. Well technically, he was awake at twelve, but lied in bed for another couple hours before actually getting up. “Oh my gooood.” He squeezed his eyes shut and covered them with his hands. Why couldn’t he get up at a normal time lately? At least today he had an excuse because he had the kids over yesterday. Saturdays to Mondays, that was the agreement. And Stacy wasn’t ready to renegotiate it.
They’d talked about that last night, when she came to pick them up. “Chase, I know this isn’t...ideal,” she said in a low voice. “But look around. Your fridge is empty, things are scattered around the house in a mess, and, please correct me if I’m wrong, but I...haven’t heard anything about a job or anything.” She sighed. “It’s not even really up to me, you know. Courts.”
“No, no, I get it,” Chase had replied. “It makes sense.”
“We can work things out once things are more settled.”
Well, now he was lying in bed and feeling bad, which was a step down from lying in a bed feeling tired, so he decided to get up and shower. It had been a while since that happened, and he couldn’t go to his one outing he’d planned today like that. He rolled out of bed, took a quick shower, ate a Pop-Tart for breakfast, and he felt a little better.
It really did make sense to have the kids spend most of their time with their mom. Chase knew he hadn’t exactly been...kept-together recently. And by “recently,” he meant for about the past two years. Sophie and Nick needed a parent who could actually put energy into raising them. He could do that, eventually. If he worked on it. “Positive thoughts, Chasey boy,” he said under his breath. “Be optimistic.”
Okay, that was enough of that for now. He had something to do. But before he did that, he checked his phone for any texts. Marvin sent a video of Luna and Ragamuffin being cute, that was nice. Nothing else. Alright, no more stalling. He grabbed his jacket and cap and headed out to the car.
——————
He stepped into the hospital just as visiting hours were starting. By now he had hospital check-in routines down to muscle memory. He was signing his name on the check-in clipboard when he was interrupted by a loud voice: “Ah, Mr. Brody! Good to see you again.”
Chase jumped a bit, then turned around. “Oh. Hi, Dr. Emerson.”
The doctor was a tall man with a thick beard. Chase had always thought he looked more like a Viking than one of the city’s best...well, he couldn’t remember what exact field the doctor was a specialist in, all he knew was it had something to do with whatever had gone wrong with Jack. Brains or nerves or something. “So soon, huh?” Dr. Emerson said, chuckling. “No, I understand.”
“Uhhh...” Was Chase missing something? The last time he’d been here was two weeks ago. “O...kay?”
“Well, don’t show too much enthusiasm.” Dr. Emerson raised an eyebrow. “Are you still confused, then?”
“Confused about wh—I mean I am confused, because I don’t know what to be confused about.” That was starting to sound less and less like a word.
“Ah.” Emerson’s smile faltered. “Do you not remember what I told you yesterday?”
“I wasn’t here yesterday,” Chase said, his voice slowly rising as nerves creeped up on him. “What are you talking about?”
Now Emerson looked as baffled as Chase felt. “I...think there’s been some misunderstanding here.”
“Y’know, I’m gonna, uh, go to Jack’s room.” Chase started walking away, down the hall towards the ICU wing. “You can, uh, come with me and tell me what happened yesterday while we go.”
Emerson followed. As the two of them waited at the elevator, he started explaining. “Well, about this time yesterday, you walked in, checked in just like you did, and went up to the room.” The elevator arrived with a ding, and the two of them stepped inside. Chase pressed the button for the third floor and listened as the doctor continued. “Of course, I only assume this part, since you wrote your name on the visitor’s slip. I was already in the room, and that’s when I told you about the change in Jack’s condition—”
“I’m sorry, what?!” Chase shouted.
“My god, man, you can be loud when you want,” Emerson said, taking a step away. “Anyway, yes, his GCS score went up.”
“I...don’t know what that means,” Chase said, staring at him in shock. The elevator dinged again, but he didn’t even step out.
“That’s what you said yesterday,” Emerson said. He made an ‘after you’ gesture, and Chase finally stepped out, now following Emerson as he walked down a familiar hallway. “Then you said you would look it up later, and I left you with Jack.”
“None of this happened,” Chase said, clenching his shaking hands into fists. “This did not happen, I-I was busy all day yesterday.”
“Well, could it have been one of your friends?” Emerson asked. “You do all look similar, don’t you? Though I don’t understand why he’d pretend to be you.”
Chase fell silent. He knew that neither Marvin or JJ would do something like that. But there was someone who might. Anti. In fact, hadn’t Anti done the same thing once before? Pretended to be Marvin visiting the hospital? But why? Jack didn’t have anything to do with any of this. He had no idea what Anti was planning, and that led his mind to the worst case scenarios.
They arrived at Room 309, and Chase reached forward to open the door. “Oh wait,” Dr. Emerson interrupted, placing a hand on the door. “I should probably tell you about the changes. I would have yesterday, but you—or, er, your friend saw first.”
“Okay, so what are theys?” Chase asked. “These changes. What’s a GCS? Is that some sort of fancy brain wave or something?”
Emerson chuckled. “No, it’s not actually anything in the body. GCS stands for Glasgow Coma Scale, it’s a way to describe someone’s level of consciousness after brain trauma. I suppose I’ve been so used to talking about it with others in the department that I forgot I had to explain it.”
“Yes, that would be appreciated,” Chase prompted.
“Well, the GCS measures three factors: eye opening, verbal response, and motor response. Each of these are measured on a scale, and when combined there’s a highest possible score of 15. Mr. McLoughlin’s has recently raised from the lowest possible score, three, to a five.”
“And that’s good,” Chase clarified.
“Yes, it is very good.” Emerson smiled. “I’ll be honest with you, Chase, it’s been over a year, and things weren’t looking good for Jack’s recovery. This is a huge development.”
Chase nodded. “R...right.” He grabbed the doorknob and swung it open, stepping inside.
The room looked the same as ever. Jack looked the same as ever. Chase hesitated, then walked up next to the bed. And then the difference was clear. At the sound of approaching footsteps, Jack opened his eyes.
Chase had to stop and process what he was looking at. His eyes were open. He was looking at him. “I...oh my god.” He covered his mouth with his hand. “Oh my god, Jack?”
“He can’t respond, Chase.” Emerson walked up next to him. “He hasn’t reacted to anything verbally or through motion. Just the eyes, and it’s not spontaneous. Only to sound.”
“Oh.” Chase nodded, slowly lowering his hand. “Can he hear us?”
“Well, we have no way of knowing,” Emerson explained. “It could only be an automatic response, he could be hearing us but not comprehending what we say, or he could be listening to everything.” He paused. “You understand that a GCS score of five is still very low, yes? Anything below an eight is still considered to be a coma.”
“Right...” Chase took another step closer, reaching down to touch Jack’s hand. Still, it was an improvement, and at this point, he’d take any sign of change for the better. It had been so long since he last saw his friend smile...talked to him...perhaps eventually, he’d be able to do that again. But as the hopeful thought arose, it was brought back down by a sinking feeling. He looked over at Emerson. “Hey doc, this is important. I didn’t come to visit yesterday. My friends didn’t either. There’s...” he hesitated. “There’s someone else. He’s been following us, a-and I don’t know what he wants, but it’s most likely not...good.”
Emerson turned pale. “Are you sure about this?”
“Yeah, the police know about this guy.” Even though he hadn’t told them that he thought Anti was stalking them...well, at least they knew he existed. He wasn’t sure if he should tell them, after all, he didn’t have much proof. “So you have to be careful, okay? I-I’ll tell my friends, we need to find a way for you to make sure it’s us and not him...” He looked back down at Jack. Nobody was more vulnerable than someone in a coma.
“I’ll wait outside, we can discuss this later,” Emerson said. “After you’re done here.”
Chase nodded. Emerson left, footsteps retreating, and Chase didn’t turn around as he heard the door shut. He squeezed Jack’s hand tighter. “Sorry you got caught up in this,” he muttered. “I don’t know what he’d want from you. I mean, Anti popped up in our lives after you went through all this. Or, well, JJ knew him.” He pulls over the chair, sitting down. “Yeah, uh, this Anti guy. He’s bad news. He kidnapped Schneep, and like...all those bad things I told you about, that he was accused of, it was actually Anti, and Schneep got framed. I guess it’s easy to scapegoat a guy who can’t even confirm he really saw you.” He paused. “He’s got Jackie too. The police are looking for him, so I guess there’s a better chance of finding Jackie now that they know where he is. Also. The craziest thing about this is that Anti is JJ’s brother.” He laughed dryly. “God, what a coincidence, huh? Maybe fate does exist. And it’s a dick.”
He goes quiet, watching Jack. After a few minutes of silence, his eyes started to close. “Y’know I really do hope you can hear me, and you’re listening,” Chase said. Jack’s eyes automatically opened wide again. “Because then you could tell us what Anti was doing here yesterday. It would be...I guess it would make me feel a bit better, to at least know.” He took a deep breath. “But you know what? It’s gonna be okay. Eventually. It might take a while, and I’ll be honest, right now is kind of sucky, but it’s gonna get better eventually. Y’know what you used to say, positive mental attitude. The viewers are really liking that, by the way. They still miss you, of course, but I’m keeping on. But on the track of positivity, at least Schneep’s first doctor is back, so he’ll be okay, I think. Marvin’s doing good, too. JJ...well, he was freaking out a bit, about Anti...I don’t want to make assumptions, but at best, they didn’t get along, and now he’s here, so it would freak anyone out. But he’s doing a bit better, I think. Yeah. It’s all getting better. Slowly.” He blinked furiously. “For everyone else. That...that’s great.”
For a moment, he thinks he feels Jack’s fingers move. Not like they were squeezing his hand, but a movement nonetheless. He looks down, surprised, but he doesn’t think anything’s changed. Maybe he imagined it. But in any case...“Hah. Y’know I can practically hear you giving me a lecture on self-care. Yeah, I’m trying, bro. Still in a bit of a gray spot. I really am happy that everyone else is doing good, it just kinda sucks when you’re in that gray spot, you know? But I am great and I’ll get through it. Yeah.” He didn’t really believe that, but Marvin had told him that saying positive things about yourself was the first step to believing them. “I just...miss you, Jack. Don’t want anything to happen to you.”
For the rest of the visit, he goes quiet, watching the heart monitor rise and fall. Things were crazy, but it would be fine. It would be.
——————
Dr. Laurens had rescheduled her sessions to be later in the day. Because quite frankly, she wanted to sleep in. And judging by the records Newson had left, the past sessions had gone all over the place in terms of what time they took place, so it wasn’t like she was interrupting a schedule. It was shortly before five o’clock when she met up with Oliver and they headed to Room 1010.
When Laurens opened the door, she saw Schneep was standing up and pacing the length of the back wall. Oliver handed her the paper cup with the medication inside, then went over to stand in the corner and try to attract as little attention as was possible for someone over six feet tall. Laurens nodded encouragingly, and walked forward. “Schneep?” She said, putting a confident tone in her voice. “Are you ready?”
Schneep jumped, and whirled around. Wariness faded away to happiness. “So it is you,” he said. “You are back. Unless this is not real too...”
“No, it’s real,” Laurens said, smiling. “I’m back. Dr. Newson won’t be handling your case anymore.” She’d actually briefly passed Newson when coming in, but hadn’t really stopped to chat. Newson briefly mentioned having an appointment with her lawyer after leaving, but Laurens hadn’t pushed. She already knew about the lawsuit anyway.
“Oh thank god,” Schneep said, relieved. “She was not...helpful.”
“That is the least you could say,” Laurens muttered. “Anyway, before we get started, I need you to...well, there’s this.” She set the paper cup down on the table.
Schneep paled, backing up. “No no no no, I have a clear head, I have energy, I will not—”
“There are no sedatives in this,” Laurens hurried to say. “I promise.” It was messed up that she had to clarify that. “It shouldn’t have that effect, and if it does, please let me know so that I can change it.” Schneep didn’t move any closer. “Dr. Newson had you taking an improper medication with much too high a dosage, so you’ll have to slowly ease off it and onto a medication that should be better.”
Schneep hesitated for a moment longer before stepping forward, picking up the paper cup, and swallowing the pill inside in one gulp. “If this is not...” He trailed off.
“It’ll be fine,” Laurens said reassuringly. “If it isn’t, you have to tell me so I can fix it, okay. Now.” She sat down on the room’s chair. “I think it’s important to give you an update.” She waited for Schneep to sit on the bed before continuing. “So, it appears as though I’ve been misunderstanding your condition. In that you actually have two of them.”
“Oh?” Schneep blinked, genuinely surprised.
“Yes.” Laurens automatically reached for her journal, before remembering that she’d given it to Oliver. He’d told her yesterday that he gave it to Schneep’s friend Chase, and she had yet to ask him for it back. She was now working with some loose sheets of paper, which she spread on the table. “You are aware of your schizoaffective disorder, but now that I know more about what’s happened to you, I believe you also have some post-traumatic stress disorder.”
Schneep paused. “Ah.”
She waited for a stronger reaction, but didn't receive one. “Yes. So that will change our approach from now on.”
“Alright,” Schneep said slowly. “Is there medication for it?”
“We’re still focusing on getting you off the last one,” Laurens explained. “But perhaps I could give you some anti—” Schneep flinched “—anxiety medication later. But it can’t be treated solely with that. You understand that, right?”
Schneep nodded slowly. “What happened to your arm?”
“A-ah...well...” Laurens hesitated. “Obviously I broke it. Dislocated my wrist, too.”
“How?”
“Well...” Laurens hesitated. She didn’t know what effect it would have on Schneep if he knew everything that happened with her and Anti and Jackie. The last thing she wanted right now was to upset him. And besides, she didn’t really want to talk about it anyway. “I’ll tell you some other time, okay? For now, I want to focus on you.” She shuffled her papers. “Schneep...there’s no way to ease into this that won’t alarm you, so I’m just going to say it. Do you know Anti?”
The effect was immediate. Schneep jumped, scooting backwards on the bed. “Do not say the name!”
“Why not?” Laurens asked. “You told me once that this would give him power, right? That giving him attention would make him stronger?”
Schneep nodded, looking significantly paler.
“Well, here’s where things are difficult, Schneep,” she said patiently. “I believe that he’s a major source of trauma for you.” Because why wouldn’t he be? Laurens remembered all the things Jackie had told her about what happened to the two of them, and that would give anyone trauma. “And we need to work that out, yeah? But we can’t do that if we can’t talk about him. So. Here’s what I’m thinking. We’ll be as indirect as possible. I’ll ask you about him, and you can give answers that are as short or as long as you see fit. If at any moment you feel like we are getting...you know, too close to giving him influence, tell me and we will stop. Does that work?”
He didn’t answer for a long time, shaking slightly, eyes darting around as if looking for something. Then he nodded slowly.
“Great.” Again, Laurens wished she had her journal full of notes. It would be a lot easier to reference past events. But she was stuck with this. “Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think you said before that An—sorry, that he makes you hurt people. Am I right?”
Schneep nodded, starting to rock softly.
That made sense with what she knew. “Does he physically take control of you? How does this happen?”
“He...” Schneep’s voice cracked. “He puts...th-thoughts in my head...a-and makes me want...to...”
And that sounded familiar. Laurens made a note of that. “So...you have thoughts about wanting to hurt people, and this is caused by him?” This sounded like some form of intrusive or otherwise unwanted thoughts, and combined with his hallucinations and delusions, he believed Anti to be behind them.
Schneep nodded. “O-or he...he would say—tell me to do something horrible, and if I did—did not do it, he would do so-something worse.”
“But you clearly don’t want to hurt anyone, right?” Laurens asked.
“No!” Schneep protested. “I never—never! I-I may be angry with some people, maybe fight, but the th-things he makes me—” He buried his head in folded arms, taking deep breaths.
“Do you want us to stop?” Laurens asked gently.
He nodded without looking up.
“Schneep.” Laurens leaned forward. She waited until he looked at her before continuing. “You know this is not your fault, right? You’ve said that to me before. Any thoughts, any actions you may have done, it is not your fault.”
“I know that,” Schneep sounded a bit irritated. “I know that, i-it is him, I just—I still worry, I still...feel...”
“I know,” Laurens said softly. “Which is why I’m going to try to give you some ways to deal with this, okay? Some ways to cope.”
“That would be...appreciated,” he muttered.
“Good. Let’s begin.” This would be a good starting point, but that’s what it was, a starting point. Laurens could already see a long path ahead. The main problem here being that Anti wasn’t actually making any of these thoughts appear in Schneep’s head. But that had to come later down the road. There was still a lot to do before that.
——————
“Hey. Wake up.”
Jackie felt something kick his side and he winced, opening his eyes. Anti was standing in front of him, looking down. He stared up at him, tensed, waiting.
“Good,” Anti nodded. “It’s time to eat. Sit up straight.”
Jackie hurried to sit up, the movement making his spine crack. He’d taken to slouching, which probably wasn’t good for his posture when he was tied to a table leg.
Anti huffed, a bit impatient. He kneeled down next to Jackie, reaching around behind him. Jackie stiffened, very deliberately not moving even as he felt the handcuffs unlock. He’d tried to run once before. Schneep had encouraged it, almost demanded that Jackie get out even if it meant leaving him behind. He hadn’t liked it, but he’d listened. And he’d almost made it out of the house. But Anti caught him right at the end, and he hadn’t been happy. Jackie was pretty sure he had some burn scars on his arm from that day. And now, in such close quarters with Anti, who hadn’t left the apartment except for once yesterday, he didn’t want to risk it.
“Alright,” Anti muttered. He’d cuffed Jackie’s right arm to the table leg, letting his left one be free. Now he stood up, grabbing a plate and cup from the table, which he set down on the floor next to Jackie. A sandwich and a glass of milk. It would do. Anti sat down on the nearest chair and pulled out his phone, glancing at Jackie every few seconds. Jackie didn’t respond, just pulled out the gag and started eating. He should hurry.
All was silent for a few minutes. Until: “Wait, what?” Anti sat up straight, eyes scanning his phone again. “That’s—ugh.” He tapped the screen a couple times, then dialed a number and held the phone to his ear. Jackie could hear it ringing from here. The moment the call was picked up, Anti started talking. “Yeah, hi, it’s me. What the fuck?” There were the faint hints of a voice on the other end. “What, did you think I’d just forget your number? No. Now what the fuck is this on the website?” Anti paused. “I think you do know what I’m talking about. I told you, I don’t do repeats.” The voice on the other end sounded angry. “Well if he survived three stab wounds, I’d say he’s earned the right to live. Besides, he hasn’t told anyone, has he? That would’ve been on the news.” Pause. “I don’t do refunds either.”
Jackie couldn’t help but be intrigued. What was he talking about? It sounded like someone hired Anti as some sort of hitman. Was that what he did in his spare time? Or maybe that was his job and this serial killer stuff was just a fun side project for him. Jackie shuddered at the thought of it.
“Well boo-fuckity-hoo for you.” Anti drawled. “Look, I get not wanting loose ends, but I’m done here. I’m busy, I have shit to do, and the cops know about me now.” A long pause as the voice on the other end talked for a while. Anti raised an eyebrow. “Give me two hundred pounds right now and I’ll consider it.” Loud shouting from the other end. “Don’t give me that shit, that’s spare change for you. Tell you what, I’ll check out the guy’s house, too.” Pause. “Yeah, if I decide I want to.” Long pause. “Great. What’s the address again?” Short pause. “No, I didn’t, that would be insane. It was a lot easier to ambush him while he was out. What’s the address.” Another pause. Anti’s eyes suddenly widened. “Wait, really?” The other voice said something angry. “It’s none of your business. But I’m checking my account now, if the number doesn’t go up by two hundred in the next five minutes, I’m not even gonna think about it.” He hung up the call unceremoniously, and started swiping about on the phone screen again.
Well that was...interesting. Jackie stared at Anti as he seemed to wait for something, eyes glued to his phone. After a short while, he grinned, and looked away, immediately seeing Jackie. He glared. “What’re you looking at, hoodie?”
Jackie flinched and looked away, stuffing the last bit of sandwich into his mouth.
“That’s what I thought.” Anti stood up and disappeared through a doorway, into what Jackie assumed was the bedroom area. A few minutes later he returned, wearing a gray hoodie with a backpack slung over his shoulder. He crouched on the floor next to Jackie. “You’re not going anywhere, are you?” He chuckled. “No, of course not.” He grabbed Jackie’s wrist and yanked it around the table leg, causing him to cry out. Click. The handcuffs were back in place. Before Jackie could even process that, Anti was shoving the gag back in his mouth, sudden enough to make him choke a bit. “Of course, if you’re not here when I get back...” Anti didn’t have to finish that sentence.
After a moment of staring into Jackie’s eyes, making sure he got the point, Anti stood up and headed out, slamming the front door behind him.
Jackie flinched, then exhaled slowly, squeezing his eyes shut. Alone. Anti would be back soon, of course, but he’d enjoy this while it lasted. Trying to relax as much as he was able while in this awkward position, he tried to drift away in the relieving silence.
——————
Anti knew this address.
He drove there, parking some ways away and walking the rest of the way. The neighborhood immediately looked familiar, and by the time he reached the address, he knew where he was going, and wasn’t surprised to stop outside the house of Marvin Maher.
Marvin wasn’t someone he was particularly interested in. He knew enough to get a grasp on him...which was admittedly a lot. 28 years old, Irish, currently unemployed, no living relatives aside from his grandmother, has two cats and a snake, and was a practicing Wiccan. Though those were just the facts. In personality, Marvin was stubborn, loud, very visible with his emotions, and had some difficulty in social situations.
And again, though that was a lot, Anti wasn’t particularly interested in him. Not compared to the other one, Chase. Ironic, considering that for all intents and purposes, Chase lived a much less exciting life. He didn’t go anywhere, had an ex-wife and kids, and ran two YouTube channels for “work:” his own channel, BroAverage, and the one that belonged to his coma-bound friend,  jacksepticeye. Perhaps it was the fact that he was so ordinary, stuck in this extraordinary situation, that fascinated him.
But he wasn’t here to find out more about Chase. Anti wasn’t usually one to try again on a job, since it increased his chance of being found, and anonymity was his greatest shield. He’d only decided to consider it due to already being known to the police in this city—a fact that he cursed that doctor lady for every day since she escaped. But now, realizing who his target was made this much more interesting.
Anti circled around the house, scouting it. Looking into the rooms, it appeared empty. All the windows were locked pretty securely, as was the front door...but not so much the side door. He twisted the knob and pulled it open. It looked like a chest of drawers had been pressed against the door from the other side, perhaps to prevent it from opening. He chuckled. This door had a spring hinge; it swung both ways. It also didn’t appear to have a functioning lock. Good, he was happy he didn’t have to pick his way inside and risk someone noticing that.
He pushed the chest of drawers to the side and entered the house, finding himself at the end of a hallway with a door to the left and right. Once inside, he carefully pulled the door shut and replaced the drawers; he could find another exit. The hall opened up into a living room. Anti walked down, careful to tread only where the carpet was worn down so his footsteps wouldn’t stand out. The living room was about normal, its main feature being the snake terrarium. He stared at the snake inside for a bit, but it appeared to be asleep. Huh, he didn’t know snakes could be purple. Mentally making a note to look that up later, he noticed another hallway branching off the living room, and was about to head there when something caught his eye.
A turquoise notebook was lying on the coffee table, looking quite out of place with the rest of Marvin’s decorations. Odd. Was that someone else’s? Anti frowned, and idly picked it up, skimming the pages. There was something tucked inside...a plastic keycard? He looked over the handwritten notes, not paying much attention until he saw a familiar name: Schneep.
He immediately started paying attention to this journal. What was this? He flipped back to the beginning, seeing a name written on the inside cover: Dr. Rya Laurens.
That doctor lady. Anti narrowed his eyes. Was this her notebook? Why did Marvin have it? What was in it? Was he mentioned in it anywhere?
He took his backpack off his shoulders and slid the notebook and its keycard inside. And then he looked up, and happened to glance out the window. Luckily he did in time, because he saw people coming up the front path.
Instinct kicked in and he looked around for the nearest exit. The back window. It only had a latch to lock it. Quickly he ran over, threw it open, and jumped outside, closing it behind him. Now in the backyard, he stayed low, backing up.
Once he was pressed against the fence of the house behind this one, Anti dared to straighten just enough to look through the window into the living room. It appeared as though Marvin had come home. He’d also brought a friend, the only one of the group that he didn’t actually know the name of. That annoyed him. But he just hadn’t seen the others with him that often, and looking up Chase and Marvin on social media, this guy didn’t appear in many photos, and the ones he did show up in never mentioned him by name or tagged an account. All he knew about this last friend was that he had a nice mustache and spoke BSL.
He watched as Marvin set a folder down on the coffee table, apparently not noticing the missing notebook. Marvin started talking with his friend, the two of them signing quickly. Anti huffed. God, it had been so long since he’d had to understand sign language. Not since—Anti stiffened, and pushed that thought away.
The point was, now this group would be forcing him to relearn it. He watched the two inside have an animated conversation, picking up the word ‘doctor’ a lot. It didn’t seem like an argument, but it was very...passionate. Expressions changed rapidly. Marvin made a sign, the letter J twice in a row—
Anti froze, staring. Not caring if he was visible.
He had to have imagined that, didn’t he? Marvin couldn’t have just made that sign. But no, he’d seen that, clear as day. But maybe...maybe the sign meant something different in this context. It couldn’t be…
He looked more closely at the friend he didn’t know the name of. This whole group looked similar, looked like him. That was weird, but it didn’t...didn’t mean...
The friend leaned forward, and something silver flashed. A silver disk on a matching chain around his neck. Anti stared at it, and reached up to where he wore a similar disk on a chain. He’d recognize that anywhere. It wasn’t just a silver circle, it was a watch, and he now grabbed his tightly.
Well, it wasn’t his, technically. It was his brother’s.
——————
“So how do names work in sign language, then?” Aneirin asked. “Are you supposed to sign them all out? With letters?”
Jameson picked up his pencil and started writing, showing him the result. Goodness, no, that would take forever. There are these things called name signs, which are unique sign combinations for people. Those are their names.
They were sitting in the living room of Aneirin’s house, legs pulled up onto the old sofa he’d gotten from the side of the road. It was in pretty good condition, for one that had a ‘Free’ sign taped to it. Eighteen and a homeowner would’ve been impressive for anyone else, but Aneirin had sped through the steps to getting it, knowing he needed a place to stay as soon as possible. He was sure that if the realtor knew where he’d gotten the money to pay for it, he never would’ve sold it to him.
“Okay, so what would mine be, then?” Aneirin asked, spreading out along the length of the sofa. “Do I get to choose it?”
Jameson considered this, and Aneirin watched him silently. His little brother was sixteen, and very thin and small, pulling into the corner of the sofa like he was trying to take up as little space as possible. Well, I think I have an idea for what I could call you. You can tell me if you don’t like it. He made the sign for the letter A, and followed it with another sign, curling his hands into fists and rubbing them against each other.
“Well, it depends on what it means,” Aneirin joked.
Jameson chuckled a bit. It’s just the letter A followed by the sign for “brother.”
“Oh.” Aneirin gasped softly. Then a wide smile broke across his face. “Yeah, I like that.” He paused. “Do you have one?”
Yes! I chose one, but no one’s ever used it. He signed the letter J twice.
Aneirin blinked. “That’s it? That’s just...JJ.”
Well it’s my initials, Jameson pointed out. I like the sound of it.
“Okay,” Aneirin said slowly. He copied the sign. “But when would I ever need to call you that? Instead of just saying it.”
You are saying it, just in sign, Jameson wrote. But I thought that, if you can’t talk after a bad seizing, you could use BSL.
“Uh...no, I don’t think so.” Aneirin frowned. “The problem is that after a seizure I’m confused. It’s not that I can’t talk because my muscles don’t work, but cause I don’t know where the fuck I am.”
Oh. Well, think about it, Jameson said. You need to at least learn it to understand me.
“Yeah, I know.” Aneirin smiled. “Don’t worry, I’m sure it’ll be easy.”
——————
“Jamie! Don’t walk away from me!”
Jameson whirled on him. Don’t call me that!
“What? Jamie?” Aneirin blinked. “That’s your name!”
It’s a nickname, Jameson signed furiously. And it’s a childish one.
“Oh, what, I can’t call my little brother a nickname now?” Aneirin scoffed.
That’s not just it! Jameson protested. I’m not a kid, Aneirin! I’m twenty-one years old, I am an adult, and you don’t treat me like it.
“Okay, yes, legally that’s true,” Aneirin said. “But there’s more to being an adult than age. There’s experience. I mean, look at you. You can’t drive, you don’t have a job, you’ve never dated anyone. There’s just a lot that you don’t understand.”
I don’t know how to drive because you never taught me! Jameson stepped up to Aneirin, throwing his hands in his face. I don’t have a job because you won’t let me get one! And you’ve never dated anyone either, so I don’t see how you can say anything about that. And even if you had, you turn away every guy I’m interested in. You go through my messages to make sure I don’t say anything “inappropriate” in my own private messages! I need to live my own life, Aneirin.
“I...” Aneirin was at a loss for words. He couldn’t remember the last time Jameson had gotten this angry, and it was never directed at him. “Look, you’re...twenty-one is still pretty young, and with your condition—”
You’re only two years older than me, Jameson signed sharply. And don’t talk to me about how my disability means I can’t handle most jobs, I’m sick of hearing it from you. You can’t expect me to help you dispose of a body and at the same time say I couldn’t deal with working in an office. And it’s absurd that you involve me in the former in the FIRST PLACE!
Aneirin shook his head silently. What was there to say to this? What was there to say when his little brother was angry with him? With words failing, he fell upon action. And he started crying.
Jameson’s expression, previously so furious, turned to shock. Aneirin didn’t cry. Nothing ever seemed to phase him. The sight was concerning. No no, don’t—it’s okay, it’s fine, Jameson hurried to sign.
“I just—just don’t want anything—I just want you to be safe,” Aneirin gasped, vision blurring with tears. “I’m trying—trying to make sure you’re safe, a-and happy, and...am I failing? Am I a bad brother?”
No, you’re a good brother, Jameson reassured him. You just...made some mistakes.
“I’m just—th-this is dangerous, what I do.” Aneirin looked down, hiding his eyes in his hands. “People could—could come after you, to get to me, and—and I can’t let that happen, Jamie, JJ, I can’t—I’m sorry if you think I’m stifling you or something, I just—”
Hey, it’s fine, it’s fine. Really. I just...had some things to get off my chest. Jameson put his hands on Aneirin’s shoulders reassuringly and smiled.
“Are you sure?” Aneirin asked, wiping his eyes.
Yes, it’s fine, Jameson signed. We can talk this over later, work things out. I’m sorry for upsetting you.
“It’s alright, JJ,” Anti said, smiling.
——————
It really should’ve been obvious from the start. What were the odds of him running into someone else who looked like him and spoke BSL? But the possibility hadn’t even occurred to Anti. Because for four years now, he’d thought his brother Jamie had been dead.
But he was wrong. Jameson wasn’t dead. Jameson was alive, and friends with Chase and Marvin and probably involved with all this, all Anti’s plans.
Anti backed up, then turned around and jumped over the fence into the house behind Marvin’s. He took off in a run.
——————
The door slammed open, and Jackie startled awake. Anti stormed in, furious. Jackie tried not to cry out when his attention turned towards him, backing up as best as he was able.
“You.” Anti grabbed Jackie by the front of the hoodie and pulled out his gag. “Tell me this. Do you know a man named Jameson Jackson?”
Jameson? Jackie’s heart stopped. What did Anti want with him?
“Answer me!” Anti threw him backwards, and Jackie’s head slammed against the table with a painful crack. “Tell me if you know him or I’ll cut your fingers off one by one.”
“I do, I do,” Jackie gasped. “I know him.”
“How?” Anti demanded. “How do you know him?”
“We—we met him last October,” Jackie explained. “Marvin met him. At the theatre. They started talking, and—and we all met him.”
Anti stared at him a while longer, then suddenly let go, dropping him to the floor. Jackie felt his heart racing. He turned and watched Anti pacing the length of the room.
“Not expecting this,” Anti was muttering. “Unexpected—unexpected variable. Can’t control this. Can’t control for this.” He reached up and grabbed the watch around his neck. “It’ll work. Work around it. Work around—Jamie.” The last word was strong with emotion.
Anti hurried out of the room into the bedroom, slamming the door shut. Jackie flinched. What was Anti planning? It...couldn’t be good for anyone. Especially not Jameson.
Well he couldn’t do anything about it in his current position. He was just worried about surviving. So Jackie tried to put it out of his mind. Yet...there was one thing he couldn’t forget. Had he been imagining it, or had there been tears in Anti’s eyes?

In Exchange (Tivali)
Tali’s parents are terrified when she suddenly comes down with a case of appendicitis.

"Ima, Daddy, I don't feel so good," Tali mumbles one night after dinner.
"What hurts?" Tony asks.
"My tummy."
Ziva purses her lips, not unsympathetic. "I did tell you to eat more slowly, did I not, ahava shelli? You probably have gas. I know it is uncomfortable, but it will pass."
"But what do I do to make it stop hurting now?" Tali whines.
"Oh, that's an easy one," Tony answers. "You just have to ride a bike."
Tali frowns. "Ride a bike? But it's night time, Daddy."
Tony laughs, standing and offering his hand. Tali takes it, distracted momentarily from her discomfort. "Not a real bike, baby girl. C'mere, I'll show you."
He leads her to the living room and has her lay on her back on the sofa. "Alright, now give me your feet." Tali laughs a little at the strange request but sticks her legs up in the air all the same. "Perfect. Okay, so I'm going to hold onto your feet and push on them and you bend your knees—we'll work together to make it seem like you're pedaling really fast. Got it?"
"Got it."
"Smart girl. Ready… go!" He starts singing a silly song under his breath as they move. "Ride a bike, ride a bike, ride a bike, bike, bike!" Tali is clearly tickled, and she giggles for a minute after they stop. "Did it work?" Tony asks, grinning at her mirth.
"How do I know if it did?"
"It worked if it made you toot."
"Toot? Ew, Daddy! That's gross!"
"Maybe it is, Tali-Tee," Tony says, teasingly poking her sides to make her squirm, "but it'll make your tummy feel better. So did it work?"
"No."
"Alright, we'll just try again."
When it still doesn't work a second time, Tony exchanges mildly concerned glances with Ziva. Tali probably just has a bit of a stomach bug or maybe some constipation, but it's something they'll need to keep an eye on, just in case.
___________________
Ziva goes to check on Tali a few hours after bedtime, and at first, all seems well. Tali is sleeping soundly, showing no signs of distress.
Moved by tenderness, Ziva leans down to kiss the sleeping girl's face, but she jerks back a little almost immediately. Tali's skin feels too warm, probably feverish. Combined with the upset stomach she had earlier, it's slightly worrying.
Trying not to jump to conclusions, Ziva fetches a thermometer and runs it lightly across Tali's forehead. When it beeps, she turns it over so she can see the screen—it reads 38. It is a fever, but it's not a high one, thank goodness.
Ziva is kneeling next to the bed, trying to decide what to do, when she hears her name being whispered. "Ziva?" She looks up to see Tony in the doorway. "Is she alright?"
Ziva holds up the thermometer so he can see. "She has a fever. I am not sure what to do. If it was higher, I would wake her to give her medicine, but… since it is still low, should we wake her, or let her sleep?"
Tony considers that for a moment. "I think we should probably give her some paracetamol. The fever may be low now, but getting ahead of it wouldn't be the worst idea in the world."
Ziva nods and starts to stand, but Tony shakes his head. "You go ahead and wake her up. I'll go get the medicine."
He disappears from the doorway, and Ziva starts gently petting Tali awake. "Hamuda, it is time to open your eyes," she murmurs. "Come now, wake up, little one."
Slowly, Tali emerges from sleep, opening her eyes and then fluttering them closed again into a squinty frown to ward against the dim light spilling in from the hallway. "'s morning already? I wanna go back to sleep."
Ziva can't help smiling at the complaint. Tali really is just like her father. "No, it is not morning, and you can go back to sleep. Abba and I just need you to take a little medicine first." She hears footsteps and then Tony's hand appears in her field of vision, offering a little measuring cup full of thick red liquid. "It is the kind you like best—cherry!"
With her eyes still clenched shut, Tali opens her mouth. Ziva pours the medicine in. "How does your tummy feel tonight, my love?"
"Hurts." She already sounds like she's halfway back to sleep, though, which is reassuring. It must not hurt too badly.
Tony pats Tali's foot over the blanket. "I'm sure you'll feel better in the morning, baby. You can go back to sleep now."
"'Kay." Within a few moments, she's breathing deeply and evenly again, fast asleep.

The rest of the night passes without incident. Tali wakes up in a bad mood, though, and only picks at her breakfast. "I don't want this," she finally says, grumpily pushing her bowl away with enough force that milk slops over the side and onto the table.
Tony frowns at her. "You don't have to eat it if you're not hungry, but don't make a mess just because you woke up on the wrong side of the bed today, Tals," he scolds lightly.
"I didn't mean to!" Tali snaps, and she promptly bursts into furious tears.
Stricken, Tony gives Ziva a wide-eyed look. Help?
Ziva stoops in front of Tali, reaching up to wipe tears off of her face. "What is the matter, Tali? We have nothing to cry about, yes?"
"I—" Tali's sobbing so hard that she has to catch her breath before she can speak. "I don't—I don't feel gooood!" she wails.
"It is okay, sweet one, it is all going to be okay," Ziva coos, drawing Tali into her arms and rubbing her back. "Shh. Take deep breaths, my love." Over the top of Tali's head, Ziva gives Tony a mild reproachful look, and the look he gives her back clearly says 'I didn't mean to upset her!'
When Tali calms, Ziva pulls out of the clingy hug and pushes Tali's tear-wet hair out of her face. "That is better," she says, keeping her voice low and soothing. "Now, can you use your words? Can you tell me exactly what does not feel good?"
"My tummy, Ima. It still hurts!"
"Worse than yesterday?"
"Ken."
"Show me where, please?"
Tali points to her belly button, her lip trembling as tears threaten again. Suddenly, though, she goes a little green and turns around to run to the bathroom.
Her parents follow, wincing as she throws up in the toilet. Tony loosely holds her hair back so it doesn't get caught up in the stream of sick. When she seems done, Ziva grabs a cup from under the sink and fills it with water so Tali can rinse and spit. "Should we take her to the pediatrician?" Tony asks under his breath.
"Maybe," Ziva agrees in an undertone.
Tali, however, overhears. "No!" she cries. "No doctors!"
Tony and Ziva exchange looks again. "A doctor might be able to help you feel better, though, love," Tony reminds their daughter.
"No!" Tali repeats fiercely. She's deathly afraid of needles, which has given her a general case of white coat syndrome. Her parents know that she's likely to upset herself significantly if they try to drag her to a medical office. They exchange one more look, and then…
"You do not have to see a doctor right now, but if you start to feel worse, Tali, you must tell us, yes?" Ziva compromises, gentle but firm.
"Fine," Tali mutters. "I wanna go lay down."
"Go for it, darlin'," Tony tells her. "That's a good idea. I'm going to put a trash can next to your bed in case you have to be sick again."
A few minutes later, Tali's back in bed and Tony and Ziva are in the kitchen talking, worried. "Maybe it's just a stomach bug, but… I don't know. I don't have a good feeling, Ziva," Tony says quietly.
"I do not feel good about it, either," Ziva agrees. "We may need to go to a hospital rather than the pediatrician if she gets worse. But—she will be…" she trails off, apprehensive.
"She'll be fine."
Tony's not sure who he's trying to convince—Ziva or himself.
___________________
An hour later, no one is convinced. When Tali wakes up in hysterical tears, she stumbles out of her room clutching her abdomen, seriously alarming both of her parents. "It hurts!" she sobs. "My tummy hurts!"
Tony reaches out to feel her forehead and grimaces. "Ziva, she's burning up. I think it's time."
Ziva nods seriously.
"Time for what?" Tali demands, her tears taking on a fearful edge.
"It is time to visit the hospital, little one," Ziva says softly.
"Noooo!" she wails, backing away. "No hospitals! I don't want to go to the hospital!"
Tony kneels in front of her, mindful not to spook her further. "Hey, Ima and I will be right there with you, baby. We'll be there the whole time. I know it's scary, but if your tummy is sick, we need to see a doctor about it. It's the only way you're gonna feel better, sweetheart."
Tali stamps her foot, trying to look fiercer than she feels. "No. I won't go!"
"Yes, Tali, you will. I am sorry that you are afraid, ahava shelli, but this is important. You are very grown up, and very brave. I have faith in your ability to do what you must. If you cannot, however, we will have to carry you." With Ziva and Tali wearing matching frowns, they look so incredibly similar.
Tali glares between her parents and then makes a break for it, aiming to hide in her room. Tony deftly catches her, however, and murmurs "I'm so sorry" to her as she struggles against him. He turns to Ziva, rising to his feet with his daughter in his arms. "Let's go. Now," he says grimly.
___________________
By the time they reach Hôpital Necker, the nearest children's hospital, Tony and Ziva are both white-faced and anxious, and Tali is inconsolable. The five-year-old has spent the ride fighting desperately to escape, fearing the hospital far more than whatever's upsetting her stomach.
They bring her inside; Ziva goes to talk to the triage nurse while Tony maintains a tight told on Tali, keeping up a constant stream of murmured reassurances to the terrified child. She has mostly stopped trying to run, but he doesn't set her down—he can't let her know, but he's just as afraid as she is. There's little he can do to protect her, but he can hold onto her and keep her safe for now, at least.
It isn't long before they're in a room and things start moving… Tali gets changed into a hospital gown, her tiny hand gets a new IV, and a doctor comes in to examine her. He can't determine much without some tests, so they draw blood, have Tali pee in a cup, and order a CT.
Tali, for her part, has calmed to mere wide-eyed trembling, and she even sits still for the needle sliding into her vein for the IV—so long as Ima keeps holding her hand tightly, that is. She loses it again, though, when she's informed that Ima and Daddy can't go to the CT room with her. Then she struggles so much that the doctor decides she needs to be sedated.
Ziva thinks there's little that's more painful than watching all the fight leave her tiny daughter.
As the medicine takes effect, Tali's eyes start to droop and her death grip on Ziva's hand becomes slackened. Then someone arrives to roll her away, they kiss her gently and tell her they'll see her in a minute, and she's gone.
Ziva sinks into a chair in the corner, suddenly absolutely exhausted.
She feels a hand on her cheek and glances up to find Tony looking at her with concern. "Are you alright, sweet cheeks?"
She can't lie, not to him, not now, so she shakes her head.
"Hey. She'll be back in a few minutes. This is just a test, remember?"
"I know. But… they put medicine in her IV and her hand just went so… limp. I did not like that feeling. It scared me."
Tony sighs, taking her hand to pull her to her feet and then tugging her into a hug. He rests his chin on the top of her head. "I didn't like it, either," he agrees. "You held it together for her until she was gone, though, and I know it helped. She thinks you're fearless."
Ziva lets out a breath of a laugh, pressing her face against Tony's shoulder and drawing comfort where it's offered. "She could not be more wrong."
"Ah, she doesn't need to know that," Tony replies comfortably. "Let her believe you're a superhero for a few more years. I haven't quite grown out of that one myself."
___________________
Tali is returned to them a few minutes later, and then begins a game of hurry-up-and-wait.
The little one dozes on and off on her bed while her mother whispers Hebrew bedtime stories that Tali's too out of it to grasp; talking helps Ziva, though, and she keeps going. Tony sits quietly on the other side of the bed, updating friends and family through text messages. The irony of this role-reversal isn't lost on either Tony or Ziva; the current crisis has drawn him into silence and her into chatter.
After forty-five minutes, the doctor comes back in. "We got the results of Tali's CT scan back," he tells them, and Tali's parents both sit up, alertly focused. "It looks like she has appendicitis. Now," he continues, seeing the alarmed looks Tony and Ziva are sending each other, "I know that sounds scary, and it's true that it does require surgery. It's very routine, though, and it's common. Our surgeons know what they're doing. Your daughter will be fine."
Tali is still too heavily medicated to pay much attention to the conversation, which is good.
"How long will it take?" Tony asks.
"It should be about an hour, maybe two. The surgeon will be able to answer your questions in more detail, though."
Tony and Ziva both have more things they want to ask, but after a rapid silent conversation between them, Ziva nods. "Thank you, doctor. We will wait to talk to the surgeon."
The doctor leaves, and Tony turns back to Tali, who's staring off into space. "Hey, Tali-Tee?"
"Yeah, Daddy?" she asks, smacking her lips sleepily.
"Did you hear what the doctor said?"
"Yeah," she confirms, but she doesn't elaborate.
"Did you understand what the doctor said?"
"Oh, um, no."
That draws a little smile to the worried father's face, and he runs his hands through Tali's hair, tender and concerned and, as always, absolutely full of affection for his tiniest girl. "They found out what's wrong with your tummy. You've got a little piece of you in there that's really mad right now, so another doctor is going to take that piece out so it doesn't hurt you. Does that make sense?"
"Why's it mad?" Tali asks, confused.
"It heard all of Abba's silly jokes and got angry because they were not funny," Ziva chips in. The attempt at levity is weak, but it brings a woozy smile to Tali's face.
"You wound me!" Tony complains, a hand clutching his chest, and Tali giggles.
"How do they take that piece out?" she asks once her laughter dies away.
"First, they give you a special medicine that makes you take a nap, yes?" Ziva explains, lightly tapping the IV with one finger. "While you are sleeping, they make a little tiny cut or two on your tummy and pull that angry piece right out. Then they put on some bandages and wake you up again!"
"I don't want any more needles," Tali complains, but the remnants of the sedative keep her from panicking about it.
"No, baby, no more needles. That's what the IV is for, so they don't have to stick you again."
"You promise?"
"We promise."
___________________
The staff lets Ziva and Tony walk with the gurney as they take Tali to the operating room, and they're grateful. Tali has been given more medications and isn't too bothered by the whole thing for now, but her parents are another story.
At the door to the surgical wing, they have to say goodbye.
"You can't come?" Tali asks, frowning and looking back and forth between her parents until she gets dizzy. "Are you sure?"
Tony jerks his head at one of the scrub-adorned nurses that's about to take the gurney away and shakes his head. "Aurélia here runs a tight ship, Tali-Tee. I think she'd fight us if we tried, and look at those muscles! She'd win!"
"Nobody wins against Ima," Tali contradicts, and Ziva grins.
"And do not forget it." She leans down and kisses Tali's head before switching to Hebrew. The rest is meant for Tali's ears only. "I love you more than anything in the world, my sweet girl," she whispers. "I will be waiting for you when you wake up. You will be fine. I cannot wait to see you again—we have been through bigger things before, yes? We always make it through, you and I. I love you," she repeats, then steps back so Tony can say goodbye, too.
Tony picks up one of Tali's curls between two fingers and drops it again, smiling at her fondly. "I don't speak any super fun languages to tell you secrets in, but don't let that fool you into thinking your mother loves you more," he jokes. "Just you wait, kid—before you know it, we'll be back to running around the apartment at full speed, knocking things off the walls and driving her nuts. Can't wait, baby. I love you lots. See you soon."
"I love you, too, Daddy, Ima," Tali replies, and then she's waving as the nurses roll her away.
Then it's just Tony and Ziva, and Ziva's smile slides right off her face. "We need to go to the waiting room so we will be ready when they come to update us," she says stonily, and turns to walk away without waiting for an answer.
Tony, who had been somewhat afraid of this sort of thing happening, follows her without comment. It's clear that she's been holding back in deference to Tali's own fear, and the fallout isn't going to be pretty once she acknowledges her emotions.
When they get to the waiting room, Tony picks a chair and sits, but Ziva doesn't join him. Instead, she starts to pace, up and down the short aisle of chairs—back and forth, back and forth, something twitchy in her movements. She's acting like a caged animal.
Suddenly, she stops, grabbing onto the back of a chair tightly with both hands and staring off into the distance. Her breathing grows shallow and uneven. "Ziva," Tony says quietly.
She doesn't respond.
This isn't the first anxiety attack she's had since reuniting with her family, but this is the first one she's had in public in the last few months. Tony really isn't sure how to react; he doesn't want to startle her, but he also doesn't want to let her panic indefinitely. Slowly, cautiously, he gets to his feet and stands in front of her. "Ziva, look at me. Please."
She does, but she clearly isn't seeing him. Dark, wide, and fearful, her eyes stare at something that's not there.
"Ziva." Tony gently takes one of her hands, and she jumps. Her eyes focus in on him, though, and she seems to remember where she is. Unfortunately, that does the opposite of calming her. All of the sudden, she's hyperventilating and trembling, her eyes clear but wild. "Hey. Ziva. Ziva, listen to me. Just listen, okay?"
She nods desperately, searching for something to hold onto.
"Tali is going to be fine. She's our daughter, remember? She's made of strong stuff. This is a really straightforward surgery, that's what the surgeon said—it's the single most commonly performed emergency surgery for kids."
"But— but I cannot—" As she tries to get the words out, tears start to escape her eyes, trailing down her face and dripping onto her shirt.
"Hey, take a deep breath and try again. Come on, love."
Ziva makes a conscious effort to follow his instructions. "I cannot lose her," she says, swallowing hard. "I have only had her back for—not even two months now, Tony. I cannot—I have lost too much. I would not survive losing Tali."
"You won't." This is firm, almost angry, daring the universe to argue. "We won't. Can you believe that for an hour? Just one hour. Then our girl will be out of surgery and waking up and this will all seem like a bad dream."
"One hour?" Ziva repeats.
"One hour," Tony confirms.
"I will… try."
"That's my girl." Not caring at all that they're in a waiting room full of strangers, Tony lightly drops his forehead to rest against Ziva's. "I'm proud of you," he whispers. "You and Tali both, you're tough as nails."
In response, she kisses him chastely, and then tucks her face against his neck. It's a comforting place to hide, warm and surrounded by someone who would follow her to the ends of the earth, someone who always, always has her back.
They stay there until someone comes to get them.
___________________
Tali is fast asleep when they're finally allowed back to see her, but it doesn't matter. She's breathing and her face is—for now—clear of any pain. She'll be back to normal in a few weeks.
Ziva cries again when they see her. This time, there's no panic attached, but… she's softer now than she used to be. She tries to let herself feel all of the reactions she tried to hide before, because her family deserves her emotional honesty. Something tells her that Tony gets it, because he gives her a warm, sympathetic smile and wraps his arm around her. He holds her until she's done crying.
This feels like the first real parenting test they've faced together, and it's an enormous relief to be on the other side of it.
Tali starts to snore, and they know that everything will be alright.

Mommy, Please!
Tomura Shigaraki x F!Reader
Contains: mommy kink, breastfeeding kink, submissive Tomura, smut.
This is the 3rd smut fic I've ever written. I hope anyone who reads it likes it!
It was late at night as you lay in bed. You heard a noise as Tomura opens the door and makes his way towards you, joining you in bed as he buries his face in your chest.
"Mommy, please....I need you!"
You play with his hair and giggle softly, "what do you need my sweet little boy?"
"I need your milk, mommy!" Tomura pleaded, pulling at your shirt.
You smile, "what's the magic word Tomura?"
He looks up with pleading eyes, "please, mommy?"
"Alright my sweet boy, since you asked so nicely," you say, pecking his forehead.
You sat up, pulling your shirt off revealing your bra as Tomura stares at you, patiently waiting, a tinge of lust and hunger pooling in his eyes.
Slowly, you move to unclasp your bra, your shirt thrown somewhere in your shared room. You removed your bra slowly, teasing Tomura. He bit his bottom lip at this.
"Mommy!! Please hurry!!!" Tomura cried out.
You slipped your bra straps back on your shoulders and reclasped the band. "Is my little boy misbehaving?" You cup his chin, turning his face to look at yours.
"I'm sorry, Mommy! I didn't mean to...I just need you so bad..." Tomura whispered his breath a bit shaky as he spoke., eyes glossed over.
"Alright Tomura, just remember, if you misbehave again, I'll stop this." You reassured.
Tomura nodded, wiping his eyes. You unclasped your bra again, the straps slowly slipped off your soft skin as you took it off. You hear Tomura's breath hitch as your swollen breasts were revealed, a little milk leaked out of your nipples.
Tomura started to reach towards your breasts, but hesitated and gazed into your eyes, "Mommy, may I?" He pleaded, his cheeks tinged pink.
"Yes you may, Tomura. Thank you for asking." You smiled.
Quickly, Tomura shoved his face on your left breast, licking around your areola as his right hand fondled your right one, admiring the softness.
You moaned, feeling his tongue across the bumps on your areola as he makes his way to your leaking nipple. You feel his hot breath tickling your breast as he licks the milk that leaked onto it.
Enjoying the taste, Tomura shoved his mouth over your nipple, suckling for your sweet, warm milk.
"Ah, Tomura! Mmm, such a good boy!" You moan, feeling the warm wetness of Tomura's mouth sucking and nipping your nipple, feeling your milk seep into it.
Tomura kneads your right breast with four fingers and starts rolling his hips against yours, a bulge growing in his pants.
He takes his mouth off your nipple, spit and milk leaking from the sides. "Mommy, please, I need you!" Tomura cried out, pressing his hips harder against yours.
You giggle softly, "okay Tomura. Since you've been such a good boy."
Leaning closer, you take off Tomura's shirt and pants, revealing his scarred body. His growing dick strained in his boxers. You heard Tomura whimper at your touch. Slowly, you grab the hem of his boxers, barely touching his skin as he let out a hiss. You slip off his boxers as his dick springs to life. Tomura lets out a groan from your touch and relishing the feeling of his dick free of restraint.
You take off your underwear and grasp Tomura's dick as he lets out a loud moan, "Mommy, please!! Touch me!"
Pleased at his response, you slowly stroke him up and down as he lets out loud whimpers and moans, precum leaking from the tip.
"Does my sweet little boy need mommy's pussy?" You ask melodically.
"YESS! Please Mommy!!! I need you so bad!!" Tomura whimpers as his flushed, scarred body trembles at your touch.
You peck the mole near his lips, "you've been such a good boy to mommy, Tomura. Here's your reward!"
Straddling his hips, you align him at your entrance and slowly sink down, feeling Tomura stretching you open.
Tears leaked from Tomura's eyes as he moaned, feeling your tight, wet walls caress him, "ahh, thank you Mommy!!!"
You smiled as you slowly raised and lowered yourself, feeling every groove and throb of his dick inside you making you sigh in content.
Your thrusts grew faster and harder, leaving the tip at your entrance before slamming yourself back down making you and Tomura moan.
"Aaah Mommy!!! More!!! Please!!! I want more!!!" Tomura screamed, drool and tears running down his face.
You slam yourself even harder on Tomura, making you see stars "Who's mommy's good little boy!" you scream, breathing heavy as you moan in Tomura's ears.
"Meee!!! I'm mommy's good little boy!!!! Tomura gasps, "please mommy....more milk...I want more mommy!!!" He groaned between your thrusts as he started bucking into you.
Your thrusts grew faster and faster as Tomura pleaded for your permission.
"Take as much milk as you want, you deserve it for being such a good boy!!!" You gushed.
Tomura once again shoves his face into your breasts, nuzzling them before engulfing your right nipple into his mouth. Every suck and lick from him as he thrust his hips to meet yours made the coil in your stomach grow.
Your eyes rolled back, mouth agape as drool escaped your mouth in ecstasy, "You're doing so well for mommy Tomura!!! Aaah, so gooood!!"
Tomura's thrusts grew erratic, "Mommy!!! I'm sooo close!!!"
Thrusting more erratic yourself you moan, "aaah, cum for mommy!!!"
Warmth flooded your insides as Tomura came inside you, "MOMMYYYY!!!" He screamed, throwing his head back as sticky milk and drool pooled out of his mouth.
"TOMURAAA!!!!" You scream. With one last thrust, you came around Tomura, your walls milking him for all his worth.
You moaned feeling every twitch and throb from Tomura's dick as he coated your insides completely.
Tomura rests his head in your chest, sticky from milk and spit as he catches his breath. He rolls his head to the side, looking up at you with tired eyes, "thank you mommy," he sighs.
You ruffle his hair, bringing your hand down to stroke his face. "You did so well Tomura. Such a good boy. Mommy loves you so much!" You cooed.
Tomura wraps his arms around your waist, burying his face in your chest again, "I love you too mommy!"
Feeling Tomura soften, you get off his lap, your mixed fluids leaking out onto the bed.
You rest your head onto your pillow, bringing Tomura with you. Grabbing the covers, you threw them around the two of you.
Tomura rubbed circles on your abdomen, smiling softly, "soon our little player 3 will be here."
"Mmm, yes. They will be soon," you mumbled, "I also noticed you've been enjoying yourself since I started lactating," you smirked at him.
Tomura blushed, "shut up..." he grumbled.
You stroked his hair and kissed his forehead. The two of you drifted off to sleep still awaiting for the new addition to the family.

Contractual Obligated Ghost Friend
So for a while I've been working on my own modern AU after being into Winter's Twin AU and Doodle's Coffee Shop AU. I finally came up with one called Contractual Obligated Ghost AU (originally I called it Ghostly Contract AU, but I didn't like it) where Snatcher, Vanessa and Moonjumper are separated from their human and ghost forms and action, chaos happens.
This is the first story I plan to release and more smaller stories to accompany it. I hope you like this AU because I plan on writing more for it.
The sun was setting down in the small town of Subcon and a 17-year old boy was walking home after a long day of school and his part time job. Now this young man could go home and relax, watch TV, play a video game or take a nap, but sadly this wasn’t the time for that. Finals were coming in a few weeks and to Lucas Princeston that isn’t the case. To him studying for finals come quick and he needed to study so he can pass and graduate.
When Lucas came home he saw his parents weren’t home yet, good he can get some rest without snapping at them. He went to his room grabbed his books and started to study for his science final exam. Despite this, he was tired he wanted to call it a night early but he needed to study. At least for half an hour.
Half an hour passed, and Lucas was asleep on his desk. As he slept his door opened by itself and closed by itself waking the young teen up. “W-who’s there?” Lucas asked. He looked around the room and saw no one there. Lucas sighed thinking he was just dreaming and decided to back to studying. As he studied a few books fell off the shelf, which caught his attention.
Lucas was scared and looked around the room wondering what was going on and who was messing with him. “Alright! Whoever you are! Enough!” He shouted. The room was silent and things started to calm down. Lucas sighed and went over to pick up his books and put them back on the shelf.
As Lucas was putting books away he didn’t notice a purple noodle like ghost was sneaking right behind him with a wide yellow smile on his face. “WHY HELLO THERE!” Lucas screamed and bumped into his book shelf causing more books to fall. The ghost laughed seeing the look on Lucas’s face. “YOU FOOL! YOU SHOULD OF SEEN YOUR FACE!”
“W-who are you?” Lucas asked.
“ME?” The ghost asked. “I’m THE ALL POWERFUL GHOST, THE SNATCHER!” He announced. “AND STARTING TODAY TILL YOU DIE, WE’RE PARTNERS!”
Lucas blinked taken aback of what the ghost just said. “Wait what?” He asked. A ghost wanted to be partners with, him? “W-why do you need me to be your partner?” He asked again. “And don’t use that loud voice. It hurts my ears.” Lucas wasn’t wrong as his ears did started to hurt.
The Snatcher cleared his throat and spoke. “Sorry young man. Didn’t know my voice disturbed you.” He replied. Though it wasn’t loud the echo affect still spoke in his voice.
“Well it did.” Lucas replied. “By the way I’m-” The Snatcher cut off Lucas.
“I know. I know. Lucas Princeston. Age 17, a senior at Subcon High, wants be a lawyer,” The Snatcher paused to comment, “like me. And his birthday is June-”
Now it was Lucas’s turn to cut the ghost off. “W-wait how do you know all this about me?” He asked.
“Well.” The Snatcher started. “I’ve been in need of an errand boy or girl for a few months now since the last one died on me and well the big man of death himself choose you to be my new partner!” He explained.
Lucas tried to wrap his head around all this. He wondered if he studied too hard and it was just a dream and he’ll wake up on his desk and being greeted by his parents with a nice dinner before going to bed and sleeping in till 10 in the morning or later.
“This is just a dream. Your not real.” Lucas stated pointing at the ghost. “I’m still asleep.”
The Snatcher smirked. “Well if your dreaming. Let me know if you feel THIS!” The Snatcher grabbed one of the books and hit Lucas in the head knocking him out. The Snatcher chuckled hoping that when Lucas wakes up he wasn’t dreaming at all.
When Lucas woke up his head still throbbing in pain from the book to his head. He looked around and saw it was already nighttime. He turned to the clock and saw it was 11:30 PM. “Now do you believe me?” The Snatcher asked. Lucas looked around trying to find the ghost and saw The Snatcher in his bed reading one of Lucas’s books.
Lucas slowly got up holding his head and faced the ghost. “Okay. Maybe not dreaming.” He commented.
“Told ya!” The Snatcher sang.
Lucas sighed knowing this ghost won’t leave him alone till he accepted the partnership, but he needed to know what he was getting into before jumping into something shady and paying the price. “So what is this partnership?” He asked.
The Snatcher closed the book and smiled. “Well I’m glad you asked Lu!” He beamed. “You see I, a ghost is paired with a human and were together till you die.” He started. “And as were partnered we need to steal souls.”
“Whoa. Whoa! Wait. Souls?” Lucas asked.
The Snatcher nodded. “That’s right kid! We’ll be stealing souls together! Souls from bad people by the way. Innocents stay alive.” He reminded the young boy.
Lucas shook his head. “No way! I’m not going to murder, criminals for your satisfaction! Deal off!” He shouted.
“Yeah…” The Snatcher’s voice trailed off. “Deal can’t be off. Since I’m paid with you thanks to the big man of death himself. “So unless you die, or like my 66th partner takes a trip down death early. We’re together like glue!”
Lucas growled. “Well tell Grim Reaper to find yourself a new partner, because I ain’t doing it!” He shouted.
The Snatcher smirked knowing he had to do this the hard way now. “Alright. Alright. I’ll find a new partner.” He sighed. The Snatcher snapped his fingers and showed a long piece of paper to Lucas. “Just sign here and I’ll give it too the boss himself.” He explained. Lucas looked at the paper and read it carefully hopefully not to see any loopholes in the contract.
Lucas quickly signed it and handed it to The Snatcher. The ghost smirked and soon laughed as Lucas’s room had been engulfed in a purple area. “HAHAHAHA...FOOOOOL!” He shouted.
“W-what?” Lucas asked looking around.
“YOU blew it! YOU totally screwed yourself!” The Snatcher shouted. “That wasn’t a contract to get you out of it. I made you sign the agreement that keeps us bound forever!” As he said forever, his voice went into a deep growl.
Lucas glared for being tricked by this ghost. “Y-you. You tricked me!” Lucas shouted. Soon Lucas felt a pain in his chest and soon a blue mist came out of it and went on The Snatcher’s hand. “W-what’s going on?” He asked feeling week.
Soon The Snatcher snapped his fingers and put Lucas’s soul inside a purple oval gem. He then handed the gem over to Lucas who caught it. “Part of your soul and my soul are now kept in this gem. This keeps us bonded no matter what.” The Snatcher explained.
The ghost snapped his fingers and soon everything went back to normal.
Lucas’s eyes widen staring at the gem. Part of his soul is in there mixed with the ghost’s soul from the past. Lucas glared at the gem and ran to his window to throw it away, but it was caught by the ghost. “Don’t think about throwing it kid. I’m able to sense where you threw it.” The Snatcher warned.
Lucas glared and put the gem on his desk realizing it would be a waste of time hiding it or throwing it away. He sat back at his desk and decided to study the remainder of the night. The Snatcher smiled and floated close to his new partner. Lucas narrowed his eyes and turned to his new “partner.”
“This doesn’t make us friends.” Lucas warned.
The Snatcher smirked and just watched Lucas study for his test. A few hours later Lucas fell asleep on his desk his books and everything still open. The Snatcher was chilling on his bed reading a book watching his partner rest. Soon he heard a ruckus going on outside and went too look out the window.
Outside he saw two thugs breaking into a house right across the street. The Snatcher chuckled and looked at the gem on Lucas’s desk. He picked up Lucas’s hand and had him hold the gem. “Now time to have some fun.” The Snatcher chuckled before going inside the gem.
The two robbers finally entered the house and went to grab everything from the house. “Yo check this out dude.” The robber exclaimed. His partner turned to the mastermind of the crime and saw perfectly wrapped gifts for a birthday. The robbers looked at each other and nodded in sync ready to grab the gifts.
“Ahem.” A voice replied. The robbers turned and pointed their guns at a shadowy figure with glowing yellow eyes. “Someone’s a little greedy.” It was the voice of the Snatcher in Lucas’s body. The ghost then released flames from his hand, and soon leaped at the robbers as the latter screamed.
Lucas opened his eyes and saw he was in his bed. He rubbed his head wondering what happened last night. As he did he felt something wet and looked at his hand. Lucas’s eyes widen at what he saw in his hand.
Blood
Lucas ran towards his mirror and saw he had some blood splatter on his face. Quickly, he dashed to the bathroom and wiped it off before anyone noticed him. He wondered what happened and what caused him to have blood on his face. As he thought of what happened he could only think one particular ghost that might of done this.
“What did you do?” Lucas asked marching back into his room.
The Snatcher was reading on top of his desk sitting on his notes for school. “Well Gooood morning!” The Snatcher beamed. “Like what I did with your body?” He asked.
Lucas slammed his hands on the desk. “Enough with the jokes! Tell me what did you do to me?” He asked glaring at the ghost. The Snatcher pointed to the window. Lucas looked out the window and saw police cars surrounding a neighbor’s house. The young teen felt sick to his stomach as he ran outside to see what happened.
When Lucas got outside he saw police covering up the bodies of two victims. The teen gulped ready to throw up hoping he didn’t kill his neighbors. “E-excuse me sir?” Lucas asked a nearby police officer. “W-what happened?”
The officer sighed. “Apparently there was a robbery last night and the robbers were found dead.” He explained.
Lucas blinked. Robbers? Not his neighbors? Lucas looked and saw his neighbors were fine and not injured. Lucas nodded and stepped back away from the crime scene and sat outside watching neighbors and police wondering what was going on.
The Snatcher came by and smirked at the young teen. “Well like the work I’ve done?” He asked.
“You made me kill them?” Lucas asked whispering so no one would hear them.
“Well basically I killed them, but I needed to use your body.” The Snatcher explained.
“W-why?”
The Snatcher chuckled. “Remember the deal and part of your soul?” He asked. Lucas looked down and remembered the deal he made with the Snatcher. “You see,” The Snatcher revealed the gem. “This is a Poltergem. My soul when I was alive as well as part of your soul is in there. When needed I can go in this gem and control your body, kill people who do horrible things and then eat their souls.” He explained.
Lucas looked horrified at the ghost at what he just told him. “So basically are partnership is you using my body as a puppet!” He exclaimed.
“Exactly!” The Snatcher replied with a smile. “Though don’t worry I eat the souls myself. Your body doesn’t digest them.”
Lucas groaned putting his hands to his face. Just yesterday he was a normal teen living a stressful teen life. Now he’s obligated to a ghost who kills bad guys for a living and eats their souls. “What is my life!?”
“Just call it your Obligated Contract Life.” The Snatcher replied.

- Oh Thank you so much Y/N, Mrs Lewis is my last one for the day but I really have to...
- It's ok Linda, I cover up for you, honestly.. It is ok.
I was so nice to everyone that I often forgot about myself, tonight it was my turn to cook on the chelter and before that my laundry really had to get organised... And the dishes, omg... Well it seamed that I had to do that one another night..
- You are such a rock Y/N.. How can I ever thank you? Mrs Lewis is a sweet old lady, you just have to be there on time and shop after her list, otherwise no problem.. Oh.. Right.. Almost forgot.. The bus.. Make sure you time it in.. It runs just once in an hour
- Ok, got it.. Have a nice dinner now.. Don't think about me, I smiled little sarcastic and headed out towards the bus stop
Jeez.. Well... I had nothing against helping people, the opposite frankly, I loved it, but it was a loooong time since I gaved myself some me time... And by that I should probably mention that it was about time that I had a good lay too..
With a cringy noise and a sigh, the bus stopped right by my feet
I asked the driver just in case where the closest stop was to the grocery store
The list was not that long but she was very specific what she wanted, down to the exact pound of cheese the special sausage at the butcher, her favourite olive oil, etc etc
I went in at butchers first and took it of the list, next was the post-office, I sighed.. There were tons of people inside and I just needed a few stamps for the letters. Just the thought of the fucking bus me freaked out.. Perhaps I should take the groceries first..
I went out again, it was a good choise to take my coat because it was cold today, but I still wore the shorter skirt from the lunch with Linda and that I regretted now
I grabbed a basket in the store and started to fill it.. The note was slightly wrinkled and it was little hard to see.. Usually I didn't have any problems with my eyes but..
- Ohh.. I.. ohh.. sorry..
I fell forward on my knees and almost grabbed a strangers legs
- Are you alright miss?
He reached out his hand
I looked up and saw straight up in a pair of gentle blue eyes
- Typical me... Ms Clumpsy..
I picked up the list from the floor which now also was dirty and wet
- Shopping for Mrs Lewis?
Guess she was well known
I brushed my knees of and took the basket which he had picked up from the floor
- Thank you, ehh.. yes.. Yes I am
- You better not be late then
He smiled and winked at me
I just stood and stared after him like my feets were glued to the floor, he was the most attractive man that I ever seen, maybe in his late 40's, the hair had just begun to turn grey and he had wrinkles around his eyes when he... Fuck.. The bus...
I sped up and went from isle to isle and grabbed my things.. There.. Just the olive oil then..
Of course on the top shelf
- Hello again.. Let me get that one for you dear
- Ohh.. H.. Hi..
My heart skipped a beat
He was soooo handsome and.. Yes... Hot.. Could I say a man in my dad's age was hot?
- We have to stop meeting like this.. I'm Roger
I took his warm strong hand in mine, wonder if he was married.. kids
- Y/N
When the olive oil was in the basket I went to the cashier, I had pretty good time.. Until I froze...
- Shit...
I grabbed the stuff and ran out, the post office was still occupied with people and the bus would leave in 10...
- Fuck...
The little kind old lady would turn into a witch.. A monster or maybe worse...
A car pulled in next to me, and when the window went down I saw him...
- Looks like you need a ride love.., did you miss the bus?
How happy I was to see this man right yet again
He asked if I was new at this job, and I explained that it was not even my job, he said he was sure of that Mrs Lewis was going to be satisfied with me anyway and I didn't have to worry
- I wait in the car while you go in to her
- But.. The bus stop is...
- No, I don't want to hear it... I am right here ok?
I don't think Linda or anyone had delivered groceries that fast before, I even managed to borrow her phone to cancel the chelter dinner... I had totally different things in mind
- Y/N.. I.. I was wondering if you wanted a cup of coffee?
- Coffee?
I didn't want to laugh but he sounded so cute and little nervous
- Yeah.. I.. Well.. There is not much coffeeshops around here and and.. Ehh.. Well.. Damn... Thing is.. I can literally be your dad.. but..
I silenced him with my finger on his lips, he swallowed hard and let out a shaky breath
Then I could not hold it anymore, he was like gasoline on my body that had cached fire, I crashed my lips onto his and at once he opened his mouth and met my tongue, I moaned in his mouth and his fingers tangeled in my hair
- Ro.. Roger.. Let's go... home
- Mmmmm... I would love to.. But... You have let go of my shift gear hunnie...
We both laughed, the situation was kinda weird brutal.. comic.. sexy
His lips was still burning on mine, I couldn't stop looking at him now and then during the drive
He did a slight left turn up on a gravel road and I saw a huge mansion
- You live.. He.. here?
- Yea.. I do.. Every other week I am alone..
There was my answer, divorced.. kids
He stopped the car right outside the door and gaved my knee a gentle squeeze
- You don't change your mind dear?
- No... Not a chance...
He grabbed his bags and went straight the kitchen
I was totally amazed by the fireplace and how beautiful everything was.. Really tastefully decorated..
I suddenly felt his strong arms around me..
He kissed my hair and my neck and his warm breath made my skin prickle with tiny dots
- You are so beautiful hunnie.. so young.. Almost untouched..
- I am n..
- Ssscchhh... I want to discover you... It is MY first time with you..
He took my hand and I followed him upstairs into the bedroom
We stod across eachother and my heart was beating so hard that he must have heard it
He cupped my face with his big hands and kissed me, the kiss was more passionate yet hungry
I tried to unbutton his shirt but I just fumbled, he noticed what I was doing so he took over
- Let me take care of you now darling... It is your turn to relax
He did not know how right he had
As he enjoyed every moment, he took his time undressing me and exploring my body, he was so different, he was a gentleman he was older.. he knew what he was doing..
Every inch of me was covered by tiny tiny kisses and nibbles
- Roger.. I whimpered.. please..
- I know I know.. Soon...
I could not hold it anymore and he knew it, he kissed the sensitive skin above my breasts while he cupped them, I felt how hard he was towards my leg and he groaned a little when he finally circled my nipple with his tongue
- Ahhhh God ... Ohhh ..
It felt like electricity in my whole body, I grabbed his head and even if it felt so good what he was doing I needed more, I pushed his head down.. further down.. to my dripping core
He looked up at me and gaved me a mischievous smirk
That totally changed everything
He grabbed a pillow from next to me and tucked it under my butt, then he grabbed my thighs and pushed my legs wide apart
He took his palms under my ass so I opened up more for him, this man was an oral expert.. Shit... He sloppy kissed my pussy and dragged his flattened tounge up and down along my folds, I arched my back and tried to grab the sheets but he pinned me down
He then circled my clit so fast that my eyes rolled back in my head he sucked it in his mouth almost nibbled on it
- Ahhh shit Rog Fuck... Ahhhh damnit..
He continued to lick with a rapid pace and it was not long until my walls started to collapse
- Shit Omg I... Iam... Ahhhh Gooood... Ahhhh
I squirted on his tounge and he was quick to drink the full amount of me
- Mmm... You taste delicious mmm...
- Omg.. It was... Do you want me to...
- No... I said I wanted to take care of you...
He smirked and kissed his all the way up to my lips again..
- Now.. I didn't exactly plan this.. Are you...
He frowned a bit
- Yes, I am safe, I am on the pill..
- Glad you said that... Cause cannot fuckin wait any longer
I felt how his erected cock trailed near my entrance, after the tip was inside me it just took a few seconds for me to adjust to his size
- Omg hunnie, you feel so fuckin amazing.. Shit..
His head fell back and his pace increased, his hips snapped and I bucked my body up to meet his
- Ohhh Roger... Fuck.. Ahhh... Harder... Harder... Ohhh...
He took a grip on the bed frame and the other one he teared apart the sheets, sweat was dripping from his forehead down on my neck
I felt that he was close and I was not far behind myself
With almost pornographic sounds we came undone together, he emptied himself deep inside of me and my final contractions maked sure there was nothing left
- Ohh God.. You were amazing.. Truly amazing...
- Roger... Wow.. I... I have no words...
- Not so bad for an ol...
I smacked his upper arm
- Don't say it...
We laid tangled together for a bit, I could sense that he was thinking of something
- Are you sure you don't know who I am love?
I froze a little, what have I missed
- Should I... I mean... I am not from here...
He chuckled a little..
- Well... I don’t know if I should be honoured or nervous.. It was long time ago since nobody didn't know who I was
I was even more confused
Well... He was in late 40s.. Maybe he had put on some weight?... Hair.. Was it the hair? The glasses?
- I am hungry love, do you want something to eat?
- Sure.. OK...
He kissed me softly and he gaved me a bathrobe that I could borrow
I took a glimpse in the mirror.. I looked totally fucked, and I was.. but I happy too.. There could absolutely be something with this guy whoever he was.. Politics? No..
And kids? Fine.. As long as it is ok with the ex...
I bounced downstairs and heard him hum on something for himself in the kitchen
On the way there I passed a big wall... A wall full of gold disc's platinum records...
WOW... Really...
I palmed my forehead and did an eyeroll.. I had totally missed out that it was him
In the corner of my eye I saw that he was watching me and he walked in my direction
- I... I'm sorry... I didn't tell you
- And I'm sorry I didn't recognise you...
- Sssscchhh... You know what.. Mrs Lewis doesn't know either..
He kissed me softly
- So.. are you staying?
- I am not leaving.. Well.. Maybe just for posting a letter

Summary: Tasha ends up in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.
Tumblr media
Monday evenings in the Boseman household were typically quiet affairs. Now that CoCo had assumed the role of full-time stay at home mom, she was in charge of orchestrating the daily schedule. After all of the children had been assisted with homework, fed, bathed, and put to bed, the adults were afforded the opportunity to enjoy peace as the final hours of the day ticked away.
Tucked into soft Egyptian sheets on top of a spacious Wyoming king bed, Tasha and Chadwick lay cuddled in the middle preparing for sleep until the buzz of an unseen cell phone disturbed the atmosphere.
“Oh, what the fuck,” Tasha grumbled in the dark bedroom as she extended her arm to search the nightstand for her device.
Chadwick chuckled at his wife’s outburst and shifted in bed to flick on the bedside lamp, “Who is it?”
“It’s Tiana. She better have a reason for interrupting my sleep or I’m gon’ cuss her ass out.” Chadwick continued to laugh at his wife’s tantrum knowing that his sister-in-law was in for less than enthusiastic greeting. He’d been a victim of CoCo’s wrath after waking her prematurely on several occasions.
Reluctantly sliding her finger across the screen, she quickly tapped the speaker icon to answer.
“What, Tiana?”
“I’m gonna tell daddy that you yelled at me.”
“Sis, I have two kids and a husband. I can yell at who I wanna.” Realizing her statement’s implications, Tasha changed her tune. “But, like, we don’t need to get him involved. Stop being a tattletale!”
“If you take me with you to the spa, I’ll keep quiet.”
CoCo looked over to Chadwick who smiled and nodded. “Fine. But make sure you thank Aaron. Because your ass would’ve been grass. Now, what do you want this late at night?”
“Tasha, it is 9: 30 pm. The sun has been down for thirty minutes TOPS! Why are you already asleep?”
“My baby needs her beauty rest, TiTi,” Chadwick laughed. “Sixteen hours is the minimum for the lady of the house.
“I’ll never understand how you spoil her so much but I think it’s cute. Anyway, T, have you seen the season premiere of Basketball Wives Atlanta.”
“Girl, what,” Tasha exclaimed, turning her nose up at the mention of the franchise. “You know I don’t watch that trash.”
“Well, friend, you might wanna take a look at this one. It’s on right now. Call me back when it’s over.”
Before Tasha could press her sister for more answers, Tiana hung up with no further explanation. Chadwick was the next person to move, pulling the remote out of the nightstand drawer to turn on their seldom-used television. When the show’s main theme rolled through the soundbar speakers to signal its return from commercial break, Tasha winced at the sound.
Living in Los Angeles, especially after marrying into a lifestyle characterized by exposure to all types of celebrities, had resulted in a plethora of run-ins for CoCo. She’d met and partied with Hollywood’s elite at event after parties, sipped a beer at more intimate events with Black entertainment’s finest and, unfortunately, brushed elbows with those that desired fame and would do anything to attain exposure. Some of those brush ups were resolved with quick but concise warnings. Others took a bit more...convincing.
“Living in Atlanta and starting this new single period in my life is fun, so I called up a couple of my girls and we had a little roof-top party to bring the boys out.”
Tasha’s eyes snapped up toward the TV in horror, “Oh no.”
“Right. I think I see the lace in her wig. Is that what y’all call it? The shit that looks like a screen door? You gotta tell your girl Malaysia that she missed the mark with this one.”
Chadwick’s sudden interest in the reality tv show caused him to miss his wife’s obvious discomfort as memories pushed to the darkest recesses of her mind came forth.
------------
“Tasha, you want another drink?” Wrapped up in scrolling through her cell phone to view pictures of her family, CoCo completely missed her friend’s question until her space was invaded with a tap to her shoulder. “Hey, d’you hear me? Want another drink?”
“Wha-uh, yeah. Please, be heavy on the D'usse this time. And a glass of water please.”
Malaysia nodded and smiled, “Ya know, for somebody who is hell-bent on sitting over here by their damn self, you sure are turning these back.”
“It’s just the cameras and shit. I’m not used to it like you.”
“Girl, don’t worry about them. They’re just here for some b-roll and then they’ll be out. Gotta catch me meeting some of these menzzzz!”
“You sure that’s it? None of that arguing shit the girls like to do for the blogs?”
Tasha was well aware of the typical reality show antics and wanted no part in them. She came out to celebrate her friend’s housewarming and decision to get back on the dating scene, not entertain a bunch of young girls looking for their fifteen minutes in the spotlight.
“That’s it, housewife!”
“Excuse me? That’s Mrs. Housewife to you,” Tasha laughed. “Alright, I’ll get up and mingle a little for my girl. My outfit is too cute to not be seen anyway.”
The pair shared a laugh as CoCo’s glass was quickly replaced with a new, stronger concoction. It wasn’t long before Tasha began to welcome conversation, moving between groups to discuss whatever was on the docket. She even served as the host of an impromptu speed dating game to help Malaysia narrow down the potential partners in the room. With a buzz from the dark liquor in her fourth glass, Tasha was the center of attention and unaware of the cameras that she spent so much time worrying about.
At some point, when the flow of alcohol and conversation were at their peak, Malaysia turned to CoCo to give the group advice.
“Okay, Tasha, tell us how you ended up with like, the best man available. I need the secret.”
“Girl, there is no secret. We’re a regular couple with regular problems.”
“Yeah, right,” Malaysia responded with an accusatory look on her face. “Let me tell y’all, those two will argue and make up in the same sentence. Then 3 business days later she’s in new Balenciagas. So, sis, I’ll ask you again, what is the secret?”
Just as Tasha prepared to offer up a little piece of advice her mother shared with her before tying the knot, a low murmur from an unfamiliar face across the circle caught her attention.
“I’m sorry, you wanna say that again? I missed the conversation.”
“No, I’m good. Continue.”
In her mind, Tasha wrestled with her next steps. Whoever the young woman was appeared to be well below the age where common sense was actually common but old enough to know the meaning of respect. Feeling loose and open for
“I insist, sweetheart. Please, share with the class. We could all use some advice.” Prolonged silence from the offending party drew curious stares from the rest of the group and a satisfied smirk from Tasha. “Nothing? Great. As I was saying, the secret is to su-”
“The secret is to steal another woman’s man right before he’s about to propose to his girlfriend. Right, CoCo?”
At the sound of her nickname, Tasha placed her glass on the table and straightened her back, “See, baby, you called me CoCo. That means you either know me or know somebody that wishes they were in my position. So, which one is it?”
“I know that your husband was in a relationship until you came around. I know that he was about to propose to my friend but you fucked him during your charity party to stop him.”
“What I’m hearing is not only are you dumb but you’re a liar too. You know what I do to children that lie in my face? I whoop their asses.”
“Okay, that’s enough,” Malaysia exclaimed in an effort to deescalate the situation. “Tasha, let’s go get you some more water.”
Feeling like she’d made her point, CoCo allowed her friend to gently pull her off of the wicker couch and attempt to lead her away from the budding confrontation.
“Get her old ass out of here. All bark and no bite.”
“Bitch, please! Do you really think I’d scuff these shoes to fight a little girl in Fashion Nova leggings,” Tasha asked as she yanked away from the grip on her arm.
“I’m not gone be too many more bitches.”
“You gon’ be as many bitches as I decide to call you, bitch. Now what?” When her words were met with little more than a childing stomp and pout, Tasha took it upon herself to be dismissed from the festivities. “Malaysia, girl, I will talk to you later. How’s dinner tomorrow?”
“That works girl! Drive sa-”
The loud shatter of glass and subsequent debris from its collision made both women stop in their tracks and slowly turn to face the rest of the party.
“This little bitch gon’ make me whoop her ass. Hold my bag.”
-------------
Chadwick’s laughter and the television competed for Tasha’s attention while she hid her head underneath the duvet.
“Honestly, I’m not even mad at Tasha. I would have beat her ass too. But that’s my girl and she has a reputation to uphold so...unfortunately security had to step in the mix.”
“Okay, that’s enough. Turn it off. Please.”
“You ‘re faster than I thought, baby. And that lunge was very graceful.”
“Turn it off, Chad!”
“Alright, alright.” His hands went up in playful surrender before shutting the TV off and turning to his wife. She’s finally emerged from her blanket coffin but with a glossy sheen covering her eyes and a pout identical to Micah’s. “Aww, come here, baby girl. Come here.”
“I’m a reality tv show bitch,” Tasha wailed as Chadwick pulled her into his chest for a hug. “I should just move out and be on B-bad Girls Cluuuub.”
“You are not moving out, Mike Tyson. I need you here to keep us safe.”
“Oh my Gooood. My kids are gonna think I some...some...guttersnipe!”
“A what?” There was no use in trying to calm Tasha while she was in full panic mode. Any words of encouragement would be disregarded and only serve to exacerbate the already tense situation. So, Chadwick absorbed all of her tears in the cotton of his t-shirt until she had cried all of her embarrassment away and unveiled a thin layer of anger.
“I can’t believe I let her get me out of my element like that. I mean...I’m me! I’m Tasha fucking Greene Boseman.”
“Greene Boseman! That’s right, baby. You are that bitch.”
“Right! I like when you say that. I’m that bitch! The motherfuckin’ prototype!”
“Gahdamn prototype!”
“These lil’ girls hope and pray to be this fine in their 40s.”
“God please let me be as fine as Tasha Boseman,” Chadwick chimed in a comically high-pitched voice.
“Tuh! I’m a bad bitch.”
“Mhmmm. Now come here and show me how bad you can get.” His little kisses up her arm on the way to her collarbone made Tasha giggle, nearly completing Chadwick’s mission. That was until the soft ring of her phone alerted her to an incoming FaceTime call. “Nuh uh. Let it go to voicemail.”
“It’ll be quick, babe. I promise.” Pulling his face from the crook of her neck, he gave her a look of disbelief. “It’s just the girls. I’ll get them off the phone in five minutes!”
Chadwick grumbled an incoherent sentence about never getting what he wanted before dramatically setting a timer on his cell phone and placing it in his wife’s lap. “Five minutes, Cookie.”
“I’ll make it four, baby,” she answered in the sweetest voice she could muster.
Pressing the answer button on the call, the line sat silent for a few seconds before all of the women let out a long “biiiiiitch” in unison. Chadwick knew what was coming and silently pleaded with his wife not to go any further. His attempts were futile as she began a lengthy rant that propelled her out of the bed and into her vanity area in the closet to finish the conversation.
When she was out of earshot, Chadwick grabbed the remote to rewind the episode and begin at the height of the conflict. He smiled at his wife’s aggression, feeling his heart soar and excitement stir in his belly.
“My girl, the fighter. Use your left, baby. There you go!”

Road Trip (Part 8)
Thank you all for the wait!  There be smut!

Part 8 of Road Trip

Tumblr media
When it came to be a good time I woke up Rufo, despite the small protests for some extra shut eye he made.  He really did love his rest.  Maybe because he never really got enough when he was always on the road?  I didn’t really know so I was glad he was at least getting some extra shut eye.
“We should grab a hotel room for the night. I bet you’re beat from all the driving today.”  He grunted as he let his jacket fall into his lap when he sat up.  “Tomorrow we can camp out.  Weather channel said this morning it was going to storm again tonight and by the looks of them clouds it’s about to hit soon.  I don’t want you to get caught up in another storm.”
“Thanks, Rufo.  And thank you for that night.  I don’t usually have someone there for me during storms.  I wish they didn’t get to me, but it was nice to have someone with me for a change.”  I grabbed my bag and I grabbed his before he could which made him finally crack a smile.
“Trying to be the gentleman now?”  He grabbed the bags from me with such ease and when I tried to take them back he had already turned quickly on his heel to walk into the hotel. “Come on.  I can hear some reruns of Cops calling our names.”  He called back to me and I hurried to get caught up to him, a smile at the corner of my lips.
It was already starting to storm outside as we got settled into the room.  We were already changed into our pajamas when the first wave of thunder started.  He even had gotten into his clown look, which I couldn’t help but to watch again as he peeled his human face away.  When a loud crack of thunder sounded closer by Rufo saw me stiffen up.  He came up behind me and put his arm around my shoulder.  He guided me to his bed and had me lay down then laid beside me.  With the heavy comforter pulled over the both of us he slipped an arm around me to hold me close to his chest.  We didn’t exchange looks or words as I held onto him when more thunder and lightning flashed outside.  Even with the curtain pulled back, the lightning illuminated just a little bit of the room.
Being so close to him and being held by him made my heart flutter in that familiar way.  The feelings I had done my best to push away only bubbled back up to the surface. Even in the little moments they would try to rear their heads.  They were getting harder and harder to ignore the more time spent with him.  Even after finding out everything about him I couldn’t deny that I liked him.  I liked him a lot.  I shouldn’t have but I did, and I couldn’t ignore these feelings anymore.  I knew that after we part ways and I didn’t listen to them once I would regret it.
I wasn’t brave often and I suppose the anxiety about what was going on outside was playing in a role to ignore my nerves to finally kiss him.  I propped myself up with some determination, even if I knew it probably wouldn’t end well. Rufo raised a brow as he watched me, probably curious if I was alright.  He was going to say something when I leaned into him, pressing my lips to his.  Rufo let out a surprised hum, his arm holding me tighter as his body stiffened in shock.  For a second there I thought he was going to get angry with me with what I had done, especially as he flipped me over onto my back so he could pin me with such inhuman ease.  His body loomed over me, his bright glowing eyes staring down into mine with a snarl to his lips.
“I wouldn’t suggest that doll.  You have no idea what you’re getting yourself into.” His voice had dropped to a growl but that wasn’t helping his case.
“I have an idea of what I’m getting into.”  One of my hands had slipped onto the back of his neck to kiss him again.  After the kiss broke he placed his hand around my throat and squeezed, just enough so I could barely breath.
“You have no idea doll.  None at all.”  There was a snarl at the corner of his lips and there was a look of surprise as I grabbed his wrist, not to pull it off but to urge him to squeeze tighter.  “You’re just full of surprises (Y/N).  Maybe we’ll see what other surprises you got lurking away in that head of yours.”
Rufo’s other hand slipped up my shirt, going slowly as he felt the softness of my flesh on his rough fingertips.  My back arched off the bed just a little as his hand finally groped my breast.  My eyelids fluttered as he circled my nipple then twisted it between his fingers.  His grip on my neck loosened as he twisted, letting me breath and to moan out with each thing he did.
“Wanna see a magic trick?”  A cruel smirk grew on his face and I nodded just barely which made him chuckle.  “Good. Very good.”  With the flick of his wrist a knife appeared suddenly in his hand. Honestly, it was impressive but now was not the time to focus on that.  “Tada!  And now to make this shirt disappear.  Maybe even see what your pain tolerance is like, doll.”
And disappear it did as he slipped the knife underneath and cut a hole in it at the very top, all the way down to the hem. It wasn’t long for the remnants of cloth to be discard to the side.  He sat up on his knees as he started to lightly drag the tip of the knife across my skin, just enough to leave an angry red mark.  I stayed still as best I could, fear and arousal making my heart race. He placed the tip back on my breast and started to lightly dig in.
“Maybe leave you a little something to remember this night.  Can’t have you forgetting about me so easily now can I?”  He chuckled lowly as the knife cut a line into my breast which made me cry out, both in pain and pleasure.  “Something simple.  Maybe my name.  You’d like that, wouldn’t you?  Yeah, you would.”
Before he got to cutting more into my flesh he leaned down to lick at the blood that had seeped out.  He sucked hard enough to leave a hickey around the cut before he turned his attention to the flesh on my hip.  With a firm hand on my leg to keep it down he got to etching his name into my skin.  Moans and loud whimpering fell from my lips as he made quick and clean work of each letter, making sure each one was perfect like the last.
“There.  That’s nice. Isn’t it doll?”  He grinned at me; a bit of blood had dripped down his lip that he licked at.  I looked down to his name now etched into my skin and nodded.  It indeed did look nice and I could tell it would scar over well. A little reminder.
He lapped at the blood that oozed from his name while he worked on shimmying my pants off the rest of the way.  He even cut my underwear away before tossing the knife to the side, letting it clatter to the floor without a care.  His hand slid up my leg and his fingers grazed my clit, making me gasp out and parting my legs more for him.
“Such an obedient thing.  Always listening so well and doing as told.  Isn’t that right (Y/N)?”  He cooed, something sinister and dark in his voice.
“Yes, Rufo.”  My words wavered just a little as he started to slide two fingers into me, my walls squeezing at the intrusion.  “Yes, yes please.”
“Gooood girl.  You’re going to listen to Rufo, and he’ll take good care of you.  Don’t you worry that pretty little head of yours.” His fingers were starting to pump quickly, reaching deep and hitting all the right places as they curled ever so slightly.  “Already so wet for me?  Only took a couple cuts and me to squeeze your neck?  My, my doll.  Aren’t you just downright naughty?”  He laughed as I whimpered out, nodding quickly.  “Bet you want to suck my cock.  You want your lips around it and me to fuck that pretty throat of yours.  Get on your knees like a good girl and I’ll fuck it real good.”
When his fingers slipped from me I did as told and got onto my knees on the floor in front of the bed.  Rufo swung his legs over the bed, slipping off his pants then underwear to free his cock.  It was white like the rest of him and the blue happy trail led to a blue bush.  His cock was thick, and some veins bulged out along the length of it.  I could feel my mouth watering as I looked at it then up at him.  He stood up from where he was and slipped a hand to the back of my head.  He didn’t need to say anything as I opened my mouth for him as he grabbed his cock to guide it into my mouth.  He groaned out as he took his time at first but that didn’t last too long.  Not even as my throat was like it was burning and my jaw stung from the pain of the rough pace he had now set.  Both of his hands had gripped the side of my head and my nails were digging into the pale white flesh of his hips.  Words spilled from his lips, calling me a nasty little slut, a dirty girl who wanted to be filled with his cock, how he was going to make me cry and beg for him to stop but he was going to use me over and over until he was satisfied.  I ate it all up though.  Every word he said was music to my ears and the way he was using my mouth only made the heat between my legs grow more intense.
After a proper amount of drool had made its way down my chin he finally pulled me off and I could get in a deep breath to fill my lungs.  With inhuman ease he tossed me back onto the bed.  It was his turn for a taste and as he went down my body he sunk his teeth into my skin.  Each bite made me moan and cry out, a beg without words for more which he happily obliged until he got where he wanted to.  His large hands easily pried my thighs open wider for him so he could take in the sight before him.  With a few more bites to my inner thigh, ones that would bruise well and beautifully he remarked, he got to work with his tongue on my clit.  He had to keep a hand on my hip to keep me down as I squirmed and arched off the bed.  He was groaning as he sucked and lapped at me, dipping his tongue into me now and then. My hands made their way into his hair to grab onto something and to tug which only egged him on even more.  He enjoyed edging me over and over and when he saw the tears streaming down my cheek he chuckled which only got me closer again as it vibrated against me.
“You want to cum so bad?  Not yet doll.  Oh no, not yet.  I want this to be special.”  He was licking his lips as he moved back over me, letting his cock press against me.  “God, look at you.  So desperate and needy.  All nice and bloody, covered in marks.  Could drive a man to kill, (Y/N).”
He leaned down to plant a kiss on my lips, letting me taste myself on his tongue as it slipped past my lips.  With a moan coming from me at the kiss he started to slide into me.  He was taking his time, letting me adjust to his size which I was thankful for. Though once he was fully inside me he set an almost bruising pace.  His face was in a snarl, his eyes glaring down at me as he watched my every move while I screamed and whimpered for him.  It was hard to hear anything going on outside with the sound of our skin slapping viciously together.  I couldn’t even find a care in the world for anyone who had the rooms next ours.  All I could care was the way his name spilled from my lips, the way his hands roughly grabbed my body as if he would tear me apart, the way his eyes sunk into their sockets slowly as his skin pulled against itself to make him look like a corpse.  He was so terrifying looking that I hardly even noticed the smell of old death until he got his face into mine and laughed, making sure I had inhaled deeply.
“How does it feel to get fucked by the undead (Y/N)? How does it feel to be fucked by a monster who can tear you limb from limb?”  Rufo taunted me as he suddenly pulled out, flipping me over onto my stomach with such ease.  His grip was almost burning as he grabbed onto my hips to pull me up onto my hands and knees, thrusting right back into me to get back to his pace.   One hand went into my hair to pull my head back up, his other hand giving blow after blow on my ass.  “Tell me doll!  Don’t hold back on me now!”
There had been a mirror that was hanging over the bed and finally I could see my face and how I looked.  I hadn’t even noticed the tears that had gone down my cheek and they still were going.  God, it felt so good though.  Each smack only made me cry out more and he was eating it all up.  Any time I screamed out his name he smacked harder. I could already feel the bruises forming but I didn’t care.  I was so close, and he could feel as my walls squeezed down on him.  As I was starting to squeeze around him he lifted me up, so my back was flat against him, his arm around my shoulders and waist.  My hands instinctively went to grab at his waist to try to keep myself stable even though there was no need.  Rufo was so warm against my back, almost to the point of it being painful.  His nails were digging so hard into my skin that he pierced through and I could feel the blood ever so slightly making its way down my skin.  His face made its way to the side of my head to bury into my hair, taking in my scent and letting me hear him growl inhumanly with every thrust.
“Cum for me.  I want this whole damn town to know who gave you exactly what you needed.” His voice was a hiss in my ear, demanding with every word that came out of his mouth.
And I couldn’t help but give into those demands.
“Rufo!”  His name came out louder than before as I finally went over, my body shuddering in his grip.  Stars came into my vision as I rode out my climax and Rufo never eased up his pace.
His name was the only coherent thing I could say, following by the mewling and whining mumbles that followed through. I could tell Rufo was getting close, I could feel his cock twitching and his breathing was becoming more ragged, his thrusts getting more erratic.  It wasn’t long until he pulled out and stroked himself until he came.  He sunk his teeth into my shoulder which made me cry out again.  He growled with every twitch of his cock as his cum covered my back and his stomach.  When he was done he let go of my shoulder and I could feel his tongue licking at the blood and there were even a few tender kisses beside the bite.  When my eyes opened again I noticed he was back to his normal alive looking clown self.  Well, mostly. Blood covered and ran down his chin and his hair was more wild than usual.
“Nice and easy doll.  Nice and easy.”  Rufo cooed as he laid me down on my stomach.  My body felt weak and if I stood I most certainly would fall back down. “I’m going to get you all cleaned up. Just relax there for me.”  He brushed some hair from my face, and I watched from the corner of my eyes as he left.  My eyes fell shut in exhaustion and I could feel how hard my heart pounded from our little excursion.  Though my eyes shot open when I felt the cold wetness of a cloth dabbing away at my warm skin.  “Careful there, doll.  Don’t move around too much.”  His voice was soft and soothing, such a drastic comparison to just a few minutes ago. “There we go.  Old Rufo’s got you.”
He had me cleaned up in no time and I was like a rag doll in his hand which made him chuckle.  When he was done he tossed the bloody rag into the sink of the bathroom and laid down beside me.  He put on the reruns of Cops and had me curl up to his side.  It didn’t take me long to fall asleep.  The storm outside didn’t matter.  The stress of someone trying to find him didn’t matter.
        I should have known better.
