Hold Me Close
11th Doctor x gn!reader; fluff
summary: it’s been a long–however long it’s been–and now the Doctor just needs some rest. maybe some comfort is needed too
a/n: took me over a decade to finally watch this show and now I’ve gone and fallen head over heels for Matt Smith. here’s a lil sleepy imagine for ya, sorry if he’s a bit ooc—I just want some fluff. set at no specific point ♡
Tumblr media Tumblr media
His skin was warm and soft under your fingertips. Your eyes flicker from his peaceful resting expression to your hand caressing his cheek. He never looks this calm while awake. The childlike glee that surrounded him like a radiant aura was there, but just behind it was something, well, it was hard to describe. Like seeing something move in your peripheral vision or catching a familiar scent from your childhood, for a split second it was there and the next—gone.
With a small sigh, you push the thought from your head. You had just gotten back from running for your lives yet again and the thoughts swarming and circling in your mind were starting to give you a headache. And truth be told, you worried about him. Sure, he was over 900 years old and had experienced so much but-
The Doctor almost seemed to sense your stress and rolled over a bit, shifting onto his back almost an invitation for you to rest your head upon his chest. And who were you to deny such an invitation?
Careful not to jostle him, you scoot closer and lower your head against him. The sound of his two hearts beating and his scent are oddly comforting, drawing you further into him. Before you’re consciously aware of it, you’re burying yourself in him; arms come up to wrap around his torso completely of their own accord. On what can only be described as reflex, arms are returning the motion and suddenly you’re locked against the man you’ve been wanting for so long.
A sound of contentment perhaps? rumbles out of his chest, firing up a wave a butterflies in your stomach. You squeeze your eyes shut for a moment, willing the feeling to go away or at least settle down. But it doesn’t. You feel hot where his arms hold you and, you suppose, so does everywhere else he’s touching.
It takes several minutes, but your body finally manages to calm back down. The fluttery feeling isn’t completely gone, but gets quickly replaced with a jolt of panic when the doctor shifts under you.
You maneuver your head in his grip to look up at his face and your panic is justified by the fact that he seems to be waking up. Squirming in a futile attempt to release yourself from his grasp only makes it worse as his hold tightens.
“What are you trying to get away for?” His eyes are still closed, voice laced with a hint of exhaustion but still matter of fact as always.
The silence pierces the air and lingers for a few moments before his eyes blearily blink open.
You’ve turned your head away but you can feel his gaze on you, blush rising on your cheeks. “Uh, no reason.”
“You can go if you’d like, but” he hesitates and you wonder if it’s because he’s somehow unsure of himself.
“Do you want me to stay Doctor?” Try as you might, your voice trembles slightly at the fear of him suddenly rejecting you.
His grip never falters but his tone drops, “please,” it reminds you of the tone he had when he told you he was the last of his kind, wandering the whole of time and space. You remember the look on his face— how could you ever forget— a man who, whether he’d admit it aloud or not, desperately needed comfort.
“I’m not going anywhere,” your tone is hushed to match his, arms finding their way back around him. You feel lips press onto the top of your head and releasing the breath you didn’t realize you were holding, you sink back down into his embrace.

I'm sorry for any mistakes or messing up OP's fantasy!
Tumblr media
The air vent whirred loudly. She wiped the fridge door handle one more time, eyes glancing around the floor.
The tutoring session didn’t start until 6:00 PM but Yonghee always showed up five minutes early. Coat closet door squeaking as she threw the broom inside the dusty space.
The doorbell rang loudly. Chipped polish from the tips of her nails snagged at the loose tendrils she brushed behind her ears. Dragging her feet, she scanned for any messes she might have missed.
She made a vow to clean up after herself more routinely - instead of letting small messes clutter up until she had to worry about another human being seeing how she lived. Especially someone perfect. Smart. Put-together.
    Yonghee.
Giving herself a few moments to catch her breath, adjusting the fit of her blouse as she stood beside the front door. Maybe it was too tight at the neck? Chest? She certainly wasn’t perfect.
    Far from.
He was her tutor, helping her with her math homework, she couldn’t mess around with the idea of flirting with him. What she was concerned about wasn’t looking attractive to him. But she still had to present herself well. She couldn’t have her tutor thinking she was lazy.
Her chest felt bubbly, like she could float into the air when she opened the door. Hands in his trousers pockets, blazer unbuttoned, and red tie impeccably in place against his creaseless white button-up, Yonghee looked more like her professor than her classmate. His round black framed glasses gave off an otherworldly maturity as he nodded to her in greeting.
She could barely say more than a couple words to him as she let him in. His sparkling brown eyes lit up, jawline sharp as he smiled. Pearly white teeth shining, his high cheekbones heightening his handsome features. Almost lost in his beauty, she looked away.
“Are you thirsty?” She walked over to her small white refrigerator in her tiny kitchen. “I have water or apple juice. Or beer?”
“Water is fine, thanks.” His handling was careful as he set his shoes aside. Her body felt the familiar heat tingle up her stomach as Yonghee stood beside her, their shoulders touching as he washed his hands alongside her. “This soap smells good. Did you buy a new brand?”
“You notice things like that?” Her head ached as hot blood rushed up to her head, neck and cheeks burning. He’d licked his lips as he smiled, eyes downcast.
“You buy very good smelling soaps. I like this new scent too.”
Her blouse felt heavy as the sensation of the silky fabric brushed against her skin. She turned away, hands grasping the paper towels from the rack that sat beside her glass kettle. The heat of his body created goosebumps up her back as he grabbed his own paper towel, reaching around her.
She walked away from their close space together, getting two bottles of water out of her fridge. Watching him fold his damp paper towel before setting it down on the counter for reuse. He’d apologized profusely the first handful of times he kept throwing them into the trash after one use.
“How did your Geometry test go?” He sat to her left at the kitchen table. Her back faced the front door and living room.
Opening her Geometry book, she pulled out the five page quiz she took three days before. There were giant red marks all over the front page. A high, sweet whistle rang as he held her quiz up toward the lamp that sat behind him.
“73% is a lot better than 59%.” Body feeling like it was a hot summer day, her blouse was heavy against the tops of her breasts. “I know I could have done better. I keep confusing congruent and similar triangles.”
“That’s a great improvement.” His long fingers ran along the edge of the paper as he set it down. Her cheeks were ready to burst - like cherry tomatoes - his smile was sweet, eyes locking with hers. “Should we go over the questions you got wrong?”
Tucking her left foot under her right leg, she leaned over as Yonghee picked up his black mechanical pencil. His thumb circled the eraser at the bottom end a couple times before clicking down to push out the lead tip. Dark tendrils fell over his forehead, head tilted down at the quiz.
“Problem 4-” his pencil tapped against paper “-you forgot about the length of the third side. Despite being correct with the equal sides, that was the error.”
Stomach aching, like something was growing inside. Up her chest.
“I was so excited that I had written the equation down right, I can’t believe I forgot such a small thing.”
“Hey, it’s OK.” His hand was over hers. The tone in his voice had gotten even softer. Like  a soft gust of wind. “Going over your mistakes is a good exercise. How else will you improve? A lot of people forget about the third side all the time.”
The pink shade of his lips were the same shade as the panties she wore, making her stomach tingle like butterflies had been unleashed inside of her. His smile always made his eyes sparkle, even though the light of the lamp was behind him.
Faking a cough, she freed her hand from his warm hold. Threw it over her mouth to look away. Hoping the sudden rush of butterflies inside would disappear. Wings thrashing against her chest and heart.
“I should write this down.” She pulled out her stack of yellow Post-It notes, clicking the end of her pen against the table with her free hand. Deep breath, hoping the butterflies would settle down.
For a while, they worked methodically together. He’d glance at the problem she got wrong, tell her where her mistake was, and she’d write down notes. The Post-It notes were placed inside her spiral notebook, each note having had Yonghee’s thick index finger gliding over it to make sure they remained adhered to her notebook.
Her eyes were strained. Mind unable to track how long they’d been working. The mole she marveled so much at the corner of his eye came into view as he tilted his head down, capturing her gaze. Pretty inkspot on his creamy skin.
“Are you tired? Should we do a stretch break?”
He pushed his chest into the air as he brought up his arms, stretching them over his shoulders, flexing his elbows before throwing his fists up into the air over his head. Butterflies tickling her belly as his broad shoulders cracked. He’d pulled his blazer off. Shoulders looking so broad in his bleach white shirt.
“Did you want coffee or tea?”
“No. It’s too late for caffeine.”
Tilting her head from side to side, she looked away from Yonghee’s gaze, eyes focusing on problem 36, one of the last problems she’d gotten wrong. Tension in her shoulders and neck loosened as the familiar cracking of her joints made noise when she rolled her shoulders back. Heat hit her cheeks as she locked eyes with Yonghee again.
“Nice.” He smiled, eyes crinkling up. His handsome features brightened into sweet affection. “I knew we needed a stretch break.”
    “I don’t know why I’m so tense.”
It was because Yonghee was beside her, smiling his innocently perfect smile, smelling like fresh linen and dew. Looking sexier than every before with loose tendrils falling over his eyes. Her chest shook deep inside, the million of butterflies rushing round and round her heart.
His eyes moved down to the quiz that sat between their arms. She saw his lips moving but all she heard were noises, her mind unable to turn them into cohesive words. After a deep breath, her mind connected the noises with words.
Settle down, butterflies. Please, settle down.
“-in relation to the rectangle, not the triangles within it.”
“Oh, I see.” She licked her lips, nervous. She’d taken nothing in. If she asked him to explain again, he’d know she hadn’t been paying attention. Worst tutor student ever. “Thank you, Yonghee. You’re so sweet. Coming here and teaching me so late. I probably waste so much of your time being so slow learning Geometry. As you know, I’ve never been good at math.”
Mortified that she was babbling, she shifted her eyes down as his tongue licked his lips. They remained fixed on her blank Post-It notes as she thought of the pink dots she’d noticed flush up his cheeks. Her face was hot and her blouse felt heavy against her chest again.
The sensation of hot blood rushing up her head finally dissipated. The insides of her ears stopped hearing loud ocean waves crash around as she realized the room had been silent for much longer than a minute.
Yonghee had gone silent. The blurry corners of her limited vision were still, like he’d stopped moving too.
    “Yonghee?”
“You will never waste my time. Every moment with you is special. No one cares for me like you do. I wish I could show you how much I want to care for you too. This tutoring is nothing.”
She finally set her pen down and tilted her head up. His eyes were darting back and forth gently, studying her face. As she felt a hand on her neck, she touched his neck too. His face was coming in closer. His eyes were closing, so she did the same. His lips warmed hers.
Her mind spun as the scent of his cologne filled her nose, infiltrating her mouth. Down her throat.
She wanted more as his tongue wet her lips. Humming gently before she pushed her own tongue against his. His large, soft thumb caressed her jawline. Glided down the side of her neck.
Fingers grabbing the collar of his shirt, she inhaled as she let him shove his tongue roughly into her mouth, moaning softly. Cool air touched her slickened lips as he broke their kiss.
Her fingers slipped down his arm as he pulled away, one hand touching her chin. She wanted to blurt out how much she’d been wanting to kiss him, but she felt tears welling up in her eyes. If she did anything, she might cry.
She shut her eyes, his lips over hers. The familiar musk and taste of sugary candy filled her senses. Hot tears pricked her eyelashes. Hands against his chest, she pushed him away, breathing heavily through her mouth.
Eyes wide, he mirrored her breathing as she stood. Grabbing his hands, she tugged, hoping he would stand up. Tongue licking his lips, he grinned as he stood, hands shooting to her hips as he stood.
    “Oof!”
Her mind blanked. She lost sense of gravity - air leaving her lungs.
A moment passed as she realized her back had hit the wall, Yonghee’s sturdy body pressed against hers. Her mouth ajar, she inhaled dramatically, hands planted against his chest.
“Are you OK?” His eyes were soft, fingers caressing her cheek, tilting her head up to look him in the eyes. Nodding, she pressed her lips together. “Can I kiss you again?”
    “Yes.”
His thumb brushed over her lips, making heat surge down her chest to her stomach. Eyes shut. Knees weak. Yonghee’s hips pressing against hers.
Biting her bottom lip, she bunched the fabric of his shirt into her fists. Their lips met again, his sweet kisses consuming her.
Wrapping her arms around his neck her finger raked through his soft tendrils. His tongue flicked against her lips with every kiss. She teased him; parting her lips the slightest bit with every tug from him. His gentle hum against her lips as he paused to press their lips together shook her sinuses, reverberating down her spine.
His lips on her neck, she bucked up against him. Breathing in deeply through her mouth. Knuckle lodged between her teeth, she bit down as her hold around him tightened, stifling a moan. His fingers massaged her flesh as they explored her back and hips.
When his fingers caressed the inside of her thigh, heat surged up her insides, making the heat between her legs noticeably warmer. She released him, hands back to his chest. Her whole body filled up with butterflies, her mind spinning with jumbled thoughts. As much as she wanted more, she firmly pushed against his chest, making him break their kisses.
“Have you had dinner?” Her fingers brushed the loose hairs away from his forehead.
“I’m not very hungry right now.” His stomach grumbled loudly between them as it shook against her front.
“Let’s order something.” She laughed as the apples of his cheeks flushed pink. “You need to eat.”
She sat down on the couch with her legs crossed in front of her, feet tucked underneath as she scrolled through her phone.
The local fish and rice restaurant sold a tofu and bamboo soup she enjoyed, and they also sold a boiled chicken and rice dish that was quite popular. With one arm around her waist, body resting against hers, he held her close. She was seated in the sun with him.
Her focus was barely hanging on by a thread as he cooed gentle affirmations into her ear, finger continually brushing her loose baby hairs away from her face.
“We don’t need to order rice. I have some.”
His lips warmed the pulse on her neck. A gentle “Mmm-hmm” vibrated against the front of her throat. She moaned, his tongue flicking her skin.
“I-I-I like boiled chicken. Do you want me to order some?”
“Yes.” His nose nuzzled against the back of her ear. His deep inhale sent shivers down her spine. “You smell like lavender and peony, so sweet. So warm.”
His fingertips’ strokes against her skin sent heat rushing down her neck. By the time she finalized the order, his lips were back on her neck, sending goosebumps down her chest and back.
    “Yonghee.”
His lips were over hers. She grabbed his tresses to direct him into a better kiss. Her arms tightened around his neck as his arms parted her legs, settling himself between them.
She gasped against his lips as she felt the heat of his cock against her clothed center, the weight of his hips creating a heavy upwards friction that pushed against her labia.
“That feels so good,” she breathed against his lips, nails digging into the flesh of his neck.
“I don’t want to rush it,” he said softly.
“Liar!” She laughed as she pushed against his chest.
His eyes were heavily hooded as he planted his hands on her hips. Bucked his hips against her again, harder and faster.
She cried out, feeling her chest ache, gasping for air. Arms hooking under his armpits, she clung onto his shoulders as she thrust against his motions.
The friction sent waves of fiery heat deep into her core. Her insides were hot and wet. Sweat and arousal making her whole body tingle.
“Do you want to do more than this?” He quickened his thrusting, hands grabbing her wrists as she loosened her grip on him. She arched her back, hips no longer able to keep up with Yonghee. Her mind was filled with the pleasure of his cock throbbing and rubbing against her wet heat. “You’re so beautiful. So warm. Do you want more?”
“I-I-I can’t!” He stopped, breathing heavily as he held her arms down beside her shoulders. As he opened his mouth, she cut him off. “Th-this isn’t my first time, but I’m shy. I’m not just a girl you can sleep with.”
“I wouldn’t just sleep with you.”
“I’m not a naive girl, you know. I know a lot of guys say that.”
He got off of her, holding his hands out as he offered to help her sit up. Her cheeks flushed with heat as she watched him sit back in his seat, giving room between them.
“Don’t be silly.” She moved to wrap her arms around his waist, resting her head against his chest. “What plans do you have tomorrow?”
“I have an exam in my morning class, and then I’m free to study for the rest of the day.” One arm wrapped around her body as his free hand touched her chin, making her look up at him. “Will you join me for lunch? I want to spend time with you outside of our tutoring lessons.”
“What did you have in mind?” Her shoulders felt tense as heat rushed up her stomach to her chest.
“There’s a sushi place nearby here that sells melon shaved ice too.”
“That sounds nice. And afterwards, why don’t we come back here and do some more math?”
“You want to study?” His voice raised a few notes, making her laugh as she sat up to look at him.
“Add in you and me,” she began slowly, hand touching the front of his shirt, fingernail tapping against the top button of his shirt, “subtract our clothes, divide the energy it takes for you and me to have a good time-”
“-I get it, I get it.” His nose nuzzled against her cheek as his lips warmed her neck. “I’ll buy condoms and chocolates and…lube?”
“So romantic, Yonghee, you’re so calculated.”
“You’re not as good at puns as you think.”
“Coming from a math wiz, that doesn’t add up to much.”
She laughed into his lips as his hands were back at her wrists, his body pushing her to lie down onto the couch.
Body consumed with butterflies, she held onto him tight. Yonghee spun her world upside down, but he held her safe, hands holding hers tight, lips sucking her earlobe. A sweet sigh escaped her lips.
“Thank you for this tutoring session, Yonghee.”

So I don’t have like a canon for any of my fics but the OFC has sort of the same background for each one for the time being, Dark Order-aligned medic type character. They don’t all go together or anything like that and there's no real timeline. It just sort of worked out that way lol. Anyhow, ramble over, please enjoy and lmk what you think!!
Pairing: Kenny Omega x OFC
Rating: Big ol’ M.
Warnings/Content: Choking, unprotected sex (please be safe!!), hair pulling, spanking, multiple orgasms, jealousy, sort of hate sex. This...admittedly...took on a life of its own.
Word Count: 2028

She didn’t know when cursory check-in glances had turned into check-out glances. Maybe it was after he gave her that side smirk, the one that had her stomach fluttery. He had never looked at her like that before and then one day, one hot night in Jacksonville, he did. It didn’t stop. The expanse of his hands across her lower back, the tease of a tight grip against her waist when she helped him away from the ring. That damn smirk and the slight narrowing of his eyes as he side-eyed her. She helped everyone out, she told herself. Hell, she had helped both him and Adam before...Well, before. She wouldn’t read into it.
Get your shit together, she had told herself. But he was Kenny fucking Omega. A top guy amongst top guys. Keeping her shit together was a Herculean effort.
His hand gripped the tender, red hot flesh of her ass. She panted out as she felt the weight of him press against the length of her naked back. Her arms shook with the difficulty of keeping herself upright. His mouth ghosted by her ear and his low, arrogant voice brushed against her skin.
“How many was that? Did you remember to count?”
He hummed as he took a moment to stop kneading the flesh of her ass. His fingers drifted down her wet slit to tease her clit. Against her own volition, her hips tried to press back into him. He chuckled and gave her cunt a light slap that nearly had her crumbling onto the bed. Her head fell forward and his hand grabbed at her hip to keep her still.
“T-Ten,” she gritted out. “I remembered. Kenny, please.”
“Ah-ah, baby, no. That’s not it.”
His teeth nipped at her ear. Teased against the line of her neck. She could have killed him. Or fucked him through the floor. There was no inbetween. She breathed out through her nose and when his hand slipped back between her trembling thighs, she tried again to seek out some release. With his grip as strong as it was, it was hard to move.
“Please, Mr. Omega,” she said and lifted her head enough to look at him over her shoulder. Her eyes burned and narrowed. “Please touch me. I counted like you wanted.”
He was just as affected as she was. Everytime she pressed her hips back, she could feel his erection against her ass. But the man had the patience, the stamina, of someone inhuman. She didn’t. What a match. His eyes flashed and he smirked at her. He shook his head and bit lightly at her shoulder. He trailed his tongue down her spine and she shivered when he blew against the line he left.
“Come on. Don’t you remember why you’re here?”
She nodded. His teeth bit into the meat of her ass and she tried to conceal her moan.
“It doesn’t mean anything, Ke--Mr. Omega,” she said with a shake of her head. “I helped them out. That’s all. I did my job.”
He tutted and feathered kisses up her back. His mouth was against her ear again as the hand around her hip relented and trailed up her chest. He squeezed a breast and groaned. Plucked hard at her nipple and twisted before he let go. He sucked in a breath through his teeth. His fingers gripped the purple medallion that fell between her breasts and she felt the chain tighten against the back of her neck.
“This. This stupid thing,” he said as he flexed his hips and grinded against her in a slow rhythm. “This I could handle. This doesn’t mean anything. But then you--Then I saw you with him.”
For a brief second, she heard it. He was worried. Her relationship with Kenny was, admittedly, a strange one. Kenny was paranoid. About himself, about the people around him, about so many things. Her laugh startled even herself. He growled and flipped her onto her back to look at her. The medallion bounced between her breasts and he leered at her, his errant curls in his eyes. Every muscle in his body was tight. Especially the one in his jaw. A brow rose.
“Is this funny to you?”
“It is,” she admitted as she held his eyes. His hand gripped the outside of her thigh as he frowned at her, his face taking on that look of annoyance that she so often saw in the ring lately. Slowly, she pushed herself up so she was almost face to face with him. Her chest pressed against his as she tilted her head back. “The man who has everything. Jealous of a cowboy and his friends.”
His tongue pressed hard against the inside of his bottom lip and he shook his head. One hand tangled in her loose hair and he dove in to kiss her. Tongue and teeth. Relentless. It was the most he had given her so far and when her tongue slipped into his mouth to take what he offered, he pulled away. When he spoke up again, his voice was a low hiss against her lips.
“Baby, if you’re his friend,” he stared as he trailed his fingers up her back and worked the clasp of her necklace. When he got it loose, he tossed it off the bed. His thumb rubbed circles into the side of her neck. The bulk of him kept her legs spread from where they had fallen open when he turned her over. He shoved her back onto the bed and gripped his length, worked it as he looked at her body on display. Pre-cum glistened in the room’s low light and she couldn’t keep her eyes off him. “Then why’d you come looking for me?”
The head of his cock slipped up her wet slit to press against her clit and she gasped. He wasn’t wrong. She shouldn’t have gone to see him after what he had done and continued to do to Adam. But she had. She had wanted to. Her body trembled with want and anger.
“If you’re that mad about it, Mr. Omega, why’d you let me in?”
Kenny huffed and stretched across her again. His large hand dragged roughly up her chest as he looked her in the eyes. His hand settled against her neck in an all-too-familiar fashion. Slowly, he started to press into her. His head slipped in and she moaned low. He could feel it in his hand. Her thighs tightened around his waist and she tried to pull him in further. He wouldn’t budge, even if she could feel how much he wanted to give in. He glanced down at where they connected and licked his lips. His eyes shot back up to look at her.
The need he found there coaxed a nasty smirk out of him and he pulled out of her with a pop. Slow enough to watch the disappointment flood her face. His fingers replaced his cock and he narrowed his eyes as she squeezed around him. They crooked up and brushed against the bundle of nerves that had her body tightening. His fingers played her expertly and his mouth pressed harsh against hers to swallow her breathy moans. The hand around her neck played with a slightly tighter grip. She tried to tell him to go faster but he wanted to destroy her slowly. With as worked up as she was from his roughness earlier, her first orgasm hit her hard. He bit her bottom lip before he pulled away, a thin light of spit connecting them before he tossed his hair back. Half-lidded eyes looked at her. She wasn’t the only one breathing hard. His large hand, covered in her juices, splayed out across her belly to keep her there. The head of his cock nudged against her.
“I guess we’re both just that desperate.”
He seated himself in her fully with one hard, heavy thrust. Her head fell back against the bed and his grip around her neck tightened. Kenny pressed a kiss to her temple and took a moment to ask her if this was okay. Funny how he could still be sweet when he was being insufferable. That thought didn’t last long in her head as slow, drawn out thrusts quickly picked up pace. The hand not around her neck gripped her hair at the base of her head and pulled. Her legs trembled around him. Lightheaded and climbing higher, she bucked against him with wild abandon. He drove into her just right and her second orgasm rippled around him tight enough to have him sputter out a heavy, startled breath. Not yet though.
Suddenly, he pulled out of her and released her neck. She whined at his absence as she breathed in and in a blink, his mouth and his fingers were on her. His tongue played against her clit with a fury as he slipped one, then two fingers back into her quaking slit. She was barely through her second one when he relentlessly started to coax a third one out of her. Her thighs tightened around his head as she came a third time with a ragged scream. Her body nearly seized. Her fingers pushed and pulled at his curls and she could hear him hum with satisfaction against the sensitive skin of her inner thigh. His teeth bit down hard enough to leave a mark.
“Kenny!”
“That’s right, baby,” he huffed out as he grabbed her legs and pulled her towards him. He didn’t correct her. They were beyond that. “That’s goddamn right. Say my name.”
With her ankles by his head, she was nearly folded in half when he surged back inside her. At this angle, he fucked her slow. Ground against her clit as he fucked into that spot of hers that he found every time without fail. Looked her in the eyes as she panted his name and whined. The pace he kept was agony for the both of them. She tried to say something but he couldn’t quite hear her. He angled his ear toward her and smirked.
“What is it, baby? I can’t hear you.”
It took everything in her to speak and when she did, it sounded weaker than she wanted. He was fucking her senseless. Crowding her with everything that was him. He wouldn’t accept anything else.
“Is that it, Mr. Omega?”
Her teeth found his earlobe and he snapped his hips against her. She grinned at him and he flashed his teeth back. The room was drowned in a cacophony of slapping skin and low moans. Her hand snaked up across the broad expanse of his back and dragged her nails down his taut skin. Almost hard enough to draw blood. He jerked and lost the pace he had set.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck. Goddamn you.”
He pulled out and flipped her over so he could fold her across the edge of the mattress. His hand found her clit as he pounded back into her. Her walls clenched and fluttered around him. She bit into the sheets as her fourth orgasm reared its head and when she came, she screamed into the mattress. Kenny thrust into her three, four times before he stilled and spilled into her with a guttural groan. His hands flexed around her hips as he fought to get his breath back, his hips jerking against her as the final wave of his orgasm passed through him. She wiped at her mouth as she tried to get up but he had fucked her boneless. He slipped out of her with a quiet moan and she felt him climb onto the mattress beside her.
His cum seeped out of her as she rolled onto her back. She glanced over at him, with his dark curls and sharp jawline. The bow of his mouth was still covered in her slick. She used to think he was beautiful once. He reached out to her and she hesitated. His eyes slid over to look at her. He laughed and smirked, set his head back against the bed. She supposed she still did. In a terrible way.

“Semi, get your ass moving,” you huff. “You’re gonna make me late.”
He gives you a smug look and raises a slitted eyebrow. “Did something crawl up your ass and died? What’s up with you?”
You exhale heavily through your nose and stare at him, unimpressed.
“We gotta catch the afternoon train if you wanna reach the venue in time for our gig. This is a really good opportunity for me, don’t you dare mess it up.” you say, gathering the last of your things for the trip.
There is a tingling sensation crawling down your spine, as if someone is staring at you. You look over your shoulder curiously, opening your mouth to utter another snarky remark to get your partner to stop gawking around and get ready.
But the intensity behind his gaze caught you by surprise.
Those hazel eyes of his—ones that are usually sharp and cold—held a sort of softness in them as he looks at you. When you caught him staring, his gaze did not falter one bit.
You couldn’t stop your eyes from traveling down the perfect slope of his nose, continuing down to his pouty lips.
As much as you hate him, you can’t deny that Semi Eita is an attractive man. Heck, even the word attractive isn’t enough to express how infuriatingly hot he is.
Your gaze stays on his lips for a second too long. Have they always looked this soft and inviting?
The dry cough from the opposite side of the room is the only thing that managed to break you out of this trance. Semi Eita’s trance.
Your manager stands by the door, tapping her foot on the wooden tiles impatiently.
“Now, lovebirds,” she narrows her eyes, “Save the PDA for tonight, yeah? We’ve got a schedule to follow.”
You roll your eyes at her, cheeks uncomfortably warm. And just like that, the strange yet tender moment you shared with Semi dissipated into thin air.
。。。
You don’t know if you should take pity on the gray-haired singer or if you should laugh at him.
Currently, Semi’s head is bowed down in shame as he gets an earful from his manager in the middle of a crowded train.
You see, the four of you should’ve arrived at the venue by now. Both your managers are very strict about schedules, and they planned to arrive at the bar two hours before the agreed time.
Thankfully, his bandmates have been a little more punctual than him and have successfully boarded the 4pm train. But Mr. Popular right here just had to stop every few minutes to take pictures with every single fan he met on the way to the station.
“It’s half past five now,” his manager whisper-shouts, “Do you know what that means?”
Semi tries to give her an awkward smile to calm her down. It doesn’t work.
“It’s rush hour! What if we won’t reach the bar in time? It could ruin both your careers, do you know that?” she glares at Semi once again, but there is less bite in her voice now.
“I’m sorry,” Semi starts, plastering a charming smile on his face, “I only wanted to be nice to the fans. Wouldn’t make too good of an impression if I just ignored them, no?”
His manager sighs and pinches the bridge of her nose, exasperated. She motions for Semi to stop talking with a wave of her hand.
The singer grins, and out of the corner of your eyes, you can sense his sharp gaze on you once more.
You try to ignore it.
。。。
When your group reaches the bar, Semi’s bandmates are almost done preparing themselves for the gig.
The bar is dimly lit and cool, the multitudes of warm overhead lighting being the only source of light in the room. It’s not too busy tonight, you observe. Some people still donned their work clothes, perhaps rushing over to the bar right after a long day at work—mingling around with friends to let loose for a little and enjoy themselves.
“Dude, where were you?” Aito asks, eyebrows turned downwards in a frown.
Semi pats the guitarist on the side of his head, “Relax, we’ve got plenty of time to prepare.”
Aito rolls his eyes, completely used to his bandmate’s antics.
“Whatever,” he huffs. “By the way, are we gonna have a little after party later?”
“Uh,” Semi’s eyes flicker towards you for one second, then back to Aito, “I dunno man, might be too tired to get wasted tonight.”
The guitarist narrows his eyes. He didn’t miss the way Semi’s gaze lingered on you.
“Y/N,” Aito smirks. “You coming to the after party?”
You were listening to their conversation this whole time, finding the whole exchange quite amusing.
“Eh, I don’t see why not,” you smile sweetly, “It’s gonna be even better now that this dude isn’t coming anyways.” You pointed your thumb at the vocalist.
From where he’s standing, you hear Semi scoff.
“Y’know what?” he sneers, “On second thought, I am going. How does that make you feel, huh?”
You shrug, feigning indifference.
“I literally do not care.”
“Piss off.”
Aito throws his head back in laughter, shaking his head as he walks away from the scene, muttering about people being too clueless and dense for their own damn good.
You adjusted your equipment bag on your shoulder, exhaling loudly to try and calm your heart down.
。。。
It is in moments like these that you remember why you decided to go forth with this career path, no matter how rocky it may be.
Adrenaline courses through your veins as you sing the lyrics of you and Semi’s song; every ounce of the jittery nerves you had just a few moments ago long gone.
There’s nobody else in this world that can ever take your place
Some of the customers are listening intently, others just nodding along to the song, and the rest not even listening at all.
You could hear your heartbeat thumping loudly against your chest, the sweat trickling down your forehead and into your eyes making it harder for you to see the crowd.
And when the day’s all done and dusted, all I ever need is to be in your arms again
You whip your head towards Semi, just like the countless times you rehearsed this song together.
“It shows chemistry,” your manager had said, “play it up for the crowd, will ya?”
The butterflies in your stomach flutters about restlessly when you notice that Semi has been looking at you this whole time.
His eyes—sharp and intense—held your gaze, unabashed. Steady. Sure.
Will you stay tonight? ‘Cause baby you’re all that I need, and you’re all that I want.
And in that moment, with your eyes locked on each other, the world seems to stop.
Nothing else matters, Semi’s lopsided smile says, only you.
。。。
The performance flew by in the blink of an eye, and it’s a little past midnight now. As promised, your managers held a little after party in the shared lounge of your penthouse suite.
It’s not as fancy as it sounds, you smile to yourself. There are suspicious stains on the gray carpet, and the furniture smells vaguely of cigarette smoke and sweat.
Bottles of beers have already littered the floor and glass table, and you haven’t even started drinking.
“Duuuude,” Yuuto slurs, “Why are ya so tense for?”
The bassist points at you and Semi, eyelids drooping as he tries his best to keep them open.
“C’mon guys,” Aito clasps his shoulders and massages them roughly, “Relax a little, we did amazing tonight.”
Semi shrugs his friend’s hands away, annoyed. He snatches an unopened bottle of beer from the cooler and opens the cap with his teeth.
You gulp. He hands you the bottle wordlessly before grabbing another one for himself, chugging it down quickly. You mirror his actions, hoping that the alcohol can dull the annoying fluttering in your stomach that refuses to leave ever since the two of you shared that intimate moment on stage.
For fuck’s sake, what’s going on with me?
Your trick works, in a way. Your stomach feels pleasantly warm now, and your breathing has finally evened out. Another unopened bottle of beer lays invitingly on the couch and you reach for it, opting for a bottle opener instead of doing it like Semi.
“Bro,” Yuuto grins at the singer, drool threatening to leave the corner of his mouth, “Did’ya see that blonde chick in the front row? She was hardcore eye-fucking you dude.”
“Ah,” Semi takes another swig of his beer, a cute flush blossoming in his cheeks.
Wait, what. Cute?
“She gave me her number when we were gathering up our stuff.” He runs his hand through his hair.
“You gonna hit her up or what?” Aito teases, smirking.
The singer shrugs, “Maybe, I dunno.”
Your breath hitches, and Aito’s smirk widens. You raise your eyebrows at him, silently telling him to fuck off.
“Where’s Kai?” you hear Semi ask. Come to think of it, you haven’t seen the drummer since after the show was over.
“Oh,” the guitarist laughs, “Fucker left us for some girl he saw in the bar. Might see him tomorrow morning, might not. Who knows?”
The vocalist hums and walks over to where you’re sitting, plopping down on the old couch.
“The managers?” Semi casually drapes his arm on the back of the sofa. You feel yourself tensing as your heart races uncontrollably, and the singer looks over at you with an unreadable expression on his face.
Aito scratches the back of his neck, quickly losing interest in the conversation.
“They decided to sleep in early. Long day, I guess.”
Semi nods and rests his head on the top of the couch, exposing his defined jawline. His eyelashes look so pretty from this angle, they’re long and fluttery and they almost…
Huh?
“Eita, are you gonna hit that blonde girl up or nah?” Aito provokes, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
You clench your teeth and reach for yet another bottle—your fourth one this past hour. Or fifth. You don’t bother counting. Semi looks over at you again, but this time his eyes holds a sort of concern in them. You scoff to yourself.
“Uh,” the singer looks at his friend weirdly, “Why are you so insistent on this? I did say maybe didn’t I?”
Aito laughs. You almost recoil in disgust.
“Oh nothing,” he chuckles, “It’s just that she’s really hot and she’s your type so—”
You stand up abruptly, knocking over some empty beer bottles by accident. The regret is immediate. You can feel the acid in your stomach traveling up your esophagus, tickling the back of your throat.
Semi quickly stands up when you clasp a hand over your mouth, trying your best to hold it together.
“Shit,” he mutters, “You okay?”
He rubs tiny circles on the small of your back, an action that’s supposed to be soothing but instead causes tingles to run up and down your spine. You shiver.
Another wave of nausea hits before you could respond, causing your knees to almost give out under you.
“Whoa there, angel,” Semi wraps his arm around your waist, holding you flush to his side to support your weight.
You groan softly as your head spins uncomfortably. Droplets of cold sweat is starting to form on your forehead, adding another layer of discomfort upon you.
“You wanna go to your bedroom?” Semi murmurs close to your ear. You shiver again. At this, Semi thought that you’re freezing so he drapes his leather jacket on your shoulders, holding you close.
You nod weakly as you try to blink the black spots in your vision away.
From somewhere around the room, you hear Aito snicker, “Stay safe!”
You turn your head around to give him a deathly glare, but all you see is a big blob of blurriness.
Dammit.
。。。
Semi takes the key card from your bag and pushes the door open, placing your duffel bag on the floor after
He guides you to the bathroom—with gentleness you rarely see from him—and sets the toilet cover down so you can sit on it while he wets a towel with the running tap water.
“You still feel dizzy?” he asks, voice soft.
You stare at his fingers as he wrings the towel and shakes your head.
Semi holds out the cloth and pats your forehead with it, the coolness allowing you to feel a little more refreshed.
“Do you want me to make you some tea?” he wipes the back of your neck carefully.
Shit. Has he always been this thoughtful?
You shake your head again, telling him that you just want to go to sleep.
He sighs and gives you a half-smile, holding out his arm to help you to the bed.
Semi still has it in him to give you a little but of privacy as you wiggle out of your tight jeans, looking away until you slip under the covers.
He helps you pull the plush white comforter closer to your chest, tucking you in.
Your mind doesn’t feel as hazy as it was a few hours ago, but the leftover alcohol coursing through your veins gave you a sort of boost to your impulses.
“Eita,” you whisper, reaching out towards the singer, “Stay?”
The singer halts in his steps and turns to look at you.
“Uh, I don’t know Y/N,” he starts, “You’re drunk right now.”
“No I’m not,” you say, steady voice proving your point. “Please?”
Semi glances over at the door and sighs. He chewed on his lower lip for a few seconds before sighing again.
“Okay.”
。。。
You’re struggling to open your eyes when you wake up, the harsh sunlight streaming into the room completely unfiltered.
Drunk you completely forgot to close the blinds, it seems.
You groan audibly, wanting to pull the covers above your head to hide yourself from this cruel world.
You freeze. Why can you feel someone’s soft breaths on the crown of your head?
Nervously, you reach out in front of you, eyes still shut closed. Oh no.
You force your eyes open, grimacing from the sudden brightness. Your eyes widen at the sight in front of you. Semi Eita, your supposed nemesis, is sleeping soundly a few inches away from you, arms wrapped around your waist.
What the hell happened last night?
A small squeak leaves your mouth as you fully realize the situation you’re in. The small noise wakes Semi up from his slumber, causing him to slowly open his eyes, squinting at the bright light.
“Morning, angel,” he croaks, voice raspy with sleep.
My god does he look pretty in the morning.
You stay there, frozen and unblinking. All the words at the tip of your tongue seem to disappear from existence.
Semi blinks, sitting up quickly.
“Fuck, I’m sorry,” he rubs his eyes vigorously, “I should’ve said no when you asked me to stay. Fuck, you were drunk and I—”
You grab the back of his neck and pull him closer to you, a small smile gracing your lips.
Your thumb grazes Semi’s bottom lip, dragging it down every so slightly before releasing it, enjoying the way he seems to unravel under your touch.
“Shut up and kiss me, will you?” you murmur, trying to keep your cool as your heart hammers against your chest loudly.
At this, Semi breaks out of his reverie and laughs, “I thought you’d never ask.”

You had gone with Nanami to the mall to grab a bite before heading for Jujutsu High to meet Gojo and Itadori.
Nanami was not in charge of you, and you’d long since graduated Jujutsu High. He tended to act more like a friendly guide and yet, unbidden, the ‘sensei’ honorific would slip out despite your intentions sometimes.
Like now.
Nanami didn’t look offended, he rarely did. He simply regarded you out of the corner of his eyes, body lax. “I have to wonder, do I really look like a teacher figure all that much? I didn’t think so before you and Yuji.”
And you’d almost stammered with embarrassment as you apologised.
“I sure do hope it’s not a bossy attitude on my part,” Nanami mused, sending you into another round of hasty but heartfelt apologies.
“Relax, y/n, I’m just messing with you,” he cracked a small smile. “I think it’s cute.”
Cute. The word thundered in your ears for a moment as your stomach swarmed with butterflies. You mused that it would be wholly inappropriate to respond with ‘I think you’re cute’ and refrained from making that comment.
Instead, you said: “Please don’t tease me, Nanami-san.”
“Ah,” he said lightly, with an airy chuckle. “I’m starting to think I prefer sensei. Maybe it’s growing on me.”
Nanami led you up the escalators, eyes scanning cursorily around. The mall was unusually crowded for this time of the week, but you should still be able to grab what you needed in time before your meeting.
You weren’t really paying attention to your surroundings, your entire focus taken by Nanami’s commanding presence. That was your first mistake.
Your second mistake was pausing by the elegant display of evening gowns to admire the sleek, black dress on the mannequin. Nanami, in his unique brand of kindness, suggested you stay behind to take a look while he ordered your food.
Unfortunately, you were too busy dwelling in the warm, fluttery feelings this man inspired to notice just who else was in the shop.
The familiar voice reached you several long minutes into your trip, sounding just a few racks away.
Your entire body went cold, and instantly numb as you recognised the nasally tenor of your ex-boss. Blood rushed loudly in your ears, and for a few moments that felt like a small eternity, fear left you too paralysed to even move.
This was the man that had tried to ruin your life and very nearly succeeded. The man who had abused your need for a job to get away with doing whatever he wished. The man who had ... who had ...
Your eyes stung with the memory of  hot, clammy hands on your shoulders, touching you without heed to your feelings or consent.
The voice drew closer, slamming you into your body with another jolt of trepidation.
You did not want to see him. You never wanted to see him again.
Spinning around, you dashed behind another rack, heart hammering. He was sniggering loudly with someone on the phone, bringing back more unpleasant memories of all the times you’d ask him to stop being inappropriate only for him to laugh loudly, like your request was silly. “Y/n we’re friends,” he would say condescendingly. “This is what friends do, no?”
You turned another corner, trying to make it to the exit unnoticed, when in your haste you knocked over a mannequin. You stood frozen, shocked and mortified, as you stared at the mess you’d made.
That was your third mistake.
“Y/n?”
It would be wholly undignified to start crying, wouldn’t it? You thought cynically as you slowly turned around to face that monster.
You refused to waver, to show your fear. “Yes?”
“It is you!” He cried, taking a step closer and instinctively making you take a step back. “Long time no see!”
He took another step forward, which you mirrored again by taking a step back. His face was twisting into an ugly smile that barely hid the underlying sneer. “Come on now don’t be like that, is this how you treat your friends? Come on and give me a hug, sweetheart.”
You opened your mouth to snap at him, to say ‘over my dead fucking body’ when a gentle palm settled over your shoulder.
You barely managed not to jump.
“Y/n,” Nanami’s self-assured baritone washed over you. The sudden all-encompassing relief it bought nearly toppled you off your feet. “Your food is starting to get cold.”
Looking at him made your heart shake. He had an unreadable expression on his face, a slight pinch to the corner of his mouth. He must’ve read your fear in your eyes for his features hardened as he turned to regard your company. “And who might this be?”
Opening and closing your mouth, you floundered, no words passing from your lips but for the hesitant mutter of Nanami’s name.
Your ex-boss, in his usual arrogant fashion, nearly sneered at Nanami as he addressed you. “Aren’t you going to tell him sweetheart?”
It was enough to set your blood boiling with anger. With Nanami at your side, the fear receded to allow indignation to take its place. “Don’t call me that.”
Nanami’s hand tightened imperceptibly on your shoulder.
Your ex-boss didn’t heed your wish. “Aw don’t be like that, sweetheart—“
“I think,” Nanami said icily, cutting him off. “That she just told you to not call her that.”
The frigidness radiating off him made your ex-boss straighten and regard Nanami curiously.
And then a sick smile slowly spread over his face, his eyes taking in Nanami’s suit, his hand on your shoulder, his expensive watch and finally his eyes. “Ah,” he said like it all suddenly made sense. “He’s your new boss isn’t he? Gone to play toy to another man, y/n? Does he treat you better? Does he pay you better to use your—“
You gasped as Nanami smoothly stalked forward, grabbing your ex-boss by his meticulous oriental-tie and yanked him closer, nearly lifting the man off his feet.
“Okay, let’s make one thing clear here,” Nanami said, voice unwavering but body coiled with what you recognised as anger. “I don’t know who you are. Frankly, I don’t give a fuck who you are. But this conversation is over. Turn around, and walk away. I won’t give you another chance.”
You watched as your boss glared at Nanami hatefully for a long moment as your heart raced and raced, and more butterflies—and crap, maybe some arousal too—flooded you.
But then his hateful gaze settled on you and he opened his mouth to no doubt make another scathing remark.
Sooner than he could talk, Nanami’s long fingers were framing his jaw and forcefully directing your ex-boss’s gaze back to him. “Don’t even look at her.”
Your ex-boss finally relented, yanking Nanami’s hand away and stepping back to fix his suit. “Fine,” he spat. “I hope you enjoy your useless toy. Pathetic.”
You and Nanami watched him walk away silently. There was shame now as the anger receded.
What did Nanami think of you now?
You stared at the toppled mannequin, the death grip you had on your bag, and finally to Nanami, who looked more than a little ruffled now that your ex-boss was gone.
He turned to face you, and you opened your mouth to apologise, “I’m—“
“Are you okay?” He grit.
You blinked. “Um. Yes. I think. Are ... are you okay?”
He didn’t look okay. He looked angry. You couldn’t even remember ever seeing Nanami angry. “No,” he said shortly. “Who was that? What did he do to you? Did he hurt you?”
The barrage of questions left you a little dazed. You had no idea how to even answer but you attempted to anyway, stuttering under Nanami’s gaze. “That was ...” you swallowed thickly. “He was my ex-boss.”
You hated how it came out as a weak whisper, but you hadn’t wanted to utter his name ever again.
Your mouth opened and closed over all the things you wanted to say but couldn’t—all the things you never told anyone about. Nanami watched you struggle for words, and his expression only darkened. “Y/n. Did he hurt you?”
You stared at your feet as shame nearly overwhelmed you and you choked out, “Yes. But I— I let it happen— I had no choice, I needed the money, I couldn’t just— and he wouldn’t ever listen when I said to stop—“
With a jolt you realised you were crying, and with another jolt you noticed Nanami loom closer.
A gentle hand cradled the back of your head and pushed you into Nanami’s study chest, not quite a hug, one you could easily break if you wished to.
“I’ll kill him,” Nanami vowed softly, the icy softness still there but overshadowed by the gentleness of his tone. “I will.”
You shook your head, shuddering as your arms snaked around his middle and you unabashedly buried your face in his shoulder. “Please stay.”
“I’m here,” he soothed, still speaking in a hushed tone you’ve never heard before. “You’re okay. You’re safe now. I promise.”
The security of his presence washed over you again, tempting your knees to give out.
“I won’t ever leave you alone again,”  he added, stroking the hair at the crown of your head. “Would you like me to cancel our meeting?”
You shook your head mutely. “I’ll be fine,” you managed to croak and reluctantly broke from his embrace to wipe hastily at your tears. “Sorry I ruined your shirt.”
He glanced down distractedly at the small wet spot on his dress shirt. “Don’t be silly,” he chided. “I’m sorry I didn’t come back sooner.”
“You couldn’t have known,” you whispered, wiping at your eyes one final time and taking a settling breath. “We can go now if you want.”
He studied your face closely for any signs of deceit. “We really can cancel the meeting,” he said slowly. “Gojo would understand.”
You bit your lip, tempted. You still felt shaken and unfocused and all you wished for was to go home and curl under your covers.
Nanami apparently took your reluctance as an answer for he immediately whipped his phone out. He sounded strange as he spoke to Gojo, his words short and his tone barely keeping the anger out.
When he finally ended the call, he looked at you. “Would you like me to take you home now?”
“Um,” you said, embarrassed yet again but feeling warm to your toes. “I... I would prefer it if I didn’t have to be alone so soon.”
Nanami simply nodded. “Very well.”
You stared in surprise as he offered you his hand but you took it with only a moment’s hesitation, feeling his large palm completely engulf yours.
“I told you,” he said in answer to your silent question. “I won’t leave you alone again. I’m not letting you out of my sight.”
Now you were sure you were blushing as he led you out of the shop, hand in hand, uncaring for the toppled mannequin or anything else. His grip on you was firm but not tight, and he radiated safety with every step until all the poisonous feelings bled out of you.
“Y/n?”
“Mhm?”
“You would tell me if someone bothered you again, wouldn’t you?”
There was no resisting the smile now, tentative and affectionate. “Yes.”
“Even if that someone was me.”
You looked at him, surprised.
He elaborated: “If I ever do anything that makes you uncomfortable, you have to tell me.”
More warmth flooded your chest. “I will.” You promised.
He squeezed your hand, raising it. “Is this fine?”
“More than fine,” you admitted, face warm. “Really, Nanami-sen—err, Nanami-san.”
A humorous smile softened his features. “You know what? I don’t think I mind that honorific too much. Not from you.”
And it made your heart skip a beat. “Why not from me?”
“Easy,” he said, and turned to regard you with a rare affable expression. “Because you’re my favourite.”

Daisy Chains
Pairing: Din Djarin/f!Reader
Summary: You fall in love with Din in the summer before he swears his creed.
Words: 3.7k
Warnings: slightly nsfw, non descriptive sex, yes I used those gifs of young Pedro to fuel this, so expect shaggy haired puppy eyed Din who is cocky af
Notes: I wrote this in a span of 5h because my brain could not stop working, also I took some liberties with canon: Mandalorian's come of age when they're 21 in this fic, due to the severity of the creed/ the restrictions that come with it. So Reader is about 19/20 while Din is 20 :) [edit: title and one line are inspired by Lana del Rey's "Summer Bummer"]

……………
The first time you saw him, he was wearing a scowl, staring after the Mandalorian warrior who had given him a slap on the back of the head.
You could not help your giggle, turning away so you could laugh at the grumpy expression on his face. When you looked back, though, his gaze was on you.
Immediately straightening, you sent him the most innocent smile you could muster.
He raised an eyebrow at you, and made his way over to your stall that was filled with flowers in both pots and buckets, ready to be arranged in various possibilities.
"You see something funny?" he asked, shaking the slightly shaggy hair out of his face. Your eyes widened as you took him in, and you felt your face become hot as you realised that he was handsome as hell.
Dark brown hair that was a tad too long, a sharp face with high cheekbones, a jawline to die for, dark eyes you could lose yourself in. Not to mention his voice, like honey wrapped around every vowel and consonant, pleasant to listen to and you would do anything to keep him talking.
"No, sir," you said, and they were the only words you could manage, "nothing funny at all."
The corner of his mouth quirked up, and you could not help but be charmed by those looks, the instant way he had drawn you in, the sharp glint in his eyes.
"Is that so, flower girl?"
You felt your heart flutter in your chest, and bit your lip playfully, suddenly feeling very bold. "Yes," you breathed, tilting your face up playfully.
He scoffed slightly, and put his hands on his hips, resting his weight on one leg. You could place him as maybe one year older than you, two if you had to squint.
"Girls like you should know when to keep their eyes away," he said.
You leaned against the counter, smiling brightly, overwhelmed by the urge to get to know him better.
"The way I see it, I was just observing a spectacle."
"Uh huh?"
"What are you doing with the Mandalorians, anyways?" You asked, looking at him. Wearing something that approximated armour, a durasteel plate on his torso and some thigh plates, and a vambrace, he seemed better armed than most of the visitors of the market here.
"I'm one of them," he answered, puffing his chest out, raising his chin.
"You're not wearing a helmet," you observed, and you could not help the coy smile that crept onto your face.
"I'll swear the creed soon," he said, clenching his jaw and revealing a twitch in his cheek that almost made you swoon.
"Oh dear, that's a shame," you said, plucking a daisy from the flower pot you were selling.
"Why?" His face was set into a frown, brows pulled together, and it was honestly unfair that he was so good looking even while doing that.
"Face like yours, under a helmet? A damn shame."
His eyes widened, and he stared at you, and with delight you could see his cheeks darkening some. He opened his mouth several times as if wanting to say something, but nothing came out.
You reached over the counter, and gave him the daisy, which he accepted without taking his eyes off you.
"If you care for dancing, come and find me," you invited, and with a shy smile, you told him your name.
When he repeated it, dark eyes locked onto yours intensely, you swore you just melted a bit.
~
You did not see him for the next week, which was fine. To be honest with yourself, you did not even expect for him to remember you. The way you saw it, it was just a small interaction with a cute guy, some butterflies in your belly and a crush to think back on in the middle of the night. It did not matter that he probably forgot you.
If you gave yourself enough time, you might have completely forgotten him, too.
But apparently, the universe had other ideas.
"Flower girl," someone called from behind, "Do you need help?"
You looked up from the ground, teeth gritted together in effort from the heavy bag of soil you were carrying. When you caught sight of him, your face lit up.
"Not-A-Mandalorian-Yet!" You called out, putting the bag onto the ground as gently as you could, already moving onto giving him a hug. "Hey, how are you?"
He looked at you, startled, and with a hot face you realised you had automatically tried to embrace him like you often did.
"I'm good," he said stiffly, and you gave an embarrassed smile, stomach doing somersaults.
"Oh, Maker, I'm sorry I assumed," you started to say, hands raised to your mouth, "I do that with my friends, I'm so sorry."
He furrowed his brows and gave an equally embarrassed smile back.
"It's fine," he said, "I don't mind."
Yet clearly he did.
You stepped back from him, and bit your bottom lip nervously. "I think I'll get going," you said, fidgeting like an absolute moron and cursing yourself.
He jerked into motion.
"No, I'll- Let me help you with the bag," he said, and if you had not been too occupied with how hot your face felt at the moment, you might have noticed how he was blushing as well.
"That's nice of you," you managed to say, and barely resisted a giggle in both embarrassment and delight when he picked the bag up with no difficulty, putting it smoothly under one arm, before turning towards you and giving you a slightly crooked smile. "Where to?"
You blinked at him, a big smile on your face. "Thank you," you told him, and started into motion. He easily kept up, but did not initiate conversation like you expected.
If he won't talk, I will, you thought, and squared your shoulders in a mini pep boost.
"So, Not-A-Mandalorian-Yet," your mouth chose to say, and you inwardly started to cringe at yourself, "Do you have a name that I can call you by?"
He hesitated, and looked away while you walked, and your heart sank a bit.
"Oh, no- no, it's fine if you don't want to tell me, you don't have to-"
"It's Din," he said, "I haven't sworn the creed yet, so you can know my name."
You beamed at him, and he shyly returned your smile, his dark eyes intense and burning into you.
~
The third time you saw Din, he was on a supply run, walking past your stall with a hovering craft filled with crates. Him and three other young armoured humanoids, fellow Mandalorians, if you had to guess, were walking alongside with it. When his gaze met yours, you held up a small bundle of daisy blooms that was in your hand already, and shot him a smile. You were surprised when he smiled back, sending it alongside with a fluttery wink that made your heart skip a beat.
~
It became a game.
Everytime he came to your stand, you instantly perked up, heart beating fast in your chest, a broad smile already greeting him.
Whenever you passed each other, you smiled, fleetingly touched each other, found excuses to look into the other's eyes.
He started to greet you with "sarad", and while you were pretty sure that he was calling you something like annoying or cheeky, the gentle tone he used and the tender way he would smile at you let you know that this attraction was not as one-sided as you tried to tell yourselves sometimes.
And you were pretty sure that Mandalorians do not need to buy flowers as often as Din did.
"What does sarad mean?" you asked him once while you finished up a bouquet for another client.
He was quiet, looking at you for a long time, before: "Sarad means flower."
You stared at him, and he visibly blushed even if the rest of his face did not change.
"I like it," you said, a shy smile on your face, "Please don't stop calling me that, all right?"
He smiled brightly at you, his entire face lighting up, and you were pretty sure that if you had not been smitten before, you would have definitely fallen for him in that second.
"Okay," he said.
~
"Do you want to go dancing?" You asked him when you saw him again, this time alone, "It's the weekend soon and my friends often meet somewhere to dance."
He huffed, leaning against the stall, cutting an attractive figure against the bright light of the marketplace. It was a slow day, barely anyone coming to visit in the heat of the midday sun.
"Do I look like I dance?" Din asked, giving you a wry look.
You bit your lip, feeling your cheeks heat up.
"I could teach you," you offered, in a breathier tone than you would have liked. He looked at you, and you could have sworn that his eyes dropped to your lips for a fraction of a second, which made you even bolder, "We could dance alone at first."
He stared at you, jaw slightly ticking.
"I might have to take you up on that," he said, and oh, when did his voice become so deep?
"When do you want to?"
His eyes dropped to your lips again, this time for a longer moment, and when he said "Now," in that sinful voice of his, you knew that he was not talking about dancing at all.
Risking a look around, seeing the marketplace basically abandoned, most of the other vendors having taken a break, you decided that you could have a bit of fun.
"There is a bag of soil in the back, and I might need you to lift it for me," you told him, shooting Din a coy smile that became a full beam when he nodded, a smirk tugging at his lips as well, delightful dimples showing as his eyes crinkled in amusement.
He followed you without a word, and before you knew it, you were out of sight of everyone else.
"Can I-" you started to say, wanting to ask for his permission first when you turned around and looked at him, but he sneaked a hand behind your head, tilted your face towards him and gave you a chaste kiss on the lips.
You looked at him in surprise, mouth open, flush threatening to burn you alive.
"I'm sorry," he started to say, blushing furiously, "I've not kissed many people before, was it-"
Before he could say anything else, you had both of your hands cradling his face, tugging him closer to your body.
"That's all right," you said before kissing him again, this time opening your mouth and tasting him properly, feeling him reciprocate clumsily but with enthusiasm. Your lips parted with a quiet smack, and you stared into his face. His eyes were hooded and fixed onto you like he was a hunter and you were prey, a blush high on his cheeks, his lips slightly pinker than before.
"I'll teach you," you whispered, before kissing him again, tugging him even closer.
After that, his visits became more frequent.
~
"My alor'ad does not approve of this," Din said to you after a few more times you crossed each other's paths.
You had shown him the meadow you often went to, reading there most of the time, a small place not many people would find. The both of you were sitting in the tall grass, your fingers working on making a flower crown for Din. He did not know it was for him, yet, and he was holding his face into the sun, eyes closed as he soaked in the warmth of the summer.
You hummed, and linked your fingers into his, giving him a cheeky smile.
"My mother would not approve as well," you told him, using a long piece of grass to tie off the crown, "Always says something about finding a husband first. Would probably marry me off to the first Imperial officer she could find, to keep me out of trouble."
He opened one eye, looking at you with a smirk.
"You? A trophy wife for some cog head?"
"I would make an amazing trophy wife, thank you very much."
The young man turned onto his side, propping his head up with his hand, giving you a cocky grin.
"That you would," he said, gaze trailing along your figure, and you felt desire building in you at the heat in his eyes.
"Here, for you," you said to diffuse the tension crackling between the both of you, and presented him the wildflower crown.
Din stared at you in bewilderment, and you could not help your laugh at the offended look in his eyes.
"I'm not wearing that," he said, with a small scowl. You walked on your knees towards him, a smile threatening to split your face, and crowned him.
"I declare you king of the meadow," you said as dramatically as possible, before dissolving in a fit of giggles. You could see that he was still embarrassed, but he was grinning as well.
"I'm training to become a Mandalorian," he told you, face becoming very serious, raising his eyebrows at you and tilting his chin towards his chest, his dark eyes making you feel all sorts of butterflies, "I am very dangerous and can kill you with no hesitation."
You nodded, a mocking expression on your face, knowing deep inside that he would never harm you without reason. "That's hot."
He snorted in surprise, a loud laugh ringing through the meadow.
"I can take out a stormtrooper within twenty seconds."
You giggled, slapping his chest slightly. "So could a very determined duck. Or a Gungan!"
He attacked you, tickling fingers trailing along your side, making you shriek as you tried to get away from him.
"Take that back," Din demanded, a playful smile on his face.
"Okay, okay!" You laughed, squirming under his touch, "You're a mighty warrior."
He nodded, and raised his eyebrows at you expectantly.
"Din, are you fishing for compliments?"
He winked at you. "I might be."
You pushed at his shoulder, chuckling to yourself, before you started off.
"You can take on four men at once."
He furrowed his brows and nodded thoughtfully, lips pursed, "I like those odds."
"You can use those badass jetpacks." You pressed a small kiss onto his knuckles, desperately trying not to laugh when his gaze became self-satisfied.
"Training in the Rising Phoenix, sarad, don't you forget that."
"You can roundhouse kick a blurrg!"
Dissolving into giggles, you pressed your face into his chest, feeling it rumble with laughter as well.
The both of you cackled for several minutes straight, everytime you caught each other's gazes, starting to laugh again.
It took too long until you could breathe normally again.
"Haven't tried that yet," Din said, making you giggle.
"You're a mighty warrior, we all know that, no need to brag."
He smirked at you, the corner of his mouth twitching up. "But you know that it's not bragging if you can actually do it."
"I'm sure you can," you snorted, "But even warriors can wear flower crowns."
Din scoffed, a big grin on his face. "Is that so?"
He tried to take the crown off, but you pushed it deeper onto his head, flattening his shaggy hair against his forehead. He tried again, crunching his nose at you, a playful smile on his face, but you resisted his charm to the best of your abilities.
He quickly grabbed your shoulder and flipped you around, making you shriek with laughter as he pinned you onto the ground.
"Stop that," he said, and you could feel his belly twitch against you as he suppressed his laughter, "I'm very dangerous and I have a reputation to uphold."
"Of course, Din," you said, smiling up at him, his head eclipsing the sun in your view. Tugging at his hair, he pulled the crown down and set it onto your head.
"It suits you better," he said in a rough voice, and before you know it, he was devouring you in a searing kiss that made your toes curl, a hand on your cheek, tilting your face up to him for better access.
When he groaned your name into your mouth, you almost came on the spot.
~
You had told him to come to the meadow tonight, and you were excited beyond compare. As soon as you saw his familiar frame, tall and lanky but with deliciously broad shoulders, you made your way through the high grass, a basket in your hands.
"I brought food," you told him shyly, before spreading a picnic blanket onto the ground, flattening it carefully.
He dropped to his knees, and helped to make it more even, then put the basket right on the side so one corner would be secured by the weight.
You both took your shoes off, and after a bit of light conversation and nibbling at the various fruits you had packed, relaxed into each other.
"You know I can't do this for long, right?" Din asked, slowly tracing the side of your face with a gentle finger, his head propped up by his hand as you lay side by side under the guise of watching the stars.
You turned your head to him, and stared into his face.
"How long do we have?" you asked him, voice quiet and very small.
"Two months," he said, voice rough.
To avoid having to answer to that, you kissed him desperately, rolling on top of him, bodies flush together as you straddled his lap, feeling proof of his desire against you. Kissing your way down his neck, you were careful not to leave any marks that Din could be punished for, should the Mandalorians see them. His hands were on you, kneading your sides, pulling you close.
He sat up quickly, and took off his shirt, and with pooling desire you absorbed the sight of his toned upper body, some scars curling around his arms and one slash across his abs.
He was beautiful. And you told him that as well, watching him blush, gaze darkening.
When you looked him into the eyes in the dim starlight, he gave you a slightly nervous but determined smile. You quickly resolved to kiss every single one of the scars he might possess, leaving a trail of wet kisses on his chest, then his stomach, and then lower.
He gasped when you wrapped your lips around him, his fingers tightening in your hair.
~
It was sufficient to say that while his visits were frequent before, now they were a nightly occurrence.
You could not always finish your explorations of each other, sometimes your commlink blinked and your mother demanded to know where you are, but most of the time it was Din's, the covert sending out messages to several of their trainees, having them run errands. But despite all of that, you learned each other's bodies quite well anyways. Using every moment you had together, touching the other one, feeling your skin against each other, the evidence for your desire never failed to make the other one dizzy.
You learned a lot about Din during those stolen nights, and days, and little breaks whenever you could manage to sneak away.
He was just as enthusiastic kissing you on the mouth as everywhere else, which you loved. It was almost as if he was trying to absorb as much of your touch as possible, probably stocking up on touch before he will swear the creed in a few weeks.
As much as you wished that he would choose you over his tribe, you know he would not. It was too important to him.
So you took everything he had to offer you now, and made the best of it.
You made love under the stars so many times you had lost count, hiding a smile every time you felt the dull ache he left behind, and with Din's passion, you had never been so grateful before that you had the implant.
And it was so unfair, as well, for he had the face of an angel but his voice was sinful, making your head spin in the best of ways. Letting him in your life and between your legs was one of the best things that could have happened to you, even though time was working against you.
Din always let his mouth run while you were warming his ears with your thighs, while he was deep inside you, murmuring against your neck, while his fingers were buried in you, or in your hair as you looked up into his dark eyes, winking as you swirled your tongue around him.
He never seemed to be able to shut up while you were around him, on him, under him, and it was as if he tried to make up for lost time already.
You pretended that you do not cry yourself to sleep because of his creed sometimes.
~
"I'll be of age in the fall," he told you again when you were hiding in the back of the stall on another slow day with almost no customers. You were on his lap, both of you with flushed faces and heaving chests after you spend several minutes simply making out, hearts fluttering fast in your chests. "I can't stay for long."
Even as your heart broke at hearing that, you decided that, once again, it was a problem for future-you.
"Then we'll make the best of it," you said before capturing his lips again, making him groan deep in his throat.
"You're so pretty," he whispered, his big hands resting on your waist, pulling your bodies close together, his dark eyes burning into you, the shaggy fringe falling into his eyes softening his face, "So, so pretty."
"Even when I'm making you flower crowns?" you teased.
"Especially when you're doing that," he whispered, and you pushed his fringe away from his face, pressing a kiss to his forehead.
"Din," you murmured his name, looking at him tenderly.
"You've wrapped me up in your daisy chains, sarad."
Heart clenching at the genuine affection in his voice, you kissed him to shut him up, feeling him smile against you, knowing that your days together were coming to an end.

genre: the fluffiest
word count: 2.2k ________________________________________________
Your POV
It was absolutely beautiful outside. The previous night’s snowfall left a pristine blanket of white on the street. You looked outside your window to see several kids making snowmen or engaging in snowball fights.
Ahh the innocent ideal of the youth.
You wished you could go outside and join in on the winter festivities without any care in the world, but alas being a working adult crushed those wishes any day. And it didn’t help that you felt like complete shit right now.
For the past week and a half, you were working nonstop on a project that had a heavy deadline submission which ended yesterday. You barely completed it on time, sacrificing your well-loved sleep and meals to have a presentable end product.
If you were back in high school or college, your stamina could have easily bounced back from the lack of sleep and nutrition, but your body couldn’t handle the neglect right now—and the cold weather only catalyzed your impending sickness.
Trudging back to bed, you winced as you tried to make yourself comfortable under the covers, muscles aching with every movement. You were at least thankful that your boss granted everyone an off-day today because of the snow, giving you one less thing to worry about in your list of priorities.
Faintly, you heard the jingle of keys from your front door, a tinge of excitement filling you at your guest.
“Baby?”
“In my room.”
“Shit, you sound so weak.” Your boyfriend frowned as he entered your bedroom, removing his hat and coat and placing it on the table by your desk. He walked over to where you were laying, leaning down for a kiss when you ducked under the covers, “Binnie, I don’t wanna get you sick.”
He let out a chuckle, removing the blanket from covering your face and stealing a kiss anyway. You scrunched your nose up, “If you get sick, don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
“I’ll take my chances, baby.” Bin said with a smile, taking a seat at the side of your bed. He softly caressed your hair, “Hmm, how are you feeling?”
“A bit better now that you’re here,” You said trying to sound positive, “but if you’re asking me physically? Terrible.”
“Have you eaten?? What about a shower? Taking one helps a lot, and it makes you feel clean.” Bin nagged, thumb rubbing your cheek. You pouted, lightly shaking your head, “I’m not hungry, and it hurts too much when I move. Maybe later Binnie, my head really hurts right now and I just wanna close my eyes.”
He nodded, immediately standing up to go over to the other side of the bed. Bin crawled into bed next to you, arm hooking under your shoulder as you turned to hug his waist, snuggling as close to him as you could get. He kissed your forehead sweetly, humming a little song as you started to get comfortable, his chest as your pillow. Rubbing your arm gently as he sang, it took you only a couple minutes before your breathing evened out, the pounding of your head dulling as sleep overtook you.
Bin nuzzled his nose in your hair, your scent giving him a fluttery feeling in the base of his stomach. A little nap with you was too good to pass at the moment. Just fifteen minutes, Bin thought as he closed his eyes, feeling his body relax against yours.
After a little while, Bin found himself stirring awake, much to his dismay because he loved his sleep. Blinking the drowsiness away, he glanced at you to see that you were still deeply in slumber, soft snores coming out of your mouth. He smiled unable to stop himself from pressing a kiss to your cheek. He almost felt bad untangling himself from your hold at the risk of waking you up.
Carefully, he got up and out of bed, making sure that you were still tucked in before heading to the kitchen, closing the door quietly as he left. Bin let out a huge yawn as he washed his hands in the kitchen sink, getting ready to prep some ingredients for the soup he was about to make.
Bin played some music on his phone as he cooked, loud enough to give him entertainment, but at a volume so that it wouldn’t disturb you. He was pretty proud of himself after finishing the chicken soup, plating the bowl nicely on one of your bedside trays with some medicine and a glass of water. Bin even cleaned up the pots he used for cooking, knowing that it was better for him to wash it now while he still had the motivation. And there was no way that he would let you lift a finger while he was here taking care of you.
After washing his hands again, Bin went back into your bedroom, tray in hand. He set it down briefly on your table to wake you up, tapping your shoulder. “y/n? Wake up baby.”
You groaned, eyes still closed as you turned in your bed, back facing your boyfriend. “5 more minutes.”
“Baby, the soup’s gonna get cold. C’mon, you have to eat even a little bit.” He reasoned, pulling the blanket so that your upper half was exposed. You nodded drowsily, struggling as you tried to sit up. Bin smiled, propping some pillows up for you to sit against. “I made chicken soup, after you eat take some medicine okay?”
“Okay,” You nodded slowly with your eyes closed, moving your hair to the back as Bin brought the tray over. Your headache wasn’t as strong as before, but your body still felt like it was throbbing a little, hopefully eating and the medicine would help cure you a bit.
“Do you want me to feed you?” Bin teased, half jokingly but also you knew he would if you really asked him to. Again, you nodded opening your mouth obediently. Grinning, he took a spoonful of broth, making sure to blow on it so that it wouldn’t be too hot before feeding you. “You’re so cute, y/n. You really are my baby, hm?”
“Mm I’m sick,” You said finally opening your eyes, sleep still heavy on your lids. You weren’t really disagreeing with him though. “That’s really good Binnie, I can feel my sinuses clearing up a little.”
“I made it with love,” He said cutely, leaning over to kiss you quickly on the lips. You let out an amused chuckle, letting his greasy comment slide as you opened your mouth for more.
The two of you conversed easily as he fed you, catching you up on the latest drama at his work and with his friends. Although Bin made the soup for you, you made sure that he filled his hunger a little bit too, making him finish the rest of the bowl when you felt full. He praised you like a child when you took your medicine and finished the glass of water, it was a bit endearing if you were honest. “Do you need anything right now? How are you feeling?”
“I’m okay baby, thank you.” You said getting comfortable again under the covers. “Cuddle??”
“I’ll just put this away and then I’m all yours.” Bin nodded with a smile, going to the kitchen once more. After a couple minutes, he returned with a towel and a bowl of water.
“I thought we were gonna cuddle?” You pouted looking at him. Laughing, he dipped the towel in the bowl and wrung out the water, bringing it to you and placing it on your forehead. “We are baby, let me just try and bring your fever down a bit, your skin’s burning.”
You nodded, your body basically dead weight as he helped you sit up again, cooling your skin with the damp towel. You hummed in satisfaction, the cold cloth a nice comparison to your hot skin. “We might as well have just taken a bath.”
“Do you want to?” He asked rubbing the towel around your back. “Bath and then cuddle after?”
“Mhm,” You said removing the blanket and getting up, Bin holding your waist as you two walked to the bathroom. He told you to wait a minute as he turned on the water, checking the temperature as it filled up the bathtub. After deeming that the water was at a good amount, Bin started to strip himself of his clothing, stepping into the tub soon after. “Do you want my help, baby?”
“In your dreams,” You quipped removing your shirt. “Keep your hormones at bay, Binnie, my sick body won’t allow it.”
Your boyfriend chuckled, grabbing his phone from the counter and playing some music. “You know sex can help with removing sickness, y/n?”
“Uh huh, ask me that question again tomorrow and we’ll see how I respond.” You said getting in the tub and nestling between his legs. You shivered a little as your skin made contact with the water, leaning back against Bins chest for warmth. He grinned, wrapping his arms around your waist as he pulled you close, pressing a kiss to your temple.
You relaxed in the cage of Bin’s arms, resting your head against his chest as he began to sing along to the song that was playing on his phone, rubbing the belly softly under the water. The two of you sat like that for a while, you cooling down in silence, content with listening to Bin’s voice.
“Sit up for a second baby, let me wash your hair.” He said, lifting his arms from your body and reaching for your shampoo. He squeezed a generous amount onto his hand, first massaging it into your hair before using the leftover for his own. It was a bit of a struggle to wash away all the suds, the size of your bathtub barely enough to fit both you and Bin comfortably, but you somehow made it work. After deciding that dunking you both under water to rinse off the shampoo clearly wasn’t the right idea, Bin grabbed the shower head and opted for that instead, giggles coming from the both of you.
“Ah Binnie!” You whined as he started to tickle your sides, your boyfriend laughing as he drenched your head with water. “I’m cleansing you of your sickness, baby!”
That cycle repeated again, this time with conditioner, and by the time the two of you were done with your bath-turned-shower, the floor surrounding the tub was wet from all the splashes and Bin’s use of the detachable shower head.
You shivered, arms hugging your body as Bin grabbed two towels, drying himself off first before doing the same to you. “I could have dried myself, baby.”
“I’m here taking care of you, and that includes drying you.” He shook his head. You chuckled, unsure of his logic but let him do as he pleased anyway. Bin smiled, eyes formed into crescent moons as he dried your hair, gently shaking the towel all over your head. Laughing, you went on your tiptoes, arms locking around his neck as you kissed him. He made a sound of contentment, moving his lips in tune with yours as his hands dropped down to your waist, leaving the towel on the top of your head.
After a minute or so, you pulled away, a giggle leaving you as you saw Bin’s pout. You pecked his lips again briefly, before grabbing the towel and drying your hair again. Bin made sure to thoroughly dry the floor before the two of you went back to your bedroom. He changed into some shorts that he left at your place, deciding to forego a shirt since he usually chose not to sleep with one anyway. You, on the other hand, slipped on Bin’s shirt and a pair of pajama shorts, climbing immediately in bed after your hair was decently dry.
He came to join you after getting another glass of water, encouraging you to drink it all before he cuddled you, knowing that the two of you were going to end up napping again. You finished the glass with ease, placing it on your bedside table, and turning to your boyfriend. He smiled, wrapping his arms around you again as the two of you laid down, finding yourselves in the same position as when he first came over earlier. “How are you feeling now, baby?”
“Honestly? Better.” You said, lips brushing against his clavicle. The medicine kicked in by now, but you were sure that Bin also had a lot to do with your slow recovery. “You’re all the medicine I need, baby.”
He let out a high-pitched cackle, squeezing your body a little tighter as he kissed your forehead. “If I get sick, will you be my medicine?”
“Of course,” You grinned, the tips of your fingers lazily drawing figures on his abdomen. “I love you Binnie, thank you for taking care of me.”
“I’ll always take care of you, y/n.” He said softly, taking in your scent as he closed his eyes. “I love you too.”
You drifted off to sleep listening to his breathing, a deep slumber overtaking you. By the next morning, you woke up feeling loads better, your temperature now at a normal level and your headache mostly gone. You turned your head to see Bin still sleeping, a smile on your face as you craned your neck to kiss his cheek. You sighed, relaxing yourself in his hold before closing your eyes again, sleeping for a little longer wouldn’t hurt. Especially if Bin was by your side.

The only one who makes me nervous
Incredible but true - I wrote something! And am posting it!
This is my piece for the great @mysme-rbb and I got to collaborate with @braincellbank, definitely check their artwork out! The CMC used in this is theirs ^-^
You can also find the fic on Ao3!
So here goes a lot of fluffy, cute Jaehee pining~
╰⊱♥⊱╮●╭⊱♥≺
With suspicion, Jaehee squints her eyes at the ingredients on the countertop of her and Lila's brand new cafe. After months of preparation and an almost breakdown when she asked them to become her partner for this adventure, Jaehee's dream finally comes true - a cute, domestic yet elegant cafe that she owns with her best friend.
But…
"There was more chocolate."
Lila's eyes widen and they furrow their eyebrows, looking at the potential crime scene as well. "Huh? What do you mean?" They check the scale. "It's the exact amount we need for the recipe."
Jaehee shakes her head, looking at the pieces in the bowl. "I could have sworn I put more in there…"
"You're probably just nervous! We're about to bake our very first cake for the cafe, isn't it exciting?"
The way they beam at Jaehee makes her chest feel warm and her knees go a little weak, causing Jaehee to forget what she was just thinking about entirely.
"That must be it, I'm sure you're right. This is what I've dreamed of for a very long time, I feel all… fluttery inside." To hide her soft chuckle, Jaehee turns her head away a little and shields her mouth with one of her hands. Showing emotion is still… foreign to her and she is still shy about it.
Lila clicks their tongue in disapproval. "Now come over here and let me see that stunning face of yours, we have work to do! I'm all excited for this too but I'm waiting for the proper view." Demanding, they motion to the space across from them, followed by a little wink.
As all of Lila's teasing does, their comment makes Jaehee's heart hiccup in her chest, a too familiar heat already painting her cheeks in a soft blush. There’s only one way to deal with them when they get like that…
Speaking Korean, especially if the sentences are long and spoken fast, is the only way for Jaehee to feel like she is still somewhat in control when she is around Lila. Given that Korean is not their first language and they’re still learning, they tend to get really sheepish when they don’t understand something. And, for Jaehee, it’s the only weapon she has to not let Lila’s boldness knock her out.
Normally, she speaks English around them or slow, easy Korean. But not in moments like this.
“If only you knew what you’re doing to me with such behavior…”
Jaehee keeps her voice low and talks fast, even a fluent speaker would have had trouble to understand her.
“What was that?” The cocky grin on their face immediately shrinks to a shy expression and Jaehee can’t help but feel a little guilty, although relieved.
Of course she hates it to make her friend feel insecure, she wants to make them feel just as strong and support them just as much as they do for her. But sometimes she has to do this, only to not combust due to the hidden feelings in her heart.
“Oh, nothing. Let’s start baking.” With a somewhat apologetic smile, she walks up to Lila and stands on the other side of the countertop, looking at the instructions in front of her. Now, she has to fire Lila’s confidence in themself again. “How about you start with the dough while I try out these decorations? Your doughs always turn out amazing.” The proud gleam in Lila’s eyes that Jaehee likes to see so much is back immediately. “They do indeed. What are you making?” Curiously, they get to their tiptoes, trying to get a peek of the picture she is holding. “Some flowers.” Calculating, she leans her head to the side, inspecting the pictures as well, lowering the piece of paper so it's easier for Lila to see. “I’ve never tried to make these before but I wanted to set myself a challenge. Hopefully, they’ll turn out fine.” “I’m sure they’ll turn out perfect. Like you.” One of Lila’s hands lands on Jaehee’s cheek, presumably for encouragement, and Jaehee can practically feel their chuckle as she straightens as if the touch burned her skin. Which it really seems to do, given how hot she feels all of a sudden. “Y-yes. I… Maybe. Yes, I’ll do my best.”
Not knowing what else she could possibly say that wouldn’t give away how fast her heart is beating, Jaehee gets to work. She presses her lips together and tries to ignore Lila’s gaze she can clearly feel on herself as she begins to knead and color the fondant.
Luckily, Lila decides to be merciful and not make any more comments that get Jaehee out of her concentration, maybe so they can get to work as well.
It doesn’t take the young woman long to forget everything around herself as she fully focuses on the task at hand. She gets lost in the thrill of trying new, challenging things and the rewarding feeling when an experiment with one of her utensils works out, giving the flowers as they are described in the instructions her own twist. One petal after the next is formed and, after some time, Jaehee finds a routine, the activity having a quite calming and almost meditative effect on her.
Her thoughts wander.
And, as they do so very often, they wander to the wonderful person standing in front of her right now.
It’s been a few months since they’ve met, got to know each other and even ended up as close as they are right now. Not much, in Jaehee’s opinion, and yet she can barely recall a time where Lila hasn’t been in her life, much less can or does she want to imagine a future without them. They have saved her from her monotone, stressful life that never would have gained her any kind of happiness and turned it upside down. They have turned it into an unpredictable, exciting adventure, the only goal being to chase their dreams and find joy. Together.
Never again does Jaehee want to be without Lila’s stirring presence that doesn’t only bring spice but also light into her life.
Of course it hadn’t been easy for Jaehee to admit to herself that she’d fallen in love. Of course she had been scared of rejection, of the possible heartbreak. Of the risks that come with loving someone so deeply, even after such a short period of time, only falling deeper for their captivating soul more and more with every passing day.
But no matter how strong her fears had been, by that, they only became the evidence for her feelings for Lila. And finally, after multiple sleepless nights, Jaehee had not only faced the truth that she’s helplessly lost her heart to the best friend she’s ever had, she also came to the conclusion that all of this turmoil is worth it. That the nagging fear is nothing compared to the exciting tingle that runs from the center of her stomach through her entire body as soon as Lila walks into the room. That a possible heartbreak is a price she is willing to pay, as long as she gets to feel the way she does for a little while longer every time Lila smiles at her, only her.
And now, they’re working together, they’re partners. Maybe they’ll never be more than that, friends and partners, but Jaehee knows that, at least, they will always be together. Even if she should slip one day - Lila won’t just leave her for the way she feels. In that, Jaehee trusts unconditionally. In Lila, she trusts unconditionally.
Before she knows it, she’s used up the last bit of fondant, has created the last flower for the day. Proudly, Jaehee looks down at the decorations in front of her, all kinds of blossoms in many different colors, shades and sizes spreading out on the table.
"I did it!" The excitement in her voice is very clear and maybe, normally, she would try to conceal it to keep her countenance. But right now, she's way too happy and feels way too safe and comfortable with Lila to even care.
"I knew it!" There's some flour on Lila's cheek as they grin at Jaehee. "I told you they'll look perfect. You did it!"
Far from sick of looking at her own creations, Jaehee smiles down at the sugary decoration in front of her again. Then, she turns her head up to look at Lila again, unaware of the fact that her friend had just started leaning forward to peck her cheek.
Lila's lips land on the corner of Jaehee's mouth and she freezes. Time seems to stop and so does her heartbeat.
As to be expected, Lila isn't fazed by it at all. On the contrary, they seem to enjoy it quite a lot judging by the amused grin on their face and the fact that they stay much closer than they'd need to. They're not even saying anything and yet Jaehee feels like she will be reduced to an inarticulate, blushy mess in mere seconds.
There’s nothing she can do but pointedly look to the side to stop her brain from short-circuiting. No matter how much she wants to look at her stunning friend, she can’t, knowing that, if she would, she couldn't rip her eyes off the lips she so badly wants to feel on hers.
And at that moment, there's just one thing Jaehee can do.
"While investing in the stock market, it's very important to maximize the possible outcome for your transaction while simultaneously minimizing the risk you take."
Although she's speaking her native tongue, Jaehee stumbles over her own words with how quickly she is saying them. Also, she's not even sure if what she just said actually makes sense.
Yet, the words have the effect she was desperately hoping for - Lila softly shakes their head, the threateningly teasing expression on their face making way for utter confusion as they subconsciously draw back a few inches.
Jaehee hates it as much as it makes her feel relieved.
"What?"
"Nothing!" Quickly, Jaehee turns to face the table again, unnecessarily starting to sort the flowers still laying there by size. If she's confronted with that gorgeous face any longer, she won't be able to hold back anymore. "We should-"
Before she can bring up her suggestion to give the cake more layers than they'd originally planned, Lila gently places their hand on hers on the table between them.
If she is honest to herself, Jaehee knows that she wants nothing to be between them anymore, to separate them.
At first, she still refuses to look at Lila. Even without getting lost in those lovely eyes of the person that saved her from the miserable life she has been living - the speed of her heartbeat is already concerning.
But the light caress of their soft fingers on her skin makes her slowly, carefully, look up at them again, bringing her even closer to the figure she wants to embrace and never let go.
She really wants the piece of furniture gone.
"Do I truly make you this nervous?"
Lila's voice is low and raw, not hiding the emotions behind their words. They sound surprisingly hopeful and… a little scared?
Not trusting her voice to do what she wants, Jaehee just nods. Shouldn't Lila know about the effect they have on her? With how much they've been playing around with it, Jaehee has been convinced they know.
But Lila shakes their head.
"I mean, is it me who makes you nervous? Or is it the flirting, the teasing? Would you get flustered by anyone acting like this?"
Trying to calm down her rapidly beating heart, Jaehee shakes her head. She swallows, wanting her words to be audible and the truth in them to be apparent.
"I get flustered because it's you, Lila. It's not just the teasing. Everything you do makes me nervous somehow. But at the same time, you're the only person that can truly calm me down."
As to prove her statement, she nervously averts her gaze. She doesn't know much about friendship and how it works, she's worried she's said too much. And Lila is so close… Concentrating is impossible.
Time seems to be standing still.
This may be because Lila stands still, a thing they usually never do. It makes Jaehee feel a bit uneasy, she isn't sure what to think of this or what to expect, it's so atypical for her friend.
Her thoughts keep running, trying to figure out what exactly is happening right now and how to act further. Eventually, after not finding any satisfying answer, Jaehee decides to slowly turn her head back to look at Lila again.
The intensity in Lila's eyes keeps her in place as soon as their gazes lock. Now both of them seem to be frozen in time, just staring at each other.

Jaehee has no idea what this means or what step should be taken next, let alone by whom. She just knows that she doesn't want to look away.
When Lila finally moves, it happens suddenly and fast.
Jaehee's eyes widen when they suddenly jerk forward, and they widen even more as Lila presses their lips to hers.
It takes Jaehee's brain a moment to catch up to what's happening, to understand it. To understand that this is real, that what she's secretly dreamed of and fantasized about for weeks and months truly is happening, right here and now.
But as soon as it sinks in, her eyes flutter closed and her free hand, the one Lila isn't touching, finds their cheek.
The kiss feels like heaven.
Soon, Lila relaxes into Jaehee's touch and the frantic, nervous hectic of the firm pressing of their lips shifts into a soft, loving exploration.
In no time, Jaehee is entirely captivated, forgetting that the world exists around them and even if she would remember, she wouldn't care. All she cares about is Lila.
Lila's touch, their warmth, their scent. The fact that this kiss feels even better than she could have ever imagined it.
Her heart beats so fast it seems like it's trying to fly out of her chest to catapult itself into the sky to rejoice.
And Lila's lips taste so sweet…
Too sweet.
With a gasp, Jaehee breaks the kiss.
"You did snack on the chocolate! I knew it!"
Throwing their head back, Lila laughs, their earlier stillness nowhere to be found anymore. Their smile is just as wide as Jaehee's and they look just as happy as her.
Jaehee couldn't care less about the chocolate.
"Guess you've caught me." Another sly smile makes it to their lips. "Guess I'll have to make up for it…"
A quiet, displeased noise slips over Jaehee's lips as Lila draws back. But soon, they've made their way around the table and Jaehee finds herself in their arms, embracing them as well on instinct.
"I don't think I want to bake anymore today."
They're both grinning at each other before their lips meet in another kiss.

A Secret’s Worth
Chapter 17: Jim
Ao3

And if anyone feels like I didn’t tag/warn about something that I should have please let me know. This is your warning, here be dragons, proceed with caution.
There was a stain in the carpet, from coffee if he had to guess. A dark brown spot glaringly obvious against the beige. It looked just big enough for his hand to cover.
“Jim, are you listening?”
He jerked his eyes up from the floor towards the desk in front of him.
“Sorry what was that?”
Her lips turned downwards into a tiny frown “We were discussing your goals Jim,”
“Oh, right….” he drummed his fingers against his knees.
A goal. Jim had still been trying to think of one when he zoned out looking at the carpet.
Couldn’t do any kind of job or college, those weren’t happening for him. She’d said their goals could be as long term or short term as they wanted, so maybe--
“My goal is to buy my own Vespa,” Jim said, giving himself a mental pat on the back as he did.
Owning his own Vespa. Nice, realistic, normal. A good, solid goal that no one should look twice at.
The frown melted away into a wide smile “That’s great, do you have anywhere you want to go in your Vespa?”
His face blanked, stomach dropping no less than two inches.
Stupid.
People wanted cars and Vespas and stuff because they wanted to go places in them. Unlike Jim who was never going to leave his hometown.
“Ummm…..not sure, all the places I normally go I guess,” he forced his voice to stay even despite the squirming in his belly.
Her porcelain smile remained fixed in place “I think that sounds like an excellent goal, but how about you try to think of a more long term goal before the end of the school year?”
Jim nodded along, digging his fingers into his jeans to distract himself from the hot, fluttery feeling sweeping over his entire body.
Was she suspicious? Did she pick up on how he wasn’t actually planning on going anywhere? Was she going to call Dorrie the second he left her office?
“Ok, long term goal next time, I can do that,”
Beaming at him, she pulled a packet of papers off the top of the pile sitting on her desk “You don’t have to use the guide to pick a goal, but if you have trouble thinking of one these should give you some ideas, now do you mind sending in the next student on your way out?”
Jim forced himself to stand up slowly and not just bolt out the door “Ok, no problem,”
“Thanks, have a good spring break,”
He managed to smile and give a half hearted ‘You to’ as he accepted the papers and stepped out of the office. Heading down the hallway back to the main waiting room, the jittery feeling crawling through his muscles diminishing but not completely going away.
It never did.
Glancing around the waiting room, he spotted the next person in line.
“Eli, you’re up,”
Eli fumbled with the magazine in his hands before popping up out of his seat “Oh, thanks Jim,” he grabbed the magazine along with a stack of others from the floor before rushing down the hall. Jim craned his head to try and read the cover before Eli vanished around the corner.
Keep So-Cal Weird.
Jim rolled his eyes as he exited the main office. At least his goals wouldn’t be as weird as Eli’s. Although quite frankly he’d rather live in a world where they didn’t make freshmen discuss their goals with the guidance counselors.
It wasn’t like Jim didn’t have enough on his plate already.
He had no idea if guidance counselors and social workers talked to each other on a regular basis, but he had to play it safe and act like they did.
Especially since he was like 99% sure that all the teachers knew. He knew that Strickler knew, and he was pretty sure that Strickler had told all the other teachers. So it was more like he was 99.999% sure they all knew, and the 0.001% was just him kidding himself.
So now he couldn’t even come up with some kind of goals to give the guidance counselor without his anxiety going through the roof.
Jim all but threw his bag into the locker and slammed it closed with much more force than was needed, unable to stop himself from getting worked up.
This past month had been the absolute worst of his entire life.
It had started when he’d walked in on Dorrie and Charles going through their house and it hadn’t really improved since.
When he and his mom had gone over their game plan that night after the initial panic it hadn’t seemed all that bad. Be extra vigilant about making sure that no one saw anything weird and otherwise pretend that everything was normal. If they kept on top of it the investigation should fizzle out to nothing.
Simple enough.
And the first week hadn’t been all that bad, tense but not bad. Week two had been nerve wracking but doable. Week three was when he really started having trouble sleeping, and it wasn’t like he got tons of sleep to begin with. That snowballed to him starting to forget late night meals and nod off during the day, having to work even harder at keeping up the act during school.
Although if Jim was honest with himself he forgot most of those night time meals on purpose.
On top of that, week four was when he developed a stomach ache that wouldn’t go away, not to mention learned that his hair was falling out. Now it was the end of week five and Jim couldn’t remember a time when he wasn’t stressed out, dead tired, and constantly felt like rats were chewing on his insides.
Grimacing, Jim pressed a hand to his stomach as he turned and headed to the cafeteria. Feeling sick and exhausted all the time sucked, but that was nothing compared to the everpresent, unrelenting, blood curdling dread.
The fear that he’d somehow let something slip. That right at this moment someone was coming to arrest his mom and take him away. All because of something Jim said or did.
Forget walking on eggshells, this was more like crawling through a minefield.
Every second that Jim was outside his house he had to be on guard; keeping himself under complete control at all times. Making sure that anyone watching, teachers, nurses, other classmates, wouldn’t see anything worth reporting. No outbursts no meltdowns no nothing.
As far as anyone else knew the Lakes were a normal, happy family. And Jim had to act like it.
But after five weeks he knew that was a hell of a lot easier said than done.
Jim couldn’t be sad or scared or angry any more, even about regular things. With so many people watching he couldn’t afford to let them get the wrong idea. So regardless of what he was actually feeling at any given time, he forced himself to stay calm, plastered on a happy face, and continued along like everything was fine.
But he wasn’t fine. Underneath his plastic smile Jim was coming apart at the seams.
He felt like a nerve with all the skin and muscle ripped away. Exposed to the cold air and completely vulnerable, ready to go off at the slightest touch.
Constantly keeping himself under control in front of all the teachers and every other adult in school was was bad enough, even without--
Jim stopped short as he stepped into the cafeteria, instantly spotting them sitting at a corner table. Five weeks ago the sight would have been somewhat soothing, now it was enough to make his heartbeat triple and intestines knot up.
Pulling in a shaky breath, Jim forced down the sudden bout of nerves.
He was in the middle of school in the middle of the cafeteria surrounded by other people. Now was not the time to lose it.
Five in. Hold for five. Five out.
Repeat
After a minute of deep breathing the full body shivers finally diminished to a much more manageable fluttering in his chest. Confident that he’d successfully gotten his emotions under control, Jim raised a foot and slowly resumed his approach.
Jim had been going back and forth about doing this for weeks, but this morning cinched it.
He was doing this. Today. Right here right now. Even if the idea of doing it felt like standing on the edge of a cliff.
Because the worst part of the past month hadn’t been constantly being on guard or always being tired and nauseous. It was not knowing who’d he had to be on guard from.
A month ago, when he’d walked in on CPS in his house, Jim instantly knew one of his friends had blabbed.
While his immediate response had been to call Toby and demand answers, it didn’t take very long for Jim to shift gears to shoving the thought into the back of his mind and keeping it there. Couldn’t do anything to change it so there was no point to shoving his foot into that hornets nest. A with the way things had blown up when their problems with his mom first came out, forcing the issue might put him on the odds with all of them, and cost Jim the one part of his life that didn’t actively suck right now. The only thing to do was let it go.
So Jim let it go.
But as the weeks went by, despite how much he actively tried not to think about it, small doubts kept sprouting up in the back of his mind like weeds.
Did Mary really mean it when she asked how he was doing or was she fishing?
Was Toby trying to be helpful by offering to help carry groceries in or was he looking for a chance to spy inside the house?
His heart shot up into his throat, pounding as he closed in on the table.
And while Jim knew it had to be one of the four of them that called, he still had no idea who it was. That meant he didn’t know who it wasn’t either.
So as much as he tried, as much as he wanted to, Jim could never completely relax around any of his friends.
It was bad enough being on edge with every single adult in his life, but not knowing which one of his friends had stabbed him in the back, and worse not knowing if they were waiting to do it again…..
Jim stopped in his tracks, table just inches away. The four of them chatting away, his presence still unnoticed. Heartbeat hammering in his ears.
This was going to be ugly but Jim just couldn’t take not knowing any more. One way or another the truth was coming out today.
“I know one of you called the cops on my mom, so who was it?”
The four of them practically jumped in their seats before whirling around to face him. Claire was the first to find her tongue.
“What?”
Her eyebrows were knitted together in confusion. An expression shared by all the others sitting around her.
Somehow that made the lump of coal sitting in his ribcage smolder hotter even as his heart was threatening to beat out of it.
One of them knew exactly what he was talking about. One of them was only pretending to be confused.
“A month ago someone called CPS on my mom and I know it was one of you,” he made a show of narrowing his eyes and crossing his arms “So don’t try to deny it,”
They all turned and looked at each other, shifting uncomfortably in their seats.
Jim stood his ground, mouth set into a firm line and prickling doubts shoved down into the bottoms of his feet. There it was, the accusation out in the open. Whoever it was might try to deny it, but Jim knew it had to be one of the four of them, and he wasn’t going to let them weasel their way out of--
“Jim….” Toby spoke slowly, briefly meeting his eyes before looking away “We….all did,”
His heart stopped.
For a moment Jim wasn’t sure how to respond, wondering if he’d actually heard Toby correctly, then the world slowly started to turn again and the words sank in.
“.....you what?”
“It’s true,” he snapped his gaze over to Darci, she flinched but didn’t look away “After we tried...talking to you, the three of us went to my dad and showed him the photos,” she glanced over to Toby at her side “It was only after that we learned Toby also talked to someone about--”
Jim whirled on Mary “I thought you said you deleted those?!”
“I-- uh-- umm…” she squirmed in her seat “I....made…...copies,”
Jim’s jaw fell open, unable to form words.
Out of all the possibilities, all the theories and ideas he’d had on who might have called, he’d never even dreamed that they’d all been in on it together.
His head was spinning, insides frozen and a roaring sound in his ears. Both hands rising up and fisiting through his hair, in a distant part of his mind he knew he shouldn’t be doing that since it was still falling out.
Just when he’d thought there couldn’t be anything else. That life couldn’t possibly throw anything worse at him--
Things became worse than he ever could have imagined.
He was faintly aware that the four of them were glancing around at each other from across the cafeteria table “Ok,” Claire laid both hands flat in front of her palms down “You have every right to be mad at us, but…”
Jim tuned her out, he couldn’t bring himself to pay attention to whatever Claire was saying when his world was going to pieces right now.
He thought that when he figured out who had been the one to call CPS he could call them out for lying and get the rest of the group to back him up. That he’d figure out who he could actually feel safe with and finally be able to fix at least one part of his completely messed up life.
But it hadn’t been one of them, it had been all of them. They’d torn his life apart and kept it a secret. They lied to him. Every day. For over a month.
Heat shot through him, flooding through his whole body until it felt like every ounce of blood in his veins was boiling.
It was his friends all along. All of them. They threw him and his mom under the bus and then they lied about it.
All the fear, all the worry. His inability to sleep or keep food down, the fact that his hair was falling out.
It was all because of them.
For the first time in weeks Jim wasn’t scared, he was pissed as hell.
“I can’t believe you guys!”
They all jerked back, eyes wide, shocked at the volume of his outburst.
“All of you knew about this,” Jim felt nails stabbing into his palms from the force he was clenching his hands “And you lied to me about it for over a month!? How could you!?”
He was spitefully glad to see them all flinch and look deeply ashamed at that.
“Look Jim,” Toby started to speak “I know you must be angry, but--”
He shriveled into silence under the glare Jim gave him.
How dare he. How dare he try and pretend like any of this was ok. The girls he could sort of see, but Toby was practically family. His mom had done more for Toby than anyone else would have in the same situation.
And Toby had still sold them out, with Claire, Darci, and Mary giving a helping hand.
Jim slowly turned to glare at each of them, the heat rushing over him blazing even hotter as he saw their pained faces and slumped shoulders.
Had they had secret meetings talking about this without him, had they laughed, snickering about being able to keep him fooled for so long.
Somehow a cold dribble of guilt managed to seep in past the white hot fire in his belly.
Even as blindingly furious as he was, for both himself and his mom, deep down Jim knew that wasn’t true. The reason they made the call was because they felt they had no choice.
They hadn’t done this as a joke, they were worried, they’d done this because they were scared for him. They’d done this because they wanted to help.
But despite knowing that, despite knowing that he was taking this too far and was going to regret everything he was saying as soon as he cooled off, Jim was too angry to care.
“I told you guys. My mom. Doesn’t. Hurt me.” he got louder and louder with every word, until he was practically shouting, the raging inferno inside him demanding to be set free “Don’t you get it? She could get arrested because of this, I could get taken away. Did you even think about that at all!?”
Toby shot up out of his seat with a bang, cutting off Jim’s tirade. Glancing up at him out of sheer reflex, he saw that Toby had the edge of the table in a whiteknuclekd grip, every muscle in his body taut and trembling, eyes sharp as knives.
“No Jim. You don’t get to do that.” his voice was cold and harder than steel, harder than anything he’d ever heard coming out of Toby’s mouth “You don’t get to drop bombs like your mom locking you in the basement and expect us to pretend like everything’s ok. And you don’t get to act like we’re the bad guys for trying to help you,”
Jim found himself taking an involuntary step back. He’d never heard Toby this angry. Ever.
Prying his hands free, Toby stomped around the table towards him, Jim pinned in place under his molten gaze “You don’t get to talk about lying when you were the one who’s been lying all along. When you’ve been lying to me for years!”
“Tobes I--”
One look from Toby shut him up.
“But now you want to play honesty hour? Fine, we’ll play honesty hour. How did you really get those scars on your ankle?”
The bottom fell out of Jim’s stomach, taking every remaining drop of anger with it.
“.........what?”
“Well?” Toby stopped two feet away, green eyes boring holes into him “Go on, tell me, where did those scars come from?”
Jim couldn’t do anything but gape at him. The rehearsed answer, they came from a fox bite, sat in the back of his throat withering.
He couldn’t know. It was impossible. Only two people in the world knew the truth. The act done in the dim of the early dawn in the middle of a remote forest.
Don’t worry sweetie, it's a sterile blade. A few quick cuts and a bandage on top should get you all the shots you need, no questions asked.
There was no way for Toby to know, but the look in his eyes told Jim that he did.
“How-- how--” he struggled to get the words out “How do you--”
Darci gingerly slid out of her seat to come stand next to Toby “Ok let’s all just take a deep breath and relax for a second,” she glanced over, her expression cool and professional, no longer holding any trace of guilt “Jim, I’m sorry we lied about what we did but I’m not sorry for doing it,”
“Darci’s right,” Mary stood and approached, Claire at her side “And we all agreed, what’s going on with your mom….that’s not ok, and we couldn’t just stand by and do nothing. I know your mom was probably really messed up when your dad walked out, but that doesn’t mean--”
The words hit him like a fist to the gut “How do you know about that!?”
Mary shut her mouth, cheeks pink.
By now everyone in the cafeteria was turning and looking at them. And who could blame them with all the yelling. Jim knew that this was exactly the type of scene he needed to avoid, but all the emotions boiling up in his chest were too enormous and tangled and turbulent for him to make space to care about their audience.
Claire took half a step forward “Look Jim, I’m sorry we lied to you about reporting your mom, that was messed up and we shouldn’t have done it, but...” she inhaled, drawing herself up to full, regal height “But we wouldn’t have had to report her behind your back if you had just let us help you in the first place,”
“Yeah, you don’t get to talk to us about lying,” he spun back towards Mary. Hands on her hips, eyes narrowed into diamond hard points “If you had been honest with us from the beginning we wouldn’t have had to lie about anything,”
Toby stepped to the front of the group, arms folded in front of him “To more tricks or lies. We need the truth Jim. The whole truth, about everything. The scars, the basement, your curfew,” his expression was granite, voice flint “Right here, right now.”
Jim staggered back, furiously glancing at each of their faces. Claire and Darci were stern and unmoving as statues, while Toby and Mary were full on glaring daggers into him.
How was this possible? How did they know all this?
He couldn’t get enough air, chest tight as he shrunk under the weight of the four sets of eyes on him.
What else did they know? If they knew about the scars and his dad and the basement, what else did they know? And how close were they to learning….the rest?
The one tiny, microscopic flicker of hope Jim had was that he knew that they still didn’t know about….his real secret.
If they did they sure as hell wouldn’t be quiet about it.
But how close were they to figuring it out? They’d figured so much out already, it was probably only a matter of time.
And if this was how they responded to everything else, how would they react to learning that Jim was really a--
Icy daggers twisted in his gut.
He couldn’t do this anymore.
He needed out now.
Jim turned and bolted, running out of the cafeteria as fast as his legs could carry him. Barely aware of his friends’ shouts from behind him. But he couldn’t outrun the panicked screaming in his skull.
They knew about his mom locking him up, they knew about how his dad left, they knew how he really got the scars on his ankle. Sooner or later they would figure out that Jim was the monster all along and when they did--
Throughout the years ideas of what would happen if people learned about his transformation had always flickered at the edge of his thoughts. Jim had done his best to force them out of his head and keep them from taking full shape, but now every horrible, twisted thought he’d had over the years surged to the front of his mind and refused to be buried.
If anyone learned his secret it was only a matter of time until the government found out, and when they did they wouldn’t just let him run free. Jim’s blue form was an unknown; wild, dangerous. At the very least they’d lock him in a cell and throw away the key. Or maybe they would send him off to some secret lab to get dissected and analyzed piece by piece.
His breath became choppy and ragged as he raced down the hall.
Or maybe Jim was too dangerous to leave alive at all, maybe they’d drag him away for a long drive into the desert that ended with a bullet to the back of his skull.
And his mom--
A jagged lump spouted in his throat.
Would they lock her up to? For keeping his secret as long as she did. But she hadn’t broken any laws, maybe they’d just leave her alone? But then would they even tell her what they did with him? Or would she be left sitting alone in their house not knowing what happened to him while Jim sat in a prison cell, or got chopped to pieces in a lab, or rotted in an unmarked grave.
He could barely see the lockers rushing by him as heat built up behind his eyes. He was trembling all over now, blood rushing in his ears and scream building in the back of his throat.
Keep it together. Keep it together. Keep it together.
Jim was going to break down, he knew that. But he couldn’t let it happen in the middle of school. Not now, not again. Had to get out, go home, get somewhere safe.
Right now his secret was still under wraps, and the only way for Jim to keep those horrific ideas from becoming reality was to keep it that way.
And that meant not having another public meltdown.
Ignoring the sound of the bell, signalling other kids to start streaming into the hall, Jim scrambled up to his locker and started fumbling with the lock.
Despite his badly trembling hands he managed to get the locker open and pull his bag free, but in his haste to grab it the bag started slipping from his grip. Jim just barely caught the side in time to keep it from falling, but in doing so accidentally pulled the bag open, causing everything inside to spill out.
Jim could only watch in horror as textbooks clunked to the ground, papers scattering all over the floor, pens and pencils rolling in every direction. Insides curdling as he stared at the mess.
Why now? Why today of all days? On top of everything else--
His eyes stung.
Why couldn’t he just get a break?
Trying and failing to force himself through his breathing exercises, Jim got down on his knees and struggled to gather the contents of his bag.
Somehow his efforts to gather the papers just spread them even more, the task made impossible by how badly he was shaking all over, breath coming in quick, quivering pants, teeth digging into his lip until he tasted copper, a storm roiling just beneath his skin.
He squeezed his eyes shut, grabbing a textbook and clenching his fingers around it so tight they hurt.
Get it together. Get it together. Get it together.
“Oh my god are you crying again?”
Jim froze, inside and out, eyes shooting open to stare down at two of his pencils and the textbook he’d just grabbed off the floor. Familiar snide, smarmy voice coming from behind him.
“Dude he totally is!” Seamus said with a laugh “This is too good,”
Jim couldn’t move, nerves paralyzed. Every drop of emotion he’d had to deal with today, shock, anger, fear, and guilt, surging through him.
“Awww what’s the matter baby?” Steve jeered “Do you want a bottle?”
Seamus and Logan’s laughter echoed in his ears. From the corner of his eye he saw the traffic around them slowing as other people stopped and stared. He couldn’t feel his fingers any more, curled into rigid claws around the edges of the book.
And just like that Jim was done.
He threw his textbook against the lockers as hard as he could, unleashing a thunderous boom into the hall.
“Fuck off Steve!”
Steve, along with Logan, Seamus, and everyone else milling around in the hallway behind him, froze “What did you just say Lake?”
“You heard me Steve,” Jim growled, stomping to his feet “Fuck. Off.”
Normally he would never lose his cool with Steve, the guy just wasn’t worth it, but after everything that had happened today, everything that had happened over the last month, he just couldn’t take it any more.
And Steve thought he was such a hot shot; popular, spot on the basketball team, grades good enough to keep it but not so good to be considered a nerd. But Jim knew a lot more than Steve thought he did.
Recovering from his surprise at Jim’s outburst, Steve gave him his best sneer “Alright Crybaby you got about ten seconds to get down on your knees and apologize before I break your--”
“Oh can it Steve, like you have any business calling me crybaby when you were the one bawling in the locker room about how your daddy couldn’t come watch your big game!” Jim practically spat the words.
The smug look on Steve’s face vanished, eyes going wide and the color leeching from his skin “Wha-- how-- how did--”
“Since you can’t seem to figure it out I’ll spell it out for you, your dad doesn’t give a shit about you or your basketball games! And if you really want to make him happy go play in traffic so he doesn’t have to pay child support!”
A hush went through the crowded hall. Semus’s eyes were bugging out and Logan looked absolutely petrified; Steve himself was wearing the most hang-jawed expression Jim had ever seen.
More and more people were gathering around now, drawn by all the commotion. Jim knew it was bad to be drawing this kind of attention, especially after the stunt he just pulled on the cafeteria, but the dam inside him had burst and it felt so so good to finally let it all out.
Let someone else have the rug pulled out from under them. Let someone else feel exposed and vulnerable. Let someone else have their deepest darkest secrets thrown back in their face.
Let someone else be afraid for once. Someone who actually deserved it.
“Face it Steve you’re not special,” Jim’s voice practically dripped venom “You’re just some moron who thinks that if they dribble a basketball good enough they can get an even bigger moron to give two shits about them. It’d actually be funny if it wasn’t so pathetic,”
Even as he said the words, felt the thrill of finally being able to take Steve down a peg, a tiny trickle of guilt managed to creep in. For saying something so horrible, so wrong. That no one deserved to hear, not even Steve. But what little guilt he had was easily drowned out by the massive ocean of vindictive glee he felt now that Psycho Steve was getting to experience a tiny piece of what it was like to be Jim Lake.
The crowd around them was deathly quiet now, everyone stunned into silence by Jim’s words. Shocked that he actually went there. With one exception.
Steve’s face had gone from ghost white to purple, the veins in his neck bulging, hands balled into fists as his sides “You’d better shut your mouth Lake,” his voice was soft but dangerous. Everyone, even Logan and Seamus, nervously edging away from him.
Unfortunately for him Jim just didn’t care anymore.
“Or what?”
He stepped forward, unable to resist poking the bear “You gonna punch me in the face or something? Well go on, do it! You’re only mad because I’m right!”
Another rush of spiteful satisfaction coursed through him when Jim saw the purple flush on Steve’s face darken even further at his words, so much that he didn’t even care that some of the onlookers had started to pull out their phones.
“Well what are you waiting for? Hit me, punch me, it’s not gonna make a difference. It’s not going to change the fact that you’re a loser who’s life has fucking peaked!” he jabbed a finger into Steve’s chest, getting right up into his face “That the only thing you have going for you is a spot on the basketball team. And after that all you have to look forward to is a dead end job at the gas station and at least two divorces!”
Steve was practically quivering with anger now, nostrils flaring, teeth clenched so hard he was surprised they hadn’t cracked, but Jim could still see the flash of genuine hurt in his eyes “I’m warning you Lake--”
“Because that’s all you’ll ever be, a loser! Maybe the real reason your dad left was because he finally figured out how much of a loser you really--”
The blow took him by surprise, more than it probably should have. A dazzling flash of pain in his temple that snapped his head back into the lockers with a deafening bang as more pain flared in the back of his skull. Hot stars danced in his vision, the world around him spinning,.
Jim vaguely registered that he wasn’t on his feet anymore, felt the linoleum under his back, the cool metal behind his shoulders and neck. Dimly heard the panicked shouts coming up from around him, even though he couldn’t make out the words.
Blinking past the throbbing pain in his skull, and the warm trickle of something in his eye, Jim’s sight cleared just long enough for him to see Steve’s face, twisted into a mask of primal rage, and another fist rapidly approaching.

Litha - Bang Chan Smut
Tumblr media
I got the idea last year but I didn't really have time to do anything and I'm beyond lucky that I got to finish it just on time this year. Hope you enjoy~ Chan has his first weekend off in a while and he spends it on a camping trip with you.
Bang Chan Smut , 2.5k words , AO3
It was a lovely, sunny early June afternoon and you and your boyfriend, Chris were chilling on your balcony. Your hands were playing with his fluffy black hair as you were enjoying the sunshine. You still couldn’t believe how lucky you were to have been calling him your boyfriend for over a year now.
Earlier, in April, a little after your first anniversary, you shared with him one little thing about yourself that you weren’t entirely sure how to address all that time. You were a witch. Not the fairytale kind. A real-life, moon-loving, herb-growing, tea-drinking, spell-casting, witch. You didn’t know what to expect as an answer but after a few minutes of silence he just exclaimed with a giggle “Well, suddenly the number of candles and house plants make a lot more sense now!”
After that followed a lot of random conversations about your craft and even more 3 a.m. texts like:
“Wait so you can turn people into animals?”
“No babe, but I can jinx them to get their tongues twisted when they talk shit about me.”
but you were beyond happy with how sweet, understanding and curious he was about this all.
“Babygirl?” his voice brought you out of your reminiscing and you looked at him with a smile.
           “Yes, love?” you asked
“You had a really adorable look in your face. Were you daydreaming?”
“Ah- I was just thinking of how lucky I am to have you…” a soft blush blooming on your cheeks as your voice trailed off. He chuckled and leaned up to kiss said blushing cheeks. Before he was able to answer, a yawn escaped him.
“Oh, baby. Are you tired?” you asked, fluffing up his hair.
“Yeah… my insomnia has been getting worse lately…” his voice trailed off as a frown appeared on his face. “Oh!” he sat up excitedly as his eyes gleamed with hope. “Can you… can you help me? Is there like a spell or a potion you can do?”
You pondered for a few moments before answering.
“Well, there are a few things I can do. I already have a bedtime tea blend that I can give you… And you’re going to have to come to pick something up on the weekend.” You smiled at him.
“Why on the weekend?” he asked.
“Full moon on Friday.” You winked cheekily before getting up to prepare him a jar of your bedtime tea. (Lavender, Chamomile, Valerian root, Linden tea)
You wouldn’t get to meet him properly for the next two weeks as they were preparing for the comeback but that didn’t stop you from visiting his studio for a little while that same weekend to drop off the special restful sleep & sweet dreams sachet that you had made for him just that Friday night. (Lavender, Rosemary, Sea salt, Hops flowers, Sugar, Chamomile, Valerian, Amethyst and Rose Quartz)You kissed him sweetly and wished him a good rest before leaving that night.
~
You spent most of Saturday morning as a bit of a road trip, driving to your destination and listening to music in the car and just enjoying each other's company. Late on Saturday afternoon, you arrived at the beach you had found a few weeks ago online. It was even more beautiful than the pictures showed and the weather seemed to be just perfect for your camping trip, although it was still a bit too cool for swimming. After setting up your tent, you took off your shoes and went on a long walk on the beach. You and Chris picked up a few seashells, threw skipping rock and you just had to admit, he was great at that.
You returned to the tent as the sun was setting and just in time for dinner. Before you could even bring the food that you had left in the cooler, back in the car, Chris had already built a little bonfire.
“Funny how you built a fire...” your voice trailed off as you two finished up your food, “You see, today, or better tomorrow is the summer solstice!”
“That's another witch holiday, right?” he beamed
“Exactly!" you smiled back at him. “Remember last year on the picnic we had on the 1st of May how I told you about Beltane?” He nodded and grinned, remembering very well what that story had sparked.
“While in Beltane the God and Goddess unite for the first time, in Litha, Midsummer, the God is maturing and the Goddess is pregnant, that’s why most fruits, vegetables and all grains are ripening and growing this season. And it's celebrated with big fires and staying up until sunrise to greet the longest day of the year.” you quickly wrapped up your story since you didn't want to overwhelm him.
Yet little did you know that his mind was racing in a whole different direction. All Chris heard was “pregnant” and his eyes focused with you, glimmering mischievously. Ever since the first of May, when you guys made love in the forest and he filled you up with his cum it’s all that he’s been thinking. He didn’t actually want to get you pregnant, not just yet, but cumming inside you and imagining you soft and round with his baby was doing things to him.
“Speaking of my craft” you tried to change the subject a bit “how's your insomnia been treating you lately baby?”
“I had almost forgotten about that” he turned to you with a massive smile “I really can't thank you enough babygirl. The tea on its’ own had been doing a great job calming me down before bed but after you brought me the little bag? I've been sleeping like a baby! I don't know if it's because it works or it's because I look at it and think of you... And feel warm and safe...” he held your hand lovingly rubbing circles on your palm. But it does a great job! Please just... Tell me anything you want, I want to thank you.”
“Well I am a witch!” you jokingly answered, “You could give me your firstborn!” You laughed at your own joke until you turned to him to see a smirk on his face.
“Oh perfect! Let’s get baby-making!” he pounced at you, pushing you in the tent, suddenly very happy with himself that he had remembered to pack a groundsheet with him. You pulled him on the floor with you, him peppering your face with small kisses as you giggled. He leaned over you, supporting himself on his hands as he gazed upon you, his eyes sparkling with love and mischief under the soft lighting of the fire and the stars.
He slowly dipped down to kiss your lips, ever so softly but you pulled him closer and deepened the kiss. Over two weeks away from him had you craving for his affection and touch. His lips were so soft and sweet you simply had to bite them.
“Eager girl…” he teased as he pecked your lips again.
“I just missed you… a lot” you answered quietly, your fingers tangling to his hair.
“I can’t complain, babygirl. I really missed you too.” He kissed you again, hearing a small sigh of content leave you. His warm fingers were soon on your waist, toying with the hem of your shirt as his lips lowered to your neck.
Your shirt and bra came off first and he could already see your nipples react to the cool summer breeze. He cupped one of your breasts while teasing the other’s nipple with his tongue, not missing your reaction. Your breath hitched as his warm tongue met the sensitive skin and a fluttery moan left your lips.
Chris’ shirt followed before he leaned back down to keep on scattering kisses and small bites along your neck and exposed chest. His hands were now resting on your hips, massaging and squeezing the soft skin under the thin linen pants you were wearing. You couldn’t help but squirm in response. You were almost surprised by how hungry he was for you. Even his kisses were seemed hotter than usual, as he was lovingly leaving hickeys on your neck. It wasn’t long before you felt his finger fumbling with your zipper.
You helped him take them off, wriggling out of the tight jeans with a chuckle. He kissed every single patch of skin he could reach while removing them, along with your panties. You instinctively spread her legs a little and he pushed them further apart. His hands rested on your thighs as he looked at you in all your naked glory.
“Which one of the Gods am I supposed to thank for sending the most marvelous girl to me?” he mattered between scattering kisses on your inner thigh.
“Hmm… Eros I suppose. Or maybe Aphrodite.” You answered with a warm smile and an even warmer blush, as your fingers weaved through his hair.
Chris' hot breath was getting closer and closer to your core. When his lips touched you where you needed him most, you let out a little moan. He took his time eating you out, humming as your thighs clenched and relaxed according to his Ministrations. Your hips were moving on their own account, following the movements of his tongue on your pussy, desperate mewls spilling from your mouth, but he was having none of that.
With his arms wrapping around your thighs and his hands now resting on your abdomen, he pinned you down, hearing your little whines of protest. He locked eyes with you and you could barely keep your eyes open as his pillowy lips sucked on your clit. Your back arched off the floor and your moans only urged him to continue. Switching between licking your folds with his skillful tongue and sucking he was making a squirming mess out of you. He could feel you clenching as your release approached so he focused on your clit even though his jaw was starting to ache but his efforts paid off as he saw you orgasm from just his tongue. After kissing your hipbones, whispering words of praise, he came up to your lips for a kiss. Taking advantage of his relaxed state, you flipped the two of you around.
“My turn.” You smirked cheekily. You kneeled in between his legs, pulling down his pants along with his briefs as he was steadying himself on his elbows. You were a bit impatient, silly as it seemed, but you wanted to make him feel good too. His painfully hard erection was resting on his stomach and it made your mouth almost water. There was precum already leaking from the tip and you wasted no time, licking it off.
He hissed as you licked up from the base to the tip, feeling his veins on your tongue. You slipped the tip in your mouth and sucked on it before you slowly started taking in the rest of his cock. Your hands were pumping what you couldn’t fit in your mouth, trying to match the pace. Chris groaned when he hit the back of your throat, his hands grabbing at the floor of the tent. Your head bobbed as you tried to take more of him, tears prickling your eyes in the process.
“Fuck! That feels good babygirl.” He moaned as you finally took all of him in your mouth. “But” he continued as he stroked your cheek “I want to fuck you so much, baby. I want to cum inside you. I did say we’d make a baby.”
His dick twitched as you let him off of your mouth with a pop. You crawled on to his lap, his hands grabbing on your hips as his tip rested against your wet folds. You adjusted your position and slowly took him in, as you felt his grip tighten. Soft gasps could be heard as he sank deeper inside you, stretching you out. Chris marveled at the sight of you above him, your flushed cheeks, swollen lips and messy hair were beyond beautiful to him.
He couldn’t keep himself from staying still, even though he wanted to admire you a little more. He started thrusting up, meeting your unsteady pace, his hands trailing up towards your chest. You moaned as he met you with a particularly hard thrust, your legs shaking as you were starting to get tired.
He didn’t need you to say it twice and took no time in flipping you over. Your legs, instinctively wrapped around his waist, keeping him close to you. You left a moan as he could reach deeper in this position. His groans responded to you, as he felt you clenching around him. Your hands reached to his neck, pulling him down for a rough passionate kiss.
The smile on his lips was prominent even through your kiss and he set up a slow, sensual pace wanting nothing more than to make this last longer. Deep, slow thrusts, drawing long, breathless moans from you. Praises and I-love-yous were whispered in your ears as he kept a steady pace. You were overpowered by how he was sweetly making love to you, rocking the tent with his powerful thrusts.
With the knot in your abdomen started to grow tighter you begged him to go faster and he complied. His pace grew faster as he leaned closer to you, hitting just the right spot to make you see stars. He could feel your blunt nails scratching his back as he lost himself, pistoning faster and faster. Groans spilled from his mouth as he noticed you tightening around him, your orgasm approaching. You were but a pleading mess, so close, looking so beautiful just for him, moaning his name as you squirmed with pleasure. Knowing he couldn’t hold any longer either, he fucked you even harder. With the first few thrusts, your back arched off the floor of the tent, your moans filling the little space as you writhed in his arms. He let you ride out your orgasm as he chased his own, releasing his hot seed deep inside of you.
“That was amazing!” he said as he laid down next to you, left out of breath. You curled into his arms for a cuddle with a soft hum of agreement. Pressing your lips together into a kiss, he wrapped his arms around you as he played with your hair.
“You realize that this was only round one, right?” you stated with a smirk after a few minutes of cuddling, causing him to chuckle.
“Of course not, I haven’t given your my firstborn yet!” he answered through his laugh as he peppered your face with tiny kisses.
And that’s how your night went. Soft warm cuddles, turning to slow and sensual lovemaking and back to cuddling again until the sunrise, leaving both of you pleasantly tired and sated.
“Did you really mean that Chris?” you asked him with half-closed eyes while basking in the soft pink light of dawn that was peeking through the tent's entrance. “The baby-making thing...?”
“Well... Perhaps not just yet but I can surely picture myself starting a family with you in the future. I love you so much.” He stated before nuzzling into your neck as the sun shined his first rays upon your skin.

Datr Week 2020 Day One: Missing You
(Totally forgot yo upload this last year. I think I was unhappy with it, but I can’t remember why. Anyway, please enjoy)!
"So how'd you know to do that thing to Chunk earlier?" His young voice squeaked, echoing into the dark, shapeless abyss.
"Any enemy can be felled with the right jab. It's just a matter of knowing where to hit. Most are susceptible to major and vulnerable organs like the kidneys or liver. I am particularly fond of throat punches. They're ideal for stunning an opponent while leaving them alive for questioning." Replied a feminine and distinctly accented voice.
A frown tugged at the corner of his lips, yet all it did was morph a frown briefly into a pout and back.
He felt his brow furrow, as the world suddenly came into view. It was like turning on your phone in the middle of the night. Blinding and full of color at its sudden appearance, but it didn't strain his eyes as they continued on their walk. A set path expanding in front of them far beyond their view, but materializing in front of them with each new step. One he walked what felt like a million times before. No different than all of the other times he walked it. Just the same old sidewalk with the same old cracks that were on his way from the school to his house.
Certainly nothing looked out of the ordinary, and yet, this walk was entirely different. It would be one thing if it were just the electrified thrum in his veins or the ecstatic beat of his heart from the idea of catching Zim in one of his alien schemes or running home to watch a new episode of Mysterious Mysteries. However, it was neither of those things, and had everything to do with the young lady walking beside him.
There was a tingle in his leg, but he paid it no mind as he chuckled, "I'll keep that in mind the next time those bullies try to stuff me in the trash again." He shook his head at the memory from earlier that day, before he pointed out, "But you still never answered my question." Her steely gaze of rare, purple eyes flicked over to meet his own bespectacled gaze as he elaborated, "I know you're British, but come on, "keep them alive for questioning?" You sound like you're from MI6 or something. I mean, where do you learn techniques like that?"
"Girly Rangers," came her little too clipped reply as she turned her head, giving him her full, narrow eyed attention.
At that, his heart suddenly jumped into throat. He could easily get lost in her eyes. His breath quickened just a tad as a wave of nerves crashed into him. Both the expected good kind, and unexpectedly bad kind, settling sourly in his stomach.
They stared a moment later before he called her bluff, and she quipped, "If I didn't find the idea ludicrous myself I'd have swatted at you." She shook her head as a genuine smile graced her lips, before she looked up to the bare branches of the trees that lined their walk, as she continued, "My mother was in the military. You pick up a thing or two with those you live with."
He felt the pin prickling feeling of a chill run down his spine, starting at his neck, yet his body lacked the telltale twitch as he excitedly murmured, "That's so cool!" At that remark, the corner of her lips twitched into a proud smirk at his unsubtle praise. Realizing she heard him, his face grew hot. He wanted to turn away, crawl into a hole, but the sight of her amused, gentle smile kept his eyes riveted to hers.
"S-so what else did she teach you? Anything useful I could use on my paranormal investigations?"
The anxiety in his gut increased, and a familiar dread set in, waiting patiently for his world to shatter. The kind of dread that makes somebody want to hide under a blanket from the world. Yet he heeded it no mind as his lips parted into a shy yet ecstatic smile.
"Sure, one more tip couldn't hurt," she said, murmuring the last part more to herself. "Well, body language is always telling. When someone is lying their eyes will look up and to the right because they’re tapping into the imaginative part of the brain.”
“Wow, so you’re like a walking, talking lie detector?”
“You can if you train yourself enough,” she said nonchalantly.
“Could you teach me?” He inquired as a fluttery feeling in his gut returned. His arm nervously rubbed the back of his neck as he continued, a little too quickly, “Maybe you come over my house some time and-”
“I beg your pardon?” She inquired quizzically, yet something in her voice had an edge to it. Ice filled his veins at that, and he stammered and scrambled to recover, “I mean or your place is fine. Of course, only if you wanted to, but nobody ever usually wants to. Actually, no place is fine then. Look let’s just pretend this never happened and-”
His heart dropped from his chest only to roar within his ears as he felt a delicate finger lightly touch his lips. He froze. He didn’t dare to breathe let alone talk; meanwhile his eyes fixated upon the dainty appendage touching him. If he didn’t know better, a spark spread from her to him, electrifying him from the inside out. His whole body grew hot, and he felt like his brain would melt from the radiant blush that was surely upon his cheeks.
“Hm, so that’s where you’re off button is,” she mused aloud as she pulled her hand away. Her eyes shined with silent mirth. He gulped and could practically hear himself audibly swallow. Gawd she had to have known what that clever smile did to him! Forget his brain melting, he was going to melt into a puddle at her feet.
Dazed, he saw her lips move, yet didn’t hear a word she said.
“Sorry, I spaced out. What was that?”
“You shouldn’t apologize. It’s a sign of weakness,” she chided. He felt confused and opened his mouth to reply, but before he could, she continued, “I said that’s very kind of you, but unfortunately my parents and I are still adjusting from the move; however, once we’re settled, I’d love to come over.”
He blinked owlishly behind his round glasses. His flushed face cooling down within the time it took to sink in. However, when it did finally sink in, he grinned so hard his face felt like it could split in half.
“That’s great! I can’t wait until then! How long do you think that will take? Maybe a week? Oh I need time to prepare and clean my room-er-not that it’s not clean, I-” He abruptly cut off his ramble as he saw her finger raise once more. He skittered backwards with his trench coat flapping with his rapid movements. The usually heavy yet oddly light feeling backpack nearly threw him off balance, but he managed not to fall.
She snickered. His heart skipped a beat, and a warmth coalesced in his chest, emboldening him.
“How does this Saturday sound,” He asked with all of the courage and grace a socially outcast boy, like himself, could with his first real friend. The first person who made him feel secure and supported since...gawd, he couldn’t remember! He couldn’t think!
By that point they started walking again, and that dread came back tenfold. His untrained eyes followed her right hand as she tucked a dark blue strand of hair behind her ear. A gust of forceless wind slammed into them, and it appeared as though she turned her head to shield it from the winter wind. She was always honest with him up until that point, so he had no reason to doubt her. No reason to notice how the motion drew his attention away from her eyes.
But he knew to look for it now, and all of the other times his mind replayed it over and over again within his head. On this night, as it had so many times before, that dread feeling his gut finally crashed to the forefront as everything went dark, and squealing, victorious laughter surrounded him like a stereo system.
He went to scream, to shout, warn her, anything! Yet nothing came out. In fact, she was gone. He whipped around in an attempt to find her. As he looked behind himself, he went to turn back around, and there she was in all of her green, alien, Irken glory as she rushed at him with pak leg raised. When she was so close he could see the darker, barely discernible, purple of her pupils did he finally gasp and rocket himself into an upright position. Eyes shooting open as he nearly fell out of bed.
His stomach roiled as a brief wave of vertigo hit him from moving too quickly, especially without his glasses. With the grace of a lean yet gangly teen, he leaned on his side towards the edge of the bed. His arm flopped onto the end table beside his bed, and he hung his head between the space that separated the two as he let the wave pass. He also took the time to catch his breath.
Once recovered, he raised his head to blearily look for his glasses in the dark. After a few near misses of lightly brushing against them, Dib finally managed to snag them. As he placed them upon his face, he frowned at the sight of the slight tremble of his hand.
At the reminder of his memory, that nightmare, Dib growled at himself as he flopped onto his back. He yelped and flinched as a sharp pain shot up his leg, having hit his ankle off of a bedpost.
The pain quickly went away as swiftly as it came, and Dib huffed and sighed. His forearm falling back to rest upon his forehead. Barely awake and he was already exhausted. Of course, the fact that he had that blasted dream again didn't help at all.
At the thought of the dream again, Dib growled and rolled over onto his side, facing the wall and his open window. He knocked his glasses up towards his forehead as he rubbed his clenched shut eyes with the heel of his palms. If only he could forget and move on. That would make his life so much easier.
And yet...the thought of forgetting Tak or how she made him feel...he could never do it. Just the idea made his heart race into a panic and sent his mind into a whirlwind. His childhood crush aside, Tak was his first friend. A real friend, or so he thought.
Pfft, just his luck that his first friend turned out to be an alien who only talked to him for his information on Zim. The thought triggered a dull, painful ache to grow within Dib's chest. One more powerful than the pain of her trying to destroy the earth. With him on it.
Dib shifted his right arm under his pillow to further support his head while he opened his eyes to pensively glare at his drumming fingers.
"Four freaking years and I still can't get you out of my head," he grumbled to one person in particular. Not that she'd ever hear him, being flung into space in her ship's escape pod and all.
The pod. Possibly drifting aimlessly in the vacuum of space. Cold and lifeless as the metal shell encasing Ta-
He shook his head to dispel the direction of his thoughts. However, he didn't do it fast enough as he felt the slight burning tingle of his eyes welling up with tears only for one to slide down his cheek.
He grumbled some more as he wiped it away and gazed up at the midnight blue sky. The busy tizzy of his mind slowed down to a crawl as he closed his eyes and tried to focus on his breathing. In and out. Find his happy place and think happy thoughts, or at least ones different from those that woke him up.
It almost worked too, as the angry tension in his muscles slowly evaporated from his body. His limbs became noodle-like and his facial muscles relaxed. The drumming stopped, and his mind drifted into a hazy fog of nothingness. He liked the nature of the nothingness. By definition, there was nothing there. Nothing that could potentially hurt him physically or mentally.
In and out. He pondered the nothingness, and how something so endless in area and possibilities could give him a sense of security, like being wrapped within a warm blanket.
Then, Dib's mind drifted to the thought of security, as it always did. The lack of it, how he could hold onto it, how he could find it within himself or others, and then finally when was the last time he felt it.
"Ya know they're wrong, right?" Tak's voice echoed from a memory that felt like decades ago.
His younger self jumped at that, looking over at her from where she sat beside him in the library. She'd broken him out of a very important task...which was to stare morosely at his unopened book.
"Hm, what was that," He inquired, trying to sound tired to hide the sadness in his tone.
Her purple eyes narrowed at him suspiciously. As per usual her penetrating gaze felt like she could see right inside him, reading him like an open book. However, she chose to ignore it in favor of the topic at hand.
"I said, ya know they're wrong, right? About you?"
His eyes widened in surprise at that.
"O-oh?" He paused a moment, before his brow furrowed and he inquired further, "About what exactly?" It wasn't like he didn't believe Tak. Dib had no reason to doubt her, but years had cautioned him to not get his hopes up.
He watched her frown a moment as she paused. The question caught her off guard as she clearly thought it would be a one and done statement. However, ever the perfectionist, she persisted to speak her opinion of him.
Glaring at the pencil she twisted between her fingers, she elaborated, "Well, a lot of things. The most prominent, though, is that you're not crazy for being different, for believing in the paranormal."
He sat up straighter at that as he continued to stare in astonishment, watching her wearily for any sign of a lie. He found none, but still felt the need to ask, "Really, you mean that?"
"Of course! There's nothing wrong with being different. It-" She trailed off at that. He ignored the part of his brain that thought her brow furrowed pensively was cute. This was a serious, heartfelt situation, and it wasn't the time to make googly eyes at someone who probably didn't like him that way.
He opened his mouth to offer a word, in order to help her along, but she continued before he could.
"It doesn't make you wrong. You- you're not- you're not defective." At the word "defective," it came out of Tak's mouth with as much disdain as one would use when talking about the city's cesspool, and her gaze immediately snapped up to look him in the eye.
A part of Dib felt like she wasn't just talking to him at that moment, especially as shortly after she said it, she unconsciously snapped the pencil in half. It made him wonder who hurt her or called her that in the past, what was their address, and could he beat them up. Well, maybe die trying, but preferably not.
The other part of Dib felt like she meant every single word. Even after everything that would happen later, he still felt she meant it. The way her determined stare carved into his very soul, refusing to look away until he agreed with her. How those amethyst orbs tenaciously glared and willed him to take to heart her words of wisdom, but most importantly; the earnest, raw edge of emotion that slipped into her voice.
No matter how brilliant of an actor she was, she couldn't fake that.
The full meaning of her words combined with her body language finally sank in and a blissful warmth settled in his chest. It quickly spread to every neuron and nerve until it felt like pure happiness, contentment, and safety was going to erupt from his mouth in the form of the widest grin he'd ever make.
However, he had enough sense to not grin at her like a fool or madman. His entire body thrummed with energy and oddly a sense of calm.
For once in his life he felt relaxed, safe, peaceful even. Relaxed to just let things play out, and to have faith in her as his friend, as he did for her. He could say or do anything, and she'd have his back, always giving her 110 percent. It felt...blissful.
However, that bliss couldn't last, just like the nothingness as the memory faded in exchange with his conscious state. Before it fully faded, he remembered he got her to laugh
Not a laugh at someone's misfortune, like Zim, or being victorious against those bullies, like Chunk, but a genuine, gentle laugh with a small smile to match.
The memory faded, and he opened his tear filled eyes once more. As they dripped onto his pillow, he curled in on himself. His heart was as erratic as his breathing. Trying not to sob aloud kind of does that to you.
Gawd how he missed that feeling of security, of being supported, of someone having his back, and boy did he miss the one who made him feel that way.
Ironic how an alien could act more and treat him like a human than the real humans. And there's a high chance that all of that was fake. If it wasn't, well, it was four years too late to think about that.
A choked sob escaped his lips as he angrily sighed out the window, "I hate that I miss you."

Star Gazing.
Tumblr media
-
pairing: katsuki bakugou x fem!reader
word count: 2k
rating: mature 🌧
genre: fluff, lil smutty(?)
warnings: kissing, suggestive, indications of sex, sexual touches, for the most part, it’s just fluff 🤧
masterlist!
synopsis: Somehow you managed to drag your boyfriend, Katsuki Bakugou, into coming to stargaze with you. How? Quite simply, he could never say no to you. So when you brought up this very cliche date idea, as much as he wanted to refuse and decline, he couldn’t.
The navy sky above was drizzled in glistening pearly stars, arranged in different patterns and shapes. Every one of those gleaming orbs having their own meanings in the vast universe that was beyond your reach. You felt so meaningless when the sheer size of your surroundings began to sink in. Your surroundings were black, the night's trail engulfing you. The only light present was soft, just barely illuminated the atmosphere. It’s source was the moon, shining gently through the pitch void that absorbed your two bodies. The two bodies that lay comfortably on the grass below. You rested your head on Bakugous chest. Every thump of his heart was audible, the way it calmly chimed in a steady rhythm. It made this whole moment worthwhile.
As much as Bakugou didn’t want to admit it, he was enjoying himself. The way you felt so warm under his grasp, the way you would shudder ever so slightly when he rubbed his warm fingers against your chilled skin, even the thoughtless rambling that flowed out of your dreary mouth. It was all so soothing to him. All his brain could think about was how lucky he was to have someone like you.
He never felt like he could have something so special in his life, never a priority or thought that crossed his mind. But when you showed up, you softened him up in a way he never thought he could. All the touches he never wanted to receive, all the presents, all the sappy dates. Suddenly, he wanted them all. But he didn’t want these things from just anyone. He wanted to share these moments with you and you only.
To say he was in love was an understatement. He loved you way more than words could describe, that’s maybe why he rarely used them. You didn’t mind however, it made his rare vocal affection all the more special in your opinion. He may lack in that aspect, but he damn well knew how to spoil you in his physical gratification.
Bakugou didn’t want to give in and say he enjoyed this moment, he didn’t really want to speak either but this moment just felt so right. It felt so right to give in to his rare desire to vocally praise you as he put his pride aside.
“I love you”
His words streamed out his mouth smoothly like it was second nature to him. It came as a surprise at how normal his words sounded, especially when he used them so infrequently. As dramatic as it was, he didn’t just throw that phrase around. That’s what made stuff like this so meaningful.
You felt your face slowly warm-up until you knew for sure it had a red glint to it. A sudden swarm of butterflies paraded in your stomach and a smile grew across your face. Like a child who just received a sweet, you felt an overwhelming amount of joy flood your system, so much so you could just barely speak. Stumbling for words, you felt them bottle up at the back of your throat.
“you don’t have to say it back, dumbass”
A low raspy laugh escaped his lips, only adding to your embarrassed state. He really made you a mess with just three simple words, but that’s the dominance he held over you, and he loved every god damn second of it. He knew exactly how flustered you got as something like that. Especially when he rarely lets you hear his gratitude.
Slowly, he trailed his warm fingertips up your arm, leaving goosebumps to prick up along the attend areas. His touch felt so soft yet it had a teasing aura to it, like he knew what he was doing. And he sure did.
He knew exactly what he was doing actually. From the words that spilled out his mouth to the carefully planned touches. He was no idiot, of course, he would strategically plot this. You might as well call this your karma for giving him no choice into part taking in this silly date.
This was going to be one hell of a night for sure. You couldn’t help but wonder what treat you were in for tonight, what was he plotting?
Though you kept pondering, thoughts looming around your brain as your body melted on top of his, the gentle touches continued. And as they did, they had found there way to your jaw. The warm pads of his fingers crept up your face, it’s sudden warmth shooting a chill to crawl all over your body. His tender fingers lifted your face, an overload of emotion causing your breath to hitch and mouth to go dry.
It was so weird how even after all these years of being together, he made every interaction between you two feel like the first time. His touch never got old and your body always seemed to fall apart whenever he did so much so as to look your way with that love-filled gaze in his eyes. And once again in this very moment, your body was erupting in all sorts of ways as he literally just caressed your face.
“fuck, I wanna kiss you so bad right now”
He admitted as his eyes darkened, glazed with a shadowy glint. At this point, you felt yourself fully weaken at his words and gestures. His touches were too overwhelming and his words were sending you to cloud 9. Just simply looking at him at this moment. The way a shy light brightened his handsome features, accentuating his vermilion gaze. It was all too much to take in all at once.
“nothing’s stopping you”
You somehow managed to choke those words out, though they seemed to coil up at the tip of your tongue, resulting in it coming out as just barely a whisper.
“Wouldn’t want to make a mess out of you, princess”
He knew fully well that you were in fact already a mess, you were speechless, your nerves all over the place, and most of all your body felt hot all over. That cheeky piece of shit.
“oh wait. you already are”
his hot breath trickled down your neck as he came closer to your ear, whispering his teases. Your body tensed as you felt yourself quiver, his comments making you feel so helpless it was starting to get humiliating. In false annoyance, you pouted your plump lips, returning your focus to the night sky above.
That mischievous grin that had itself so comfortable placed on bakugous face, only grew wider as he watched you behave so childishly. He knew you weren’t mad at all, just being your usual childlike self.
Bakugou didn’t just enjoy this sappy date, he fucking loved it. Nothing in this world could have prepared him for this much satisfaction, and his laughter and jokey laid back nature proved it. You’ve never seen him so chill.
A sudden warm yet wet feeling made itself present on the delicate skin of your neck. A kiss. An overabundance of fluttery pecks peppered your neck, resulting in your eyes to widen and fingers to curl into the soft cotton fabric of bakugous shirt. As he showered your neck in his innocent praise, you finally gained just an ounce of the affection you were seeking so hard just a few seconds ago. You felt your body heat up again. Once more you felt the flutters fly throughout your body as you clung onto bakugous frame. It wasn’t just because you were so flustered at his touches anymore, but because it began to deepen.
The friendly pecks soon turned to passionate kisses. As his tongue trailed down from the bottom of your neck to your ear lobe, he nibbled and sucked in all the right spots, resulting in the echoing of a gentle moan coming from you. The way your boyfriend's lips curled up was evident as you felt, his lips brushing against you.
“if you want more, just use that pretty voice of yours and tell me”
He smirked against your skin and by now you were more than just flustering at his actions, you were beyond that. Every movement made you melt and you wanted more. Way more.
“p-please, kats-u”
Your voice trailed off to bliss as you hummed his name. His praises didn’t stop, not even for a second as his warm drenched tongue ran laps across your sensitive skin. He sucked harshly, but not enough to hurt you, yet enough to cause you pure pleasure. Wincing a whining as he left his mark on your neck.
Something about this little innocent date was suddenly taking a... mature turn.
Your slender fingers scrunched into a fist as tender gasps slipped out your mouth, music to bakugous ears. Carefully, he traced his lips along your delicate face, until they hovered over your needy lips, yearning to be kissed and attended.
“you’re so god damn beautiful like this, babygirl”
He spoke in a hushed tone, deep and husky before he finally connected his smooth saturated lips to yours. They felt amazing. The way his lips wrapped around your own, his warmth exciting you to every degree. Swiftly, he tugged at your bottom lip, trailing his damp tongue across it before eagerly slipping it into your own mouth. The heated muscle rubbed and explored every inch, circling your tongue and sloppily slipping in and out of your mouth. Each time when your lips came to meet again, the kiss deepening in a passion.
But it wasn’t just his mouth doing wonders, making your heart race and loudly beat against your chest. His callous hands did equally as much of the work, not hesitating to trail, grip and caress every curve and inch of you. That familiar buzz shooting through your veins, feeling yourself getting more and more hungry for his touch as the thought of all the things you want him to do to you clouded your brain.
His hands crawled down your spine, edging closer to all the more sensitive areas of your body. Breathlessly panting between each kiss you and bakugou shared, you suddenly felt his warm hand squeeze your ass causing a squeal to erupt from you.
“someone’s excited”
He broke the kiss, his mischievous glare taunting you as his iconic smirk appeared once more.
“let’s take this somewhere else but i wouldn’t mind fucking you under the stars either, baby”
The seductive tone that was laced in his voice made you weak at the knees. Maybe his idea didn’t sound so bad.
“Please do, katsuki”
And with that, he resumed his touches, hands wondering to your weakest spots.
This was going to be one hell of a night...

Lukadrien: Your Hands Hold Home: Chapter Twenty-Seven
@lukadrien-june
Read it on AO3: Your Hands Hold Home: Chapter Twenty-Seven: Goodbye
“G Flat. Sup?” XY greeted, leaning on the frame of the door to his flat.
“Hey, Xavier-Yves. Sorry for coming over so early,” Adrien apologized guiltily, gaze downcast as he scuffed at the marble tile of the apartment building hallway.
XY shrugged. “It’s whatever. Something wrong? You look all…floppy.”
Adrien winced, meeting Xavier-Yves’s eyes with a grimace. “I’m kind of rough lately, actually…but I came because I need to talk to you about something. May I come in?”
With another carefree shrug, XY straightened up and stepped back out of the way. “Yeah. Sure. Come on in and make yourself at home. You want some soda?”
Adrien shook his head as he made his way straight to the couch. “I’m fine, thank you. I shouldn’t be long.”
“Meh. Suit yourself.” XY went to fish a bottle of orange soda out of the fridge as he prompted, “So what did you need to talk about?”
Adrien swallowed, shifting anxiously. “Luka.”
XY paused, looked back over his shoulder at Adrien, and cursed in English. “Is that why you look like they ran out of those nifty little umbrellas they put in your drink?”
Adrien could think of at least a dozen more fitting analogies for his current countenance, but he decided not to squabble over word choice. “Yes.”
He took a slow, measured inhale. “I didn’t mean to eavesdrop the other day, but I accidentally overheard that song you wrote for Luka.”
XY quirked an eyebrow, taking a long pull from his bottle of soda as he came over and sat down in the armchair across the coffee table from Adrien.
Adrien dropped his gaze to the ugly chartreuse area rug as he confessed, “I heard you tell him you loved him, and I saw you guys kissing.”
“Did ya see what happened afterward?” Xavier-Yves hummed.
Adrien shook his head and forced himself to look up.
He searched his rival’s eyes. “…Are you and Luka…dating?”
The word was almost physically painful to get out.
A smirk in miniature turned up one corner of XY’s mouth. “No. What gave you that idea?”
Adrien opened his mouth to reply but then shut it again to more carefully consider his response.
“…It just seemed like the obvious outcome,” he finally answered. “He really likes you, you know? I don’t think he knows how much he likes you, but he does.”
Xavier-Yves nodded, sinking back comfortably into his armchair and spreading his knees wide. “Yeah. I know…but he picked you.”
Adrien’s eyebrows rose to meet his hairline. “…Sorry. What?”
XY lifted his right shoulder and then let it fall. “He picked you.”
“I don’t…I don’t understand,” Adrien replied, heart quickening, chest tightening.
XY rolled his eyes. “Okay. Look. I’m going to do you a favor, G Flat, and tell ya something good. Don’t tell Luka I told you, but he’s in love with you. He’s been crazy about you since you faceplanted on his deck or whatever. Okay? So, he picked you.”
“Luka loves me?” Adrien breathed, gripping the arm of the couch to keep himself upright.
Xavier-Yves let out a loud snort of laughter. “And they say I’m dense. Yes, Adrien. Luka’s over the moon about you.”
Adrien’s jaw nearly skimmed the floor in his astonishment. “Really?”
“Really,” XY sighed, quickly tiring of this little game. “So go out with him already. Make him happy.”
Adrien’s expression suddenly tightened into a tense ball of confusion and suspicion. “Wait. Why in the world would you tell me that? Isn’t it against the bro code or something? Nino would never tell me about Marinette’s crush on me, and he didn’t say anything to his girlfriend about my feelings for Marinette. I don’t think you can just say stuff like that.”
Xavier-Yves looked utterly unimpressed. “Okay, look. If I don’t say anything, you and Luka are never gonna get together because you’re both dumb and like to make yourselves suffer. I don’t really have friends besides Luka, so I’m not so sure about this ‘bro code’ thing, but I think I’m doing you both a favor, telling you Luka’s in love with you.”
“You are,” Adrien agreed, still skeptical. “What I can’t figure out is why you’re doing this.”
With another sigh, XY rolled his eyes in an exaggerated fashion. “Duh. You’re my friends. I love Luka, and I want him to be happy, and you’re what will make him happy. Plus, the sooner you two start dating, the sooner you can screw everything up and get Luka to break up with you. Then, I can swoop in and sweep Luka off his feet. Super romantic.”
Adrien burst out laughing. “Xavier-Yves…you’re really something.”
XY gave a lopsided, pride-filled grin as he shot finger guns at Adrien. “You bet I am.”
Adrien slowly shook his head from one side to the other, a nascent smile taking form on his lips. “Thank you.”
XY made a shooing gesture. “Don’t thank me. Go ask Luka out or something already. My genius plan only works once you either make Luka happy or screw up and get dumped so I can make Luka happy.”
A grateful grin settled on Adrien’s lips as he stood. “Thank you, Xavier-Yves. Seriously.”
“Yeah, yeah.” XY took another swig of his orange soda. “Maybe we can have a threesome sometime or something. You two still have to hang out with me once you’re a couple, you know.”
“We will,” Adrien promised, a spring in his step as he rushed back to Luka.
Luka looked up from where he was preparing chestnut paste crêpes for brunch as Adrien came around the corner into the main cabin.
The nerves didn’t hit Adrien in full force until he saw Luka; then, it was all fluttery sensations in his chest and butterflies in his stomach.
Their eyes met, and Adrien nearly swooned.
“Hey. Everything okay?” Luka tentatively inquired. “You were gone when I woke up.”
Adrien ran a hand through his hair and swallowed before he managed to compose himself enough to answer. “Yeah, no. It’s fine. I’m fine. I just…I needed to get some fresh air?”
Luka nodded, making a neutral sound of acknowledgement. “Did you eat already?”
Sheepishly, Adrien shook his head. “Food was kind of the last thing on my mind this morning.”
Luka beckoned Adrien over with a tip of his head, indicating the crêpe he had just made. “Go ahead and take this one. It’s still hot.”
“I’m not going to take your food, Orpheus,” Adrien scoffed, coming around into the kitchen.
“I have enough batter to make another one. It’ll only take a minute, but you might as well eat this one because it’s going to be cold by the time I finish this second one,” Luka reasoned.
“Or you could eat that one, and I can make one for myself,” Adrien countered, giving Luka’s hip a little bump with his own, encouraging Luka out of the way of the stovetop.
With a chuckle of amusement, Luka stood down, leaning back against the counter as he ate his crêpe and longingly watched Adrien work.
“I’m really good at making crêpes,” Adrien bragged. “It’s one of the first things Tom showed me.”
“I have no doubt about your abilities,” Luka assured, eyes tracking Adrien’s graceful movements.
Before long, a nearly perfect crêpe took form, and Luka had to applaud his crush. “That looks even better than mine. I should have you make me breakfast next time.”
“I’d be happy to cook for you,” Adrien easily agreed, eager to please. “I like it a lot. Mostly, Tom’s been teaching me down in the bakery, but Sabine’s showed me recipes from time to time too, and I’m finding that I like cooking about as well as baking.”
“Well, if you want to take some of my family meal cooking shifts, I’m not going to stop you,” Luka half-joked.
“Maybe I could join you for some of your shifts and we could cook together,” Adrien suggested. He always had a good time in the kitchen with Luka.
“I mean…if you really don’t mind. I don’t want to put extra work on your plate,” Luka responded tentatively.
“I don’t mind,” Adrien stressed. “I like cooking, and I like spending time with you, so…win-win, you know?”
“So long as you think so,” Luka chuckled, a slight blush building on his cheeks.
“I do,” Adrien replied decidedly.
He then bit his lip, his confidence abandoning him. “…Hey. So…would you want to go on a walk with me after we clean up here? Are you busy?”
Luka shook his head. “I didn’t have anything planned for today. Where did you want to go? Anywhere in particular?”
“The Parc Monceau?” Adrien asked uncertainly. “Sorry. I know it’s kind of out of the way.”
“It’s fine,” Luka assured with a calming smile. “The Parc Monceau sounds nice.”
Tumblr media
While not completely free from tourists, the Parc Monceau was definitely more of a spot for locals than some of the better-known parks of Paris.
Luka and Adrien took the motorcycle up to the eighth arrondissement, parking outside of the gates and beginning their stroll around the grounds.
The scent of damp earth from the previous day’s storm still lingered in the air.
“I’ve always wanted to come here on a date,” Adrien remarked as they walked past the semicircular, eighteenth-century colonnade at the northeast end of the pond that had been made to look like Roman ruins.
“Oh, yeah?” Luka hummed, trying to keep his expression and voice neutral.
Adrien nodded as they made their way onto one of the main avenues that ran through the park where many a Parisian was walking their apartment-sized dog.
“I’ve done a couple photoshoots here, and I always thought the atmosphere was romantic,” Adrien explained. “It’s kind of whimsical with all of the miniatures of exotic architecture and the pond and the trees and flowers and everything…don’t you think?”
“Yeah,” Luka agreed. “It’s—”
He abruptly lost his train of thought as Adrien slipped his hand into Luka’s.
Luka stared in bewilderment at Adrien, and Adrien responded with a shy smile.
Still wondering what the hell was going on but not wanting to jinx it, Luka returned the smile and laced his fingers through Adrien’s.
Adrien’s smile grew, gaining confidence as it morphed into an effulgent grin reminiscent of that day in the Jardin du Palais Royal.
It was so good to see Adrien smile like that after two weeks of feigned cheerfulness and cloudy, distant eyes.
“Come on.” Adrien gently tugged Luka over to the footbridge. “I want to show you my favourite spot.”
They ascended the steps and moved over to one side so that others could pass behind them as they gazed out at the man-made pond and the classical columns through the foliage.
“Sorry,” Adrien chuckled, releasing Luka’s hand and placing his own on top of the bridge railing.
“Why ‘sorry’?” Luka wondered, suddenly uneasy.
Adrien turned his head to give an impish grin. “I feel like I tricked you into coming here.”
A small frown creased Luka’s brow. “I seem to remember agreeing to come of my own free will.”
Adrien shook his head. “Under false pretenses. I brought you here because I wanted to talk to you.”
Luka gave a snort. “Because it’s not like I would ever consent to that knowingly.”
Adrien pursed his lips.
Luka’s levity instantly faded. “Hey. What’s wrong?”
Adrien shook his head, training his gaze down into the murky water.
“…Is this about what happened yesterday?” Luka hazarded a guess.
“Kind of.”
Luka winced. “Adrien, I’m sorry. I didn’t—”
“—May I tell you something?” Adrien cut in, needing to get it over with.
“Uh…sure.” Luka couldn’t help but feel off-kilter as he struggled to follow what was happening.
“And could you maybe let me talk without responding until I’m done, please?” Adrien requested through a grimace. “I’m sorry. I just…I need to get this out, and I’m not sure I can do it if you interrupt me, so… Sorry.”
Luka gently rested his hand on Adrien’s shoulder, giving it an encouraging squeeze. “Hey. You can tell me anything, okay? I promise I’ll let you finish.”
Adrien shot Luka a grateful smile before taking a deep breath to steady his nerves. He tightened and loosened his grip on the bridge railing, swallowed, and then began.
“You know how I’ve been acting even crazier than usually these past two weeks?”
Luka frowned reprovingly. “Okay, I’m not going to stand here silently and listen to you talk down about yourself, so—”
“—I saw you kissing Xavier-Yves,” Adrien blurted out, needing to continue before he lost the courage to do so. “and it completely crushed me because I’m in love with you.”
Luka stared, blinked, and finally found his tongue. “You…what?”
“I’m in love with you,” Adrien repeated more slowly as the most vulnerable smile spread over his lips in complete surrender. “I’ve had a crush on you pretty much as long as we’ve known one another, but, recently, I’ve realized that, somewhere along the way, I really, truly fell in love with you. I’m not sure when exactly…but…here we are.”
Adrien shrugged and then awaited Luka’s response.
It took a minute, but Luka finally pieced together the words. “You’re sure?”
Adrien’s head cocked slightly to the side. “What do you mean?”
“Sorry.” Luka shook his head, mentally kicking himself. “I just mean… Not that I don’t believe you, but…”
He took a slow inhale and tried again. “Adrien, I don’t need to tell you that you’ve been through a lot this past month, and I know I’ve kind of been there supporting you through this. A lot of times, in that kind of situation, people can start thinking they have feelings for the person taking care of them, and I don’t—”
“—Luka.” Adrien reached out to cup Luka’s cheek. “My feelings for you aren’t new. You triggered my sexuality crisis, after all.”
Heat burned in Luka’s cheeks, and he gulped. “O-Oh?”
Adrien nodded, his smile returning. “Yeah. I’ve always known I had a crush on you. It’s just that I recently realized that my feelings weren’t just a crush. I don’t think they have been for a while, so you don’t have anything to worry about. I’m not going to improve mentally or emotionally and suddenly realize my feelings for you were fake or anything like that.”
“Oh,” Luka repeated quietly, gaze getting caught on Adrien’s eyes and the way their glittering green was perfectly set off by the trees and the water and the sky.
“So…I love you…Middle C,” Adrien whispered, angling his body to face Luka.
Instinctively, Luka stepped in, his hands going to Adrien’s hips. “I love you too, Perfect Fifth. From the moment I saw your eyes light up when you spotted that keyboard the day we first met.”
“Luka,” Adrien breathed as their eyes slipped closed and their noses gently bumped.
A shred of his higher brain function remained as he cautioned, “I don’t know if I should be doing this. I still need to talk to you about—”
“—Please,” Luka pleaded. “Adrien, please kiss me.”
He did, and it was sweet and slow and perfect, a gentle nibbling of Adrien’s lips against Luka’s.
Luka kept his eyes closed for a moment after Adrien pulled away, and when he opened them, he found Adrien searching his face apprehensively.
Luka blinked. “Everything okay?”
“Perfect,” Adrien sighed. “Only, now, I’m going to ruin everything.”
“I promise you that there’s nothing you could do to ruin that kiss,” Luka scoffed lightly.
Adrien winced. “What if I tell you we can’t kiss again for a long time?”
“Well, that wouldn’t ruin everything,” Luka assured. “But can I ask why?”
Adrien pulled back, looking out at the pond and the columns again as he explained, “I don’t want to keep you in limbo. I need to be completely honest with you: I can’t date right now.”
Luka stepped in closer so that his shoulder brushed Adrien’s.
Adrien tentatively peeked up at Luka. “I’m sorry. You know about as well as I do that I’m not in good shape at the moment with everything going on. It wouldn’t be fair to either of us to try to start anything right now.”
Luka gradually began to nod. “I think that’s a really mature decision. I don’t necessarily like it, but I’m really proud of you for being able to come to that kind of conclusion.”
Adrien sighed, a melancholy smile hovering on his lips. “I’m serious about you, you know. I don’t want to mess this up, so…I think I need to wait until I’m healthier. I don’t want things to always be the way they’ve been the past month.”
He met Luka’s eyes as he elaborated, “I can’t express how much I appreciate everything you’ve done for me, but healthy relationships are partnerships. I need to be able to pull my own weight.”
Luka opened his mouth to respond, but Adrien shook his head, insisting, “I can’t always be needing you to help and comfort me. That’s not right, and it’s not fair to you.”
Luka’s eyes widened.
“You deserve a partner who can be there to support you too,” Adrien stressed. “I think I could be that person someday, but right now…”
He shook his head sadly.
“I can wait however long you think is necessary,” Luka assured.
Adrien shook his head again. “I’m not asking you to. If you want…I mean…Xavier-Yves is actually a great guy, and you like him, Luka. You shouldn’t have to wait around while I get my stuff together.”
Luka rolled his eyes. “Okay, yes. I will admit that Xavier-Yves is an attractive prospect, but…Adrien…my heart chose you.”
Adrien’s mouth fell open in surprise.
Luka leaned in and pressed a kiss to Adrien’s temple. “I’ll wait for you.”
Still taken aback, Adrien stammered, “I’ll do my best to be worthy of you.”
Luka pulled Adrien into a side hug. “You already are, P5.”

Never So Sweet A Dream As Laughter
Summary: Ronan keeps dreaming of feathers and he can only hide the reason for so long before Adam discovers why.
Ronan had been dreaming of feathers lately.
At first it was only one, barely noticed except that it was pure white, a color so opposite Chainsaw that it couldn’t possibly have come from her. Days went by, however, and the amount grew so that sometimes he woke up surrounded in a blanket of them, brushing them off irritably.
He always cleaned them up before anyone could notice.
As far as he could tell there was nothing special about these feathers, nothing significant about them that made them stand out as a dream thing. They were simply feathers, all different kinds after that first one, some stiff and velvety and other soft with frayed edges. Some had dots on them, freckled with color, and some were bright and exotic.
The only special quality they held was that Ronan couldn’t look at them without blushing.
He knew why they were there and that was the reason why he could never let anyone see them. He had been dreaming also, lately, of Adam. This wasn’t unusual in and of itself, only the manner in which he did. Adam, lying on his back, bare-chested, curls crushed against grass or a mattress or whatever else their setting was that dream. His head was thrown back in laughter, sweet, melodious laughter, caused by the simple touch of a feather drawn softly across his skin by none other than Ronan himself.
Fuck.
It was getting more and more difficult to be around Adam now, as the only thing he could think about when he saw him was the sight of his naked body writhing and laughing under Ronan’s soft touch. Adam joked and teased and kissed him like normal, unaware of this strange secret desire that Ronan harbored. Sometimes he spent the night. It was harder to explain the feathers then.
“Dreaming about pillows,” he explained when Adam woke up surrounded by feathers as well, one eyebrow raised at the mess. “Big ones. Big enough to suffocate you with. Haven’t quite got it down yet but I’m working on it.”
“Ha,” Adam said, a single consonant by itself that said Ronan was full of shit but he wasn’t going to pursue the issue if Ronan didn’t want to talk about it. So they didn’t. They cleaned up the feathers and stuffed them in the trash, and Adam joked that they really could make a pillow if they wanted. Ronan kissed him because he had learned recently that kissing was a very effective way to shut Adam up.
The dreams, however, their desire unfulfilled, began to grow more ambitious in their designs. One day he woke up with handcuffs. Handcuffs and feathers. He hadn’t known a way to explain it so he only shrugged when Adam asked him, throwing the handcuffs in the trash as well. Adam didn’t ask him again, but now his eyes remained on him, a piercing gaze that Ronan found himself unable to hold in return. They cleaned up the mess again and went about their day, refusing to acknowledge the reality of the situation.
Eventually things grew to be too much and when Adam woke surrounded by feathers for the fifth time that week he turned to Ronan and demanded, “Talk to me.”
Ronan, groggily, sat up and shoved off a pile of feathers. “Fuck off.”
Adam circled his wrist with his fingers, not quite grabbing, a gentle insistent tug so that Ronan finally looked at him. “Hey,” he whispered, not pitying or demanding, just a quiet noise for Ronan to focus on. “Ronan.”
Ronan held his gaze a second longer before diverting it to a wall across from them, able to either look at him or talk but not both, not at the same time. “I’ve been dreaming about tickling you.”
Adam was silent. He was half-tempted to look back, and the desire grew to a needy itch that he forced himself not to scratch. Finally Adam said, “Oh.”
Neither of them moved or spoke. Ronan could feel energy, red-hot like molten iron running through his veins, and he wanted to bolt, to run, to blaze through a whole fucking marathon and never come back. He didn’t.
“I’m not going to,” Ronan assured him, a bit too quickly. “If that’s what you’re worried about.”
He finally looked at him because if he didn’t he was going to explode. Adam was holding a feather between his fingers, staring at it and twirling it ruminatively. He grabbed Ronan’s hand, placing the feather there and closing his fingers around it. “Okay.”
It was like someone had knocked the feet out from under him. He snapped his gaze to Adam, narrowing his eyes. “You don’t have to.”
“I know.”
“I’m not forcing you to.”
“I know.”
“So if you don’t want to—”
“Ronan.”
He was blushing. Adam was blushing and it spread across his face like wildfire, tinging the ends of his ears. The sight made Ronan’s limbs tremble. “I want to. I mean, I want to try.”
Ronan looked down at the feather held in his hands, spinning it gently as Adam had done. “Okay.”
“Okay.” For a moment that was that and they sat in silence, both waiting for the other to make the first move. Then Adam spoke, hesitantly. “Should I…?” He indicated his t-shirt and with a stiff, jerky nod from Ronan he pulled it off, throwing it on the floor away from them. Ronan took a moment to appreciate his body, the stark lines and muscles that made him up, every part of him carved in perfect detail, like that of a statue. But he wasn’t a statue. He was soft and malleable, with bruises and moles and freckles that covered his skin like art. When Adam pulled his arms above his head, the skin stretched and arched with him.
“D-Do we start now or—mm!”
Adam’s sentence was cut off as Ronan drew a feather down the length of his arm, wanting to trace the contours. The feather was stiff and black, like those he often found lying around the house when Chainsaw was molting. He continued going up and down his arm for a while, content with the goosebumps prickling up and down Adam’s body like an invasion.
“Does it tickle?” he asked curiously, as Adam’s lips were pressed together in a tight line, having not spoken since the initial beginning. Now, though, he shakily opened them to reply.
“Not exactly,” he answered honestly, considering the question. “It’s more like… a soft itch, like when a bug crawls on your arm.” He paused. “It’s kind of pleasant, actually, in an unbearable kind of way. It’s hard to stay still, though.”
“Hmm.” Ronan moved the feather down quickly, now circling the outer edge of his armpit. Adam stiffened immediately, his mouth clamping shut as he focused on anything but the increasingly devastating feeling of that feather getting closer and closer to such a sensitive area. The edges of his lips were pulled into a reluctant smile that only grew wider when Ronan finally reached his destination.
“Does this tickle?” Ronan repeated, more sure of the answer this time. Adam gave a stiff, jerky nod, arms trembling. He looked like he wanted to say something, or laugh, or both, but he refused to open his mouth. Ronan found himself needing to hear what Adam’s laugh sounded like, genuine and helpless and carefree, a need that burrowed inside him and prompted him to pick up a second feather, quickly targeting his other side. Both armpits now being relentlessly assaulted by the feathers’ soft touch, Adam whimpered softly before a tiny giggle slipped out, followed by a second one and then a third one. Soon Adam was overcome by melodic giggles that seemed to almost trip out of him with each second that went by.
It was beautiful. It was everything Ronan had dreamed it would be, only better because this time it wasn’t his imagination conjuring up flickering images. This time it was Adam, real and alive with laughter that stumbled and fell in heart-stopping bursts.
Ronan never wanted it to end.
There was only so long that Adam could keep his arms up, however, with Ronan relentlessly tormenting the singular area. With a soft whine Adam drew his arms back down, clutching them across his chest protectively.
Ronan paused, worried he had overstepped a boundary. “Do you want me to stop?”
Adam blushed, shaking his head. “No, it just… it really tickles, okay? I can’t hold still for it. Maybe try somewhere else?”
Ronan nodded and Adam carefully placed his hands back above his head. For a while he merely swirled the feather along his shivering form, circling the soft, vulnerable skin of his stomach and dipping down across the V of his hips. Adam managed to contain his laughter at this, but he expressed its effect in the way his stomach jumped and contracted under the feather’s touch and the shuddering sound of his breath as he inhaled.
As he did so, Ronan considered his splayed out form for a moment, trying to think of a spot the feather would have the greatest effect on, aside from the obvious. He knew for a fact that harder tickles worked on Adam; the two had been friends for years beforehand and there were sparse moments when Gansey would dig his knuckles into his ribs affectionately or Ronan would goose his sides in passing.
It was not harsh, intensive tickling that he desired right then, however. At that moment, he wanted to see strong, prideful Adam fall to such a simple thing as the touch of a feather.
Glancing up at Adam to make sure this was okay, Ronan firmly gripped each of his thighs and pulled them apart. Having worn only a thin t-shirt, lying discarded on the floor, and boxers to bed, the entirety of his speckled, tan thighs was on display for the other boy to admire. Ronan traced a hand wonderingly over them, momentarily distracted from his mission. It was only when he saw Adam squirm beneath his touch that he was reminded once more. He picked up the feather and then, after considering for a moment, grabbed quite a few others as well. He traced the long plumage up his thighs, a thousand fluttery kisses that surprised a squeak from Adam.
“W-Wait!” he stuttered, grinning helplessly. “T-Thahahat’s nohot fahair!”
“You agreed to this,” Ronan reminded him, delighting in his reactions though his face remained stoic. “Remember?”
“B-Buhuhut—” Adam protested, but ultimately he could find no excuse for something he had asked for, and fell back on the bed in a pile of giggles. It was unfair, he held fast to that. It was unfair because there was no possible way Adam could have known he was that ticklish on his thighs or that a feather would tickle him as much as it did. He had hardly ever been touched there, and when he had it was usually by Ronan and usually in far more erotic scenes than their current one.
He would like to say that had he known how sensitive he was, he would have told Ronan no. However, as sparks of feeling scurried through his nervous system to his brain, filling him with a sensation not too far off from floating, he thought that maybe he wouldn’t have. Adam closed his eyes and surrendered himself to the feeling and to the idea that this was far from the last time that Ronan would take a feather, or other things, to his skin in that torturous way.
Adam couldn’t help but smile at the thought.

Based on this dream I had of someone I know, thought it would be a fun write to project it on Charlie Gillespie in Julie and the phantoms.
Illicit Affairs
Luke’s head moved closer to mine and my body froze. Before I had time to prepare myself for what was happening, his lips met mine. It was like everything in my body was paralyzed except for my lips greeting his. Was this really happening? A rush of ecstasy spread through my body. This shouldn't be happening. I am not a cheater, Matt doesn't deserve this. The worst thing was that I didn't want to pull away. It felt like I was addicted to a drug and the only way I could get it was through his lips. Yet I collected my self restraint and moved my head away from his. Our eyes locked and I could see a haze lingering in his eyes. They told me that he hadn't gotten enough and if I had to admit it, neither had I.
"Looks like you are what you hate." He said mockingly referring to all the times I said I hated cheaters. A satisfied smile slid across his face. "Shut up." I said with a husky voice. My body was still bursting with the tingling sensation his kiss gave me. A silence fell heavy on my chest. No, no don't look at me with your eyes like that. I thought to myself trying not to fall down that illicit rabbithole again. But I have had a track record of not being able to hold myself back when I wanted something. And when he moved in on me for the second time I knew that I had lost. I didn't move away, I just sat there waiting for more of that intoxicating sensation his soft lips gave me. It washed over me like waves, taking away my breath. Drowning had never been more amorous. If this had been an ending scene to some romantic movie there would have been fireworks decorating the night sky behind us. But this wasn't a movie, this was a bad life decision. I knew that, but the things I felt stopped me from being a responsible, good person. I felt his fingers gently brush against my hand as his lips passionately moved across mine. Tingles lingered on the skin his fingers had so carelessly, yet passionately, brushed. There was no way to portray to the fullest how that kiss made me feel, but to say the least it was legendary. Was it the excitement of someone new? Someone you didn't think had the hots for you and only saw you in a friendship kind of way. The thrill of doing something coherently bad. It might be a combination of those things. That was what made it so intoxicating. I had to break from this spell he had cast over me. Before we ended up naked in bed full of regrets. Besides, a kiss is one thing, making love to someone else is a whole other mistake. Something you can never come back from. "We can't do this." I said drawing a line. He still looked like he wanted to kiss me again, but he nodded. Luke understood that there was someone else and that what we were doing was bad. I still had no clue what happened or why it happened, but all I can guess is that he developed feelings for me. It's a whole different world out here. You start seeing people in a different way, see them doing a world of good for the people who got nothing. Besides you're always together, all that should be a good reason to fall for someone you have already known for years. Right? Even though turning him down should have normally made for an awkward moment, I didn't feel that way. I was still lifted high in the sky on this ecstasy. This was our last night here. In fact it was time to leave and get to the airport. "Let's go." Luke said after a quick glance at his watch. His vibrating low voice send a chill up my spine. It was almost as if he purposely was trying to seduce me! I squinted my eyes at him before getting up. Even though I had found my wit back, my stomach was still filled with this warm fluttery feeling. It felt as if an angelic like liquid was pumping through my veins. We walked down to the dock to the boat where our bags had already been stowed away. "I guess this means we will never see each other again." Luke said as we arrived at the end of the dock. I stood there watching the moonlight dance on the dark waves. Never seeing each other again? The angelic rush disappeared and made place for undeniable dread. I want to see you again. I told him, but I didn't speak the words aloud. I still had my back towards him, unable to look him in the eye. Why am I feeling this way? Can we still be friends? I thought about it for a second and then turned around to face him. "We are still friends right?" I asked him, giving him an innocent look. Desire is treacherous. And I desired to still see him. I desired more, but I could manage to keep it at being friends, so what is the harm to remaining friends? The kiss had never happened. Luke looked at me, studying my face it almost seemed. Normally he always spoke without letting the seconds slip away from him. Still, the things he said, or maybe it was the way he said it rather, made him sound so much older than he actually was. Sometimes I would just forget that he was 3 years younger than me. I was thinking about how much I liked those moments when he said something stupid or didn't understand something simple. He could be someone so composed and brilliant, able to make you believe he knew all worlds secrets. And for those rare moments he could be the total opposite. Catching him not knowing something makes him lose his posture. He would laugh and try to get the answer out of you in this playful way of talking. At that moment he would seem so innocent. But right now he wasn't, but neither was I and it was all his fault. Still, to me, Luke was pure.
