love the classic damsel in distress trope, but the damsel in question is a pathetic fictional man bleeding out in the dark somewhere on the floor before his ridiculously gorgeous knight comes for his rescue just when he’s about to pass out, and the ridiculously gorgeous knight in question is actually a deranged villain who is his archenemy. but they both have these frustratingly unresolved sexual tension going on where they both hate each other but are also super possessive and protective of each other in the sense that no one else can hurt this little guy but me!!!! and so the knight carries his pathetic damsel in his arms bridal style back to his goth castle where they have hot, kinky gay sex ever after (after he nurses his pathetic enemy’s ass back to health, of course, can’t risk bruising our fragile damsel when he’s already half dead).

ok ok i have an idea for a hero and villain origin story hear me out -

supervillain is in love with civilian!villain but civilian!villain is about to marry civilian!hero and they're super in love.

supervillain crashes the wedding to wipe their memories so that they get villain on their side. they hit them both with a memory loss ray and --

"i will not forget this. i will not forget you."

when villain wakes up from the coma because of the memory loss ray supervillain is there and starts acting like their love interest and acting like they've been working together their whole lives, tricking villain into joining them.

on the other hand, supervillain's sidekick wakes hero up and tells them that their fiancee left them at the altar.

instead of going insane as supervillain had hoped hero would do, hero instead took out all their anger in the form of becoming a vigilante and then a hero, taking out everyone supervillain sends their way....

until villain.

they're fighting and villain tears of hero's mask and --

"i...oh no...

i forgot."

"'Course I can. You think the gun pointed at your head is empty?"

He laughs. He's on the ground, and she's straddling him. Blood drips from his temple, but the look in his eyes is knowing, triumphant, and mockingly amused.

"No, no," he chuckles. "I know you can kill. But can you kill me?"

She tries her hardest to keep a neutral expression. "I can."

"Your face is saying the exact opposite."

"My personal emotions do not matter in this situation. I must eliminate you."

"Because the government said so?"

"Because you're a threat."

"You shouldn't trust everything they say," he tells her gently.

"That's up to me."

He gives her a bitter smile.

"I'm not the real villain here."

"I know."

And her tears begin spilling down.
