this is a blog about mostly anime, and I will eventually be writing fanfics, one-shots for many anime guys and girls requests are closed since I don't have my laptop atm and I have 7 drafts I need to finish, as well as brainrots 😝 I take fluff, smut, not big on angst but I will write angst for certain characters, for these guys, girls, and more.

Um. Um- guys. I currently have 170 submissions (it was 169 for almost 12 hours, until someone submitted Elric of Melniboné) for a whopping 152 characters. And i think we can all agree that that is just wayyy too many characters, so. I've decided to create a bracket only out of those that have been submitted at least 2 times. Which currently is 24 characters, listed below. Submissions remain open.

If you've already submitted your blorbo, but they aren't on this list, please don't submit them again. You can create propaganda and send it to me for posting or convince your fandom friends to submit the character, but please refrain from double submitting, since if i have too many characters that fit the 2 submissions criteria i might have to cut some of them out, to make a reasonable sized bracket.

Only 1 character from each fandom will be included in the bracket so for fandoms that will have more than 1 character that qualifies, i will make a "round 0" in which you, lovely users, through the power of polls will determine the one and only character from each fandom that will enter the actual bracket. I've decided to use polls for this rather than just go by the number of submissions, since i think it will be more fun.

I won't have time to work on the bracket until thursday afternoon so submissions will be kept open at least until then. I will answer asks and post any propaganda that you send my way, so feel free to do that.

Could I ask for a Yandere Shoto, Dabi, Ken Kaneki, Killua, Feitan, Kurapika, L and Near learning that their s/o feels genuine happiness towards them and them only?

I feel terrible for letting you wait that long😣. I wish the day would have more than 24 hours, I really do. It would make my schedules easier. Underaged characters are aged up.

Genuine happiness towards only you

Killua Zoldyck

🪀A bit more of a Tsundere, but Killua feels quite joyful knowing his darling is so happy with him. And he lets that show the one or another way, even if he reacts more embarrassed if someone points out that he radiates of an unusual bright aura. His delusions work differently in the sense that he justifies his actions, but not that his love is returned and so he has to be concerned at first whether you’ll like him or not. Being handed this result isn’t something you’ll hear him complaining about.

🪀Maybe not even the fact that you seem to only feel real happiness towards him and no one else is something weird in his opinion. Granted, it might make him wonder sometimes if there is a certain reason, a rather tragic one for that in which case the snow-haired boy will gladly drill someone’s heart. On the other hand he has only a handful of people to which he feels sincere happiness with as well, so at one point he decides he won’t mind as long as this doesn’t affect the relationship and you. Call him more selfish, but he likes deep down that he seems to be the only one his darling is happy with.

Kurapika Kurta

⛓For Kurapika the feeling is pretty equal if I may say so, he sees in his precious darling also the only person around whom he can feel true joy. Kurapika is not a delusional Yandere, he knows that what he does is not consensual and something normal people would want. But Kurapika has grieved already too much and has lost the maximum so he has been pushed to the point where he is too exhausted to care anymore. Rather a darling that is still alive and can love him than a dead person who will never return again.

⛓Kurapika is also so much more open with the fact that he is pretty much over the moon that his darling is only really happy when with him. There are no rare doubts like Killua has them, even if subconsciously he sometimes thinks he should probably not be that happy that around others you are never as carefree. Kurapika is openly selfish with it, though it is completely overshadowed by his own joy with this situation. It’s just a huge relief for Kurapika to be made aware of your feelings since he wants to be someone who gives you happiness and protection. Express your happiness and love and you have him melting.

Feitan Portor

☠️What a mess. Feitan absolutely refuses to show happiness to his darling simply because he doesn’t like expressing any sort of weakness. Yet here you have him under your damn spell and he even needed time until he came to the point where he didn’t enjoy hurting you anymore which had him go mad as well. He isn’t too dumb to think that anyone would love him after everything he has done and inducing fear into his darling is something he still loves doing. He doesn’t want to be seen as someone soft and caring, but as someone his darling fears.

☠️Bizarre is a light word to use when he gets to know that his s/o happens to feel happiness for pretty much only him. It goes against anything he has done so far, torturing and death threats being muttered constantly to you. Not above questioning your own sanity for this either, though there is an excited thrill inside of him. This situation is unexpected, sure. But there is a certain satisfaction that he is the only one you feel joyful around, makes you in his opinion truly his. On the other hand he hates that you just became more admirable and lovely in his opinion and that he gets flustered when you show your happiness. He hides his face in attempts to not let you see his slight blush.

L Lawliet

🍰The guy who is one of the quickest to notice this all. Even if he starts as a major stalker, L decides to get to know his darling at one point on a more personal level. Spending hours in front of monitors watching them only satisfies him for that long and even if he isn’t a social butterfly, his darling is worth it. L carries this selfish need around to be someone you are happy around as well, that is why stalking you was an advantage so he can create a bond faster with you. He is very observant, so he comes to realize how you always seem to fake your happiness with others whilst with him you never.

🍰It is amazing as much as it is exhilarating for him, knowing just how successful his plan was, though initially he is a bit iffy. He's a detective, so obviously he is interested to why this is only with him, but if that is just how it is, he can live with that. It is really only a reason more why he lures you in quicker with you following willingly. So from a very technical point of view this isn't even considered kidnapping anymore since his darling chose this with their free will. His expectations kind of get higher over time with this knowledge in mind alongside with his more needy side.

Near

🎲Up there with L in the "I'll have this figured out quickly" club. Near is such a major stalker himself with cameras, wiretaps and the whole package. What differs him from L though is that he is the more impatient and more childish Yandere to begin with. So even if he wants to make a friendship with his s/o at first as well, he is quicker with the whole process of kidnapping since he is additionally the more possessive Yandere. Near wants to be loved and to be taken care of from you.

🎲Pretty much over the moon when he finds out that you can only be truly happy with him, it sets his hopes high up and similar to L it is such a great motivation to 'kidnap' you faster. Doesn't share the desire to get to the bottom why he is this one person like L sometimes would, he wants to be pampered with that knowledge in mind and the love coming with it. It fuels somewhat slight delusions in him as well since he always thought that with enough time his darling will love him. But this is already the case and his hopes have an unhealthy boost after this so it is more likely that Near will let his guard down quicker and more often than L who is more cautious.

Shoto Todoroki

🔥❄️Might sound weird, but Shoto is almost a bit scared once he comes to notice that his darling always searches for him and wants to spend time with him, smiles genuinely at him and treats him like he's the best person in the world. At the beginnings of his obsession Shoto is more of a aware Yandere who has his delusional mood swings from time to time. As much as he is already being selfish and enjoys that fact, he feels himself slipping further and further in his own illusions and he knows it'll be hard to get out of those, especially if he is misinterpreting something in here.

🔥❄️But it can't be helped anymore the moment his darling confesses to him that they only seem to be able to feel happiness towards him. He's probably never been told that before except for his mother maybe, so hearing those words from your lips has him brewing with emotions on the inside and he might just tear up a bit. His worries also come true with him turning much more to a delusional Yandere. Shoto will be terribly selfish in here, but what is so wrong with that? His darling is only happy around him after all and he is only happy around them. The more he shows his love, the more you'll be happy right? Just don't be that happy around anyone else.

Dabi

🔹Different from Shoto, Dabi is a relatively lucid Yandere, though with him the point is that he has just done worse. He's killed and he is a villain, so why should he care anymore for the wrongness of his feelings? Dabi still carries an understanding that his s/o might be scared of him as well as soon as he kidnaps them, he's really just prepared for it. So it would be downright shocking for him to witness that after he's abducted his darling and a bit time has passed by, they claim him to be the only person they've ever been truly happy around.

🔹I mean, he might have kind of noticed that you've never looked that bright around anyone else than him, but he still has his doubts. Maybe it's Stockholm syndrome already or maybe you're just acting to search for a way to escape. In either case, he'll be watching with caution. Honestly, he hopes it isn't a lie because it's been too long since he's been appreciated by anyone and it is hard to resist temptation whenever you cling onto him and just seem sincerely happy. He'll choose to be selfish in the end as well, how couldn't he with such an adorable little mouse? But Dabi does worry a bit if there was ever a cause for you never having felt happy around someone. And if it was a person, he'll gladly burn them down to ash.

Ken Kaneki

🔲Given the fact that Kaneki is one of those Yanderes who have troubles functioning without their darling and the knowledge that they're being loved by the s/o, it is quite obvious how Kaneki will feel about this. He'll be in ecstasy about it all once he finds out about it which is most likely after he has already abducted his darling. Granted, Kaneki can come over as very paranoid and unhinged with the way he is desperate, but in the end all he begs for is love. The thought of his darling possibly being frightened of him and what he is terrifies him.

🔲It's incredibly soothing for his jittery sanity to be made aware that he is the source of his darling's genuine happiness and obviously he'll be selfish about it as well. He has his own delusions as well that are based on his own belief that this world would be too dangerous for you to survive alone which is why he gives his protection. This might just itensify this all a bit since apparently even your happiness was being kept away from you in this world just like from him. Nevermind, now you have each other and he won't let anything get in between your happiness. The relationship will be less marked from his paraoid and desperate outbursts and cries if his darling loves him and he can smother them all he wants and receives affection himself.

1. The Crimson Butterfly [My Hero Academia & Tokyo Ghoul]

People are not born equal.

That’s the hard truth I learned at age four. But that was my first and last setback.

It all began in Keikei City in China with the news that a bio-luminescent baby was born. After that, exceptional individuals began popping up all over the world. The cause was unclear. Time passed and the exceptional became the norm.

Fantasy became reality.

At present, 80% of the world’s population consists of superhumans with special abilities. The world is in chaos and a profession that everyone once only dreamed about entered the spotlight. Along with the exceptional abilities came an explosion in the crime rate. While nations struggled to overhaul their legal systems, brave individuals took up the mantle of heroes straight out of comic books, protecting the people from evildoers. With public support, some quickly acquired the right to serve as heroes in an official capacity. Depending on their performance, they have the potential to earn.

With the quirk I was born with, I never dreamed of becoming one of those greatest heroes. I was bullied and feared by people around me because of the quirk I inherited from one of my parents. I was called a ‘demon’ child because of this. But then one day something happened. A boy who was a very close friend of mine said something really inspiring to me which lightened up my spirit and encouraged me to finally pursue my dream of becoming a hero.

He said - ’You can be a hero as well, Nana-chan!’

And that was it. That’s what I needed to hear. His inspiring words made me believe that anything is possible.

Fantasy became a reality which led me to become one of the greatest heroes ever lived.

“You’re asking me to take in Nana-chan with those Fushiguro siblings? Granny, you know Megumi-kun’s father is the reason why Akiko sensei isn’t here with us anymore, right?” Satoru asked, still feeling quite shocked about this.

“Let the children remain unaware of this.” the woman replied.

Bird Guy and Bird Stans and Twice Over

Thoughts on Spoilers, how Hawks is actually one of my faves, and more below.

So, I’m not actually that bothered by Lady Nagant’s possible/probable death--it bothers me on a principles level (the misogyny is real), but not so much in a character sense, since any character introduced this late, as I said previously, is almost certainly a plot device and not a character.

What bothers me most is Hawks being able to sweep in and save her. I also don’t mind this in principle, but I mind it from a character perspective.

Hawks did not save Twice, and he blatantly, textually, did not try everything he could to save him. Not only is Hawks framed as the villain in Twice’s death, but Horikoshi put such emphasis on Twice’s death as a turning point that he drew an entire volume cover for it. Lady Nagant’s backstory calls Hawks out on this, on killing victims on the basis of what they might do. So you’d think Twice’s death would matter.

Honestly, what is the point of Twice dying then? To show us war sucks? What was Midnight’s death for, then, if not that, and her death kind of works much better because she was a symbol of security for the kids more than a character?

To show us moral complexity and impossible choices in impossible situations? When has BNHA ever really shown us true moral grayness, gritty difficult choices? It hasn’t. No one thinks it has. Thus, this answer doesn’t fit, unless you think the ending will be Deku, Shouto, and Uraraka putting down Shigaraki, Dabi, and Toga. While I’m sure there will be moments where they fear they have to do precisely this, Hawks’ answer is not supposed to be the right one, or else why isn’t he the main character? and why did he do this in the middle of the story? To say that Hawks showed great compassion in trying to “save” Twice in a way that would probably have killed the rest of the people Hawks considered family is textually unsupported, unless you also think this is what Deku, Shouto, and Ochaco will do, and even then, you have to answer why it happened in the middle of the story.

Even if moral grayness was intended to be the case, you have to address it. You can’t just have it handwaved away. What is the point of the moral grayness, then? We have to see how Hawks got from “I need to put him down” to “I want to become like Twice” if we’re supposed to take it at face value. Again, last chapter, with Lady Nagant’s backstory, would suggest we aren’t supposed to. This chapter suggests we are. I’m reminded of the Enji whiplash days in that I wish Horikoshi would just commit to one point of view so I can either handwave Hawks’ writing away or anticipate it again. Stop trying to satisfy everyone and just tell the story. (Next chapter might clear things up, but you can still criticize writing as is in a weekly manga, and I can and will.)

The thing is? I actually realllly like Hawks. He’s the character I relate to most in the manga. It’s not like I was brought up in a system wherein I was trained to do whatever they said regardless of how I felt about it morally because oh wait, yes I was (I grew up in a religious fundamentalist cult-like place, trained to be a good soldier of Christ). I empathize with Hawks a tremendous amount, with his dissociative idolizing of people he hurts even.

In some ways the fandom’s response vs. my own feelings are eerily reminiscent of the response to “Kaneki” in the last quarter of Tokyo Ghoul:re, which culminated in me getting death threats for years afterwards. Kaneki was the character I related most to, but once the narrative stopped calling him out, stopped challenging him to grow and started handing breaks to him that it never gave the other characters, I was far more critical of his writing (even if I related most to him, never hated him, and pretty much constantly predicted a happy ending for him). However, fans deluged me with hate and bullying for months to years after the manga ended. It was actually traumatizing. I had frequent panic attacks.

The vicious, vitriolic responses to any criticism of Hawks’ writing and the rabid way his fans defend him makes me fear for my wellbeing online. But it’s almost impossible for me to talk about the story and not talk about Hawks, because he’s been one of the most compelling characters up until recently, and he is still the character I see myself in the most. I stand by the idea that Hawks should fall, but I’ve also never once thought Hawks would die in any way other than heroically, if he dies at all.

Unlike with TGre, though, I don’t have uber-high expectations of the writing quality, and my main investment is still the villains being saved, which I’m 0% worried about. I also think BNHA will hit its final theme (“heroes save”), so I don’t see myself disliking the overall story. I just wish it was better, because the theme is even stronger if y’know, you reinforce that Twice’s life matters, and Hawks’ character is better if you pay off the foreshadowing.

Rules and Guidelines

So nobody’s really seen this tumblr page yet, but I figured it might be best to establish a “rule set” sooner rather than later, so here we go-

- While my blog is not an 18+ only page (and likely never will be), keep in mind I will talk/write about 18+ subjects such as smut, especially when it comes to writing fics. If you’re uncomfortable with mature topics, there’s plenty of tumblr blogs out there that won’t include them. I will put trigger warnings on my posts but if I forget to list any, don’t hesitate to let me know!

- I don’t accept direct requests for writing fics. I’ll accept “imagines” (thirsts, if you will) and may take inspiration from them, but I won’t be asked to write a specific piece and then give a date/deadline for when I’d write it. Feel free to send any thoughts or, like I said, “imagines” on any characters or AUs, I do appreciate it.

- On this topic, I figured I’d get some of my trigger warnings out of the way. I won’t write or read anything involving rape, pedophilia, anal, or bestiality. These topics are way out of my comfort zone and I have no interest in them.

- I write character x fem!reader and nothing else I’m not comfortable writing a male character or gender-neutral character (which is ironic as hell considering I’m non-binary but whatever) and I don’t like writing for OCs or character x character. However, I’ll write a fem!character x reader, gn!character x reader, gender-swap and trans!character x reader. Really any character or AU I’m fine with, I just can’t write a reader who physically isn’t female, sorry-

Alright, that’s all the serious stuff out of the way let’s talk about what my blog is!

- I’m a writer, and I love anime/manga. My favorites are MHA, Tokyo Ghoul, and Death Note. Although I’m writing this guideline post before actually posting any of my work, I intend to have this blog be a place where I can share my fanfic writing with other people. I’ll put a list of series and characters that I write for (character requests allowed if you don’t see your favorites ^^), my favorites to write are in bold.

Why did you choose your URL?

My original url for this blog was bloodycarnations. It was supposed to be a reference to a scene in Tokyo ghoul where Kaneki bleeds onto a bed of white carnations and they symbolically turn into red spider lilies. I switched to thyandrawrites because I'm no longer a tg blog. Thyandra is my online nickname and my pseud on ao3, and I wanted people to connect this blog to my writing more easily

Before this blog, i had a multifandom one. When my obsession for Tokyo ghoul became too big, I decided to start anew and created this blog with the intention of it staying tg-centric. When TG ended and my interest in the fandom waned due to drama, I simply switched to a different fandom (bnha) and now here I am

I wanted a picture of Dabi with white hair and that one is pretty

I usually scroll the dash for half an hour each day when I'm not distracted / busy with something else. Whenever a good chapter drops tho I can spend even a couple of hours on here, either writing meta about it or reading trusted mutuals' takes

Did you have a fight/argument with another blog once?

mmh, I can't remember any actual fight but I admit that I haven't always been on my best behaviour. I sometimes get snappy and very defensive when I can't parse tones well, and that led to a couple of confrontations with anons over the years (some of which were actually people trying to start shit, others were people whose tone I misread and attacked myself). It's an issue I have. I'm working on it! I'm already a lot better at letting things sit without assuming the worst than I used to be. Also because now I have severely crippling confrontation anxiety, but that's another can of worms lol

I once got vagued by a popular blogger who tagged the post with "die bitch" tho... we used to be mutual until then but that opened my eyes to how toxic she was

How do you feel about “you need to reblog this posts”

I have a strong dislike for guilt-tripping. It feels very manipulative, especially when that holier-than-thou attitude is performative. A reblog about a sensitive topic deserving attention doesn't substitute actual activism and guilt-tripping people into thinking so is straight-up shitty

Do you have a crush on a mutual?

I used to! I go from being a misanthrope to crushing very easily on people. No in between. The person in question was an author whose writing made me feel seen and gave me the illusion of seeing them in turn. I ended up crushing on them for a short while but it was just a parasocial relationship I created by assuming things on them from the way they described the world in their writing. Kinda dumb in retrospect, lmao. Silly old me, what did you expect from an internet relationship

12 Days of Ho - Holiday Event

Holiday season is here, and it’s my favorite time of year!

I want to do a fun smut/fluff/crack event! I will post at least 1 fic a day starting on Dec 14! Some days I might post more than one, if i get really inspired writing. These will have some holiday theme/aspect to it, but that’s all at my discretion.

I AM TAKING REQUESTS FOR THIS EVENT!!!

You may send in as many requests as you want! I won’t be doing them all, but I will be for sure doing 12, maybe more if I really start to like more than 12! To request it’s only two steps:

1. Send in a number between 1-159 (i stg if you all send in 69 a thousand times i will fucking delete). I will be doing only 1 number once, so if there are duplicates, I will pick the character I prefer.

2. Send in a character from the list below the cut! No other characters will be considered!!

I will decide if I want to write fluff, smut, or crack. So if you specify, I promise I won’t do it. These are like mystery prompts since I’m not showing you the prompt lists I’m using, but will at the end of the event!

What are the telltale signs of a character's story being a tragedy? For example Hawks, Touya, & Shigaraki. Hawks is (most likely) gonna be a tragedy, while the other two (most likely & HOPEFULLY) are saved & alive in the end. All 3 of them suffered to some degree, & should be happy. Some people think Shigaraki is a tragedy (god I hope not), but you don't seem to think so & I guess I just wonder what the early signs of being a tragic character are, & one that is likely to be saved at the end?

There aren’t hard and fast rules, but framing is one of the most important ones. I’ve talked about this in relation to Hawks and Shigaraki (and Dabi) before as well. Hawks’ allusions and narrative shoutouts to Icarus are done to clue the reader into what kind of aim Horikoshi has for his story. Additionally, Hawks has absolutely no connection to the main heroes.

Also, tragic characters usually start as good people. They don’t start as villains, because then they’ve already fallen (well, in grimdark stories they might--but genre is also part of framing). See Eren Jaeger in SnK. His story is a tragedy precisely because he starts as someone with major flaws, yeah, but also as someone we like and root for with a worthy goal. See Kaneki Ken in the first Tokyo Ghoul, who is kind and wants to help people. Now, obviously this is standard for a protagonist. But it’s also pretty standard for a tragic arc. You gotta have some place to fall from. That’s not really the case for our villain trio in BNHA.

Also, here’s a really good article on negative character arcs. I’ll quote a bit here:

When crafting negative change arcs, many writers make the mistake of trying to shock readers with an unexpected tragic ending... For a negative change arc to play out successfully, readers need to see the tragedy coming... More often than not, shock factor will only leave your readers feeling cheated because it so rarely pairs with any real narrative purpose.

Seeeee shock isn’t usually good writing! Ahem. Lol. But honestly, this is the case with most things, not just tragedies. Redemption seems pretty set up for Shig/Dab/Toga at this point, so it will pay off in a satisfying way (hopefully if well done).

Could you help me understand the popular notion that while death for Dabi would not be a good narrative choice that it would be just fine for Hawks? I love almost all of the characters so maybe it’s my bias, it’s just I can’t wrap my head around the idea that two young lives were horrifically affected by less than stellar adults, where one decides to be a villain while recognizing his morals he goes on ignoring them for a bigger goal, and the other is made into a hero and that is all they’ve ever known so their emotions are not allowed enough to act on their subconscious wants to the point it’s hard for them to break free (very real life problem in a fantasy situation), both or one have to die to be so called “redeemed”. Another confusing point is that both of these characters get so much unnecessary hate, as if placed in another anime the very people hating them would be rooting for them. But I’m more interested in your take on narrative acceptance of certain plot points.

oh man, I hate talking about this topic because the last time I did, it spiralled into discourse. So I’m gonna keep this brief.

I don’t think it would be “just fine”. I know a lot of Hawks fans, I’m in a server of 400+ people dedicated to a ship about him, and so far I have yet to see someone who isn’t conflicted and unhappy about the death flags he’s been collecting for the past year. When people (including me) discuss his likelihood to die, they’re not discussing what they want to see, they’re talking about what the story is setting us up to expect.

In my opinion, and this is just me, I think that the sharp difference that people show when they discuss Dabi’s possible death as opposed to Hawks in terms of acceptance is motivated by their different narratives inside the story. Dabi’s character rotates around the theme of death. He’s legally dead. His family has been mourning him for ten years. He looks like a Frankenstein’s monster with his stitched up appearance. He’s at death’s doorstep every time he overuses his quirk. He literally tried to kill himself in an attempt to take down his father just recently. Typically, when a story shows a character struggling to hard to stay alive, to find a motivation to keep trudging on despite how hard everything is, that narrative of hopelessness is flipped by the end of the character’s journey. Take Kaneki from Tokyo Ghoul for example. He suffers hell throughout the story, is suicidal for the entirety of it, and yet at the end he still finds something worth living for, and sets off to a path of healing. So it’s only normal for people to expect a similar end for Dabi. Especially since we just saw his family coming together to bring him back.

Hawks, on the other hand, is a different case. He doesn’t have any family left, and was literally abandoned to his fate by his own mother (who knew Dabi would come after him and didn’t even warn him). He doesn’t have any ties with someone who might help him “correct” his path, and is thus spiralling and spiralling further into darkness. He rejected his one redeeming factor, aka his own victimhood. He rejected his one redeeming tie, aka his friendship with Twice. He made the conscious decision to stay a tool of the system instead of questioning his own ethics. He remained stagnant.

With this I’m not trying to say that Hawks isn’t a sympathetic character, or that I want him to die. Or that his death is even remotely a satisfying end for me personally. I would’ve much rather seen a path of healing for him as well, because as you pointed out, he’s a victim of the system just as much as Dabi. In fact, I literally dedicate all my fic endeavors to exploring that moral struggle, the could’ve beens. But the natural point to develop that growth was right after Jin’s death. Or immediately before it. Yet, Horikoshi has yet to explore any sort of guilt, any sort of self-reflection on his actions. Hawks is sorry for Jin’s death, but he’d do it again. That is the opposite of growth. He’s clinging to his self-righteousness. He’s clinging to the idea that heroes are always right when they act as law enforcers. A character who refuses to grow, particularly in regards to a system that is already foreshadowed to collapse once Deku reforms it, doesn’t have a future. Plus, the foreshadowing of his heroic fall (likely while saving someone else since that’s the theme his character rotates around) has been there since his introduction. Which is why a lot of people think that Hawks isn’t going to survive the manga. It’s not a hopeful prediction, it’s just a mere statement of what we can see from the writing so far.

All that said, though, I still have hope that his death might be the moment he finally redeems himself by doing the right thing
