Welcome to the first ever cringefest hosted by literally all of us writers on tumblr.

What is cringefest, you might be asking? Well my lovely tumblr fiend, this is an event for us lovely creative writers to band together and let go of all our inhibitions. I personally find that I stress out a lot about my writing, making sure it's professional and well written (hell I'm doing it right now as I write this) and that can be very taxing to go through! It's literally so stressful. But what if we said fuck it and wrote for the sake of it?? To be dumb, to laugh at our dumb ideas.

Let's put our blorbos into some situations, yeah??

But first, some answers to some questions:

What do I do?

Write the cringiest, most stupid drabble (or a one-shot if you have more to say) you can about whatever you want.

This is open to any fandom, character, show, anime, movie, trope etc etc.

You need to put them in some real cringy situations though. And make sure your writing itself is cringy, don't hold back!!

Please tw/cw accordingly.

Smut is allowed obviously, I'm not your mom, but again mark MDNI and tw/cw accordingly.

Can I join even if I don't write normally?

ABSOLUTELY. This is open to EVERYONE. AND I MEAN EVERYONE.

How long does this last?

This will be open starting Saturday, July 8th and will close on Saturday, July 15th.

I really need to buckle down and write an opinion essay on Hawks and his very extremely pertinent and moving theme of lost innocence, corruption, and trauma. But given how heavy of a topic it is, I'd have to scour the source material and possibly read all his parts of the manga completely/rewatch the show.

But it's wayyyyy difficult to talk about because how am I supposed to write an essay about it? It's incredibly sad. The poor boy literally sees himself as dirty. It's like.

This is one of the most important panels in Hawks' story by the way. "Your hands aren't dirty, Hawks" absolutely broke me.

the thing to remember about Kayama Nemuri AKA Midnight is that she is, above all, a Freak.

she may be a good, caring person, a solid pro hero and teacher, and an amazing friend, but before she is any of that, she is a giant, unapologetic kinky Weirdo, and also kind of a bitch.

this is the only thing that saves her from being your standard, run-of-the-mill Mom Friend/Big Sis female character trope. yes, being the mom friend/big sis to the rooftop boys is an important part of her characterization - and make no mistake, i adore that aspect of her - but it is not the only part of her. if it was, she wouldn't be nearly as interesting in my honest (and correct) opinion.

so will she look after those boys? of course she will, if she must. will she do it without also being pushy, kinda mean, and/or real fucking weird about it? forget about it. where's the fun in that?
