Y’all ever ugly cry over a 17TH CENTURY BIBLE FANFIC?! Because I did. I was NOT expecting myself to be crying over Adam and Eve from THE FUCKING BIBLE eating the fruit. The way Adam declared that he loved Eve ever since the day she was birthed from his rib, the fact he didn’t eat it out of temptation but out of loyalty, the fact that the very first sin after the fruit humanity committed was lust, the carnal desire and self destructive form of love. I read most of Dracula Daily on my own last year, and oh my gosh it's so engaging and thrilling to be here for these early sections. Not only is the frequency of the emails a great way to keep the hype up (not to mention the fantastic addition of Re: Dracula this year), but the emotional intensity of the beginning of the story and the atmosphere of this locus horribilis Jonathan finds himself in are just SO immersive. Gothic horror at its finest, and we're all in the movie theater gasping and whispering to each other, "Did you see that?"
