You continue to stand observing the stars from afar, glimmering luminously before your eyes. Asgard has just been destroyed due to the events of Ragnarok and the people have lost their home — for now. They were currently heading towards Midgard via a spaceship to take refuge there. Midgardians were one of the lesser intelligent species across the nine realms, but they could be very welcoming at times. Maybe they could build a new life over there…
Footsteps begin to advance towards you from behind, causing you to snap out of your thoughts and turn toward the disruption, only to spot the God of Mishcief approaching you.
A surprised yet secretly pleased expression forms on your face at the sight of Loki. You hadn’t had a proper conversation with him ever since your… fight. About him faking his death twice and impersonating Odin for years and posing to be king and betraying all of Asgard and especially you.
Yeah. A fight was one way to put it.
“Loki,” you breathe softly.
Loki connects his emerald eyes with yours, seeming to be holding something back. He was never one to hesitate, you knew that. He was always so outspoken — you’ve never seen him so rattled like this.
“I… I’m sorry, and I love you,” he mumbles in a soft tone, breaking the eye contact.
Your eyes quickly shoot up towards his, surprised with his sudden burst of affection. Before you could even gather up the words to speak up, he interupts you.
“You don’t have to say anything or even forgive me, but… I realize that I haven't been the best partner to you, and for that I am.. sorry. You have only ever been good to me, and," he stops himself to gently grab your hands and pull you closer. "You deserve so much more. I promise to you that I will do better. If you will let me.”
He sighs deeply, finally maintaining the eye contact and taking a step towards you.
“I’ve missed you since the moment you walked away from me, and I deeply regret letting you go so easily. That will never happen again — I promise.”
After all these years, you are finally hearing the words you’ve been longing to hear from Loki — and then some. You always thought it was a farfetched fantasy, but for once, it actually feels as though he was willing to change. That this time might be different.
You’ve already made the same mistake — twice — forgiving him then only for him to repeat the same mistake and somehow make it worse than how it was before. But, that’s the thing. Even after all his lies, all the betrayals you have endured because of him…
You never once regretted forgiving him.
“The Loki Odinson, God of Mischief, owning up to his past? My, where have I been this whole time?”
Loki playfully rolls his eyes. “Don’t flatter yourself, darling.”
A soft yet meaningful smile curves on your lips as you take a moment to process the last word that he said.
“You haven’t called me that since our fight.”
“And you haven’t looked at me with those eyes ever since I faked my death.”
“With what eyes?” You raise an oblivious eyebrow, fully knowing what he was talking about.
Loki softly shakes his head at your teasing before you let out a light chuckle once more. You gaze upon the long-haired frost giant, biting your inner cheek as you watch Loki being vulnerable to you for the first time.
"Loki," you call out in a soft tone, one gentle hand snaking up to his shoulder. "I’m sorry too. I shouldn’t have let go of you so easily either. You were right — I was too quick to give up on us. But, never again. This time, we’ll try even harder to make things truly work. Agreed?”
A soft smile forms on his face — one that was sincere in a way that he never usually shows.
“Agreed.”
Before you could even react one more second, Loki cuts you off with an action that he only does once every blue moon. An action that neither of you can even recall when he last did it.
You feel gentle arms wrap you in a warm embrace. Being in his mere presence made you feel safe and at home — in a way that not even your physical home has ever made you feel. But being with him — reuniting with Loki once more — you knew, with the utmost confidence, that he was your true home. And there was no place you would rather be.

Any Fan's Dream, Part 9
Any Fan's Dream Masterlist
Synopsis:
Tumblr media
When you look around and see Avengers Tower in front of you and Peter Parker beside you, you wonder how the hell you managed to get into the MCU.
Taglist: @secretly-sirens, @zeeader, @imdoingathingmom, @x-theolivia, @ainsley-official, @huntress-artemiss, @hoohoohope, @ourgoddessathena, @wiintaersoldier
Sorry if I missed anyone, please just message me again and I'll add you.
"Pleaseeeeee, c'mon, Mr. Stank. Lemme goooooooooooooo," you pleaded.
It was a couple of days after you had returned to your internship, and Tony had just informed you that you didn't have to come in the next day because he was going to leave tomorrow for the signing of the Accords.
You knew about the bombing that ended up killing king T'Chaka, and how it really set off a whole shitstorm, which wasn't something you could just warn about, because that would prompt far too many questions. You still weren't sure how exactly you would keep the Avengers together, but you needed to be there. Besides, you had an Iron Man suit, you had training(which was still painful, given it's only been like 2 weeks, but you knew technique and you wished you had more time but fucking Zemo couldn't wait a little while longer to get violent), and you had the ultimate power of being a giant Marvel nerd. Given all of that, you needed to go with Tony to the signing, you needed to change the timeline.
Which led to the current situation, you imploring him to bring you along.
Tony's eye twitched. "Stop the asking, you're not going."
And Tony refusing your requests.
"But-" you scrambled for a good reason, "-I'm your intern. I need some real world experience. So I should go with you." Your hands were clasped together tightly, grasp firm.
He snorted. "Kid, you fly around in an Iron Man suit, I don't think you need anymore 'real world experience'."
"And I am and always will be grateful for that-" you declared honestly, "-I just think that I should go with you."
Tony looked at you. It was not lost on him how much you wanted to go(especially since you had pleaded with him for almost an hour), and unfortunately for him, he had a soft spot for you. He cursed under his breath. Sighing, he said, "I guess you can come."
Your eyes lit up, hands releasing each other and forming fists which you pumped excitedly. Your grin was filled with excitement and relief, expression almost glowing.
"You are so amazing, Mr. Stank!" Your arms wrapped around him in a quick hug before you darted off, calling out over your shoulder. "I'll go pack right now! See you tomorrow!"
Tony shook his head, watching you leave with a fond smile on his face and a chuckle escaping his lips. "You are something else, kid."
~~
You looked around, taking in the abundance of clothing surrounding you. There were long sleeves, t-shirts, workout clothes, and far too much more. You had one suitcase, and you were trying to figure out what was essential and what you could leave behind.
It had taken a good two hours of begging and reasoning to get your parents to agree, but eventually, you managed to gain their grudging permission. You had to guilt them slightly to get them to agree, which made you feel bad, but desperate times.
You wondered how Loki was doing, wondering if you would ever see him again. And you quietly hoped that Thor was ok. But you knew the likeliness. Especially because you knew that Ragnarok happens around the same time as Civil War. Your heart hurt for the hardship they would both go through.
Your phone rang from somewhere beneath the pajama pile, shaking you out of your thoughts and making you scramble through it until you found the device.
"Hey, Pete," you said, holding the phone to your ear while you folded the pajamas.
"Hi, (n/n), whatchu doing?"
You hummed. "Folding my clothes."
"Oh, chores?"
"Nope." A smile began to grow on your face, "I'm going to Vienna!"
"Really? That's so cool!" Peter exclaimed. "Do you need any help packing?"
You really didn't.
But...
Peter Parker was offering to help you pack.
"If you're not busy-" you responded, "-then I'd love some help, honeybun."
"I'll be right over."
And just like he said, he was there quickly. The two of you worked to pack up all the clothes, finishing relatively fast. Peter was pretty terrible at folding clothes, but he tried so hard and you didn't have the heart to tell him. Especially with how proud he looked after doing it. It's not like you cared that much anyway, so you just shoved it all into the suitcase and high-fived Peter for the completion of the task.
Once all that was finished, the two of you sat on the floor, talking to each other. You explained to him why you were going to Vienna, and he was smiling the whole time because you were ok.
You cherished it, and only after he left did it occur to you.
If things went wrong, and you weren't able to stop the fight...you might not see Peter ever again.
That thought forced you out of your apartment and running in the direction he had gone in. Luckily, he had only just exited the apartment complex. When you caught him, you had a quick glimpse of the expression of surprise on his face before you threw your arms around him. You held him tightly, savoring the feeling of comfort. His arms wound around you instinctually, and you only squeezed him tighter, whispering a quiet "goodbye" while you held him.
You held him with the knowledge that you might never see him again, thoughts in a whirlwind.
What if you couldn't keep the Avengers together? What if you failed everybody and changed nothing? What if you died when Thanos came? What if-
"Why are you saying goodbye, (n/n)?" Peter asked, voice soft.
Shit. Enhanced senses.
You facepalmed mentally, berating yourself for not remembering.
"I'm just not sure when we're leaving tomorrow," you said. You couldn't specify anything because if you lied, he would be able to tell from your heartbeat. Super-hearing and all that.
"So you wanted to say goodbye right now," Peter finished. "Well, whatever time you leave, could you let me know? If you're too busy I get it."
You separated from the hug(reluctantly), and nodded. "Of course, honeybun."
Peter looked at you. The way your eyes shone beneath the lights of the city, the way you held yourself. Your smile soft, almost sad. But, no. That was the wrong word. It was gentle, and it was happy, but it was also sorrowful.
It was....bittersweet.
That was the word. It was bittersweet and melancholic like you knew something but you couldn't tell him and you were just savoring the time you had left.
He shook his head, trying to rid himself of such ridiculous thoughts.
But the thoughts lingered, and he wrapped his arms back around you because you were there. There was nothing wrong, you were fine, and he was fine, everything was fine.
But, was it really...?
And he tried to ignore that voice because, yes, everything was fine. Everything had to be fine.
Even still, he held you tightly, afraid of what might happen if he let go.
~~
"First time in a private jet?" Natasha asked with a quirk of her eyebrows. The two of you were seated beside each other on a comfy sofa in Tony's jet, the man himself busy in the cockpit with something.
You nodded, knees bouncing with nerves. "It's really cool."
Her eyes softened as she took you in, the tense posture, crease between your eyebrows from furrowing them. "No need to be so tense," she tried to sooth you.
"Yeah, it's not like the Avengers might break up or something," your sarcasm apparent. You winced at your own tone. "Sorry."
Her smile was small, and you were positive it wasn't sincere. Not because she was bad at hiding her feelings, of course not, she was the Black Widow, she was quite literally an expert at hiding her feelings. But you knew how much she cared about all of them, they were her family.
"Do we know is she had family?" Tony's voice hushed.
Steve nodded, head down while he responded. "Yeah, us."
You squeezed your eyes shut, nopenopenope, we're not thinking about that. That isn't going to happen. I'm going to change it. I have to.
A hand squeezed your shoulder gently, a comforting gesture that made you open your eyes to meet green ones.
"You don't need to apologize, your reaction is perfectly reasonable." She looked away, "I mean- this situation has been rough on everybody. It really...sucks. I hate this," she admitted, her voice uncharacteristically void of confidence. It was something you admired about her, her confidence and how she held her head high, unapologetic for her strength(as she should be) and unwilling to back down to anything.
But for all her strength, there were weaknesses(just as there was with everybody). And her family being torn apart was a big weakness, especially for someone who had made it her business to hide behind as many masks as possible in order to protect her. Someone who had only survived by not caring for anyone or anything.
You hesitated, unsure how to comfort her. "You're really strong. I just- I mean, you're just trying to keep the team together. It takes a lot of strength to try to hold stuff together when everything is trying to pull it apart."
That statement went for her efforts to keep the Avengers together, as well as maintaining a strong front when such a concerning situation was happening.
"You are, too." Natasha said, a small smile on her face that you hoped was sincere. You didn't want her to feel like she had to hold up a façade for you, you wanted her to let it out. To tell you just how stressed she was. So that you could give her the comfort that her character had given you for years.
Natasha wrapped you in a hug, turning to face you on the couch. It was a quick embrace, one that you returned entirely, a complete hoe for hugs by any of your favorite heroes.
You were gonna get spoiled by all the hugs they've been giving you.
Tony exited the cockpit to find the two of you playing Uno, smiling as he saw how happy you were.
He cleared his throat, garnering your attention. "I can't believe the two of you started playing Uno without me."
And that's how the next couple of hours went, the three of you playing card games and eating the snacks Tony had stocked the jet with. You got the feeling that they were doing it to distract you, given they had seen how much you opposed the Accords. What you didn't know, was that those hours of careless fun was just what the other two needed, both having inhibitions about the coming situation that kept them tense.
When the jet landed, you exited with Natasha, Tony going back into the cockpit.
You looked around, Natasha noticing your searching gaze. "We're not in Vienna, we're in London."
"Oh," you said, "why?"
Almost immediately after you asked, you realized why. In the movie, Natasha goes to Peggy's funeral, comforting Steve after the devastating loss.
"Steve lost someone recently," Natasha answered, "you might want to stay here, he won't be in the greatest mindset."
"Nope." You shook your head resolutely. "Aren't friends supposed to help each other?"
Natasha took you in, your determined stance. The guilt behind your eyes, for what? She didn't know, but she wasn't going to stop you from being a good friend.
"Alright, we should go then."
~~
The two of you stood in the back of the cathedral, respectfully silent as the service ended. You looked around, taking in the gorgeous building, reflecting on how much the beauty could deceive observers about the mourning going on within.
The two of you didn't approach Steve until the last of the mourners left, leaving Steve standing alone in the empty cathedral. He was looking down, but he lifted his head as the two of you drew nearer to him.
"When I came out of the ice, I thought everyone I had known was gone. Then I found out that she was alive. I was just lucky to have her."
Your heart twinged, a pang of grief striking you with his words.
"She had you back, too." Natasha said.
You nodded. "You gave her closure, Steve."
He looked between the two of you, eyes soft and gaze broken.
"Who else signed?" Steve prompted.
You bowed your head, as if his losing Peggy wasn't horrible enough, he was about to lose half his family too.
Natasha answered the question, "Tony. Rhodey. Vision."
"Clint?"
Natasha's smile was faint. "Says he's retired."
"Wanda?"
"TBD. I'm off to Vienna for the signing of the Accords. There's plenty of room on the jet." Natasha offered, giving him one last chance.
You just stared at your feet, unsure of what to do. You didn't exactly have an abundance of people you were close to in your previous world, so you really had no clue about people interactions and you normally just winged it, but with a situation this tense, you were lost and you didn't want to hurt Steve.
Steve sighed at Nat's offer, bowing his head.
"Just because it's the path of least resistance doesn't mean it's the wrong path." Natasha said, the way she said it gave you the idea that she was trying to convince herself just as much as she was trying to convince Steve. "Staying together is more important than how we stay together."
"What are we giving up to do it?" Natasha sighed at his words, Steve shook his head. "I'm sorry, Nat. I can't sign it."
"I know." Natasha said, you saying the same two words in your head.
"Then why are the two of you here?" Steve asked.
"We didn't want you to be alone."
~~
Natasha had gone to the bathroom, leaving you with Steve. Steve wouldn't look at you, guilt and grief keeping him from facing you, the woman who had been there for him since she met him.
You looked at the mourning man, gaze sweeping over his form. "I-" you stopped as Steve's piercing eyes raised to meet yours. You were painfully out of your depth, hesitant and unsure about what to say and how to act.
Swallowing, you continued, "I'm- I, I just think that today the whole world should mourn, because one of the greatest, strongest, people on this planet is gone, and she left a tremendous mark on so many people."
Some of those people weren't even in her universe and she managed to inspire them. You were, by no means, the only woman from your world to find solace and strength in the wonderful woman.
"She was...amazing." You meant every word you were saying. "The kind of person people aspire to be."
Your voice lowered, speaking at barely a murmur. "The kind of person I aspire to be."

Loki Ships
All right, I think it’s time to jump into the inevitable, since ships can make or break whether or not some people care what I have to say, and I get it. I considered including them in my pinned post, but that was already way too long.
I ship Loki with a lot of people. The first time I heard the term fandom bicycle, a friend was using it to refer to Loki, and I took it to heart (and probably also a challenge). As I said in my pinned post, though, I mostly ship Loki with guys, since his canon women love interests are often kind of shitty to him. This doesn’t deter me from the potential of shipping him with women (I acknowledge and celebrate that he’s bi/pan, after all) but the women that he’s around tend to be assholes to him, so the men kind of have to pick up the slack. (Is the assholery deserved? Yeah, sometimes. But I also like the idea of people being soft with him. And I think he deserves that sometimes, too.)
So I’m going to explain a little bit about the ship in general, why I ship it personally, and the canon likelihood of it, whether or not it’s likely to become canon in comics or the MCU or both or neither. Also spoilers for Where Mischief Lies, The Defenders (1983), The Defenders (2021), and Defenders: Beyond.
Thorki: Might as well start with my most divisive ship, though if you read my Loki playlist post, you’ll already know I ship this. I believe this is the first person I came to ship with Loki. This is obviously Thor and Loki, and I get it. I do. I am not here to defend my questionable taste at all. I am not here to make the flimsy arguments people sometimes make for this ship, like that he’s adopted so “they aren’t really siblings, so it’s not really incest.” I think that’s damn rude to people who are adopted and have adoptive siblings. Frankly, these are fictional characters who are fictionally siblings and I know the difference between fiction and reality. Am I supportive of IRL incest? Not particularly, no. But Loki and Thor are not real (and thank God for that; Loki would annoy the hell out of me). So I’m not here to defend it. I just think that they have a lot of chemistry, and a lot of romantic and sexual tension. Especially in Thor: Ragnarok. Like towards the end, they have this whole conversation about how Loki belongs on Sakaar, how he can flourish there and rule over Sakaar and it would be the ideal place for him. And both of them (at least verbally) agree that this is the case. And then Thor leaves him basically seizing from electric shock on the floor of a hangar. And then the next time we see Loki, he has come back to Asgard anyway, to help Thor save the people. And if that’s not love (familial, romantic, whatever), I don’t know what is.
          Canon Likelihood…….Unlikely.
Not even possible, it’s never going to happen. In the comics, not a chance. In the MCU, not a chance. Marvel’s never going to make incest happen, especially not with Disney as their parent company. And frankly, I don’t want them to. I don’t trust them to do this right or be sensitive about it. They will never not be able to spin it as some shocking joke no matter how serious they pretend to be about it, if they ever were to do it. And with the level of backlash that would happen because of it, it wouldn’t be worth it. So I’m just content to read and write fanfic and look at fanart. I don’t need it to be canon and it’s never going to be canon and that’s okay. Sometimes that’s okay.
Theoki: Theo Bell (from Loki: Where Mischief Lies) and Loki. Theo Bell (as I’ve said previously) is gay, very snarky and is a good match personality-wise for Loki in the novel, he walks with a cane as a result of becoming disabled due to a homophobic attack, and he works essentially for Odin on Midgard (but Odin really only calls on him and his coworkers when he really needs something, like when he needs something for his younger son to do when he exiles him to Earth). This is speed-run Enemies-to-Lovers. They don’t like each other at first, mostly because Loki does not want to be there. And Theo’s basically like ‘You don’t want to be here, got it. You’re here, though, so let’s deal with this.’ And then pretty quickly Loki’s like, ‘Oh shit. He’s hot…Oh shit. He’s smart… Oh shit. Do I like him?….Oh shit. His freckles are like stars.’ (He thinks the last sentence almost exactly, it’s wild.) So I think it’s very cute and I don’t think they got enough time together.
Canon likelihood…….Depends on your definition of canon.
Did they kiss? Spoiler alert: Yes. Are they together? Well, uh, about that… So this book is supposed to serve as a prequel to the events in the MCU. Do you see Theo anywhere in the MCU? There’s your answer. (Which sounds like I’m implying something different, so you should still read this book, because you don’t know what’s going to happen.) So at this point, at this time, is it likely that this relationship is going to come back and be 100% canon? No. Not likely. But in my opinion, how I define canon, has this ship been canonized? I generally define canon as requited affection that’s acted upon, so Yes, this was a canon ship to me. (Still hoping my unlikely Loki theories are true, though, so this ship can come back and be present tense canon.) I wish this could be an established relationship right now, but given the circumstances of the events of the story and the purpose the story is supposed to serve in the MCU, it’s not possible.
Lokius: Loki and Mobius, from the tv series. I was resistant to this for a little while. Mostly I was finding Owen Wilson in the MCU in general and interacting with Loki hard to believe. It was weird to me and I could not unsee Owen Wilson for a chunk of the show, and that’s partially what was preventing me from shipping it. But the tie fixing scene, while it wasn’t what got me to ship it, it did make me go Oh, fuck. This is going to end with me shipping this. And then I continued to resist it for a few episodes, and then it hit me, and now I’ve been bitten by the Lokius bug. I don’t remember precisely what was the turning point for me, but it was late. I think it was probably “You could be whoever, whatever you want to be. Even someone good.” I think they’re perfect together. I think it’s an interesting dynamic, because Mobius knows him so well. But at the beginning, he knows Loki from this clinical standpoint. He knows how Loki’s story is supposed to go and his personality, from studying versions of him, but he doesn’t know him. And then spending the show getting to know Loki himself. I think they neglected somewhat to show this on a nuanced level in the show itself, but the working relationship and budding friendship between Loki and Mobius is what ultimately gets Mobius to realize that the TVA is kind of crap and needs to be shut down because the TVA doesn’t know everything. Because he gets to know Loki as a person, that he’s not just a story or the predetermined events that have been laid out in the timeline by some higher power, just because that’s how Kang has decided that’s how he wants Loki’s life to go (or something to that effect). I think there’s something inherently interesting about taking how you understand someone from a general, macro level and thinking you know everything about that person, and then getting to know someone on a more personal and intimate basis. At the risk of perpetuating a sort of racist rewrite of historical events, it’s kind of reminiscent of Disney’s Pocahontas in a way. Where you have these assumptions about a person or group of people based on what you’ve been told by your superiors, but by getting to know a particular individual in that group, you change your preconceived notions about that person. And then taking it a step further into a romantic level.
          Canon likelihood…….Likely
I think they fucked up in season one. And I think they know they fucked up. I’m sorry if people ship the other thing (I’m trying not to type the ship name so it doesn’t come up in searches and people think I tagged my hate.), this is not the place for you. I think they fucked up where they were like “Look, we’re so progressive! Here’s two bisexual characters.” And then they were like “No homo. Here’s some selfcest instead.” And obviously Loki can have a girlfriend and I’d be fine with that, but making that woman love interest a variant, essentially just an alternate version of him? That feels like they only let Loki say “A bit of both,” so they could pat themselves on the back. They didn’t want to act on that. But the only woman who makes any sense to pair him with, with whom he has the most interaction with in the series…is himself. But they went with that anyway.
So the level of likelihood is either one, they realized they fucked up and now they’re going to fix it. Or two, (and I don’t think they have enough foresight for this) they knew they fucked up before they even aired it, and are like “This is the journey that Loki is on. He will eventually break away from himself, and fall in love with somebody who is not himself.” Or three, not understand what bisexuality is and be like “We need equal! He kissed a girl and now he’s gotta kiss a guy!” [Which implies there are only two genders, but they don’t even know what genderfluidity is, so I’m not confident they have any understanding of the diversity of gender identity either.] So I think it’s likely (especially the last option, unfortunately, given their track record with representation). I’m not sure they’re going to do it well, but I think it’s possible. I think they’ve set it up well for this to be canon. I think there’s some romcom story beats that are already present in season one, despite their decision to go with a different ship. It’s just a matter of how much they’re willing to break out of this mold of heteronormativity.
Frostiron: Tony Stark and Loki. I like this because I am partial to Enemies to Lovers tropes. I think the fandom has done a really good job of taking like two minutes of onscreen interaction and making an entire ship out of it. I think they have a lot of things in common, which can help them bond. They both have daddy issues, they’re both kind of spoiled, and a little self-centered, which can cause some conflict that will eventually be resolved. And they both have quite a bit of trauma that’s ultimately caused by the same big purple asshole, so that can also bring them closer together. I have a lot of feelings about them, which has caused me to write a six-part series about them and their relationship and how they can relate to each other. (I’ve attempted a few times to write a seventh part, so we’ll see if that ever sees the light of day, but they have certainly not relinquished their hold on me.)
          Canon Likelihood…….Not likely.
Absolutely not likely, not a chance. Comics, no. MCU, no. In the MCU they had like a two-minute interaction and that was it. It was cute, they were snarking at each other, Tony offered him a drink, but that was about it. In the comics, they have a little bit more interactions but it’s still very limited. The most I know about their interactions in the comics that are not antagonistic comes from (I believe) The God Who Fell to Earth, and there’s still not a whole lot. There is some explicit dialogue of Tony respecting Loki’s pronouns, so that’s chill. Tony knows that Loki’s genderfluid, so I like that. But again, that’s about it. Ultimately, the places were Tony and Loki have the most interaction are in Avengers Academy, the mobile game, and I don’t believe there are romance options for anybody in that game (I didn’t play that game for very long, so I don’t remember much; there was too much multitasking and it was stressing me out). And in the animated tv show Avengers Assemble, and even there it was only like an episode or two. (And in later seasons, Tony isn’t even in much of the show, let alone Loki.) So I don’t think it’s likely we’ll ever see a canon frostiron, unless we get like an episode (or issue) of What If that’s like, “What If…Tony Stark was gay” or something, but that’s both unlikely and I can think of several characters more likely to be Tony’s What If boyfriend before Loki.
Cloudki: This is a ship name I made up on the spot, because no one else knows who this character is. (And that hurts me, deeply.) Cloud has a fraught history in the comics, and ultimately, it’s not much of a history at all, they’re in maybe three stories since their debut in 1983. Cloud is basically the personification of a cloud nebula (hence why they’re called Cloud), and they’re genderfluid! Primarily because, when they made their debut in the eighties, they crash landed to earth and then their essence combined with the dying souls of this straight couple whose car they crashed into. And the essence of the star lost their memory and decided to take on the couple’s likeness and sort of absorb their souls so they could survive on earth. And the comic, while weirdly progressive for the time, was still published in the eighties. So you have to get past the Comics Code Authority or whatever it’s called (which is basically censoring anything it considers remotely queer), and also it’s the eighties and the author was cis and (I’m pretty sure) straight. And I’ve read articles that said he had a friend who was a transwoman, so he was able to get some help maybe (if he asked her). But at the same time, if she’s a transwoman she’s not genderfluid, so it’s not exactly the same thing. So while it’s done surprisingly more sensitively than expected, there is still a lot of transphobia directed at this sweet summer child. And they don’t know any better so they kind of adjust to this shit, so it’s rough.
So that’s Cloud’s debut. It sucks, and we don’t talk about it. But Cloud comes back a few decades later in The Defenders (this is a new run; they also debuted in The Defenders). When last we left them, Cloud had figured out they were a nebula, and people were being kinda shitty to them on earth, so they were like Fuck this, I’m supposed to be a star, good-bye. And so for the last few decades they’ve been in space as their true self. So they get summoned by Dr. Strange to help the Defenders solve a mystery through the cosmos. (Cosmos as in I don’t get this part. So in the comics, the cosmos are like eras of existence in the universe. I think most events take place in like the twelfth or thirteenth cosmos. The Defenders travel backwards through the cosmos through this story.) In the middle of one of the battles, they’re like “Hey, by the way, I would like to go by they/them pronouns.” (Because up until this point they’ve been going by she/her pronouns.) And everyone else is like “Yeah, sure.” And then no one messes up for the rest of the book. Because Al Ewing is the best. And then like halfway through the book, they get to one of the cosmos where the emphasis is like beauty and imagination and color or something. And Cloud is like “I’m going to stay here. This is a good place for me.” And they transform their body into one that they choose, one that is no longer resembling the guy or the girl whose souls they absorbed. And Cloud’s living their best life in this cosmos. And that’s the last we see of Cloud in this book. (And I almost stopped reading the book at this point, because I read Defenders: Beyond first because Loki’s in it, met Cloud, and then read The Defenders, which comes first, just for Cloud because Loki isn’t in this one.)
Then in Defenders: Beyond, Dr. Strange has to call the Defenders together again. But he only calls a few of the original Defenders and the rest are new people. And one of the people he calls is Loki. And this is right where Loki: Agent of Asgard ended. (And thank God for that, because whoever took over for Loki between AoA and DB fucked him up. I don’t know who that was or what that run was or if it was just Thor, because I never read it, but I’m upset by that author and the new Loki that trashed all of his character development. Because Al Ewing did some great things. Okay moving on.) Frankly, I don’t know what the fuck is going on in this book. We’re still traveling through the cosmos, but I’m very confused. I only read this for Loki and then I met Cloud and read Defenders. So they’re going through the cosmos and they get rescued (Loki especially) by the members of the imagination cosmos, and one of the members of the imagination cosmos is still Cloud. This is similar to MCU Frostiron, because Cloud and Loki have a very important conversation towards the end, but that’s about the extent of their interaction.
My reason for shipping these two (since this post is long as fuck, as usual), because I know nothing about Cloud and Cloud is known by nobody but I would die for Cloud I love them so much, is that they’re both genderfluid. And I think gf4gf is a great pairing honestly (I’m not super interested in a relationship myself anymore, but I think the only partner I’d want at this point would also be genderfluid, so I’m projecting a tad). And I think they would be great for each other and I love it. I think Cloud could really help the present Loki come back to himself and deal with these memories that AoA Loki wiped from him so that he could be this stupid Loki that doesn’t have any of the character development, that at the eleventh hour of this book (I think) regained all his memories and now has to deal with it all and defend the cosmos. And also, where the hell is Verity? Ya know? Like, does he remember Verity? How much did he forget? So I think Cloud would be a good help to rehabilitate him and then they fall in love.
Canon likelihood…….Not completely unlikely, things have to happen.
I’m not gonna straight up say unlikely, because things happen in comics all the time. And comics go back and fold in on themselves and change things all the time. So I’m gonna say probably not likely, but maybe. Here are the things that are gonna have to happen in order for this to take place: One, Cloud needs to come back. I think the last time they showed up was in Defenders: Beyond, and that came out last year. Preferably, Al Ewing needs to write Cloud, because Al Ewing is the best and I love him. Two, Loki from Agent of Asgard needs to come back. Loki as it is needs to regain his memories and become the perfect version of himself again. Preferably written by Al Ewing, because Al Ewing is the best and I love him. Three, Cloud and Loki need to be in the same comic at some point. They’re two completely different characters, drawn together by the ties of fate and tarot cards that, for some reason, Dr. Strange has. And also the cosmos (because he didn’t draw Cloud’s tarot in Defenders: Beyond). Therefore, it’s difficult to get them back together, because Cloud isn’t even in this cosmos right now, let alone on the planet, and Loki doesn’t even remember meeting them. Four, Cloud has to have some romantic capabilities. I don’t know what their romantic capabilities are. In their original run, they tried to fall in love with Moondragon, and then also with some other guy (I don’t remember his name). That dude was transphobic as fuck. Moondragon, the second she found out Cloud was genderfluid, became transphobic as fuck, because it was the eighties, and neither of these characters were gay yet. So did that turn Cloud off to romance forever? That was also before Cloud realized they were a cloud nebula; did Cloud realizing that they are technically supposed to be an insentient celestial being turn Cloud off to romance forever? I don’t know. Five, even if Cloud has some capacity of romantic inclination, Cloud and Loki have to be attracted to each other. They have the tiniest of interactions ever, so who’s to say? Certainly not me, except in my fanfictions, which I haven’t written yet, because I don’t know enough about Cloud. So possibly, but unlikely. And that makes me sad.
This is the only ship, besides Lokius, where if it doesn’t become canon, I’m going to be a Victorian heroine wasting away on my fainting couch, because I’m very disappointed.

I just thought of a more fun idea: have a Loki Pageant. Every version is competing for the title of The Ultimate Loki. You are the judge. Here are the titles you must award:
-Mr. Ultimate Loki and first runner up
-Most Talented
-Mr. Congeniality
-Best Personality
The categories for judgement are as follows: talent, fighting skills, hotness, costume, and personality.
The contestants are the Loki versions from each Thor and Avengers movie (separately), as well as TVA Loki.
Ahhh, omg! What a fun idea! 😱😍
Okay, okay, let's start this! 😍
Mr. Ultimate Loki
I am crowning Ragnarok!Loki to the ultimate Loki, because for once, this Loki has seen everything. He's been through a lot and therefore, he's got a lot of experience. Despite that, he's just so cheeky, funny and utterly handsome in that movie. Recalling, once again, the black suit. And the fighting skill? I mean...
Tumblr media
Look at them curlzzzz! 🔥
Mr. Ultimate Loki First Runner Up
TDW!Loki. His fighting skills are to die for, he's hot as hell, especially with the wild curls he had, when he was in the dungeons. And his costume... Ughhh 🥵 That green tunic gets me every time and I love his armour in that movie. I don't know why, it's just so fancy. His personality... Ooof... Sassy Loki here we go. "Well done, you just decapitated your grandfather." "I think you missed a column." "Evidently, there will be a line."
Tumblr media
Most Talented
I think I'm going with Thor1!Loki with this. I think he showed us a lot of his powers in that movie. Recalling the fights on Jotunheim and with Thor. This was just brilliant. He looks so cute and soft in that movie, and ravishing and sexy at the same time. 🔥 We don't have to talk about the costume, do we? 🥭 His personality is very interesting in this one as well. He experiences so many feelings in that movie... Jealousy, anger, revenge, pain, sadness, betrayal...
Tumblr media
Mr. Congeniality (I hope I am interpreting this word right ^^)
Avengers1!Loki. I mean... Yes, he's a bit of a bad boy in this (forced and tortured by Thanos, yes), but ugh... One look from him would be enough and I'd be a puddle on the floor. He's got that sexy dark energy, which is just, phew... 🥵 Not to mention his outfit... 🥵 And not to forget this scene, of course:
Tumblr media
I'd kneel for you any time, Sir.
Best Personality
Well, we've got only one Loki left and that's our TVA!Loki. I love him. I really do. He's a sexy, arrogant bitch (and I mean that in a positive way) and a sweet muffin as well! 🥰 His fighting is magnificent as always - I mean... battling 'Sylvie' with a vacuum cleaner? Come oooon, that's awesome. Hotness? Well... We've had the utmost pleasure to see him almost entirely naked, so... And the costumes? I love the suit. I LOVE it. He's so sexy in that suit. I love his personality. The way he turns and kind of... learns to, uh, love himself. (No, no, I'm not saying I'm a Sylki shipper.) He's quite emotional in the series as well. Seeing how his life would've been and learning how Asgard got destroyed... It did something to him.
Tumblr media
Hope I did this right @ijuststareatstuffhereok89 ! ☺️ This was soooo much fun, thank youuuu! 😁💚

Loki Episode #1 Thoughts
Well it’s 5AM and I still can’t sleep. Surely the safest thing to do is go on social media, right?
Anyway, time to spew some brainwaves on the digital page.
I loved it. I knew I’d love the TVA - I’m a big fan of all its influences and even took some time out to watch some films about fantastic bureaucracies to prime me for it (recommendations: The Trial (1962), Beetlejuice, Brazil, Ikiru, Naked Lunch, University of Laughs, aaaand Astérix and the Twelve Tasks - thanks for attending this brief perusal of my taste in film). I loved the little characters there, and wish we had more time in some scenes (no way was that little stack of paper all that Loki had ever said, it must’ve been an index for it). Casey especially. I want more Casey. Möbius, of course, was always destined to be my new favourite character - affable personality hiding a quietly calculating mind, soft, fluffy moustache you could nestle in during stormy weather, world-weary eyes but a spring in his step. It seems Loki hasn’t quite escaped his habit of finding father figures everywhere he does.
The other best thing was the constant, beautiful, vigorous, creative, slapstick, ridiculous beat downs and humiliations they put Loki through. This show definitely gets the most important thing about Loki’s character - he’s a complete loser. A poseur, an actor in a poorly reviewed show, a wimp, and sadly aware of all of that. Loki is not a dignified character, he’s not a mastermind or a Machiavellian manipulator. Simply put, he’s not cool. He is the designated punching bag of the universe, and anything or anyone that he cares about gets punched because of him. This is what I’ve always loved about Loki since I was tiny kid reading my first books. This is what I’ve enjoyed seeing play out in the MCU most of all. I can’t tell you how important it is to me to see Loki repeatedly punched in the face, thrown to the floor, told hard truths, see his dreams reduced to paper weights and his universe contained in a snowglobe, to be made to feel small and pathetic and worse to reveal that he feels that way to someone in a position of power over him. And here, it’s for a purpose, rather than a quick one-off gag (although I do still love the Hulk Smash like everyone else). Of course I loved this when it happened in Ragnarok as well, but that film was more focused on humiliating Thor until he felt a bit like Loki had (as well it should), although that pride-beating and Thor finally ‘getting it’ did help Loki take off a lot of his false airs. Here we see the same done again in record speed, made possible thanks to Ragnarok’s good work, but nonetheless I do cherish any opportunity to see Loki mortified.
Tumblr media
A small fly in the ointment - I’m not a fan how the name ‘Laufeyson’ is just dropped casually upon him by the TVA. The name has never before been used onscreen in the MCU, thanks, I thought, to Loki’s backstory changing so drastically from the comics, making that name no longer work emotionally or even logically (it was Odin and Frigga who named him Loki afterall, so why is he bereft of the other name they gave him? If the TVA records only his birthname, how could it be Loki? I doubt two different sets of people gave him the same name, unless Loki is the equivalent of William or something). To see him not so much as protest its use was strange and out of character, and that the TVA would tell an adoptee their ‘official name’ is something they’ve never used is cruel. I would hope that’s a part of establishing the TVA as an uncaring bureaucracy, but nonetheless it’s an unwelcome, shrieking note that makes me a little nervous. I know Hiddleston has been referring to the Main-Timeline-Loki-Arc as the ‘Odinson Saga’, so it’s possible this is just a way of differentiating the two Lokis, although I do not care for it. Still, I can be patient, and I am willing to see if they will address this possibly insensitive plot point. Maybe it’s something foisted on Loki that he eventually rejects (I’m fine with him forgoing any last name at all if they need a different one) or if it’s a sign the writer might’ve confused the comics canon with the MCU’s. I don’t think that’s the case, since the rest is so well done, if a little...hand-holdy.
This is my other quiet fear.
I loved WandaVision...until episode 4. I went to film school, I excelled at English class, part of the fun for me was always being given a piece of media and deciphering its myriad meanings and interpretations. WandaVision was a Disneyfied Lynch series at first, and I had such fun pulling apart the visual metaphors, deciphering the dialogue, searching for meaning.
And then.
Monica.
Dammit, they did her dirty.
“It’s about grief,” she says.
From then on, WV spent a significant portion of every episode not only telling you what every little thing meant, but how it should make you feel.
Falling out of love at 9.18 m/s allowed for some serious acceleration by the time we hit the infamous finale.
Loki has not exactly been a difficult puzzle to solve compared to some obtuse pieces of media I adore, but by god, it was easy to take his limited screen time and talk and talk and talk about the guy. While I could fill five pages about Tony Stark, I could write a book about Loki (and it seems like I am with Finnesang, damn it). I liked interpreting, I liked using my limited knowledge of Shakespeare and Mythology to glean insight into creative choices, I even kinda liked arguing with people about who this character was. A part of me is scared that this show will just...say it. Like Monica did. And that takes something away. There was a little of that here, but I’m torn on whether it was necessary to get the people who are way off on Loki’s characterization on close to the same page as everyone else, or whether it was a little too...explain-o-vision. At the same time, speaking frankly about a character we’ve supposed about for years is refreshing, lets us clear out the old air, and maybe gives us permission to open the windows and let new things in.
That’s what I really want from the show. Some old things, plenty of new things, and lots for me to dig into and play with. I suppose I’ve already done so with material from the trailers, which means I definitely do still have something to play with, but...I just want to avoid taking the specialness out of a very special character to me.
It definitely means something that I am so exhilarated after watching it that it is now 5:30 AM and I’ve still no desire for sleep. This is gonna be an...intense six weeks.
I guess I’ll just watch Valhalla again while I chew on this first episode.

hi!! i was wondering if i could have a marauders ship if you’re still doing them ofc <3 i hope this isnt too long!
i'm very shy and emotional, im also very jealous (scorpio moon things <3) but i never act on my jealousy in a toxic way, i just sorta get sad abt it : (but i'm very nurturing and i try to be as kind as possible. i'm also not very confrontational and i'm a people pleaser, i get annoyed very easily too which isn't great.
i love english literature, theatre and history! i especially love learning about queens and fashion history. my favourite play is Much Ado About Nothing by Shakespeare and my favourite book is The Dead Poets Society. Although i love Little Women (i love Amy so much!) and i'm taking English Literature, History and Government and Politcs for A-levels. I enter a lot of speaking competitions too and i’m in the running for head girl at my school!
my aesthetic is very coquette, think pretty lace, henleys, skirts and pearls. i also love dior, their lipglosses are so cute!! cardigans too, theyre very comfy and sweet looking. green is my absolute favourite colour but its so hard to fit it into my aesthetic so i just buy a lot of plants :)
my favourite artists are Kate Bush, Hozier, Lana Del Rey and Taylor Swift (Taylor is my favourite overall though). My favourite songs by her the the last great american dynasty, Dear John, Last Kiss, this is me trying, Marjorie and The Moment I Knew.
i’m also a huge marvel fan!! my favourite characters are loki, nebula, rocket, scott lang, sam, and yelena! my favourite marvel movies are doctor strange, thor ragnarok and endgame (ik people prefer infinity war but i just rlly like endgame)!
Hi darling, I am still doing ships and never apologise for length
I hope you enjoy <3 (Also good luck with your A levels and I hope you get head-girl!!)
James Potter
The Popular Couple™
I am a firm believer that James is equally or potentially more jealous than anyone. He is an only child who didn't learn to share, so he would want to keep his girlfriend to himself
James may be oblivious to most things, but you and your feelings consume him. So whenever you act even slightly off, it is his goal to cheer you up
You would cheer him on during Quidditch and he would support you in any competition. Being each others biggest fans is key
If you were muggle-born or knew a lot about muggles and introduced him to movies, I am sure he would fall in love with the humour and colours of the MCU
He might even drag you to a Halloween party dressed as Loki and Sylvie
You are Head Boy and Head Girl
Helping the first years settle in and being a favourite of the professors
It was a warm summer's day as the gentle breeze did nothing to ease the beaming rays of the scolding sun, but the cool nip of the lake helped cool the two lovers.
Soaking up the rare British sunshine as you lay against the soft grass, the bright white of your swimsuit decorated with spots of baby pink. Eyes concealed by oversized black sunglasses and hand held by the shirtless man who laid barely an inch away.
The chirps of the bird filled your ears until the loud guttural of your stretching boyfriend, trying to break the peaceful trance you had lured your mind into but you were dead-set on enjoying your rest.
Until you felt the pokes of an inpatient Mr. James Potter.
"Darlinggggg, come on, it's time for a swim."
Grunting out a muffled no as you trying to swat away his hand, and for a moment, you believed it worked. Before the sun disappeared and you were flung over a muscular shoulder.
"No no no, James. Put me down!!"
"Sorry pumpkin, no can do."
And with those final syllables leaving his lips, he jumped into the water with you clinging to his shoulder for dear life as the two of you giggled away.

golden wedding ✦ thor
Tumblr media
note: this is a commission for @myhoneybeeheart. thank you so much!!! also, when writing this, I realized I've already wrote something with this similar concept called Won’t Be So Bad. So, for this I’ve decided to do something a bit different. This also, honestly, go me out of a writing slump and I am so thankful for that
words: 3.4k warnings: smut
pairing: king!thor x queen!reader; arranged marriage/established relationship
summary: A golden wedding is usually referred to as being the 50th wedding anniversary. And on the 50th anniversary of the marriage to a particular God, you recall everything that happened on the night of your wedding. (Oh, and we’re just gonna act like nothing after ragnarok happened and that the asgardians safely made it to earth lmao)
Fifty years. Half a century. Five decades. Whatever you want to call it, it’s a long time to be with someone that you barely knew before your wedding day. And ‘barely knew’ is just pushing it. You admired Thor, since Asgard and even here on Earth. Something about the way he walked around, head held high, broad shoulders; a demeanor that showed he KNEW who he was and his purpose in this universe. He was magical in each and every way.
Word had gotten around that the King of Asgard was looking to court someone special here in Asgard, especially now that the very kingdom was being restored. Men and women alike put on their best clothing and behavior in hopes of finally scoring with Thor. You’d be lying if you said you didn’t either. You’d seen the way he’d walk around to greet everyone or play with some of the newborn babies. A gentleman to everyone he’d ever come in contact with. So it was only pure chance when the royal matchmaker chose you to be queen.
You weren’t sure if Thor had ever even noticed you. If he’d even looked at you in the way that you’d looked at him. And you panicked. What if he wasn’t this man that he’d appeared to be? What if he was horrible, and just an awful man and now, you’d have to spend the rest of your life with him. You worried all up to the wedding day, though, you never backed out from the wedding despite not being allowed to meet Thor in person until your wedding day.
Though weddings for Asgardians are far different from those of Midgardians. However, with the rebuilding of Asgard on Earth's soil, the kingdom could only help to adopt a few of the Earthly traditions. Mostly by the wishes of Thor to engage the traditions of his two homes together. Luckily, the royal matchmaker worked hard to make you worry-free about the political sides of the affair - couldn’t help much in the nerves department, however.
The actual ceremony was quite simple, though, it was still unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. There were golden statues of past monarchs of the kingdom, and which, you, were soon to be one. You’d be seen less as a wife and more as a queen, a companion fit to help rule with Thor. He’d studied you, he has one hundred percent seen you gawking at him from afar. He thought you were beautiful. Everything you did, every time you reached out and helped someone, he saw. He saw the compassion in your eyes whenever you’d talk to someone. He saw you.
And when you walked down the aisle to greet him, soon to be his wife, his queen; he fell in love. At first, it’d just been infatuation, but as you walked to him, staring into his eyes and fully giving him all of you, he fell hard. Your eyes were gorgeous the first time he saw them, but now that he’s looking, their breathtaking. The setting sun shines on them while you stand in front of him. Your eyes tracing every single feature of his face, he’s gorgeous. And he couldn’t help but have this sparkle in his one eye as he looked down at you. It’s like, as he simply looks at you, he can feel how warm your soul is.
There wasn’t an exchange of vows, but later in life, you two would go on to write vows as you fell deeply in love with one another. Through the entire ceremony, not a word was spoken between you two. For a great portion of it, the officiant was mostly speaking. Then came the exchange of rings, and the presenting of the crowns. The tall, golden crown replaced the flower crown you’d been instructed to wear.
The gold went very well with the steel blue dress you wore. The accents of the dress were off-white and gold. A sheer, steel blue scarf wrapped around your arms, hanging low as you held the bouquet of purple, blue, and yellow irises. Beneath the crown laid a veil that began right above your hairline and flowed down to the floor. And your hair had been braided to the side and entangled with flowers. Truly stunning and basking in the sunlight, you stood barefoot before him.
His crown was golden with red lettering. Almost similar to that of his fathers. As they placed the crown atop his head, you couldn’t help but stare at him. He was flourishing. His skin bright and healthy, and he’d been well fed. His beard was long, plated and a nice honey blond color with deep brown roots. A couple of greys sprouted from the hair on his head, and you could tell it’d been washed just before the ceremony. He wore black, something similar to what he might wear in battle, only not at all beaten up. And the eyepatch that fit so perfectly on him, it was once his father’s, pulled the look together. He looked honorable as anybody would follow him into the depths. He was home, he was safe.
You faced each other and joined hands. He stared into your eyes as you did his. A bearer came before you, presenting you with two with chalice cups filled with red wine. In Asgardian wedding traditions, those who are getting married must drink red wine together and then seal the marriage with a kiss. And so you both drank from your chalices; the wine was sweet, bitter and a bit tangy all at once.
Once you both drank, his hands came around your waist. They were warm and tingled a bit when he touched you. He pulled you into his embrace. He smelled good, a natural odor. You breathed in as you closed your eyes before opening them. You looked to him and he smiled, you could’ve melted right in his arms. And with your hands placed on his chest, you closed your eyes once more as he leaned into you. Your lips moved together gracefully, no one had to take much of a lead. It felt right, meaningful as if it was meant to be. Somehow, the stars aligned and the two of you got to meet.
-
There were a lot of people at the reception, many you didn’t know. Small children running around, playing with each other and trying to escape the grasps of the parents that told them to sit still. Adults hung around tables in groups, drinking alcohol and/or arguing with each other about the most recent drama going around Asgard. Small animals ran from small children or drank from the small bowls set out for them.
The sun had nearly set. Lanterns and small lights that resemble butterflies hung from small pillars. Large crystals sat like rocks, catching any amount of light to shine off of. There was a lot of gold and silver strewn all over the place from the cloth on the tables and the decor to the attire each guest was wearing. Big blue bouquets of flowers stood in the center of each table, blocking a few people from seeing the table in which you and Thor were sitting. Every so often someone would come up and wish you success in your marriage; a lot of those words were laced with poison and daggers.
Thor, with amazing intuition, could tell how uncomfortable you were at times. Resting his hand on your thigh and giving you a warm smile. Even whispering to you and saying that the two of you could leave at any time you felt fit. But you continued to say it was fine, beating yourself up in the process of declining. It’s not like you weren’t having a good time, you were, but in the same note, you were dying to leave. Every time his hand touched the inside of your bare thigh, you shuddered. Every time he whispered to you and his breath tickled your neck, you got wetter. Practically torturing yourself trying to wait until after the reception to get fucked.
Weighing out the various options on how to tell him you wanted to leave lasted through the entire reception and the toast. You were completely out of it and didn’t even notice much. But Thor did. He noticed every single time you squirmed from him touching you, every lip bite, and every last whimper followed by a deep breath. He noticed and continued to do the little things that damn near sent you over. Learning small things about you just by how you reacted.
Even how you stopped breathing when he whispered in your ear, “Come on my Queen,” followed by a kiss at your neck.
He led you away from everyone, your hand in his. He walked before you, showing you the way up the stairs and down another hall. You approached a large golden door with white accents. Thor opened the door and let you walk in first, letting go of your hand. Instead, his palm stretched across your lower back, guiding you in, then shutting the door behind you.
The fireplace was already blazing, making the room nice and toasty in contrast with the colder outside. You looked around the room in silence. The room wasn’t decorated as much as you’d thought. It was a huge room, of course, it has a fucking fireplace. There was a grand painting hanging over the fireplace, depicting the old kingdom of Asgard. In the center was a table with a vase of flowers, though unrecognizable to you, were very pretty and gave the muted room a nice dash of color.
“After you,” Thor motioned to the bed. Past the table and up a single step was a huge bed. Covered in muted brown, or deep tan, sheets; and draped over those was a big brown fur. You touched it, the softness of the fur felt like it melted and merged with your hand.
You sat down, and he sat next to you. Sitting in silence for a few seconds was odd as both of you wanted to make the first move, but equally as smitten. It’s like you’re a teenager again, only married. But fuck it, life is short, so you decided to make your move first; well, at the same time Thor decided as well. Incredibly in sync, you both leaned in, locking lips as though you’d always bed doing it.
The kissing had escalated quickly, from lip-locking to love bites and grips at your thigh. Before you knew it, Thor had told you to get on your knees.
And you couldn’t help but kneel before him. There was something about his demeanor, how he stood tall in front of you. The light emitting from the candles and fireplace lit perfectly onto his chest, you could see the heat from the room had taken a bit of a toll on him. The beads of sweat rolling off his chest made you thirsty for him. Thor has been a gentleman this entire night, every single word he’d spoken to you had been laced with mead and silk, rolling off his tongue as if he’d known you his whole life. You wanted him and there was no denying that.
His thumb dipped into your mouth, allowing you to suck on it. But as quick as it came in, it when right back out. He mumbled, “What am I doing?” in a low and playful breath, smiling and confusing you for a second until he picked you up. Softly, placing you on the bed, then pulling you to the edge of it. Still in your dress, he bunched it up to your waist. Without panties, he licks his lips in delight as he spreads your legs.
Licking a long stripe from your asshole to your clit, he begins devouring you. Eating you out as if he hadn’t eaten in a few days. Licking, kissing and sucking at every inch of your pussy. Every time he would moan, the vibrations would shoot straight through your clit, then charge through your entire body. He spread your legs wider, pressing them closer to your chest. He lifted his head, looking up at you, his beard wet with your juices. The cool air hit your cunt, and you shivered, grabbing Thor by his hair and pushing him back into your pussy.
Every moan you made, made his dick harder. He was practically creaming his pants just hearing you. And his cock twitched with every single lick at your clit. He was throbbing, but you were his main concern. His tongue flicked up and down on your clit, and between few licks, he’d kiss and suck on you. Inconsistent at times, but he was teasing. But when your body shook, and the pit of your stomach felt heavier, you pulled at his hair; positioning his head in a way you were sure that would make you cum all over his face.
You were so close, moaning out frantically. Curses and praises left your mouth as you ground against his face. You scratched as his scalp and pulled at his hair once again, your eyes rolling to the back of your head. Every single nerve shot to the pit of your stomach and your body felt warm. You could feel your wetness running down your thighs. Everything centered together and the high seemed to last for minutes on end.
“Fuck, I-” It felt like you were screaming. Your eyelids shut tight, and Thor had somehow slipped from your grip on him. Two of his fingers entered you. Thick, long, and now sleek with your juices. You’d minorly came down from your high, but when his fingers curled up inside you, attempting to claim your second orgasm, you wanted to scream.
Barely twenty minutes in and this man wanted to rack up as many orgasms from you as he could. With his free hand, he firmly planted his palm on your lower stomach. He pressed gently, and as he continued to finger you, you could hear the squelching of your wetness. But before you could warn him, let alone warn yourself, you’d squirted all over his arm and torso. Some of the wetness even hitting you in the chest.
It caught you off guard and made you a bit embarrassed. Though, the embarrassment soon faded as Thor warmly smiled; “I wish you did that in my mouth.” To which, your cheeks began to get hot. He took his fingers from you and sucked on them, looking you deep in the eye as he did in.
“I want you,” You proclaimed to him. Nearly tripping over yourself trying to get closer to him.
“You can have me,” He spoke back, standing up.
And you’re back kneeling for him. Palming the ever-present bulge in his pants. Though you couldn’t wait so long, so you pulled down his pants yourself. He also didn’t have any underwear on.
His dick was huge. Thick and uncut, leaking precum from his tip, red and aching. His pubes were gold, trimmed, and curled, though his balls were cleanly shaven. You took his dick into your hand, slapping its tip against your tongue, looking him in the eye as moans slipped from his mouth. Careful with his foreskin, you massaged his cock, moving your hand up and down, spitting on it for less added friction.
He honestly thought that he was going to cum, possibly the quickest he’d ever come, if it had happened. But he kept his thoughts centered elsewhere to prevent coming so prematurely. His eyes squeezed shut tightly as your mouth makes its way around the tip of his dick. “Fuck,”
His chest rose with every deep inhale. As you began to lick around his cock, teasing him when you’d put your mouth around him. And his hands traveled to your face, resting on the sides of you. He moved your face to position you to look up at him. “Open your mouth,”
Thor said it sternly, and you had the wild urge to defy him, but you’d save that for another date. You smiled at him, sticking your tongue out as you opened your mouth. He smiles at the way you obey him, and spits in your mouth, leaving you to go back to his dick. “Good girl.”
The cockiness that’s peering out of him makes you want to talk back and tease. You have a feeling that if you did though, he wouldn’t tolerate it. Which, sounds like a plan for a later time. Now, however, it was about learning of each other and your sexual desires. To which, you were sure both of you would be satisfied.
Dick down your throat, tears in your eyes, and you feel like you need to sneeze; but it doesn’t matter, you love it.
He takes his dick out of your mouth and goes to lie down on the bed. Locked in under his spell you move over to him as he beckons you over. However, he assumes that you would ride him, you now have a better position to lick all over him.
You lick him from base to tip, taking him all, or most, in your mouth, gagging before pulling away. Cock in your hand, you begin to jerk him off, attaching your mouth to his left testicle. Occasionally looking up to him, which you’ll find his head tilted back, and his fingers digging into the sheets. You even lick a little beneath his balls, just for the thrill.
Though the wait became too long, and you ached to have him inside you. Crawling up to him, planting a kiss on his lips, then, you lined his dick up to you, slowly sinking onto him until you took every inch.
You began to bounce up and down on his cock, grinding against him every once in a while just to feel him against your clit. He’d end up taking your hips in his hands, steadying you, and then rocking up into you, making you squeal with each thrust he makes.
“You feel so fucking good,” He says through moans. Various praises left his mouth as you rode him. Praising you for being so good for him, and how your cunt felt so nice and warm wrapped around his cock. How he wants to cum inside of you and fill you up, make you have his children. He is the God of Fertility so you knew that when he does cum in you, you’ll more than likely become pregnant.
The two of you went at it for what seemed like hours. You came back to back in various positions; of course, Thor made sure that you came before he did.
And when he did, he couldn’t help but cum inside of you, his hands gripped tightly at your thighs. His moans heard as deep roars coming from his throat as he spills his load into you. Your legs wobbly and numb, and you’re holding onto him for dear life as if he’d ever let you fall. Still, he continues to rock you onto his cock, more cum spilling from the tip of his dick. It was enough to make you orgasm again, all from the overbearing feeling. You gripped at his neck and pulled at his hair as your bodies rocked together to fuck off your high.
He let you down, your legs shaking as your feet plant down on the floor. He picked you up again, this time bridal style, and carried you into another room. This one, a bathroom. More candles and flowers laced it in decor.
“For you, my Queen,” A bath, already hot and filled with rose petals awaited you.
“Thank you, my King,” You shared a long and loving kiss before settling into the bath, which, he bathed you. Talking to you all night long into the well hours of the morning about God knows what.
You remembered that first night as if it was only yesterday. It was miraculous how you could have a lifelong bond with this man that you barely knew before your wedding day. Thor is noble, a gentleman, and always treated you how you deserved. He frequently put you before a lot of things, even if you told him not to. He thought of you constantly and explained his love for you daily.
Thor was the type of lover that everyone wished they had. Though, it was much deeper than that; a soul connection. He cherished you at his lows and his highs and would continue to love you with his last, dying breath.

Title: Winter's Frost Chapter: 22/? Fandom: MCU Rating: R to be on the safe side Pairing: Loki/Bucky Summary: Loki never told anyone the real reason he became so obsessed with Midgard. Much better to let them think he wanted to hurt his brother than draw their attention to the one thing in the universe that makes the God of Mischief truly vulnerable. Notes: Due to massive levels of incoherent rage at the thought of what they did in Thor: Ragnarok, I have decided to pull from actual Norse mythology again. Everything after The Avengers has been erased in this fic, anyway, so fuck it. Hel and Fenrir are Loki's children as it always should be.
Loki sighed, head resting on Bucky's chest as he basked in the simple joy of hearing his beloved's heart still beating. "I hope you know that you're not allowed to ever die on me again."
"Technically, I haven't died yet at all."
He frowned, pinching Bucky's side and making him laugh. "I mourned you for nearly fifty years, James, and it almost destroyed me."
"Loki..." It was Bucky's turn to sigh as he pushed the Trickster off of him and they both sat up. "Serum or no serum, I'm still human. Eventually, I'm gonna grow old and die. That's just the way it works."
"I don't want you to." Feeling like a child, tears choking him that he refused to shed and Bucky's hands gripping his, Loki shook his head. "I can't lose you again."
With that sad smile he was so sick of looking at, Bucky squeezed his hands a little tighter. "You lived over a thousand years without me, Doll. You'll be okay. You've got Sigyn-"
"I hardly think that's relevant." Prying his hands loose, he wiped furiously at his eyes. "Especially since, if the oaf can't sway Odin, I'll likely never see her again, either. Or my other children."
It was truly beginning to sink in, just how much Loki had sacrificed in his mad scramble to rescue Bucky, and he could tell from the stricken look on his lover's face that it was hitting him, as well. A grown man – a God– and he'd behaved like a reckless child ever since he'd first discovered his soldier alive. He'd succeeded, at last, but at what cost? If his actions left him forever on the run from Asgard, he would never see his wife and sons again; his one consolation was that at least he had his daughters. Hel ruled her own realm and answered to no one, least of all Odin, and Eira... He would die before letting anyone take Eira away from him.
"Jesus, Loki..." Bucky winced, pulling him closer for a hug. "Nari, Fenrir... I'm sorry, I can't pronounce the snake's name-"
That got a half-hearted laugh out of the Trickster, and he laid his head on Bucky's broad shoulder. "Jormungandr. It's alright, love, I'm impressed you remember any of them."
"I get headaches," he admitted softly, "when I try to push too hard, but it's coming back." Arms tightening around the other man, he murmured, "There's a lot I'd rather never think about again, but I don't want to lose a single memory I have with you."
"Don't force it," Loki cautioned as gently as he could, bringing one hand up to tangle in that beautiful dark hair. "It will come back; a remarkable amount already has. Just be patient."
"...Nari," Bucky whispered, shaking his head. "Fenrir, Sleipnir, Jor...Jormun... Can I just call him Joey? I know that's not how the J is pronounced, but his name does start with a J, technically... Right?"
At that, Loki buried his face in Bucky's shoulder and laughed so hard he couldn't breathe. "I would pay to see the look on Jormungandr's face if he ever actually heard you call him Joey!"
"Loki, I'm being serious!"
"About 'Joey'?" He could hear the grin and the suppressed laughter in his beloved's voice, so he didn't feel bad for being unable to contain his hysterical laughter.
"About your kids." He didn't sound amused anymore. With a firm grip on Loki's shoulders, he pushed him back to look him in the eye, and the atmosphere instantly shifted. Expression pained, Bucky reminded him, "What you lost, for me... If you can't fix this, you'll lose your whole damn family. Did you think I was just reciting their names trying to remember them all for a fucking Christmas card or something? Eira's brothers, her sister, her step-mom... Your whole family, everything you built before we met... My God..."
"Yes." His attempt at a snarky, slightly cheesy retort fell flat even to his own ears, but Loki still tried. Prying one strong hand from his shoulder and cradling it between his own, he told him, "I am your God. As for my children... Sleipnir was already taken from me long ago. I'm not sure he even knows I'm his mother."
"Christ, Doll, that makes the rest of this worse!"
"I haven't 'lost' anything." Freyja, how he wished he believed what he was saying. All that mattered at the moment, though, was that Bucky believed it, and so he soldiered on. "Not yet. Odin is a stubborn old fool, but he is old. Worst case scenario, if I can't return home without ending up in chains while he lives, well... he'll die soon and Thor will take the throne despite my best efforts – I really had a lot on my plate when last the Sergeant and I met – and because he's sentimental and forgiving, I'll be welcomed back with open arms."
"'Home'?"
He blinked, confused. "What?"
For someone with such a remarkably expressive face, Bucky could, on occasion, be difficult to read. With the most curious look that Loki couldn't quite identify, he pointed out quietly, "You still call Asgard 'home.'"
He scoffed and shrugged. "Force of habit, I suppose. Best not to read too much into it, darling."
"Right." There was a brief moment of tense silence, and then Bucky, bless his strange mind, smiled and nudged him. "Look, thanks to the serum, I don't really get sick anymore. So as long as the purple menace doesn't lop my head off, you've still got decades before you have to worry about me croaking on you."
Though he appreciated the effort, Loki couldn't quite bring himself to share his love's optimism. After all, what were decades to a being who would live for millennia? Rather than point that out, though, he focused on the other troubling fact: "James, Thanos is dangerous."
"Why, because he kicked your skinny ass?" he teased. "Or, to be more accurate, his minions kicked your skinny ass. Did Thanos actually do anything? How do you know he wants anything nefarious with these magic doohickeys?"
"Because one man amassing ultimate power has never been for the benefit of others, no matter how they delude themselves for the sake of remaining the heroes in their own stories." Giving him a bland look, Loki grumbled, "One would think a World War II veteran would understand that better than most."
Still clinging desperately to his attempt at humor, Bucky shrugged. "Hey, I'm still holding out hope on the kitten theory. You can't deny the world would be a better place if everyone had their own adorable kitty to spoil."
Finally, finally Loki chuckled, shaking his head. "I'll tell you what, darling... Survive what's coming with sanity intact, and I'll get you a kitten myself."
Bucky snorted. "Oh, baby, the sanity ship has sailed. Are you kidding me?"
"The best you can manage, then," he amended with a soft, sad smile. "Just stay close to me, so I can keep you safe."
Watching the other man's expression crumble and all the humor immediately vanish as if it was never there at all, Loki wished he'd never spoken a word.
"No," Bucky told him quietly, but firmly. "I'm sick of constantly being rescued and protected."
"It's not that I think you're weak-"
"Do you remember what I told you when you wanted to stay and fight just so we could be together?"
He did, though he failed to see its relevance. Still, to prove to Bucky that he was paying attention, he dutifully recited his own words back to him. "'You're outside of all this and that's where I need you to stay.' But neither of us is 'outside' of this one-" He was interrupted by his lover snorting and rolling his eyes. "What?"
"Not that part." Shifting position slightly so that he and Loki were facing each other directly without either having to twist, he took the Trickster's soft hands in his own - one rough and callused, the other chilly and unyielding - and reminded him, "'You make me weak. If I see you out there, you'll get me killed.' Well, babe, this time neither of us gets to walk away, so we both need to be focused on the enemy, not each other. Don't waste energy trying to protect me. Having to protect Eira got you both captured. When the war comes, just fight it, and trust that I can look out for myself."
That was a terrifying proposition. Enhanced by mad science or not, Bucky was still only human. The thought of him standing alone and fighting Thanos or one of his psychotic minions with no powers was enough to make Loki sick to his stomach. Perhaps it would be best to leave Bucky in New Mexico with Darcy and Eira; after all, run-of-the-mill human dangers didn't simply vanish because a bigger threat loomed. They would need someone to look after them, as well, and Bucky could certainly handle some random thug looking to cause trouble.
He opened his mouth to suggest it, but his thoughts must have been showing on his face. A metal hand clamped over his mouth before he could utter a sound and Bucky snapped, "You're not sidelining me. Purple Space Hitler calls for all hands on deck, so deal with it."
With a sigh, Loki batted his hand away and shook his head. "You really are the most stubborn creature, James."

Loki’s Good Girl
Can I request a loki x reader with the reader having like really huge praise kink please?
And
So I've just watched Thor Ragnarok for like the billionth time and I have such a strong craving for some thor/reader/loki filth. I absolutely adore all of your writing so was wondering if you could do something maybe where the reader's like a servant in the palace and they both just decide to use her, no holds barred? LYSM
Pairing:  Loki x reader, Thor x reader
Warnings:  Smut, dub-con (please do not read if this offends you), filth, oral
Words:  1300 (just a drabble)
Tumblr media
The satin sheet should be tucked in perfect.  Tight with the top folded over, like the Prince wanted.
“That’s a good girl.”  His smooth voice made all your nerves go on edge.
“You’re not supposed to be here.”  You swallowed hard, trying to ignore him.  “I can’t today. I have to much to do.”
“That’s disappointing Love.”  Loki rested a hand on your shoulder and squeezed. “I suppose I spoke too soon. You’re not a good girl.”
Hearing those words crushed you.  Disappointing, not good, he may as well have said bad.  You tried to bite back the whimper, but you couldn’t hide it.
“You want to be MY good girl, don’t you?”  Loki’s hands dragged down your arms, moving to your back until they rested on your ass.  “I thought you promised to do whatever I say to make me happy?  My happiness is your happiness?  Remember?”
“Yes.”  You shut your eyes.  The last time this happened you got no work done and almost lost your job as a palace maid.  “But….”
“Shhhh.”  Loki gripped your behind, making you fall forward on the bed.  “No butts.  Just listen.  Do as I say.  Be good for me.”
Your brain was screaming no, but your heart and body craved his approval.  So with a simple nod all of your resistance vanished.
Loki hummed in approval as he grabbed the top of your uniform, undoing the ties so that it pooled at your feet, leaving you only in your sandals.
“Oh this pleases me Love.”  Loki’s fingers dragged up your side.  “You listened.  No undergarments.  You are doing so well.”
The corners of your mouth went up in a smile.  You hadn’t worn anything in a week, waiting for this moment.  His hands found your breasts and he started to kneed, tugging at your nipples while his mouth went to your shoulder.  He nipped more than licked, his teeth sinking in hard enough to make you cry out.
“See, you needed this?”  His right hand went down your stomach until it arrived at your apex and he began stroking your swollen bud. “You didn’t even know you did.  Only I know what you need Pet.”
“Yes Loki.”  You swallowed hard.  “I want to be good for you.”
“You’re the best.  My best girl.  So ready for me always, willing to handle whatever I bring her.”  He bit your neck again as he pressed his thumb hard into you clit and tweaked your nipple at the same time.  “That’s right.  Isn’t it?”
“Yes!” You moaned.  “I am your best girl.”
“Well it would make me so happy if you showed my brother what a good girl you are.” Loki bit your ear.
Your eyes popped open and the haze of lust started to vanish.
“What?”
Loki increased his movements on your clit as the bed dipped.   You looked up to see Thor, his clothing still on, but rock hard cock in his hand.  He was stroking as he traveled closer to you on his knees.
“I….” You started to push yourself off the bed.
“Shhhh.” Loki moved you forward so your knees touched the silk sheets now and crawled behind you.  “I’ve been bragging.  You don’t want to make me look like a liar?  Thor needs to know what a good girl I have.”
You hesitated but a wave of heat ran over your body.  Loki was right.  If this was what he wanted you could handle it.  So again you gave a nod and let the tension relax.
“Wonderful.”  Loki leaned away from your body.
Thor’s hand was on the back of your head before you had time to gather enough saliva.  He guided you down over his gigantic rod, you tried to roll your tongue needing more lubricant to let him glide.
“That’s a different sensation.”  Thor grunted and pushed himself further into your dry mouth.
You started to cough as your gag reflex kicked in.
“Come now Love.”  Loki’s fingers scratched down your back.  “You can go much deeper.”
You ignored the burn and concentrated on moving your tongue, swallowing and forcing the spit to gather.
“Fantastic.”  Thor gathered your hair into a fist.  “She is doing well brother, just like you promised.”
“That pleases me Pet.”  Loki’s hand left your nipple with a hard tug and then his hand slapped your ass making you jolt further down Thor’s cock.  “What a good girl you are.”
Your knees were shaking as Loki continued to stroke your bundle of nerves. You heard his pants come undone and got another wave of giddiness.  He was going to let you have his cock.
“Don’t ignore your duties Little One.”  Thor started guiding your head.
A wave of shame came over and you went back to bobbing and slobbering on Thor, having enough momentum to take him deeper.
“Ohhh,” he relaxed his grip on your hair.  “ Marvelous.”
Your hips started to wiggle, ass in the air as Loki pressed against your entrance.
“Always so wet and ready for me.”  He pushed inside. “Like all good girls should be.”
If his hand wasn’t underneath you, you would have collapsed.
Loki set the pace, dragging his cock in and out of you, taking turns pressing your clit too hard and then too soft.  You were dripping from both ends. Your jaw started to ache and you tried to rock your body harder against Loki.
“I think your Pet deserves some pleasure.”  Thor moaned. “She is doing such a good job after all.”
“Is that what you want Love?”  Loki’s other hand gripped your shoulder.
You shook your head no.
“No?” Thor grunted.  “But she’s been so good.”
“Yes she has, especially since all good girl know what they want doesn’t matter.  It’s what I want isn’t it Love?” Loki had a coo to his voice.
You nodded.  You were so lucky he understood you.
“And I would love, for my Pet to cum.”  Loki started slamming into you, forcing Thor’s cock deeper down your throat.
It burned and made the ecstasy more intense.  You mewled around Thor’s cock, grateful to have something to steady yourself on as Loki railed into your and stroked your clit with the exact pressure you needed.
The shakes came first, followed by the explosion that was building.  Your arms gave out, but Thor grabbed your shoulders.  His cock went rigid in your mouth and the taste of salt hit the back of your tongue as he emptied into your stomach.
“That’s a good girl.”  Thor stroked your cheek.
His praise sent another wave of euphoria.  Then Loki grabbed your hips and pounded in hard one last time.  His cock twitching sent another mini orgasm through you.
“That’s MY good girl.” Loki snarled. “Don’t get any ideas.”
Thor left your mouth and you collapsed on the bed as Loki pulled out of you.
“Well you’ve shared her!” Thor yelled. “Now I know about this treasure how do you expect me not to plunder it?”
“She’s mine,” Loki jabbed back.  “You use her when I say so.”
The two bothers kept arguing over you, but all you could do was smile.  You were such a good girl.

music artist recs? 👉👈 // what are your crushes like? :0 (if you have any!) // also conventional superheros or antiheros? (also it's kinda sleepover time here! 9:20 pm on a tuesday :D)
Oh no I'm going to expose myself here aren't I 😂 thank you for asking!!! 🥰
- okay so I'm currently back on my 5SOS bs today because I love them and their last album is so so good but their old stuff just makes me heart ache with nostalgia 🥺 I've finally got into YUNGBLUD recently and man that dude has some bangers, Mars has been a personal favourite this year! I know we all know Bob Seger bc of spn but genuinely I love his music so much, I recommend listening to more of it! And finally because they're an NZ icon band and I'm going to their concert again in two weeks, listen to SIX60!!! Just such good chill summer jams ✌🏻
- fun fact the closest thing I think I can consider a crush is probably Jeremy Sumpter as Peter Pan in the 2003 movie, I just thought he was the coolest when I was a kid 🤭 but other than that I've never actually had any! (I assumed it'd happen eventually when I got older then I kind of forgot about it then I learned that being ace was a thing and now I'm here 😂)
- I'd probs have to say conventional heroes, I am in fact in love with Tony Stark's mcu journey as well as Thor (especially in ragnarok), and just Chris Evans in general who seems to be a real life Captain America - basic i know haha. But I've certainly got a soft spot for Loki and the Deadpool movies 🥰
Man these made me think i love it, hope you're having a good night!! ✨💕💫

I’m Here, I’ll Be Your Crutch.
Loki quietly stepped into Thor's field of view on the mirror he was looking into, letting the other know he was there, quietly watching. It was a moment Loki didn't want to break the silence on, it seemed like it was important to Thor. His brother had gently touched, and traced the area around his eyepatch, examining it, getting a feel for it, before noticing Loki in the mirror.
Loki gave him a soft smile, it was one of sadness and regret. It was one of love, ready to rekindle their dying relationship.
"It suits you," Loki said, when Thor didn't say anything to acknowledge him there. Thor turned from the mirror to actually face Loki.
"Thank you." Thor replied, returning the soft smile Loki gave him before. "If you were here, I might actually give you a hug." He said, tossing the stopper up and down in his hand a couple times, before throwing it Loki's direction. Thor had expected his brother to be lost to him for some time after Ragnarok, possibly abandoning him again, travelling in his own provided ship until he was ready to join Thor again. That was assuming he wasn't killed in the explosion... Seeing him here now did ease some worries and fears he held.
When Loki caught the stopper, instead of the stopper going straight through him like Thor had expected, the air of tension that had slowly built up between them had disappeared, both males visibly relaxing. Loki took a couple steps closer to Thor, before stopping. "I'm here, brother," He promised, his voice soft spoken.
Thor closed in the small gap between them quickly, pulling Loki into his arms, holding him tight. He wrapped one arm around Loki, the other clutching the back of his head, as he buried his face against the other's neck. Loki had dropped the stopper in favor of returning the hug, his hands clutching Thor's cape.
They stayed standing like that for a few moments, before Loki could feel Thor begin to shake against him, and feel wetness hitting his skin. It broke his heart, to witness Thor suddenly break down like this in front of him, when he didn't expect it. Yet, he was glad to know Thor still trusted him enough to allow himself to. He began to gently rock them back and forth, quietly repeating to Thor that it was okay, that he was here, and things will get better.
It wasn't entirely uncalled for though, and Loki understood that. He's broken down like this before when things got too much for him too, a few years earlier when he was locked up. When everything in his life just piled on top of him - his Jotun heritage revealed, being mind-controlled by Thanos, being sentenced a life in prison - it all finally came crashing down on him once he heard the news of their mother's death. It was too much to bare anymore. Though, he didn't have anyone to hold him through it like Thor does.
And now it was Thor's turn, as the loss of everything he had, at the loss of their father, their people, hit him harder than it did Loki. And Loki swore to himself he'd be there for Thor now.
"I thought I'd lost you too..." Thor said in between his quiet sobs, his voice cracking.
"Shhh..." Loki hushed gently, running a hand through Thor's short hair, suddenly missing the long hair he once had. "I'm okay, I'm here," He said again, repeating the motion.
He moved his hands to move Thor's face off him, holding the sides of his face in front of him, and wiped the tears away with his thumbs, when he felt that Thor was mostly done and had let it all out.
"Loki..." Thor said pathetically, weakly.
"I'm sorry, Thor." Loki said, looking into Thor's one eye. It was hard to look at Thor like this, to know he had to deal with this disfiguration of himself on top of everything else. He meant his apology, even if he wasn't very clear what it was for, but he put all his emotions and honesty into it. That he was sorry for what Thor was going through, that he was sorry for everything he'd done to his brother, that his own actions caused all these events to come to light. He felt eternally guilty for it.
Loki's own thumb raised up, touching the skin on Thor's face just below the eyepatch he wore, just as Thor had done earlier. "The eyepatch really does look good on you, brother." He tried to lift his spirits just slightly. He wanted Thor to feel confident about it, and not let it bring him down and feel any less of a person because of it. He regret that he couldn't be there when Thor had the wound cleaned and patch applied. "Does it hurt?"
Thor shook his head gently, not enough to dislodge Loki's hands from his face. "No," He sniffled. "I've had some pain killers..."
Loki gave Thor another small sad smile at that. He wished he could take away his big brother's pains. His brother was always so strong, and nothing in Loki's recent memory or long-term memory had ever broken him quite like this.
"Can I take a look?" Loki asked, watching as Thor's face went through varying expressions and emotions about it. "It's okay if you don't want me to see, brother." He reassured.
"I..." Thor hesitated, his one eye looking off to the side, not realizing he was holding his breath until he finally exhaled through his nose. "I suppose you can..."
He wanted to trust Loki, let him back into his life. He wanted to believe Loki only wanted to look because he was concerned for him, and not to later mock him for it when it was convenient for him.
"Okay," Loki replied. When he lifted the eyepatch off Thor's face, he made sure to keep his expression schooled, and not show any immediate reaction, if only to keep Thor more comfortable. Sadness, however, was clearly seen in his eyes. It, well, it wasn't pretty, what Loki was seeing. What once held one of Thor's brilliant blue eyes, was now a marred, eye-less, raw socket. "Norns..." He remarked quietly.
It felt somewhat ironic, that Loki had spent a lifetime threatening to stab Thor over trivial things, and actually stabbing him when their fights went too far, but it was Thor's actual blood-related sibling, who took it further and harmed him irreversibly. Loki never, ever, would have done that to Thor, and harm him in such a way, even after his past threats of killing him. He always did love Thor too much.
A green swirl of magic flowed from Loki's finger tips, to Thor's eye, healing all the damaged skin there, repairing it. Making it as good as new again, saving Thor from further pains from it that he might not be able to later help him with.
"That should help," Loki said when he was finished. It certainly looked better than it did, but it wasn't any more pleasant to look at. He placed the eyepatch back on for him, a small part of him feeling happier, content, that he could help and be there for Thor, even if it was such a small thing he did for him.
"Thank you, Loki," Thor said, placing his own hands on top of his brother's, pulling them away from his face, so that he could hold them. "Thank you, for coming back...For being here, truly."
Loki's calm demeanor nearly dropped with that, not having expected something like that from his brother. It broke his heart again, just as before when Thor first broke down, that Thor didn't believe he would come back home to him until Loki proved him wrong.
"Thor...brother," Loki started, and now it was his turn, as he let go of Thor's hands, and wrapped his arms around the other again, his face against his shoulder. "I know, I'm sorry." He let out a long shaky breath.
Loki let himself be held by Thor, giving the other the support back that he knew he needed. Again, no words were said between them, just taking comfort of the other's presence in their arms.
Loki was the first to pull back again, not fully, keeping contact with Thor with his hands gently holding on his arms. "Thor, listen to me," He said, looking straight into Thor's eye. "You...you really are the strongest person I know." He started, his eyes softening. "You always have been, our whole lives. Through our thick and thin, you always came out stronger, better, more knowledgeable. It's okay, that you cried, brother. I don't look at you any differently, literally and figuratively.
"But you..you've survived this mess. You're here, standing with me now. After the loss of our father, after the loss of our planet, you're here. Ready to continue moving forward, and take a lost people to find a new home." Loki said, wiping away a tear on Thor's face that fell, until he rested that hand against Thor's neck, much like what Thor always did to him. He brought them closer, resting his forehead against his brother's. "I'm so proud of you." He said quieter.
Thor only sniffled again, not knowing what to say to Loki's little speech to him. It warmed his heart, it made him realized just how far apart he and Loki had strayed from each other, that Loki hasn't been this brutally honest with him in probably decades. He missed this Loki, his brother who he'd grown up beside, the one that his heart felt an infinite amount of love for.
"I promise I'll stay by your side." Loki continued, when Thor didn't say anything in response, lifting his head from Thor's. "You're, well.. We're the only ones we have left, brother." He said, with a breath of a chuckle, giving a sad smile, his own heart aching. "I know I can't tell you yet all that's happened to me, but if you need it, I'll be there for you again, I'll be your support, just like I am now."
"Loki, thank you..." Thor said again. This really felt like a brand new start for them. Along with everything else in their life, it was a blank slate, ready to be forged anew. Loki was ready to stay by Thor's side permanently, it seemed, all his previous rage and jealousy towards Thor gone, and replaced with support and encouragement. It also seemed like Thor wasn't the only one who had changed over the years. "I've missed you."
"And you as well." Loki replied. "Let's forget the past," He suggested. He didn't mean it in a completely literal way, but in terms of their rocky relationship the past few years. Especially their time on Sakaar, where things had been especially ugly between each other, and betrayal came around to both of them, using the other for their own gain, "and forge a new future, yes?" Loki asked, giving him a hopeful smile.
"Agreed." Thor said. He felt better now, after letting out a bit of a cry, overwhelmed with his emotions at the time, and having this small, yet meaningful chat with Loki. He knew there were many more things left unsaid between them, actions left hanging with no apologies or explanations, but they will most likely come at a later date. Loki had promised to stay, and Thor believed him. His brother never took his promises lightly, and whenever he made them, he meant and followed through with them.
"I love you, little brother." Thor said, leaning in to give Loki a kiss on the crown of his head.
"And I love you, Thor." Loki responded. "Never doubt it."

IMPORTANT NOTES:
Bold Text = Loki's POV
Normal Text = Iona’s POV
_________________________________
Iona grumbled to herself while she carried the dusty old books to the dungeons.
"Take the books to the prince. Take the wine...take the damned raudrberries. They're his favourite! As if there's nothing better for me to do. Norns, I sometimes despise this station. This wasn’t why I had become the queen’s lady-in-waiting.”
The magical garb provided by the queen protected her, so she didn't bother about keeping her volume low. At least she could air her frustrations this way before reaching her destination, which was bound to annoy her to no end.
When she reached the prince's cell, she stepped in through the one-way magical barrier and dumped the books onto his table without so much as a greeting to him.
"The queen sent these for you," she stated primly, looking down her nose at Loki.
She didn't even hide the disdain in her voice this time around. He was a disgraced royal now; he had no one’s favour save for the queen’s. And that certainly didn’t shield him from Iona’s burning contempt.
"If his royal highness needs anything, he may tell me. Though, I don't guarantee that it will be delivered to you.”
She smirked as he turned to glare at her.
“Ah, Iona. So lovely to see you again,” Loki growled sarcastically as he lounged on the divan, returning to the book he had been reading...though why he should continue to entertain himself with THAT now that she was here…
“Anything new in the outside world? Perhaps a death, or a coup, or a sneaky little minx that might accidentally cause my release?” He smirked and watched for her reaction.
She laughed acerbically at his insinuation.
"Oh please. As if releasing you will do anyone any favours. I happen to think that you're finally in a place where you belong," she quipped, sniffing haughtily, knowing that he hated seeing her act like this. "Though the queen, bless her sweet heart, has a soft spot for you the size of the Yggdrasil, even she won't think of doing it, I believe. She knows that her son is a walking, talking bad influence, an inglorious wretch."
“Ooooh ‘inglorious wretch.’ Look at you, learning new insults. How long have you been waiting to call me THAT one, sweetling?” Loki stood, eyes still locked on her as he brought himself to his full height, intentionally becoming as intimidating as possible. He stared her down as he walked slowly towards her, taking long and languorous steps, almost panther-like.
“You’d know all about how bad of an influence I can be, won’t you, Iona? And since no one but my mother--who you already know is wrapped around my finger--knows you’re here… and no one outside can see anything unusual happening in this--” he waved his hand dismissively at the space around him “-- luxuriously accommodated fish bowl--” he bent down, nose to nose, daring her to flinch. “Perhaps you best watch your tone, girl.”
Iona tried her best to stand her ground, even though his proximity was unsettling. Damn him and his intimidation tactics.
"The queen may be bent on spoiling you, but she's not blind to your deeds, my prince," she said defiantly, placing a hand on his chest to push him back. The touch somehow felt more charged than it ought to; still, she persisted.
"But go ahead, deliver more empty threats. I'm really terrified."
She stared back at him in challenge, knowing full well that he was sentenced to spend the rest of his life here in the dungeons. There was nothing he actually could do.
And even when he was free, he couldn’t do much, for he knew the immunity she enjoyed under the queen’s protection. Hence, his threats of harm were almost always empty…
Loki half-smiled at her retort.
“I’m sure,” he purred, not moving an inch at her attempt to shove him back. “But a little terror--” he leaned closer, still focused on keeping her gaze firmly on his “--can add a bit of excitement to an otherwise dreary existence, can it not?”
His whole body pushed forward, forcing her back until she was pressed against the cell’s wall, and he chuckled from a very deep place in his chest. He tilted his head slightly to the side, watching her closely. “What kind of terror have you imagined I’m capable of, little one? I’ve attempted to destroy whole realms. I’ve nearly killed the mighty Thor on several occasions. I’ve survived more horrors than you could imagine…what can you do to resist me, you small, delicate little thing?”
He put a hostile finger under her chin, lifting her face to align with his.
"I'm not delicate," she fumed, nudging his finger away. "And you've listed the precise reasons why you'll never escape this prison. Being born a prince is no accomplishment."
His eyes seemed to glow in anger at her words, and finally, she tried to slip away sideways against the wall to escape their intensity. It didn’t work, for he blocked her by putting his palms against the wall on either side of her.
Loki had always unsettled her with his strange, predatory mannerisms, but she wasn't a simpering girl. She had learned to deal with him over the years.
"You'd also do well to remember that I'm a lady, a noblewoman. Your threats can land you in even more trouble than you're already in."
“Define ‘more,’” he chuckled, finally backing away and laying back down in the divan, his legs spread obscenely wide. “You may be a lady, but I am a prince. Despite my transgressions. I outrank you.”
He noticed her gaze gravitating towards his spread legs, especially lingering on his crotch. That reaction from her alone made him feel quite smug about his physicality.
“Besides,” he said, stretching himself across the cushions of the furniture he’d chosen to support his lean frame in the most sexually seductive way he could manage. “It’s not my ambition that concerns me. It’s yours, your ladyship.” He grinned, wrapping his hand behind his head. “How long have we known each other, Iona? How long have you been desperate to become more than a ‘handmaiden to the Queen’?”
His emerald eyes remained hooded as he settled back on his lounge.
“How many ages has it been since you decided you wanted to be a ‘princess’? And what, sweet girl, would you be willing to do for that title?”
She blanched at his insinuation, grasping the folds of her dress in consternation. How dare he!
It was true that she had been trained by her mother, since childhood, to somehow grow close to the royalty. Getting closer to the princes, in particular, had meant that one of them would eventually take interest in her.
However, that didn’t quite work out the way her ambitious parents had expected it.
Iona had not gotten along with Loki right from the start, for he had always managed to play some sort of mischief or trick on her. She didn’t think him unattractive--it was hard to miss his striking features--but she did think him utterly obnoxious. The obnoxiousness eclipsed the beauty in his case.
Hence, Thor had been the only other option. Honestly, Thor wasn't the kind of man that usually attracted her, but still, she had tried her best to attract him in the past. And she had been unsuccessful in her endeavour.
Loki knew all about that. And hence, he was now taunting her.
"I'm after nothing, my prince. I aim to serve the queen, that's all," she lied, trying to regain her composure in front of the infuriating man. "You're trying to stir an empty pot."
He smirked.
“Aha...” was his only response. God of Lies that he was, her charade merely amused him. And, now that he was facing an eternity of the same four walls, any amusement was gold.
“Well then. Best be on your way, to serve your queen.” He waited to see if she had more to say before departing… he certainly had a final word to give her, if she’d indulge him…
"Don't think to command me, fallen prince, I'm not your lady-in-waiting," she stated stiffly, her anger with him bubbling over in her words. "And as I said, do tell me what all you want. I'll relay it to the queen so that she can move ahead in her endeavour to spoil you rotten."
Loki settled deeper into the divan, leaving his legs spread as wide as he could. “Dear, if I were to tell you what I truly want, you would run from here, blushing like a virgin maiden. And despite your--” his hand circled in the air, as though he were trying to find the right words “-- insistence that my desires are those of a spoiled boy, I’m certain the queen would hardly be surprised by my… exotic tastes.”
Suddenly, his expression changed from one that was lax and disinterested to one that was challenging and feral.
“And what I want, the queen certainly can’t give me. That, little one, is solely up to you.”
He sat up, never breaking their intense eye contact.
“I admire your ambition, Iona. To become more than you were meant to be. To ruthlessly pursue what you want. You understand that drive; can you honestly judge me for making the attempt?” He stared at her, hard, awaiting her response.
Norns, the incorrigible man was pretending to be suggestive with her now… perhaps thinking that she’d be flustered.
She knew that this was all merely posturing on his part...
"I haven't any inkling of what you mean, Loki, for you and I are hardly comparable creatures," she said, deliberately taking his name this time, wanting to annoy him in turn with her impertinence. "But I do know that I haven't got the whole day to spend here. I'd rather do something much more engaging. This conversation is boring me to sleep."
She rolled her eyes at him and pretended to yawn.
"If that's all, and if you have no other requests to make, I'll be taking my leave."
“If that’s all...then I suppose that’s all.”
He smiled knowingly, picked up his book, and proceeded to completely ignore her.
She rolled her eyes again and then left in a huff, muttering to herself about the annoying jobs that the queen kept giving her. Why couldn’t she give this particular task to someone else? Why only her?
As she left… he checked out her ass--presented so well in that form hugging fabric of her dress. He wondered what it looked like under that flowing dress of hers. Perhaps, someday, he’d have a chance to find out...
To be honest, the girl was pretty enough, and he wasn’t averse to the idea of seeking pleasure between her willowy legs. Truth be told, her scathing wit was quite arousing… for nothing aroused Loki more than a sharp mind.
However, her transgressions against him were ever increasing, and hence, Loki also wished for a bit of revenge...
-----
It wasn’t long after that that Thor brought his ailing mortal--Jane Foster--back to Asgard. She was possessed of the Aether, and targeted by the Dark Elves--long thought to be extinct by Asgard. They attacked the palace, led by Malekith, and in the battle, Odin was slain.
Thor and Loki forged a tentative alliance to save Jane and rid the universe of the Dark Elf threat.
Finally, after a risky battle, the brothers triumphed, saving Jane, defeating Malekith, and containing the Aether.
In their efforts together, Loki and Thor came to understand each other much better than before. And this was how Thor revealed to Loki that he truly wanted to stay on Midgard.
And Loki, gladly, accepted the throne of Asgard.

Ficlet Prompt: Brodinsons, Post-Ragnarok. Thor and Loki having to share a bed and getting annoyed with the other's sleeping habits. Sibling hijinks ensues! :3 (some normal, some magical :D)
I had a lot of adorable fun with this one. Ignore my questionable biology re: allergies and fake gravity. Thank you for the prompt, @ms-aqua-marvella!
Word count: 1644
_____
Loki would be horrified if he knew, but norns, he was snoring.
It had been centuries since they’d shared a bed, so Thor had forgotten all of Loki’s unconscious little quirks. He’d especially forgotten that, when Loki traveled by airship for long distances, he snored when he slept.
He never snored at home, or anywhere else as far as Thor knew. It was just that something in the artificial gravity on board spacecrafts disagreed with Loki’s constitution, made it hard for him to breathe properly.
It was simply one of those things, or so they’d always thought. Some Aesir were intolerant of specific berries and could not eat them without breaking out in a rash. Others found it difficult to breathe in the springtime, when fresh flowers bloomed and pollen drenched the air.
There was no real reason. Eir simply said that biology worked that way sometimes. Neither Thor nor Loki gave it much more thought.
Now, though, Thor had to wonder if it had something to do with Loki’s being Jotun.
It was not a question he could ever ask.
Thor sighed and rolled onto his side, facing his brother. Usually, their roles were reversed: in the days that followed Ragnarok, as they existed on this massive ship with its tiny, cramped cabins, Thor would spend his time trying to be in several places at once.
There was so much to do and, each night, Thor would drop into bed thoroughly exhausted; he’d be asleep practically before his head hit the pillow.
Loki, on the other hand, slept very little. He made himself scarce during the day and in the evenings, he spent more time reading or practicing spells than he did in their bed. Thor only knew this because, without fail, each time Thor woke up in the middle of the night for one reason or another, Loki was always awake and occupied with something.
Tonight, Thor couldn’t remember what had woken him - if he’d ever managed to fall asleep at all. There was an odd restlessness in his bones, an itch to be up and moving and working. Anxiety-driven, most likely. That happened sometimes.
At some point, Loki had climbed into their bed and fallen asleep, and now as Thor watched him, listening to the soft purr of his snores, he had to reflect that never did Loki look younger or more peaceful than when he slept. The years and his troubles simply fell away.
He slept on his side, somewhat curled up, hugging his pillow. His black hair obscured part of his face, and his chest rose and fell gently. Thor had a sharp memory, then, of a little boy with the same dark hair, curled up beside Thor in bed; it felt like yesterday, and it made tears spring to Thor’s eye because they were not those children anymore and would never know such innocence again.
To distract himself, Thor reached out and nudged Loki’s shoulder. “Loki,” he whispered.
Loki didn’t move.
“Loki,” Thor said, louder this time. He nudged Loki again.
Loki stirred a little, blinking sleepily at Thor. “What,” he murmured. “What’s wrong.”
“You’re snoring,” Thor informed him, with yet another nudge. “It’s keeping me up.”
“I don’t snore.” The words were automatic, and even mostly asleep, Loki sounded offended. “Leave me alone.”
“You do snore,” Thor continued. “On ships, remember? You always have. You’ve not outgrown your allergy.”
“My allergy to what? Spaceships?” Loki groaned and rolled onto his back. He rubbed his eyes.
“No, to artificial gravity. Don’t tell me you’ve forgotten.”
Loki frowned, and then yawned. “Oh, that.”
Thor waited, but Loki didn’t elaborate further. His eyelids were already drooping; he was already finished with the conversation, ready to doze off again.
Thor should have let him sleep - Loki did not sleep nearly enough - but the idea of spending even one more minute staring into the darkness, restless and awake, made Thor’s skin itch.
He didn’t want to be alone.
“Hey.” Thor poked Loki’s arm. “Has it been bothering you? The gravity? Have you been feeling unwell?”
“No.” Loki’s eyes drifted closed.
“You would tell me, right?”
“Mhm.”
It took less than a minute for Loki’s breathing to even out as he fell asleep again. Thor propped his head up on his elbow, watching his brother, and waiting. Sure enough, after a few minutes, the soft snoring started again.
“Loki.” Thor nudged him hard, and Loki woke with a jolt.
“What?” Loki batted Thor’s hand away. “What do you want now?”
“You’re snoring again.”
“I am not - but, if I were, clearly it’s because I can’t help it.” Loki’s green-eyed gaze slid over to Thor; somehow, he managed to give Thor a look that was both withering and adorably sleepy. “You’re welcome to sleep elsewhere, if you’re so bothered,” he added.
“Me?” Thor squeaked. “Why should I be the one to leave? If anything, you should sleep elsewhere.”
“Why? My alleged snoring isn’t bothering me.”
Thor groaned. He flopped over onto his stomach, pulling his pillow to his chest and using it to prop himself up. “You are the most impossible brother,” he said.
“You’re the one waking me up at norns o’clock in the morning to nag me.” Loki turned onto his side, barely lifting his head from his own pillow. “Don’t talk to me about impossible brothers.”
“Fine, fine.” Thor shook his head and then let out a snort of laughter. “I feel like we’re children again,” he went on. “At least you aren’t kicking me in your sleep. You used to do that.”
“Only to get you off of me,” Loki returned. He closed his eyes again, but seemed to be more or less awake now, which pleased Thor. “You’re a sleep cuddler. Treated me like a stuffed animal companion.”
“You liked it,” Thor said with a grin.
Loki made a face. “I most certainly did not. You took up too much space. You suffocated me. I’m lucky to have made it to adolescence alive and in one piece, as a matter of fact.”
“Alive and in one piece, but certainly dramatic as all hell,” Thor retorted. “A trait that has persisted through adulthood, I might add.”
Opening his eyes, Loki flashed an unexpected grin. “Yeah,” he agreed. He looked over at Thor and then, as if on cue, they both started giggling.
Oh, how Thor had missed this. He had not even realized how much he missed it - there had not been time to realize how deeply he felt not just the loss of Loki, but the loss of Loki-and-Thor, the single unit they’d been for so many centuries.
Everything had been so chaotic since that ill-fated venture to Jotunheim. A millennium of life could not have prepared Thor and Loki for the worst ten years they’d ever have to face. There had been banishment. There had been death. There had been untold loss and so many lies that truth became more of a concept than something real to hold onto.
All culminating in Ragnarok - the end of the world.
Now, here they were on the other side. Laying close in this small bed aboard a drifting ship. “How did we get here?” Thor wondered aloud. “You and I.”
Loki made a show of pulling his pillow over his head. “Don’t get philosophical on me now, brother.” His voice was muffled, and a moment later he tossed the pillow aside. “Does it matter? We’re here now.”
“I suppose.” Thor reached for Loki’s discarded pillow and tucked it under his own.
“Hey,” Loki protested.
“Sorry, did you want this?” Thor hugged both pillows, pressing his face into the soft cotton. “Mm. So comfy.”
Loki scowled; a moment later, both pillows abruptly vanished into thin air. Thor’s head dropped to the mattress and he let out a little yelp of sheer surprise.
Loki waved his hand. The pillows reappeared under his own head. He made a show of fluffing them up, then arched an eyebrow at Thor. “Oh, sorry, did you want these?”
“Worst brother ever,” Thor grumbled.
“Best brother ever,” Loki corrected. “You love me.”
“Yeah, but I don’t like you very much.”
Loki laughed at that, reaching out and kicking Thor’s ribs with his bare foot. “Ass.”
Thor smiled at him and adjusted his position. He edged closer to Loki and settled his own head onto the pillows, shoving Loki - gently - aside to make room. “If you wanted to cuddle, brother, all you had to do was ask,” he remarked as he settled in.
“Yes, but subterfuge is much more my specialty,” Loki said. His words were accompanied by an eyeroll, but he didn’t protest Thor sharing the pillows. Perhaps, he felt a little nostalgic, too. “Now, are you going to let me get some sleep or not?”
“Only if you stop snoring.”
“For the last time, I do not snore.”
Thor reached for the blankets and pulled them up around his shoulders, making sure to tuck Loki in, too. “Yes, you do. But I’ll try not to hold it against you.” In fact, Thor was feeling much sleepier than he had before. The restlessness had eased from him without his even realizing it. Loki had that sort of soothing effect.
“Good, because if you wake me up again, I’ll turn you into a frog.”
“I dare you to try.”
Loki smirked and reached out. Green seidr flickered at his fingertips and, despite himself, Thor shrank back a bit, which made Loki look immensely pleased with himself. He wiggled his fingers, the light fading away. Then he turned onto his side and - to Thor’s surprise - laid his head on Thor’s shoulder.
“Goodnight, Thor,” Loki said, his breath ghosting along Thor’s collarbone.
Thor smiled. He patted Loki’s hair, just like he used to do when they were children. Then he settled in and wrapped his arm protectively around his brother. “Goodnight, Loki.”

fic rec meme: 2019 edition
Rules: Post links (Ao3, ff.net, etc.); specify fandom/pairing/etc; don’t answer the same fic twice - spread the appreciation; tag other people; you don’t have to answer all the questions, but leave them in the list so the next person can answer if they want.
I was tagged by I think a couple people - @aphrodaisyacs and @aninfinitenumberofmonkeys. I’m going to try to keep this pretty short because I have a tendency to go on and then not finish these kinds of things because I overwhelm myself.
I also cheated a bit on a few (a lot) of these because I read a lot of really good fic this year. And tried to include some recs I haven’t seen from others in my circle/fics I don’t see recced that often (though that’s not true of all of them).
I also shuffled things around so I didn’t repeat them, though a lot of these could be included in more than one category.
1. Favourite complete fic you’ve read this month (multiple chapters/parts): I did not read a single complete multichapter fic this month. Meant to, but didn’t do it.
2. Favourite complete fic you’ve read this month (one-shot): The mirror has a mirror in its teeth by deadendtracks. Peaky Blinders, Tommy/Lizzie, messy as hell in the way that I love.
3. Favourite WIP you’ve read this month: But I’ve read so many good WIPs this month. I’ll go with Contraction by NamelessDragon, MCU, Loki/Bucky, sequel to Compression (also amazing), which I’m finally catching up on after being stuck on reading almost everything for months.
4. One fic/series you’ve read which you keep coming back to again and again: (those yesterdays bleeding through by wnnbdarklord (MCU, time loop set during The Dark World) comes to mind, as, of course, does Bargaining by proantagonist (alas! for its vanishing), but to pick one that kept coming up this year I’m going to have to go with the nine in the tree by bereft_of_frogs, MCU, Thor & Loki-centric, post-Ragnarok AU.
5. Most underrated fic you’ve read this year: It feels like cheating to do this for a small book fandom, but you know what? My small book fandoms deserve more love. Based on lowest kudos I’m going to go with that he on dry land loveliest liveth by skyvehicle, Lymond Chronicles, post-Pawn in Frankincense.
6. Most underrated fic you’ve read EVER: God, I don’t know. Again, it would be a small book fandom. You know? Because it deserves it and I love it and it probably is the most underrated fic, if only because it’s in a tiny fandom - In Memoriam by Tedronai, Malazan: Book of the Fallen, I love grief/mourning fic.
7. Favourite whump/angst fic of the year: This was tough since this is the genre I read most of in general, but because I managed to get a lot of fics on here via other categories, I’m choosing Into the earth I trampled it down by deadendtracks, Peaky Blinders, grief/mourning featuring Polly and Tommy. This fic was ouch all around, and beautifully written, and excellently characterized, and just...well, I’m clearly going to be reading everything that deadendtracks writes from here on out.
But I’m also going to slide In Cold Blood by NamelessDragon (MCU, Loki & Bucky, canon divergence AU) on here too, because it just updated and it really is fantastic, and I am so excited for more. It has all my favorite tropes written all over it, and promises some truly excellent whump based on the writer’s history.
8. Favourite hurt/comfort fic of the year: Again, a category with a lot of faves, but I settled on Walked In These Quiet Hazes by ratsats, MCU, AU where Loki comes back from the dead and is majorly fucked up, as is most everyone else. It’s rough, and it’s beautiful. And calling it “hurt/comfort” is probably...well, it takes a while to get to the comfort, I can say that, but it’s worth it.
9. Favourite fluff fic of the year: Did I. Did I read any fluff this year? I suppose some of the Good Omens fic I read probably qualifies, though it doesn’t feel like fluff to me so much as...comedy? Wait, I’ve got one: Love Wounds Me With Soft Pillows by verbaepuchellae, Lymond Chronicles, Francis/Philippa, post-Checkmate.
Oh yes, after I wrote this I found another one: such surpassing brightness by Handful_of_Silence, Good Omens, Crowley/Aziraphale. Beautifully inventive, and fits into a very specific genre I can’t get enough of.
11. Favourite smut fic of the year: Shockingly, I didn’t read a lot of smut this year. I’m going to go with The Beast That Chose It’s Own Bridle by thespectaclesofthor, Doctrine of Labyrinths, Felix/Murtagh, post-series, (less than) kink negotiation, WIP.
Oh, and also Chains of Gold by Anonymous, Lymond Chronicles, Lymond/Gabriel, hoo boy. My glorious Lymond/Gabriel fic I received for Yuletide. I can’t wait to find out who wrote it so I can lie down on their doorstep and beg for them to write more like this.
10. Favourite gen fic of the year: The Thanos Problem by Ranowa, MCU, post-Ragnarok AU. Okay, this is technically a series, so sue me. I especially liked When the Hammer Falls.
12. Favourite fix-it fic of the year/ever: This might be the hardest one. I read a lot of fix-it fic this year. I wonder why. I’m going with “the year” because otherwise it is just far too overwhelming and I couldn’t choose.
After a lot of debate with myself, and by eliminating other fic by virtue of sliding it into other categories, I settled on two: the only soul I’ve ever saved by valkyrisms, MCU, Loki survives Infinity War fix-it. I overall got pretty quickly annoyed with the genre of Loki-and-Peter Parker fics, but this one was just...so good. The Peter voice was amazing, the working with Loki’s Jotun biology as part of the whump was inspired, it was well written as all of valkyrisms work is, and just...so good.
The other (I told you I was cheating!) is Keep It In Your Sights Now by LuckyDiceKirby, Shades of Magic, Lila/Kell/Holland, fix-it fic. I needed this fic in two ways - the threesome it involves, and the fix-it it involves. Delivered on both.
13. Favourite crack-fic fic of the year: I really don’t read crack-fic anymore.
14. Favourite sick-fic this year: Castaway by ariaadagio, Lucifer, Chloe/Lucifer, is me cheating again because “sick-fic” it is only loosely, but I want to include it because it was very good. Though I think technically I reread it this year. Apparently I didn’t read much sick-fic? Weird.
15. Favourite kid-fic this year: Another thing I don’t read very often, and apparently this year (at least based on my bookmarks) don’t have a rec for.
15. Fic this year which you didn’t expect to love as much as you do:  Demonology and the Tri-Phasic Model of Trauma: An Integrative Approach by Nnm, Good Omens, therapy fic. Okay, so, in premise and everything this did have “me” written all over it. But I certainly didn’t expect to find it, and I definitely didn’t expect it to be as good as it was, right down to making me love an OC (which is rare).
16. Fic which convinced you to ship a pairing: This is cheating because technically it was another fic on this list, but since I wouldn’t ship it without it I’m going to rec As much what it is as what it’s not by deadendtracks, Peaky Blinders, Tommy/Lizzie.
17. Favourite AU you’ve read this year: I slid some of my fix-it fics over here, because canon divergence AUs are my jam and maybe that wasn’t the intent of this question but I don’t care.
After some debate with myself, and rereading several favorites, I’m settling on my fearful trip is done by valkyrisms, MCU, the one where Steve runs into an unexpected child of Thanos in Wakanda. It’s real good, you guys. And yes, this does mean that I’ve put two valkyrisms fics on this list and I’m not sorry.
18. Longest fic/series you’ve read this year: This one’s easy! Eden!verse by ImprobableDreams900, Good Omens, Crowley/Aziraphale, the first fic in the series made me cry more than anything I’ve read in years.
19. The last fic you’ve read: The last new fic I read, since I reread a bunch of new things on this list while I was sorting through what I was going to choose, was to prove they are not dead by alreadybroken.
20. Wildcard fic you haven’t mentioned but deserves a shout-out + why: I waffled back and forth between two fics and what the hell, you know what, I’m going with both. The first is Miles to Go by josiepug, Peaky Blinders, which satisfied my desperate Tommy whump itch (for a time, it’s back now); the second is Where Is the Power That Made Your Pride? by Drag0nst0rm, The Silmarillion, aka the one where Celegorm lives and things are still bad. Not an AU I knew I wanted, but I guess I’m not surprised.
Bonus Category:
Best horror fic: dark underground//violent sky by bereft_of_frogs, MCU, I can’t tell you more than that because it would spoil it. I love horror fic and I have missed it since leaving Supernatural fandom. This one scratched that itch and I’m still thinking about it. Maybe it’s time for a reread.
As usual, I’m sure I’ve missed/forgotten some faves. I always do.
I...lord, I feel like most of the people I’d usually tag have already been tagged for this? If you’re a mutual of mine and you haven’t been, go for it! I’m always excited to see more recs.

Book review: “LOKI - Where Mischief lies”
Alright, my lovelies. I read it. I read this marvellous book called “LOKI – Where Mischief Lies” by Mackenzi Lee and I loved every single page. It made me cry and scream and gasp and squeal, and I have to talk about it with you guys. Before you read on, beware of spoilers though.
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that I thought that reading this novel was like reading a fanfiction. When Odin banished Amora to Earth in Chapter 6, I swear to Loki, it was exactly like a fanfiction I once read.
There is so much canon information to work with. Seriously; that was my first thought. This novel confirmed Loki is pansexual because on Asgard, just like we thought, it doesn’t matter whom you love as long as you’re being genuine about it. And Loki is genderfluid. Canonically now. He literally said ”I don’t change my gender. I exist as both.” and the fact that in the novel, he is not willing to accept the concept of being feminine as a man or masculine as a woman being allegedly bad within society, or that certain things like painting your nails and wearing high shoes is something only the female gender should do, is prodigious. Guys. Loki painted his nails black when he was young. I’m in love.
This novel gave us such a perfect insight as to what Loki was like when he was young. The novel takes places roughly two centuries before the first Thor movie (as Odin declares Thor would become his heir in the end) and it proved singlehandedly that Loki (surprise surprise) was never evil has always been misunderstood. It literally states that Thor’s “warrior friends” (e.g. Fandral, Volstagg and Sif, etc.) didn’t want anything to do with him and that out of the two, Thor was the spineless one for the most part. I mean… blaming Loki alone for their failure in Alfheim? Buh, you whore. And Odin… well, Odin has always been a jerk but that’s been canon for a while anyway.
And then all the little details! The concept of there being little to no magic on Earth and your powers being drained from you if you spend too much time there is fascinating and it raises a particularly important question—with Asgard destroyed, what will Loki do? But then again, he has the Tesseract. He can go anywhere he pleases.
Did you notice Mackenzi mentioned more than once that Loki never freezes? That the amount of that blackout powder Theo had to use on him to render him unconscious when he arrived on Earth was strong enough to knock out a Frost Giant?
Oh and now we know that up until the 19th century, at the very least, Loki didn’t know who Shakespeare was. He didn’t know what dogs are, he’s a sweet tooth (though we already knew that thanks to the Junior Novelisation of Thor Ragnarok) and he likes coffee! For some peculiar reason, I’ve always wondered if Loki would like the black brew. He’d either love or loathe it. Now I’m glad I finally know the answer.
Back when he was young, Loki was pretty shy when in love. He did not dare kiss Amora for a long time and rest assured I screamed when he asked her. Loki was soft. He didn’t understand why the nine realms were so against him and why there is “something about him that makes people not trust him”. I dare say that the softness which we see glimpses of in the first Thor movie is not gone. Loki is still soft, especially when in love. I do think he is more farouche now, though. More dominant and hence even more restrained than he already was. Amora ceased to be Loki’s true friend when she turned hysterical and tried to kill him for her own benefit. As for Theo… he had already made up his mind about Loki when he read the myths which Loki wasn’t even aware of until he grabbed that book himself but at least Theo came round. Oh and Loki did like him. Because of his past, which this novel confirms, I think it’d be hard for him to believe that somebody would truly accept, like or love him just the way he is and I love how this plays right into my own Imagines which I’ve written in the past.
Anyway, my personal theory is that Amora is not truly dead. She was swept away by the force of the strong airflow more dead than alive when she let go (writing this I realised Loki attempted the same kind of suicide Amora did… oh my God…) but I highly doubt she died. Mind you she was strong enough to destroy the Godseye Mirror with Loki and drew life force from humans to survive on Earth. What does that mean? Could she possibly make an appearance in the Loki series? In the next novel? At this point, anything is possible. And what about Theo? I remember Loki’s “This day, the next, a hundred years, it’s nothing. It’s a heartbeat. You’ll never be ready.” Loki lied to him because he had to. He couldn’t have brought him to Asgard if he wanted to and he also couldn’t stay on Midgard with him. He knew it’d be so damn hard for him, an Asgardian (since he didn’t know he was a Frost Giant) and a human to be in love. Loki knew that when he told Thor to say goodbye in TDW. Odin would not have allowed Theo on Asgard, especially not if Loki asked. He even compared Thor’s (ex-)girlfriend Jane to a goat when he brought her.
So what did Theo do after? If you read the book, you’ll know that Loki discussed the SHARP Society’s name with him and Loki… Loki suggested SHIELD. I mean…?! Did Loki influence the foundation of SHIELD? Is that what Theo did with his life after Loki had gone?
Last but not least, Odin’s and Loki’s conversation at the end broke my heart. I thought having to witness Odin telling Loki that his birth right was to die was bad but apparently, there is worse:
“The only truth with which you need concern yourself,” Odin said, “is that any man who sticks his hand into a fire will be burned. You have disappointed me greatly today, my son.”
“As opposed to what, exactly?” The vehemence of his own voice surprised him. Before he knew what he was doing, before he had truly considered it, he mounted the stairs and walked up to the throne, uninvited, and faced his father. “You have never given me a reason to believe you were anything but disappointed with me since the day I was born.”
Odin shook his head. “You do not give me reason to show you anything but that.”
“I have done terrible things, but you let me be nothing but those things. Tell me, Father, do you think me evil? Do you think me monstrous?” He spread his arms. “Did you need a villain and I was available? Someone to make Thor look prettier than he is so that when you give him the throne, everyone will be willing to overlook the thousands he’s slaughtered in the name of peace and Asgard?”
“Enough!” Odin roared, […].
I was a sobbing mess. Now tell me if Loki ever had a choice not to be selfish. Who else is going to think about him, consider his opinion and take care of him if he doesn’t do it himself? That he decides to “become the witch and know everything”? And in spite of it all… I am soft for how much he still loves his brother. Mind you, the (actually deleted) scene from the first Thor movie in which Loki tells Thor that he’s looked forward to this day as long as he had, is yet to come. “My brother. My friend. Sometimes I’m envious… but never doubt I love you.” or what he told the Warriors Three after his banishment: “I love Thor more dearly than any of you but you know what he is.” Yes, he led some Frost Giants the way into Asgard to “protect the realm from his idiotic rule for a while longer” (thank God he did, Loki was right, Asgard would have drowned in chaos—not Loki’s kind of chaos but bad chaos) but I don’t doubt the sincerity of his words to Thor before his almost-coronation.
Yet to come is also the revelation that he’s a Frost Giant, for him to find out why he never stood a chance against Odin’s constant disappointment. I should have known from the beginning it was him who took the Norn Stones. For himself. Loki is so relatable it physically hurts.
He didn’t just snap when his whole world fell apart that day. This novel proved that it was only the tip of the iceberg; like a tiny pebble removed from a mountain made of rocks, causing it to collapse.
I am definitely going to read this novel again. It’s incredibly inspiring for Imagines (I’ve already got a pretty angsty Imagine planned based on Loki’s adventures and I’ll make sure to work that in between all the Halloween requests I received) and I am desperate for more details. Mackenzi has to write the next one ASAP.

Loki x Fem! Reader - First Impressions
Tumblr media
Holy cow, two fics in one weekend. Thought I would write something as a thank you for all the love I have received on my last fic, as well as a thanks to my followers!
Summary: The reader is a former SHIELD Agent and now an employee for Stark industries. You work in the Avengers Facility and meet the newest member of the Avengers, Loki Laufeyson, a now “reformed” villain.
Set in an AU where Loki is part of the Avengers as part of an agreement for the Asgardians to settle in part of Norway. Post Thor-Ragnarok.
Word Count:  1,311
Warnings: Language
The incredibly wise Bruce Lee had once stated: “the most dangerous person is the one who listens, thinks and observes.” You had thought nothing of it, but now, in retrospect, you could see the truth behind that quote. Especially now that the only thing standing between you and probably one of the most dangerous persons on the Earth was a glass panel for the observation room.
You looked down at the large training room from your vantage point, you could see some of the Avengers training. To the normal eye, nothing seemed extraordinary, but you had been trained by SHIELD prior to its collapse, to spot anomalies. And this was one of them.
If someone did not recognize him on the street, they may have considered him to be an extremely attractive man, perhaps even a model. His dark raven hair was in soft waves and fell to his shoulders. His pale skin was smooth and flawless, with a complexion that many women would kill for. His sharp cheekbones and regal nose were accented by beautiful green eyes. You found your gaze examining him further to examine his athletic build. Compared to Thor, he would likely be considered an opposite, since it seemed nearly all Asgardians had bodies similar to bodybuilders. Loki however, despite not being overly muscular, you did not doubt that he had a more lean strength to him.
Not to mention, he was tall. Incredibly tall, towering over almost all of the Avengers.
But it wasn’t only his features that warned you of the danger of the Asgardian. It was the way he held himself, but also the way his emerald eyes flickered over his companions in an almost detached way. He was a natural observer, able to recognize underlying emotions, lies, and truths. It would appear that there was more to this God than mere magic tricks.
From what Maria Hill had told you, the God who had invaded New York all those years ago was no longer the same person. He was what Thor proclaimed to be a reformed villain, but not without flaws.
“Ready to meet your new partner?” Maria asked you, jerking you out of your stare to look at her in surprise.
“Sorry?”
“We’re working to get Loki more adjusted to working with different team members. You may not be an Avenger, but it will be good for the two of you to work together. You certainly have the experience with working undercover.” Maria explained nonchalantly, moving towards the door, without waiting for you to follow.
You stumbled after her, trying to desperately to shake off your shock. You were going to work with him? You were familiar with the Avengers members, but this, this was an entirely different ballgame.
“Ah, there is Lady Hill and Lady Y/L/N!” Thor proclaimed excitedly, causing the gazes in the room to shift towards you and Maria. You had to keep yourself from nervously fumbling with your hair at the attention. Instead, you settled for holding your hands behind your back. Knowing that you probably shouldn’t, you felt your gaze gravitate towards the other Asgardian in the room, whose sharp green eyes were already trained on you. For a moment, your heart was stuck in your throat and it felt like adrenaline was racing through your veins. He was dangerous, so incredibly dangerous from what you could tell from his stare alone, and yet, he was cool and composed. Were you the only one concerned about this?
Loki had noticed your stare and met your gaze unflinchingly. You were beautiful, at least in terms of Midgardian standards. From what Thor had said, Loki distinctly recalled that Thor had mentioned you were a former SHIELD agent before its demise. There was a special draw of danger that Loki could sense from you. Loki raised a single dark brow as you stared at him, tilting his head in mild interest.
You quickly looked away from Loki, having to remind yourself it was a terrible idea to stare at the Asgardian. You followed Maria to the ground floor of the training room, while Captain America ordered the Avengers to proceed with training.
You had just made it to the floor when a sudden movement caught your eye. You looked to your left in time to see Loki pull out his daggers in a smooth motion. He must have pulled them out from his sleeves you reasoned as you watched him swipe at Thor who had predicted the movement and blocked him quickly. He was fast, you realized as you tried to track his movements with your eyes. Loki moved efficiently, a trained fighter but with much more fluidity and grace compared to Thor. Thor, however, looked more panicked, at the idea that his brother may actually stab him.
According to Bruce Banner, that was a common occurrence between the two.
“Loki!” Captain America said sharply, enough to make Loki pause in his movements to glare at him. “Meet your new partner for the upcoming operation out of France. This is Y/N.”
Loki glanced at you rather nonchalantly as if uninterested and perhaps even bothered by the presence of another human. You couldn’t help but feel a little bit of annoyance at him, first with his careless attitude towards his fellow Avengers, and now you. However, Loki was rather curious about the former SHIELD Agent, and what made you so special that Stark would hire you.
“I’m Loki, you may have heard of me.” Loki stepped closer, flashing a pearly smile that certainly would have caused other females to blush and smile. His accent smoothly covering his words.
But not you, instead, your annoyance increased at his arrogance.
You clenched your fist, willing yourself to not hit him, to not invite further animosity between the two of you. The two of you would be working together, you had to be amicable. But Loki was a natural instigator, and read your signs of irritation easily which caused him to grin.
“Truly Thor, I thought she would have been much prettier.” Loki looked over at Thor and smirked.
You then proceeded to throw a right hook, watching with some sense of satisfaction as Loki was caught off guard. You were much faster than he had anticipated, and he stumbled back for a moment in surprise.
His green eyes darkened dangerously and you realized that hitting a God much taller than you may have not been your best move. But it sure as hell had been satisfying.
Loki could hardly believe that you dared to hit him, and while you were certainly a beautiful little thing, he was not about to let that go unpunished.
“You’re going to pay for that.” Loki spat, his gaze now zeroed in on you.
“Am I?” You grinned, trying to maintain a fearless face even though your heart thudded in anticipation and fear.
Loki launched himself at you without hesitation, his daggers drawn, and you, with daggers of your own. For a few moments, as the two of you exchanged blows, some of the Avengers were concerned about your safety. Finally, after you and Loki had managed to disarm each other, Thor reached in to separate the two of you.
You smiled as the God stumbled for a moment, before glaring at you with green eyes that flashed dangerously while he breathed heavily. “Honestly, I thought you would have been much stronger,” You taunted.
Loki frowned at you while Steve moved in to pull you away.
“First impressions matter,” Steve muttered. Loki couldn’t help but agree, although you had been an annoying little Midgardian, you had certainly proved your ability to withstand a challenge. And he hated to admit it, but he admired you for it.
Yes, the two of you would make excellent partners.
