The walk back to the school was quiet, all attempts at defending you and Regulus had been long abandoned. James’ grip on your forearm remained as he marched you away from the forest while Sirius refused to even look at you, choosing to glare ahead like James.
When you, Sirius, and James entered the common room, Remus, Lily, and Marlene looked up, all three caught off guard by the sight in front of them. None of them had seen James look as angry as he did, not in the seven years of knowing him. You, on the other hand, were stuck in his iron grip, your eyes cast downwards. They watched as James and Sirius made a move to take you up to the boys' dormitories, only stopping when Remus jumped up and blocked them.
“What the hell is going on?” Remus asked, his tall frame standing in front of the staircase, glancing between the two boys and you.
“We caught her out on a little date,” James responded, his upset expression unchanged.
“Why is that such a big deal? She’s sixteen, she’s allowed to go on dates, Prongs,” Remus said, confused.
“Well, she isn’t allowed to go on dates with my little brother!” Sirius exclaimed, his face twisted in anger.
Remus, Marlene, and Lily all paused, shock written across each of their faces.
“She was on a date with Regulus?” Lily asked from the couch.
“Yes!” James responded, his head turning towards the redhead.
“And in the Forbidden Forest too!” Sirius added.
“It was just a picnic,” You uttered.
“I’m pretty sure it was more than ‘just a picnic’ given that I saw Regulus on top of you,” Sirius argued.
“Regulus was on top of her?” Marlene asked, still shocked.
“It wasn’t like that! We were just kissing!” You said, a weak defense against the five seventeen-year-olds beginning to crowd around you.
“Oh, so Regulus pins your wrists down every time you two kiss?” Sirius asked bitterly.
“No-!”
“Well, then it seemed like more than ‘just a kiss’ to me!”
“You guys don’t understand!” You exclaimed.
“Well then help us understand,” Remus responded, trying to remain calm.
“I’m trying! Regulus and I were going on a picnic-” You started before swiftly getting interrupted.
“Why was it in the Forbidden Forest?” Sirius pestered.
“Because we knew you would freak if you saw- which we were right about!” You argued back.
“Anyways….?” Lily said, trying to draw the story out from you.
“And we were talking about books-” You said, trying to continue.
“I didn’t know talking about books involved lying on top of someone,” James muttered, hostility lacing his words
“Oh shush, James,” Marlene groaned.
“We were talking about books and then had a play fight over a strawberry and kissed. That’s it. Nothing more to it,” You finished.
“Still doesn’t explain why it was all with Regulus,” Sirius grumbled.
“Listen, Sirius, I get that you’re pissed off and I’m sorry for keeping it a secret, but I’m not sorry that it was with Regulus. I know he’s your brother but I really like him, Siri,” You said, looking up at the dark-haired boy.
“I just… I don’t get it. How’d this even happen?” Sirius asked, quieter this time.
“Potions- we, uh, we have potions together. And a few prefects rounds now and then,” You answered.
“Prefect rounds… Lily, did you put the two of them together for rounds? Cause I know I sure as hell didn’t,” James accused, turning towards the red-haired girl.
“No- James, you know the pairs are rotated, I didn’t put them together on purpose, it was bound to happen!” Lily exclaimed, stepping away from the group.
“Lily, none of this would’ve happened if they weren’t put on rounds together!”
“The pairs aren’t picked out by hand, I already told you it wasn’t intentional-”
“Dear Godric- will you guys stop fighting? James, listen, Regulus and I had classes together- we would’ve met regardless of if we were paired up for rounds or not, so don’t go blaming Lily for it,” You interrupted.
“Everyone, just stop. I just need to think.” Sirius said, waving you, Lily, Marlene, Remus, and James off as he walked up the stairs and into his dormitory.
“I’ll go talk to him,” Remus muttered, following the path of Sirius. James, who momentarily turned to glare at you, walked behind Remus.
Left in the common room with Lily and Marlene, you let out an exasperated huff as you watched the boys’ heads disappear up the stairs. Turning around, you saw the two older girls staring at you.
“What?” You asked, not oblivious to their curious expressions.
“How long has this been going on?” Lily asked quietly, Marlene leaning in slightly to hear the conversation.
You stayed silent for a moment, your gaze trailing down to the scuffed material of your shoes.
“A few months,” You said quietly, slight shame enveloping you as you felt the burning stares from Lily and Marlene.
“How many months?”
“Four.”
“Four months?!” Marlene exclaimed, a gasp leaving her mouth.
Your head turned to the side, avoiding the gaze of the two as you chewed on your bottom lip.
“Yeah, four months,” You repeated, looking everywhere but at the girls in front of you.
“Why didn’t you just tell us?” Lily asked, brows furrowed.
“You’re really gonna ask that after what just happened? Blimey, Lily, it’s a mess whatever I do. None of them are going to trust me again. They… they’re gonna do everything they can to keep me away from Regulus and there’s about nothing I can do about it,” You muttered, frustrated tears forming in your eyes.
“I need to be alone for a little while. I’ll see you later,” You said after a few moments of silence, raking your hands through your hair as you left for your dorm.
The sight of your bed was a welcoming sight, prompting you to kick off your shoes and flop down onto it. Despite it only being late afternoon, you were already exhausted from the stress of the day. It started off good, with you getting to be with Regulus, but it was quickly ruined by James and Sirius discovering the two of you.
Regulus.
The thought of him normally brought a wave of happiness, butterflies swarming in your stomach when you saw him. Right now, though, you felt everything but the pleasant fluttering in your stomach. It was more like there were moths inhabiting your body, covering whatever light that was once in your heart. It wasn’t because of Regulus himself, dear Godric, of course not, it was over the fact that, just like you told Lily and Marlene, you would have all four boys, or at the very least James and Sirius, working against your relationship and working to keep you apart from him. It made you sick to the stomach.
Some might say to sneak around and meet up in abandoned corridors, broom closets, or empty classrooms, which would (theoretically) work if it wasn’t for the damned Marauder’s Map. At first, the piece of enchanted parchment was a blessing when you needed to check for professors before leaving the common room past curfew but, as you grew older and would meet up with boys, you would have about five minutes, maybe ten if you were lucky, until the marauders would appear. Your resentment for the paper only grew when you realized there was no way you could be with Regulus in an empty room or corridor at night without one of the marauders catching on, so you had to get creative. You and Regulus would make out in empty sections of the library, hold hands in the back of the classroom, talk and kiss during prefect rounds, and exchange love notes passed using either magic or by being left in between the pages of a book.
The rest of the day, you stayed holed up in your room, only leaving when dinner came around, followed by Lily and Marlene, who dragged you out of bed and down to the Great Hall. Dinner was a quiet affair, something incredibly unusual for the group but, with the lingering air of hostility emitting from Sirius, no one was really in the mood for talking. You were sat in between Remus and Lily, placed strategically so you couldn’t look over at the Slytherin table. Sirius, however, was sitting across from you and refused to even glance at you, his eyes either on his plate or glaring at the Slytherin table, most definitely aimed at Regulus.
You could feel the stares, watching as Marlene’s eyes flickered between you, Sirius, and Regulus. Lily, who would repeatedly would glance at you through her peripheral view, also caught your attention with her gaze. You were almost positive you could feel Regulus’ stare on the back of your head, yet you refrained from turning to meet the gaze. Sirius was mad enough as it was, he didn’t need to catch you looking at his little brother.
Not particularly hungry, especially given the day’s events, you spent the majority of dinner pushing around the food on your plate rather than eating it. You felt almost nauseous as you sat on the bench, the idea of eating englufed by the still-present feeling of moths within your body.
When dinner was finally finished, you were ready to bolt out of the Great Hall and into your dorm. Remus, however, had other plans, placing an arm around your shoulders and tugging you into his tall frame. Although it might’ve looked like an act of affection to some, you knew it wasn’t. You were certain Sirius had given Remus some sort of signal to make sure you didn’t leave their sight, something he was keen on avoiding after finding you and Regulus in the forest.
The over-protective behavior continued for days. You were always in the company of at least one of the marauders, whether it was in the library or walking to class, you were never alone. They had even gone so far as to bribe one of your Potions classmates into keeping an eye on you and Regulus. Of course, this was only after the plan of forcing you to switch partners failed and so began your life of constant surveillance. James had even put it upon himself to use his Head Boy status and hand-pick the prefect pairs that would patrol the halls, ensuring that you and Regulus were never together.
The only time you were ever alone was when you were in your dorm. Even then, the three girls, with whom you shared a room, had told you that James interrogated them every time they left the dorm, trying to squeeze information out of them on if you had gotten any letters or anything of the such. The girls, thankfully, had refused to answer any of James’ questions, leaving him to question what happened behind the wooden door of Gryffindor tower’s dormitory thirteen.
Around a week after you and Regulus were discovered, you finally received a letter from him. It had come Saturday morning while you were getting ready for breakfast, delivered by the midnight-colored owl Regulus had named Pluto, after the Roman god of the underworld. After petting Pluto for a moment, you sat down on your bed to read the piece of parchment. Inside the letter, Regulus wrote about how greatly was he missing you and how he wanted nothing more than to be able to hold your hand without receiving a scathing glare from his brother. You folded the letter back up and went rummaging through your bag, pulling out parchment, ink, and a quill as you wrote a response, talking about how you were planning on trying to get Sirius to let up and not keep you on watch every moment. You rolled your letter up, tied it to Plato, and sent him off, storing Regulus’ letter inside your DADA textbook before hurrying down to breakfast.
While you were sitting with your friends, your eyes would briefly glance at the door every time a student entered, looking for a particular curly-headed boy. When you made eye contact with the one you had been searching for, you could feel the redness in your cheeks. You quickly looked down, avoiding the side-eyed glance you received from Sirius, his eyes trailed over to where Regulus was walking towards the Slytherin table.
Catching on, Sirius dropped his fork onto his plate, storming out of the Great Hall in a fit of rage. You, James, Remus, Peter, Marlene, and Lily all watched him disappear before you stood up and began to follow him.
By the time you reached the painting of the Fat Lady, Sirius was already ahead of you and inside Gryffindor tower. Muttering the password, you entered the common room, pausing to look for Sirius. After you realized he wasn’t downstairs, your ears caught the sounds of things being tossed around and falling from the girls' dormitories.
In a matter of seconds, you rushed up the stairs and into your dorm, where Sirius was rummaging through your bag, your nightstand already ransacked and gutted, its contents scattered across the floor.
“What the hell are you doing, Sirius?!” You shouted, attempting to pull the bag out of the boy’s grip. The fight over the bag was essentially tug of war, ending when the contents spilled out, books and quills on the ground.
“I don’t know what else you’re hiding from me, but I’m going to find it so bugger off,” Sirius growled, anger burning in his eyes as he glanced at you.
You watched as Sirius reached for your Defense Against the Dark Arts book, freezing as the letter from Regulus fluttered out from the pages and onto the ground. Sirius picked it up, unfolded it, and turned to you with a look of betrayal and fury on his face after reading it.
“How could you?” Sirius said, leaving your dormitory and taking the letter with him.
Left in the mess surrounding your bed, you looked down to see your inkpot on the ground, shattered.

The Prince's Precious Brother [1] - Leona Kingscholar [Platonic Yandere] [Male Yuu]
Tumblr media
Summary: Sixteen years ago, Leona experienced a tragic loss that changed him forever. His newborn brother, Feore Kingscholar, was taken away and declared dead, causing him immense pain that he carried with him throughout his entire life. However, everything changed when he arrived at Night Raven College and met Yuu Arisugawa - The Prefect of Ramshackle Dorm. During Crewel's Class, a secret was revealed, and Leona decided to reclaim what was rightfully his. He was determined to do it at any cost, and no one would be able to stop him without facing the consequences.
[Savanaclaw Dormitory - Leona's Dorm - Before Classes]
The sound of a crying infant, yelling voices, and horses going wild, along with hooves faded into the distance in Leona's ears causing them to lay flat on the surface of his head as his fists gripped the blanket covering his body, his eyes tight as the vivid images appeared under his closed eyelids, his eyebrows twitched with every single negative emotion that filled his heart as a cold sweat stained his dark skin; his teeth were locked in a snarl as a growling whimper escaped through his locked teeth, tears leaking through the small cracks of his eyes as he twitched and turned his head against his pillow as his body attempted to get comfortable.
"No... No... Don't do this... Don't leave me... Don't take him away from me!" Leona whimpered as the tears flowed down his face, his heart was pounding against his chest as a vivid image flashed in his subconscious: 2 Horses running along the desert of the Afterglow Savana with 2 cloaked figures riding upon their backs, one of the figures carrying a small bundle wrapped in a white blanket; the bundle crying its lungs out as it faded away into the desert night. A small hand reached out for the horse but they were too far away and getting further with every passing second.
"Don't leave me!" His 4-year-old voice cried out as tears flowed from his green eyes as they mixed into the sand of his homeland. "DON'T LEAVE ME ALONE!!! YOU'RE ALL I HAVE!!! COME BACK...!"
"FEORE!!!" Leona roared out in sorrow as his eyes shot open and his hands shot up toward the ceiling as if he were back at that moment in time; the tears finally leaking upon the pillow under his head as the slow realization of what was going on slowly started to become clear.
A Dream.
Just a dream.
Leona lowered his hand and placed it on his chest as he attempted to calm his panicked heart; memories could hold some of the best moments in your lives and you would want to relive them as much as you can, however, there are also the moments were the worse pains that scar your brain. This was the case for Leona Kingscholar - The Second Prince of the Sunset Savana. He turned his head to look at the calendar on his wall, the date caused his heart to break once again.
June 7th
'No wonder these memories are starting to plague me now... It's his birthday and the day he was taken away from me.' Leona thought as he placed his hand over his face, he sat up in his bed while looking through the cracks of his fingers, 'What happened to you, My Darling Brother?' Leona closed his eyes as the memories flowed through his mind back to that moment in his life: On this day 16 years ago - the day the Second Prince's Heart Grew Cold.
A 4-year-old Leona Kingscholar stood in the doorway with his elder brother, Falena, while their father spoke to their mother, who was currently sitting on her bed with a small bundle in her arms as she and her husband smiled at it. The mother looked in the direction of the boys and gestured for them to come into the room, Leona was the first to enter and looked at the bundle in his mother's arms: The child looked just like Leona did when he was younger but the tips of his hair had white tips; The King once told Leona and Falena that one of the past kings possessed a vast amount of magi and could use it without a wand had a head of snow white hair with blue tips. Leona looked down at the infant and wondered if his new brother would have the same amount of vast power his ancestor possessed; the thought of the two of them fighting together to protect their kingdom filled him with joy.
However, that happiness and joy were shattered throughout the kingdom when the shadows consumed the land and the full moon rose.
Leona was finding it hard to sleep, he was too happy; he was an elder brother, and he finally had someone to look up to him, someone who would see his worth better than his brother, parents, or kingdom ever could. He wanted to be near Feore and left his room before walking down the hall to reach Feore's Nursery when the cries of the infant caused him to pick up his pace until he opened the door to his brother's room, his heart froze and anger filled his veins at the sight before him.
There were 2 figures, sporting all-black garments and concealed by masks, and the larger of the figures was holding the crying 3rd Prince in his large hands.
"Get your hands off my brother!" The 4-year-old prince roared as he pulled his dagger from behind his back and charged at the men who held his brother captive. He pounced on the smaller figure and started jabbing his dagger downward but the figure was using his arm to protect his face; Leona only managed to cut his arm and left a few deep wounds that would later become scars before the larger man used his free hand, grabbed Leona by the back of his nightshirt and flung him across the room until he crashed into Feore's Dresser by the door. Leona groaned as pain radiated throughout his back while the men attempted to leave through the window with the small child, however, Leona wasn't gonna let them get away with what belonged to him.
Leona rose to his feet just as the guards entered the room to see the men jumping over the ledge with Feore, Leona roared the order to find them and get Feore back while he ran in the same direction and went over the ledge in hot pursuit; he didn't care about the fall damage, all he wanted was his brother back.
Leona ran after them until they reached the gates of the kingdom where two horses were waiting for them, they mounted the horses and attempted to ride away but Leona lunged at the larger man and started clawing at his face in order to get his mask off, but it wasn't coming off, then he tried to reach for his crying brother but was grabbed by the man's large hand and pushed away from the infant. Leona hissed in anger as he was thrown off of the moving horse and landed in the sand as the horses got further and further away.
Feore got further and further away.
Leona tried to get up and follow them but the fall twisted his angle, all he could do was kneel there and hold his hand out with tears in his eyes as the horse and men who had his brother disappeared into the darkness; never to be seen again.
The King of the Sunset Savana declared Feore Kingscholar, 3rd Prince of the Sunset Savana, dead one week after the search parties failed to find anything about his whereabouts or anything regarding the man who took him; all they had was the blood on Leona's Dagger and that was little to no help at all. Leona wasn't the same after his father declared his younger brother dead so easily and his heart grew cold and distant. When he wasn't studying or training, he was in Feore's Nursery until his father had the servants toss out everything in the room to free up the space; the only thing Leona was able to save was a small lion plushie that he had gifted his brother on the day of his birth - it was the only thing he had of Feore.
Leona looked at the small plushie in his massive hand before placing a small kiss on its forehead; wishing his younger brother a happy birthday wherever he might be; he knew he wasn't going to be able to sleep, so he decided to go to his classes. I knew he had Crewel's Class with the Herbivore and his friends; something interesting might happen that would take his mind off of everything. He placed the plushie on his bed before getting up and getting dressed before Ruggie decided to burst into his room and brother him; he was not in the mood for the Hyena's Antics this morning.
[In Crewel's Class]
Leona couldn't be any more uninterested in the things the teacher was talking about; he thought coming here would help him take his mind off his brother but it was only making it harder to stay away. Leona's keen hearing picked up on the sound of the Herbivore grunting in pain and irritation while the cat who went by the name Grim scratched at the boy's right side of his upper back. The boy was clearly trying to be quiet with it but Crewel picked upon it.
"Mr. Arisugawa! Is there a reason you are scratching your back like a pup with fleas while I am attempting to teach my class?" Crewel asked, causing everyone to look in Yuu's Direction.
"Please, forgive me, Mr. Crewel; I'm not trying to be a disturbance but I cannot help it, my birthmark is giving me a very hard time on this day." Yuu said.
"Your birthmark is giving you a hard time? What are you talking about, Puppy?" Crewell asked.
"It has been itching and burning ever since I woke up this morning; which is strange because it never bothered me this much before. It literally feels like it's on fire right now and I can't get it to stop no matter what I do." Yuu explained.
"Show me this birthmark of yours, Puppy." Crewel said.
Yuu rose from his seat and walked over to Crewel before turning his back to him and lifting the back of his shirt to show his teacher the marking on his back; the teacher looked confused before a small smirk appeared on his face.
"I see your issue, Puppy; this is not a birthmark, this is a containment seal." Crewel said, causing everyone in the class to look interested.
"What is a Containment Seal, sir?" Yuu asked.
"A Containment Seal - also known as a Concealment Seal - is a marking that is used to hide something about the person it is imprinted on; it could be used to seal someone's magic or true appearance away, those are the two most common ways they are used. From the looks of the glow, whatever is within this seal is trying to force its way out and that is what is causing your aggravation." Crewel explained.
"Does this mean there is a possibility that Yuu is actually from this world and possesses magic of his own?" Riddle asked from his seat; this caused Leona to raise an eyebrow with interest. There was more to his Herbivore than he knew?
"There could be a possibility but I must know something, Mr. Arisugawa. You claimed this seal hasn't been bothering you, it only started today and it was giving you pain; is there anything special about today that would cause this?" Crewel asked Yuu, who thought for a while before answering.
"Well, today happens to be my birthday." Yuu answered & Leona's ears perked up at the sound of this: This Herbivore had the same birthday as Feore and could have magic sealed away in his body. What the hell was going on?
"Happy Birthday, Puppy. Now, we need to undo this seal and see what is under it if we want to stop your pain. Remove your shirt and sit on the stool while I get a Reveal Elixir." Crewel said as he walked over to his cabinet and searched through his potions until he came back with a small vial containing a glowing blue liquid; Yuu removed his shirt and sat on one of the high stools with his back turned to the class. "Now, there is a chance this will burn even more but I need you to be a brave puppy for me and bear with me for a moment."
"Yes, Sir." Yuu said before he placed his hands on his knees and closed his eyes. Crewel opened the vial and poured the liquid directly on the seal and the effect was instantaneous. Yuu roared in pain as the seal started to melt into the ink that was used to craft it and flowed down his back but the pain was coming from within as a white magical aura surrounded him and he fell to his knees as the magic started taking over him. Soon enough, the magi swirled around him to the point he was no longer visible; everyone covered their faces as the winds coming from the magic attempted to blow them all away before the magic died down and flowed away and Yuu stood up, completely different.
He was no longer human. He was a Beastman - A Lion Beastman! What was more, he looked just like Leona, just shorter with shorter hair and blue eyes; not to mention the white tips on his hair. Yuu looked at his new form as his fingers were ignited with white magical family; everyone started asking questions as to what the hell was going on but Leona slowly stood from his chair and walked over to Yuu, looking at the boy with tear-filled green eyes.
"Senpai? Are you alright?" Yuu asked; he didn't get an instant answer but an answer nonethelss as Loena lunged at him and wrapped his arms around him, shocking everyone in the room, "Leona-senpai, what are you doing?!"
"It's you... It's really you... Everyone thought you were killed that night, but I knew better; I knew that I was going to find you one day and now I finally have. It's been so long and we've been apart for so long but all of that is going to change; Big Brother is here for you now, Feore." Leona sobbed, causing the students, Crewel, and Yuu to have the same reaction.
"WHAT?! I'M/YUU'S/MR. ARISUGAWA IS A KINGSCHOLAR?!!!"

hi! I'm not too sure if your ask is open right now and if it's not then I apologize. I found your writing style to be pretty nice si I was wondering if you could do a Lilia x reader. Diasomnia family headcanons. Reader is a fae who worked under Meleanor during the human-fae war. Ended up helping him with Malleus. A headcanon for the family dynamics in the Diasomnia family with reader. If that is not too specific, would you be alright with taking that request? I'd understand if you don't.
Tumblr media
The Most Important Moments of Our Lives [Diasomnia, Lilia Vanrouge x Fae!Reader]
╰ Sometimes when you lie in bed, you like to reminisce about the old days. It's crazy how things can change so suddenly. And the biggest change you have noticed so far is your family life.
╰ At first you considered being an NRC student at your age as something odd, but having Lilia by your side definitely helped you gain confidence. To other people at school, you are just another average student because you have never revealed to anyone (except your closest friends) who you really are.
╰ Still, you are grateful to be here, as you can continue to watch over Malleus and Silver. While you don't spend much time with them during the school day, you like to ask them about their classes and if they got good grades when you finally return to the Diasomnia dormitory.
╰ Being Malleus’ babysitter was something you would never expect to happen. One time during the human-fae war you found youself wounded badly to the point where you couldn’t fight anymore for a very long time. You felt completely useless until one day you were given a very important task by Princess Meleanor.
╰ And then you found yourself alone with Lilia Vanrouge and an egg. But not just any egg, it was Meleanor's precious egg with her baby inside.
╰ Lilia used to tease you a lot when you first started helping him with little Malleus once he was finally out of the egg. In fact, you've never taken care of babies before, let alone dragon babies, so it wasn't an easy job for you.
╰ But as the years passed, you grew accustomed to your new life. When Malleus was older, you taught him many things, such as the proper use of magic. Even now, he looks up to you and asks you for advice. Sometimes, when you pass through the halls of NRC, you can hear some students making jokes about you being Malleus' secret lover, based on what they can see. This thought disgusts you, since you literally helped raise him many years ago.
╰ Raising Malleus and later Silver happened to be the thing that brought you and Lilia closer. During the war, the two of you weren't particularly close, but you still had some respect for each other. Until one day you became the 'parents' of a dragon egg. There were times when you considered leaving because of Lilia's teasing, but you knew you couldn't do that to Malleus.
╰ This experience taught you a lot, but you felt what it's like to be a parent for the first time the day Lilia found baby Silver. It was completely different compared to Malleus' situation. At first you were hesitant to take care of a human baby, but seeing it so small and vulnerable changed something in you. Quickly you and Lilia became Silver’s parents.
╰ Your current relationship with Malleus… Well, he refers to you as [Y/N] at your request, and in fact you two have grown to be very good friends. He doesn't spend as much time with you as he does with Lilia, but you're still important to him and he's grateful for everything you've done for him in the past. You also make sure that Malleus gets every invitation to any party he's invited to. You just want this boy to have the best possible time during his NRC years.
╰ Being Silver's adoptive parent has its ups and downs. Sometimes he falls asleep with his head on your lap while you stroke his hair and reminisce about the times when he was a child. After classes, Silver often comes to you for study sessions. You can't believe how attached you are to him, and you don't even want to think about losing him one day. He's still your son, after all, but you know that finding his real parents would be nothing but heartbreaking.
╰ There are days when you can't understand Sebek at all. The two of you aren't particularly close, but you still care for him like you do for the rest of your little Diasomnia family. He seems to be calmer when he's around you, after you got mad at him once when he woke up Silver. Other than that, Sebek is really respectful to you and sometimes even jealous when you're paying more attention to Silver.
╰ Last but not least is Lilia himself. You and he are the parents of the family, and even Malleus said once that the two of you eventually should get married. You don't deny that something happened between you and Lilia while you were raising Silver. But then this something just disappeared, and you can't even figure out why. The more years passed, the more Lilia became interested in trying out newer, more modern technologies and other things, while the rest of the time was spent with Silver.
╰ Until one evening, after a tiring day full of classes, after-school activities, and some Diasomnia business stuff, you finally entered your room and saw Lilia sitting on your windowsill. He was singing something under his breath while his fingers slid along the strings of his guitar. Then it hit you. It was the same old lullaby you used to sing to Silver when he was a baby. Tears immediately welled up in your eyes, while a small smile formed on your lips.
╰ “You remember that song word for word after all these years?” You asked, walking closer to him. Lilia stopped singing and turned to you, a chuckle coming from his mouth.
╰ “My dear, the most important moments of our lives should never be forgotten. And you singing this lullaby to Silver for the first time is certainly one of them.”
╰ There was a hope. A hope that this ‘something’ hasn't died yet. You didn't want to hide it anymore. The feeling of love you held for Lilia was finally ready to be revealed to him.
╰ But before you could say anything, both you and Lilia suddenly got a notification on your phones, which turned out to be a reminder. ‘Kalim’s party at 9 PM’.
╰ You sighed and wiped away your tears with the sleeve of your school uniform jacket. “I should go now and inform Malleus about the party, in case he hasn't recieved an invitation again. You can… continue playing the guitar and singing.”
╰ On your way to Malleus' room, you couldn't stop thinking about what you had just seen and heard. You probably won't forget it during the party either. After all, the most important moments of your life should never be forgotten.
Thank you for requesting!

Oliver Quick x f!Reader
My fic masterlist
Summary: Oliver's memories of one of the evenings at Oxford, where you began getting closer. And a night in Saltburn, where you try to be dominant with him.
Actaeon series spin-off, taking place between Artemis and The Wrath of the Stag.
Warnings: smut, dom!Reader, sub!Oliver, switching, oral, penetration sex.

It was another spring party at Oxford. All the young people were chatting cheerfully with bottles and glasses in their hands in the slightly dim light of the dormitory's common room. Felix and Oliver were almost lying relaxed on the couch and had been silent for some time.
“Now, can you eenie, meenie India or Annabel, and take one fucking home? Because they look miserable,” Oliver suggested softly.
“Eenie, meenie, miny, moe. Catch a tiger by his toe. If he squeals, let him go. Er..." Felix seemingly forgot the text of the counting-out rhyme, but decided to finish it as soon as possible and make a choice anyway, "You're out, boy scout!"
The choice fell on Annabelle. He happily pecked Oliver on the cheek in gratitude, which made him grin widely. Oliver liked being praised. Especially by those who were important to him. Felix quickly jumped up from the sofa and, lightly slapping the contented girl on the ass, and went off with her upstairs.
“Well, what the fuck, mate? I’ve been chirpsing her for about an hour. I wanted at least a hand job...” the guy Annabelle left said in disappointment.
An hour. What did he know about waiting. How about almost a whole year, mate? Oliver smiled indulgently to himself. And anyway, how shallow that guy thoughts and desires were.
“I know. We all want a fucking handjob, mate. Get yourself a title and a massive fuck off castle.”
That where it was hard to argue. A title and a massive fuck off castle had never harmed anyone in life yet.
"Hey, here I am! And where is Felix?.." you were surprised when you returned from your dorm room and sat back down on the sofa, only this time next to Oliver alone.
"I don't know really," he shrugged, smiling, "I think he’s decided to go have some fun on his own."
"Hmm," you pursed your lips, not really surprised, but still, deep down, a little upset that Felix was acting like that again. You guessed where and why he might have gone, but decided not to focus on that thought right now. Besides, you'd already poured another bottle of your drink into yourself. There was some silence in the air. Before that, you had fun talking to the guys, mostly Felix, and you had never been alone with Oliver for long, especially at parties. You clenched your bottle tightly like a social lifebuoy.
Oliver was even beginning to interest you a little, just a little, but you still had no idea what and how to talk to him in private. He still seemed more like Felix's shadow. But at the same time, being face-to-face for at least a short time, you felt like you had to tell Oliver something meaningful, something deep... as if you should be giving away to him some of your secrets. You were vaguely disturbed by this feeling, as now you were just in the mood for small talk only.
"Um... so… how’s your study going?" you asked, not knowing where else to start a new separate conversation with him besides studying.
"Pretty well," he replied a little awkwardly, embarrassed by your close presence himself. Before that, Felix separated you on the couch, but now he wasn’t a bother anymore. Oliver definitely liked this intimacy, even though he was obviously not used to it yet. But one gets used to the fine things quickly. And Oliver was greedy for all the new truly fine things in his life.
"And yours?"
"Yeah, too," you took a small sip from the bottle, trying not to look him in the eye. At the same time, because you felt awkward and because these blue eyes have been looking at you so piercingly lately, as if they were drilling right into your soul. You couldn't tell if it was embarrassing for you, or if it was some other kind of excitement. Maybe both.
"And what about yours..." Oliver was interrupted by one of Felix's many friends, Chad, who plopped down on the arm of the sofa next to you.
"Hey, Y/N! I finally got to the party on your campus! How are you?"
"Oh, Chad! It's been a long time, it’s like you've disappeared somewhere. Have you really been studying so hard lately?" you both laughed loudly at this very bold assumption of yours. You continued to communicate, actively exchanging the latest news. Over time, you felt guilty a little. You turned to Oliver and smiled at him. He smiled back understandingly. His face visibly saddened when you turned back to the blond guy. He began to examine the empty bottom of his plastic cup, twirling it slightly in his hands. How should he get Y/N's attention? He didn't know. He had to come up with a plan. What would he do, what should he say, so that you…
"Hey, Oliver! Did you have any classes with Mr. Wharton?" you asked with interest, involving him in your conversation. He exhaled a little as he realized that you weren't leaving him in the middle of this party, where he felt like a stranger without Felix and you. You looked at him with a warm smile, and something inside him finally clicked and fell into place.
"Er, yeah... that oddball. He constantly comes up with fruit analogies for everything and even sometimes speaks on their behalf while holding them in hands."
"Ah, have you seen that too?! Y/N, I told you, he's an old weirdo! Only you are attending the wrong classes!" exclaimed Chad, and you all laughed merrily. The conversation was going well, and Oliver was incredibly happy about it. He didn't feel lonely anymore because of you.
But in return, some feelings that he had only vaguely suspected until this moment began to awaken inside him. You didn't stop drinking, and at some point, Chad put his arm around you and started lightly stroking your back. You giggled without giving it much thought, especially under the influence of alcohol. But Oliver saw perfectly well how Chad looked more and more into your eyes, lowering his gaze to your lips and lightly licking his own. It was very subtle, but Quick noticed it all. The way his hand keeps stroking your back, gripping you tighter and tighter. Oliver saw it all perfectly well, because he wanted to be in that place himself.
No, rather, he didn't really want to. He had long imagined your first kiss when you were fully conscious, willing and not under the influence of some alcohol, when you were too much mellow-minded. And he wouldn't let your kiss with Chad happen now, in this state, nor ever.
Sometimes it seemed you and him were very different. He could see through everything, and sometimes it was like you notice none of what you really should. How could you not understand that this Chad wanted to take you upstairs just like Felix did with Annabel?
You were kind and open, maybe even too friendly, oh, Y/N. Oliver was drawn to you like a moth to a fire. You were quite a complete and content person in your own right, and this was very attractive to the many-faced Oliver, who was still struggling to find a place in this life, especially here, in his first year at Oxford.
And it seems that he began to realize that he had found his place next to you. And he wanted to take this place like a guard dog, protecting it and you from all the adversity and guys like Chad.
You didn't forget about Oliver and wanted him to feel fine and less lonely, even hardly knowing him, even having so many friends and acquaintances here, even in the midst of fun of the party. You showed towards him attention and care.
Yeah, he would like to be your dog, he thought now.
Fortunately, you soon got up, freeing yourself from Chad's embrace and going to the bathroom. Great. Oliver had been carefully observing the situation in the common room all this time, so he immediately got up from the sofa and sauntered into the common kitchen, where India was smoking, still slightly displeased that Felix had not chosen her.
"How’s the party? " Oliver asked politely, grabbing a can of beer from the fridge.
India rolled her eyes, twirling a cigarette in her fingers, "What do you need?"
"Me? Nothing. But that guy has been looking at you half the evening without stopping," he nodded towards Chad and winked, "Just saying."
"Isn't he hanging out with Y/N?"
"No, he doesn't sleep with his buddy Felix's old friends. So, the way is clear."
"Oh, are they friends with Felix?" India narrowed her eyes. That was good, she needed some male attention right now, especially from those whom Catton Jr. might become jealous of. Thus, the girl went off towards her chance.
When you had returned to the common room, you saw Chad and India flirting with each other on the couch, and the girl did not let go of her hands off him. Okay. That was unexpected, but okay, it was a student party, after all. You shrugged your shoulders and started thinking about where you could sit now.
"Everyone seems to be having fun with each other tonight," Oliver, who happened to be next to you, shrugged sympathetically. Indeed, everyone around was busy with their own lively conversations, and someone was already far from just "talking".
"To singles?" he offered a playful toast, and you agreed with a grin, "Apparently so!"
"Cheers!" you clinked your drinks, continuing to talk a little more relaxed with each other. So, that how you started getting closer from that evening, and you began getting to know the real Oliver. At least that was what you thought at the time. He looked at you with a shy smile of a complete adoration as you were telling your stories full of joy and tipsy giggling. His eyes were shining like two starry sapphires right now.
If a guard dog wants to protect the peace of its owner and scare away other dogs, then it must inspire fear itself. Maybe sometimes not very intentionally, but instill just a little fear and sense of power even to its own master. Oliver wanted to be a good guard dog.
He would take this place next to you.
* * *
And he took it.
Now he was hovering over you, pinning you between his arms, leaning on your bed in your bedroom in Saltburn. It was the middle of the night, and finally not a single one inhabitant of this house could bother you right now.
Oliver thought all day about how he would continue his way with you at night, along the way remembering the evening of that party in Oxford, where you finally began to get closer. He looked down at you rapturously, biting his lip and breathing heavily, still not believing that all this was really happening. Not just right now, but in general, everything.
His blue eyes were gleaming with utter delight in the dim.
"What else does my sweet Y/N want?" Oliver asked you, recovering his breathing.
He bent lower, and a chain dangled from his neck, swaying slightly. The metal heated by the warmth of your bodies tickled your lips slightly. You lifted your head and gently but firmly catching the chain with your lips.
"Mm-hmm," Quick mumbled with curiosity. You smiled, gritting the chain with your teeth and began to shake it slightly from side to side. He opened his lips excitedly, inhaling sharply.
"Am I your doggie today? Oh, I'm more than willing to be, sweetheart," he said in his deep sexy accent.
He wanted to add "now and always," but didn't. Oliver was afraid that if he showed how willing he was to obey you, he would lose your interest. He was used to changing masks, adapting to different situations and someone's needs. He was an awkward and shy nerd when you first met, and that was largely true, because of his deep core nature and the new posh environment at Oxford. Fortunately, he had successfully joined Felix's company and was able to relax a little. And here in Saltburn, he almost felt like the master of the situation.
If you wished, he would always be that sweet, shy and awkward guy for you, if only you were truly happy about it. But he had learned that he interested and intrigued you mostly when he showed a more powerful, dominant and somewhat even dark part of himself. And that made him really pleased, because you viewed him the way he hoped to be in his own deep wildest dreams.
And yet, he still wanted to be your dog, an obedient dog who would do anything for you. In a sense, he was. And today he decided to demonstrate you that in more obvious way.
"What do you want me to do? I'm all yours," he leaned back next to you, belly up. Oliver smiled playfully. Right now, he was a tiger who had been caught by the toe with his own permission.
Biting your lip, you straddled him, sitting on his thighs. After enjoying this view, you ran your hand from his navel, sliding your fingers up the groove between his prominent muscles. Oliver exhaled sharply. You stopped at his neck, grabbed his chain, and pulled him to you. Now the guy was in a sitting position, he looked at you adoringly while his hands slid over your waist.
Without letting go of one hand from the chain, you slowly rose and began to descend on his cock. Oliver hissed with satisfaction, "Yes, my dear, just like that..."
"I didn't let you talk," you pulled the chain slightly, smiling slightly.
"Oh," he said in surprise, but gladly began to obey you, nodding in agreement.
You began to move slowly on his things, while Oliver's strong hands supported you with ease, guiding you, leaving hot prints on your skin.
His hands were all over you as his lips feverishly kissed everything they could reach. Finally, he reached for your lips, covering them with a hot kiss full of saliva, admiration and arousal.
When you broke the kiss, you said, a little hesitantly, but still firmly enough, "Take your hands off, next time you touch me when I tell you."
Oliver smiled enthusiastically – you learned quickly from his example, apparently. He liked the hint of his own power and dominance reflected on himself now through you.
He obeyed your request, although it was getting harder to fulfill it by every passing minute. He wanted to touch you again, guide your body and push it harder on his hard needy cock. It became unbearable after a while, and he whined a little. He looked at you a little pleadingly, but you nodded no.
He kissed your breasts again, but in response he got "Do not touch at all."
"Only I can now," with these words, you ruffled his hair and pressed harder against his shoulders. He groaned at the inability to touch you at all, it was a new sensation, or rather, its absence.
You grabbed his hair, and he put his head closer, burying it in your hand. It was the only chance to touch you in any way. Oliver closed his eyes and inhaled noisily through his nose. He didn't even mind if you squeezed his hair even harder, hell, maybe even poked his face into the sheet, where he would inhale the scent of your arousal. If you had forced him to lick it off, he would have willingly obeyed, as long as you continued to press his face to the bed, clutching his dark curls. He even imagined doing the same with the bathtub you were lying in lately. In his bathroom. This thought turned Oliver on even more.
Degrading him, talking him down, pulling his hair or chain harshly - he would not always like to be in this role, but he would like to give you that opportunity from time to time. If only you'd asked. And even if you hadn't asked. Because it was you. And because he was like that.
Reaching the peak almost at the same time, you dug your nails into his back deeply, which made Oliver's eyes darken slightly and starry at the same time. With a pleased moan, you released your grip and sank down onto the pillows. But that wasn't all of it, and you decided to play the role given to you to the very end.
Clutching his soft dark hair, you moved his head to your thighs. He looked back at you with hazy from own rapture eyes.
"Please," you said softly, still not being able to be dominant enough. But this sweetness and dissimilarity from his own, even in a situation where you could and should do it, but asking instead, drove Oliver crazy to his limit. He attacked you with a growl, delivering all the pleasure he could possibly give to you that night.
* * *
Oliver was lying with his arms around your lower back, his head resting on your stomach. Quick looked faithfully into your eyes. His face reflected the moonlight of the deep quiet night that was now in Saltburn.
You stroked and scratched him behind the ear, he rubbed his nose contentedly against your smooth belly skin.
"Is my mistress happy?"
"Yes," you laughed, starting to play softly with his hair.
"Then I am happy too," he said, closing his eyes and rubbing his cheek against your soft belly, "Now and always."

౨ৎ only !
pairing: huening kai x reader summary: huening kai was a pure lover. and nothing can defeat true, pure, love. word count: 0.9k extra: inspired by leehi's 'onlyl'! apart of my valentines day series
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
huening kai was rarely one to fall in love, but when he fell, he fell hard. there was no stopping him once he had his heart set on someone. and that is what was so unfortunate about being in love with kai. he truly loved will all of him.
it made it that much easier to hurt him, even if it was unintended.
he took everything to his heart, which at times made situations a hundred times worse.
to love huening kai could only be described as to be able to love in the purest form. to love and to be loved as adam loved eve. to love someone so greatly it felt as if they were apart of you. made specifically to suit you. to love someone in such a way that they truly were the only thing in life that mattered in the end.
the only thing that made you believe in true, everlasting, love.
when kai first asked you out, he made you promise something. a pinky promise. at the time, it made you smile. it seemed so childish, so innocent. yet looking back, it was so full of love.
a secret only you two shared, sealed with a kiss to the knuckles.
"promise we'll always be together?" he had mumbled, staring up into the night sky.
not even monet would be able to do the colours justice. the moon smiling down at the earth, awaiting its attention.
"i promise." you mumbled back.
foolish teenagers.
promises were meant to be broken, yet kai could never bring himself to go against his word. and neither could you.
being with kai was refreshing - nothing had to be hidden, or compartmentalized. your feelings were out in the open, and kai finally felt comfortable enough to voice his thoughts whenever he felt like it.
the first time he uttered "i love you," was the day you'd consider to be the worst of your life. you were just so tired, and all you wanted to do as crawl into yourself and completely disappear. your day was just so busy, and all kai did was move aside in bed and pull you into him.
"i love you too, hyuka."
there was some invisible string that always drew you back to huening. his face was the only one you'd look for in a crowd. even in passing, a stranger would cause you to stop dead in your tracks if they even slightly resembled your love. beomgyu called you 'desperate', but you thought of it more as lovesick in the best ways possible.
not long after you began dating, you found yourself in the kitchen of his dormitory, the movie the four other boys watching no longer important. you were dancing slowly to the movies soundtrack, and it felt like a dream. a childish dream, one that your friends would call immature. but a dream is a dream, no matter how silly it may seem to others.
it was moments like those that made huening kai so easily to love. he was vulnerable and caring - the knight in shining armor. his love was so genuine it wouldn’t surprise you if hundreds of years from now, scholars analyzed it and taught about it in classrooms. there was something so pure about huening kai and the way he loved.
love like that only comes by once in a lifetime. both you and kai were aware of that. in kai’s eyes, someone like you was such an anomaly itself that he thanked all his lucky stars he was even allowed to know you. as selfish as it was, he wanted you all for himself. to have, and to hold, all the ideals expressed in vows. you were practically the only person to exist in his eyes, and all he could do was hope his loving was never too much.
pray that he was never too affectionate. never too insecure. never too much of anything.
you made huening kai believe in love.
and no matter what the voices in his head would say, kai was the definition of love to you. everything about the way he was crafted - a child of aphrodite. son of the goddess of love and beauty. hand sculpted from her own mind.
of course he blushed like a madman whenever you would make the comparison, but even yeonjun would giggle in agreement. hueningkai was so loved by all, it was surprising no one else had dated him for long periods of time, at least not until you.
at times, loving huening kai felt like romance out of one of the animes he'd watch. two characters who know next to nothing about love finding each other, and finding out what it means.
those were all the best things about being in love with huening kai. even if he loved with all of himself. even if he was hurt easily.
loving huening kai was not a reward, like some would think. and it was not an honor. nor was it a gift. it was something else entirely. at times it felt like a blessing, but love is not something that is earned in a contest. it is something grown. carefully coddled with loving hands, allowing it to bloom in its own time.
and while not all love was like that, that is exactly what it was like to love huening kai, and for huening kai to love you.
no matter how many times the two of you would fight, how many times you would storm out crying. no matter how many times it felt like your heart had been shredded to pieces, that invisible string would tug. and it would tug, and tug, and tug until you winded up in kai's arms again. because that is what love truly was.
and huening kai would forever and always be your only love.

R. WEASLEY X READER !!
Tumblr media
R. WEASLEY X READER !!
prompt: ronald weasley discovers his massive crush on y/n l/n, but he may have made it a bit too obvious…
requested by: no one
warnings: none(?), seamus being an ass for a bit, everyone hating on seamus😭 (ilhsm, seamus is my baby)
gryffindor!fem!reader x ronald b. weasley
Tumblr media
“i’m in love!” the younger weasley boy shouted, maybe a bit too loudly, bursting into the boys gryffindor dormitory.
“who’s the next victim, and how do you plan to torture them this time?” seamus smirked, raising his eyebrows in response.
“shut up, seamus.” ronald spat to the irish boy, somewhat jokingly.
“yeah, cmon, who is it? don’t keep us waiting.” neville replied from one of the beds, suddenly putting down his herbology book.
“well… it’s uh, this girl, y/n l/n.” ronald said, rubbing the back of his neck with a small smile.
“damn ron, she’s hot snatch! you sure you can do this?” seamus joked again.
“seamus! stop being such a git!” dean said shoving his best friend lightly.
“so, you gonna ask her to the yule ball? it’s coming up soon.” harry suggested.
“yeah! i’m gonna write her love letters every day till the week before, and boom! she’ll be smitten!” the youngest weasley boy said confidently, puffing out his chest.
“suureee….” george sighed, rolling his eyes with a grin.”
“shut it!”
Tumblr media
dear y/n,
hello y/n. i have something i must say, i have quite the fancy for you.
but the sad thing to say is that i’m not too sure how exactly to tell you.
i’ll give you a new hint every passing day - up until exactly one week before the yule ball.
hint: gryffindor 4th year.
“my goodness! y/n! i can’t believe it!” hermione said, peering over the letter the girl had gotten from her owl.
“y/n! you have a secret admirer!” hermione said again, getting all excited.
“well, i have no clue who it could be.” y/n reminded.
“it could be anyone in our house and year! harry, ron, dean, neville, seamus-”
“okay okay! i get it!” the girl next to hermione laughed.
“anyone your hoping it to be?” hermione asked nudging her close friend.
“anyone but seamus.” y/n joked.
“hey! what’s wrong with me!” seamus laughed, putting a hand to his heart.
“so do you know who it is?” hermione questioned.
“oh yeah it’s!-”
“NO ONE.” dean smiled as he yelped, covering the mouth of a now flailing seamus finnigan.
“oh really?” y/n asked giving a blank stare.
“nO ONE YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT.” dean said, his smiling getting even bigger and bigger, showing he was up to something, his hand still one seamus mouth.
“uh, sure.” hermione said, turning y/n away.
Tumblr media
just before the girls were going to bed in the gryffindor dorms the next night, an owl came fluttering through, which so happened to be yours.
a letter was plopped onto your nightstand and without a second beat, your owl flew off.
dear y/n
it’s me, once again, you looked really nice today
i’ve never seen your hair like that, all wavy and stuff. not to straight, but not to curly, you looked stunning.
do it again sometime
hint: i’m a ginger
“so? what’s the hint?” hermione asked, coming over to your bed.
“he’s a ginger. it’s ronald.”
“how do you know that though? there could be more than one ginger in our year and house!” hermione reminded.
“who else could it be then?” y/n queried.
“exactly what i thought.” y/n smirked in victory.
“well? are you gonna say yes?” hermione asked, getting more and more excited.
“yeah, yeah i will.”
Tumblr media
as the days passed, the hints became more and more obvious, confirming it was infact ronald weasley.
and the fact that seamus, for the life of him can’t keep his mouth shut, even if he means no harm.
it was time for the yule ball.
it was time to meet ron.
you adjust your dress one last time, walking into the ballroom, trying to find your date.
“hi there, you look like a dream.”
you turn, to see ron, in some somewhat questionable dress robes - but still looking very handsome.
“hi, thank you.”
music started playing, and the ginger to the fore of you held out his hand.
“may i have this dance?”
“yes…yes you may.”
the two of you waltzed to the center of the flooring, he bowed, leaving a kiss to your knuckles.
he put his hand on your waist, as you did his shoulder, and you two began to dance along to the music.
“i love you, y’know that?”
“i think i figured out that much, captain obvious, i love you too.”
Tumblr media
if there’s anything offensive and/or inaccurate feel free to let me know!~

As if it never happened
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
◇ Pairing: Tom Riddle X fem!Reader
◇ Warnings: smut, memories, angst, anger, drinking, Slytherins
◇ Summary: Tom Riddle's narcissism appears even stronger a week after the event happened.
◇ Note: Sorry for the mistakes and the English. Collaboration with @pasukiyo PART 2 made by @pasukiyo.
Tumblr media
The rain was hitting the ground of Hogsmeade creating a gentle, almost soothing sound that was covered by the laughter and voices coming from the three broomsticks, you could only hear it if you were near the windows and concentrated like Tom was doing.
Tom Riddle, the prefect and headboy of the school, the charming and mysterious wizard who made anyone fall in love with him just by his presence, was in Hogsmeade although he didn't like to leave the castle, to be more precise the library, that day he was there with his Slytherin followers who were enjoying the little break from studying exactly as the person, Tom's eyes were on, was doing.
Y/n Y/l/n, a pureblood, Slytherin, belonging to a well-known and prestigious family, a beautiful girl, sometimes rebellious but nevertheless a true pureblood. She was also part of Tom's group of followers but the boy's dark eyes were not on her for that reason, there was a much more twisted and secret reason, a reason that only the two of them knew and that would have to remain secret for life if she did not want to disappoint her family.
The secret so enormous that bound the young witch with the young wizard was mere lust consummated one winter night right at the castle; it was raining that night exactly like it had that day, and her screams of pleasure echoed through the empty dormitory as Tom's hips moved at an animalistic pace.
After that night the young wizard intended to pretend it had never happened, not because he didn't enjoy it but because he didn't want to create any weak spots for himself, for that reason the next morning when he showed up in the great hall so that he could have breakfast before class he was confused to see that Y/n was the one who was ignoring him, there was no sign of the night before, neither on her skin nor in her gaze, anywhere, there was only total indifference on her side. She was still devoted to him and responded to him if he spoke to her but she did not seem to be as interested in him as she was the night before, her behavior was completely different and her submission was not at all visible; Tom would have expected to see her fall at his feet metaphorically, like all the other girls, to have seen her beg him to give her a chance, to spend another night with him or to have to correct her as soon as she mentioned the fact that they were together despite the fact that they had only spent one night together.
None of this happened, and something inside Tom's stomach began to make him feel different, almost sick.

How would SOLDIER carpool karaoke turn out?
Carpool Karaoke
• For the sake of publicity, ShinRa thinks it's a good idea to have the First Class trio + Zack participate in a talk show's segment of Carpool Karaoke.
• The bit starts off entertaining enough, with the host pulling into the Shinra HQ's main entrance and picking up his passengers.
• Not even a full minute into the segment and Sephiroth and Genesis are arguing over who gets to ride shotgun. This escalates into a fistfight.
• Angeal breaks them up and makes the decision to ride up front and place Sephiroth and Genesis in the back. He puts Zack in the middle seat to separate them.
• The host starts asking questions about their daily life, making small-talk, prodding them about juicy rumors.
• And then he puts on a song he thinks all four of them will enjoy. It's some over-the-top pop hit that everyone knows—think Uptown Funk.
• All is well and the boys are singing EXCEPT for Sephiroth. He looks flat-out bored and unamused. The camera keeps zooming in on his face every now and then his expression keeps getting more and more hilarious.
• And then the host suggests they lift his spirit and pulls into the MidgarBurger drive-thru. Zack wants a kiddie meal combo with a toy, Genesis wants an order of fries and chicken tenders, Angeal wants a monster burger.
Sephiroth: I would like one of each hamburger.
Everyone: What?
Sephiroth: Did I stutter?
• And so they drive off with Sephiroth and his 38 hamburger boxes in the backseat. At least he looks happy.
• Next up the host asks Angeal what their daily life is like, and how they all became friends.
• Angeal goes on to explain that he and Genesis were childhood friends, how they met Sephiroth and later Zack, and how they all get along so well and rarely ever argue.
• While he explains this the camera films the backseat, where Sephiroth and Genesis are arguing because Genesis tried to nick one of Sephiroth's burgers. Sephiroth retaliated by squirting ketchup at Genesis, so now the two are screaming at each other while Zack frantically blows the tiny whistle that came with his toy.
• Next song! They're all singing along to Everybody (backstreet boys). Genesis gets too excited.
Genesis: 🎶 Am I original?
Everyone: 🎶 Ye-ah.
Genesis: 🎶 Am I the only one?
Everyone: 🎶 Ye-ah.
Genesis: 🎶 Am I sexual?
Sephiroth: NO.
• Before the host drops them off at the base, he asks them one last juicy question.
Host: What's one secret that you guys have been keeping from each other?
Sephiroth: Last new year's eve, I drunkenly stumbled back to the dormitories in the pitch black darkness. On my way there, I encountered a mysterious woman and kissed her.
Angeal: Wow, that's insane. My secret is that one time I used boxed mashed potatoes for a dinner party.
Zack: One time I accidentally ate dog food thinking it was cereal.
Genesis: I was the mysterious woman Sephiroth kissed.
• Sephiroth flies into a murderous rage and they have to stop the car immediately.

Public perceptions of Sara as a neurodivergent in love
As far as Sara’s romance arc goes in Young Royals, something I’ve thought a lot about is how there’s this ableist tendency to infantilize autistic people, and part of this ableist infantilization comes down to downplaying or ignoring or erasing autistic people’s sexualities. Luckily, there’s more shows recently that have pushed back against that in some form—Everything’s Gonna Be Okay and Heartbreak High being among them. (Everything’s Gonna Be Okay even has an ace autistic character to nuance things all the more.) Young Royals first and foremost pushes back by giving Sara a love story in her own right, full of as many ups and downs and complex turns of character that Wille and Simon’s relationship does.
There’s a second thing that I think might be going on, and it’s subtle enough to me that I want to see how season 3 plays out before I can say “this is for sure a thing that’s happening in the show.” And that is the way that other characters respond to Sara’s potential for romantic and sexual attraction, whether they’re downplaying it or actually seeing the reality of it. Now, Sara’s Manor House pals at least acknowledge her potential to feel attraction and be in a relationship, and that’s good, but it feels sort of… abstract? And while Sara does lack the experience the other girls have, they tend to presume a level of innocence and naïveté on her part that doesn’t quite match up with Sara’s more complicated reality. (Also, this may just be my bias speaking, but Fredrika’s comment about Sara’s virginity particularly grates on me. Fredrika plays it off as a compliment but I don’t think it’s meant to be kind.) Meanwhile, when it comes to Sara’s interactions with Simon, we see her teasing him about boys and boyfriends, but he doesn’t seem to respond to her in the same way. Not out of malicious intent I don’t think, but it was something I noticed in their interaction.
It also strikes me that Sara and August were in a secret relationship all season 2 and as far as we know so far, no one noticed. Neither of them is very subtle in how they’re texting the other one and they’re both always sneaking off “to go get a textbook” or whatever. Boys have walked by Sara as she’s walked through the halls of Forest Ridge dormitory. It wouldn’t be that hard to figure out! Felice lives with Sara and doesn’t suspect secret boyfriends or anything. I’m curious to see what the Hillerska rumor mill is like in season 3—whether anyone did pick up on the little sargust tryst like they did the wilmon one, or whether Hillerska students failed to notice because they don’t see Sara as being inherently connected to romance as someone like say, Felice is. Naturally Sara’s class background and gender play a role in that as well, but identities always interact and we can’t leave neurodivergence out of the equation.
We talk a lot about how Sara’s neurodivergence impacted the way she got into a relationship, mostly in terms of how her neurodivergent traits impact her sense of morality and the way she reads certain social signals. What I haven’t seen people talk about as much is how other people in her life perceive her neurodivergence and her capacity for romantic and/or sexual relationships. I’m curious, too, to know how intentionally the show is addressing this. As season 3 deals with the fallout of season 2, I wonder to what extent other characters might try to pigeonhole Sara as childlike or not in full understanding of her own feelings, as they try to make sense of what happened with Sara and August. And I wonder to what extent Sara will have to fight back and claim her own agency in relation to these feelings, even as she’s left this relationship behind.
What do you all think?

Chapter One - A New School in an Old Town
"Are you sure you have everything you need?"
With the phone pressed between your ear and shoulder, you let out a chuckle in reaction to your father's speech.
"Yes, Captain Rogers, I'm sure." You retort good-naturedly, adjusting the box in your hands and opening the bedroom door with your foot. "I already got the last box, and I have the tour with the monitor girl now, so I gotta go. I'll call you later, Dad."
Steve sighed. "Okay, kiddo, take care. I love you!"
You hummed back as you put the box down on the bed to turn off your cell phone and put it away in your pocket.
Your gaze circled the messy room for a moment. All the boxes filled with your belongings scattered around, and you wondered for a moment how they would look organized there, the posters, the decorations. Sighing softly, you made your way out behind the room of the monitor responsible for introducing the Xavier Institute to you.
Fortunately, you didn't have to look far. Natasha Romanoff was chatting with two other girls at the end of the female dormitory hallway and offered you a kind smile just before dismissing the girls when you reached them.
"Everything okay with your room, Rogers? "She asked, calling you by your last name, and you cleared your throat to say thank you.
"Yeah. And I actually prefer Stark." You blurted out, to which the girl raised an eyebrow. You didn't clarify why, and she didn't insist.
"All right, Stark. Let's begin with the dorm anyway, since most of us spend most of our time, especially the seniors, locked in here while we try to keep up with the classes the stricter professors give us." She leads off casually, walking further ahead. "Your room is 121, and mine is the last on the right. The blackboard on the side of each door is for identification and for cool messages, like Jean and her good morning messages. Or, Anna and her moody messages in response to that."
You chuckled short, looking back to see if you could identify the pictures of the said girls, and smiled when you saw Jean's one outlined 'Someday you'll go far" and the other door, who you assumed was Anna’s were written 'and I really hope you stay there’.
"They seem fun." You mutter to Nat who nods in agreement.
"You have no idea." She says mysteriously before gesturing to another wall. "Over there is our bulletin board. Everything relevant at the Institute gets notified here. Scheduling exams, club applications, official events, and so on. If you miss something and are selling something, you can put an ad here too. Oh, look at this, Peter is offering tutoring..."
"Can boys come in here?" You asked curiously, and Nat giggled.
"Officially, no." She retorted. "But no one's a snitch if you want to bring a boyfriend. The Parker boy sure didn't come in, he's not allowed anymore. He probably asked some girl to paste the poster here." Nat explained, pulling out one of the contact wires, and tucking it away in her pocket. "Come on, I'll take you to see the rest of the place."
The institute was huge as the application website said. Natasha took you to see everything from the main study building, labs and classrooms, to the gym and volleyball courts outside.
"We also have a hiking club, which does its trips through there all the way down to the bay." She informs you as you both reach the east side of the outside hall of the main building, pointing to the tall trees a short distance away. You see that there are markings at the entrance with symbols of that club. "They, like most clubs, are still open for applications if you have any interest."
You chuckle awkwardly. "Sounds fun, but I think I'll just focus on classes this year." You mutter and Nat shrugs her shoulders.
"it's up to you." She says. "If you change your mind, they'll reopen enrollment in the middle of the year, or of course, if you befriend the leader or offer to buy lunch for all the members. I've seen the last one happen firsthand." She comments with a wink.
Natasha introduces you lastly to the pools and then leads you to the entrance of the Institute.
"Do you have your schedule yet?" She asks, and you nod. "Well, it's the only fixed time besides curfew at 10 p.m. Don't let the Drax Guard catch you walking around outside of curfew, okay? He's not very sympathetic, and he always seems to be invisible, so it's impossible to tell where he's hiding waiting for us..." She counters, and you laugh softly at the indignant tone of voice. Nat looks around and nods to a few students who greet her before gesturing further ahead. "The bus stop is over there, those who decided not to stay in the dorm usually use the circular vans and show up here at class time. If you have the day off, you can take one of them to go into town, they are always around and a lot of people like to eat lunch outside of here. Are you 18 yet?"
"Yeah."
"Great, then you can sleep out without permission." She explains with a smile. "The underage students do it on the sly, and usually have to come back before their first class so they don't get spotted by Drax. Anyway, I think that's about it, do you have any questions?"
You lift your chin toward the corner. " The train station doesn't work anymore?"
Nat raises an eyebrow. " You know it there?"
You smile awkwardly, nodding. "Yeah, I used to live here when I was younger. I went to live in New York about five years ago when my dads got divorced."
Nat stares at you and then lets out a small exclamation. "Wait, you're part of the Stark family, from the south side? The former owners of the Power Plant?"
You shift the weight of your feet. "Yep, that' them." You agree clumsily. Nat chuckles.
"Wow, aren’t you guys like super rich?"
You laugh through your nose, scratching the back of your head. "Not anymore..."
Nat slaps her hand on her forehead softly. "Oh, shit, sorry. Of course! All that commotion after all. Your whole family left Westview for that, huh? Why did you come back?"
You clear your throat, looking away. "Look, maybe I should finish organizing my room, I still have to visit the counselor. But the tour was lovely, Natasha, thank you very much for that."
Nat hesitates, but seeing that you were uncomfortable with the questioning, she quickly nods and lets you go.
On the way to the dorms, you try not to think about your old life in Westview, but it is impossible not to.
–//–
Natasha didn't lie about the difficulty of the lessons at the Institute.
You would have thought it was because you were in your last year, but you saw younger students locked in the library with piles of books and articles on their desks when you went to get some, so you knew it must be standard teaching. It made sense, the Institute was a renowned institution throughout the United States.
Your curriculum, fortunately, was not so busy. Apart from the compulsory subjects of regular school and the chosen course, you had a lot of free time, especially in the afternoons. Too bad you spent most of this time studying and doing homework.
It had been almost a month since you had started your classes, and all you had done so far was stay in your room studying, not even visiting the old train station - which by now you knew had been decommissioned shortly after the power plant - or the rest of the city.
At least you were making friends. Peter Parker, Kate Bishop and Yelena Belova were your closest colleagues. Yelena was your next-door neighbor, and on your first day she helped you with the locker room shower trick.
It was a funny situation actually. She was quite inquisitive, and definitely very comfortable with her own body. You left the shower stall in a towel and almost stumbled away when you found the girl leaning on the sink - completely naked - brushing her teeth.
And she stood there, saying nothing, watching you change.
"I like your tattoo." She declared suddenly, and it took you a few seconds to understand that it was with you.
"O-oh, thanks." You say clumsily, sticking your head through the hole in your shirt. "My dad would kill me if he found out though."
She laughs, spitting toothpaste into the sink and washing her mouth out before turning to you again. "You sneaked it out to make it?"
You hesitate, but then clear your throat, denying it. "Actually, no." You mutter. "My other dad took me to make it, for my sixteenth birthday. He wanted... something for me to remember him."
Yelena blinked in surprise, absorbing your confession. And then she grabbed the towel and covered her body. "It's a nice tattoo, he had good taste." She said gently before leaving the garment.
The next day, she sat at your table during breakfast. And during lunch. And the next day too, and the others as well.
You found out that Yelena was Natasha's adopted sister - and she was pleased to hear that you were adopted too - and despite her being a few months younger than Nat, they were both in their last year like you.
In the second week, Yelena was mumbling her way through her calculus homework and was approached by a boy from the next table over.
"I can help if you want." He offered gently, but her grimace widened.
"I don't need your help, Parker." She retorted annoyed, but he sighed.
"Come on Yelena, there's nothing wrong with needing help..."
But Yelena collected her things and left the table, and you were completely confused by the whole thing. The boy sighed again before leaning a little toward you.
"Sorry about that. I'm trying to convince her that there's no shame in needing tutoring." Informed the boy. With that, you exclaim softly.
"Oh, you must be Peter Parker! I saw no ad on the bulletin board."
He smiles. "Yeah, that's me. And you are?"
"Y/N Stark." You say. "If you're good at calculus, do you think you could help me with some of Mrs. Van Dyne's questions? I'm kind of stuck on her paper. I can buy you a snack in repay."
He chuckles. "Don't worry about it."
Peter quickly gathered his belongings and moved to your table, sitting down next to you.
Parker was great company, and he was brilliant. It was up to you to convince Yelena that there was nothing wrong with asking for help though. And with a hamburger and a casual, understanding attitude on the subject, you succeeded.
After that comes the adorable and disastrous Kate Bishop and her latent crush on Yelena - who is probably the only person who hasn't noticed yet.
Kate was one of the richest girls in school - you heard that her family had a security company and several deals with the city council - and she was quite popular. She was in the journalism club with Peter, and practiced archery as a hobby. She had a talent for getting into trouble but never faced any real consequences because her mother, the elegant Eleanor Bishop, was on the parents' council and made generous donations to the institute's funds.
You didn't have an opinion about Kate and didn't want to be swayed by school gossip, so when the girl - who occupied the locker next to yours - came over to greet you as you put your books away, you were nice.
"You're friends with Yelena Belova, right?" Kate tried to sound casual, but you could see the blatant curiosity in her eyes, which made you let out a short laugh.
"Yeah, kind of." You mumbled. Your vague answer made Kate hesitate.
"You're not dating her, are you?" she inquired and to that you chuckled, returning a physics book to your locker before turning your body to Kate.
"No?"
"Oh, great. Cool." She retorted relieved. "Do you know if she's seeing anyone?"
You crossed your arms. "No, but I can tell her that you asked..."
"No!" Kate exclaims quickly, and you have trouble hiding your smile. She takes a deep breath, trying to disguise it. "It was just silly curiosity. I'm Kate Bishop, by the way. Yelena was my colleague in the archer club before she quit it and I'm just wondering why and.... damn it! I'm babbling again. You don't want to know this-"
You cut her off with a small laugh, "Don't worry, Kate. I'm Y/N, it's a pleasure." You said with a nod. "I can find out if Yelena is single, without mentioning any names."
Kate's eyes light up. "Really, you would do that?" She asks hopefully, and you smile gently.
"Sure, I'll catch up with you later." You inform her, closing your locker before leaving her.
You found out that Yelena didn't have a partner in a rather abrupt way. You looked for her around the school for a while after the last period and found her going over some exercises with Peter in the biology lab.
Professor Banner gave you a nod of greeting, turning his attention back to the papers he was reviewing, and you walked over to the workbench where your friends were.
"Hey, Belova!" You called out, taking the free stool on the other side of the table. The two of them looked at you. "Can I ask you something?"
"Sure, Y/N."
"Are you single?"
She raised an eyebrow, and Peter couldn't hold back his laughter - getting elbowed for it. You looked at her curiously.
"Are you interested by any chance? I should warn you that I see you only as a friend..."
You laugh, shaking your head. "No, not me."
She narrows her eyes at you, resting her arms on the countertop. "Then who?"
You shrug. "It was just a curiosity."
Yelena doesn't seem to believe much, looking at you suspiciously. Peter laughs at her reaction.
"She's single, Y/N, partly because everyone in this school is only looking for sex-OUCH!" Peter's speech is interrupted by another hard elbow from the blonde. You stare at them in confusion, and Yelena huffs in irritation.
"You're a big mouth, aren't you, Parker?" She complains as the boy massages his rib.
"Sorry, I'm a little confused..." You mumble, and the two of them exchange glances. Yelena sighs loudly.
"Great, here goes." The blonde says, staring at you. "I haven't told this to anyone apart from my sister and this gossip monger here, and if you have a problem with this and say something stupid I will break your arm." She comments and you raise your eyebrows in shock. But Yelena softens her gaze, looking almost unsure. "It's been a few months since I found out I'm asexual."
You stare at her without knowing what to say, surprised by the sudden confession more than anything else. Yelena grimaces.
"Do you have a problem with that, Stark?" She questions determinedly, clenching one of her fists, and you laugh sheepishly.
"N-no, Yelena, of course not." You mutter quickly. "You know I'm queer too, right?"
"And that doesn't prevent anything." Yelena retorts. "A lot of people in the community discriminate against others."
You swallow dryly, sighing. "Yeah, I know. I'm sorry if you've been through something like that." You say sincerely. "But know that I have no problem with your sexuality. And I'm honored that you trusted me to tell me."
Yelena smiles in appreciation, extending her closed fist for you to hit.
"I told you she was cool." Peter muttered but Yelena didn't seem too happy with him for sharing her secret. When they seemed about to get into a fight, you intervened.
"Anyway, are you aromantic too? Or are you up to date someone..."
Yelena laughed suspiciously. "I'm beginning to think you're hitting on me, Stark."
You rolled your eyes humorously. "I'm not going to say who asked, Yelena, there's no point. But just for the record, I'm sure a lot of people would be interested, besides being super pretty you're really cool."
Yelena rolls her eyes in embarrassment, and Peter makes a provocative mouth sound that almost gets him punched again. You chuckle.
"If the person doesn't care about sex, I'm in. If it's a girl of course." Yelena finally clarifies, and you hum in understanding.
"Fine, I'll let her know." You murmur mysteriously, and Yelena huffs impatiently wanting to know who it is, but you pull away from her hands with a laugh. "I'm going back to the dorm, want to watch a movie with me later?"
"Only if I get to choose." Yelena retorts and you shrug, but Peter complains.
"I don't want to watch anything scary!" He defends himself, but Yelena laughs, pushing her shoulders against him.
"And who says you're invited? It's the girls' dorm, big boy." Yelena reminded with a friendly teasing tone that you don't understand. Peter, surprisingly not bothering to miss the invitation, smiled almost proudly as he rolled his eyes, before turning his attention back to the question book. You put your hands in your pockets.
"All right, it'll just be the two of us then, Belova. See you later?" With Yelena's nod, you wave goodbye to them.
Your friends go back to studying, but before you leave the classroom, Professor Banner calls you over to her desk.
"I couldn't help overhearing the conversation, I do apologize..." He began by leaning over to get something from his drawer. You cleared your throat.
"That's not very polite, sir." You reminded, half worried about Yelena's exposure. But the man offered you a gentle smile, and from the drawer, he pulled out a flyer.
"Don't worry, Mrs.Stark, I haven't heard anything I didn't already imagine. After all, who would Yelena Belova have taken her doubts with if not an adult?"
You almost said 'google' but Bruce was looking at you so kindly that you didn't have the heart to do so. You smiled in return, accepting the paper he held out.
'Queer Alliance Group' was written in bright, colorful letters, with meeting times and the information that the club always had open membership. You chuckled half-heartedly.
"Wow, that's... wow." You didn't quite know how to define it. It sounds cool, but you still had a vision of the old, traditional Westview, and imagining an LGBT youth club in a small town like that was a bit difficult.
"We are no sports group, but we do some recreational activities. We mainly offer therapeutic support, in case you need someone to talk to. You and your friends would be welcome."
You tuck the folded paper away in your jacket pocket. " Thanks, Professor Banner. I'll think about it."
He smiled contentedly and nodded. Before you left, Bruce adjusted his jacket, and you could see the asexual flag brooch on his sweater. He gave you a wink when he noticed you looking, and you smiled before leaving the room.
–//–
You told Kate Bishop that Yelena was single on Thursday after PE. You had just finished using the showers, and Kate, who had the next period - arrived early in the locker room.
You were drying your hair with a towel and almost screamed in fright when the girl appeared in front of you without a blouse.
"Hey!" She greeted you excitedly. "Did you find out that information for me?" She asked like a secret agent, and you laughed nervously because you could see her breasts.
"I'd like to have that conversation with clothes on, please" You try but she grimaces.
"I just got out of archery practice, I need a shower..."
"God, I don't deserve this." You complain, sitting down on the stool to put on your shoes. Kate huffs anxiously, bypassing the row of lockers to approach you.
"Come on, Stark, just tell me. I've been waiting all week for this answer." She dramatizes making you laugh.
"She's single, but if you want something, you'll need to have a heart-to-heart with her." That's what you say to Kate, who stands thoughtfully for a few seconds.
"Okay, I didn't expect that step." She says in a panic and you laugh, shaking your head in disbelief.
"You thought she'd be single and what, magically become your girlfriend?" You tease gently, and Kate blushes, crossing her arms.
"Maybe..." She mutters, getting another laugh out of you.
"Come on, Kate Bishop, I'm sure you've asked someone out before."
She grunts embarrassed. "Okay, first of all, guys do that. And I don't date them, so I have absolutely no idea how to ask anyone out. And girls? They are frightening. Too pretty or too sarky. And Yelena? God, she's both. She'll eat me alive if I even think of going near her..."
"I bet you'd like it if she ate you..." You joke but Kate lets out an indignant exclamation, slapping you on the shoulder that makes you laugh.
"You have to help me!"
"Put on a blouse first." You retort and despite rolling her eyes, she covers her breasts with one of her arms. You laugh. "Thanks, that's better."
Ignoring you, Kate asks, "Will you help me?"
To torment her, you make a thoughtful face the entire time you finish putting on your sneakers. "What's in it for me?"
"My eternal gratitude." She retorts.
You laugh. "Aren't you the sweetest, Miss Bishop?" You retort good-naturedly, getting up now that you were dressed. "I can't sell your eternal gratitude on eBay though."
She rolls her eyes. "I have money if you need it-"
"Jesus, what an idea Kate! Imagine how it would sound if you paid me to date, my friend!"
She shrugs her shoulders. "I would totally pay for Yelena to give me a chance-"
You laugh incredulously. "My god, you're a disaster. Tell you what, I'll think of a favor, and in the meantime, you sit down with me at breakfast and I'll officially introduce you to Yelena, what do you think?"
Kate hesitates, and you know it's because she sits at a table of nearly twenty people - the entire popular gang of this place - who would surely miss her. But her crush on Yelena speaks louder. She agrees almost immediately, and you wrinkle your nose at her expression.
"You're a cutie, Kate Bishop. I'm sure Yelena already noticed you." You say to her, pinching her nose in playfulness, and causing her to blush at the phrase. "See you around."
Easy as that, Kate has become your friend. The first day was a little strange because she didn't quite know how to act when sitting down, but once the social awkwardness was overcome, the three of you got into a very comfortable rhythm.
Yelena however seemed completely clueless that Kate wanted to date her, even though it was obvious to anyone.
On Friday of the last of August, you were putting your books away and Kate practically teleported into the locker next to yours.
"Tell me what I'm doing wrong!" She declared dramatically, and you chuckled without taking your eyes from checking your books.
"I'm going to need more context to answer this, sweetie."
She sighs loudly, her back pressed to the locker. "It's about Yelena, of course! I've done everything, she just doesn't notice me!"
"Everything? You told her you're interested and asked if she felt the same way?"
Kate crosses her arms. "Don't be ridiculous."
You laugh, shaking your head in disbelief. "Seriously, Bishop, you amuse me. Keep thinking Yelena will read your mind, Peter and I have a great time watching you and your puppy dog eyes."
Kate grunted in embarrassment, moving away from the locker only to open the door with the intention of putting away her books.
But a flyer falls at her feet, and she bends down to pick it up.
With a dry laugh, she comments, "Great, my life is already a mess and they want to play tricks on me..."
You put your history book away, turning your face to your friend with curiosity at the complaint. "What's this?" You ask about the pamphlet.
She turns the paper over to you. "It's a silly first-year club, I didn't even know it still existed. I'm sure it's a prank. What a jerk thing to do..." Kate grumbled annoyed, crumpling the paper and storing it in the pocket of the flimsy jacket on her arms before starting to put the books away in her own closet. She went back to talking about Yelena, but you weren't paying attention.
You looked around and noticed two clearly first-year girls standing at the corner of the hallway looking at you. As soon as Kate crumpled the paper, they made faces of disappointment, and once they noticed you were looking, they widened their eyes and tried to cover it up, before practically running out of the hallway.
"Hey, Kate, let me take a look at that flyer again?" You interrupt her - she doesn't mind.
Once you have the crumpled poster back in hand, she comments:
"I think it used to be a mix of science group and biker gang, but nobody ever really talked about it."
You force a smile, looking away from your friend. "And what else do you know about them?"
She shrugs. "Not much, as I said, I didn't even think it existed anymore. It was one of the banned clubs when that accident at the dam happened."
You gasp slightly. "What accident at the dam?"
Kate smiles sadly. "I don't know much about it, it was my freshman year so I didn't know the kid. But he was pretty popular here, he was on the running team. You've never seen the memorial?"
You deny it with your head. Kate sighs, putting away the last book before beckoning you to follow her.
She leads you outside through the emergency exit, into the outer gardens. And stops in front of a small sign at the entrance to the gym. It was completely vandalized, so you never noticed what was written beyond the graffiti before.
"Here, it was a very sad thing when it happened. The dean even made a speech because the kid was his stepson." Narrated Kate, pointing to the stone. "He was one of the founders of that club, I guess, so I didn't imagine they would go on without him."
You clear your throat so as not to show any kind of emotion in your voice. "Yeah, that's not very common."
Kate doesn't notice, putting her hand in her pockets. "Anyway, I'm sure it was just some prank. I never signed up for the Mystery Club, and honestly, I have enough trouble already."
You force a smile at her, and Kate exclaims when your cell phone alarm rings.
"Shit! I totally forgot I have a dinner date with my mom and my new idiot stepdad. Wish me luck!" She quickly says goodbye, kissing your cheek before running towards the dorms.
You bend down, to get some of the dust collecting on the iron plate stuck in the grass. Your fingers trace the graffiti on the small photo next to the tribute message.
"Mustache would have suited you, Pietro." You whisper sadly before standing up.
–//–
Your determination to find out more about the mystery club dragged on for the rest of the week.
Since you didn't know many people at school, you couldn't just ask anyone about it. Imagining the approach made you laugh.
Hey, do you know anything about the secret club founded by the boy who died in the dam about three years ago?
Scary, honestly.
Peter and Kate, having been first-years at the time the club closed, knew no more than what you could find out on the Internet about the tragic accident in Westview. ‘A 15-year-old boy drowns in a local dam during a school outing. Grieving neighborhood, all feelings with Dean Charles Xavier over the loss of his stepson.’
Flipping through the news made your stomach turn, so you risked asking Yelena, who didn't want to talk about it.
In fact, she was angry with you. "Why are you asking about this?"
You swallowed dryly, clumsily. "I just wanted to know a little more about how it was..."
"It was fucking horrible, Y/N, that's how it was!" She retorted angrily, closing the locker tightly.
She came to apologize the next day, regretting that she had yelled. She sat down next to you and pulled out of her pocket an old, crumpled photo.
"I found this in some locked boxes yesterday after I lost my temper with you. Sorry again." She mutters, pointing to the photo. "His name was Pietro Maximoff, he joined on a running scholarship here, and he was my best friend."
You swallowed dryly, picking up the photograph. Yelena looked away, at the green field in front of her where besides the team's people training, some people were practicing running.
The photo is full of people you know and doesn't know - some colleagues you've seen in the hall, Natasha with a longer hairstyle, and Pietro with his arms around Yelena as if he were climbing on top of her. Everyone looks so happy.
"The Dean told everyone we were on an official science club activity, an exploration tour. But that's bullshit." Yelena counters with a sad laugh, "It was a stupid party, with stupid people, and everything was so stupidly fun that nobody cared how much alcohol was hidden in the drinks."
You swallowed dryly, staring at Yelena. "Weren't you all 15 years old?"
She gave another wry laugh, spreading her own legs wide. "As if that ever stops anyone." She retorted upset. " Either way, there were older people, from the later years. That's why Pietro wanted to go so badly. He wanted to get in with the seniors, to make the captain of the team. I just wanted Natasha not to think I was a loser."
"Nat doesn't think that." You assure her, and Yelena smiles sadly, nodding in appreciation.
She sighs lightly. "One minute, we're all dancing and laughing. And Pietro is gone for two seconds, and the next thing I know, the police are on the spot, organizing a search inside the dam for my friend's body." Yelena fell silent, sobbing, and you put an arm around her.
"I'm really sorry, Yelena." You say to her, hiding your own tears. "I'm so sorry for asking."
She gives a tearful laugh, shaking her head. "Don't worry, I know you didn't mean any harm."
Once she has calmed down, you pull your arm away to return the photo, but she refuses.
"You can keep it."
You frown. "But he was important to you."
She smiles, looking away. "Pietro used to tell me about a friend who left Westview before he joined the Institute. Someone he loved, and missed dearly, and who was smart enough to have joined that school along with him. Someone who started the Mystery club at Westview elementary school."
You swallowed dryly, looking away from the photo, Pietro Maximoff's smiling face stared back at you.
"What else did he say?" You asked with emotion. Yelena sighed.
"That he was very sad to lose you and his mother in the same period." At Yelena's speech, you sniffled, nodding in agreement. "But he also said he never blamed you for leaving, you know?"
You laugh in disbelief, wiping your face on the sleeve of your blouse. "Hard to believe that one, Lena. And honestly, I would have understood if he hated me. My parents dragged me out of this town in a hurry, and I couldn't even stay for the memorial."
Yelena shakes her head. "Y/N, you were a child. You couldn't stay if your parents decided you wouldn't." She reasons, and you smile sadly.
"It doesn't matter, Yelena." You retort. "He needed me here. They both did."
Yelena swallows dryly but sighs in defeat afterward. She waits a moment to speak again.
"I know you probably think he hated you for leaving, but Pietro told me he understood." She continues. "He really understood, Y/N. He said that if there was a chance to heal your father, and if the chance was outside the pollution of the power plant, that he understood the rush. He would have chosen to do the same for his mom if there was time."
You sigh in emotion, trying to control your tears.
"Thank you Yelena." You say sincerely, being able to feel at least some of the guilt you have carried for so long leave your back. Pietro had no way to say he forgave you for leaving, so Yelena's words would have to serve as some consolation.
"Don't mention it." Yelena retorts with a smile.
You watch the sunset begin to happen, and it is beautiful from the bleachers. The runners are wrapping up their training, and Yelena takes her gaze from the scenery to you.
"After Pietro left, the club was banned, and the gang drifted apart." She recounts. "If someone reactivated it, none of the old members are part of it."
You blink at the information and nod in appreciation afterward. You put the photograph away in your pocket, and stand up.
"You should talk to her, Y/N." Yelena says before you leave, and you swallow dryly because you know exactly who she is talking about just by her expression.
You put your hands in your pockets and give an awkward laugh.
"I was kind of hoping to find her here." You say, and Yelena smiles sadly.
"Sorry, you were late." Yelena retorts. "Wanda was expelled last year."
You widen your eyes slightly, more impressed than anything. "Shit, what did she do?"
Yelena shrugs her shoulders getting up. "The question is what she didn't do..."
You chuckle. "My god?"
Yelena grins as she shakes the dust off her pants and approaches you, patting you on the shoulder to get you to follow her.
"Where do I start? Property damage, or maybe that time she told counselor Harkness to stop being a two-faced bitch in the middle of the hallway..."
–//–
So far, you had little information about the Mystery Club.
It was reactivated in secret by someone - Yelena didn't think it was any of its former veteran members, but that didn't make much sense to you. Why would someone who had no contact at all - like this year's first-years - be interested in a club banned from the school after a horrible accident?
But when you looked for Yelena's old friends - the original gang as she wrote behind the photograph - none of them seemed to have the profile to establish a secret club.
Pietro, obviously, wasn't. Yelena was beyond the options as well, the whole thing was too sad for her. Natasha had too many activities occupying her schedule. Carol Danvers had the necessary popularity, but she had just been promoted to team captain, so she wouldn't have time, and it wouldn't make sense to risk her position for a banned club. Her girlfriend Maria Rambeau was known for following the moral code of ethics of the school to the letter, as well as being class president and having the perfect resume. She would not risk tarnishing her record for this. Clint Barton and Maria Hill had the profile of troublemakers, but they were too antisocial to start something like this.
Wanda was no longer part of the school. Still, part of you knows that only she would have the audacity.
It had been exactly one month since you had been at the institute, and your search had come to a dead end. You needed more information to continue, and your remaining option was to approach the girls you believed had left the flyer in Kate Bishop's locker.
They were definitely avoiding you because, for days, you didn't see them around. But finally, after sneaking into the theater during rehearsal, you found them.
"Don't say anything and she'll go away."
You laughed at the smaller girl's whisper. "I can hear you, you know." You told them.
"Pretend you are not seeing her." The other whispered back, but you grimaced, putting your hands in your pockets as you approached them.
"Well, Romeo and Juliet, I wonder if we could have a chat?" You asked, teasing about the rehearsal robes and both of them sighed before the smaller one retorted you:
"I don't know what you think you saw, but it's not what you think!" She declares. You raise an eyebrow.
"I saw two brats trying to play a trick on my friend."
The taller one lets out an exclamation. "It wasn't a prank! Shit, Kamala, she thought it was a prank! That's why she crumpled up the invitation and-"
"America, stop talking!" Kamala elbowed her friend, but you were smiling.
You looked around at the rest of the drama group that was leaving the place at the end of class and lowered your tone.
"If you don't want me to turn this flyer and your name into the principal, you will answer my questions, okay?" You say, and they sigh in defeat, nodding. You laugh lightly. "Don't look so sad, I promise I'm great at keeping secrets. Definitely better than you guys. Come on, let's go for a walk."
America and Kamala follow you to the parking area, the emptiest space in the Institute. They look equally dissatisfied.
"All right, I want to know who reactivated the club."
The girls widen their gazes in surprise at the straight question, and it is Kamala who babbles:
"W-we don't know that!" She says. "We don't know members of different levels. Everyone gets an invitation in the locker, and then the missions-"
"Missions?" You interrupt curiously, and America sighs.
"It's like a scouting club. We get missions and rewards."
You cross your arms. "Then why all the secrecy?"
Kamala and America laugh, shrugging. "Because it's fun." They answer together, you laugh impressed. They are children. Still, the story is weird.
America sighs. "Look, everything in this place is over-supervised. It's nice to have something that doesn't have to go through dozens of student council approvals or reviews."
"Yeah, the missions are fun." Kamala adds. "The Dean would never let us go camping to see a solstice or make records of the wild animals in the local Forest. He would keep everyone locked up in that building if he could."
"We just do cool stuff in nature and take pictures of the local town legends. It's harmless. Can you please not rat us out?" America asked making you smile.
"I still have another question." You retort, raising a finger. "There's nothing wrong with the activities you talked about, but I would be surprised if a 17-year-old had any interest in them. Why recruit Kate?"
They shrug. "We just follow our mission."
You huff softly. "You said they get a mission invitation, can I see it?"
Kamala and America exchange hesitant glances, but the taller one nods to the other. Soon, Kamala pulls her backpack forward and rummages through her materials for a moment. Then she takes out a folded card and hands it to you.
The typed handwriting makes you smile. "Lovely, really. Quite rustic." You scoff managing to get a roll of the eyes from both of them. On the paper, it reads simply recruitment: Katherine Bishop, Third Year.
"Can we go now?" Kamala asks, but you deny it with your head.
"What is the reward for recruitment?" You question. America bites the inside of her cheek thoughtfully.
"I think it's a rated paper of the chosen subject." She confesses and you let out a surprised exclamation.
"Harmless you said, huh?" you comment, ignoring Kamala elbowing America. You tuck the invitation away in your pocket. "I'll keep this, girls, thank you very much."
"But-"
"And it's a pleasure to officially meet you two. I am Y/N Stark, original founder of the Mystery Club." You declare, patting each shoulder of the girls in shock before walking past them.
You make your way over to the pair smoking in a secluded area of the parking lot. Colleagues you haven't had a chance to talk to yet.
"Are you lost, Stark? The library is the other way." The rude teasing almost intimidated you to turn on your heels and head back inside, but Clint Barton might be tall but he wasn't two. Although, Maria Hill giggled and had muscles exposed by her tank top that made you swallow dryly.
"I was just chatting with those first years." You start clumsily, shifting the weight of your feet. "Funny story actually, they put up a flyer-"
"Touching, really." Clint cuts in impatiently, wafting a little smoke forward. "Why don't you share that with someone who actually wants to hear you? Like your angry friend or that tranny?" He mocks with a chuckle, but you frown in confusion and Maria clears her throat.
"Come on Clint, no need to get personal." Murmurs the girl, but the boy just rolls his eyes, taking a long drag.
You step forward. "What are you talking about?"
Your question makes Clint laugh, tilting his head as he tosses the smoke upward. Away from Maria, not you.
"Shit, I forgot you're new. She didn't even watch last year's nonsense, Hill." Commented the boy. Maria was no longer smiling, clearly uncomfortable with her friend's posture. Clint puffed again. "I'm talking about that little faggot Parker, of course. Although he can't be gay, right? He's a girl. I don't know how that shit works."
You were in shock at the complete offensiveness. You didn't know about Peter's transition of course, he had known you for less than a month and probably had no reason to tell you.
Clint laughed, shrugging at Mary's grumpy expression and you swallowed dryly.
"Don't make fun of my friend, Barton." You warned, he laughed, putting out his cigarette on the wall.
"Sure, I won't bother that She-male if she stays away from me!"
If there's one thing Steve Rogers has taught you, it's that violence is never the way. He also taught you how to throw a good right jab.
And you only stopped when your hand was bleeding, and someone pulled you around the waist.
Maria was dragging Clint away from you, so who was-
"What a way to see you again, kotenok." Wanda panted softly in your ear.
You shuddered, the anger completely dissipating. She helped you stand up straight, and she was standing right there in front of you. You almost couldn't believe it.
"Wanda, what are you...?"
But she was looking behind you, and she grimaces at Barton's bloodied face. And then she looks back to where the Drax security guard and some students who saw the fight from the race track start pointing.
"Come on Wanda, she'll be expelled if they catch her here." Maria warns and the brunette in front of you doesn't wait, grabbing your uninjured hand and pulling you away.
Ignoring your shock or the adrenaline coursing through your veins, Wanda opens the door of a pickup truck and pushes you inside. She climbs into the driver's seat, wasting no time in starting up.
You see in the rearview mirror the pool of blood on the ground where Clint's head was and gasp slightly, trying to stop shaking and keep the tears of anger and confusion in your eyes.
Wanda starts the car, and the parking lot and the Institute are left behind.

The special investigators when they were in CCG academy
Kuroiwa: the silent guy. Seems hard to understand at first but actually very reliable. People respect him for not even flinch at injuries and always carry people to the infirmary
Shinohara: the funny guy who always makes dirty jokes. Once sneaked adult magazine and alcohol in the class, it did not end well. The teachers think he's a troublemaker but the students love him. When he was not running around making troubles he would explain the lessons to anyone who came to him because he is patient and good at explanation and
Mougan: Sometimes refuse to go inside some places because "there's a malevolent spirit here". People begged him to do psychic stuffs like contacting someone who died and called him a liar when he refused. A true party goer, if there was a party you would see Mougan there. The lecturers asked him many times to not scream while firing weapons
Aura: the popular girl. She hold the record of "getting the most confession in one day" and "getting the most confession from both genders". She was so pretty some people suggested her to be in S2 squad or become a lecturer so there's less chance to be injured. She never speaks to them again. She has a friendly rivalry with Mado Kasuka and people loved seeing them compete against each other. When not competing they would rant about how CCG treats women, with Kiyoko swore that she would never get married and Kasuka said she would only marry someone in this line of work and fully respects her will.
Ui: "what's this rich pretty boy doing here?" "He will get killed the first day on battlefield" "I heard his family donated a large sum of money for CCG" Ui's academic life is full of rumors and doubt, which made him really upset at first. Until he learned that he could do better than most of those people lol. Got mistaked for a girl easily, refused to change his iconic bowl cut
Houji: the secret troublemaker. Unlike Shinohara who did everything publicly to gain attention from his fellow classmates, Houji took pride in messing things up without anyone notice because no one thought it was his handy work. He stayed in the dormitory of the academy and never returned home during holidays. People like him, he didn't have any friend.
Marude: he was in a biker gang and he was super proud of it. Confused about why he prefers looking at boys to girls. Talked a lot during lessons but he can answer every question perfectly. He was very good at shooting but not as much for heavy weapons due to his physical, which made him kinda jealous/mad at the buff, strong guys
Arima: Marude tried to make him go to the academy for one day. He was late and missed the first two periods and didn't know what to do so he just stand outside the class until people led him in. People surrounded him during lunchtime to ask if the rumors about him were true and caused a scene in the cafeteria. He was too good for the practical lessons but too far behind for the theory lessons (like "why should we calculate the RC regeneration rate? We just need to kill them fast"). He dropped out after 2 days.

euphemia potter was a known busybody. not the type of ms. rachel lynde from avonlea, but the type of warm sort of interest in the business of people around her. to make matters even worse, she was bored. fleamont told her all his secrets, james was overtly obvious about everything, but sirius black was something of a mystery himself.
well, not really a mystery, as she knew his whole family history and most of his little secrets. but his love life. it seemed it had been in neglect, and rightly so, as sirius had been recovering from his abusive past in his new home with the potters. but now sirius had moved on mostly from the trauma, euphemia began to ponder. she knew that sirius had used to be a player (courtesy of james), but he was also a changed (and still a ladies’) man. he never brought girls over to the house like james had said he had brought girls over to his dormitory, and he never spoke of any known ladies to euphemia. euphemia had almost thought sirius might not be into girls or boys or anyone at all.
“darling…” fleamont interrupted her chain of thoughts, setting down a cup of hot tea in front of her, “you’ve that look on your face. the one that tells me you are up to no good.”
“nonsense, fleamont,” euphemia replied, “i’m simply in thought. now our sirius would do well with a good young girl like him, wouldn’t he?”
james joined the table, “oh, dear old mate sirius has got affections for a good young girl, mum.”
“really?!” euphemia’s eyes were wide with anticipating excitement.
“oh yes- he turns cherry red and into a hot mess of honey in front of her. you should know her, she’s a good friend of lily’s, her name’s-”
“good morning parents!” sirius bounded excitedly down the stairs, presenting euphemia and fleamont with parchment letters of gratefulness and small excerpts of what he called the ‘sirius bulletin- back in black’. he placed a chaste kiss on euphemia’s cheek and settled himself down, “‘lo, brother.”
james grinned, mouth full of eggs as he nodded ruffling sirius’ hair affectionately. sirius scowled, “not the hair, james!”
james swallowed, “i bet you wouldn’t mind if it was-”
sirius started chuckling very very loudly, almost shouting, “well dear mother and father, the weather is nice today, isn’t it?”
euphemia was not distracted by sirius, although fleamont was quietly laughing to himself.
“why james, who wouldn’t sirius mind with his hair?”
james smirked at sirius, “it’s, drumroll please,”
fleamont lead an enthusiastic drumroll whilst sirius sat scowling.
“i’ll let sirius tell you,” james sat back, arms folded, quite satisfied with his work.
all eyes turned onto sirius, who sighed, “not telling.”
fleamont could sense sirius wanted to move on, so he changed the subject.
“are we having anyone over during the holidays?”
james nodded, “lily, remus and y/n. you haven’t met y/n, i believe, but as i was saying she’s a good friend of lily’s.”
whilst fleamont was busy figuring out times and room organisation with james and sirius, euphemia had pieced together the clues. y/n? she wondered about just the type of girl who sirius had fallen for. was she witty or kind or both? did she play quidditch? did she have feelings for sirius just like he did her? did she know that sirius liked her?
and all her questions were answered when she met you, standing brightly next to a fierce lily evans outside the luxurious mansion that the four lived in.
you were the loveliest guest, with proper manners, a firm handshake and polite “please”s and “thank you”s. you were so overwhelmingly good natured and charismatic that even fleamont, usually stern and cold towards strangers, took an instant liking towards you. euphemia felt her heart jump as you commented on on the state of the flowers outside and the well-kept ness of the house. her eyes constantly darted between sirius and you, watching the way sirius looked at you like you were the only thing that mattered to him.
soon you were tucked into a couch, making flowing conversation with euphemia and fleamont, who often exchanged glances.
“so, y/n,” euphemia began, “what house are you in?”
you smiled, “i’m in gryffindor, mrs. potter, just like the others. the only reason being that i fell in platonic love with lily and just so wanted to be in her house in first year, so when i went up to the sorting hat i literally asked the guy to put me in gryffindor.”
“how is your potions’ grade?” fleamont asked and euphemia pinched his ear affectionately.
“monty, you can’t ask that!”
“no it’s fine, it’s alright really. i’m alright at potions, i guess,” you said modestly.
you heard james call from the dining room, “alright, y/n? you’re better than ME!”
fleamont raised his eyebrows, “that really doesn’t say much about your potions’ skill. james is best exceeds expectation at potions.”
you laughed. “i do really enjoy potions though, mr. potter-”
“of course you do!” sirius yelled from the same place as james, “you’re literally top of the class!”
you rolled your eyes fondly, “i’m not, mr. potter. however i heard that you own your very own shampoo company. how’s that?”
“you can call me fleamont, y/n,” fleamont said kindly, nodding at euphemia as she raised her eyebrows (as if to say “really! first name basis!”), “shampoo may seem silly- but it’s exceptionally important…” he rambled on and you watched in sort of a hopeful amusement that one day maybe someone might look at you the way euphemia kept her eyes on fleamont as he talked about the things he loved.
“now now, fleamont, you’re boring the poor girl, you can talk to her later about your potioning,” euphemia nudged her husband playfully, “let’s spice things up,” she said just as sirius came into the living room, hot chocolate in hand, plopping down on the couch besides you and handing you the extra. you smiled and uttered a grateful thanks, taking a sip, “do you have any…romantic ventures?”
you could feel sirius’ gaze burning into you curiously. euphemia hid her amused expression. she saw through her eyes sirius, whose pupils might as well be hearts by now. love was something she rarely saw in sirius, who always hid his feelings. it seemed as though he just couldn’t hide his affections for you.
you scrunched up your nose, “i prefer currently that i do not, mrs. pot- euphemia,” you hastily corrected as you saw euphemia give you a faux angry look, “i want to focus on myself before others, i still need a lot of work done on my everything. y’know?”
“really, no interested boys in you? you are quite a wonderful young lady.”
you grew bashful, “no interested boys, euphemia.”
sirius spoke, shifting closer towards you, “what makes you think that?”
you shrugged, not caring to answer until you saw both fleamont and euphemia lean in at the same time with interest. you admired their similar mannerisms and their complementing personalities.
“honestly, no guys have really shown interest, i guess?”
you watched fleamont and euphemia smirk simultaneously and you just had to say something about their connection, breaking your professional tone.
“enough about me, you guys just have such similar mannerisms!” you gushed.
sirius laughed next to you.
“you are such a sweet little thing,” euphemia beamed, “isn’t she, fleamont? you flatter us too much. but i hope you don’t mind that you have to share a room. unfortunately most of our house is under maintenance and the heating charm is quite worn in the corners of the place.”
“what? i thought you said-” sirius began, confused.
“hush, sirius,” fleamont replied.
“of course i don’t mind, euphemia, i’m grateful for such good hosts. where shall i be staying?”
“well, lily is with james in his room, and remus is in the only free room, since the full moon is near,” you nodded in understanding, “so, dear, you’ll have to share a room with sirius, if that’s quite all right with you?” euphemia watched as sirius’ cheeks indeed turned cherry red and he turned to you to make sure you were okay with it, eyes hopeful but still smitten.
you smiled, “that sounds quite all right, thank you very much,” you said graciously, even though staying in the same room as sirius was the last thing that you wanted to do right now. you were hoping that maybe this trip may have made you develop immunity to the sirius black charm that all the girls at school fell for, “if that’s okay with sirius?”
sirius nodded, “it’s great with me.”
euphemia clapped her hands together, “well isn’t that just perfect?! i’ll let you two get to it!”
she and fleamont left.
you beamed at sirius, “your parents are so nice, s!”
“it’s only been a minute since i saw you and you’re calling me ‘s’?”
“your name’s too long to say anyway,” you grinned, “not bothered enough to pronounce it.”
“my name is amazing, but i can think of a name more beautiful than any other.”
he tapped his chin, a fierce but sincere glint in his eyes.
you smiled, “let’s hear it then. it better not be napoleon.”
“it’s y/n. ever heard of it?”
“never! wow! that really is a wonderful name!” you took his tone as jokingly flirting. even if he was genuine he probably did this with everyone. and now you were overthinking.
you and him laughed as you climbed up the stairs. the door was open to sirius’ bedroom, where you could see muggle vinyls, posters of bands, a clock ticking haphazardly, pictures strewn across the walls in a very sirius way.
“right, bathroom is on the left, kitchenette on the right.”
“is it alright with you if i take a shower?” you asked politely.
“it’s perfect. go ahead.”
you let the symbolic grime of the journey wash off and sighed in a sort of happy relief as you climbed into fluffy pyjamas and quickly did skincare and brushed your teeth, cleaning up the bathroom after use, before going into the room. sirius wasn’t there- you expected he was probably preparing the other room for remus’ arrival tomorrow. immediately you set down a blanket onto the floor and-
“absolutely not,” sirius stood, leaning against the door, hair washed, in his silk black pyjamas, arms folded, “nuh uh, not in a million years.”
“but it’s your bed!”
“it’s clean, if that’s what you’re worried about,” sirius joked, and you laughed.
“no, it belongs to you, so you should sleep in it!”
“look, i know we’re not gonna let each other sleep on the floor, and the bed is pretty big, so let’s just sleep on it together.”
you contemplated it.
“it’s only if you’re comfortable with it, i can totally ask mum to bring a couch in here or something,” sirius said quickly.
“it’s fine, it won’t be an issue,” you gave him a small smile, inwardly melting at his concern, “i’ll survive,” you sighed dramatically and were quick to back up onto the bed as you saw sirius looming dangerously.
he grinned, “what do you mean, survive? you’ll thrive!”
you laughed, “sure sure, if you call thrive as in nearly freeze to death in your version of the antarctic ocean, then okay, i’ll thrive,” you cast him a mock-disapproving glance.
“i get too hot sleeping, so i did a cooling charm on the room. i guess you could say it comes with being hot.”
“oh yes, you are so hot,” you humoured him, hovering awkwardly near the bed. he pat the side of the bed next to him, red and gold checkered quilt looking fluffy and thick.
you smiled nervously, climbing into the warm covers. sirius muttered a spell underneath his breath and the quilt multiplied.
“so we don’t need to play tug of war, though i must warn you i am very hot so-”
“you won’t need your side of it,” you finished for him, grinning, “yay, more for me then!!”
you let your head fall back onto the pillow you had brought from home, wrapping the quilt around your body, shivering. sirius was grinning beside you.
“it’s so cold,” you whined, grabbing onto more of the quilt, deciding for now this would have to do. soon you were snoring away in your dreams, sirius still wondering how you fell asleep so quickly.
sirius was up, just staring into space, thinking. he hoped he wouldn’t have his nightmares tonight. that would be so embarrassing for him, especially in front of you.
he was up for a few hours, just overthinking, when you began to shiver. he shook his head fondly, gently standing up onto wooden floors to retrieve the extra blanket he always had in case.
he set it onto you, crawling over you to spread it out evenly. he froze when your arms involuntarily wrapped around him, smiling at the heat that radiated off of his body. you probably had thought sirius was some warm hot water bottle that you could latch onto. he turned red, and his heart sped up even more than it was already beating.
he tried to pry your arms from his waist, but they didn’t budge. so he rolled over finding a comfortable position for him to sleep, and making sure you looked comfortable too, he curled his arms around you and fell quickly into dormancy.
in the morning, euphemia crept slowly into the room, fresh towels under arm. usually sirius did his own laundry (he insisted), but euphemia wanted an excuse to see if her plan had worked. she was happily greeted by the sight of you curled up in sirius’ arms, sirius sleeping peacefully.
fleamont appeared on the other side of the door, rubbing the sleep from his eyes as he glanced over fondly to his wife.
“wha-”
euphemia raised a hand to fleamont’s lips, shushing him, and nodding her head at you two. fleamont stifled a chuckle, walking back to his bedroom. euphemia followed suit.
you were not woken by birds chirping or sunlight streaming through the windows, but overwhelming heat. it was so hot. blinking, still half-asleep, you barely made out silk and dark hair.
you confusedly looked around. oh.
sirius was still sleeping, mouth parted, sun tracing the features of his skin. his cheekbones were high, hollowed out cheeks so grand, lashes long and dark. you felt your heart stop at his utterly lovely state. you wished you looked as beautiful as he did that early in the morning, but you probably never would look as stunning as him ever.
quietly, you made your way to the bathroom and did the things that needed to be done. then you descended the stairs of the place, looking around to absorb all the paintings and marble and chandeliers. the other rooms didn’t look like they needed maintenance- they looked perfect. whatever.
euphemia was already awake, discussing something with fleamont. “morning!” you chirped, sitting down next to fleamont, grabbing a piece of toast and filling your cup with lukewarm water.
“how did you sleep, darling?” euphemia enquired, strange glint in her eye twinkling.
you blushed, unaware that euphemia had seen you cuddled up to sirius, “excellent!”
“sirius was well-behaved?” fleamont asked, hiding a smile.
“he was fine,” you answered, taking a bite of the toast, “how did you guys sleep?”
“i was woken up by snoring,” euphemia giggled at fleamont’s disgruntled expression.
“james’.” fleamont rolled his eyes and you laughed.
“so where are you five planning to go today?”
you looked out. the sky was glossy grey, as if threatening to storm. you shrugged, “it looks pretty terrible out. probably just staying in one of our rooms chatting and working. me and sirius are working on history of magic notes!”
fleamont raised an eyebrow, looking at euphemia, shocked, “our sirius?” he asked, “notes?”
you nodded, “it was actually him who suggested that we should, i never would have expected it! he’s changed during the past two years. it’s like he’s working harder. but really he doesn’t need to, he’s too smart for the rest of us even without studying.”
euphemia noticed how you seemed to admire sirius. but admiration and love were completely different things.
she glanced over at fleamont.
(do you think she likes him?)
[i have yet to know. butttt, he’s only working that hard because it means he can be with her.]
(oh gosh that is nowhere as near romantic as you.)
[i know.]
euphemia grinned, beginning to gossip with you about school and her neighbours and james and sirius, fleamont occasionally looking up from his newspaper over to you, smiling.
a few days had passed now at the potter household.
no matter how far away you slept from sirius, you still ended up cuddling him. one night you were so very frustrated with yourself, so you threw yourself out of bed and went downstairs to get a glass of water. there euphemia was knitting, humming a tune to herself as she enjoyed the quiet peace of the night world.
you made yourself as inconspicuous as possible, pouring yourself a glass of water to calm your frantic feelings down. you were furious at yourself for loving sirius. mainly because you knew your heart was bound to shatter like frail glass because of this unhealthy attachment.
“you okay, sweetie?” euphemia asked. you nodded, “yeah,” you uttered, unconvincingly.
you both were silent for a little while, you admiring the view of the courtyard at night, illuminated by lovely warm lights and roses pink with nourishment. even in the dark, their colour was astonishing.
“sirius is great for you,” euphemia said suddenly.
you nearly spit out your water, spluttering a “that was random-”
euphemia giggled, glad she was now being treated not like a teacher or member of authority, but like a friend, “it’s true though.”
“sirius is great for everybody, euphemia,” you laughed, silently thinking i’m not special, “that’s what a friend should be.”
“well is he a friend to you?” euphemia asked bluntly.
you giggled, “i’d hope so.”
“no, y/n, is he more of a, how should i say this? is he someone you would date?”
“he’s certainly got the right qualities. he’s kind of like james, you know? 10/10.”
“so you would date him?”
“OH NO, i am so sorry, i would not date james, i was just saying-” you stumbled over your words, “nonono, i would never date james, he’s just dateable objectively.”
“no, i meant sirius!” euphemia laughed.
“oh. maybe i would, maybe i wouldn’t,” you grinned brightly at euphemia, a cheeky look in your eyes, “nah, just kidding, i’ll leave your prized son alone. don’t worry.”
“please don’t.”
“i won’t actually leave him alone, euphemia, i’ll just leave the romantic stuff up to another girl.”
“wouldn’t you like to do the romantic stuff?”
did she know you had a crush on him? surely not. and you weren’t about to expose yourself in front of his mother.
you grinned, saying lazily, “nah.”
“sweetheart, i’m 60 years old. if i know, i know.”
you narrowed your eyes, trying to decide whether she was being genuine or just trying to bait you into saying that you did like sirius.
“sure.”
darn this is going to be hard, euphemia thought, but i’m euphemia potter and i will make it happen.

Summary: Severus has a secret Slytherin girlfriend; she's fierce and intelligent, and she can't stand James and Lily for the life of her. She stands up for Severus and puts James and Lily in their place, and announces her relationship with Severus and shows him that he's loved and important.

"Come on, Sev! Let's go outside and get you some fresh air," you insisted, wrapping your hand around your boyfriend's upper arm and struggling to pull him out of his bed.
"No, Y/N. I don't want to go outside," Severus grumbled, pulling out of your grasp and rolling onto his side.
You sighed and laid down next to him, spooning him. Severus tried to pull away again but you had already wrapped your arms around his waist, securing him in place.
"Is it James again?" you asked him softly.
Severus hesitated before nodding slowly. "It's always James. And Lily too. I hate seeing them together, acting like they're better than everyone. James followed me to the bathroom earlier and him and Sirius Black beat me up in there."
"Do you want me to go take care of them? As in, putting them in their place?" you offered, soothingly rubbing Severus's side.
Severus turned to face you and you let go of him. He sighed resentfully and pinched the bridge of his nose. "I don't want you to get hurt, my love. You know how James is. Plus, Lily would just stand there and watch you get bullied, just like she did to me..."
Severus trailed off, frowning deeply. "I don't want you to get hurt," he repeated firmly.
"I don't really care if I do, to be honest," you shrugged. "I'd rather put them in their place than sit here on the sidelines."
Severus pouted at you, clearly unwilling to let you go and fight them. You reassuringly kissed his pout and got out of bed, smoothing out your Slytherin robes.
"I'll be right back, Sev," you told him, heading towards the dormitory door. "Don't worry about me, okay? I'll be fine. If I get in trouble for fighting, so what? I'd rather be in detention than let those who have hurt you get their way."
"Wait!" Severus exclaimed as you passed through the doorway.
You stopped walking, turning to face him with raised eyebrows.
"I love you," he said softly, and you grinned widely at him.
"I love you more, baby. I'll be right back." You blew him a kiss and then exited the boys' dormitory, walking across the Slytherin common room and out into the dungeons.
You eventually found James and his cronies hexing a miserable Slytherin second year in the courtyard.
"Stop!" you yelled at them. They reluctantly stopped hexing the second year, who shot you a thankful look and scrambled away.
"Oh no, it's Snivelly's best friend," James groaned, making gagging noises as Sirius burst into laughter beside him.
"Oh no, it's Lily's arrogant, bully boyfriend," you retorted harshly.
Sirius stopped laughing immediately. James narrowed his eyes at you and menacingly approached you, his wand drawn and ready.
"Watch that mouth of yours," James spat, and you let out a cold, short laugh.
"Me? I'm the one who should watch my mouth!?" you asked James incredulously, reaching for your wand in your robes.
"Hey, leave my boyfriend alone!"
You spun around to see Lily marching towards you, looking furious.
You rolled your eyes and scoffed. "Great, now Miss Goody Two Shoes is here."
"Be quiet, Y/N. At least I'm not friends with a blood purist," Lily said coolly, standing in front of James like she was shielding him from you.
You stared blankly at her and laughed coldly again. "In case you forgot, Sev apologized to you. He's changed for the better unlike James, who, if you forgot, sexually assaulted my best friend and has bullied him for seven years straight!"
It was Lily's turn to laugh and you wanted to slap that stupid smug smile off of her face. "Y/N, you and your Slytherin friends are nothing but a bunch of Death Eaters in the making."
She turned to face James, kissing his cheek and telling him, "Come on, babe, let's go. We don't need to waste our time with her-"
WHAM. You sent your fist straight into James's nose, and he fell to the ground with a cry of pain.
You quickly disarmed Lily, Remus, Peter, and Sirius before they could interfere, and you jumped on top of James, punching him repeatedly.
"This is what you get for assaulting my best friend and making him miserable!" you screamed at James, continuing to batter him with your fists.
A sickening crunch echoed through the air; you had broken his nose.
"Stop it!" Lily screamed from behind you, trying to wrestle you off of James. You roughly elbowed her in the stomach and whipped around with your wand drawn, about to cry out a defensive spell when Professor McGonagall came running into the courtyard.
"What is going on here!?" she demanded angrily, looking from you to Lily to James, who was groaning in pain on the ground as he clutched his bloody nose.
"She started it!" Lily cried, frantically pointing at you.
"No, James started it! He started it when he began bullying Sev in his first year! James deserved it!" you exclaimed at Professor McGonagall, who was absolutely livid.
"Miss Y/L/N! Fighting another student is never acceptable under any circumstances!" Professor McGonagall fumed.
"But-" you began desperately, but it was no use.
"No buts! You've earned yourself a month's worth of detention, and I will be speaking to Professor Slughorn about your behavior!" she barked.
"You, Evans! Take Potter to the hospital wing! The rest of you, return to your dormitories immediately! That includes you, Y/L/N!" she finished, glaring dangerously at you before rushing from the courtyard.
You cursed loudly in frustration and watched Lily and the others drag James out of the courtyard.
"Sev is my boyfriend, you know!" you called after them, "and I'm proud that he is! You're all a bunch of jealous losers!"
Lily looked back at you with a look of utter disgust, while Sirius shuddered and made vomiting noises at your announcement of your relationship with Severus.
---
"Guess who earned herself a month's worth of detention," you told Severus once you returned from your altercation in the courtyard.
"Gosh, really? You shouldn't have done anything," Severus said as he gently massaged your sore knuckles. The two of you were sat on his bed, cuddled up with each other.
"It's fine, trust me. I'm glad that I broke James's stupid nose," you smiled at him. "Also, I announced that you're my boyfriend."
Severus stopped massaging your knuckles, clearly in shock. "Oh...you did? Why?"
"Because I want everyone to know that I have the best boyfriend out there," you stated simply, kissing Severus sweetly. "I love you and I'm so proud of you. You're amazing in so many ways, okay? I know that it's hard for you to believe that, but I promise you that it's true."
Color blossomed onto Severus's cheeks and he grinned bashfully, kissing you back. "I love you too, Y/N. You're the best girlfriend ever."
"I know I am," you smirked playfully and Severus rolled his eyes, gasping when you suddenly pushed him back onto the bed and crawled on top of him.
"My handsome boy," you praised as you straddled his lap, kissing his neck eagerly.
Severus whimpered softly as you kissed his sensitive neck, knotting his fingers in your hair.
"You- fuck- you're so pretty," he breathed, swallowing thickly as you kissed the thin layer of skin over his Adam's apple.
You slid off your robes, leaving you in your blouse and skirt. Severus's eyes widened and he curiously laid his hands on your thighs, rubbing small circles into your supple flesh.
"Do you want to go further?" you asked him as you undid his tie, tossing it to the side.
"God, yes," Severus replied desperately, rolling you over so that you were beneath him. He kissed you hungrily, his tongue skimming against your bottom lip.
"If anyone walks in on us, I'm going to die of embarrassment," he laughed against your collarbone as he kissed you there.
You pulled his face close to yours and pressed a loving kiss to the tip of his nose. "Don't worry about it, okay? Just focus on me, baby."
Severus nodded quickly and for once, he didn't worry about a single thing. It was hard to worry when he was with you, after all.

"Wait, so basically, you want me to leave my Brother and his friends alone, to hang around with you lot and "act like a Slytherin" just to piss them off?" I raised my eyebrows "Ha, Ha funny joke, thank you very much for wasting my time but i'll be off now-" I said about to get up and leave, but was stopped.
"Weasley, you will do it or else" Malfoy threatened
"Or else what? if this is how you guys get girls to hang out with you? no wonder the only one who clings to you is Pansy, you really need to work on your gentleman skills"
"You know we can make your life at Hogwarts miserable, right?" Nott told me as he squat down, resting his elbows on his knees, to look me in the eyes
"Oh dont worry, another minute in here and you will have sealed the deal, I'll have nightmares for the rest of my life just looking at your faces"
"Whats Weasley doing in the boys dorms?" Zabini asked
"I heard Weasley's first kiss was a house elf" Nott joined in
"I heard Weasley was secretly dating Goyle"
"you three are a bunch of mean girls, oh my god" I said
"I heard Weasley spent the last few years in Azkaban"
"I heard Weasley was sent away at birth, because her parents didn't want her"
"I heard Weasley was really half goblin"
"I heard Weasley was only friends with Potter for his riches"
"What-No I'm not!" I protested

"back to the matter at hand, Rumours can ruin just about anyone, especially around the certain crowd, and we have a big influence on The students at Hogwarts and what they believe, so make things easier for yourself and agree" Malfoy said, with an air of authority
"You really think i'm that scared of a few rumours, nice try, I've been dealing with them since I got here, besides, I thought you all hate me for being a supposed blood traitor, whatever that means" I crossed my arms over my chest
"Yes, well we all make sacrifices, and you're close to potty and weasel-" Theo said
"Hey! thats as much an insult to me as well as him you know!" I argued back
"Does Your brother really know why your home?" Malfoy asked me
"what?" I snapped my eyes up to look at him, I could feel my cheeks glowing red and my arms loosing from the criss cross
"What would happen if he and everyone else found out the real reason you left, sorry I mean got thrown out of Beauxbatons" He raised an eyebrow, knowing he had finally caught my attention
"Malfoy, no! you can't, how did you even, you wouldn't" I gasped
"I have my sources, Weasley, now agree if you dont want your little secret spilled"
I looked around the room,  by the looks of it, Malfoy had told Zabini and Nott, thats if he actually knew and wasn't just bluffing, but I couldn't take that chance, dropping my head to stare at the floor in defeat "fine" I whispered
"What was that?" Nott had put his hand to his ear
"I said fine" I said a little louder
"Brilliant, lets go get dinner, I'm starving" Draco stretched, being mindful of his arm and they went to walk out.
Nott grabbed my wrists and pulled me up before putting his arm over my shoulder, I didn't have the energy to shrug it off though.
Before we went down the stairs I went to sprint to the girls dormitories but was unsuccessful with Nott's hold on me and Crabbe had returned to block the way
"tut tut, Weasley, its dinner, you dont want to miss that, anymore" Draco  mocked.
I dreaded it when we got to the Great Hall, My cheeks instantly blushed when i looked over to the Gryffindor table and caught all my siblings and Harry & Hermione looking at me in confusion to be with not only Malfoy but Zabini, Crabbe and Goyle but Theodore Notts arm around my shoulders, I was hoping that they could see the pleading look in my eyes and realise that I didn't like this but all I could see on my twins face was hurt and anger, even Fred and George looked annoyed.
"Cheer up Weasley, theres Pie!" Nott cheered as we sat down at the Slytherin table, me sandwiched between Nott and Goyle, Malfoy and Zabini sitting opposite and Crabbe next to Goyle.
I just sat there, staring at my plate, feeling miserable for myself ignoring Nott who had started piling food on to his plate and mine
"Eat up, Weasley" He patted my back hard.
I continued to stare at the food as they delved into conversations about Quidditch and the game coming up Saturday, Slytherin vs Gryffindor, until Malfoy and Zabini revealed that Slytherin had decided to swap with Hufflepuff due to their seeker having an injured arm but really it was because they didn't want to play in the horrible weather.
I hadn't said a word the rest of the night, it felt like a weight was lifted from my chest when I went to bed and could sleep this horrible day away.
It was Friday, the day before Gryffindor Vs Hufflepuff and I was sat in Defence Against the Dark Arts, next to Hermione.
I had got to the Classroom extra early just to avoid the Slytherin boys, I don't think I could cope being sat next to, either Nott, Malfoy or Zabini for another class.
Ron was sat on his own at a desk as Harry hadn't shown up, he refused to even acknowledge me and instead moped at his desk.
I was surprised when Professor Snape had been the one teaching the class today, I was curious to know what had happened to Lupin but bit my tongue, knowing Snape wouldn't have the patience for my questions.
It was Ten minutes into the lesson when Harry had dashed inside.
"Sorry im late, Professor Lupin, I- he finally looked up to realise that Lupin wasn't here at all, but actually it was Snape, bless him, I was getting second hand embarrassment just watching.
"This lesson began ten minutes ago, Potter, so I think we'll make it ten points from Gryffindor. Sit down" But of course the bloody idiot didn't.
"Wheres Professor Lupin?" Harry had voiced my question
"He says he is feeling too ill to teach today?" Snape said with a smile, kinda strange if you ask me "I believe I told you to sit down?"
And yet he still decided not to move
"Harry, just sit down!" I told him, having a hard time keeping my mouth shut.
I was shocked when he actually listened but I knew he wasn't finished with his questions
"I am very capable of handling my students, Weasley!" Snape snapped at me, making me shrink in my seat
"Whats wrong with him?" Harry had asked instead of just shutting up
"Nothing life-threatening, five more points from Gryffindor, and if you ask another question it will be fifty" Harry had decided to save his house by not saying anything further
"As I was saying before Potter interrupted, Professor Lupin has not left any records of the topics you have covered so far-"
"Please, Sir, we've done Boggarts, Red Caps, Kappas and Grindylows," Hermione rushed out from beside me "and we're just about to start-"
"Be quiet" Snape cut her off coldly "I did not ask for information. I was merely commenting on Professor Lupin's lack of organisation."
"He's the best Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher we've ever had" A boy from Gryffindor, I'm pretty sure was Dean Thomas had said boldy, the other Gryffindors and myself agreed, and this seemed to piss the old slime ball right off, it was all over his face, awe we must of touched a nerve.
"You are easily satisfied. Lupin is hardly over-taxing you - I would expect first years to be able to deal with Red Caps and Grindylows. Today we shall discuss- he paused to flip the book "Werewolfs"
Malfoy mockingly howled like a wolf, The Slytherin boys laughed.
"But, sir, We're not supposed to do werewolves yet, we're due to start hinkypunks-" Hermione burst
"Miss Granger, I was under the impression that I was taking this lesson, not you-
"Well then teach us what we're supposed to learn, oh wise Professor, or you might as well bugger off back to the dungeons and 'Mione can teach it, I'm sure I can speak for the majority of us when I say we will learn a whole lot more, and better" I spat, having enough of him disrespecting my friends and acting like he was on his high horse.
"Miss Weasley, I hope you have no plans for the rest of this week, as you will be spending it in detention, am I understood?" Snape curled his lip as he said this, I could just feel the Slytherin boys eyes drilling into the back of my skull
"Eye eye cap'n" I saluted, that man doesn't even know how much he just saved my arse and helped me get out of being with them.
"Now, all of you, turn to Page three hundred and ninety-four Now!"
"Which of you can tell me how we distinguish between the werewolf and the true wolf?" Snape asked the class
Everyone sat in silence, except Hermione, who shot her hand up in the air so fast, I thought she was going to take my ear off
"Anyone?" Snape asked, completely ignoring Hermione
"Oh this is just cruel" I mumbled
Snapes creepy smile was back "Are you telling me that Professor Lupin hasn't even taught you the basic distinction between-"
"We told you" said another Gryffindor, but I wasn't sure of her name  "we haven't got as far as werewolves yet, we're still on-"
"Silence!" Snape barked, making me jump an inch in the air "Well, well, well, I never thought I'd meet a third-year class who wouldn't even recognise a werewolf when they saw one. I shall make  point of informing Professor Dumbledore how very behind you all are ..."
"Please, Sir" Hermione practically begged "The werewolf differs from the true wolf in several small ways. The snout  of the werewolf-
"That is the second time you have spoken out of turn,  Miss Granger, Five more points from Gryffindor for being an insufferable know-it-all."
I watched as my friend had gone bright red and her eyes pooling with tears, before I could say anything back, Ron had said loudly "You asked us a question and she knows the answer! Why ask if you dont want to be told?"
"Detention, Weasley, Maybe the both of you can learn some manners and how to properly behave inside of the classroom then" He said snidely as he looked at me and my brother.
We sat in silence for the rest of the class, letting the over grown bully win this round.
"Very poorly explained ... that is incorrect, the Kappa is more commonly found in Magnolia ... Professor Lupin gave this eight out of ten? I wouldn't have given it three ..." Snape said as he examined the work we had been doing for Lupin.
"correct me if im wrong, but im sure he taught potions, as he's not good enough for this one?" I whispered to Hermione, who bit her tongue to hold in a laugh.
When the bell rang I was ready to thank Merlin but obviously we were not that fortunate as the slime ball held us back
"You will each write an essay, to be handed in to me, on the ways you recognise and kill werewolves. I want two rolls of parchment on the subject, and I want them by Monday morning. It is time somebody took this class in hand. Miss Weasley and Mr Weasley, stay behind, we need to arrange your detentions."
Everyone else had left the classroom, leaving only Snape, Ron and I.
Snape went into detail about our horrific and unjustified detentions for a solid Five minutes, throughout the whole time Ron didn't even take a single glance at me, he was seriously getting on my nerves with his bad temper.
After Snape dismissed us, Ron marched out the room, leaving me to jog a bit to at least try and catch up to him.
"Ron!" I called his name out in the hall when he joined Harry and Hermione "Ron, will you just listen to what I  have to say!"
"Piss off, Keira" He snapped before storming off with Hermione in tow, trying to calm him down.
Harry lingered back a bit, offering me a sympathetic look then soon followed them, I watched their backs disappear around the corner, my shoulders dropping.
"Detention for the next three days, huh? do you really find my handsome face that hard to resist you seek out ways to stay away from us" Nott teased as he draped an arm over my shoulders and steered us in the direction of the dungeons.
"Oh Theodore, you Pronounced heinous wrong, and no, I did not get them just to give me a reason to stay away from you, I was sticking up for my friend , that was just a bonus" I grinned up at him and patted his cheek "ta ta Nott"
Before any of them could stop me I ran to the Library to start my studying on Werewolves, I didn't even care if I looked dumb.
"Weasley" Draco drawled as I walked into the Slytherin common room and headed for the girls dormitories to get ready for my detention with Snape and Ron.
"No, I'm busy" I said, not even bothering to look towards the group and rushed out of sight so I could get changed for my detention, in a pair of baggy pyjama bottoms and one of my brothers old t-shirts, that drowned me in the fabric.
Clever thinking Keira, cause now I could jump right into bed without disturbing the others.
I then ran back down stairs, after reaching the bottom of the stairs I doubled over to catch my breath, I really needed to start working out more.
"She's back!" Theodore cheered
"Still busy" I said as I tied my hair up in a pony tail and sped walked back out of the Slytherin common room before I was any later than I already was.
"Ron, please talk to me, this would be a lot easier if you weren't ignoring me!" I whined at my brother for the Forth time in the last two hours
"Shut up, Keira" he snapped, continuing to scrub a bedpan
"I don't actually know why you're mad at me, by the way, so I have no clue how I can make it up to you if I don't know what I did"
"you serious- are you for real- do you ever think"
"yes, actually, I do!"
"Pha, okay, nice one"
"Will you stop! I just want us to be alright again, please Ron" I dropped the bedpan I had been scrubbing, to show how serious I was.
"just get on with it so we can leave" He said in a final tone, and didn't say a word for the rest of the detention.
Luckily the Common room was empty by the time I had got there so I could easily pass out in my bed.
"I am not going!" I crossed my arms over my chest "I don't like quidditch, and its cold, and the weather is horrible"
"Then be sure to wrap up warm" Draco said flatly
"Aw, is the Malfoy brat not used to hearing the word No? see it means I'm not going to do what you say just because you told me, here it is again, ready? No!"
"I hate you all" I groaned, huddling up closer to Zabini under the umbrella in order not to get soaked in the rain, Nott and Malfoy sharing one next to us
"Look theres Potter!" Nott pointed him out causing him to look in our direction, the three of them laughed and jeered at him, but I tried offering him a comforting smile
"Hi Harry, Good luck!" I shouted to him, him blushing and mumbling a thanks in return
"You know, you could at least act like you're a Slytherin" Zabini told me
"Did you see how he blushed, where's my camera when I need it, that was adorable" Nott laughed "Why was he blushing like that?"
"I dont know, But Ron did mention how he didn't shut up talking about me when I said I was gonna kiss him" I thought out loud "What? stop looking at me like that! I wasn't actual- holy gargoyles, who is that?" I pointed at one of the Hufflepuff players he was tall and extremely handsome with chiselled features, dark hair, and bright grey eyes.
He was perfect in every way
"Him? Thats Cedric Diggory, Hufflepuffs seeker" Malfoy said
"He's all looks but no brains" Nott said
"He's the love of my life" I sighed "Oh my god! he just looked in our way, hows my hair, is there something on my face?" I freaked out
"He was probably looking at Draco and Blaise because they are on the Slytherin Quidditch team" Nott rolled his eyes.
"I thought you said you liked Wood" Malfoy said
"Hush Malfoy, No, not since he kicked me out of the Gryffindor practise cause he thought I would rat out their plays" I mumbled the rest and rolled my eyes
"I thought you didn't like Quidditch, why would you go to their practise?" Zabini asked
"Shush, the games starting" I hushed him and stared at the Pitch
"No its n-
"Shh".
"See, Diggory is obviously more fitter, but I dont know, that Scottish accent gets me excited"
"Right!" I slapped Theodore's arm and agreed "and the way he's so passionate about the sport"
"Will you two shut up!" Malfoy shouted at us over the howling winds
I had no idea what was going on and who was winning, and I didn't care, the only interesting thing was just Hermione casting a spell on Harry's glasses so he could see in the rain, yeah, that was it.
I was soaked from the rain, my hair a mess from the wind and I could barely feel my hands.
"Can they just hurry up already! I wanna go in-
"Woah, look!" Theodore cut me off to point at Harry who had slipped on his broom, falling down a few feet, he seemed to have regained control, Diggory speeding on his tail, he noticed the  snitch and sped for it, and thats when they came.
Hundreds of Dementors surrounded the pitch, everything freezing over, it was like they were absorbing happiness, i felt even colder on the inside.
The Dementors swarmed Harry and suddenly he was falling to the ground, I couldn't focus on anything but Harry's body plummeting, And then he hit the ground. Ron and Hermione had already ran to him as well as the other quidditch players and teachers, I went to run to him but was stopped by Malfoy
"Get off me!" I barked at him, ripping my arm out of his grip and legged it.
I felt awkward in the hospital wing, like I shouldn't be here, should I be here? I counted Harry as one of my friends, but maybe I was just his best friends twin sister to him, not to mention I was the only Slytherin in a room full of Gryffindors.
We gathered around his bed looking over him,  I was stood next to Hermione and George, Harry was still unconscious.
"Lucky the ground was so soft"
"I thought he was dead for sure"
"But he didn't even break his glasses" I saw the slight winces and Movements of Harry as he was gaining consciousness
"That was the scariest thing I've ever seen in my life"
"Guys, shut up, Harry's waking up" I cut off their whispering
"Harry!" Fred had said "How're you feeling?"
"What happened?" Harry asked, and sat up so fast I could tell I wasn't the only one who got hit with worry
"You fell off, Must've been - what - fifty feet?" Fred told him
"We thought you died" Alicia, who had introduced herself and the rest of the team to me, had said
I heard Hermione make a small squeaky noise, I quickly put my hand on her shoulder to calm her, I dont really know if it helped but I didn't really know what else to do.
"But the match, What happened? Are we having a replay?"
No one answered his question, I didn't simply because I didn't know what happened.
"We didn't- lose?"
"Diggory got the snitch" George sighed " Just after you fell. He didn't realise what happened. When he looked back and saw you on the ground, he tried to call it off. Wanted a re-match. But they won fair and square ... even Wood admits it"
"Where is Wood?"
"Still in the showers" Said Fred " we think he's trying to drown himself" I Turned my head so fast to look at my brother in shock, I thought I gave myself whiplash, at how casual he said that
"Should someone go check on him?!" I asked him, but he just shrugged his shoulders
"C'mon, Harry, you've never missed the Snitch before"
"There had to be to be one time you didn't get it" George followed Fred in trying to cheer him up
"It's not over yet, We lost by a hundred points, right? so if Hufflepuff lose to Ravenclaw and we beat Ravenclaw and Slytherin ..."
"Hufflepuff'll have to lose by at least two hundred points" George said.
"But if they beat Ravenclaw..."
"No way, Ravenclaw are too good. But if Slytherin lose against Hufflepuff..."
"It all depends on the points - a margin of a hundred points either way-"
As they were all discussing the points and how they could possibly have a chance of winning, I watched Harry lay there in silence, and my heart hurt for him, he probably felt like this was all his fault, I wish there was something that I or all of us could do to make this better for him.
I dont even think he knew about his broom yet.
Eventually Madam Pomfrey kicked us out so Harry could rest.
"We'll come and see you later" Fred reassured him "Don't beat yourself up, Harry, You're still the best seeker we've ever had"
"Yeah, Harry, I dont even know whats happening half the time but from what I could tell, your brilliant" I smiled at him before following the rest out, except for Ron and Hermione, I chose to leave as, one, I thought we all were, and two because I guessed he would probably want time alone with his best friends.
"So, is the boy who lived...alive?" Theodore asked me, when I walked into the Slytherin Common room, trailing water and mud behind me, filch would hang me by my wrists if he saw.
"Yeah, He's awake, Ron and Hermione's with them" I waved them off and then walked up to the dorms to get changed and warm up, readying myself for my second detention in a row.

Percy isn't a good character. He should have believed Harry and dumbldore in the 5th book but he was stupid. He knew them and should have trusted them.
*deep sigh*
Alright, let me break this down for you:
Percy had very few reasons to believe Harry & Dumbledore, but he had a lot of reasons not to believe them.
I’ll put this under the cut due to length.
Let's start with Harry, because this aspect is a little simpler to explain.
From Percy’s POV, he’s hasn’t spent nearly as much time with Harry as his siblings have. In the letter he writes to Ron in OOTP, he says:
I know that he can be unbalanced and, for all I know, violent.
The ‘for all I know’ comment shows that Percy even admits to not knowing Harry well enough to be sure.
And Harry is unbalanced - it’s not his fault, but it’s a fact. He consistently breaks rules and is involved in everything bad that has happened to Percy’s younger siblings & friends up to that point (the beginning of OOTP).
In Book 1, Ron was injured when he went with Harry to stop Quirrell. In Book 2, the Chamber of Secrets was opened, Percy's girlfriend was petrified, and Harry was almost always near the scene of the crime. Harry spoke Parseltongue and appeared to encourage a snake to attack another student. Ginny was almost killed by a teenage version of Voldemort specifically because Tom was after Harry:
“Imagine how angry I was when the next time my diary was opened, it was Ginny who was writing to me, not you. She saw you with the diary, you see, and panicked. What if you found out how to work it, and I repeated all her secrets to you? What if, even worse, I told you who’d been strangling roosters? So the foolish little brat waited until your dormitory was deserted and stole it back. But I knew what I must do. It was clear to me that you were on the trail of Slytherin’s heir. From everything Ginny had told me about you, I knew you would go to any lengths to solve the mystery — particularly if one of your best friends was attacked. And Ginny had told me the whole school was buzzing because you could speak Parseltongue…
“So I made Ginny write her own farewell on the wall and come down here to wait. She struggled and cried and became very boring. But there isn’t much life left in her… She put too much into the diary, into me. Enough to let me leave its pages at last… I have been waiting for you to appear since we arrived here. I knew you’d come. I have many questions for you, Harry Potter.”
In Book 3, Sirius Black attacked the entrance to the Gryffindor Tower - where all of Percy’s younger siblings live - supposedly to get to Harry. Ron’s leg was injured because Sirius dragged him under the Whomping Willow in order to get Harry to follow him.
In Book 4, Cedric Diggory was killed while with Harry. I have always believed that Percy was friends with Cedric (see this post), but if nothing else, Percy knew Cedric because he was the Head Boy the year before, and Cedric was one of the prefects (therefore, one of Percy's responsibilities).
Again, this is not to say that any of this is Harry’s fault - I doubt even Percy would say that - but there is a direct correlation between proximity to Harry and danger, and Percy knows this.
However, even with that being said, it’s clear that the root of the problem was more about Dumbledore than Harry.
In fact, when retelling what happened during the argument, Ron said:
He said Dad was an idiot to run around with Dumbledore.
And in the letter Percy wrote to Ron, he said:
I am sorry that I was unable to see more of you over the summer. It pains me to criticize our parents, but I am afraid I can no longer live under their roof while they remain mixed up with the dangerous crowd around Dumbledore.
He’s making it clear that his family’s association with Dumbledore was the main reason for him leaving - not their association with Harry.
Percy likely believed that Dumbledore was manipulating Harry (which he frequently did throughout the series).
Even back in Book 1, Percy thought this about him:
Albus Dumbledore had gotten to his feet. He was beaming at the students, his arms opened wide, as if nothing could have pleased him more than to see them all there.
“Welcome,” he said. “Welcome to a new year at Hogwarts! Before we begin our banquet, I would like to say a few words. And here they are: Nitwit! Blubber! Oddment! Tweak!
“Thank you!”
He sat back down. Everybody clapped and cheered. Harry didn’t know whether to laugh or not.
“Is he — a bit mad?” he asked Percy uncertainly.
“Mad?” said Percy airily. “He’s a genius! Best wizard in the world! But he is a bit mad, yes. Potatoes, Harry?”
Dumbledore is regarded as the “best wizard” in the world - the most powerful and intelligent wizard of his time - and yet many people also comment on the fact that Dumbledore is a bit mental (there are quotes by Fred and Ron about this too).
And Percy’s not wrong to doubt Dumbledore. Dumbledore was a horrible Headmaster - that's just a fact.
In fact, up through Book 4, we see very little evidence of Dumbledore being a great wizard, but we do see evidence of him putting students in danger and making far too many mistakes/bad decisions.
In Book 1, he brought an item inside Hogwarts that he knew was being pursued by Voldemort, which put all the students at risk, and he either had no idea that Voldemort was living inside one of his professors or... he didn’t care? Look at this - frankly, horrifying - conversation from the book:
“Well, I got back all right,” said Hermione. “I brought Ron round — that took a while — and we were dashing up to the owlery to contact Dumbledore when we met him in the entrance hall — he already knew — he just said, ‘Harry’s gone after him, hasn’t he?’ and hurtled off to the third floor.”
“D’you think he meant you to do it?” said Ron. “Sending you your father’s cloak and everything?”
“Well, ” Hermione exploded, “if he did — I mean to say that’s terrible — you could have been killed.”
“No, it isn’t,” said Harry thoughtfully. “He’s a funny man, Dumbledore. I think he sort of wanted to give me a chance. I think he knows more or less everything that goes on here, you know. I reckon he had a pretty good idea we were going to try, and instead of stopping us, he just taught us enough to help. I don’t think it was an accident he let me find out how the mirror worked. It’s almost like he thought I had the right to face Voldemort if I could…”
“Yeah, Dumbledore’s off his rocker, all right,” said Ron proudly.
I’m sorry - what?! Dumbledore thought a child had the right to face Voldemort, and even pushed Harry in that direction, instead of facing Voldemort himself? I just have no words for how awful that is.
In Book 2, the Chamber of Secrets was opened, students were being petrified - in danger of being killed - and Dumbledore didn't bother to shut down the school (it wasn’t until Ginny was taken into the Chamber that McGonagall said they were sending students home). Moaning Myrtle literally died the last time the Chamber was open, but Dumbledore just allowed the students to stay and keep going to classes, because...?
There’s also this:
“What does this mean, Albus?” Professor McGonagall asked urgently.
“It means,” said Dumbledore, “that the Chamber of Secrets is indeed open again.”
Madam Pomfrey clapped a hand to her mouth. Professor McGonagall stared at Dumbledore.
“But, Albus… surely… who?”
“The question is not who,” said Dumbledore, his eyes on Colin. “The question is, how…” And from what Harry could see of Professor McGonagall’s shadowy face, she didn’t understand this any better than he did.
‘The question is not who’ - In other words, Dumbledore knew exactly who opened the Chamber, and therefore, knew that Voldemort had access to the campus, yet he didn’t figure out that Ginny was being possessed. Ultimately, a 12-year-old is the one that had to journey into the Chamber of Secrets, fight a form of Voldemort and a Basilisk, and save Ginny.
Yeah, I’m not seeing anything overly impressive about Albus here.
In Book 3, we also get a scene that makes me livid.
Professor Dumbledore sent all the Gryffindors back to the Great Hall, where they were joined ten minutes later by the students from Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin, who all looked extremely confused.
“The teachers and I need to conduct a thorough search of the castle,” Professor Dumbledore told them as Professors McGonagall and Flitwick closed all doors into the hall. “I’m afraid that, for your own safety, you will have to spend the night here. I want the prefects to stand guard over the entrances to the hall and I am leaving the Head Boy and Girl in charge.”
As a child reading this, I didn't think much of it. As an adult, it disgusts me. I get that the teachers wanted to search the school for Sirius, but are you honestly telling me that none of them could stay behind to watch the kids? Instead, you put children in charge of protecting each other? Even if you make the argument that Percy was 17 (and therefore, an adult by wizarding standards), he was still a student, and the other prefects that were told to guard the entrances included 5th and 6th year students who were definitely not adults.
This is basically like a gunman being loose on a high school campus, and the principal saying, “Okay, anyone on the safety patrol is going to guard the doors while all the teachers leave. Good luck.” NO. Just no. You don't do that. Even if Dumbledore didn’t think Sirius was dangerous (which we have no proof of, especially since Dumbledore admitted later that Sirius wasn’t acting like an innocent man), it would still have been a horrible choice.
And during that same year, he hired a werewolf for a professor. Yes, we all know that Remus is a great guy; however, he forgot to take his Wolfsbane Potion, turned into a werewolf, and almost killed students before the end of the year.
Harry could see Lupin’s silhouette. He had gone rigid. Then his limbs began to shake.
“Oh, my —” Hermione gasped. “He didn’t take his potion tonight! He’s not safe!”
“Run,” Black whispered. “Run. Now.”
But Harry couldn’t run. Ron was chained to Pettigrew and Lupin. He leapt forward but Black caught him around the chest and threw him back.
“Leave it to me — RUN!”
There was a terrible snarling noise. Lupin’s head was lengthening. So was his body. His shoulders were hunching. Hair was sprouting visibly on his face and hands, which were curling into clawed paws. Crookshanks’s hair was on end again; he was backing away — As the werewolf reared, snapping its long jaws, Sirius disappeared from Harry’s side. He had transformed. The enormous, bearlike dog bounded forward.
As the werewolf wrenched itself free of the manacle binding it, the dog seized it about the neck and pulled it backward, away from Ron and Pettigrew. They were locked, jaw to jaw, claws ripping at each other.
He was an unnecessary risk. Readers tend to ignore that because we love Remus, but just because we like someone and have sympathy for them does not mean they should be employed at a school.
In Book 4, Dumbledore failed to notice that his friend - "Moody was a great wizard in his time," said Bill. "He's an old friend of Dumbledore's, isn't he?" said Charlie. - was actually Barty Crouch Jr. using the Polyjuice Potion. Even if you argue that he didn't know Barty Jr. was alive, this powerful and intelligent wizard couldn't tell that his old friend wasn't himself? Seriously?
It’s not like there weren’t any signs - ‘Moody’ turning Draco into a ferret and demonstrating the Unforgivable Curses in class being some of them. At the very least, those acts should have warranted a meeting where Dumbledore spoke with him. If he spent a good deal of time with Moody one-on-one, he should have picked up on the inconsistencies in his personality, since no one can perfectly copy another person for an indefinite amount of time, but he either didn’t spend much time with him or didn’t figure it out. Either way, that’s not overly impressive either.
And Dumbledore allowed a 14-year-old kid to enter a tournament that purposely had an age limit of 17 and over because it was that dangerous. No, Dumbledore didn’t put Harry’s name in the Goblet, and yes, the Goblet was a "binding magical contract", but you're telling me the greatest wizard in the world couldn't figure out a way around that? I mean, an obvious loophole would be that 14-year-olds aren't legally allowed to sign contracts without parental/guardian permission, which Harry did not get from the Dursleys or Sirius, and therefore, the Goblet’s contract was null and void. Even without that, it’s pretty sketchy that Dumbledore couldn’t find any escape route for Harry.
And at the end of the year, one of the students died due to Dumbledore’s negligence in noticing that there was something amiss about one of his teachers.
I can't think of one reason why Percy would trust Dumbledore. I certainly wouldn't!
So Percy - likely grieving the death of a friend - was told to put blind faith into a man who had repeatedly failed his students & a traumatized kid who actually was being manipulated by Dumbledore (in other ways).
I don't know, anon; I think it's realistic that Percy wasn’t so willing to believe them.
And the fact that Percy was the only one in his family to really question the trustworthiness of a problematic, powerful wizard is one of my favorite things about him.
