~~Meeting your dad for the first time~~
Kenny x f! reader
Summary : You want Kenny to meet your dad, but do they get along?
Warnings : slight use of a gun metaphor, no mother figure
You lived with your dad, your mum having parted ways with the both of you many many years ago. You two barely missed her, so she isn't really worth mentioning now, is she?
Your dad knew you were seeing somebody and was over the moon to find out that his little girl was finally settling. Even though a part of him hurt realizing how quickly you grew up in front of his eyes.
But he is your father after all, seeing your beaming smile everyday was more than enough to realize you were with a good man.
So naturally he wanted to meet your boyfriend of over 4 years, Kenny.
.
.
.
"He wanted to meet me? " Kenny furrows his eyebrows looking at you in confusion.
"Well mostly I suggested that you two get to know each other, since I already met your family". You smile at him.
"I mean I'm not opposed to the idea but will he like me? Dad's are usually ferocious when their daughter starts dating someone".
"No way, my dad is not like that". You huff, determined to make a good impression of your father. "Let's just meet up at one of dad's restaurants so we can have a good chat with each other. I'm a hundred percent sure he's gonna love you".
"And I'm a hundred percent sure he's gonna shoot me right through the skull". Kenny sighs. "But I'm willing to do that for our future".
His words almost make you tear up, so to hide that you reach over and kiss him gently.
"I love you Ken".
"I love you my darling".
.
.
.
You dad sat opposite to Kenny, he could say that the younger guy was nervous, but held immense amount of love for his daughter.
"Nice to meet you Mr. Y/l/n". Kenny smiled.
"Lovely to meet you too, my son". Your dad returned the smile and patted Kenny on the back. He could feel Kenny visibly relaxing and slowly engaging in to conversation with him.
You on the other hand were overjoyed to see the two most important men in your life get along. You felt so proud of Kenny and so much love for your dad who had accepted Kenny wholeheartedly. It could've easily been one of the happiest days of your life.
"Excuse me for a bit guys, I need to use the restroom". You excuse yourself from your dad and Kenny and head to the stalls to freshen up your makeup.
Kenny seizes this chance to talk to your dad one to one.
"I have something to tell you". Kenny looks at the man in front of him with hopeful eyes, hoping that he would react in a positive way.
"Oh, well what is it?". Your dad rests his arms on the table, realizing that this might be a private conversation.
"Sir, I have known Y/n ever since she was 12 years old. She is an amazing human being and has been there for me during our friendship days and when we were in love. I can hardly imagine my life without her in it. She makes everything better, and I hope you would give me your blessings to marry her and make her my wife". Kenny let's out a breath and anticipates for an answer.
Your dad remains silent, eyes glued to the table.
Kenny could hear his heart jump to his stomach, suddenly he felt like throwing up.
"I-I am so sorry, I shouldn't have asked that from you so early"-
Kenny cut himself off when your dad flashed him a happy smile.
"How could I ever say no to that question, You're a good man I'm sure, my Y/n saw the best in you and she loves you. Who am I to stop two people that love each other get married. You have my blessings, Always and forever".
Kenny laughs and your dad claps his back, the two men hug each other as they realize they would soon be related.
You come from the restroom to find the mood of the room a lot better than you last saw it.
"You two must have cleared some stuff out, look at you two beaming with joy!!".
Kenny and your dad wink at each other, relishing in your confused expression and laughing the night away reminiscing about the past. You sat there confused still, but so happy to know that Your man had finally befriended your 'beast' of a dad.

Could you do #1 with Azriel?
A/N - Perfect! Thanks for requesting this, anon!
Glance
Summary - First glances are always lifechanging
Tumblr media
Warnings - Just some fluff :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Thanks again for coming out!  I’m do glad you got to meet some of my friends, and sorry if they were a bit…intimidating,”
“They weren’t,”
“Now I beg to differ.  Especially Az!  II can’t believe he acted that way!”
You gave a small blush from the mention of the Spymaster.  Mor was still getting her jacket on and moving her long blond hair out of her face, her rare beauty was clearly seen under the lights of Ritas as you two were the last to leave in your dinner party.  You lived right down the street from Mor, so you two walked together to the dinner she was throwing with some of her closest friends.  She wanted you to come on since you two were close over the centuries, and you knew she was working for High Lord Rhysand and their Inner Circle.  You were part of it, which was never a problem since they were literally in charge of running not just Velaris but Night Court.  Mor never told you anything about the Inner Circle, or about the people who were in it. The only thing that you knew was that those who were in the Inner Circle were powerful and were highly important.
Including Azriel.  The Spymaster for Night Court and a Shadowsinger.
You heard plenty of him through Mor, they were close as friends.  You knew she kept certain friends away from you for good reason, especially for Azriel since he was a spy and beyond mysterious.  There were stories about him, how he was one with the shadows and he knew how to bring even the fiercest soldiers to their knees with the simplest stare or his knives, which were affectionally called Truth Tellers.  Rumors of his power and his mysterious nature spread like wildfire, there was barely anything to know about him since it was mostly under wraps.
All you knew about Azriel was what Mor was allowed to tell you, which was not a whole lot.  But when she invented you out to dinner with Cassian, High Lord Rhsyand and his mate and wife Feyre, Armen, and Eyre’s two sisters Elaine and Nesta.  You never met any of them and you were excited, even more so since you were going to be at the same table as The High Lord and High Lady.
The dinner itself was lovely, all but Azriel was there when you and Mor arrived with linked arms.  She introduced you to everyone, whom looked happy to meet Mor’s old friend that was kept out of arms reach from them.
“That’s for good reason, you’re an unruly lot,” Mor joked as she ordered a glass of wine and leaned back in her chair.  You ordered your drink, the others were chatting away and asking you enough questions about yourself as the dinner was just about to start. They were all civl and kind enough, Cassian was a jokester and playful with Nesta next to him almost smirking from trying not to show it as much.  Elaine was more of an angel at the table, plate table manner and a sense of naiveness about her that was infectious.  Armed mostly kept to herself, tough her eyes were beyond intimidating and yet cool and calm.  Rhysand and Feyre were kind to you, Feyre was asking you plenty of questions about your past time and her mate hanging on her eveyr word while chiming in every once in awhile.  All in all, they were a nice crowd and group of friends that you made, and you figured this dinner was not too bad.
Up until Azriel arrived.
“Ah!  We wondered when you would come,” Rhysand said the new guest, who had bright hazel eyes and his short brown hair pushed away from his vision.  You saw the intricate markings along his tan skin near his arms and under his collarbone, hidden away with a dress shirt and some dress pants.  His wings were tucked tightly behind his back, maybe he was afraid to hitting someone as he walked pass as he locked eyes with everyone as a sign of acknowledgement.  But when he looked at you, he almost froze for a solid second.
You didn’t know what to do, and why you were lost in breath from seeing his bright eyes.
“How did the mission go?” Cassian asked casually as he took a long drink from his whiskey.  Azriel looked away from you for a brief moment, clearing his throat as he took to the last open chair that was near Elaine and Arden.
“That’s classified, Cas.  You know that,” He replied, his voice low and almost thick and laced with mystery.  You felt a bit off from how fast that interaction was, Mor leaning over next to you to whisper in your ear.
“Don’t mind Az he keeps to himself. But he’s a good friend, I promise,” She said in a wink to you as the conversation was now going on about neighboring Courts and upcoming plans.  You mostly listened, knowing that you weren’t  going to say anything outside of the dinner or give any input.  It felt as if they didn’t care you were listening in too on the information that was going around, maybe because you were friends with Mor and she trusted you with this kind of confidentiality.
Yet you felt as though you were being watched.  And you were, by Azriel.
He was watching you every once in awhile as you were chatting lightly with the others, you knew he was since you could see it out of the corner of your eye.  His gaze on you was no intimidating or scary, which was odd since this was not what you heard from others.  No, he seemed more…soft when he was gazing at you.  Of course you didn’t want to say anything, not just to make him feel embarrassed but to also call him out in front of the others at the table.  At the same time, you didn’t feel uneasy with how he was watching you from across the table.  Was he trying to read your mind?  Could he?  Was he trying to read my energy and see me as a good person?  You were figuring it out in your own mind, but when you would look in his direction to catch his glance, he would look away a bit abruptly.
Almost as if he was the one who was shy, and you were the alluring and scary spot.
This happened throughout dinner, you were trying not to think about too much as the topic of conversation was changing almost every few minutes.  Finally, as everyone was getting their plates of food, Rhysand finally spoke up in your direction.
“Mor tells us that you do some great work at our Medical Center, under Madja I presume?” He asked, the others were watching you now as you cleared your throat and nodded your head.
“She was my teacher for some time, I learned plenty from her in hopes to being a Master Healer like her.  Though I’m not sure If I can live up to par with her—“ You explained as Mor tapped your hand affectionately.
“She’s being modest, Rhys.  She’s amazing at the craft, and I think she would be a great apprentice to the Inner Circle as a Healer and our Medical Advisor,” she explained casually, you looking at her in shock from what she said as Elaine clasped her hands together.
“That sounds lovely!  I think we are in need of someone like that for us,” She agreed
“Doesn’t hurt to have someone in the circle who knows how to dress your wounds, regrettably it’s not the same with your egos,” Nesta replied in a low drawl, though her smirk never left.  Rhsyand was still thinking about what Mor said, pondering himself as he was holding his own small glass of whiskey and Feyre was going him a knowing look.  Maybe they were speaking together within the mind as a voice finally spoke up in your direction.
“Are you the fae under Madja’s tutelage that knew how to use those poisonous herbs as an antidote?” Azriel asked you, his eyes locking with yours as you were frozen for a moment.  The others were silent, waiting for your answer as you took in a long breath, Azrie’s gaze never leaving yours.
“Yeah, yeah I am,” You replied, he hummed, slightly smiling and making his face glow from the simple lift of his lips.
“She mentioned it to me two months ago, saying it was one of the most impressive things she’s never seen from a apprentice,” He explained, your heart warming from both the compliment and Azriel talking to you.  Mor saw that flicker too, her smile was beyond massive, her glass of wine at her lips in hopes of hiding it as Rhysand clears his throat to get your attention.  Tearing your eyes away from Azriel, whom kept his stare at you, The High Lord genuinely grinned.
“I think we can take into consideration adding another member to our Circle,” He hummed.  You looked from him to Azriel, who was smiling now at you.  You were now part of their family, and you were damn happy about.
And you would be happier a few years later when you and Azriel would get married and have your mating ceremony, with Mor as your Maid of Honor.
The End

TW: Eating disorder!
summary: After a fight with your boyfriend Wooyoung, you have a relapse in your eating disorder.
Words: 2.1k
I watched my boyfriend pull this girl into his arms, laughing, and for the first time in my life, I felt this tugging in my stomach. It was something between raging anger and loneliness or maby sadness. Jealousy.
I couldn't decide whether I wanted to cry or punch Wooyoung in the face. But the urge to cry increased immeasurably when I saw my boyfriend kiss this girl on the cheek, who incidentally was one of the employees at KQ and with whom he was supposed to have a professional relationship. Or what?!
I averted my eyes and stared at the floor. Hongjoong, who was sitting next to me, nudged me and cautiously asked if everything was okay. I replied with a curt yes and put on my best fake smile. He still looked a little worried but mostly bought it.
I looked around the dance studio. Ateez had just taken a break from training on her captain's orders and so everyone was now standing around the room.
As I mentioned, Hongjoong was sitting next to me as he must have realized that I was a bit lonely because Wooyoung had asked me to come to her training but had almost ignored me since I arrived.
San and Seonghwa were also both standing around the staff member called Lia, who had just brought coffee and who had been hugged by Wooyoung until just now, so I quickly looked away from them.
Yunho and Mingi had each immediately grabbed one of the coffee cups and were now standing in one of the other corners of the dance hall, laughing and chatting.
Yeosang had gone for a breath of fresh air and Jongo had gone to the toilet.
I sighed and took my eyes off Wooyoung again, who was fooling around with San and Seonghwa and didn't even look at me. I wasn't sure if Wooyoung was 'ignoring' me on purpose or if he just didn't realize that I might feel lonely.
I looked at Hongjoong instead. At least someone who wanted to keep me company, if only out of pity. We talked for a bit until Hongjoong declared the break over and Ateez went back to choreographing ther new song.
~
I stared at Wooyoung in disbelief. The training was over and the idiot had just suggested that we could all go out to eat together. It didn't seem to bother him that he knew I had an eating disorder and therefore found it difficult to eat in the company of others and that restaurants were my absolute nightmare.
Mingi looked at me questioningly.
"Are you ok with it?" I smiled briefly and a little sadly.
"Don't worry about me, I'll just go home."
"Hey, should we do something else? It was just an idea. Sorry, I forgot that you don't like it. I'm sorry." Wooyoung said and I just stared at him. Wow, one of the first things he said to me today was that he had forgotten about me. Nice.
"No all good do what you want. I wanted to go home anyway." I said bitterly, grabbed my stuff, said goodbye curtly, and got a worried smile and a quick goodbye from each of the members except Wooyoung. I didn't have the energy to look at him before I left the room.
But when I had been out of the dance hall for about half a minute, the door opened again and my friend stood in front of me.
"Hey, I'm really sorry, I wasn't thinking. You know me, sometimes I talk before I think and going out to eat is what we usually do after training. But we can do something else if you want. Everyone likes it when you're around."
I laughed a little hysterically. It wasn't usually my style to make such a big deal out of such banalities, but I'd just been generally stressed over the last few days, partly because of the upcoming exam period at my university and the arguments in my family. I was just hoping to spend a nice relaxing day with my boyfriend. But this happened instead.
"You really don't realize what the problem is, do you? Wooyoung, I just sat in this damn training room for 3 hours, nobody talked to me except Hongjoong, but he also only out of pity and you just said hello to me. You told me to come to your damn training. Shouldn't you at least try to pretend that I'm not totally annoying you and ignore me? I'm sorry, but if you don't want me to come and would rather have Lia at your training, don't invite me." A short silence followed my outburst, during which Wooyoung looked at me a little confused and surprised.
"Y/n I'm sorry. I was acting like an idiot." He said and a short silence followed. Then he started to grin
"You were jealous? Of Lia?" I stared at him.
I had just told him how I felt and he brushed it off with a small apology and a stupid comment? I laughed angrily for a second, I knew it was often his way of avoiding serious topics with jokes or silly comments but seriously?! Couldn't this man just stay put? I turned around and walked straight out of the building to my car, ignoring Wooyoung's shouts.
~
I closed the door of my appartment behind me, feeling empty and so stressed and upset at the same time. I was about to let the tears flow, but I controlled myself and walked to the kitchen without realizing it. I was really hungry and wanted to cook myself something to eat.
However, when I opened the larder and looked at the jumbled food, I was suddenly caught in a kind of trance.
Surely it wouldn't be so bad if I let out a little stress, would it? Slowly, I began to take all the food out of the cupboard and sort it in front of me. Starting with the ones that had the fewest calories to the ones with the most.
Now the tears were streaming down my cheeks. It was so satisfying to do this. To do what I used to frantically stop myself from doing. It was one of those tics that I had developed with my eating disorder. And yet even though it was satisfying in a way, I hated that I was doing it. I hated everything but especially myself.
Just when I thought my eating disorder was getting better, of course, I had to mess it all up again. Deep down I knew it wasn't my fault, but the part of me that was part of my eating disorder and had just taken over my mind was trying to convince me otherwise. I knew that this other healthy part of me was crying out for help.
My whole body shook as I reached for my mobile phone and called Wooyoung. My friend answered the call as soon as it rang. Everything in me hurt and I was stabbed by the pain inside when I heard his voice say "Hi y/n are you ok?". My whole body was aching and I just cried and sobbed.
"Y/n what's wrong?!" I tried to speak. I really tried but I couldn't do it. I just cried, hugged my mobile phone to me and slumped down on the floor amongst all the food.
"I'll be there in ten minutes!" I then heard him say to the others that he needed to check on me and soon after the sound of a car starting up.
"Y/n please try to talk to me. I'm worried about you. What happened?" I took a few deep breaths and then let out a shaky voice:
"I wanted to cook myself something to eat…" then I started crying and sobbing again.
If you thought about it rationally, it wouldn't be so bad. I'd often had setbacks like this but with my therapist, I always got everything under control with a little patience. But I just wasn't feeling well, I had been stressed in general and Woo's behavior had given me the final push towards a breakdown. And so I just sat here on the phone and cried. Just letting all the emotions that had built up over the last few months run free.
Then I heard my front door open and quick footsteps approaching the kitchen. I laughed bitterly as the tears continued to stream from my eyes. Woo knew exactly that I was sitting in the kitchen, he had been present too often during my "fits". Each time they started in the kitchen. Oh, how I hated that room.
The door opened and I looked up at Wooyoung with my tear-stained face.
"Ok one thing's for sure I'm definitely never letting you cook ever again." He said, which brought a shaky smile to my lips. But then my boyfriend looked at me worriedly, surveyed the chaos in the kitchen, and finally knelt down to me.
He locked me in a warm and secure hug and gently stroked my hair. We didn't need words. Everything that had made me angry with my boyfriend was forgotten. I clung to his body and the tears slowly dried up.
Wooyoung carefully picked me up and carried me into the living room. Then he snuggled up next to me on the sofa. We just kept quiet for a while. Wooyoung knew that I needed some time to calm down and I got it. When he realized that I was feeling better again, he asked
"You're hungry, aren't you? Are you ready to eat again? How do you feel about pizza?" I laughed lightly and wiped the last tear from my cheek.
"I'll try," I replied cautiously. Wooyoung nodded and started to order the pizza on his mobile phone.
I grabbed the remote control. I sleepily zapped through the channels, looking for something that looked interesting enough to make me forget about all the other things buzzing around in my head.
"I'm really sorry. I shouldn't have acted like an idiot and given you more attention. After all, I'm usually the first one to whinge if you don't listen to me for a second. I don't even know why I was in such a stupid mood. I just blanked you out somehow. I don't think I thought about your feelings enough. I was just being totally selfish. Sorry. And just so you know, I don't even really like Lia. I was just really grateful for the coffee. I really needed it at that moment." He poked me lightly in the side with his last sentences. I smiled slightly at him.
"It's ok, don't worry about it." I replied.
"Says the right one. Isn't it mrs i'm always worried" He laughed. I pretended to hit him on the back of his head and Wooyoung Dramaqueen as Always immediately started pretending to be super hurt and crying fake. I laughed and Wooyoung retaliated by starting to tickle me. But I was thankfully saved by the food delivery girl who rang the doorbell at that moment and made Wooyoung jump up and run to the door.
When he came back from the door, he had two pizza boxes in his hand and a big grin on his face. Woo handed me the box with my pizza and started eating right next to me. I took my time. Woo, who somehow managed to hug me despite the food, calmed me down.
And even though I only managed to eat a slice of my own pizza while he was eating his whole pizza, I was proud of myself for managing it. I often hid away after such a setback and stopped eating. But my boyfriend helped me with his mere presence.
We both knew that he wouldn't miraculously 'cure' me or save me from my own problems and that wasn't my or his claim. He helped me just by being with me, holding my hand, and giving me the motivation to keep fighting. But the rest was up to me, it was my fight and I would win it no matter how many times I had to start all over again - I would make it! We both knew that.

Pairing: Gamer!Bucky x reader
Warnings: fluff, that’s just about it! Some fluffy goodness and comfort is all
Summary: you had a bad day and really need cuddles, but your boyfriend is streaming
I was in a gamer Bucky mood when I wrote this….
Tumblr media
You had been with Bucky since before he made it big with streaming, but still, no fans knew about you. Obviously, his friends he made through streaming like Steve, Nat and Sam knew who you were, you’d all met up multiple times. People say online friends aren’t real friends but the group that Bucky plays with is like your family.
You had come home one day from work just tired and feeling down. It had been a long, hard and terrible day. It started off great, then at lunch someone stole your food, and someone spilled coffee on your shirt before a big meeting with your boss, so you had to change, which made you late so he yelled at you about that. Then on your way home, your AC broke so it was hot even with the windows down. All you wanted to do was change into sweats and one of Bucky’s shirts and cuddle. But of course, after changing into comfy clothes, you saw that Bucky was streaming with his crew.
You really debated just waiting till he was done, and not bothering him. You thought of what would happen if you went in there, people would see you, know you, criticize you. It was scary but you couldn’t really think about that right now, the only thing your mind focused on was needing cuddles.
You walked in, and Bucky’s head turned the second he heard the door open. Judging by your state and the fact that you were in his streaming room when he was live, he knew something was wrong. He muted his mic, and took off his headset, “hey babydoll, what’s wrong?” You hated that you were disturbing him working but you shyly told him, “just was wondering, would it be alright if I sat with you while you streamed, had a bad day and just want cuddles.” He smiled softly at you, some worry leaving his body. “Of course doll, you want me to turn off face cam or I can stop the stream? I really don’t mind, you’re more important.” You moved closer to him and curled up in his lap, “nah, keep playing and I don’t really care about the face cam, I think people already know now,” you chuckled a little, snuggling and getting comfortable in his lap. Bucky scooted his chair back to its normal position and got back to his game and stream, planting one last kiss on your forehead.
Bucky’s chat was being spammed with ‘OMG A GURL?!?!?’ ‘Bucky has a girlfriend!?!?!?’ ‘A GIRLFRIEND!?!?’ Bucky was looking at the chat while rubbing your back, about to unmute. “Hey guys! Yes, I do have a girlfriend, her name is Y/N, she had a bad day and needed cuddles so please be nice guys!” He went back to his game with his friends who weren’t at all surprised at your presence. “I see the girlfriend has shown herself to the world, maybe now people will stop trying to ship us” Nat laughed. “She feeling alright?” Steve asked worried. “Yeah, the chat is loving her more than me at this point! She’ll be alright just had bad day.” The other streamers sympathized with you and told Bucky if he needed to leave they could find a fill for the game. He looked down at you in question and you shook your head no. “I’ll keep playing don’t worry guys. Let’s get back in.”
They continued the game until the planned stop time. By then you were feeling a lot better. The chat was asking for a QnA, and Bucky was debating it, he knew they would ask about you, so he figured he’d ask if you wanted to do it. He muted himself so there was no pressure on you. “Yeah, I’m feeling mostly better, let’s do it,” you smiled up at him; adjusting your position so the viewers could see you and you could read the chat better.
“Ooh! I like this question,” you started and then read it off, “will we ever see you and Y/N game together? I don’t know Buck, will we?” You turned and looked at him for his answer. “I mean I’d like to but we’ll see. Here, ‘how did the cutest couple on the internet meet?’” You smiled, “about 2 years before Buck started streaming we met and became friends, a year later we started dating, been with this idiot ever since.” You elbowed him jokingly at the last part. “Don’t know how you put up with me for so long but I’m glad you have.” The chat was full of awwws and more questions.
“How we met exactly is a little embarrassing on my part,” Bucky admitted, that just made chat want to know more. “It’s quite a story, that’s for sure. Let’s see, I was walking back to my dorm room and Buck was biking to his class. Thank god it wasn’t an electric bike because the idiot ran into me!” You were laughing at the memory, Bucky’s face was fully red at this point. “Then, I of course profusely apologized and then when I noticed how beautiful the lady I ran over was, I offered a date to make up for it.” “And thankfully, I agreed! And now I have the best boyfriend anyone could ask for,” you have Bucky a peck on the lips and he was smiling from ear to ear, happy he got to share his love with the world. The chat was spammed with ‘SIMP’ and ‘biggest simp ever’ Bucky saw the comments and laughed “I’m happy to be a simp if it means I get to love my doll with all my heart.” It was your turn to blush and smile.
“Alright, one more question, then we’re gonna go get some dinner,” Bucky told his viewers. Surprisingly there was one question that was the majority, “when is Bucky gonna pop the question,” you read. “Well, he has asked ‘the’ question guys! And I said yes! I do like pineapple on my pizza!” Bucky burst out laughing and the chat erupted into dismay about your pizza choices and laughter from your answer to the question. “But in all honesty, we are in no rush and it’ll happen when it does,” you answered. “We are basically already married, aren’t we?” He laughed and you nodded. Bucky did his sign off and stopped the stream.
“Dinner time?” Bucky asked. “Dinner time,” you agreed. “Want to order in some pizza, we can even put pineapple on half of it?” You nodded and pulled out your phone to order it. “I’ll order if you wanna grab a shower and change.” Bucky nodded and thanked you, it was his after stream routine to get a shower and change into comfy clothes.
The pizza came and you both settled on the couch, a movie playing in the background of you both eating and talking. “Your day feeling better then babydoll?” “Yeah, thank you for today Buck, work was tough but coming home and having cuddles with your chat being so nice made it all better.” Bucky smiled and was glad you felt better. After dinner you both got ready for bed and snuggled together. “So, what do ya think about playing something with me on stream soon?” You got excited, “I’d love to Buck! Ooh! What about that one cooking game you and Steve played that one time!” Bucky smiled at your enthusiasm, “overcooked? We can definitely play that, a new one came out actually and I’ve been meaning to play it, how about your next day off?” You nodded and snuggled into your boyfriend’s chest further. “Night buck, love you” “love you too baby doll, love ya too.”

Ransom heard the low buzzing of the hospital bustle suddenly get more intense and knew your family must have arrived, scrubbing his hand over his face and shaking his leg with nerves while you squeezed his hand. The way you were looking at him was only making things worse, like he would always be there for you and was the only thing that could make you happy. He had never felt like a bigger piece of shit in his entire life, he almost hoped your father would kill him.
“Yes, thank you so much for all the work you do, God bless you.” Ransom felt every muscle tense up when your father opened the door and kept chatting with the hospital staff, practically groaning when his mother flitted into the room followed by the giant bodyguards that attended your parents wherever they went. “We do so appreciate you letting our family have some privacy during this difficult time. How the hell could you let this happen?”
As soon as the door was closed your father dropped the facade, sneering at Ransom and stomping over to him while he just shook with barely contained rage and kept looking at you. He hated the man.
“You were supposed to look out for her, Ransom.” Linda’s mouth was pursed tight while she too glared at her son, huffing when he refused to turn his attention to either of them and instead kept gazing at you. “Why would you ever let that man anywhere near her?”
“It wasn’t Ransom’s fault.” You were starting to cry again, the desire to lean up and bury your face in Ransom’s chest strong but not enough to overcome the sedative they gave you. “He saved me. Please don’t fight.”
“He introduced that monster to you.” Your father snarled when Ransom continued to ignore him. “The fact that he almost killed that pervert is the only reason I think he didn’t have anything to do with this and I haven’t had him hauled out of here.”
“I want him to stay, daddy.” You tilted your head up to Ransom and choked on a sob when he squeezed your hand. “I need him.”
The door opening cut your father off when he opened his mouth again, his attempt to school his face abandoned once he saw that it was just the family doctor and nurse they had brought with them.
“The doctor here is a little too eager, she did not want to give up her chart. You might need to fill out some paperwork so she doesn’t raise a stink.” The man didn’t even acknowledge you or Ransom, just flipping through your medical records and talking to your father like you didn’t matter. “Wants to send her to therapy too, I wouldn’t recommend it.”
“We’ll find a nice Omega pastor for you to talk to, honey.” Linda ignored the way Ransom snarled when she came to stand on your other side and gave your hand a demeaning pat. “These doctors don’t understand what you need. And we’re still going to find you a mate, it will be someone who will treat you sweetly and take care of you.”
“Oh, I don’t…” you swallowed what you were about to say when your father shouldered Ransom away from you after the doctor handed him your records, chewing on your lip as he frowned at you and passed the chart to Linda. “Daddy?”
His backhand caught all of you off guard, Linda catching you when you screamed and almost fell out of the bed while Ransom grabbed your father and shoved him up against the wall with a low growl. He might’ve done more if it wasn’t for those damn bodyguards, thrown to the floor and pinned there before he even knew what was happening and left to watch helplessly while your father grabbed your cheeks and started snarling in your face.
“How much knot have you taken, you little slut?” He was shaking you violently while you started crying, ignoring the increasingly vicious growls that were coming from Ransom as he thrashed to get out of the hold he was in so he could tear the man off you. “Do you have any idea what this is gonna do to me? Were you even raped or did you just make it up when you got caught?”
“Don’t you fucking talk to her like that, you goddamn bastard.” Ransom struggled to get off the floor and groaned when he couldn’t. “I’ll fucking kill you.”
“Both of you stop, we’re in a public hospital!” Linda hissed at the two of them until they calmed down, storming to the door when someone pounded on it and popping her head out to reassure them. “Everything is fine, there’s just a lot of emotions right now, thank you so much for your concern. You two idiots quit thinking with your fucking knots, Jesus. Let him up. Sweetheart, you need to explain to us how you’re pregnant.”
“I am?” You rubbed your cheek and sniveled while Linda let you lean against her shoulder and patted your hair, looking warily at your father and trying to breathe deeply while tears continued to leak down your cheeks. “But that’s wonderful, Ransom…”
He groaned when you looked at him with watery eyes, feeling your parents’ gazes snapping onto him as he leaned against the wall and tried to avoid looking at anyone else. This was it, he didn’t know why he was surprised that he’d actually managed to get you pregnant since you’d spent your entire shared heat and rut locked together. They were going to kill him.
“You?!?” Ransom pushed your father away when he tried to get in his space, rising to his full height and sneering at the supposedly threatening look on his face. “You little asshole, I can’t believe I trusted you with her, you’re such a fucking pervert. You ruin everything.”
“Daddy, please stop!” You started crying harder when they kept posturing at each other, trying to curl in on yourself and breathing heavily while you felt panic starting to set in. “He was helping me like you wanted, we just fell in love.”
“Like I wanted? What the hell are you talking about?” Your father blinked at you then just growled as he rolled his eyes. “So you’re not just a slut, you’re a damn idiot too.”
“I’m not, why would you say that?” You were sobbing again, longing for Ransom to come hold you instead of his mother. “I was good, I did everything I was told so I could be a good mate…”
“A good mate doesn’t fuck her stepbrother.” He finally turned away from Ransom and back to you and you cowered. “Did he tell you he was helping you? He lied, you moron.”
“No, he didn’t.” You shook your head and refused to look at your father as your chest started heaving with tortured breaths. “You’re lying, why are you lying? Why are you saying these things? Ransom…”
“Bunny…” his heart broke when you looked at him like he was the only thing that mattered, and he didn’t know how he was going to live with himself. “I’m sorry.”
“No.” Ransom tried to go to you when you crumpled and started weeping uncontrollably, snarling when your father pushed him back and feeling his chest start to ache as you shook in Linda’s arms. “You said you loved me.”
“I do, I love you so much.” He knew if he could just hold you he could make it alright, but they wouldn’t let him close to you and he felt like he was going to start screaming. “I didn’t want to hurt you, please…”
“You didn’t care what you did, I can’t believe you.” Linda hushed you when you kept bawling, frowning at her son and rubbing your back when you heaved suddenly. “And now we have to take care of your little problem.”
“What do you mean?” You whimpered when Linda ignored you and looked at your father, your eyes flicking between the two of them and your chest getting even tighter. “No…no it’s a baby, my baby. A baby is a blessing, you can’t mean this.”
“Hush, do you have a sedative for her?” Your father nodded when the doctor pulled out a needle, snorting when Ransom tried to charge him and ended up pinned to the wall by his two goons. “We’re not doing this here. Linda, do your best at managing any staff that may have seen her test results so it doesn’t leak to the press. We’re taking you home.”
“No, don’t touch me.” You slapped away the doctor’s hands when he tried to restrain you, looking at Linda and your father pleadingly while she pulled out her phone to talk to one of her team members. “Daddy, please, don’t do this to me.”
“You’re not having this bastard’s pup.” Your father sighed when you pushed the doctor away again, holding your face in his hands and ignoring Ransom’s snarl as he tried to soothe you. “He lied to you, his friend hurt you, he doesn’t care about you. Do you really want to have his baby?”
“I don’t know.” You shuddered and tried to look at Ransom, whining when your father’s hold on your head prevented it and licking your lips as you struggled with yourself. “You said it’s a sin, Daddy. It’s an innocent little baby.”
“We can talk about this at home.” You missed the frustrated tic in your father’s jaw before he kissed your forehead, but Ransom saw it, and it made him try even harder to get out of the grip they had him in. “Don’t you want to go home, peanut? Away from all these strangers?”
“Mmhm.” You were still crying, and you were exhausted, so when the nurse brought you a coat and helped you out of bed you just let her, avoiding Ransom’s eyes and seating yourself in the wheelchair beside your bed. “Home.”
“What do you want us to do with him?” Ransom sneered when one of the bodyguards talked about him to your father like he wasn’t even there, wanting nothing so much as to call out to you when they started rolling you away.
“You.” Your father got right in Ransom’s face and smiled wickedly when he couldn’t do anything except grumble. “If only I could just fucking get rid of you, you little shit. But I can settle for finally getting your mother to cut you off and ruining your life. You come anywhere near my daughter again, though, you’ll spend the rest of your miserable life in a fucking jail cell.”
Ransom just sagged to the floor once they were all gone, running his hands through his hair and groaning at the mess of emotions he could feel rising in his chest. He couldn’t stop thinking about the broken look on your face when you found out he’d lied, hating himself and trying not to start crying when he considered how badly he’d fucked up.
He’d never felt so absolutely wretched in his entire life. He always knew he was a bastard, but hurting you was maybe the lowest thing he’d ever done. You were so good, and pure, and completely innocent and he’d ruined you for nothing but the chance to pull one over on your parents.
But he’d never hit you. And now he’d never force you to do anything you didn’t want to do, not even be with him.
He might not deserve you, but neither did they.
“Paul.” Ransom charged out of the room and found the detective leaning against the counter and chatting with the doctor who had been so kind to you. “They can’t take her.”
“She went with them, man.” Paul looked uncomfortable at the raw emotion that was written all over Ransom’s face. “I can’t do anything if she went of her own free will.”
“He hit her.” Ransom was desperate, sighing when Paul just gave him a defeated shrug and turning to the doctor. “He hit her, and called her a slut. They’re not gonna get her counseling and force her to have an abortion.”
“I fucking knew it, these goddamn religious assholes.” The doctor turned to Paul and gave him a look that would’ve cut through steel. “We can do a welfare hold or something, she’s a victim of a crime, Diskant, c’mon.”
“I just need a minute to talk to her.” Ransom scrubbed his fingers through his hair when Paul finally nodded. “And witnesses so I don’t kill that fucker.”
Maybe he should’ve been worried by the sheer number of cops and hospital staff that were suddenly swarming the parking lot, but he only saw you. He barely heard Paul telling your parents that no, they couldn’t just run off with a victim of a violent crime before her doctors released her and yes, they could have the number of his supervising officer who would tell them the same thing. All he saw was the doctor and three large Beta nurses arguing with your parents’ medical staff until one of them managed to pull you away from them and started comforting you when you began to mewl quietly.
“Bunny.” Ransom winced when you hissed at him as he knelt in front of you, fighting the urge to hold your hands in his while you cried silent tears. “Bunny, I’m sorry. I lied about my reasons but I didn’t lie about loving you, I promise. And you can hate me and never see me again, but I can’t let you go with them.”
“They’re my family.” You hated everything you were feeling right now, sick at the thought that you had betrayed all of your values for the man in front of you but also wanting nothing more than to bury your face in his neck and let him take you away. “They wouldn’t hurt me.”
“He hit you.” Ransom didn’t have time to be as gentle with you as he would have preferred, not when he heard your father starting to raise his voice as he threatened to sue the police department for impinging on his rights. “Was this the first time?”
You nodded, but you had never seen your father as angry as you had in that hospital room, or heard him say such hateful things that went against everything he had taught you. He had scared you, and it made you sick to your stomach the thought that your father could strike you for any reason.
“He’ll do it again, you know he will. He has expectations you’ll never be able to meet and he’ll take it out on you when you can’t.” He wanted to hold you and never let you go, you looked so small and helpless and the knowledge that you were carrying his pup was sending his hindbrain into overdrive. “He won’t let you keep it, he might say he will, but he and that fucking doctor will cook up some way to sneak you something then pawn you off on the first Alpha they can find who won’t care about how supposedly ‘used’ you are. Look at me, Omega.”
Ransom chuffed softly when you finally brought your eyes back to his, leaning forward until his nose was almost brushing yours and sighing when you placed your hands on his shoulders. Even after everything he had done, you felt safe with him, and only with him. You shouldn’t believe anything that came out of his mouth, but you still wanted him in spite of everything.
“I love you, Omega.” Ransom cupped your face gently and rubbed the tears from your cheek with his thumb, crooning when you purred at his touch. “You don’t have to believe me, I don’t deserve it. But I can’t let you go with them. I won’t make you do anything you don’t want, you can keep it, or not. But it’s your choice, bunny, no one else’s. Please don’t let them take you.”
“Ransom…” you felt your bottom lip quiver as you gazed at him, pulling him closer and nuzzling at his cheek until the rest of the world faded away. “I want our pup, I want you, only you, my Alpha.”
It all hit you in the chest at once; how much you needed him, how close it had come to the two of you never seeing each other again, how everyone and everything else seemed terrifying if he wasn’t going to be there with you. Something came over you that was close to panic, the thought of being apart from him painful and crippling and making you keen. You needed to make sure he couldn’t be taken from you, you thought you might die if that ever happened.
“Bunny, what are you doing?” Ransom looked at the nurse who was still holding your wheelchair awkwardly when you started nosing your way down his neck until your lips were pressed against his gland, groaning when you bared your teeth and trying to gauge what your intentions were. “Omega…”
“I want the bond, we need it.” You gazed up at him with watery eyes and he melted, cradling the back of your head and feeling himself start to tear up. “Please, I don’t want them to take me from you, my Alpha.”
“Omegamine.” Ransom nodded at you and rumbled gently when he felt your teeth dig into his gland, a thin trickle of blood running down his throat and the crimson liquid staining your lips when you pulled back to gaze at him with wide blown eyes. “They’ll never take you from me, I swear.”
You buried your hands in his hair and whined when he ducked and sank his teeth into your gland, your body arching towards him and your heart pounding against your ribs as a flood of emotions washed over you. All you could feel was relief and warmth as the bond opened up and your love for Ransom was mirrored back to you, crying when he brought his face back to yours and smashed your lips together with a deep moan.
“What the fuck do you think you’re doing?!” Your father looked like his head was about to explode when he spotted the two of you, Ransom kissing you gently and letting you tuck your face into the crook of his neck while he turned to snarl at the man. “I’m going to kill you, you piece of shit. Why the fuck aren’t you arresting him? He just bonded her without consent.”
“She consented.” Ransom could’ve kissed the giant nurse he’d wished wasn’t near you just a few moments ago, nodding back at him and stroking your hair while you sniffled at having so much attention on you. “She marked him first, and was adamant that she did not want to go anywhere with you.”
“I’m her father, she doesn’t get a say.” Ransom wanted to rip the man’s heart out when he heard you whimper, he was never going to let that man within fifty feet of you for the rest of your life. “Get her away from him.”
“That’s not how things work anymore.” Paul stepped between your father and Ransom when the man growled viciously, Linda holding your father’s arm and trying to calm him down while the hospital staff began wheeling you back into the hospital while Ransom held your hand. “They’ve got a witness, and the bond takes precedence over whatever shit you’ve got going on. I suggest you go home before the doctor here decides to trespass you.”
The two of you could still hear him screaming once you were inside, but you ignored him, gazing at your mate and relaxing when you felt him sending waves of reassurance and protection through the bond. He did love you, that was all that mattered, your body succumbing to the exhaustion that had been plaguing you once they got you back into a bed and he sat next to you.
“You’re safe, bunny.” Ransom kissed your forehead and chuffed when he saw your breathing grow deep and easy, rubbing the back of your hand with his thumb gazing lovingly at you while you finally slept. “And I’ll make sure you stay safe, I promise.”

So I saw a tiktok...
And this girl was at a pool party and a guy tilted her head back, hand around her neck, and poured a shot down her throat. So like...Nessian?
god this is so freaking hot skksksksksks. we never found the tiktok but the premise is a girl has different guys pour shots down her throat and rates them out of 10 and of course Cassian does the best one. If you’ve never seen a tiktok of someone pouring a shot down another persons throat, here’s the pour I imagine Cassian would do for Nesta lolol
I hope this isn’t coming too late and that you still enjoy it (and that you remember the video lol).
Nesta slightly shied away as Gwyn cheered almost directly into her ear at the sight of someone doing a large cannonball into the pool. “Nice, Varian!”
They’d been invited to a pool party the weekend right before classes started, and although Nesta had been hesitant about attending, Tarquin had been so nice when he’d asked her to come that she would’ve felt bad to turn him down. He’d even told her to bring as many as her friends as she wanted, which was how Gwyn and Emerie had gotten roped into this mess.
She wasn’t full on regretting her choice to come, but she definitely wasn’t drunk enough yet to make it feel like a good decision.
“We should make a TikTok,” Gwyn suggested suddenly, grinning at the look of horror on Nesta’s face. “Come on, Nesta, it’ll be fun!”
“Famous last words,” Emerie chimed in with a sly grin of her own.
Nesta realized both of her friends were drunker than she was, and couldn’t help but sigh at them ganging up on her. “What did you have in mind?”
Fifteen minutes later, Gwyn had managed to spread the word they were making a video well enough to have a few people interested in being in it. The redhead hadn’t said what exactly they would be doing on camera, but Nesta trusted her.
Mostly.
“Okay,” Gwyn announced, clapping her hands together with glee. “Nesta, they’re going to pour shots in your mouth and you can rank them from one to ten.”
The bottle of vodka in her friend’s hand made much more sense now. Nesta couldn’t help but wish she’d managed to take a shot or two of her own before finding out what they would be doing. “Too late to back out now, huh?”
“Just go with it,” Emerie told her with a wink. “They don’t look so bad, and I’ll pour the first one if you want.”
Nesta took a moment to size up the people who’d volunteered to be in the video as Gwyn wrangled them into some kind of order. She recognized Gwyn’s cousin Eris, showing off his lean body in a pair of dark green swim trunks, as he chatted with Tarquin and his other cousin Cresseida. Their silver hair was almost blinding under the sun, but she’d risk the eye damage to keep looking at Cresseida’s curves in the blue bikini she had on.
As if on cue, Cresseida turned and looked over at where Nesta and Emerie were standing and winked at both of them before returning to her conversation. “God, she’s…”
“Yeah,” Nesta replied eloquently, fighting the urge to adjust her own navy swimsuit now that she knew Cresseida would be part of things. “She’s… God.”
Nesta didn’t recognize the two men at the back of the group, but they looked so similar she would’ve bet money they were brothers. The one with longer hair had his back to her, but he had on a pair of red swim trunks that seemed one wrong move away from splitting right down the seams. He was muscular all over, back muscles rippling as he reached up to retie half his hair into a messy bun, and Nesta had a brief but vivid fantasy of him using those hands on her instead.
His friend-probably-brother had his hair cut much shorter, but it revealed a handsome face with a jawline sharp enough to cut diamonds. He had on a pair of black swim trunks that were much looser than the other guy’s, but he was similarly muscled and all that golden brown skin on display was making Nesta ready to risk it all.
Get it together, she told herself firmly. They’re just good looking guys.
By the time Nesta had finished her crisis, Gwyn was coming over and wiggling her freckled hand out for Nesta’s phone. “Let’s do this!”
As promised, Emerie got the first pour. She kept things relatively tame, having Nesta squat slightly so she could pour the alcohol down her friend’s throat without any difficulties. They high fived once Nesta stood up at her full height, and Gwyn shot them a big smile and a thumbs up once they were done.
“Not bad,” Nesta commented.
Emerie tossed her hair over her shoulder and gave a rather theatrical bow before motioning for Eris to go next.
“I can’t believe you’re not burning where you stand,” Nesta teased once he was close enough.
Eris rolled his eyes. “I would say you have a back up option if law school doesn’t work out, but you’d actually have to come up with original material for that.”
Nesta and Eris had known each other for years, almost as long as Nesta had known Gwyn. They traded insults just as easily as they traded flirtations, but most of the time everything was good-natured. She wouldn’t deny he was attractive — and no man alive could deny how beautiful she was — but they’d always worked better as friends, dirty jokes aside.
“Open up, princess,” he told her with a smirk, holding up the bottle to pour her a shot. He almost poured too much since he was busy making eyes at Tarquin, but Nesta managed to grab the bottle out of his hand just in time.
“I think we can rule bartender out of your future,” she teased.
“Shut up,” Eris retorted, flicking her gently between the forehead. He grabbed the bottle back and turned to face Tarquin and Cresseida, raising the bottle in greeting. “You’re up, Sharkboy.”
“Oh, I’m just here to feel included,” Tarquin admitted with a self-deprecating grin. “Cresseida is the one who really wanted to do it.”
“I’m all yours,” Nesta replied, turning to face Cresseida and praying to every god who was listening that her cheeks weren’t too flushed. Eris handed over the bottle with a knowing grin, and Nesta wasn’t above reaching out to pinch him in the side where she knew he hated it.
“Just the way I like you.” Cresseida’s smile was just sharp enough that it made Nesta’s toes want to curl. “Cool if I touch you?”
“Very.”
Cresseida just laughed softly before taking the bottle of vodka and checking with Gwyn to make sure the cameras were rolling. Nesta didn’t have any warning before Cresseida was stepping behind her, wrapping one hand around Nesta’s throat, and tipping her head back to pour a shot out.
When Nesta looked back up, both Emerie and Gwyn were slightly slack-jawed at the show Cresseida had just given them.
“Hope that’s worth the top spot,” Cresseida said, smirking at the expression on Nesta’s face. “See you around, Archeron.”
“See you,” Nesta managed to return, openly ogling Cresseida as she walked away. Fuck, women like that made Nesta ready to risk it all for even a crumb of attention.
“Uh,” she began, before clearing her throat and trying again. “Okay. Who’s next?”
Nesta turned to see the two friends-maybe-brothers were at the front of line, and she cocked her head as she wondered which one of them would go first.
“I just came for moral support,” the shorter haired one said, shoving the longer haired one in Nesta’s direction. “Don’t count me in for any of this.”
“Thanks for the solidarity, Azriel,” the longer haired one replied.
Azriel just rolled his eyes and went to stand close to Gwyn. “I didn’t even know you could spell solidarity.”
Nesta stifled a laugh behind her hand as the longer haired one approached her, but it quickly died on her lips as he came close enough to talk to her.
“Hey,” he said, a knowing smirk curving one side of his lips up. He was even more attractive up close, especially with an eyebrow scar slicing through his right brow. He was so much taller than Nesta that she should’ve felt slightly trapped, but other, less logical parts of her were responding instead. “I’m Cassian.”
“Nesta,” she replied. His eyes were so pretty in the light, but she forced herself to act like a normal person instead. “Thanks for volunteering.”
“I don’t say no when women like you are involved,” Cassian responded cheekily.
“Who said you’ve ever met a woman like me?” Nesta shot back, thankful that she’d managed to retain at least some of her wit.
He tilted his head back and laughed, more of his curls falling loose from the motion. “Touché.”
“If you two are done flirting,” Emerie cut in, her tone bored but her eyes twinkling with amusement. “We have a video to finish.”
Nesta shot a glare in her friend’s direction, but Emerie just smiled serenely as she passed Cassian the vodka and picked up Nesta’s phone. “Ready when you two are.”
“Is it okay if I touch you?” Cassian asked, pulling Nesta’s attention back to him. Even buzzed, she could appreciate the sincere look on his face, and the fact that he’d asked the question at all was a good sign.
“Yeah,” Nesta answered. Feeling bold, she added, “Do your worst.”
“I’d have to, to follow that up.”
He grinned down at her before maneuvering them so they were facing one another, their side profiles on full display for the camera. Emerie counted down from three before she began recording, and the moment Cassian stepped into her personal space she knew this was going to be the highlight of the video.
Cassian tilted his head back and poured a generous amount of vodka in his mouth before reaching out and resting his hand on her throat. Nesta gasped at how good his hand felt there before her mind could catch up, but it proved to be the right thing to do when he leaned down and poured the shot directly into her mouth. She held eye contact with him as she swallowed, the alcohol burning a path right down her throat.
She held her breath as he moved the hand on her throat just enough so he could brush his thumb against her lips. His touch was light, but the look in his eyes was anything but.
“Missed a little,” he explained, his voice deeper than it was a few moments ago.
“O-kay,” Emerie said slowly, breaking the spell. Nesta blinked and turned toward her friend as Cassian released his hold on her, but the feeling of his hand on her throat lingered as she walked over to where Emerie was standing.
It didn’t take long for the two of them to add some text to the video for their rankings, and Emerie hit the share button after adding a caption and tagging herself and Gwyn. Nesta looked up to see Cassian was waiting at a respectful distance, his eyes narrowed thoughtfully as he studied them, but his expression cleared once he realized Nesta was watching him.
“You want me to tag you?” Nesta asked, taking her phone from Emerie’s hands and walking over to him.
“I want a lot of things, but we can start there,” Cassian replied. She rolled her eyes and passed him her phone anyway, watching as he typed in his username — @ lordofbloodshed — before passing it back.
“I teach kickboxing,” he explained. “You should take a class.”
“Oh?” she responded, somewhat curious. She’d thought about doing some kind of self-defense classes with Gwyn and Emerie, but maybe kicking the shit out of something would be more satisfying. Especially if her teacher looked like that.
“You seem like you need help working some things out,” Cassian added with a smirk. “I’d be happy to help.”
“I’m sure you would,” Nesta said dryly. She looked down at her phone and made sure to follow him, hoping she’d remember to try and stalk him across other apps later. “I’ll think about it.”
“All I can ask, sweetheart,” he said back.
Later, once she’d slept off the alcohol and showered the sweat and chlorine off, Nesta couldn’t even pretend to be shocked that the video had gone viral.

"I only have you for one more night."
He muttered those words making yourself snap out of whatever alternate reality you were in. You forgot he wasn't in the same company as you. You forgot he had his own company to go back to, he was the champion of that said company. You forgot it was just for a pay-per-view and everything would go back to normal Monday morning. It was Sunday night, your alternate reality was coming to a close real quick.
"What, these last few months weren't enough for you." You squeaked out. Truth be told it wasn't enough for you. Even if he was the first NJPW guy to show up on AEW tv, it wasn't enough. You were selfish and wanted more.
"The rest of my life wouldn't be enough." He charmed making you groan. Why did he have to be so charming? He was such a prick and everyone knew that but you only saw the charming side of him which is probably why it was harder to say goodbye till next time.
"Hmmh, ever so charming with your words."
"That's how we ended up in this situation in the first place ain't it darling." He mused with a cocky smirk on his face.
When he first appeared backstage at AEW surprising the Bucks with a happy Adam Cole, he made an impression. Chatted up all his old friends, making them laugh while he was the loudest one catching everyone's attention. It caught your attention for sure. Part of you wanted to tell him to shut up and keep his voice down but the other part of you wanted to be friends with the dude.
You had your eyes glued on him the whole time you were in catering, you couldn't help it. It's not like you were the only one, some of the girls were just as intrigued while some of the guys chatted about wanting a match, or rematch with him. As if he had eyes on the back of his head, he turned to your table with a smirk looking right into your eyes. Despite mostly the whole table looking at him he never moved his eyes from you. It was as if he was trying to charm you with just his eyes. It didn't work. As if he knew it didn't work he stood up and made his way over to you.
"Hey, I'm Jay." He greeted the table for once looking at everyone but you. He greeted everyone else and saved you for last.
"Hi, I'm Jay. Nice to meet you, future champ." He greeted you with a smile which took you back. Future champion? Well, that was certainly a unique way of greeting someone.
That greeting is what made you want to know even more. Watching him on the screen wasn't enough. Seeing him in the halls wasn't enough. You wanted, needed to be talking to him. Little did you know at the time was that he felt the same way. Your match was right before his tv promo and he needed to introduce himself. You staring at him was the perfect excuse to go up and talk to you.
"So what do you want to do the rest of the night?" He asked snapping you out of your thoughts. What was there even to do on his last night here.
"I don't know champ. That's totally up to you."
"Hmmh. Stay with me." He asked making you chuckle.
"Well, I was planning to stay the night anyways. Did you forget that we're riding to the airport together?" You reminded as you were confused about how he forgot about the arrangement. You both agreed to go to the airport together as you arrived at the arena. Sure it was more than 6 hours ago that he proposed it but still.
"I don't mean just for tonight. I mean after Monday morning. I mean while I'm all the way in Japan or traveling across the globe while you're here in the states. Hell, I'll fly you out to me just for a day if our schedules are conflicting. Just tell me that you'll stay." He begged, looking at you with sincerity for the first time.
"You just have to charm your way to keep me huh." You smiled hoping he knew your answer. The first night you were scared to go on doing whatever this was with him. He had a reputation and everyone including himself knew it. Throughout the months he reassured you that he was actually into you, every chance he got, maybe that's why it was so easy to give into him.
"I'd do whatever to keep you. You should know that by now."

PALIA SENTENCE STARTERS
based on the mmorpg 'palia' developed by singularity 6. add context & change gendered language to your needs !! if multi, please specify which muse(s) !!
Welcome to the general store, pal.
[…] so I guess I should say: welcome to the livin'!
Come back when you get some cash, we'll take care of your needs.
The more you spend, the more you get back. Trust me. That's just how the world works.
What can I do for you?
Make the most out of each day, my friend.
Here I was thinking you'd be too busy setting up to say 'hello'. How goes it?
Are you new in town, or just passing through?
There's something about you that just brightens up my day.
I have a good feeling about today.
I don't know about you, but I'm starting to get sleepy.
So, I think it's safe to say my job is about to get A LOT more interesting.
Are you off on an adventure?
Today is a great day for adventure! Well… any day is a great day for adventure. But today is especially good.
What ails you, my four-legged friend?
You've got a surprise for me?
I wish I knew what you were saying…
Well, if it isn't another friend I haven't met yet!
Hey there! The day treating you alright?
I don't know it [name] was laughing with me or at me, but either way, I appreciate the chuckle.
Tonight, I'm feeling exuberant, with a bit of nostalgic ennui mixed in.
I don't need your company… but it would certainly be appreciated.
Relaxed… I envy you. I don't think I've ever felt relaxation.
It pleases me to see your thirst for knowledge is so difficult to quench.
Back again, are we?
Your mischief and wit know no bounds, neither does your desire for knowledge.
Even the most cunning hunter needs a helping hand once in a while. You hear me? If you ever need help, all you have to do is ask.
You showed up just in time.
I like you and all, kid, but there ain't nobody who can stop me from bein' me.
So, how are you feeling? I am sure this is quite a lot to take in.
Keep that positivity, and you'll overcome any troubles the world offers you.
I was just settling in for my evening meditation. Care to join me?
Name's [name], but you can call me trouble.
I see that look on your face. Up to no good, aren't ya?
Let me guess: You were just dying to see me.
Just so y'know, our doors are always open for ya.
So nice to talk to someone who wants to listen… between you and me, with the kids, it's always in one ear and out the other.
There's nothin' like the feelin' of a job well done.
Some people think it’s boring all the way out here… But I like it.
It is way too early… or did I stay up too late?
You might want to stand back. I’m working on my latest invention, and I’m not entirely sure this thing is stable.
You look as though you have something you’d like to ask.
I chose to keep them around for mostly sentimental reasons.
These daily chats of ours bring me much peace. Please continue to come by, I would miss it if they stopped.
I’m also good at lifting heavy stuff, if you need anything heavy lifted!
You lost? That's okay, I get lost sometimes too.
Oh… sorry I didn’t see you there. I was just a bit distracted. Seems to happen to me a lot…
I am just an intrepid explorer of the supernatural, a detective of the unseen divine, a pioneer of pervasive thought…
I am glad you are still able to experience joy after everything you’ve gone through.
Hello, hello! You have caught me at just the right time.
All it’s taught me so far is how to die of boredom. So stop by again later and keep me entertained, ok?
Are you just going to stand there staring at me, or did you have something to say?
Sometimes I forget how interesting the world is. Like, I’m pretty sure I saw a gnarly looking beetle over there!
Aren’t we feeling bold today?
Oh, good. Someone to talk to who DOESN’T give me a splitting headache.
This had better be important…
I was so caught off guard, I realized I forgot to introduce myself or explain why I'm here.
Why don't you come back when my head's spinning just a little less?
It's good to see you again! I always look forward to seeing your face. But you know, like a normal amount.
It is… good to see you. Why was that so hard to say?
Perhaps you should learn to become more comfortable with solitude yourself.
Oh no, I know that look.
I'm presently ruminating on the darkness of the soul.
I do fear where my thoughts might go if I linger here alone too long…
Unfortunately, I returned with many new ideas and no new direction.
Beyond that, you shall have to answer the question of "what you are" for yourself. As do we all.
You were bound to return one day… why not today?
For now, I enjoy basking in the presence of others.
Hmm… What should I make for dinner tonight…?
You’re talkin’ to me?
Been makin’ a name for yourself lately. Every time I go into town, someone’s singin’ your praises.

tell me about the long lost 313 arc 👁👁
okay okay so at first glance my plans seem kinda simple yknow? Really depressing somewhat religious death filled 313 arc, right? But there’s so much more to it
For context: Cyber (creator of the CDs and metaphor for ME….sometimes) has been talking directly to 313 quite frequently, cuz he had his shit together and was taking care of things in the computer world. So naturally 313 felt a little special knowing that their creator saw them as an equal, someone to talk to, someone real
and then one day the messages get shorter, the chats become sparse. Over time 313 grows more concerned—but Cyber said everything is fine and he’s still making CDs, so maybe he’s just busy right? But they never seem to go back to the way they were.
313 slowly comes to realize that he’s not coming back
while this is happening, 313 says screw it—Cyber always talked about rehabilitation in the failed batches, let’s try that! 1479 ends up being the easiest to work with and 313 dedicated their time to making them “perfect” (aka, like himself)
Cyber is lurking and watching this go on as he is finishing up the final touches on the last of the batch just before 3000-3013. 313 knows this. Well not really, he just assumed but he was right. 313 spent ages looking over the old chats between him and Cyber, hoping that one day he’d be able to return to that sort of relationship with him
and that’s where we get to where the actual arc begins….
one day, after 3013 had “disappeared”, 1479 gets a final message from Cyber
in short, it essentially said:
“You have potential to lead all of the CDs to greatness. I will be gone forever after you receive this message. It was nice working on you all”
meaning that 313 was no longer the favorite to be the standard or leader, 1479 was.
and that Cyber took his own life without even telling 313.
this….is devastating to him.
he was supposed to be the leader, the standard, his favorite. And he’s just going to leave like that? Appointing some failed freak he’s never spoken to before as the favorite? 1479 wouldn’t even be where they are if it weren’t for him!
cue an extremely deep spiral of wondering what he did wrong, what was flawed in him, what he could’ve done better. Blaming everyone else, being aggressive, borderline violent at times. Questioning why in the world Cyber would leave
Cut to: a little bit later when the rest of the CDs discover the broken screen and decide to leave. They stayed grouped together to an extent—traveling to a spot and splitting up before regrouping, mostly looking for 3013.
313 spends a lot of time poking around Cyber’s stuff—finally getting to see the place someone he held so dearly lived in. He keeps a lot of stuff, one of which being a diary long abandoned—a note about wanting to live in a specific spot in one of the last pages. for some strange reason, 313 is compelled to see it. Since Cyber couldn’t. Just to tie up some loose ends, you know?
cut to: this unspecified place Cyber wanted to live in. 313 had seen pictures of Cyber before, he looked at them a lot actually. He would know if he saw someone that looked similar to him.
which was a good skill to have, because casually walking down the street,
Alive and well,
was Cyber.
it couldn’t be a doppelgänger. 313 knew Cyber. That was Cyber.
this broke everything in his life. He spent years believing that Cyber was dead, when really he just abandoned all of them—abandoned him
He doesn’t know which one he preferred happening
either way, he was pissed.
so he did what any normal person did and followed him to the roof of his apartment to confront him
cue: a really emotional argument that I would have written back then
basically 313 said
“You lied to us, abandoned us, gave us morsels of hope just to crush it into dust”
and Cyber said
“I tried, I really did. But I wanted to move on to different things in my life. I’m a writer now, I still code, I was happy then and I’m happy now. It was better if I made you think I was dead over just leaving without a word”
to which they kept going back and forth about, and this is the part where 313’s “borderline violence” comes into play and the fact that they were on a roof.
it’s very obvious that 313 and Cyber share many traits, namely their inability to overreact and get very emotional in arguments. It devolves into petty insults and threats of violence soon enough, until one of them is backed to the edge without knowing it and the other hasn’t realized that they’re seconds away from causing a death
and so, the staging of Cyber’s suicide emerges
Cyber ends up falling—which only fucks with 313’s mental state more because now he really is gone. No second chances and it’s all their fault. They run from the scene and let people believe it was some sort of attempt.
he never told anyone, not by the end of the arc at least. I may have thought about pulling a remembrance-esque arc of him coming to terms with everything, but I didn’t even do the first arc so….yeah

Mason mount x reader
Tumblr media
Summary- you and mason use to be together however after giving birth to your baby the two of you decided to split. What happened after seeing him for the first time ?
Warnings- angst, fluff.
If you was to tell me two years ago that mason and I was going to split id laugh in your face and call you ridiculous, that’s probably why it hurt so much when we did actually split. If you was to tell me two years ago that me and mason was going to have a baby, I would probably believe you.Very ironic how both those things happened in the space of nine months isn’t it.
When I found out I was going to have a baby I was terrified, not because I didn’t want one, But because I didn’t know how mason would react. However, to my relief he was very pleased and over the moon like I was to find out that we was expecting.
The next nine months we’re what I would say a rollercoaster. Mason changed when he found out that we was having a baby and not in a good way. He started becoming distant not that I know the reason of why. When I made it known that this needed to stop he’d apologise and help me out weather it was stuff around the house or with the baby, but then he’d just go back to being distant.
After a while of going round in circles I had enough, I was tired of feeling like I was on my own with this baby. I had decided I knew what I was going to do and luckily my baby was coming right round the corner.
When I told mason that I couldn’t do this anymore and that I wanted to break up he was devastated, who am I kidding I was too but I needed to do this. If he was going to treat me like I wasn’t a girlfriend then I wouldn’t be one. We had decided that when mason had football Lilly would stay mostly at my house and he would have her when he could, however when he didn’t have football he would stay at hers and i would have her for two days every week.
Normally when i would take her to his house i would give her a kiss on the cheek and watch her from the car to make sure she got in safely and mason would do the same. At first it was to save the awkward conversations and because I feared if I spoke to him I would cry, but as the more time went on it became so natural that I think it would of been even more awkward to speak to him so I didn’t. So to say I was utterly speechless when I saw him when I was out with a few of my friends would be a understatement. I quickly turned my head back to my friends and payed attention to what they were saying rather then how absolutely breathtaking the man i use to love looks behind me.
I was hoping he wouldn’t come over so I wouldn’t have to worry about a conversation but I guess I jinxed myself because while I was listening to my friend, I noticed her eyes slowly drift right behind me slightly widen and then look at me in a panic. That was when I recognised a family accent that I once use to love.
“Long time no see Danni”
My friend looked at me panicked I’m guessing she didn’t know what to say or if I’d be angry if she was to talk to him. I slightly nodded my head at her showing her it was fine and that there was no chance now. I didn’t bother turning around knowing he’s right behind me probably with his friends.
“I’m doing okay thanks” nice and snappy I’d say her answer was
“Good had a good birthday ?” He replied. I furrow my eyebrows at my friends not understanding why he hasn’t left.
“Yep thank you” she replied once again very short. Not bothering to look at him anymore thinking the conversation was finished and so did I for that matter. That was until I realised his friends were with him and began chatting to some of Danni’s mates.Safe to say I was utterly screwed because he decided to plump himself down on the seat next to me as it was the only seat on this table left.
Once he realised danni was talking to someone else he just sat there tapping his fingers against his thighs looking very awkward. I decided I’d might as well say something as he is the father of my baby and that is when I realised that is what I could start a conversation with
“Who’s Lilly with right now” I asked quite firm as I was still worried about where my daughter was if he’s here and he’s suppose to be looking after her.
“With my mum and dad, sorry I forgot to tell you they were gonna be babysitting her”
“It’s fine as long as she’s safe”
“How’ve you been anyway seems ages since I last spoke to you.” I slightly winced at his words realising the last time we spoke was when I had told him I wanted to split.
“I’ve been good actually how have you been” he nodded at my answer while drinking his drink that he must have brung over.
“Yeh good anything new happened ?”
“Nah nothing really just been busy with Lilly and work you ?”
“Same and football” he said laughing.
“Off course how is football” I said grinning. “Tiring but i love it so I got nothing bad to say about it,” he said once again laughing. We soon came to a comfortable silence realising there was nothing else to say and that is when I realised that everything would be just fine.

I'm curious how you perceive Luka in the show. I love what you've been doing with Luka in "one does not love breathing", with accentuating personality traits that we've seen evidence of in the show - Luka lying to Marinette about not knowing Ladybug and Chat Noir's identities, and not speaking up in Ephemeral about knowing Chat's identity, even though it was pertinent to Ladybug's plan (I wasn't too happy about that plan, but it's not relevant here), seem like the inspiration for Luka's whole "stay quiet about what I know because if I rock the boat it could cause harm" stance in your fic. The show didn't really make it clear why Luka made those decisions, but through your Luka's actions, I can better see what might have been going through Luka's head in the show.
My own feelings towards Luka have always been... frustrating. He's a nice, kind guy, no doubt, with most of what we saw of him in seasons 2 and 3 were just him being selflessly enamored with Marinette, but without any of the negative feelings that I'd normally expect from anyone who's pining over an unrequited love. I can sort of see why he was popular for that - he's about as unproblematic of a dream boyfriend as you could get - but I just couldn't look at his depictions and reactions in the show and make him into a full person, with his own thoughts, feelings, problems, and complex internal emotional world, especially since he mostly seemed to exist for Marinette. The big standout during that period that helped to develop him further was that 30 second cameo where he interacted with his sister, since it showed his feelings and interactions with someone else he cared about.
I did get a lot more from him in season 4, with him being frustrated and hurt about Marinette vanishing on him all the time, even if he still took it insanely well. I loved seeing that he can have negative feelings for his own sake, not just for Marinette's, and that he has some emotional baggage of his own, with his mom refusing to mention who his dad was. I still have struggled with understanding him at times - like trying to figure out what he was thinking that prompted him to directly lie to Marinette when she asked him whether he knew hers and Chat's identities - but they do show some more complex character traits, even if I'm not completely sure of what they are. Though I like your idea of what character trait prompted him to do that.
Anyway, I'd love to hear more of your thoughts on what makes Luka tick in the show. I don't see many of analyses of him that I agree with - either they're overly negative and ascribe some form of malice or abuse to his actions (which is nonsense, Luka doesn't have a mean bone in his body), or they're overly positive, and put a spin on his actions as being more wholly virtuous than I think is warranted (like the whole "he sacrificed his honesty in Wishmaker because it would freak Marinette out if he answered her question truthfully, he's so selfless, only thinking of what's best for her" thing).
Tumblr media
*cracks knuckles* buckle up breathers and breatheren, it's luka analysis time.
to start off, the show doesn't do the greatest job with consistency. sometimes its own characters will be ooc, especially marinette and adrien. in dearest family, she despairs over stealing galette when she's never had an issue with it before, and adrien dates marinette without telling her is identity in cat blanc (something i really don't think is consistent with his character but w/ever). if you see an inconsistency in my analysis of luka, it might be because of the show's flawed depiction of his character.
that being said, i knew the minute luka learned ladybug and chat noir's identities and decided to do NOTHING that he was an enneagram type 9, just like me. way to put me back on my enneagram shit again. I even have him typed as a 9 in my miraculous enneagram post if you're interested in that.
i liked luka fine in the show until wishmaker, when they finally gave him potential. he then became one of my favorite characters because he became interesting. you look at him on the outside and you see a guy who's easy to get along with, understands everyone's points of view, and will lend a listening ear when you need him. these are what make him such a nice person and probably why everyone in the show likes him. i mean, marinette broke up with him after lying to him for quite some time and still didn't tell him anything, and he comforted her with a hug because he could tell she was going through it. after wishmaker, it is very clear he is afraid of rocking any boat he's in because he's actually really afraid of causing conflict. for luka, conflict = separation (exemplified by his parents' relationship), and if he is separated from people he cares about, he will be alone.
luka is someone who is always trying to make connections with people by understanding them. he likes to listen to everyone's "inner melodies," which i think is just lukaspeak for comprehending people in depth and seeing their perspective. i truly think he gets stuck in other people's perspectives rather than his own, as evidenced by how he refused to speak up about ladybug's plan in ephemeral and how he gently guided marinette to adrien by telling her "knowing the whole other side of someone helped me love them more." it's my opinion that luka thinks he's less important than the people he cares about, and so in a sense "goes to sleep" to his own wants, needs, feelings and opinions. this is why he doesn't tell marinette and adrien the truth in the show, and what i expanded on in odnlb; luka really just did not know what to do, and before he knew it six years had gone by, and he didn't know silence could be so dangerous.
a lot of people said they "forgot" about luka in odnlb until chapter 7, when he was facetiming adrien. i actually really really loved that because it was just so LUKA of him to be forgotten. he doesn't think he's important compared to marinette or adrien, and so he talks to them about their issues and ignores his own need for growth/action. luka's sin is sloth, which might sound like the least harmful of all the 7 deadlies but which i think i've shown can be extremely sabotaging to others and to himself. it's also a character trait i've not seen portrayed too often, but whenever i do the characters are really interesting. those of you who don't have this issue will easily think, "all he has to do is SPEAK." well, that's literally the hardest thing for him to do! because if he does, he's going to rock the boat and lose connection, and that's the thing he's afraid of most.
this was a great ask, @flightfoot! i love all your questions but this has been my favorite so far!

Love Drunk (pt 2)
Part One Here
It didn't take you long to get to the bar and once you were there you were happy to see that it was much less busy than you'd expected. From the look of things there were maybe 40 or so trolls in here and the vibe was so-so. It looked like the place was mostly midbloods with a few highbloods so finding a seadweller among them was super easy. Trying not to seem too desperate you decided that you would get a drink and then try and see if he'd team up with you for the trivia game when it began. If the two of you got competitive in the game then he'd be more likely to want to hook up. And from what you saw on his socials he was totally the type who did these things anyway. You weren't like the main type he went for but he didn't seem immune to a curvy girl.
The game was set up before you finished your drink so you brought it over with you as you scanned the tables. It looked like the guy was all by himself while everyone else was setting up with a friend or two. Walking over you leaned over at the hip so you were in his eyeline and gave your most dazzling smile.
"Hi! Sorry to like interrupt but I'm like super new to this bar and saw you were also by yourself. Would you be ok playing the trivia game with me? I'm really nervous to be on my own but I really wanted to play."
His eye flickered across your body so quickly that you'd almost assume he hadn't checked you out if you didn't know better. "Oh well we can't be havin a lovely lass like yerself spendin her evenin all alone. I'd be happy to have a pretty gal on my team." Much to your surprise he actually stood up to pull a chair out for you. But of course your darling would have good taste in a moirail so it wasn't too shocking he was classy.
"My name is Cherie, it's super duper nice to meet-cha. Do you come here lots?"
He laughed softly as he sat back down after I took my seat. "Not too often. Been tryin not to drink as much but I like comin for the game nights. My name is Hallin. Fergus Hallin."
"Not a fan of your first name? Or is your line like famous or something?" Again you got a laugh out of him and you faked looking super interested as you propped your elbows up on the table to lean closer to him.
"Got it in one try. I just don't like my first name. My moirail is the only one who tends to get away with it but maybe I won't mind it if someone with such a cute voice says it." UGH... Messiahs was this dude easy...
The trivia game went super well. You were of course more than just a beautiful face but Hallin on the other hand was kind of an idiot. He knew some stuff but it was shocking how little he knew about movies and stuff. But between the two of you you'd actually gotten all of the questions right. More importantly though you'd managed to get him at least a bit tipsy and by the end of the game his hand was resting confidently across the back of your chair. He'd been flirting pretty regularly and if you hadn't been a gal on a mission you probably would have gone with it. He was more charming than you'd expected. You did make a mental note not to hurt his face.
Once the game was done the bar started to slowly disperse so you put the plan full into motion. Turning towards him you rested one hand on his thigh and used the other to whisper in his ear. "Hallin, would you like to come back to my hive?" He didn't even flinch nervously at your touch, like he was almost expecting it.
"I would love to. Let me go close out our tabs." His hand brushed lightly through your hair, pushing it off of your shoulder. Once he was gone you let out a heavy sigh and slowly got up to follow. This wasn't feeling fun anymore. But it was almost done, and then you could finally get Circin to play with you. You could make a buddy later. Resolving yourself you walked up to Hallin and prepared to leave.
The drive back to your carnival felt like it took forever even though you know it wasn't any longer than the drive to the bar. The two of you chatted a bit, a few of the topics enough to even make you flustered. Your car was dark but even still you could feel how smug he was because he was making you blush. He never touched you too much, even after you had parked and started to talk to your tent. For the most part just a hand on your lower back. As you held open the entrance of your tent for him you noticed him freeze at the same time you go the taser out. He turned fast but with how close the two of you were he didn't have much time to react.
"Sorry sweetie. It really isn't anything personal."

Red String of Fate - Poly! Lost Boys x reader
Soulmate trope: Pulled toward the place where your soulmate is/are?
Featuring a Transmasc (and really self-indulgent) reader and poly lost boys (who were not really expecting someone else )
Starting over. It's what mom had promised after she divorced and we left dad behind. It was the best thing that happened to us in a while. I would be regretting Phoenix, its underground scene, and all of the punk I grew up surrounded by thanks to my babysitter. But it was for the best, I knew that going to Gramps would be nice, he had a big house and lived not too far from the ocean, something I've been longing for dearly.
What made the change easier was the pull I felt that was getting stronger the closer we would get to Santa Carla. Really, it would be rather cool if I happened to find my soulmate here. I couldn't wait to meet him. I just hoped that the homophobia wouldn't be horrible here. Dad had been homophobic enough for the rest of my life.
In the car, my twin and younger brother were fighting over stupid again, as mom was changing the music. I wish I had a bike like Mikey so I could have used it. But alas I was stuck here with my idiotic brothers.
Soon mom pulled over to Santa Carla, and on the back of the big board was written in crimson "Murder Capital of the World" Mikey and I shared a worried glance: what the hell were we getting into?
As mom stopped, Mikey got his bike off the car and rode it, following us home. The house was creepy, and my brothers seemed convinced we were getting in a horror movie.
We settled down, and the boys fought for their room, running and messing with each other while I was putting my clothes in my wardrobe listening to some tunes, and hanging posters on my walls and ceiling.
When the evening came, I joined mom on her way around the boardwalk for a little while, but when she approached a tape store I decided to go my way and look at the different stalls to see if I could get something for my patch jacket. I had been working on it for a while, and it’s one of my favorite pieces of clothing from before I transitioned. It had been through all my teenage years, and I couldn’t imagine wearing another jacket.
I noticed something interesting and went to look for it, ignoring the pull I felt that was changing. Browsing through the stuff, I decided for a cool pin, and a skull patch. Very classic, but it would blend well with the rest of the jacket, which was mostly covered in band patches and vampire-themed ones. When I was looking for chains on another stall not that far, I saw a cute blond guy with curly hair starting to look for stuff beside me. As I was reaching for a cool chain, he took it, before apologizing as our hands brushed. Damn, even his face was really cute, he looked like those angels on renaissance paintings. The way I felt at ease with him was surreal, and when he offered to give me the chain, I accepted. I even let him fix it on my jacket with some safety pins he found in his pocket. He had one of the coolest patch jacket I’d ever seen, and we chatted about custom tips until I spotted mom and bid him goodbye, smiling when he promised me we would meet again.
When I went to mom, she told me she got a job at that video store, and I was happy for her. I showed her the stuff I got, and when she came to the topic of the boy I was with, I realized that I forgot to ask his name.
We came home, and I quickly washed before going to bed. That’s when I realized the pull I had felt much stronger in the angelic boy company… Shit, could it be? Had he felt the same way and was it the reason he said we would meet again? Because he knew where to find me?
With my thoughts all turned towards him, I fell asleep with my window open, not paying attention to the pull that was getting stronger again.
The day ran smoothly, I learned that Mikey had met his dream girl last night, the pull leading him to her, but apparently she had left with some bickers. I told him about the pretty boy I had met, and how I thought he was the one the pull was leading me to. It seemed surreal that twins would find both of their soulmates in the same town, but here we were. Since I wanted to find my angel boy again, we decided that we would go together to the boardwalk tonight and try to find them. He was curious about the boy I had met and wanted to meet him like I wanted to meet that girl.
I spent the rest of the day sewing patches on my jacket, adding studs and the pin I got yesterday, before meeting Mikey outside. Sam was staying in since gramps was there. Mom didn’t like the idea of letting her younger son alone.
I climbed behind Mikey, and we left together. I loved his bike and was saving up to buy myself one. But a better one, though. His had limits and I just wanted one to go wild.
We were soon on the boardwalk and started to look for our mates. While I was confused about the pull, Mikey was more successful and managed to meet his girl. Her name was Star, and while they were talking I was trying my best to try to get where the pull was trying to lead me, without success. It was as if it wanted me to go four different ways, it was driving me crazy. We were soon back to the bike, and that’s when Mikey realized that he couldn’t give a ride to both Star and me.
As I was trying to back up, I  felt the pull and turned my head to the four bikers that were circling us. Could it be?... no way… As I shook my head, the one who seemed to be their leader called Star, silently telling her to ride with him. But I didn’t pay much attention to the girl as my eyes met angel boy’s ones. The one I understood was called David dared Michael to a race, and I turned to my brother when he said that he had to take me home. Smirking, David told him that his brother was free to ride with Marko, talking about me. I silently asked Mikey what he thought about it, and when he nodded I turned to the bikers, letting the pretty boy from yesterday pull me on his bike. I blushed when I realized that thanks to this crop top I was in direct contact with his skin when held onto him. After one glance from David who made sure I was secured with Marko, the former rode off and the blond with the wild hair followed, then Marko and the brunet. When I turned, I saw my brother trying to keep up. Soon we left the sand for a road, and I slowly relaxed, even if the boys were driving like crazy. To be honest, I was having the time of my life and soon laughed and hollered with the boys. Mikey was keeping up, I was having fun, maybe everything would turn alright…
As we reached Hudson Bluff, Mike got off his bike and punched David. I swiftly held my brother back, and shivered when David said “How far are you willing to go Michael?”. After sending a smile in my direction, David led the way to a cave. I was trying to not fall, and the brunet who introduced himself as Dwayne helped me stay steady and get down. He then left to lit up barrels and candles, as Marko took his place, while I was looking at my surroundings. Damn! As the blonde chuckled, I realized I said it out loud.
Rocker boy who was called Paul sat me beside him on a broken fountain, while David was ranting to Mikey about the history of the place. Soon Marko was sent to buy food, and I was starting to get uncomfortable as he was the only one besides my brother I knew at least a little. Instead, I closed my eyes and tried to understand what the hell was going on with my red string of fate. Red sting that was… pulling me in four different ways, the closest being Paul beside me.
“ You feel it too, huh?” I opened my eyes and turned to the blond. Seeing I was silent, he added “The pull. Red String or whatever you call it. You can feel it too, right?” “I feel it too, you know”. I turned to the other side, seeing Dwayne. “Marko and David feel it, too. We were surprised, we weren’t expecting someone else after all this time” “ Four boys as my soulmate? damn I hit the gay jackpot.” My remark made them laugh.
Marko came back with food, and we started to eat. David did something that scared Mikey, but I did not get the joke. Maggots? I sent a confused look at Star, but the brunette shook her head. David asked Marko something, and when he left to get it Paul left his place to sit by me. This boy lived in a cave and ate with his bare hands, which seriously made me reconsider everything. I checked the pull, just in case, and it still led me to Paul, Dwayne, David, and Marko that was coming back holding a bottle.
He handled it to David, who took it and drank before giving it to Michael. My twin looked at me, unsure, especially when Star told him it was blood. I decided to trust the red string and nodded. The boys cheered, and David left to give me another drink, this time from a chalice. I looked up to him, and all he said was“Drink, my mate”. I felt like I couldn’t let my soulmates down, and took a sip. I felt the rich taste explode in my mouth, it tasted so good I wanted more. I drank the whole chalice before handing it back to David, who had a beautiful smile. The boys started cheering even more than for Mickey, I felt so full of joy. I was where I belonged. Mom was right when she said that Santa Carla was a good place for a new beginning after all.

MASTERLIST OF THE STORY
Chapter 6: A raven haired god.
Thor was in New Asgard, awaiting the arrival of someone he missed immensely.
“Brother!” The blond exclaimed when Loki appeared in a green shimmer and ran to him, enveloping him in a tight hug.
“I. Can't. Breathe.” The god said while his brother was squeezing him.
“Right, sorry.” He said letting go. “So, how was the trip around the realms huh?”
“I'll tell you after I shower.”
“Of course, I convinced Stark to give you the biggest room in the structure, he even decorated the room with your colors!”
“Oh, how kind of him.” Loki said, his tone dripping with sarcasm. Even after fighting against Thanos with them, they still didn't trust him enough to let him free of their invigilation.
“Don't be like that, they were all kind enough to accept you into their home, after New York.” He hated being reminded of it, but there was nothing he could do about it.
They got into the quinjet that the avengers tended to lend the blonde Asgardian to travel back and forth from New Asgard and made their way to the compound.
                                    -------------------------------------
Standing in front of the big glass doors, Loki felt anxious, but of course, he hid it perfectly well behind an expressionless mask.
“Now remember, be nice.” He looked at his older brother with a mocking expression and the other one sighed. “As nice as you can be. Please. Specifically to-”
“Yes, yes. You've told me already, the new mortal.” His brother was very insistent on this new asset in the team, Y/N, if he recalled well. Apparently she was some sort of universe traveller and had some powers, but Thor was very adamant about him being kind to her, for reasons unknown to him. But he didn't care, mostly.
                             ----------------------------------
Y/N was sitting at the counter in the kitchen chatting with Nat and Bruce when Thor appeared in the doorway. He had been gone for three weeks, taking care of some things in New Asgard.
“Thor!” She jumped from her seat and went to him to wrap her arms around him, and in response he hugged her tighter and lifted her off the floor.
“Lady Y/N! I missed you!” He exclaimed.
“I missed you too, Thunderboy!” She said as he put her down. Peeking behind him, she saw God. Well, not God per se, but a god. A certain god she knew very well, even though he did not know her at all.
“Thor,” she paused. “That is Loki.” She ended the sentence matter-of-factly pointing to him. The raven haired god lifted his eyebrows in question but was startled when she smiled the brightest smile he had ever seen. To him. The others just nodded in his direction and left.
“Yes, Lady Y/N, my brother Loki. Loki, Lady Y/N.” Thor introduced them.
“Hi! It's so nice to meet you!” She said nervously. He just gave a nod. “Aren't the others going to welcome him?” She asked Thor but the face he gave her told her everything she needed to know. “Right,” she said sheepishly.
“Lady Y/N, why don't you show my brother to his room, it is the big one on your floor.”
“Sure! Um…” She was doubtful, perhaps she was afraid, Loki thought. “Come with me. Do you have any baggage or something?” She asked.
“I do not.” Not of clothes.
“Oh, okay.”
They got into the elevator and made their way to the floor where their rooms were. Y/N guided him along a hall and signaled to a dark wooden door.
“This is your room, mine is over there.” She pointed to a grey door at the beginning of the long hall. “We are the only ones on this floor, which is good, because everyone here is lovely but they tend to be very loud very early…” She chuckled and he cocked an eyebrow.
“How long have you been here?” He asked out of curiosity.
“Um,” she looked at the ceiling, thinking. “Six months, give or take.”
“And why did you come here?”
“I'll answer your questions once you get settled, you're probably tired.” He nodded, he knew she was telling the truth, she wasn't refusing to answer, yet she wasn't eager to do it.
“Right, yes.” He opened his door to reveal a big room, by midgardian standards. Before closing the door, the mortal, called him. The way she said his name made him shiver. He turned around impasible.
“Thor left a bag in the closet with some clothes in case you want to change and I put some books in the bag too that I think you could like, maybe… anyway, if you need anything, anything, either company or a water bottle, let me know.” She breathed, finally. “Oh! And welcome.” She gave him a shy but sweet smile. He bit his lip and narrowed his eyes, too many thoughts in his mind. But nonetheless, he decided to speak.
“Thank you.”
“No problem.”
And with that she left and he closed his door.
Soon enough, dinner was served at the dining table. Y/N came down last and saw that everyone was there, except for Loki. She waited until dinner finished, in case he came down later, but when he didn't she put some food on a plate and grabbed a tray.
“What are you doing?” Tony asked.
“Taking some food to Loki, he's probably hungry.”
“And what are you, his servant?” He said, his tone venomous.
“Stark, leave Lady Y/N alone. She's kind with everyone, let her be.” Thor said calmly but with a firm voice. “Thank you.” He said now looking at her. She smiled a shy and sweet smile, as she always did.
“Of course.”
After that, she left the dining room and went to the elevator. Walking nervously down the hall, she approached his door.
“Loki,” she called to him, unable to knock due to the tray in her hands. “It's Y/N, I brought you some food in case you were hungry.” No answer. “Loki? Are you there?” She asked now, confused, but then realized that perhaps he didn't want to see anyone. On the other side of the door, there was a very confused god. “Okay, I'll leave you the tray here, if you need anything just tell me.”
Right when she was turning around she heard the door open. A nervous Loki was standing in the doorway, with a long sleeved black shirt and dark grey sweatpants, but being a professional at hiding his feelings, all Y/N could see was a stoic god. Grabbing the food and then looking at her, he asked:
“Why?”
“What?” She asked, confused.
“Why did you do this and why do you keep telling me that if I need anything I can let you know? Are you planning to lure me in and then kill me mortal?” Y/N laughed and he was pleased with the sound.
“If I was planning to kill you I wouldn't tell you.” She said with the obvious. He gave a nod, agreeing.
“And the other question?” He asked, cocking an eyebrow.
“Loki, may I come in? Your food must be getting cold and this is an uncomfortable place to have a conversation.” He lifted his eyebrows, she was shy, that was obvious, but she was also honest, which battled with her shyness. ”I'll answer all your questions.”
He stepped aside and motioned for her to come in with a movement of his head. His room was big, much more bigger than hers, probably because Tony took in consideration that he was a prince.
“You may sit down, if you want to.” He pointed to the bed and she nodded timidly and sat at the edge of one side. He sat in front of her, with his back against the headboard and the tray on his legs. “Are you going to answer now?” If she wasnt so nervous about being in his room alone with him, she probably would have noticed the jokingness in his tone.
“Right.” She sighed. “So, I'm from another universe. The thing is, in that universe you all are characters from a movie franchise called Marvel.” He seemed confused but wanted to let her finish. “So since you are a character in the other universe and I've watched you in movies, I know a bit more about you than the others.” He nodded with furrowed eyebrows. “But the same goes with everyone else! I know a bit more about them than the rest, because I watched them in the movies.”
“I have a movie?” He asked, surprised.
“No,” she said sheepishly, “but you have a TV show!”
“Hm, so how does that answer what I asked you? Why are you kind to me?” He inquired, again.
“Loki, that is a weird question to ask. I'm kind to you because you are a… I was going to say person but… let's settle with being with a consciousness, and you deserve as much kindness as the others do. Also I know you, a little, and you're not… evil.” She finished the sentence and felt stupid for every word that came out of her mouth, she was about to apologize for ever opening it, until he smiled. It was brief, and she would have missed it if she blinked. But he smiled, and it was beautiful.
“So, a weird question huh?” He asked, now more relaxed.
“Yeah, why would you ask someone why they treat you with basic decency? Imagine going around and asking every person who doesn't kill you why they don't kill you!” She exclaimed, flailing her arms to make a point about how ridiculous it was. This time, he chuckled. He actually made a sound of contentment. Because of what she said.
They fell into a comfortable silence while he was eating until Y/N noticed a book on his nightstand.
“So, you chose Romeo and Juliet.”
“I did. Have you read it?” He put the tray aside and sat more comfortably.
“Yes, I did. What are your thoughts on it from what you've read?”
“Oh, I finished it.” He said nonchalantly.
“You what? What are you, a robot? You only got here today.” She said, shocked. He just shrugged with a small smile.
“I had nothing to do and it's a good piece of literature.”
“Okay, since you are a robot and finished it… tell me everything.” Her demand was innocent, she was clearly talking about the book. But Loki felt the compulsion to tell her everything.
“I quite enjoyed it. A tragic romance, who doesn't like those?”
“A tragic romance.” She drew out the words. “I just think it's tragic, maybe there is a bit of romance, but it's not the main plot.”
“How so?” He asked, intrigued.
“It's the story about two teenagers who were brought up in families where hate was more prominent than love, which in return made them fantasize about the perfect love, or what a lot of people call true love. So yes, there is romance, but the thing is, why is there romance? Why did they fall in love so quickly and so recklessly?” She looked deeply into his eyes, “I think it's because when all you know is hate and you find something that might just be love, you take it and you nurture it, no matter how fleeting it might actually be.”
He had the urge to just never speak again, to let what she said be the last thing. Yet, he realized, she was probably waiting for an answer.
“That is a beautiful reflection.” He said. She chuckled nervously. “I don't think I could add anything worthy of saying to that.”
“Thank you,” she told him. “I should probably go to my room now, I bothered you enough for one night.” She started to get up.
“Of course,” he responded.
Before she left down the hallway he called her.
“Mortal,” she turned around, “you didn't bother me, in fact, it was… not as dreadful as I thought it would be.” That was a lie, he never thought that she could be dreadful, yet he wasn't brave enough to tell her that. Y/N smiled.
“Goodnight Loki.”
“Goodnight mortal.”

The Truck (rubbish title, I know)
Bull Randleman x Reader (female implied but could be read as gender neutral)
Traveling/Stargazing
October 2022 writing prompts
I’m getting tired of and lazy with these 😳😬 oh no
Word Count: about 734 (more than I thought it was, I guess)
Disclaimer: I own nothing but my own writing
Tags: @cody-helix02 @georgelust @immrsgeorge-luz @emmythespacecowgirl
A/N: I guess I’ll post this but it feels empty and low effort, I kinda just had ideas and wrote them down. It doesn’t really have that much of an ending.
Tumblr media
When Bull had mentioned traveling in his truck with you, you didn’t think much of it at first. He’d gotten a pick-up truck from someone and had been working on it all Spring and Summer and now that it was Fall and the weather was nice, he wanted to go traveling with you. It was amazing to see the transformation the truck had gone through in those months.
When he first got it in March, you wondered why he had gotten the beat up piece of junk. But you let it go when he said it’d be his little pet project for a while. You knew Bull loved to work on vehicles so you were glad he’d found one. Because he’d also been wanting a truck for literally the longest time.
By the time October rolled around, the truck was looking like it was in very good condition. And Bull was anxious to test it out. He’d suggested a day trip across state, just a few hours there and back, he’d said. You and Bull hadn’t spent much time together lately (mostly due to how busy the two of you were with different things). So you agreed as it seemed special to both of you.
Bull insisted you two leave at a certain time to get there and get back at a certain time. It involved coming back in the early evening when it’d be dark, so you worried about that a bit, but Bull was a good driver and he was the one driving so if he was ok with the times, so were you.
You got ready for the trip (what little you had to for a day trip) and set out. You didn’t miss Bull sneakily trying to put blankets and pillows in the bed of the truck when he thought you wouldn’t notice. You decided not to say anything though, figuring if he obviously didn’t want you to know about it (at least something as innocuous as blankets), then you should pretend that you don’t.
You settled into shotgun while Bull settled into the driver’s seat.
“Ready, darlin’?”
“Ready.”
He started up the engine and you half expected it not to work. But it did. And off you went.
You two chatted and caught up on life for most of the drive there. You admired nature as it passed you by. You got an early dinner at a diner you two loved when you arrived at your destination (which in reality just was the diner itself). It was a lovely dinner. The food at the diner was as delicious as the last time you ate here when you’d last passed this way. Then you headed back home. As the sun was setting, you admired the colors in the sky.
As you were headed home and darkness fell upon you, a few miles out from home, Bull stopped on the side of the road.
“Is something wrong?” You asked, afraid something might very well be with the truck. Though you hadn’t heard anything and Bull hadn’t said anything. You’d had such a good time so far that you’d actually completely forgotten about the blankets.
“Nothin’s wrong darlin’. I wanna show you somethin’.”
“Okay.”
He exited the truck and you followed his lead, walking to the back. That’s when you remembered the blankets…when you saw them on the truck bed with some pillows. Bull lowered the gate and jumped into the bed of the truck. He offered his hand and helped you up into it.
“I know how much you like stargazing and I thought this seemed like a good spot.”
“You know we could’ve done this in our own backyard, right?”
“This seemed more special for my special little lady.”
You blushed and hugged Bull tightly.
“Thank you, Den. I really did enjoy today and this is kind of like the icing on top of the cake.”
“I thought you’d like it.” He smiled down at you. He leant down and kissed your cheek.
You two laid down on the blankets and rested your heads on the pillows. You looked up at the stars in the sky. You huddled closer to Bull and cuddled up against him. You pointed out constellations to him. Everything was right with the world. You laid there for hours watching the stars. You eventually fell asleep cuddling with Bull. He carried you into the truck and slowly drove the rest of the way home so as not to wake you. He picked you up gently and carried you into the house and tucked you into bed.
