Daydreaming 💤
Bokuto x introverted reader 🦉
Daydreaming with my chin in the palm of my hand. This is how you sat in class, unbothered while the history of Japan was being recalled by your teacher. However, you only seemed to be able to focus on the bicoloured haired ace sitting a few chair ahead of you. You’d been admiring him from afar for sometime now by supporting him in small ways and coming to his games with a cap, mask and sunglasses on. He was more popular than ever even though he was only a high school student but you knew there was no way he’d ever find interest in someone who seemed so introverted. “Uhhh,” you heard as your focus found it’s way back to class. The previously mentioned ace had obviously been called on in your absence but you didn’t have a clue of what was going on. He looked around for help but his teammates only snickered at him quietly. He then met eyes with you and you looked up to the board and quickly read the situation, Cherry blossoms” you mouthed to him. He smiled and you releasing butterflies in your stomach before he answered the question with confidence. “Correct,” your teacher responded, “even though you had a bit of help, you’d best be grateful toward L/N-san,” your teacher continued. Bokuto nodded and looked to you, whispering many thank you’s. Considering the situation, you knew it was really just a thank you for the sake of it but you couldn’t help but take it as more. You sighed and sat back down only to find his big, golden owl eyes fixated on you. He must’ve noticed that I’d realised because he quickly snapped around back to face the front to make sure he was actually paying attention.
With that class flew by and soon after you were packing away your notebooks and pens then heading off to your next class, “Umm hey Y/N-san!” It was so weird hearing your name with his voice however, you turned around like any normal person would. You really wish you weren’t any normal person. He ran toward you, his tie hanging loose and an excited expression painted across his face as if he were trying to catch up you. “Umm I wanted to thank you again hehe umm yeah properly for helping me earlier! Akinori-san wasn’t any help and Akaashi obviously wouldn’t be able help since he is a first year and first years wouldn’t be in a third year class. If they were I’d be kind of confused honestly like it’s not something you’d expect to see but then again we can’t expect anything you never know nowdays and I su-,” you stop him before he rambled on anymore. It made you laugh a bit the way he stumbled over his words but ultimately it did kind of did just feel like a sad excuse to cut off any need to talk to you. “Oh yeah it’s okay, don’t worry about it,” you bowed with a forced smile, “or ever think about it,” you thought to yourself, feeling a little embarrassed. Now that you thought about it, you’d never actually had a conversation with Bokuto. You didn’t expect him to sound so unsteady and shy when he talked though, considering most of his talking consisted of a proud “HEY! HEY! HEY!” or two.
You knew it was better to just brush it aside and head to your next class so you bowed and walked away. “Umm Y/N-san! Do you wanna talk to class? Together maybe?” You turned back and looked at him with confusion, “Well what if we have different classes?” His face went bright red, “Oh right, of course umm well did you still wanna walk to class at least until we have to go our seperate ways?” He pointed in a random direction secretly hoping that a) you’d say yes and b) that was the direction of your next class. His is attempt to save the conversation was cute so you accepted, “Sure but my next class is the other way actually,” you respond with a small laugh causing him to get flustered. Nonetheless he ran up to walk beside with confidence, saying he was happy to go with you as you headed to class side by side. Honestly you’d never expected to be with him like this as classmates let alone like you were close friends. He looked down to you beaming as he asked, “So what do you have next?”

New to this (Akaashi version)
○●○●○●○●●○●○●○●○●●○●○●○●○●
Tumblr media
Premise: Akaashi Keiji falls in love with a single mother and realizes she's all he wants for his life.
Word Count: 4528
Notes: Ok, so this story will be part of a series. It will be laid out like an otome game, meaning there will be three different routes for the same premise, different endings. The first story being with Akaashi.
Also I'm a bit rusty, so apologies in advance.
Chapter 1: Brighter days ahead
Spring season comes around once more, your favorite time of the year. Sunny days with unexpected rain, beautiful flowers everywhere. A light breeze heaves in through the kitchen window, making you shiver slightly at the unexpected cold and bringing back thoughts you normally throw to the back of your mind on most days.
Being a single mother isn’t exactly easy. Specially at such a young age. Being in your early twenties, you have been able to raise a very smart and gentle hearted toddler. You glance around the tight space, smiling as you see remains of the good life you have had with your son. A jar full of seashells that the two of you picked up on your last trip to the beach. Family portraits drawn by him when he was just three. Polaroid pictures littering the wall above your small tv, all smiles and blue skies, and of course, not to forget that blurry one of a beetle he found at the park the other day. Simple details, yet full of love.
Seeing all this makes you think how it all happened so fast, you can’t believe he’s already five, and thinking about the early stages of it all is still a thorn stuck in your heart. You can still remember being madly in love with the child’s father, waking up to his handsome face close to yours every morning, those tender kisses that you can still feel on your skin and even if time keeps moving forward, they still hunt you on your sleep.
You love your son, he is the best thing that ever happened to you, and you would do anything to see him smile. His eyes are beautiful, honey colored, soft, gentle, with long lashes and they crinkle when he smiles, always scrunching up his nose like a little rabbit, he is just adorable. You decided to let his hair grow a bit longer this year, he was starting to look just like a small version of his father and that was just too much for you, you couldn’t take it, not yet at least. Suppressing another shiver, you turn to your shared closet looking for warmth and silently wishing he never takes a liking to bleached hair.
In the same closet hung the uniform your son was to wear this morning, “Seiji” read on the bright yellow flower tag pinned near the sleeve. His first day of kindergarten, it feels like such an accomplishment for you to be standing here, proud of your son reaching another milestone, one he has been looking forward to for years now. It was difficult getting all the way here by yourself with no one’s help, but this felt like such a reward, he is growing up to be a wonderful little person and you were the only responsible for that. Always knowing you wanted kids one day, you assumed you’d be a good mother, but reality hits hard when you had to do everything by yourself.
The melancholic morning goes on as you push around your eggs with the fork, absentmindedly staring at your baby boy with a sour smile painting on your face as you think of the past. Your parents didn’t want to hear anything from you when you told them you were pregnant and haven’t seen them ever since. They didn’t even know where you lived nor met your son. Your boyfriend left you claiming he was definitely not the father of the kid, and that fact still bewilders you, how can he not be though? He was the only one for you and you thought he knew that. More images of old dates with Atsumu come flooding in, when he confessed to you on the rooftop of the school in your third year. Your first kiss. The first time he told you he loved you. How he used to hold your face in both of his hands and just stare into your eyes for hours. The sound of his shallow breathing when he was asleep. Tears threatened to come out and that’s your cue to get up and clean the table, urging your son to get up and dressed for school.
Turning to the sink, you discard your untouched breakfast and look through the window while rinsing the dishes with soapy water. More memories come, painful ones. “(Y/N), how can you cheat on me like this? Pregnant? Are you fucking kidding me?” said Atsumu getting up from the kitchen table of your shared studio. The cup he was drinking soda from shattering on the floor, making you jump from your seat. You were a nervous wreck, so confused. But most of all, hurt, from the way he was behaving. “I- I don’t know how this happened, but it did. Maybe that one night when I told you I felt a leaking…maybe the condom teared a bit?” you were now walking in circles, chewing at your thumb, “There’s no other explanation for this.”
“Oh, there is, (Y/N). Can’t believe you would cheat on me…” he scoffed, looking at you like if you were a miserable piece of garbage needing to be stepped on and thrown away. He then grabbed his jacket and left, slamming the door shut and causing a small planter to fall from its hanger on the wall. That was the last time you saw him. You waited for him to come back, he had to, all his stuff was still there. But you waited days, weeks even. You weren’t eating properly, barely sleeping thinking he would be back any second and you couldn’t miss it, but he didn’t come back.
Feeling dead in your own skin, you reached for your family thinking your mother would know what to do, having a baby was a lot of work and you didn’t even know where to start. But the first thing she asked was if you were actually having it. Hearing your mother say that to you was even worse than seeing Atsumu leave, of course you would have the baby, it was yours and a product of love, regardless of how things ended he was still the man you loved, your first and only boyfriend and a piece of him was inside of your now growing belly. Disappointed in your reply they gave you the cold shoulder, cutting off the money they would send you every month. “If you want to have that creature then work for it, a daughter of mine wouldn’t get pregnant so carelessly. Don’t ever call us again, (Y/N)”. You still remember how hearing that felt, you were alone, completely on your own. But that wouldn’t stop you.
You sit on the dining table once more, a simple looking Ikea table with just two chairs. Seiji has stopped needing his highchair a while back but still sits next to you and you can’t bring yourself to get rid of it. Gliding your fingers over the soft wood triggers more unwanted memories. When the child was born and you saw him for the first time, you knew you had to try and contact Atsumu again, it was impossible for him to think this was someone else’s baby. He looked just like him. Those beautiful honey colored eyes and tiny puff of dark hair on the crown on his tiny head. Even his sleeping face was like seeing him napping on a summer afternoon. But your attempts failed, most likely getting another number tired of seeing your missed calls and messages. Unnerved, you tried dialing his twin brother, Osamu was always so loving and supportive, he would certainly get you to him, but the same thing happened. How can they just disappear like that? Was it your fault? You were just so tired of this whole thing. So, once you got permission to leave the hospital, you took your son and moved to Tokyo. A bigger city full of new people, new beginnings.
You had to quit college, it was impossible to pay for rent, bills, food and college with a couple of part-time jobs. Besides you couldn’t get any job that would involve you leaving the house, otherwise you would need to pay for a babysitter and that was out of the question. It was rough, and probably the reason why you feel like you can’t throw away the chair you keep on staring at, you worked so hard to get everything you have now and even if it isn’t much, is home. Home for you and for your son, the true love of your life.
And today was his first day of school.
“Seiji, come on we gotta leave soon or you will be late on your first day!” you half yelled, sipping on the last remaining coffee in your mug, now cold and murky due to all your overthinking. And once again you think how beautiful spring morning it is, today will be a day you will always remember and you’re glad the weather is on your side. “Mama…” he looked at you with a not so amused expression on his face, making you look down at him and back from your little breakdown. He looks just like his father but reminds you more of his uncle most of the times and for this you were grateful, “You always tell me I can’t go out of the house without brushing my teeth properly. I need 5 more minutes.” he declared, climbing on his stool to reach the sink.
Your heart swell just a little with pride and suddenly that tightness in your chest just breaks, you have Seiji, you always had, even when all those hurtful memories were your day-to-day reality, he was already inside of you. And you realize, after all this time, that you’ve never been alone.
───  ⋅ ∙ ∘ ☽ ༓ ☾ ∘ ⋅ ⋅  ───
Once the toddler finished getting ready, you two left the house in a hurry and you could see how nervous he was. Your son was fiddling with the straps of his backpack while he walked next to you in complete silence, something rare for him. You wanted to reassure him, but this was a new experience for him, there weren’t many kids his age around the neighborhood so being surrounded by kids was something he was both excited and terrified about. So, you settled for taking his smaller hand in yours and pointed all the little things you could find on your way to the school. “Seiji look!” you pointed to the only cloud lurking around a vast bright blue sky. “Doesn’t it look like the bunny we saw yesterday at the petting zoo?” you grinned at him happily, causing your son to grimace a bit, “Heeh? You think so, Mama? I think it looks more like a koala chewing on some leaves” you tilted your head to the side analyzing said cloud. If you were being honest, the cloud was just a blob that looked like nothing to you, you were just trying to distract him from his anxiousness. “Leaves? Hmmm…more like poop. Don’t you remember that show we watched the other day? They said koalas eat their own poop”. Your son looked at you puckering his lips out, simulating he was going to be sick, causing you both to laugh loudly at each other, the cloud long forgotten same as his worries.
And without noticing you were now staring at the gates of his school. Reassuring your son, you let him go inside the class with his teacher, “I’ll be back at 3, be a good boy!” you shouted after them and he turned his head to look at you, “This is it…” you thought, he was going to cry and run back to you, you’ve seen plenty of that in tv and you honestly don’t remember how your first day of school was but you were fearing this would happen to Seiji, but instead, he gave you his wide crinkled eyed smile, the one you love so much it hurts you every time. He would be just fine and so would you, you have each other after all.
Today was a complex day for you, full of mixed feelings and bringing out all your insecurities. Paying for his school tuition and all the things he needed for school was a difficult task with your current income, so you thought of looking for another part time, just one more, you can certainly have three now that he is in school. “I wish I could just get an actual full-time job with a good pay rate instead of needing three part-times…” you sighed, looking through the job listings in your phone. Everything was dreadful, long hours, low salaries, and on top of that you had to pick Seiji up at 3, there was no way around it. You found a bench near the closest convenience store and sat there after getting a bottle of tea from the vending machine next to it. You found a delivery job, for a flower shop, it wasn’t great, but it would definitely help. So, you called the phone number listed on the contact section and you actually got it without much hassle. The shop belonged to an old lady that had hurt her knee and wasn’t able to take the flowers on her own with her scooter. Since you knew how to drive one around and you mentioned your son’s school was very close from the shop, she just couldn’t say no to you.
───  ⋅ ∙ ∘ ☽ ༓ ☾ ∘ ⋅ ⋅  ───
In a blink of an eye a month had gone by, you were exhausted but your son seemed happy. Today you made pizza toast for dinner since he has been begging non-stop for pizza and you were currently in no position to spend money on that, so that’s all you could give him right now, and he took it. You loved hearing him tell you all about his day in school. And he was now telling you about how he met this one girl who’s in the daycare section of the school, a year under him. “So, we read together during lunch break. Well, I read to her, she still doesn’t know all the words” he says between bites of toast, happily pulling it away from his face to look at the stringy cheese.
“That’s great, love. I’m sure she is very happy to have such a reliable upperclassman.” you chuckle quietly when you notice how he puffed his chest out at your words. He is such a sucker for this sort of compliments. He just can’t wait to be an adult, and you can just pray the time doesn’t go by that fast. You bring your hand to his face, swiping sauce off his cheek.
Seiji nods, beaming at you “She even shared her apple slices with me today! But they didn’t have bunny shapes, like the ones you do for me.” he pouts a little before shoving more toast in his mouth. You normally cut his apple this way as you know he loves animals, little things like this are his favorite and you could sense his sadness towards his friend not being able to enjoy them like he does. Such a gentle hearted boy.  “Well, maybe her mom is busy or doesn’t know how to make bunnies. If you want, I can cut bunnies for you two another day, I bet she would like that!” you try to cheer him up, his eyes lighting up at the idea and he hugs your arm “Thank you, Mama. I would like that very much.”
───  ⋅ ∙ ∘ ☽ ༓ ☾ ∘ ⋅ ⋅  ───
The next day you received a very unexpected call that left you in quite a shock. “He did what???” you were taking your break sitting on the stairs of the back room. You couldn’t process what she was saying and asked for confirmation, needing the teacher to repeat what you just heard. “He pushed his classmate to the ground and his mother is making a fuss at the principal’s office. Can you please come?” you could hear the annoyance in her voice and loud screams on the background which you could just assume was the mother of the child yelling at the school staff. “I’ll be right there” you informed the teacher and explained everything to your boss. She told you to take the day off, she wanted to close early anyways to watch a parade in the tv.
You ran as fast as you could. It was about a 10-minute walk from the flower shop to his school, but you made it there in 3. Panting hard, you opened the door to the principal’s office, trying to catch your breath. And you noticed two adults and three children sitting on multicolored chairs, all looking at your unannounced entrance.
Your eyes darted immediately to your son who was jutting out a cut and bloody lip. You gasped at the sight and ran to his side, “Seiji, oh my god. What happened to your face? Are you ok, my love?” he nodded and buried his face on your thigh. Running your fingers through his silky hair you scanned the room. A very large woman with an expensive looking outfit, diamond rings, a designer bag with a tiny poodle inside of it and a large brim hat, huffing like a buffalo next to a just as large kid, with a band-aid on covering his elbow and a deep scowl on his chubby face. He couldn’t possibly be the same age as your son, “he’s gotta be at least 7…” you thought while moving your eyes to the chairs closer to you. There seated a tall handsome man, deep blue eyes, messy black hair, with what you assume is his daughter. A lovely little girl, who looked just like him big blue doe eyes, long braided black hair adorned with two hearts held by bobby pins. She was still crying, clearly scared by the whole situation, and you could see now what was going on.
You decided to sit next to the man, not looking at him but towards the little girl, “Are you Kimi by any chance?” you asked, smiling down at her, who scrunched up her nose to hold in her snot and nodded to you. “It’s nice to finally meet you, I’m Seiji’s mom. I heard you’ve been reading a book about butterflies.” you say trying to distract her and get her to stop crying; the principal clears his throat, snapping you out of the moment before the man had time to even introduce himself or thank you for helping.
“I summoned you all here to discuss the incident that transpired this afternoon” the principal says fixing his glasses up his nose without looking at any of you, whatever he was reading on his phone was clearly more interesting for him that this whole situation, “(Y/L)-kun pushed, Sakamoto-kun onto the ground, causing a scrap on his elbow. His mother here,” he signalizes grandly over to the fancy looking woman with an outstretched arm, posing dramatically “is looking for monetary compensation”.
That caused you and the man next to you to scuff loudly at the same time. “Seiji, did you push Sakamoto-kun?” you looked down at your son, rubbing soothing circles on his back to encourage him to tell the whole story. You were 100% sure that he did, otherwise he wouldn’t be sulking on your leg, but you know your son, he isn’t someone who would just hurt someone, he even avoids stepping on ants when you two play at the park.
He nodded and let go of your leg, stretching up to his full size and looking at you and Kimi’s father with a serious glint in his eyes, like he was about to give a speech and you knew what was coming.This would be interesting. “Remember when I told you this morning, I was going to finish reading the book we started yesterday?” you hummed in acknowledgement and your son continued, “Well, here I was, walking through the courtyard” his expression caused the man behind to grin slightly, very much intrigued by the toddler’s display, “I was looking for Kimi, who said would look for the book, and THEN” he changes his tone, making it more dramatic, causing everyone to be immersed in his story. This kid was something else. “I see Sakamoto-kun pulling at Kimi’s hair! I had to do something, mama. So, I ran to them and asked him nicely to please stand back from my friend as he was clearly hurting her. But what did he do?” he brings both of his hands to his face, pulling his cheeks down in despair and continues, “Instead of letting her go, he punched me on the face” both, Kimi’s father and you gasped at this bit of information and Seiji just nodded as if confirming how grave the situation was. “I weighed all my options and all I could do was push him to get him away from her. And that somehow got us all in trouble. I know violence is a bad thing, you say that to me all the time mama, but detective Connan once said” he air-quoted, “It’s not violence if you get struck first, its self-defense.” Satisfied with his recount of the facts, he sits on the chair next to his mother and crosses his tiny legs, closing his eyes and waiting for the adults to get to an agreement, he’s done his part.
The man next to you heaved an airy laugh, it was refreshing, you’ve only seen him scowl since you got there, “Seiji-kun, are you really just five?” he questions the child with an amused grin on his face and to this, your son only nods, opening one of his eyes in acknowledgement.
He is definitely something else.
“So let me get this straight” says the man beside you, now sitting up straight and glaring at the principal and the obnoxious kid across the room, “My daughter was being bullied by an older kid and this very brave young man stepped in to save the day. Why is this woman here requesting monetary compensation for a scrap? We both could sue the school for not being able to protect your students from bullying. Right…?” he looked at you, realizing he didn’t even know your name yet, “(Y/N)” you said with a small smile, looking straight into his eyes and ignoring the rest of eyes now all on you. “And yes, of course, I’m with you all the way. Kimi is 4, she shouldn’t even be allowed near older kids, is dangerous and totally the school’s fault.” Seiji let out a loud gasp, getting both of your attention and making you chuckle “Unless that older kid is my son, clearly. As he is willing to protect her no matter what” you said, glaring at the bald man behind the desk while patting your son’s knee, signaling not to worry about not being able to hang out with his friend.
But this was Kimi’s breaking point, she started bawling her eyes out again “MAMA!!!” she suddenly screamed and ran straight into your arms. This confused you, to say the least, but held her close, nonetheless. “I bet you were so scared” you said to her gently, rubbing her back while stealing a glance to her father who shut you an apologetic glance. “Let’s get your hair all pretty again, come here.” you lifted her small body over, getting her to straddle your lap. Pulling a wet tissue out of your purse, you cleaned her tear-stained face, and combed her hair, re-doing the braid that had been pulled by the violent five-year-old. “There! Now you look just like a doll once more.” smiling down at her, she returned your smile, proudly saying “Papa always makes sure I look cute, so he made my hair like this for me today!” a thought came right up to you “Papa, huh? So, this is why her apple slices aren’t bunnies. Her mother is probably very absent, that’s why she’s a bit confused right now, hearing I’m Seiji’s mom mixed with all the stress of the day probably triggered something inside of her.” in thought you beamed at her without making any unwanted comment and went to put her back down but, clinging to you for dear life she refused to leave your side and so, you let her be.
The man assessed the whole situation, how you looked at his daughter with such an adoring expression, like she was your own. He was also very impressed on how you managed to calm her within seconds, it always takes him at least an hour to get her to stop crying. And he suddenly was very aware of how beautiful your smile was and became grateful that you were there, otherwise he would probably have to take Kimi out of that school as he would of punch a hole in that ridiculous looking principal.
“So” he cleared his throat, “I expect Sakamoto-Kun to at least get a disciplinary action for his behavior if you don’t want us to sue the school or call the press. Now if you excuse us,” he held a hand behind your back, motioning for you to get up with both toddlers hanging from you, “We have better places to be at right now.” Following his lead, you excused yourself and held your son’s hand, walking out of the building.
Once you had picked up their backpacks, you headed over to the front of the school where the man was waiting for you.
“Akaashi Keiji” he said, looking at you like if it was the first time. You saw his eyes sparkle a little, the side of his lips curling up slightly. “Kimi’s father as you might have noticed.” he starts walking and you trail behind him with a nod. “I was thinking…what do you guys think of getting some pizza?” he looked back at both toddlers with a wicked smirk on his face. Your son letting out a screech now clinging to Akaashi’s leg, probably his favorite person in the world right now. “I think that’s a yes” you said, chuckling at your son’s excitement. “He’s been thinking about pizza for weeks now” you cradle the sleepy toddler in your arms and ask her softly if she would like to go to get some pizza with Seiji, this waking her up instantly and making her bounce excitedly, clinging to your neck.
“It’s a date then.” Akaashi mumbles quietly only for you to hear and begins walking towards the Pizza shop. You noticed the scowl on his face from before was no longer there, making you smile. Wait, what? “It’s a date?” you repeated after him, jogging a bit to catch up with the gang, now walking next to each other. You haven’t had a date in over 5 years, you start derailing with silly thoughts about your hair and make-up choices for today.
Anybody looking at you right now would only see the perfect family out for some fun, even if that was very much far from reality.

Good Choices (Akaashi Keiji x f!reader) — 18+ MDNI
A/N— This is my first time writing something like this! I wasn't entirely sure where it was going while I wrote it, but I like where it ended up. Let me know what you think! (also if anyone wants to message me and lmk if I need to add any tw to this, pls help me I am new) WORD COUNT — about 2.5k
He was staring at you again.
You had caught the man with dark hair and deep blue eyes glancing your way multiple times that night.
You were at an arcade bar for your long-time friend’s bachelorette party. Everyone else had been throwing back shots all night, but you weren’t much of a drinker, so you only had enough to make you a little more than buzzed.
Every time you caught him staring at you, he quickly looked away, turning his attention back to the game he was watching his owl-haired friend play. You definitely weren’t looking for a relationship right now, but you couldn’t deny that he was very cute.
“Go talk to him, biiiitch,” your best friend and bride-to-be drunkenly slurred.
“What? No way,” you declared, waving a hand dismissively.
“I’m totally shitfaced and even I can tell you got the hots for him,” she giggled, slapping a hand on your shoulder. “You deserve some hot, meaningless sex with a total stranger.”
“Stop talking like that, people will hear you,” you shushed her, brushing her hand off of you.
“Oooo he’s looking this way! Hey!” she hollered at the man and waved him over, nearly knocking off her plastic tiara in the process. He looked completely flustered and you immediately felt bad for him. Your friend’s drunken antics often led to shenanigans like this.
You pulled her hand down and nodded apologetically to the man, but at the same time, you noticed his friend was waving at the two of you. The owl-haired man grabbed his dark-haired friend’s arm and practically dragged him toward the bar you were leaning against.
“Hey hey hey!” bellowed the owl-haired man.
“Hi! I’m getting married next weekend!” your friend blurted out. Before either of them could respond to that, she was summoned over to do another shot.
“Make good choices!” you called out after her. Then, you slowly turned your attention back to the two men in front of you.
“I’m Bokuto and this is Akaashi,” the owl-haired man said energetically as he grabbed his friend’s shoulders and pushed him slightly toward you.
“Uh, hi,” you uttered. “I’m y/n, nice to meet you guys.”
“I’m gonna go hang out with your drunk friends! You two have fun.” The owl-haired man called Bokuto winked and strolled away before either of you could protest.
“Don’t worry, he’s harmless,” the man called Akaashi finally spoke. He nervously rubbed the back of his neck. He was wearing a blue t-shirt with a grey collared jacket and semi-fitted dark blue jeans.
“Yeah, but she’s not,” you jested playfully. He smiled, a subtlely sweet action that made your heart beat just a little faster.
“Can I get you a drink?” Akaashi asked, waving down the bartender. Up close, you noticed how soft his hair looked and imagined running your fingers through it.
“Crown apple with cranberry,” you replied. He nodded and gave both your orders to the bartender who whipped them up quickly, passing your mixed drink to you and a beer to the man next to you. You both took a long sip.
“So, I take it you’re at a bachelorette party?” he asked, running his finger along the rim of his glass while clearly avoiding eye contact with you.
“What gave it away, the fake diamond tiara or the pink glittery sash?” You took another sip of your drink and admired his sharp jawline.
“Actually, it was the squealing, drunk women calling for more jello shots.” You nearly did a spit take as you coughed up a laugh. So he was cute and funny.
“She’s been my best friend since we were kids, although we couldn’t be less alike.” You chuckled lightly, surprised at how easy he was to talk to.
“What, you mean you don’t want sparkly props and jello shots at your bachelorette party?” The corner of his lips turned up in that sweet smile again.
“Ha! No way. If I ever get married, it’ll be very low-key.” You were already halfway done with your drink, and you felt warm and bubbly inside. You were a giggly and talkative drunk, so if you kept going, you’d be entering dangerous territory.
If he took note of your big if, he didn’t bring it up, which you were grateful for. You didn’t feel like opening that can of worms (also known as your ex-fiancé) tonight, especially with a stranger.
“So what do you do?” Akaashi asked. He spun on the barstool a little to face you. His cheeks were tinted pink. Your knees brushed for a millisecond and you felt a chill up your spine.
“I’m a landscape architect at a small, local company,” you replied, forcing out the words through your increasingly foggy brain. You finished your drink, motioned for the bartender, and asked for a glass of water. You took two big gulps, then said, “What about you?”
“I’m a manga editor.” Your jaw dropped as he rattled off a few of the manga he had worked on.
“I love those!” you gushed, reaching for his arm on the counter. You made eye contact with each other and you quickly removed your hand and placed it back in your lap. Your face was red hot, and not just because of the alcohol.
You chatted for a bit about work, hobbies, friends, etc. He played volleyball in high school, and his best friend (owl-haired Bokuto) now played professional volleyball for the MSBY Black Jackals.
While he talked, you took note of the enthusiasm in his voice when he talked about things he was passionate about. The admiration in his eyes when you talked about your friends. How intoxicatingly soft his lips looked and how fiercely his dark blue eyes bore their way into the deepest part of your heart.
Your buzz was already wearing off, so you couldn’t even blame your thoughts on the alcohol. Why were you so taken by him?
“Y/n?” Akaashi’s voice snapped you out of your thoughts.
“Sorry, what’d you say?” Your cheeks flushed, embarrassed.
“I said it looks like your friends are leaving.” He pointed to the door.
Sure enough, you glanced over to see all the ladies gathering to leave. The bride-to-be stumbled her way over to you.
“Heeeey,” she drawled. “So we’re gonna go back to the hotel now.”
“Oh ok…umm,” you paused, feeling Akaashi’s gaze on you. “I think I’ll stay here for a bit if that’s ok with you. I can catch an Uber home.”
“Of course of course girl.” She winked and leaned in for a sloppy hug. With her face next to yours, she whispered, “You better get some of that tonight.” You blushed. With a wink and a wave, she sauntered back to the group and headed out the door.
You looked at your phone to check the time. “Shit, it’s dead. So much for the Uber.”
“I can give you a ride, if you want,” Akaashi offered, fidgeting with his empty glass on the bar top.
“Oh, that’s really nice of you to offer. But what about your friend? He doesn’t seem quite ready to leave just yet.” You laughed a little as you both saw Bokuto playing skee-ball with a cute, tall brown-haired girl. He was loud and energetic, and she seemed to match his energy well. They high-fived.
“We drove separately; he’ll be ok.” Akaashi’s dark eyes were bright and eager.
A few minutes later, he opened the passenger door of his car and closed it before running around to the driver’s side. You gave him directions to your apartment, and it didn’t take long before you were idled on the curb out front. You weren’t ready to leave him yet, so it was now or never.
“Wanna walk me up?” you asked. Judging by his offer to give you a ride, you felt like he was into you, but you were awful at reading people, so you could never be sure.
“Oh, sure,” he stammered. Was his heart beating as fast as yours?
You made your way up the five flights of stairs (of course the elevator was out of service) to your apartment. Standing in front of your door, you nervously twisted your keys around your finger. The tension between you hung heavy in the air like a wet towel.
“Do you wanna see the place?” you offered.
“Sounds good to me,” he said. You led him inside your modest one-bedroom apartment.
“Can I get you something to drink?” you asked, tossing your keys on the entry table and guiding him to the kitchen.
“Water would be great,” he said, leaning his back against the counter.
You handed him a glass of water and grabbed one for yourself, leaning against the counter opposite him. You watched as his eyes scanned the room.
“It’s not much,” you confessed sheepishly.
“No, I love it,” he said sincerely. “You have so many plants; I would never be able to keep them all alive.” You both laughed.
“Yeah, most of them have come from friends over the years. I studied landscape architecture in college. Plants are kind of my thing.”
“That’s really neat.” He looked like he was biting back what he really wanted to say. You kept your gaze on him and damn he was hot. His hair, his eyes, his insanely sharp jawline. Everything about him was just so…magnetic.
“So how long have you—” he cut himself off. Then, “Oh, fuck it. God, I really want to kiss you.”
“I really want you to kiss me.” You admitted breathlessly.
He set his glass down and in two strides was standing in front of you. Without wasting time, he put his hands on your face and you buried yours in his hair (it was just as soft as you’d imagined). When your lips met, you felt like you were floating in another universe. He was soft and firm, and the way he took charge sent a shiver from your head to your toes. His tongue found yours and he tasted like beer and spearmint gum.
Eventually, you broke apart. He blushed and said, “Sorry, I don’t normally do this kind of stuff.”
You tried to catch your breath, but your heart was beating too fast.
“What do you mean? Go home with a random stranger and make out in her kitchen?”
He laughed. “Yeah, that. I’m a relationship guy, not a hook-up guy.”
“Who said anything about a hook-up?” You rested your arms around his neck. He looked puzzled.
“Oh, are we not going to…”
“Oh, we’re definitely going to. But who said it had to end there?” You grinned, and after a second, he caught on and smiled back, but it wasn’t his sweet smile anymore. This one was more…devious.
In one swift movement, he grabbed your legs and hoisted you onto the counter. He positioned himself between your legs, your dress hiked up to your waist, and pulled you close. The countertop was cold on your bare legs, but he was warm and you could feel his heart beating rapidly in his chest. You wrapped your legs around his waist and brought your lips to his again.
This time it felt more urgent. Less perfectionistic and more desperate, but in a good way. In a way that made you feel wanted, needed. You explored each other’s mouths a bit and then his lips were on your neck and you let out a small groan when he hit the spot that always gave you goosebumps. He chuckled a little.
“Don’t laugh at me,” you whispered. He chuckled again but continued to kiss your neck, collarbone, shoulders, any part of exposed skin he could reach. Your hands were tangled up in his dark hair, head thrown back. He ran his hands under your dress around the small of your back, then slowly caressed upward. You suddenly remembered your earlier decision to not wear a bra with this dress. You got goosebumps.
His lips returned to yours, occasionally biting your lip playfully. He lifted your dress up and grabbed your ass, not aggressively, but with a sense of burning urgency, like he needed to touch you everywhere to know you. You ran your tongue along his teeth, this time making him softly groan in pleasure.
“Bedroom,” you managed to get out between kisses and moans. Not breaking your lips apart, he picked you up, his soft hands warm against your cold thighs as he carried you to your bedroom. He set you down on the edge of the bed and pulled his lips from yours. You laid down as he kneeled and slowly and methodically kissed his way down your body until he reached your thighs. He looked you in the eye for consent and you nodded, desperate for him to explore you.
He hiked your dress up to your waist and began kissing your legs, making his way to your inner thigh. Your legs trembled and you let out a small whimper. He reached up under your dress and found your breasts, taking one in his hand and lightly running his finger over your nipple. You moaned louder, unable to stop the wetness from forming between your legs.
Just as his tongue was hovering over your panties, his hot breath tickling your wet skin, his phone rang.
“Shit,” he said, fumbling into his pocket for his phone. He pressed ignore. “Sorry, where were we?” You grinned as he lowered himself to you again and returned his tongue to its previous position. You whimpered softly and your legs continued to tremble.
Then, his phone rang again.
“Shit,” he repeated, this time looking at the caller before pressing ignore. “Sorry. Again.” You smiled, trying to remain in the heat of the moment and not let the interruption bother you.
But before he could even return to you, his phone rang a third time. You groaned, but not in pleasure this time.
He sighed, said, “So sorry, just give me one sec,” and swiped to answer it. Whoever was on the other end sounded like they were crying.
“Bokuto, just calm down, ok. It’s going to be fine. Where are you?” Akaashi said. Your mind flashed back to the image of owl-haired Bokuto at the arcade bar playing skee-ball with the pretty brunette.
“Ok, I’ll be right there.” Akaashi sighed as he ended the call. “I’m so sorry, but my friend needs me.”
“Everything ok?” you asked as you sat up on the edge of the bed.
“Yeah, he gets this way sometimes.” Akaashi sat next to you on the bed and put his hand on your knee. ”I guess the girl he was with was only flirting with him for the free drinks, so he’s pretty distraught about it. I’m the only one who knows how to get him out of his funk.”
“It’s ok, I understand,” you said with a smile. He was sweet, but you wanted to do one last thing before he left. You got up and stood in front of him. Then, you straddled his lap and wrapped your arms around his neck. You kissed him slowly and sensually, slightly moving your hips as you did. His eyes widened, but he grabbed your hips and his body tensed.
You gradually pulled your lips away from his. “Just a little something to remember me by,” you whispered in his ear.
“Oh trust me, I could never forget you.”

Least I can do | B. Koutarou x F!reader
Warnings: period symptoms, cramps, small hurt/comfort⚠️
An: repost from my wattpad.
Female reader.
Wc: 1,341
You're livid at the moment. Your period was nearing and your stupid tracker said it was still 2 weeks away, but here you are, feeling symptoms of pain. It got so bad that now you're wide awake, slightly nauseous and stomach cramping.
The screen on your phone lit up, mocking you with its time, there's no way you're sleeping anymore. You can't even skip school because there's an important topic being covered in math before the big test in two days.
You took some medicine for the cramps and headache, you figured you might as well watch some comfort movies to help you feel better and distract your mind.
Quickly the movie became a little boring from seeing it so many times, your backpack was right next to your bed and you took out some papers to review and do homework that wasn't quite due yet.
But it was time consuming, soon enough your alarm went off despite you still being awake, it startled you. You've never felt more tired than right now, you lazily move around the house, gathering your things, you felt out of it, forgetting things and you're just now remembering what they were on your walk to school.
The pounding in your head never subsided, if anything it just got worse. The hallways were cramped and loud, bringing you more discomfort. As long as you wait it out until math then you could go home, the rest of your classes were pretty simple at the moment.
You sit down at your desk, having a few extra minutes before the bell rang. At least the classroom was somewhat quiet. Just as you lay your head on the desk, your name was yelled.
"Y/N!!"
That voice belonged to no one other than your boyfriend, Koutarou. You flinch from the loudness, trying your best to compose yourself and not blow up.
"Kou." You lift your head up.
"Will you be at practice today? We're scrimmaging!" He excitedly says.
Others around you paid no mind to Bokuto, he's always loud and it's gotten really easy to brush him off.
"I got split off from Akaashi, which sucks, but it's fine because I'm still gonna win." He puffs his chest out.
"Kou, can you bring the volume level-"
"So are ya coming or not?!" He says exaggerated.
"Listen-"
"Oh! Do you think you can help me study today? At my place? We can walk together after practice." He goes on.
"I don't think today-"
"You look terrible. Did you even sleep?" He notes your tired features.
"I'm trying to tell you something!" You lose patience. He was taken back, "You're asking me so many questions and won't let me answer, Koutarou." You sigh. "Now-"
"Oh." He interrupts you, "Sorry. I should get to-um class." He looks upset and leaves the room.
Great. Now you've got a sad boyfriend and you feel like shit. You shouldn't have raised your voice at him, he couldn't have known.
Class went on and it felt like forever, you were for sure leaving after math, this was unbearable. The bell rang for lunch and you were one of the first ones out, signing yourself to leave and on your way home.
You still feel bad about Koutarou, you sent him a message asking to talk, but he hasn't answered. He never leaves you on delivered, especially for this long.
The lack of sleep definitely hit you as soon as you plopped on your bed, you barely changed out of your school uniform, leaving your backpack on your bed as you drifted off to sleep.
Your mom comes in to check on you, noticing you're still sleeping. You had told her you felt sick and she made sure to check up on you.
"She's sleeping still, if you want to come back later you can." Your mom whispers to Koutarou as he enters the room, freshly showered.
"Is it alright if I stay? I promise I won't stay the night, I just want to make sure she's ok." He looks over at you worriedly.
"Of course, you're always welcome here." She says and with that silently shuts the door.
Koutarou sits on the edge of your bed, he heard from one of your friends that you didn't feel well at all and left before lunch.
Now he feels like he was over dramatic with you, he scolds himself for not taking in your body language first before disturbing you.
He sits beside you on the bed, your head easing itself on his lap, he played with your hair, hoping it'll get rid of whatever you're feeling. Your mom came back with some homemade soup and water, he thanks her as she sets it down.
You shift in your sleep, slowly opening your eyes, the headache has gone down quite a bit, but it still lingers.
"Woah woah, easy, baby." Koutarou whispers.
"Kou?" You sit up, getting a good look at him. "What time is it? Did I miss the practice?"
"Don't worry about it, my team won, but that's besides the point." He breathes. "I'm sorry for not noticing that you were sick. I overreacted."
"I should be the one apologizing. I yelled at you this morning. I'm sorry, Kou." Your place a hand on his cheek. He places one of his on top of yours.
"Still, I shouldn't be yelling that early anyway." He chuckles.
"Me too." You join him. "I'm really sorry." You frown.
"It's okay, babe." He kisses your forehead. "Are you hungry? Do you want some medicine?" He's attentive to you, reading your body language.
"I am kinda hungry." You yawn.
"Lucky for you." He says and reaches over you, "I have soup." He sheepishly smiles.
"Thank you, Kou. I wasn't feeling good at all earlier." You sigh. "I wanted to at least wake up for the practice, but that obviously didn't happen."
"It's okay. Your health is more important, call me next time you can't sleep. I want to help." He says sweetly, spoon feeding you.
"I didn't even sleep."
"Well neither would I if you called me, I could've kept you company." He kisses your cheek.
"Yeah." You smile. Eating the soup you're pretty sure your mom made. "How was the practice game? You said you won."
"It went well." He looked off to the side.
"Kou." You knew that look. "Don't tell me you got all emo mode." Your face was frowning, knowing you were the cause of it.
"I couldn't help it! I thought you were mad at me." He huffs. "You haven't even told me what's wrong either." He crossed his arms dramatically and continued to look away.
"Kou." You let out a breathy laugh. "I'm about to be on my period. That's why I don't feel good." You unwrap his arms and put one of them around you.
"It's not supposed to start for another 2 weeks I thought? I track it on my phone." He brings you impossibly closer to him.
"You and me both." You rolled your eyes. "Otherwise I would've been more prepared and I wouldn't have gotten this bad."
"I'm sorry." He kisses your forehead. "I'll make you feel better." He finished feeding you the soup and places the plate back where your mom had set it.
He moved you both so you'd be lying down on the bed, easing your headache. You tested your head on his chest.
"Thank you, baby." You mutter. "I feel so much better already."
"It's the least I can do." He hums and kisses the top of your head.
He promised your mom he wouldn't be spending the night, but here he was, sleeping so peacefully with you in his arms.
Your mom came in to collect the plate and didn't have the heart to wake either of you up, she snapped a quick picture and shut the door behind her.

Kuroo x cool fem reader
~~~
The sounds of squeaking sneakers could be heard coming from the Fukurodani gym. The school’s volleyball team was having a practice match against Nekoma, and the last point was finally scored by none other than the team’s captain himself.
The team erupted in cheers as the dark haired blocker peered through the net at his friend.
“What did I tell ya? Huh?” He said with a cocky smile. “I knew my team would win, didn’t I?”
The gray haired spiker looked away and furrowed his eyebrows.
“You guys just got lucky this time” He pouted, as Kuroo still wore his shit eating grin.
“Was it now? ‘Cause I really don’t think that me and Kenma could’ve pulled off sheer luck that many times, isn’t that right Kenma?” Kuroo said as he grasped the poor setter's shoulders.
“I dunno… it could’ve been luck for all we know.” Kenma mumbled, as Kuroo pushed him aside.
“Come on, don’t say that Kenma. You’re making us look bad.” He said, shaking his head. The three all headed to their bags to get a drink of water. Bokuto pulled out his phone and saw two notifications from you.
You:
hey is the game over yet?
You:
i can meet u there in like 10
Bokuto smiled at his phone, glad to see that his plan was gonna work.
Bokuto:
Yeah that works!!
Bokuto:
And you gotta trust me on this one, you guys will totally hit it off!!”
You:
we’ll see about that
Bokuto put his phone in his pocket. He had plans to set up two of his closest friends and he needed to make sure it went well.
Bokuto:
Trust me. It’ll be great.
You looked at the final message Bokuto sent and rolled your eyes, before falling back onto your bed.
~~~
One day earlier…
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU GOT A 93 ON YOUR EXAM??” Your best friend cried, staggering away from you with shock. “I mean exactly what it sounds like, Bo.” You grinned, sliding the test towards him. You leaned back in your chair with a proud smirk plastered on your face as Bokuto’s eyes scanned over your paper. “How is that even possible..??” He questioned, slamming his head down against the table as he groaned with annoyance. You laughed at his actions as you reached his downward facing paper. “I guess I’m just a genius. And c’mon, yours can’t be that bad.” You rolled your eyes as you flipped over his paper.
“57, Not impressed”
You couldn’t help but laugh at his results. “OH MY GOD BO...57?? I’M SORRY BUT LIKE…57..BWAHAHAHA” Your best friend groaned again, pulling his hair over his ears.
You wiped your tears as you finally calmed down.”I’m sorry, I really didn’t mean to laugh, but like how do you even manage to score that low?” You grinned at him. “Leave me alone” He carried out the last word as his voice was muffled against the table. “I don’t need another nerd making fun of my grades.” This made you perk up a bit. “Another? I didn’t know Akaashi made fun of your grades.” He finally tilted his head against the desk so you could see his face. “No, not him, I mean Kuroo. The guy will never give me a freaking break.” He whined as you laughed again. “Oh yeah? Sounds like me and this “Kuroo” would get along.” You joked, causing Bokuto to shoot up and look at you.
“Wait a minute..” He squinted, rubbing his chin. “You might be right, you guys are pretty similar.” He thought out loud. “How so?” You encouraged him to continue, to which he responded with the similarities of your humor, personalities, and even intelligence.“...So yeah, I’d say you guys are prettyyy similar.” he finished. “He must be a cool guy then, eh?” You raised your eyebrows. Bokuto had a smile creeping onto his face as he had an idea pop into his head. “Oh yeah, totally. You guys should hang out sometime!” He pushed. “I dunno, Bo. I don’t even know the guy, and I know plenty of people already.” You looked at your friend, who now had a big smile plastered onto his face. “Oh come onnnn, you guys will totally hit it off!” He claimed, and you gave him a skeptical look. You rolled your eyes playfully at him as you finally agreed. “Fine, but just because I wanna see how cool this guy really is.” You said as your friend cheered. “Yes! Yes! You guys will get along perfectly! I know the perfect time for you to meet! Just you wait!” He exclaimed as you rolled your eyes playfully.
He better not be too much like Bokuto, I really don’t think I’ll be able to handle having another idiot for a friend.
But what you didn’t know is that Bokuto had a bit more up his sleeve than you may have thought.
~~~
Present day…
You quickly pulled on a pair of sweatpants and an old tee shirt before heading downstairs. You opened the door to be hit with a cool autumn breeze as you began walking to where Bokuto told you to go.
You finally arrived at a small café that was by the school and headed in. You looked around at the few people in the building hoping to see your friend, but he was not there.
Huh, I’m pretty sure this was where he said. You thought as you sat down at a small table by the door. You pulled out your phone to text Bokuto as you heard the door open behind you. You turned around to see a tall boy with black hair. He looked about your age, and was quite attractive. He looked around the store eagerly until he caught your eye. You slightly smiled at him and decided to speak up. “‘Are you meeting someone here too?” You asked as he grinned back. “Yup.” You laughed slightly as you looked back down to your phone to send another text to Bokuto.
You:
yo im here, where r u?
Seen, 1:15
You:
I hate to break it to you bo but i know ur reading this
Seen, 1:17
You rolled your eyes at your friend as you then heard a chair scuffing across from you. You looked up to see the black haired boy from earlier standing before you. “Mind if I sit here?” He said, with his cocky grin back on his face. You felt yourself smiling back at the boy as you nodded. “Go ahead.” He sat down across from you and nodded a thank you. You looked back down at your phone, still awaiting a response from Bokuto, to find that your messages were still left on read. You were starting to get annoyed and began to type another message, but before you could send it you heard a voice clear across from you.
“Who are ya texting?” The boy across from you asked. You looked up to meet his eyes and cocked an eyebrow. “Why would I tell you that?” The boy laughed lightly, before looking back at you. “Well don’t you think it’s a bit rude to be on your phone when you could be talking to a really cool guy who happens to be right across from you?” You shook your head at him with annoyance before meeting his eyes once again. “Well don’t you think it’s a bit rude to intrude on a strangers personal conversations?” You shot back, to which the boy raised his eyebrows in amusement. “Who says we have to be strangers?” You slightly laughed at his question before responding. “Well considering that we know nothing about each other I’d say that that is what we are.” The boy smiled slightly as he rested his head in the palm of his hand. “But we don’t have to stay strangers, you know?” He said as you rolled your eyes at him and looked back at your phone. “And I wouldn’t say that we know nothing about each other.” He continued, causing you to look back up at him. “Oh yeah? Well then what do you know about me Mr. Smart Guy?” You raised your eyebrows as he laughed. “Well I know that you must like coffee.” He gestured to the café that you guys were in. “Yeah? Well what kind do I like?” You questioned him, to which he shrugged. “You tell me.” You laughed at his statement. “‘You tell me’? I thought you were supposed to know this about me already.” You playfully squinted at him. “Well if you tell me I’ll be learning something about you.” His smile grew as he saw your amusement. “Touché Mr. Smart Guy. My favorite type of coffee is [favorite type].” You gave in to the boy as he leaned back proudly. “See? Now I already know you a little better.” You shook your head at the boy with a smile. “Yeah, well what can you even do with that information?” You questioned him, as he stood up “I’ll be right back.” He said with a grin, walking towards the counter.
You watched as the tall boy said his order, feeling an unfamiliar feeling from being with him. You usually took a while to warm up to someone but he was different. It was like he could read your mind or something and was able to figure out how to get on your good side right away. It was weird.
A moment later, your thoughts were interrupted at the sound of two plastic cups hitting the table. “Hopefully you didn’t miss me too much.” The tall boy sat back down and slid you a drink. You shook your head with amusement. “You are ridiculous.” “And you are welcome for the drink.” The boy replied, taking a sip of his coffee. “So now you gotta figure something out about me.” He smiled as you sipped your drink. “Oh yeah? And why is that?” You asked. “So then we can finally go from “strangers” to “acquaintances”.” He grinned. “And who says that’s how we can become acquainted?” You asked in a teasing tone. “I do. Now what do you know about me?” The boy smirked slightly at seeing you squint at him, clearly amused by his question. “Well I know you like to buy random girls coffee.” You teased, to which he shook his head. “Nope, that's just one.” He laughed, as you found yourself blushing a bit. “And why is that?” You asked, as the boy gave you another smile. “Because maybe she seemed to have something special about her.” Which made you look down to hide your reddened face.
This boy.
He tilted his head down to try to see you again. “Getting a little blushy now, are we?” He teased, as you got yourself together and looked back up. “You wish.” He raised his brows at you as you continued. “And besides, it’s gonna take a bit more than a stranger to make me blush. Even if he’s pretty cute.” You smirked, as it was now his turn to flush pink. He quickly recovered and grinned back at you again. “Well how about a cute acquaintance?” He said, which caused you to laugh. “You tell me.” He rested his hands on the back of his head as he leaned back. “Well then, my dear acquaintance, how about we figure that out at dinner tomorrow at 7?” He asked you with a slight hint of nervousness in his voice.
Holy shit, is he asking me out?
You felt a big smile tugging at your lips as you pretended to think about his offer. “Hmm, I guess that sounds good.” You finally said, causing the two of you to smile. “Alright then. I guess I will see you there.” He said, standing up. “I guess so.” You agreed. He gave you one last smile before he turned to leave, but you quickly stopped him.
“Woah, woah, woah. You’re not just gonna leave without telling me your name, are you?” He laughed as he responded. “What, is ‘Mr. Smart Guy’ not gonna cut it anymore?” When he saw you squint at him he continued. “Alright, fine. The name’s Kuroo.” Your eyes widened briefly at the realization. That idiot set us up, didn’t he? But you shook it off as you decided to introduce yourself as well. “Nice to meet you, Kuroo. I’m Y/N.” You smiled, making him nod his head and repeat the name. “Y/N. Well it’s been nice to become acquainted with you, Y/N. I’ll see you tomorrow.” He said. “See you tomorrow.” You gave him one last look before walking out the door.
As you began to walk home, you felt your phone buzz. You picked it up and read the notification from your friend.
Bokuto:
You’re welcome for the free date.
You shook your head at your friend before smiling at the phone. Maybe he’s not as much of an idiot as you thought after all.
~~~
A/N:
HIII I DIDNT HAVE MUCH TIME TO SPELL CHECK SO HOPEFULLY THIS ISNT TOO BAD
I ALSO  WROTE THIS AT LIKE 1 AM SO ITS KINDA SHITTY BUT HERE U GO!!
~~~
BONUS!!!
"Why did you drag me out here again?"
"I told you already, I'm setting up Y/N and Kuroo!"
"I understand that, but why do I have to be here for that?"
"..Because I didn't want to be alone..?"
The dark haired setter sighed at his friends straight forward response. The pair was hidden behind bushes outside of the cafe, as Bokuto excitedly waited for Kuroo to enter.
"OOH, OOH, KAASHI LOOK!"
The two watched as Kuroo walked into the small coffee shop.
"Wow, that's amazing." Akaashi replied sarcastically as Bokuto ignored him.
"He has no idea about Y/N. I told him I'd be meeting up with him today and- HELL YEAH HES SITTING AT HER TABLE!" The grey haired boy cheered as he saw his plan come together.
Akaashi sighed at his friend's behavior as he leaned back behind the bush.
"If we get caught you better tell them that I have nothing to do with this."
Bokuto Koutarouㅡpart two
Tumblr media
part 2 continues where the previous one left off
now that your awkward ass is finally acquainted with your brother's friend, Bokuto Koutarou
unexpected conflicts rise
and suddenly,
you're pregnant??
"So, how was it?”
Your brother asks the boy holding a file between his hands. Bokuto has his eyebrows crossed and eyes focused on the document handed by your brother. As the captain of Fukurodani, he is also responsible for tasks concerning the team. This includes checking the official list of members for club budgeting. Bokuto hums in question, but orbs still fixated on the paper.
“The other day when you gave cookies to my sister. Did she open the door for you, or did she simply shout and instruct you to leave the cookies at the doorstep of her bedroom?”
Bokuto finally looks up to his friend after signing the document. His lips curl, and his right eyebrow shoots up.
“It actually went well.” Bokuto hands the file back to your brother, sighing, perhaps drained from reading a bunch of standard text. Your brother lets out an airy laugh.
“Really?”
“Yeah.” Bokuto nods. “We watched a movie after I gave her the cookies.” Your brother’s mouth falls ajar.
“YOU’RE SHITTING ME!” He screams, a type of reaction your prim-and-proper brother rarely does. Plus, the fact that he cursed too is something extraordinary. The captain and ace nods again. Your brother continues. “What did you both watch?”
“50 First Dates.” Bokuto nonchalantly says.
“A ROMANCE MOVIE?” the whites of the eyes of your brother shows as he refuses to believe what he’s hearing.
“Why? Is that something special?” Bokuto asks when he observes your brother losing his shit over something somewhat normal for him. Your brother pulls the rim of his collared uniform, adjusting his neck to each side before clearing his throat.
“Okay, first.” He raises one finger in the air. “My sister lives in a cave.”
“Cave?” Bokuto mutters to himself, scratching his chin as he ponders.
“She hates interacting with new people, or maybe she isn’t comfortable with new people, but either way, you get my point. So, the most I could imagine her doing was thanking you for the cookies then shutting the door on your face, but she didn’t! That’s something that surprises me. And then now you’re telling me…” your brother swallows, shutting his eyes and tilting his head to the side as disbelief washes over him. “You watched a movie with her. To be specific, a romance movie.” He emphasizes the words to Bokuto.
“And?” The captain of the volleyball team peers at his friend sideways. Obviously confused about what’s he is pertaining to.
“You know, she would rather stab herself in the throat than watch two people be lovey-dovey on the screen.” Your brother speaks monotonously. His eyes are dead serious as he looks at his friend.
“That’s a bit too much.” Bokuto counters.
“It’s the reality.”
“No, because when we watched the movie together, she was blushing the majority of the time. I had my eyes on her at almost every scene, and I think it’s cute that she tries to hide the blush on her cheeks by tucking her legs up on the couch and covering her face with a pillow.”
Your brother blinks repeatedly. His jaw unclenched as he lets the words sink in. He breaks the silence.
"Bokuto, are you sure you went to the same address ‘cause that’s not my sister.” Bokuto pouts cutely.
“You were there when I arrived, remember? When I was knocking on her door, you were on your way out.” The owl-looking boy laid out facts that consequently only made the pulse in your brother’s temples pound louder. Bokuto was right, and your brother knows that. He was there when he came by to give you cookies, but the overwhelming information he learned today was too much for him to comprehend.
Soon, the coach of Fukurodani volleyball team whistles, signaling the start of practices. Bokuto then jogs back to the court after waving your brother farewell.
~~
Surprisingly, a couple of days after the revelation of what happened between you and Bokuto, everything went back to normal. The last time you spoke with the captain and ace was when he gave you cookies. Thankfully, your brother is slowly getting over the fact that you were an entirely different person in front of his friend.
"Bokuto! Have you seen my sister?" Your brother shouts from the entrance of the gym. The boy he called and his teammates are currently practicing service. He stands behind two members, waiting for his turn.
"I didn't!" Bokuto shouts back then he realizes, you're not a student from Fukurodani, so why is his friend asking about your whereabouts. His questions were answered when your brother spoke.
"She's visiting Fukurodani since she was around the area. We were supposed to go home together, and I told her to wait for me at the volleyball gym, but my schedule changed. Tell her I'll be at the student council office if she drops by. She knows where it is." Your brother says in a hurry. He didn't even bother waiting for Bokuto's reply when he left the gym. Nonetheless, Bokuto nods.
After the strenuous practice, Bokuto decided to freshen up in the restroom. Coincidentally, he sees you running around the corner upon exiting the gym. Tagged with a friend, you entered the female's comfort room.
You immediately pushed yourself inside an empty cubicle. Lowering your back, your friend quickly gathers your hair in one hand. Your stomach grumbles loudly before the acid in your insides crawls up to your throat, subsequently making you throw up all the half-digested food in your body.
"That's the second time today, (y/n). Are you sure you're okay?" Your friend asks. Your good friend was kind enough to tag along with you to Fukurodani to meet with your brother. Your pale face worried her, thinking you might pass out before you could meet with your sibling.
"I'm fine." You wipe your mouth using your handkerchief.
At this very moment, Bokuto is already standing outside of the females' comfort room, waiting for you to come out and tell you about the details your brother asked him to.
"I think I'm pregnant." You joke, smiling weakly at your friend. The latter giggles quietly before smacking you on the arm.
Bokuto panics. He knows that he wasn't supposed to be the first person to know about your news. You're pregnant. Bokuto immediately rushes back to the gym and looks for his working brain cell.
Akaashi Keiji.
"AKAASHI!!" He calls for the setter. His loud voice earned curious gazes from the other members. Bokuto spots the younger near the net, and instantly he rushes to him.
"Bokuto-san, what's wrong?" Despite the panic on Bokuto's face, Akaashi remained calm.
"The situation is complicated, but there's only one thing I should do." Bokuto dramatically puts his hand on Akaashi's shoulder. He has his head lowered as he comes up with a plan.
"What are you talking about?" The setter asks. Bokuto meets with his eyes.
"It's a big step for me, Akaashi." Bokuto shuts his eyes, then slowly shakes his head to each side, earnestness etched on his face.
Light footsteps resonate from the entrance of the gym. Bokuto turns his head to the source and sees you right away. He sucks in air, removing his hand on the setter's shoulder before turning his body to you.
"Hey, Bokuto-san!" You greet him, but he ignores you by asking,
"Do you have a boyfriend?" He blurts out so loud that everyone in the gym, including the coach, heard his question. Is this a prank? You thought. You open your mouth, but no words roll out. You close it, open it again, and finally find your voice.
"N-no?" You stutter, feeling embarrassed that all eyes are on you now. Bokuto hisses, putting his hand over his temples and massaging it. As if he's stressed out that... you don't have a boyfriend? Wasn't that supposed to be your problem?
"Your brother will get mad." Bokuto purses his lips into a thin line. "But don't worry. I'll get you covered. I am not an expert on this, but I'll help you out." You crumple your face in confusion, waiting for him to say it's an April fools prank on the month of June, but he wasn't joking. He wasn't even near joking.
"I'll call your brother. I'll tell him I'll take you to your house now. But please.." Bokuto nears you. He looks at you in the eyes, and sincerity floods in. "Keep it. I promise I'll help you out." He waits for you to answer him.
"Thanks?" You mutter despite not knowing what he is talking about. Bokuto nods before turning his attention back to the setter.
"Akaashi, I need a favor. I'll text you the list." He says before pulling his phone from his pocket and dialing your brother's number. His conversation him comprises of short responses. When the call was over, he looked at you.
"Your brother agreed. Let's go." He pulls you by the wrist and leaves the gym. He left everyone, even you, baffled with what just happened.
On your way home, Bokuto kept asking about your condition. He is being extra sweet and caring to you today, but something must have caused it. You reach your home, and immediately Bokuto ushers you to lie down on the couch. You oblige and watch him navigate through the kitchen. A few minutes after settling down, the doorbell on the front door rings.
Bokuto pulls the door open to reveal a boy from earlier. Akaashi holds two plastic bags of food, baby bottles, chips, biscuits, and healthy drinks. You greet the setter with a slight bow, and he does the same.
"Thank you, Akaashi." Bokuto takes the bags from Akaashi's grip.
Suddenly you feel the acid in your stomach creep up to your throat. You run to the bathroom, and vomit out kneeling next to the toilet. The conversation of the players' echo in the small apartment.
"What is happening, Bokuto-san?" A voice, seemingly coming from the setter, sounded.
"That's the problem." Bokuto answers, presumbly talking about you puking. You flushed the toilet after pushing yourself up. "She's pregnant."
Your eyes widen, and your feet gain their own life by immediately taking you out to meet the two boys.
"WHAT?!" Your voice increases. The two boys whip their heads to you. You are pregnant, but you are as surprised as them.
"Did I hear that correctly?" You pause, pointing to yourself. "Me? Pregnant?"
"Yes," Bokuto says in confidence.
"I don't even have a boyfriend!" You throw your hands in the air. You can't believe Bokuto thought you were pregnant.
"You can be single and be pregnant," Bokuto argues. Your voice hitches up.
"But I'm a vir-" Your bite down your tongue, holding yourself back from completing the last word of the sentence. Akaashi's eyelids peel open, and a tint of rose paints his cheeks. Likewise, you feel your body heat up from shame.
"You're a vir?" Bokuto, as dense and clueless as he is, asks. This time it's Akaashi's term to put his hand on the captain's shoulder.
"Bokuto-san, don't ask." Akaashi shakes his head to a no. Bokuto glances at him before focusing his eyes back on you.
"I heard you tell your friend you're pregnant in the comfort room," Bokuto utters.
Now it all makes sense. He took your joke seriously. Your brother will get mad at you because you're pregnant at a young age, and the father of your child is unknown. You sigh in frustration, but the idea that he was ready to become a father to your child sends butterflies in your stomach. He even bought you food and baby bottles in preparation for your supposed pregnancy. You bite the insides of your cheeks. You don't know how to feel about this.
"It was a joke." Your voice has calmed. "It was a running joke between us friends that when someone is sick and presumably has symptoms similar to an early stage of pregnancy, we joke about being pregnant. But I'm not. I seriously am not."
"But-" He argues but you cut him off.
"I'm sure. I swear." You say with conviction. While you and Bokuto exchange words, Akaashi notices a familiar box inside a trashcan near the front door. He narrows his eyes as he peers at it then an idea hits him.
"Bokuto-san, when we were making the cookies, and I asked you to get the cocoa powder from the pantry, where did you get it from? The top shelf or the middle shelf?" Akaashi asks out of the blue, changing the topic. Bokuto faces him.
"The top shelf." He answers after thinking it through. Akaashi lets out a dragging sigh.
"I told you to get the cocoa powder from the middle shelf. The one on the top is expired." Bokuto's eyes widen.
"Are you guys talking about the cookies Bokuto-san gave me?" you ask, although you are afraid to know the truth. To your dismay, they both looked at you before nodding.
You are not sure if it's the psychological effect of knowing that you ate a dozen of expired cookies that made your head feel light, or was it because you have thrown up three times. Your eyes begin to see scattered colorful dots. Afterwards, you can't feel your neck. Uou feel as if your head is a balloon floating above your shoulders. Cold beads of sweat form on your forehead, and you're walking towards Bokuto like a lifeless zombie.
"I-I can't feel anything." Your hand grips on Bokuto's shirt as your vision spins. Fortunately, the boy catches you before you finally succumb to unconsciousness.
The first thing you noticed when you woke up was the dangling crystals from the light in the living room. Your vision has finally come back to normal, but your body feels heavier. The sound of running water from the kitchen adjacent to the living room lets you know that you have finally gained consciousness. You looked down to your toes and noticed that you were lying on the couch covered in your brother's blanket.
“Brother?” You call, your voice strained. The sound of the running water stops after the squeaking sound from the faucet turning off resonated. A set of footsteps gets louder as the person in your kitchen walks to you. He peers down to you.
“Hey, are you feeling better?” You blink at the image of Bokuto standing next to you. Both his forearms down to his hands are drenched in water. When he reads your confused expression, he explains. “Your brother told me he will be home late, but I informed him about your health, and I asked if it’s okay to stay over at your place until he comes back. He said yes.”
You sit up, looking down on your thighs covered in a soft blanket as your hazy mind processes what he said. Bokuto speaks.
“Also, I took your brother’s blanket because I didn’t want to enter your room without your permission.”
So, that explains why you were tucked in your brother’s duvet. You look around because there were three of you in your apartment the last time you remember. Bokuto was quick to notice who you were looking for.
“Akaashi already went home. I carried you to the sofa after you passed out, and he helped me set the groceries I asked him to buy.” The groceries reminded you of the earlier event. A soft laugh escapes from your lips.
“The baby bottles.” You couldn’t stop yourself from bursting into laughs. You gaze at Bokuto through your lashes and you catch him studying your face as you laugh. He mirrors your smile.
“Sorry about that.” He scratches the back of his neck. When you are done laughing, he locks eyes with you. His golden orbs and cheeky smile let you know he had thought about something. “Do you want to eat? I have an unflavored biscuit in case savory or sweet make you feel sick.” Before you could answer, he was already on his feet, jogging back to the kitchen to grab the so-called biscuit. He comes back holding three packs of it before placing it on the coffee table in front of you. You flash him a grateful smile. You tap the space next to you on the couch. He takes the cue and sits next to you.
He has done so much for you despite knowing you for a short time. He was even willing to look after you, pregnant or not. It is nice having him here. With your parents always on a business trips and your brother as equally as busy as them, you are often left alone in this empty house, looking after yourself. It’s not that you complain about how your life came about but with him being here with you, it only reminds you of how reassuring it is to have someone by your side. He is your temporary companion, but you wished he would stay longer, not only for today but for the rest of your counting days. It must be nice to have him.
“Do you like romance movies?” he says out of nowhere, pulling you back to the present day. This is your reality for now. You can selfishly have him as yours, even if it’s just play-pretend.
“Not really.” You reply, watching his face shift as he thinks to himself. He sees you gazing at him in his peripheral vision, thus turning his head to face you.
“Then why did you agree with watching 50 First Dates the last time I went over?”
“Because you liked it. Your face lit up when I asked you about the gist of the movie. How can I say no to that?” You were surprised by how honest your words can be. The corner of his lips pulls up.
“How about we watch a movie, and you get to choose this time?” He suggests. His eyes blaze in excitement as he waits for you to agree.
“Okay.” You nod, and he wriggles his hips into the couch to sit comfortably.
“So, what are we watching?”
“The Conjuring.” He rapidly turns his body towards you. His mouth is open, and his eyes are quivering.
“You like horror?!” you chuckle at how frightened his face looks.
“Yes, and also crime movies. I like gore, death, blood, and all those stuff.” You watch the wrinkles on his face deepen. A rictus grin plays on his lips hence earning another laugh from you.
“You are so different from your brother.” He comments.
“He’s adopted.”
He pauses, eyes staring at you. Albeit, silence takes over.
“It was a joke.” You say, and an air rolls out of his mouth.
“I thought he was keeping important information from me.” You giggle, and he joins you.
Minutes later, after winning Bokuto on a debate whether to settle for horror or crime movie, you follow him through your eyes as he sets up the DVD of The Conjuring on the player. You fold your knees up on the couch, a habit of yours when watching a movie, as you wait for him to sit back next to you. Once he is back on the sofa, you hand him the other of the blanket so you two can share. He gladly takes and inches his way next to you. You are close enough to him to brush your arm against his when you move but far enough that your bodies do not touch. The movie starts playing, but he already has his hands covering his face as soon as the opening credits flash.
“You could have told me you can’t handle spooky stuff.”
“I can’t.” He admits. “Can we change it?”
“No. I only wanted to know if you can handle it or not, but I didn’t tell you I’m open to changing it.”
“Why are you like this?” Bokuto gasps, hence, making you laugh. Perhaps one of the reasons you want to keep watching the movie is that your mind is elsewhere. You are fancied by a different show unraveling before you. A roughly six feet tall man sitting next to you who can’t handle scary movies is much more entertaining. For every scream he makes from the jumpscare earns a hearty chuckle from you. You can't remember the last time you were so happy that every laugh coming from your mouth made you throw your head back and squint your eyes.
He is the story you want to know, the movie you want to spend your night watching, and probably the man you longed for.
“She is possessed!” Bokuto shouts, pointing at the screen of TV.
“Yep, she is.” Your voice came out cheery. Bokuto turns to you.
“And you’re enjoying this?!” He gapes at you in disbelief. You smile at him ear-to-ear.
“Yes, go watch it. Watch the person die. Look, she’s bleeding.” You point at the TV, but Bokuto presses his hands on his face, completely shutting his eyes.
As the movie plays, you rest the side of your head on the backrest of the couch, feeling the weight of your eyelids. You are starting to feel better physically. Maybe all the laughs you let out cured your sickness, or perhaps you simply needed someone to take care of you. A smile plants on your lips as the background noise from the TV fades out. Before drifting to sleep, the last thing you remember is the silhouette of a frightened man sitting next to you.
~~
You wake up, and different from earlier, a light from your lampshade on the desk next to your bed illuminates your room. You look down on your toes and see your blanket, then it occured to you that you are in your bed and tucked in your duvet. You turn to the lampshade and see a sticky note next to it. You take it and read the scribbled words written on it.
“I carried you to your room because posture on the couch is bad for your back.”
He must have left. You assume that Bokuto carried you to your room because if it was your brother, he wouldn’t make any effort to write you a tiny note. Your eyes traveled across the dimmed room and squinted at the clock that hung by the wall. It says 11:32 pm.
Suddenly, your bed shifts as the weight at the corner of it deepen. You blink your eyes and peer at the man sitting on the floor next to your bed. You push yourself up using your hand to make out the figure of the sleeping man next to you. His hair is a mix of silver and black streaks, and he’s wearing a volleyball jersey. His wild hair instantly tells you who the man is. You smile, knowing that your day with him has not ended yet. The greed in you grows as the urge to run your fingers through his hair builds up. Maybe a single stroke won’t wake him up, right? And so, you let the desire take over your body. Your hand lightly lays on top of his head, fingers burying between the strands of his hair. You run it from the roots to the tips. The boy remains unconscious, and so you take another dive.
“If you continue to treat me this way, I might end up falling for you.” Your voice is hushed, but it is loud enough to hear yourself speak. You scan his body. His folded arm on the corner of the bed serves as the pillow for his head. His back is curved down, and his legs are crossed. He was worried about your posture, and yet here he is. You intertwine your fingers in his hair one more time.
“My brother is against me having a boyfriend, but if it’s you, would he mind?” you continue rambling to yourself until the body of the man you’re caressing shifts. His head turns to you, traces of sleep evident on his face. His voice is lower than usual. You freeze at the sight of him looking at you. Your heart beats against your chest, and the colors on your face drain. He heard you, and yet he smiles at you, saying,
“Should we ask him?”
"If you think Daichi and Kita can stop those idiots, you are definitely 1) overestimating Daichi and Kita's skills and 2) underestimating Atsumu, Oikawa and Bokuto"- you laughing
The girls all giggle as a masterplan is being forged in another room
"We need to figure out a way in there"- Atsumu talking to Oikawa, Bokuto and Tendou
"Yeah but Kita is guarding the wing to the girls dorm and Daichi recruited Iwa, Akaashi , Kai and Semi to help. How are we getting through that?"- Oikawa
"We need a plan and I have just the idea- get Tanaka, Noya and Yamamoto to meet us outside"- Atsumu
Please these idiots really think they have something 🤣
Once the goons are gathered outside, Atsumu lays his plan out
"We climb the building and get into the room right next to the girls. There is a adjoining room right next door. Then we move in"- Atsumu
"That's a genius idea!"- Bokuto, stars in his eyes 🤩
"Wait 🤚🏻 what if we get caught? Shouldn't we have a lookout?"- Tendou
"I have an idea!"- Tanaka, taking off and emerging with Hinata in toe
"Hinata my man!"- Bokuto
"Ok ginger will be our look out"- Atsumu
"Lookout for what?"- Hinata, so confused
"Um- well we have to check out something on the roof so we need an observant person to watch out for anyone"- Tendou
"But why?"- Hinata, asking the hard questions
"Because- uh well we need to fix this and we don't want anyone to know what we are doing"- Yamamoto
"Watch out for what???"- Hinata 😃 our bby boi
Please could you have picked anyone worse
"Ok if someone comes out that door right there just tell us ok?"- Atsumu
"What should I say?"- Hinata, clueless
"Yeah but how?"- Hinata 😃
Please 🤣🤣🤣 this plan is already going great
"Just whistle really loud and we will take it from there"- Atsumu
Hinata 👉🏻😃 👍🏻
Suna and Kunimi come from inside and see Hinata just standing there 🧍‍♂️
"Hinata what are you doing?"- Suna
"Acting casual, why?"- Hinata, always playing it cool
Suna looks over the see Atsumu, Tendou, Bokuto, Oikawa, Noya, Tanaka and Yamamoto climbing up to the girls dorm
Suna hits Kunimi and points
"Oh god this is going to be good! I got the front you get the side"- Kunimi running as Suna goes to the side 📱
Lucky for them, they came just in time for the main event 🥰
"Hinata, what are you doing out here?"- Daichi barks with Iwa, Ushijima, Kita and Kuroo on his heels
Hinata 👉🏻👁👄👁 ahhh, I ahhhh
Oh god this is getting out of control
Kunimi is trying to hold his camera steady but the laughter is just too much
Akaashi comes out with Michinari, Omimi, Washio and Konoha
Hinata is majorly sweating now
Please the idiots climbing the building have absolutely no clue this is happening
Hinata panics and screams
"WHISTLE WHISTLE"- Hinata
"Did you just scream "whistle"?"- Akaashi
"Ahhh no, this is all an illusion"- Hinata, waving his arms
Please the idiots who are climbing to the roof have made it there
Atsumu and Oikawa somehow still think this is the best plan ever
"On second thought, maybe this isn't the best idea ever"- Tendou
Atsumu waves his hand and walks up to the window to see the managers sitting around and laughing
"Nope, still best idea ever"- Oikawa looking besides Atsumu
Back on the ground
"Hinata, what in the hell is going on?"- Daichi, now furious
Osamu and Ginjima come out with Sarukui, Komi, Yahaba, Watari and Kyotani
"Hey were is Atsumu?"- Osamu
Before anyone can answer Kindaichi comes running out
"Hey has anyone seen Oikawa? He said he was going to help me with spikes tonight"- Kindaichi
Everyone looks at Hinata who is majorly sweating
Back above ground, Bokuto is getting impatient
"Hey move Tsumu, I want to see"- Bokuto our resident toddler
"Hey stop pushing"- Oikawa
Inside you hear a rattling noise
"Shh girls, did you hear that?"- you, putting your hand up
You turn around to see the faces of Oikawa, Atsumu and Bokuto in your window
Of course, you all scream
Back on the ground 🙌🏻
"What the hell?"- Iwaizumi hearing you scream as he takes off up to your dorm room
Kita, Suga, Aran, Akaashi and Kuroo all follow
Hinata is just standing there like 😗 🧍‍♂️ 😅
"Hinata what the hell is going on?"- Daichi, now flipping angry
"Why is Atsumu, Bokuto, Oikawa and the others on the roof?"- Osamu, standing by Suna who is in his element
"What the hell!"- Daichi taking off and looking up to see Bokuto, Atsumu and Oikawa all staring back
Upstairs, Iwaizumi bursts through the girls door to see the offenders outside
"You have got to be kidding me"- Akaashi 🤦
Iwaizumi flings the window open and screams
"SHITTYKAWA GET YOUR ASS IN HERE RIGHT NOW"- Iwaizumi, flipping mad
"Are you girls ok?"- Kita, our lord and savior
"Yeah it just scared us that's all"- Yachi
Iwaizumi drags Oikawa followed by Atsumu, Bokuto, Yamamoto, Noya, Tendou and Tanaka into your dorm room
It’s strange how you learn so many things at such a young age. How you go about your everyday life seeing new things and learning new things about the world around you. At least that’s what AKAASHI KEIJI likes to believe. He tends to observe the world around him, learning new things about the people around him. He often picks up on people’s behaviors and how they like to portray themselves to the world.
“Halley’s Comet-” He slightly jumps in his seat, watching his science teacher pull up a photo of said comet on the projector. “-Discovered in 1708 by English astronomer, Edmond Halley. It’s a comet that orbits the earth every 75 years. It’s the only comet that is visible to the naked eye when it passes by. Some people tend to see it at least twice in their life and other times, they just see it once in their life.” His teacher says. Akaashi lays his head against the palm of his hand, the tiredness beginning to take over. From the corner of his eye, he sees a student raise their hand, to which the teacher acknowledges them.
“Why are we learning about Halley’s Comet? Isn’t that something that people in the states or in Europe learn?” The girl asked, making the teacher shake his head.
“It’s something that everyone learns about, so the day that you guys see the comet, you’ll be able to identify that it’s Halley’s Comet.” He says, continuing to proceed with the lesson.
This was something that sparked an interest in Akaashi’s mind. A comet that orbits the Earth every 75 years, being the most visible to the naked eye. A comet that most individuals see at least once in their lifetime. He took that information and applied it to his everyday life. You tend to meet people that are meant to stay in your life at least once in your life. In friendships, he claimed that Bokuto Kōtarō was a friend that he was supposed to meet once in his life. His family is one that he was grateful to have.
“You know Hina from Class 2-3?” Akaashi overhears Bokuto asking from across the locker room, making him hum in response as he changes into his practice uniform. “She thinks you’re cute.” Akaashi stops for a bit to let what Bokuto said process. He continues going back to putting his uniform on, ignoring what Bokuto just told him.
“Oi-” He looks to the side to see Bokuto standing a few feet away from him. “Didn’t you hear me? Hina? Captain of the girl’s volleyball team?”
“No, I heard you.” Akaashi looks back into his locker, taking his volleyball shoes out.
“So what do you think? Hina’s cute, really smart and really kind! Plus she’s a setter for the team too! You should give it a shot!” Bokuto exclaims, making Akaashi sigh.
“Not interested.” Akaashi bluntly says, making Bokuto screech in shock. He stares at Akaashi as if he was crazy.
“WHAT? HOW CAN YOU- WHAT? AKAASHI!” Bokuto exclaims as Akaashi continues tying his shoes. “AKAASHI, SHE’S THE PERFECT MATCH FOR YOU! THE GIRL THAT EVERYONE WANTS, WANTS YOU! HOW CAN YOU NOT TAKE UP THE CHANCE TO BE WITH HER?!” Akaashi would be lying if he said he didn’t think the same way about the girl Bokuto brought up. But he just wasn’t interested in her. No girl at Fukurodani caught his eye.
Once practice was over, Akaashi immediately made his way back home. Throughout practice, Bokuto kept calling him crazy for not wanting to get with the girl everyone’s been wanting. It got to the point that the entire team was looking at him crazy. “Ugh, maybe I’ll try to talk to her tomorrow…” Akaashi thinks to himself as he waits for his bus. He looks up to the sky, remembering back to what his teacher said.
“Halley’s Comet…” He says to himself as his bus approaches. Crazy to think that such a small comet causes a big excitement for everyone every 75 years. As he sits in the back of the bus, listening to music on his earphones, he observes everyone on the bus. A majority of the passengers on the bus happened to be students from Fukurodani who often stayed behind for school activities or students from other high schools around the area. Others are people going back home from either the store or work. He watches everyone until a certain passenger catches his eye.
It was a girl. She seemed to be around his age. She must’ve been from another high school, considering that her uniform was far more different that the uniform at his school. She sat a couple of seats away from him on the opposite side, so he got a good look at how she looked. She was beautiful. She had (h/c) hair and (e/c) eyes. Although Akaashi knew it was rude to stare at her, he couldn’t take his eyes off of her. She had her earphones on as she stared out the window.
“She’s probably thinking about the world around her as well…” Akaashi thought to himself as he turns his attention towards the window. That’s something he tends to think about each time he is out in public. The fact that the people around him have their lives that others may never know about is just mind blowing to him. He turns back towards the direction of the girl, watching her stand up as her stop approaches.
She must’ve sensed Akaashi staring at her because as she held onto the pole to keep her balance, she turned towards Akaashi’s direction. He felt a warmth begin to surface on his face, watching as a red tint begins to appear on her face. Immediately, they both turned the other direction.
As the bus comes to a stop, he turns back towards the direction of the girl, seeing that she was already staring at him. She sends him a small smile and waves as she exits the bus. He smiles back, sending a small wave back. When the bus begins leaving again, he looks back at her again, their eyes meeting once again. It felt as though the world became quiet. Everyone’s movement began slowing down. At that moment, it was just them two in the world.
‘You get to meet certain people in your life that will last a lifetime…’ He rethinks back to those words he read in a book once. It was an unusual moment and he didn’t understand why he felt this way when he made eye contact with a stranger. Someone that he didn’t know what she went through in her everyday life. Was she feeling the same way? Was she thinking the same thing? Is she thinking that maybe this was a moment that she’d get to experience once in her lifetime?
That was the last time he saw her again. There wasn’t a day that went by where he didn’t think of her. Why did this stranger that he made little eye contact with on the bus become the thought that wouldn’t leave him alone? He went weeks going to the bus stop at the same time that he did that day. Some days he would go earlier and other days he would go much later than his usual time. He had hoped to see her again. He hoped that maybe he would build up the courage to talk to her. But after a few weeks when he noticed that she wasn’t on the bus whenever he entered, he stopped trying.
Until the last days of his high school years, he would think back to her. Even if it was a small interaction between the two of them, it still replayed in his mind. There would be times where he was out in public and he thought he would see her. Over time, he did his best to forget the interaction, and in the end he did.
“Are you sure about staying here alone half of the time, Akaashi?” He overhears Bokuto ask him as he places a box inside the semi empty bedroom. Akaashi hums in agreement, turning back to see him bringing in his suitcases.
“Thank you for letting me stay here until I save up for my own apartment.” He quietly says, making Bokuto smile a bit.
“Stay here as long as you want, Akaashi! It’s closer to your college!” Akaashi just nods, walking past him into the hallway. “I’ll be back. I have one more box in my car.” Akaashi says as he exits the apartment. The streets of Tokyo were busy this time of year. He watches as groups of students walk past him, entering the apartment complex. It was his first year of college and Bokuto was kind enough to offer him a place to stay since he didn’t want Akaashi to be traveling an hour to campus.
As he takes the final box out of his car and makes his way back up to the apartment, he bumps into someone. He hears a thud beside him, making him panic and turn around immediately.
“I am so sorry!” He exclaims, putting the box down. His eyes widen as he sees that it’s the girl that he saw on the bus. She looked the same as she did back then, just a bit older. She looked up at him, making Akaashi’s heart race. She had such a warm and welcoming look in her eye, it made Akaashi feel safe.
“Ahh… It’s fine… I wasn’t watching where I was going…” Her voice was soft, seeing a small smile appearing on her face. She was rubbing on her head, embarrassed to have bumped into the stranger when she was in a rush to leave. He helps her up and watches as she dusts off her clothes and the apron that was in her hand.
“I’m sorry, I’m just running a bit late for work.” She explains herself as she adjusts her small backpack on her shoulder.
“Must be holding her work shoes.” Akaashi thinks to himself as he studies her. She was in a white collared shirt with black pants and a white apron that was nearly folded on her arm. She had her hair tied back in a ponytail, framing her face. She looks back up to Akaashi, the smile still plastered on her face.
“It’s fine! Are you okay?” He says, making her nod. In all honesty, Akaashi probably looked weird when he realized who she was. His mouth hung open as he tried to process everything. The girl that he saw on the bus back in high school was suddenly standing in front of him.
“AH!” He snaps back to reality, turning to her immediately. He noticed that her eyes were widened as she looked down at her watch, immediately taking off. “I HAVE TO GO! IT WAS NICE MEETING YOU!” She screams out, running towards the opposite direction. He smiles a bit, picking his box up.
“Are you okay, Akaashi?” Bokuto asks once he steps back into the apartment. He hums in response, making his way into the bedroom.
He never knew this day would come. The girl that he had been thinking about since high school was right in front of him that day. He saw her. She was much more beautiful up close. She had the warmest smile on her face that could outshine a billion stars in the sky. Her presence felt like arriving home on a snowy day and feeling welcomed by everyone.
“I doubt I’ll see her again…” Akaashi says to himself as he places the box on the empty bed.
At least that’s what Akaashi thought.
“Is this seat taken?” He overhears the same soft voice next to him, making him look up from his book. It was her. She was in his literature class, looking down on him. His mouth hung open, trying to compose a sentence.
‘GET IT TOGETHER, KEIJI!’ He notices an embarrassed look appear on her face, realizing that he never responded back to her. He was just looking at her like an idiot with his mouth open.
“If it’s saved for someone, I can just-”
“NO!” He loudly says, causing him to cover his mouth. He turned to look around the lecture room, watching as everyone took slight glances at him. He turns back back at her, catching her slightly confused expression. He cleared his throat a bit, shaking his head a bit.
“No, it’s not taken…” He shyly says, avoiding eye contact with her. She smiles a bit, putting her stuff down besides him. He goes back to his book, trying his best to compose himself. She was next to him. At a very close proximity to him. He realized that he was rereading the same sentence in his book, causing him to close it.
‘God, Keiji… You’re so lame… She’s just a girl, get it together…’ He thinks to himself, sighing as he rests his forehead in the palm of his hands.
“You’re nervous, too?” He hears her ask, turning towards her. He watches as her eyes scan the classroom. “It’s a really big classroom…” She comments, observing every person that sat around them. She turns to him, eyes widening a bit. “Oh my- I interrupted your reading didn’t I?” She covers her red face behind her hands, turning away. “I’m so sorry!” She whispers, making a small smile perk at the corner of Akaashi’s lips.
“It’s okay!” He reassured her, watching as she peeks her eyes through her fingers. “Are you sure? I tend to talk a lot when people clearly don’t want to be interrupted…” She says, removing her hands from her face. He simply nods, sending her a reassuring smile.
“I’m L/n Y/n, by the way.” She finally introduces herself, bringing her hand out. He gently takes her hand in his, slightly shaking it. “Akaashi Keiji.”
All it took was a simple introduction for their worlds to shift. A simple little moment, a simple hand shake. A simple interaction that happened that chilly fall morning. In the first few weeks, Akaashi built up the courage to ask her to hang out outside of class. He was always very shy when it came to talking to her. Throughout the semester, the two became close to one another. He had found out how many things they both had in common. From music taste, to books, to favorite television shows and movies.
There would be times where she would be at his and Bokuto’s apartment to do homework and Akaashi would catch himself looking at her more often than usual. He would study her face, recognizing every facial expression she would make. He would see how her lips would part as she was concentrating on something. The way she would bite the top of her pen whenever she was stuck on a certain problem she didn’t understand. The way she furrowed her eyebrows when frustration would start kicking in. Akaashi didn’t like this new feeling that was slowly growing in his chest whenever he was around her, but it always made him want to stay close to her. The more he was in her presence, the more he felt like he belonged by her side.
As winter began rolling around, his feelings began growing. It came to the point where he would have to compose himself whenever he was around her. He would easily get flustered whenever he made eye contact with her.
“Hey, Akaashi-san-” He heard her speak, making him hum in response. They were currently sitting on her couch, watching a television show together. He had noticed that there was something on her mind. He knew her well enough to know when there was something bothering her. She was fidgeting in her seat, showing signs of nervousness in her body language. He pauses the show, turning her direction.
“-By any chance, do you like anyone?” She quietly asks, playing with her hands. The small moments of silence were suddenly broken by Akaashi coughing as he choked on his saliva. He was caught off guard, inhaling a deep breath as he let her question process. Like anyone? How could he possibly answer that without exposing himself so quickly.
“What a random question, L/n-san!” He tried his best to divert the conversation, avoiding the question. As he tries his best to clear his throat, he sees Y/n’s expression fall, not knowing what was on her mind.
“Yeah, it really is-” She laughed awkwardly, looking away from him. “-It was a dumb question…” She quietly said.
“But to answer your question, I don’t-” He lied, but obviously she wouldn’t be able to tell, at least that’s what he thought. “-Why do you ask?” His curiosity was starting to poke at his mind, wanting to know more. He sees her turn back to him, noticing how she was forcing a smile.
“Just wondering…” She averted her attention to her watch, making her sigh. “It’s getting late, Akaashi-san. I should start heading to bed.” Akaashi looked at his watch, noticing the time. It was 9:23 PM and she usually didn’t go to sleep until close to midnight. He watches as she stands up from the couch, walking towards her hallway.
“L/n-san-” He calls out, making her stop in her tracks. “-It’s still a little early… Do you want to watch another episode?” She turned around to look at him, slowly shaking her head.
“Maybe another day, Akaashi-san. I have work in the morning.”
“Oh… Okay, then. How about tomorrow after you get off of work?”
“I’ll just text you, okay?” She was being dismissive, trying her best not to look Akaashi in the eyes. Akaashi just nods, turning off the television.
“You can just leave the dishes there, I’ll pick them up.” She says, trying her best to get Akaashi out of her apartment. Akaashi ended up picking up on her behavior change, accepting that she wanted to be left alone. He just gave her a soft smile, “Text me if you need anything, okay L/n-san?” to which she just responded with a nod.
As the days continued to pass, the distance between Akaashi and Y/n was slowly becoming bigger. On the days that he would usually go over, she would tell him that she picked up an extra shift. Whenever he would invite her over to his and Bokuto’s apartment, she would kindly reject the offer by saying that she needed to catch up on her homework. Although Akaashi understood that being a college student and working at a full-time job had its hard moments of balancing them out, part of him felt selfish for wanting to have Y/n to himself. He wanted to see her and be in her presence.
It was starting to become unbearable. He wanted to see her. With their final term coming to its completion in a few weeks, who knows when it will be the next time he gets to spend time with her.
“You really didn’t think this through, Keiji…” He thinks to himself as he stands in front of the familiar apartment door. It was a compulsive decision that was fueled by eagerness. He didn’t seem to understand why he was so scared. Why was he afraid to talk to her? He’s spoken to her before, but why was heart beating so loudly? His breathing was becoming heavier by the moment. He had to do it. He had to see her.
He hesitated a bit, trying his best to think about what to say to her. Without a second thought, he begins knocking on her door, immediately regretting the decision.
“Oh my gosh, what did I just do!” Panic begins to set in, the thought of running away becoming a better solution. He was regretting every single decision, every single action that he made. He turns around, squeezing his eyes shut as he tries his best to think of a plan.
“Maybe she’s not home? Maybe she’s asleep? Maybe she’s in the bathroom? Or maybe she’s doing homework with her headphones on and she can’t-”
“Akaashi-san?” His thoughts are cut off when he hears the familiar soft voice, causing a gasp to escape. He quickly turns around, coming in contact with the woman that has been driving him crazy the past few days. She was rubbing her eyes, the tiredness being evident in her entire body language.
“Oh, did I wake you?” He asks, making her shake her head.
“No, I’ve been catching up with homework.” She softly laughs, holding onto her door. “Is there anything you need?” She asks, making Akaashi gulp.
“I just-” Akaashi knew he had to be honest. He had been talking to Bokuto about the whole situation, and to Bokuto’s knowledge, Akaashi’s ‘in love’. He also told him to stop being an idiot and just be honest with Y/n, even if it scared him.
“-I just wanted to see you…” He mumbles, making her eyes widen.
“Oh.” Was all she was able to let out. She had been awake for the past 36 hours so she’s not sure if her brain is starting to make her hallucinate due to the lack of sleep, or if her crush just told her that he wanted to see her. She watches as he chews on his lip, awkwardly standing outside her apartment.
“Do you want to come in?” She awkwardly asks, making him nod quickly. She widens the door, allowing him to enter her apartment. The moment that Akaashi enters, he’s met with many papers scattered around the coffee table as well as various open textbooks and loose pens and highlighters. “If I would’ve known you were coming, I would’ve cleaned up a bit…” She said in an embarrassed tone, making Akaashi shake his head.
“No, I apologize for showing up unannounced.” He mumbles as he takes off his shoes. He watches as she begins picking her items up, organizing them on top of her coffee table.
“How have you been?” He asks, walking over to her. She hums in response, trying her best to keep herself awake as the tiredness was slowly beginning to take over.
“I’ve been keeping myself busy. You know, trying to balance work and school…” She quietly says, sitting against her couch. Akaashi had noticed the prominent dark circles that were beginning to appear against her skin.
“Have you been getting sleep?” He asks, sitting beside her. She slowly shakes her head, Akaashi watching as she tries her best to keep her eyes open. “I’ve been busy with school and extra shifts that I-” She yawns for a bit, looking at him “-I forget to sleep…” She mumbles.
“L/n-san, when was the last time you slept?” He asks, noticing that she was slowly falling asleep.
“Hm?” She asked, instantly waking up. “Ah, I have a project to finish!” Akaashi watches as she quickly stands up, almost stumbling.
“L/n-san!” Akaashi exclaims, quickly standing up and grabbing ahold of her. “L/n-san, you need to rest.”
“Akaashi-san, I have my project to do.”
“You can do it in the morning. Let’s get you to bed.” She shakes her head, slowly pushing him off.
“It’s okay, I’ll just drink another coffee…” She mumbles, walking over to her kitchen. “Sleep can wait, but my project can’t…” Akaashi could notice the sleep deprivation taking a toll on her. She was doing her best to act like she was okay, but he knew that she wasn’t. She was tired, but it also seemed like she had something on her mind that she wanted to forget about.
“L/n-san.” He calls out to her, hearing her hum in response once again. She was beginning to only be able to let out small noises as her responses, which worried Akaashi.
“Come on, let’s get you to bed. You can take a small nap…” He pleaded, slowly taking her arm in his hand. She shook her head, trying to remove herself from his grip.
“I’m fine, Akaashi-san.” It left him no choice but immediately apologize for his next action.
“I’m sorry for what I’m about to do, L/n-san.” Y/n gives him a confused look, gasping loudly when she felt herself being lifted off the floor. Usually she would fight back, but her body was physically exhausted from doing anything. She felt her body become limp, allowing Akaashi to carry her.
“You’ll get sick if you continue like this, L/n-san…” He began to lecture, noticing Y/n slowly drifting off to sleep. As he pulls her cover on her body, he begins to hear Y/n mumble in her sleep.
“Akaashi-san… Don’t… leave…” She mumbles, immediately fixing her position as she drifts off into a deep sleep. Akaashi felt his heart skip a beat, a small smile poking at the corner of his lips. He pushes a stray hair out of her face, examining her sleep state. She looked peaceful and beautiful, almost like an angel.
Without a second thought, Akaashi pressed a small kiss on her forehead. Once it set in what he just did, he immediately regretted his compulsive decision.
“I can’t disrespect L/n-san like that! Keiji what were you thinking?!” He quietly walks out of her room, slowly closing the door behind him. He couldn’t help but think back to her sleeping state. She was beautiful, it made Akaashi’s heart beat faster. Maybe Bokuto was right. Maybe he was in love with Y/n without realizing it. Maybe his feelings have been there since the first time he laid his eyes on her back in high school, but he just didn’t acknowledge them. He feels his phone vibrate in his pocket, quickly retrieving it.
From: Bokuto Kōtarō Subject: None 29/11 20:34 Are you on your way back? Or are you going to stay with L/n-chan?
Akaashi reads Bokuto’s message, making him take a deep breath. He looks up from his phone, noticing part of Y/n’s homework still scattered around the living room. He looks back at his phone screen, immediately sending a message to Bokuto.
From: Akaashi Keiji Subject: None 29/11 20:37 Will be heading back in a few.
Akaashi did his best to organize Y/n’s homework and textbooks, not wanting her to wake up to the same mess from the night before. He wanted her to rest, even if it was for a few hours before returning to her homework. He left a note on top of her literature textbook, smiling a bit as he made his way back to his apartment.
L/n-san,
I hope the organization lifts a bit of weight off your shoulders. All your pens and highlighters are in the pencil bag that is located inside your bookbag. As for your homework, I put each assignment inside of the designated subject textbooks so it can be easier for you to find. You are working harder everyday, and I am proud of you. Please don’t neglect your rest for work and school. You need your rest as well! When you wake up, make sure to drink something warm just in case you wake up with a cold.
If you need anything, you can always message me or come visit anytime. You’re always welcomed into Bokuto-san and I’s home.
-Akaashi Keiji
The next morning, Akaashi woke up to a message from Y/n. As he sits up in his bed, he rereads her message over and over again.
From: L/n Y/n Subject: Sending my thanks 30/11 06:48 Hi, I just read the note you left on my textbook. Thank you for everything, I appreciate it so much. Sometimes I tend to neglect my sleep to get things done, but thank you for checking up on me. Is it possible I can come over today?
“Akaashi, how did it go last night?” He suddenly hears Bokuto say, causing him to jump. He looks at Bokuto with a startled look on his face, to which Bokuto gives a mischievous look that Akaashi didn’t like.
“It went well-” His voice cracked, making him immediately clear his throat.
“Oh, really?” Akaashi nods quickly, a satisfied look appearing on Bokuto’s face.
“I realized many things, Bokuto-san…” Akaashi quietly says.
“Did you finally realize that you were in love with L/n-chan, or what?” Bokuto sarcastically asks, to which he receives no response back. His face drops into a surprised one, quickly walking over to Akaashi.
“Really?!” Bokuto exclaims, watching Akaashi become flustered by the moment. “Oh, my gosh! Finally, I’ve been waiting for the moment that you guys finally confess to one another!” He sits on Akaashi’s bed, a bright expression radiating off of him.
“No! That’s not what we did!”
“HUH? YOU DIDN’T CONFESS TO HER?”
“No, Bokuto-san! I just realized my feelings for her, how can I confess to her? What if she doesn’t feel the same!” Bokuto gives him a confused look.
“Akaashi, you may be really smart, but you’re really dumb when it comes to women.” Bokuto bluntly says, Akaashi’s eyes widening in surprise. Usually, Bokuto was one to sugarcoat most things, but this definitely caught him off guard.
“What do you mean by that?” Bokuto rolls his eyes, fighting the urge to shake Akaashi and call him an oblivious bastard.
“Akaashi, if you’re not able to tell how OBVIOUS L/n-chan has been with expressing how she feels about you, then you’re dumb.” But Bokuto couldn’t necessarily blame him. Of course, some girls had their crushes on Akaashi back in high school, but Akaashi never paid attention to any of that. Akaashi was one to confuse their flirting with them being nice to him, even if the girls were making it obvious that they were hitting on him.
“It’s going to feel like I’m repeating myself, but I need this to get through your pretty little head, okay?” Akaashi nods. “Be honest with her. L/n-chan makes it very obvious how she feels about you, and everyone seems to notice it but you. I recommend just coming clean and confessing everything to her…” Akaashi gives him a bewildered look, shaking his head.
“Oh, you’re a lost cause!” Bokuto yells, immediately standing up. Before exiting Akaashi’s bedroom, he tells him, “You know, people get tired of waiting, Akaashi. I wouldn’t want to keep her waiting if I were you… Even though you don’t seem to notice, she's growing impatient, Akaashi.” and immediately walks out.
Bokuto’s words lingered in Akaashi’s mind for a few minutes, repeating his words to himself.
“Be honest with her… Don’t keep her waiting…” He mumbles to himself, laying down on his pillow. He grabs hold of his cellphone, scrolling through his messages until he comes across her message thread. He still hadn’t responded to her message, thinking about what he should say.
“Come on, Keiji. It’s just a simple yes or no question…” He stares at her message, biting the inside of his lip. “Fuck it.” He’s really letting Bokuto’s words fuel his decision, which he wasn’t very proud of.
From: Akaashi Keiji Subject: None 30/11 08:02 Hey, sorry for the late response. I’m glad you got your rest last night. You can come over today if you would like.  I’m going to be home all day either way.
Akaashi pressed send, making him take a deep breath. Today is the day that he confesses.
“Thank you for coming, L/n-san.” He quietly mumbles as he watches her remove her shoes.
“No, thank you for letting me come over, Akaashi-san.” She sends him a small smile as she enters the living room. “Where’s Bokuto-san?”
“He went to the little restaurant that’s a few minutes away from here. I told him that you were coming over, so he offered to buy take-out for the three of us.” In all honesty, Akaashi wished Bokuto didn’t purposely leave before Y/n had arrived. He ended up picking the restaurant that had the highest peak around the time that you would be arriving, and left the apartment with the biggest mischievous smile he has ever seen on Bokuto’s face. It left Akaashi with no other choice. He had to confess, whether Bokuto was helping him or not. His hands were shaking from nervousness, feeling his heart rate start rising.
“Akaashi-san-” He hears Y/n’s soft voice pull him out of his thoughts, blinking profusely at her. “-Are you okay?” He was able to point out the worried tone in her voice, making him gulp.
“Uh, water?” His voice had cracked out of the nervousness that was beginning to take over, quickly walking to the kitchen to hide the redness that was beginning to appear. He begins hearing Y/n’s soft footsteps follow behind him, making him stop at his tracks.
“Akaashi-san-” She begins, trying her best to conceal her nervousness through a facade. “-I just wanted to come over and talk to you about a few things…” Akaashi swallows the dryness in his throat, nodding a bit. He turns around to face her, noticing a red tint beginning to dust across her face. She was looking down at the floor, trying to remain as calm as possible.
“Let’s go talk in the living room.” He quietly says, making her nod quickly. As they sit on the couch, a heavy silence builds up between them. He watches as she begins to drag her hands against the fabric of her pants, taking in deep breaths in between. She was equally as nervous as he was, which gave him a bit of comfort knowing he wasn’t alone.
“So, I wanted to talk to you about a few things, but I just wanted to start off by apologizing to you…”
“For what, exactly?”
“For everything…” He gave her a confused look. “I’m sorry for being absent these past few weeks, distancing myself from you. It’s just-” She stops for a bit, bringing her hands into fists as she tries her best to compose herself.
“-I was a little hurt…”
“Did I do something wrong?” She shakes her head.
“No, it’s not what you did… It’s what you said…” She was scared to look him in the eye. She has been carrying around guilt for never telling Akaashi why she stopped being around him for a while. Of course she wanted to see him, but she couldn’t help but think that he would always see her as a friend.
Throughout the months she got to know him, she had fallen in love with him. The day that he said no to her question, she took it upon herself to distance herself to forget about her feelings for Akaashi. But that solution never helped. Instead, it made her miss him more. There were nights where she wanted to call him and hang up the moment she heard his voice. Everything about Akaashi felt like a new world, one that she never knew.
“What did I say? Did I disrespect you?” Y/n began hearing the panic in his voice, making her look up immediately. “No!” She loudly said, making her gasp a bit.
“No, it’s not that…” Akaashi was worried, yet relieved, but noticed how she was hesitating to tell him. “Hearing myself replay it in my mind makes me realize how stupid my reason was to do what I did… I just don’t want you to hate me or to stop talking to me!” Akaashi placed his hand on top of hers, realizing that her hand was shaking as well as his.
“I’m not going to judge you.” He reassures, giving her a small smile. “You can tell me anything…” She looks down at her hands once again.
“I want to apologize for being selfish and only thinking about myself. I didn’t take into consideration that you must’ve been questioning why I stopped being around you or if you did anything wrong. The truth is, the day that you told me that you didn’t like anyone, I took it upon myself to put a distance between us. I began picking up shifts and drowning myself in homework because I wanted to run away from the thing that scared me the most–” She takes a deep breath.
“-I wanted to run away from the fact that I was slowly falling in love with you…” She mumbles, making Akaashi gasp a bit. “I didn’t want to believe it at first, but when I talked to Bokuto-san a couple of weeks after we last hung out, I ended up accepting the fact that I was falling in love with you. Bokuto-san made me realize just how special you are and how I shouldn’t be afraid to fall in love with you.” She looks back at him, seeing the redness begin to dust against his face.
“And I want to apologize for not making it clear that day. In all honesty, I was hoping that you would’ve told me that you did like someone and that someone was me. I had my hopes that we would get together because we have a connection that’s so beautiful. And the moment that you told me you didn’t, I just felt like my whole world came crashing. But a few weeks later, I accepted the fact that you might not like anyone, and that’s okay. And even though I continue to love you from a distance, I just think it’s better for me to get it off my chest…” She exhales a bit, feeling a huge weight come off her shoulders.
She was relieved she was finally able to tell him. She didn’t want to make the first move, or be the one in the position of confessing, but thought it was better for her peace of mind to confess to Akaashi. She watched as Akaashi slowly processed her apologies, her confession, as well as her last line.
“Even though I continue to love you from a distance…” Was the line that stuck out the most. Was Bokuto right all along? Was she making it obvious the entire time and Akaashi took it as her being friendly?
“You don’t have to say anything, Akaashi-san. I just wanted you to know how I’ve been feeling for these past few months, as well as apologize and clarify any negative thoughts you had for the past few weeks.” He hears her say, making him bite the inside of his cheek. A very deafening silence sat upon them, it felt almost suffocating. The only thing on both of their minds was, “Where was Bokuto-san to help ease the tension?”
But to Akaashi’s knowledge, Bokuto couldn’t be the one guiding them into confessing their feelings. He understood that they were grown adults who had to communicate with each other, but why was it hard? He received a clear confession from the girl he was in love with, but why was he afraid to tell her? He began thinking that maybe Y/n put him on a high pedestal and was afraid of the moment she would get tired of him. The thought that continuously crossed his mind was, “What if she leaves me for someone better?”
What if he wasn’t what she expected him to be? What if she’s disappointed at the fact that he’s not an amazing guy? What if she fell in love with an Akaashi that he had no idea existed?
“Akaashi-san-” She snaps him out of his thoughts, turning immediately to her. He could see the sadness in her eyes. He knew she was trying to hide it behind her small smile, one that he knew she gave everyone to make it seem like she was okay. In reality, everything hid behind her eyes. No one noticed how much sadness she expresses through her eyes because she’s always smiling. That’s what he admired most about her, and he wishes he was able to do the same as well.
“I’m sorry, I got lost in my thoughts… But I just wanted to say thank you for being honest with me. I really appreciate it.” He hadn’t noticed he had been holding his breath in for so long until he sighed. He needed to do this. It didn’t matter how long it would take him to explain it, he needed her to know how he’s felt for the past few years.
“Now there’s a few things I need to tell you, but I’m going to need you to bear with me because I’m not really good with words when it comes to these types of things…” He raises his eyebrows, trying to compose how he was going to tell her that she’s been on his mind since the moment he saw her on the bus in high school. He knew it would probably creep her out, but at that point he didn’t care.
“So, when I was in my second-year of high school, I remember my science teacher talking to us about this comet that everyone sees at least twice in their life. That comet being, Halley’s Comet-” She slowly nods, becoming confused on where the conversation was going.
“-So, when he gave us all the information about Halley’s Comet, I applied it into my everyday life. I saw it as people being able to experience beautiful things at least once in their life. I remember thinking about the comet on the way home from volleyball practice, being curious about those around me, telling myself that I have a lifetime friend and a lifetime family. The only thing that I was missing was a lifetime partner. Love didn’t really interest me around that time, so when I got on the bus, I looked at everyone. No one seemed to catch my eye until I saw this girl on the bus. She was looking out the window with her earphones on. When she was getting off the bus, we made eye contact and it felt like the world had stopped around us. I didn’t know who she was nor did I know her name, but she was on my mind for several weeks after that. It got to the point where I would go to the bus either at the same exact time, a bit earlier, or a bit later. I just wanted to see this girl. After a few months of noticing that she no longer rode the bus back home, I tried my best to let it go-”
“Akaashi-san, forgive me for interrupting, but where is this going?” He gave her a small smile.
“-You’ll see when I get to this part, L/n-san.” He readjusted himself, looking directly at her. She was still as beautiful as she was in high school.
“A few months after high school, I had moved in with Bokuto-san since he refused to let me travel an hour to go to campus. By this time, I was slowly beginning to forget everything about that mystery girl. We only had one interaction, so who am I to keep holding onto that? I always thought that maybe she was just a beautiful experience I got to witness. So when I was coming back upstairs to the apartment, I accidentally bumped into someone who was in a rush to leave and they had fallen. When I was helping this person out, it ended up being the girl I saw on the bus that day in high school…” Y/n watches as a small blush begins to dust his features, letting everything sink in. She just slowly nodded, the realization slowly starting to appear.
“You want to know who that person was, L/n-san?” Akaashi asked, making her shrug.
“It was you. You are the girl that stood out in that entire bus full of high school students…” He softly says, making her eyes widen a bit. “The woman who has never left my mind since I was 17 years old… I will admit, the moment I knew it was you, I didn’t know how to act…”
“Yeah, I remember you standing over me with your mouth wide open. I remember thinking to myself, ‘why is this guy looking at me like that?’” She let out a small laugh.
“So what I’m trying to say is, I feel the same way, L/n-san. From the moment I met you, I knew that this was a beautiful experience that was going to fulfill me for the rest of my life. From that chilly afternoon on the bus to this very moment, I knew I was in love with you. I’m in love with the way you carry yourself. I’m in love with the nurturing spirit you have. You emit this beautiful light that is so bright, it makes you not want to take your eyes off of it-” Y/n’s eyes started building up with tears as she continued to hear Akaashi speak.
“-I’m in love with every part of you, both the good and the bad. I love you on your good days and love you even more on your bad days. I love the ridiculous humor you have that makes you laugh. I love seeing your smile and hearing you talk. I love seeing you get happy when you accomplish things that mean a lot to you. I am in love with all of you, L/n Y/n. You are the woman I want to be able to spend the rest of my life with.” He finally let it out. To be honest, he was running on the adrenaline that pushed him into confessing to her. He had many regrets in his life, but he made sure to not let this be another regret added to the list.
Y/n tried to contain her tears. She was happy. The man she fell in love with a few months behind is now confessing the love he’s had for the past few years. It was crazy to think that throughout high school, she always felt like she didn’t catch anyone’s attention. She always hid within the crowd, minding her own business. She always felt invisible, in hopes that maybe she would be seen. The moment that Akaashi mentioned how she stood out in a crowd full of high schoolers, she felt happy. She finally felt seen.
“L/n-san-” She makes eye contact with Akaashi, their redness becoming more prominent on each of their faces. “-Will you be my girlfriend?” He quietly asked, making her gasp really loudly. He is then met with a huge embrace, relentlessly hearing ‘yes’ being screamed in his ear. He finally got the girl. As they pulled away from their embrace, their faces were inches away from one another. The light grew bigger in each other’s eyes, indicating the love that was beginning to flourish between the both of them. Y/n noticed Akaashi’s face becoming closer, making her heart pound against her chest.
“I’M BACK!” They push each other, sitting on opposite ends of the couch as Bokuto abruptly enters the apartment. He shifts his attention between the two of them, an eyebrow raising in confusion. “Are you guys okay? You both look like you’ve seen a ghost…” Bokuto mumbles, hanging his coat up.
“We’re f-fine, Bokuto-san!” Akaashi’s voice cracks, hearing Y/n do her best to contain her laugh.
“Okay…” Bokuto said in a confused and awkward tone as he entered the apartment. “Anyways, before this tension chokes me to death-” He pulls up the bag to their view, a huge smile appearing on his face. “-I got us some take out!” He excitedly says, walking over to them. As he sits on the floor in between them, placing the food on the table, he turns to them.
“Damn, you guys didn’t even turn the television on? It’s so quiet here…” He grabs the remote that was next to Akaashi, turning back immediately and turning the television on. “So are you guys going to eat with me, or am I going to eat alone?” Bokuto asks as he brings out the food from the bag.
“Oh, sorry Bokuto-san…” Y/n mumbles as she sits besides Bokuto. Akaashi does the same as well, becoming even more shy as the moments pass. He couldn’t believe it. Just moments ago, he finally got to confess to the girl that would never leave his mind back in high school. The girl that he ran into when he was moving into the apartment. The same girl that sat besides him in their literature class on the first day of college. He thought back to the quote he read back in high school and a small smile broke his stoic expression. She was really the woman that he was meant to love for the rest of his life… He watches as Bokuto turns to him, handing him his food.
“They didn’t have the pork curry you like, so I had to get you chicken.”
“That’s fine, thank you Bokuto-san.”
As they quietly ate their food, the television being the only background noise, Bokuto noticed both Akaashi and Y/n stealing glances. The tension was starting to feel very heavy, it started making Bokuto uncomfortable. He lowly grunts as he places his food down.
“Alright!” Bokuto exclaimed, turning off the television and standing up. Akaashi and Y/n stared at him with a concerned look on their face, wondering why he had gotten up so abruptly. “This tension that you two have is starting to REALLY suffocate me and it’s not letting me enjoy my food in peace. We need to address the elephant in the room.” Akaashi looked at him confused, not sure as to why Bokuto is reacting the way he is.
“Is everything okay, Bokuto-san?” Y/n says, making him roll his eyes in annoyance.
“NO! I AM ANNOYED THAT YOU TWO HAVE THIS WEIRD TENSION GOING ON AND WON’T ADMIT THAT YOU HAVE FEELINGS FOR EACH OTHER! IT’S STARTING TO BUG ME BECAUSE I’VE TALKED TO BOTH OF YOU AND NO PROGRESS HAS BEEN-”
“Bokuto-san…”
“WHAT AKAASHI?!” Bokuto exclaimed as Akaashi gave him a deadpan expression. Bokuto’s annoyed expression suddenly disappears once he realizes that Y/n was laughing a bit.
“Why are you laughing, L/n-chan?” He questions, making her shake her head.
“Bokuto-san, we’re together already…” Akaashi bluntly says, a confused expression appearing on his face.
“HUH? SINCE WHEN?” Bokuto says loudly as Akaashi gestures him to quiet down.
“About 20 minutes ago before you came in, Bokuto-san.” Y/n softly says, as she takes Akaashi’s hand in hers. “I just thought it was funny that you were lecturing us like we were grade school children.” She laughs a bit, turning to Akaashi.
Akaashi’s eyes were already on her, admiring every inch of her. He still couldn’t believe it. The love that was growing within Akaashi Keiji felt like the warm sun on a snowy day. His love felt like the first day of spring, where the fields of flowers glisten so beautifully. It felt like comfort and it felt like home. Akaashi Keiji felt like home…
“You know, I really liked your Halley’s Comet analogy, Akaashi-san.” He hears her say as he walks her to her apartment. He blushes a bit, pushing his hands deeper into his pockets as he looks at the floor. “Kind of relates to our situation, you know.” She quietly says, stopping at the entrance of her apartment.
“You don’t say.” Akaashi smiles a bit, looking back at her as he stops at her tracks.
“It’s funny, really-” She turns to face him. “-how in high school I wanted to be seen, but instead I hid within the crowd… Never thought that the person who noticed me would be the person I ended up getting into a relationship with.” They stood in a comfortable silence, before Y/n said, “Okay, Akaashi-san! I’ll see you in class, okay!” She is then pulled towards Akaashi’s body, feeling his arms wrap around her.
She was honestly shocked, and he was as well. Akaashi was the type to never be so blunt when it came to showing his affection, but something told him to do so. She melted into Akaashi’s embrace, letting out a deep breath as she wrapped her arms around his torso. Akaashi kissed her temple, pulling away and making eye contact with her.
“You have always been seen by others, L/n-san-” He brings his hands to her face, his thumb caressing her cheek. “-And you may not see it, but those around you do…” She smiled, giving Akaashi’s hand a small kiss. “Thank you, Akaashi-san… For being my beautiful lifetime experience…” She says, repeating the words he told her earlier. He brings his lips to hers, pressing a soft kiss. As they pull away, he pecks the tip of her nose.
“To make up for what Bokuto-san interrupted-” She laughed a bit, slowly opening her door. “-I’ll see you in the morning, love. Get your rest tonight.” He watches as she closes her apartment door, he starts quietly jumping out of excitement.
“Oh, my gosh…” He runs his hands through his messy hair, still in shock. “Keiji, you’re not dreaming… You’re actually with her…” He whispers to himself as he walks back to his apartment. He began to smile like an idiot once the realization settled in. He couldn’t believe it.
“A beautiful lifetime experience, huh.”
Akaashi Keiji
Tumblr media
It has been exactly three days since you and Akaashi have spoken.
You even ignored him in the classroom, and Bokuto noticed the tension between you two.
The tension between you two was getting uncomfortable that even your friends urged you to reconcile your relationship with him.
But you wanted him to apologise first.
You two had a fight about what you guys would do on your date but could not agree to one activity and had a fallout.
Both of you are suffering, especially you, who want to hug him and hold his hands, but you can't do it because of your pride.
His affected teammates and friends who want you to be back to normal devise a plan to get you two back to normal again.
Having a petty girlfriend, he has to sacrifice a bit, not that he minds.
During the weekends, he went to get the teddy bear plush that you have always wanted and got your favourite takeouts to your house.
You were pacing around your room because you were getting anxious.
Why hasn't he texted you or call you? Is he that upset?
Then a knock on your door interrupts your pacing.
"What?!"
A teddy bear greeted you instead.
"Will you forgive me? I'm sorry for being such an asshole." Akaashi reveals his face behind the teddy bear, and you nearly teared up at the sight of his face. You open your mouth to say something, but you threw your arms around him and starts crying.
Akaashi was used to your random emotional outbursts, so he gently pats your back to comfort you and let you cry in his arms.
"I'm sorry for being such an asshole too! I didn't mean to ignore you! My pride just got in the way..." You discreetly rubbed your snot on his shirt, and he felt it.
"Baby, did you just wiped your snot on my shirt?" You lifted up your face and shook your head at him.
Seeing how cute you were, he just could not get angry at you.
"It's alright. My shirts are still here, right?" You nodded your head, and he heads into your room. You hugged the teddy bear and followed him inside.
He stripped off his current shirt and changed into one of the shirts that he left behind.
"Okay, I bought your favourite takeouts. Let's head down to eat it and watch your favourite movie." When he does all these just to apologise, you felt like crying again.
"Ah, why is my girlfriend such a crybaby? Hmm? Since when did you cry so much?" He cups your face in his large hands.
You shook your head but stares at him with your watery eyes.
"I'm not a crybaby! I just feel bad that you did all of these for me, but I did nothing..." You look down to your feet, but he lifted your chin up to face him.
"I did all of these on my own accord. Don't feel bad. How about giving me a kiss?" You leaned up and kisses his lips, and ran straight down to the living room.
Ah, that's his sweetheart, who could be shy and cute at times, but he still loves after their fights.
The first time you two meet, you have a manga book in your hands. And it's funny, because neither of you can read yet. That's why you're there, on your first day of primary school.
"I just like the pictures and the colors" you tell him, turning the page "Wanna read it with me?"
"I wouldn't call it reading if we're not actually reading" he tells you, but sits beside you nonetheless.
You talk about everything you see, pointing at every characters you think is cute and theorizing about what you think they're probably saying. He nods at all, absentmindedly.
That day, he makes his first friend.
He sits beside you, and you like to throw little paper planes at him when he's not looking, and pass him small notes with silly jokes and dumb drawings of the teacher. He keeps all of them, stuffed in the bottom of his backpack until middle school arrives, and he empties the bag on the bed and every little paper you ever passed him during class comes falling down, like snow. He looks at them— eyes scanning your handwriting in those bright colors you like to use, from the glittery pens you insist on buying. He takes them all and puts them in a jar on his desk, right next to the picture of the two of you in front of the school.
He realizes he likes you in your second year of middle school, when you start talking about boys as more than just regular people to hang around with. You still read manga— and now that you can also understand what the characters are saying, it has become more like an obsession for you, so it's in a comic book store where he first notices. He's examining a book he grabbed from a nearby shell when you come running towards him, face flushed and out of breath.
"Okay, so don't look now" you tell him, and he refrains from pointing out that he can't look at anything, since you're both surrounded by shelves "But the guy on the register is really cute"
He frowns, having lost any interest in the book in his hands "What?"
"He's really cute" you say again, giggling "I need to buy more stuff so I can spend more time in front of him"
You end up buying the two new volumes of your favorite manga series, as well as a complete new set of one you've heard people talking about, saying it was good. He stands behind you, having bought nothing for himself, as you twirl your hair around your finger and laugh at the jokes the guy working on the register makes.
Akaashi goes back home to stand in front of the mirror beside his bed. He doesn't look at all like the guy from the store. His hair and eyes are dark, and he's wearing nothing but a simple white t-shirt and some pants. He looks to the side, to the desk where he has more stuff about you than himself.
He pushes the twinge of sadness in his chest aside, in favor of texting you to see if you got home safely.
He catches you in his arms and spins you around with ease, resisting the urge to bury his nose in your hair. He's sweaty from the game, and it's already good enough that you let him hug you in your nice dress.
"You did so good Keiji! You're the best in the team!" you yell, when your feet touch the ground again, shooting an apologetic look at one of his teammates passing by your side in that exact moment.
"I wouldn't say I am the best" he says, chuckling fondly "But thank you. And I'm glad you came"
"I wouldn't miss it for the world! It's so fun to watch you play volleyball!"
"Is it?"
You vigorously nod "It is! You're also the only one that puts some passion to the game. Are your teammates even trying?"
He refrains from telling you that you're the main reason for his excitement.
You have your first date ever on your third year, arguing that it's your last chance for dating anyone from class anymore, since you'll all probably be going to different high schools.
'You could date him', he thinks while he listens to you ramble about the lucky guy, nodding along as you walk down the school hallways.
'You could date him', he thinks as he walks you home, and you insist for him to come inside with you to help you stay calm.
'You could date him', because there's a picture of the two of you during a school field trip by your bedside table, and the stuffed animal he won for you in the summer fair is resting against your pillow.
'You could date him', he says to himself, as he waves goodbye to you and watches you walk away, on your way to a date with a boy that doesn't knows about your favorite food, or color, or about the little things you do when you're nervous and everything else that makes you simply you.
You call him later, when he's already in bed and dozing off, to tell him the date didn't go as you expected, and the guy turned out to be kind of a douch bag. You're not crying, but you sound so utterly disappointed and tired that he can't just go to sleep and not do something; so he turns on his laptop and spends the night googling any new manga you haven't read yet. He ends up learning a lot about genres and styles of drawings, and when the morning light shines through his window, he has a full list of recommendations ready for you.
It's been a long time since he figured out how reading cheers you up.
He finds out about Bokuto Koutaro thanks to a high school volleyball video, in wich the passion for the game is so clear on the ace face that Akaashi actually spends the whole match following him around with his eyes, intent on every one of his moves. He decides that he will be attending Fukurodani Academy the next day, and it's beyond thrilled to find out that you'll also be going there.
"So you'll keep playing volleyball in high school then?" you ask him on your way home.
He nods "Yes, I think so"
You hum, pushing a lock of hair behind your ear "And you really want to be on Fukurodani's team because of this Bokuto guy, right?"
"Well, they do have a pretty solid team, it's not only about him" he tells you, watching as your mouth forms a perfect 'o' "But yeah... his passion for playing did impressed me. It's so different from the guys I've played with this three years"
You wink at him, amused "Should I be jealous of this guy, Keiji? The way you talk about him is too much"
He laughs and grabs his bag a little tighter. You should hear how he talks about you.
Bokuto Koutaro turns out to be more than just the guy that impressed him enough to chose to attend Fukurodani Academy. He soon becomes Akaashi's friend, and by extension yours too. He has a bubbly personality and the most loud voice Akaashi's ever heard, and his mood is as ever changing as the moon, and he can be a little overwhelming at times, but being with him is fun regardless, and soon the three of you become an inseparable trio, despite Bokuto being your senpai.
"You should tell her" Bokuto says one day after practice, completely out of the blue "Want me to tell her for you or something?"
Akaashi pauses, avoiding Bokuto's eyes because he knows, without asking, what he's refering to "I'm not following"
When Bokuto says your name, he blinks and pushes his locker room door closed "I mean, you would have to be blind not to see it"
"We're just friends"
Bokuto shrugs, both of his hands behind his back "I mean, sure. But like, the way you look at her. It's the same way I look at the ball before serving"
Akaashi laughs at the analogy, taking his stuff to go home "I bet it is"
You start dating Konoha on your second year of high school, and Akaashi stands in front of his mirror the day he finds out, the same as he did many years ago after you flirted with that guy from the comic book store. Once again, nothing but normal eyes and hair stares back at him. Konoha has blond hair. Maybe, he was always too plain for being something other than your friend.
Bokuto tries to cheer him up, and even goes as far as to give Konoha the cold shoulder for a week, until Akaashi asks him to stop, because this isn't anyone's fault. Bokuto also offers to tell you about his feelings, but Akaashi quickly dismisses that option. You don't see him as anything but your best friend, and he would never dare to ruin that.
He keeps himself busy by reading the manga he knows you like, in the places you used to hang out before your days were filled with dates and romantic escapades. He hangs around Bokuto more, plays volleyball more, and tries to put upside down the picture of the two of you he has on his desk, right next to the jar still filled with all the paper planes you sent flying towards him a long time ago. It lasts for a day, before he has to place the picture back up again.
He needs to see your face before going to sleep.
He hugs you a little too tight after his game against Eiwa High, during the Tokyo Nationals. He's thankful for Bokuto distracting everyone else on the team— including Konoha — with his yelling about winning and looking cool, and this time, Akaashi does buryes his nose on your hair.
"You were as cool as always" you tell him, leaning forward to whisper in his ear "Much more cool than Bokuto, but don't tell him I said that"
"Your secret is safe with me" he reassures you, and the two of you laugh at the same time.
"I kind of miss you, you know?" you tell him, and it's so sudenly and he's still recovering from that victory high, that your words punch all the air out of him "I'm sorry if we haven't been spending that much time together... I never realized having a boyfriend could be so draining"
"Are you happy?" he asks you, and you stop talking to look him in the eyes.
"What?"
"Are you happy?" he asks again, and he doesn't wants his thoughts to linger on how much it takes you to answer.
"Yeah, I am"
"Then that's all that matters to me"
You end up breaking up with Konoha a couple of days before him and Bokuto's graduation, and Akaashi can't say he's glad, because he isn't. He's just relieved. Bokuto is leaving, but you're staying with him, and things might return to normal now. To the way they used to.
"It's just weird, you know?" you tell him, as the two of you walk back home after dropping Bokuto at his place "I don't... feel bad"
"You don't?"
"I mean, yeah. I'll probably miss him. But not too much?" you say, frowning.
Akaashi nods, not too sure on what to answer "I see"
"It's just... you know? I've always thought that the right person would come at the right time. It's silly, right? Might be all those shojo mangas I've read, acting up on me"
"I don't think it's silly" Akaashi says, because somehow, he thinks he feels the same.
His right person came around twelve years ago, and its walking by his side right now.
"Well, maybe Konoha was never the right person. And maybe high school wasn't the right time either" you reason, taping your bottom lip with your finger "What do you think, Keiji?"
He thinks walking home beside you is the best feeling in the world.
He's going to a different college. He's going to a different college and you're not sure why, but the thought leaves you in tears. He tells you one day, during lunch, his eyes never leaving his bento. He wants to major in Literature. You congratulate him, telling him you know he'll do great. When you get home, you throw your bag in a corner and plop on the bed without even taking your uniform off.
The next day is not any easier, and you start to question your attitude. Akaashi and you would remain friends, you're sure of that, even if he goes to a different school than you for the first time ever. So then what's the problem? You don't find it that day, but when you get home, you notice for the first time that you have an entire wall covered in yours and Akaashi's pictures.
"I've never asked you this" you tell him, sitting cross legged on his bed, with a Math book on your lap "But what on earth is in that jar?"
Akaashi follows your gaze, and you notice him hesitate for a moment before answering "The little airplanes and notes you used to throw at me when we were in primary school"
You blink, something heavy taking hold of your throat "You kept those?"
"Yeah"
You go back home and like a robot, walk towards your closet and dig around your stuff without really registering what you're doing. You find your old backpack in the back, a light layer of dust covering it. You empty it on the floor. Inside, its every little note Akaashi sent back, those times he didn't think the teacher would caught him passing notes to your desk behind his back.
You sit in the middle of the mess and cry, because you've realized for the first time that maybe you've been in love with Akaashi forever.
You ask him to meet you at the store he's been accompanying you since the two of you met, to buy the mangas you love. You notice him eyeing the cashier wearily, but he doesn't says anything and you're too nervous to point random facts out. You stop in front of a shelf on the back, the one with the shojo mangas, and turn to him slowly, taking a gulp of air.
"Something wrong?" he asks you, worry evident on his face.
You pick up a random book out of the shelve to your left and open it, not paying real attention to anything inside "Say, Keiji..."
"Yeah?"
"What do you think is the best way of confessing to someone... in a shojo manga?"
He eyes the book in your hand, and then looks back at you "I don't know. I suppose it depends"
"Depends on what?"
"On the characters" he explains, and you nod, chewing on your bottom lip "Sometimes an out of the blue, surprise confession is best for certain characters. After you never even noticed they liked each other"
"Right"
He shrugs "Those are pretty common"
"And other times?"
He hums, glancing at his side and taking a look at some of the titles lined up there "Other times it's something that happens after a long wait, and you know at least one of them has been pining from afar"
You swallow down your nerves "And those are... those are the best right?"
His gaze snaps back to you "What?"
"Yeah... you know..." you say, fumbling with your words "Sometimes a girl has been in love with a guy for a long time, but it's been entirely oblivious too and even dated other boys" you notice him tense, clenching and unclenching his fists, but you're too busy burning a hole in the pages of the book you're holding to life your eyes towards him "And then one day... the girl wakes up and can't stand the idea of the guy just slipping away, and the pain just makes her realize that she's in love. With the guy, of course" you clear your throat "Might have been for a long time"
He takes a couple of seconds to answer, and when he does, his voice is nothing but a whisper "And how would the girl confess her love then?"
"Well..." your hands are trembling as you talk, and you wet your lips before finishing your sentence "She might do it in a comic book store. You know. Self-conscious literature and all that"
Akaashi says your name then, and you weakly nod and don't put up any resistance as he takes the book from your hands, grabbing your shin and making you look him in the eyes.
"Do you want me to show you what usually happens after a shojo manga confession?" he asks, his breath ghosting your lips.
"Yes please"
He kisses you softly at first, a feather light touch that leaves you wanting more, because you've never felt this much from just a single kiss. You almost whine in relieve when he halfheartedly places the book back on the shelf to take your head in both of his hands and part your lips with his, deepening the kiss and pushing you against the wall. His tongue tastes of desperation, and bottled up feelings, and his body fits against yours like a puzzle you've spent too long trying to solve.
"I'm sorry if this... if I'm ruining anything" you tell him between kisses, and he throws his head back and laughs— the most beautiful sound you've ever heard.
"Ruin? I've been waiting my whole life for you. And I was willing to keep waiting forever"
You chuckle, eyes filling with tears— this time of joy "Good thing our shojo manga doesn't have the budget for that many chapters, huh?"
You go to different colleges, but your newfound love remains strong. Akaashi would end up working for a manga magazine later on, and you think it couldn't have been any more fitting for your own shojo story, as you sweep the dust off the desk where now two jars full of little paper planes rest together.
Hot tears slipped down your cheeks in frustration as the door slammed. The apartment was eerily quiet. The only noise filling your ears was the occasional soft sniffle as you furiously rubbed at your eyes, willing yourself to stop crying despite the very real reason behind them.
The sheets puddled in your lap, and despite the soft chill covering your skin, you couldn’t bring yourself to cover yourself- your bed no longer brought you the comfort you sought. Yet again, your fiancé had left you to go practice volleyball with his team post-sex despite having agreed to dinner with you. He had kissed you, apologizing as he got ready despite your pleas, but Bokuto Koutaro really only had one love that claimed his heart, and it was always glaringly obvious it wasn’t you.
You could beg him all you wanted, but at the end of the day, he would choose his sport over you. It didn't always bother you. In fact, you had encouraged it for the longest time, even as he skipped out on dates or outings for practice. However, leaving you for the others had long since grown old, especially when you wanted nothing more than to curl up in his arms and be held.
He always would promise to make it up to you, showering you in gifts and lavish trips and soft words, but it didn’t change the fact he really only seemed to be at ease on the court and between your legs.
Still, there was one person you knew you could always turn to. As long as you have known Bokuto, Akaashi Keiji has known him longer. The former setter had always dealt with Bokuto’s tantrums and emotional mood swings, and he didn’t seem to mind when, even now, you turned to him for help.
You always assumed it was because Akaashi favored Bokuto, the two of the remaining close friends and meeting frequently even though they had graduated and had no actual ties holding them together. After seeing him around for so long, you had also warmed up to him, and now, you also sought him out for comfort, despite the soft whisper of it being inappropriate, which you often forced down.
Still, you found yourself reaching for your phone and clicking the familiar contact. After a few moments of it ringing, the phone clicked as the other side picked up.
“Hello?” Akaashi’s voice carried through the phone, and you sniffled pathetically again. “Y/N, are you okay?”
You nodded, forgetting he couldn’t see you. “Yeah.” God, even your voice sounded pathetic. “Can you come over?” You found yourself whispering before you considered the words.
Akaashi was silent for a moment, and you found yourself wondering if he would agree to the proposition before he spoke. “Sure.” The sound of keys jingling made you swallow, because of course your boyfriend's friend would come over to see you when your boyfriend wouldn’t even stay. “What’s wrong?”
You rubbed at your eyes again. “It’s Kou again. He is...infuriating, sometimes. We were supposed to have dinner, but someone texted him, and of course he agreed. We’ve been planning this for the last week.” You found yourself babbling, the words spilling before you could stop it even as silent tears rolled down your face in humiliation.
“Okay, okay. It’s okay, Y/N. I promise. I’ll be there in a few okay? I’ll tell you when I get there.” His words were soothing, and you mumbled an agreement. As he hung up, you forced yourself to wipe your tears once more.
You looked down at your chest and the splattering of hickeys Bokuto had left on them, and you touched them lightly before your hand fell. You could feel the soreness between your legs, left over from his energetic thrusts, and you didn’t want to think of the mess he had left there either.
Still, Akaashi was on his way, so you forced yourself to stand, moving from the bed and grabbing an old, oversized shirt and a pair of panties from the drawer as you made your way to the bathroom. As you cleaned yourself up, taking care of the new bruises and fluids left from your actions earlier, you didn’t fight the tears or the pit in your stomach.
You tried washing your face, patting cold water on your eyes to remove the puffiness that was there, but eventually, you ignored it, simply wiping it on the shirt. Akaashi had seen you worse than this.
As if on cue, a knock on your apartment door had you jumping. You walked out, dragging your feet as you went before you opened it without looking. Akaashi stood outside the door, his fist raised if he was about to knock again before you had opened it.
Upon seeing you, his features softened, and he stepped into your space, pulling you into a hug as you sniffled into his shirt. His hand was gentle on the back of your head, petting your hair lightly as he soothed you, the door shutting behind him. “It’s okay. I promise. It’ll be ok.”
You clung to his words, replaying them in your head in hopes that he was right, because at this point you were ready to leave. You were so sick and tired of Bokuto’s antics and not appreciating you.
As if Akaashi could sense your train of thought, he pressed a soft kiss to your head. “He loves you, a lot.” At this point, you weren’t sure who he was trying to convince, because Bokuto clearly wasn’t here showing it. “I’m sorry he’s doing this to you.”
You hum in response, enjoying the contact with Akaashi, but even you realized how wrong it was for you to be seeking comfort in your fiance’s best friend's arms. Which is exactly why you pulled back, and Akaashi reluctantly let you.
“Do you want a drink?” you questioned, and Akaashi smiled so softly, his eyes just as sad as yours were.
“I know where everything is. Go sit down.” He coaxed gently, and you nodded.
You could hear him as he rustled through your kitchen, finding your cups and the water you kept chilled in the fridge. When he brought it out to you, you were already sitting on the couch, a blanket drawn up over you as he handed you a cup, which you took, swirling it gently in your hands as Akaashi sat next to you, his body angled towards you as he watched you.
“Drink.” His words were a soft command. You obeyed, lifting the glass to your lips as you sipped it lightly. “Now, tell me, what happened.”
Your words spilled out then, rushing out your mouth as quickly as your tears did as you told him exactly what happened earlier. How he had come home late, barely talked to you before he was ushering you to bed. Then, he had just left after, despite your anger and the fact you had plans together. “It’s like he doesn’t even care about me, Keiji. He just wants me for sex.”
Your final words tumbled out as you finished breaking down, soft sobs shaking your shoulders as you sobbed. Akaashi hummed, taking your cup from you as it threatened to spill as he sat both of your cups down on the coffee table.
He once again pulled you into him, letting you rest your head on his chest as you cried, and he resumed his head-petting, just as you liked. “It’s okay.” he promised, his words comforting even as he buried his own face into your hair.
He knew he should feel guilty about it, how he was holding you so selfishly and breathing your scent, which would fuel his late night thoughts despite your genuine heartache. Still, he couldn’t bring himself to push you away, and not let you clutch him so desperately and use him either.
“I’m sorry he’s doing this. He should realize how blessed he is to have you.” Akaashi’s words were whispered into your hair, but you couldn’t help the soft noise of confusion as you pulled back to stare up at him.
“What do you mean?” You questioned attempting to pull away from his chest, unsure if you liked where this conversation was going, but his grip was tight and prevented you from pulling away from him.
“I mean, he is being selfish. It’s what he does. You’re amazing, and he should worship you like you deserve.” His words were gentle as his thumb ran over your cheek, wiping off the tear tracks there, and he looked so very sad as you flinched away from it.
“Keiji, I don’t know-” You started, and he shushed you gently, his finger brushing against your lips.
“It’s true. I would treat you better. I should have never given into him.” His words were soft, musing, as if he didn’t mean to speak them, and before you could question further he was leaning forward, his face suddenly too close. “Can I?”
You swallowed. “Can you do what, Keiji?” you questioned, and he smiled softly.
“Can I show you how I would treat you if you were mine?” His words were gentle, filling you with a lull of soft security, and before you knew what you were doing, you found yourself nodding even as he was leaning even further forward.
His lips pressed against yours, fitting securely against your lips as you sucked in a sharp breath. He was gentle- much more than Bokuto ever was- his lips moving against yours, and after a moment, you found yourself responding to them in turn.
Hands touching your neck made you jump even as he pressed further into you, holding you securely to his body so you couldn’t escape from him. As your lips parted to object, his tongue brushed against them before sliding into your mouth.
The whimper you let out was eagerly swallowed as he licked into your mouth, pushing his tongue against yours and enticing you to play with him, which you found yourself reluctantly doing. Your tongues molded against one another, slid against one another, before he was pulling away, gasping in breaths of air even as you leaned forward, chasing after him.
His forehead pressed against yours, his fingers tightening on your neck, feeling the drumming of your pulse against his hand. “Please,” his whisper was low, deep, and needy, and you found yourself leaning forward into it.
“Please what, Keiji?” you questioned, and he let out a soft whine in response, a noise that made your thighs clench together and all reason fly out of your head.
“Please….” he hesitated, pondering his next words, as if he didn’t know exactly what he was about to ask. “Please let me touch you. Touch you properly.”
You swallowed again, and for a moment, your eyes met his, and the thought of what you were about to do crossed your mind, but rather than focus on it, you pushed it from your thoughts. You couldn’t mull over it, not yet. “Okay.”
The word was all the permission he needed, a sharp whimper escaping his lips as he pushed back into you. His other hand attached to your hip, sliding first up over your shirt before he was dipping down, and pushing at the shirt.
As his skin connected with yours, you let out a sharp hiss, which he eagerly caught, his tongue pressing against your lips yet again as you opened for him. As his hands traced up your body, his hands connecting with your breast, he tensed, as if he realized what he was doing also.
He pulled back ever so gently, his eyes searching yours as his lips parted, but any words he was about to say disappeared in his throat just as quickly as you licked your lips. His lips connected with yours once more, desperate, as his hand opted to grope at your breast, squeezing the tender flesh before he pulled back to pinch at the nipple lightly.
“Fuck, you’re so gorgeous.” His words were whispered into your mouth as you gasped into him, back arching up into his touch as he pulled at the bud. “He’s so stupid.”
You let out a soft noise at that in objection, but he didn’t give you the chance to speak as he nipped at your lips eagerly instead. After a moment, his head dipped from you, his hands moving down to push at your shirt until he was able to wiggle it up past your breasts.
The sharp exhale was audible to you as he stared at your chest for a moment before his head dipped to kiss at the valley between them. He pulled back just far enough to shift where his head was before he latched on to your nipple, sucking it gently into his mouth as his tongue pushed over it in excitement.
His pace was gentle, soothing, and relaxed as he sucks at tender flesh. His teeth grazed the bud just for a moment before he soothed it with his tongue. “You’re so perfect.” The words were whispered into your flesh as he nuzzled at it, his other hand palming softly at your other breast as his eyes flicked up to your face.
As your eyes met, his name fell from your lips in a soft sigh, a mournful sound, and he smiled gently. His lips released your nipple, moving to the other side to suck on it as your hands came to grip his hair.
He hummed in response as you tugged lightly in the soft curls of his hair that were beginning to form from the length. His lips wrapped around the new bud, sucking it into his mouth as you whimpered his name out again.
“Keiji, please.” The words were whispered, but his ears caught it anyways, so very attentive on your body’s response to his actions. His mouth released from your chest as he turned to look up at you, and there was no mistaking the dark glint in his eye from anything other than lust for you.
He pressed another kiss to your skin. “What is it, darling?” his words were gentle, covering you in comfort as his hands rubbed tenderly into your skin. Yet as your lips fell open, no words came out. You didn’t know what to ask him for.
The idea of what you were doing was finally beginning to set in, a warm bubbly feeling masking the terror of being caught later on. Yet at the end, it wasn’t you who spoke.
“Can I take you to bed?” His words were sweet, much nicer than the given implications of what would occur if you said yes. He was taking charge of the situation and guiding you to comfort like he always did.
Your hands moved on their own to cup his face, pulling him up into yours as you lent forward and wrapped your arms around his neck, your foreheads pressing together gently as you held him to your body. The hum he let out filled you with warmth, your toes curling in an excitement you hadn’t felt in a while as he pressed a gentle kiss to your nose.
“Yes,” the word fell from your lips without much thought. The idea of telling him no, pushing him away from you, left you with even more anxiety than holding him did.
“Come, little one.” His instructions had you moving even before he pulled away, clutching to his body as he helped you to your feet and ushered you in front of him towards the bedroom. As you crossed the threshold of the room, you swallowed, feet pausing as you gazed at your bed, which was still tousled from earlier.
Sensing your hesitation, Akaashi’s arms wrapped around you from behind, his hand coming up to force you to stare up into his eyes. “If you don’t want to, we can stop.” He assured, pressing his face gently against yours once more, and you couldn’t help the whimper that fell from your lips as you pressed further into his.
“No. I want to.”
You knew he was giving you an out, promising to stop at any point should you want it, but it didn’t change the fact of how desperately you craved wanting to be wanted. So you angeled your head up, kissing first his jawline and moving to the corner of his lips.
“Please, Keiji,” you whispered, and this time you both knew exactly what you were asking for, and who was Akaashi to deny either of you?
His hands moved, shifting to spin you around to face him further as his hands came up to tangle roughly in your hair, and his other hand slotted against your hips as he carefully walked you backwards until your knees hit the bed.
Before you could collapse onto it, his hands were moving to push at your shirt once more, removing his lips from yours just long enough to tug your shirt over your arms and head before he was throwing it to the floor and pressing back further into you relishing how your body felt flush against him.
He could feel your nipples pressed against his body, even through the skin as you whimpered in frustration. Your hands reached out, tugging at his shirt, and he laughed lightly against your lips as he pulled back. His hands fumbled with his shirt for a moment, undoing the buttons by his head, before he was tugging his own shirt off and discarding it.
As his body pressed against yours, with only bottoms separating the two of you, he let out a sharp sigh into your lips. Your hands smoothed over his skin, running over muscles and skin you had never experienced before.
Yet, just as quickly as he started the kiss, he pulled away. His hands nudged your hips further back on the bed as his head dipped down to kiss at your neck. You hummed in response, fingers lazily running over his back as you rolled your hips up into him.
“Easy,” he breathed out into your skin, moving to kiss at your collarbone, and then back down your chest. “I want to take my time, show you properly how much you mean to me. Is that okay?”
You nodded, licking at your lips as you watched him move further down your body, stopping only to kiss at spots randomly, just to hear and feel the responses you gave to him. When he reached the band of your panties, he hesitated, pressing a kiss right against the line. His eyes flicked up at you as his fingers ran over the band carefully.
“Are you sure?” His words were gentle, but clouded with desire. You let out an annoyed whimper, tired of his hesitation.
“Keiji, please.” You found yourself repeating even as he frowned, pulling back slightly, and you lifted your hips to chase after it as his hands pushed down, effectively holding you in place.
“I want to hear you say it.”
You let out a whine, licking at your lips as you reached out for him. “Yes, I’m sure. I want you, Keiji.”
Akaashi hums then, a delighted glint showing in his eyes as he mulls over your words in his head. “You sound so beautiful when you say that.”
His hands tugged at the band of your underwear, pulling it down your legs, and you feel your legs closing at his intense scrutiny, suddenly shy.
“Shhh,” he soothed, his thumb running over your mons. “You’re so fucking perfect.” He promised, and you let out a soft whimper in response to his words.
His hands nudged your legs open as he pushes his way in between them. His eyes were level with your cunt, and you couldn’t help the warm flush that spread up your body as you covered your face with your hands shyly, and his fingers gently pushed open your lips to stare at your core.
“Perfect.” he repeated, leaning forward and pressing a kiss to the top of your slit before you could object. Just as quickly, his tongue slid out, licking up your slit as you let out a sharp gasp of his name.
Before you could try and wiggle away, his hands connected with your hips, grabbing them tightly as he held you still, his eyes connecting with yours as he pressed his face into your core. His tongue slid out to lick sloppily at your hole as you feel him push into you.
“Keiji!” His name was slurred, your mind hazy at the stimulation he was giving you. He was so different from how Kotarou usually ate you out. Akaashi was much more neat, his tongue pushing in and out of you repeatedly even as you squirmed underneath his grip, desperate for more.
Yet, as your eyes flicked down to look at him, his attention was focused solely on you. Blue eyes knocked your breath away as they locked with yours, and you couldn’t help the whine that slid out as you attempted to arch your hips up into his mouth.
“Please.”
Akaashi hummed in response, a satisfied noise that had you blushing from the vibrations as his tongue pulled away from your hole, licking up your slit slowly yet again until it flicked over your clit.
The grin that spread across his face was shameless as you jumped, hands flying down to fist in his hair at oversensitivity as you let out a squeal of his name. He repeated the action, enjoying how you flinched and cried at the pleasure as he continued to repeat the assault on the sensitive bundle of nerves smugly.
“It’s too much.” You whispered, but ever-attentive, he caught it. He let out a hum in response even as you whined at the vibrations, but rather than back off, his lips wrapped around the bud as he sucked harshly on it.
Your back arched up off the bed as your fingers tightened in his hair. “Fuck, Keiji!” you cried out, hips jerking under his hands as they pushed you down. Even as your eyes squeezed shut, you could feel his eyes on you, watching your face closely as he memorized your movements, ingraining them into his mind, and he held your hips flush to his face even as you squirmed against his grip.
As the ball in your stomach exploded. His name was all that fell from your lips in a chant as you came around him. His fingers worked you steadily through your orgasm, your body trembling around him as you crashed down. As his movements caught up with your body, you let out a cry, pushing at his head desperately as you attempted to push him away.
“‘s too much!” You repeated, words slurred and heavy in your mouth as your body jerked with overstimulation.
The man finally gave in, pulling away to kiss his way up your body as you grabbed at his face, kissing him eagerly as you pushed at his remaining clothes.
“Please?” The word was asked against his lips, barely audible as you gasped into his mouth. He nodded in response, his lips never leaving yours as his hands fumbled with his boxers, pushing them down his legs.
As you reached down, wrapping a fist blindly around his cock, his hips canted forward, a sharp groan escaping his lips against yours as you curiously stroked it. He was heavy in your hand, solid and warm. You could feel the precum leaking down from his tip, wetting your hand as you ran a thumb curiously over it.
As you tried to pull away, his hands caught you, holding you against him even as you let a soft squeak in protest, wanting to taste him in your mouth as well. “It’s fine,” he breathed out against your lips as if he could hear your thoughts.
“This is about you.”
His hands nudged you back, pinching at your skin playfully as you wiggled backwards further up the bed. He stopped you, pushing you flat back onto the bed so he could loom over you.
He pulled back, panting heavily against your lips as his eyes scanned your face once more, and you couldn’t help but acknowledge just how pretty he was, the light illuminating his head behind a shadow of black hair.
You reached up for him, trying to pull him back down against you, but he gently knocked your hand away as he looked down at you, eyes soft.
“I don’t have a condom.” He sounded apologetic, unsure of his words, as he examined you and your reaction to his statement.
You hummed in response, gently rubbing a thumb against his cheekbone as he turned his head into the pressure.
“It’s okay,” you promised softly. Koutarou never wore a condom with you, prefering to fill you up, which you didn’t mind, but it helped that you were on birth control already. You also trusted Akaashi, and if he said he was safe, you had no reason to doubt him.
“I can pull out?” he offered, voice raising at the end of his words in question as he proposed the solution, and you nodded softly.
“That’s fine with me.” You approved, and this time it was him who hummed in approval as he shifted upwards close towards your hip. As he pulled back to rub a thumb over his own head, and you felt your mouth dry at just how pretty his cock was.
He didn’t give you long to look, gently gripping your hip with one hand as he held his cock with the other. He ran the tip of it along your folds, smiling softly as you jumped at the sensation of it bumping into your clit.
As soon as he deemed it slick enough with your own juices, he angled his hips to push it lightly against your opening. He teased you just for a moment, gently pressing against the hole without pushing into it until you whined out his name. It was a pitiful sound that had him pushing his hips forward and entering you with a soft exhale.
You felt your body tense up around him at the new sensation. He was a bit smaller than Bokuto, not stretching your walls to the same level, but it still left your toes curling at the new sensation of Akaashi inside of you.
Your sharp whimper filled his ears, your hips arching up into him as he bottomed out within you. You reached up, grabbing at his shoulders as you pulled him into you. You wrapped your arms around him, pulling his face into yours as you kissed at him.
“Fuck,” You breathed. “Can you move please?”
He hummed in response, nipping at your lip softly. “Yes, of course.”
His hips rolled into you gently, testing your response, and you let out a whine in pleasure as you tugged at his hair. He was slow, testing out your responses as you squirmed underneath him.
His name fell from your lips as you angeled your hips slightly higher, urging him to speed up.
“Shhh,” he hushed gently, kissing you as his hands moved to push your hips down. “You have to be patient.”
You frowned, grabbing at his back as you whimpered in frustration. “I don’t want to be patient, Keiji.”
He pressed a finger against your lips, leaning forward to kiss you as he pulled his finger away. You let another huff as he shifted, grabbing your hips and jerking them upwards so he could move his hips easier into you.
As he thrusted into you at this new angle, you let out a sharp yelp. Your hands scrambled at his arms as he hit the spongy spot inside your walls. A soft sob escaped your lips as he repeatedly began to hit your g-spot.
“Please, please, please.” You chanted out, back arching up into him in time with his thrusts. “Just like that.”
He smirked, leaning forward to cup your face in his hands. “You’re so gorgeous,” he purred, leaning down to kiss you tenderly.
Your tongue ran along his lips, eagerly pushing into his mouth as he opened for you. As your tongues pressed together, Akaashi’s hand slid in between your bodies to rub at your clit. As his fingers connected with your body, you jerked away from him at the sensation.
He let out an amused noise as he held you steady, pushing his fingers against you as he rubbed at your clit in time with his thrusts, and you jerked in pleasure.
As your body spasmed around his cock, he tensed as you milked him perfectly. “You’re so perfect, darling- you deserve to be worshipped,”
His other palm spread across your body, rubbing at your breasts softly as he pinched at your nipple lightly watching as you flinched, squirming under his attention.
“You should be treated like the goddess you are, and if he won’t do it, I will.” He promised, his thumb increasing in speed on your clit as your muscles spasmed. “I wonder what Bokutou would do if he knew you were with me right now.” he crooned out softly as he watched you cum around him.
As you grabbed at him, you buried your head into his shoulder, and your cunt spasmed around him.
“Keiji!” You cried out, clutching at his body desperately.
As his hips pulled back out of you, his hand left you to dip between you two yet again, except this time it was for his own pleasure. His own pleasure crested over him as he stroked himself to completion, painting your stomach white.
However, as he relaxed into you, the sound of the door creaking open made you both jerk away from one another, and you were left staring into the inscrutable eyes of your fiancé, who took over the scene in front of him with a strange amount of calmness.
“I don’t know, why don’t you ask me?”
