Springtime Fushiguros♪

Context-: exploring the memories of childhood of fushiguros, marking the spring time of you and satoru gojo.

Dropping Megumi at school :- you and gojo drop the fushiguro kids at school.

Megumi comes out of his shared room wearing his new school uniform. You and satoru both decided to admit them to a new elementary to change their surroundings and for better education.

You sigh realising what you got yourself into. You turn to the counter refilling the empty space of Megumi's lunch box, gojo ate. A smile appears on your lips unconsciously, you know you will see them bickering like this a million times and maybe that's a thing you would treasure.

Tsumiki watches gojo lecturing her brother, who doesn't even spares him a look and continues eating his breakfast as if the man shouting beside him doesn't exist.

'Enough! Finish your breakfast. Otherwise we are gonna be late.' you want, shutting gojo up.

'I'm done.' says Tsumiki, Megumi follows her next after finishing his breakfast. Gojo's the last one to finish, after stuffing the entire pancake into his mouth at once, earning a critical look from you three, to which he responds, 'whmff wff afe geffimg lffe?' (he chokes on his pancake)

Tsumiki couldn't suppress her laugh watching her guardian struggle choking on a pancake, 'what language on earth is he speaking?' asks Megumi, creeped out.

'nothing he's just telling we will get late, now you two get your bags while I deal with him.' you drag gojo to the bathroom, hitting him firmly on the back to help him vomit.

After dealing with gojo and his dumb decisions, you go quickly to fetch your camera.

'whats that for?' gojo asks after gulping water, coughing a bit.

'To take a group picture, now hurry!'

You set the camera on a tripod, setting a timer gathering the kids as gojo joins in. 'Come on kids, smile.' Tsumiki smiles for the picture, Megumi does too. You squat down to their height along with gojo.

City folk were strange.

That’s what you thought as you began to adjust to your new life. Even strangers such as Gojo tried to come up with ideas to hide your ears. A friend of his had called them ‘antennae’, but Gojo said calling them ears sounded cuter. You still didn’t know what he meant. But it was nice to get new things. Right away, you realized Gojo was rich.

He was more eager to take you shopping than you were to shop. Buying all sorts of clothing and taking pictures. Hats, hairbands, scarfs, and hair clips were purchased to hide your ears in various ways. Gojo eagerly combed through your hair and brushed it as he tried various styles.

“Does it hurt?” he asked.

“No,” you said.

He was surprisingly gentle.

“Well good, I have another kid I need to pick up. Two of them actually” he smirked.

You looked at him with a devastating look, backing away from him slowly.

“Hold on! They're not my kids!” he exclaimed.

Gojo explained the situation, these kids were abandoned by their parents. One was being sold off so he wanted to avoid that from happening. It made you wonder what your case was?

“The boy will know about you, but his sister won’t. Just tell her that your ears are hair for now. She is a regular human as far as I know” Gojo warned.

A regular human…

Megumi Fushiguro was dry.

You had never met a child like him before, but he reminded you of the statues around the shrine. He never seemed to be excited by anything and always was indifferent. Only when Gojo teased him too much did he show any anger or irritation.

Well, he was pretty annoyed that Gojo took you along on missions with him.

He mentioned that no one questioned him since he was the strongest. But he took you along so he could monitor you. He still wasn’t sure what you were capable of and wanted to find out what made you tick. He also couldn’t afford to leave you alone with Megumi or Tsumiki. It would also make it faster for you to learn about the Jujutsu world as a whole.

“Watch papa work okay~?” Gojo mused as he went to confront a curse.

It was a special grade, but it was weak even for his standards. This wouldn’t take long.

“Hungry…” you groaned and held your stomach.

You had eaten a while ago, but you were still growing. Gojo chalked it up to you beginning to manifest cursed energy or something.

“Well go get okonomiyaki later!” Gojo cheered as he went ahead.

The fight wouldn’t take long, but he wanted to show off a bit. He used flashy moves and dodged the curse playfully. Yeah, he could already see (y/n)’s face lit with excitement. He was eager to hear their prases and finished off the curse.

“(y/n)~ What did you think-” he stopped as he realized you were no longer standing where he left you.

Gojo looked around, you couldn’t have gotten far! You were barely tall enough to move that fast! He raised himself high up, looking for you from overhead. He hadn’t sensed a curse, but he couldn’t rule out the possibility. Relief washed over him when he saw you about a block away, following a woman. There was a small curse on her shoulder, causing her to haunch over.

“Kids, always want to be like their parents” he sighed.

But he saw a hungry look in your eyes, your hat had fallen off. Your ears were on display and he could see an aura of cursed energy. He could sense cursed energy from you, but it never manifested into any techniques. Why now?!

‘I ate it'

You weren’t going to, you couldn’t be!

‘Hungry, so hungry’

Your stomach grumbled in a way that hurt. You weren’t sure you could wait for Gojo and began to walk in hopes of finding a convenience store. You had a small purse with some coins in it, you could get something to tide you over until then. Ahead of you, there was a woman holding some groceries. Your eyes locked onto the strange creature on her shoulder. Suddenly, your mouth began to water.

Something drew you toward the woman, telling you to go after her. Your teeth tingled with the urge to bite something. Salvia pooled in your mouth and you couldn’t help but sigh out to relieve this feeling. You wanted something in your mouth, something to bite. Something to eat.

‘Hungry! I’m hungry!’

Gojo brought himself down fast, appearing behind you. But you were already lunging at the woman. Sharp teeth that didn’t match the dental makeup of a child shined in the street lights. In the short time, he had known you, Gojo had to admit he had grown attached. Unlike him, you had started with nothing, but you had a light to you. It was hope for the next generation, hope that you would grow into someone better than him.

If you ate a human, that would all be a far-off dream.

“(y/n)!” he shouted as he prepared to attack.

Although he knew you, he didn’t want to kill you. The second you killed a human, he would have to. He watched as you bit down on the curse, your teeth sinking into it. A shrill scream echoed out as the curse evaporated. The residual cursed energy went into your mouth and you chewed it up like bread.

“Eh? Did you need something?” the woman turned around and asked you.

“I was going to the convenience store, but never mind,” you said quickly as you put your hat back on.

You hadn’t even realized it fell off!

Gojo was quick to run up and scoop you into his arms.

“There you are, sweetie! Running off on your own, so naughty! You scared me half to death” he said as he snuggled his cheek against yours.

Before the woman could say anything, he ran off with you. He had to tell Yaga about this.

It didn’t take long for you to begin your training. Gojo was adamant to start training you and Megumi in at least martial arts. But you felt like Gojo was bullying you a bit.

“Why a bell?” you asked as you toyed with the bell around your neck.

It was a choker, easily passing as a weird fashion sense. But considering you had an extra set of ears on top of your head, it felt like he was making fun of you.

“It’s a seal, it keeps your cursed energy in check. The sound from the bell is on the same level as cursed energy, so normal humans can’t hear it” Gojo explained.

“Couldn’t you have used anything else?” you asked.

“Isn’t it super cute?!” Gojo gave you a silly smile.

“Figures he put his own odd taste into it” Megumi sighed.

Your first year of junior high was going to be a nightmare.

Tsumiki was a gread higher, but she promised to help you around the school. Megumi opted out, leaving you to learn from her dutifully. She was a kind person, treating you like a younger sibling despite the circumstances. You still found it hard to believe the two were related. After a few months, you began to notice something different about Megumi. He seemed far off as if he wasn’t “there”.

“Megumi” you called to him.

“Where do you get off calling me like that?” he said dryly.

“We live together” you made a face at him.

“So?” he grumbled.

“Calling you Fushiguro is a mouthful and your sister has the same name” you argued.

It was moments like these you would see Megumi look a bit disappointed and turn away from you. It was obvious he was sulking, but you never understood why he was so difficult.

“Anyways, what did you want?” he asked.

“Is something bothering you? You seem distracted” you asked.

His lips tightened into a thin line and he stared at you.

“You’re doing it again, the constipated look” you added.

“Mind your own business!” Megumi shouted and walked down the hallway.

“The nurse has ant-lactid!” you called after him.

“A love letter? Oh my,” Tsumiki giggled.

You heard about these things, but you never really understood them. Why write a letter? Just meet in person and get it over with. But you opened the letter so Tsumiki could read it.

“How romantic, are you going up to the roof later?” she asked.

“I dunno, I want to eat curry bread…” you sulked.

“Oh, come on! Be serious!” Tsumiki laughed.

Megumi looked at the letter as if it was a complaint.

“I think you shouldn’t go,” he said plainly.

“Oh Megumi, you don’t understand at all. This is the moment of youth, blossoming love! It would also be rude of you to not at least let him down easy” Tsumiki argued.

Megumi didn’t say anything, leaving the two of you alone as he stalked off to somewhere else.

“Okay” you agreed half-heartedly.

When it was time to meet up with the boy who wrote the letter, you were surprised to find him bruised and battered. His eyes went wide as he saw you and immediately began bowing.

“S-Sorry! I didn’t mean to write that letter! I apologize for leading you on. Bye!” he shouted as he ran back down the stairs.

Tsumiki came running through the door a few seconds later.

“W-What happened?” she gasped.

“I was rejected?” you gaped.

You failed to notice Megumi was extra tired that evening.

“How is (y/n)?” Yaga asked.

“Growing like a beansprout, I’m so proud!” Gojo cheered.

The air in the room turned serious shortly after.

“Although, those old farts are starting to take notice. I don’t know how much longer I can keep it a secret” he continued.

“Well, they are showing exceptional control. There isn’t a need to feed them curses anymore, but that seal you put on…” Yaga trailed off.

“Oh don’t worry, we have an agreement. Never take it off unless I can’t be there” Gojo grinned.

Even though Yaga had sunglasses on, Gojo could tell he was glaring at him.

“But don’t worry, I have a fail-safe in Megumi. If anything, never separate those two and we have nothing to worry about” Gojo continued.

“I didn’t take you to be a matchmaker” Yaga sighed.

“Eh? With my children?! No way! (y/n) only has eyes for papa! Moi!” Gojo shouted.

Although, he didn’t appear displeased by that comment.

A/N — this is just a flashback to the morning of reader's first day back in tokyo also the first time you and toji meet. enjoyyyy.

𝐜𝐡. 𝐈𝐈; 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐫.

it is 4:36 am. you get off the train at your stop, finally setting foot in tokyo. it is dark and it is empty which is most unusual for a city as alive as this.

you watch your step as you walk through the seemingly abandoned station, not a person in sight. unconsciously holding your breath, you feel a sudden chill run down your spine.

the change in temperature has nothing to do with the weather and you know this. a coin clatters to ground in front of you and your instincts locate the person who threw the coin, based on the temperature of body heat.

you turn your head and suddenly you see a man sitting against a wall with a bottle of beer in his hands. you resume breathing, taking a good look at this man.

he is visibly older, gloomy and much larger than you. you squint in confusion, wondering what he might be doing here at this time.

he takes a swig of his beer and speaks up "it's not very polite to stare" turning to look at you, your resolve is shattered after taking one look at his emerald eyes. his gaze takes its time to lazily roam your body before coming back to your eyes.

"you dropped this coin.." you bend to pick up the coin but when you turn, the man is no longer sitting against the wall. you feel breathing behind you and slowly, cautiously turn around.

the man is now facing you directly, reaching his hand towards yours. you breath hitches in your throat, immobilized by his stare.

he pulls out the coin from your hand, letting his fingers linger on your knuckles for just a moment too long and you take a second to study the man who towers over you.

his hair is straight and dark with bangs sweeping over his forehead. he has a scar on his lips and the urge to reach out and trace it is strong.

your eyes make its way lower, stopping at his visible collarbones, settling on the way his black t-shirt hugs his build so tightly. his biceps are straining against the material. your heart lurches in your chest, eyes dropping the the soft, vague bulge sticking out from his pants.

you look back up to meet his eyes, suddenly made aware that he was just studying you, the same way you were, him. you swallow a little, overwhelmed by the sheer size of him. he seems to like it.

"i'm not exactly looking for company right now but i'd shoot myself before i denied the company of a girl like you" he muses, clearly intrigued by you. if he was attracted to you, his facial expressions and body language speak a different story.

"i'm flattered and all, but you look way older than me and i'm not interested in that kind of thing right now.." your trailed off, turning your head down to stare at the scuffs on your worn shoes.

"you're getting ahead of yourself. i only meant a girl as strong as you. can't say your reputation doesn't precede you, fushigoro y/n" he smirks at your assumption, and it only deepens at your confusion.

"h-how do you know who i am? and, who exactly are you?" you cross your arms, feeling suddenly confident in yourself. being jujutsu high's prodigal 2nd year does pay off after all, you think. being a grade 1 sorcerer despite being a year younger than your classmates was not an easy thing.

"doesn't really matter. i'm no one important, atleast not to you" his nose flares and his eye twitches, quickly looking away and taking yet another swig of his beer.

you furrow your brows in confusion, sensing the sudden shift in the air. you want to take it back, maybe apologise to the man but you knew it wouldn't help. this clearly wasn't your fault. your hand twitches by your side, wanting to reach out and comfort him.

you get carried away in your thoughts for a moment, taken aback by your sudden inclination towards this man.

"how old are you?" the moment it leaves your lips, you regret saying it. he turns to face you. eyes narrowing, brows furrowing and then relaxing.

"thirty five" you wince. he was exactly twice your age, but the thought didn't turn you away like you thought it would. in fact it intrigued you more.

you open your mouth to say something, but he speaks before you. "this was a mistake. forget this ever happened" you blink and he's gone.

quicker than you could breath, the atmosphere was normal again. without a trace, the man had disappeared. and then you realize, he never even told you his name.

“Tell then you have to go doll, I’m starving ya know,” he whispered this into you ear, and the way he says it makes you think he’s not starving for food (if ya catch my drift) 👀😳

Itadori loves it when you help other people, cause it reminds him of how selfless and kind you are

Yet it just bothers him when other guys talk to you

The worst part is that he really doesn’t know what your saying...sure, he can pick up a few words now but not able to piece the conversation together

Sukuna is calling him a “spineless imbecile” in his head and finding this whole situation hilarious as hell

He doesn’t like looking jealous, but once he knows 100% certain you’re getting hit on he intervenes quick

Usually he knows cause if your body language-you just look less into the cinversation, your body language shrinks in to protect yourself, and you laughs turn to uncomfortable chuckles

Yeah, it’s fun to steal your pens so you have to ask him for more. He writes in his worst handwriting just so you have to go up and ask him what it says. Just so you can point out the words and he can subtly lean in to smell your perfume. Just to steal some more of your time. It’s all because you’re easy to talk to. That’s what he’ll keep telling himself.

And as for MEGUMI, he knows he was in trouble the first time you punched him. No, he’s not that kind of stuff at all, but the way that you rushed to his side was enough to get his heart pumping. The two of you were holding back in training until Yuji teased Megumi saying he was “too scared to hit them” and when he swung at you (and missed because he really was scared), you took it as a sign to swing back. You didn’t expect Megumi to not have a reaction at all, basically giving you a free punch in. He comes to the realization that he loves the attention you’re giving him. He loves the way your hands feel against his face when you inspect his eye and the way your presence calms him. Definitely tries to train with you as much as possible for the next time you hit him :)

Lastly (and arguably the most obvious one) INUMAKI tries to catch you at every chance he gets. He’ll mumble a “salmon” to you (which is an affirmative word for him) but he means to ask are you good? He will make some comments here and there when listening to your day and mainly shakes or nods his head when you talk to him. He’ll sit around you in group settings or partner up with you as much as he can to just spend time with you. He gets a warm feeling in his chest when you try to get some information about his day. It’s kind of like a game of 20 questions with him to get an idea of what he’s saying but it’s worth seeing how pink his cheeks get (especially around the purple marks) when you say comforting things to him.

If only they would just confess.

“Megumi! Oh, Megumi!”

He turns around with a slight smile on his face.

Her eyes always light up the sky and her smile sent stars into the sky. He could never get over the image of the way her eyes crinkled when she smiles widely. The image will always be there.

The voice that would lull him into a wonderland that he never wanted to leave. When she would whisper sweet nothing in his ear was his favorite part as her voice sounded like an angel speaking to him.

The voice that would make his heart speed up with just three simple words. It could also make his heart slow in a moment of heat and panic.

“Megumi, will you pay attention please?!”

Why is she in his head? Why is she here?

She shouldn’t be here. She should be somewhere safe

Somewhere that will keep her away from the tragedies surrounding him and his life.

A place that even he can go to in times of need and want. A place to forget everything and everybody.

Forget Gojo. Forget Sukuna, Forget Itadori. Forget Nobara. Forget everybody except her.

Just think of her. She is all he ever needs.

He reaches out his hand to touch the tips of her fingers. He can’t seem to reach her. He stretches out further to reach her but she keeps getting pushed back.

“Megumi! Megumi, listen to me!”

“I am listening! Just tell me!” he yells as he finally grabs her hand.

She smiles brightly, where her eyes crinkled on the sides and her cheeks pushed upon her face. She looked ethereally.

“I love you.”

Her final words in her honey-soaked voice sent shockwaves to his heart as her hand slowly slipped out his.

He screamed and yelled as he tried to grasp onto her hand again but she kept slipping more and more into the dark.

The sky is bright from her smile as she sent up the stars to send him on without her

“I love you too.”
