a/n: hi anon!! i loved writing for this request sm so thank u for sending it <3 i did, however, completely forget to write abt the part about them taking the bath together. im so sorry 😭 but i hope u still enjoy :(( about one spider-man kiss and a ton of domestic!peter

peter knows exactly what he needs right now after a long day.

there’s only one thing in the world that could make up for having a shitty day and that’s you.

but unfortunately for peter, when he patters into your shared apartment, you’re nowhere to be found.

“babe?” he calls out.

he strips himself of his shoes and walks down the short hall to your bedroom, only to find the closet open and your work clothes missing. peter skrinks at your absence and pouts, “great.”

he ponders about taking a nap, but it’s a quarter to nine and he’d rather be awake when you arrive home.

when his stomach growls, he realizes he’s gone almost an entire day without a proper meal, save for the granola bar you shoved in his hand before he kissed you goodbye.

as he enters the kitchen, he finds a note left on the counter, scribbled in your handwriting,

“emergency shift at the hospital, back by 9 tonite. food in the fridge, love you!”

peter frowns at your note, sticks it onto the fridge, and pulls out the meal you prepared for him.

he heats up the food and chews the stale chicken slowly. he really misses you. even with your bland food and lack of seasoning, he still enjoys anything from you. you try your best for him.

when he’s finished cleaning his dishes, peter debates on showering. he wants to wait for you, to take a nice hot shower with you, and clean each other’s stress away. but he’s really stinky from work, and he’d rather just go to bed with you. so he undresses and takes a long shower alone.

peter’s prayers are answered when he reenters the shared bedroom dressed in pajamas.

“hi baby,” you chirp. you take off your glasses and set the book you were reading aside.

peter’s heart swells at the sight. you’re laying on your side of the bed, hair in a bun, away from your face. you’re dressed in your boyfriend’s plaid boxers and a geeky t-shirt you stole from his dresser.

the tv is playing some rerun of your favorite tv show as he crawls himself across the bed and plops himself in between your open legs.

peter nests his heavy head upon your pelvis and lets out a deep sigh. your palms run down his clad back, kneading the tense muscles.

“did you eat yet?” he tries to nod his head, “yea, chicken was good, super tasty, thanks, y/n/n” he replies.

he may or not be telling you the whole truth. you’re cooking wasn’t amazing, but he would never tell you that.

peter flips himself over, staring at you adoringly upside down. your soft hands trace his buff arms, comfort spreading throughout his skin from your touch, “what happened today, petey?”

he exhales, furrowing his brows, and squeezes his eyes shut. he juts his bottom lip out while you weave your fingers and pull through his damps locks.

“everything went wrong today. everything,” he takes a deep breath, “i was late for biochem, had a pop quiz for psych. not that it was hard but still. i forgot i had tutoring today too, so i'm out fifteen bucks. and we were understaffed for work, so that was a bust. so many mean customers in queens,” he takes a look at you, “we should move somewhere else.”

you snicker at his comment and slide your fingers over his funky left eyebrow, smoothing out the knit and massaging his temples, “yea, like where?”

you love all versions of peter, but you think this is your favorite. relaxed at your touch, devoting himself wholeheartedly to you. he’s embraced and fully engulfed by you, like putty in your hands.

“like,” your boyfriend seems distracted, voice deep, staring at you with nothing but affection, “sunnyside? maybe?” peter licks his lips and clears his throat, “just somewhere safer, nicer. for you.”

you’re beaming down at his face; your warm hands cup his cheeks while you land a long and overdue tender kiss upside down. you feel peter smile into the kiss, exhaling through his nose in contentment.

you keep your hands on his face and gently caress the soft skin as you pull away.

“that sounds nice,” your heart squeezes at the thought as he continues, “we could settle down there, have a family, you know? white picket fence and all. ‘m picturing you in your hot scrubs, bringin’ home the bacon. and i’ll be at home, taking care of the kids.”

you’re giggling at the scene as you chime in, “and we could have family dinners every saturday night, or- ooh! i could take yoga classes sunday mornings and-”

peter snickers at you, “what you need are some cooking classes.”

gasping, you flick his forehead, “you said you loved my cooking!”

note: ngl i meant to post this in dec as an end of 2022 sort of thing and as a bit of an apology for my inactivity,, but my mental health has not been fantastic,, but here are some of my favorite seventeen fics that i’ve read !! also ps pls feel free to send me some of ur own favs bc i miss reading fics && i’m begrudgingly admitting that i’m not great at finding fics,, like sm of these i have to thank yeona for sending me :00

UNDER THE SUN - @wooahaes (series // fantasy/darl+ing au // multi ot13 part)

i think i’ve rbed almost all the individual parts if ur interested in my more specific thoughts but this series has been an absolute comfort series for me for a while !! the relationships between the members and the reader - both platonic and romantic have been so lovely to read !! it’s such a genuinely warm series and the worldbuilding is also just soso fantastic !! it is a fantasy sort of au,, so it’s a bit daunting to get into just because the logic of the universes created in this genre is a bit difficult to grasp,, but uts has such an easy to comprehend world and everything is explained so clearly !! it’s genuinely one of the most comforting fics i’ve read this year and one that i’d highly recommend to pretty much everyone,, even if u aren’t a carat :D

APARTMENT A5C - @suhnshinehaos (smau - college au)

my favorite svt smau that combines some of my fav tropes/aus (housemates and uni) !! ++ i’d argue there’s a found family aspect that just melts my heart soso much,, like the reader’s relationship with the 96 line, both platonic and romantic are insanely heartwarming and comforting !! the banter is so entertaining && all of the additional friendships are just to die for !! esp sana and yuta with the reader !! but honestly this smau is just soso sweet and a story where u really root for the main couple to get together bc they just fit each other so well !! def another fic i’d recommend to anyone !!

LOVESTRUCK @/suhnshinehaos (smau - college au)

short endings for the reader’s other housemates !! has the same entertaining banter and cute relationship buildup that is just soso perfect to read after apartment a5c to treat ur post fic sadness <3 all the relationships are formed in a shorter period of time, but with just that same amount of investment !!

CHOI SEUNGCHEOL

OBVIOUS - @leejungchans (0.9k words - wedding florist and baker au)

so stinking cute !! the reader and seungcheol having related businesses and appreciating each other’s dedications to their respective crafts is soso endearing :D genuinely my fav seungcheol fic bc hello ? good writing + sulky cheol + established relationship ? an absolute 10/10 and must read that i revisit way too often :D

half of these r gonna b recs from sol’s masterlist,, but her works r just too good !! this fic is so darn cute and entertaining, with jeonghan’s antics + his classic attention n care for those in his life were captured so well !! him remembering the reader’s order and his sheer dedication to orchestrating an opportunity for a conversation outside of the reader placing their order was just so fun to read && is genuinely a fic i reread time and time again :D

this. this is so insanely endearing hello ?? jeonghan as a preschool teacher is absolutely perfect, and the banter mixed with such tender love that the reader and jeonghan share is just so <3 it’s a relatively short read,, so i’d highly, HIGHLY, recommend giving this a read because it’s soso worth it,, esp if ur feeling a bit down and in need of something fun and sweet to read :D

such whirlwind of emotions but soso insanely riveting !! bad boy jeonghan,,, oh my gosh a concept i (YOU !!) never knew i (YOU !!) needed in my life. him driving a motorcycle. him w tattoos. insane. amazing. fantastic. and a redemption arc ??? reader holding him accountable for wrongdoings ??? genuine efforts to change ?? go read it rn !! u must !!

another charming and lovely fic !!! i’m such a sucker for the secret relationship trope,, and this fic had such a fantastic take on it !! i adored the dynamic that jeonghan and the reader had, esp how much they cared for and rooted for each other :DD the banter at work and the tender love they share at home was also just,, absolutely chef’s kiss !!

You were obviously trying your best so your crush, Kozume Kenma, would understand how you felt about him. You weren’t scared about telling him ; in fact, you really wanted him to know about your feelings, but the boy was completely oblivious of your love. You tried a lot of things, but it was like he wasn’t understanding on purpose.

You were always stealing his jacket, or waiting for him after practice. You didn’t want to simply confess to him, because it was too brutal and you knew how Kenma was with this type of thing. You wanted to be subtle, but he wasn’t getting it. It wasn’t like you were too subtle either, because everyone else understood what was happening.

Tetsuro decided to help you in your conquest of Kenma’s heart. He was his best friend, and you were probably the sweetest girl he knew ; there was no way he would do anything against your potential relationship. Tetsuro was sure that you would be amazing for Kenma, and that you could help him with a lot of things. This is how his plan started.

Making Kenma realize things seemed to be an easy task, because the boy was more intelligent than anyone in this school ; so why couldn’t he understand you? Tetsuro tried to push things over him, to talk about you in a weird flirty kind of way but nothing was working. Kenma simply didn’t seem to care. He almost started to think that he didn’t really care about you.

It was until that match. Nekoma was playing against Karasuno for a friendly match, like they frequently did. It wasn’t a special event, the two schools spending a lot of time together when Karasuno was coming to the city. But today, you were spending more time with Karasuno than with Nekoma ; and more specifically with their captain, Sawamura.

You were currently talking with him, a smile on your lips. You laughed slightly at something he said, and it seemed to be too much for Kenma. He came closer to you two, grabbing your sleeve. You turned your face to look at him, raising your eyebrows when you saw the frown that was on his face. Did something happen when you were busy? You almost started to worry. He didn’t say anything, simply pulling on your sleeve to ask you to come with him.

You excused yourself to Sawamura before you followed the setter of Nekoma, a sense of worry rising inside your chest. Both of you stopped a few steps away, and Kenma stayed silent in front of you. You wanted to say something, but he didn’t give you the time to.

“I don’t like to see you laugh with Sawamura-san. Don’t do that,” he said, with his usual frown. You seemed a bit surprised, not expecting him to react this way. Was he… jealous? Kenma? It really was surprising. He didn’t seem to be this kind of person. But you wouldn’t say it to him, it wasn’t a good idea.

“Sorry, I didn’t think it would bother you,” you answered honestly to him and he shook his head slightly. He grabbed your sleeve once again, playing with it.

“Laugh with me, not someone else.” You felt your heart threatening to explode in your chest. Did he really say this? Was he trying to say something else? A smile appeared on your lips, and you nodded with no hesitation.

“Fine, I’ll keep my laugh for you,” you said, a slight blush over your cheeks. He looked into your eyes, a small pout on his lips. Maybe he was completely oblivious and bad with his feelings, but at least, he was trying.

kenma is a menace most of the time but I love to hc him as a soft boy when it comes to those kind of things <3

Beel noticed how you were more kept to yourself as he gulfed down another cheeseburger. He stared at you before speaking. "Y/N??" he asks. Beel noticed your rather sad expression as you looked up at the red haired demon sitting in front of you on his bed.

"are you sad Y/N??.." Beel asked softly, focusing his attention on you. As you sighed his expression softened further. "do you still...like me? at all? i mean, i feel so unattractive sometimes Beel" you replied quietly.

Beel furrowed his brows as soon as he heard you talking negatively about yourself. "Y/N. did someone make u feel this way?" he asks, his vibe shifting from concern to serious.

"Do you still like me?? i mean..im not even remotely as good looking as the people you're constantly surrounded with" You said, staring at Mammon. He furrowed his brows, his hands moving to your face to cup your cheeks.

"How dare ya believe the great Mammon wouldn't like you Y/N. i very much like you...you're the most attractive looking person in all 3 worlds to me. I wouldn't dare think otherwise, your my human, and you always will be....i love you.." He replies, muttering the 'i love you'

Peter sets your coffee down in front of you with a kiss to the top of your head. You raise it to your lips on autopilot, blowing gently.

“Thanks,” you murmur.

“No sweat.” His hand lingers on your shoulder. Instead of going back to his video game, he leans down to peer at your laptop screen. “Hey, this isn’t Jane Austen.”

“No,” you confirm. Ordinarily, this is where you’d think up something witty to say. Like you would know the difference, science geek or I didn’t know you knew how to read words that didn’t end in -ion. You find you don’t have the energy. “I turned in the Austen essay earlier today. This one’s for my Flannery O’Connor class.”

“What?” Peter’s voice pitches upward excitedly. He tugs your shoulder so you’re facing him, crowding your eyeline. “Baby, that’s amazing! You’re done!”

“I’m not done,” you say, covering your disappointment with a shrug and a small smile. “I still have this essay due by the end of the week.”

“But you’re done with the Austen one!” Your boyfriend won’t allow his ebullience to be dampened, giving your shoulder a happy squeeze. “You worked on that for days, sweetheart, it must feel so great to have it turned in.”

You take another sip of your coffee, refocusing on the blinking cursor on your screen. Your eyes ache. “Yeah, I guess so.”

“Hey.” Peter’s hand cuts across your vision, turning your face back towards him. “You deserve to celebrate at least a little, don’t you think? How long do you have until this essay is due?”

“A couple days.”

“Sick.” His touch leaves your cheek, and you hear the click of your laptop shutting. “Take the night off.”

“Peter.” Your sigh is long and heavy. You swear you feel some essential part of you leave with it. “I can’t. I need to get this done.”

He works his hand between your back and the desk chair, encouraging you out of it. “You’ve got plenty of time to do it,” he reassures you, palm finding its favored spot on the small of your back to guide you towards the sofa. “I felt weird about giving you coffee at night anyways. We’ll switch it out for some tea, get cozy on the couch, just take it easy for the night. You could use a break.”

You really could, but you’re not sure you can afford one. You cast a glance back toward your laptop, abandoned and beckoning with a cold imperativeness from your desk. “Let me just get this paragraph down…”

But Peter is determined, setting one hand on each of your shoulders to push you down onto the cushions. “It’ll still be there tomorrow,” he says, sitting next to you and settling you against his side before you can try to get up. He tilts his head as he meets your gaze, brown eyes sharp and more discerning than you think you’re comfortable with. “Look, I wasn’t gonna pull this card, but you’re not acting like yourself. This whole quiet and ghostlike thing is freaking me out.”

He turns up a corner of his mouth to let you know he’s at least partly joking. You crack a smile in return. Peter pecks your cheek and goes on, encouraged.

“Just give me tonight, sweetheart. If you wanna go back to Flannery at nine tomorrow morning, I won’t stop you, but give yourself at least a few hours off.”

You shouldn’t be surprised he’d remembered which class your essay was for, but you are. You suspect that if you looked hard enough, you’d eventually find an encyclopedia your boyfriend has filled with tiny things to remember about you. It’s the only explanation.

You really are tired.

“Okay,” you say, and he actually fist-pumps, your favorite dork. “Just let me make the tea, okay? You never steep it long enough.”

Peter rolls his eyes, smiling as he kisses the skin next to your eye. “Such a perfectionist,” he says fondly. “How about I make us hot chocolate instead, and then you won’t have to worry about it?”

My Angry Bird

You were sitting on the stands near the benches of the players with your VIP pass as one of Gavi's family members hearing everyone yell "P*** Barça" as your boyfriend walked out of the pitch.

You saw from his face that he heard it, looking sad and disappointed but still choosing to ignore them instead of reacting like he often does. You were very proud that he had matured quite a bit during this season and didn't let their words pull him into a problem.

You were escorted to the pitch as Pablo walked towards you having plastic bottles and trash thrown at him from the stands paired with the constant insults. The worst part is that it came from the Spanish fans. I hugged him tightly while he hid his face into my neck away from the hateful fans from the stands.

"You should go home, amor.." he said sadly not wanting things thrown at you as well because he was near you and you gave him a sad look holding his face and pressing your lips to his.

"You won and nobody can take that away from you mi vida" you say and he gave you a weak smile kissing your lips once more before helping you walk towards the tunnel followed by boos and angry screams.

"Gavi, Hijo de Puta!!" they screamed and you felt Pablo tighten his fists but you took them in your hands placing them around your waist instead. Pablo loved his mom so much and to hear them insult her like that was certainly crossing the line.

"Bet I can have your girl Gavi!" some fan said and I felt Pablo try to move towards him but I stopped him turning my head to the side.

"No you can't gilipollas!" I said while snaking Pablo's arms around my waist and hugging him tightly as he sighed heavily.

"Go celebrate with your friends, and I will see you at home mi amor" you said and he nodded kissing your lips before leaving back to the pitch away from the booing insults.

When he came home, you were already in your pajamas watching Friends on TV while snacking on come ice cream.

“Welcome home, cariño” you said and he just plopped on the bed besides you laying in your arms and resting his face into your neck.

You moved the ice cream to the side, pausing the episode and starting to play with his hair gently.

“It’s one thing to be disrespectful to my club but insulting my mom and you…I just can’t take it anymore amor” he finally spoke tears falling down his face and I kissed his nose smiling sweetly.

“You had such an amazing season amor. You won LaLiga and Nationals. You put in the work and you deserve it all mi vida. Those people hate that you still succeeded despite everything..and I was so proud you didn’t let them provoke you” you said while he listened to you with big eyes and pity face that looked just too adorable.

“I was so close to punching his stupid face when he said he could have you!” He said frustrated and you smiled nodding your head knowing how protective he gets.

“But you didn’t because you know you are the only one who can have me amor” you said and he smiled nodding his head and leaving wet kisses on your neck.

“I promised you an interview if we win..so let’s do it on live?” He said and you asked him whether he is sure he is up for it and nodded his head giving you your phone to start the live.

The moment you turned it on there was already 30k viewers asking questions and leaving comments for the two of you to read.

“How does it feel to win your first national title?”you read one of the comments and he smiled laying his head in your shoulder and saying how

exciting it was to lift that trophy.

he’s never been one for social media in general other than the occasional devilgram post that diavolo asked for, so he doesn’t really know what you’re talking about until you show him a video.

becomes intrigued and a tad smug once he finds out.

he doesn’t participate in trends but he can make an exception for this (and for you).

“you should wear lipstick in the house more often, my dear. you look beautiful.”

“flatterer,” you giggle, gently placing your hand under his chin and tilting his head upwards– your thumb slowly dragging against his bottom lip. oh, you know how weak that makes him, evident in the way he squeezes your waist ever-so-slightly at the action. the response is subtle but it’s there.

“ready?” you ask, but he doesn’t get a chance to answer before you kiss his lips, more gently than he was expecting. he’s about to quickly recover and reciprocate– but you’ve already moved on to the rest of his face.

he feels your lips on his cheeks, on his forehead, his jaw, his throat, the sensitive spot on his neck only you know– and he doesn’t have to look into a mirror to learn that he’s absolutely covered in lipstick. it’ll be an absolute pain to take off but that’s just more time spent with his beloved human master. and what else could he ask for?

all too soon, you’ve pulled away and he bashfully looks down in an effort to save face.

“look at me, luci,” he obeys without hesitation, you’re the only one he’ll permit to call him that (among other things).

“you should wear lipstick in the house more often,” you tease, repeating his words. he narrows his eyes to look intimidating– like the demon he really is but it’s a fruitless effort. you’ve never been as scared as you should be when it comes to him.

you smile and give him one last peck on his nose. “going to set it up now, i won’t be long.” their phone is on his desk but he knows that you’re referring to how clingy the demons in this house can be, including himself.

he doesn’t take his eyes off you as reapply the lipstick in front of the camera and he watches you purposely mess it up. he takes your chin in his hand as you did with him just like in the rest of those videos, and gently rubs off the smudged colour. there isn’t a trace of his previously flustered state and everything is perfect and done in one try. as expected from someone like him.

you end the recording within a few seconds and turn to him– but before you can escape his hold he asks, “someone needs to be held responsible for all of this.”

“all of what?” you reply cheekily. “i don’t see anything wrong.”

he doesn’t have time to give a response before you kiss him once again. he all but sighs into it, and your teeth nip the soft skin of his mouth in the way you’ve learned he adores. by the end of it all, his lips are swollen and your lipstick is just as messy as his.

and when he watched the video, he immediately pictured the two of you doing it. safe to say the rest of that night was spent in embarrassment.

is so glad you’re the one who suggested it because as much as he tries, he could not get his mind off of this.

“you should take a picture, mams. it’ll last longer,” blood rushes to his cheeks at being caught, despite not being very subtle in the first place.

“don’t know what you’re talking about,” he grumbles, looking away in an attempt to hide his flustered state. suddenly, he feels your hand on his jaw gently turning his head to look at you. when did you get here so fast?! he doesn’t have a chance to truly think about it before he feels your lips on his.

it’s only a chaste kiss, but his eyes and the slight rise ‘n’ fall of his chest make it look like you’ve just stolen his breath away. he breaks out of his reverie when you raise your eyebrows, challenging him to say something.

“o-oi! give a guy a warning before you pull a stunt like that!” he’s not truly angry, of course. evident with the flush on his cheeks and the fact that he hasn’t let go of you.

“that kiss was the warning, mammon. there’s a lot more where that came from– unless you want to stop?”

“i never said that–” he’s cut off once again by another kiss. this time, he makes sure to shut up, just in case you do stop.

and it’s nice, letting himself get pampered. you’ve always been affectionate with him, much more than you are with his brothers (take that lucifer, and the rest of you punks), but it never ceases to make his hearts skip a beat. his arms are wrapped around you as he continues to feel your lips all over his face but eventually, you reach elsewhere. you gently nibble and suck on the sensitive parts of his neck– and he quickly gulps, trying to hide how much this is really affecting him. and it’s stupid really, you’ve given hickeys before, why is he so affected every time? but you soon pull away and he has to stop himself from leaning in.

“whoops, i think i got too carried away.” whoops? whoops?!

“this isn’t part of the trend…” he says, acting like he didn’t immensely enjoy everything.

“think of it as an added bonus,” you give him one last peck under his eye before taking out your phone and setting up the video.

as he impatiently waits for you to hurry up and finish so you could continue where you left off, he sees his reflection in a nearby mirror. and good god, he was a sight. already, the hickeys were starting to form (he swears it’s not his fault, you must’ve put a spell so they would appear for the trend), and he was absolutely covered in lipstick stains. some bright, some faded, some clear and some smudged. and his neck was more of a mess than his face was.

he doesn’t know why he’s surprised at the sight, but he is. imagining it in his head and truly seeing what he looked like was completely different.

“ready, treasure?”

“u-uhh– yeah, yeah i’m ready,” is he really going to show this to the world? …yes, without a doubt. he’ll prove to everyone that you wanted to do this with him and him alone. you wanted to cover him in kisses and show the realms that he’s yours– no one else.

he sucks in a breath just before you start recording and puts on his model/actor face. if he was going to do this, he was going to do it right. he stares as you apply the lipstick and purposefully mess it up– and he reaches over, gently rubbing off the smudge and turns your head to face him with his index finger.

the process is quick and it’s over before he knows it. the recording stops and suddenly, he feels himself being pushed onto the bed by a gust of wind, followed quickly by the human who probably caused it.

“you look cute like this, mind if i give you more?”

no he did not think of you when he first saw it. no he did not scroll through dozens of videos as he imagines you doing something like this to him.

he hears footsteps nearing his bathtub and he’s suddenly met with a kiss on his cheek. it’s light and quick but he scrambles his words like a high school boy seeing his first crush.

“y-you can’t do that! i have to prepare for the battle first, give me time to equip a few weapons so i can handle this boss fight–”

he’s cut off by yet another kiss, but your lips linger just a second longer than truly necessary. you let go and he’s about to let out the most pathetic wobbly whine known to demon and man before he feels a gentle pressure on his forehead, then his nose– and all over the rest of his face.

he swears he’s about to faint, this is so sudden! a surprise attack to render him defenceless against your onslaught of everlasting affection that makes sure to leave a permanent mark on his heart.

levi feels light-headed once you’re done and he almost doesn’t hear your voice calling out to him.

“levi? leeevviiiiii, you okay?”

he’s so obviously not and you know this, yet you still choose to ask. still, he gives a nod as best as he can with his head on the edge of his bathtub– hoping the cold of the glass will help him regain thought.

and thankfully it works (for the most part, he’s still in a bit of a daze and he thinks he’ll never be able to get rid of the pink dusting his cheeks). he watches you set up your phone near him, press record and reapply your lipstick. you smudge it and he quickly gathers his thoughts the best he can and wipes the mark off for you. …you really are beautiful, especially with the blue light of his room gently hitting your face and that teasing smile.

you turn away as soon as the audio finishes (he pats himself on the back for getting it in one try) and quickly turn to him.

“soo… you wanna cuddle in your bathtub? you look like you need it.”

"Look, look- they have a whole section on rocks! Kinda basic selection but it's still rocks!"

You never thought you'd be able to learn so much about rocks in one day, but it seemed like Venture had made it their personal mission to force as much information into your brain as possible. You didn't mind, really! It was always nice listening to them rant about all the cool stuff they found while walking around the museum you'd planned to bring them to, but it was a lot to take in at once.

"Augh, I love sedimentary rocks- they're my favorite! 'cuz sometimes they have like, little fossils in them and I'm like, "Woah! A cool thing in another cool thing!" and it's awesome! One time I found a trilobite fossil in a rock, it was so cool! I wonder if they have any here- that'd be so amazing! I wonder what they taste like-"

After spilling every single fact they could think of about the rocks on display, Venture drags you to a section of the museum dedicated to Egyptian history, though they mostly just seemed interested in the architecture of the pyramids. You really did try to listen, but you mostly just caught the gist of their long, long, long explanations- something about a Mastaba being like a sort of prototype to pyramids? You were just happy to see them so excited, even if you didn't quite understand what they were so hyped about.

"Oh, if only that British lady could go back to ancient Egypt and get the architects of their time to answer my questions! I'd give anything to be able to do that!" Sensing the slight disappointment creeping up on them, you decide to try and bring Venture elsewhere, not wanting them to spend any energy on being upset by what they can't do.

"Why don't we go look at the dinosaur fossils? I'm sure there's some mistakes in the descriptions that you can correct!" You take their hand, gently pulling them away from the long essay-like description of images of the pyramids that they were reading. Incising them with promises of being able to show off their intensive knowledge of dinosaur fossils, or fossils in general.

Venture perked up almost immediately, following behind you as they ready themselves to go on and on about their favorite dinosaur ever, the Deinocheirus! You tried to ask why it was their favorite ones, and all they said was something about it being "them fr fr" and having rocks in its stomach. You weren't too keen on questioning that one.

They take a large step so they're walking next to you, swinging your arms as you walk, "It's always been one of my biggest goals to find a dinosaur fossil! I really hope I do one day, if I did I could die happy!"

"Please don't die- I would be so sad if you died." You squeeze their hand, voice light as you joke with them.

"Aw but I wanna! I wanna be a fossil for future people like me to discover! When I do die I wanna be buried with a bunch of cool stuff! Maybe mess around with my bones a little, just to throw 'em off!" As you finally reach the fossil exhibits, they abandon you to run off and check over every. single. fossil. which while endearing, gave you a lot of running to do in an attempt to catch up.

"Finally! For once a museum that gets everything right! Well, everything as far as we know-" They stand next to one of the larger fossils, not anything you recognized as you take your place next to them, catching your breath.

"Wow, how impressive-" you wheeze, standing up straight and stretching out your legs as you link arms with Venture, trying to stop them from running off on you again.

They laugh, grabbing you by the shoulder and dragging you in the tightest hug you've ever received.

"Thank you, so, so, so much for planning this. And for listening to me talk about rocks so much, and for caring about me- and a million other things! I can't even remember everything you've done for me, but I know its a lot!" The day Ellie Williams asked you out was truly the best day of your life.

It all started with small smiles, gentle touches and loving gazes. You knew from the first day you laid eyes on Ellie, that you wanted to be with her. And never in a million dreams did you think that you stood a chance with someone as beautiful such as Ellie.

You didn't regret asking her for her number. You didn't regret saying yes when she asked you on a date that day. But the more you think about it, the more realized maybe you should’ve said no.

You quickly excused yourself and you ran down the hall in the storage room where you and Ellie would always meet each other.

She had a girlfriend? What? You thought she liked you?

You and Ellie were never official, but you went on dates. You held hands. You kissed her for fucks sake. You were the other women. Ellie didn't care for you as much as you thought. She was using you.

You heard the door handle of the storage room rattle. You looked up and you quickly wiped away your tears: "Ellie?" You questioned, with a hopeful voice.

"No it's me!" You heard Dina’s voice yelled back. "Ellie went home with her girlfriend so you'll have to take her shift"

You let out a sigh as you felt the tears flow freely once again.

You were supposed to be mad at her. You were supposed to hate her. But you called out for her? You would never admit it out loud but you were actually waiting for her. You were waiting for Ellie to come and apologize and to say that this was all a misunderstanding. You silently sat there crying.

"Jesse told me that you were serious when you said you wanted to work the night shift" she spoke, as she brought her right hand up to awkwardly scratch the back of her neck.

You didn’t know if you wanted to punch her or kiss her.

Ellie’s gaze fell down to her feet and the two of you were surrounded by silence.

Since when is it so quite at 1 in the morning?

"Why are you here?" You finally asked again.

Ellie looked up at you once again. She hesitated. She opened and closed her mouth a couple of times. The words weren't coming out.

‘she's so fucking pathetic’ you thought to yourself.

"Are you here to apologize? To make yourself feel better?", you spoke again.

Ellie looked taken aback, her facial expression morphed into a face of confusion? Hurt? You couldn't tell.

"I love you-" Ellie started, you let out a laugh even before she could finish.

"If you loved me, why was I the other women?" You questioned.

Ellie fell silent. She stared at you. She was at a loss for words. How could you say such a thing? You knew nothing about her situation. You didn't know that she can Cat had been in a loveless relationship for years. You didn't know how much she loved you. You didn't know how alive you made her feel.

Ellie was brought back to reality when you spoke: "You can't even fucking speak to me".

You let out a sigh as you took a step back to close the door. Ellie’s large hand reached out to try and stop it, but you were too quick. You closed the door in her face. Ellie put her forehead against your front door as tears streamed down her cheeks. She heard your voice from behind the door:

Ellie turned away from your door, her hand gripping her shirt as she started sobbing.

Loud sounds of crying filled the quite streets of Jackson as Ellie stood at your door realizing that she lost you.

If feels like you've been starved for years without Ellie’s touch. And you fear that even if your finger just lightly touched her you'd lose your mind.

You already felt guilty enough when you found out Ellie had a girlfriend, you didn't want to make a fool out of yourself by confessing your undying love to her.

You walked out of Jesse's office and into the locker room. Ellie was in there. You walked right past her, going to your locker you quickly pulled out your bag.

"Wait our shifts are starting right now, where are you going?" She questioned.

"I'm working the night shift from now on" you replied as you made your way to the door. You felt so cold hand grab your wrist and when you turned around and you were met with Ellie’s pleading eyes.

"If you work night shift I won't be able to see you" she spoke softly.

You forcefully removed your arm from Ellie’s grip.

"go see your fucking girlfriend"

You turned away from Ellie, walking to the door and you stopped. It was as if your feet were glued to the floor. You slowly turned around to face Ellie once again.

"I'll never be able to forgive you" you muttered softly and you looked at the girl you had so much love for.

"Please try" Ellie begged.

"I'll leave her" Ellie quickly reasoned with you, to make you stay.

You shook your head as you dropped your bag onto the floor. You made your way towards Ellie as you once again muttered “I can't fucking forgive you" as you wrapped your arms her neck, her lips soon crashed into yours.

The kiss was intense. You've been starved from Ellie, and this was your first taste in months.

Teeth crashing into each other, heavy breathes filled the room, and hands were roaming.

You pulled away and you looked at Ellie for the last time.

Her eyes blown wide, her lips swollen her chest rapidly rising.

You once again moved from her grip as you picked up your bag.

"Remember Ellie will come in at 9 tomorrow" Jesse yelled as he walked out the front door of the Café. He gave you a small wave, as the bell chimed when the door finally closed.

"yeah I know" you yelled back.

You hoped that one day you'd stop working the night shift.

And maybe, just maybe you'd be able to move on from Ellie.

But till then you'd rather torture yourself than to be in the same room as Ellie fucking Williams.
