I do love translation and I do love studying it and I do love how every culture has its own specific characteristics you will not find in another one, I do love the diversity, I swear, but it is damn inconvenient when you are supposed to translate it-

What better way to prepare for my third year of medical school than to buy new stationary? || 13.08.2022 Lux

This week was so exciting!
Met a lot of awesome people, went to a freshmen party and attended an 8am lecture the next day :D and also had my first ever anatomy lab in the dissection-room (nothing too crazy tho since we were only looking at bones) 🤓

Going back to uni is like signing up to anxiety plus. Like I have low-key anxiety all the time but at uni I get all these new cool extra features like panic attacks and nausea
Doesn’t help that I have two exams and two essays (which haven’t been set yet) due first week

I finally got some new stationary and damn if you'd told 12 y.o me I'd get all the cute pink stuff she'd probably be confused. I have a big project coming up regarding a historical event and I couldn't be more hyped as a history nerd~!

I head back to university tomorrow, so this post is aptly timed with the return to my semester long affair with caffeine. The Coffee Break socks come out in just over a week (September 16th), and are my sock-shaped reminder to take my time and keep my calm even when it seems like the rest of world is speeding up.
Plus, now that cooler weather is coming, I get to wear all my cozy and comforting clothes, wool socks included.

It tickles my brain how much knowledge I can fit inside of it. How many words I can learn in four different languages and still have room for more. It's all stuck there and I'm pouring in more and more every day, hoping I won't explode because there will always be more words, more books, more lessons.

First day back on campus in four months and I arrived with:
- no notebook or journal so I can't do the two things I planned to do
- no laptop charger and 9% battery
- >100 pages of my book left and I don't own the next in the series
.... I think it's going to take a long time to get back to pre summer levels of productivity 😭 At least my phone is charged I guess?

24 August 2022 | Planning
After realising I had quite a lot of readings to do for my first seminar of the new academic year, I had to bring out the ole planning pad. I’ve signed up to quite a few shifts at work and all of a sudden I felt like maybe I’d taken on too much. Visualising my time helps so much and I calculated that I actually have 46 study hours possible if I follow a 9-18 schedule. Phew! If I’m lucky I might be able to get some studying done at work but I know that’s usually just wishful thinking.
