Mammon, The Sin of Greed.

Hi guys guess what I've been thinking about [<- got sucked back into religion hyperfixation. Again]. This is Mammon, from my silly little passion project ! I've talked about the concept for it before , but recently it has hit me like a bunch of rocks. So, here's the new name for it: HELLBREAKER ! hopefully I don't drop it or something haha. Some extra info under cut !

This is not the first Mammon, nor will he be the last. Not a fallen angel, like the first who came before, nor a king, like the ones before: It is a mass of wire, cog and machine. He was born along with the industrial revolution, representing the greed that laid beneath automation, that came with mass production, that fed on the Need to have More. An unfeeling, hoarding thing, that consumes life itself for its own gain. It has no other wants or needs or feelings, though it simulates them– doesn't actually bother with any of it. All it will ever want is everything, forever.

His "human" design is based off of Elon Musk. Are you surprised.

Hands/Repetition motif mainly ! It's always reaching for more and more and more and more, and it is never satisfied with just one.

Divine Machine and The Fleshy Humanity turned into one big horrible demonic thing. Me when I lose my divinity due to my own selfish desire 🤣

Its wires are the only thing keeping its flimsy "human" form, because it deadass just doesn't have organs. It was too inconvenient ! (It also connects it to all the other security cameras, so it wasn't thattt badd)

I was kind of inspired by Iron Lung for his actual demon form, but also The Thing from...... well. You know. The Thing.

Honestly one of my favorite songs for character breakup playlists lol. At the moment, it’s on my character playlist for the demon prince Mammon! It’s all about the process of getting over someone, and in Mammon’s case, he’s Surely still in that process, even if he won’t admit it. The cheerful overtones mask the poetic layer where the singer confesses how difficult it was to get through the grief, and Mammon is no longer grieving. He is angry under his thin veil of civility. Can’t wait to see how that bites him in the ass 😌
